We bought this Maytag Bravos 300 Quiet series top loading washer 3 years ago. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer. I absolutely HATE this Maytag Washer. DO NOT buy it. I would rate it less than one star however they did not offer a 1/2 star. If there is class action lawsuit please include me.

Had it for over ten years, had no problems. We dont use the oven too often but it is simple to operate and has served us well. Easy to clean, stainless steel like looks on the front goes well with our other appliances. Reasonably priced too.

It seems to be a broken record with other reviews. I had a 2 year old microwave and the door doesnt recognize that its closed. Which means it wont turn on when I close the door. So you have to open and close it maybe 30-50 times and sometimes it works. I call Maytag who schedules a company but doesnt disclose anything about the warranty or service cost. I was thinking it would be a nominal fee since it falls under a 10 year warranty. The company calls and confirms the cost and I recheck with Maytag who said that the warranty only covers parts. So I buy a $300 microwave and have to pay $160 for a service visit because your company made inferior parts. Absolute sham of a company. Buyer Beware...

After writing a polite but stern complaint to several of the executives at Maytag and Whirlpool we got a call from their executive assistant. She arranged to have a technician come out to our house and assess the installation. He found nothing wrong and Maytag replaced the control panel for free. The technician has seen numerous faulty electronic control panels, and not just with Maytag. He would not recommend a preferred make or model. He longed for the old mechanical timer switches, which we could no longer find in the newer models. With enough customer complaints maybe they will do something about the electronic control panel in the future.

Maytag Dryer is a complete piece of junk. First repair at 13 months, second repair at 15 months. I would throw it away but like a fool I bought the washer. Fingers crossed. Stay away from Maytag, total junk.

Hello, I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer model MVWX655DW from the Home Depot in June of 2017. I can provide the receipt. Within 6 months I had a broken lid switch and the unit would not move through the cycles. Luckily, I had the ability to replace the lid switch at the cost of about $100 just for the part. The repair was fairly involved. This summer, the unit failed to agitate, upon much research, I learned the washer drive hub (which makes the washer agitate and spin) was worn out. It was made of plastic and it is quite a job to get the cover plate off and to replace this part which ranges in price from $20-$45. This is a fairly difficult job and I would not recommend it to most people. It should not be needed in a 3 year old machine. Upon inspection of the drive shaft teeth when I took the washer apart, I found the steel teeth to have significant wear. Why? Now, in mid-November, same issue, the plastic drive hub is worn out again! I was told maybe my shock absorbers for the drum needed to be replaced as the drum may be shaking too much. My previous washer was good for 18 years and I replaced it with this highly recommended model Maytag with the chrome basket. This is absolutely the worst appliance I have had and with every repair, I viewed many, many people with the same complaints and feeling that Maytag should issue a recall on these machines. I will be contacting Maytag and Home depot with my review. The HD installer also stripped the plastic valve one of the water hoses goes on that I had also to replace. A $40 dollar part. This took some disassembly but not as bad as replacing the drive hub every three months. Needless to say, I have to buy a new machine after 3 years of unreliability with his machine. A waste of $500 + of my hard earned money. Very, very disappointed. If I wasnt mechanical and able to fix this washer, it would have cost me hundreds in repair bills. I have receipts of the parts I have purchased for this unit. I hope your experience is better if you have owned one of these machines. Maybe I just got a bad one but many people have complained about this model so I dont believe I am alone. I hate to see good people spend their money on poorly constructed machines. I certainly expected more than 3 years out of a brand new appliance. Maytag and Home Depot have lost a good, long time customer unless they want to make it right. Please feel free to contact me.

February 2011, I purchased a washer from Lowes and started having problems with the washer leaking and skipping cycles on the first week. Lowes exchanged the washer end of first week. The new washer started with not adding water in wash cycles. The repairmen sent by Maytag could not find any problem with the washer. The washer worked off and on for months with problems. Cycles with bleach added worked fine, but 3 or 4 loads later with no bleach having been added, it would produce bleach-stained clothes. The repairman came out again and could find the cause for skipping cycles, but suggested I run clean cycle every time I use bleach. It defeats the purpose of purchasing an HE water-efficient washer.The third repairman sat and watched the unit run a load and then he said I know what is wrong. He took the washer control panel apart and found the wire harness was not properly connected from tub to control panel. I have not found what causes bleach stains 3 loads after the bleach was put in the washer. I will not recommend this unit to anyone because of manufacturing problems with harness assembly.

This washer is the worst! Dont buy it! I paid a huge amount of money only to have it break down in 3 years! My husband and I live without children so our use is minimal. The spin cycle started to make a noise sounding like an airplane taking off. The repairman said it could be fixed for $800 and his service call, he told me that there were over 2400 complaints with this washer for the same product. He also told me not to use it while Im out to avoid the risk of flooding my home! Save your money and DONT BUY MAYTAG products.

Bought top of line Maytag dryer and washer in 2011. Immediately had problems with dryer. Dryer resets timer itself to outrageous times. Clothes so dry they could have been parchment. This has continued with multiple service calls and electronics replaced. Still continuing but they will not act lemon law. I have extended warranties but get runaround everyone including Sears where I bought it pointing to each other. Tech came out today and said problem was the way the dryer is. No way to change it. I guess that is nature of the beast. I will never buy Maytag or from Sears again.

2 weeks after my warranty is up, the control panel is shot. They used to make quality products and that is why I purchased a Maytag. I had before this a very cheap dishwasher from G.E. and it lasted 9 yrs. I cant believe it is already broken. Do not buy Maytag!!

In August of 2009, we had an opportunity to remodel our kitchen plus add new windows and doors. How exciting! SO we had put down new flooring in our kitchen that matched our oak cabinets and since we had a little money saved, we wanted to purchase new appliances to match. We purchased a Maytag side by side with ice and water in the door. It also had the fingerprint resistant stuff on the outside. It cost about $1300. You buy name brand so they will last a while but here we are November 12, 2014, 7 years later and the compressor goes out. If repaired, it will cost $8090 to fix. Why do I want another Maytag. The top loader washer Commercial Technology washes very small loads well. I bought it for the deepwater wash. It DOES NOT work. It also has a auto sensing. Hate this washer. I have to pour buckets of water in the wash to fill it. Maytag/Whirlpool go back to the way it should be. If I want a full washer I should have it! At the end of the day IT IS MY WATER BILL!

1 year 4 month old fridge went out. Waited a month for part/repair. No help from customer service. $1200 fridge, $700, lots of angry calls, no luck. Customer service is horrible. This appears to be a common, known, well publicized problem - freezer drain clogs and needs to be either changed or repaired with a fix, a free replacement part for the drain seal. Easy to install, takes 15 minutes. HOWEVER Maytag will not give you the part!! In order to take advantage of Maytags correction for a well known, chronic, manufacturer defect, you must engage an authorized service person for hundreds of dollars and wasted vacation time waiting at home for them to show up. Unlike any other product, recall this one is not free. My kitchen is full of Maytag products; dishwasher (not so good), range and a refrigerator that had to be replace when the compressor went out after six years. However this is the last straw, Ive learned my lesson, seen the light, THIS IS THE LAST MAYTAG PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY.

All of a sudden, the lid lock light is flashing. The washer is only 1.5 years old!

Bought the Maytag model MFI2670XEM and within 6 weeks freezer wasnt making ice. Repairman came and fixed it, within a couple weeks same problem again. It was fixed and within a couple months same problem. Fixed, but makes very little ice. Now 18 months later after purchase freezer is leaking water onto the floor. Very disappointed!!! After reading other Maytag reviews I am worried I will have to dump this relatively new refrigerator and buy another (wont be a Maytag) and our upgraded dishwasher from Maytag is terrible! I hand wash all my dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. The smallest bit of ketchup or sauce is not washed away in the wash cycle. Our Maytag stove/oven seems to not heat correctly, as well. Internal temperature gauge reads 5-15 degrees off all the time. Thumbs down Maytag! Extremely disappointed with Maytag products! Will never buy again!

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

Maytag Range Precision Touch Control 800 Electric Smoothtop - The racks in the oven fall down. I have replaced them with new ones but am having the same problem. I emailed my concerns to Maytag a few months ago but didnt get any response (so perhaps I didnt go to the right site). The oven was purchased in early 2008 and this is the only problem I have had with it. If I am extremely careful, I can bake cookies but if I try baking or roasting anything heavy, the racks fall. It is very frustrating but I was pleased, for lack of a better word, to see that someone else was having the same problem - at least I know it isnt just me. I will try contacting Maytag again.

Model# MVWB850WQ0, Serial# CY4070329, Type 580-02. Bought this Commercial Technology washer 2-1/2 years ago thinking the commercial model would be heavy duty. It was only heavy on the wallet. The washer started to emit a loud roaring sound two weeks ago that never happened before. It happens on spin cycle. We cant even have a normal conversation in the house. After reading similar problems and outrageous cost to repair, Im leaning to look for a replacement without the Maytag label. My 10+ year old Sears Kenmore didnt have any problems. My mistake was to replace it with a more efficient washer. I guess New+Efficient doesnt equal long lasting for Maytag. You would think a major manufacturer would put in heavy duty bearings in a washing machine. Heck, maybe the bearings are heavy duty but design shortens bearing life. Enough time spent on Maytag. Stay away!

Bought a Maytag front load washer and dryer, it rattled and shook from day 1, they have come out 3 times in 1 month to fix that, now it wont even spin. This will be the 4th day of work I have had to miss, and all they say is, We have to send someone out to repair. Sorry. Do not purchase their products!! They dont care.

The washer is not cleaning the laundry. Its a HE my butt. Its been looked at and fixed numerous times. It sits too long and it doesnt really agitate the laundry at all. Laundry is in the exact position when you loaded it when its done. Its the worst washer ever! I can clean the laundry better in the sink!

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot 2 years ago and the first year I already had problems. The second year there was ice on the bottom freezer I called Maytag. They claim a technician needs to come out but cant tell me how much it is to come out for an estimate. After they come out they tell me how much it was. Everyday I have ice or water from the freezer. I had also purchased my stove which very easily has been all scratched and considering that I hardly ever cook, I figured it would look new for years. I will never buy another Maytag appliance!!!

I will never buy another Maytag appliance. We built our home in 2005 and bought brand new Maytag kitchen appliances (refrigerator, gas oven/stovetop, dishwasher, and hood microwave). In seven years, we have had problem after problem with all four appliances. We had to replace the compressor in the refrigerator in the first 18 months and then the fan in the refrigerator about a year ago. We have had to replace the heating unit in the oven twice and the handle has broken off of the oven door twice. We have had to replace the handle latch on the dishwasher once and today, the microwave stopped working. We are not rough on our appliances (especially the microwave as we rarely use it), so I think the fact that every single Maytag appliance has broken down one to three times in different capacities in the last seven years says it all. We have had a very poor experience with this brand and will definitely never buy another Maytag appliance.

Bravos XL top loading washer looks nice and very large, but thats about how deep it goes. It leaves even a small load half-unwashed unless you select deep water wash and even then it FAILS TO USE ENOUGH WATER. I tried to go and fill it up once with tap water and it totally DRAINED THE WATER AND SOAP before it unlocked! It was on Deep water wash and the top of the load was totally dry as I dumped the hot water onto it.It is a bad design and it should have never been sold. I know it has special places designed only for HE detergents but when you try to use a Tide Pod the detergent NEVER FULLY WASHES OUT OF THE CLOTHES.... Too small a load, too big a load, exactly 5 pounds or exactly 10 pounds it really doesnt work very well - AT ALL! I was thinking that I might like to get some SHOS at the low price it is but now I can see why they are definitely not getting back into business.

Purchased new washer mid-February from Maytag dealer. He said machine has few problems and it was a good machine. 3 and one half months later, the machine is dead. No lights on display but power at plug. Repairman comes at appointed time and says it needs a new circuit board. Within a week, the part arrives and an appointment is made to install the new board and still have the same problem. Have to order a new console panel. 3 and a half weeks later, the part comes in. I have a job which I used the money to buy this machine and now the service advisor wants me to take off work so they can try to fix this machine. He told me I cannot return the machine. Whirlpool Canada LP Customer Assistance said they could not do anything. When I asked to talk to her boss, she put me on hold. She came back and said they would give me 6 months extended factory warranty and she would email this which I have not received. Work schedules will dictate when the next appointment will be made.

Maytag, you are still trading on your good name but that will not last! I owned a Maytag, agitator style, for 20 years and it was still running just fine when we built a new house. I thought it would be wise to buy new appliances for my new laundry room so I chose the beautiful and expensive Maytag Bravos XL. I regret that decision. The washer lasted 4 years and began to have problems draining last week. The liquid that stayed in the washtub until the repairman could get here was so foul smelling! He came back today to replace the drain pump and now the washer is showing that the interface and CCU are not communicating. So now we are ordering another CCU and I hope this fixes the problem. I agree with all of you who say you will NEVER buy another Maytag again. Maytag, are you listening?

This is March 18, 2021. I bought a Maytag washer, model MHW5630HW2, which is their high end front load washer, in early July, 2020. The machine worked fine except that out of an available 10 cycles, only two would run. The seller, which was Sears, replaced it as defective. The second machine runs all the cycles but, though leveled carefully, it rattles, screeches, walks across the floor and generally seems to be trying to tear itself apart. The repair service replaced the shock absorbers in this new machine, after a six week wait for parts. This did nothing to fix the problem. The repairman finally just said he doesnt know how to fix it. After many patient hours on the phone with Maytag, they have said I have no recourse. The machine is under warranty and I purchased, for an extra $350, a five year warranty. Both warranties are useless. Maytag refuses to stand behind their product. I live in a small town in New Mexico. There is only one repairman. He cant fix it. Sooo...if you live in a small town, or dont want to spend endless fruitless hours with repair people or on the phone with Maytag, who will ultimately tell you they just cant help you, DONT BUY THIS MACHINE.

It does not completely drain all water out of until. So unless your running the washer every day, you will end up with the most horrible smell coming from standing water. It is very irritating and so fowl smelling.

I bought my Maytag Refrigerator about 7 years ago and the night mares have not stopped. The ice maker has broken down so many times, I forgot to count. The drip from the ice maker lands on the floor of the freezer and drips out to the floor. The cold part of refrigerator end up freezing the fruits and veggie and milk.

We purchased our Neptune washer and dryer combo MLG2000AWW from Circuit City in 1999 for $1900 also purchased the extended warranty. Here we are 15 years later and time to replace with new Samsung units. Besides having the main bearing replaced after 6 years in service, and having a sensor and a switch replaced on two separate occasions all covered by the warranty, our Neptune provided exceptional service throughout the 15 years. My understanding was that Maytag was bought out and run very poorly in the early 2000s as our unit was produced prior to that time... when Maytag was Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag from Lowes about 3 years ago. The spin function quit working properly last Feb 19. We paid $350 to have parts replaced thinking it was a fluke and we would be set for a long time to come. Well, last week the same thing happened... not even a year later. Lowes doesnt care and Maytag doesnt care. They want you to spend more to get a warranty to get you to 5 years... well as far as I am concerned that is not good enough. An appliance should last 10-15 years. This Maytag was to replace a Whirlpool that caught all of our clothes in the agitator fins, so after a short period of dealing with that we paid out for a Maytag without an agitator. So in the span of 6 years... we had about $1,500 of dissatisfaction. I believe our repair guy said they the companies are one and the same. Selling junk ought to be illegal.

I bought a front loading Maytag Cloths washer model# MHW3505FW1, SER# C71451407 new in April 2017, from Home Depot, since then it has broken down three times, with a water pump, a master board, and now another master board, we were told by the appliance repair service that is used by Home Depot extended warranty service, that it will take a month to receive the master board. Thats it... Never again will we buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product. This is unacceptable. Gone are the years when Whirlpool and Maytag made quality products!

The Maytag Centennial is the worst washer ever. Not only doesnt get the clothes clean but it does not spin out properly either so your clothes have to be run through a 2nd time after washing. The water fill level is so low that the clothes are not covered in water at all, even midway through the wash.

I know that Maytag wants to conserve water by adding as little as possible... But when the damn machine puts hole in 5+ shirts Im not a happy homemaker!!! At first I thought it was the dryer so I had a repair come out and explain Im not the first person that complained of this issue. Its too late for me but Maytag needs to be aware that they are losing, what I thought to be, one of the top washers reputation.

This washer is only two years old and does the wash for 2 people. The control board has broken down and the lid lock did too. Of course the warranty had just expired, so there is no help from the maker, Whirlpool. Save yourself a big loss and dont buy these brands. Mine is going to the dump where it belongs. Thats $500 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and get a Speed Queen.

The oven hasn’t caused any issues. It’s beautiful stainless steel and black finish creates a shiny but modest finish to my kitchen. It’s self cleaning power is also useful and saves time and where I come from time is money. It cooks food evenly just as an oven should.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Maytag basically treats you like youre stupid, resend instructions like that will fix their broken P.O.S machine. I will never buy another Maytag and will be sure to let everyone know what a piece of garbage, from machine to company! Sad that the overall reviews on my machine are 1.3/5 stars on Maytags own website. Oddly, I cannot write any review on their site, Maytag must have realized what a POS theyve been selling and now block reviews. Im thinking that we should get enough owners together and file a class action lawsuit, maybe that would change their tune??? Never BUY MAYTAG, PLEASE keep in mind THEY are UNDER AN UMBRELLA with WHIRLPOOL and MANY OTHER MAJOR PLAYERS... Do not let them scam you the way they did me! If you work hard for your money spend it on a more reputable brand that will not try to stick it to you because they build junk!

I just found this website & do not have my model info with me. But we have bought 2 Maytag refrigerators since 2001. We still have the 2nd refrigerator but I want to replace it as soon as we can. They were different models but had/have the exact same problem. They freeze up into sheets of ice and then leak puddles of water on to the floor. Makes me mad when I see their ad about how great their product is - what a load of crap! My first refrigerator was a General Electric; it was still running after 19 years when I left the farm. I still have my 2nd General Electric refrigerator (18 years old) down in my family room - running like a top! NOT EVER GOING TO BUY MAYTAG AGAIN!

Love my Maytag washer! It is great to have a clear lid so I can see the clothes being washed. Not only the features, it really cleans my clothes. I was surprised at the stains that are removed just from washing them!

Maytag washer Model #: MVWX655DW - I purchased this machine at Lowes in May of 2016. Always was a loud machine but seemed to work ok. In April 2018 the machine stopped working correctly. The spin cycle would lock up and not finish leaving clothes soaked. Called Lowes and waited for their repairman. He came and said it was the clutch and drive motor. Repair is over $400. Machine is worthless. Huge mistake. Never buy a Maytag. I called Maytag to see if they would warranty it. They basically said, Sorry only a one-year warranty on it. I told them the reason I bought it was it had 10-year warranty on it. They said only certain parts but its the drive motor that is clearly marked on the machine that has the 10-year warranty. I was told, No sorry. What huge waste of money. I am out close to $600 and Lowes only give you a store credit with their protection plan.The credit is not enough to purchase another machine without more out of pocket expenses. I will never buy another Maytag and I would not recommend anyone else does. Their warranty is a huge joke. Their customer service is terrible. Maytag should not even bother sticking the 10-year drive motor warranty on their machines. They do not honor it. My advice do not even consider buying one. You will be out the money and be purchasing a new machine within two years.

The dishwasher is only one and a half years old and like many others are having trouble with the control panel. The model is MDB89495AWO which cost nearly $800. The dishwasher does not shutdown after an operating cycle. On contacting Maytag with the symptoms they advised that they have never heard of a similar problem. On reading the comments/experience of other Maytag owners I am undecided whether to scrap this unit and buy another make!

I have an HE Maytag Bravos X washer and it cleans very well. But compared to my previous washer, with an agitator, I like the old one better and the clothes came out of the washer far less wrinkled. I would not buy another HE machine, given the choice.

Im told even though my fridge is leaking water and making sizzling sound nothing can be done and my model number and serial number match the recall for this product and I was told that if my fridge catches fire then, Call us but to me thats ridiculous.

I purchased my Maytag side by side Model No. MSB27C2XAM00 in August of 2013. Within a 2 Weeks the lettering was gone on the control panel for the ice and water dispenser. I contacted Maytag and they replaced it, but the next one did the same thing, and the next one! They replaced it three times and they have all done the same thing. Now they are refusing to do anything more because they say I must be using cleaner or something on the panel because I am the only one having an issue with this! I assure you I have not used any cleaner and there are only three people in my household so it doesnt even experience excessive usage! I know this problem isnt as extreme as some, but when you pay this much money for an appliance you would like to think it should last longer than this!

I built my home and bought all Maytag appliances. The freezer and fridge knock on wood have been repair free. Replaced control panel on stove for 400.00$. Washer after 2nd repair had to replace 600.00$. Dryer repaired once 95.00$. Replaced dishwasher with a new Maytag. After 2 1/2 years the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher will not work. This is the 4th repair. I have paid for 2 repairs out of warranty. 380.00$ the last repair. I did request some help from Maytag. They said no... My dealer did only charge me for the parts.

Within 2 months of 1 year warranty running out, the control panel went wacky - does all kinds of weird things except work right. Called to see if there is any suggestions or work arounds and was told they would be glad to set up a service call for between $70 and $100, where they could tell me how much it would cost to fix. As with the other 100s of folks with the same problem, they basically said gee, you should have bought an extended warranty. If you have this many people with the same problem then it is Maytags problem, not the poor sucker consumer who got stuck with it. If you are considering this dishwasher, run, dont walk, as far from a Maytag or Westinghouse product as you can get. If anyone starts a class action suit against this product, please count us in!

It’s a front loader, very quiet, and uses less water. The clothes come out clean and less wrinkled if you take advantage of the settings. l like the extra rinse and the drawer underneath. The capacity is able to accommodate enough clothes so I only need to do a load of darks and a load of whites each week.

I take pride in my cooking and love my kitchen. As you know this is where everyone gathers when you are entertaining. The Aqualift system does not work. I have run the process 3 to 4 times consecutively in row and the inside oven the oven is never clean. I wipe out the sides over and over. So disappointed. The only saving feature is that you can not see into the horrible look of the inside the oven when it is closed. Was this feature really tested before it went to market????

The refrigerator has been very dependable for over 14 years. The biggest problem we have had is failure of plastic tracks on drawers that break and had to replace drawers and other problems with plastic components like deli drawer coverlet, and door shelf door plastic. Recently we have problems with the touch control panel on front of door. Not working properly for ice dispensing and temp. control although temp is maintaining what we had set prior to failure of control panel.

Dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Deep Water cycle of Maytag Model #MVWX655DW0. Cycle produces low water thereby resulting in inadequate cleaning of clothes. Choosing another cycle to wash a particular load doesnt match what is recommended.

We bought a Maytag Bravo model top washer recently and have no good things to say about it. The startup time is too long and clothes are coming out with lint all over them now. If the unit could be returned we would do it immediately but we cannot.

First front loader washer and love it. Saving on water, less tangling of clothes. So far they are quieter than others that I have had. The dryer is almost 10 years old and the washer less than a year. The machine I had previous to this was top loader that had to be replaced, would no longer spin.

I didnt want something from Sears due to horrible experiences with them. Maytag is very reliable and the cost was reasonable. They fit in the small space available for washer and dryer. They have all the features I need. The only complaint I have about the dryer is that for some reason if the load is small, it takes longer to dry than with a full load. I have had them for about 5 years now. I expect a washer and dryer to work correctly every time. If its poor construction I would not buy it. I also expect an appliance to last many years with proper maintenance.

A 14-month-old cabinet dryer required a new motor. I was promised delivery in 3/4 days. Following several calls, all of which resulted in the delivery date being extended to over eight weeks, the same engineer called to install the new motor. He refused to do it as the surrounding paneling had not been removed to give him access to the cabinet. It took another four days for him to return after we called in our builder to remove the panel--three screws and four-minute work. I asked for the warranty to be extended, by way of recognition of Maytags awful service. My request was rejected out of hand and the reasons do not accord with the chronological evidence I hold. I am about to bring a claim in the local County Court.

I own a 2004 Neptune front end washer that Ive dealt with the terrible smell of stagnant water since I got it. Now the motor went and I was told I need a new washer even though the product warranty information clearly states the motor is covered for up to 10 years. The repairman told us that the motor thats in my machine is no longer being manufactured. How is that my fault? I do not have another $800.00 for a new one, which is now not even a lot of money for a washer. Ive already bought 2 washers since I built my home 14 years ago. Its just not right!

I have ALWAYS bought MAYTAG since the 1970s. But MAYTAG is no more. Whirlpool bought them out. I have an HE (first mistake)... HE... will go away just like low flow toilets did!!! You cannot wash clothes in 4 of water. I bought a top loading Brazos XL for $1100 (second mistake)... Have had it just over a year! I should have returned it but did not. Huge mistake (#3)... Repairman told me to get rid of it as fast as I can. Will eat me up in repairs. Now needs repair again for another NEW issue... The fill sensor does not tell the machine to load the proper amount of water. Now I cannot clean washer, tried three times last night. I am beyond upset. Repairman said buy GE! You can bet it will NOT be High Efficiency!!!!!

Here recently I got a bravos washer x series because it suppose to cut down water usage. Well that it did. Now going on 7 months of having it now its starting to act up like when the cycle is done it will lock again and repeat the cycle all over. I use the normal or powerwash cycle and here recently how its suppose to sense the load and then start spraying the clothes with water and detergent. Well not here. Lately it still senses and spins and then starts filling up like its on the bulky/sheet cycle but its on normal cycle and it doesnt fill all the way up - just 4 or 5 inches of water. So I dont know what is up with this piece of crap and why its acting this way. Other times it will work fine on the normal and the other cycles but now its just acting all crazy.

So disappointed in Maytag - I have a 2013 Bravos washing machine that if I had it repaired again (less than a year after I had it repaired the first time and just over two years since we brought it home) the cost is going to two times the purchase price. And because it is just out of warranty Maytag is doing nothing about it, even though they know there is a flaw in their design.

My washer (Performance Series 4000) needed new bearings about 6 months after purchase. By the time the parts came in and after the A&E repairman rescheduled because he didnt know how to replace them, another two months had passed. Now, a year later and with no more warranty, the bearing needs replacing again! This washer is only 1 year 8 months old! The first repair cost well over $1,500 but was covered under warranty. There are hundreds of other people with Maytag washers having the same issues! Maytag is well aware of the defect and refuses to take responsibility. I would like to file a class action lawsuit against Maytag. Im in Tennessee. Please contact me. Thank you.

I got a Maytag Bravos 18 months ago and liked it at first. After using the washer for a while my towels were falling apart. Did not connect to the washer at first but I began to notice pulled threads on my towels. Talked to Maytag customer service who said they had never heard of the problem. She did say mix the towels with other clothes to prevent the problem. When I got this machine we had about two dozen good quality towels. Now I am down to maybe a half dozen. Those came from the six my Dad bought us for Christmas and I stashed away. The towels have pulled threads all over and will be completely destroyed soon.

Purchased the Maytag Bravo Nov 2010 and had to replace it after just 5 years. In the five years we owned it, it required a new water pump and the stabilizers had to be repaired. Its motor burned up and I was not able to find a replacement. I was quoted $224 (parts only) for a replacement motor and 10 weeks delivery. My wife never liked the machine as it was not able to clean clothes that well. We did not find much difference in any of the settings. We tended to put very few clothes in each load in order to get them clean. We were dissatisfied that it did not have a soak cycle and the lid lock was particularly annoying.

My Maytag refrigerator Model MFX2571XEMS has to constantly be defrosted due to ice accumulation in the bottom of the freezer. If not defrosted, water leaks out onto our hardwood floor. Maytag will not do anything to resolve this problem. We were told by a repairman that we have to defrost it manually to fix the problem. Yeah at least every 2 weeks. What a rip off.

I purchased a 5 Maytag appliances in the last year. Stupidest thing I have ever done. The clothes washer being the worst. Front Load, model # MHW3505FW1. Last night I threw 5 small, lighter weight things in the washer on normal cycle, med temp, max extract... like usual. An hour and thirty-eight minutes later (normal cycle time), I opened it to find most things never even got wet. One scarf was still folded in fourth - the way I put it in! I called service even though I know there is nothing wrong with the washer, other than being so poorly designed, it cant get clothes wet with a damn tub and a hose. After I told her the problem, she puts me on hold, comes back to tell me she researched this everywhere and she found that this is a symptom of a NEW washer! Its SOO efficient that you cant even tell it was wet! Bull. Most of the items were brand new and you could see the original creases and smell the new smell. They CLEARLY were never wet. They wanted to set up an appointment for servicing, so now I have to be here for them to tell me nothing its not broken. I will never buy another Maytag again.

Maytag Glass top model #MER8600DHO. I bought it because it got good consumer reviews. This is supposed to be a self clean oven but the steam system in this model is not very effective. It doesnt clean the oven. Would never buy a range again with this oven cleaning system. I wanted to try a glass top stove but wish I hadnt. It is harder to clean and the glass scratches. I really dont like the self clean oven system in this stove - it flat out doesnt work and it takes a lot of elbow grease to clean the oven. The oven however seems true to temperature and does a good job. Overall I am Ok with this stove but wouldnt purchase a glass top again.

I purchased two Maytag appliances; PC-touch control 500 Electric Smoothtop and a dishwasher. In less than two years, I have spent over $1,000.00 repairing these two appliances. With my stove, I have replaced the PC control board and the oven light kit. Less than a year and a half, I now need to replace the PC control board again. I have been a Maytag customer since 1976. The dishwasher had a recall for the heat element and I replaced the control panel control board and door lock switch and the main control board. I will never buy Maytag again.

The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

We got our Maytag fridge approx.18 months ago. There was no trouble the first year and there has been nothing but trouble for the last five months. The freezer started frosting one day which causes temp to get in danger zone - we defrost it with a hair dryer about every week and it has continued to frost up ever since. We have a friend that works for a certified Maytag repair business. He came to our rescue five times and called Maytag hot line for help.Together, they could only suggest that the gasket be replaced. He could not see anything wrong with it but we changed it just in case. Still, the problem continues. When we called Maytag customer service (877-556-57420), we were told that no one has had the problem before us. We just looked online; there are 521 complaints about Maytag. Very disappointed with Maytag Bravos XL, four year old unit with bearings going out. Quoted $400 + for repair. With two in the house, wash demands are normal. Quality is questionable to have bearings & seal going out in four years. Also you cannot buy the bolt which holds the Washer Motor Rotor Cover on without buying the whole $130 assembly. Daughter has Whirlpool brand with same problem. Seems to me this is a problem Maytag/Whirlpool should address. My old unit (that I wish I still had), worked for 25 years. I think so much about Maytag dishwasher with electronic controls that I decided to fix up my Maytag mdb3700awx by replacing the motor. It has an old fashion timer. It was trouble free for 10 years until the water supply line fail and sprayed water on the motor and shorted it out. I got a use motor and pump from eBay for 40 dollars. The dishwasher should last 20 more years. Too bad Maytag dont make them like they use to.

Although we have always had Maytags, this was the first time we purchased a front load washer. The Maytag Neptune washer smells and your clothes stink. We have purchased the most expensive laundry products, washed and rewashed clothes and have no other recourse but to buy new machines again. We will not be purchasing Maytag or Whirlpool. Purchased from Al race Appliance for $599.95 total with tag etc was $920.27 on 5/16/12. So thankful was purchased the additional warranty for five years. Purchased our side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator. After about three months, we too have a constant puddle of water outside the bottom freezer door. Maytag came out for the first year it was under warranty, each time saying it was fixed. Its still not fixed and its been three years. I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

Had this front loading washer 13 months when the circuit board failed. I pitched a huge fit as Maytag wanted to charge me 75% of a new washer for the circuit board replacement. Fortunately they caved. I like how well it spins out and washes well. The door gasket is hard to keep clean. Has fresh setting so clothes do not get moldy if you leave them too long.

I totally understand the technology age. We need to move forward as a country and keep up with modern technology. But somebody please tell me why this means companies have the right to not stand by their products? Why do consumers have to pay the price for bad products and companies leaving us high & dry? My husband & I were excited to redo our kitchen. We bought all new appliances in November 2011 - all Maytag. In December 2012 (13 months after we bought them), we started having issues with the oven. The oven would not maintain the proper temperature. We called a service man in January 2013. He deduced it was the computer board so he replaced it. Cost to us - $350 (including service call and labor). Now, less than 2 months later, the same problem. Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore - whatever company you are now - rest assured, you will not survive if you continue to produce shoddy products and refuse to back them up. The service man is to stop by again tomorrow. I refuse to keep plugging money into a product only 15 months old. I will not buy another product from you again. I just hope the dishwasher, microwave and fridge make it to at least 5 years old. Isnt this funny? My grandma has a Maytag washer & dryer - 35 years old. I bought my Maytag in 2013. It worked fine at first but for the last year it isnt getting clothes clean. In fact, some look like theyve never been washed. I have to run the rinse cycle 2-3 times and they still seem somewhat soapy. The washer still leaves clothes drippy after running the spin cycle. It takes 2-3 hours to complete a small load. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. It worked fine for nearly 20 years!

On May 23rd 2009, I bought a Maytag Dishwasher and paid $360 for it. Within the first year, the circuit board had to be replaced, then one year later, the same thing. On October 8th 2011, it appears that the same thing needs to be done. I spoke with the customer service and they will not pay for it. Clearly, this dishwasher has a history of being unreliable and should be covered or replaced. The internet is full of complaints against Maytag for this very same model. How is it that they have not reacted or invoked a recall? I had a similar incident two years earlier with a Whirlpool dishwasher; it turns out that they are the same company. Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. They explained it should be filled only a quarter of the way. What??? Do not purchase this machine.

I, too, have had major problems with this Maytag refrigerator! We have experienced everything from a malfunctioning ice maker, flashing control panel, overloaded compressor, erratic freezer (freezes much of the fridge contents), and doors not staying closed/inadvertently popping open. We have owned this fridge since 2007 and have repaired the ice maker and the freezing problems on our own dime. When the clicking sound woke the entire house up at 5 am, I finally decided to post! I realize that appliances are not perfect, and that Maytag had the best of intentions when designing and producing this product, but what really infuriates me is that Maytag has known about this widespread inherent problem since late 2006! Why no recall? Why no notice? Why no assistance? When I called the customer service line this morning, the representative acted like shed never even heard of this fridge having problems - yeah, right. All you have to do is Google the model number or just Maytag fridge panel flashing and clicking problem to discover thousands of similar complaints. I do not fault Maytag for manufacturing a less than perfect appliance, but I do hold them accountable for adequately repairing/replacing such a rampant and unsafe (compressor overload) product! Maybe it is time for a class action. Something needs to be done to protect the consumer from a company that is so slow to correct a long-standing and potentially dangerous problem!

The freezer will frost up and the shelves will not move. Repairman has been out three times, once to clean the drain. The second time he installed new tracks for 250.00. Two hours later they still wont move. The third time out he said it was repaired, but two hours later they didnt move again. We are very disappointed with Maytag.

I have owned three different Maytag washer/dryer sets. The reason for so many? Selling the set with the house upon moving. I kept my last set which is Bravo. I love Maytag for their features, their dependability, their reputation. I have never had repairs on any of them. Totally awesome! My second set had a neat feature of a drying rack where you could place a sweater or shoes and no tumbling. Sorry I sold that set w/ the house. I am very pleased w/ my present set of Bravo. Purchase this machine Bravo XL Top Load Washer in Dec of 2016, noticed right away every load of dark clothes comes out of the washer with a scummy lint residue on them, some of the clothes are not completely wet when you take them out of the machine. Have talked to Maytag and tried their suggestions that did not work. Seems like a canned speech reading some of the other reviews. I am just at upset with the appliance store that we purchased this from after their sales pitch how these are the best machines made, made in Ohio, great company etc..etc.. Just one run around after another.

Purchased new Neptune stacks in 2002 and had several service calls on our expense and we noticed the hinges on the washer door were rusting! Ordered new ones from dealer but rust continues and has spread to top of machine over the bleach dispenser. The metal is falling off! Bad rust on the inside lip under door also. I contacted Maytag when I first noticed rust and they blew me off so I contacted the local dealer we bought from and they did nothing to help. We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

I bought a Maytag range (MET-8775) last year, because my wife loves to bake and wanted the double oven. The oven never did brown properly, despite trying different temperatures and cookware. So, I called the 1-800 number in the manual. I was told they would have a technician come out and check it, and they assured me it was under warranty. The technician arrived, and since it was close to the end of the warranty period, I showed him the receipt for purchase. I got another assurance that this visit was covered by the warranty, before anything was actually done. Well, he checked it out and eventually calibrated the temperature. That helped a little, but still, it doesnt brown very well. About a month later, I got an invoice from the service company that dispatched the tech telling me Maytag will not cover the visit under warranty. After a long call with Maytag (now Whirlpool, I believe), I was told that since the calibration instructions were in the manual, it wasnt covered! Well, why wasnt the thing calibrated to begin with? And your average customer is expected to have an accurate thermometer/gauge to set it and know whether the temp is off or not? Why was I told twice that it would be covered? If either the lady on the 1-800 line or the tech who came had told me this wasnt covered, I would have argued a case right then. As it turned out, I had no choice but to get billed for something I was assured was covered. And as I said, it still doesnt brown right; and we had tried different temperatures before. We are preparing a major kitchen remodel, and its hard to believe that Maytag/Whirlpool would so thoroughly piss off a customer and potential future customer over an $80.00 service call.

Ive had this Maytag microwave for about 4 years and the magnetron had to be replaced. The keypad was replaced three times due to SE code shutting down unit which happened again. When I explained this to Maytag, they said it is out of warranty. I explained to them that the last keypad which was replaced was only 6 months old. They replied but the unit is out of warranty! I would never recommend Maytag or any affiliated companies to anyone.

My husband and I purchased the Maytag dishwasher model #MDB7609AWW2 in December 2010. July 2012, the control panel would not operate. I called Sears to schedule a repair appointment. (I did not have an extended warranty.) After reading review after review of complaints about Maytag and control panel issues and learning it is a very costly repair, I called Whirlpool which now owns Maytag. (Be advised, Maytag is not the quality product it once was). Reviews also indicate that the replaced control panels are failing within 6 months to a year and a half. After talking to a person in the Maytag/Whirlpool service department, he suggested some things to do: unplug power, unlock control panel, etc. He determined it was most likely the control panel that needed to be replaced. I asked how long a new panel would last informing him of the complaints Id read. All he would tell me was that I had the option to buy an extended warranty. We have decided not repair the dishwasher and will replace it with a non-Maytag and non-Whirlpool brand. I will never buy Maytag or any products made by Whirlpool again. For a major component of the dishwasher to last only a year and a half is unconscionable.

Maytag never fails to please me. My dishwasher is so quiet I sometimes have to put my ear next to it to make sure it’s actually working. The inside is stainless steel (those are the quietest) and it has a child lock so my 2 yo grandson can push all the buttons he wants and he still can’t mess things up. I love the high temp and sanitize features and everything is always clean and dry when done. It seems like it takes a long time to run through all the cycles, though. That and no adjustable top rack are the only two things I miss with my previous dishwasher.

We are extremely frustrated with this machine. It takes an extremely long time to go through the cycle, compared to past washing machines, even when it is working. It rarely completes the cycle and often goes back to wash and stops. We have no way of knowing if it washed or rinsed or what. To get it to finish, we have to turn the dial to drain and spin. The clothes always come out tightly twisted and tangled up and have to be untwisted and items pulled from each other....so they are extremely wrinkled! This is the first and last Maytag product we will ever buy. We HATE it!!! I would say it has been a lemon from day one but Home Hardware was no help when we complained. We tell everyone to stay away from this product.

We bought the Maytag 2000 series washer and dryer stackable set in 2012 from Home Depot. My husband was smart enough to buy an extended warranty and year after year we renewed it. Guess what?? Year after year the dang washer broke. This machine was a nightmare! Now that the drum spider is broken they will not honor our warranty but want to give us $300 and guess what? I cant find a replacement for my good working dryer. We bought this set because we live in tiny space and needed them stacked. Maytag really put us in a corner and we have no money to replace both appliances. Horrible customer service. Horrible machines. Just a horrible situation. We dont know what to do.

In the last 6 years, Ive had a Whirlpool dishwasher that the motor seized due to poor design and overseas Asian motor builder (3 years of normal service). I cleaned the motor and it seems to barely work another couple of months but the design and manufacture process was garbage at best. Thinking I would go with the best produce MAYTAG (Old commercial about repairman having no calls), only to find out that it too was bought out by CRAPPY WHIRLPOOL and it too lasted a couple of years with cheap MADE IN CHINA electronics!!! Thats why we are the laughing stock in the world as far as products.I remember the days of where built in the USA was the best of the best, now with selling our great nation down the toilet so some Wall Street Commie can make his/her biz-zillion dollars and sell this nation down the toilet. Purchased a Maytag smooth-top range about a year and a half ago. Ive only cooked frozen pizzas in it. Have only had it on six or seven times. Havent used the top burners at all. Its an electric range, and I just had it hooked up a couple of months ago, as I was trying to find a place for it in the tiny kitchen. The folks who lived here before me, had a huge refrigerator and gas stove right next to each other, and I didnt want to go that route. Anyway, I went to put yet another frozen pizza in the oven, and the light doesnt work!So, after only six or seven uses, the oven light is busted! My mom had an old Westinghouse Terrace Top range, and it lasted well over 20 years with no problems. The only reason she sold it was because she remodeled her kitchen. It still worked great after all those years. Its after-hours now, but when I call Maytag tomorrow, Im expecting to get the run-around, if the other reviews are accurate, and Im SURE they are. Wont ever buy another Maytag product again.

I have a Maytag refrigerator, Model #MBR 2256KES6, that is only 18 months old. It has totally stopped working. First, there was a large puddle of water on the kitchen floor and then a loud clicking noise in the middle of the night. It does not cool the fridge or the freezer. I cannot believe that a $1300 product is done working at 18 months. I cannot afford a new refrigerator. They should be arrested for selling such junk to the public.

PURCHASED WASHER FROM LOWES. IT STOPPED WORKING IN 2 WEEKS. CALLED MAYTAG FOR SERVICE. First repair service wanted to charge me. Next repair company Rawlings made 2 visits, looked at washer 1st visit said they had to order top latch. 2nd visit need circuit board. 3 weeks passed no latch, no circuit board, nor repair service. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER.
