This washer sucks so bad. Just got it a few hours ago and its absolutely horrible. The water just runs for the wash cycle. And I was told by the salesperson at Best Buy that it would save you water. Thats not the case. There is enough water to run over all the clothes. It doesnt agitate enough to even move the clothes around. The clothes basically sit at the bottom of the tub in the water doing nothing. This Maytag Bravo washer will be returned tomorrow. Me and my wife are highly disappointed. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. Weve decided to just get the old washer fixed and go from there. There are too many bad reviews for this washer to still be on the market. We feel that this was a total waste of time, energy and money.

Bought a Maytag Bravo washer, suppose to be the best of its kind from Home Depot. Should of known I was in trouble when it took them over four months to deliver it. It lasted two years before the bearing went on the machine. Whirlpool/Maytag was of no help. Ironically, the machine Im using today is my old Maytag I bought 17 years ago. The repair cost for the new machine was about 50% of the cost of the machine purchase.

The washer and dryer were purchased together as a set 4 years ago in 2010. There have been times where I actually had clothes come from the washer completely and partially dry due to lack of water inside the washer! It fills based on how many clothes are in the washer or capacity that it senses. I have had so many clothes dry washed and torn up due to its use! If you set the washer to the wrinkle control position it does not go through the last rinse and spin cycle, you must reset it to the rinse, drain, spin cycle again in order to finish processing that load.It has already thrown its belt 2 times! Which my husband had to fix since we could not get in touch with anyone at Maytag who knew what we were talking about! If change gets stuck inside the washer bin in the little groove in the tank it is very difficult to get out, Im sure everyone has washed a pair of pants with the change still in the pockets, yes I know this is user error but if you dont know the change is in the little grooves because you cant see them, it stops the washer! So be sure to search this every time you do laundry!The dryer has a mind of its own! Sometimes it will finish drying your clothes, sometimes it wont finish the time set! Theres no reason just doesnt finish! There is so many reasons I will never purchase this brand again. Ive run out of room and patience. My clothes look like Im homeless!

Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. I have a two year old version of this dishwasher (MDB894995BB3) and now the start and cancel light on the control panel stopped working. I now see that this is a common theme with this model and I feel it is their obligation to repair these units with permanent fix and not the same thing that will fail again. I have 3 different Maytag appliances all bought 2 years ago from Home Depot and they are all broken. I will never buy a Maytag product again. I might replace this dishwasher as I know it will fail again. 2 years on a dishwasher is a complete failure. Unreliable Junk. Do not buy Maytag.

I bought a new washer and dryer from Clarks Appliance on North Monroe St.,Tallahassee, FL. I do not like the washer. It is a top loader and has a lock on the lid. The pause button is supposed to let you open and then is supposed to continue the wash. But it releases all the water and shuts down. I asked to return the washer because I have had it only three weeks. They wont take it back. So now I would like to trade or sell it.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator bottom freezer at Home Depot in 2012/10/15. A few months ago, a sheet of ice formed on the bottom of the freezer. Since the warranty expired, I decided to look at the problem. Now, I am a mechanical person who usually can fix just about anything mechanical. I used a hair dryer to defrost the freezer and saw that the drainage hole was frozen over. I took the entire freezer apart, cleaned the drainage channel, the drainage hole and reassembled the freezer. No more than 24 hours later, the drainage hole was covered with 1/4-1/3 thick ice, the drainage hose and the tray were dry, and the bottom of the freezer was coated with ice. This one problem that I could not solve. The design is so poor, the draining water freezes over the hole before it drains. I read some of the consumers complaints and I just want to add that do NOT waste your money on repairmen, or parts from Maytag, the refrigerator is NOT repairable. I will write off my loss of $900 and look for a new refrigerator, but Maytag will never see my money again.

I bought my refrigerator in May of 2012. Brand new from Home Depot. It is less than 3 years old. Now it is not working. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I never thought in less than 3 years my fridge would stop working. I called Maytag, first question from them was about warranty. So I knew I was screwed. So, basically for $300 they would come out and fix the problem. I only paid $800 for the fridge. I am lost as to why in 3 years my fridge is broke?? Makes no sense to me. So I paid a tech $100 to tell me what was wrong with it. The evaporator is leaking. It is leaking. So the evaporator is bad and I cannot fix myself. So for another $300 they would fix, so a total of $400 in an $800 fridge.I am pissed. I remember my parents having a fridge for over 25 years. Why does Maytag not take responsibility for their problem. The products we buy should last longer than 3 years. It is just a way for them to get us to buy another product. So needless to say, I am one pissed off customer. So let the emailing and letter writing begin.

I purchased the Maytag Bravo model MGDB950YG on April 22, 2012. It worked great for a while then stopped heating and drying the clothes. After going through the Maytag procedure, a repair person assessed the problem, had to order the part then came back to repair it. But the same thing just happened again! Both Maytag and HHGregg need to go through the appropriate procedures, which leaves me without a dryer for who knows how long this time. Maytag will not do next day service probably because it costs them a little more. I think Maytag should have enough common sense to sometimes make exception to this. Today is Thursday and I cant get an appointment until Monday! I have owned two dryers prior to this which each lasted 10 years plus. I would be much more understanding if I had my appliance for more than 4 months (out of commission 2-3 weeks of the 4 months). Ive never been so disappointed in an appliance!

My Maytag MDB7749SAW0 Dishwasher starting acting up after around the first year. The lights on the Control Panel began to flash uncontrollably and it will run all day while I am at work. I called Maytag and they were nice but did not repair it because the warranty just ran out. The person on the phone said that it is a common problem with knob-less dishwashers, the humidity causes problems with the control panel. The cost to repair was over $300 to replace the control panel.

Purchased this machine to replace the recalled Samsung washer that was exploding. I should have kept my Samsung. I loved it and had no complaints, but since there were reports of it exploding I took the rebate and purchased the Maytag Bravo Nightmare. Everything you have read or will read here is true. I would spend hours, I mean hours trying to do a load of laundry. If the cycle would complete itself, the clothes would be soaking wet, and they never smelled clean. I would try rinsing again and the cycle would start out with 18 minutes and I would return to the machine 1 hour later and it would be still running water and still have 18 minutes or more left. I watched it complete the spin cycle and start the rinse cycle again. We had the service guy out several times - he would call the techs and they would test the machine and say nothing was wrong other than it was off balance. They said I was using the wrong detergent - when proving that I was using an HE detergent, they counseled me on how to lay the laundry into the machine, and said I was using too much laundry detergent. After babysitting this machine for more than a year, and being told by Lowes Customer Service that the techs say there is nothing wrong with the it, I was fed up. I called Lowes and told them to send their techs to my house to do the laundry. I threatened to call for service every week until my extended warranty was exhausted. They finally gave me a merchandise card valued worth the purchase of the machine. Now, I have the painful decision of deciding what to buy next - It wont be a Maytag!

After researching the top-rated washing machine in consumer reports, we decided to spend the extra cash ($930) and buy the top-rated machine. Spending almost double on a high end machine, you would expect this machine to last longer than three years. The motherboard needs to be replaced because it gets stuck on a UL code near the end of the cycle. Now, we have had two people come try to fix it, and they said to trash it and buy a new one. Only three years! If I had paid $300, I wouldnt be so upset, but that was a total waste of money for it to last less than any machine Ive ever had. How is a consumer supposed to know what a good washing machine is if they spend extra cash for the top-rated machine and that one is still bad? The company should replace something like a motherboard that goes faulty when it had nothing to do with use. So unfair and frustrating.

I tried to open the door to put clothes in the dryer and got severely shocked by 220 volts. The dryer is only a couple of weeks old. The power cord wasnt crimped and it fell out of the diggings and electrified the entire dryer. I guess we were lucky it didnt burn our house down. I took pictures then I fixed it myself.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher & installed Aug 15 2012. After installation the control panel wasnt working & Lowes replaced the dishwasher with the same model. After the years warranty was up I started having trouble with the second dishwasher panel. I limped along with it for months until I could not get it to work at all. A repairman came and said that the touchpad & board was damaged. He said it wasnt hooked up properly. After an estimate of over three hundred dollars we decided to rid ourselves of it and purchased another, cheaper brand. Was out 79 dollars for the repair estimate & over 500.00 for the Maytag dishwasher. Plus a new one installed for 700.00. Had the use of this appliance less than two years.

I purchased a gas range from Lowes - Maytag- Model #MGR8880AS in 2012. The range has been repaired on multiple occasions 11/2016; 3/2017; 5/2017. All three times they replaced the igniter and burner. On one occasion they replaced the computer board as well. (Each time they have informed me that this part was a recalled problem and under warranty). The stove is now out of warranty and having same issue. The stove fills with gas and the igniter does not ignite and does so intermittently. Maytag only wants to send repair company out at my expense. They need to replace the stove, because someone somewhere will die because of their product. I will purchase a new stove and not from Maytag. (All my appliances are Maytag). I also have a copy of my receipt and will provide if needed; I used my extended warranty through Lowes each time. I urge everyone not to purchase Maytag appliances.

Our current dishwasher was already installed when we purchased this house. It is adequate, however, it does not do a great job with caked-on food. This means that the worst dishes need to be pre-cleaned.

Bought a Maytag Front Load MHW6000AW washer and had a problem with amount of water in wash cycle. Dealer sent service men 3 times and changed several parts but washer still did not work and both repairmen said they did not know what was wrong. They called Maytag Tech Support but those people did not listen and said if no code shows up the machine is operating properly. Maytag then sent another company repairman. He worked 2 hours and said he could not find the trouble and Maytag support hung up on him. Maytag then sent another company repairman and he did one test and said the machine is fine and left in about 15 minutes total time. Now Maytag refuses to send another company for another opinion but I have a $1200 machine that still does not work properly. I am totally dissatisfied with Maytag and will stay away from their products totally. Companies wonder why people buy foreign equipment and this is the answer. I had a Samsung washer and never had one bit of trouble with it.

I purchased an expensive front-load washer and dryer a few years ago. About a year after I purchased the washer, there was a foul smell that developed. I contacted Maytag and they informed me of the directions to follow - keep the washer door open when not in use and use Affresh tablets periodically. I followed these directions and was unable to prevent the washer from developing mold in the washer. Id like to file a formal complaint on my washer and dryer. I want a refund on it. I paid way too much money on these units to suffer. Whirlpool owns Maytag and it appears that selling poorly made products is now their focus. When I purchased this Maytag 30 Gemini double oven range, I thought I was buying a superior product. Now, I am on my 3rd repair. When would it fail, on Christmas Eve morning when I am trying to prepare dinner for 20 people who are coming for dinner party. I paid too much for this piece of junk. From now on, I am buying from the scratch and dent sale because there are no quality appliances manufactured today. Buy cheap and it wont irritate you so much because no one especially Whirlpool owned companies focus on quality.

I just finished paying off my Maytag Bravos series washer and dryer, and now they are failing! The washer isnt getting dirt out and the dryer power button broke. And its not like I can use some pliers to get the switch to work, its like the part that controls the power just dropped out of existence, leaving me with a knob in my hand that connects to nothing! Of course, the limited warranty only covers the drums, not the little dinky parts that break more easily. I had inherited a set of Maytags and they were well over 20 years old (possibly 30) and they both were powerhouses. But this is terrible! I feel super disappointed that Im going to have to buy a new set after only owning these for 18 months. I know I WONT be buying Maytag ever again, though!

We purchased the washer and dryer set from Lowes about 5 years ago, and purchased the extended warranty fortunately for us. We had good luck with the washer for about 6 months, then we had to call problem service out because the washer filled with water but wouldnt do anything else. It took several days for the service people to come out and when they did, they had to order parts to do the repair, so we did not have a washer for a few days or a week. They got the washer fixed and everything was good for a few months, then our dryer quit working. We were told that the tub of the dryer had come off, so they had to order another one. So we were again without a dryer. Once they got the parts in the repair company that was sent out to fix our dryer, did not fix the dryer correctly so we had to call Lowes repair service to send someone out again. We have owned this set for over 4 years and once again our dyer has gone out. During all of this time, I and my Brother had to leave our job in order to be home and meet the maintenance people to fix both washer and dryer. I would not recommend this set to anyone, this is one of the worst sets that I have owned. I thought Maytag was a brand that you never had problems with, but we have had nothing but problems with this set.

Bought a Maytag MVWX655DW top loader clothes washer from Best Buy on 7-7-2020 it was delivered as promised on Friday 7-10-2020. The people who delivered it were very professional and nice. They did a great job installing it. My wife went to use it for the first time Saturday morning 7-11-2020. Luckily this washer had a see through door. We could not believe our eyes, it never put enough water in the tub to cover the clothes. So as we watched the clothes on top never participated in the wash, they just moved around. When it went to spin cycle it was making a loud clicking sound as it was shaking. So we tried different settings, after 3 loads I called BB and said I want to return it. This machine has been mislabeled, its not a clothes washer, its a noise maker at best. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. IT DOESNT WASH CLOTHES.

My Neptune has been a great washing machine. I did have to change the door gasket twice and just recently changed the bearings. My machine sounded like a jet engine. I ordered the parts on eBay, watched a YouTube video, and fixed my Neptune washing machine. Its still working and runs quietly.

The control panel went bad on our Maytag dishwasher of only 4 years that is only run about once a week, A replacement part would cost more than half of what the dishwasher originally cost, so we have decided to go with a KitchenAid. Not pleased at all with the longevity of the Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo in 2011. With only three adults in the house using it for regular clothes washing, we were surprised when we had to call a repairman and the charge was going to be over $500 to fix the transmission and clutch. We had the same problem as described in many of the other comments, i.e., door sensor would not work properly and machine would not spin. Not even worth it to fix. Word is that Maytag is made by Whirlpool and if this is true, it would explain the disappointment. We have replaced more Whirlpool appliances than I can count. Never again Maytag!

I bought my Bravos x washer and dryer set three years ago. Ive never been happy with them. You have to put the washer setting on bulky to even wash a normal sized load and they still dont come clean. Only three years old and Ive had problem after problem with the washer. As Im typing this I have a full load of clothes in the washer that will not wash, its full of water and wont even drain and spin. PLUS the lid wont unlock. So aggravated.

On February 2006, I purchased a Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher and on July 2007, a motor leak. Maytag fixed it for free even though it was out of warranty. Thereafter (December 2008), the touch pad failed and I replaced it for $50. It is now August 2011, and that new touch pad is bad again, and this time, the part is $170. The Maytag will not run and the lighted display will not function from the start button. This was a $450 dishwasher that is now only five years old and useless.In all fairness to Maytag, their customer service is very good and willing to work with customers. Unfortunately, the product is very inferior in my opinion. To have stupid stuff like a control touch pad failing every three years is absurd and the replacement cost makes fixing it a bad investment.I will be going out this weekend and buying a brand-new inexpensive dishwasher that is on sale for $229. This model is not a Whirlpool product but it is a name brand.

We purchased a Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher in June 2013. It worked well enough initially. We bought it because it had a large capacity and built in disposal. By August 2014, just after the warranty expired, the front panel gave out. To have someone even look at it cost $150. By following instructions from internet discussion groups by other people facing similar issues, we were able to get it to run in random mode. Programs were no longer indicated or selectable but dishes generally still got cleaned. Two months later a wheel fell off the premium rack glides. Finally after about 2 years of use, the dishwasher finally gave up altogether. At this point the stainless steel tub is no longer stainless. The entire device has worn poorly and looks shoddily made. This is the worst use of $900 I have ever made, and what tweaks me the most is Maytags attitude and their ludicrous warranty that barely lasts out the weakest link in the device.

Bought Bravos XL washer/dryer from Home Depot in November 2014; installed 12/8/14. First repair was in March 2015! Clean machine cycle quit working properly on 3rd attempt. Bearings were replaced, tub was replaced and main board was replaced all before May 2015. Wash load constantly becomes unbalanced if more than 3 bath towels are in the load or more than 2 pairs of jeans. Can not start a load of wash and leave home because the machine will start bouncing and rocking when unbalanced and will shut down after it tries to self-balance 3 times. You end up with a load of twisted up, totally wet mangled clothes. Maytag refused to replace the machine and Home Depot continues to sell this junk to unsuspecting buyers. Wish I had looked at reviews before I bought this model. Worst $1,200 Ive ever spent. I have always bought Maytag appliances--refrig, stove, dishwasher, microwave, other washers--but Maytag has lost me as a customer after this experience with them. Terrible design and poor customer service for not standing behind their products.

When my husband surprised me with a double oven stove I was leery. First Thanksgiving my thoughts were concurred as the 20lb turkey fell from the chinsey rack.....even a cookie tray with almonds fell down.... Unfortunately the lower oven is off by 1/2, no racks work in there. My biggest gripe is that the seller did not exchange it, just tried more racks. Now Maytag will not do anything but allow me to order more racks. This item is a huge piece of junk.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos Top Load washer 3 years ago from Home Depot. I have to admit this is the worst washer ever. The clothes does not appear to get clean enough for the amount of time it takes for the clothes to wash. The white clothes look dingy after a wash that I have gotten to the point of pouring an additional amount of bleach in the wash tub. The amount of water that is in the tub is next to nothing, I have to either add additional water or place no more than 20 pieces of clothing in the wash. This is sad and I regret that I wasted my money on this product and I do not recommend it. As soon as I get some extra money to throw away, this washer is going out with the bulk trash.

We had a house built in 2007 and bought all new Maytag appliances - washer, dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. Consequently, we spent many thousands of $ and Maytag made much money from our purchases. In the 7.5 years since we have been using these appliances, the dishwasher already had to be replaced, as fixing it would have cost just as much as buying a new one. But its the range that I am so angry about. I have replaced the igniter 3 times since 2007, and last night, it went out again. I have spent $494 so far to keep replacing the igniter and once I make the service call to replace it AGAIN, it means I will have spent approx. $700 to keep fixing an appliance that is only 7.5 years old. Maytag says the warranty on the appliance is only for 1 year and will not budge on giving me a break on cost of parts and/or service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase anything Maytag or recommend Maytag to anyone.

Maytag Bravo model MVWB750WQO. Bought this washer in 2009 for 1300 thinking it would last at least 10 years! Wrong! I loved it until a few months ago when it started making VERY LOUD noises during final spins. Sounded like the house was going to take off. Then today it started leaking water. Repairman said it needed a drum, seal and gasket. Would have cost 700-800 to fix. Needless to say we bought a new washer today, and it wasnt a Maytag!! For that much money I was expecting the washer to last a long time!

I have a Maytag purchased about a year ago. My old Maytag lasted 16 years. The salesman told us that they are now built to last 8 years. It’s pretty noisy, so much so that I have to close the door to the utility room. I guess it gets the clothes clean but it used very little water. Fortunately my model has an agitator but nothing like the old kind. After looking at many models, I feel this was the best choice for the value. It is top loading which I like.

This Maytag Dryer (Model #MEDP575GWO) was delivered January 29th and the paint on top of the dryer is bubbling and peeling. I haven’t even had the unit 4 months yet and they tell me the warranty for “cosmetic” reasons is on 30 days. This is completely unacceptable and I will sue them if necessary. I am in utter disbelief.

Its about Maytag MDE7600AYW Atlantis electric dryer issues, Nov 2005 model. There is an obvious design flaw. I have replaced the automatic dryer control board twice since 2005. The unit simply never shuts off, or cooks your clothes for 2 hours. Who will recall this unit and fix the circuit? They will not admit their error.

We are an extra-large family, and required an extra-large washing machine to handle our needs efficiently. We thought paying quite a bit more for the reliable Maytag brand name would be a good investment and worth it over the years... HA!!!! The Bravos XL model has turned out to be a major disappointment! It gives no manual control over the water level and you can actually have things come out of a load dry! The loads continually become unbalanced. Clothing is continually damaged - rips, tears, shreds. Wrinkles everything... even jeans?! Even with proper amount of detergent use and frequent affresh tab cleanings, the clean washer reminder light repeatedly comes on. It leaks from the bottom, although we cannot determine why or exactly where the leak is originating! It is a seriously frustrating, substandard product, and I cannot believe Maytag (and Sears, where we bought it) is continuing to sell this machine (and may I add at a crazy high price)! Both of these companies should be ashamed of themselves for peddling such poor quality washers and leaving their customers so dissatisfied! Stay clear of the Bravos XL!

We have had our side by side Kenmore for years and it hasnt let us down! We eat mostly fresh food since we cook a lot and we always have plenty of space for our food. We are only a family of 2 though. They say the ice maker is the first to fail and it has not given us any issues for nearly 10 years now! Love Kenmore!

I bought a Maytag washer about 4 months ago and the dryer the washing machine has went down a couple of times but I managed to get it to start again. This time it will not start back up. It just as a little water and stuff and will not lock and wash. It never gets the clothes clean and you have to wash them twice or at least a residue on the clothing. I hate this washer and Im very saddened that Maytag will not come out - told me that they had to find someone. There was no one in the area that could fix my washer. It has been nearly a week now and no response from them. Im going to have to buy another washer. I am so upset to spend nearly 800 some dollars on a brand new washing machine and it does not work. I think that was all the complaints that I have seen on this page so somebody needs to put them on the news and also someone needs to start a lawsuit against this company. Shame on you Maytag. Our front load washer is two weeks past the one year warranty and need $650 in repairs! I will never purchase a Maytag product again. My last Maytag was 19 years old when we got this new front loader for energy efficiency. You dont save money when you have to replace it after one year.

We have had our Maytag dishwasher MDB9100AWQ only 5 years and now it keeps shutting off. I see there is plenty of this complaint. I will not purchase another Maytag product after reading all these reviews and experiencing it.

Our brand new Maytag dishwasher model number MDB87749SBM2 was professionally installed on 7/31/2013. In fall of 2015 my control panel started acting up. I was unable to select certain wash cycles. The problem would come and go. By January 2016 my lock button would freeze and I was unable to unlock or select any wash cycles. By February 2016 my control panel went out completely. It wont turn on, not a single light. It is fried.When Googling the issue I found that we are 1 of MANY with faulty control panels not only on our particular model but on many Maytag dishwashers. They all seem to have the same problem, right around to 2-3 year old mark. One would think dishwashers would last, like before. A dishwasher shouldnt need to be replaced or need a major repair so soon. The one our new dishwasher replaced was 12 years old and was working just fine. We just wanted to upgrade to stainless steel. Wow what an upgrade haha! Maytag should be recalling these control panels. Their name is no longer a trusted name in our home.

I purchased a Maytag Top Loader Washer MVWX500XL last May 2011 from Home Depot to replaced our 15-year old GE washing machine. Two weeks ago, it started making horrible noise like a jet engine taking off during spin cycle. I called in the Maytag repairman and was told that the bearing is gone and it will cost $ 493.00 to repair it. He claims that the damage is caused by not using HE detergent exclusively and he refused to leave us a written estimate. We are only three adults in our household and we do our laundry once or twice a week. For this machine to be repaired only after 2 1/2 years of light service and for almost the same cost as a new one, I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool products ever again and I will encourage everyone the same.

Wish I had reviewed Consumer Affairs reports. When our old Maytag stove required repairs we decided to upgrade old stove instead of putting money into old unit. Looks like a huge mistake. Not only was there a delay in receiving unit after placing order but oven will not preheat. Two weeks before Thanksgiving we were promised a working unit. Now we are only 2 days from Thanksgiving, 2 repair companies have been at home to repair. Requires new circuit board and a new regulator to repair and no promise we can obtain parts. Now I have to figure out how to feed my family for holiday. I am pretty well done and after reading other reports that they are better in junkyard I think I will try to make them take back this defective Model 8800 product. Sitting in our kitchen unusable for the holidays. Dont buy Maytag as customer service does not exist.

The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

On 9/8/09, I purchased a Maytag ceramic glass top range, model MER7662WBO. The right front dual burner has what look like worms in the burner. The other burners are clear. Maytag has replaced the top three times and the burner once. The top has gone bad again and they are calling this a cosmetic now and will not replace the top. I think there is a problem with the tops. I have purchased my last Maytag product. I buy for looks also.

My model has 2 ovens which I love. A smaller one & a regular sized one. It also has a cooktop. The cooktop always has “marks” on it from the pots & pans. No matter how careful we are, the pots leave marks. We even bought new pots & they leave marks. Something that we do like is that 2 of the burners have “select a size” so these burners can be used for small or larger pots.

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

In August my GE refrigerator of 22 years bit the dust. Went to our local appliance center and purchased this unit for $2100. Have only had it a month and am so dissatisfied with the water dispenser, ice machine and doors, I want to return it. I cant wait for all the other things to go wrong with it. I dont know who the engineer was behind this but he needs to be fired. I really wish I had reviewed this refrigerator before purchasing it as I will never recommend Maytag again after reading all the bad reviews. The name Maytag used to mean something dependable and made well... Rant over.

I put a lot of thought into my new dishwasher and decided to go with what I thought was one of the best. At just over the 1 year mark the rinse aid stopped dispensing product. Now after another 6 months the controls are not working. Being a widow living alone on a limited budget, I am not putting hundreds of dollars into getting this piece of junk repaired. MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR SAFETY ISSUE SHARP EDGE Maytag refrigerator model MRT118FFZ01 purchased Feb.2018. There is a safety issue, sharp edges. Maytag has been aware of this for over 1yr from customer reviews. I went to consumer affairs.com and there are numerous complaints on products/customer service. I have been asking for a replacement door since Feb. On Sept. 7th I cut the palm of my hand on sharp edge, drew blood, no stitches but I was very upset. Called Maytag, transferred to the safety dept. sent out service tech. He reported that it was a safety issue, very sharp edge, he had to put duct tape on corner to prevent any more injuries! He requested that new doors(freezer&refrigerator door) only be sent, I do not want/need the whole unit replaced. Freezer door has sharp edge also. I have numerous emails to/from corporate office begging since Feb. for a new doors so that this would not happen! Maytags solution is to buy back refrigerator or I should pick another model. Neither is a solution for me. I picked this model for a reason. I asked them to provide me with the simplest solution which is to contact factory where it is made, red flag it, talk to manager, quality control check to see that there are no sharp edges before it is shipped to me. They refuse to do that 1 simple common courtesy, customer service request! They cannot guarantee that door will come without a sharp edge! My model is not the only 1 with this problem. I talked to salesman & model in store has sharp edge & in the reviews the same model had sharp edge which was submitted over 1yr ago! So Maytag has been aware of this safety issue for some time now but chooses to do nothing about it! I chose Whirlpool because of the name, I thought it stood for quality & above all excellent customer service. Was I wrong, found that out thru numerous phone/email conversations. They just dont care! Is it too much to ask Maytag to give me a refrigerator with no safety issues?!!! I have talked to Aaron in the corporate office, he was no help at all. His # 866-817-5404 ext **. I have all the emails to/from him. Please help, I want this same refrigerator, only model that would work for me. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in March 2005. About every 8 to 12 months since Ive owned it, the control panel malfunctions and needs to be replaced. I was told by the repairmen (similar to the many other postings below) that the malfunction is due to a faulty design where warm moisture shorts out the electronic control panel. For a few years, I paid for a service contract. But this seemed quite unfair, given the regularity of the same malfunction. Given that this is such a common problem, isnt there some responsibility by Maytag? This is clearly a faulty design. What about the legal responsibility for a recall? Is it possible that, together with other aggrieved owners, a lawsuit against Maytag would be the appropriate action?

18 month old range did not shut off although it showed off on the cancel page. $800 down the toilet. Maytag had the guts to charge $100 to troubleshoot plus parts and labor. I will donate it to scrap metal. Company does not give a rats behind. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG.

Never buy from Maytag. I and my daughter bought from them two refrigerators of them. After one month my daughter started to fix. I am started after one year or it is leaking. Our freezer destroyed and realize this after one day all my food I throw away. The same was with my daughter refrigerator. My daughter have old refrigerator it is working without problem for 50 year never fixed. Never ever buy from them anything. It is good I was at home. Sometimes I am traveling if it happens this time. I do not want to think about this. For fixing you have to pay lot of money. I hate that I purchased something with them.

In 2011, I purchased 2 Maytag dishwashers, one for my tenant and one for myself. In 2014, the circuit board on my tenants dishwasher failed, when the unit was only 3 years old and of course out of warranty. I first contacted a local repair person, and he informed me that the repair plus service would be close to $300. When I contacted the company, after about an hour on the phone, they agreed to send their authorized repair service person and after his evaluation, would repair the unit with no charge to me, as a courtesy. This whole process took about 2-3 weeks. I felt that was fair. It is now 2015, and my unit, which I purchased at the same time and the same type, now is not working due to a faulty circuit board. My tenant uses her dishwasher more frequently, and that is most likely why her circuit board went first. This is a design flaw, or perhaps planned obsolescence. After considerable wait times, I spoke to someone who set up a diagnostic repair call, giving me the impression that Maytag would cover it. I called Maytag again, and they agreed to let the repair company charge back the diagnostic fee. After diagnosing the problem, it was determined the problem was the control panel and not the circuit board. The cost to repair with tax came to $315.85 and it was only this low because the repair company waived the return service trip. I can get a new dishwasher for a little over $400.00. I am very disappointed in Maytag, because I remember the commercials where the Maytag repair man was bored because the products were so dependable they never broke. My unit is only 4 years old, and its sad that it costs so much to repair it.

In 2007, we bought a Maytag Neptune Washer Dryer Combo from Lowes. By 2008, the washer started stopping operation at every rinse setting, requiring someone to constantly monitor the machine to assure that the button was pushed to fulfill the entire cycle. We called a repair company and were told that the machine was shutting down because the screen in the water intake was getting clogged with debris and was making the machine feel that the water was shutting off. Thus, according to the repair man, the machine was shutting itself off. He showed me how to clean the screens in the intake line and charged me about $150 for the service call. Within a week the machine was doing the same thing again. I pulled out the screens and they were clean. We continued to watch over the washer whenever it was doing the wash and continued to push the button to restart the machine. We live in a very rural area and there are really no repair services available without paying enormous fees just to get them to make a call and the wait is often more than a week.Shortly after the intake incomplete cycle problem, the washing machine stopped getting the water out of the clothes in the spin cycle, forcing us to wring out the clothes before putting them in the dryer. Then we noticed that the washer was leaking from the bottom rear all over our hardwood flooring. We went out and bought a new washer dryer based on reading consumer reports.The cost to replace this piece of crap from Maytag was in excess of $1600. We are only in this house part of the year so this Maytag product not only did not work very well over the short time that we owned it, but it was only being used for a few months out of the year. We have since learned that there was a class action suit over this product line and would like to know how to join the suit. We are so far out in the woods that we will not get our new washer / dryer until some 2 weeks out from our purchase. We have spent nearly $3,000 since 2008 on washer dryers, an average of $1,000 a year.

Bought this because of the load capacity and it seemed like it would be a good purchase to help save on water. But worst mistake ever. The water level barely touches the clothes on top. It barely has any water whatsoever. All my dark colored clothes come out with residue. It’s disgusting and cleaning with Affresh does no good either. Very disappointed with the company.

I purchased my Maytag gas range (model number mGR7665WB) on Thanksgiving 2011! It worked fine until May 2012. Then the bake function just stopped working. If I select bake, the temperature fails to rise above 100F and a sickening gas smell fills the kitchen! PC Richards, where I purchased the product from, sent a repairman who took two weeks and two visits to fix the part! Everything was working fine until six months later during cooking for a full house on the day of my daughters birthday party. Same problem, bake function failed again along with gas smell! I was pregnant at the time and very worried about the gas smell! We had to leave the house a few days after that due to the hurricane and when I returned, everything worked great for a few weeks only to fail on Christmas Eve leaving me to cook the meat for our Christmas Day dinner in a neighbors house, highly embarrassing and inconvenient! Now Maytag and PC Richards are only able to repair at a high cost to me which I cant afford and feel I shouldnt be responsible for as this product has been consistently unreliable and possibly dangerous. I am especially concerned about the gas smell as I have a newborn and a 3-year old in our small apartment!

I have a Maytag washer that I bought new in 1995! It is still washing my clothes like a champ. It must be true - the Maytag repairman is a lonely soul, in all these years I have never had to call him!

I purchased the Maytag Neptune set in 2004 and was not informed there was a class action lawsuit and was never notified. When washer quit working, I called Maytag who sold me a $300 service contract. They came out and said they couldnt fix the washer and I needed to buy a new one. I paid a fortune for this piece of junk and now have to spend another $700 to get a new washer. I will never buy Maytag again. How can they get away with selling washers that are on recall and involved in a lawsuit?

Eighteen months after purchasing the Maytag Bravos, I had to have the motherboard replaced. Maytag offered nothing except a list of names for repairmen in my area. Now another 18 months later, the washer gets out of balance (this is a self-balancing machine, supposedly) at least three or four times for every load. Since it is all electronic, you cant select a spin cycle without the machine adding more water into the tub. Again, this does not self-correct the out of balance problem. Trying to balance the cloths several times during a wash cycle extends the length of time it takes to wash one load on average two hours. Maytag offers no customer service or customer support. Im sure their call center is not located in any part of the United States. I will never purchase another Maytag appliance.

Bought this washer back in March of 2016. This is the biggest piece of garbage that I ever came across! That washer does not clean clothes, when they are dirty. If I stand in the rain dressed in dirty clothes, they get cleaner than in the washing machine. In 5 month I have tried every possible variation of washing to no avail. I have to handwash the clothes that I wear to work in the garden, or any other dirty job, because the washing machine does not do the job! I bought that washer at ABC warehouse, I paid almost $400 for the thing, and I have to handwash my dirty clothes!!! Shame on you!!!

I have had this washer for a few years now and it is the WORST machine ever. It never gets clothes fully clean as air gets trapped in some items so they stick out above the water. The drum only fills about 1/4 of the way no matter what you are washing. It is always unleveling and you have to constantly re-arrange bed sheets and larger items. I have to first soak larger items before the wash cycle. Nice HE machine. When I purchased this machine the sales person said you can wash 10 bath towels. I read the directions which said make small piles of clothes and I called and told her that after I had purchased the machine. Her reply was oh, I didnt know that. Obviously. This top loader without the agitator cleans great if you only throw in about 10 thong underwear at a time or two pair of jeans.

I went to Home Depot in Kennesaw, Ga to purchase new W&D combo. I had found what I wanted but when the sales went to complete my order, the units I selected werent available. She talked me into the Maytag Bravo, but I specifically stated I needed a large tub because I wash a lot of towels and sheets. Well this expensive piece of shhh, doesnt even get all the items wet. Ive had to lift the lift and physically flip items in tub, especially with towels and sheets. Also, the washer is loud, did I say loud, I mean freaking loud. The dryer is fine, but I bought combo for a reason... Pricetag $1200.00 with my discount. I waited a week for delivery, I am mad as hell. Whats point of having large tub, when you barely get enough water. Luckily I found out now, so I can have them pick this CRAP UP, Do not buy. Theyre cute looking, but washer does not get your clothes clean.

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

2 Year old washer. First the actuator was replaced. A 150.00 charge. Two months later the pump is shot. Another 200,00 to replace the pump. This is worst piece of ** washer I have owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

This is the second Maytag appliance in less than 5 years to stop working. The first was a dishwasher. I got 14 months use out of before the control panel burned out. Fixed it for $125 only to have it happen again in 6 months and repair company said parts are only 3 months warranty. Cost me $5 to bring to landfill. Now the matching Refrigerator is making a loud humming noise and Ive been told its the compressor.

I bought a brand new Maytag bottom freezer fridge on Aug. 12th, 2012. The main compressor went out on Memorial Day of 2013. I contacted the store I bought it from; they referred me to a local repairman who fixes Maytag. I talked to him and told him the problem along with the make & model of mine. He ended up telling me what exactly the problem was, & there were about 5 people ahead of me with the same fridge, & same problem... all main compressor problems. Check this out. Seems a little ** one of a small child crawled into the washer and a sibling turned it on. We have been married 35 years and seen a lot of washers and this is by far the worst wash machine Ive ever seen. How would you rather do my wash in an old fashioned mangler? Very unsatisfied customer.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator (freezer on the bottom) in August 2012. In 2014 we had to have the freezer repaired (defrost drain) which cost $153. This month, July 2015, we had to have the refrigerator repaired for another $293. The problem with the refrigerator the repairman told us is the control board (p/n W10503278). He stated that they didnt make the first board very well and hes been replacing this part quite frequently for customers. I only spent $799 on the refrigerator and I already have $446 into it. That is half of what I paid for it! I wouldnt recommend Maytag to anybody!

I bought this washer three years ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. Washing a load of clothes, it goes off balance constantly, large load, small load...it doesnt matter. The smell because of low water usage is awful, and the clothes dont come out clean. I have to buy a new one and that really stinks. Maytag youre off my list for purchases. These days its quality that will keep you in business. We are too smart for this garbage.

The control panel acts just like the other reviews on here. The cancel light stays on. If I close the door, the washer automatically starts up again. It is unusable and it costs too much to have it repaired. First and last Maytag product for me.

I have never been so disappointed in purchasing an appliance for my home. The Maytag Bravo XL large capacity top loader, has never worked properly, and I have many ruined pieces of clothing. Although it has a very large capacity, the water barely fills to a 1/4, and clothes are sticking out of the water, while they are supposed to be submerged/being washed IN the water. Clothes come out of the washer smelling foul. WORST WASHING MACHINE EVER.

April 26, 2011, I purchased a Maytag top and bottom fridge from Home Depot. After a few days, I noticed frost starting to form in my frost-free freezer and the fridge wasnt really that cold. I adjusted the dials thinking that may do the trick. Nothing changed, it was all the same and instead, frost was thicker. I contacted Maytag, which by the way was taken over by Whirlpool. I told them my situation and since I had just bought the fridge, I wanted a new replacement. They told me things didnt work that way, that I had to honor the warranty. Fine, we are almost entering October now. I have had several services calls, I have written to the Better Business Bureau, I have lost a few hundred dollars worth of food for it would be full of ice and had to be thrown out, I have contacted the executive offices of Whirlpool but they, along with the Better Business Bureau are not doing a thing. Tomorrow, once again, I am having a service call and once again, I know the issue will not be fixed. All I wanted was to either get my money back, along with extra for the loss of food or for them to just exchange it for another one, since this one was purchased with a problem. I really dont think that its right that they are able to get away with this. Just looking at this page, I see that there are plenty of people with this same issue. What is being done about it? I purchased a Maytag model 4000 Front Loading washer in April 2010 and in May 2011, the tub bearings went out which is a $600 repair. Now in January of 2012, the tub bearings are going out again. Neither Lowes nor Maytag are willing to do anything to remedy the situation. Do not buy Maytag and do not buy from Lowes. Their major appliance buyer has to know about this and continues to retail a product not fit for its intended purpose.

I purchased a new Maytag range (gas) in June of 2012 - 6 months ago. I have had the same problem many others have had (as Ive just read) with the toxic smell every time I used the oven. I was told it was just the chemical burning off from being new. I have never owned a new oven so I took their word for it. On Christmas day, my kids and I were going to bake cookies and set the oven to preheat. Flames and black smoke were shooting out of the range, and the fire department was called. Even after the fire department put out the fire and removed the stove from my kitchen to my front porch, they spent more time investigating the situation to make sure my home was safe than the certified Maytag repair person that was dispatched out by Maytag to service the range. This stove is only 6 months old and still under warranty with Maytag. The service person they sent out did not take the stove apart and spent less than 5 minutes looking it over; then he determined that it was a grease fire caused by owner’s negligence. I disagreed with him and told him I have been cooking for many years and thought he did not do a thorough job to determine the problem with the range. He got very upset with me, took his bag and left without leaving me a service slip. I asked Maytag to send someone else out and explained to them that this service person did not do a sufficient job in examining the range, nor did he perform any kind of service to get the range back in working condition. Maytag claims they will not send anyone else out, and there is nothing more they will do for me. They say it is my fault it caught fire; and if I want it fixed, I have to pay for it myself even though it is still under warranty with them. My stove is still on my porch where it has been since Christmas day. I then visited Maytags Facebook page and corresponded with others whom have had similar issues with their products and the lack of customer service from this company. Maytag has now blocked me from commenting on their Facebook page. The customer service rep on that site asked me to email her all my information about the range and my issues with it, and she assured me she would respond to the matter. As of yet, I have heard nothing back. I am terribly dismayed by the way I have been treated by this company, their so-called certified service technician, and that they do not honor their warranties or stand by their products. I am cooking for a family of 5 in a 12-year-old microwave (which is not a Maytag by the way) after spending over $600.00 on a brand new range.

I have a new HE (high efficiency) washer. It takes getting used to as its a definite change from the old agitating system but I think I like it. It doesnt make much in the way of suds but everything still comes out really clean. The wash cycle is much longer than my old washer but it uses a lot less water.

A pure piece of junk this wash machine is. It is more of a merry go round than a wash machine. I do not understand how it can be called energy efficient. All it does is spin and spin and clothes come out as beautifully dirty as they were loaded. If you make the mistake of putting a few extra clothes (machine calls itself a large capacity), clothes bunch up and one has to pull them apart. The bleach dispenser was used as one would use a bleach dispenser. However it is all rusted. I had bought extended warranty from Lowes but Lowes did not honor the warranty saying rust was a cosmetic issue. Yet when Lowes sold the extended warranty, they did not specify cosmetics were not covered. It is not even cosmetic. It simply is cheap enamel paint.I have used 200 dollar wash machines but never have I experienced such a horrible and annoying product. I will try one more time to see if Maytag will help out with the rust issue. If not, I will simply cut my losses and buy a regular cheap machine. Maytag should be ashamed of itself. I bought a Maytag because I thought they made the best machines!!! Oh! Well, maybe they did at one time.

We purchased a washer and dryer two years ago. The washer got louder and louder until we realized something was wrong and we called to get it fixed. Luckily, that was within the time of the warranty. The noise, however, began getting louder and louder within a very short time. Maytag refused to fix it again. Now, the washer sounds like a jet engine and wont drain the water at all.

My 2.5 year old hood range microwave stopped heating. I called repair guy, he charged $115.00 for barely a half hour and said he tightened a part and it should be fine OR the part would need to be replaced. Guess what!... That night microwave is still not heating anything. Dinos Appliance Repair is responsible to repair but Maytag doesnt stand behind its product. How do I get my money back when a repair doesnt repair anything? I wont buy Maytag again or GE.

Maytag refrigerator model MFF2558VEM9 purchased in November 2012 from Home Depot for $1329 suddenly would not maintain freezer temperature under high 20s in April 2017 (4 years, 5 months). Repairman says it has coolant leak, probably due to corrosion within the sealed system. Cost to repair - $1500. Repairman says this is a common problem.

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

I purchased a 2011 Bravos top loader washer machine. Doing a minimal amount of laundry for 2 persons, the Bravos is in disrepair needing bearings and an inner and outer tub. I was told to purchase a prepaid service call for $350 that will cover repairs plus a mere 1 year additional warranty. The washer sounds like a jet plane, gives off fouls odors, has black tar like residue after each wash and clothes never smell clean. Maytag has no complaint process, except an online chat that tells you to buy the prepay. Maytag has dumped a lemon on consumers and arrogantly expects us to pay for their garbage. They are disrespectful, dishonest and greedy and dont deserve anyones hard earned money for their ill made products.

2011 model MVWC2oox W1- spin dry failure - We purchased above top loader in 2011 and have had no issues until now. Currently constant failures on spinning and drying. Spin cycle stops without getting up to speed and appears to be an unbalanced load sensor problem. Also draining is not completed (possible pump going bad). Area tech came out within a week as promise and ran the diagnostics and found no faults. Problem has continued. We do a load a week. Looking for better answers or a new washer.

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

The machine has left pin-sized holes in finer clothing since we first used it. I had purchased the extended warranty so they were called out to repair the issue four times during the warranty. They replaced the drum, but I still get holes. I think it is because there isnt enough water to rotate the clothing and it rubs repeatedly against the same spot on the other clothing. I have a see-through lid and you can see that the clothing just moves very slightly in the same position. I separate all clothing that has a zipper or any trim that may rub against the finer fabrics, but I am still getting pin-sized holes. We requested compensation or a new machine. They extended the warranty. We have replaced enough clothing that we are now buying a new machine. It will NOT be a Maytag.

PURCHASED WASHER FROM LOWES. IT STOPPED WORKING IN 2 WEEKS. CALLED MAYTAG FOR SERVICE. First repair service wanted to charge me. Next repair company Rawlings made 2 visits, looked at washer 1st visit said they had to order top latch. 2nd visit need circuit board. 3 weeks passed no latch, no circuit board, nor repair service. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER.

DO NOT PURCHASE UNLESS you want dirty clothes that smell.... Water level not correct, binding laundry together and replaced the same parts with cheap parts over and over... just wanted clean clothes in a no frills washer. NOT with this washer. Owned it 3 yrs and disliked it the first half washed load... $869.00 heap of junk.

I bought the Washer and Dryer. All I can say about this washer is that it does not use water enough to be considered a commercial type of washer. Its balance is poor also for being so deep. I have to pour a bit of water on the clothes so the sensor thinks it’s a heavy load and do an extra rinse. And I saw that on a video regarding this washer trick. But I’m wasting more water cause I have to rearrange the clothes when done. I put the top ones on the bottom and start over. To me it’s a waste of effort sometimes I just go to the laundromat. They should consider their products if we all are complaining about this they should really do something. To me the washer is really useless.

Ive owned the stainless steel version of the Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749SBM purchased on Sept 6th 2013. July of 2014, my first control panel went out. Lights not responding. Was within the 1 year warranty period. Now, that panel is acting up again. I called Platinum Factory service and they wanted to charge me for a new panel and the labor. Well, I used a few choice words on how I felt and the customer service person said the part would be free. Well, nothings free as I scheduled a visit by the Platinum Factory Service. They of course call 5 times to make sure you are home. The day of the service, the tech calls me to see if Im home. I of course said I am... then, he goes to tell me the labor charge for him to come out and hourly rate will come to $189!!! I said screw it and dont bother. Maytags quality and engineering SUCK. Avoid them...

Well I must say I concur with all previous posts. I just replaced my Bravos with a Samsung after my jet plane of a washer died. My repair guy said it was not worth it to fix it. I had already replaced the shocks two years ago but I did have mine for 8 years. I have had the same problems as previous posts - rust, smell, holes, broken, too expensive! Hello to Samsung!!

I bought a refrig from Home Depot on 10-16-2012 two years ago and it doesnt work, but they only put one year warranty on. So had to go out and buy another. My complaint a refrig should last more than two years but they were going to send repairman out on my expense and more than likely would of cost me the price of a new one.

My 1 year old Maytag Bravos 300 dryer caught fire on Nov. 21, 2011 after the first one was replaced. Firemen came. Luckily, it didnt spread to the house. The first one wouldnt dry my clothes.

Purchased our Maytag Bravo Quiet Series 300 about 5 years ago and came to this site to read about other washing machine complaints because I am looking for a new washer. Was SHOCKED to hear so many similar complaints to mine (our local appliance store who sold us this unit, as well as services it, said this was unusual). Tiny holes in all our clothes! Black marks on clothes! Dirty clothes! LOUD & BUMPY washing - will sometimes walk itself around the laundry room, slamming into wash sink & dryer (there are dents to prove the violence). UL light that stops the machine & cant be resolved even after I untangle & lift water-soaked items. Finally started seeing black marks splattering out from under machine & was told the bearing is bad and the case (?) is leaking? ... Anyway, result to repair is MORE THAN ITS WORTH.Also have a 3 year old Maytag Quiet Series 300 DISHWASHER, that does not clean well, sometimes leaves half the dishes untouched (dry & dirty), grinds food waste & redistributes onto dishes before baking it on tight (requires soaking to loosen, then wash by hand) ... Oh, and is NOT quiet! I was told I probably use TOO MUCH SOAP. Seriously?!? My complaint is NOT soap residue ... It is D.I.R.T. How can you run a load and still have sauce & ketchup that dripped onto the inside of the door when loading the dishwasher STILL on the inside of the door??? Darn thing cant even clean itself!

This is beyond one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made! It has been about 15 months since purchasing this dishwasher, and as of today it is not working! Blinking start button. I see from the hundreds of disappointed customer comments that I am not alone. With this many people complaining of the same issue, that Maytag should have a recall... I paid about $550. I get that quality does not supersede the almighty dollar, but come on!

I have had nothing except trouble with my new Maytag Bravos washer! I first had a suspension arm or something like that replaced along with the agitator. My water cycle has never worked correctly since it was new. I take out the clothes and half are still dry. My daughter washed her kids’ clothes in the washer while she was living with us and the stains did not come out. She thought that is really unusual since they werent stains that normally you would see left on the clothes. I went to my father-in-law’s house (they have a front loading Bosch), took her detergent with her that she used here and guess what? It’s just one washing and the stain was gone. She had washed the clothes in our washer at least 7 times trying to get out the stain. Now, we have such a loud noise that it sounds like it is going to take off. Then, the bottom of the washer started to leak. We took it out and checked it and we cant find the leak. The clothes smell awful when they come out of the wash. I dont know if it is bacteria build up. I use the cycle cleaner when I am supposed to. This is so sad. This is the first time I have had matching washer and dryer and I wish I would have kept my old Sears model that worked great. I havent decided if we want to fix it. With the price to fix it, I can buy one I might like. Never will I buy Maytag again or another Whirlpool without checking out the reports.

We have had this machine for too long. It starts banging and making tremendous amounts of noise. We have balanced it and tried loading it in different ways but when it starts to spin it apparently tries to even the load somehow that results in very loud noises and movement of the washer in the laundry room. Terrible machine. If we could afford it we would trash this one in a heartbeat and buy a different brand.

3 year old Maytag Washer model MVWX600XW broke. Paid $345.55 for extended warranty. I had to wait 10 days for Appliances Unlimited to fix the washer in Sept. then the washer broke again in November needing 3 more parts including a motor. It took almost 2 weeks for Appliances Unlimited to come to the house, then I have to wait 5 weeks for a new motor to be in stock.

I bought Bravos xl. I hate it! Everything about it. It does not get my clothes clean and it ties load in knots therefore being off balance constantly.
