I bought this range Nov 2019, beautiful range that’s it. Stove top scratches very easily and hard to clean. Oven racks rust, got them replaced on the guaranty they still rust. Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... Sure would like a full refund, I mean 1500. What a ripoff.

Bought a Maytag 4000 series washer and dryer combo for about 2100 dollars in October 2011. Had a professional look at it today since the clothes stayed wet after the spin cycle. Told us it would cost 1000 dollars to repair the washing machine. So a total write-off in barely four years. I am very disappointed.

Angie from WFCC-PREFERRED APPLIANCE REPAIR had the wiring harness delivered to her personal address and then came out and installed it that same afternoon past 5pm to ensure I had a working stove. She explained what had happened with the parts delivery mixups and also delivered a $100 gift card. Very happy to have my range working and all has turned out well. I am a long time Maytag customer and its great to have all my appliances back.

We bought a Maytag Dishwasher - Model #MDB4949SHW a year and a half ago at a Home Depot Location. We had previously had a Whirlpool dishwasher for 13 years of heavy use, with no issues or difficulties. At the time we purchased our dishwasher, there were various different brands on sale, including the one we purchased. The sales rep at Home Depot advised us that although we could get a similar dishwasher for the same price, that this particular model had a 10 year warranty. When I heard that, all I heard was 10 worry free years. MY MISTAKE. I could never have imagined that a company such as Whirlpool would advertise a warranty, that in the end is made up of nothing but false advertising. We ran a cycle during the Christmas holidays, and detected a funny smell of burnt rubber but didnt know what to make of it. I googled the issue and some people had had experiences with perhaps a plastic utensil or some other plastic, being burned by the heating element, so I figured that its what might have happened. I ran another cycle the next day, and the smell was much less prominent so I thought the problem had gone away. The next time we ran a cycle, the water didnt drain. We called in a repair person, and was shocked to learn that both the drain pump and main control board needed replacing. We got in touch with Whirlpool and low and behold, the only items they cover are nonsense items such as the racks, drum, tub...etc....in other words, the parts that are actually responsible for the running of the machine, are not covered, neither is LABOUR. Therefore, in my opinion, their warranty is trash and should not be relied upon under any circumstances. We purchased a new dishwasher just a year and a half ago, and are left with a heap of junk in our kitchen. Our options? Either spend $600.00 to $700.00 on repairs, possibly more, or buy a new dishwasher. When I asked if there was anything they could do to at least mitigate my damages, I was told....Sorry for your inconvenience...but do you have any other questions. I dont have any other questions...but I do have have a comment.... Make your products better....and dont print warranties that are utterly rubbish, false, and only serve to mislead the consumer. Needless to say, we will not be buying any more appliances from this company. Their one and only goal is profit for their shareholders with no regard whatsoever for the consumer. If I could give it ZERO stars, I most certainly would. :)

Besides the fact that it barely agitates or turns over the clothes even on deep fill (which we need every time otherwise a whole HE cycle goes and the top clothes remain DRY), the oh-so-fancy power button stopped working at less than 2 yo! And guess what, because it is not a button or knob, but control panel sensor button you hover over to turn on, the fix is to replace the $400 little control panel box. On a $600 terrible washing machine! We trashed it and bought something else without a faulty button system. Very unhappy. Do not buy this.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator in 2009. The freezer is on the bottom. In the last 3 months weve had to defrost this frost-free refrigerator. The freezer frosts and the refrigerator went into the danger level for foods. A technician said there is a tube from the freezer to the refrigerator that gets blocked with ice and your food is spoiled in no time. I wish I would have read this website before I purchased a Maytag. Hopefully, this will help someone else. I thought that Maytag was a quality name. That was the good ole days and now Im living in the good ole days defrosting a frost-free refrigerator. Beware!

Our washer stinks. We have done all the things suggested by Maytag, and it still stinks. Maytag suggested having it serviced by A&E, but I see on the Internet that they are probably not the best choice (very bad reviews). We called our local Maytag dealer, and they said that there is no fix available. They just stink. We will buy a new washer and will never buy anything Maytag again. I would suggest the same to everyone else.

I would like to start with, my Mother had always used Maytag washer and dryers. Her machines would last 20 years or more. I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer in 2006, since owning these machines have spent in upwards of $1400 in repairs. Some being flood out of tub, mother board blow out a couple of times as well as various other issues. The biggest problem is the awful smell of our clothes, I must wash clothes multiple times to try and remove these smells. I tried contacting Maytag and they dont want to hear my complaints and push me off to purchasing another washer and dryer. Oh, I will be buying a new washer and dryer it just will not be Maytag. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy another Maytag. This is not the same company my Mother knew and trusted.

This washer is no better than a glorified garbage can. Maytag AKA Whirlpool should be ashamed to put their name on this product. Like others before me on this website my washing machine sounds like a jet is taking off in my basement. When I contacted a serviceman, he told me the drum seal is broken and the bearings are shot. I have the machine since April 11, 2011. Not even three years to date! I do not have an extended warranty so shame on me to believe that a 900.00 machine should last well beyond 3 years. Unfortunately, I am getting the run around from Whirlpool as all of you have experienced. This is criminal. Not only are we as consumers being defrauded by irresponsible manufacturing but these huge hunks of metal and plastic are polluting our environment. Our parents had washing machines and dryers for as long as 20 to 25 years and they actually cleaned clothes. We now have high efficiency machines that destroy our clothing and leave them dirty and wrinkled. They are now made to break in 5 years and from what I see on this website the average for breakdown is becoming 3 years. Do you think that this is not by design? The service call turns out to be more than the value of the machine, so the repairman doesnt even profit as consumers refrain from costly repair and repurchase. The only profitability is gained by the manufacturers that keep pushing out junk to the consumer. These manufacturers should be accountable like the American auto-manufacturers became accountable for the junk they manufactured at the expense of a whole city, Detroit.

We Purchased a Maytag gas oven/stove three years ago believing it to be the quality of the Maytag of yesteryear, Boy have we been disappointed! When Whirlpool Corp. bought out Maytag several years ago they continued using the Maytag name only.. The quality is now less than substandard, It is a cheaply built piece of crap.. We would sell it in a garage sale and replace it with a quality stove/oven but we dont want anyone else to have to deal with this piece of junk! It will soon go to the landfill!!!

Lets see... my complaints are the same as the others. I purchased the Maytag Bravos set. They were the higher end units. At first, the machine was very quiet. I quickly had a control board go out. Got that fixed. Now the washer gets off balance on every load.... Every time it spins, it stop. The gears whine very loudly... Louder than any other machine Ive ever heard. I agree with the comments on wrinkled clothes. It also does not clean heavily soiled clothes as well either. Overall, a bad decision.

I bought a Maytag Washer in October of 2012. So far we have had to have repairs to it (4) times. The motor falls out. We are very dissatisfied with the product. We have always purchased Maytag products and fee we should get a new washer. The warranty is up in one month. If there is anything you can do to help it would be appreciated. I bought a Maytag MMV1153BAW Microwave. Within a year, the electronic key pad started cracking from normal use. After two years, the microwave intermittently starts then just stops, with the key pad showing 0000. We must unplug the device, or turn the breaker off and on. I called Maytag about the key pad and they said it wasnt covered, and a replacement key pad cost more than the microwave. After two and a half years, we purchased a new microwave, and have sworn never to buy Maytag again.

My disappointment with this washer (Bravos xl) is that it smells moldy and musty no matter what I do. I clean with affresh when light comes on, leave the top open, etc. I have tried cleaning it with baking soda and vinegar poured down the detergent opening. Water does not drain from the bleach or softener openings. I have resorted to using baking soda in every single wash and adding an extra rinse to keep my clothes from smelling. The laundry room always smells. I would go back to an agitator in a heart beat if this hadnt been so expensive. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL assuming that because of the brand name it would be a great machine. WRONG. This washer is truly awful. Every single load of darks comes out covered in soap scum. I always have to rewash every dark load with no soap for a full normal cycle in order to get the scum off. My whites are probably also scummy but often I just throw them in the dryer as I cant see the scum. Its just a very, very poorly designed machine that obviously wasnt tested before they started manufacturing and selling it. Its criminal how Maytag continued to sell this piece of junk, and Ill never trust their brand again.

I recently purchased a Maytag French door, bottom freezer. It was delivered and set up by delivery men and when they pulled out the bottom freezer the bin and tray were missing. This refrig should have never been shipped (per Home Depot) and also delivery men. They called Maytag and ordered the missing part. 5 days later it arrives and is not the right bin. I purchased the 5 year warranty contract and after calling 3 numbers and getting shuffled around, they told me it should also have a slide out. They set up appt. for this Thurs. I wanted to file a claim for loss freezer meat and was told Miss, your 5 year warranty does not start until the 1 year manufacturer warranty is up. She also proceeded to tell me that no refund will be issued and they are NOT responsible when their product leaves their plant and gets to me. REALLY... The refrigerator was not properly inspected and still shipped. Not covered under warranty and fridge is 5 days old and have had issues from date of delivery. I will never make another purchase of a MAYTAG and their customer service could use more training and a course is representing their company in a much better way.

When I went to whip down the small shelve under the knobs, I cut my finger on the sharp metal. Was told that is the oven vent. Checked out your instruction book and found NO mention on that being a danger and to take care when cleaning. If I had been informed of that sharp metal piece I dont think I would have looked at your stove. The metal has razor sharp edges on both sides making it almost impossible to get too close to cleaning it. That shelf is a nice place to collect dust, grease and food boil overs and now I have to be extremely careful about cleaning. Thanks to someones not thinking in their designing. The stove is what I wanted other than that one fault.

I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendal
I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendale, AZ in September 2005. I even bought the stands for them. With my purchase, I got the extended warranty for four more years. I didnt realize that I would really need it. I have had so many issues with the washer and dryer I cant even count - from the control panel not working, to the noise and the vibration when washing, or maybe in the smell of moldy cheese. I also have issues with the constant chimes of D5 code that keeps coming up on the display screen. After 2009, I finally gave up on calling the Maytag customer service folks to have someone come and service the washer because it was out of warranty. I just decided to live with all those issues. As far as my dryer goes, the rollers went bad and that was replaced. The burnt smell isnt so bad as long as you use a wire hanger with a sock on the end of it and clean the inside of the vent. Then try to vacuum it, take the sock, get it wet, and clean the inside of the vent again. This was the most expensive piece of junk I have ever purchased in my life (almost $3,000.00 with the stands and warranty). What really gets me upset is I had the Maytag people servicing my washer and dryer up until 2009 and no one told me about a recall of my washer and dryer. The only reason I found out about it was searching for the specs as the washer finally died and I am replacing it. Trust me. I will not be purchasing a Maytag. I know that Whirlpool purchased Maytag so I am not even going to consider Whirlpool either. Since Whirlpool purchased Maytag, Whirlpool should have contacted all Maytag consumers, (which they didnt), put ads in newspapers (which I did not see) or put an ad on TV. None of these appeared to have happened.By the way, when I bought my Maytag appliances, I was supposed to get a $200 rebate for buying the stands that never came. It must have gotten lost in the mail - as well as the Tide coupons for three years. You, guys, remember that too. I will never ever purchase a Maytag appliance or Whirlpool, since they own Maytag now.

I bought this MMV4205BAB microwave thinking Maytag was a good brand and I wanted an over the range type. Problems began when it would stop in the middle of a cooking cycle. I called the repairman as it was under warranty. It was decided by the repairman that the weight of thing was too great for its thin frame, not letting the door close correctly. I got a new one and it, from day one, would make a shorting sound every time anything was cooked, on the stove top, under it, while it was on. It finally just shorted out. To replace it...almost the cost of what I paid, warranty has run out. In the last 7 years we have had problems with 5 various Maytag products, replaced our Maytag dishwasher which lasted 20 yrs and Maytag washer & dryer that lasted 30+ years and ran without a hitch. Maytag has not been helpful at all and their authorized service repair. A&E Repair Service is a bigger scam than they are. It is a waste of my finances and time to buy major appliances every 5 years. Each and every one of their new appliances has died shortly after all the warranties have run out. Im beyond frustrated, disgusted, and financially drained. It does not pay to be brand loyal to Maytag for they are no longer respectful nor appreciative of their customers. I would love to give corporate the opportunity to enjoy the same products that are in my home...in their homes...as well as the experience of their customer service. Last Maytag purchase for me! We purchased a refrigerator in December 2010 with a 12-month warranty. Since the refrigerator was delivered, we have experienced nothing but problems. Most recently, there was a problem with the auto defrost causing us to lose all our food stored. It also caused water damage to our floor. We scheduled maintenance with a contracted company through MayTag. After three scheduled visits, which made me miss 3 and a half days of work resulting in an additional loss of over $300, our refrigerator is still broken and they just want us to schedule another maintenance visit. When calling Maytag customer service we are literally told, “your loss, there is nothing we can do to resolve your issue, we can only continue to send out maintenance.” I am so disappointed in this company, the product, the customer service, maintenance service etc.

I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer, plus the pedestals for each. In last August of this year the washer just stopped in the middle of a wash cycle. I placed a call to the customer service. The tech diagnosed and placed an order for a part and set an appointment for two weeks later, with a time window 1 to 5 pm. The person called at 5:30 to tell me he had an job before he could get to me. I had taken the day off to wait for him. I called and they ended up rescheduling, for two more weeks.. Tech came ordered different parts, tech did not show up. Tech came out again ordered new parts. Next week he arrived wrong parts. Washer still not extracting. New tech, new parts, new appointment, this was what happened throughout September and October. Tech was not happy with his job, stated that to me, would not do anything but install part, even if it didnt work. He took parts with him. The washer still not extracting. Last Thursday he didnt even have all the parts, made the decision to replace machine without discussing it with me. Told me Sears would call me in 48 hours. Received call today Tuesday. Go to Sears to have it replaced. None of the machines they offered are compatible with mine. I will have to purchase the pedestal for the new machine, plus pay the overage to get the comparable machine. Service appointment people were horrible, cold and rude. Sear store at the mall where I purchased my washer said that it was not their problem. Once we sell it you are in their hands. Have had Maytag for over 30 years. Will never buy it again. Will never buy at Sears again. Too bad I have to replace my washer with something from Sears. Not enough space to write everything I have gone through, the lost workdays, the extra expense of having to go to the laundromat, the stress of dealing with incompetent people and techs.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher on 12-26-2013. It was installed in early Jan. We did not buy an additional warranty. We put our faith in the Maytag name. We had no problems with our dishwasher. It was smooth and quiet. The one year warranty ended in Jan. 2015. In March of 2015, our dishwasher control panel began to go crazy. A short while later our Maytag shut down completely. Every now and then the washer will come on by itself. We will try and cut it off. It cuts off when it is ready. We have got quotes on getting it fixed by Maytag. With installation and tax, our Maytag Dishwasher cost us $649.22. Our complaint is the same complaint of thousands of other customers - the control panel. Maytag should have a recall and fix this problem. Maytags remedy for this problem is to sell a warranty for each year that a family owns the dishwasher. That is not acceptable. Please consider a recall on this item. Our model is MDB7749SBW2. Our serial #F33406909. Thanks for your help.

About 9 yrs ago, we remodeled our house. And when it came to appliances, I was vehement we were going to go with Maytag because of their great name and reliability (We have 7 sons and needed reliable appliances). Boy, was I ever wrong?! We have gone through 2 Maytag dishwashers and countless repairs to the Maytag dryer. And our top of the line refrigerator has been a piece of junk!Of course, shortly after the year warranty was up, the flimsy pieces of plastic holding up the shelves started breaking off. The repairman, who came to replace the cooling coil on the refrigerator, said those shelf plugs couldnt be fixed. The whole front of all drawers have come off as well. He mentioned that Maytag was going bankrupt and started compromising on fit and finish. And he said that we just happened to purchase in that time frame. Now, we have a compressor that needs to be replaced for over $500! I have, in my garage, a Gibson freezer from my grandma that is 40 yrs old, and literally the most reliable appliance we have. Never have we made any repairs to it!I called Whirlpool (since they bought Maytag) to tell about my horrible experience with Maytag, and let them know we have to replace these appliances. I asked if there was anything they could/would do (discounts whatever) to redeem their name. I was told that they would not be able to help at all. So, I told them that I would not give Whirlpool anymore of my business and warn anyone I could, not to buy Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana. Isnt there any appliance company out there who cares about customer service, a good name and a reliable product?!

I purchased a Maytag Electric Range (Model: MER7662WS1) at Lowes in February 2011. After few months, we found many rusty areas on the stainless oven door and on the stainless drawer. On 9/8, I called Maytag at 1-800-688-9900 to complain that stainless steel is not supposed to rust. A representative took the initiative to schedule A&E Factory Service to come to my house for a warranty repair, and assigned me an order # 40629499. I did not request for this service call and naturally, I regard this as a warranty service or a service of quality check of a product. On 9/19, a technician came to check the rusty area and confirmed that the stainless steel have rusted and the rust will eat through the panel. The technician called Maytag, and got the answer that Maytag will not pay for his visit because its not under warranty. The technician then checked the warranty manual, but could find not any statement that neither rust is cosmetic nor rust is not covered. The technician asked me to pay $132 for his five-minute checking service. I was so upset and called Denice at A&E Factory Service at 1-800-905-9505 to bill Maytag directly. She ignored my request and said that I should take it to Maytag. After a couple of hours waiting, holding and transferring, I explained to two Maytag customer service representatives my problem, only to get a Sorry, its not covered, its cosmetic, reply. I insisted talking to a manager and finally got Melinda at Care Solution Team. She, too, refused to waive the charge for me and claimed herself as a supervisor and decision maker and theres no one above her who could resolve this issue.I emphasized that A&E service call was authorized by Maytag, I did not order the service. Who would have thought that a service authorized by manufacturer is not covered under warranty? Besides, this representative failed to inform me that rust would not be covered, she should have known better. Therefore, I believe that the person who initiated the service call to A&E should be held accountable. But Melinda never wanted to agree with this logic and kept saying, We dont force customer to have home service. You are liable for the bill. She refused to pay for the service and forced me to pay the bill from the mistake they made. She even refused to give out the persons ID # and name of the person who called A&E. She only documented my complaint--whats the point of their documentation? If this is the tactic that Maytag is using to categorize rust as cosmetic (if rust can damage material, then you should not call it cosmetic), and ban customers from claiming the rust damage so they can use poor quality of stainless steel on their appliances to save the cost, then, it is dishonest to advertise that this oven is stainless.A representative even said that Maytag should have emailed me with the confirmation of service call and noted that its a non-warranty service. Also, A&E should have informed me before arrival that the service is not covered. All these were not true. First, I did not receive such email from Maytag or Whirlpool. If Maytag would have warned me with non-covered policy such as this, they should have the courtesy to call me in case the email was unreliably routed to spam box. A&E only informed me that they are coming the next day, but no such thing as telling me that the service will not be covered. Even their technician did not know about the non-covered issue, and had to call Maytag today to find out.Had the person who scheduled the service told me that the rust on the stainless panels is not covered under warranty, will I still allow the service call and agree to pay $132 for a five-minute checkup and watch the technician leave without performing any repair? I asked Melinda to let me talk to her supervisor but she said that theres no one who can talk to me, and the only way to appeal is to write to the companys executives. The address is: Whirlpool Corporate Office553 Benson Rd Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022. I doubt that an appeal will help me at all. I will take this matter to small claim court, I wont let them force me to pay the bill when I am not at fault.

Not long after dishwasher MDB7609AWB2 was out of warranty the START switch on the keyboard would not work. Called dealer and they sent someone out to check for a charge not quite $100. Could not fix it so said it needed a new control panel which with labor was almost $200. Doesnt work so get it fixed. Now less than 3 years later the same thing has happened - wont start. Lousy engineering and part probably made in China to save Maytag money, I feel is the cause. This is happening over and over to those of us who purchased in good faith what used to be a reliable product from a reliable company.

We had remodeled our kitchen in 2009. Bought new fridge and stove (Maytag). The oven door came off and cant get it back on. No matter how many times we tried, no way can we get it back on. I had to have my son to come and help us. No sooner did we use the handle to open the door off again. This has been going on for 3 years. **, well fed up. I called Maytag about this issue and they told me they would get a repair at my cost. The fridge freezes all the produce, cant regulate the temperature. Never ever will we buy any Maytag product again. Who knows what’s going to happen next? Oh, and the paint is chipping off of the grates of the gas stove.

I cant warn you enough NOT to buy this design flawed machine. Ive only owned mine two months from Home Depot, the install was a nightmare and now due to a poor design flaw, if you miss loose coins or anything in pockets it will get trapped between the drum and the tub causing rattling and noise during spin cycle. Guess what? Service calls EACH time this happens. This is nothing more than a $750 piece of junk. I feel like its marring the whole feel of my new house. I hate hate hate this washer and am trying to get Home Depot to take it back, Maytag to refund me or sell it at a huge loss. This is NOT getting anything you pay for and I vow to NEVER EVER buy Maytag again.

I bought a Maytag Bravos top loader in Oct 2011. About a yr after having it, it started having problems. At the end of the cycle, theres still water in the tub and clothes are soaked. A couple of months after that, it started completely skipping the wash cycle, so the clothes would just sit in dirty water and do nothing. I called the small appliance co. I bought it from and by the time I get done paying a house call and parts, I might as well buy another one. I called Maytag because it seems theyre all having the same problem and at some point youd think they would be responsible for their product. They couldnt care less and the options they offered me were a joke!! Please, whatever you do, DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG because you will be on your own if anything goes wrong (unless you want to pay them the price of a new washer!!).

Maytag Dishwasher, mdb7749sam1 - I got this dishwasher new in Feb. 2013 for my new house. I thought that Maytag was supposed to be a very good appliance company. (I just found out that Whirlpool bought them! I dont like their dishwashers, either! Ive had 3 whirlpools that only lasted about 2-4 years each.) My dishwasher worked great until the control panel buttons started blinking and going crazy! Then, it just stopped working altogether. I called Maytag about this part, and found out that it is only covered the first year, and the so-called 10-year warranty doesnt cover it. What good is the extended 10-year warranty if it doesnt cover all the parts!? I researched this dishwasher before I bought it. It got fairly good reviews at the time. Now when I look it up, it gets these terrible reviews! I am so disappointed with this situation. I have other Maytag appliances that have performed great. Im not sure why their dishwashers cant be made the same way.I am going to order the part and repair the machine. I hope this will fix the problem. I had hoped that the Maytag brand would live up to their hype, and be better than the Whirlpools I had already had such bad experiences with. The Whirlpools had great features, they just didnt last! This dishwasher, too, has great features. Two years isnt a long enough run for it to be a good choice, though. Really disappointed :(

We purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer in April 2011. We did not purchase an extended warranty. From the beginning, it didnt seem to clean as well as our 12 year old top load Whirlpool had. Then in Summer 2013 it began to create fabric pulls in fine fabrics - tablecloths, blouses, etc. Whirlpool sent a repairman who charged $90 to tell us that the drum needed to be replaced because of a rough spot. He ordered a new drum and we understood that it would be replaced because it was within the 5 year manufacturers warranty on drums, but we would have to pay for installation. 2 months later, Whirlpool informed us they could not supply the new drum. Why are replacement parts not available for a 2 year old machine? The customer service rep told me that they would replace the machine for 15 percent of the cost of a new machine. All I needed to do would be to pick out a machine and let customer service know the model number and they would make arrangements and contact me re: payment of the 15%. When I contacted them again I was told that I would be expected to pay $508.00. That is 15% of a $3000.00 machine. It it completely unfair. Later, I was told that the first rep I spoke to must have been wrong because they dont pro rate replacements on a percentage basis. I told them that I was not interested and they have lost a good Whirlpool customer. In the last 15 years we have purchased 7 appliances made by Whirlpool. Never again! I am not impressed by their customer service.

First it would only let me choose the rinse option but now all the lights are turning on and the dishwasher will not stop washing but yet the dishes are still dirty. I called Maytag and they quoted me 249.00 to fix the issue. But if its a common problem with this make and model why do I have to pay to replace the panel. They should recall this model or replace the panel with an updated one that wont have the same issues! I cant imagine paying 249.99 every year to replace this panel that seems to malfunction no matter what you do!!! I paid around 550.00 at the home Depot for this dishwasher! Purchased a Maytag Bravos 300 quiet series and am totally dissatisfied. I have a bandsaw, router and several saws in my workshop and by far my Maytag washer can drown them all out with the noise it makes. On top of all this it does not complete its cycles before it shuts off and if you try to restart it you never know where in the cycle it is going to start at. Stay away from this product!!! Lets just say one star is too much for this product. Terrible. Lets just say one star is too much for this product. We bought this washer 2/2017. We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

In December of 2013 I purchased a Maytag clothes dryer model Neptune. In July of 2014, I was hearing a banging sound as the drum rotated. As a mechanical inclined person that I am I removed the top of the dryer and turned the drum by hand. As I turned the drum I noticed that the stainless steel crimped bead around the drum had separated just enough to hit the side wall of the dryer. I was able to bang down the raised portion of the raised bead. This was a quick fix and there was no more banging as the drum turned around. Then in June of this month it started to make that banging sound again. So I removed the top of the dryer and discovered that the bead separated again and then there was a crack that spread to about 1 1/2 inches. I banged down the raised portion again and this lasted for 2 weeks. That’s when I noticed that the crack spread further apart and actually ripped a hole in the left side wall of the machine and froze in position where it would not turn at all. So I reversed the turn of the drum by hand to allow the drum to turn again. At this point I decided to order a new drum which came to $264.00 which included shipping. When it arrives I will replace the entire drum. Being that Maytag/Whirlpool refused to honor their product because this issue happened after the warranty had just expired and the company didnt want to replace the drum. I have never heard of a dryer drum seal bead coming apart in all my experience with repairing an appliance. No I wouldnt suggest purchasing a Maytag/Whirlpool product to anyone. I feel the company should have done the right thing and replaced the drum. In life if you do the right thing all the time, then there would never be an issue with the consumer and corporation. Always do the right thing and you will never go wrong.

Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer - We are usually review writers. I just felt it was our duty to help others save their hard-earned dollars and not purchase this product. We have owned this expensive and highly researched set for a bit over 2 years. We have had to have repairmen out a half dozen times for dryer repairs. The washer was purchased with the largest tub because I wanted to be able to wash a full load of sheets or a blanket. NOT!!! It gets off balanced, twists every single item (as in blue jeans, towels, soft t-shirts, etc...any weight or size) into a huge mess and has actually ruined some of my clothing. The dryer gives me error messages all the time. I am beyond words with my disappointment. We saved a long time for this set and now are absolutely stuck for a long time before we can replace. You know Maytag my message to you is that hard-working people used to trust your company name. I have been married 43 years and we keep our purchases for many years. I have never in all these years been so disappointed in the huge purchase we made thinking it was a lifetime investment. Now I am doing everything I can to save this year so maybe can replace it down the road as soon as we can. I am telling you people reading this... DO NOT BUY THIS SET. We bought a Maytag Gemini double oven in June 2007. It has been a problem from day one. It arrived with a damaged door. They reordered and replaced it. Through the next few months, I became very discouraged with the oven. I bake a good bit and was always used to an oven with fairly accurate temperature. This oven will not reach or sometimes just wont maintain a steady temperature. After a couple of service calls, I gave up. I now raise the temperature setting about 50-75 degrees higher that the recipe requires. Naturally, I dont always get the best results. However, that isnt the thing that really bothers me. These ovens have three ignitors. About every six months, one breaks. The cost is over $200.00 each time. The ovens/broiler are highly unreliable. After mixing up something or on an important holiday, one may find that the oven wont light. Theres no warning! It is simply gone. I will never again buy a Maytag! I called Maytag and questioned them about the lemon law. I was told that the same piece had to break three times in one year. That is crazy, when the entire thing doesnt and has never worked well.

Have a Maytag refrigerator, less than 2 years old. Water is leaking from top of the inside of the refrigerator, presumably related to water dispenser, unrelated to filter, and dispenser still functions. In shock, Ill have to pay an additional $347.00 to Maytag for an additional warranty if I want them to remedy this!!! Model # MFT2672AEM10. Buyer beware! Upset that such a new refrigerator would have problems - more upset that the company is making no efforts to make it right without charging more. The refrigerator was not cheap in first place. Also the time spent to have someone come out... Maytag advertises repairman boredom.... Never had another problem with other appliances unless they were much older!!!

I purchased the Top Loading Maytag Washer and have had nothing but an awful experience with this washer. The dark clothes come out with soap on them. I then need to take a wet towel to wipe out the soap stains. I have had a repairman in 2 times so far and there is nothing he can do to fix it. Maytag said I must wash all the towels with towels, all jeans with jeans, roll clothes into a loose ball before putting in machine, use the extra rinse cycle and the longest wash cycle and do not load clothes more than 5-6 inches high in the tub plus 7 other things I must do to get a clean load and none of those things have worked yet. If the salesperson would have told me all this, I never would have purchased a Maytag and nor should you!

Maytag Dishwasher purchased for $634 on 7-6-12 from Lowes. Control panel malfunctioned in August 2014. Started leaking in April 2012. From the online comments, I am trashing this machine. It is not worth fixing it and having it malfunction again. Maytag will not say anything about this, only offers a repair person out to fix. I am very disappointed that my hard earned money purchased a sub standard machine. Maytag used to mean reliability. NO more.

Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 MVB700VQ - My wife and I feel this is one of the worst machines sold. We purchased it from Costco 2 yrs ago and had several issues over the years. Pump, locking, water level, small clothing items like socks getting in behind the drum and clogging the pump, and yesterday a flooding issue. That is right, my Bravo 300 did not shut off and the water ran continually with an LD code displayed. The water overflowed into the kitchen & pantry. The wood floors are now warped. We were home so we were able to shut off the water as the washer controls (buttons) were locked and not responding. We spent the better part of 3 hours moving items and wet vacuuming the house. We now have a dehumidifier running in hopes we can salvage the wood floors and minimize mold growth.I will note that I have a home warranty (third party) that covers repairs on my appliances, this washer included. The repair man thought it may be the pump, a line, and/or the control panel/module that need replacing. The repairs would be covered by home warranty.... but not the floors. There is NO WAY I am fixing any washer that flooded my home.Yesterday, I took a 3 yr old washer with known issues back to Costco. I was not happy with the manufacturers suggestions that I buy parts as it was Out of warranty. Again, I had a third party warranty so the repairs would have been covered! It is clear that the manufacturer doesnt CARE about the quality or the performance of this machine. I have found a FIX for these issues. We are buying an LG Washer that is more $ and is highly rated by Consumer Reports. Stay AWAY from this model and current repackaged models of Bravo/Cabrio!

It has not been overused as there are only two of us in the family and we use Crockpot regularly which do not require the range. It was fine for about 23months, but now it will not heat up at all We have been unable to get much help from Maytag so are not at all happy with this product. We chose Maytag as it is a replacement for an older Maytag oven and we have a Maytag fridge which will shortly have to be replaced. Not sure at all if we will replace it with Maytag going on our experience with our double oven.

First let me say I have used Maytag products for 46 years. A little over a year ago bought a new Maytag Centennial Washer (Model MVWC555DW) for a cousin which was responsible to looking after as he had been brain damaged since birth. Needless to say when I started having trouble with clothes not washing and having to bring to my home and wash was not satisfactory. This machine never worked right but until after the 1 year warranty could get by. Needless to say I will never buy another Maytag appliance but now have a Maytag washer/dryer, stove and dishwasher in my home. Maytag is Not the quality that is use to be. I bought a Maytag dishwasher, stove and refrigerator and the dishwasher was a problem from the beginning. Repaired out twice and replaced the control panel. Seasonal residence, so the start of year 2 (this week) the control panel goes a third time. Its going to cost $387 to repair (told my elderly mother) and it turns out it was a warranty program that she purchased, not a repair estimate. She was misled as she called Maytag and they transferred her to a warranty company, and once again Maytag says theres nothing they will do. Now, Im hassled with cancelling that as well. I called Maytag and they dont stand behind their lemon of a product and said there is nothing they can do because its out of warranty (even though theyve been out twice to fix it). Do not buy a Maytag product. This is the first complaint Ive every written and I am just shocked that Maytag doesnt stand behind their product. Im informing 100s of people to not purchase Maytag and they will pass along my negative experience as well, for that, I am sure.

I just purchased this Maytag Commercial Technology Washer and Dryer on August 31st, 2018 and We hooked it up today Sept 4th 2018. I put a small load of towels in this machine and it said it would take an hour and thirty seven minutes to wash. I added my detergent and pressed all of the necessary buttons and started the load. the machine started spinning and testing and adjusting. I waited to hear the water start to come into the washer but nothing. I then checked my water lines thinking they are not on but they were. Through the smokey glass on the washing machine, I could see water dripping as if it is hooked up to a slow drip IV Machine.I am taking this thing back ASAP!!! First thing in the morning on Sept 5th 2018 I do not need to call Maytag Customer Service because they know it is a piece of junk, so I do not need to waste a moment with this crap on my property. I see Maytag does not believe in a QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT because that department would put a stamp of approval on this Junk for distribution. No Washing machine should take more than 30 minutes (40 mins max) to wash no clothes. I will have to invest in an old school scrub board and rocks, then I can understand an hour and thirty minutes worth of wash time. I have set the timer on my phone when I started this load and My towels have been in the washer for an hour so far and I can still hear the slow IV DRIP OF WATER going. I just checked the machine and the digital reading is saying it has an hour and thirty three minutes to go. there is no water in the tub of this washing machine. The towels are wet from the IV drip and the machine is now pretending to agitate the dirty towels but it is only going in one direction. It is truly a sad state of affairs, your hard earned money gets you nothing but junk and a runaround.

We recently purchased a Maytag Washer/Dryer set, but shortly after it arrived, we realized it was way too big for our needs, so traded it in for a smaller model (Model #MVWB765FC3). After a few washes, it developed a loud clicking noise during the entire wash cycle. Inquired about it at the retailer we purchased it from (showed them video of it) and was told it was not supposed to make that noise. Subsequently the Maytag Repairman paid us a visit and told us theres nothing wrong with the machine and that the retailer should not have told us what they did.#1). The machine did not make that noise initially. It started after a few loads of laundry. #2). The first machine we brought home was the same model (only larger) and that one didnt make that noise. To add insult to injury, the repairman has the audacity to tell my husband, Well, this visit didnt cost you anything. Really?! It cost him 4 hours of pay while he sat home waiting for you! In addition, we were delivered two cosmetically defective dryers that had to be returned. Furthermore, when I was washer/dryer shopping, I sent Maytags Customer Service Dept. an e-mail through their website asking questions about the product. To this day, I have still not received a response. I had a bad experience about 20 years ago with Maytag, but thought Id give them a second chance. I tell you...there will not be a 3rd time.

I have a 2-year-and-5-day-old frontloader washing machine. The bearing and axle broke. The repair is over $500.00. It appears to be a known problem, as Maytag knew exactly what was wrong from the description of the noise it makes. They knew all the parts that would be needed. We purchased a high capacity washer (MVWB835DW), along with the matching dryer, two years ago from Lowes. This review is not about Lowes. They did the best they could to make things right. The review is about the Maytag washer (made and serviced by WhirIpool). It has been nothing short of a debacle. The first two washers did not work and had to be replaced. The third and current washer has been repaired three times, including the drum and motor. We have been without the use of the washer for over a week each time while waiting for parts and Whirlpool to approve the repair. The washer is not high capacity as advertised. Filling the drum even half way results in the washer stopping mid cycle whereupon we have to adjust the contents back into balance. In addition, the machine leaves a lint residue on dark clothing that has to be wiped off by hand. We have asked Maytag/Whirlpool to replace the machine but they say it has to fail for the same issue four times in order to qualify for replacement. We are done and will purchase another washer from a different manufacturer. It’s easy to understand why Samsung and LG have become such a dominate force in the laundry sector. Whirlpool/Maytag does not care about you or the problems with their product. Buyer beware!

Took a week before someone came out. Said washer needed a new motherboard and they would only cover it once but there seems to be a ongoing issue with their motherboard. Approx four months ago we got new stainless steel Maytag fridge, stove and dishwasher. Terrible, terrible, terrible. The dishwasher rack was broken, and the parts are plastic and hardly any room on the racks. The fridge had the wrong hinges and doors on them. We have been waiting for four months to have them replaced. Today we checked with Maytag and still not coming. The fridge makes a very loud humming noise it almost shakes the floor. This was some sort of compressor problem. Now the fridge is having problems with the freezer. It is freezing up with frost everywhere. The stove is terrible. I waited an extra month to get a convection oven which I have had before and this one is terrible. The double oven is a great feature if they work. They take forever to heat and if you do anything with the food you have reset the temperature? The top is the worst for cooking as the only one that works fast is the boost but then it slows down and you have a hard time cooking the food. The black top is very very hard to clean. I have owned a Maytag washer and dryer for the last 34 years. They have been excellent. Since Whirlpool took over Maytag they seem to have run the name into the ground and all the good service and products they had built up are now ruined. I told my neighbor a few years ago to buy a Maytag washer and dryer and they did. They have had nothing but trouble and are now having to buy new ones but not Maytag. It is a shame that with all the technology that Maytag has built up over the years is now gone. If you look at all the terrible reviews I dont think Whirlpool will be in business much longer with products and service like this. I still have a fifties fridge for pop and beer and it is the best fridge ever with no problems and my last fridge in my garage, that I replaced with this Maytag is still better than this new fridge. The service man that came to fix the fridge said we had to build in the fridge to keep the noise down. How come they never had problems with Maytag products years ago. I feel its all about the almighty dollar. They only last a few years and you have to buy expensive warranty. If you made them properly you would not need warranty and they would last for years like before. If anyone knows if there is a class action suit against these companies let me know since all of us should not be ripped off and costing us time and money.

I purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer 3-4 years ago, upgraded to the premium washer and dryer, SS drums and have been dissatisfied from the start. The washer was extremely noisy; we were told this was normal. The dryer began making strange noises just outside the warranty period, and the belt and pulley had to be replaced. I was shocked at the cheapness of the pulley design, but the replacement part was of better quality. The washer began making a horrendous squeak shortly afterwards, again, outside the warranty period. The repairman said that they were all like that, Maytag used inferior transmissions and that it would be cheaper to replace the washer than repairing it. My mother had the same experience with a similar model. Needless to say, I will never purchase another Maytag product. FYI, there are only three people in our household, all adults, light duty use.

I purchased a Maytag Neptune 24” front load washer (MAH2400a) and 24” electric dryer (MDE2400AYW) on October 26, 2005 from Sears in Chesterfield, MO. In April 2011, the drum in the washer began to slush and grind. Water also began pooling around the machine. I called Sears and arranged for service repairman. Before he even looked inside the washer, the repairman wanted to give me a coupon for $50.00 off a new washing machine from Sears. After my insistence, he finally opened the washer and told me I needed a new drum. Because of the Sears repairman’s reluctance to look at the machine, I had another appliance repairman review it and was told that the water pumps for this model were defective. Any loose items the size of coins collected inside the pump and damaged it. I paid $340.00 to get the pump replaced. Ten months later, the dryer started smoking. After scheduling a service call, I was told the heating element burnt out and it would cost $360.00 to replace. It was then I noticed that the washer was leaking again. I took the front base cover off and saw mold growing under the machine. A little research uncovered that this set of machines has had many dangerous problems, from mold to catching on fire. There was a class action lawsuit filed and won by consumers in April 2005, yet I was sold this model in October 2005. I feel both Maytag and Sears knowingly sold me a defective and dangerous product. I would like to be refunded for this set.

I wish I had researched high efficiency washers before buying because of a name we trusted implicitly. Our washer does not get our clothes clean & cleaning it with Affresh is not enough. I have never had to work so hard at getting clothes clean! Towels smell musty, stinky. My husbands sweaty workout & gardening clothes smell worse, even with subsequent washes & his shirts have white spots from the detergent not even being washed out. The rinse cycle water just washes out the bottom of the machine while the clothes are plastered against the side of the machine. I do not wash my husbands clothes with anyone elses or it all smells and if he washes them twice, they still have that odor that comes from being dank. Even if I stop the washer to arrange the clothes on the bottom so they will get rinsed properly (gotta wait two hours for a load to finish) I have bought every HE laundry detergent on the market, every odor remover, vinegar, baking soda, bleach. For a year Ive been chasing my tail to do the dance that I never had to do with a top loader agitator Maytag that we had for 7 years and never had to clean once, but used unscented detergent that got the worst smells and stains out without much thought. Even reviews that I read about their amended top loader with an agitator are not very good.
