We purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot; a couple months later the dryer started to rattle so we contacted Maytag and they sent a service tech out who stated this was normal as the dryer was settling and parts are not as tight as they are when new. This was a garbage response and he was asked to leave. I contact Maytag again, told them of the problem and the tech response and they offered to send another tech out except I would have to pay for the service call since they already sent someone out. I sent them an audio file of the rattle, no reply. Eventually Home Depot ended up replacing the dryer as Maytag refused to help me despite it being in the warranty period.

This Bravos 300 washer has never cleaned clothes adequately. I have 3 sons who are athletic and this washer does not clean sweaty or dirty clothes even with extra rinse. Now my machine is 4 years and 3 months old and it needs a new bearing which will cost me $385. The repairman said this is a common repair in this machine. Maytag should be ashamed of the poor quality of this machine. I am now looking to by a new traditional top loader. These HE machines are a joke. I am contacting them to make a complaint and see if anything can be done.

My Atlantis dryer has never been able to be used on more/less dryer settings, I have had 4 repairmen repair my dryer 3 were while dryer was under warranty to fix the same thing 3 times wiring 4th time, anyway last repairman said my More dry wont work because I never had a sensor installed in my dryer and there is not a place for one so since 2005. Ive used timed dry only or my dryer runs all the time. I am concerned the first 3 repairmen never caught this. I should not have to be responsible for this either. Please have a manager contact me and have them check into my Atlantis Maytag dryer bought in 2005 and all the repair slips sent to Maytag.I used Green Yates in Joplin. Pretty sure. I thought I just had to live with it they would put new parts on I think timer, thermostats anyway can someone tell me for sure or inspect for yourself. I am single and dryer never used that much. Had the new set for over a month now and are very impressed. If you actually know how to do laundry, and dont load it up to the top with greasy, dirt filled work clothes, etc. (like some **) you will have no problem lol. We have Absolutely nothing bad to say about Maytag products, and the new set is amazing!!!!

I had a stroke last year in August and my children got together and bought me a washer. And after the third use this thing started messing up and I had to call in someone. Now the warranty is up and I am sitting here with a new broken down machine.

Bought the Maytag high efficiency washing machine with the auto-sensing and deep water wash feature. It took some getting use to because of all the washing choices and different noises it makes. Auto-sensing seems to use very little water which is strange but clothes seem to come out clean. Best bet for me is like the old school way and use deep water wash and light load which is shorter and thats most efficient power wise but will use more water which is fine by me. Also bought the matching dryer and thats a 5 star review. Excellent product.

I have used Maytag washer and dryer for over 20 yrs. I recently replaced the set we purchased in 1988 because the washer broke down but I have never had a great problem with it either. I do on a average of 3 loads of laundry a week. I measure my detergents, mostly wash on warm or cold and I keep the filters and machines clean. I would buy the same maker should I need to replace them.

Have had this set for about three years (was a gift from my parents on having our first child), and its horrible. Clothes come out partially dry, with NEW stains on them, torn or frayed, and twisted into knots. Its supposed to be a high-efficiency washer but we often have to wash things twice to get them clean. We now have two little boys and Im starting to save to buy a different set (no Maytag ever again); disgusted that I cant even sell this set in good conscience. Will either be a donation or an eyesore for the landfill. Worst $1100 ever spent.

Purchased this machine (Maytag Bravo Washer) in May, 2015. Drive motor blew Jan, 2017. 18 mo. old. 10 year parts warranty and a tag on the machine that reads MCT (Maytag commercial Technology), which leads the consumer to believe this heavy duty machine. I called the warranty number, as I had properly registered the machine on the day of install. Said he would have a new drive motor out to me in 7 to 10 weeks. Yes. WEEKS. Really? I advised the operator that 3 parts stores in my area had the part available, and asked if there wasnt something we could do. He said no they are back ordered. How is it that Maytag cant get their own parts. I purchased the motor for 118.00 and my clothes are now washing again. NICE job Maytag. I suggest finding another company to buy your appliance from. Promises made are not promises kept. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MACHINE.

I purchased and installed a high end MAYTAG above the stove microwave. After 3 years of light use I hear an electric cracking sound and it dies. Of course no warranty coverage. Model MMV5208WB-1. I have to conclude MAYTAG builds junk and does not stand behind what they sell.

We purchased a brand new Maytag washer dryer and had nothing but problems with both. After talking with corporate several times, trying to reach the CEO, the customer service person told us that the problems were buyers remorse. Needless to say we will never purchase another Maytag/Whirlpool product as long as we live. We are going with Electrolux!

Bought the pair of Maytags on sale at Lowes 6 years ago. They are commercial grade and wash everything. Have had no issues - works every time. It took a while to get used to not have an agitator but now it seems natural. Would buy again.

Just replaced a washer that lasted over 7 years thru 3 renters with the Bravos top loading washer. There is nothing efficient about a cycle to take 73 mins to wash 20 articles of clothing (t-shirts, socks and underwear). The machine dont wash the top of the load. Also the deep clean feature isnt deep cleaning. I recorded a video of 20 mins of the machine not washing properly before going into rinse cycle. If this item dont produce refunds of the amount of water wasted RE-WASHING and electricity because it doesnt clean on first wash, then its time for Maytag to pay my utilities. For the money spent on the machine, going to the laundromat every other week with 1 roll of quarters each trip comes to be I can wash for 4 years and will outlast the longevity of the machine before it breaks! Also bulky mode is how you get more water in the machine but will take 63 mins to wash.

Code F51 showed up and my appliance repair man immediately said, I see this problem with the Maytag Bravos all the time. Its a control board and motor problem. He gave me a number to call to see if I could receive help through Maytag (Whirlpool), because its a major fix. He also thought that there might be a recall by now since there have been so many problems, but no. The Maytag customer rep was of no help. So disappointed in Maytag and the Bravos Washer. I will never buy another Maytag again!

Two years old, single person owned and will not operate - At 2:00 am, April 25th, 2012; I went to take a load of laundry out of the washer. It was still full of water and would not operate. I am a single person. I do not do load after load in two years. In fact, I was doing a weekly load of clothing, nothing large. I paid close to $1,000.00 for this unit. This sucks and why only one year warranty? Are you Maytag? A Youigo car would run better than this. And they are built cheap.

Do NOT purchase a Maytag dishwasher. What happened to the Maytag repairman being so lonely. Now he has lots of company in the way of angry consumers. Purchased a Maytag dishwasher and less than a year later the control panel failed. It was still under warranty but the service person just tweaked it instead of replacing it. Now, less than a year later it has failed and will cost over $200 to replace and repair. This is disgusting.

In December of 2013, I purchased a Middle of the Line Maytag Dishwasher model #MDB8949SBW for $600 plus $200.00 for install and removal of 5 yr old Kenmore. At that time I thought I did my research and saw no major negative flaws on this type of machine or similar machines. This replaced a 5 yr old low line Kenmore that just upped and died. Installed just before the holidays, this Maytag machine seemed to have worked tirelessly until a few days ago August 18/2015. The computer controls went haywire. I was hitting normal start buttons and other buttons on the other side of the control panel were blinking and lighting up. Worse was trying to cancel and the control boards were not responding. Even hitting the start button, the machine would not turn on. Finally looking at the facia, I see the tabs of the flexible plastic frame that hold the control panel popping out from underneath the white facia plate. Snapping the frame back in and applying a lot of pressure got the machine to operate. With a family of four and minimal storage space, this machine is used approx once a day. It appears over the year and 1/2 by pulling on the plastic handle - which also happens to be the computer control board frame, the computer has separated from its mount and has allowed moisture to hit the control board/computer and wreak havoc on the electronics. Looking up this model online NOW, I see I am not the only one with Dishwasher computers failing within a year or two- just out of the one year warranty. A Call to Maytags customer service has the computer control board alone cost $160.00 plus the service tech and his labor fees reaching in excess of $450.00. The CS rep gave me a repair discount to $267.00 and a week wait for the Service Tech for this problem to be fixed. I bought this machine on two premises - one for its price, it was the only machine that offered 3 spin jets that really do a good job in cleaning dishes and 2, I owned a 1984 Maytag dishwasher in another home with computer controls in the handle and to this day, that machine is still running flawlessly! My only issue with the 84 Maytag machine was after 4 years the door gasket went - too much soap - replaced and no issues since! I expected similar performance with this one. I guess I have to spend north of 3 bills for similar performance and quality. What was I thinking?

I have a Maytag Range that I bought new and installed 6-1/2 yrs ago for over $1200.00. I am single so I rarely use the ovens. The upper over I use maybe 1-2 times a month and the lower oven I may use once a month. The night of 3/7/2016, I used the cleaning cycle set on medium for both ovens. Yesterday, when I went to wipe the ovens down, I found the lower heating elements, on both ovens, had snapped. The top ovens lower bracket had broken in 2 places, the first break is about 2 from the connection, on the right side leaving about an 7 gap. The lower ovens element had broken in only one place about 2 from where it connects into the back of the oven. This has to be a flaw in the either the design or the material. In the 45 yrs that I have been using ovens and stoves, my last stove was over 35 yrs. old, I have never had a heating element break. While I can understand a break at the connection, I can see no reason that the it would break in the center of one side on both lower elements in the same oven. I also noticed that lower heating elements are a much small gauge than the top which I find strange.The other issue with the stove is the seals around the windows are not tight. I noticed dust was inside the two glass panes. The rubber seals were sunk down into the door, but Maytag said it was not their problem that I must have done something. When I remodeled my kitchen, I bought all Maytag products: 1.H20 Frig - The electronic panel went out after 3 months and had to be replaced. Manufacturing Defect - When the repairmen came to fix it, he told me to call Maytag which I did. They refused to pay for the repair because I called a repairman first, even though the business was Maytag certified. Even though I said I would cancel the service call they said because I had made the appt. and they recommended I call Maytag, they would not cover the repair. 2. Stainless Steel Dishwasher (Cost over $700.00) - Motor went out after 3 yrs. 3. Microwave/Convection Oven (above the stove)- Convection light out after 4 months. The replacements are not inexpensive.One other complaint I have is when I bought all my large kitchen appliance Maytag had a $600.00 rebate offer. Even though I mailed all the required documents to the company over 2 months before the rebate ended, I never received my rebate. The explanation I received was that the center that received my documents delayed forwarding them to the proper department that processed rebates and they were received after the offer ended. When I questioned the legality of the practice, I was told that this was all explained in the Terms and Conditions (ie: small print).

My fridge and freezer got warm and compressor is not running. It is not even 8 years old. I replaced start relay and start capacitor. It cost me $75, from Maytag store. I worked two days the bam! It’s broke again. It’s a Maytag junk, now what? I have two kids in college. It will cost me $100 for a service call. Our food is ruined.

The middle piece of glass on my four-year-old gas oven shattered. It was not being used, but when I called Maytag, they told me that that was not covered because I did not have an extended warranty, and that I can purchase a new oven door and would have to pay the service person. I hope they go out of business. Maytag stinks, and everyone should know this.

MCT commercial technology washer Bravos XL - HORRIBLE product, NEVER worked right! Maytag misrepresented this washer. DONT buy it! Lie after lie! Its suppose to be high efficiency... conserve water and energy. I have to use 3 times the amount of water and energy because it doesnt wash the first time correctly. Leaves soap in clothes, just doesnt wash properly. I have done EVERYTHING they have recommended NOTHING works! I will NEVER buy another product from them. Even the repair people and Customer people say they have nothing but problems. Im going to small claims court. Im sure with all the problems we could get a class action lawsuit. No stars.

Since day one, no matter the size of the load or how careful I place the clothes or what level or water, washer vibrates and moves around the floor. I have had service out twice to recheck level but it still vibrates. Worst washer ever. I should have spent the money to repair my 20-year-old Kenmore.

Have had nothing but trouble with this fridge! Ice forms at bottom of freezer with frost all over top shelf. Ice maker no longer works. 3 years old for goodness sake. Had repairman replaced all lines, and still have the problem. Heard you have to unplug fridge for 24 hours to solve problem EVERY 2 Months! Maytag model mfd2561hes French door stainless steel purchased in June 2005 has been the worst appliance purchase ever. After 1 year warranty expired, icemaker and water dispenser stopped working. Was told by repairman to thaw the tube for water dispensing with a hair dryer. Are you kidding me? Why should I have to pull a huge refrigerator out from wall and put the hair dryer to it to thaw out the water line when I need water? What is the convenience to that? Cant buy fresh vegetables as it will freeze before I can use it. This is the worst appliance ever. Dont buy Maytag products. Maytag doesnt back products like the old days when they would last 20 + years. Cant last even a year anymore. Sad!

I bought my Bravos XL 3 years ago after having older model Maytags since the 1980s. My mother also runs a laundromat and SWEARS by Maytag. To say Im disappointed in this purchase is an understatement!!! They have never washed the same as the older models. They twist the clothes horribly! Now Im having issues with all of my dark clothes getting grease spots on them with no apparent cause. I use HE detergent and softener (recommended amounts only) and clean the washer religiously, including the detergent, bleach and softener cups. I DETEST these machines. Also, the dryer never dries unless I run it for 2 cycles, regardless of what setting it is on. Waste of money and definitely not energy efficient when it comes to my water and electric bill, nor time efficient for me since clothes either come out still dirty or with new stains. After this purchase, I would NEVER buy Maytag again!!!!!!

I have a Maytag refrigerator - the kind with the French doors with the freezer in the bottom and then the middle drawer is now leaking water all over my hardwood floors. This is ridiculous. Maytag better get off their butt. They need to send people out or send letters to people that have these freezers to fix them. When you pay a lot for something they should get a good product. If there a recall they should of send out letters or something.

I have the Maytag Gemini Double oven 5 burner stove. It is great! I use the smaller oven more than the bigger oven. Holidays and cooking are a lot nicer with my range oven. The turkey can be cooking in the lower oven while pies are baking in the smaller upper oven. I have had my range for a while now but I have not once had a problem with it.

My washer is 3 years old, it sounds as though an earthquake is rocking my laundry room during the addition of water, rinse, and spin cycles. Cleanliness only when washed twice, along with the washer stopping at 12 minutes because of UL signal (unbalanced) - this happens even when I have a small load. The dryer does dry clothes however along with tons of Lint stuck to my clothes. I empty the lint screen after EVERY dry cycle. Have had repairman who charged me $70.00 and said he could not fix the washer.

I bought the top of the line Maytag washer. I was told they have improved their washer so that it no longer requires an agitator. I was also told the new machine saves you money by using less water. It has a sensor so that it only puts the water needed to clean your clothes. Instead of filling up with water and having the agitator to stir the clothes around, this new and improved machine puts a small amount of water in the machine and vibrates. The end result? All of the dirt and debris gathers in small pockets and sticks to your clothes. In order to save water the sensor only allows a small amount of water to enter the machine to rinse your clothes. When you consider how many times you have to go back and rinse your clothes before you get the caked on dirt off of your clothes, its costing you more money, more time and more aggravation. Oh yea, the maintenance man was out three times before the machine was a year old. The last visit was to replace that fine Maytag motor that was less than a year old. I have pictures that show my clothes with caked on dirt and debris on them after they have completed their wash cycle. It is HORRIBLE!!!

We purchased this Maytag top load washer less than three years ago. Spin cycle stopped working and repair for new actuator motor is $240 (machine cost $500). I should have read Maytag’s reviews before we bought it (averaging about 2/5). Living on name - don’t buy one.

I purchased my home in 2008 at which time I bought all brand new Maytag appliances, well the above the stove microwave Ive had to replace the door handle because it broke off and the oven I can only use the very top or bottom to cook on and I cant move them, otherwise the racks will fall through. I have burned myself numerous times as I cant pull the racks in or out and I found that out cooking dinner and when I pulled it out the rack fell through and my dinner went crashing down and splashed everywhere. Due to this fact I hardly ever use it. I contacted Maytag with no help, told me to buy new racks and those did the same thing so it was a $100. It seems as though the liner cant handle the self clean heat and if you look at my oven, the left side is pushed in. If anyone gets help with this issue please let me know. My model number is MERH865RAS serial # 14348133LX. Oh and my refrigerator is a side by side and I have had to have it repaired twice because my food kept thawing out. That model number is MSD2651KES serial 60869476LV all of these are Maytag products and were purchased brand new from Home Depot.

I purchased this dryer in September 2011. By August 2012, one month before the warranty expires, the thermo fuse blew and the dryer would not dry; no heat. I replaced fuse and 30 days later, it blew again. I replaced it again and now, March 2013, 6 months later, the same thing; the thermo fuse blew, no heat. The vent is clean and air flow is very good. Maytag will not admit a problem. This is not an inexpensive dryer; it may be cheap, but not inexpensive. Maytag quality appears to have vanished. I have Maytag throughout the house but will think twice before purchasing Maytag again. Chinese produced parts/products are inferior. Maybe Ill look at Bosch or LG from now on.

SO SO disappointed. I thought by purchasing a Maytag washer and dryer that I was purchasing quality products. Not so. After only 3 yrs, the dryer is broken. It needs a new heating element assembly at $139 plus a visit from the technician and installation. In total, it will cost about $300 to repair. The washer is slowly going also. It takes about 2 minutes before it starts. Never used to do that. The technician told me that these do not last and that the computer is likely to go in another couple of years which will cost $400 to repair. I called Maytag to see what they could do for me. They offered the part at 1/2 price but insisted on another diagnosis even though Ive already had one. That along with their labor cost was going to cost more than anyone else. So no more Maytag products for me.

Great stove for the price. The oven bakes good, the self-cleaning oven is awesome, the top is easy to clean up and regulating the temperature is so easy.

I paid over $600.00 for a new maytag washing machine two years ago. It quit working a few days ago and the man said itll cost over $400.00 to fix it. Why do you people build this type of junk? I bought a Maytag Refrigerator (Model No. MFT2672AEM10; Serial No. K31503192) on 05/13/2013 at LOWES. On 07/27/2013 my son got hospitalized due to some kind of infection. He had fever and diarrhea that didnt go away. We didnt know what caused it. When my wife was cleaning the refrigerator, she noticed that the ice bin container had a rusty screw and metal plate. Why is the ice bin screw/metal plate rusting? We informed Maytag about this issue and they replaced the ice bin. Now, the replacement ice bin is rusty again. I sent an e-mail to the Maytag Customer Service Manager on 04/20/2015 and was told that its no longer covered by the warranty. I informed the manager that this is a defective/flawed design/rusting part from the beginning and Maytag should have REDESIGNED it when I informed them first hand and not just replaced it with the same defective/flawed/rusting part. I told the manager that this is a safety concern and Maytag needs to do something about it. The Customer Service Manager I talked to didnt want to do anything about it.

This Maytag dishwasher is beautiful inside and outside. I love that the controls are hidden. It cleans dishes very well. It has a large capacity for dishes, a rack for glasses/mugs, a small rack for cooking utensils, and a container for silverware. It is so quiet you hardly know it is working. I would highly recommend it.

I purchased the Neptune washer and dryer from Home Depot in Covina, California. I am very upset that I cannot get my clothes to smell clean! I have tried every cleaner possible to no avail! What do I do? I cannot buy new ones; theyre not that old. Each is a frontload washer and dryer. Now what!

Come on people are you serious! Im talking about all those people who give this washer great reviews or even mediocre reviews. This washing machine sucks! Thank God for the glass lid so you can see how terrible it washes. No water in this thing. Clothes that sit on the edge of the bowl do not agitate enough to be washed if there was water in the wash cycle. Bleach that you use in your white wash cycle is left over and gets onto your colored cycle if you wash it the color cycle next. I ** you not, mark my words that stains are left on clothes even in a cycle that has lots of water in it. If you think Im high or crazy take a look at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. Check the area for washing machines that are for sale that have been used. You will find this Maytag Bravos XL machine there. They look good and are practically brand new and they will be there for weeks on and because people return them if they get lucky to return them. I called my store and they refuse to take it back and told me to call the manufacturer. I did just that... I called the manufacturer and they told me they can send out a serviceman to check the washing machine. Butt...and a big butt, if they find nothing wrong with the washing machine that I will be charged a service fee. Bunch of **! For all of us that get stuck with this pile of garbage we can thank the tree huggers for trying to save the world with low water consumption water washing machines.

Maytag Bravo 300 Quiet Series - Bought this Maytag 5 years ago because Ive always had good experiences with them. After 3 years it started making rattling sounds so we had someone come out and fix it for around $275.00. 2 years later its still rattling, leaving black grease marks and putting holes in the clothes. Will not complete cycle unless it is unplugged, reset and plugged back in. I give up, I just bought an LG. I will never buy another Maytag washer again, still have the matching dryer though.

Fridge Model MFF2258VEB6 - Our refrigerator is less that 2 years old and it wont make ice! The bottom of freezer is filled with water that froze. Everyday there is water on the floor. We asked at Home Depot where we purchased it and they said we need to change the filter. What filter? The owners manual is a joke. We cant figure out where the filter is located so it looks like we have to pay money to have someone come look at this. Hey, this is ridiculous. I thought Maytag had a good reputation and thats why we bought ALL Maytag appliances two years ago! Never again!

I purchased a Maytag Centennial - HE Energy Star Washer from the local Home Depot on Guam.... Probably the worst clothes washer I ever purchased. I typically buy a Whirlpool brand for many of my appliances of which I have always been satisfied with the products. I understand that Whirlpool is now the new principal owners of Maytag. I bought the Maytag for my new second home which I have moved into as my primary residence. Great ads on TV that promote the Maytag product line but the product fails miserably in performance. From the day I purchased the washer, my wife, kids, and I visibly noticed the laundry doesnt get as clean as my previous washers, it takes longer to wash a load of laundry no matter what is the preferred setting, the irritating hum is deafening in my laundry room, now the washer has malfunctioned and doesnt cycle through properly, leaving the clothes either unwashed or wet... I do not know who is your servicing agent or center on Guam and I am debating to repair it or just dispose of it. I can tell you now... MAYTAG... NEVER AGAIN. Now I know why the Maytag Repairman is so lonely.... I wouldnt bother to repair it. I hope these issues do not filter down to your Whirlpool products. That Samsung is looking pretty attractive right now. I bought one of their dishwashers that is doing a pretty good job right now.... Guess what? There was a Maytag next to it that I didnt even look at.

2 years ago I purchased a Maytag Washer & Gas Dryer. Unfortunately, I did not invest or believe in extended warranties. I believe in trying to buy quality products. The door on the washer would not open and 2 error codes were displayed. I was trying to add another piece of laundry and the washer had just started. I canceled the load, waited for the door lock light to go out, but the door would not open. The error codes began displaying E3 and F5. I immediately went to the Maytag website for a resolution. The suggestions did not work and was instructed to obtain service if they did not. I called for a service call for $35, but was told that the repair would be over $300 for parts and that was not including labor. The parts I needed were a control panel and a part for the door lock. This was not a Maytag Company service tech and he told me that this happens because the parts are plastic. Currently, besides a Maytag Washer & Dryer I have a microwave, stove, and dishwasher that are also Maytag. When I replace these appliances, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG PRODUCT. I expect the quality and life of an appliance to be more than 2 years, without buying an extended warranty. When I told a friend what had happened with my Maytag Washer, she told me that she had a Maytag Washer broke down with a control panel problem, and she couldnt remember the other part. She informed me that her repair was over $500.

In 2009, we purchased $5,041 worth of Maytag appliances. Three years later, we have had issues with every appliance except the dryer. The washer needed a new motor and circuit board in February 2011. The oven light came on and stayed on because the switch malfunctioned in June 2011. The ice maker in the bottom drawer sprung a leak in February of 2012 and today, the over-the-range microwave stopped working without any sputters or warnings. While I was investigating the possible reasons for my microwaves demise (Im concluding that it is poor craftsmanship!), I found that my dishwasher is on recall. I did not have any problems with that and it is the one appliance that could have started a fire! Maytag appliances will not be bought again by me or anyone I know. They are a huge disappointment and waste of my money!

This machine has all the bells and whistles but dont expect to use them all because as soon as I used hot water or steam, it affects the lid lock assembly. This should be a recall from Maytag. They know it happens but arent doing anything to improve or remedy the situation. I was only able to use this machine with cold water after this happened. I spent more money getting this washing machine fixed than it deserved. Im so disappointed with Maytags customer service and their product.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo in 2011. With only three adults in the house using it for regular clothes washing, we were surprised when we had to call a repairman and the charge was going to be over $500 to fix the transmission and clutch. We had the same problem as described in many of the other comments, i.e., door sensor would not work properly and machine would not spin. Not even worth it to fix. Word is that Maytag is made by Whirlpool and if this is true, it would explain the disappointment. We have replaced more Whirlpool appliances than I can count. Never again Maytag!

Two years ago I bought a matched set of Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. Although I bought really liked the front loading and large capacity, I bought them because they were Maytags. I remember my parents grumbling that they couldnt afford a decent washer or dryer like Maytag and had to settle for Kenmore or some other brand that they figured was inferior. I noticed that they struggled through 20-25 years of maintenance free use of their inferior appliances. So when I found a pair of Maytag, I thought I had finally arrived. I was 60 years old and I knew this would be the last washer and dryer I would ever have to buy.It is now 2 years later and we developed dryer problems. The repairman found the computer malfunctioning and suggested it would be cheaper to replace than to repair. We asked him to check the washer while he was here and his diagnosis was similar. The drum bearings were gone and probably too expensive to repair. The Maytags are now in some scrap yard and I now have an inferior washer and dryer and I am looking forward to many years of maintenance free struggles. I used to think that Maytag repairmen are the loneliest people because their machines were reliable. I now know that they are lonely because all of the Maytags are garbage and not worth fixing.

I purchased a new Maytag washer (Model# MVWC565FWO) from LOWES 18 months ago and the paint is bubbling on the inside of the door. Neither Lowes nor Maytag would do a thing. We have spend many $1000s at Lowes and considering the replacement cost is only $126 for a new door I can see Lowes following Sears for their lack of customer service and diplomacy in matters like these.

Maytag Model MDB7749SBW: Lights on control started flashing even when not it use, cycle lights varied, dishwasher would start on its own. Stopped at dealer and he said he never heard of problem. Checked online and found problem identified all over the internet. Called Maytag and they knew of problem and said they would send serviceman out to check. First trip free and parts would be free but I have to pay labor for second trip to repair. Dishwasher is just under 4 years old. Serial F31703877. Problem is corrosion on small flexible circuit at top of door. Same problem as others. Maytag states never been a recall!!! THIS CERTAINLY HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE A FIRE. Will never purchase another Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. Poor quality and lies on the part of company and dealers as well.

Purchased a Maytag fridge in August of 2010. Had issues January 2014 - needed a new circuit board. At the happy cost $230.00. Well it is now May 2014 and had to have the repair man here again for another circuit board $258.64. Maytag will not stand behind their product or parts they use in their products. They flat out told us that we shouldnt have to replace the circuit board that often and then said they wont stand behind it. So buyer beware. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MAYTAG!!!!!

This machine (Maytag Bravos XL) was in our new house and is relatively new. It is the worse machine I have ever owned. I am 58 and cant reach the bottom of the tub to get clothes out. It doesnt fill with enough water to clean the clothes, and repeatedly I have my clothes coming out dirty. I have had to rewash clothes to get them clean at all. Or they come out with grime all over them. I had both a LG and Samsung front loaders in the past, if I could afford it I would throw this Maytag out on the curb! Its a piece of junk.

We bought a new top of the line Maytag MGD7000XW dryer about 2 years ago. It worked great for about 6 months, thing started acting funny. All of the front console lights stay on all of the time and it ONLY dries on high heat now. This all happened after the warranty period. So fine, I was going to buy a new complete front console (CONSOLE Part Number: W10388467 $300.) as the online repairman suggested. Guess what, Maytag no longer offers the part to fix my dryer. So now I have a 2 year old top of the line P.O.S. MAYTAG dryer that cant be fixed. I will never buy from this company again (Maytag).

Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW3 - Control panel problem just like everyone else describes. Bought in Nov 2014... how disappointing!! My husband is sure he can fix it if I buy the part. I went online to order the control panel, and of course because Im in Canada I cant ship the part directly from the website, I have to call the Canadian Sears Part Dept., its about $200! As I came across all these reviews I am even contemplating if I should waste our time and money trying to fix this thing... Maytag never again!!!

My microwave is just 3 yrs old. SE error. Yeah, what a crock...Such junk. However, if we would just manufacture everything in the USA not only would we get better quality, but we would have more jobs. USA stop selling out to cheaper countries and pumping out more volume for less overhead.

Re: refrigerator model # MBF2258XEB1. The above-referenced refrigerator was purchased in 2011 from Home Depot. We paid over $1,000.00 thinking we were buying a good product. Right now the bottom freezer is working but the refrigerator is not cooling. An appliance repairman cleaned out the defroster part, but that did not resolve the problem. He said it was a compressor/valve gas line problem. I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to have this repaired. Even though the warranty has expired, I believe that Maytag should pay the cost of the repair. This is VERY inconvenient and frustrating.

I wish that I had looked up reviews before purchasing my washer 6 months ago! No matter which setting I use, the washer never fills up with enough water!! I have pulled clothes out that havent even gotten wet, due to not enough water in machine! All due to the government regulated water levels on the sensors!!!! So, I had my plumber put in hot and cold water faucets, then he put a short Y hose on, so this way I can add water to the machine.... The only thing is, you have to wait for the machine to fill with what it thinks is enough water to get your load clean.... stop the washer, then add the water you need. But if it reaches a certain point, it will automatically start draining. So you have to watch and make sure you stop adding the water, before reaching that point!

The ranges are getting great but are more so with digital than buttons and knobs which they should still have, especially for the handicapped and some elderly who prefer them. It would help prevent injuries. It was hard for me to find the knobs.

The dishwasher is very stylish and looks great in our kitchen. I do wish there was a small knife drawer in top. It cleans very well and is super quiet. I would highly recommend this dishwasher, good value.

Machine (Washing machine front loader model # MHW 5500 FC1) purchased August 2017. From the start Service Dept USA told me to unplug and re-plug anytime I had a problem as this problem started right away right after installation. In January it was getting stuck on the spin cycle. Unplug and re-plug to no avail. MAYTAG DO NOT have their own technicians just so you know. In the my area they use two subcontractors. In January they sent out the first sub-contractor from Appliance Wizards. He is a one man operation I later found out. As soon as he saw that I had a stacked washer and dryer he told me that this was my problem. He pushed a bunch of buttons on the machine, obviously re-setting the motherboard in a different way than unplug and re-plug and told me that there was nothing wrong with my machine. Not true. Machine was getting stuck again. Called Whirlpool service USA again. Told them not to send the same company. This time they sent JC Service. Excellent company. Kyle came out, identified that it was the motherboard. He claimed that they had other consumers with the same problem but that MAYTAG has corrected the problem and he went ahead and ordered a new motherboard. Waited 8 days and Kyle and another serviceman came and installed the new motherboard two days ago. Yesterday I put in my first load and the whole machine went dead. Kyle came again. He claims it is the motherboard again and he ordered a new one. I called Whirlpool service USA and spoke to Tina. All I wanted them to do is to ship my now, third motherboard quickly by courier so that I would not have to wait another 8 days without a washer. Her resolution was to extend my warranty by 6 months. I advised her that I had purchased a 4 year warranty but if they did not fix it so I can use it, even a ten year warranty would be of no use. So then she went and started reciting THEIR RULE OF LAW with regards to their protocol and told me that if needed they will replace my motherboard as many times as needed. She would not address sending the motherboard quickly. I asked for a supervisor several times and finally she agreed to put me through to the supervisor. She was worst than Tina. She agreed to check with the parts department and if possible she would ship it out by courier. I asked her to keep me on hold while she checked. She came back saying that they were not answering and that IN FACT they could not ship it out expeditiously. So, IN OTHER WORDS, SHE WAS LYING TO ME TO GET ME OFF HER LINE!!!! I asked her to give me the e-mail address of the EXECUTIVE OFFICE for Whirlpool. She claimed that she did not have their e-mail address and that the only way to communicate with them was by snail mail. I checked the internet and found a telephone number for the Executive office in Mississauga. I called them. The menu asked to push 5 for... get this... CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE... I pushed 5, followed by a bunch of beeps and a busy signal and disconnect. I tried 3 times. So there you go. This is their way of giving you a Customer Experience. Then I found a number for the Executive office in the USA. I was able to reach Latisha from the executive team and she assured me that if I were a USA resident she would have that motherboard shipped to be by courier right away. Because I am in Canada she was going to contact them to give me a call but that now I had to wait till Monday. 4 days to get back to me from Canada. Yet when it comes to service and parts, everything is arranged in the USA and everything comes from the USA because it is more cost effective for them. Who cares about the consumer. By then the motherboard will have left three days to arrive. 7 days take away 4 equals 3, take away a day for courier, depending on what time they call me on Monday, otherwise you have to take away two days, and then it will be all for nothing. But again, they must have so many complaints at the EXECUTIVE LEVEL, that they cannot call right away. So folks, note that Whirlpool has not recalled these machines with a defective motherboard, they are still selling them to unsuspecting consumers. They are not making an effort to send them out quickly or keep some in stock locally. BUT THE WORST OF ALL IS THAT THEY ARE REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARDS WITH OTHER DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARDS!!!! This is outrageous!!!! I shall update my review once I hear from the very busy executive office for client care, and again once the new motherboard goes in. MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER - Biggest mistake I have ever made, like all the other complaints, washer does not clean the clothes. This washer and dryer are in our vacation home. Only used on weekends we are there, now the washer is broken, will not spin and UL light comes on, even with no clothes in it. DO NOT BUY!!! Like others have stated, we need to start a class action lawsuit against Maytag for fraud and knowingly selling junk.

My five year old refrigerator freezer was leaking due to a corner filler part left in the the freezer compartment that lodged over the drain hole in the freezer. It cost me $232.90 to have a repair technician dig it out. MAYTAG accepts no responsibility for poor inspection, workmanship or quality control and they will not reimburse my fee.

Do not buy this refrigerator!! It’s small on the inside but to top it off the vent is on the left side, not in the back, so everything freezes on the left side of the refrigerator. Plus they positioned the light right in the front at the top so you cannot put a gallon of milk or anything tall. Not orange juice, apple juice, nothing!! Horrible design. I’ve had the repairman out, he said he couldn’t do anything about the freezing on the left side unless he turned the temperature up on the fridge and on the freezer. We tried that & The ice cream was so soft, almost melted. The problem then was the temperature was too warm for milk and other items. Not a recommended temperature to keep cold items. He said I would have to keep everything away from the back & the left side to use it without freezing my items. I’ve lost a lot of food because of this. Very unhappy with this refrigerator!!

Maytag Microwave MMV4205DW-1 - This microwave made it one year and one month before the door would no longer latch shut and the control panel stopped working altogether. Called Maytag and was told not under warranty. It was going to cost more to repair than to purchase a new microwave that was a different brand.

I purchased a front load washer over 2 year ago and the bearing on it has gone bad. Maytag jumped at offering to ship the parts to me at no cost (which at the time I thought was great). I waited 3 months to finally get the part, because it was on back order, and now was just hit with the labor bill! If I would have known a brand new washer was going to go bad after 2 years and cost me over $500 to repair, I would have gone with another brand, In fact, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool. We purchased a Maytag refrigerator, model #mf12269veb on 2/1/12 and for the past few months it has been leaking water out of the bottom freezer unto my floor and ice is forming inside the bottom of the freezer. I have read many complaints about this and if there is any recourse to this problem please let me know. So disappointed with this appliance.

Thats right. We bought it in September 2010, and it worked fine for two years. This week, our Maytag (Model: MDB7609AWW2) simply stopped turning on. The appliance repair guy pointed out that Maytag has a horrible record which the new owners (Whirlpool) do not seem to be concerned with because even though they know these electronics are dying very quickly, the replacement parts are exactly the same (unchanged). The cost to replace the suspected failed parts is somewhere around $250. The repair guy just said, I can do it, but its going to break again. His suggestion is to shop for the cheapest dishwasher out there since even the most expensive ones fail so quickly. This particular model has a huge amount of the same complaints.

Just like all the other reviews, the control panel on our 3-year-old dishwasher stopped working. The obvious defect of the product and lack of customer support is unreal. We ended up replacing the Maytag with a Frigidaire. Hopefully it lasts more than three years.

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

Bought mdb7609aww2 dishwasher in 2010. Now I cant use it as it will not start even though the panel lights of my selected wash cycle work. I looked up on internet how to reset it, but I only get a half cycle. Called customer service and for $269, I can get it fixed and get a one-year warranty. Wow, what a deal. Might as well get a new dishwasher. Joining the lawsuit. I bought the newest most energy efficient Maytag model M9BXXGMYM00 (for about 1K) from a local appliance store and after 9 months it wouldnt freeze. The local store picked up and left a loner for the fridge and made repairs in shop returning it in a week - great - except that approx. 11 months later the fridge again wouldnt freeze. The store sent repairman who charged 125$ to tell me it had leaked its freon again and would need repairs which were no longer covered under 1 year Maytag warranty. I asked the store to back their work but was only given a refill of the freon and half off the service visit. 2 months later the fridge is not freezing. I know because the repairman and store owner Mike told me that it had freon leak and that Mike himself had made repairs to the leak that the unit wasnt repaired.I have read that freon is toxic and can be hazardous to people with heart conditions and a list of bad effects. Maytag will only send someone to repair unit for a service call charge plus the repair charges and will not replace a defective unit. I can take the appliance store to small claims court over faulty warranty repairs but probably not the health risks - which are disputed by the experts. Ive read reviews and have heard from people who have appliance issues that the companies basically use a defective unit as a cash cow sending repairmen back again and again and never fixing the problem making a lot of money off of frustrated people who have bought a lemon from a company who doesnt back their product or their work. I was only looking for a decent refrigerator and paid plenty for one. I now have to get rid of a nuisance or pay to fix it - probably more than once and spend lots of time getting through the court vs. store owner process for any of the 1000 bucks lost on the defective toxic junk I got from Maytag.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer with the new stainless tub and the bottom agitator. It also has a clear glass lid. Mistake. I can see the action of the washer thru the glass lid and it definitely doesnt wash the clothes very well. They just stay in the same position and the bottom clothes get agitation but the tops ones just sit there. The towels especially smell musty after they have been washed. Probably because they dont get agitation. The water level is so low that the clothes barely get wet. It was a good idea of the company to save water and electricity. But they must not have thought about getting the clothes clean. If I could I would get rid of this machine but I wouldnt want to subject anyone else to this type of washing machine. I would feel badly selling it knowing that it doesnt get the clothes clean. So I would never suggest getting a Maytag washer with a glass lid because you dont want to see what it is not doing.

We bought this brand new washing machine just 6 years ago. Went with a Maytag because they are supposed to “last forever”. Ha! Last weekend it stopped spinning. Water would drain but no spin cycle. Had a recommended repair person come out and he said it was unfixable. The bearings were shot. This is crazy. There are only two of us using this machine how could it be totally unfixable 6 after only 6 years. The average washing machine life is supposed to be 14 years. No more Maytag for us.

Great appearance, great job on getting our clothes clean and dry. Good dryer cycle choices and output. Good washer cycle choices and output 98% of the time, BUT, sometimes the washer needs a do over about once in 50 loads. Overall, two thumbs UP.

Maytag 765 Washer - What a disappointment after having a Maytag set for 2 decades only to get a new one that isnt worth much quality wise. 2 new washers in 2 weeks due to a ratcheting noise that they both have. The solution??? Have a third service call only to hear, replace it (which we did) or replace the transmission. The 3rd call coming up will be the same. What good is a new transmission going to fix it when the last 2 machines had New transmissions. Quality??? I dont think so. Oh, I had to buy the second replacement in order to get credit for the first one. This was at Lowes. Is there even a quality washer out there anymore?

Bought a French door Maytag with freezer on the bottom. Ice build up on the bottom of the freezer and it has ruined my floor. We are replacing the floor in the kitchen. It is only a few years old. They have horrible customer service and will not replace anything.

I purchased a Maytag quiet series dishwasher (Model Number: MDB6759AWW) for $500.00 in May 2009. Three months later, I started experiencing difficulty with the control panel. One light would continue to blink and it would not do anything else. I called to have it repaired but by the time he was to come out, it started working again only to stop working again the next week. On 7 Oct 09, the repairman came out and replaced the panel. Then, about six months later, it stopped working again. I called again but canceled the appointment because it started working again. Then, after having it for one year, it stopped working again and I called only to be told that it was no longer under warranty. Now, we cant get the control panel to do anything. From all the other similar complaints I have read, it seems like there is a defect with the control panel. A dishwasher should last for more than one to two years. This is very frustrating.

For the first time I bought a new washing machine in order to have one that lasted. Bought a brand new Maytag Front Loading HE washer model MHW3505FW1. Controls stopped working and the machine turns on and off by itself. Its either a faulty control board or computer, either of which are going to be more than a $400 repair. So more than half of what we can pay for a new machine. Maytag only warranties two parts for more than a year. So in reality, its not worth the repair and I will not buy a Maytag of Whirlpool product ever again.

I purchased this machine (Maytag washing machine model MVWB700VQ0) from Home Depot in December of 2008. When purchasing it I decided to spend a bit more money on the machine, thinking I would get a quality product. For the last two years and 5 months it has only been me and my wife in the house as the kids are in college. Hence, the washer has not been used as much as some would use it. Within the last two and one half weeks the machine started making a horrible growling noise (probably the tub bearing going bad) and then started to leak yesterday. I noticed this morning that there was a large puddle of bleach water coming from under the machine. I called Maytag, which is just a fancy name for Whirlpool, and they basically told me too bad. It is inconceivable that a machine that used to last 20-plus years barely lasted three with only two adults using it. When I owned my previous home in another town the house came with Whirlpool appliances which literally fell apart within 5 years. I wanted to stay away from Whirlpool; however, I did not know that Maytag was owned by Whirlpool. I have received no assistance from Maytag. I am absolutely disgusted with the fact that an American iconic company such as Maytag is producing such garbage. I am going to be forced to figure out and fix what is wrong with the machine myself. However, I do believe this subject should be looked into further and possibly a class action law suit against Maytag for bad customer service since there seems to be quite a few people with issues surrounding this machine.

The dishwasher turns on of its own accord. Sometimes when you get too close to it, once in a while in the middle of the night, and most of the time when you latch the door. It does a great job cleaning the dishes, but to no avail because its always in the middle of a cycle when you need them.

It is quiet and cleans well but thats where it ends. We have had it a little over a year now, after just a few months it started leaking, fixed under warranty. Now one of the upper rack tracks is broken, it was held together with three very flimsy welds, hopefully will be getting it fixed soon. We are going to wait and see what other kind of repair it will need, I think we would have been better off to just buy a cheap dishwasher!

I bought the machine at Lowes. It was cheaper than the regular old agitator washers which should have been a clue. I like the old agitator washers that fill as you put in the clothes. Lowes installed it, turned it on and did not seem to care that although water should have been entering washer, none did. They rushed out. Ok, my water to the washer was bad so it was a simple plumbing fix. Less than 1 year the machine was full of water and would not agitate, spin, drain or anything. It sat full of water. My brother looked at it, fixed the hose that was no longer attached and it worked! Yeah for 1 year almost when again the belt came off, fixed again. Trying to find correct belt is starting to annoy me. I want to take it and dump it. It looks pretty but is nothing but a piece of crap. Maytag, shame on you!!!!

When I attempted to contact Maytag about an issue in my 3 month old washer all I received is an automated email back saying to contact one of the repair places on their website. There was one, so I notified Maytag I would contact them. I contacted them. They said Maytag had not notified them that this was a warranty repair and if I wanted them to come out I would have to pay for it. I have attempted to contact Maytag several times to get this straight. Guess they are trying to wait out the warranty to respond. Will NOT EVER buy another Maytag. Too bad they used to be a good product.

I have been using washing machines for 50 years. This is by far the worse piece of engineering I have ever used! On deep water wash, I would expect my clothes to be covered by water. I actually have to add by hand, four buckets of water and even then the clothes just float on top. The agitator NEVER pulls the clothes down to the bottom of the tub, they just move back and forth. The clothing that sits on top of the water, never gets totally submerged and is still on the top of the pile when the wash cycle is done. I will NEVER buy any MAYTAG product again. Lowes wont help me. I want to sell it, but in all good conscience, I cannot unload this on another person. I cant even feel good about donating it as it does not work...It is Junk!!!! Shame on Maytag for selling a scam. If there was any integrity in this company, someone would contact me and give me a better model.

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

Our first (and last) experience buying anything made by Whirlpool. I bought a matching Maytag Series 2000 washer and dryer in February 2011. By July, the washer was at 747 take-off noise level when hitting the spin cycle. I called Whirlpool, who directed me to their local repair firm. I called them on August 2nd and had a service rep visit on August 9th. He looked a 30-second look and advised that the bearing assembly was shot and that the spin basket required replacing.

We purchased this oven (MER8880AS) as part of a package during remodeling in 2012. I was particularly interested in the bridge element, and in fact, its about the only part of the range Im satisfied with. Our first problem arose when we began using the range in 2013, and I got cut on a sharp edge while opening the storage drawer under the range. We contacted customer service, got a prompt and concerned response, and shortly after, a visit from a technician. Heres where it started to go south: the technician insisted that design as fine and that we were reaching too far into the drawer to open it. He left, saying basically not a Maytag problem and the customer service agent, who had promised to call after the visit, never responded to our calls. Fortunately, we have a good hardware store nearby and my husband and their staff came up with a solution.Burners and oven work okay, though with slower response time than other electric ranges Ive used. Convection feature seems ineffective on this range - I hardly use it anymore, though do use it all the time on my other range. The absolutely worst feature of this range is the Aqua Lift Cleaning System. This is a hoax by Maytag, marketed under the guise of an environmentally friendly system. It does not work, and pre-cleaning doesnt improve the outcome as only portions of oven that are clean are the ones pre-cleaned! If you like to cook and bake, do not buy this range!! Based on this experience, I will never buy another Maytag product, and though Im of the school that expects major appliances to last a long time, I can hardly wait to replace this range!

So far after 5 calls and over two hours spent on calls IMPOSSIBLE to get an answer from Maytag about the correct fill levels of detergent. Consumer support simply do not know and refuse to direct me to anyone or have anyone call that does know answer. WHY SO IMPORTANT? Either you do not get clothes clean OR you damage machine and leave residue on clothes! Neither is acceptable. Using the fill level indicator on Bravos XL dispenser is in direct contradiction to any recommended levels on lids of high efficiency detergent manufacturers like Tide. Per Maytag manual only fill detergent to max fill LINE which is literally about two or three tablespoons of detergent. The lowest possible quantity of Tide per the lines on lid even for smallest load is two or three times the recommended fill level on the dispenser. No one has to be an engineer to know two tablespoons of HE detergent in dispense is going to do same effective cleaning for one shirt or towel as it will with a queen size comforter or very large full capacity load. CORRECT ANSWER DETERMINES IF YOU DAMAGE WASHER OR IF YOU HAVE DIRTY CLOTHES. Googling online there is also no answer. Such a critical answer for Maytag washer to work and clean clothes that is simply not available and documentation is wrong is a huge concern about the viability of this machine and worse their support. Our machine is less than two months old but is obviously over-engineered to the point of just being silly. Tip to Maytag: start selling washboards. More energy efficient, more green except for red and blue bruised knuckles, uses one tenth as much water and users do not need to spend their nest egg savings to buy. Not the first but will be the last Maytag product we will buy. Name may be same but the company is definitely not the company that used to enjoy that name with pride. SUMMARY: Maytag is adamant about using the correct amount of HE detergent OR damage and bad performance by washer and dirty clothes with a detergent residue. With all our best efforts we cannot get what that quantity of detergents is supposed to be. The user manual at best has ambiguous answer. The manual suggest horizontal measure of detergent in tray to max fill level which cannot be right. IF you instead use a vertical measure of how high detergent level comes up to the max fill line the quantity is radically different. It says dispenser holds 3 oz which would be beyond max fill level but nowhere near a vertical fill level.

MFI2670XEMS - I bought a Maytag Fridge MFI2670XEMS in 2012. I dont remember how long it took to start leaking but it wasnt long. Same thing as what most people are complaining about - I also have hardwood floors that are ruined. I just had a kitchen remodel and now I wish the floors werent new. Warped badly under the fridge. It is a constant pain. I have to break up the ice with a blunt object to get it out. I was so excited to get a new fridge. Of course it was on sale, now I know why. I wish I had just kept the old one, at least my floors would look great. Lame.

We got our Maytag fridge approx.18 months ago. There was no trouble the first year and there has been nothing but trouble for the last five months. The freezer started frosting one day which causes temp to get in danger zone - we defrost it with a hair dryer about every week and it has continued to frost up ever since. We have a friend that works for a certified Maytag repair business. He came to our rescue five times and called Maytag hot line for help.Together, they could only suggest that the gasket be replaced. He could not see anything wrong with it but we changed it just in case. Still, the problem continues. When we called Maytag customer service (877-556-57420), we were told that no one has had the problem before us. We just looked online; there are 521 complaints about Maytag. My question now is, how do we get a class action lawsuit going?

My washer (Performance Series 4000) needed new bearings about 6 months after purchase. By the time the parts came in and after the A&E repairman rescheduled because he didnt know how to replace them, another two months had passed. Now, a year later and with no more warranty, the bearing needs replacing again! This washer is only 1 year 8 months old! The first repair cost well over $1,500 but was covered under warranty. There are hundreds of other people with Maytag washers having the same issues! Maytag is well aware of the defect and refuses to take responsibility. I would like to file a class action lawsuit against Maytag. Im in Tennessee. Please contact me. Thank you.

I purchased the Maytag double-oven gas range, Model MGT8775XS, in 2013. The quality of this double-oven stove cannot be understated. Performance? Terrible. Reliability? Awful. My experience was shocking because when I was a kid, Maytag was the ideal for quality and reliability. Those days are over. When delivered in 2013, the ovens did not work. Heating went to 200 degrees and stopped. During the next three years, we had this Maytag stove repaired four times. The most recent repair was in October 2016. A new regulator and igniter cost us $360. Four weeks later you guessed it the ovens stopped working yet again. We sent the Maytag stove to the recycle dump. Its far more valuable as scrap metal.

I purchased a Maytag Neptune Washer in 2006 for $665.00 from Sears. Three years later, the control board broke and I paid $400 to replace it. In 2011, the motor and motor board need replacing which will cost $410.00. We kept getting an LR code. So in 5 years, our repairs cost more than the original machine. Maytag can count on never getting my business again. Im only sorry that I purchased a Maytag dishwasher this Summer.

Bravo XL - This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased! Loved it at first but after a year or so we couldnt wash a full load without error messages. Then we couldnt even wash one pair of jeans without an error message. Called to have it repaired and $300. Later the bearing was replaced and the washer worked wonderfully once again. Less than a year later and we are back to having a non functional washer. Cannot wash anything without the error message. Customer service is absolutely no help. For such an expensive washer and supposedly a good brand, this machine is a real disappointment.

Although we have always had Maytags, this was the first time we purchased a front load washer. The Maytag Neptune washer smells and your clothes stink. We have purchased the most expensive laundry products, washed and rewashed clothes and have no other recourse but to buy new machines again. We will not be purchasing Maytag or Whirlpool. I would give it a minus 5 stars.
