My range was made after this date and needs this Service Bulletin part. Whirlpool refuses to ship at no cost. These products (Dishwasher, refrigerator, cooktop, and wall ovens) are less than 5 years old and everyone of is in of repair. The cooktop and wall ovens the repair on them would equal the price of a new one. I feel that the products should last more just a few years and also their warranties. This tells me they do not stand by quality of their products.

I bought the washer and dryer. I had problems right away. The glass lid has broken and replaced 4x at the hingeless. YES 4 times – 1 time under warranty. I complain, they gave me 1 extra year of a warranty. Big deal... Was told its not a recalled item because it didnt cause of fire. The dryer has caught fire 2x as the bottom fills up with lint. I messaged and sent picture and they did nothing. Said it was up to me to clean the unit. I am not able to take the dryer apart to clean it. The lint cannot be reached without removing the top and back of dryer and taking out the drum and the belt off. Nothing but grief. Giant expense to maintain all the broken parts not to mention labor fees… Very very unsatisfied. And they do not care!!!! They will never get another penny of my money!!!!! Im not sure how they get away with this!!! I spent $2000 to buy a good set that would last and all I got was junk. Not to mention the awful smell always having to bleach or cleaning it all the time.

54 weeks ago, I purchased a Whirlpool Duet Washer & Dryer. The first time I used the washer, it flooded my laundry room. After some grief, it was replaced with a second Duet washer some 53.5 weeks ago. Yesterday, that washer, 10 days past the 1-year warranty, failed. It gives error messages F06/E01 and wont complete a cycle. Calls to Whirlpool resulted in a refusal to acknowledge any product responsibility (out of warranty) but offers of extending the warranty for the cost of repair. I will never buy another Whirlpool product and will actively encourage any other consumer to shop elsewhere.

2007 we purchase a Whirlpool Casio washing machine. Rusted out in three years. 2008 we purchase Whirlpool gold dishwasher. In two years the front panel rusted out. We replaced this panel and now the second one has rusted out. According to Whirlpool they do not cover rust. When we replace the washer it was with a Samsung. NO SIGNS OR RUST IN THE LAST THREE YEARS. When we replace the dishwasher it will not be a Whirlpool. As far as I am concerned, Whirlpool products are junk.

Whirlpool Duet 2009 Model WFW9400SW02 - Worst experience ever with a new Whirlpool front Load washing machine. It broke down with error codes F28, F70, F71 13th month just after warranty and was leaking water. Bought 1 yr 153.00 Whirlpool extended warranty. Many reviews in internet have same complaint. Immediately had it repaired after waiting my 60 days to use warranty, but did not work after the door latch switch and one of 3 main circuit boards was replaced which was over $600.00. That was 2 visits. Fired them and had warranty company send different repair Co. They came twice with a cost of $840.00 and worked for 30 days and then had no power. 3rd repair company came out and wanted $350.00 to order part. I was offered $1195.00 cash or $1499.00 replacement top of line Whirlpool WFL98HEBU. Nice! But only 1 year warranty and I had to pay 200.00 shipping. I decided to take the money since I did not want to risk the break down on the new washer. The reviews on the new washer were not favorable with break down as the main complaint. 4 repairs in 1 year is lemon law on my warranty. My repairs were 4 in 45 days.

We purchased this machine new less than 6 months ago. We found that it is not cleaning our jeans. We cant even work cattle and get our jeans clean. I called Sears and Whirlpool and told them it does not clean our jeans. They said it was under warranty and that they would come out to see if it was working properly. Well they said it was and then sent us a bill for $77. They said Customer Instruct was not covered under warranty. I already read the instructions and I knew how to operate this machine. The technician said this is not the first time he has had this type of complaint. Anyway I am VERY dissatisfied with this washing machine and I want Sears and Whirlpool to take it back and give me a better machine. I want one that can get clothes clean. If you are satisfied with dirty clothes then I guess you will like this machine.

We bought a new oven/range in April 2019. December 7th 2019 it stopped working. No power at all. We contacted Whirlpool about our unit as it was still under the year warranty. They contacted their local repair company. 3 times they have said they were coming out to fix it and they had the part. Three times they have told us never mind. They didnt have the part and would have to come later. Most recent update, they wont get the part until the 20th and wont make it out until the 23rd. That is over 2 weeks after our unit broke and it is the holidays and we will have family visiting. We have tried to get answers about what is really going on and we keep being told they cant help us or give us any answers. So frustrated. You can bet I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again!

We bought our Duet washer in 2007 with a three-year warranty. In 2010, the washer started banging so we called it in for repair. It was determined that the bearing on the drum was bad, so the entire drum assembly was replaced because the poor design of integrating the bearing into the drum. Almost one year to the day, our washer started banging again. The washer is no longer under warranty. We were told the parts are around $400 plus and another $400 for labor. The repairman was from the store we bought the washer and he is a certified Whirlpool repairman. He related to us that this is a very common occurrence for Whirlpool washers because they are using cheap foreign made bearings. He services this problem on a weekly basis and Whirlpool will not do a recall because unless it is a safety hazard, it is not a concern to them if consumers have to pay out the nose for cheaply made parts. This repairman informed us that during training at a Whirlpool class, he learned that on the main board of the washers, they could put a 2 cent lamp that would indicate a bad board which would simplify diagnosis, expedite repair and reduce service time, but Whirlpool wont do it because it isnt cost effective. The repairman told us that we can call customer service until we are blue in the face, but Whirlpool wont give a ** because it is out of warranty. He sees this happen all the time with Whirlpool. My wife called Whirlpool Customer Service just to be told we are ** even though the cheap, crappy bearing that went bad was done under warranty, a year earlier.Well Whirlpool, I guess you lost another customer who will make sure that you lose a lot more customers. We are going to take our business elsewhere and we will make sure all our family, friends, neighbors and coworkers know how bad your customer service and poor attitude is toward consumers. If you cant back your products when you put cheap foreign garbage parts in your product, then you need to lose business and get out of the market.

I bought my Whirlpool refrigerator model #ed5fvgxws07 in Oct. 2011. One year seven months later, I am experiencing my 1st breakdown. The refrigerator side is failing to cool. I have replaced the temp control thermostat and I am waiting to see if this fixes the problem. I have researched and checked the other possible problems and it is unlikely that it is a defrost fail as there is no frost build-up in the freezer section. And, I checked the heater element and there is continuity through the element. If this does not fix the problem, I believe that there is one other possible solution. I dont have $300.00 to give to an appliance repairman. Maybe I should give it a rap on the side as one other customer said a repair person did to make it work for a few more weeks.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer approximately 4 years ago thinking we were purchasing a top-of-the-line washer. The first year went great. I was very impressed with how it washed. My clothes came out cleaner than ever before; I loved it. But shortly after the warranty expired, one of the water pumps began leaking out all over the floor. We found out that a coin had passed through the barrel down into the pump and caused the plastic pump to crack with the high speed spin. We replaced that pump at a cost of over $100. We shopped around to find the part as reasonable as possible. The machine worked fine for about another 10 months, then it happened again. The new pump began spitting out water all over the floor. So again, we found another coin, another crack in the pump and again replaced it, another $100+. Finally, a third time, it was the same thing; the pump cracked due to a coin. This time, it was the pump on the opposite side, but still, water was all over the floor. This time, we ordered the part through Whirlpool and complained about this happening for a third time. My husband asked them about the Lemon Law and he was told that he would have had to purchase all of the pumps through Whirlpool. What does that have to do with it? We bought the pumps where we could afford them! The washer cost about $700 to begin with, and within 4 years, weve spent approx. $400 more? Thats not the end of it though. Now we are hearing loud noises and there is water all over the floor again every time you wash. This time, its not the pumps though. It appears that it has something to do with the bearings and maybe a seal somewhere around the barrel itself. But you can hear something knocking around - it sounds almost like a nut. We are going to call a local repairman to come and look at it tomorrow. This is just ridiculous. I feel like weve been completely duped over this purchase. The salesman talked this up like it was the cream of the crop and weve had nothing but problems. My last washing machine was a Kenmore and it lasted nearly 15 years and not once did I have to call a repairman or buy parts for it! Guess what Im going to buy again? If Whirlpool would just acknowledge these problems and fix them for people, it might renew faith in your company. I know I dont know the inner workings of a washing machine, but it seems to me that a screen prior to the pumps to keep coins from entering the pumps wouldve been a very cheap fix to a huge problem. I also own the Cabrio dryer and have hated it since the day I got it. It never dry things with one cycle. I always have to run it a second time. Knock on wood though, I have never had any breakdowns with that. I can guarantee my next buy will not be Whirlpool, nor will I pick expensive models again. I bought the cheap stuff years ago and it lasted forever! Im very nervous because I bought a Whirlpool fridge last year and I am praying I have no problems with that!

I purchased a Whirlpool gas hot water heater in July 2012 and have had to replace the control/pilot light mechanism every 6 months since then. Whirlpools customer service is the worst service in the world. They are rude. I have followed their instructions every time and have been accused of being uncooperative. I paid $350 to $400 for my heater and just spent $200.00 to have a plumber put apple cider vinegar in my tank.I was told by Whirlpool that the calcium sediment was causing the problem... I drained this tank twice and there was no sediment in the tank. This is evidently a common error for Whirlpool tanks. I will never purchase any Whirlpool product again and will tell others that their products are crap. The worst part was the inconsiderate customer service. I dont know who trains them, but they need to fire the entire bunch. Shame on you Whirlpool!

My Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW6600SG2) is a money pit! After reading all of the nightmare stories concerning this washer one would think Whirlpool would offer a recall and try to correct their wrong doing. Do not buy a Whirlpool Cabrio. It was the worst decision I have ever made! Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. I cant believe they can get away with treating their customers so unfairly, taking their hard earned money for crap like this, then not offering to help after so many have had issues. The Cabrio is loud, doesnt get clothes clean, and is always flashing UL for uneven load (when it works at all). My local repairman has made many trips to fix my problem Cabrio. This time he is at a loss. Ill be buying a new washer and it will not be made by Whirlpool! Please, if you are reading this be forewarned!! You will regret your purchase if you buy a Whirlpool Cabrio.

I purchased a Whirlpool electric range 18 months ago. Recently, the oven started overheating. The display reads Fault detected. Press start to clear. Pressing start did nothing and the oven door was locked as though it was in the self-clean cycle. We had to trip the circuit breaker to turn the oven off and allow the door to open. The food inside was ruined. After three episodes in one week, I scheduled a service call through the Whirlpool website. When the repairman came, he determined the electronic circuit board was faulty. His suggestion was that I buy a new stove since the repair would cost $425 (the part itself was $280). Not wanting to replace a stove that wasnt 2 years old, I went ahead with the repair. I called Whirlpool to lodge a complaint and although the customer service rep was polite, he basically told me that all electronic appliances fail sooner or later and the company will not stand behind this appliance because its out of its 12-month warranty and I didnt buy the extended warranty. He also told me the company doesnt have any record of this being a common problem or excessive complaints about these ranges. But I see many people on this site with the same problem. I wish I had read this site before I bought this stove. Since I cant afford to replace my appliances every year and a half, this will certainly be my last Whirlpool.

If you like having to use a funnel to refill plastic water bottles, and enjoy ice splashed all over your kitchen floor then the Whirlpool Gold refrigerator is the model for you. The problem with ice is if you dont have your glass sealed up to the ice dispenser it will shoot ice out over the top of the glass, and even if you DO do that when you try to remove your glass to cut off the ice supply it continues to disperse ice everywhere. TIP: The only way to more efficiently stop ice from spraying all over your wood floor is to do this: When your glass is full of ice, simply open a door on the refrigerator. That IMMEDIATELY stops the flow of ice OR water. Works great, and its the only way to deal with this horrid design flaw in this product....

We had purchased matching Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer and gas dryer. Both appliances were worthless. Same problems as everyone else. Clothes did not come clean. Had to put it on bulky items just to clean the clothes due to lack of water. Funny how all the older machines that actually put water into the machine cleaned clothes. Went through a motherboard (computer) for both the washer and dryer at $250 each. Washer had repairman out at least 12 times over 3 years. Never again would I purchase a Whirlpool. We went to our local appliance dealer and purchased a Speed Queen. These are like the older ones. THEY WORK! They use the correct amount of water and wash your clothes in half the time. 22 minutes per load! You can open the lid while the water is running in and load your clothes. Gee, what a concept. Only company still making them in Wisconsin, United States. Go Wisconsin! They back their product with a 20 year warranty. What?? Who does that anymore? Companies who stand behind their product. I purchased 4 whirlpool appliances at Leons in Mississauga. The side by side refrigerator was replaced within a few weeks. Got a new one and have had that one fixed at least 3 times already. The stove was serviced 3 times now, the washer broke so many times. They gave me a refund. The microwave broke as well. They told me it was not fixable, then I called Leons and they said it was too old. It was only 18 months old. Did not get anywhere with the microwave. Had to buy a new one. The only appliance I had that didnt break was the dryer. So far. The fridge now has broken inside, the crisper wont slide in and out at all. Cant be used. I bought a warranty on all the appliances, and even though I had a warranty, when a coin got stuck in the washing machine because the drum inside kept banging because it was in need of new struts, they still charged me 135.00 to fix it. Two to three weeks later a repairman came and put new shocks on it. Finally after having it repaired about 5-6 times in a year and half they gave me a refund at Leons and I went to pick out a new washing machine. Overall I have spent about 6-8 hours on the phone complaining and making appointments with Whirlpool Canada.

Whirlpool Cabrio - This expensive machine should be called the Presidential
Whirlpool Cabrio - This expensive machine should be called the Presidential. First it spins, spins, spins. It sprays tiny amounts of water, so little, that there is 2 inches or less. There isnt enough water to cover the clothes so no agitator to stir and mix them. There are ridges on the bottom of the tub called aggrivators to twist everything into pretzels. This twisting spreads the dirt around, but does NOT remove it, the utter lack of water giving it no where to go. I use a hose to add extra water, and I hand soap dirty spots. I stop the washer frequently to hand rub and slop the clothes around and un-twist them. Explain to me how running this machine 3 times plus adding water saves water and energy. I cant, in good conscience, sell this POS to someone else, and I cant afford something else. I sure miss my simple reliable old Maytag. I could say even more about this atrocity, but not now. I HATE THIS POS!

Whirlpool’s WFG505M0BS is a reliable gas range. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (no self-cleaning mode or convection oven), but it’s also not priced as such. If you’re looking for an appliance that’s sleek, smartly designed, and quick to heat up, it won’t disappoint.

I bought the Whirlpool mini frig from Target 3 years ago thinking it was made by whirlpool in USA!!!! 1) not really made by whirlpool!! Made by Glantz from China. Common deception of USA and Chinese mfg to fool consumers is to license a well knownBrand to glantz in china. Glantz mfg almost all mini frigs under dozens of well known brands. Federal Trade Commission should ban this kind of deceptive marketing. Complain to the FTC Wash DC!!! 2) Chinese mfg gantz mfg defects and how I fixed them: A) back of freezer compartment open, freezer does not freeze B) 45f inside not 40f!!! C) defective thermostat remedies: 1) aluminum foil to seal back freezer 2) weather stripping around door to bring temp from f45 to 40f.D) used Youtube video to adjust defective thermostat, until I can find a replacement thermostat!!! Dys videos: watch youtube repair videos before you trash your frig. 2) check the country of origin, if its made in china, it will not last very long!! 3) buy an extended warranty for any chinese product. You can buy generic frig replacement parts on eBay!!Yes chinese products are cheap, but they do not last!!! One good thing!!! This is a very quiet frig.

We purchased our Whirlpool Front Loading HE Washing Machine a year and ten months ago from Future Shop, and now it has failed. After paying about $100 for a service call, we were told we need to order a motor control board that will cost an additional $397 plus tax, plus installation. Because it is off warranty, this means my $1030 washing machine that is less than two years old will cost me about $680 to repair! My parents old top loading washing machine still works after 30 years. And now I notice that so many other people have had the exact same problem. Why hasnt Whirlpool fixed this issue? This is criminal! What on earth is going on here? I was under the impression that Whirlpool was a top-notch brand.

Purchased Cabrio washer in June 2011; in May of 2014 repairman said tub seal was leaking and new bearings were needed at a cost of $400. The washer was still working, but sounded like a freight train, very loud. My trusted repairman said to purchase a replacement, this time with an agitator (the Cabrio has no agitator). 2 additional points : the Cabrio took 63 minutes to wash sheets; other loads required similar long cycles, something they dont mention with new efficient washers. Also, agitators will no longer be manufactured in washing machines within the next 2 years. : (

I purchased a water heater Model # UG1H50400TBN, Serial # 0913T400920, from Lowes in Corona, CA. 05/07/2009 for $528 plus tax. I have replaced the following parts: 02/10/2010 Thermostat Valve, 07/23/2010 Thermostat Valve (2nd time), 08/10/2010 Burner assembly, 02/10/2011 Thermocouple, 02/17/2011 Thermostat Valve (3rd time), 12/17/2014 Thermocouple (2nd time) and 03/20/2015 Burner assembly (2nd time).Today I called WHIRLPOOL Customer service (877) 817-6750 because my water heater water is warm. I told the tech support agent that the pilot light was on so we agreed that it was the thermostat valve AGAIN. He wanted $30 for overnight delivery and I refused to pay. Now I have to go out and buy this part because Whirlpool like the Banks is too big to fail and they have license to RIP-OFF the consumer without penalties. Whirlpool has all of information and they can verify everything I wrote here just by the serial number.

These are the worst sets in the world. We bought this set from a hometown store, had them 6 months and all belts on dryer had to have the belt on the dryer replaced, then 2 months later the washing machine went out, so the store did replace both and weve had them about 3 month. The dryer works great so far, the washing machine on the other hand not good at all! The tray where the detergent goes continues to have mold/mildew in it, the clothes come out of wash cycle smelling soured. We have this set inside and we keep our temp set on 67 in our home. There is no excuse for all the problems, not to mention that noise it makes when it washes!! I am completely disgusted!!

The product has water and ice maker problems. The day we got the new refrigerator home, it did not make ice for one week. I called and had service come out. The line was not connected properly under the refrigerator. Water was flowing out of the front of the refrigerator. I called service again and they put in a new ice maker. The ice maker was still not working. I called service and another firm came out and said the new ice maker was bad. They put in another new icemaker. Now it is making ice but will not dispense it through the door like it is supposed to. I will call service again on Monday.

To be fair to Whirlpool, I have contacted them but have not given them time
To be fair to Whirlpool, I have contacted them but have not given them time to respond. I feel so strongly about this issue that I want to get the message about this company product out. About 2 years ago, we purchased a Whirlpool fridge, stove, and dishwasher. I have had so many problems with the stove (WFG540H0AS0) that it has pissed me off, actually. First, the knobs that control the stove top melted. MELTED! We had to replace them to the tune of $30.00 each and there are 5. Why would anyone use knobs that cannot withstand heat on a stove?! News flash, I cook on my stove. Therefore, there will be heat used. Second, the oven keeps shutting off in the middle of cooking my holiday meal. Of course, this made my turkey take much longer than usual. Today, it shut off in the middle of cupcakes. Third, the oven does ignite without turning it on and off multiple times. So we called the repair person who told us to replace the ignition switch for it. This helped for about one month. Then the problem started again. I just emailed Whirlpool and I will call them next business day. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool. I thought they had a good reputation for quality products.

About five years ago, I purchased a top load Whirlpool Cabrio washer and matching dryer. For the past couple of years or so, this washer gets out of balance every spin cycle. It sounds like a mac truck running through my house. At this time, I do not have $300-$400 to buy a warranty when I feel that this problem is so widespread (via internet complaints) that Whirlpool should fix this problem. I replaced a perfectly working 13-year old Maytag washer simply because my dryer went out. I have contacted customer service with no results. I recommended this washer to my neighbor about a couple of years ago and now I am sorry I did. Little did I know that three years in there would have to be a repair. As you know, this isnt a bottom of the line cheap washer, therefore, I wouldnt expect it would be acting like one after this period of time. I asked Dave who at Whirlpool cared and basically, he had no answer. I told him that I would expect a company as large as Whirlpool to have people who have the job of searching the internet to see what people are saying about the company and if they did, they would know this was a problem with these washers and would initiate some sort of recall. This is such a bone of contention at my house that I wish the thing would just die so I had to go buy another (and trust me it wont be a Whirlpool). But rather, I get to listen to my washer thrust throughout my house every load I do.

I had the first microwave for 6 years. My husband messed it up so got a new one, same over the stove type. It has lots of programs. Its a rather large microwave, plus it has a steamer which cooks vegetables with steam while I am doing the rest of the meal and whats more important is its quiet. The site is fantastic not just in width but in depth. The best thing about this microwave too is that it has a frozen cycle which does not partially cook the food like most microwaves and the defrost is the same, it does not partially cook it actually defrosts completely without cooking it. This is by far the best microwave I have ever had, and I wouldnt want any other brand. It might cost a little more than the usual brands but its worth it. I also have a mini Whirlpool on my Countertop for my grandchild to use so he keeps away from stovetop at all times.

We purchased the Whirlpool refrigerator on July 9, 2012. Refrigerator was replaced on August 23, 2012. Since then there have been many, many service calls. I wish I had kept records to be able to tell you exactly how many times, but we purchased an extended warranty. From memory, I can tell you the ice maker has been replaced twice, new doors have been installed for refrigerator and freezer (replacing ice maker a third time), then within the last three months the freezer door was again replaced (replacing ice maker a fourth time). The gasket on the freezer door has been replaced. At one point the refrigerator was colder and freezing and the freezer was not freezing. Parts and pieces have been repaired on several occasions. The inside of the freezer door next to the ice maker is still frosting up and yet again the ice maker is not functioning and needs to be replaced a fifth time. In other words this Whirlpool refrigerator has been a lemon for us. Finally, we figured it out. There is a fairly large gap at the top of the freezer door between the case and the gasket. If you run your hand across the area where the gap is, there is definitely a dip in the face of the refrigerator case where you can see the top of the ice maker. A picture showing the gap is attached. I am not sure that our purchasing a store extended warranty was fortunate or not. My husband has insisted on repairing this thing over and over and over because of the extended warranty. I think repairing it is futile and the only people being punished by all the repair calls is us because we frequently do not have ice, we are losing food because of freezing or not freezing or cooling or not cooling as the case may be. Thank God, the warranty expires in July and we can repair this Whirlpool by replacing it with another brand -- not in any way associated with Whirlpool. If you Google Whirlpool, you will find that Whirlpool is affiliated with almost every other brand of refrigerator and really limits your choices. Based on my experience with this Whirlpool refrigerator, I will never purchase another Whirlpool or any other brand associated with the Whirlpool brand. The myriad of repair persons in my home probably find a Whirlpool refrigerator is job security for them.

The oven has not worked correctly from day one. I have to use a thermometer plus after the correct temp is indicated I still have to wait another 15 minutes for the oven to reach the desired temp. Also have to set the temp for 25 degrees higher than the one I want. The burner that supposedly has two sizes in one is basically useless. Temps are not correct and sizes are misleading. There is a tiny groove around the outside edge of the stove top that gathers crumbs which are hard to clean out.

I had problems with the door closure on day 3 of my French Door Refrigerator Model # WRF560SEY. The flap on the left door that seals them fails to fold back if I open the right door first. Which didnt seem like a big deal until I tried to close them and have to remember to close the left door first or itll bang against the right door and Im afraid itll break that piece off then the refrigerator is worthless. The manufacturer drop shipped a new piece, after several attempts of adjusting the closure, and it still does not work. I have written Whirlpool and am told they have a new door on order but it will take 6-8 weeks, that was in March. Now when I contact Whirlpool no one ever returns my calls or emails. I have had the refrigerator only for 15 months and I have fought with either the store or Whirlpool since the third day of owning it. No one cares as long as the appliance is paid for. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

We purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator in December 2016. About 3 months later the back panel was frozen preventing it to cool. We unplugged it and called customer service. They sent out a repairman, but by then it had thawed out. He told me he couldnt fix what he couldnt see, but he didnt even check it out. Two months later it did the same thing. Then he said I must have left the door open. He made me look stupid. During that year he came out 4 times until he finally changed all parts. We kept telling customer service we wanted a new one. After going back and forth with them they finally are reimbursing us, but they charged us $300.00 because we didnt want another Whirlpool product... now we found out they have the worst ratings and we certainly had a very bad experience not to mention all the food I had to throw out because of it. Purchased a self-cleaning Whirlpool oven - model number RBS245PRS06 at Home Depot. Spent extra for the self-cleaning feature. The oven had slight use and used maybe once a week. Cooked a big Thanksgiving meal and decided it was time to use the self-clean feature for the first time. One hour into the process the oven shuts off, no longer has power, and the oven door is locked and will not open. Called Whirlpool (talked to 2 levels of customer service), they wanted me to buy a $200+ warranty for another year of coverage!Researched online and talked to the parts people and this is a KNOWN defect. It happens frequently when using the self-clean feature. It requires replacing the Thermal Overload Safety Thermostat which costs $45 with shipping for the part. The service call is over $100 PLUS labor which can run even more. There are YouTube videos that show how to replace this fuse. The parts lady recommended NOT using the self-cleaning for this oven. Buyer beware. If you are in the market for a new oven do not consider this Whirlpool model. THIS PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE AND WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT STAND BEHIND IT ONCE YOUR 12 MONTHS IS UP.

NOT Even a 1 STAR!!! We spent A LOT of money on a Whirlpool Smart wall oven combo. It has only been installed for about 2 hrs. My husband and I have been trying to figure out why all the features on the Whirlpool app aren’t working. Most of our home has smart features and is connected to our phones so it’s not the fact that we aren’t tech savvy. I finally gave up and decided I’ll call customer service line about it tomorrow when they open. It’s Sunday night so every number we call says it’s outside of business hrs. Then excited to turn on the oven for the first time I turn the oven on and the noise that the fan is making is so loud you can’t even talk over it. The oven has been off for 15 min now but the noise continues. 3000.00 for a huge disappointment. Not to mention the thing is HEAVY. So the thought of us having to remove it and replace it with another does NOT make us happy at all. Best Buy or Whirlpool WILL be the ones doing that. For the trouble and money spent that’s the least they can do. Also family is coming into town for the holiday. We made sure to purchase way ahead of time to be sure we had it, installed it and can use it a few times to get the new smell out of it. Very very upset, angry and disappointed. Now it’s been 10 more minutes and the loud broken fan still won’t even turn off. Now we have to shut it off at the breaker. At this point I don’t think we will be even exchanging it for the same product. I knew we should have bought a Samsung!

If I wanted a new microwave without the dust and ash, I had to call Whirlpool. Whirlpool is ALWAYS experiencing a high volume of calls.Whirlpool states 7 - 14 days (unit on back order of course) for the microwave will arrive. 21 days later..no microwave. More high volume of calls... Whirpool state a repair center has received the microwave on July 31st and should have called me. Said repair center has no record of this transaction. Whirlpool reps claim to have records of my claim...but... they keep asking did we tell you it had been handled? I say read my file... Customer rep says my file is hard to understand (i.e. it is long). But they assure me they are empowered to help me. Maybe they should look up that word.Today...it is not Whirlpool customer service fault! No... It is being handled by a Product Replacement Specialist... I bought a new home from Pulte recently. All of the kitchen appliances were Whirlpool which came with a 1 year warranty. I have had problems with 2 out of the three that were installed. The oven had a faulty control panel. I am still waiting for the replacement from Whirlpool which I am told could be months getting there. The dishwasher they installed, FX1700017, leaks water from the vent at the top of the door. When you open the door after running a load, there is a puddle under the vent from water that is trapped in the vent. The service company that they sent out said it is a design flaw and there is no fix for it.Whirlpool just keeps saying since there arent any error codes coming up, there isnt a problem with the way the dishwasher is functioning. I was told I could pay for another opinion, but they wouldnt guarantee to reimburse me if they couldnt prove the dishwasher wasnt functioning properly. I guess they dont consider someone slipping and falling because they didnt see the puddle before it got cleaned up a problem. I have given up trying to get anywhere with Whirlpool. I will take my $150.00 for a second opinion and the $200.00 that they want for an extended warranty and put it toward a dishwasher that doesnt leak! Beware!!

I spent 3 days sending pictures of the water heater, circuit breakers and water on garage floor with cc sent to my husbands email account and mine. Each day I would telephone the warranty department and told that they never received pictures and they couldnt do anything until they received the pictures. I asked for a supervisor who wouldnt even come to the phone. Both my husband and myself received the pics and email just fine. They refused to give me contact phone numbers for supervisors. Out of frustration I called the Lowes store where I purchased and a store representative spent 4 hours making phone calls trying to help. She was completely frustrated as well. I was told even though there is a 6 year warranty, I am to pay parts and labor and that the repair company for my area that Whirlpool utilizes doesnt even deal with Whirlpool parts so that whatever is needed would have to be ordered! Im on day 4 of no hot water, this is absolutely ridiculous. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product! This product was installed by Lowes and inspected by the state, not a DIY!

I bought a Whirlpool Gold Series Microwave, model # WMH76718AW, on 2/19/13. It stopped working 1/25/15. It doesnt heat food anymore. I also have a whirlpool dishwasher that doesnt clean dishes. Whirlpool products are junk. Whirlpool customer service is awful. The cost of fixing this lemon and then buying an extended warranty for the repair (which they recommend) will make this a $1000 piece of garbage. They dont stand behind their defective products. Ill never buy another one again.

In addition to that I find the HE rating a joke as it takes 2+ hours to run a load of whites despite it saying on the read out that it will be 1 hour and 4 minutes, it literally tears up my clothes. I have now gone through 3 sets of sheets, 4 towels, 5 baby onesies... How can a washer that doesnt have an agitator cause holes and shredding in a garment? I honestly dont know what to do anymore. It takes two days to do the wash for 2 people when I could get it done in hours with my old machine. And to think I spent close to $900 on this washer makes me sick! I want to go back to my old agitator type washer from Maytag!

We bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator new. When the first one was delivered it had electronic problems. We sent that one back. The next one, same model, seemed to be alright for a few days then it developed electronic problems. My son discovered the problem was caused by a faulty door panel in the freezer. The panel would come loose and if you knocked it back in place the electronics would work until the panel came loose again. Whirlpool would do nothing about our complaint. Now the refrigerator section freezes things. We paid to have it fixed 2 months ago and now have the problem again. The repairman said he had brought up concerns in meetings about the same door problems and been blown off. Our food is freezing in the refrigerator again and Whirlpool has blown us off again. We will never buy Whirlpool again. I trusted Consumers Report when I bought the Whirlpool and that goes to show you that doesnt always work either.

Purchased this dishwasher in January 2012, and it stopped working in May 2015. We replaced thermal fuse a year ago and just had to replace the control panel. It worked for 1 day and through 2 wash cycles, but during the 3rd wash cycle, it failed to drain and no power again, which is the same problem we had before. We opted to also replace the control board, just to be safe. Lol. What a piece of junk! Whirlpool is a pathetic excuse for a company, and, judging from others experiences with the customer service department, we will not bother contacting these ** since they clearly have no interest in providing any service at all to their customers. I have had many other lower end dishwasher models, and all of them worked well past the 5 - 10 year mark and never stopped working or required any service. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER APPLIANCE FROM WHIRLPOOL AND HAVE SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE I KNOW. Good luck, Whirlpool. I do not expect they will be around in 10 years. Lol. Do not give your hard earned money to these idiots for the junk that they peddle, and please let your local appliance dealer know why you wish to purchase any other brand BUT Whirlpool. Consumers are not stupid, Whirlpool! You are ignorant for banking on that and should be shut down for your unfair business practices, not to mention misrepresentation of your despicable products.

Whirlpool with four burner and the model that you self-clean the oven. It had all the features I wanted and Whirlpool has been around for a long time. Cost was right for my budget and it had all the options to it. I would have to move it out from the wall to find the model. Love the oven and the fact that I dont have to use caustic cleaners to clean it but simply have to wipe the dust out. One burner does not work and I will have to get it repaired. I shopped at a scratch and dent sale. The price was right and I could barely see the scratch and it had all the usual warranties. I need moderately priced appliances and if there were expensive features on it that I have not previously used, I would probably decline it. I do basic cooking and do not need expensive accessories. I can on my range and I have found the burners do not hold up well for canning. The burner I use for canning is the only one I have had problems with. That is the only problem I have had with the range at all. If anyone plans to can, consider purchasing the coil that is heavier to sustain the weight of the heavy canner. I would not be afraid to purchase Whirlpool again. My range is about 10 years old and other than that burner, I have had no difficulty. It is a mid-price range.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine is less than five years old. First repair was replacement of control panel (under warranty). Second, third and fourth attempts to fix the out-of-balance problem which continually caused the machine to shut down altogether (even a small load) left my repairman totally frustrated after replacing most of the parts, finally telling me it just cant be fixed! What? I paid over $1,000 for this machine in Oct. 2007 and expected it to last many, many years. My mother-in-law has a washing machine she bought used in 1979 and it is still working beautifully. Ive read the 14 pages of complaints on the Consumer Affairs website and agree with Diana in Kissimmee, Fl - I am sick to my stomach not only for Whirlpool not recalling the Cabrio, but for Lowes and Sears and any other supposedly family-friendly business for continuing to sell it! Someone please contact me if you know of a class action suit being filed.

Our 4-year old Whirlpool microwave suddenly stopped heating. We thought that we forgot to push something so we tried again to start it. This time, it started to spark. We bought a new microwave oven and foolishly bought another over the range Whirlpool microwave. This was about 1 1/2 years ago. The second Whirlpool microwave oven stopped heating as well. F7 came up on the controls which meant that the magnetron failed in this second microwave as well. We called Whirlpool and they said they would only repair it if we paid for the repair which would have cost almost as much as a new microwave and maybe more if other parts were involved. Next, last year, 2012, the pump on our Whirlpool dishwasher broke and once again, it was too expensive to repair it. We had to buy another dishwasher so we bought a Maytag, not knowing that they were made by Whirlpool. I guess we will have to wait until that guarantee is up before that also breaks. Also, last year, our Whirlpool washer pump broke and that cost us a few hundred dollars to repair. From the complaints that I am reading from people about their Whirlpool appliances, it is seems that their products are made to last just until the warranties expire. We should start a class action against Whirlpool. On many sites, I have read numerous complaints about Whirlpool products, the majority about the magnetrons in their microwave ovens breaking during and shortly after guarantees run out. They should not be allowed to get away with this. BBB, Consumer Affairs, where are you? To the many of you who have been burned by Whirlpool, I hope you have contacted the BBB and Consumer Affairs and maybe even the Attorney Generals office in your home state.

We purchased a Whirlpool Gas Water Heater (Model No. N40T61-343) from Lowes in the Summer of 2013. 2.5 years later, the water heater goes out as of 01/19/2016. Therefore, I contacted the telephone number on the side of the water heater in order to restart the water heater. We followed the instructions by pushing in the pilot button, as well the ignition button. To no avail, the water heater did not restart. I called customer service on Thursday (01/21/2016) to speak with a representative. She said that we needed another Thermopile and a Gas Valve replacement. So, who is going to put it on? It would cost as much as getting a whole new water heater. Therefore, we are going to Menards to purchase the Richmond Gas Water Heater. We had a Richmond once before; and it lasted from 1999 or 2000, until 2013.After reading all the reviews about this brand water heater (Whirlpool), no wonder people are complaining. Ladies and gentlemen, do yourselves a favor and not buy a Whirlpool Water Heater. The only thing that Whirlpool is good for is only their name. Their Water Heaters in particular are worthless pieces of junk. NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL GAS WATER HEATER AGAIN!!!

I purchased a dishwasher from Menards. It was a top of the line Whirlpool Dishwasher. We ordered new cabinets for a kitchen upgrade and when the cabinets arrived they were damaged during Thanksgiving holiday. We purchased the dishwasher and it sat in our garage until the second set of cabinets arrived in mid January.Once the GC installed the new cabinets we noticed a small dent in the front of the stainless steel dishwasher. I notified Whirlpool and they took my model and serial number. The supervisor April said there is nothing that I can do. You passed the 30 day cosmetic warranty. I explained the issue to her and she didnt seem to care. The dishwasher sat in the garage for 7-8 weeks. This is not the consumers fault. This company could of sent a service mechanic out and replaced the front panel. But she chose to ready some meaningless policy to me. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again, and I will tell everyone about the poor and unprofessional service that Whirlpool offers.

The washing machine is making inviolable noise. I had purchase a semi-auto Whirlpool washing machine from Lotus Koh-e-fiza, Bhopal two months ago. Initially, the company sent a man for demonstration, and at that time, the machine was making a sound and the mechanic removed his back plate and his components and saw that the plate of heating rod is unscrewed. He temporarily tightened that plate with normal screw, and after two months, the same sound is coming again. At present, we are not using the product for the past 5 days and launched a complaint to customer care. The call attender said that the problem will be solved in 20 hours but no one came within 4 days. Today, 21 September 2011, I called to customer care. He was telling me that the complaint has been attended by our attender and at present, no complaint is pending. The washing machine is in warranty period and I am not satisfied with the service of Whirlpool. My Duet washer is just 3 years old and has had light use as there are only two people in the household. After just 3 short years the machine stopped working. We were told it needed a controller board and new valves. The cost of the repair was quoted at $733.00. This is far more than we paid for the machine. So we called customer service and at first they thought they could sell us a plan for $350.00 that would cover the repair but it was denied by the supervisor. So zero help, absolutely nothing. Now the backdrop here is that our last Whirlpool (same type) is still in use with our son no repairs in 15 years. I purchased my Whirlpool Gold series french door refrigerator 3 years ago. I bought Whirlpool because it being an American company and a brand I thought I would be pleased with. Wrong! I have had nothing but problems with this refrigerator. Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty! Just a year old, my ice maker stopped working. Then, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Circuit boards were replaced, fan motors, etc. over $1500.00 in parts and labor and the entire summer to have it fixed. This past August, ice maker stopped working again. Then, stopped cooling. I am now at week 6 without a functioning refrigerator. While I am thankful I have an extended warranty, through the store that I purchased this refrigerator, I am not thrilled with the amount of time that has passed between each visit and the fact that it is the exact same parts that are once again being replaced. This refrigerator is a LEMON. Do not buy this brand.

I have a two-year-old top of the line Whirlpool Duet Steam washer. Cleaning performance is adequate at best, but my biggest complaint is about the visible mold buildup that collects on the water dispensing plate as well as on the detergent, bleach and softener dispenser and rubber lining of the washer opening. I have cleaned the removable detergent dispenser weekly since purchasing. The water dispensing plate has a continuous buildup of thick black mold that can only be removed with a tooth brush and bleach and only a small portion of those openings are reachable. I have cleaned the machine with Affresh as recommended and exactly as the manufacturer recommends. Nothing changes! I contacted Whirlpool and was told this was normal for all washers in which some moisture always remains and that I should continue to clean and leave the door and dispenser drawer open to allow the areas to air dry. So, I have done all of those things for the past year and nothing has changed! I received notification that a class action suit had been filed against Whirlpool for this mold issue but have not been contacted in any other way. Not only is this mold visibly disgusting but certainly is worrisome from a health perspective. When I contacted the company a second time, I was told there was nothing that could be done and it was in no way a design flaw on the part of Whirlpool.

Despite my claim being submitted within the first 4 months of purchase, Whirlpool would not assist in solving our issue. We purchased all major appliances from Whirlpool, to furnish our new home in August 2021. All appliances were white. The top of our gas range began discolouring immediately following the first use. The inside of the four corners immediately began to ware due to heat. I figured Id have time to put my claim in, and thought to see if it got worse. Once I finally had time to deal with the issue, I contacted them only to find out that we only had 30 days from the date of purchase (of which included 3 months of waiting for the products to arrive) to claim the issue, given that it was considered Cosmetic. Easy fix, since theyd simply have to change the top of the stove, but Whirlpool denied our claim. Do not purchase this product, unless youre looking for a sub-standard product and customer service.

Similar to what I am reading below and on other sites, my hot water heater stopped working. I spent about an hour trying to relight the pilot light, which apparently you cant do with this model because it breaks. My first thought and action was to call a plumber to come fix it. When he arrived he said it was reverse thread and that I would have to call Lowes to get a replacement part. When I called Lowes they said they would call Whirlpool and then give me a call back. Two days later I still havent heard back or taken a shower; I am going to the gym tonight. Finally, I got online and called the 800-number and am being sent a part to arrive tomorrow. I asked to be reimbursed for the cost of the plumber since they obviously knew they had a problem (they assumed why I was calling the warranty line) and redesigned the issue with a voluntary recall. Tension springs on outer tub replaced at same time. Was told the excessive grinding and bumping of the tub was not the reason for the gear shredding.06/30/2017 same problem, I set a repair date 07/01/2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one shows and no call. I call Whirlpool and they are sorry and set the appointment the same day for before 5:00 p.m. No one shows our calls. I call back. Already closed. I call the next day. I hung up and called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor I had previously spoke with. He called an outside repair company that Whirlpool uses in this area. New date 07/12/2017. Repairman shows and I explain the washer plate was loose again and I smelled metal burning. I had told my wife to continue to use the machine to wash the clothes. The repairman tells me I voided the warranty by doing this. Im standing in the garage while he has his head in the machine trying to get the washer plate out. He shuts the lid and turns the machine on wash/spin says the machine is ok. We have an exchange of words and tell him I want to see the washer plate gears. He says he cant get the plate out now and I wasnt there for him to show it to me. This continued until he forced the plate off. He called Tech Support to say I voided the warranty. He told them customer claims loud noises and banging. I asked to speak to Tech but he tells me they dont speak with the customer. I looked at the gears on the washer plate and the transmission. Both had metal shavings. He tells me he is going to do me a favor and replace both. Its supposed to take a week. Wait and see. I have asked for a replacement or money for the machine through Whirlpool. I was told there has to be at least 4 repair requests for the same problem and the repairman has to determine that there is a problem or that its a lemon. I will not recommend or purchase another Whirlpool product.

This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!
