6 week old High Efficiency Washer leaves lint and soap lines. Ive tried deep water wash plus the 2 rinse settings and I still have to wash the load twice to get rid of the lint lines and soap lines. Ive also tried every combination of settings to no avail and I follow the guide to a tee because this machine actually weighs the clothes to determine the water level. Maytag customer service was polite but useless. Im assuming its the poor design but customer service says I will be charge for the warranty service call if no problem is found. Maytag, another fine company down the drain. PS, parts are made in China.

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

We had been a Whirlpool only brand household for as long as I can remember. When our Whirlpool washer and dryer gave out on us 11 years ago, we had a friend swear by the quality of Maytag appliances and decided to try something new. We purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer set. We have had our Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer since 2003 and both appliances are still as dependable and hard working as the day we purchased them. We live in a house with well water and our water is treated to be soft water.We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren who have come and put our machines through some heavy duty challenges when their non-Maytag brand washers and dryers have failed them. We are still very satisfied with our Maytag purchase some 11 years later, and so are our daughters and grandchildren!

Purchase of what we thought was high quality Maytag dishwasher. Paid $600 and $250 to get it installed, which was really just to take out the old dishwasher we wish now we had kept, and plug in the new one. After 2 years, repairs needed to replace the control panel and key pad must be replaced, cost $340 plus labor. We will never buy Maytag again. Called their hotline, 800-877-6777. They cannot offer any help. Called the co. we bought it from, a Maytag dealer, Haleys Maytag of Antigonish, Nova Scotia. They too offered nothing except to sell us parts... control panel and key pad. Called lawyer who has class action suit now against Maytag, Eppsteiner & Florica. They are not representing customers who live in Canada, only U.S.My recommendation to Maytag dealer who only sells Maytags, Haleys Maytag of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, find another company to represent. Maytag is a real loser. Never again purchase a Maytag, and I told 10 people who will tell 10 people... who will tell 10 people. Our model number... same as all of yours... the loser MDB6709AWW1. Dont waste your money buying this overpriced dishwasher that will then require you to spend more money every 2 years on a Control panel and Key pad that are defective from the factory.

2 Year old washer. First the actuator was replaced. A 150.00 charge. Two months later the pump is shot. Another 200,00 to replace the pump. This is worst piece of ** washer I have owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

Maytag Bravo X-We bought this washing machine not even 4 years (February 2013) ago from Lowes. We had this issue before the warranty went up a couple of times and then it stopped and started working fine. We contacted Maytag before... But of course beings the issue resolved there was no way to send someone out here to troubleshoot the problem. Now it is doing it all the time. A few months ago it went out of warranty. We are having issues with it going into the spin cycle and it will stop there and it will not spin out my clothes and finish draining. Contacted them and they want to charge money for a service tech to come out just to look at it. Lord only knows how much it would cost to fix.

I hate this machine: Maytag bravo xl washer. Clothes come out extremely wrinkled, drum so deep can barely reach bottom on my tip toes & Im 57 & clothes dont come out clean. I cant wait to replace it!!! Why are clothes so wrinkled, I want to hang dry things & everything has to be ironed.

I bought this Maytag Dryer in May 23, 2015. I had nothing but problems. I had 4 techs come out and say different reasons why it does not work. I had the vent exhaust clean out. Still not working, the one tech said there was not enough clothes for the dryer to sense it wet. I did a huge load, still doesn’t work. The sensor for the vent keeps popping up and it’s cleaned. I have to pull it out and in to get the signal light out. Cant turn on the machine. It still does not work. I tried contacting Lowe’s, since I bought an additional services plan. They said I have to call every thirty days for three months. That means I have to take my time out of work and wait for a tech for three months to get make a complaint and TRY to get new one. I really disappointed with Maytag and Lowe’s. I have a tech coming out this Monday, 11/23/2015 for another services call. I will never buy at Lowe’s or Maytag again. How many times does a certified tech from Maytag have to come out check a brand new dryer?

Purchased a Maytag Bravo Quiet Washing machine. Nice and big for our family and uses less water. Generally okay with it (occasionally need to rinse clothes again as they have streaks/spots after the hand-wash cycle due to low water feature). This year it started making a loud noise while spinning, obviously the bearing. Googled reviews on this washer, reviewers explained Maytag now owned by Whirlpool and not the quality it used to be. Called the repair line, Whirlpool refused to say whether or not this would be covered by the limited warranty, even though it is very clear which part is causing the problem. The only way they would tell is if someone came out, then we were charged $149 for 5 minutes of looking at the machine to be told it isnt covered. In the end we will order the part and fix it ourselves. We will remember not to buy Maytag again.

Four years ago we upgraded our 20+ year old Maytag washer and dryer to go with a more water efficient model. The old units were working like champs so we upgraded with Maytag assuming it to be equal quality. From the beginning we were not pleased with the washers cleaning ability and now we have electrical problems and a leaking transmission. Our serviceman estimated repairs to be the cost of a new washer. (Im not talking about a Maytag for replacement.) I e-mailed the Maytag company and they basically said Too Bad. Totally disappointed!! Wish we had our old units back.

Same complaint as most of the others: bought a refrigerator in 2013 and about one month after the 1 year warranty had run out the freezer started leaking water all over the floor and build up is on the bottom of the freezer, making it difficult to pull out the metal drawer. :( We do not have the water even hooked up to the automatic icemaker so have no clue where the water is coming from. Clothes washer has never worked properly from day one, didnt fill up with enough water. Had the repair man here while the warranty was still in effect and he verified that the washer DID not fill with enough water therefore leaving soap and grime on our clothes. :( He had to order an entire new brain and replaced it. Worked for a couple of months better than it ever DID and now back to soapy, grimy, dirty clothes again. Why isnt there a recall on the part that keeps backing up on these bottom freezer Maytag refrigerators? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit and get these things recalled and replaced. Spent a lot of money on this brand new refrigerator and was so jazzed to get a brand new one for the first time in my life. :( Well that was surly short-lived. Shame on you Maytag, your company has really gone downhill. I would love it if an attorney could start a class action lawsuit with Maytag on their bottom freezers.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

I love my new fridge! It has all the bells and whistles and looks/works great! My ice maker is the bomb! Best design Ive ever seen!

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... I have been struggling with this machine for the last year. Just does not wash. I have tried power wash. Bulky sheets. Double rinse and nothing works. I bought this machine last year from Lowes and its my worst investment. When the load is finished the clothes are still dirty. Actually worst than when they went in. Read the entire booklet to no avail. Hate this machine

I purchased a MTW6600TB0 Washer and Dryer on 6/17/07. I have had issues with the washer from the beginning; smell in towels and mechanical problems as well. The machine does not fill properly and receive error codes that are electrical issues per A & E service. I get LF errors occasionally and randomly on different cycles. I finally called for service because I now am receiving F51 Error, which has to do with the basket per A & E service technician. I was told on Black Friday that my machine required both baskets and the rotary motor. My machine is just 4/5 years old. No unusual wear and tear. There are only three people in my family and we live in a fairly warm climate so no heavy winter clothing, etc. I was told that my stainless steel basket was rusting to my plastic basket. I am still trying to comprehend the fact that two materials that are not supposed to rust are rusting. After looking for a new washer over Thanksgiving weekend, I find out that Maytag warranties their stainless steel basket and rotary motors for 10 years. So do they warranty the things they say the warranty or not? Of course, it is a holiday weekend and I cannot get a hold of Maytag. I paid for a service call and the technician told me I would be responsible for the repairs at about $500 for parts plus labor. I looked up the parts he recommended replacing and it was over $800. I paid $1000 for this machine less than 5 years ago. Thats $200 a year for the privilege to use a Maytag. Additionally, my set is black. I can not find a black washer anywhere.

The HE version of Maytag washer leaves the clothes smelling bad. There are suggestions to remedy this, but why do these type washers cause this? The suggestions dont work. No more HE washers of any brand.

I am writing for your assistance with an ongoing problem that I am having with my Maytag Series 2000 front-loading clothes washing machine. I am, frankly, astonished and frustrated beyond any means of coping with the response I have gotten from Maytag about the lemon washing machine that was sold to me. As I have never before had any sort of reason to complain about any major appliance purchase (nor about any car or house purchase), I’m not yet sure of what avenues are available to me. It seems prudent to inquire of your office before getting a private attorney to help me with this. The following is my situation:First of all, I am asking for a replacement washing machine. I am clearly saddled with a lemon.On or around December 2010, we purchased the Maytag Series 2000 washing machine from Cedar Appliance of Medford, MA. Within the first several months, the washer started ripping, shredding, and putting holes in our clothes. This did not happen during every wash cycle, just sometimes. At the time, we didn’t know if it was the washer or the (also new) Maytag dryer that was causing it. After living with this for some time, we decided to call Cedar Appliance for service. Cedar came out several times to look at the machines and they couldn’t tell what machine was causing the holes. Eventually, I started examining every article coming out of the washer to determine which machine was causing the problem. Over time and many visits later, Cedar Appliance referred us to L.A.R. Service of Wakefield MA, which they called Maytag service.L.A.R. Service came out and looked at it. They said that we were missing a part. They ordered the part and installed it and said everything should be fine. They also sold us an extended service contract. I am still having the exact same problem with the machine. Today I called L.A.R. and they told me that I had to call Cedar to get an authorization for service. I called Cedar and they told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and after spending an inordinate amount of time recalling the details, the service representative told me that I could pay up front for an extended warranty and they would send someone out. I asked for a supervisor. I got Kitty. Kitty told me that Maytag would not replace my machine, which is clearly a lemon because I hadn’t yet had enough service done on it. I explained that I have spent hours calling for service, scheduling service, waiting for service, supervising service, and paying for service. She explained that on only one service call did they install new parts, so I needed more service. So, I should have demanded new parts on each of these service calls so that I would have earned some credibility for my lemon machine?The fact is that my family and I have lost hundreds of dollars on torn and ruined clothing caused by a new washing machine! After the boot was installed, or replaced (I’m not sure exactly what was done), we are experiencing the exact same problem. When the L.A.R. Service people left last time, they told me the problem was solved. It wasn’t. This is not normal. This is a lemon machine.Its one thing to have clothes destroyed, but what is extra frustrating is that I never know when the machine is going to destroy an article of clothing. This past Friday, we were preparing to go out of town for our daughter’s basketball tournament. I took the clothes out of the washer on Friday evening to discover that one of the blue uniforms was destroyed. There was no time to replace the uniform and my daughter was out of luck. This means that I cannot put an article of clothing into the washer that I absolutely have to have. I can’t live this way. This is a relatively new washer that should last 20 years. Right now, I can’t wash any important article of clothing. I’ve been told before that it was all set. Kitty has L.A.R. coming again this Wednesday to repair the machine. What am I supposed to do when it’s repaired? Put a uniform jersey in it? This is a very brief description of the experience I have had over the past 1.5 years with this new machine. The hours, money, disappointment, and utter frustration is more than I can describe in an email. I have attached three photos of recently destroyed items. Unfortunately, I threw away tens of items several months ago when L.A.R. fixed it.Is this unbelievable? Or are my expectations too high? Is this really what Maytag/Whirlpool has in mind for customer service? Is this really what they mean by standing behind their products? Why wouldn’t or why shouldn’t Maytag replace this machine? How much more time, money, and tears is a customer expected to spend and endure? How do I regain peace of mind and quality of running a household? Am I supposed to toss this machine and buy a new one? Believe me, that’s what I will have to do if I can’t get relief on this problem. There is no way that I can go many more months with this headache. In many ways, buying a brand new machine would be worth the peace of mind, but I am trying to make sure that my family, as consumers, are treated properly. It is also the principle of the thing. Purchased this machine to replace the recalled Samsung washer that was exploding. I should have kept my Samsung. I loved it and had no complaints, but since there were reports of it exploding I took the rebate and purchased the Maytag Bravo Nightmare. Everything you have read or will read here is true. I would spend hours, I mean hours trying to do a load of laundry. If the cycle would complete itself, the clothes would be soaking wet, and they never smelled clean. I would try rinsing again and the cycle would start out with 18 minutes and I would return to the machine 1 hour later and it would be still running water and still have 18 minutes or more left. I watched it complete the spin cycle and start the rinse cycle again. We had the service guy out several times - he would call the techs and they would test the machine and say nothing was wrong other than it was off balance. They said I was using the wrong detergent - when proving that I was using an HE detergent, they counseled me on how to lay the laundry into the machine, and said I was using too much laundry detergent. After babysitting this machine for more than a year, and being told by Lowes Customer Service that the techs say there is nothing wrong with the it, I was fed up. I called Lowes and told them to send their techs to my house to do the laundry. I threatened to call for service every week until my extended warranty was exhausted. They finally gave me a merchandise card valued worth the purchase of the machine. Now, I have the painful decision of deciding what to buy next - It wont be a Maytag!

The pulley on the dryer vent keeps falling off due to poor design. We had a repairman fix the problem under warranty, but the dryer was purchased in 2010 and this is the third time it has fallen off. I have taken the dryer apart and repaired it myself, as I am quite capable, but I called Maytag Customer Service to see if there is something else I should do or replace. They told me they never heard of the problem and they would recommend a service man repair it, which would cost me money and It wasnt needed. No updated part was recommended, or any other help at all, for that matter. I am very unhappy with the Maytag products and will never buy anything again.

After reading several of the reviews, it looks like Maytag doesnt get it - or maybe they do and its a plot to make more money. Our dishwasher model MDB8959FSZ4 was installed in Dec. 2016. Within the year, it started leaking. After many service calls it was determined that the arms holding the upper rack were not installed properly and were pushing against the door and water was coming out. After that was replaced, weve had 2 years of relative good use. Now, it wont empty and that started after smelling something burning. The burning smell has gone away but it wont complete a cycle. Service tells us its the drainage pump and that will cost nearly $500 to replace. We wont be spending another dime on this piece of crap. Well replace it with NOT A MAYTAG. Im wondering if it has to do with the control panel as many others have mentioned. We dont care to find out at this point. We are buying something else.

My husband bought me a Maytag washer as a surprise gift. I was so excited to get a Maytag. I will never purchase a Maytag again. I am so tired of washing, rewashing and rerinsing my clothes and still not getting the soap out. I have used every different kind of detergent and used with and without fabric softener. I have also tried cold, warm and hot water. I would rather use more water and get the soap out instead of using more electricity to keep rewashing my clothes and then in the end having to take a wet cloth to get the soap out. Never had to do this with any other washer I owned. Very disappointed as I always thought Maytag was the best.

We purchased washer at Sears 6 years ago. Have had same issues for 5 or more years. Sears has been out to check it 6 to 7 times! They clean it out, tell me to use (expensive) Affresh tablets monthly, problem solved but it never is! When we run our washer and walk in laundry room it smells like a sewer. If we open lid its even worse. I use Norwex all naturally, biodegradable laundry detergent. There is nothing Ive done to create this smell. Its a manufactured problem that probably relates to ALL the other issues with this crappie washer that Maytag will do nothing about. I called Sears for 7th or 8th time, said they could send someone out AGAIN, I said thats a waste of my time and yours. They told me to call Maytag. They wont do anything (warranty is up). Of course there are NO ISSUES OR RECALLS on this washer and obviously there should be with not ONE good review! Im angry. You all should be too. We paid good $ for a product that used to have a good name and they are screwing us. I think we should ban together with a class action lawsuit. Please give me your thoughts. They know something isnt right and they shouldnt get away with this.

Owned my Maytag Maxima front loading HE washer for just under 2 years. Went to turn it on one day and got an error code that I later found out meant the computer board went bad (a very costly expense). I called Maytag and explained that a $1200 washing machine should last more than 23 months and if they stand behind their products they should do something to cover this repair. Even after speaking to a manager they told me too bad they couldnt help me. But they would be happy to sell me a $350 extended warranty.... Never again Maytag/Whirlpool!

Maytag WFW7590FW & YWED75HEFW 24 Compact Washer and Dryer: These 2 machines are a lemon and the extended warranty plan was completely disappointed. Both needs maintenance before the 1 year warranty ends. The washer was the worst between the pair. The washer cannot spin the laundry dry. The Home Depot extended warranty plan was not the cost. It takes 2 business day for the service call to call us back. Then a schedule date was 2 days later. The service person complained about not getting authorization to do the work without charging us. He did even showed up for the 3rd call. He did nothing to resolve the issue and said the diagnostics showed there was a load issue, which was not true. A very light load still didnt spin dry. The washer not spinning clothing dry issue has been more than 1 month and is still not resolved. The repair person Dean didnt even re-schedule another date after not showing up today. There is a 90 day policy that we cant request for another repair person to attend to the issue. The dryer also made excessive noise which was caused by a broken attachment that established the drum.

Our brand new Maytag dishwasher model number MDB87749SBM2 was professionally installed on 7/31/2013. In fall of 2015 my control panel started acting up. I was unable to select certain wash cycles. The problem would come and go. By January 2016 my lock button would freeze and I was unable to unlock or select any wash cycles. By February 2016 my control panel went out completely. It wont turn on, not a single light. It is fried.When Googling the issue I found that we are 1 of MANY with faulty control panels not only on our particular model but on many Maytag dishwashers. They all seem to have the same problem, right around to 2-3 year old mark. One would think dishwashers would last, like before. A dishwasher shouldnt need to be replaced or need a major repair so soon. The one our new dishwasher replaced was 12 years old and was working just fine. We just wanted to upgrade to stainless steel. Wow what an upgrade haha! Maytag should be recalling these control panels. Their name is no longer a trusted name in our home.

On March 2011, I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model #MDB7749AWB1. The dishwasher worked excellent for 16 months. One morning, with dishes loaded and ready to go, the start button would not light up. The other buttons did light up but that did me no good, I need the start button. A few days later, none of the buttons would light up. I found a repair person who said it would cost over $200.00 to make repairs. I refuse to put another penny with no guarantee that this new part would work. I will never ever buy another Maytag appliance. The last inexpensive, unknown manufacturers dishwasher lasted me 13 years. Do not waste your money on this thing.

We bought what was supposed to be the top of the line Maytag dishwasher as part of a kitchen remodel in 2011. Well tonight it has quit working for the 3rd time! I think this is the last straw for us! Tired of spending all this money having it fixed. We also bought a Maytag microwave at the same time that has been nothing but trouble from day 1, but not as bad as the dishwasher. I can promise you we will never buy another Maytag product ever. Heck at this point, I would not accept a free Maytag machine of any kind! Stay away from Maytag!! Just to be more specific, the first time the dishwasher quit it was the board and cost us half as much as the dishwasher. I see lots of mentions of boards going out early.

I am online now because we have the same problem. Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old. Watched a video on YouTube how to fix problem and repairman said engineers who created design must have been on drugs. I think hes right. Very common problem. Have to call repairman!!

Currently own model MTB1504ARW, serial number 12541413GT refrigerator. The defrost thermostat broke and it is causing the device to frost over and not cool. Maytag is trying to replace the part with part number 63001051 and that part does not match the part that came with the machine. I spoke with a supervisor, Mr. ** who certainly was not a problem solver or any help, in other words, lacks customer service. I explained the installation of the wrong part may be dangerous and could cause a potential fire or hazard. He assured me this was the part available, but also said it was discontinued and I would have to find it with an outside vendor. I explained I compared the part removed and the part they are suggestion, per the part list, and its the wrong part. As a supervisor, Mr. ** failed to provide true customer service for myself and future customers who may be in the same situation, with the potential of causing a hazard for customers. The Maytag supervisor should learn to provide customer service and prevent possible hazards for customers, taking the next necessary steps or research the issue with other departments within Maytag. The parts below are evidence of the issue, the suggested part has two wires, the one from the refrigerator has three... poor customer service, at best with potential hazards to families and children. It may because their appliances dont break, according to their commercials, they just have too much time on their hands and cant provide the assistance that is needed.

Have had this side by side for a long time and it is great. Have not had any problems with it. Also have had an Amana which we love as well. These are side by side and are frost free and never have to clean.

All of a sudden, I found water on the floor and after opening up the front door, I see where around the part that sticks of on the inside of the door, there is a big piece of plastic that has broken off and cracked all the way across the bottom of the door and is missing. It is allowing the water to leak down the front of the bottom of the washer and onto the floor.

My Maytag refrigerator is less than 5 years old; the compressor went out (only warrantied for 1 year, 5 years used to be the minimum). I contacted the company who now owns Maytag, I believe Whirlpool. They told me they can fix it, no matter what the problem is, for $380.00. It turns out they sold me an extended warranty, but that was never explained in the conversation. Prior to contacting them, I had Sears out to fix it; they are the ones that told me it was the compressor. 1 week after buying the extended warranty, the repair company came out to fix it and found out the refrigerator was unplugged and informed me it needed to be plugged in for 24 hours in order for him to determine what was wrong with it. I scheduled an appointment 1 week later. When they came back, they said it was the compressor, and they needed to order the parts. 1 week later, they came back, and the compressor they came with did not work. 3 weeks now, no refrigerator. They said they would put a rush on the order, haha. Now, I have to wait another 8 days for them to come out to repair. 4 weeks without a refrigerator? I think there is some type of implied warranty when you purchase large appliances; these companies are getting away with murder. Are refrigerators now disposable commodities? Cheaper to buy new ones than repair the new ones? What will happen to our landfills?

Had this front loading washer 13 months when the circuit board failed. I pitched a huge fit as Maytag wanted to charge me 75% of a new washer for the circuit board replacement. Fortunately they caved. I like how well it spins out and washes well. The door gasket is hard to keep clean. Has fresh setting so clothes do not get moldy if you leave them too long.

Problem with the front panel are the dishwasher has been replaced 2 times in 3 months. Was told by the tech repair person is not a well made product. He would replace it if he could had a warranty and added a new warranty for 1 year and is up again and of course have to do it. Was told if it happens again they most likely replace with a new unit. Hopefully. Not happy.

I bought a Maytag MDB7809AWW2 dishwasher two years ago. The control panel just started doing free-games. Lights would come on and off during the cleaning cycle. When selecting a cleaning cycle, some functions would be automatically selected without the capability to deselect them. It is our second and last Maytag dishwasher. Stay away from them!

My husband and I purchased our Bravo washer and dryer from Home Depot about 5 years ago. They have been the worst ever. Clothes always tear and we continue to receive an F1 error every time we try to wash something. I dont have the money to buy a new one, but I sure wish I did. I will never buy a Maytag anything ever!

I purchased Maytag dishwasher Model #MDB7749SBW in November of 2013. The front touch panel no longer works. Everytime I push the selection for wash it automatically jumps to Cancel. This dishwasher is less than 2 years old. I didnt purchase the extended warranty simply because I thought I was purchasing a very reliable product. Lonely Maytag Repairman of old. Ha Ha. I am very disappointed and am telling friends about this and all of the reviews Ive read that are similar complaints. I would never purchase a Maytag product again.

Bravos 4.3 High Efficiency Washer - The worst washer ever. I recently returned from burying my step-mother. She actually used the same washer and dryer, by Maytag, for over 50 years. Those days are gone forever. This is my second set of Maytags in ten years. The first literally stopped working just after the first year warranty ran out. I still have them inside my pantry, like a set of anchors. Notwithstanding that, I thought, Maytag was a good brand, it must have just been the style of machines, so I purchased these in January. After over six months of usage, I am amazed at how many times I have to wash a single load of clothing to get the items clean. Who cares if the machine saves water? What was wrong with having an agitator? I literally have to remove freshly laundered clothing, turn it over and run the wash again to get the top of the laundry clean. I have had a blanket finish for the fourth time to get it clean, only to have to hang it outside because it is so full of water, the weight keeps it from spinning properly. And why would you remove a timer feature which permits very busy, working people, to wash their items while they are on the way home or in the middle of the night so that there is no waiting to pop the clothes in the dryer? None of the cycles takes less than 80 minutes to complete. Who has 80 minutes to wait on the washer to do its job? I am so upset about the amount of money I spent on all of these machines. Just think, I could have brought the over 50 years old set home from my step-mothers and had a washer and dryer do what they were supposed to do -- clean the clothes.

2 major repairs in 8 years, ridiculous! We purchased a washer and electric dryer pair in Feb. 2012, had a repair for the control board (CPU) 4+ years under extended warranty, had another in 2018 for the same thing. I was told power surges could cause it, however I have a WHOLE HOUSE SURGE SUPPRESSOR ON THE INCOMING 200 AMP SERVICE AND KNOW THATS NOT THE PROBLEM!!! Had the same CPU go out again in Nov. 2020 so, rather than pay $370 for the part plus labor, we bought a top loading GE with an extended warranty and factory 10 years on the motor. We will never buy another Maytag product again. We were told that we shouldnt expect to get more than 6-7 years from a washer now, ridiculous. Manufacturers are outsourcing electronic boards overseas to maximize profit and could care less about quality control!!! Junk!!!

We purchased our Maytag 4000 series electric dryer in October 2011 from Best Buy. We did get a very good deal and have had little problems until this am. I moved laundry into the dryer and started it. While I was loading the washer, suddenly I heard a popping sound from the dryer and smelled smoke. Scared me looking into it. Sounds like either our electrical cord or our heating element blew. Coming from an era (born in the 1970s) where appliances should last at least 20 years, I am disappointed with Maytag. I shouldnt have problems at least until this thing is 10 years old. And even then I have higher expectations. So when I replace this, it will be with a better product.

The dishwasher would not start July 30 2015. Tried to get service around here and no shops could respond. Called Midsouth Distributors for circuit board. They did not have one but would order and gave me the part # W10595570 based on the Model # MDB7749SBW3. Hoping could find one quicker somewhere else. Ordered one overnight from Sears and planned to replace the board by myself. However, I noticed the flat wire with 14 wires in the ribbon cable had brown spots. From my experience in the electrical systems, I realized this must be shorting out the start signal to the dishwasher logic controller. Sure enough, after scraping this off with a sharp knife, I was able to start my dish washer.My previous MAYTAG lasted 20 years. I bought this one in February 2014 at Home Depot. The design for the electrical controls is obviously very poor as testified by so many angry owners. MAYTAG should be required to replace all these control panels with a improved design at their cost. I hope this obvious poor design of a part gets attention in the United States and ConsumerAffairs will help us. I have called 1-800-688-9900 and registered with MAYTAG a complaint about this poor design.

We spent $600 on a Maytag Jet Steam Plus dishwasher and its junk. We bought it in May of 2013 and the top panel is burnt out and the ribbon or control wires is corroded. Maytag wont pay for replacement parts and I wouldnt recommend anyone buy Maytag again. I thought it was supposedly a good brand but its nothing but garbage.

We bought a Maytag washer and dryer in April 2012. A few weeks ago the washer while it was spinning out, it sounded like it was metal on metal. Sears came out and said the transmission and the tub had to be replaced and the tub was created to the transmission. The washer we bought has a leaking drain pump after 3 years. When I called, they initially told me the part has been flagged as a potential quality issue. When I was passed to the next level to deal with it, they stuck to the you only have a 1 year warranty policy. There are numerous websites indicating this has been an issue for these brands. Simply put, they dont stand behind their products.

We had a Whirlpool stove/oven for many years, and it was finally time to trade it in. Everything about that unit was good. While shopping for another Whirlpool, the sales rep told us that Maytag and Whirlpool are one and the same. That we found, is false. An important feature for us in an appliance is the self cleaning oven. The Maytag oven had to be leveled four times after it was installed, in order for the self clean feature to function. The self clean part is only a small indented portion of the bottom of the oven, not the entire oven. And even that does not clean. After going through the dealership service about this problem, I contacted Maytag. My final frustrated summary to the rep was that I understand that we bought a lemon, and you are not going to help us in any way. I just want to say to anyone considering a Maytag stove and oven, raise your standard. If you choose Maytag, you will only be disappointed. I am.

Well Maytag, I have to say that I am very disappointed with your washer. When I put it on the bedding setting and try to wash a big load, it barely moves the load around. If you have a regular agitator to replace this useless one that is in this new washer I would like to have one. My laundry is barely getting washed and when you look inside the washer everything that is on the top stays on the top, not like the older washers where you could see that the laundry was getting sucked down with the proper agitator.

I purchased my Maytag Neptune pair on Jan. 24, 2005. I was unaware of the problems and lawsuit related to these items. Luckily, I didnt have any problems with them until May of this year. At that time, I spent $337.00 for a new control panel for the dryer. (Just because I didnt want to split up my set.) I expected them to last me for the rest of my life. Of course, the washer had started to do something even the repair man had never heard of before, right about the same time. I told him that the tub would fill up with gallons of water, and surprise me when I opened the door on various occasions, flooding my laundry room and the basement downstairs. Mind you, this would occur even with the water supply cut off to the machine, no hot or cold running to it.He performed a diagnostic test on it and said everything showed up fine. Of course, it didnt overflow while he was here. He is the one who told me about all the trouble and the lawsuits. I had wondered why I didnt see them for sale anymore. I have been keeping the water turned off except when I need to use it after all this time. It still happens! The repairman thought I was senile or something. I dont have a mold problem, no trouble with the door lock (yet), and out of all the comments and complaints Ive read online today, only this site had one with a problem of it flooding the house. My husband and I are on a fixed income, and here is this unit (that I thought would be my last) rotting out my floor and wall in the laundry room, and flooding my basement. Not to mention it rusting out the inside of the washer and its pedestal. I would like to hear from anyone else who had this water problem, and what it took to fix it.

We purchased a Maytag Dryer with the lint vent on top on March 21, 2014 from ABC Warehouse in Ann Arbor, MI. Whoever engineered this does not dry clothes. Trust me, this will be the last Maytag I buy. There is lint seeping out of the top and when you clean it the lint gets all over the place therefore, my laundry room is always full of dust.

Electric stove range is great. It was very affordable, this stove is very easy to clean and wipe down on the outside. I had it for 4 years and had no problem with it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget. It also has a warranty which is also a plus.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in January 2009. We did not begin using it until perhaps March of 2009, so just over 2 years ago. It gets ran maybe 1 to 2 times per week. I went to turn it on a day ago and the right side of the control panel, where you press the start button, does not work. When I checked Maytags website, I discovered there was a recall due to the heating element. So, I had the repair technician out and he told me that the control panel was bad and it would cost $300 for parts and labor to repair. We paid $600 for this dishwasher. Of course, we have the option of purchasing a new dishwasher and receive a rebate but that ends up being more than just ordering parts and replacing them ourselves, but something only 2 years old should not break. From reading all the other complaints on this forum, I am surprised that Maytag has not done something about the control panel and the humidity issue which seems to cause the control panel to go out. This is an expensive fix which Maytag needs to address. Come on Maytag!

Maytag washer Purchased December 2016. Washer is very slow: runs 1 hour plus. Wash takes a VERY long time. Small load only. Heavy loads go to Laundromat. Maytag does not clean clothes, always MUSTY smelling. Cycle OFTEN does not drain tub And forced to use Drain, Spin cycle to drain tub. Wrinkle cycle ties clothes in knots. Using AFRESH to clean tub makes no difference in foul odor. One service call, error codes found, computer reset. Repairman said that the MACHINE WORKS AS DESIGNED. Repairman said that any tiny bit of debris can cause washer to clog and fail to drain. At best clothes always wet, slow to dry. My old Whirlpool washed any sized load. Clothes always clean and fresh. I used laundry only when we had power outage. LIKELY WILL PUT THIS ON THE CURB. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator (freezer on the bottom) in August 2012. In 2014 we had to have the freezer repaired (defrost drain) which cost $153. This month, July 2015, we had to have the refrigerator repaired for another $293. The problem with the refrigerator the repairman told us is the control board (p/n W10503278). He stated that they didnt make the first board very well and hes been replacing this part quite frequently for customers. I only spent $799 on the refrigerator and I already have $446 into it. That is half of what I paid for it! I wouldnt recommend Maytag to anybody!

My Maytag Neptune washer also has a problem with mold build-up and now the door lock assembly is totally gone. I was unaware of the class action suit or I would have joined. I am just disappointed!

I have a stainless steel dishwasher, model MDBH985AWS10. Its about 5 years old. The control panel works intermittently -- Ive replaced and ruled out the door latch -- now Ive got the problem narrowed down to either the control panel or the circuit board. Ive read about this diagnostic cycle I could run to try to help diagnose the problem. I emailed Maytag for the code and waited a week and didnt get a response.I called them today and they said they cant give me the code--they only give that to their technicians. My dishwasher is not brand new, but I paid good money for it, and Id prefer to not have to guess what to buy when Im trying to repair it. Each of these parts costs about $150. Im not sure what the policy is for other dishwasher manufacturers, but for the next washer I buy, Ill find a company that either 1) has more reliable products or 2) at least tries to help the customer repair his own equipment.

I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer, plus the pedestals for each. In last August of this year the washer just stopped in the middle of a wash cycle. I placed a call to the customer service. The tech diagnosed and placed an order for a part and set an appointment for two weeks later, with a time window 1 to 5 pm. The person called at 5:30 to tell me he had an job before he could get to me. I had taken the day off to wait for him. I called and they ended up rescheduling, for two more weeks.. Tech came ordered different parts, tech did not show up. Tech came out again ordered new parts. Next week he arrived wrong parts. Washer still not extracting. New tech, new parts, new appointment, this was what happened throughout September and October. Tech was not happy with his job, stated that to me, would not do anything but install part, even if it didnt work. He took parts with him. The washer still not extracting. Last Thursday he didnt even have all the parts, made the decision to replace machine without discussing it with me. Told me Sears would call me in 48 hours. Received call today Tuesday. Go to Sears to have it replaced. None of the machines they offered are compatible with mine. I will have to purchase the pedestal for the new machine, plus pay the overage to get the comparable machine. Service appointment people were horrible, cold and rude. Sear store at the mall where I purchased my washer said that it was not their problem. Once we sell it you are in their hands. Have had Maytag for over 30 years. Will never buy it again. Will never buy at Sears again. Too bad I have to replace my washer with something from Sears. Not enough space to write everything I have gone through, the lost workdays, the extra expense of having to go to the laundromat, the stress of dealing with incompetent people and techs.

Why are the clothes in my dryer getting stuck in Maytag Neptune? It seems there is a little opening around the rim of the barrel in the back of my dryer that drawstrings, zippers or similar small parts of the clothes can get stuck in. It twists the clothes around and is ruining clothes, also is making a thump-thump sound. Someone, please help!

We were very impressed with this dishwasher when we bought it about 2 years ago. It looked very nice, it was the quietest running dishwasher weve seen, dishes came out sparkling. However, the nightmare quickly began. It started with having to cancel then resume. It ran for 8 hours non-stop (still cycling the next morning). We unplugged it and we were able to use it normally for a few times. Weve had so much aggravation with this machine weve decided to (A) Never to buy another digital dishwasher, (B) Join the class action suit proposed against Maytag. We have tried all the reset solutions offered and Weve been hand washing dishes (again) for days.

Maytag products are a waste of money! I purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer a couple of years ago during the Cash for Clunkers rebate where we were asked to give up our reliable machines for so called energy efficient new models. After spending over $1,000 on this fancy front load machine and having it installed, I go to use it the first time and it won’t work. It took me a month to get someone to come and repair the bad board on it. I then started to use it and after a year, the thing started making a horrible loud noise. I called the repair folks and they told me it is out of warranty. I called a local repair guy who told me that the drum is shot and that it will cost $700 to repair. So I got a total of 10 months of use out of this stupid thing. Thats $100 a month to do my laundry! I would be better of dry cleaning! I have searched the web and see that this is a common issue and that Maytag refuses to make this right. Well, I can choose to never buy a Maytag again. I hope that others will heed our advice and do the same.

Second time I have purchased a Maytag washer. Both units failed within six months of extended warranty running out. Maytag repairman is sitting on his **, not because they have a quality product but because consumers are seeing that it is a subpar product. I purchased a Maytag refrigerator (MBR2258XES4) from Home Depot in 2012. I bought a five year extended warranty. It started leaking at the bottom. Repairmen said defrost drain clogged not covered! Cost: $180. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG, N.E.W. (Asurion Co.) warranties or Home Depot appliances! This is text book deceptive advertising. At no time did Home Depot associates in Kitchen and Bath departments say that this common design flaw existed and that it was not covered under the N.E.W. Asurion warranty which cost me an an additional $150.00! I am interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Home Depot and Asurion Co (N.E.W.) warranties.

Bought a French door Maytag with freezer on the bottom. Ice build up on the bottom of the freezer and it has ruined my floor. We are replacing the floor in the kitchen. It is only a few years old. They have horrible customer service and will not replace anything.

Please do not buy a Maytag washer top loader. It does not get enough water and it does not clean your clothes. It is the noisiest cheapest made machine out there. If you have kids you really need to bypass this one. I have had this for 10 months and its only me. Please especially if you have children stay away from it. Do not buy one. Maytag is unresponsive to repairs or parts that are needed. They are not even manufacturing the part that breaks. Maytag fridge is a overpriced, ticking repair bomb. The fridge had issues with the compressor, control board (motherboard) and relay switch within a 12-month period. Customer service is weak in troubleshooting techniques and try to send the file over to a repairman. The repairman will show up at $80/hr + other fees and parts costing you approx $500, and still uncertainty that this fridge can breakdown at any time. Final advice: DONT BUY.

I bought my Maytag dishwasher MDB7749SBM0 three years ago. After it was in one month it already needed a service call. It needed a control panel. Out of the dishwasher 4 weeks because this happened over Thanksgiving. Two months later it stopped working and needed another service call. Technician was inexperienced and another one had to be called. Out of the dishwasher 3 weeks. At this time, and because of the expense of the machine, I purchased an extended warranty. This was control panel number two. Not long after, the heating element had to be replaced. Two weeks without the dishwasher. Now, my dishwasher stopped working again and it needs a new control panel. The technician is rude but did offer the information that the moisture ruins the control panels. IT IS A DISHWASHER!!! IT USES WATER!!! I only run the dishwasher twice per week so I cant imagine how poorly it would hold up if it was run more often. I am on my third week without the dishwasher because the part is on back-order! No one can tell us when it will be in. I bought a Maytag because I thought they had the appliance market under control. MY MISTAKE! I am very angry.

Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW03 - We purchased this dishwasher in 2013. About 1.5 years after purchase the control panel started to get flaky and different settings wouldnt work. Not long after that it stopped working at all. I did some troubleshooting and found that the ribbon cable that connects the control panel to the control board was corroded due to water/steam getting to it. Since we were past the one year warranty I bought a new control panel and things worked fine for about a year, now the panel is going bad again. I contacted Maytag and they said they cant do anything to help me. This machine is not even 3 years old and going on its second control panel. I would recommend staying away from all Maytag products.

I bought your Maytag model MDB7749SBW1 dishwasher on May 22, 2013. We bought Maytag because of your reputation...not because of price. However, in September, 2014 (2 months out of warranty!!), the control panel stopped working. I called the 800 number and the best they could do is to extend the warranty for 6 months BUT only after we paid for repair and control board replacement. This is not cheap!!! We were furious. I looked if there were recalls on this model but there is not (should be). Anyway, after we paid for repairs and a new control panel put in ($160.00 +- for part itself), we were very cautious about touching anything on that dishwasher. YOU HAVE an issue with design and I can give you link after link of other customers who have expressed the same thing. So, here we are in 2017... About 2 months ago, we noticed the exact same symptoms with the control board.In fact the ONLY way we could start the dishwasher was to turn off the breaker, let it sit for 20 minutes - overnight and then turn back on and hit the start button. We lost all control over the settings. Only auto clean and delay 2 hours were working. Yesterday, I purchased yet another control board ($179 incl tax and shipping). I plan to install myself. If I could afford another dishwasher, I would do it and never buy Maytag again. Maytag really ought to be ashamed and if they were truly concerned they would offer these defective parts at a steep discount or better yet, recall. I plan on submitting something about this issue with any consumer group I can find. I guess the only way to spread the word and perhaps force a company to respond is to post on social media anymore. This is NOT a like.

This is just a heads up to anyone thinking about purchasing the front loading Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. We spent $1900.00 on these machines and have had nothing but trouble from them. I will never purchase a Maytag or now, Whirlpool appliance again. As to the rating above, if I could post negative 150 stars I would. I have spent as much in repairs as the new dryer cost.

My five year old refrigerator freezer was leaking due to a corner filler part left in the the freezer compartment that lodged over the drain hole in the freezer. It cost me $232.90 to have a repair technician dig it out. MAYTAG accepts no responsibility for poor inspection, workmanship or quality control and they will not reimburse my fee.

Purchased my Maytag in November of 2010, with the freezer on bottom. Within 1 year the ice maker stopped working, and every 8 to 10 days it gets a sheet of ice on the bottom, and water runs out all over the floor. Guess, Yes the warranty expired and scared to death that Im gonna have to replace my floor. If there is a class action suit out there please inform me.

Purchased Bravos 300 quiet series wash and dryer 3 1/2 yrs ago new. 18 months ago the washer gives me f51 and ul codes. To repair this USA made washer will cost over 250 dollars. I see why the Maytag repairman is not busy. Cause after 2 years you gotta buy a new one. All these digital controls are made in China - junk. Ill buy LG or Samsung next.

This washer is only two years old and does the wash for 2 people. The control board has broken down and the lid lock did too. Of course the warranty had just expired, so there is no help from the maker, Whirlpool. Save yourself a big loss and dont buy these brands. Mine is going to the dump where it belongs. Thats $500 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and get a Speed Queen.

I purchased my Bravo Maytag washer, dryer set May 31, 2015. I spent a little extra because they were suppose to be so reliable and last for MANY years. What a HUGE mistake! The washing machine is rusting. (A friend said, although Maytag’s big promotion was Made in America the inferior metal probably came from China). Buy cheap and to “hell” with the consumer! As many horrible reviews as I have read about the Bravo Series of washers and dryers I am shock there has not been a recall or better yet, a class action lawsuit! Rusting washing machine and have had to replace a part on my dryer...of course all cost came out of my pocket. I will NEVER buy anything Maytag as long as I live. I have told and will continue to tell my friends and family my nightmare Maytag story!!!

The first washer my husband and I ever purchased was a somewhat cheap top loader but it worked very well for over 10 years. We decided to fall for a bargain sale at Home Depot and went with the HE Bravos model. We were told that it would save us money and work great! From day one weve had issues. It never really seemed to clean right. It gets thrown off balance if you have more than one bath towel in a load at a time. After an angry call to the company and a somewhat helpful customer service rep, I began washing every load at the deep clean heavily soiled cycle and then did an extra rinse to boot. So much for energy efficient. So, fast forward 4 years, I HATE this washer but cant justify a new one at this time. Now, it stops mid cycle and I have to unplug it then plug it back in and restart it. When this happens, there is an awful smell. Needless to say, well be buying a new washer within a week or 2 and you can bet your life, it will NOT be a Maytag.

Bought a new home in July of 2016 and the builder had included a Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. They are THE WORST performing appliances I have ever used! I will replace as soon as I have the means to do so. DO NOT PURCHASE the Maytag Bravos XL appliances. The engineers that designed them should be fired! The washing machine makes an incredibly loud noise (like an old starter grinding in a 50s car). Im told that this is normal for the machine. Does NOT clean well and leaves soap spots on dark clothes... leaves them on light clothes but I cannot see them. Whites come out dingy even with bleach. The tub is so deep that I have to use tongs to get out smaller items, I am 53 tall and have never had this issue before. Soap dispenser drawer wont stay closed during wash cycle. Clothes are so badly tangled during the wash cycle that it is hard to describe the wrinkled mess that has to go into the dryer.Dryer issues: Very loud. Very wobbly and unstable, and yes, it has been leveled 3 times. Bed linens have to be separated at least 3 times during the drying cycles because they twist and wad up into big, wet knots of cloth. Infuriating!!! Dry time is very long unless you wish to cook your clothes. So disappointed in this product. Total rubbish!!

I purchased the Bravos Washer and Dryer from an elderly couple who didnt have it more than 6 months. About a year went by and the washer started making a noise when the water extracted and finally flooded my laundry room. I found that a penny had gotten into the plastic housing that extracts the water. This has happened on 2 different occasions. I have replaced the extraction unit 2 times and it now cracked again. Then I started getting F1 error codes and having to restart as much as 6 times so it would start the cycle. This washer has been a royal pain. It is frustrating when you think you are getting a quality product and have nothing but problems. I previously had a Kenmore washer and dryer that lasted me 15 years and was still functioning when we sold the set after buying the Maytag Monster. We only ever replaced the heating element in the dryer once. That was it. I will not consider a Maytag again and possibly not another HE at all. Glad I did not buy them new!

Do NOT buy a Magtag washer. I purchased a brand new washer from Lowes in 2017. The washer gets stuck in the wash cycle. When I called Lowes, they said to call Maytag, who sent a service person out. The service person recalibrated the machine never ran a cycle and left. We had to call two more times after this for the same reason with the same result where the serviceman left without running a cycle. This was all while the product was under warranty. Since I had three service calls, I called Maytag frustrated that this kept happening to a new product. I was told there was nothing they could do, but if it happens again to have the service guy come back out. When the warranty runs out, I will have to pay for the service tech. Unbelievable. Save your time, money and frustration and buy a Whirlpool! I dont know how Maytag gets away with selling defective products.

Within 2 months of 1 year warranty running out, the control panel went wacky - does all kinds of weird things except work right. Called to see if there is any suggestions or work arounds and was told they would be glad to set up a service call for between $70 and $100, where they could tell me how much it would cost to fix. As with the other 100s of folks with the same problem, they basically said gee, you should have bought an extended warranty. If you have this many people with the same problem then it is Maytags problem, not the poor sucker consumer who got stuck with it. If you are considering this dishwasher, run, dont walk, as far from a Maytag or Westinghouse product as you can get. If anyone starts a class action suit against this product, please count us in!

Our washer/dryer combination (2005 Maytag Neptune MLE2000AZW) has given us nothing but problems. The main problem is the stink from the washer. The unit is no longer usable and we are searching for a top loading unit to fit in the space. I am so angry - how did this piece of junk ever pass Maytags quality control?

I love this washer. You can fill all the way or energy setting but either way it does the job. I paid 1200 for a Whirlpool. it was broken within 6 moand couldnt get service repair. With the Maytag it was on sale for 550 cash. It stop spinning. I called for service. They were there in 2 days on time and 20 minutes it was working. It was a needle stopped it. Just reprogrammed and wa-lah!

Im really happy with my range. The only drawback is that the upper oven/broiler is a little on the small side. The five burners on top are convenient for when I am cooking a large family meal on weekends and holidays.

I purchased a 2011 Bravos top loader washer machine. Doing a minimal amount of laundry for 2 persons, the Bravos is in disrepair needing bearings and an inner and outer tub. I was told to purchase a prepaid service call for $350 that will cover repairs plus a mere 1 year additional warranty. The washer sounds like a jet plane, gives off fouls odors, has black tar like residue after each wash and clothes never smell clean. Maytag has no complaint process, except an online chat that tells you to buy the prepay. Maytag has dumped a lemon on consumers and arrogantly expects us to pay for their garbage. They are disrespectful, dishonest and greedy and dont deserve anyones hard earned money for their ill made products.

Our washer stinks. We have done all the things suggested by Maytag, and it still stinks. Maytag suggested having it serviced by A&E, but I see on the Internet that they are probably not the best choice (very bad reviews). We called our local Maytag dealer, and they said that there is no fix available. They just stink. We will buy a new washer and will never buy anything Maytag again. I would suggest the same to everyone else.

I wrecked on a bike, had surgery and in a wheelchair. I bought and had a Maytag dishwasher delivered from Beaumont Home Depot and this mdb7749sbw2 model never never worked. Home Depot told me I had to bring it back myself (Im in a wheelchair at the months that was impossible) and I called Maytag warranty. They sent a tech. He replaced a front power panel that didnt work. They sent out two more techs and they said use other soap Lemi Shine and the other guy said use Finish and turn your hot water heater all the way up. That never worked either. I have had this a yr and it just sit there and money in the trash. It makes me sick.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Maytag basically treats you like youre stupid, resend instructions like that will fix their broken P.O.S machine. I will never buy another Maytag and will be sure to let everyone know what a piece of garbage, from machine to company! Sad that the overall reviews on my machine are 1.3/5 stars on Maytags own website. Oddly, I cannot write any review on their site, Maytag must have realized what a POS theyve been selling and now block reviews. Im thinking that we should get enough owners together and file a class action lawsuit, maybe that would change their tune??? Never BUY MAYTAG, PLEASE keep in mind THEY are UNDER AN UMBRELLA with WHIRLPOOL and MANY OTHER MAJOR PLAYERS... Do not let them scam you the way they did me! If you work hard for your money spend it on a more reputable brand that will not try to stick it to you because they build junk!

After only about a year or so - and it is out of warranty - the clothes are not clean - there are white type of scum marks left on clothes and especially dark clothes. This is even after I use the recommended detergent and less than normal and do a double rinse. Have to wash clothes again with no detergent with a double rinse again. Just so annoying. Would never buy Maytag again.

If you are looking for the Maytag repairman he will be at my house Tues fixing my barely 1 yrs old dishwasher. This is ridiculous to pay this amount of money for the reputation that Maytag is known for or I will say was known for. $270.00 for a control panel. My last Maytag lasted over 30 yrs. Not made in the US - not built to last and this was told to me by the people that installed it so take it for what its worth. Look elsewhere. My last Maytag product.

All my kitchen appliances are from Maytag, however I would highly recommend buying the extended warranty for any appliance you buy. Maytag is not helpful to customers when it comes to repairs. They will recommend you their authorized companies which here in Colorado Springs are the one with the worse review and already knowing the the repair will cost more than the cost of a new one. You will have to be available 5 hours of your day and spend $110 for a guy to come to your house and tell you that the repair will cost more than a new one. Oh and if your microwave is a 2.0 CU like mine you will have to pay $300 plus in double labor because your microwave will require two people to take it down from the kitchen cabinet.

Our Maytag refrigerator that is two years old has been nothing but issues just after the warranty expired. Ice maker is broken and it started having the temp alarm go off every few weeks and now every few days. It was a 1800 dollar purchase and no one has been helpful where we bought it nor has Maytag. We will never purchase another Maytag product...

We bought this from our local big box retailer paying $433.87 after installation, the oven, haul away and home delivery. Two years and 3 months later its a boat anchor. Display is cold and dark after stating we needed to open and close the door before it would heat. We did but it kept displaying the same message. Unplugged it, turned circuit off per Maytag customer service line, still nothing. It is no longer made and you cant get parts. It is useless. The 10 year warranty just covers the magnet and the cavity.

I bought a Maytag Top Loader. I soon discovered that it is not possible to do a cold water wash. After much communication with Maytag Customer Service it was determined that there is no way to bypass it. And it uses a lot of hot water, even on a cold wash. Their explanation was that the water needed to be a certain temperature to make the detergent work effectively. The same detergent that I’ve been using for 40 years with cold water in my Speed Queen. When I need to do a cold water wash, I go to my parents home and use their washer. Disappointing purchase, my last Maytag, for sure.

I am very satisfied with my Maytag washer and dryer. Had it for 10+ years. No complaints. It’s easy to set the machine according to my preference for each load of clothes. The dryer is great. Settings on the machines are very easy to use. This is important since I have a vision problem.

MDB4949SDM1 - After owning Maytag model MDB/C-2 for thirteen (13) plus years, I decided to purchase the subject Maytag Model when my 13 year old died. Big mistake. Previous model was very simplistic in rack design and it provided user-friendly options such as two detachable baskets for silverware and a special rack for delicate items.The new model has been designed so your dishes go in on angles on the top rack and as such bowls, small plates etc never stay in place once you move the rack and the lower rack configuration was redesigned and the rear area which was open to allow for bigger pots and pans to fit better has been removed, so now you have to lay your pans on top of the tines, very difficult to low the dishwasher.Additionally, I purchased the stainless steel model; apparently in the coating process a drip pattern was sealed that you can see when sunlight hits dishwasher. Further the stainless steel face that they bond to the door has popped, so when you grab the handle the face pops in and out. Lastly the new design has an adjustable upper rack; I tried numerous times to adjust the rack and couldnt so when I called Customer Service for these issues, it basically boils down to if the Service Man comes out and determines my issues are cosmetic and the rack which Ive never been able to adjust should happen to work then I have to pay the service call as there is not warranty coverage. So I declined the Service Call and advised that this would be my last Maytag purchase. I highly recommend anyone considering this unit fully investigate and test out before buying.

My fiance bought this dishwasher 5 years ago but has never been able to use it due to the fact he is disabled and unable to open the door. When I moved in 4 months ago, I began using it regularly 2-3 times a week. Yesterday, I loaded it and when I hit the start button, it did nothing. The lights come on but the start button doesnt seem to be working. I have torn it apart twice and after looking all over the internet have determined that the control panel is bad. We live on a very fixed income and fixing something like this will take a large part of our budget. I am shocked that something so expensive can only last a few months then stop with no warning. We will be calling and adding our names to the list for the class action lawsuit here in California.

My refrigerator stopped working less than two weeks after purchase. The ice maker failed to produce ice. I feel they sold me a lemon. Yes, I do!

I purchased my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer 5 years ago. About 2 months ago, my washer started making a lot of noise in the final spin cycle. Well, after I called my repair man (who I purchased the set from), they said that a back bearing is faulty. They suggested calling Maytag because the cost of the repair is $500. I called Maytag and was told that due to the age of my washer, there was nothing they could or would do for me. This is very poor customer service and very poor quality as far as I am concerned. I can hardly afford to get it fixed, but I also cannot be without a washer. Im sorry I have several other appliances that are Maytag in my home.
