Maytag Bravos XL: I purchased mine Nov. 9 2017. I so wish I had never bought this machine! It leaves soap residue and dog hair on my clothes and bedding. I have to wash everything 2-4 times. It’s beyond disappointing. My husband and I agree our clothes looked better dirty, BEFORE we “washed” them in this machine.

This is Maytag model: MVWB765FWO-Top loader. HE rated. It handles mixed loads without balance issues but I cannot yet address reliability. The new machine averages 7+ loads weekly and is in the 8th week of use. The overall performance is clearly superior to the Kenmore Elite it replaced.

Maytag Model #MGR7662 range - We inherited this oven when we bought my mother-in-laws house 2 years ago. We had to get a thermometer to keep in the oven since the temperature is never consistent and is usually 50-100 degrees lower than the digital readout. We will be replacing this oven as soon as we can and it will NOT be a Maytag.

I wanted a small stove that did what a large/standard stove could do. I was worried that the heat would be weak but it cooks my food amazingly well. This stove has all the bling of a simple stove for a smaller price and size for my tiny house.

We purchased a home one year ago. It has all Maytag appliances that were anywhere from one year old to two years old. The Neptune LE washer is not working as of today. This washer is supposed to be the top of the line, and because it is almost three years old, it is no longer under warranty. This washer will fill with water but does not spin or rinse the clothes. We paid a lot for this home and were so happy to get appliances that were all practically new. Now, we refused to have a repairman come and charge us lots of money to fix a washer that should not be broken. I have had washers run for 15 years and that was when I was washing clothes for 6 people, including cloth diapers for triplets! I will not buy any Maytag appliances. I will be getting an Amana or a Sears brand. Please, no one go buy a Maytag appliance.

Like other reviewers, I am having issues regarding the control board panel for MAYTAG Dishwasher Model Number MDB7749SAM0. The unit was less than 3 yrs old when the control board panel malfunction issue began. I feel like this is a manufacturing defect and the company should be responsible for repairing/replacing the control board panel. I contacted Maytag numerous times regarding this, but customer service continues to tell customers there is NO warranty after one year from purchase date, and they are saying there is no recall or other reported issues regarding the Maytag’s control board at this time. However, I have found numerous online complaints and reviews about the very same issue I am having and same poor customer service. Since MAYTAG does not seem to care about their customer’s concerns regarding their product breaking in I feel that the only solution is DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG dishwasher brand again. I have had other brands last much much longer than this one did.

I have a Model MBF 1958XES4 which I bought from Home Depot in June of 2012. It has leaked repeatedly onto my wood floor. The water also collects and freezes on the floor of the freezer. I already have warped floor boards as a result. I just got it fixed. The repair person said he has done over 200 of these repairs in the last year. He also said Maytag knows its a defect and has supplied them with replacement parts. The company apparently tells its repair companies not to discuss this with their customers. I have yet to contact Maytag, although apparently from others experiences that will be futile. Im willing to join others in pursuing this. I had a 40 year old Kelvinator which was still working well which I replaced with this refrigerator when I redid my kitchen.

I am very dissatisfied with this Maytag Gemini oven Ive had it for 4yrs. It has been in the shop twice for the same problem. Temperature control. It is down again for the same thing temperature control. The repairman, who I had to look at it, says the bill will be over $500.00. I paid $1300.00 for this stove. I cant afford to put any more money in this stove. I had to pay $100.00 for repairman to tell me this. The model # met8665xw02 serial#D30522404. Is there a recall on this stove? There should be. I sold Maytag products for several years at Circuit City. I always pushed Maytag instead of another brand. I believed in Maytag. The repairman hasnt been lonely to me.

Centennial HE top loading washer - When I put the HE Tide powder in the washer, it does not always rinse well. I have to rewash often. I use very little soap.

On 9/8/09, I purchased a Maytag ceramic glass top range, model MER7662WBO. The right front dual burner has what look like worms in the burner. The other burners are clear. Maytag has replaced the top three times and the burner once. The top has gone bad again and they are calling this a cosmetic now and will not replace the top. I think there is a problem with the tops. I have purchased my last Maytag product. I buy for looks also.

I need a new circuit board for a $2500 refrigerator. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend when the ice chute started opening and closing and lights on door panel flashed like crazy. I called Maytag, who set up a service appointment for me for Monday. The tech came at 6pm and said there was nothing he could do without a part from Maytag and left. I proceeded to throw out all spoiled food and load a cooler with ice. I called Maytag, and they said it will take about a week to receive the part and have service. I have children in the house, and we live in Miami. I said that I would pay for overnight delivery of the part, and they told me it couldnt be done. I called this morning for a tracking number of the part, and they told me that it wasnt sent out as of yet. According to the internet search, this is a problem with a considerable amount of model number MF12568AES, and I should have been notified by the company. They claim it is a special project, not a recall.

I purchased Maytag microwave model MMV4205AAQ in 2005. I use it infrequently. It stopped heating in Nov. 2011. It must be replaced. But after this experience and reading other comments, I will not purchase any Maytag appliances in the future.

So our 4 year old Maytag Dishwasher just took a crap. Thank God we were at the kitchen table when it started to smoke, which smelt like burning wires and unplugged it immediately. Repairman came out and said it would be a 3 to 4 hundred dollar repair. What happened to the great 10 year Warranty? Oh yeah, its a limited warranty which does not include wiring. Could have burnt down my 4 year old home, but thats ok, not covered. The good news, the upper arm I replaced due to wear and tear would have been a free repair, because it would have been covered! No more Maytags in this home, ever!!

I purchased my Bravo (MVWB300WQ2) washer a little over two years ago. It took all day to wash some loads due to leveling problems. Example, you could not put more than two bath towels in at a time, even with the towel setting. The washer would stop and you have to re-position the towels. You cannot leave because it stopped so often. Also, the washer makes an extremely loud noise during the spin cycle. My most recent problem, it does not complete the spin cycle. My clothes are still very wet. I refuse to call service. Its just too costly. It would be the third time in less than 3 years. However, the first time was within the year warranty (no charge). The basket had to be replaced - it was ripping my clothes. During my second service call, the technician advised me in purchasing an extended warranty. I paid for the service call and for a one-year extended warranty which just recently ended. The washing machine is not worth paying for service again. I am going to purchase a new machine instead!

Im extremely disappointed in this machine. I bought this machine after having my Kitchen Aid for 12 yrs. Just last month, the UL message came on. Had someone looked at it and noticed the bearing was loose. He fixed it, just today, it started doing the same thing again!!!!! Now it might be a suspension problem. Of course my warranty expired because I bought it in November 2012. Im never ever going to buy a Maytag washer again!!! Can someone help me to take my complaint to higher up?Thank you..

This new refrigerator, which was delivered to my house on 9/20/17, is so loud that I cannot have a conversation in my kitchen. It is supposed to be energy efficient. I do not know how that is possible as it runs 50 out of every 60 minutes. I contacted their customer service about this appliance. They repeatedly put me on hold or disconnected me. If I could give lower than one star, I would. Learn from my mistake - dont purchase from this company.

I have only had this machine a few months and am completely dissatisfied. It sounds like a jet taking off and uses so little water. The clothing does not come clean and wrinkles are close to impossible to iron out.

I bought a new Maytag washer 1 year ago. It does not do a good job of washing the clothes. I have tried to contact customer service but what a waste of time that has been. I would never buy another MAYTAG washer again. This is after owning an older style Maytag for 25 years that I never had one problem with until it wore out. They are now junk. I bought at Leons. My wife and I bought the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer Set from Lowes in August of 2015. It came with a stated 10 year warranty, but started having problems early in the 4th year. The washing machine direct drive motor has become very noisy which is a preliminary sign of direct drive motor failure. The dryer now heading into its 5th year has a a burnt smell, and we do not use it due to it being a fire hazard. Our previous washer and dryer set had lasted from 1998 until 2014 when we purchased this set. We paid over $1100.00 for this set. There is no way that we WILL EVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND a Maytag washing machine or dryer. They used to be excellent to good appliances the lasted a long time; however, that is not the case at the present. This is absolute the worst washer and dryer set I have ever owned. The quality of build and longevity is suspect. It is obvious that it is engineered to be a constant replacement item instead of one of quality and longevity. We will more and likely purchase a GE washer and dryer set. The Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine balled up my dress shirts and left wrinkles that the dryer was incapable of removing. I am aware of the issues with Samsung and LG washing machine and dryers when a problem arises. Whirlpool and Maytag are the same company. Maytag used to be synonymous with quality. That is not the case. Buyer beware. Do your research and do no rely solely on the salesperson at the store that you are seeking inquiry before purchasing. We went The Home Depot and received honest customer reviews about serious issues with the Maytag Bravos XL Washing machine and dryer sets. This set was highly recommended when we purchased them new at Lowes in 2015. I am also considering the Speed Queen Commercial Washer and Dryer sets that are available for consumers. This set makes the laundromat owners happy. Never again will we purchase a Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine and Dryer set!! We learned a very expensive lesson!!

WARNING: Do not buy a Maytag washer, unless you get a very extended warranty. My wife and I had A GE, but it wore out after only a few years. So, we decided to go with a Maytag, since they always claimed that the Maytag repairman had nothing to do, which leads you to believe that they never need service. WELL, 3 years and 10 months and our Maytag blew its transmission. Oil is leaking from the seal, and its on borrowed time. So, off we go to get another washer. Just keep in mind that Maytag, and Whirlpool are one and the same company, so buyer beware. Oh, yeah, forgot to mention, there is a sticker on the washer stating that there is a 10 year warranty. That is only on the drum, which never goes bad, and the electric motor. NO OTHER PARTS are under warranty unless you participate in the extended warranty. My wife and I are going to go out and look at some used washers. There are places that refurbish them, and they have a better warranty, believe me. I am hoping that we can find one WITHOUT A FREAKING COMPUTER BOARD in it. Cost to fix my washer, according to the accredited Maytag repairman is $560.04. I think I can get a basic washer that wont stop working after a few years for less than that. Just in case you are wondering, its only my wife and I, we only do laundry a couple of times a week. I purchased this dishwasher from Sears in July of 2013. Barely 3 years ago. The last few months the controls have been acting odd. The control lock would automatically just turn on at odd times. Yesterday when I hit normal cycle it went to a different cycle and had many other options lit. It would not start. Finally it went dark, no lights, no nothing. I see many people have had these types of issues with this type of Maytag dishwasher. Disappointing. A dishwasher should last longer than 3 years. Sears said they would send a repairman out but it would have been minimum $200 after it was all said and done. Id rather own a non-Maytag dishwasher so we went and bought a different brand.

Our bottom freezer began building up ice. We cleared the ice and unclogged the drain gasket as per the many instructions that we found online. Researching this problem, I discovered very quickly that this is due to a faulty design of the drain grommet. A new part has been substituted by Maytag. I called Maytag customer service and they refused to supply the replacement at no cost to me and claimed there is no quality issue. This is not about the $20 for the part. It is a leading consumer brand disregarding customer satisfaction. This is also bad business. They will sacrifice their reputation for a $20 part on a $1,000+ purchase. They need to be put on notice that they cannot get away with this in the age of the web where there is total transparency.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

MDB7749SBW - Purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot & had them install it. It worked for 6 1/2 months & the control panel blinked & went dead. I did some research & found there were a lot of problems with the control panels & even a class action lawsuit. I went to Home Depot & they said contact Maytag & brushed me off. I set up a repair per warranty & all was fine for 10 months & same problem has happened again. I told them at Home Depot to replace the unit since nearly every repair job on the control panels prematurely fail again every time. I am going back to the Home Depot again. I do have older Maytag appliances that perform as required & I do know Lowes would have replaced the defective dishwasher.

I have Control Panel issues with my Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher. I have saved myself hundreds of dollars! The problem occurs when oxidation or steam shorts out the ribbon on the control board. Simply shut off the power to your dishwasher. Open the 5 or 12 screws on the door. Open the black box where the Control Panel ribbon enters the Control Board, slide the white tension clasp away from ribbon and clean off ribbon using a paper towel. Re-insert ribbon and slide tensioner in place. Replace all parts and turn on power. Job done! I hope you have as much success as I did.

We bought our refrigerator 14 months ago and it has a 10 yr limited parts warranty. Both the freezer and refrigerator quit working, right after we spent $600 in groceries. I called the warranty dept and the soonest they could get here to service it, was 9 days later cause they only go thru Diamond Preferred, to do the repairs. Then on the 9th day, Diamond Preferred calls to let us know that unfortunately, they cant get here to fix it until another 5 DAYS!! Two weeks with NO refrigerator and freezer, is ridiculous. They should pay another repair place to come out instead of just relying on the ONE!! Our food is now ruined, $600 worth. And to top it off, weve had to eat out costing us more money, and then once its finally fixed, we have to go buy more groceries. I will NEVER buy a Maytag appliance, ever again!

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - My machine is 3 yrs old and started making a very loud noise on the spin cycle. My last Maytag lasted 18 yrs and all my appliances have always been Maytag. I believe it now when Im told that Maytag does not make good quality washers anymore.

Maytag Neptune Stacked Electric Washer & Dryer. Had to buy a motor for Washer but lasted 12 years before giving problems again; then couldnt find anyone that would service for cheaper than $100 for just coming to your house plus $75 an hour for labor. Thats HIGHER than my billable rate! Rip-off Service & parts charges. Found out it was easier & cheaper to troubleshoot ONLINE myself using FIXYA site and others. Expense for an appliance above what most run ~ 1500 for both units. Plus if it doesnt have or offer a 5-year warranty then something is wrong with the quality! Maytag Neptune Series MLE2000AYW 27 Inch Electric Laundry Center with 3.34 Cu. Ft. Washer Capacity, 4 Wash Cycles and 6.0 Cu. Ft. Dryer Capacity, 3 Dry Cycles: White. Worst part on this model was a WAX MOTOR that they used for the Washer to control the door being closed or open. Next worst DESIGN error was they didnt put a drain hole in the plastic rim seal for the Washer door, that area would build up mold & mildew if you didnt learn to keep Washer door open at all times AFTER a wash. We learned by removing the light bulb! Therefore it was easy for my crew to learn to leave the door open after washing. This model was Energy star certified and had a long life here 12 years. Unfortunately I think they build these things to only last 10 years; then you have to replace them. In years gone by... the 1970s Washing machines and dryers would last 20 years!!

After having had Maytag Highlander washer and dryer for 28 years in our early married life, and continuing to think that Maytag was a quality product, we purchased the Neptune front load washer MAH6700AWW. Let me tell you this IS NOT your mothers washer, nor is this Maytag a quality product. First it was necessary to install water pipe shock arrestors because of the water valve on washer causing shock in the waterline when it closed. The automatic Softener/detergent dispenser didnt work from day one.Coins and etc. constantly kept getting under flippers and couldnt be easily removed. I found that it was impossible to remove the plastic flipper without breaking a plastic mounting tab. On my first call to customer the Maytag Customer Loyalty Team, aka Customer Service (CS), I was told that the plastic flippers were not available as a separate part, and that the entire tub assembly with plastic flippers would need to be replaced. WHAT???????? THATS LUDICROUS. After temporarily securing the broken flipper to the tub, I thought Id call again about a week later to see if the previous answer was correct. On this call, the customer service lady (whose name I have), said the flippers are available and that she would send two at no charge. A few days later two flippers arrived, but were not the correct ones. I then decided to drill two holes in the tub and remounted the broken flipper with two stainless screws as a permanent solution.Two pumps needed to be replaced. One was replaced under warranty and one by myself. The one replaced by me was damaged by a coin that made its way from the tub to the pump. Other washer manufacturers provide a means of trapping such objects before they get to the pump. The wash cycle stopped unexpectedly numerous times without reason, after which the code 5d was displayed. I called Maytag Customer service. The representative didnt know what 5d code meant. Her suggestion was to call a service man. Again, I called later to ask and was told 5d meant excessive suds which wasnt the cause. Might this have been a control problem?There were three incidents of water discharging onto the floor from under the washer over the last two months, which caused water to cover an area of approximately 5 by 12 resulting in extensive cleanup in addition to damage to stored items. Since these occurrences were weeks apart and unpredictable, I knew the problem would be difficult, if not impossible, to diagnose, even by a serviceman. I concluded that it was probably a problem with the control; either filling too long or not emptying the tub before refilling for the next cycle. Thats when I decided to send this troublesome Maytag piece of junk to the landfill.

We were excited to finally buy a new wash set and I always wanted the Neptune ones. I had owned a Maytag for 25 years through two children and a mechanic husband. I had every confidence in the new ones and expected at least the same service. Shortly after the warranty went, the machines both started to act up. The washer would stop in the middle of the cycles. The dryer wouldnt come on or wouldnt respond to the commands. We finally contacted the local repairman whom we have used for years. He came and gave us boo-hoos about these machines. He said they were trouble and we should have never have bought them. My husband figured it was the electronics in the control panel. The repairman said the parts would cost somewhere near $500.00 to $600.00 each and proceeded to try to sell us used ones for $2,000.00. We said we would try to get the bad parts and he even gave us the stock numbers? We went online and found new ones for half the price. We bought them and put them in and they persisted in doing the same things as before. Is this a runaround or what? Who is bilking who? Another great American rip-off. What can the public do?

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

Maytag Bravos XL MCT (Disposable). Model number MVWB835DW3 Top load washer. I’ve read many of the reviews on the site and feel your frustrations. Let me start by saying, at least you have a choice of products. I’m stationed in Okinawa Japan and have ONE place to buy my appliances and a choice of two machines. Both of them are garbage Maytag products. The first one (model noted above) died after 18 months. NOTHING they could do! The “technician” they sent didn’t have a clue. His answer was to replace the control board. Time to receive part? Up to 30 days. Really! My option? Buy the exact same product. I can’t even describe how screwed over I feel.

I purchased the Maytag 6.5 inch electric convection oven about 2 years ago. I wish I hadnt. The oven temp is way off, it cooks unevenly, the back burners hardly work, and the back burners on the stove top barely work, the knobs get stuck constantly, the self cleaning does not work, and the glass part of the door allows dust to get trapped in the glass. The range is $800+ piece of junk, best used at the scrap yard. Today, I turn my oven on, and the element underneath the oven pan caught on fire. Now its broken in half, and needs to be replaced. I look up the QR code, and come to find out the oven is actually a Whirlpool, with Maytag labels on the outside. I would have never purchased this range if I knew it was a Whirlpool. I have always had issues with Whirlpool appliances. This is a fraudulent product, and deceives the customer. Why sell it as a Maytag, when its really a Whirlpool? It should at least state that fact on the description, and salespeople should advise the customer. Now I know why its a piece of junk, because its a WHIRLPOOL!!! I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I have always stuck with Maytag appliances. Every appliance in my house is a Maytag, or are they Whirlpool?

Less than four years ago we purchased a new set of Maytag appliances, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and upright freezer. To date, the only appliance we have not had a problem with is the microwave. The bottom element is not working on our stove model # MER8775AS. We will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool products again. Save yourself time and money!

WOW! I cant believe I bought a Maytag MDB7749AWM1 Dishwasher without reading any reviews. Paid $650 for it a couple of years ago and the control panel is bad. $390 to repair it, unbelievable! Sounds like Maytag has a major customer service problem because I will NEVER BUY A MAYTAG DISHWASHER again! Spent $5000 grand on new Maytag appliances thinking they were the best to replace the outdated ones. Not the same, not sure what youre doing Maytag but youre losing a lot of loyal customers. What a shame! My old dishwasher lasted over 18 years and I didnt have any problems. 2 years? Come on!!! Same problem as the other 5000 people, someone needs a career change!

Side by side refrigerator model #msd255oveu01. I bought this refrigerator Apr. 2011... The 1st year, the ice kept sticking in machine or freezing up. Now they have had to replace the modules 3 times. Once fall of 2012 and and again yesterday, 3/19/14 and they had to come back today to replace that one. I have called Maytag and they wont stand behind it since the warranty is over. I have told them that this is an ongoing thing with the ice maker and I have had to have it serviced ever since I have bought it. I told them from the git go that the ice maker needed replace. The ice dispenser also drops an ice cube on the floor on occasion and if I use crushed ice it jams up. This product is defective and is not a good product.

My husband and I bought this refrigerator on 11/24/17 at Lowes for $2969.00 (excluding tax and white glove delivery). Never thought that not even after less than 2 years we would be having so many issues with this unit. The fridge part stopped cooling a couple of months ago and we were told by a technician that it was due to some coolant issue which of course our home warranty (Choice Home Warranty) wouldnt cover the repair. Well my husband fought them and we were able to have a second technician come and told us it was a sensor issue which he replaced. In the meantime I called Maytag to complain and they wouldnt even send someone to take a look. Anyway, the fridge worked after they replaced the sensor but unfortunately last week we started having the same issue. You would think for such a price you would get a decent unit, but big mistake there...now we have to find a way to replace it and we have little kids in the house. I also find out that Lowes doesnt even carry that brand anymore, perhaps because its defective. Maytag doesnt want to help us and Lowes cant do anything about it. So please STAY AWAY!!!! Should we be compensated, yes I believe so and so does anyone going through the same issue. Money doesnt grow on trees, stop deceiving your consumers Maytag!

The Deli drawer randomly falls, shelves in general do not fit well. Rough edges on door corners are a hazard especially for children. Service call line was extremely poor with a total disregard to customer concerns. It has been a very bad decision!

I purchased a Maytag Centennial washer and dryer on February 4th. It was delivered on the 11th. I am dissatisfied with the performance of the washer. I use the same amount of detergent and fabric softener as I did for my 15-year old Maytag washer, but the wash is not as soft as with the old machine. Also, the wash when finished appears to be a lot wetter. What is wrong? What else can I do?

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher with a control panel in September of 2013. In August of 2014, the control panel died and did not allow me to run the washer. In March of 2015, the piece which was replaced died. When contacting Maytag, even when they did the repair the first time, said they were unable to cover the cost because it was now out of warranty. Ive seen several class action lawsuits around the product with Maytag. Do not buy a Maytag. It used to be a quality brand, but is now terrible.

My husband and I purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door/freezer bottom ice making fridge from Hhgregg in Brown Deer, WI and 8 months later (now), Ive been told that my food that is spoiled, cant be replaced and my service for the fridge wont be done until next week! I have 5 kids and a husband. This has turned our world upside down. I called them and spoke to a Nicole and she said they cant do anything for us, but we can try to contact the diamond repair service at 269-927-2519 to see if they can get us in sooner. I asked for a refund for the fridge and she said no, the 10 warranty only counts for repairs... I am so angry that I didnt research Maytag before now. I gave the Whirlpool fridge to the delivery guys of Hhgregg and I had that for 18 years and it never went out on me. If anyone is reading this and is upset as well, let us get together and start a class action suit!

We bought a Maytag Bravo model top washer recently and have no good things to say about it. The startup time is too long and clothes are coming out with lint all over them now. If the unit could be returned we would do it immediately but we cannot.

A little over two years and my Maytag dishwasher needs 300 to $450 in repair for circuit board or boards. The repairman said that they got cheap and left out a seal which allows moisture to get into the electronics, duh. They have a known problem but will not stand behind their screw-ups. Never again will I purchase Maytag, Whirlpool or any other product made by the bumbs.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer with Commercial Technology, front loader in April 2012. Since then, the repair guy has been at my house three times in six months. This last repair is going to be just $800 in parts, not including any labor yet. So, I called Customer Service, and told them I was not satisfied with the repair job again, because I obviously have a lemon of a machine. Needless to say, I lost, and was told the warranty is only for repair, and not replacement. Well what happened to customer service? Its more like customer bend over, shut up and take it. So, I will get my repair at a cost of at least 1,200 bucks paid for by Maytag. Im not a business person, but if I were the company, I would think replacement of the unit would be a lot cheaper in the long run for this company and a happy customer for the future of me buying brands. Needless to say, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again, and you can thank your useless Customer Service department in Canada for that. P.S. I work for a company with over 10,000 employees. I might accidentally send out a little free publicity how this company treats loyal customers. I bought the Maytag Bravos Series 300 Dryer in 2009. In September 2011, the dryer wont start. I called Maytag. They basically said were on our own. It only lasted two years. What happened to appliances that lasted 10 years? I will never buy a Maytag dryer again.

I purchased this set 7 years ago and the washer started stopping mid-cycle and the dryer sensor doesnt work. I called the Maytag service number and after several phone calls (they had my name spelled incorrectly and the wrong address), was able to schedule an authorized servicer. He said the motor and motor controller needed to be replaced and it would cost over $900. When I said I expected my $1,200 washer to last more than 7 years, the service person informed me that the machines were made by Samsung (not Maytag) and just carried the Maytag label. He said the Maytag Neptune washers and dryers were the reason Maytag went into bankruptcy and was bought out by Whirlpool. I am disappointed Whirlpool/Maytag does not stand behind this product and will not buy this brand again.

I owned my double oven Maytag Gemini for 14 months and I was absolutely satisfied with it. I was running a cleaning mode on the bottom oven and the lock froze. I have tried everything with it to unfreeze it, including the suggestions offered on the internet. I havent been able to do it on my own and I cannot afford to hire a repairman. I called the help line offered by Maytag (after waiting for 32 minutes), the representative actually laughed at me when he found out it was past the 12-month warranty. Though this laugh may be unusual, I feel it is very indicative of the way Maytag handles any problems; Maytag doesnt stand behind their items, they are now built shoddily and they could really care less about retaining their customer base.

I purchased a front load washer over 2 year ago and the bearing on it has gone bad. Maytag jumped at offering to ship the parts to me at no cost (which at the time I thought was great). I waited 3 months to finally get the part, because it was on back order, and now was just hit with the labor bill! If I would have known a brand new washer was going to go bad after 2 years and cost me over $500 to repair, I would have gone with another brand, In fact, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool. I will ensure that I tell everyone and post comments all over the website about how ** of a product Maytag/Whirlpool produces. Companies like these give the U.S. a bad name! Maytag, you suck!

I got no help whatsoever. I will never buy in Maytag again. My washer has had 3 problems in 1 year. They tell you that they will send someone out the next day but they dont come until 4-5 days later.

I love it. Laundry as well as horse blankets. It does it all! I have never ever had one problem with it. Love the delay start setting as well as the extra rinse cycle.Easy to clean the gasket and keep the soap dispenser out to air between washes!

Christmas sale, needed a washer. Had a great experience with Whirlpool Duet so went for the on Sale Maytag Bravo MCT. No agitator which I thought odd. Bought the warranty. Did no good as soon as I hauled the washer home (3-hr trip one way). It wasnt washing my clothes clean. Hubby said try different cycles and soap and temperatures but at 8 months pregnant it wasnt long when I didnt fight with the machine but focused on a very busy life. Baby number 7 and I didnt care how the clothes washed as long as they didnt stink. Well baby is older, the warranty is not over and after much dialoging, no one will do anything for me. I put muddy pants in, they come out muddy. I put cloth diapers in, they come out smelling like pee. How hard can it be to come up with a machine that just turns clothes round and round with a little soap and water? Apparently really hard as Maytag failed to test this machine. Maybe city folk just have lightly soiled but on the farm with 7 kids, my kids play hard and their clothes are very dirty. They continue to stay dirty unless I wash them twice on Power Wash and Extra Heavy Load. Not impressed. Would like a replacement washer of equal or lesser value, anything that works. Oh P.S. Its about Maytag MDE7600AYW Atlantis electric dryer issues, Nov 2005 model. There is an obvious design flaw. I have replaced the automatic dryer control board twice since 2005. The unit simply never shuts off, or cooks your clothes for 2 hours. Who will recall this unit and fix the circuit? They will not admit their error.

Worst washer ever. My clothes I have to wash a few times before they all get wet. Not a good washer at all. Has all the bells and whistles. Lets me know when the washer is done or its unbalanced... my washer is crap. Ive had it maybe a year now. I now have to buy another one. Why? I tried to open the door to put clothes in the dryer and got severely shocked by 220 volts. The dryer is only a couple of weeks old. The power cord wasnt crimped and it fell out of the diggings and electrified the entire dryer. I guess we were lucky it didnt burn our house down. I took pictures then I fixed it myself.

I bought 4 appliances - stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. Just after 1 year, our dishwasher stopped working. Serviceman said it was the motherboard. I had to talk with a supervisor in customer service to get it covered and found that it was only a switch that was bad. Next, our ice maker overflowed with water, causing damage to our new hardwood floor. Again, I had to talk with a supervisor to get this covered and I did not file a claim for the floor. Then, our stove shut down. Repairman found that a wire was shoved into the top box, causing them to be exposed and shorting out the system. Now 2 years and 4 months, our microwave is not heating and I have to call for service. This was a brand-new kitchen that was remodeled and all appliances were new.I am very disgusted with Maytag products and their attitude of We are sorry, but there is nothing we can do as the warranty has expired. It used to be 3-year warranties for Maytag products until they were bought out. Never will I buy their products again. Have been married 40 years, and our other appliances for 38 years never failed and to find that these products are made in the USA.

Purchased this Maytag dishwasher (Model DB7749SBM2) from a Sears 2014, no problems until now in late June 2014. The control panel is not responding. Start/Resume light is off, pressing it doesnt seem to do anything. Cancel light is off, pressing it does trigger the cancel drain process. Wash Cycle choices either dont respond, or for 2 of the choices engage an incorrect cycle. Option choices dont respond. Delay light comes on when an incorrect cycle choice displays but stays at 2 hours, cannot be toggled off or to a different delay length. Holding Control Lock or Delay for 3 seconds doesnt seem to clear the circuit board logic. Problem began with the Cycle choice buttons defaulting to Rinse Only. Control panel behaves not at all or incorrectly as described above. Seems to be a common Maytag control board/panel problem. We need help as we are unable to afford repair or another dishwasher. This time, it will not run at all. I called customer service today (August 11, 2015) and they expect me to pay for the repair. Repairman already said electronic board bad at a cost of around $300 just for the parts. It is easy to Google and find multiple review sites that indicate hundreds of consumers have similar problems, but Maytag will not acknowledge any issue. Based on the pattern the warranty is not going to help as it goes out just after a year. For only having it 1 1/2 years it is becoming very expensive. There should be a recall on this control panel.

We purchased the washing machine (MVWB400VQO) on July 9, 2009. Now we must buy a new washing machine as this one is apparently beyond repair, or else the repair costs will far exceed what it would cost to purchase a new machine. We are completely disgusted with its failure, as we paid $822.36, with the delivery fee and the tax. We expected that this machine would last for years, but here we are, 42 months later, having to again invest in a washer. Now that we have a computer and are able to browse your performance reports, we wish we had been able to read them before, in which case we never ever would have bought it at all.Yesterday it spewed water all over our basement, flooding things that should not get wet, providing an atmosphere for encouragement of mold and rust. The motor is gone as the housing is cracked, which was caused by debris getting into it, something that we could not have known or prevented. This is very poor design by your company, in our opinion. We called some repairmen, all useless as apparently the whole machine would have had to be completely dismantled at a rate of $84.00 per hour, and he could not tell us how many hours that would take, to say nothing of finding a new motor for the thing.We will never again buy a Maytag product as they are expensive with a too-short shelf life and there’s nobody who cares when you need help for something that should not have happened at all. I understand Maytag is really not the good old dependable Maytag we used to know and love at all, but rather is now owned by the Whirlpool Corporation, whose products we will never purchase either.I know why that lovable old Maytag repairman we used to see on TV is retired. Im totally done with the Maytag brand that Ive trusted for over 30 years. I never knew until yesterday via Facebook friends that they are not true Maytag-made anymore. They were bought out by Whirlpool eight years ago. I bought my top-load Maytag Bravo 400 Series Washer ($1,028) at Home Depot in October 2008. No problems with it until now, less than 4 years old with error code DL. So I looked in the book and found it was the lid lock (the little red light wasnt lighting up when closing the lid, which prevents it from running).I made an online appointment with Sears Home Appliance repair to check it out. But after talking with online friends and googling fix videos, I was able to get it running today by taking the top off, unplugging the lid wire and plugging it back in. So far, its working but now I will fear each time I go to use it that something else will fail. My old Maytags (washer and dryer) bought in the 80s never needed service until they approached the 14- to 15-year mark. That only tells me that the newer made appliances are total junk! So many complaints and how the companies dont back their appliances, it just sickens me.

This Bravos 300 washer has never cleaned clothes adequately. I have 3 sons who are athletic and this washer does not clean sweaty or dirty clothes even with extra rinse. Now my machine is 4 years and 3 months old and it needs a new bearing which will cost me $385. The repairman said this is a common repair in this machine. Maytag should be ashamed of the poor quality of this machine. I am now looking to by a new traditional top loader. These HE machines are a joke. I am contacting them to make a complaint and see if anything can be done.

Purchased our Maytag Centennial Washer Model MVWC400XW4 2 years and 5 months ago; guess we are luckier than most; it has now failed in the spin cycle, high pitch, high volume whine, sounds like it is about to explode. Needless to say is out of warranty; and too expensive on our limited income to have a technician repair. I will hope to make the repairs myself; nothing to lose at this point; and from reading the countless negative reviews about this product; should be as many countless repair suggestions on YouTube. Obviously if Maytag would stand behind/up for their product as they claim they do; I and many others would not have these issues. My wife and I for sure will never buy another Maytag product until Maytag resolves the issue, which if my calculations are correct will be never. My advice is simple, do not buy Maytag products.

Very disappointed with my 2014 purchase of model MDB8959SBS3 dishwasher. In fact it is no longer in service. We used the dishwasher approximately twice a day. The wheels on the pull out racks starting falling apart in the first 6 months. Then the soap dispenser failed. It would not shut. We replaced both the wheels and the dispenser only to find ourselves with the exact same problems in a matter of months. My hubby got really good at fixing both of these items. The final straw was earlier this year as when we turned it on the motor/water pump started making a screeching sound. Never had to replace an appliance that was only four years old in my lifetime. Just very disappointed with the quality of Maytags dishwasher.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher April 6th, 2011. Its only 3 years old and now the control panel isnt working properly. Specifically, the start button. Contacted Maytag Customer Care service and they could not help me other than charging $80.00 for the Maytag Man.. which by the way, we arent suppose to see because of their superb quality in appliances. I purchased a Maytag made by Whirlpool in China about two years ago. The timer went out about nine months later. It went out again about 3 months after that and I paid to replace two sensors in addition. The washer still stops during a cycle at various times; it might be pausing or spinning or filling. When it finishes washing, sometimes it refills and leaves everything wet. I purchased from Deweys in San Clemente and they have tried to service but this is a real lemon. I will never buy anything again made by Whirlpool. I will research and find out what companies have been bought by them so as to avoid this. I note online that there are several hundred complaint problems about Whirlpool so they had to buy a company with a good reputation and ruin their product.

My husband and I just purchased on 4/8/17 a BRAND NEW MAYTAG 4.3 CUBIC FEET CAPACITY FRONT LOADING WASHER WITH STEAM AFTER OUR PREVIOUS 15 year old washer that we both used just finally started having issues. So we decided to go new and with front loader with good brand. How sadly I was wrong! We brought our washer home, hooked it up and turned it on with 1/2 load of tiny laundry. It didnt even make it through one load! This POS started throwing error codes E1, E2, F8, F9, Suds and wouldnt drain any water. We reviewed the manual again, checked the filter hoses and detergent. All was fine but washer wouldnt work! I called Maytag 2 days later on Monday and after repairman came to look at it Thursday said it needs new drain pump and today now power wont turn on and nothing will work on front of machine, mind you this machine is brand new! I am so disgusted and angry that any company would sell this quality to anybody and at the prices they charge! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE ANOTHER MAYTAG!

I have to agree with all these other reviews. This washer twists clothes and does not wash them at all. If you open the lid mid cycle you will see dry clothes on top... Isnt that the whole purpose of a washer? WTF. Steer clear of Maytag. They realize that theyre selling washes to Generation Xers and they can get away with it because we were the first throwaway generation. Great business plan Maytag!

We purchased a 3K Maytag refrigerator/freezer and purchased an extended warranty as well. 5 months later the ice machine stopped working. We called Maytag to get it repaired since its under the 1 yr factory warranty and they sent an appliance service company they contract with to repair it. 6 service calls and two months later its still not repaired. I called Maytag back to say if you cant fix it please replace it. They say it needs to be deemed not repairable to even consider replacement and that they would send out a different repair company. As of yesterday (9/(9/14) another month and a half and 5 trips from the second repair company and it still does not work, so I call Maytag again to complain and they give me the same line ....needs to be deemed unrepairable... How long and how many service calls does it take to fix a ice maker? How much work and how many hours do I need to miss to get what I paid for? I went to their website and it talks about how their mission statement is customer service etc, etc, etc..... Thats just a bunch of lip service and judging by the HUNDREDS of complaints I have read this is their standard method of operation.... I for one will not let this go and will be filing a claim in small claims court to get what I paid for..... BE WARNED if you are looking to purchase a appliance.

A dishwasher was on sale $500 and stopped working in under two years. It was a stainless steel Maytag. No one will help service it, and it seems unreal that a dishwasher should break down so very quickly. To not already work in under two years is astounding.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher MDB7609AWS2 in October of 2010. It first stopped working about 2 years ago. Since it was only 2 years old, we were disgusted and decided to let it sit and do dishes by hand. About 2 months after it had stopped, we tried it on a fluke and it worked. It stayed working for about 2 years. It finally stopped again, so we did the same thing, just let it sit. Every once in a while we try it to see if it works. It just recently started working again. We are wondering, what is up with this. We are not sure why or how the sitting works, and it is ridiculous that you have to have an appliance that you cant use periodically. We were too stubborn to have it fixed or buy a new one at this level of newness. We will get by in this manner for at least another few years, so as not to have lost all of our investment in a dishwasher, but we have sworn off Maytag appliances forever.

Oven failed after 2.5 years of normal use (1-2x / week). Apparently a relay failed (and burned out bake element). Contacted service & parts dept and learned that repair would cost $100 for service visit and $413 to replace the control board. Only the $80 bake element is covered by the limited warranty. Wonderful oven if your hobby is appliance repair. After 2.5 years, it now functions better as a toilet than an oven.

Consider all other manufacturers before purchasing a Maytag dishwasher. Our 3 year old model MDB8949SBB1 is junk. The control panel is a joke. Works when it wants to. Do not spend your hard earned money on Maytag.

I bought a Maytag washer 6 years ago. Energy saver. Less water. Nothing ever seemed clean. Always white streaks and I used liquid detergent. So we went out and bought another Maytag with agitator June 2017. Never drains properly. I will never ever buy another Maytag product.

MDBH979SAM0 - Same old. Buttons not working. Control panel out. Repair cost total to be the same as the cost of the dishwasher. Its been over a year since we have extended warranty. Purchased from Home Depot. I am filing a complaint with the Consumer fraud unit of Washington State to get a State Action pursued on this.

I bought this Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7749SBM2 and of course it ran great until the warranty was up and then the touch pad started acting up where if you would press normal every other thing would light up. I replaced the keypad and then the controller and its working at this point again. The keypad ribbon cable had a big burn mark in it and by all these complaints it seems like an issue Maytag has and does not want to address. Luckily I work on electrical and was able to do this myself and I had no labor but over $300.00 in parts. What upsets me is I bought because of the reputation and the Made in America on it and it was replacing a 20 yr old Kenmore that was still working great when I took it out. With all the complaints about the same issue Maytag which is Whirlpool would step up to the plate and fix this. No more Maytags/Whirlpool for me again.

This is in reference to Maytag washer MVW7232HW0 that broke after 5 months. Maytag sent a technician out who claimed we needed to replace 3 parts. We waited almost a month for the parts to come in just to have the technician say that didnt fix the problem. We have been waiting a 1.5 months for a resolution with nothing in sight. Now we have to either way another TWO months for another part, buy a new washer and get refunded for the old one (but WE would be responsible for the almost $300 price difference it now is), or wait for a new washer to come in stock and Maytag will replace it. However according to them there are no washers in stock for the foreseeable future. This company has been a joke to deal with. I have everything recorded and will take this further.

I bought a model MDB7749AWW1 Maytag dishwasher in May 2011. I thought I was getting a nice one, but no one really liked the way the racks were designed after we got it installed and began using it. My biggest complaint however is with the control panel. It failed in November 2011 and was replaced under warranty. It has now failed a second time in June 2012 (just over one year old and out of warranty). Theyve offered to pay for the parts since it is so close to one year and I pay labor. Well see how that goes. Looks like there are lots of problems with Maytag control panels.

I purchased this machine (Maytag Bravos XL MVWX700XL2 ) about 18 months ago. I was so excited with the looks and the reviews I found on the machine at that time. For the first 14 months I was happy. All of a sudden, it has become the washer from Hades! It twists and almost ruins my clothing. Not to mention, I think it is permanent wrinkles that it puts into things. I washed our comforter on Bulky. The part that must have been at the bottom is completely wrinkled and it also wrecked all of the fill. This was a comforter that it is supposed to be fine to put in the washer. I am attaching pictures in which you can almost plainly see where the comforter was at the bottom. I had a serviceman out a few weeks ago. He said Maytag knows that there is a problem, however, there is no service bulletin that is out yet on it. In addition, he ran all of the codes and told me there is nothing wrong with my machine. That must be why I have to iron almost every piece of clothing in this house. Maytag will hopefully give me decent customer service on this, or I will come unglued. For the price of this washing machine, I expected much more.

My husband bought me a Maytag washer as a surprise gift. I was so excited to get a Maytag. I will never purchase a Maytag again. I am so tired of washing, rewashing and rerinsing my clothes and still not getting the soap out. I have used every different kind of detergent and used with and without fabric softener. I have also tried cold, warm and hot water. I would rather use more water and get the soap out instead of using more electricity to keep rewashing my clothes and then in the end having to take a wet cloth to get the soap out. Never had to do this with any other washer I owned. Very disappointed as I always thought Maytag was the best.

I, too, am absolutely done with ANYthing Maytag. We purchased our Maytag microwave model MMV4205DS-1 in January of 2016. Within the first year we experienced occasional open/close door issues due to the faulty door latch switches. Now it happens virtually all of the time. The ten year warranty is a joke; it is just a come-on designed to deliver a false sense of security that Maytag will indeed stand behind their worthless products when in fact they wont. I am so disgusted with them.

In 2011 I bought a brand new Maytag (HA!) washer & dryer thinking it was going to be as good as my old Maytag - which is STILL working since 1980 in a 4 person household! Boy what a HUGE mistake that was! In 2 yrs the bearings went out and something else - big! and would have cost more to fix than the NEW Speedqueen I got (which does a HELLUVA better job and by far all around is better than Maytag CRAP!) AND has a 3 yr warranty and not just 1 like JUNK Maytag! Maytag name went down the drain with the dirty laundry water! FOREVER! Seems the more I look around the more complaints I see! Whoever owns this brand now should be crawling under a rock somewhere and be ASHAMED of the POOR quality products youre putting out there!

Bought this as W/D set brand new from Home Depot. Had been noticing incredible wear and tear on clothes, as things get so tangled up and need to be practically ripped apart before going into dryer. Cycle times are crazy long, up to over an hour in some cases. Doesn’t have a “Speed Wash” cycle. But WORST of all, after less than 3 years, it just stopped draining properly. Tried all the Codes test, etc. Finally called a repairman just to be told repair costs would probably cost more than the machine is worth. $125 to be told we ought to just buy a new washer. Not happy.

April 26, 2011, I purchased a Maytag top and bottom fridge from Home Depot. After a few days, I noticed frost starting to form in my frost-free freezer and the fridge wasnt really that cold. I adjusted the dials thinking that may do the trick. Nothing changed, it was all the same and instead, frost was thicker. I contacted Maytag, which by the way was taken over by Whirlpool. I told them my situation and since I had just bought the fridge, I wanted a new replacement. They told me things didnt work that way, that I had to honor the warranty. Fine, we are almost entering October now. I have had several services calls, I have written to the Better Business Bureau, I have lost a few hundred dollars worth of food for it would be full of ice and had to be thrown out, I have contacted the executive offices of Whirlpool but they, along with the Better Business Bureau are not doing a thing. Tomorrow, once again, I am having a service call and once again, I know the issue will not be fixed. All I wanted was to either get my money back, along with extra for the loss of food or for them to just exchange it for another one, since this one was purchased with a problem. I really dont think that its right that they are able to get away with this. Just looking at this page, I see that there are plenty of people with this same issue. What is being done about it? If it were them with this issue instead of us, you know ** well they would have had a new fridge the following day. Here is my model# M1TXEMMWQ and serial# VS04658359 for this fridge. Model MDB7749AWB2 Dishwasher - we purchased this dishwasher 3 years ago on 12/23/2011 and it appears to be falling apart. We have replaced two thermo fuses, one door latch/switch and now need the front control panel and handle because two mounting locations for the six screws have broken off. I truly expected a much longer product life than three years when I purchased a Maytag. So much plastic in crucial high stress areas must have slipped by the engineering folks. Or was it just cost cuts. I believe it will be a long time before I consider a Maytag product again based on this one. Thank you.

MF12569YEM2 - Purchased refrigerator less than 2 1/2 years ago, also started having issues with ice forming in bottom freezer and leaking on to floor. I shut the water source off to the water/ice feature, but it didnt solve the problem. After getting on this site and seeing the issue is quite widespread it seems that it should be considered a manufacturing defect. This is the second (actually third) Maytag Refrigerator we have had, one had actually needed to be replaced about 13 years ago because of electrical problem which service man said could cause it to catch fire. The replacement (different model) worked fine for about 11 years... so we decided to try Maytag again... WHAT A MISTAKE! After reading about the multiple problems we can look forward to and endless service calls I too would never purchase any Maytag or Whirlpool appliances in the future...maybe the company should think about the impact on lost consumers!

I purchased the top load Maytag Commercial Residential washer with an agitator last month. I wanted a basic washer with Hot/Warm/Cold settings, Delicate/Normal/Heavy Duty cycles, Small/Medium/Large loads. I paid over $800 for this washer and I cannot wash my whites or rags in hot water! The hot water setting dispenses hot water, then cold water, back and forth. The end result is cool water. Ive called Maytag, Ive been told that there is nothing that can be done about it, thats how theyre made to be considered HE. I asked them why they even put a hot or warm water setting on the washer.You have no control over the water level, all cycles except for normal run in a deep water setting (full drum of water), I dont know why delicates are in a deep water setting. I only wash a couple pieces of delicates together. I end up using a lot more water and detergent with this washer. I hope we dont have to conserve water in the next few years! So though this washer uses less hot water energy, it wastes a lot of water, my water bill goes up and my detergent is used up much quicker! I cannot add time to my wash cycle, (the actual washing/agitation cycle is very short - 10 minutes) it has to drain all of the water and re-start the cycle with more water! $800 is a lot of money for a washer that doesnt wash like my old cheap washer. The local store cant do anything about it and Maytag brushed me off.

I bought a full Maytag kitchen in 2010 because like many others, I trusted the brand. However, before I knew it, the dishwasher broke down. I live in Canada so I get Whirlpool (owns Maytag) 2 year limited warranty. Thank God for that because I have had the repair guy come 7 times. Each time for the same problem (control board) and they have replaced a listed of parts with no success. I have asked them to honor their no lemon policy but am given excuses as to why someone has to come see it first before they can give me a new one. Once the service guy arrived he obviously has no idea about anything and just goes for the repair. Its so frustrating.I am fed up. It is completely unacceptable because now Im losing money staying home waiting for the repair guy. Maytag is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I only hope you see this before buying a Maytag product. Like many others here I use my dishwashers once a week. Now Im faced with a dilemma where I might have to purchase a new dishwasher as soon as my 2 year warranty runs out. My $700 went down the drain.

First let me say I have used Maytag products for 46 years. A little over a year ago bought a new Maytag Centennial Washer (Model MVWC555DW) for a cousin which was responsible to looking after as he had been brain damaged since birth. Needless to say when I started having trouble with clothes not washing and having to bring to my home and wash was not satisfactory. This machine never worked right but until after the 1 year warranty could get by. Needless to say I will never buy another Maytag appliance but now have a Maytag washer/dryer, stove and dishwasher in my home. Maytag is Not the quality that is use to be. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE AND ALSO UNDERSTAND FROM LOWES THEY HAVE HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THIS MODEL.

We bought this Maytag dishwasher two years ago with a two year warranty. We paid close to $700. Six months after we bought it, it started having problems on and off. They are including: leaking water, lights going on and off, cycles are not completed. We changed the console once, and soon after that it broke down again, and this time is out of warranty. Total repair times are: 6 times in two years. My husband call the company, asked them if there is a recall for this model? They told that there is no recall. Then the repair person came. According to his repair experience he said this is the common problem and he got a lot of calls for the same problem. If he told the truth about this, then the company was lying to its consumers!!

My husband and I purchased the Bravos XL washer and dryer set about a year ago as our first big washer/dryer purchase for our new home. We spent about $1200 on the set from Home Depot. I very much regret this purchase as the washer never gets our clothing clean! The washer never puts enough water in the basin and the clothing comes out with strange white smudges EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.I have tried changing detergent, I have tried skipping fabric softener, Ive tried rinsing out the dispenser thinking it was residue from old soap. I dont know what it is, but what I DO know is that the clothes go in without the white smudges and come back out with them for every load. I have to run a second rinse cycle just to get it off, which means Im washing for at least an hour and a half. I DESPISE this machine and its costing me more on my water bill.Additionally, the dryer isnt much better. It constantly shuts itself off even when its not on energy saver mode, with the little red light going on for air flow. Ive checked the connection and dont see what the issue is. If I have a big load such as blankets in there, I have to dry them all individually for almost an hour just to dry my bedding! It simply wont stay on to dry a full load. I very much regret my purchase and wish Id gone with something simpler and cheaper as it would have done a much better job with my laundry. Lesson learned. Dont waste your money on Maytag.

H.V. Board failure on Maytag model #MFI2568AES refrigerator. Whirlpool needs to step up their parts program. This refrigerator has been down for over 6 weeks and part will not arrive till 7/10/14. There is no excuse. The Maytag name is about as good as our country gone to H_ _ L in a hand basket. Consumers should not have a wait on parts or repairs that forces them to buy a new appliance when they spend $2500 and it only last a few years and try to contact them, they wont reply. I hope everyone who reads this considers LG, GE or SAMSUNG and not whirlpool excuses and JUNK.

I bought my washer just over 3 years ago and it started making loud clicking noises and it seems like the agitator function is not working at all. I have a repairman coming over in a few days. I knew I should have gotten the extended warranty!

I purchased a washer on 8/13/12. I had it installed on 8/20/12. It did not clean clothes properly. I went to Two Guys and they said they dont take returns and told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and they sent a a service agent to check the machine on 9/10/12. They said the machine codes were imbalanced and over stud. They need to recalibrate the machine. I did laundry the same day and still find clothes do not come clean. I need to return the machine. I called Maytag and was told they dont take returns. This machine is not cleaning clothes as it should be and I want a refund!

I’m so disappointed in this refrigerator! It does not keep a steady temperature. It’s only 3 years old and will not buy another Maytag. I do like the freezer on the bottom but it also does not keep a steady temperature.

I purchased a new MVBW725BWO washer. The cycle use and guide chart is generic. It does not remotely match my model. I called customer service. No help. She told me to tell her what I am washing and she will tell me which cycle. Really? Every time I wash a load I need to call her/him? I am not a laundry rookie but this machine has many buttons and choices. I want to do the right thing. Too bad. I washed two blankets and continually get an UL (uneven load) indicator. I have rearranged these two blankets every way possibly and there is no clearing the message. I called Maytag. No help. She told me that I should either 1) unplug the appliance, or 2) trip the breaker. Are you kidding me? If I didnt like those ideas or find them useful, call back and she will dispatch a service technician. Laughable. I guess I can pull them out of the washer, drip water everywhere, hand wring them, and move on. What happen to the good old days?

I bought this washer from Lowes in 2013. It worked okay for a little while but lately it stops mid-cycle. Clothes are soaked and all of the soap hasnt been rinsed out. Poor excuse for a washing machine! Will never buy a Maytag again!

Like everyone else got that French door fridge and was also duped on that 1 yr warranty - a 95 dollar repair visit for a 485 repair job on a 1200 dollar purchase. Shame on them. Im gonna fix my new floor and replace that frozen bottom, leaking on the left, non-working ice maker 2 yr old refrigerator. Very disappointed with the whole thing and sorry for all of our losses.

Same issue as everyone else. After about 15 months the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher model#MDBH979SAM1 has malfunctioned. First it would only let me choose the rinse option but now all the lights are turning on and the dishwasher will not stop washing but yet the dishes are still dirty. I called Maytag and they quoted me 249.00 to fix the issue. But if its a common problem with this make and model why do I have to pay to replace the panel. They should recall this model or replace the panel with an updated one that wont have the same issues! I cant imagine paying 249.99 every year to replace this panel that seems to malfunction no matter what you do!!! I paid around 550.00 at the home Depot for this dishwasher! It did not even last me two years!!! I want a lawsuit filed against this company and I want my money back or my dishwasher replaced with one that works and wont have the same issues!!!

I purchased this machine less than 1 month ago. Have had tech here twice - he cant find anything wrong with machine. As for large capacity it will hold a lot of clothing, but will not clean them. I have had to put less than a 1/4 of tub full of clothing (about 15 small items). Use high water level, extra rinse, then rinse and spin again to get the 2 tablespoons of HE soap off my clothing. Takes over 2.5 hours to wash about 15 items. I have called Maytag and they will not back their product. I purchased at Home Depot and they said they have to do what Maytag says. Sending another tech out in 2 more weeks. Takes more water, more electricity, and more time to wash clothes than ever before.

I, too, have had major problems with this Maytag refrigerator! We have experienced everything from a malfunctioning ice maker, flashing control panel, overloaded compressor, erratic freezer (freezes much of the fridge contents), and doors not staying closed/inadvertently popping open. We have owned this fridge since 2007 and have repaired the ice maker and the freezing problems on our own dime. When the clicking sound woke the entire house up at 5 am, I finally decided to post! I realize that appliances are not perfect, and that Maytag had the best of intentions when designing and producing this product, but what really infuriates me is that Maytag has known about this widespread inherent problem since late 2006! Why no recall? Why no notice? Why no assistance? When I called the customer service line this morning, the representative acted like shed never even heard of this fridge having problems - yeah, right. All you have to do is Google the model number or just Maytag fridge panel flashing and clicking problem to discover thousands of similar complaints. I do not fault Maytag for manufacturing a less than perfect appliance, but I do hold them accountable for adequately repairing/replacing such a rampant and unsafe (compressor overload) product! Maybe it is time for a class action. Something needs to be done to protect the consumer from a company that is so slow to correct a long-standing and potentially dangerous problem!

I just want everyone to be aware that Maytag went bankrupt several years ago. They were bought out by another company that still puts the little Maytag sticker on, and all the products are made in Mexico. Apparently all the lawsuits wiped out the company. I did not know this when spent several thousand dollars on one of the best Maytag refrigerators a few years ago. I had nothing but problems with it, and literally had to fight with customer service while it was still under warranty. Needless to say, it only lasted 7 years before the compressor went out, which is roughly $1000 to fix. Kenmore here come...

I bought a brand new Maytag bottom freezer fridge on Aug. 12th, 2012. The main compressor went out on Memorial Day of 2013. I contacted the store I bought it from; they referred me to a local repairman who fixes Maytag. I talked to him and told him the problem along with the make & model of mine. He ended up telling me what exactly the problem was, & there were about 5 people ahead of me with the same fridge, & same problem... all main compressor problems. Check this out. The compressor part is on back order... so now I have no fridge, & Im stuck with this piece of crap, until MAYTAG finds a compressor to ship to the local repairman. - Last Maytag product I will ever own in my lifetime!!!
