I purchased a Maytag Centennial MVWC360AW washing machine on July 11, 2013 at The Home Depot. I assumed that I was getting a good product based on my Moms old Maytag washer. This machine is the farthest thing from quality that I have ever experienced. My Mom would roll over in her grave if she knew how CHEAP Whirlpool has built---what is supposed to be a---Maytag! The machine worked fairly well, at first. Even though I didnt like the low water arrangement. I like clothes to be fully immersed in water! That went on for 2 years and 5 months, until NOW the led light goes to Rinse, but it wont agitate. Then the led light goes toSpin, but it wont spin! I called a local appliance repairman and he told me that the control is bad. They cost about $250.00. Its not worth repairing!! So, Im stuck with this piece of junk! Shame on Maytag/Whirlpool for building a PIECE OF JUNK!

We purchased a Maytag Commercial Technology washer from Lowes. After having the washer for only 3 months, the drum failed, an entire load of clothes was turned black with oil, and my washer was out of service for months. The drum had to be replaced. They did not offer me a replacement. I was just without a washer. They couldnt get the parts because of supply issues created by Covid. I was offered a 2-year additional warranty which should have carried me through 2022. Last week, I called to use the warranty - service was scheduled (and I was told that I did indeed have a warranty by the service team.) I was then told by the repair team that I was out of warranty. Maytags notes show I was only offered a 1 year additional warranty. I talked with Management at Maytag/Whirlpool - they will do nothing for me. Shame on me for not getting that in writing. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for lying to me. The washer has been a nightmare! Dont buy one.

I purchased a Maytag Front-Loading Washing machine. It was purchased on 11/30/15. Approximately this January, 2017 the spin cycle stopped getting all the water out of the laundry. Towels came out wet, shirts came out wet and I tried washing a small bathroom rug that came out of the washer dripping with water. My husband called Maytag to tell them about this issue. They told him I didnt know how to load the washer machine. Wow, I have only been using washing machines for 45 years and now I dont know how to load a machine. Then they said they will send him a video to watch on how to load a washing machine. I watched it. I wasnt doing anything incorrectly. (Maybe someone should send them a video on how to build a proper washing machine.) I previously had a Maytag Neptune machine that lasted twenty years until there was a class action suit against the machine. The clothes came out fine from that machine. I just purchased an Electrolux front loader that works beautifully. Now I have a Maytag machine that is nothing but a piece of junk in my opinion. It cost $824.21. I will never buy a Maytag machine EVER. MHW7100DW.

Had our house built in 2009 and the builder carry Maytag Appliances. After 3 years every single appliances start giving us problems. First the refrigerator not getting cold, got it fixed. Then the dishwasher panel, then the built-in microwave, then washing machine. Just the other day the refrigerator broke down again and I was told the compressor was bad. Really? Whats going with this company? All the appliances from this maker dont have longevity. I have 20 year older refrigerator from GE and its still working. Please do not buy this garbage... Its a waste of your hard-earned money.

After using my GE Profile to death we replaced it with a Maytag; mostly for the cost. Although I hate to admit this, remember the old saying you get what you paid for - Well its true at least in the case of this Maytag oven. I am a constant cook and own a bakery, I often bake many of my products at home. Since getting this oven I have had nothing but failures. The cakes are over done, underdone, cookies burnt, not cooked enough; my time frame for recipes is so off! I wrote a cook book and have baked for years so I know for a fact its not some miraculous mishap that all of a sudden I cant bake. Ive had them come calibrate the oven but still no success.Im going to call them again but I felt compelled to let people know this is the worst oven in history and avoid purchasing it at all cost. I plan on having the service team come out one last time but if this doesnt work I plan on replacing it. Its a Maytag Double Wall Oven-Top Convection-Self Cleaning model no: MEW9630DS-SS. BUYERS BEWARE!

Bravos XL washer- This is probably the worst purchase I have ever made, first off, at $1000 it was a pricey purchase however, I chalked it up to it will last many years without issue. After only 3 years, the unit leaked water and was so loud you couldnt stay indoors while it was on spin cycle. The bearings and seal were completely shot and needed replacement, after the sticker shock of having a good repairman fix the problem I decided to tackle the job myself. (Thank you YouTube). All was well for the next 2 years until it all happened again. Maytag is junk and will never get another dollar from me-ever! A Speed Queen TR5 now sits where that piece of crap used to reside. BUYER BEWARE!

We lost our home in a tornado in 2005 and had to buy all new appliances. So, I bought a Maytag Neptune front load washer and dryer. It was my 1st ever. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again. Just at the end of the 5th year going into the 6th year, the bearings started to go. So, I checked with the place where we bought it and was told how expensive it would be to fix. It was anywhere between $500.00 and $700.00. Well, thats crazy. I therefore e-mailed Maytag numerous times and was thanked for my complaint. But they offered no help with this matter. If they dont back their stuff at all, why would I want to buy their stuff? They could have at least offered to help with it. There are only 2 people living in this house and there is no excuse why that washer should start failing already. If I thought it was worth it, I would load it up and drop it off at a Maytag store and leave it there. It still runs. But it makes an awful noise and we are just waiting for it to crap out. I am going to try to sell it for as much as I can get out of it, hopefully before it completely stops. Maybe some fix-it guy would want it. Well tell him whats wrong and they can fix it and sell it to some other poor person. I lost my job in January. Therefore, I cant afford that much to fix it. So, I will now have to try to find something used, because Maytag does not back their stuff. I would rate this machine lower if I could, but that wasnt an option.

It washes extremely well. Its reliable. The wifey loves it and thats enough for me!!! I have had no major mechanical issues. Since 2012 we use it heavily and every other day. I would purchase same brand if need be but Im confident that would probably be in 2024.

The Aqua lift cleaning system is a complete joke. Have had to replace oven light bulb 6 times in 11 months. Control panel is completely discolored. Expected far more from a Maytag product.

I bought your Maytag model MDB7749SBW1 dishwasher on May 22, 2013. We bought Maytag because of your reputation...not because of price. However, in September, 2014 (2 months out of warranty!!), the control panel stopped working. I called the 800 number and the best they could do is to extend the warranty for 6 months BUT only after we paid for repair and control board replacement. This is not cheap!!! We were furious. I looked if there were recalls on this model but there is not (should be). Anyway, after we paid for repairs and a new control panel put in ($160.00 +- for part itself), we were very cautious about touching anything on that dishwasher. YOU HAVE an issue with design and I can give you link after link of other customers who have expressed the same thing. So, here we are in 2017... About 2 months ago, we noticed the exact same symptoms with the control board.In fact the ONLY way we could start the dishwasher was to turn off the breaker, let it sit for 20 minutes - overnight and then turn back on and hit the start button. We lost all control over the settings. Only auto clean and delay 2 hours were working. Yesterday, I purchased yet another control board ($179 incl tax and shipping). I plan to install myself. If I could afford another dishwasher, I would do it and never buy Maytag again. Maytag really ought to be ashamed and if they were truly concerned they would offer these defective parts at a steep discount or better yet, recall. I plan on submitting something about this issue with any consumer group I can find. I guess the only way to spread the word and perhaps force a company to respond is to post on social media anymore. This is NOT a like.

I’ve had my electric glass top range for four years. Normal use. I set the temperature to 425 degrees to bake a potato. At the 225 degree mark, the oven bursts into flames. The fire burned itself out in about a minute. I turned the oven off and immediately went to google to see happened. I’m pissed! This stove is only four years old!

I have a Bravos washer model # mvwb45owqo and matching dryer. The price for the pair was $1347.00 plus tax. The washer and dryer were bought Jan 14 2010. 10-10-13 the pump went bad and was replaced. I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Maytag and I will never own anything that has the Maytag name on it again.

This fridge is a piece of crap. Bought brand new and right after warranty the freezer started freezing up and leaking all over the floor, ruined the wall behind the fridge which created mold as well as the puddle on the floor that multiple people in my home slipped and fell and it started shocking anyone who touches it. Called a repair man he says he doesnt know why its shocking probably is the manufacturers fault as well as the defect causing it to freeze up and leak. I call Maytag and the guy doesnt seem to care that my 7 year old has been shocked and says unplug it and I will just need a new fridge. I already spent the money on the new fridge. Why should I have to go buy a new one now after 2 years, that I cant afford. Its ridiculous how many other people are having problems. Its a defect and should be recalled and they should have replaced the crap fridge they sold me in the first place. You would think for such a big company they would do something but yet people are getting seriously injured and this seems like it should be taken to court for a lawsuit. I am extremely unsatisfied and wont ever buy a Maytag and will let all my family and clients through my cleaning business not to ever purchase a fridge from Maytag.

I have two major issues with my stove. First is that you have to press enter after setting an oven temperature and it doesn’t even beep to remind you before just cutting off. Older, forgetful people like me have probably prepared countless dishes for the oven only to find that it is not preheated. The second is that if you turn on the timer, it cuts off the oven. You only make that mistake once before writing the timer off as useless. I have a hard time believing that they ran either of these by anyone who cooks! One other mixed feature, the heating element for the oven is below the floor of the oven. This causes it to preheat slower - which compounds problem #1 - but makes cleaning a breeze.

I purchased my new refrigerator in 2005. Within 3 months, the bottom freezer went out. I had purchased warranty and it was fixed. Again, the fan went out 1 year later with the same exact problem. Now, it went out again 2 years later with the same exact problem. I called Maytag and they do not care. They are rude and simply will not fix this refrigerator. The warranty is gone and again, I have to pay for this constant problem. Why doesnt Maytag own up and service this problem. Didnt we pay for this? It wasnt given to us free. Someone needs to step up and gets it resolved for consumers. If legal action needs to bring this to their ignorance, so be it. We all have spent a great deal of money on a refrigerator and all they do is say, is “Too bad. How can any company continue to be in business and operate this way?

We have owned a Maytag Commercial Centennial washer for 4 years and made the mistake of not buying an extended warranty as we thought Maytag was dependable and a reputable company and thought the manufacturers 10 year limited warranty would cover us. Washer would not spin clothes properly, started making loud noises, lid would not always unlock as time went on, and finally it broke and soaked my tile and it ran through my wall into my hall carpet. Called Maytag and was told we didnt have a 10 year limited parts warranty 6 times (we still have the book that says we do), they offered us a 1 year full warranty for $320.00. We purchased the warranty 11/04/16, Called Maytag as no one knew where the parts were and was told service plan is through AIG. AIG couldnt tell us where the parts were either and when I asked for our refund and we just buy a new washer they advised me they would have to prorate it.Now I feel held hostage. Parts finally come in and Maytag Certified repair man comes to repair machine on 11/30/16, only to be told they could not fix our washer as the screws and transmission rotted and fused to tub. Call Maytag as this should be under my warranty and everyone insists I dont have a warranty. Filed complaint 11/30/16, they sent me a survey on 12/2/16 and I filed my complaint again on the survey. No call from Maytag. Call back on 12/06/16 to be told the survey was them closing my complaint. Now they escalate my complaint and will be called in 48 hours and give me an email address to email my pictures of my warranty. Surprise no call back, so I called them again 12/08/16 and I am advised it takes 3-5 business days. Ask for supervisor and he told me even if I have warranty they will only cover the basket.I will have to pay for technician, and other parts. Still no info on my complaint and you cant talk to anyone just have to wait. I emailed Jeff Fettig CEO of Whirlpool (Whirlpool owns Maytag) as well on 12/6/16 a copy of my complaint with pictures of warranty. The bottom line is Maytag sells junk and their customer service is worse than their product. After being without a washing machine since 11/04/16 we will be buying something Whirlpool does not own which is very limited which is why they can get away with making junk.

I got a Maytag Bravos 18 months ago and liked it at first. After using the washer for a while my towels were falling apart. Did not connect to the washer at first but I began to notice pulled threads on my towels. Talked to Maytag customer service who said they had never heard of the problem. She did say mix the towels with other clothes to prevent the problem. When I got this machine we had about two dozen good quality towels. Now I am down to maybe a half dozen. Those came from the six my Dad bought us for Christmas and I stashed away. The towels have pulled threads all over and will be completely destroyed soon.

I bought this washing machine 2 years ago or so. We have always bought Maytag. My mother still has hers she bought over 25 years ago and it still looks and works great. So my wife wanted a new washing machine so I said were going to get another Maytag. Boy did I screw up. What a piece of ** junk. Sounds like its grinding gears all the time, so loud. I close the door in the wash room and I can still hear my investment on a Maytag grinding my nerves because I spent so much on a product of a brand Maytag that I thought would be around for a while. Do not buy a Maytag.

I bought the Washer and Dryer. All I can say about this washer is that it does not use water enough to be considered a commercial type of washer. Its balance is poor also for being so deep. I have to pour a bit of water on the clothes so the sensor thinks it’s a heavy load and do an extra rinse. And I saw that on a video regarding this washer trick. But I’m wasting more water cause I have to rearrange the clothes when done. I put the top ones on the bottom and start over. To me it’s a waste of effort sometimes I just go to the laundromat. They should consider their products if we all are complaining about this they should really do something. To me the washer is really useless.

I bought a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749SBW2 in 2013. It worked great for 2 years. In 2015, the control panel malfunctioned. All the lights on the control panel would light up and the dishwasher wouldnt start. I called Maytag. They sent out a service tech. He replaced the control panel. I started having the same problems two years later, 2017. I called Maytag today, 9/11/17, to see if they had recalled this dishwasher. No, it hasnt been recalled. They offered to sell me a extended warranty for $400+, that would pay for the service call and parts or, I could find another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid dishwasher and depending on the model, I could get a 25-45% discount on a new one. I asked why they havent recalled this model, due to the problems that so many people are having. They dont know. Im writing this review to let those of you who have bought this dishwasher know, that the product is faulty.

We purchased a dishwasher (Maytag) two or three years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. The welds on the upper rack broke. The wheels on the low rack keep falling off. Water leak happened recently. The start button broke. My wife and I decided to just get a new one rather than keep sinking maintenance costs which are going to keep adding up.

We have had this dishwasher [Model MDB7749SBW2] for about 1 1/2 years now, and gave had a lot of trouble with it. It will run a cycle on its own without anyone even touching a button. My current problem is the start button wont work. I reset the dishwasher by pushing the series of buttons I found online to do a reset, and the start light lit up, but after the reset cycle was finished I tried to run a wash cycle and couldnt get the start button to do anything. Ive seen a lot of reviews online on this being common with Maytag brand dishwashers this old. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again nor would I recommend it to anyone as a good product. I am very frustrated and disappointed in Maytag!!!

I purchased a Maytag (as Maytag was always rated the Best) and from the start was not happy with the product. I contacted Maytag (Whirlpool, the makers of Maytag) and was told to get stains out, you had to pre-soak and scrub the area... really? Then I might as well just hand wash all of my clothes and hang to dry. I would not need a washer. My clothes do not come clean at all. DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG (or I think any washer Whirlpool makes as they do not back their products).Prior to this, I had a Whirlpool washer with agitator and loved the washer. Clothes were always clean, and I did not have to pre-soak stains for them to come clean. Go Figure! I have never been so disappointed in a washer or company. I am now looking to purchase a new washer as I have had it with this one... and it wont be a product made by Whirlpool.

I have owned this washer for three years and the smell in the entire area of my home is getting unbearable. I have used vinegar, clorox, and washer cleaner and I always leave the door open when the washer is not in use. My other complaint is that even a small amount of bleach cannot be used on clothes without causing bleach stains because it runs directly on the clothes before enough water is in the washer. The receptacle for softener also does not dispense the softener properly. I am very disappointed in this machine.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator model # 1TXEGMYWOO. The refrigerator part froze all of the food in it. We moved the temperature selector to the last place (two notches away from the recommended setting), and the food still froze. The furniture store we purchased it from replaced it with another refrigerator (same model). And that one did the exact same thing. We had to throw out more groceries. Obviously, this model is defective. We are now waiting for the store to replace this one (with a different model and brand). They have been very good about trying to make things right for us. Maytag, however, is a different story. They were very rude and indifferent when I called to complain. Their policy is to repair or replace the part (temperature gauge). I dont want a new part. This is a new product. And I bought it expecting it to work. I have had to throw hundreds of dollars worth of groceries away. I was very disappointed in their attitude. I will not purchase another Maytag item again. They used to have a good reputation. They now sell inferior products and do not stand behind their products.

I had the microwave serviced and they heated a cup of water which was fine. I heat food on the tray and only one side gets heated. I have to turn the plate to heat the rest of the food. I never had that problem with a turntable microwave. I cannot understand why they are still selling this inferior product. Maytag used to have excellent products. What happened to this company?

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher at Home Depot in October 2009. Recently, it made noises for a few months of laboring, and finally would not start.Maytag said it’s out of warranty and wanted $125 just to diagnose. Took it to my shop for $60 to diagnose and they found a faulty control panel.

Purchased matched set washer/dryer on May 21, 2013, machine always took over 1 hour to dry medium load of laundry, but dealt with it. On June 5, 2014 made a horrible bang, followed by a grinding sound, ran to turn off. Hubby took apart, thanks to Youtube video and found that a screw was lodged in the fan blade, had broken a tooth and the motor mount broken....took fully apart, ordered fan blade to replace. When went to put back together, realized the WALL (bulkhead) of the dryer was broken, metal was too thin to support the tiny bracket to hold the motor.Called Maytag, NO HELP, told me to call a local repair guy for an after warranty service. Called repair company and was told he has NEVER seen this in a newer model dryer, contact Maytag, contacted them again by live chat and told not under warranty and no one has ever had this problem. Do NOT buy anything from Maytag. THEY DO NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCTS! If you have had this problem contact me, Im willing to spend a day or two in small claims if necessary to prove my point!

This is the worse washing machine ever. Wish Id never have bought it. Clothes come out unclean, washer cleaner cycle doesnt work, water level is almost none, etc etc. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Coming here and seeing 100s of negative reviews and complaints many of which I suffer from as well, just clarifies how bad this machine really is. There has got to be a way to bring a class action lawsuit or arbitrary suit against them. Im pretty confident that there are probably 100s more who are dealing with this shoddy washing machine as we all are.

We have had the same problem as everyone else. We have the freezer on the bottom model. It started when the fridge was less than a year old, with water on the floor and ice buildup on the bottom of the freezer. Since then we have needed to have same repairman come at least 4 times because the top part suddenly gets very warm, food spoils, and water accumulates under the produce drawers. Our repairman has told us that newer models have improved design, but that doesnt help us. This fridge is now about 3 years old, bought it at Home Depot. This is unacceptable.

We have a 2 year old Maytag washer and dryer. 10 year warranty may I add. Well, we get 2 frantic calls that say, “They heard an explosion and the bottom of the house is flooded.” An explosion so violent that it shook our 3 story house and sounded like a bomb went off. Our washer and dryer are on the main floor. When we get there we found the washer top was dented so bad that it dented the bottom of the dryer that sat on top of it - blew the dryer door open! Blew the front of the detergent compartment and blew the side apart! Scared my mother and father in law who lives downstairs and who is bound to a wheelchair! Not to mention the fact that it flooded the basement and ruined the ceiling and Maytag says they will replace the washer! Are you serious? Who wants another washer which may or may not explode! What about the damage to my house! This just happened a couple of hours ago! We are very ticked off and not happy with We will replace the washer! Bad, bad business. This is not where it ends! I want my house repaired and won’t settle for anything less! Shame on you Maytag for putting profit above quality! Consumers beware!

Our Maytag Atlantis dryer had smoke coming out and almost had our house on fire! Had it not for us double checking the entire house would have burnt down! The dryer is less than 10 years old and already it is tearing apart. I cant risk using it again. Terrible company. I would never buy Maytag products ever again!

Maytag dishwasher model MDBH949AWW - I purchased a dishwasher thinking I was buying the best (laugh is on me). The date of purchase was 1/18/10, the control panel was replaced on 5-25-11 at no charge. On 10-15-12, the control panel failed again so I was forced to hand wash an entire load of dirty dishes. I used the dishwasher once a week. I am debating if it is worth it to repair it or replace it, in light of the fact that it could go out again the next year. Wish I had found this website before I made the purchase.

We have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator and after 2 years normal use it started leaking water onto the floor every day. After researching this problem I see that it is a widespread issue originating from an engineering mistake. I spent a weekend afternoon taking apart the freezer, clearing the frozen drain line, and putting it all back together. Im assuming this will keep happening every so often since it is a Design Flaw! Do yourself a favor and avoid Maytag!

Purchased a Maytag washer for my family of 8 because we do a lot of laundry and our Samsung washer failed after 3 years. I thought Maytag was a more reliable brand and was hopeful. The machine stopped working after less than 4 months of service. Manufacturers warranty repair came out and said it needed three new parts, motor, clutch and chip - said it would be another 2-3 weeks depending on parts. So all total without a washer for 4 weeks minimum - call the customer service people (first one was rude and short), 2nd one after 45 minutes on hold - told me the were no other options other than wait for the repair. Four months after a brand new washer and it failed. I requested a replacement option and they said no way. Their hotline talks about a positive customer experience and that seems to be a joke. Not helpful, super frustrated and they do not seem to care about the customer experience at all - terrible product and service

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in March 2013 and the control panel failed in July 2014. I, along with hundreds or thousands of others it seems, discovered that this is an extremely common issue with several models of Maytag dishwashers. Rather than standing behind their products and making it right for their customers, Maytag is hiding behind their one year warranty and refusing to do anything about it or even admit they installed thousands of FAULTY control panels. This has been an expensive, infuriating issue to deal with and I have never been so dissatisfied with a company. Bottom line, they made a bad product that should have been recalled. It blows my mind that they are getting away with this. I wish I had known the recent changes in Maytag/Whirlpool and I wish I had done my research prior to the purchase.

Not long after dishwasher MDB7609AWB2 was out of warranty the START switch on the keyboard would not work. Called dealer and they sent someone out to check for a charge not quite $100. Could not fix it so said it needed a new control panel which with labor was almost $200. Doesnt work so get it fixed. Now less than 3 years later the same thing has happened - wont start. Lousy engineering and part probably made in China to save Maytag money, I feel is the cause. This is happening over and over to those of us who purchased in good faith what used to be a reliable product from a reliable company.

My wife & I purchased our Maytag dishwasher model # MDBH979SAB1 on 3/8/13 from homedepot.com. Approximately 24.5 months later our dishwasher experienced control panel light button malfunctions similar in description to the many other consumer complaints on this & other forums. I would like to share some additional information based on my research about this issue and possible fix. The source of Whirlpools control panel issue is design related. The issue is caused from moisture which induces oxidation on the Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) cable that is integrated with the control panel and connects via connector to the electronic control box. The issue usually manifests itself on the cable just where it bends coming out of the touch membrane panel.The oxidization of the FPC cable eventually creates electronic shorts or opens between the parallel traces thus causing the panel control lighted function problem which disables the dishwasher from being used. The cable, since integrated with the control panel, is not a separate replaceable part. In order to repair, the Whirlpool diagnostic action is to replace the entire control panel. I quickly learned after doing some online research about Whirlpools control panel issue that it extends back to at least 2011 with control panel part # W10475784 and corresponding or like PNs of this design. The number of control panels sold of this design by various online appliance part centers coincide with the high number of reported like control panel failures.In just 2015 alone so far, the sales for this control panel have been in the hundreds. This indicates that Whirlpool continues to replace defectively designed control panels upon failure with defectively designed control panels. There was also a class action lawsuit filed against Whirlpool in the state of California on May 6th, 2013 for the control panel issue. The filed lawsuit is public & the whole document is available online as a pdf file. Unfortunately, Judge **, granted Stipulation to Dismiss Case with prejudice 74 on 5/23/14. I was unable to find out any details as to why the case was dismissed. I did not call Whirlpool about my control panel issue, instead I handled all correspondence through Email to them at WHIRLPOOL_CUSTOMEREXPERIENCE@WHIRLPOOL. COM.My initial correspondence included all the facts about this issue & that I did not wish to have their warranty coverage/period explained to me for I understood them, the problem was a quality issue, and just basically wanted to know what they were going to do or have been doing about resolution. The email correspondence with them got me nowhere. They initially replied back with all the form niceties like We apologize, We understand your frustration, & We value you as a customer, but denied every knowing about such control panel issue, regurgitated their warranty policy & period and were unwilling to resolve anything. In their last reply they stated how unfortunate it was that customers only take the time to provide negative feedback!! This is just bad business, and though I would not like to think it, but the control panel issue may have been by marketing design.Please keep in mind that Whirlpool manufactures appliances under at least 15 different name brands including Maytag, Kenmore, Admiral Kirkland, KitchenAid, Roper, Speed Queen to name a few. All is not lost, being an electronics engineer I looked into the do it yourself fix. If you are not comfortable in doing this, you may be able to find someone to help. I was able to repair mine by carefully scraping off the oxidation from the FPC cable (will appear brown in color) & encapsulating it with high density 100% dampening silicon (non-caulk type) to protect it from moisture & withstand heat. There can be other ways of protecting it from moisture instead of silicon, just make sure it can withstand heat, wont become brittle, & that it may not cause potential damage to the cable itself.My repair has worked for about 4 weeks now, & shows no sign of oxidizing. The problem may be more severe if the oxidation has actually opened or broke one or more of the small cable traces. Do not attempt to solder this cable! Its way too thin & will only make matters worse. An open can be carefully bridged with a conductive glue or ink thats on the market. One source is a window defogger repair kit product thats sold at auto stores that has a conductive glue in it. Post open repairs will need to be checked with an ohm meter to make sure repair is good and that any adjacent trace lines have not been shorted by repair. Of those of you that have just bought or had installed Whirlpools defective control panel, please encapsulate the FPC cable as soon as possible to protect it from moisture. If you dont, it will surely oxidize again over time.

We purchased our Maytag Washer back in August of 2019 and already needs a Motherboard and Lid replacement. Not only do you have to wait almost an hour to get a hold of their customer service I got hung up on once after waiting that long and the a Customer Service Lead by the name of Brittany couldnt offer any help either. We have been without our washer for almost a month now and will have to wait another couple weeks for the part to come in on top of probably another week for a maintenance person to come out and repair. I asked to expedite the part but that went absolutely nowhere. It actually added time to get the part because it was suppose to be here on the 13th but now its up to 9 business days for that to happen. I would stay away from purchasing any appliance from Maytag with the experience we have gone through and terrible customer service as well.

Im another Maytag dishwasher dissatisfied victim. The control panel stopped working within 12 months and replacement stopped working after one year, which they say is not covered under the warranty. They make rubbish which are disposable and have lifetime of one year.I feel we have to stop Maytag misrepresenting their garbage and basically defrauding us by selling substandard items to unsuspecting consumers. If you have been victim of Maytag lets join together. I would like to start a group to take a class action lawsuit against Maytag. I am very angry and feel they have to be stopped. All Maytag says in response is to try to sell me a one-year insurance. With the rubbishy quality of their products, they probably make more money from selling insurance than their substandard equipments.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in 9/2006. I was happy with it until 12/10 when it smoked and almost caught fire in the middle of the night! Luckily, I have a GFI circuit breaker and it shut the dishwasher off before it burned my house down. After researching on Google, I found out that my dishwasher had been recalled as a fire hazard, and I was never notified by Maytag. I called Maytag from my house phone and the automated system knew my name and address immediately just by me calling -- so they could have easily notified me but they chose not to.I ended up getting a voucher to purchase a new dishwasher (model: MDB7709AWB2). The one year warranty has literally just expired, and the Start/Resume, and the Cancel/Drain buttons no longer work. The replacement parts from Maytag cost $212.37, and that price does not include the price to get it installed from a service technician -- add on another $100-$200 depending on where you live. This is a known problem, and seems to repeat yearly! Another annoying thing about this dishwasher is the wheels on the racks. They dont glide easily and they constantly get off the track. I hate this dishwasher and I will never purchase another product from Maytag/Whirlpool/Jenn-Air again!

We purchased a Maytag Centennial washing machine from a local business here in Knoxville in 2013. My previous Maytag lasted seven+ years and I was very happy with it. It began to leak water and after two times of having water on the floor, we decided it had worn out and purchased another washer. We immediately wanted another Maytag since our previous one has lasted for quite a while. We bought the new Maytag Centennial washing machine in the Spring of 2011. This is May of 2013 and we have had to purchase another washing machine since the electrical board in ours went out. The replacement part is listed at $300+ and that is without labor to install. Needless to say, I am very unhappy that I have had to purchase another washer so soon... and did not buy a Maytag this time.

We purchased a Maytag front load washer and matching dryer in 2007. In 2010, the main control board of the washer broke down. We spent $450 to replace it.In 2014, the washer stopped working. The dryer started producing horrid odor when we used it. We replaced both with LG recently. We NEVER buy or recommend Maytag products. Stay away from Maytag. I purchased a Maytag Bravo washing machine item # 26 23872 for $617.69 on 11-23-11 and it was delivered and set up on 12-02-11. My problem is if you have dirty sweaty clothes, you cannot get them clean with such little water. I used the HE detergent as directed. I talked to a woman at the local Sears Appliance store this morning, 7-11-12, about it. She said I need to use Affresh. So I did clean my washer but with a similar brand and my clothes are still stinky. I have even washed an empty load or two with bleach and hot water. I make sure I wash with hot water and completely dry my clothes.When you take a bath and dry yourself off with a towel, it smells like a musty basement. I am allergic to mold. I cant even take a wash cloth, get it wet and wash my face without wanting to throw up from the smell. I have had guest comment on the towels as well. Its embarrassing. The problem is you cannot clean something with an inch of water in the machine. I am 58 years old and now have to do the wash. I went to the store and asked if we could return it for an exchange or anything like a discount on a new one and she would not budge. She said it had to be within 90 days but 90 days was in the middle of winter and I was not having dirty sweaty clothes from doing outdoor yard work.Now that summer is here, 7 months later, my clothes have been smelly for a few months. I cant take it anymore. I showed the woman that I had been to Lowes and had an estimate of 10% off with free delivery, set up and haul away. She said she could do 15% but when you add on the delivery fee, it was higher than Lowes. I purchased my whole upgraded kitchen stainless steel appliances for about $7,000 and this set of washer/dryer but Sears could not help me out? What a disappointment that a loyal customer such as me could not at least get free delivery on a new washer. I went right back to Lowes and ordered the same machine I wanted Sears to sell me matching Lowes price.So now, I am stuck with a 7- to 8-month-old machine still in the one year warranty that is like new but is a worthless piece of junk as my clothes all stink. Run, dont walk if someone tries to sell you a low water HE machine. I tried sending this letter to searsinfo.com corporate office and it is rejected even though the website gives you that address.

I have a Maytag side by side. In the first year, the ice maker failed and I had to replace it (in warranty/no charge). In the fifth year, the compressor failed (no warranty) and it hasnt been replaced. Since then, I have been looking at reviews and warranties of new refrigerators. The warranties (unless you want to pay $3,000+) are all one year limited. The reviews are scathing and it doesnt matter what brand. My question is, why dont you/we all get together and file a class action suit and demand millions in damages? Complaining wont get you anywhere with these people; however, hitting them in the pocket book will make them pay attention, especially if the penalty is severe enough.

My washing machine is a Maytag Ive been using for over 27 yrs. I love the older, top loading machines because I like to take certain items out after 5 or less minutes. Model # MF12269VEQ1 French doors with bottom freezer - This refrigerator was purchased March 2011 and it is forming a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. We tried unplugging it overnight to see if it would correct itself and it hadnt. I googled this complaint and called the manufacturer to see if there was a recall. It seems a lot of people are having this problem. Several comments are to pour hot water in the drain plug or use a blow dryer to to the plug; however, you have to disassemble the whole bottom freezer, then unscrew the back to get to the drain plug. I feel this is a defect in this refrigerator.This unit was approx. $1600.00 and should not be having this type of problem. Who knows if I could actually get to it to try these things, that it could keep recurring. Im very upset as my husband and I are seniors on a fixed budget. We bought the name Maytag because we thought they built good products.

We purchased a Maytag washer model MVWC400XWO almost 2 years ago and it has problems with the bearings and the whole computer board is defective. I was told to buy the extended warranty for $350, which we did. As of today, we were told by extended warranty they are refunding our money because there are so many things wrong with this washer, including the whole computer board, that it would cost them too much to fix or replace it. Im in complete shock. We paid well over $500 and are still making payments on it. I spent the day reading hundreds of reviews from people with these exact same problems and Maytag is aware of it and will not help. They should not be selling these anymore. Im completely sick to my stomach. I cant afford another washer and when I called Maytag, they said it was past the year and we are out of luck. I cant believe this can happen to people and they get away with it. A washer should last longer than 2 yrs.There are hundreds of people going through this with Maytag and no one will help.

We owned the washer for 2 years and 2 days when we got a code F70. After searching online, I found hundreds, if not thousands, of reviews and self-help forums that show this product is in dire need of a recall. The problem I had is the motor control unit (MCU), which is a $225 to $275 part online. However, Maytag will only replace the board under extended warranty with a refurbished board that they say costs $330, whereas they say the new one is over $600. Why is it that Maytag charges double what everyone else charges? If so many people are having these problems, it is obviously a defect and should not be the consumer’s responsibility. It is obvious that this is too common of a problem.

Purchased a Maytag smooth-top range about a year and a half ago. Ive only cooked frozen pizzas in it. Have only had it on six or seven times. Havent used the top burners at all. Its an electric range, and I just had it hooked up a couple of months ago, as I was trying to find a place for it in the tiny kitchen. The folks who lived here before me, had a huge refrigerator and gas stove right next to each other, and I didnt want to go that route. Anyway, I went to put yet another frozen pizza in the oven, and the light doesnt work!So, after only six or seven uses, the oven light is busted! My mom had an old Westinghouse Terrace Top range, and it lasted well over 20 years with no problems. The only reason she sold it was because she remodeled her kitchen. It still worked great after all those years. Its after-hours now, but when I call Maytag tomorrow, Im expecting to get the run-around, if the other reviews are accurate, and Im SURE they are. Wont ever buy another Maytag product again.

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

We bought a Maytag Centennial Washer in 2011. 6 months ago the control board went bad. Maytag has an exorbitant replacement price! I went to Ebay and bought a NEW board for 1/7th of the price Maytag wanted. The old board was marked revision B. The new board is revision F! That indicates to me that the board was defective when it was new and they have made 5 attempts since then to fix it! No recalls however. Now the motor is shot. I found out the motor from Australia is also inferior! So this 5 year 3 month old POS Maytag is going to the dump! We will shop for something made outside the US. No not a Samsung. I think there should be a class action suit against Maytag.

Maytag Bravos Series 300 - I bought this machine less than a year ago. There is an awful smell coming from the machine that I never smelled from any other washer I have owned. The clothes do not look, feel or smell clean, and my towels are ripped. It is an extra large washer, yet when blankets are put in the machine bounces and shifts. After reading all the reviews, it seems I am not alone in my concern with a machine that was not only expensive, but was told it is a great product. Maytag needs to do the right thing and recall this machine.

Our Maytag dishwasher was just past the 1-year mark when the control panel stopped working. A certified Maytag repair service came out to diagnose just that and charged us $89. Maytag sent the user interface out to us, and my husband noted that there was absolutely no way that the part could be installed wrong. The wires could only go one way. The repair service (DSM Appliance Service) wanted another $120 to install it. We installed it, and it still doesnt work. Maytag will no longer assist us in any way. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. After investigating, I see that this control panel issue has happened many, many times; and I wonder why there hasnt been something done about it.

Maytag washer, dryer, oven, microwave over-the-range - all crapped out in four years. I will never buy or recommend Maytag. I believed them to be one of the best brands but apparently theyve learned a few too many shortcuts.

Maytag fridge is a overpriced, ticking repair bomb. The fridge had issues with the compressor, control board (motherboard) and relay switch within a 12-month period. Customer service is weak in troubleshooting techniques and try to send the file over to a repairman. The repairman will show up at $80/hr + other fees and parts costing you approx $500, and still uncertainty that this fridge can breakdown at any time. Final advice: DONT BUY.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWB2 in Dec. 2011 from Home Depot after a major flood destroyed my entire first floor of my house. I had replaced a previous dishwasher only a short time before the flood. This dishwasher is JUNK. I was lucky I bought a five year extended warranty on it which actually gave me 6 years. I needed it. Within a year the control panel went. Then water started spraying out the side of door. Then it sounded like it was crushing ice every time I ran it. Then the control panel went out again. Ice noise came back again. Control panel a 3rd time. It runs for hours as it is.Now the warranty is expired and last time I ran it the start light was blinking a few hours later. We were having high winds on and off so I thought maybe the power went on and off and that’s why it was blinking. Today I turned it on and after about 45 minutes I realized I didn’t hear it running anymore so I got up and looked and sure enough it wasn’t on. Normally the clean light is lit when done. I opened the dishwasher to see it filled with water still. I tried to hit cancel/drain but nothing works yet again. Wonderful news for a single mom that can’t afford to fix this over and over! Maytag is the worse company. Their dishwashers are horrible and they should be doing something about this as I’m not the only one that has had this issue. Home Depot was just as useless. Will NEVER buy again.

Model# MVWB850WQ0, Serial# CY4070329, Type 580-02. Bought this Commercial Technology washer 2-1/2 years ago thinking the commercial model would be heavy duty. It was only heavy on the wallet. The washer started to emit a loud roaring sound two weeks ago that never happened before. It happens on spin cycle. We cant even have a normal conversation in the house. After reading similar problems and outrageous cost to repair, Im leaning to look for a replacement without the Maytag label. My 10+ year old Sears Kenmore didnt have any problems. My mistake was to replace it with a more efficient washer. I guess New+Efficient doesnt equal long lasting for Maytag. You would think a major manufacturer would put in heavy duty bearings in a washing machine. Heck, maybe the bearings are heavy duty but design shortens bearing life. Enough time spent on Maytag. Stay away!

Purchased MAYTAG DISHWASHER MDB7809awm in 2011 for $719. In 06/2013 the far right 3 buttons stopped working. I contacted Maytag to see if there was an issue with this and they reported that there was not. I had the part replaced in 06/2013 at $280. It cost me 1/3 of the purchase price of the dishwasher. The repairman said that he sees this a lot with Maytag control panel issues.On 08/02/14 the same exact issue occurred. I contacted Maytag online on 08/02/14 and didnt hear back until 8/13/14 to say that there was no known issue and all they could do was recommend a repairman. I also called before I heard back via email and they said the same exact thing, there is no known issue and we can do is recommend a repairman. I am not interested in repairing. Been there, done that. Not doing it again. I researched the issue of the 3 far right buttons not working and there are several forums and discussion topics out there. I find it hard to believe that MAYTAG is not aware of this issue. If you GOOGLE the model you will see the same issue. Not only is the MAYTAG product poor, but they have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

We purchased this brand new Maytag dishwasher (Model MDB7749) from Home Depot July 30, 2013. Now a little more than 18 months after purchase the control panel is out. Some lights blink, several go on at the same time. Tried resetting by removing then reinserting power plug (that worked once before, a couple of months ago,) but nothing works. Pretty much the same defect and problem I am seeing with other folks with these Maytag dishwashers. I saw online that a Sears outlet was selling these same model Maytag units for 48% off...Well, now I know why. My older Maytag appliances lasted many years. My Maytag washing machine was replaced two years ago, and it had lasted 14 years. I guess they simply do not build them like they used to. I should of just bought a cheaper model for 3-400 bucks, would of got the same use out of it. Does anybody know of a brand and model dishwasher today that is reasonably priced, dependable and has some longevity to it? I will call for service on this, but Im not spending hundreds of dollars on a defective engineering flaw, throwing good money after bad. Besides, the repair would probably only give me a 30-90 day warranty anyway. Learned my lesson. I will never buy another Maytag product again...Ever. This dishwasher was here when we bought our home. It has been heating up way too much on the drying cycle. I turn it off and air dry the dishes but today I noticed it melted my plastic measuring cup. I had the heat turned off and opened it as soon as it started the drying cycle.

Our front load washer is two weeks past the one year warranty and need $650 in repairs! I will never purchase a Maytag product again. My last Maytag was 19 years old when we got this new front loader for energy efficiency. You dont save money when you have to replace it after one year.

My Bravos XL is worthless!!! This lack of agitator design is totally ineffective. Dark clothes come out with white powder on them and I use the liquid detergent. Whites I soak with detergent and bleach then full wash cycle. Still stains on dish towels and socks. Never had a problem with the old agitator Maytag. And yes the wrinkle free cycle creates wrinkles. Deep water wash is only cycle that even comes close to cleaning and its far from perfect. Horrible waste of money, buyers beware!!! I thought all those negative reviews were overblown and since I couldnt find a large enough machine with an agitator, I ignored warnings and bought this garbage. Matching dryer is fine.

Keep having the problem, the display panel tells me to close the door when the door is closed. I had a repairman repair it. 2 months later it started happening again. Im buy another microwave. It doesnt make sense to have it fixed again.

I think that I finally figured out a way around the piece of junk Maytag sold me. I bought a Maytag french door, stainless, yada, yada refrigerator in 2006. When it broke down, see later description, the first several times it was ok because of the warranty. This POS has failed 7 times requiring $300+ to fix every time. When contacted about the issue, the people at Maytag seem happy. The business model is working perfectly. There goes another sucker. The refrigerator begins its eventual breakdown with the door alarm light and sound beeping constantly. Beeping that continues for days and weeks. The next progression to failure continues with it not beeping anymore but now the interior lights do not light when the refrigerator is opened. Finally, the refrigerator stops cooling entirely and it is dead.Now, Maytag no longer wants anything to do with it so you need to call a repair man. When the repair man arrives, the entire time he talks about what a piece of junk Maytag is. They, every time, at first think it is the switches and replace them. This NEVER fixes the issue. Next, they have to replace the computer brain. $400 to fix. EVERY TIME. Now, at least every year. If you buy Maytag and have a similar experience, get your wallet out. Sell you junk then dont stand behind it.

I bought a Maytag Bravos from Home Depot back for around $1000 in Nov. 07. After 3 yrs, the whole tub assembly had to be replaced but I had bought a warranty so that was taken care of but it was out of service for about 2 months while I waited for parts. Now every time I use it, I get the OL on the control panel and it wont spin without getting out of control and stopping. Washers in the past have lasted me at least 15 yrs and cost less than half that much. I will never buy another Maytag ever. This is what happens when companies merge and quality is no longer important. I think the stock market ruins companies. Im currently looking for the best quality, large capacity washer on the market. I will pay more for quality but thats what I thought last time.

Wish there was some way to secure all dishwasher under the cabinets better. It tips forward slightly, but gets caught on counter top, so it won’t fall over. The dishwasher itself is truly amazing. I love the stainless steel inside. I ensure I use the dishwasher cleaner on hottest cycle once a month. I have no odors. Both racks hold up well and the silverware tray has never given me any problems. I even like the thin little third top rack, which is where I lay my larger flat knives or spatula. As long as I use the finish dishwasher cleaner, the dishes come out sparkling. And a few times I have forgotten to fill the finish container, the dishes still sparkle. My teenagers do the dishes a few times a week. They don’t wash them off ahead of time. On occasion I have to pick a few pieces of corn or food out of the bottom, but the dishes still sparkle and the leftover food caught on the drain, well it looks clean enough to eat. I would definitely buy it again.

Weve had this washer for five months now and really regret buying it. It cannot remove even minor stains and often leaves residue on clothes, even with extra rinsing. I spilled coffee on some fleece pajamas and it took four washings to get the smell out.

Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. I bought a Maytag refrigerator, model MBF2258XEW, March 2013. Bottom freezer, single door. The past 3 or 4 weeks I have been noticing water occasionally puddling on the floor at the freezer. The ice maker has never been hooked up, with no problem before now. I recently noticed that my wood floor is darkening in a spot that often gets wet. After reading some of these complaints it appears I am not alone experiencing water problems with something that is sold on its reputation for being trouble-free. I also see that I should expect to pay a few hundred dollars out of my pocket to fix the problem. Very disappointing.

I purchased a set of Bravos 4 months ago and what a bad purchase! I wish I would have researched here first. Being environmentally concerned, I bought it because it was supposed to be high efficiency and low water usage. My clothes are being destroyed by this machine. They come out in a massive tangled ball, covered in ink and animal hair (after a wash or two, they are completely embedded into the fibers). Sometimes there are dry spots after I take a load out of the washing machine. No idea how that could happen. It torn my favorite sweater, ripped sheets, bore a hole in a towel, ripped pillows, and DOESNT EVEN CLEAN! I have to wash my clothes twice MANY times to get the dirt out which doesnt bode well for energy efficiency. Im calling them again today to try and get them returned for advertising that they will save me money. Not even close! They are a rip off! I gave my 35 year old set away and wish I had it back! Maytag is JUNK!!!

I purchased an over the range microwave (OTR), boxing day 2018. It failed January 2021. It worked great before failing. The issue with Maytag/Whirlpool is their service. I told them before they came out that I was only interested in having it fixed if it could be done that day. They checked that they had the parts and said they could do it, so I moved forward with the appointment. Well they didnt fix it, and said that they need to order a part, which they said would take several weeks. They are trying to bill me the service fee $167, and expect me to wait a month or possibly more to get the part and fix the microwave. Now Im faced with having to pay a service fee for something not fixed and buying a new microwave. Lesson: Never try to repair, cheaper to buy a new product. Other lesson, never buy Maytag or Whirlpool product again. Despite what is on their website and advertising, they have terrible customer service.

I have a Maytag Neptune (model number MAH5500BWW and serial number 85981207AE). On February 22, 2012, the washer started smoking and a burn smell was apparent. Fire department was called. They pinpointed issue to the washer. On February 23, 2012, I spoke with Brenda from the Safety Department. She prioritized a diagnosis from a local certified technician. On February 24, 2012 , the technician diagnosis was defect motor and control runs hot after load. Then Lorna from the Safety Department stated they will not cover part/labor.Machine is

Maytag Dishwasher model MDBH989AWB3. The dishwasher was purchased at Home Depot March 19, 2010 in Hollywood, FL; delivered to our new home April 16, 2010 in Brunswick, ME. My complaint is the exact same complaint as the previous 28 complaints! I think the reason our unit worked for 6 yrs is because it was in use only 6 months a year. My experience: you make your selection, two lights come on, you press start, but nothing happens. You think this is a simple repair. You read the manual and try their troubleshooting advice, but to no avail. When you contact the company, they tell you that this is going to be an expensive repair, probably over $500. You contact Home Depot who want nothing to do with you or your dead dishwasher. Their advice: contact the Maytag company. You contact local appliance repairmen and they will repair it at a cost of over $500. You offer the unit to the repairman for free; he declines. He suggests you check the online Consumer Affairs site. It is on that site that you realize the dead dishwasher belongs where one brings other dead things: the dump. I will NEVER buy another Maytag product. I would suggest no one else does either, unless you want to practice your skills in dealing with frustration or you want to throw $693.40 to the wind and watch it flit away helplessly. I bought a Maytag dishwasher in 2019 in Home Depot for my new home. The dishwasher stopped washing dishes after two years and 6 months. The price of the new machine was 700$ and I did not buy the extended warranty. The trouble is circulation pump, that cost to install the new one from local service would be about 350$ plus the new pump 150$. I consider quality is very poor if the new dishwasher works only two years and then it is better to buy a new item than fix the old one. Never never buy Maytag production.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer 2 years ago and it is the worst washer I have ever used. My clothes are never clean. It is always out of balance and is so slow and takes forever to do a load of laundry. It has started stopping on spin and have to unplug it to get it started back then it sounds like a jet coming in for a landing and has to restart the spin about 3 or 4 times before it ever finishes. I have had the repairman to look at it and says there is not anything wrong with it, but something has to be wrong for it to stop on spin and have to unplug it for 5 mins. in order for it to reset itself and start again.

I purchased a Maytag top load HE Bravo 700 3 yrs ago. I only wash 3 loads of laundry a week and the bearings went bad in the washer! Maytag/Whirlpool will do nothing to help me because they say I should have purchased the extended warranty. Well there is NO WAY that I could have worn out those bearings; it was a manufacturing defect that caused them to fail and hundreds of people online all say they have the same issue. The repair cost is $400 and would only have a 90-day warranty so I might as well purchase a new washer. Home Depot (where I purchased the washer) has been very helpful and is offering me help on the purchase of a new washer, but even they could not get Maytag to do the right thing and repair my Bravo. I am going back to a none HE machine with an agitator. This has been a horrible experience and Maytag has no business putting commercials on TV that say they are dependable.

Dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Deep Water cycle of Maytag Model #MVWX655DW0. Cycle produces low water thereby resulting in inadequate cleaning of clothes. Choosing another cycle to wash a particular load doesnt match what is recommended.

Within 1 month Maytag sent 2 repairmen to repair my microwave. I paid $271.20 for the repair and part. The same 2 parts used the first 2 times were ordered again and I was told that Maytag could not get them again. The service and parts are supposed to be guaranteed for 3 months. Maytag refuses to refund me; offering me 15% off a new purchase. I would not buy from Maytag. They lost a customer.

I have a Maytag dishwasher MDBH980AWQ10, within the 1st month of owning it there were issues. Now the electronic control panel is shot, dishwasher wont turn on. To replace it...almost the cost of what I paid, warranty has run out. In the last 7 years we have had problems with 5 various Maytag products, replaced our Maytag dishwasher which lasted 20 yrs and Maytag washer & dryer that lasted 30+ years and ran without a hitch. Maytag has not been helpful at all and their authorized service repair. A&E Repair Service is a bigger scam than they are. It is a waste of my finances and time to buy major appliances every 5 years. Each and every one of their new appliances has died shortly after all the warranties have run out. Im beyond frustrated, disgusted, and financially drained. It does not pay to be brand loyal to Maytag for they are no longer respectful nor appreciative of their customers. I would love to give corporate the opportunity to enjoy the same products that are in my home...in their homes...as well as the experience of their customer service. Last Maytag purchase for me! Is there anything that I can do in the meantime so Im not stuck with their lemons?

This is the WORST washing machine I have ever had. You cannot control how much water goes into the machine and the clothes being washed are not even covered by water. They stick out above the water at least a few inches!!! How can anything get clean if no water is touching it! I even add water into the machine at the beginning with jugs of water just to cover the clothes... the machine automatically gets rid of that extra water and when the wash cycle comes on again the clothes are not submerged! I paid A LOT of money for this awful machine and Maytag needs to do something about it! And, yes there is a sticky gummy substance on all the dark clothes! I even put clothes in the washer with a dirt spot on it purposely and the spot is always there when the wash is done. Nothing gets clean! DO NOT BUY this machine... you will be very sorry!!!

I have a major complaint with the Maytag double oven design. With the smaller oven above, if you spill any liquid while taking something out of the top oven, the liquid drips down between the two panes of glass on the lower oven door. This makes it impossible to clean. Maytags reply - call a service rep and have him make a house call and take the door apart for you and clean it. Not warranty work so I would have to do this every few months. Also, when baking in the upper oven, cakes and cookies tend to overcook on the bottom as the dishes are so close to the element.

Well, I thought I was buying quality products dishwasher and refrigerator and both are very disappointing. Of course the Maytag dishwasher (MBD7749AWB2) really upsets me since I just bought it in Aug of 2011. Now it will not finish a load of dishes and I did what the lady at Maytag told me. She said it was the control board. But it is not the control board. It is still working the same as it was. Now what should I do? Fridge model # MSF25D2EAB00. I have had the fridge 3 years and 2/3 shelves have crumbled to pieces, the compressor has gone, the ice bucket crumbled, the ice maker stopped working, once ice maker was fixed it got stuck on crush, and now I am trying to order another shelf because it has also crumbled like the rest and this is in a household of 1 person! I am just getting the run around... I have been redirected to 3 different numbers now (800-344-1274, 866-368-6478, and 877-468-2371) and now I had a rude customer service rep so I asked if I could speak with someone else and I am now on eternal rot on hold. Pretty sure he didnt even transfer me and Im just sitting on hold on his line while he is laughing. Time to hang up and try again another day. #un**believableI was also told that if I purchased the extended warranty plan that it would cover the crappy shelves in the future so I did and now they are telling me it doesnt cover them and it only gives me a discount on them. MAYTAG YOU OWE ME A NEW FRIDGE... THIS ONE IS A LEMON! I have no clue what my order number is or where my receipt is at the moment but I could get a copy Im sure because I purchased it on my HomeDepot credit card so if you want it let me know and I will provide it to you then.

Purchased this Calypso machine as a second machine for my ranch to handle really dirty clothes. Purchased from Sears Outlet as a refurb machine would be fine for the purpose. Machine was alleged to work by Sears. Paid several hundred for the machine, brought it home, and voila it does not work. New hoses, ran all the checks, and will not fill. Called Sears and, despite the statements of the manager, was told that I have to have a 3 day old machine repaired and not replaced. This POS did not even work out of the box. Years ago I had a Calypso which is now a flower pot. Junk, Junk, Junk. NEVER buy anything from Maytag or Whirlpool.

I HATE this washer. It had such good reviews before I bought it, but I have never been so disappointed. Doesnt use NEARLY enough water to get anything clean, even when I try deep water wash, bedding, or power wash. You cant switch modes in the middle of a load, and if you leave it paused too long, it drains on you. Ive tried balling everything up as the manufacturer advised. I tried using less detergent, again as advised. Nothing works. Sometimes the clothes on top dont even get wet. Dont waste your money!! If I can find a way to fix my old washer, Im going to do that and throw this thing to the junk heap.

This is a continuing aggravation! On July 27, I discovered the dishwasher (MDB7600AWW) tub had developed a crack in the bottom right rear and had warped my countertop and the floor under it was full of water! I called the appliance store where it was purchased and was told to call Maytag. I have a 20-year warranty on the tub with free replacement of the unit if it fails. I called Maytag and was told we needed a service call to verify. I scheduled it for July 30, and 3 minutes and $75 later, yup, tub is cracked. Its a known problem, and the dealer has already replaced some for customers. I called Maytag to get the ball rolling for replacement. I spoke with Jennifer and was told shed get back to me.Meanwhile, we went to several stores, checking out other Maytag models. So, Id have some idea of what was available as a replacement. I called Jennifer on July 31 with a suggested model Id find as a suitable replacement. She said shed check and get back to me. On August 13, I called Jennifer for some answers, got the voicemail, and left a message. On August 14, I went online to chat. Finally, I was told Id have a replacement in 10-12 days. Id be contacted to schedule installation. On August 16, I called a local dealer again. He cant understand the problem. Hed replaced two others in a few days. He made some calls for us and gave us the name and phone for the company replacing the dishwasher as well as the work order. Installation was tentative for August 23. (Hed been cut out completely!)I called Optimus Solutions, and theyre awaiting shipment. Tentative installation was on August 23. On August 22, theres still no word. I called Maytag customer service. Sorry, it was shipped to the wrong address, so it was shipped back! Its now in transit and supposed to be delivered to Optimus Solutions today but not being scheduled for installation until August 31!This has become one nightmare after another with everyone pointing the finger at the next guy. Phone calls get only the same runaround. No, speaking to a supervisor wont help - theyll tell me the same thing. Isnt that convenient! Meanwhile, Im still washing dishes by hand and having psoriasis on my hands, which are like two pieces of raw meat right now. It is beyond aggravation; its bordering on torture! (No, I cant wear gloves. They make my hands sweat and even more sore!) Besides, I shouldnt be washing dishes by hand. I paid for a dishwasher that failed through no fault of my own, and now, Im being punished for purchasing it. I can guarantee that if I had no warranty and had to replace this dishwasher, it would have been replaced immediately!Never again. I purchased all Maytag products for my new home. As they fail, I can guarantee I will not be replacing them with Maytag or Whirlpool, which now owns Maytag. I will be telling everyone who will listen to stay away from Whirlpool and Maytag, because their customer service sucks big time.

This washing machine is good for cleaning clean clothes, like stuff you wear one day at a desk job. But nothing dirty. Its really bad. Dont fill it either, nothing will get clean. 1/2 full or less. If you put too much clothing in there it will leave lint and other debris all over them. Also, dont use granular detergent, it wont dissolve or rinse out. Liquid detergent only. Weve had it for about two years, and its a constant disappointment. A total waste of money. Really annoying. I have to get rid of it. Its almost completely useless.

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

First we design the cheapest, flimsiest drawer possible on the bottom of the stove. Then we mount it on cheap plastic guides on a flimsy metal track. What a joke! Listen, drawers have been around over 700 years. If you cant do better than that, you need to look for another line of work.

We bought the Maytag washer from Home Depot on 5/4/2011 and it quit working on about 7/2014. We had a repairperson look at it and he said the drive transmission is worn out. He recommended that we buy a different machine since the part does not hold up since the part is made out of a plastic fiber material that does not show up. We bought the Maytag because we thought they had good products but a 3 year life on a wash machine is not acceptable. It is installed at our cabin so we only use it part of the year on limited bases.

Same problems as everyone else. Water not soaking the clothes, questionable load capacity, shaky (we have engineers in the house so there is no way they did not look for floor evenness as the stores/Maytag will tell you that you may not have done, complete bs) etc. Its absolutely horrible that were all now stuck with such a terrible machine. I really wish I had read these reviews before (I googled the machine earlier but got generic stuff and didnt stumble upon these reviews until much later). Maytag should take responsibility on this as retail stores do not take back appliances unless they are defective. The Bravos is definitely a defective product from the get-go though.

I bought a Maytag Bravos washer in March 2015. Over the summer I had two items, both cotton t-shirts come out of the washer badly stretched and torn. Other items have come out badly stretched, but not destroyed. After the second shirt was destroyed, I called Maytag (Sept. 2015). A young man was sent over. He ran the diagnostic, finding nothing wrong. He did not check the agitator. He reported back that it must be the way I loaded the machine. I use the Normal and Active Wear settings, leaving the center clear. My loads are very small. Under these conditions items should not get caught. Maytag stands by their claim that it is my fault. I only figured out what was actually happening when I saw an item caught.

You would be better off going to the river and washing your clothes with rocks. Piece of junk. Maytag will have you believe that the six inches of water this washer uses to clean a comforter is enough. I would like to know which individuals in the dept of energy thought this water saving feature was a novel idea. What use is a giant washer tub if it doesn’t have enough water. Sorry Maytag, my clothes used to come out clean with your old model, now I spend hours trying to figure out ways to get this washer to clean. Currently I am using the clean washer cycle for my comforters and then using the deep water cycle. So it takes about four hours to do a load of clothes. Thanks Maytag! This Maytag Bravos XL washer stinks.

Maytag Dryer is a complete piece of junk. First repair at 13 months, second repair at 15 months. I would throw it away but like a fool I bought the washer. Fingers crossed. Stay away from Maytag, total junk.

Do not buy a Maytag Washer. I had a Maytag for 25 yrs with only 1 repair in its 23rd yr. When it finally retired at age 25, we replaced it with another Maytag assuming it would also last long. No chance. We had only 2 good yrs. Now, at 2 yrs old, it is so so loud during the spin cycle that it sounds like an airplane (757) is flying overhead at 50 ft above the roof... No way can we possibly use the washer if anyone in the house is sleeping. Repairs cost more than the initial price of the washer. Please do yourself a huge favor and buy another brand. There are too many complaints about Maytag to even consider purchasing one. Not worth the aggravation!!

My Maytag Neptune washer also has a problem with mold build-up and now the door lock assembly is totally gone. I was unaware of the class action suit or I would have joined. I am just disappointed!
