Maytag wont fix new washer. Service person came 3X, but it still wont go to rinse cycle. Last 2X Maytag said service scheduled, but no one showed. MT mgr said cant help & to just keep calling back.

Its a shame that I bought into the Maytag equals quality and customer service falsehood. Same problem as the others on this site and undoubtedly thousands of other consumers that bought a similar refrigerator freezer combo only to discover puddles in front of the unit and a 1 thick slab of ice under the freezer drawer. I contacted Maytag parts and when I described the issue he transferred me to warranty. The warranty department acknowledged this was a known problem and they would supply the part, no charge for the part but I would have to pay the serviceman to install it. They would not however, send the part to me to install. The unit is out of warranty, of course it develop the problem until right after the warranty expired. I plan to examine the drip pan and figure out how to improve on the design myself. I will not replace any appliances with Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore, or any other major appliances from this group of companies... Beware!

Yesterday, the main compartment of the refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer still is working. This unit is 2.5 years old! I have never bought an extended warranty before, but on day one, this unit hardly ever shut off. It didnt seem like the electric bill was any higher but never felt good about the unit. Plus, I hated the ice cubes all over the floor when I pulled out the lower drawer. The monitoring device is in the roof of the fridge and takes up a lot of square footage. Nope, will never buy another Maytag. If their products cant last more the at least eight years, then it is such a waste of our money. Do better! Im writing Consumer Report and the President of the company. Who replaces all the food loss?

Bought the matching washer dryer set thinking would be energy saving and reliable. Two months after warranty ended it quit, press pause/start button, no reaction. Started looking online and found out this is Maytags Frankenstein. Checked obvious stuff like power supply. Wont be buying another Maytag product EVER. Dryer still works but washer dead. Am retired, low income. Cant afford expensive repairs. Maytag ought to be eating this, not the consumer.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in December 2019. The machine started badly malfunctioning in November 2020. By the time I called for service, they told me the 12-month warranty had expired and I needed a new control board put in for $529! I called Maytag and they agreed to replace the board free of charge, but I had to pay $120 for the service call. They replaced the board, and the new board is faulty. The machine will not fill with water, it wont lock, and now it wont even start. This machine is a LEMON!Now they are saying the soonest they can get a tech out is 1/29/21. Meanwhile, I have a mountain of laundry piling up in my laundry room because I havent had a working washing machine for almost a month. I called to complain and demanded either a refund or a new machine--they will do neither. I used to buy Maytag because of the name, dependability, and customer service. No wonder they were bought by Whirlpool. I WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG OR WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. I should have looked at all the 1-star ratings online. BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased this dryer a Maytag Model MEDC200XW3 about 10 months ago. The dryer slowly over time began to take longer to dry our clothes. After watching it work and seeing that the airflow in the tube was not flowing well, I noticed the lint trap was not functioning well enough and over 50% of the lint was escaping the lint trap and plugging up the exhaust vent. I asked Maytag for a service to repair my dryer and explained my findings. The service person on the phone wanted to send me a lint brush. I told her to send a repairman. The repairman said that all lint traps let lint by and said it was my problem. Well today theyre closed and I cant even leave a message. Now I know why the Maytag repairman is the loneliest man in town...

I just bought my first home and after well over 20 years of apartment living and not having my own washer & dryer I was so excited to finally be able to buy one! I decided on the Maytag/Bravos and even spent the extra $100 for the glass top. The high efficiency machine was delivered on August 8, 2016. My kids are grown so its just me; I do one load a week give or take. A week or so ago, I noticed the washer was taking an inordinate amount of time to go from sensing to washing and even longer to get into the washing cycle. This past weekend, it didnt work at all. Just sat for hours with the sensing and washing lights on, without actually washing the clothes. The machine was packed loosely with the correct amount of High Efficiency Detergent in the proper place. I called the #Sears store I purchased the appliance from (Braintree Ma.) and they said there was nothing they could do as it was past 30 days, gave me their customer solutions number which is basically a call center with people who I could barely hear and/or understand. They in turn gave me more phone numbers which seemed to me to be in the same call center. I want to return the 4 month old washing machine that doesnt work and I want my money back. Ive filed a report with the Massachusetts Attorney General Consumer Affairs Department. I will NEVER AGAIN shop at #Sears and I will NEVER AGAIN purchase a #Maytag appliance. I am beyond disappointed in #Sears and #Maytag, both names that used to mean quality and customer service. And if theres a class action lawsuit to be filed, please count me in.

Bought a Maytag front load washer. When it is operating it is very loud. Some parts of the washer are made of cheap plastic. The Optimum detergent dispenser also of cheap plastic failed after 1 month. Disappointed in finding out only the outside metal box was made in America. All inside components are made in China which raised the cost $300 due to recent tariffs.

The range I have works awesome, which is surprising for an electric stove. For being 11 years old I am happy with how it is still holding up. The only thing I would improve is if it was a double oven instead of a single!

I bought my Bravos washer (Maytag Bravos Model # MVWX700XL2) back in 2013. Worst mistake ever, First off the clothes never came out clean, regardless of how diligent I was following the directions on how to use this particular type of machine. Secondly, it started going off balance for every load if I put more than 4 pieces of clothing in. 2 months after having it recently repaired AGAIN for not spinning and going off balance, it is doing it again. It is only 4 years old! I bought it for the Maytag reputation, but now I am doubting that reliability.

Within the first month of purchasing my front loading Maytag Neptune washer (MAH6700AWW) at Home Depot, the soap dispenser fell off. The machine not only leaked, requiring stack of towels to be placed on the floor to keep the room from flooding, but often produced foul-smelling clothes, despite cleaning the machine. On top of that, the delicate cycle stopped working and then last month, the entire control board went! It is past its warranty period, and I cannot afford a new washer for my family of 6. The machine has been discontinued and the parts unattainable. The control board of our dryer (MDE6700AYW) went too, causing buzzing in the electrical connection and burning, causing us to have to shut down the circuits for the machine. Maytag has lost all my respect as a quality appliance supplier. We spent $1700 on the set and the machines have been a nightmare. Please note: we were NOT notified that there were class action suits against Maytag regarding their machines.

I would never buy a Maytag dryer again. It has been serviced 3x since purchasing in 2010.

I really liked my Maytag Bravo X washer. Until, at less than 2 years old, it started having issues. It all of a sudden starting sticking in the spin mode, then it wouldnt turn off even though the cycle was complete. I have to pull the plug out of the machine it to stop from continuously running. I was charged $104 to have a certified tech come out for 15 minutes and recalibrate it and it worked for another month. It started having that same problem again and now, I have learned I need a new control board, which costs over $200, plus labor, over $60. The Maytag service rep I spoke with was very pleasant when she told me she spoke with her supervisor and told me there was nothing they can. So now I dont like my pretty new machine at all, and have to decide if I should stick almost $300 into getting it fixed again, or buy a new washer, NOT A MAYTAG! As I voiced my complaint on the Maytag website I saw that there were many of the same complaints about the faulty control board and am wondering what does it take to get a recall?

Because the design is bad, the refrigerator has to be defrosted once a month. A home filled with Maytag appliances, these are all 4 years old and ready for the trash. Dont buy Maytag, it is crap. They sell for money, not workability. The name has been trashed by Whirlpool. I am a builder and they will not ever see me recommend them, not even to a neighbor I dont like.

I bought this machine in 2013 and within a year it had stopped going through any cycle. It turns off and I either have to restart a cycle or set the machine to rinse/spin. My clothes do not seem clean so I have begun handwashing them before putting them in the machine. I retrieve clothes and find some clothes dry. My towels have worn spots and threads pulled out. I cannot wait till I get a new washer because I am going to put this Maytag Bravos in the backyard and take a baseball bat to this hunk of junk.

I bought the Maytag Bravo XL washer and dryer several years ago after reading many reviews. I like the glass top of the washing machine and the front door glass on the dryer. The dryer is fine its the washing machine that does not perform like the old machines. Whoever came up with the bright idea of saving water by cutting down the volume in your machine to about 6 inches for a good size load probably have never used a washing machine in their life. It does not get your clothes clean and does not get the soap out of a clothing to my satisfaction. Who made this suggestion? Could it be the same branch of government that made everybody use those spiral light bulbs years ago? The fluorescence that give off loads of EMF?

My Maytag is 2 weeks old, and knew from the start I had a lemon. The compressor sounds like a giant freezer. I had the service man take a look at it, and while he was here the compressor did not come on. He pulled the plug from the fridge and turned it back on and still it did not turn on. I asked him to stay till it turned on and he said he could not stay any longer. I waited for him from 2 PM till 7:30 PM. He was to arrive between 3 and 6. Talk about frustration, and I only wish I had read all the reports before I bought this junker. I was so worried I decided to get the insurance for 4 years. The reason the ice forms is because you have no control over the ice. You cant see them and they get stuck. I had a side by side before this, and I can kick myself for not buying a side by side again. I was told to shut it it down when youve had enough ice cubes, to stop it from getting stuck. This ice maker is so big and so hard to pull out and the switch to turn it off is on the inside. So far my only complaint was the humming, but I can see a tough road ahead.

Dishwasher model: MDBH949AWW3. Gradually over a months time lost its control functions and its status display. Ten days ago the last button to fail was the start button and the dishwasher stopped working. Maytag confirmed over the phone that there was no recall on this model. The part costs $190 and is out of stock till end of October 2013. I opened the dishwasher and took a closer look at the keypad. It has the cheapest touch buttons I ever seen. Maytag had provided at purchase time a user guide and a large sheet with a sketchy incomplete drawing (W10142800C) for service use only. I made my own schematics and I built my own keypad for less than $50. You may notice that the info I have on my attached schematics is missing from Maytag/Whirlpool incomplete drawing. My keypad is working fine and will outlast all the remaining parts in that dishwasher. I wish there is an angry lawyer out there with a bad dishwasher like mine that will use this info to sue Maytag. Please give the schematics to any user having troubles with this lousy touch pad.

It doesnt clean as well as the cheap GE model we have at our beach cottage. Also it is very noisy. Disappointing. Will never buy a Maytag dishwasher again.

Ice maker stopped making ice within first month. Repair man came out next day. Said ice maker only makes 7 cubes at a time 8 times a day. REALLY? A $2000 refrigerator only makes 50 ice cubes a day??? Why would I need a refrigerator that size if there was only one of me? Obviously, Ill be keeping a bag of ice nearby.

In December of 2013 I purchased a Maytag clothes dryer model Neptune. In July of 2014, I was hearing a banging sound as the drum rotated. As a mechanical inclined person that I am I removed the top of the dryer and turned the drum by hand. As I turned the drum I noticed that the stainless steel crimped bead around the drum had separated just enough to hit the side wall of the dryer. I was able to bang down the raised portion of the raised bead. This was a quick fix and there was no more banging as the drum turned around. Then in June of this month it started to make that banging sound again. So I removed the top of the dryer and discovered that the bead separated again and then there was a crack that spread to about 1 1/2 inches. I banged down the raised portion again and this lasted for 2 weeks. That’s when I noticed that the crack spread further apart and actually ripped a hole in the left side wall of the machine and froze in position where it would not turn at all. So I reversed the turn of the drum by hand to allow the drum to turn again. At this point I decided to order a new drum which came to $264.00 which included shipping. When it arrives I will replace the entire drum. Being that Maytag/Whirlpool refused to honor their product because this issue happened after the warranty had just expired and the company didnt want to replace the drum. I have never heard of a dryer drum seal bead coming apart in all my experience with repairing an appliance. No I wouldnt suggest purchasing a Maytag/Whirlpool product to anyone. I feel the company should have done the right thing and replaced the drum. In life if you do the right thing all the time, then there would never be an issue with the consumer and corporation. Always do the right thing and you will never go wrong.

Me and my wife bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot. The top half freezes up in a big way and it gets real frosted up I have to pull it apart every 2 months to defrost it. The bottom half starts to get warm if I dont do that. I will not ever buy another Maytag refrigerator again.

Washer knots clothes into unmanageable tangle. Poor rinse leaves soap scum unless rinse extra, thus not conserving water as appliance is supposed to do. Load easily becomes unbalanced and unable to restart machine if paused to rebalance load. Will never buy another Maytag washer or dryer.

When my husband surprised me with a double oven stove I was leery. First Thanksgiving my thoughts were concurred as the 20lb turkey fell from the chinsey rack.....even a cookie tray with almonds fell down.... Unfortunately the lower oven is off by 1/2, no racks work in there. My biggest gripe is that the seller did not exchange it, just tried more racks. Now Maytag will not do anything but allow me to order more racks. This item is a huge piece of junk.

Its about Maytag MDE7600AYW Atlantis electric dryer issues, Nov 2005 model. There is an obvious design flaw. I have replaced the automatic dryer control board twice since 2005. The unit simply never shuts off, or cooks your clothes for 2 hours. Who will recall this unit and fix the circuit? They will not admit their error.

Paid $900 for this side by side stainless steel model 15 years ago. Pros: performance, appearance, simplicity. Cons: none. Only 1 minor repair, and the repairman said this is 1 of only 2 makes he recommends.

I have been struggling with this machine for the last year. Just does not wash. I have tried power wash. Bulky sheets. Double rinse and nothing works. I bought this machine last year from Lowes and its my worst investment. When the load is finished the clothes are still dirty. Actually worst than when they went in. Read the entire booklet to no avail. Hate this machine

March 31, 2013 a Maytag front loader washer series 2000 was purchased. In January an error code E4 and F3 kept stopping the washer. Service replaced some minor part, worked for a week. Then service replaced a circuit board - worked fine for a few months. About June of 2014 the codes came up again. This time Service wants 430.00 for a 700.00 dollar washer to fix a continuing issue. So I decided not to spend the money. I could buy another washer, different brand of course, and try and fix it myself. I removed the top and the bottom front covers. The 3 wires going into the circuit board that was replaced were loose, barely plugged in. The catch all at the very bottom right had derbies and coin in it, cleaned that out. Looked at the motherboard with a magnifying glass. It had no bad solders, cracks or burn marks, so I proceeded to run my hands around the entire drum inside... and in the back side where you can’t really see were some more loose wires.... tightened them. Now with the spin rpms you can understand how things shake loose, I always look for the common sense issues.... I am currently on my third wash load. It runs smoother and quieter than it did when it was first installed. Point is the Maytag service sucks and with only a year warranty from the manufacturer. What did I have to lose to try and fix it myself. I am sure this is happening with a lot of other people. The odds of a motherboard or a circuit board going bad in such a short time made no sense. So check all the wiring FIRST. Make sure everything is securely plugged in. I would not recommend anyone buy a Maytag or Whirlpool (owns Maytag) for their reliability or service.

We had a house built in 2007 and bought all new Maytag appliances - washer, dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. Consequently, we spent many thousands of $ and Maytag made much money from our purchases. In the 7.5 years since we have been using these appliances, the dishwasher already had to be replaced, as fixing it would have cost just as much as buying a new one. But its the range that I am so angry about. I have replaced the igniter 3 times since 2007, and last night, it went out again. I have spent $494 so far to keep replacing the igniter and once I make the service call to replace it AGAIN, it means I will have spent approx. $700 to keep fixing an appliance that is only 7.5 years old. Maytag says the warranty on the appliance is only for 1 year and will not budge on giving me a break on cost of parts and/or service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase anything Maytag or recommend Maytag to anyone.

I bought a new refrigerator and when I plugged it in would not cool. I called and the authorized tech came and said the compressor was bad and the evaporator was rusted and hoses were greased up. I have now been informed that the warranty was void because it was put in a dental office and not a single home. I said since it was never used I would put it in a house. They said it was void and I was out of luck. I always thought maytag sold good products but this has convinced me to never buy a product from them again. It never worked and the tech said it should be replaced but they said he should never had told us this.

Recently purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer from our local Home Depot June 2020. The appliances were finally delivered in August. When both appliances were installed, the installers made sure the washer was working properly and there were no leaks. They did the same for the dryer to make sure it was working properly. When the dryer was turned on however, the motor blew up and there was smoke coming from the dryer! I am now sorry I purchased Maytag. I had narrowed my choice between purchasing Samsung or Maytag. Im now thinking I should have gone with Samsung. Im supposed to receive another dryer today. The washer works, however its very, very loud. For the amount of money I paid, I hope these last for a while.

I bought this machine because it has a (deep water wash), which means there is a lot of water, enough to cover the clothes, at least I thought so, the salesman seemed to think so as well! But no, it does not come close to covering the clothes, false advertising! I must put my clothes in a large bucket, soak the clothes with water, then bring the bucket to the washer and empty it into it, because of the weight of the water, the machine adds almost enough water to cover the clothes.Another big problem with this washer is the fact that if I lift the top in mid-wash, while I do something, not wanting to listen to the irritating sound it makes in my apartment, after 10 minutes it starts to drain and there is no way to stop it, I must wait until it completely drains and restart the machine. This machine has the stench of government on it!!! My advice, keep your old machine.

Top rack fell off with load of dishes. Clips that hold rack to slides broke. Week for repairman, two days for parts, week for repairman. No repairman, call parts be in on 7/28 2014, repairman on 7/31/2014. ONLY HAD DISHER FOR A WEEK, NOW IT IS BROKE. WHAT A RIPOFF.

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL assuming that because of the brand name it would be a great machine. WRONG. This washer is truly awful. Every single load of darks comes out covered in soap scum. I always have to rewash every dark load with no soap for a full normal cycle in order to get the scum off. My whites are probably also scummy but often I just throw them in the dryer as I cant see the scum. Its just a very, very poorly designed machine that obviously wasnt tested before they started manufacturing and selling it. Its criminal how Maytag continued to sell this piece of junk, and Ill never trust their brand again.

First failed after 16 months. Second twice in 15 months. They are lucky to last 16-24 months. Stupid for a microwave that normally last 5 plus years for every other brand I ever bought.

This Maytag washer and dryer are far more superior than the units I had before. It is also made in USA which makes me feel like it will not fail me as soon as the others. The agitation when washing anything is something else I love. I will buy more Maytag in the future.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher in July 2013. In October 2014 it stopped working. None of the buttons on the control panel would light up. The service technician diagnosis was that it needs a new control panel at a cost of about $200.00. We chose not to do the repair since the technician recommended against it.

Maytag MVW823OHC SLATE washing machine, $1050 plus warranty $169.95 on 05/27/21 not delivered until 06/25/21, error code on 09/19/21. It is 11/03/21, machine is not working and no part available. Sad.

I have a Maytag dishwasher MDBH980AWQ10, within the 1st month of owning it there were issues. Now the electronic control panel is shot, dishwasher wont turn on. To replace it...almost the cost of what I paid, warranty has run out. In the last 7 years we have had problems with 5 various Maytag products, replaced our Maytag dishwasher which lasted 20 yrs and Maytag washer & dryer that lasted 30+ years and ran without a hitch. Maytag has not been helpful at all and their authorized service repair. A&E Repair Service is a bigger scam than they are. It is a waste of my finances and time to buy major appliances every 5 years. Each and every one of their new appliances has died shortly after all the warranties have run out. Im beyond frustrated, disgusted, and financially drained. It does not pay to be brand loyal to Maytag for they are no longer respectful nor appreciative of their customers. I would love to give corporate the opportunity to enjoy the same products that are in my home...in their homes...as well as the experience of their customer service. Last Maytag purchase for me! Is there anything that I can do in the meantime so Im not stuck with their lemons?

Bought in July 2015, brand new from Lowe’s or Sears. When working to its full potential it never cleaned clothing very well, had no designated spot for detergent or softener, just bleach. Just last 3 years and it’s a piece of crap that has to be replaced. Going to argue with the company to tomorrow to get them to replace the broken transmission which may or may not be considered part of the drive motor - all **. This is a very expensive machine that didn’t last a month beyond 3 years! The 10 year warranty covers the 2 most rugged parts of any washer... the agitator never truly cleaned my clothes and now it is fused to the wash basket and cannot even be replaced without being chiseled off. Worst machine, purchase, and brand ever???

In 2007, we bought a Maytag Neptune Washer Dryer Combo from Lowes. By 2008, the washer started stopping operation at every rinse setting, requiring someone to constantly monitor the machine to assure that the button was pushed to fulfill the entire cycle. We called a repair company and were told that the machine was shutting down because the screen in the water intake was getting clogged with debris and was making the machine feel that the water was shutting off. Thus, according to the repair man, the machine was shutting itself off. He showed me how to clean the screens in the intake line and charged me about $150 for the service call. Within a week the machine was doing the same thing again. I pulled out the screens and they were clean. We continued to watch over the washer whenever it was doing the wash and continued to push the button to restart the machine. We live in a very rural area and there are really no repair services available without paying enormous fees just to get them to make a call and the wait is often more than a week.Shortly after the intake incomplete cycle problem, the washing machine stopped getting the water out of the clothes in the spin cycle, forcing us to wring out the clothes before putting them in the dryer. Then we noticed that the washer was leaking from the bottom rear all over our hardwood flooring. We went out and bought a new washer dryer based on reading consumer reports.The cost to replace this piece of crap from Maytag was in excess of $1600. We are only in this house part of the year so this Maytag product not only did not work very well over the short time that we owned it, but it was only being used for a few months out of the year. We have since learned that there was a class action suit over this product line and would like to know how to join the suit. We are so far out in the woods that we will not get our new washer / dryer until some 2 weeks out from our purchase. We have spent nearly $3,000 since 2008 on washer dryers, an average of $1,000 a year.

Maytag model #MDB6949SC, purchased Feb 22, 2015. In early May plastic parts from the top rack wheel assembly broke. Assembly unit replaced at no cost through the 1 year warranty. (cost = time and effort to arrange replacement with repair person). Same parts broke again in November - replaced at no cost again under warranty. Warranty expires in two months. If past performance indicates future performance, this part will need replacing twice a year at ~$140 per visit or $280 per year. Not a good thing. Called Whirlpool and with several calls and emails. They offered an extension of a year on the warranty. I think using plastic for this wheel assembly unit is a design flaw. Would not recommend this dishwasher.

I have been buying Maytag washer & dryers for 40 years. Have always been satisfied until now. The first 2 sets of washer & dryer were great. Very little ever went wrong. Now I have purchased another set approx. 3 years ago. As of today, I will be putting approx. $300.00 in repair to the washer. Repairman said it is a bad design. It is the second time for the same problem, which was repaired a year ago! I will not buy another Maytag product if they cannot be reliable. I should not have to pay $300.00 in repair for a 3 year old washing machine. I am very disappointed.

Had this model MDB7749SBM1 for almost 3 years and paid over $700 for it. Thought I was purchasing a good machines. The last few months the control panel pops out and away from the front door panel. Do get it back. You have to unscrew the panel from the door. Inside is all plastic and broken. How can it be broken when it is an area never touched. Every time you open the door after a wash it pops out again. To get it repaired will cost too much. It is a badly designed unit which should have a latch instead of just pulling out.I am so disappointed and will think twice before buying Maytag. I have never had luck with any Maytag dishwasher lasting. At this point I dont know whether to just buy another brand or glue it. We are not keeping our home so I dont want to invest money. Awful machine and I see it is discontinued so there are a lot of complaints. Thanks for sticking us Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo xl washer & dryer for $1600 in May 2017. Sunday, the user interface panel went out in the washer. After an $85 diagnostic visit, we were told it would be $500 to repair and take an additional 5 days. My husband is recovering from major knee surgery so I was short on choices. I elected to purchase a new speed queen and will never purchase Maytag again. The 10 yr warranty tag on the front is useless!

Purchased Maytag washer/dryer in November 2016. Have been dissatisfied ever since. Dryer doesnt dry clothes completely after 90 minutes on high setting. Washer leaves white residue on clothes. Noticeable on dark items. Hardly any water on deep water wash cycle. Bedding just makes a big rolled ball. White powdery residue doesnt come off easily. Rewash, dryer, brushing. Ruining my clothes. Service has been out and they dont appear to know how to correct problem. Maytag doesnt know what problem is and their engineering staff hasnt provided any information on how to fix. Maytag seems very disinterested in helping. They just thank you for being a loyal customer. Not anymore. The attached pictures were taken March 11, 2018.

Bought this as W/D set brand new from Home Depot. Had been noticing incredible wear and tear on clothes, as things get so tangled up and need to be practically ripped apart before going into dryer. Cycle times are crazy long, up to over an hour in some cases. Doesn’t have a “Speed Wash” cycle. But WORST of all, after less than 3 years, it just stopped draining properly. Tried all the Codes test, etc. Finally called a repairman just to be told repair costs would probably cost more than the machine is worth. $125 to be told we ought to just buy a new washer. Not happy.

I have been trying to solve the issue with my washer, that my parents bought me for my new home. Home Depot, where they were bought, came out twice, and all they say is there is nothing wrong with the washer. There are plenty of things wrong with the washer. It doesnt clean the clothes. I have to use the heavy wash cycle, to try and get the clothes clean. Maytag wont even deal with the situation. The fight has been going on for over 2 years (washer serial # is CY4744432 manufacturers number is MVWC6ESWWI).Not sure if I should just give up. Im really tired of fighting with Maytag and Home Depot. I hope you can help.

Mine is a Maytag wall oven and I purchased it because I had a Maytag Range in the house before this and loved it. It is a very accurate oven. I would rate its accuracy with the Thermador wall oven which is one of the most expensive ovens. It heats quickly and stays within the range of temperature you are using. Everything comes out just right. I like going to a Maytag dealer who knows a particular brand or brands not a large dealer of many brands. Always do some homework since brands can change over time with who owns them and who is manufacturing them.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago through Home Depot and did not purchase the extended warranty. The start button has stopped working and is not lighting up. I was referred by Pacific Sales, the appliance sales company at Home Depot, directly to Maytag to schedule repairs which I am willing to pay for. After a nearly hour long call between hold times and conversations I was told the service would be scheduled for Thursday or Friday of this week. As we were scheduling the appointment, I was told the computer for scheduling had gone down and to call the next day to schedule. I called next day and spoke with a customer service rep who said there was no record of my call the day before. I gave her all of my information, then she transferred me to another service person who then had no record of my two prior conversations. After giving my info to the this 3rd customer service representative, I learned that a repair could not be scheduled for over a week. I asked to speak with someone about my complaints and was told there was no one I could speak with but that she would pass on the complaint. I asked for a return call or email to confirm that my complaint was received and she said that I would not get that. I then asked for a free service call because of their poor customer service. This was of course denied. The dishwasher has been fine for the short period of time I have owned it but I wont buy another Maytag because of their poor customer service and because the dishwasher has a problem in less than two years. I am just writing this as a warning for other potential Maytag customers.

This Maytag Bravos is the worst washing machine I have ever had. Who ever heard of washing with almost no water? Takes way too long. Clothes not clean. Any water savings way offset by ridiculous length of washing time. I can wash and dry a load of clothes in an old stacking washer/dryer before one finishes washing in this thing. I was excited to get it and now cant wait for it to go. Wont make this mistake again.

We purchased a Maytag Top Load 5.4 cu ft efficiency washing machine. May 2019. It was making a funny noise already mid October and we had 8 parts replaced. After that it completely stopped working. We have been without a working washing machine for 2 months now. The technician has been to our house 4 times. When he came on Dec 31st to replace the mother board, that didnt solve the problem. He says the washing machine can not be repaired. We have been fighting with Maytag Canada and Lowes since the beginning of December. Neither company cares. We will never own another Maytag product. The company are crooks.

In April 17, 2015, I purchased another Maytag microwave but wanted the convection oven too from Home Depot. The convection fan quit working in January 2017. I called Maytag to ask how this was covered. Maytag only has 1 year warranty on parts and labor. So basically if you dont buy an extended warranty, you are stuck with a product that quits working. Apparently, Maytags work is only good for 1 year or they would have a longer warranty. I told the Rep this when I spoke to him. He told me they normally last 5-7 years. Wow, still not acceptable. He said I had two options. Maytag could send out a repairman and it would cost almost $300. The other option was just as ridiculous. I told him I paid almost $500 to start with and it only lasted 21 months. Of course he said if I had bought extended warranty it would have helped. If I paid $500 for an oven, why should I have to pay more to cover their bad workmanship?!! I am very disappointed in the quality and price of this convection oven. The bad thing is I bought all new Maytag stainless steel appliances in 2016 to match the convection oven. The products I replaced had been in my home for 12 years with no problems.

Model MBF 2258XEW3. I am very annoyed with this fridge. Never will buy a Maytag again. I went to this site to see what the problem with my fridge was and read that I am not the only one with this problem. From the beginning it never worked right. Often the food in the fridge got ice crystals in them so I had to up the temp. This made the freezer not cold enough so I had to lower the temp again. This is a constant affair. Now the bottom of the freezer is collecting an ice sheet or a water bath that has to be removed every other day so that it doesnt built up or leak out. Will have to buy a new fridge. But now I am worried that I might buy another lemon.

My Maytag refrigerator, model number mff2557heb, serial number 10375839gv, was purchased in 5/2005. Two weeks ago, this refrigerator stopped working. I called the Maytag technician and then right away came to my house and find out it is the compressor that needs to be replaced. He told me to search if it is under warranty. I searched in the internet Maytag compressor warranty and I found it and then called the Maytag representative. I told them I have found in their website that compressor of this Maytag is covered for 10 years but labor is not included. Then they asked me to fax it. I faxed the copy on 6/20 and they responded on 6/22. He said they received the copy and he said, Yes, it is covered for 10 years but you will shoulder the labor. So to make the story short, this Maytag representative scheduled Friday, 6/29 for the Maytag technician to fix my refrigerator. My husband did not go to work yesterday, 6/29, Friday, so he will be home for this Maytag tech. Maytag tech came at about 2pm yesterday and when he confirmed that it is the compressor that is the problem, he asked for the warranty paper. And when my husband present the proof, the copy of their warranty coverage that came from the Maytag website, he refused to work with my refrigerator because he said the one in the internet is not valid. It is really upsetting because I faxed the copy of it to them on 6/20/12 and they honored it. Thats why they arranged the technician to come to my house and then my husband did not work for them to work with our refrigerator and then asking me $79 for just saying that it is not covered by the warranty. I even gave them the model number and the serial number of the refrigerator so they can verify if it is covered. He said yes 10 years warranty on the compressor. In fact, two employees that I have spoken to both agreed that it is 10 years coverage except for the supervisor named Rachel. Her employees agreed to 10 years based on the paper that I have faxed them and it came from their website and they dont want to honor it after they sent the technician to my house. Washer Bravo MVWX655DW0 - Maytag has shipped the wrong part twice, sent me the right part which is faulty and the 4th one arrived today. I have not had a washer since 9-16 October 9, 2017. I am writing to tell you about my experience that Ive had with Maytag over the last 30 days. I have owned several Maytag and Amana appliances in the past; along with owning several currently. Over the years, weve had a wonderful experience owning these appliances however the last 30 days is one that has been unbelievable. On September 18 on a Monday early in the morning I called Maytag service line. I spoke to a young lady who had difficulties finding me in the system and did not know how to make an appointment to have a Maytag repairman come to my house to look at my washer. I did not take down her name as I thought and trusted that the company was acting on my behalf and would take care of me.I spent several minutes explaining to her that I did not live in Indiana that I lived in Iowa and that I would need a repairman who is close to my hometown. She continued to give me phone numbers with area code 407 in Indiana and then kept repeating some type of a ZIP Code 49 something for Indiana. I explained to her four different times that the zip codes in Iowa start with a five and the area code would be a 515 number in the area she was looking at. She finally gave me two phone numbers, one that did not work. I asked for a repairperson out of Jefferson. She told me Cranston Repair and gave me the phone number. She told me to call him. I told her that I would go with the Cranston repair since Jefferson with my hometown and it was close to where I lived.I then asked her if she would make the appointment. She told me she didnt know how to make the appointment and she kept messing up with the system. Not sure if it was her first day or not but that was fine so I said “never mind I will set the appointment up myself. I then asked her to double-check to see if our new Maytag refrigerator that we just purchased was registered. She told me she did not see it but all I needed to do was call back the next day with the model and serial number and anybody I spoke to on the phone could go ahead and get that registered. I thought I had registered online; I only wanted to double-check but she didnt see it so I assumed I did something wrong and then would make the call back the next day.I called Cranston repair and scheduled an appointment with the repairperson for the next day Tuesday, September 19. Repairman came the next day on time, looked at the washer and found that the transmission had gone out. I had purchased the washer just shy of two years ago. The repairman said that he would have to order the part and would let me know how long it would take and would return to fix the washing machine. He called from my house and was told that the part was on backorder until October 5. After the repairman left the house I decided to call Maytag back and express my disappointment in the product as Maytag says they stand behind their products and the fact that it was not even two years old and that a transmission would go out. The individual I spoke to this time, Antcwaniqua? Not sure about spelling, listened to my story. She also told me the part the repairman ordered was not correct.I needed part W1 1132267. She said that was a substitute part for the correct part that I needed which was W11035204. I told her that the part number ending in 204 we were told was on backorder until October 5. She said no, the part may show that in the system for repairmen but Maytag can locate the part in a warehouse, it would be shipped in 3 to 5 days. I told her that he had called a place in Davenport, Iowa. What she would do because of all the issues I was having was she would go ahead and ship the part out to me at no cost in 3 to 5 days.I wasnt sure about that warehouse thing. It didnt sound convincing but at that point I had to go along with it. What was shipped out to me was the substitute part W1 113-2267. At this point she told me that I would have to pay to have the part put in; I agreed to that on I want a new washer or I want my washer repaired within 72 hours at no cost. I have not had a washer for 3 weeks plus. Repairman in coming Friday and I am not confident that the 4th gearcase part that came today will work either.

Bought a washer and dryer from Lowes in June of 2016. Have had service on the dryer 3X and washer 1X since. Two person household that uses product a couple times a week. Dryer drum stops rotating / temp control fails / buzzer doesnt work / motor freezes up / washer makes loud banging sound at the end of the cycle every time....sounds like someone is hitting it with a hammer....Today I want a local serviceman to replace the motor but Maytag insists that I have one of their reps come out next Tuesday to examine the product and then go from there. I have been on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get them to pay me $128 for the failed motor that I will send them for inspection. They will not cooperate. They are hiding behind some BS policy. I want to inform you all in case you are contemplating a Maytag purchase. I will not purchase nor will I recommend Maytag to anyone.

Ice maker not making ice, lights on the temperature controller are all flashing, ice/water dispenser door continuously opens and closes, refrigerator and freezer both do not cool/freeze properly. I purchased a new main control and low voltage board at a total cost of $400 and replaced them to no avail. Nothing changed when electronic boards were replaced.

MDBH979SAM0 - Same old. Buttons not working. Control panel out. Repair cost total to be the same as the cost of the dishwasher. Its been over a year since we have extended warranty. Purchased from Home Depot. I am filing a complaint with the Consumer fraud unit of Washington State to get a State Action pursued on this.

This is the 3rd time my Maytag refrigerator has gone out on me and its only 7 years old! Its always the same thing, my refrigerator side starts getting warmer and warmer while the freezer starts forming crystallized ice. Both times its broken down in the past it has been the defrost timer. One service man said Maytag is not the reliable company it used to be and I would be better off buying a brand from Sears (Whirlpool or Kenmore) cant remember. Anyway, each of those services was close to $300 and now Im faced with another service call. We paid $2,800 for a refrigerator we thought would last decades. Well never buy Maytag again! I wish Maytag would own up to its cheap parts and send replacements to its customers with instructions on how to install!

We bought this Maytag dishwasher two years ago with a two year warranty. We paid close to $700. Six months after we bought it, it started having problems on and off. They are including: leaking water, lights going on and off, cycles are not completed. We changed the console once, and soon after that it broke down again, and this time is out of warranty. Total repair times are: 6 times in two years. My husband call the company, asked them if there is a recall for this model? They told that there is no recall. Then the repair person came. According to his repair experience he said this is the common problem and he got a lot of calls for the same problem. If he told the truth about this, then the company was lying to its consumers!!

We bought a Maytag Neptune front loading washer from Bens Maytag in Surrey four years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. There is no screen in the machine to prevent small things (like coins, screws) from going behind the rubber seal and into the pump. As a result, coins frequently block off the outflow to the pump so the machine doesnt drain.We have had to pay for service calls more times than we can count, and have spent more than original price of the machine making repairs and replacing the pump. We now have learned to take off the hoses and open the pump to remove coins ourselves, which we have to do every few weeks! Bens Maytag tells us that its our fault for letting coins go in the wash. There is no accountability for the faulty design of the machine that allows this to happen. We should have cut out losses and thrown this piece of junk out three years ago. We want Maytag to take responsibility for the faulty design of this product and to credit at least our purchase price toward another machine that works properly!

I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

Our refrigerator is 2 years old and still under warranty. The ice maker had to be replaced. Now the water leaks on the floor. The deli drawer cover broke and when you get ice out of the ice dispenser it flies all over and goes on the floor. Our dealer has been fairly helpful.

We bought this Maytag Bravos XL machine in Sept 2016. It has never cleaned the clothes properly, you cant even tell they have been washed! It also shakes a lot. In January it shook so much it knocked a hose off, flooded my kitchen and downstairs bedroom. Home insurance had to pay to replace the kitchen floor and downstairs ceiling. We contacted Maytag. They said they dont have a repair person in our area. Home Depot wont take it back. We are stuck with no workable machine. We have to go to the laundromat and pay 70 a week for laundry, plus the time, and we are out all the money. We paid Home Depot (thousands) for a washer and matching dryer. Plus all the takeout we had to order while they repaired the kitchen, but the strain of this whole thing is ridiculous.

I am only asking for the part (motherboard). I have lots of friends and associates at church, work and social that I have talked to about this Maytag. And I would like to give a good report about the company and what they make and that they stand behind their workmanship. I know for a fact that they have 22 motherboards on hand ready to go out and what I have read online is that many people are having the same problem. I need a motherboard. I believe this unit should easily last over 10 years, so I am not asking for much. I will have it installed myself. I just need the part. I trust that you are a reputable company that has been around for many years and Whirlpool has taken new ownership and they have been around for a long time, too! I hoped the Maytag Maxima would compare to my old Maytag Neptune and it didnt even come close. Very disappointed. Doesnt fill with enough water to even WET the towels and doesnt rinse any of the soap out of the clothes. Been using it since 12/2015. Hate the Maxima. I looked for the brand (Maytag Neptune) which I couldnt find. Settled on the Maytag Maxima which is a complete bust. The Maxima doesnt fill with enough water so Ive had to add water to both the wash and rinse cycles. It has also become very noisy. The repairman has already stated that there is nothing he can do about the lack of water since the amount of water is set in the factory and cannot be changed. The Maytag Maxima is a complete bust for me! Its a front-loader that has me adding water (at least 2 gallons) to every load no matter how small. Wish Id bought a GE top-loader that Ive seen advertised.

Maytag Neptune Washer Drum Bearings have once again failed. Last time, I replace the whole drum via diy, cost was about $160 for the part. Now I see that outer drum is $500 +/-. I just may only replace the Seals & Bearings this time OR just part this thing out and buy a real machine without the Maytag name.

My washer is 3 years old, it sounds as though an earthquake is rocking my laundry room during the addition of water, rinse, and spin cycles. Cleanliness only when washed twice, along with the washer stopping at 12 minutes because of UL signal (unbalanced) - this happens even when I have a small load. The dryer does dry clothes however along with tons of Lint stuck to my clothes. I empty the lint screen after EVERY dry cycle. Have had repairman who charged me $70.00 and said he could not fix the washer.

I have had a few dishwashers in the past, however this is the worst product I have ever purchased. After a couple of years in service I needed a new control panel which cost $200.00. The dishwasher defaults to heated dry and the exhaust for the dishwasher is right behind the copper electrical runs so it corrodes and fries the runs. The way I see it Whirlpool and Maytag saw a unique way to gouge its customers for parts. They also have a rope and plastic cable system that attaches to the door spring that continues to break cost $28.00 a piece, I have replaced two. Now I see that one of the pulley guides (plastic) is broken and split cost??? Here is another brilliant engineering feat, the door panel clips into the control panel so that when the door is pulled in a normal fashion it comes loose. If you buy this line of dishwasher (p.o.s) plan to work on it and buy parts on a constant basis. Here is my advice: buy one control panel, two cable systems, and a couple of cable pulleys or buy a cheap dishwasher as a replacement and save some money. Run from Maytag or its parent company Whirlpool - let the buyer beware.

In December 2017 I bought a Maytag Bravos (w/o agitator) based solely on past experience (56 yrs.) of buying from Maytag without any complaints. A friend told me I wouldnt be happy with my purchase and she was RIGHT! It doesnt get my clothes clean to my satisfaction, my towels are all getting snags as well as silky sheets and pillowcases and dark clothes have a soap scum line on them. I have slightly better luck if I wash everything with the deep water level option but I still need to wash dark clothes a second time without any soap or fabric softener to lighten the scum line.I am very careful to use minimal amounts of high efficiency detergent but that doesnt help. I called Maytag and complained within the first month but then we were gone for the month of February and I just never followed up with them. Now Im sure its too late to do anything. I wish I had listened to my friend. Hopefully I can save another consumer from making the same mistake I made.

I bought a Neptune washer and a dryer. I have had nothing but problems with these items since I got them. My washer keeps giving me a 3e code and will not clean the laundry right. I have used the H E detergent it requires and yet my clothes stink. My laundry smells like mold and mildew. I now dont have my units to wash and dry clothes. I paid almost $4,000.00 for the pair. I dont have the money now to replace them.

Purchased washer March 2017 and had to get it repaired twice by the end of 2018. The top loader even with agitator does not clean clothes very well. The repairman said not to fill the washer above halfway so I can only wash about 4 pair of my husbands heavy soiled work jeans. I won’t buy another Maytag.

Just replaced a washer that lasted over 7 years thru 3 renters with the Bravos top loading washer. There is nothing efficient about a cycle to take 73 mins to wash 20 articles of clothing (t-shirts, socks and underwear). The machine dont wash the top of the load. Also the deep clean feature isnt deep cleaning. I recorded a video of 20 mins of the machine not washing properly before going into rinse cycle. If this item dont produce refunds of the amount of water wasted RE-WASHING and electricity because it doesnt clean on first wash, then its time for Maytag to pay my utilities. For the money spent on the machine, going to the laundromat every other week with 1 roll of quarters each trip comes to be I can wash for 4 years and will outlast the longevity of the machine before it breaks! Also bulky mode is how you get more water in the machine but will take 63 mins to wash.

I have had to replace the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher 2 times in the last 4 years I have owned it. I diagnosed the problem using the serviceman repair manual which is located on the kick plate or lower plate for panel of your dishwasher. This is not one of the dishwashers that is listed on the recall list, but it is on the dishwashers list that Maytag suggested that you buy to replace your dishwasher that is on the recall list. Model number mdbh9898awb3.

less than 2 yrs old and has completely failed to operate. We have been patient with this model. It does roll the clothes to point they are wrapped around and among each other and must be pulled apart before placing in dryer. The wash cycle now takes more than 45 minutes, It fails to spin the load often. Now, it has failed to the point it will not operate with or without any clothes in it.

I have had 2 Geminis. The first one was fine, this second one is a mess. I have had at least half a dozen parts replaced. I have insurance to have this oven repaired but have paid to have the window seal replaced on at least 3 occasions. The top of the oven is so hot that when I have used the burners to cook on top I have received 2nd degree burns. I have received burns on several occasions. I asked dealer if I could trade this in but said I would have to sell it on my own. I would not subject this oven to another person as I feel it is very dangerous.

Below is the message I submitted to Maytag on 5/6/2016 at 10:00 a.m. ET and just received an answer via phone call today 5/9/2016 at 3:30 p.m. ET that Maytag will be doing nothing. Also, my husband has still not received a call about the drum seal and when Maytag can come fix this part that broke in their machine only months after purchase. I will let you read my message to Maytag and you may decide if you would like to buy their dryer after reading what I sent and knowing they will be doing nothing. (Washer works just fine).If this message could be passed onto customer retention and/or management, I would greatly appreciate that action being taken. My husband, and I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer Set from Lowes in (Listed Location) on (Listed Date) (Model Number: MGDC555DW2 and Serial Number: **). The dryers drum seal has already gone bad on one side. We had a Maytag servicer come to our home on Monday, May 2, 2016 to confirm this and said he needed to order parts and we would hear back from him on my husbands cell number in a few days, which we still have not received contact. Additionally, due to the drum seal going bad, a whole load of laundry has extreme tears in the material to the point of being ruined. I have pictures of the clothes/sheets and drum seal, however there is not a location on this contact form to upload them. I have three work shirts, worth around $30.00 each and new bed sheets just bought in the amount of $77.39 which have full threads pulled through them due to the dryer going bad in only four and a half months of normal usage. I am writing to request compensation for my items that are now unwearable/unusable and would be glad to provide pictures and receipts for price of items. We of course have not used the dryer since, which has been a huge inconvenience, especially with no update in knowing when the dryer will be fixed and reusable. I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

Purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 6 years ago and everything was fine until 3 weeks ago when the washer stopped spinning. We knew we were out of the 1 year warranty and contacted a repair service, who told us the bearing was no good. Contacted Maytag who offered in goodwill to pay for the parts and we would pay for the labor. A different repair person came in and told us the washer has no bearings but a transmission, which went bad. They ordered the transmission and today the repair person was in to install it. He installed the transmission, but while trying to take out the old one he dented the drum. According to my husband the repair person banged so hard that it sounded as if something could have been damaged, sure enough it was the drum. Contacted Maytag to see if anything can be done as now we still have no washer, and the repair person was their selection not ours. All we got from Maytag was they are not responsible and there is not much more they can do. I cannot believe the last Maytag product we had lasted over 20 years and this one is less than 6 years with problems. Will not purchase another of their products again.

I too am a victim of the faulty Control Panel that Maytag put on these dishwashers - Model # MDB7749SBM2. $149 for the part and another $149 for service call and labor - almost half the price of what I paid 2 years ago! Should have stuck with the 10 year old builder grade GE I had with the latch door and turn knob! I am in the market for a new stove and microwave - I will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product! When is Maytag going to make good to all the customers out there that have experienced the same issue? If yours breaks it is a very easy fix now that I know. You can order the part and it simply unplugs and plugs in the new one. All you have to do is take the door off and it is right there!

I got a new washer and dryer for my ex wife and son last August. Its October and the agitator broke off. She is not abusive to things and just the two of them dont produce much laundry. This was just poorly built. Maytag should be ashamed to have built such a poor product. I thought GE had the worst appliances, but Maytag must have hired their engineers. I have pictures and it has 10 year warranty right on the lid, lol. Should be 10 months,

Recently purchased a washer from Home Depot. Machine is now on its 3rd repair. The wiring harness is fired. Could have caused a fire. Now they still will not replace and part is on order which will take 4 weeks to be in stock. I called Maytag and expressed my concerns to which they could not help me as every washer is theirs can be repaired. I really don’t understand what happened to making things right. Very frustrated that they will not repair or reimburse for that matter. Please refund my mom and pick it up.

Our current dishwasher was already installed when we purchased this house. It is adequate, however, it does not do a great job with caked-on food. This means that the worst dishes need to be pre-cleaned.

We bought our Maytag dishwasher at Sears about 2 years ago. It has never cleaned very well, we have to rinse everything almost to the point of spotless before we load it. Its a water saver, which means it takes more than 4 hours to fully cycle. Just today, I went to turn it on and the start button does not work. I looked it up and found that this is a common problem with new Maytag washers. This is really irritating, considering we paid a lot more for the Maytag brand than we would have paid for something without the Maytag reputation. Live and learn, I guess; we certainly will not be buying another Maytag.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer, the Neptune series and thought I was getting a top of the line, but now the dryer has quit working and the repairman said it is not worth fixing and it is only about 5 years old. So that is what I am so angry about.

Oven worked ok for a year and went under right day after warranty expired. I called factory-approved repair people in Brooklyn but was told repair would cost more than buy new oven. I contacted factory but got no help either.

I could not get parts for Maytag Model MHWE200XW00 Type 832A as the Whirlpool does not provide after sales service. I purchased the new washer in 2010 and lasted for just 4 years. I believe they guarantee supply of spare parts (Inner Basket, Outer Tub and Rubber Boot) for 10 years and more.

We bought a new Maytag dishwasher MDB7609 as part of the 2010 recall. Within the first twelve months the black skirt at the bottom of the door collapsed to the floor. It was in small pieces and brittle as though exposed to excess heat. The repairman fixed it free but made the point it was not covered under warranty. Next the heated dry cycle baked the water onto the dishes forming a white crusty layer. We have a water softener that works very well. We stopped using heated dry because it is too hot. Last night before bed, I was standing in the kitchen and I smelled something burning. My wife had mistakenly programmed heated dry into the cycle. Obviously this dishwasher is as much a fire hazard as the one it replaced but no recall has been issued yet.

I purchased all new appliances and decided to go with Maytag. My Maytag Refrigerator model MFI2569VEM after 12 months, just after the warranty expired, started leaking all over my kitchen floor. I called Maytag and all they told me was there is no recall on this model and there was nothing they could tell me over the phone. I purchased an extended warranty and that is a whole other problem to get someone out. They said to check the freezer problem I need to call when the leak was occurring, so they could see what is happening. So basically, I need to leave water on my kitchen floor so they could see what is happening. Who hires these people?

We bought a Maytag refrigerator less than two years ago because... its Maytag. Less than a year later we had five service calls. The refrigerator wasnt cold, the freezer was the temperature of the refrigerator and it took two months and two different repair companies to fix it. And now... yes, the same problem seems to be occurring. It was a leak that was supposed fix. Cant bear the idea of going through this all over again. NEVER again Maytag!!!

I have always heard Maytag was one of the best so after replacing too many washers to count in 15 years, like Whirlpool and Kenmore, I decided to spend more for quality. I figured pay a few hundred more once rather than spending $400 for a cheaper one that only lasts 3 or 4 years. That choice seemed environmentally responsible and financially as well. However, I couldnt have been more wrong. In 2016 I purchased the Maytag Centennial top loader for $500. I really loved the size of the tub and the way it looked. I can fit a large comforter in it with plenty of room leftover. I also have no interest in a front loader after reading reviews. So I thought this was going to be great! Well it hasnt been. It has broken 3 times. The circuit board twice and now the bearings are going out in the motor. I fixed it the first two times but now Im done. Im done with Maytag, Aka Whirlpool. I think it will be a Speed Queen for me now. Im hoping it wont be a dud also because they are pricey! It actually scares me to spend that kind of money. I have really lost my faith in most companies nowadays. Customer service and quality has gone out the window. I think about how much this impacts the environment! Its terrible that appliances only last a few years before they end up in the landfill.

The problem with this dryer (MGD7230HW) is the sensors for drying time dont work. The dryer keeps going even when the contents are dry. Have to use manual timer to conserve energy. Not worth the cost.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher Model # MDB4949SDE1 from Home Depot April 30th 2015. This dishwasher does not clean the dishes no matter what cycle you use. After 4 hours and 29 minutes I open the dishwasher to find residue on my so-called clean dishes. Every time I use it I have to re-wash or rinse the dishes by hand before I can put them away.I have spoken with Maytag on several occasions concerning this matter. I have used every detergent on the market. Maytag says you have to use jetdry, and liquid detergent which I did and it made no difference. The latest suggestion was that the water from my water heater was not hot enough which is set on 140 degrees. The customer service rep. ask me how far the water heater is from the dishwasher and I replied approximately 14 foot. She suggested I turn the faucet to my sink on before I turn the dishwasher on so that the hot water is present as soon as I turn it on. This also did not work. They sent a kid out today that turn the dishwasher on for five minutes empty and said well everything seems to be working properly. I dont know what to tell you, yet there is soap residue in the bottom of the dishwasher right now. Do not purchase this dishwasher. It does not clean the dishes. It just uses power and water.

Re: refrigerator model # MBF2258XEB1. The above-referenced refrigerator was purchased in 2011 from Home Depot. We paid over $1,000.00 thinking we were buying a good product. Right now the bottom freezer is working but the refrigerator is not cooling. An appliance repairman cleaned out the defroster part, but that did not resolve the problem. He said it was a compressor/valve gas line problem. I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to have this repaired. Even though the warranty has expired, I believe that Maytag should pay the cost of the repair. This is VERY inconvenient and frustrating.

I am extremely disappointed with Maytag and the representatives I spoke with this evening. One laughed after I told her I was 7 months pregnant and without a fridge for a week after owning it less than a year. I was repeatedly and curtly told, We dont cover that, when I asked only to replace the recent food I had purchased. After having to request a manager several times, I was put on the phone with Dana ID ** who said she would not be able to help with any food despite the delay of a week for repairs to our fridge. However, she could extend our warranty for 6 months.The only reason we were able to get someone out as early as we did was because we knew a licensed Maytag service repair company. Otherwise, we would still be waiting for someone to come out to tell us it would be another week before repairs. The originally assigned service repair company by Maytag did not return our call. There was no concern or empathy from the Maytag representatives that I was pregnant and could have eaten food that was not cooled to prevent bacteria growth that would harm me and my baby.Even their service repair technician recommended to contact them about the spoiled food since it was impossible for the repairs to be completed before the end of the week. We will never purchase Maytag again. The appliance failed with no warning in less than a year, and the representatives made no effort to resolve our issue of being without food for a week.

I need a new circuit board for a $2500 refrigerator. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend when the ice chute started opening and closing and lights on door panel flashed like crazy. I called Maytag, who set up a service appointment for me for Monday. The tech came at 6pm and said there was nothing he could do without a part from Maytag and left. I proceeded to throw out all spoiled food and load a cooler with ice. I called Maytag, and they said it will take about a week to receive the part and have service. I have children in the house, and we live in Miami. I said that I would pay for overnight delivery of the part, and they told me it couldnt be done. I called this morning for a tracking number of the part, and they told me that it wasnt sent out as of yet. According to the internet search, this is a problem with a considerable amount of model number MF12568AES, and I should have been notified by the company. They claim it is a special project, not a recall.

I bought a Maytag refrigerator, model MBF 2256 KEQ2, two and a half years ago. Now the cooling coils are freezing up. I checked heater and thermostat for continuity and they were okay so the only thing left was the timer control circuit. On the earlier models, the timer control circuit is controlled by a Timer Motor or an Adaptive Defrost Timer which is separate from the main Electronic Control Board and much less expensive. On later models (including mine), the timer control circuit is incorporated into the main Electronic Control Board so if your automatic defrost quits working, more than likely you will have to replace the main board. I did not purchase an extended warranty because I believe they are useless from past experience. I bought the part on Amazon.com, received it in four days and replaced it myself for a cost of $78. This part costs $110 to $118 at Sears or a Maytag dealer.

I purchased Model #MHW563HW Frond loading automatic washer a little over 1 year. The options are not for me. The quick wash is way too short 20 minutes, all the rest of the options are 51 minutes to 2 hours & 57 minutes! If you wanted to add some extra minutes to the Quick wash you are out of luck. Normal wash is 55 minutes but can last much longer, it takes forever for this machine to balance which adds time to the process.I had an LG front washer before this one and when the clothes came out they were almost dry, not this washer, they are very wet. Then there is the horrible odor that comes after you use it, Ive tried drying every area making sure there isnt a drop in it. Still the stench is unbearable. Yes it has a Clean Washer with Affresh option which takes an additional 128 minutes and you have to do it at least once a week! Thats a LOT of wasted energy. That just doesnt sound efficient to me, washing the washer. Why??? This washer had great reviews which I read, not one mentioning these issues.
