Bought a $2500.00 fridge in Dec. 2012. By July, we were dealing with our 4th repair. Customer service in warranty department is non-existent. They act like you are a bother and have no right to demand replacement. I sent an email. No response. I wrote a letter to Corporate. No response. Not until I made comments on Facebook. Then I get a call offering me an extended warranty (which I already had purchased) so they said they would give another year (total of 3). This was a few weeks ago. I still have yet to receive anything or hear anything. This morning, our fridge is on the fritz again. I am loathe to have to deal with them again, but have no choice. Its either deal with them or throw out the 8 month old unit and buy something else. I should not even have to consider that. Whirlpool is a huge company. I do not understand their reluctance to just replace a product that is obviously defective unless they have no confidence in a replacement unit. This is so frustrating and upsetting to me. I did my research. I thought I was getting a quality product from a quality company. What a disappointment.

My side-by-side refrigerator leaks water. I find water on the floor but we cant find the source. When I called Whirlpool, they stated its not under warranty, but we can schedule a repair appointment, I declined. Im still looking for the leak. Its intermittent, sometimes I dont see water for a while. The last fridge we had, we had to get rid of it because the sides and front got too hot to the touch. I was afraid it would cause a fire.

Purchased Model # wtw5000DW0 Jan 3, 2015. Aug 15, 2015 started leaking water. Certified technician came to repair. Aug 17 - new transmission. Sept 3 replaced new transmission with another new transmission. Sept 8 called master technician at Whirlpool, needs new clutch assembly. Both technicians stated they dont know what is wrong with the machine. Sept 10 new clutch assembly and agitator replaced. The machine still makes a horrible grinding noise and is unusable. The technician has replaced everything but Whirlpool says it is still fixable. The Master technician has no idea what is wrong with my machine yet he refuses to call it broken. I have been without a washing machine for 3 1/2 weeks. They refuse to offer a return authorization number. I have spoken to a Supervisor on the phone. She states the warranty is for repair. They wont admit their product is a piece of garbage. They have lost a customer. She stated she will put my complaint in a file.

My comments are similar to all the other comments on here regarding the Whirlpool Cabrio washer: I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 5 years ago and have been sorry every wash day since. I have to wash my clothes twice because the machine doesnt fill the tub with enough water to get the clothes clean. I have tried using the bulky setting for all loads to try to get the water level high enough to at least cover the clothes. This is a terrible design and the worst piece of junk. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again...

We bought a Whirlpool freezer-bottom 18.5 cu ft. fridge from Lowes. The compressor broke in less than three months of regular use. I called Whirlpool who sent A&E to check it out. The technician didnt even file a report and lied to me about what was wrong with the fridge. They sent a different company to come look at it and they confirmed that the compressor is broken. I called Whirlpool customer service and was told that the warranty only covers repairs not replacement even though I paid over $1,000 for a defective product. The excuse: Its a man-made product so we cant guarantee it! So what used to be a 3-5 year warranty not too long ago is now what? A one-year warranty is virtually useless. I can see a future not too far off where there is no warranty at all. Where is the protection for the buyer? If I wanted to purchase a second-hand fridge, I would have. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

My Whirlpool refrigerator is more than a year old but have been complaining
My Whirlpool refrigerator is more than a year old but have been complaining forever it seems. The serial # is 21142009, model WRT777REYWOO. All bottom cords etc. is out and 3 times I had people come out to fix and it never changed. The lettuce drawers freeze and in the freezer leaves ice cream pretty soft. I am so upset about this, and cannot afford a different one, no matter what brand because I paid around $1,000 for it and I am low income (my ss), 73, and disabled. But Whirlpool refrigerators are not worth buying if this is the standard policy to ignore their responsibility here. It leaks water from freezer to meat compartment, and I could go on but seems hopeless. My sister in Oregon had the same one and they took hers out finally so she could apply that amount to a different brand which has no problems.

I purchased a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom
I purchased a Whirlpool 3-door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom on 8/17/12. Within 4 days, the ice maker stopped working. It took two days for the repairman to come out and fix it. So all is well with that. Less than 2 weeks later, the refrigerator isnt cooling. Several days later, the repairman came and determined it was the evaporator fan motor and clutch. The parts were back-ordered for 10 days. Parts came in 2 more days before he can come out and install them. He realized they sent the wrong parts. Another week went by, then he came and replaced the fan motor, which is now making an ear-piercing buzzing sound. He came back a week later and said it needed a gasket, which is back-ordered. In the meantime, he put some stick on insulation around the unit. Not much help. Another week went by, and the gasket showed up. It is still making a high-pitched whining sound. He said it was the compressor. Whatever! I hate the refrigerator. The sound is one that just grates on your nerves and you can hear it in all the rooms surrounding the kitchen! A repairman has to deem it unrepairable before they will even consider replacing it. They consider it fixed. What about my bleeding ears! I just want it gone! I am so disappointed. I thought Whirlpool was a good product with a solid reputation. I have a $2300 noise maker! Is there a class action lawsuit?!

When I had it installed, I thought it had a green film covering the oven door. It is not a film. It is the oven door color. It does not show that or talk about it in any of the literature. I would not have bought or paid to have this range installed. The green color does not go in my kitchen! I would sue them for misinformation if I had the money to spare! My dog is afraid to be anywhere near my Whirlpool side by side fridge. It makes horrible noises every 15 minutes to half an hour. I have to coax her to even let me escort her past. It has been snap crackling pop for several weeks and is getting louder with thumps and clangs. It does sound like the devil inside. Appears to be coming from the freezer side.I do not have the ice maker hooked up . It is plumbed for an ice maker but the servicemen who delivered it advised me they didnt do that . I didnt have the money to hire a plumber. The fridge was a PG& Energy Partners project in which those of certain age and income levels were presented new energy savers in exchange for old ones.Wish Id have kept the old one, especially after reading comments here. A senior, I live by myself in a fairly isolated area. I wonder now if the noise means a fire or electrical problem is imminent. My model number: ED2KVE*V*O, ED2FHE*V*O*

I chose based on the current ratings of the machines. They look nice and they can handle large loads. I think EPA has changed wash machines to be back into the 1920s. I put my clothes in and there is no agitator in the center. My clothes come out twisted tightly into little round circles or balls, not much water but now it takes over an hour to wash my clothes. So we are conserving water but using more power, I also have to iron sheets and clothes because they are so twisted and wrinkled. I used to stick my clothes into the washer, select a cycle and go on my way and now I have to answer 5 other selection options, if I dont hold the button in long enough it just turns off.Have we all lost our minds, I think this is going backwards not forwards. I have talked to other women and they agree with me, we HATE these new washer and dryers. The dryer is a little better but not much. Also the tops are concave so your laundry basket falls off, and you cant put your soap on the dryer which is where I am used to having it. Now I have to clean my washer every 30 cycles, iron and it takes all day to do the laundry, yes and they call this progress, really!!! I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio W10607 425A- SP and dryers Whirlpool W10680129C-SP, these are full size and have the steam options on them and are side by sides.

I bought a Whirlpool High Efficiency top load washer. It does not get the clothes clean. Dark clothes come out with spots all over them. There is not enough water to rinse out the dirt. It is left on the clothes in spots. I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to wash them to get them clean. I am 74 years old and have used Whirlpool appliances all my life. I have dt3 rental houses I keep Whirlpool appliances in. But I wont be buying any more. I had to call the repair man one month after I bought it. He had to recalibrate the machine. If all you want to wash or maybe rinse out is a pair of slacks or a shirt, it might be o.k. but not a load of dirty clothes. It is just a JOKE.

Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4950XW2: I am 74-1/2 years old and I have been doing laundry for more than 50 years. We have always purchased washers of a brand made by Whirlpool. Until now Ive had nothing but the highest of praise. Two months ago, our washer stopped working and we had to shop for another. After looking at all types and brands of washers, we found out that the only type without an agitator was available. With that choice, we ended up buying the model stated above. I literally hate the way these washers pretend to wash clothes! I apply the detergent properly, place the clothes perfectly around the outer part of the tub, etc., and because there is not enough water that goes into the tub for the clothes to wash even one pair of socks, let alone a full load of clothes, I use the 2nd rinse trying to help matters although it doesnt. I dont care about the amount of the water I use to have clean clothes! The clothes sit in there just rubbing against one another, and then when they are finished, the clothes are so tangled you can hardly get them out of washer and into the dryer! Perhaps the designers of all these current washers think they are saving water, but I can tell you that sometimes I will wash mine twice as I know that I do not feel they are clean! (And I am a clean person and the clothes are not real dirty!) I am so unhappy with the decision of purchasing this horrible excuse for a washer that I could shoot myself. I will discourage every person I know from buying one. I will tell them to have their old washer repaired as many times as possible so they will have clean clothes! It isnt just Whirlpool, but all the manufacturers who have chosen to make this horrible decision for us, housewives, and anyone else who does the laundry where they live. I used to enjoy doing my laundry, but now it is a nightmare. I will tell my friends who are the same age as I am that if they can still find a machine with an agitator to buy 1 or two of them so they wont have to deal with this type of problem for the rest of their lives. I realize that now I have to eat this washer since I have purchased it, but I can tell you one thing; if I could sell it for near the price I paid for it, I would do it in a heartbeat! Realizing whoever reads this; it wont matter one bit and probably will never reach the hands of the ones who couldn’t care less or do something about it, but at least I have made an attempt to help others in the future.

I bake a lot so my husband bought me a new gas range for our 54th anniversary. After the first few times I used the oven, I decided to clean it. I noticed then that there were some burnt grease spots and streaks between the oven glass door. After 2 years of use, it has gotten much worse so I decided to take the door apart to try to clean the glass in between the layers of glass but there are three instead of two. I cleaned the inside of the outer glass, but that didnt take care of the problem. Most of the stains are between the other two panes of glass. That, I cant get to. I feel that this is poor design and not sealed properly. I take good care of everything I own and I expected this range to last me the rest of my life but it is put together with cheap plastic parts that wont last long. It is the first new range that I ever owned and paid a lot more for it than any Ive had. I expected better.

I dont see any reason to replace the refrigerator, but I cannot stand the deteriorating condition of the doors. If I replace it, I will not buy a Whirlpool or any brand made by Whirlpool. The rust is not just a discoloration, it is actually rough to the touch and is getting worse day by day. Also, a very bad film all over our clothing. I have just tonight contacted the Whirlpool company as I have made numerous complaints to the business where I bought it to no avail. The day after buying and using once, the store sent a repairman out and he said use it on delicate. I have done that with the same results. I bought my washer in December of 2011. I am hoping Whirlpool contacts me. If not, we can contact the state attorney generals office, Consumer Affairs and our main TV station to make complaints. The oven light works sometimes. The glass on the oven door at the bottom came unglued. The bottom door under oven is a total waste. No use for it. In my adult life I have had different brands but this is the absolute worst and will never recommend this brand to anyone period.

I purchased Whirlpool Slide-In 30 Gas SS Conventional Range. Terrible product quality. After about three years of use, the range shows an error message cooling fan is too low. I wasnt able to use the oven. Abt Services came in to do the repair. One month after the cooling fan was installed, the same message came up again. When Abt Services replaced the cooling fan again, the display was completely out. The cost of the repair parts is over $800. Are you kidding me! I paid $1500 for the range. Now I need to pay $800 to repair. Whirlpool didnt offer any discount for repairing the defective product but offered purchase similar product at a discount price. I will never ever pay a dime for Whirlpool product. It is a nightmare using the product. I learned my lesson. No Whirlpool product again in our house.

After 3 weeks, I called Whirlpool again and was told that the rust is cosmetic. I insisted that I have other appliances with stainless steel and they do not rust. I looked at my manual & there is a 1 year limited warranty. I had a repairman come out & he told me there is a leak in the sealed system for the freezer. He doesnt do that type of work- it is very unusual & requires a special certification. The repair would be 500 - 1000 dollars to fix. He couldnt believe my fridge was less than 2 years of lad & is having this problem. Factory defect.

When we remodeled our kitchen after checking a lot of brands of oven we decided to buy the Whirlpool Self Cleaning stove/oven. Loved the look of it. When trying to clean the oven I followed the directions just as its said in the manual. After the cleaning was complete it didnt even look like it clean the oven. I called customer service and they told me I had to clean the oven with a little elbow grease before I put the self cleaning on? Really? I have to clean the self cleaning oven by hand beforehand? Why did I purchase a self cleaning oven then? And because it was just 2 weeks out of warranty they would not help at the 800 number. NEVER NEVER again will I ever purchase Whirlpool! How they treat their customers is disgusting!

We purchased a Whirlpool dryer about two years ago. Unfortunately I havent had the time to compose a letter stating my dis-satisfaction until now. After much research and haggling we decided on the Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum model, a very efficient (we thought), and even attractive model. It has proven to cost us much more than we bargained for, as EVERY time I do a dark wash, which is usually two to three times a week I must re-wash the items once or twice after! All of the items come out of the wash with white spots all over. Thinking it is soap, I run the wash again on a rinse cycle: nothing changes. Then I redo the wash - this time not using soap. The result is a bit better, but I still have to take a wet washcloth and rub the areas out.I did voice a complaint one time to which I received a letter stating that I should read my manual, specifically the troubleshooting guide. I dont have time for this. Again, we purchased this machine for its cost and efficiency, yet its ending up costing much more than it should as for every load I do (of dark clothes), I have to do one or two additional. (No telling what is on the light or white clothes that I cannot see because of their color!) This machine has been a total waste of time and money; I will never purchase another Whirlpool machine as I am extremely dissatisfied with this product.

Purchased the Whirlpool electric range with aqua lift technology. Have the stove for 21/2 yrs and have tried contacting Whirlpool on numerous occasions. Email and telephone. Only response I get from them, is that Im doing something wrong. How can you do anything wrong? Add water, push button. I finally put in a call to World Headquarters but had to leave message and nobody has returned call. I finally called a whirlpool serviceman and he told me the Aqua lift is not a true self cleaning oven. The temperatures dont get hot enough. It was meant to just loosen the dirt on the bottom and then you have to scrub. The button you press to start the process on the stove states SELF CLEANING. I believe they have mislead the public with their advertising. Im thinking about any options I may have.

My husband and I purchased a new Maytag top load washing machine from Best Buy in May 2017. On June 19th, a month later, as I am washing, all of a sudden the machine dies down. I checked everything from the outlet, the plug to the circuit breaker, and nothing seemed to help get my washer to start up again. Unfortunately I had wet clothes inside and the lid is one of those that locks itself and it would not open. :( I called Whirlpool/Maytag to explain my situation and could not believe that they told me that they only have 1 authorized appliance repair dealer they work with in my area and that they didnt show any available appointments until 4 weeks from now? WHAT? Are you kidding me? I could not wait that long, especially since I had soaking wet clothes sitting inside the washer.I asked if I called someone else myself and have it repaired sooner, would they reimburse me for the expenses. They refused to do that and told me I need to wait for their own authorized repair dealers. Talk about bad customer service here :( My husband called them back and asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told that it shouldnt have to be that long for us to wait for repair so why was I told that in the first place? The supervisor proceeded to tell my husband that we will get a call back in 5 days? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5 days just for someone to CALL us? And then have to wait longer to get our service done? No way!We think that Whirlpool sold Best Buy a lemon and we are paying for it! Why cant they say that they will get in touch with Best Buy so they can deliver a new working machine and take this lemon back? We are not happy with their responses so we will be paying Best Buy a visit to see what else we can do. I already spent unnecessary money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes :( I would recommend that people stay away from Whirlpool products. Well see if we can exchange ours for another brand.

I purchased a condo last year with all appliances included. My Whirlpool refrigerator model is GI6SDRXXY00, a fairly new refrigerator. I noticed orange and moldy spots on ices when dispensing them. I changed the filter, thought maybe it is the filter causing the issue. But after inserting the new filter and emptying the entire ice tray, I still get bad ice! I open the compartment, and surprisingly, found out that the spiral rod inside the ice dispenser was rusted! This is horrible and unacceptable! This is not a user fault but a manufacturing defect. The parts that are in direct contact with what customer consumes should be robust and safe. I contacted customer service, and they gave me a technician phone number which turned out to be a third party which only cares about money. They said they will inspect the refrigerator and will charge me $134.00. I will not use this refrigerator anymore and will replace it soon. AND I will never purchase any more Whirlpool products. This manufacturer is crossed out from my list of vendors who I do business with.

Should have read other customer concerns as it seems like the products last as long as the warranty. A few months after the warranty, my refrigerator started making a very loud noise. Repair person takes it apart as the diagnostics showed no error and his best guess was a thermistor as there was ice build up making contact with the fan. Replaced it and the total of the bill was $174.23 and this may not even be the problem. If it is the board not reading properly, very expensive.

The repair person said that it could be three different things the parts, for which, would cost in the vicinity of $200. However, since it was making such a loud noise and water was coming out from underneath the washer, he was certain the transmission was out. He said the noise was an indicator the bearings were gone. I didnt see much point in repairing the washer if the transmission was out because it couldnt be fix. There was a couple at Lowes purchasing a machine at the same time as myself. They said they had a Cabrio also and it was only two years old. It wasnt spinning the clothes either and making a tremendously loud noise. In June of 2010, I purchased a new Whirlpool Estate EED4400WQ0 dryer (serial number M01156261) with an accompanying washing machine. It has been in a clean, climate-controlled environment and gently used by my family of four for just short of two years. Last week, I began to notice that the clothes coming out of the dryer were cool and damp and it quickly became apparent that the dryer was only heating intermittently. This morning, the service person from the dealer who sold me the washer and dryer set (and a Whirlpool dishwasher a few months later) told me that contacts on the timer unit were bad and that the entire switch would have to be replaced. This is no small portion of the machine and the part alone will cost me about $150. After labor, we are looking at an expense of approximately half of the original cost of the machine - in less than two years. I called the Whirlpool’s customer service line to ask if there was anything that could be done and the answer was: Sorry, we cant do anything for you.” It is not acceptable to me for an appliance to become that expensive that fast. If Whirlpool cant do anything for me about this, then I will not be purchasing anymore Whirlpool products.

Design is made so you will need a repair man to clean filter. The machine has to be taken apart to get to filter. About one hour of your time. If youre not handy its a paid repair About $250 to $300. Also the valves that control the water into the washer failed after about 5 years. An easy fix part costs about $60. All appliances are designed to fail after the purchased extended warranty expires. More features more repairs. So if you arent going to use a feature get a simpler machine. More money does not mean better machine. Or that it will last longer. I have a Whirlpool 33 inch wide Side by Side refrigerator. WRS311SDHM. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Temperatures are inconsistent. It is less than a year old. Initially, I stored the big container of spring mix lettuce on the bottom shelf of the refrig as it wouldnt fit in the crisper draw. The temp setting in the refrigerator was set to ideal. Oddly though, in the freezer, ice cubes were melting and refreezing creating a massive frozen block. So, I raised the temperature in the refrigerator, but kept the freezer at coldest. However, I noticed that when I set the refrigerator to a warmer setting, ice cream became cold soup despite the coldest setting.I called Whirlpool and a service technician from Georges Appliance in New Providence, NJ came to my home (of course I had to take half a day off from work). He stuck a thermometer in the freezer and said, its working fine. While at my home he called Whirlpool who said that if lettuce isnt kept in the crisper drawer it will freeze (silly woman, dont you know that?) and ice cream will get soft in the freezer if the temp in the refridge is warmer than ideal. So, it seems I can have lettuce or ice cream, but not both. Okay, so I put the temp back to ideal, bought smaller packs of lettuce that would fit in the crisper draw and called it a day. Nope....lettuce and anything else in the crisper draw freezes too. Wilted, soggy lettuce is so nice in a salad and frozen baby carrots can break your teeth.I have been on the phone with Whirlpool executive dept several times. They offered to have another service company come out to look at the refrigerator. This repair company would not give me a 4 hr time frame until the day before the actual service call. This might be okay if you work from home or are retired, but this is not my case. I opted to not have them come. This is my last Whirlpool product. Since KitchenAid and Jenn Air are owned by Maytag/whirlpool, my other options are LG, Samsung, GE or Sub Zero.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator for my condo in February of 2012. During the past six months it started to freeze everything in the food compartment, and then during this past month the freezer started to slowly die. Ice cream became soup. After calling repair and examination it appears the fridge has basically died and it would have cost me over $500 to fix a $570 refrigerator. That type of lifespan is unacceptable. Before energy efficiency demands from the government, refrigerators lasted much longer. In the 50s, 60s, the refrigerator my parents owed lasted nearly 30 years. Am I expecting too much? Apparently so. I went out and purchased a Frigidaire this time. Hopefully, Ill get a few more years out of that one (Not happy).

Bought a model wdt730pahz in Nov 2017. Up until recently it ran fine and we were very happy. Some folks have reported that the soap dispenser door gets stuck. Same here. In our case we found, when using those detergent pods, to make sure that they are pushed all the way into the dispenser before you close the lid, or the lid jams. Other than that, the dishwasher got the dishes nice and clean. However, after just two years of using it maybe 3 times a week (there are only 2 of us) the motor died. Youd think a new motor ought to survive at least 500 cycles. Anyway, parts and labor was quoted at nearly $400. Debating whether to fix or replace the dishwasher. Might try ordering a motor and pump and replacing it myself.

I purchased a Whirlpool front loading washer from PC Richards in January of 2010. The warranty was only for one year (the washer was new, not used). The model # is WFW9050XW. Anyway, the washer had to be repaired by PC Richards twice in the first year I had it. Once because the belt that makes the washer spin broke, then because the pump got clogged. Unfortunately, when you wash your clothes, your socks and underwear can get sucked into the pump. After that warranty expired, I purchased a warranty from my utilities company (PSE&G). I have had to contact them four times for repairs to this machine. The most recent problem is my clothes are still wet after the washer stops. I actually have to wring them out by hand to get the excess water out. When I contacted my utilities company about servicing the washer, I was informed that if the repair is more than the washer is worth they dont have to fix it. I canceled the repair and now got to the laundrymat. I figured if I wait until the end of the year, maybe the repairs wont seem excessive. I contacted Whirlpool about the problems and was informed that I should have been using a garment bag to wash my socks and underwear in. More or less the person I spoke with made it seem as though it was my fault the machine sucked up my underwear and socks. I, on the other hand, disagreed with her. I told her the washer should have been build so that it would not suck up these items. I was so totally pissed off I ended the conversation. I also informed her that I would not be purchasing any other appliances manufactured by Whirlpool or Maytag as they are affiliated. They obviously have no integrity when it comes to their product. However, I am totally baffled. Why do the Maytag machines work better and last longer than the Whirlpool machines? The washer I replaced was a Maytag. I had that machine for 17 years!!!!

We bought our washer about 3 years ago brand new from Lowes. Like others, I have had problems with holes in clothing and spots that looked like grease. It worked well up until recently when we noticed some brown splatters on the floor. Shortly after it made a loud noise like a plane taking off and the load would become unbalanced. We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... It was going to be almost $200 to repair ourselves! He called a washing machine repair man and he said he doesnt even touch them because the repair wont last. I guess were going to be better off buying a new washer. There really needs to be a recall on this product!!!

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator, model # wrt779reyb00 with serial # vs13537798. The icemaker quit working and then water started leaking out from the door. A&E serviceman came out to repair and said we needed a new door. It had been over 11 weeks and the door still has not arrived and we have been told it could be as late as November. When I purchased an item, I expect it to work and if not, to be repaired within a reasonable time or be replaced. I have called and been told that replacement is not an option and that I will just have to wait. This is unacceptable. I purchased this refrigerator with water in the door and an icemaker and I expect it to work.

I did complain again and again but your engineers do not have the skill to solve customers problem, then why you say that you are a number 1 company in the world. From my point of view if someone will ask me for you to provide service, I will never recommend you.

This dishwasher, compared to my old one, is very quiet but does a very poor job of cleaning. I now have to prerinse most all items. The silverware rack leaves many dirty items such as peanut butter off a knife. I probably waste more water on prerinse than what is saved by the washer.

We purchased an over-the-range microwave in 2005 Model No. MH1141XMQ-1 Serial No. TRS1112979. It has worked fine however, within a year, the grill cracked. It was not covered so we paid for a new one. A few months ago, I noticed a crack near the top of the door by the handle and then a couple of weeks ago, a huge chunk broke off the bottom of the door.

I have had Whirlpool appliances for a very long time. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with the purchase of my last Whirlpool washer a couple of years ago. The washer is extremely noisy, to begin with, and I complained to hhgregg about this. They delivered a couple of other machines, all of which were very noisy. The latest problem with this machine has been with the tearing my clothes. My clothing gets caught under the agitator and the items tear. This is a poorly designed washer and I wish I had never purchased it. I was thinking and wrongly so, that the washer would be as good as my previous washers. Well, I was so very wrong.I wish to know what you are going to do for me with this problem which is so very annoying and costly.Marjorie **

Most of my appliances are Whirlpool - dishwasher, refrigerator, clothed dryer and the Cabrio washer. The washer before this one, I had it for over 10 years and replaced it because of rust (thats another problem with Whirlpool - rust). Now the Cabrio hasnt got all kinds of problems - UL, F1 and jumping. The serviceman asked me for $450 for repair; it included a set of springs for the drum, a new electronic board and a 30-day warranty on parts and labor. Im better off buying a new one (I cant afford at this moment). My wife is scared of the darn thing and refuse to use it so now I have the job of washing and standing guard to make sure the washer doesnt leave the garage. Thank you, Whirlpool - and my refrigerator works fine all rusted.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from Home Depot on 2/5/2015. It was delivered damaged on 2/9/2015. Home Depot refused to take it back and Whirlpool sent a tech out to see the damage. I told them I did not want a refurbished dishwasher that I paid almost $1000 for. Whirlpool advised Home Depot that the machine can be repaired. Once again I told both whirlpool and Home Depot that I did not want this dishwasher and to pick it up. Home Depot stated that there would be a 15 percent restocking fee along with a $65 to pick up the washer. Why should we have to pay anything? I am so disgusted for the treatment I received.

I bought a new Whirlpool electric range in the spring of 2008 and purchased the extended warranty from Leons. The oven worked fine for the first three & 1/2 years, but then the bottom element in the oven seemed to have stopped working. The top element would still come on, in an effort to keep the oven at temperature, but was not effective.I called in a repair. The technician showed up, turned the oven on, noted that the bottom element did not come on properly & replaced the motherboard in the control panel with no further diagnosis. The oven worked for approximately 9 months and then the problem recurred. I called in another warranty repair. This time when the technician showed up, he turned the oven on & told me he was going to order a new bottom element, which he installed about a week later, again, with no further diagnosis. Now, here we are again, one month off warranty and 6 mos since the last repair, and again, the bottom element in the oven is not working correctly. I reported the issue & my dissatisfaction to Whirlpool and was basically told, How sad, too bad - hardware components fail and theres nothing we are going to do about it. Seriously? This range is just barely 5 years old and has a history of repeated problems with the bake function - obviously, something is defective in this product.I can see it, if I had not had any problems until this point, but when the same issue keeps coming up & obviously has not been correctly diagnosed and repaired, I would think they would have enough integrity to offer some kind of help or solution. Given the history here, its highly unlikely that Im going to be willing to spend big bucks on another attempted repair that, in all likelihood, will be merely a short term band-aid, so Ill probably have to buy another new range - which I cant really afford right now. Trust me, it will not be a Whirlpool & it will not be from Leons.

Im a member of Costco. I trusted that they will sell me a decent refrigerator, wrong! I bought a French Door refrigerator by Whirlpool on March 2018. It freezes my food on the left compartment and on the middle compartment. I called since its under the one year warranty. They came 8 times already and changed parts and promised me every time they came that this will resolved the problem... still the same. I have been in the phone with Whirlpool for one hour and a half for 5 times and they still want to do more tests. I will never buy another Whirlpool unit again! Costco should be ashamed of selling this brand! And they should paid for this also.

I purchased a Whirlpool WTW6600SW in January 2010. I dont normally purchase an extended warranty, but it was a fairly expensive washer. So I did. In July 2011, water starts gushing all over the floor. After my first visit to see what is wrong, I ordered a part. I was out of a washer for 2 weeks. Then in August 2012 the same thing happened. This time the repairman didnt get the part on properly, so they had to come back a third time. I am out of a washer for about 3 weeks. Now, October 2012, it is doing the same thing again! Customer service tells me it has to be repaired for the same problem four times in the same 12 months in order to receive any replacement value. It will have to break two more times! This washer is a piece of junk!

I purchased a Whirlpool fridge (model GX2SHBXVQOO) on November 27, 2010 and it leaks water on my floor. I have to keep a towel there or it runs all over. I also purchased a Whirlpool range (model YGFE461LVQ) and the convection fan went on it a month after we bought it. The manufactures warranty does not allow repair people to travel any further than 100 km to repair, something that we had to take the stove in to be repaired. We got the stove back the same day and brought it home. Low and behold, after a short period of time it started to rattle again and got steadily worse. Also, now my one burner on high does not stay on high; it keeps going out then coming back on.I have called the place we purchased these pieces of junk from and they said there is nothing they can do. I also sent e-mails to Whirlpool and they said they will look into it and get back to me. That was months ago. I called Whirlpool and was basically told that there was nothing they can do, that I was to call the repairman. Never, never, ever buy a Whirlpool product.

I have enjoyed my stove for 16 yrs, it is very reliable and easy to use. The heating elements work well and heats up quickly. During this time I have not had any repair done. The areas of improvement that needs to be implemented is the inter glass that is installed at the front looking into the oven. In order to clean you have to take the front door off which is very difficult to put back together.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model #YWMH31017AS-1) in April 2013, and had it installed in August of same year. It worked fine up until November 2014 - just over one year later. Everything on it works, except for the most important feature - IT DOESNT HEAT ANYTHING UP. Doesnt matter how long you set the timer for - the contents come out stone cold! I called Whirlpools 1-800 number and was told that because I did not purchase the extended warranty, I was responsible for all parts and labor costs. I find this completely unacceptable! I have had cheap $70 microwaves that have lasted 15-20 years. I will never buy another Whirlpool product, and am telling everyone I know to do the same!

This piece of junk just broke down not even one year after the purchase. Every singe Whirlpool washing machine has broken one way or another. This one will set the wash time for 57 minutes, and exactly 24 minutes left in the cycler, you hear this big crash and then everything stops. Another dumb thing about this piece of crap is that when the problem happens, the POS keeps the lid locked so that you cant tell what the problem is. What morons would put a lock on the lid? Its not like someones going to take a jacuzzi bath!Restarted the POS again, and exactly 24 minutes left on the wash cycle, there was another crash. Both times, exactly 24 minutes. I had my Whirlpool Gold refrigerator for two years. I observed water puddling out of the bottom of the freezer about every three days. I called Whirlpool to find out if there was a recall on my problem. There was none although refrigerator repair companies said there should be as Whirlpool has a defective part. That part is the drain for the freezer as it clogs up and does not allow water to drain and then refreezes. When the freezer automatically defrosts, some ice melts and as a result the water comes out of the bottom and puddles on the floor in front of the refrigerator. I recommend that people do not buy Whirlpool refrigerators unless you are willing to pay over $200 to replace the end of the drain line in about two years.

I have purchased all new Whirlpool appliances for our new home in March 2009. I have had trouble with the refrigerator door panel and will not switch between ice and water. Cost to replace over $100.00. Now its the range. When turning on the oven, my wife said she saw a flash of bright light and then I turned around and it was smoking up the house! I quickly pull the stove out and unplugged the stove. I then remove the back panel and found the right side of the control panel was burned. Had I not pulled the plug, a fire would have started. I purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in Jan 2014. The first thing I noticed was the installers bought the appliance in without a box. The next thing I noticed was the door would not close unless you gave it a big push. While looking around at the hinges, I found 2 hairline cracks at the base of the refrigerator and 2 dents. I called Service and they sent a technician out. The technician told me they are going to want to epoxy this and you will see it. They asked did it get delivered in the box, I said no. I asked why, she said it should have been delivered in the container so you would know that it is new and not a rejected one from a customer. I called Whirlpool to voice my issue with having this epoxied. Kecia was the CSR...she said that is the normal repair for a crack. I told her I had a Kenmore refrigerator for 23 years and it was still functional when I bought this. I replaced it to get the energy savings. I told her I wanted the refrigerator replaced. I told her that the cracks tells a story about the quality of the appliance. I asked her what happens if these cracks expand after the year warranty expires. She said you can buy the extended warranty. I said but the existing warranty will not cover the cracks...what will the the extended warranty do? I asked if there were any recalls...she said no. I asked have there been similar complaints about cracks and dings (not that I thought she would answer yes). She said no unless someone had stepped on the base of it. I told her I lived alone and I definitely did not step on the base of the refrigerator. She got aggravated (almost to the point of being rude) and said Mam, no one said you stood on the base. I asked her repeatedly if there was someone else I could speak with. Her repeated answer was I am authorized to speak with you. She wouldnt let me to speak with anyone else. I am done with Whirlpool and stuck with this substandard refrigerator. Not happy at all in Va.

My husband and I bought a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Series Washer and Dryer in November 2012 from Lowes. My clothes, especially towels, smell like mildew and mold since I have used it. I thought it was just me. I have even thrown some items away when they smelled so bad. I love doing laundry but this not being able to have clean smells was driving me crazy. I tried everything I could think of but to no avail. Finally in October of this year 2015 my washing machine began to make a loud noise. My husband said sounds like a bearing is going out. I immediately sought a repairman thinking that it would be a simple fix. $420 later I had a new bushing, bearing, sleeve, etc. The machine was still making noises even louder and my repairman came back, this time to the tune of $180. So far weve spent $600 on a washer that we gave a little over $800 for. Now I have a UL code showing up when my load is almost completely done and guess what? My repairman says he has yet another part that should take care of the noise but he wasnt so sure about the panel. He may have to do a little research on that. I think all I have is a repairman that is a parts replacer so we were forced to purchase a new washer yesterday and my Cabrio is sitting in my garage. If someone needs a boat anchor just please contact us. I wrote a letter to the corporate office of Whirlpool before I even knew that so many consumers were having problems. Two repairmen told me that the Cabrios were junk. Most of them belonged in the landfill. Whirlpool customer service called me and offered me a discount coupon on a new washer. I told them that I didnt think I needed another piece of crap. I also questioned them as to why they could foist these crappy machines off on the American public. They had no apologies whatsoever. While researching what brand washing machine to invest in, I realized that there were numerous complaints regarding the Whirlpool Cabrio. With as many consumers who have been taken advantage of with this awful product, why cant someone do something?
