I would have given this washer/dryer a 0 star, but wasnt able to. Bought the pair and first thing, couldnt get enough water in the tub, clothes wallowing around for an hour in the few cups of dirty water that it allows. Cant even believe how terrible this combo washer and dryer is! Now I get to wash everything in this piece of ____ twice, thank you Maytag! Just took out a load and it is dingy and stinks, so now its wet, on the floor waiting its turn to go back for another wash (possibly even a third).If you want clean clothes, do NOT get this washer. Dryer has issues also. For whatever reason, the AF signal has been on for a couple of months. Turn it off and back on and its okay for a bit, then back on. Its the Air Filter. Its not plugged, so I dont know, I just keep using it with intervals of resetting it altogether. What a total waste of money. Am going to give it away for free as soon as I find a replacement! Save yourself a huge headache and look elsewhere than Maytag. Oh, and if Maytag happens to read my review, you can contact me for a refund any time, just respond to this post, you can even come pick it up and get it out of my home. Thanks a bunch!

I purchased this Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB8949SBM on November 23, 2013 and installed dishwasher in late January after new cabinets/countertops were installed. After four months the control board failed. I live out in the country and Maytag does not pay for a repairman to make a special trip for repairs, so we had to wait 2 weeks when the repairman was in the area. We purchased this dishwasher on reviews which seemed pretty good, but never bothered to check on complaints of Maytag dishwashers. I can see most all complaints are the control panels failing. Well it is November 19th and the control panel has failed again. My wife said the lights blink and when she presses a wash cycle, a different wash cycle will light and blink. She will press the start button and nothing happens. You can bet I will call first thing in the morning as the warranty will expire in a few days and I will write the persons name down and the time that I talked being that Maytag seems to lose conversations with customers. I hope Maytag doesnt give me the runaround like may others on this site. I dont understand why Maytag doesnt correct this problem that they have known about for years.

I’ve had my electric glass top range for four years. Normal use. I set the temperature to 425 degrees to bake a potato. At the 225 degree mark, the oven bursts into flames. The fire burned itself out in about a minute. I turned the oven off and immediately went to google to see happened. I’m pissed! This stove is only four years old!

I bought my Maytag Centennial washer & dryer about 2 yrs ago. It wasnt long after I bought the set, that the washer started having problems. I noticed the button to turn it on wouldnt go off. Then it was a pain in the ** to not be able to open the lid while the water was filling up. Something I havent noticed until today, its suppose to fill up to the amount of clothes that is in the washing machine. Well when I opened the lid there wasnt enough water in there to even cover all the clothes. Now I know why my clothes are not coming out clean!!! I am so frustrated with this machine and the company!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. I purchased a Maytag 2000 series washing machines. It broke and needed to be repaired within six months of purchase. It continued to break and need to be repaired numerous times and its only a little over 1 1/2 years old. It ripped and ruined clothing on numerous occasions. It would not drain and the door would lock with clothing inside thus ruining them. Both of these issues occurred on more than one occasion. Maytags solution for their defective washer was to keep referring me to my warranty. They were no help at all. My warranty finally came through for me and I was issued a full refund through the warranty I purchased at the time I purchased the washer. My new washer (which is not a Maytag) is being delivered Friday. So finally after being without a washer for over two weeks I will be able to wash clothes again. My experience with Maytag was frustrating and aggravating to say the least and I will definitely never purchase Maytag again. They are far from reliable.

We purchased our washer/dryer in June 2004. I have tried to clean off the rust where the water enters, but not successful. Is there any way to have this replaced at no charge?

Great when it works properly and doesnt leak! Quietness, cycles. Everything that had to go in went in, well laid out. Stainless steel, clean, good looking. Anything with the Maytag name doesnt last any more than a couple of years. Gone through a washer and dryer with no help from Maytag. The dishwasher was replaced by Maytag because the main circuit board was on backorder for more than 5 months. Washer was replaced with a Samsung. If I had to replace the dishwasher out of pocket I would go to Korea or Europe to do so. Maytag, what a huge fall in quality and reliability!

My Bravos 300 series is 3yrs. Initially it occasionally shredded an item. With 4 kids I chalked it up to wear & tear on the clothes. Its now ruining items almost every wash. I now wash much by hand. Cant wait to afford a new one.

Stove does not heat evenly in oven. Electric burner cannot be turned down to low or simmer, then it will not cook at all. Other burner turned down to low does not stop bubbling and stays at a high temp. There is no consistency. I am extremely disappointed and curse at this stove every day. Model #MER7664XB. I have the same problem noted by the other posts. Water leaking on hardwood floor from the bottom of the freezer. Refrig is out of warranty. Also, the deli drawer is also broken. This is a $2000 refrigerator and the quality is terrible. Please contact me for class action suit inclusion.

A company who sells a washer that makes washcloths/towels smell musty as you take them clean from the drawer should be ashamed and refund everyones money!!! I have always love Maytag/Whirlpool products until this piece of trash washer. My husband, who is retired from Maytag, gets a very nice deal when buying their products under the VIP program. However, how nice a deal is it when you have musty/sour smelling towels after washing??? Ridiculous! Seems that when the washer went to no agitator and water/electricity saving they forgot what the purpose of a washing machine was. Im very upset and would NEVER recommend Whirlpool/Maytag products to ANYONE!

Our new Maytag Bravos XL machine quit just 43 days after being purchased. Purchased from Lowes, but since it was past 30 days since purchase date, Lowes could not do anything to help. Lowes directed us to an appliance repair service that they use. We had to wait another 3 days for repairman to come out to look at the machine... only to find out that a drain pump would need to be replaced, along w/ the diagnostics board since it was not working either. Parts would be ordered & were expected to arrive 3-4 days later. It has been a week later & the parts still have not been shipped out by Whirlpool. We are now on almost 2.5 weeks w/o a washing machine. I usually research & read customer reviews before making a major purchase. However, we had to quickly get another washing machine & dryer, so felt like Maytag was a SAFE choice since I had Maytag several years back. (That Maytag was your basic washing machine w/o the bells & whistles before machines had bells & whistles.) Will I purchase another Maytag again after this occurrence? Probably not. In fact, I am so aggravated & frustrated at this point, that I would love to just throw the machine out in the middle of the street!

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Washer and companion dryer in March 2018. I like to wash our king size bedding often and liked that this model had no agitator and could accompany the large loads. I am using the extra rinse constantly since I dont trust the amount of water (not) used. The dryer however, is worthless! No matter the garment or setting, everything comes out in a ball. Tshirts are twisted and wrinkled and half wet. I end up rewashing almost everything then being a guardian for the dryer---checking and rechecking every load. Maytag says sorry, its out of warranty. I absolutely hate these appliances!

Have had this problem since week 2 of ownership. Even on the lowest setting, food in the fridge section is freezing and Im having to throw out fresh produce weekly. Called Whirlpool service since under warranty. The very nice service man replaced the thermostat. Only a little bit better as the temps do not range quite as extreme - only 25-46 now! I am now waiting once more for a service appointment, at least 10 days. Plus in Massachusetts they will only give you a 8-5 service window. They give a robocall the night before and you are given a 8-12 or a 1-4 time for your appointment. I also have had trouble with the meat drawer falling out of the track because the upper shelf bows with the weight of a normal amount of stuff. Now the bracket has cracked and the meat drawer no longer stays on the track when it pulled out partially (such as when you need to reach in and get something). Same thing happens with the lower drawer on the right side although the bracket hasnt cracked.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBH949AWB. We have purchased the extended warranty. Today, after more than 100 minutes on the phone, mostly on hold, we were unable to schedule an appointment to replace the control board, or even have them verify that we have extended warranty coverage. It generally took many many minutes to get a person, only to be referred to a different person at a different number. Nobody had access to our extended warranty info, and to go further into getting a repair scheduled, they said they needed that info. I finally went on their website, and after keying in extensive information, I got a screen saying they were having trouble with their website, and to please try again later. So I did their chat, and ultimately they told me to call 866-730-6094. The earlier numbers I called, in sequence, were 866-576-1660 (53 minutes on hold); then told to call 866-265-0029, for another long hold. And then told to call 800-626-4342. Long hold, and I hung up. At one point, I think the second person I actually spoke with gave me an incident number of **. My extended warranty expires in Feb. of 2017, and they even asked me to renew early. Since the warranty seems totally worthless, why would I do that? Terrible customer service. Wont do business with Maytag ever again, and am warning others not do so either.

My husband and I bought a Maytag dishwasher, Stove and Fridge. We were very reluctant because at our prior home we had Maytag appliances and they kept going out. Against our better judgement when we moved into our new home we decided to go with Maytag once again. First the dishwasher front panel stopped working. We had it replaced and it cost over 250.00 with replacement part and labor. Not a week later went by when our Fridge went out, that cost us another 300.00 plus to fix. Keep in mind we had only had these appliances for about 14 months. Less than a year of replacing the dishwasher panel it has gone out again. This is very frustrating and expensive. I dont usually write comments, but felt the public needed to know that Maytag has poorly made appliances. I recommend you spend the extra couple of hundred bucks and buy the better brands and warranties. Thank you.

Fire Hazard - poorly designed with vent at bottom of oven, Warped Drawer and Melted cabinet surface. Nowhere in the install instructions does it say not to mount above drawers. Whirlpool tried to blame dealer. Buyer beware.

Problems with Maytag dishwasher, purchased at Sears Canada Model MDB7749S is only a couple of years old, and as such is no longer under warranty. This Dishwasher is less than 3 years old! Both the interior and exterior is stainless steel and looks virtually new. Cost of parts and labour to repair amount to more than a new dishwasher--this is unacceptable. Poor design. Little value compared to cost. First issue: bottom rack wheels fall off because the plastic pin holding the plastic wheels on the rack become fall out, leaving no way to hold the wheels onto the rack. Second issue: faulty design of the integrated door handle and control panel on the exterior door face. The control panel pops out of the front cover panel when door is pulled open. With some struggle it can be popped back in.I agree with another reviewer who wrote: The design of the faceplate is defective in that too much force is applied to the faceplate when opening the unit. The handle is integrated in to the faceplate. The plastic used becomes brittle over time and breaks. The panel unit (W10811169) must be replaced in entirety rather than just its housing increasing the cost of repair. To have this failure occur within the first 3 years of use is very premature. I can only assume if I repair the dishwasher I will have the same problem again. I am considering buying a new model that is designed better and comes with a longer warranty on such parts.

Pump motor went out after two years and all Maytag would do was a small discount on cheaper model. We paid over $800 for the dishwasher and to fix it was over $500 plus the 5 minute service call of over $100. Very poor customer service and a lemon of a dishwasher. Now we have a GE.

Maytag Bravo Quiet 300 dryer(less than a year old): #1, on timed dry setting machine cuts off before the set time, clothes still wet. Needs multiple cycles to achieve drying, then you get wrinkles. Cannot manually set time, its automatic. Technicians (2) have replaced sensors and tinkered with timer, no fix, no documentation to show what was actually done.

Nineteen-month-old dishwasher was repaired once while under warranty; 6 months later, same problem. They said they would send me a new part but I would pay for labor. I wasn’t happy but I agreed. I am being forced to use their people and pay first before the part is received and before the work is done. They said this is their procedure. If I must pay labor, I should be allowed to use whom I want. It is absurd asking for payment before job is done when the part is free. I have since checked the complaints, and there are over 200, with one woman on her fourth control panel – I will be on my second one. I feel this machine should be replaced free of charge. Its obviously a lemon!

This Maytag dishwasher is beautiful inside and outside. I love that the controls are hidden. It cleans dishes very well. It has a large capacity for dishes, a rack for glasses/mugs, a small rack for cooking utensils, and a container for silverware. It is so quiet you hardly know it is working. I would highly recommend it.

On my 3rd circuit board for a MDB7749SBMO MODEL dish washer. The people at Maytag are people that wont even talk to you about it. How many people have to complain before theres a recall on a faulty ribbon cable.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos upon recommendations from Lowes and Home Depot to replace a 20-year Kenmore that finally died. Since the Maytag brand was always considered to be the top of the line washers, we purchased the pair. About a week ago during the spin cycle I thought that a 747 was taking off in our laundry room. Called a local appliance repair service who said that there had been numerous issues with the Bravos series and to call Maytag to inquire about a recall. After 45 minutes on the phone with a very sweet naive young lady, she told me that the new models did indeed have a 10-year limited warranty on parts. However my 3-1/2 year old washer was not grandfathered into the warranty. I could (a) pay the $150 service charge to have someone come to inspect it or (b) buy a new one. I will be purchasing a new one but it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool product. Now we know why the commercial for the Maytag repairman is not running... Hes now very busy working on their broken products.

Its a water saver model, so to really rinse the clothes of soap from the wash cycle you have to give it an extra rinse, which the machine has made available. So I do not know how much water it really saves.

I spent over $600 dollars on a Maytag Bravo 300 series. The washer has cost me over $300 to fix the latch and 2 months later, it will not spin. I would recommend to anyone not to buy a Maytag product! Garbage! I had a standard Kenmore washer that lasted over 10 years without a problem, paid $300 and still sold it for $100. The funny part is that I sold it to my brother who still uses it regularly and has not had any problems. So what is money worth? Your call.

I will never recommend these products to anyone! My dryer has caught on fire 4 times! Cleaned lint every time we use it! It gets caught in bottom of dryer! Just lucky enough it has not caught our house on fire it is contained in the bottom of dyer itself! Washer gets UL code all the time! Will not rinse! Have to open top and try to balance clothes out! Cant even wash a comforter alone and the same thing happens! They are junk!!! Would not recommend at all to anyone!

We bought this washer before Christmas. I was very excited. However my clothes don’t come out clean. I am actually washing my white uniform with hands because each time I wash, dark scums remain on my clothes. I think that the machine sensor does not sense how much clothes are in there and how much water is required. This machine is very disappointing, it needs to be recalled. See pictures below.

This washer came with the home we recently purchased. I used the machine and OMG the spin cycle is NOT quiet.. I posted a video of it on FB. A friend of mine who owns and operates an appliance center watched it.. messaged me back and said Do not call repair man as it is cheaper to buy a new machine... I knew this machine sounded like a piece of **.. I know I wont replace with the same machine.

This Maytag washer and dryer are far more superior than the units I had before. It is also made in USA which makes me feel like it will not fail me as soon as the others. The agitation when washing anything is something else I love. I will buy more Maytag in the future.

This Maytag (Whirlpool) model MDB7749SBMI dishwasher was purchased 10/28/13 at Home Depot. That makes it 2 1/2 years old to date. It has been a good dishwasher up until now. A few weeks ago I noticed it was doing something wonky. First of all it was not responding its usual way when I tried to turn it on after closing the door. The start button was not responding immediately, nor were some of the other buttons. I also noticed that after the dry cycle had completed and the door was then opened to unload, that the lights on the door were flashing. Then, when I shut the door after unloading the dishes, the washer would come on without having any buttons pushed. Recently, in addition to the difficulty we are experiencing getting it to start, the washer will keep running without ever turning off. Last night I turned it on before going to bed, and it was still running this morning. Calling the service number, the control panel part will run around $150, with a $98 charge for repairman to come out. Who knows if that 98$ isnt just to walk in the door, and whether that includes the time it takes to install the part. The dishwasher was around $400 with my husbands military discount from Home Depot, so it seems crazy to spend that kind of money to have a part replaced that is going to break again because of PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE. If that part is replaced (at half the cost of the dishwasher) whos to say what other part is going to break next, perhaps requiring another service call plus price of part. So, conclusion is to throw this one in the landfill and purchase another dishwasher, sadly.The case of Planned Obsolescence is reflected in many of the comments/reports here on Consumer Affairs. The age of the failing control panels of the Maytag/Whirlpool washers are running around the same time spans. No doubt in my mind that these control panels are designed to fail after a specific amount of run cycles/time on this machine. These appliance companies that are manufacturing these total crap appliances so that people will have to buy replacements within 3 or 4 years are filling our already packed landfills while robbing the consumer. Its plain to see for all who care to investigate the matter. A service repairman whom Ive used for years and has been in the business for 25, told me that most appliances today are total pieces of junk compared what they used to be and are designed to fail. He said it has greatly impacted his business because people are replacing appliances versus repairing them because it is not cost effective to have them repaired. He also added that the guts of these appliances looked like they were made from Cracker Jack toy quality plastic materials. There should be laws to stop these manufactures from Planned Obsolescence, and we need to go back to the way appliances use to be made... to last! I have no idea what its going to take to ever see that happen. This is what happens when you have very little competition and 2 major appliance manufacturers. More parts are being designed to fail, so that they can line their pockets. Pitiful.

Come on people are you serious! Im talking about all those people who give this washer great reviews or even mediocre reviews. This washing machine sucks! Thank God for the glass lid so you can see how terrible it washes. No water in this thing. Clothes that sit on the edge of the bowl do not agitate enough to be washed if there was water in the wash cycle. Bleach that you use in your white wash cycle is left over and gets onto your colored cycle if you wash it the color cycle next. I ** you not, mark my words that stains are left on clothes even in a cycle that has lots of water in it. If you think Im high or crazy take a look at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. Check the area for washing machines that are for sale that have been used. You will find this Maytag Bravos XL machine there. They look good and are practically brand new and they will be there for weeks on and because people return them if they get lucky to return them. I called my store and they refuse to take it back and told me to call the manufacturer. I did just that... I called the manufacturer and they told me they can send out a serviceman to check the washing machine. Butt...and a big butt, if they find nothing wrong with the washing machine that I will be charged a service fee. Bunch of **! For all of us that get stuck with this pile of garbage we can thank the tree huggers for trying to save the world with low water consumption water washing machines.

Maytag has always been my favorite lasts forever no problems at all till something perforated the pump but was fixed promptly. I had my maytag till I moved and left it with my son so I do not have it now but I'd buy another maytag as long as it's not one of those water savers. Do not like those because it doesn't use enough water to rinse out the soap properly like the older original machines. Maytag is strong, durable and worth every penny. If I was buying another washer It would definitely be a maytag. They wash clothes thoroughly. Of all household appliances if have to have a maytag washing machine and my favorite vacuum cleaner. Maytag washing machines are by far a ten next everything else I've tried.

Shame on Maytag! Customer Service is appalling! Paid 2500 for one of their top of the line refrigerator/freezer and had the repair people 5 times in one year. It was determined that it is a bad model number that Maytag wont recall but knows it is faulty. Started with ice build up in freezer making it sound like a plane taking off. It kept running trying to defrost (energy efficient-right). The repairman put in a request to have the product replaced based on symptoms and freezer being at 26 degrees. We had to wait five business days for Maytag to review it. I have a family and was having guests. They told me to buy a dorm refrigerator and they would send me a small credit towards it in 4 to 6 weeks. They finally agreed to replace the known faulty model, but I have to wait for the exchange team to contact me (2 weeks later). I keep calling and leaving messages but cant get the exchange team to even return my calls. I have my sons graduation this weekend and I dont have a freezer and my refrigerator is faulty with all my vegetables rotting within two days. It also took two days to originally get someone in management to call me back (even though it did no good - she cant help me). You cannot talk to management if you call customer service. They downright refuse! What a company!

I bought a Maytag dishwasher, when I bought my house (7/2010). I live alone and I use my dishwasher only once a week or once every two weeks. After 3 years of working perfect, it stopped working. I had someone come look at it. After troubleshooting with the basic steps, making sure the water was correctly hooked up, a fuse was not the problem. The dishwasher door was shut completely. He took the racks and all movable parts, & thought something, a piece of glass, etc, was stuck in the drain. Nope. After reading these reviews I realize it is got to be the control panel because the start button will not come on and all these people have the similar problem. It just stopped. Period. The panel lights come on, but not the stop button. I am a single person as stated and on disability and on a very tight budget. I bought a Maytag because of the name and reputation. How long would it have lasted under normal use, say a family of 4, using it nightly? Certainly less than a year. I have no idea what to do now. I cannot afford a repairman, & I am certain it is the control panel on the dishwasher. I do of course have all the model numbers, etc & papers, when I bought it. I can provide proper paperwork, when contacted.

We purchased our French Door, bottom freezer in April 2010 after a renovation. We have loved it besides needing more refrigerated space. This past weekend I noticed the appliance was cutting off and a few seconds later coming back on. It has an outside ice and water dispenser as well and the lights will blink on and off of course when the fridge cut off. Called for a repair and when the repairman called in the parts he was told he needed 2 computer boards. One was available however the other was discontinued and they would not allow him to just replace the one board. The fridge cost us $1798.00 from Home Depot. I cant believe how irresponsible Maytag is in this case. I have a kitchen full of MAYTAG appliances and have loved them all. But this is unacceptable. The Maytag fridge I had before was 16 years old. I gave it to a family member when we bought this one and that one just broke down last year so it was 21 years old! Whats up MAYTAG?

I purchased the Maytag metal interior two years ago, the very first year I had to replace the control panel board... Now, the panel went out again, after calling the Maytag executive office, they finally sent me the part, telling me I had to pay to get it fixed. That was just three months ago... Presently, the dishwasher has quit running water in the cycle... I will NEVER purchase another Maytag dishwasher... thinking you get The Best doesnt mean what you think... BEWARE...

In 2016 I purchased a matching Maytag washer and dryer. The reason why I purchased it because I was in a house and I no longer had a washer and dryer and I refuse to go to a laundry mat at the city to go to Nebraska Furniture Mart and it was a number of different washer and dryer combinations available. I had previously own a Samsung matching washer and dryer and it worked fine, my Maytag has dame of the same features and works great.

Bought a Maytag Bravos washer 21/2 years ago... already have to buy a new washer... not a Maytag!! It started with the ul message coming on. Never could do anything to get it to go off.... then started leaking water around the bottom... bearings went out... costs more to fix than buying a new washer which is what I DID. Not a Maytag.... thought Maytags were a great product. Believe me their repairmen are always busy, not just sitting around like in their commercial.... Never buy a Maytag appliance again.

Had this front loading washer 13 months when the circuit board failed. I pitched a huge fit as Maytag wanted to charge me 75% of a new washer for the circuit board replacement. Fortunately they caved. I like how well it spins out and washes well. The door gasket is hard to keep clean. Has fresh setting so clothes do not get moldy if you leave them too long.

We have had this dishwasher [Model MDB7749SBW2] for about 1 1/2 years now, and gave had a lot of trouble with it. It will run a cycle on its own without anyone even touching a button. My current problem is the start button wont work. I reset the dishwasher by pushing the series of buttons I found online to do a reset, and the start light lit up, but after the reset cycle was finished I tried to run a wash cycle and couldnt get the start button to do anything. Ive seen a lot of reviews online on this being common with Maytag brand dishwashers this old. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again nor would I recommend it to anyone as a good product. I am very frustrated and disappointed in Maytag!!!

Purchased a Maytag Bravo Quiet Washing machine. Nice and big for our family and uses less water. Generally okay with it (occasionally need to rinse clothes again as they have streaks/spots after the hand-wash cycle due to low water feature). This year it started making a loud noise while spinning, obviously the bearing. Googled reviews on this washer, reviewers explained Maytag now owned by Whirlpool and not the quality it used to be. Called the repair line, Whirlpool refused to say whether or not this would be covered by the limited warranty, even though it is very clear which part is causing the problem. The only way they would tell is if someone came out, then we were charged $149 for 5 minutes of looking at the machine to be told it isnt covered. In the end we will order the part and fix it ourselves. We will remember not to buy Maytag again.

Have had nothing but trouble with this fridge! Ice forms at bottom of freezer with frost all over top shelf. Ice maker no longer works. 3 years old for goodness sake. Had repairman replaced all lines, and still have the problem. Heard you have to unplug fridge for 24 hours to solve problem EVERY 2 Months! I Guess the Maytag repairman stays lonely because they dont stand behind their product! Hate it!!

Before you purchase a Maytag washing machine...from anywhere (I got mine at Home Depot), think again. This machine doesnt wash clothes, it doesnt rinse clothing. What it does is takes forever to fill up the tub then it doesnt even come close to filling it to where all the clothing is covered for rinsing or washing, then it just stops and sits there for a few minutes (??) and then it proceeds to empty the tub and youre supposed to feel like your clothes were cleaned.Not in a million years will your clothing get cleaned in a Maytag washing machine. Youve been warned...dont waste your money. Go to a used appliance shop, but the best one they have that does NOT have the Govt. regs built into it, and be happy you saved as much money and did NOT have to go through all the frustration and hassle everyone else has that bought a new Maytag washing machine.

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and dryer package from Home Depot in 2004 and had nothing but problems ever since. Such things as washer had mold constantly. Also, clothes seemed to have a foul odor after washing. The dryer always seemed to have to be ran twice to get clothes dry.

Purchased a Maytag fridge April of 2012. Within a few months the freezer was not keeping the food cold enough. I had a lot of food loss. I called Home Depot and they refused to give me a new fridge. They said to call the Mfg. That I did and all they did was send out a service man. This has been fixed 5 times for the same thing. The problem now is that the Extended warranty company refuse to repair it now that they know that it was a pre-existing condition that should have been taken care of under the Mfg. warranty. I paid 180.00 for an extended warranty that now is worthless. I just threw out roughly 200.00 worth of food. Now my lettuce is frozen, eggs are frozen. My husband is disabled and money is not plentiful. I dont know where to turn. Frustrated.

Purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer at Lowes in 2004. Until recently it worked without any problems; however, the agitator never seemed to work quite right. Normally, an agitator rotates in such a way that the auger action of the vanes pulls the clothes in toward the middle and then down into the water such that you have a continuous cycle of clothing being pulled down the middle, agitated at the bottom, then pushed up the outside. This one agitated but the clothing would just go round and round in the tub. Everything managed to get clean enough, but clearly something was amiss. Recently, the spin cycle became loud. A rumble became a loud roar over the course of a few cycles. Then I noticed water on the floor coming from under the washer. The short story is that the center shaft seals had just worn out. After almost 12 years of use, thats not surprising. Whats surprising is that it had worked so long without any issues other than the agitator.I took it apart and, to my dismay, the water had gotten into everything so that some of the metal parts were hard to remove. After having determined what replacement parts were necessary, I ordered them, but then placed additional orders for parts that probably would wear out eventually. So I ended up doing a near-complete rebuild. Other than the difficulty of taking some of the parts apart, and removing/installing the tub springs, it was actually pretty easy. I have reassembled, and now it seems to work flawlessly... so far. About the agitator: I found that shims are used on the transmission shaft to adjust tension. Too much tension and the clothes just ride around the tub; like mine did. Too little tension probably results in the thing not agitating at all (I dont really know). Once the washer is apart its easy to set the tension (insert the shim washers) correctly.There is a clip that holds the shim washers in place on the shaft. It was really tight; somewhat difficult to remove. One of the shims wouldnt fit when I tried to reassemble. As it turned out, that was a good thing. My research on this model revealed the way to get the proper tension. My assessment is that whoever assembled this washer at Maytag (or whoever builds these) assembled it incorrectly! Another thing I found out - after I ordered/received parts, unfortunately - is that there are two types of tub/shaft seal sets for this washer. I ended up replacing the newer type seals with the older type. Everything fits, but I may be losing out on a newer, better design. Well see. Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with the longevity and reliability of the MAV9501EWW washer. I have had Kenmore and Whirlpool; neither of which was nearly as durable and reliable. I hope this is helpful to someone.

We purchased a 3K Maytag refrigerator/freezer and purchased an extended warranty as well. 5 months later the ice machine stopped working. We called Maytag to get it repaired since its under the 1 yr factory warranty and they sent an appliance service company they contract with to repair it. 6 service calls and two months later its still not repaired. I called Maytag back to say if you cant fix it please replace it. They say it needs to be deemed not repairable to even consider replacement and that they would send out a different repair company. As of yesterday (9/(9/14) another month and a half and 5 trips from the second repair company and it still does not work, so I call Maytag again to complain and they give me the same line ....needs to be deemed unrepairable... How long and how many service calls does it take to fix a ice maker? How much work and how many hours do I need to miss to get what I paid for? I went to their website and it talks about how their mission statement is customer service etc, etc, etc..... Thats just a bunch of lip service and judging by the HUNDREDS of complaints I have read this is their standard method of operation.... I for one will not let this go and will be filing a claim in small claims court to get what I paid for..... BE WARNED if you are looking to purchase a appliance.

I have always used Maytag products at home and work. I have never had a problem like this one. The front load washers have a manufacture default with the boot that allows mold to grow even when it is wiped out as instructed. I have contacted other people and they have the same problem. I will not or ever buy a front load Maytag again and could never recommend this product to anyone. I feel that the Maytag company should replace the boot with a different design; at no cost to the consumer! This machine was only a year old. I have no problem with the company I bought it from. They replaced the boot with a bill of $358.65.

We love our Maytag ovens. It always cooks evenly and we never have HAD any issues over the past 2 years. We will always buy Maytag! It has a self cleaning option and I have never burned anything on the oven.

Just passed warranty period and Maytag dishwasher broke. It would not start. Called and was allowed to purchase extended warranty for $135.00. A new panel was shipped and dishwasher lasted just under one more year with same issue. Another extended warranty was offered for $199.00. Needless to say we are buying a new dishwasher and not a Maytag or Whirlpool. The panels are notorious for rusting out. Hmmm moisture of a dishwasher and parts easily corrode.

First dishwasher was overheating fried control panel, turns out there was a recall. Got another Maytag at a discount. Thanks for nothing, little over a year, its fried too. Will never own another Maytag product again.

Purchased this unit back in November 2011. Sometime this year it started leaking water just like many others from the freezer unit onto the floor (many times large puddles). Im tired of the permanent towel on the floor to absorb the water to prevent a potential slipping hazard. I too went online and found a very nice video on youtube which showed how to disassemble the freezer compartment. Took everything apart and noticed that there was water frozen on the supply line. Melted this and put everything back together, for about a week there was no water leaking so I figured all was well. About a week later the puddle was back so I sent an inquiry to Maytag and let them know I had an image of the issue and asked if it was covered through manufacture warranty. So I watched another video by the same guy on youtube that showed how to replace the P Trap. I went online and found the replacement P Trap Manufacturer model # w10619951. One of the comments there actually said to call Maytag first as they were able to get a replacement P Trap for free. I believe if it was under a year old they would also pay for the labor to have it replaced. So this morning I called Maytag, the first guy Jim said I would have to have a certified Tech come out (76 dollar service fee, plus whatever the labor would cost) and Maytag would cover the cost of the part. I asked Jim if he could just send me the part and Ill do it myself, he reassured me that he could NOT do this and that the system was very specific. I told him I did not understand that a bad design and known quality defect, why should I have to pay several hundred dollars to fix? He told me that was the way it is. I asked to speak to his supervisor and put me on hold. Not only was the hold music extremely obnoxious but there was a loud humming noise as well, I waited for 10 minutes hung up and called back. I spoke with Maggie this time. I told her I wanted the part sent to me and if she couldnt help me I wanted to speak to a manager. She said she did not have the authority to ship me the part without approval. She said she could ask for approval and after waiting for about 3 minutes she came back on the line and said she spoke with her supervisor and that they would be sending me the replacement P trap today via FedEx. Had they not sent me the part my next stop was going to be the better business bureau..

I bought a Maytag washing machine, model number MHW6630HW2 in January 2021. It works fine on ordinary loads, but it cannot spin the water out of bulky items, not on any setting. I put my machine-washable winter coat in the washer and it left it full of water. I re-tried on 4 different settings, and though the washer spins, it cant spin out the water. I went to the Maytag support site. The sites said my model doesnt exist. The phone number for support does not allow you to get any support other than a service call. The Chat option doesnt give a lot of support either. They said that if I call for a service appointment and the service technician finds that the machine does do a spin cycle, then the appointment is not covered under warranty.

We purchased a Maytag front load washer in May 2006 (MAH6700AWW). In November 2012 we had a leak and called a repair service. We were told it was the dispensing hose which had a hole worn in it and was replaced. In February 2014, we called the same service and was told that we had the same problem. Now in November 2014 we are experiencing the same problem. We have notified Whirlpool of this problem and each time were told that the machine was too old to reimburse us in any way. Guess who wont be buying any Whirlpool products if they do not back up their faulty workmanship.

Like the other poor reviews here- this Bravos top load washer is the worst. So wish we had returned it!!! There is never enough water in the machine on normal cycle to get all the clothes wet so how in the world would anyone expect the clothes to get clean? Just ridiculous - and whoever invented this machine, plus those who tested it, need to have their head examined! Hate it so much.

Didnt even want to put 1 star but that is the lowest you can give. Maytag microwave less than a year old paid $350. Door clasp broke. Took two weeks to send a repairman out, he came out and of course did not have the part -- took another week to get it. Fixed the door and then he crashed and burned the microwave shorted it out and now it is totally dead. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago. Maytag refuses to replace the microwave and insists that the same incompetent service company come out and fix it. Meanwhile I have to call Maytag every other day to find out when the correct part to repair the microwave will be in. Was told it would be in two days ago. Never got a call to schedule the repair, called today to find out they never even ordered the part. Here goes another week without my microwave. Not only does Maytag have horrible customer service, they manage to find unskilled repair techs with equally horrible customer service! Will never ever buy another May useless Tag appliance again.

In March 2014 I purchased all my kitchen appliances from Home Depot. Everything was Whirlpool except the dishwasher, a Maytag. The floor in my kitchen is wood, and I noticed that the finish was coming up in the area around the dishwasher. I called an accredited service company and the technician said the appliance was not level and proceeded to do that. Next, tech #2 - dishwasher not level, fixed it - different company. Tech #3 - dishwasher not level, fixed it, said perhaps I did not load the appliance properly and water splashed out! Dishwasher continued to leak, floor continued to warp. Came back as #4 and decided it was the control in door. Ordered new one, installed it - dishwasher leaked. Called Maytag at that point. They refuse to accept that it is defective merchandise, will not replace it on my word. They need a tech to certify that it is unfixable. Tune in tomorrow. This will be #5. We had a Maytag washer and dryer for over 32 years, the same washer and dryer. Finally our washer failed. We thought it would be a good idea to stick with Maytag. My husband purchased the Bravos XL Maytag washing machine. It is the worst washing machine ever and I regret the purchase. The washing machine doesnt clean clothes. If you use a powdered soap of any kind it leaves residue all over your clothes due to the fact it doesnt use enough water. It binds everything up. It becomes unbalanced with any larger load. Completely ties your sheets and your pants into knots. Yes literally I pull my clothes out and they are in a knot. The washer started to leak about two months ago after having it for a year-and-a-half. We couldnt locate the leak so we had to call a repairman and it cost us over $240 in parts and labor.

The dishwasher turns on of its own accord. Sometimes when you get too close to it, once in a while in the middle of the night, and most of the time when you latch the door. It does a great job cleaning the dishes, but to no avail because its always in the middle of a cycle when you need them.

Same issues as many others here, had to replace the main control board a couple of months after the warranty period was up. Funny thing is though, I brought the old board into my local electronic repair shop thinking it might be worth getting it fixed in order to have a spare on hand in case the new one was also short lived... He told me he examined the board and there was nothing physically wrong... The problem he said was in the programming or firmware. Unfortunately, he said Maytag does not offer an update and there is no way to clone the newer version from my new board onto the old one so it was garbage. Seriously Maytag? Hundreds of dollars later in parts and melted groceries all because you wont issue a firmware update? Also have water leaking out of the bottom of the fridge late at night so Im never awake to troubleshoot it. Considering how sporadic it seems to be, Im guessing it must have something to do with the defrost cycle... Have to figure it out though as its starting to cause damage to the floor and leaking down to the basement :( Never again Maytag.

I bought a new smart washer and dryer from Maytag in mid-2019. Beginning in the first few weeks the machine did not perform as expected--cut off in middle of cycle, door failed to unlock at end of a cycle, constant error messages that made no sense (power failure when power didnt fail, codes that arent defined in the owners manual). To make a long story short, the company that does their warranty repair, which has worked on the machine approximately 8 times, tells me there is nothing else they can do, the machine is a lemon. But their customer service department refuses to replace it. They say it must be repaired, yet again. But the parts are out of stock (which should be a pretty good indication that theres a problem with product quality). So I am to wait. How long? They dont know. Call again tomorrow.Do NOT buy a Maytag appliance. Customer service does not stand behind their products and the products are no longer up to the quality I had previously expected from Maytag. Additionally, telephone wait times on the customer experience line can exceed an hour and are customarily over 30 minutes. Never had an experience like this with any other major appliance customer service department.

Wow! I wished I had reviewed this page before purchasing a Maytag. We bought a new Maytag Range (#MGR5751BDD) from Menards in March 2008. Within a couple of months, we were out of a stove. I was lighting the burner to make dinner for my family (it is a gas range) and all the burners started making a clicking noise and they caught on fire. Luckily, my husband was nearby and took the fire extinguisher to it.We thought for sure that the house was going to be gone. We contacted Maytag and they had a guy come out (wasnt the friendliest and cted like he could care less). He stated there was wiring that was bad but because we took the fire extinguisher to it we probably voided the warranty. What? He would submit a report to Maytag.Maytag reluctantly gave us some money but not near enough to cover the stove that was only a couple of months old. Now, I cant use the new range that is 2.5 years old. It pops and spurts because the regulator needs to be replaced. The bad thing is by the time we pay for a repairman and the new part, it will cost us a lot of money we cant afford. This stinks.

We bought this refrigerator in 1998 and it is still going strong. It has gotten a bit noisy over the years when defrosting, but it works great. It is not as fancy as the freezer over top, but it is large and so is the refrigerator.

We went to Home Depot and bought a Maytag front load dishwasher and dryer and microwave 3-1/2 years ago. The washer and dryer were put in right away. The dishwasher and microwave stayed in their box for another year due to us remodelling the house room by room and the kitchen wasn’t done for a year. We put the appliances in and the dishwasher panel went out in October 2011. The washer in April 2012 started having a failure 8 when it gets to the last spin and rinse in which takes a lot of shuffling clothes to get it to finish its cycle. Then last night, May 14th, 2012, the microwave caught fire and all I was doing was brew tea in a glass Pyrex measuring cup not to mention the fan didnt work from day one. The whole house was full of smoke and it melted the plastic. So the most I got out of 3 of these products is 3 years at the most. This is very sad that we spent this much money and it lasted less than 5 years. I am writing this to warn consumers not to buy Maytag appliances. They should last longer than 3 years and are not cheap to buy. This makes me very angry and I hope someone takes this seriously and work on the problems before someone burns up due to these appliances catching fire. Our dishwasher had a recall shortly after we installed it due to the element catching fire and we had your repair man replace it.

I bought a Maytag Washer Bravos XL approximately 13 months ago. To be exact, July 16th, 2016 through Home Depot. Model #MVW8775DW. Since I bought, the washer shakes, and doesnt complete the cycle as it gets stuck on the spin cycle. I have called Maytag and they have sent out a technician... They have told me that there is nothing they can do. I told Maytag that their product was a lemon and this should not happen... And to please it with one that is not defective. Since then, the cycle does complete, but the clothes are soaking wet and I have to run the cycle again, just on the spin cycle.

The washer makes holes in my shirts. Odors like perfumes are still on the shirts when they come out. Does not wash great. The dryer is good but does not take out cat hair. My old machine washed a lot better than this new one. I have mold in where you dispense the cleaning product and the way it is made I cannot clean it. I am so disappointed with this product.

It is nice to know that there are other people out there that have the same problem with the Maytag washers cabinet inside and outside rusting. Our rusting is around the bleach area rim and on the outer seam of the washer. Our washer is now 4 years old. We started having the rusting problems in 2011. We called Maytag and of course. They are sorry for our problem but cant do anything about it. They made it sound like we were the only ones having this problem. We need to stand strong and continue to complain about this problem until Maytag takes responsibility for their poor quality washers. Anyone out there looking to purchase a washer. Do your homework. I purchased this $900 Maytag washer from Home Depot in Oct. 2010. Now, after Ive just paid $129 for a service call through their designated repair service, I was informed it will cost $700 to fix this washer. I use the washer on average of three times a week. Its unbelievable that this type of crap is sold by Home Depot and that Maytag warranties will not cover repair as one year has passed.

I have a French door fridge Maytag like everyone else. The bottom freezes over and I have to de-ice it. Now the freezer doesnt want to cool. Its 3 years old. Total piece of junk.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher March 2012 and the unit wouldnt turn on October 2013 - 6 months after the warranty ended. We called their service department and they told us to unplug the dishwasher or turn off the circuit breaker. We did so and the unit still would not turn on. We called a repairman who advised us that the touch pad was not working. The cost with parts and labor would be close to $300 which was more than half the original price. We repaired it and I sent all the papers with a letter to the consumer department and today I got a call advising us that they would not do anything. Do you think I have any further recourse? If not, I will never buy a Maytag product again and will advise anyone within a listening area as to how we were treated.

I bought this washer from Lowes in 2013. It worked okay for a little while but lately it stops mid-cycle. Clothes are soaked and all of the soap hasnt been rinsed out. Poor excuse for a washing machine! Will never buy a Maytag again!

The washer is making loud noises. I had a repairman out and he said the transmission was shot. This washer is only 7.5 years old and the set I had before lasted 19 years. It also was a Maytag. My mother, sisters and aunts have always stood by Maytags and I am disappointed that this washer being 7.5 years old is shot. The dryer to the set is working great!

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

I purchased this set 2/15/2014 and have never been more disappointed with a product! The washer is top loading high efficiency and there is NO water level for different sizes of loads. If I add two small items or a load of towels the water level is the same and the larger loads do not get clean, I can only run very small loads of clothes and sometimes even those do not get cleaned. I have seen soap on some items because there was not enough water to rinse it all out - and I measure the soap very carefully. Additionally, when using bleach for whites it stays in the washer even after running a second rinse with the tub empty to clean it out. I have ruined a lot of items due to bleach stains. And shortly after getting the washer something came loose and it rattles every time it spins making it very noisy. I am seriously considering selling this set with a huge loss and purchasing another washer so that I will not ruin anymore clothes and to be sure my clothes get cleaned. I have had the set for 8 months and will never recommend this product to anyone.The dryer has its issue as well. It shuts off before the clothes are dry every time I try to dry a load and sometimes 5 minutes or less after I start it. I have to use the timer all the time because the auto settings shut off while the clothes are wet. Additionally, I have to run most loads for 2-3 cycles to get the clothes dry. My reliable old dryer of almost 20 years dried my clothes perfectly with the auto time settings and was a far superior dryer than this one.

Hate my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer. It takes well over an hour per load. Clothes come out very wrinkled, and my knits get holes very quickly. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. In fact, I warn people against it as I have been frustrated every single time Ive used it. Model # W10420382A.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher (MDB7749SBW1) about 4 years ago. Ive had to replace the wiring on the control panel each year. This is clearly a design defect, and Maytag will not take any responsibility for it. Ive called each year, and am told each time that theyve never received a complaint about this issue. This year Im replacing the dishwasher. Ill never buy a Maytag product again.

Maytag Bravos top load washing machine - This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. Like some of the other complaints it leaves lint on your clothing. It does not put enough water in the machine. The so called smart technology that senses your load does a terrible job. Your clothing is halfway out of the water, with dry spots, even after 10 minutes of agitation. I am constantly adding 3 to 5 gallons of water to my loads to get things in the water. And if I want to let thing soak for a while you have to unplug the machine, because after 10 minutes it will automatically drain the water out. 2 years of dissatisfaction. I cant wait for it to die. I should have come to this site first. Never buy a machine without an agitator!

February 2011, I purchased a washer from Lowes and started having problems with the washer leaking and skipping cycles on the first week. Lowes exchanged the washer end of first week. The new washer started with not adding water in wash cycles. The repairmen sent by Maytag could not find any problem with the washer. The washer worked off and on for months with problems. Cycles with bleach added worked fine, but 3 or 4 loads later with no bleach having been added, it would produce bleach-stained clothes. The repairman came out again and could find the cause for skipping cycles, but suggested I run clean cycle every time I use bleach. It defeats the purpose of purchasing an HE water-efficient washer.The third repairman sat and watched the unit run a load and then he said I know what is wrong. He took the washer control panel apart and found the wire harness was not properly connected from tub to control panel. I have not found what causes bleach stains 3 loads after the bleach was put in the washer. I will not recommend this unit to anyone because of manufacturing problems with harness assembly.

Maytag 2000 front loading washer - This unit was purchased in Feb 2013 along with the matching dryer. From the onset it has presented with the problem of trapping small objects such as socks, underwear and other small loose objects in the rubber seal at the front of the door leaving them soaking wet and needed to be wrung out by hand. There is not any way to run a second spin only to wring out the clothes without doing an entire wash or rinse again rendering the efficiency void. I have been able to buy a mesh bag to put smaller items in for washing with the regular laundry load. However, this is not why I purchased the washer and I would strongly recommend to others not to buy this product. Very disappointed. I thought the Maytag brand was reliable. Never again will I buy any of their products.

I bought Maytag frost-free refrigerator last August 2006. But now, I noticed that ice builds up in the freezer. The product is only five years old but I was told by Whirlpool that they had discontinued making defrost heater. The reason why I bought Maytag was the ad on TV showing the Maytag service technician seating and doing nothing, implying that Maytag brand is a good product. Five years ago made a major investment on new techno with this washer/dryer. This is an updated review. Since the beginning the washer causes awful water hammer. Tried using arrestors, they dont work. Clothes are stretched out. You need to bundle each piece of laundry! The wash takes forever. Top loader has lid lock, very inconvenient - Dryer is OK but needs extra drying time. Would not buy this washer...

I just bought a brand new Maytag microwave a few weeks ago. The door is already broken! I’ve been sitting here 4 hours! waiting for a repairman man. No call, no show! This washer is no better than a glorified garbage can. Maytag AKA Whirlpool should be ashamed to put their name on this product. Like others before me on this website my washing machine sounds like a jet is taking off in my basement. When I contacted a serviceman, he told me the drum seal is broken and the bearings are shot. I have the machine since April 11, 2011. Not even three years to date! I do not have an extended warranty so shame on me to believe that a 900.00 machine should last well beyond 3 years. Unfortunately, I am getting the run around from Whirlpool as all of you have experienced. This is criminal. Not only are we as consumers being defrauded by irresponsible manufacturing but these huge hunks of metal and plastic are polluting our environment. Our parents had washing machines and dryers for as long as 20 to 25 years and they actually cleaned clothes. We now have high efficiency machines that destroy our clothing and leave them dirty and wrinkled. They are now made to break in 5 years and from what I see on this website the average for breakdown is becoming 3 years. Do you think that this is not by design? The service call turns out to be more than the value of the machine, so the repairman doesnt even profit as consumers refrain from costly repair and repurchase. The only profitability is gained by the manufacturers that keep pushing out junk to the consumer. These manufacturers should be accountable like the American auto-manufacturers became accountable for the junk they manufactured at the expense of a whole city, Detroit.

I have always been an advocate for Maytag Appliances. Never bought anything beside Maytag. Our old Maytag refrigerator broke. Would cost too much to fix. So, we decided to buy new. We had the old white, which I was perfectly fine in buying again, however, white was super expensive. So, the salesperson persuaded us to purchase stainless steel. We got a pkg for close to $4000 all in June of 2016. Needless to say, these items have been called for repair within the 1 year warranty over half a dozen times, and have had to replace pieces that have just broken. My worst experience is the stove. I really do not like it at all. I feel the product is misleading. We wanted a self cleaning oven. It is the newest brand out there for what I consider a joke. It is the AquaLift Technology that does not clean anything. My old Maytag self cleaning oven cleaned far better than this. The same spots are in the oven. It just is worthless. I have addressed my frustration with Maytag where I was told that the oven is for the light user. Well, then you need to educate the people who sell your stuff, because I have a family I cook a lot. If this product was made for an apartment single person who does not cook then we should have been informed. Your product states Self Cleaning. Its not self cleaning!!! My frustration went up to the main office of Maytag where their resolution was to give me a discount on a new stove.What do I do with the one I have, and I was told I could sell it!!!! Really Maytag wow from a consumer that has always been a valued customer this is the level of service I get. I ended up purchasing an extended warranty on all Maytag products, because of my fear of something just breaking again. My advice to all is either buy a no named brand or buy something cheaper. Please folks if you have a family do not purchase these products. Its for people that just need a pretty display of appliances!!!

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.

Bought a new maytag gas range march 2013 model #mgr8674ab. The oven would not light at all. Would just click. Still under warranty. Called the service. They came and had to replace the controls in back. 2 months later the same thing, only this time it comes on and goes right back off. Then a week ago got it to light, used the oven and tried to turn it off and it would go off but immediately light up again. Scary to say the least. Another call to service. They are coming tomorrow. This is November 12 2013. I would not buy another maytag gas stove. There is something terribly wrong with this model.

I love my Maytag washing machine. It have different settings for the wash, also a size load for your washing, and I love the rain cycle. You could do single runs with Downy or extra runs which is great. Especially great if you’re doing blankets and towels you need that extra rains. Great reliable machine. Highly recommended.

My washing machine is 2 1/2 years old. It is not overused, just 2 people in the household. Maytag wanted to sell me a contract for $320, I declined. After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

Has anyone talked to an attorney to see if a class action can be filed? My fridge is leaking, sheets of ice on floor of freezer, and ice maker doesn’t work. Looks like it’s the norm for these. Please post if you have spoken with an attorney. If no one has, I am going to.

I have never liked the stove because it is too small (it came with the triplex) and it has porcelain like top. One burner burns to hot, the other three mediocre, there isnt enough space between the burners and the back of the stove. It doesnt cook evenly and it really does not have a low or simmering setting. You cant set a timer for simmering because it cooks too fast. The knobs are stuck and sometimes wont light when you turn them down. The oven is okay, but could be better. Wish it had self cleaning. The broiler in no existence. Food way too close to the flames. We have had this oven since we bought the triplex back in 2011.

Purchased new Maytag washing machine July 17, 2011. Have had several problems with it over the past three years. Most of the time it would not complete a load of laundry and would get stuck before the drain and spin cycle. Last week, the spin cycle became extremely loud. Had a repair person come out and was told the motor bearings were bad. Estimated repair cost $700. Purchased this unit new for $569.00. Called Maytag, was told that 10-year warranty on drive motor and wash basket did NOT include the bearings. Asked if they could help out with repair cost, was told no. Will never purchase another Maytag product again as they do not stand behind their products. Household has 4 people in it so use of this machine was light to medium.

Purchased the Maytag Aqualift self-cleaning oven and this feature doesnt work at all. I would have never have made this purchase if I knew the oven would not self clean. This technology with the water in the bottom to self clean is pathetic! I thought maybe it wasnt working and called for a repair since it was under warranty. The service man told me not to expect it to clean like a regular self-cleaning oven. But I complained that it did nothing at all! So now I have a self-cleaning oven that I have to clean myself!

Well I have the washer and dryer. I love the dryer, it is excellent! Now on to the washer. It tries to save water so I guess people in California would love it. I have a laundry room in the basement and one up on the top floor with the Bravos in it. I only do the clothes that are not dirty but a little smelly in the Bravos. Any clothes that are dirty I do in my 20 year old machine in the basement. Do not purchase this machine if you are under 56 because you will need a step stool. Everything I wash I do on the longest cycle because the other cycles do not get all the clothes wet. Think about what I just said. The machine does not get all the clothes wet. Do not purchase this machine. I really cannot call it a washing machine, but they look real pretty in the laundry room.

Purchased standard Maytag refrigerator w/ freezer on top in 2012. Freezer has never been able to keep ice cream. Never called for repair because after reading several of these complaints, mine seemed to be a minor frustration. However, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

As others have stated, cant wash more than a couple towels or 2 pair of blue jeans. The washer is useless. Purchased Maytag for quality and received crappy worthless machine. Maytag should take returns and refund buyers money!

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher model number mdb7749sbm in April 2013. March of 2015 the controls stopped working completely. We looked online and instantly found it was a problem among many others, and said it was a result of corroded ribbon cable. We opened the panel and, sure enough, inside the ribbon cable the electrical wires were completely rusted through! We called Maytag, and, of course, despite the numerous complaints of the same problem, they would only fix it if we paid $250, or send us a replacement part for $350 to fix ourselves. Not going to spend that much on a dishwasher that already cost $600 and only lasted 22 months! We are attaching a picture that shows after we tried cleaning the rust (when Maytag refused to fix it) how much of the electrical wires disintegrated! We tried soldering a small wire to connect it again, but the ribbon was so thin it just melted right through.
