Maytag washer leaves clothes more wrinkled after a wash than they were in before being cleaned. And these are not full laundry loads. Then using the Maytag dryer is a joke. Need to run double times or extended times on most of the settings to get them completely dry. When it comes to the wrinkle free setting... what a joke. Clothes might be close to dry but wrinkled. Have always had Maytag products since forever. Tried Samsung for the last set-----washer lasted 6 years and then needed a full overhaul. Cheaper to buy a new set. Went back to Maytag. MISTAKE. Samsung did a lot better job of washing and drying. Now stuck with Maytag until... when? Retired and dont have the funds to get new replacements. Just my opinion though.

The machine runs and runs and runs and still the clothes come out dirty. Clothes are often not even wet all over. The Maytag HE water-saving washer is a terrible Hoax. The dryer also is faulty. It rolls the clothes into a big, undried ball of dirty clothes.

Before putting clothes in dryer you have to untangle them. Sweaters and even t-shirts become stretched beyond help. Clothes smell like mildew if you leave them in the washer even just a couple of hours. Im 50 and had a few washer/dryers and these take the cake. Ive used the washing machine cleaner/refresher (something I have never done on washers in the past) and still a mildew smell. The dryer has lint on both sides of the lint screen. And as stated before if you dont untangle your clothes they come out in a big knot, partially un-dried & very wrinkled. The lint on both sides of the screen concern me - Ive never had a dryer do that before. Its not much lint on one side but enough to think something is not right.

I purchased the washer and dryer approx 6 or 7 years ago. Out of the gate about a year the pump had to be replaced on the washer- 2010. 1/2012 the tub needed to be replaced, 6/2012 the PUMP needed to be replaced again! Then 2013 the dryer need a new board at the tune of $391.00. And today, yes - yet once again I need a new pump! Over $2,000 in repairs on these awful machines. I called Maytag because I thought maybe they would care - not so much. The rep told me that the Bravos models were discontinued (shocker) but that she could give me a discount on a new comparable version at ONLY $600. How nice! I will use these until they fail again - which according to history - that wont take long and then I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase a Maytag product again. We work hard for our money and continually giving it to a company (for parts) for a product that they failed to make a quality product is not going to happen again! DO NOT BUY MAYTAG. Do your research and give your money to companies that care. MAYTAG should be held accountable and a class action suit should be filed. They need to GET IT and they never will if we sit back and let them take advantage of consumers.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

I purchased the Bravos washer and dryer suite. Since I was a small child I had heard my parents and others alike say that Maytag always had superior products as this is the reason when I was fortunate enough to purchase a new set I chose a Maytag brand. We that was the past and the present products et washers /dryers as the worst ever. I have had my set less than 2 years and today had to go out and buy a used one again. I have had nothing but trouble with these 2 and will never buy their brand of anything again. From the amount of poor reviews it appears I am not alone. I tried several times to no avail to have someone from the company contact me as I was put on hold too many times!

Maytag Bravos Washer 300 Quiet Series Model MVWB700VQ0 - Nothing about it is quiet. Worked pretty well the first year. Spin cycle works too well. It twists and rips. The second year it needed a new pump because a dime got into it and cracked the pump. When you wash anything bulky you better sit and watch it because it will almost certainly go off balance. Year three Sd (suds or slow) code started flashing and washer stopped half way through. Not sure why suds because I only use HE Tide, no perfumes or dyes due to my daughters sensitivity. I use Affresh as directed and on schedule. Was told it was a slow drain, found two dimes in the filter and a lot of lint. Still not working and flashing Sd... stops half way, agitator moves left to right doesnt spin. When the diagnostic was performed, the basket spun but when it stopped it made a grinding noise. Now it might be that it needs new bearings! So much for the Maytag reputation. Its junk and I will not be buying another Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore or any other product from their affiliates. Not purchasing anything from Sears again either. Also I will be canceling my subscription to Consumer Reports because they highly recommended this product. Shame on Maytag. How do we start a class action suit?

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. Washer sounds like gearing is broken, is noisy during operation, various combinations of options dont work, appearance of only one agitation cycle combination on washer, just many settings but all with the same response; dryer does not timely dry clothes, all settings default to the same palpable heat temperature; clothes take much longer to dry in new dryer than they did in old Maytag. Newer Maytag set appears to be secondhand garbage sold as new by Menards. Company unresponsive to complaints.

We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag may have been king in the 60s, but the quality of their products has tanked. Dont waste your money on their products.

We first purchased a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set. We loved them. Had them for 15 years with no problems. When we decided to get a new washer and dryer, we were loyal to the Maytag brand. I was immediately drawn to the Maytag Bravos XL due to the extra large capacity. What a mistake! This washer and dryer pair take more than two hours to complete a single load of laundry. It often takes more than one wash to get clothes clean. If you wash an extra drum large load of laundry, often times there is not enough water and agitation to even get all of the clothes wet. I have a one-year-old boy and a six-year-old boy, their clothes get very dirty. This washer Does not get food off of my one-year-old’s bibs. And my six-year-old’s clothes come out looking as if they haven’t even been washed. What a disappointment! My husband and I are going out today to purchase a new washer and dryer set after having just purchased these Maytags in April last year. What a waste of money! Please include me if a class-action suit it’s taken.

I purchased a Neptune washer/dryer front loader. All Neptune washers have basic design flaw over which the company should be sued. Since the bulk of the weight is in the front of the horizontal wash-drum, the entire assembly is suspended by a rear mounted bearing allowing the drum to spin. That bearing assembly is woefully under-designed and not able to support the unequally distributed weight that is inherent in any front load design.Since the forces of gravity cause a loading of the rear bearing on the front of the bearing raceway only, the machine is doomed to catastrophic failure of the entire drum system--and they all do this. When the washer goes into spin mode, it sounds like a jet engine taking off and that is a symptom of the bearing design beginning to fail which begins on the first use of the machine. The cost of the drum assembly/bearing and the labor is far more expensive than buying a new machine and therefore, not worth it. Avoid Maytag products at all costs.

It just keeps going. Still looks great. We have had our Maytag Neptune analog dryer for over 20 years. It has dried a usual 3 loads a day, with very little maintenance. We have replaced the motor, blower, and support rollers, but these are parts that were just wear and tear items, after years of extraordinary use. It has outlasted 3 or 4 washing machines.

Maytag is the worst dryer ever purchased. We bought it in 2019 and the heating element broke. When I contacted Maytag directly, they said, nothing they could do. Really?? A major part was defected and there was nothing they could do! Its very sad when a major company that you purchased from shuts you down with a defected piece in their dryer and they chose not to help out the consumer. Shameful! I will NEVER purchase another product from them again...

We bought the Maytag Washer and Dryer set about two years ago from Home Depot. We have had to have the washer repaired several times in that two years, most recently for a cracked mother board controller unit. The same day we had to have the washer repaired, we also had to have the dryer repaired. Lint and dust is not properly filtered out by the filter and accumulates inside the dryer where it should not be, up against the gas heating unit. The repairman indicated that it was badly scorched and that we were lucky it had not caught on fire. Another customer of his had the same unit, which burst into flames one day when she had left the house with the dryer going, causing a house fire. The quality of these items is highly questionable. Having to spend nearly $600 to replace a cracked mother board only two years after purchase simply is unacceptable.

I bought a new washer and dryer from Clarks Appliance on North Monroe St.,Tallahassee, FL. I do not like the washer. It is a top loader and has a lock on the lid. The pause button is supposed to let you open and then is supposed to continue the wash. But it releases all the water and shuts down. I asked to return the washer because I have had it only three weeks. They wont take it back. So now I would like to trade or sell it.

Our Maytag lint trap started falling apart a few months after we received it. Call Customer Service to get a replacement due to the product being faulty. The answer that I got from Customer Service: We sell you a new one. Poor customer service, faulty product. Dont buy dryer from Maytag.

Purchased a supposedly top-of-the-line Maytag washer and dryer (9000 Series with Steam and MCT-Maytag Commercial Technology; Washer MHWE900VJ). Just under five years of use and the repairman quotes me just over $1000 parts and labor with the overwhelming majority of that quote being parts. No wonder the Maytag repairman is the loneliest guy in town - its not worth fixing your not-yet-5-year-old machine. It kills me that companies are allowed to advertise and promote the quality and reliability of their products and less than 5 years later, the machine is going to the dump, after having paid a premium for quality. This technology was supposedly comparable to what is used in a commercial setting - not very believable in my opinion. No more Maytag or Whirlpool for me.

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. I purchased a Maytag Bravo washing machine item # 26 23872 for $617.69 on 11-23-11 and it was delivered and set up on 12-02-11. My problem is if you have dirty sweaty clothes, you cannot get them clean with such little water. I used the HE detergent as directed. I talked to a woman at the local Sears Appliance store this morning, 7-11-12, about it. She said I need to use Affresh. So I did clean my washer but with a similar brand and my clothes are still stinky. I have even washed an empty load or two with bleach and hot water. I make sure I wash with hot water and completely dry my clothes.When you take a bath and dry yourself off with a towel, it smells like a musty basement. I am allergic to mold. I cant even take a wash cloth, get it wet and wash my face without wanting to throw up from the smell. I have had guest comment on the towels as well. Its embarrassing. The problem is you cannot clean something with an inch of water in the machine. I am 58 years old and now have to do the wash. I went to the store and asked if we could return it for an exchange or anything like a discount on a new one and she would not budge. She said it had to be within 90 days but 90 days was in the middle of winter and I was not having dirty sweaty clothes from doing outdoor yard work.Now that summer is here, 7 months later, my clothes have been smelly for a few months. I cant take it anymore. I showed the woman that I had been to Lowes and had an estimate of 10% off with free delivery, set up and haul away. She said she could do 15% but when you add on the delivery fee, it was higher than Lowes. I purchased my whole upgraded kitchen stainless steel appliances for about $7,000 and this set of washer/dryer but Sears could not help me out? What a disappointment that a loyal customer such as me could not at least get free delivery on a new washer. I went right back to Lowes and ordered the same machine I wanted Sears to sell me matching Lowes price.So now, I am stuck with a 7- to 8-month-old machine still in the one year warranty that is like new but is a worthless piece of junk as my clothes all stink. I purchased a washer & dryer from Lowes on December 3rd. On February 20th, my washer stopped filling up. I called customer service and had someone come out a few days later. The repairman said the sensor broke & it would take 10 days for part to come in. After 2 weeks, I tried calling repair company and they would not answer phone for Maytag, or me. Maytag called another service provider, and it will be another week before part comes in. Never could get in touch with anyone who was helpful! Now it’s been a month, and still not fixed!

I bought the dryer (Maytag Gas Bravo Dryer) from Home depot in December of 2010. The thermostat went out in July of 2011 and has replaced the same part 5 times up until August of 2011. Then they put a new burner with a thermostat and it lasted till June 1 of 2012. Now the warranty is out, they want me to repair this piece of **. I will never buy a Maytag product again.

Purchased the Bravos XL top load washer a month ago. We work outside daily and our clothes get very dirty. I havent really taxed the machine yet (Im doing what I consider a normal load of wash. I know the machine could handle twice as many clothes as its the 5.3 cubic feet washer, but I havent had that many clothes to put in at one time). The washer works great. Clothes are clean and smell fresh. For those that say this washer is extremely loud - you must not have something set up incorrectly. Either the wet pan you put under the machine is making contact with parts it shouldnt or someone didnt level it properly. Really, this is NOT a loud machine. We purchased from Lowes and they delivered, set up and leveled both the washer and dryer. (Yes, we also purchased the matching Bravos XL front load dryer and were impressed that it dries our clothes in half the time our old one did). We would definitely recommend the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer.

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

Well I have the washer and dryer. I love the dryer, it is excellent! Now on to the washer. It tries to save water so I guess people in California would love it. I have a laundry room in the basement and one up on the top floor with the Bravos in it. I only do the clothes that are not dirty but a little smelly in the Bravos. Any clothes that are dirty I do in my 20 year old machine in the basement. Do not purchase this machine if you are under 56 because you will need a step stool. Everything I wash I do on the longest cycle because the other cycles do not get all the clothes wet. Think about what I just said. The machine does not get all the clothes wet. Do not purchase this machine. I really cannot call it a washing machine, but they look real pretty in the laundry room.

I bought my Bravos XL 3 years ago after having older model Maytags since the 1980s. My mother also runs a laundromat and SWEARS by Maytag. To say Im disappointed in this purchase is an understatement!!! They have never washed the same as the older models. They twist the clothes horribly! Now Im having issues with all of my dark clothes getting grease spots on them with no apparent cause. I use HE detergent and softener (recommended amounts only) and clean the washer religiously, including the detergent, bleach and softener cups. I DETEST these machines. Also, the dryer never dries unless I run it for 2 cycles, regardless of what setting it is on. Waste of money and definitely not energy efficient when it comes to my water and electric bill, nor time efficient for me since clothes either come out still dirty or with new stains. After this purchase, I would NEVER buy Maytag again!!!!!!

I purchased this washer in January 2017 at our local Home Depot here in Mexico. It was a washer/dryer combo. Now, in July, a mere 6 months and only a few wash loads later, it has gone from the worst machine I have ever owned to what I consider to be garbage material. First of all, it boasts about not using much water. This is true... Only 1/4 of your load is in the 3 inches of water at the bottom of the machine and the top 3/4 never even gets wet. I couldnt believe it. Now, I put 2 sheets in this morning and it fills almost to the point of spilling out, though I have to give it credit for shutting off the water before it actually did so. This is a NEW washing machine!!! I, along with a lot of other folks from what I am now discovering, are all in the same boat. I remember Maytag being a mark of excellence way back in the day... This is no longer the case. Stay away from this company... I know I will.

I bought a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer two years ago. A week after the one year warranty was up, my dryer broke. That was in October. It took me until February to get it fixed, but within two months it broke again. It has taken me until now to get it fixed again and they found the same problem; the thermal fuse blew. Both times it has cost me over $100 to get fixed, but I still cant use every part of the top panel; I can only use timed dry cycle. I’m expecting the dryer to go again. The repair man had to re-glue the seal that went around the drum. The vents were all clean and were blowing fine, so we’re not sure why this keeps happening. Our family have always owned Maytags and they have always lasted for 20+ years. I am so disappointed with Maytag at this point and will never buy another again. Go back to the old days, Maytag! By the way, has anyone noticed they dont run the Maytag commercials anymore, because I have!

We bought the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer combo from box store. I wanted an extra large capacity washer to accommodate king sized bedding, and having fewer wash loads in general. Cons: 1 - This machine is not energy efficient when each wash load takes 1:30 to 1:50 each load. 2 - The detergent/fabric softener/oxi dispensers are a joke. Water dumps into every compartment at once. And if there’s still detergent left by the rinse cycle, well you get the picture.3 - The “Bedding” setting is the only one which will provide enough water in the tub to get anything wet. Since there isn’t any type of agitator the clothing/bedding just floats on the surface in dirty perfumed water. 4 - With any of the other settings the water level is so low it doesn’t always get everything wet so items are not being washed properly. At most maybe 2 pairs of jeans or just a few t-shirts can be washed on the “Normal” or “Power Wash” settings. 5 - Because there isn’t an agitator, clothing gets knotted up. Dress shirts, dress pants, jeans, towels, you name it, everything comes out of the washer in a knotted mess.The Bravos XL Dryer: My only complaint with the dryer is that it allows a good amount of lint to pass through into the machine. Then it’s difficult to get any type of lint brush into the vent area to remove the lint. Dampened lint in the machine can make clothing smell musty and nasty. I had to call a service to remove lint from the dryer & ducting because of the odor lingering from the inside the dryer.

I have used Maytag washer and dryer for over 20 yrs. I recently replaced the set we purchased in 1988 because the washer broke down but I have never had a great problem with it either. I do on a average of 3 loads of laundry a week. I measure my detergents, mostly wash on warm or cold and I keep the filters and machines clean. I would buy the same maker should I need to replace them.

We bought a Maytag washer and dryer in April 2012. A few weeks ago the washer while it was spinning out, it sounded like it was metal on metal. Sears came out and said the transmission and the tub had to be replaced and the tub was created to the transmission. My husband and the only ones living in home and I sort my clothes, so I dont have big loads. I contacted Maytag, their answer was its out of warranty so we are not going to do anything for you. Anyone who buys a Maytag Washer, watch out what youre getting.

I bought a new top loader Maytag washer and dryer on 1/1/16. My first experience with the washer was as many in has stated - It Doesnt Clean, the clothes, also I have trouble with the fact that is there is a string loose, it become worst. Why did they improve a product that did not need improving. They just made it worst. It is totally **. Im stuck with it as I cannot afford another washer. The dryer work fine.

I purchased a Maytag front loading Epic z washer and I paid a great deal of money for it and now I have a broken part on it. We contacted the Maytag manufacturer and they have informed me that the part would not be available for up to two months maybe 6 months. I cannot afford to buy another washer, so now I have a broken washer and need to purchase another washer until the parts come in. I would not recommend this washer or dryer to anyone ever.

We can do nothing at the control panel even though the drum light will come on when the door is opened, we cannot turn it from the control panel. After a varying length of time, a fault code of F70 is displayed (which is not covered in the owners manual), the dryer can then be started by depressing the power button and all functions seem to be restored.

My Maytag fridge was purchased on 2006 and since then have had multiple service repairs. Too much freezing, not cooling at all, fan replaced. Now freezer door not sealing.I tried a few days ago to get extension on warranty but was told it had expired so I could not renew. Why wasnt I told I needed to renew back in April before it expired? I believe they are not renewing because of the history of the appliance as it has too many repairs, it will not be cost effective for the company. We have also, in the last 10 years, purchased a washer and dryer and a large screen TV and all have the same problems. What are the chances of getting all lemon appliances? Obviously we are not shopping there any longer but many people are going to have to deal with same issues we did. All the while the company keeps making money!

We purchased a Maytag Bravos washer & dryer in September 2012 and 2 1/2 years later March 2015, no heat. We called a repairman and he said heat element went out. When researching this problem online I was shocked how many people had the same problem as we have. It cost over $300 to fix and I am concerned that it will just break again and again after reading these reviews. I think that a class action lawsuit may be needed so that this unfortunate situation does not continue to happen to other consumers.

Dryers been installed for 3 months, 3 service calls to date. Heat unit failure. 1st service call no show, no call. 2nd service call fixed the problem 50%, the dryer would heat on timed dry but no other modes. A week after that call heat unit failed again on all modes. Awaiting 3rd service call. Customer Service Department at Whirlpool Canada could care less. Avoid this product, Maytag 2000 series dryer - do not buy.

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer (Bravo series) in February 2011. The top edge of the drum in the washer is fraying. I contacted Maytag about the issue and never heard back. Now my dryer is not drying clothes. It feels like there is heat, but after 1 hour, the clothes are all hot and steamy, but still really wet. Our previous washer and dryer was over 10 years old and had no issues whatsoever, we just decided to upgrade to an HE W/D and now after just 14 months, the dryer doesnt work. They dont make them last anymore.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos washer/dryer in January of 2012. In October of 2013, I noticed that the lid would not close properly. In examining the lid, we discovered that the screws were in tact but the information panel on the inside of the lid had come unglued causing the lid to be obstructed from closing properly. After calling Maytag we were told that they make a quality product and, in what I consider to be a condescending reply, could not help us. Replacement of the lid with the service call would cost almost the cost of this expensive washer. So disappointed in what we thought was a wise purchase!

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased a Maytag brand washer and dryer set. So far, we are thrilled with our purchase. We got front load units that have an XL barrel so we can use it to wash comforters and larger loads. I have washed many loads and so far, havent noticed a longer time to wash or any issues. I love the fact that my clothes are all getting equally as clean and I can be sure that my items will not be torn or ripped in the process. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Bravo XL - I purchased this dryer in June 2012. In October, the first thermostat was replaced, again in February 2013 and two within a week from March 8th and March 12th. I was told it was my vent. However, the appliance continually showed venting good. I was told to have it cleaned. I did and it is documented that there was great air flow before and after and only a handful of lint collected. I have spoken with Whirlpool and no one will have the integrity or courage to say it may be a faulty unit. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. I had spent nearly $5,000.00 in Whirlpool appliances in June of 2012. I feel they will cover any issues until the warranty is completed, and then the problems are mine and at my expense.

Would give them 0 Stars if that was an option. Bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Aug 2021. Washer broke Jan 6 2022. Called Maytag/Whirlpool on Jan 6 as it was still under warranty. They only had one service company in our area to work on the washer. I called them and it took them 10 days to come see what is wrong. Ordered parts. Said it would be 2 weeks. We are now 6 weeks into this with no parts. Called customer service and they said they were notified that their service company needed a part and would take another 21 days to resolve. Talked to a supervisor (Demetrius) who sounded like he did NOT want to be in that position. Offered no solution other than we will just have to wait. Threw a 3 month extension for the warranty on which still does not fix the problem. Sad to see this company go down the tubes as it was once a pretty decent business with solid products. No longer.

MAYTAG HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY W&D MACHINES OF CHOICE! In my opinion they are the most reliable, dependable machines on the market - for years! I would NEVER by another brand of either washer and/or dryer.

I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer about 3 years ago, they were under warranty for two years. Two years and 10 later the dryer breaks down, repair 310.00, two months later the washer breaks down again, 331.00, while I’m waiting for repair appointment the dryer breaks down, 130.00. Then I’m finally able to do laundry, turn on the washer for the first time since paying 331.00 and IT DOESNT WORK AGAIN, another SEVICE CALL!!! $$$ IM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN MAYTAG, ESPECIALLY AFTER VIEWING YOUR COMMERCIALS!!!

I have been buying Maytag washer & dryers for 40 years. Have always been satisfied until now. The first 2 sets of washer & dryer were great. Very little ever went wrong. Now I have purchased another set approx. 3 years ago. As of today, I will be putting approx. $300.00 in repair to the washer. Repairman said it is a bad design. It is the second time for the same problem, which was repaired a year ago! I will not buy another Maytag product if they cannot be reliable. I should not have to pay $300.00 in repair for a 3 year old washing machine. I am very disappointed.

I am very happy with my washer. It is easy to use and does an outstanding cleaning job. I have had it for almost 7 years and have not had any problems with it. It has many different settings so it can handle virtually any cleaning job. I am particularly happy with the spin speed which is adjustable but the high speed spin really wrings the water out so the dryer which incidentally is also a Maytag drys in a fairly short time. The washer is a front loader and doesn’t use much water.

Bravos 4.3 High Efficiency Washer - The worst washer ever. I recently returned from burying my step-mother. She actually used the same washer and dryer, by Maytag, for over 50 years. Those days are gone forever. This is my second set of Maytags in ten years. The first literally stopped working just after the first year warranty ran out. I still have them inside my pantry, like a set of anchors. Notwithstanding that, I thought, Maytag was a good brand, it must have just been the style of machines, so I purchased these in January. After over six months of usage, I am amazed at how many times I have to wash a single load of clothing to get the items clean. Who cares if the machine saves water? What was wrong with having an agitator? I literally have to remove freshly laundered clothing, turn it over and run the wash again to get the top of the laundry clean. I have had a blanket finish for the fourth time to get it clean, only to have to hang it outside because it is so full of water, the weight keeps it from spinning properly. And why would you remove a timer feature which permits very busy, working people, to wash their items while they are on the way home or in the middle of the night so that there is no waiting to pop the clothes in the dryer? None of the cycles takes less than 80 minutes to complete. Who has 80 minutes to wait on the washer to do its job? I am so upset about the amount of money I spent on all of these machines. Just think, I could have brought the over 50 years old set home from my step-mothers and had a washer and dryer do what they were supposed to do -- clean the clothes.

I believe the Maytag Bravo washer and dryer was manufactured so the Maytag man would have something to do once again! Buyers Beware! My $800 washer broke down 1 week after warranty costing me $400 to repair!!! Half the cost of a new one... now the dryer is making horrible noises. I fear calling for repair... or should I just buy a new different one?? My last washer and dryer lasted 30 years!!! Bravo certainly did not have all the kinks out of them before marketing them! The cost is to the consumer who trusted the name! You cannot return a 2 year old appliance! The laundromat would have been less costly than this washer and dryer! Maytag should be made to recall these defective machines or at least repair for free. Do not buy!

Purchased a new set of Maytag Bravos appliances in 2010. Washer lasted 3 years -- had a failed bearing and repairman said not worth fixing as tub would most likely also need to be replaced. Replaced with a new Speed Queen which has been operating trouble-free. Today dryer quit heating -- repair person stated it needs a new board -- not worth it to me. I am off to now purchase a new Speed Queen dryer. What happened to Maytag quality???

Bought the matching washer dryer set thinking would be energy saving and reliable. Two months after warranty ended it quit, press pause/start button, no reaction. Started looking online and found out this is Maytags Frankenstein. Checked obvious stuff like power supply. Wont be buying another Maytag product EVER. Dryer still works but washer dead. Am retired, low income. Cant afford expensive repairs. Maytag ought to be eating this, not the consumer.

My husband and I purchased a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set back in early 2005. It was our very first major appliance purchase together as a young couple. We were talked into going with the Neptunes as it was considered one of the high end models at the time, and it came with a 10-year manufacturers warranty, which by itself was a major selling point for us. We have now had our Neptunes for a full decade and I am happy to report that we have not had one single problem with either the washer or dryer the entire time we have owned them. In fact, they are still going strong to this day. However, as it has been 10 years, it is now time for us to upgrade. We have purchased all new kitchen appliances within the past year and we decided that its now time to upgrade our washer and dryer as well and go with a steam set. We will most likely end up selling our Neptunes since we will have no use for them once we get our new set. They have served us extremely well over the last 10 years and we wouldnt hesitate to buy Maytag appliances in the future.

My mother always said Maytags were the best but I never bought a washer and dryer until about 5 years ago and both are the worst appliances I have ever owned. The washer has rust all over the bleach container and smells to high heaven and I clean it with Affresh all the time. The dryer doesnt dry well and the washer doesnt wash well. I am trashing both and buying some new ones.

We got our Maytag fridge approx.18 months ago. There was no trouble the first year and there has been nothing but trouble for the last five months. The freezer started frosting one day which causes temp to get in danger zone - we defrost it with a hair dryer about every week and it has continued to frost up ever since. We have a friend that works for a certified Maytag repair business. He came to our rescue five times and called Maytag hot line for help.Together, they could only suggest that the gasket be replaced. He could not see anything wrong with it but we changed it just in case. Still, the problem continues. When we called Maytag customer service (877-556-57420), we were told that no one has had the problem before us. We just looked online; there are 521 complaints about Maytag. My question now is, how do we get a class action lawsuit going?

I have a Maytag Centennial washer & dryer put into service in August 2011. The washer has recently gotten quite noisy, so I had a repairman out to look at it. He found that the bearings are going out & estimated repair costs at $360. He actually did not recommend repair, as the repair costs approach half the price of a new washer. I am very angry about this, as this is quite a new washer & was not a cheap model. There are only 2 of us in the house, so I only wash an average of half a dozen loads a week. I never jam the tub full, basically baby the washer so it will last. Much good that has done! Im old enough to remember when Maytag was the best in laundry appliances, expected to last for many years. I bought the Maytag because my last (top-of-the-line) Whirlpool set required a number of repairs, not realizing that Whirlpool had purchased Maytag. I will be using this washer until the bearing seize & then I will be buying a non-Whirlpool product Im afraid that will mean a foreign brand. I really prefer to buy American, but apparently, thanks to Whirlpool, that is no longer possible!

I purchased both a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 2007. This is without a doubt one of the biggest mistake I have made. I have had the dryer drum and rollers replaced and the washer will no longer run. It is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. To think I bought these units for 2 reasons: 1. that Maytag are the dependability people, but its not! and 2. Energy efficiency. It is not too efficient when they are broken more than they work. The worst was when the repairman told me that I had purchased the worst product on the market. These units are in short, garbage! I will never buy another Maytag Product!

We purchased a brand new Maytag washer dryer and had nothing but problems with both. After talking with corporate several times, trying to reach the CEO, the customer service person told us that the problems were buyers remorse. I purchased a Maytag gas dryer in November 2011. This is January 2012. I have got to use mine maybe 2 weeks altogether since I had it. It is to be repaired for the 4th time tomorrow. In the meantime, I have to go to the laundry mat to dry clothes, Maytag refuses to do anything about this. They say they are helping me by getting it repaired each time it breaks down. I want a new dryer. The retailer I bought it from will not stand behind this product either. You see these commercials on TV where the Maytag guy is sitting back and waiting on a call. Thats a bunch of ***! I have never purchased a product from anyone that they would not stand behind it especially for the 4th time in two months. I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell everyone that I know not to buy one either.

We bought our Maytag washer and dryer a bit over 5 years ago. Now the UL warning comes on. Found out it will be over $400 to fix it. It only cost $500 new. Repairman says it is very common and not to pay him to fix it. Our GE went 20 years. Lesson learned, wife is out looking at new GE.

What happened to the days of buying a washer/dryer and having them for years! To spend a thousand on each and have holes in the bellow causing dirty water to Empty on your floor. Not once replaced, not twice, 5 times!!! Now Im looking to buy another. Old school for me...

To anyone out there who is considering purchasing a Maytag washer. My husband & I purchased a Maytag Bravo top loader washer from Sears Hardware here in Columbus, OH. We had always received great review regarding Maytag products. This washer is expensive & does not work. We started having problems from the day we purchased & had Sears come out three times for repairs. This washer has a built in scale which is extremely sensitive. We are very disappointed in this washer. It takes an entire day to do 3 loads of laundry. The washer goes off balance on every load. It doesnt do a god job cleaning the laundry. I do not suggest the Bravos series to anyone consider purchasing this product. It is a piece of JUNK! We purchased in Aug 2010 and the washer will need to be replaced within the next several months. Keep in mind that more expensive & lots of fancy extras doesnt mean a better quality washer or dryer. Stay away from Maytag or you will have the Old Maytag repair guy @ your door frequently.

Our $1,000.00 Maytag Bravos is only 4 years old (also bought the matching dryer at the same time). We have had to purchase two new motherboards for the washer and now the uL, during the spin cycle, comes on and my clothes will not spin out. I have followed the manuals directions to unplug, wait, replug, redistribute, etc... all to NO avail. So very disappointed with this machine. Bought it because it was a Maytag, but will never buy another :( I had this machine repaired with major amount of parts and expense (due to the uL problem), BUT the uL code still keeps coming up. I am one really unhappy customer.

I am very satisfied with my Maytag washer and dryer. Had it for 10+ years. No complaints. It’s easy to set the machine according to my preference for each load of clothes. The dryer is great. Settings on the machines are very easy to use. This is important since I have a vision problem.

Maytag Bravos XL - This is the worst product I have ever owned! I purchased a Maytag because when my husband and I were married 29 years ago we bought a Maytag washer and dryer and still using the dryer. However we lost the washer and had to replace it. Worst mistake ever!!! Within a year a circuit board went out (they replaced but I was advised I needed an extended warranty which I do have) and was told by the technician that this model was junk! I called Maytag and expressed my great disappointment and all I was told is we document customers input. I then ask ok so what are you going to do about it? And I did not get a response. I asked for a different model but was declined. As you can see it is rusting at only a 1.5 years old and tearing up my clothes. It destroyed a doily that belonged to my late mother. Maytag used to have integrity in their product but not anymore. Not only all of these issues but I have to wash clothes twice and they still are not clean. Plus they have a dirt film on them and yes I used THE detergent!!

I have had my washer and dryer for more than 5 years. As normal, over time, stuff wears out and parts need to be replaced. The manual doesnt list part numbers that are needed. The website doesnt pull up part numbers when you type in the model number. After paying for overnight shipping that isnt guaranteed (and was more than the part itself), it didnt show up until a couple of days later and it was the wrong part. I would have to pay for shipping costs of the return, now tripling the cost of the actual part. Calls to customer service were not at all helpful as all they could say was that I would have to pay for the return shipping and they were sorry there was nothing they could do. I wont be purchasing anything from Maytag ever again.

Purchased a pair washer/dryer Maytag Bravo XL module from Home Depot, Brentwood, CA #1076 branch. The first day I received my machines, the dryer had a defect. I called them within 24 hours to report the issue and requesting a return. Home Depot wont take it back; they said I have to go though the factory warranty to fix any problems. Its like buying a car, once you drive it off the lot its yours they said. 3 weeks after the washer started making noise. Home Depot kept delaying my claim for more than six month so I couldnt dispute the charges with the credit card company and avoid the California lemon law. I consider this a loss of money and time. Worst appliance purchase experience ever.

Maytag Washer Model#MVWC465HW2, just purchased it 1/30/2019, leaves white stains on dark colored clothes. I use liquid soap. I don’t use softener nor bleach. I use OxiClean on my whites and sheet softener in the dryer. Someone please out there help, I can’t return it, it’s past 30 days. I have extended warranty but they can’t help. It’s not broken. I hear a lot of bad reviews/complaints, but no answer if it’s been solved or how to solve it. Please someone help???

We purchased a Maytag Neptune series washer/dryer set approximately 5 years ago. This is the 2nd time in 5 years that we were told by our local repair person that the drum of the dryer got bent out of shape. This is from normal use and due to a bad design on their end. Maytag refuses to foot the bill (about $350-$400) as it is out of warranty.

Maytag Bravos washer and dryer both need replaced in 3.5 years! Control board had to be replaced on washer in under 2 years and now the replacement went bad in about 15 months. Maytag can’t help! Hundreds of dollars wasted. Dryer is not much better as the control board is now malfunctioning! DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG!

We bought this Maytag Bravos top loading washer 2 years ago after having bad luck with a front loading Maytag. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I sometimes have to wet the clothes down to get them clean and I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washing machine set in July 2007. In May 2011, I had to have the shocks and another part relating to running a balanced load replaced. I spent about $500 on those repairs. The parts to replace the shocks took more than 6 weeks to arrive! Roughly one year later, the plastic water pump has broken and needs replacing - another $100 part plus labor. I always believed Maytag was a reputable company, but I am very sad at the quality of the product I purchased based on their reputation. They should be ashamed! To date, the dryer has been good - knock on wood!

In 2011 I bought a brand new Maytag (HA!) washer & dryer thinking it was going to be as good as my old Maytag - which is STILL working since 1980 in a 4 person household! Boy what a HUGE mistake that was! In 2 yrs the bearings went out and something else - big! and would have cost more to fix than the NEW Speedqueen I got (which does a HELLUVA better job and by far all around is better than Maytag CRAP!) AND has a 3 yr warranty and not just 1 like JUNK Maytag! Maytag name went down the drain with the dirty laundry water! FOREVER! Seems the more I look around the more complaints I see! Whoever owns this brand now should be crawling under a rock somewhere and be ASHAMED of the POOR quality products youre putting out there!

My daughter purchased this washer and matching dryer as a set from Lowes about 4 years ago. It was one of the few with an agitator and that is what she wanted. After using the washer for the first time she was very disappointed to find that the shortest cycle took over an hour and that the locking lid feature couldnt be bypassed. A few weeks ago the washer began gushing water onto the floor which flooded the basement below. She had purchased an extended warranty which was due to expire the following week.She called Lowes and scheduled a repairman. He finally came 2 weeks later and used the Internet to help him diagnose the problem!!! We could have done that. He decided that the control panel was only allowing the agitator to turn in one direction during the wash cycle. So essentially it was spinning a tub full of clothes and water causing lots of water to overflow the tub onto the floor. Needless-to-say he had to order a part and cant return for over 2 weeks to install it. IF this is even the problem! He also said he couldnt disable the locking lid feature! If my daughter had been able to open the lid when the problem started she would have known more about it.We are thankful her machine was under warranty but she will have been without a machine for almost 2 months when and if it is fixed. This is completely unsatisfactory for a gently used 4 year old washer. The dryer takes forever to dry also. If you are buying Maytag based on how long your grandmothers machine lasted, you will be disappointed! This washer caused so much damage we had to file a homeowners insurance claim!

This is undoubtedly the worst washer I have ever owned or used! I have never before felt compelled to write a review on a product, but I wanted to make other buyers aware. There is not enough water to clean the clothes - the water level doesnt even cover the top of the clothes, so the top of the clothes are dry as they are agitating! After drying (dryer doesnt dry either) the clothes do not smell fresh or clean. Ive put up with it for 3 years and am disgusted every time I use it. Im just about ready to buy another set.

I recently purchased a new Maytag Commercial top loading Bravos from Lowes. It looked like a sturdy model and has a 10-year parts warranty and to cover this washer even more... I purchased the additional warranty from the factory. The washer is delivered, set up... First batch of laundry the washer is making all kinds of noise, the clothes are wet..water didnt dissolve soap packet... Repairman comes out..washer out of balance, cold water not at full pressure... Computer failure noted. Now still making a lot of noise, my clothes are twisted and intertwined and still dirty. My dryer isnt even taking the wrinkles out and even after I iron on hi steam the clothes are still wrinkled beyond belief... Im so dissatisfied with the washer... I want to return it... I cant believe Maytag would manufacture a washer that is ruining my clothes...

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

Maytag Bravos electric steam dryer purchased 2009 - I have had to replace the door hinges within one year of usage at my expense. The blower belt and pulley had come off twice, the last time about a half hour after the repairman (again at my expense) left. I put it back on myself and if it comes off again, I will use Locktite to glue it on the blower shaft. I figure I will be lucky if this crap lasts a couple more years anyway. No more Maytag for us! What does it take for the consumer to get some representation with regard to lemon laws here? I will take my wrath out on Home Depot here since I have no recourse. If enough people complain, maybe they will stop selling that junk. I also will disregard Consumer Reports in the future.

Maytag Commercial # MVWB765FW0: My husband and I wanted to get rid of our GE front load. It was horrible. Even constant cleaning and leaving the door open all the time, our clothes still smelled like mildew and musty. My hubby wanted an LG and I said no way. As a little girl my mom had an old wringer washer and her first electric washer was a Maytag in the late 50s. She passed away in 2001 and in her lifetime she had 2 electric washing machines both were Maytags. They were so dependable and built to last so naturally I wanted a Maytag. Wrong! I am so disappointed. We purchased it in Sept of 2017 for $695. I was so excited the first time we used it. It was a little noisy, but living in the county and having a well we were glad it was an energy/water saver. The first couple of months it was so refreshing to have clothes that did not smell musty and mildewy. I noticed they were really wrinkled but I still iron anyway so it was not a big deal. However ironing over and over again on some items did not get rid of the wrinkles and the past 2 months I have been going thru lint rollers like crazy and it still does not come off. I have to use a slightly damp lint brush or go over the clothing with packing tape to get the lint off. It is horrible! I dont want my GE back but I dont want this one either! I wish I would have read reviews first and listened to my hubby. I wont ever have another Maytag and when this one goes I will certainly read reviews and go with something more dependable. Unfortunately for now we have wasted the money and it is ruining our clothes! I agree that we should all do the class action. There are just too many of us experiencing the same issues. Maytag should do right by the consumer! We have learned our lesson, review before you buy!

I purchase the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer set 3 1/2 years ago brand new. I figured being a Maytag it would last for a long time but nope I was wrong??? I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase a Maytag product also!

I bought a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set in 2001. I had horrible mold issues with the washer not long after, and the colors washing setting cant be used without the clothes coming out with a smell that implies they were not cleaned. The dryer lasted about a year longer, before it stopped heating the air and also would not stop running. I will never buy from Maytag again! Much the same as many other consumers have commented, I would give it less than one star if that is an option!

We purchased our Maytag 4000 series electric dryer in October 2011 from Best Buy. We did get a very good deal and have had little problems until this am. I moved laundry into the dryer and started it. While I was loading the washer, suddenly I heard a popping sound from the dryer and smelled smoke. Scared me looking into it. Sounds like either our electrical cord or our heating element blew. Coming from an era (born in the 1970s) where appliances should last at least 20 years, I am disappointed with Maytag. I shouldnt have problems at least until this thing is 10 years old. And even then I have higher expectations. So when I replace this, it will be with a better product.

I purchased an emerald green washing and dryer (MHW4200BW) by Maytag. Unfortunately, my washing machine broke and I bought the extended warranty. After many visits from the repair company, it was determined that one of the parts needed was on back order indefinitely. Maytag decided that they would replace the washing machine. Sounds like a fair and good deal, however, the washing machine that they are going to replace my unit with is of a different color. Apparently someone in upper management at Maytag made a business decision to stop selling this particular color unit with little to no regards to the customers that had already purchase their product in that color. Had I known that they were going to discontinue the color, then I would have stuck with a standard color like white. At least I would not be faced with having a mismatch unit now because Maytag will not replace both units. To make matters worse, my washing machine and dryer is on the first floor right off my kitchen. It is not stuck in the basement way from company, etc. I am so disappointed in Maytag and their lack of consideration for their customers.

I have the Maytag Direct Drive Motor washing & dryer set the is supposed to be “commercial technology.” The washer is supposed to keep wet clothes fresh if they don’t make it to the dryer right away. After 2 years, I disagree in that it offers no better outcome than the much older machine I replaced. Furthermore the dryer cuts off leaving my clothes damp every single time, which I cannot stand. It leaves my clothes to wrinkle terribly and damp to stink if I do not collect them fast. I honestly wish I still had my old set. All the new features simply fail to measure up not to mention over complicate and add expense to repairs.

Bravos gas dryer - three issues in three years. Same issue twice, clothes are not drying. Now I have company coming and have to deal with his issue. The blower motor went. So, I have paid for a new dryer in repairs already. The washer is making such a loud noise when it goes into spin cycle that you have to turn the volume up to the highest level on the TV and it is still tough to hear. It’s unbelievably in the horrible quality. Make the product and parts in the USA and stop buying junk from China and Mexico. This is good American money that is flushed down the toilet with Maytag as well as your reputation. Fix your quality control and do the right thing!

We had 10 year old Kenmore units in the past that were much better and worked faster at both cleaning and drying. We prefer a washer with a agitator and top load. The dryer is preferred to be gas. Both the Maytag washer and dryer we have need constant repairs. Washer for control panel repairs, and dryer for false heat sensing problems. Now they say not to use dryer anti-wrinkle sheets. The washer needs less sheets put in at a time to rinse better. It is a agitator less model.

I purchased a washer/dryer, Maytag from Home Depot Nashville. It was delivered and set up. 02/24/17 the date of purchase, delivered 03/07/17. I have tried in every way to get the washer to wash properly, but to no avail. The water level doesnt cover the clothes, it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the wash to begin its cycle. It doesnt spin the clothes dry enough to put into the dryer. The washer makes all kinds of sounds thats drives you nuts while setting up to not wash your clothes clean. I have contacted Maytag on several occasion about this problem, they sent out someone to service the washer. Now, why would a brand new washer need servicing. Somethings wrong. It isnt functioning up to standards and they should give me another washer.Now on 05/18/17 the washer was serviced, I have called them again to do something about this piece of **. I was told that the only thing they could do is come service it again. Why, must this brand new washer be serviced every week. It doesnt make sense... I dont want this machine, I want my money back so I can purchase a machine that will wash my clothes properly. I purchased a secondhand washer and dryer from a used appliance store, it lasted my family 10 complete year. The only reason I dont have it now is because I wanted to upgrade, since I have never had a brand new set. What a disappointment. Everything that looks good from Maytag isnt good. I dont understand why they wont stand behind their product.Somethings got to be done about this. Maytag will not take my money 1,200 and force me to keep this malfunctioning piece of nothing. Im going to Youtube this product so the consumer can see how this product doesnt work properly, therefore they wont waste their hard earned money. I will be contacting the BBB Nashville, and wherever I need to. I will let the consumer know the make and model of this product and where it was purchased from. Maytag I want every penny back. And, should hold you responsible for ever time I have had to go to the wash house because my brand new set wont work, and your company wants to service it every time I try to wash. I purchased this appliance on the strength of the well known name, that was the wrong thing to do.

We purchased both a new Maytag washer & dryer in 2011. Our dryer, Model #7000XG1 all of the sudden started thumping when we were drying our laundry. After we called a technician to come out, he stated we had a crack in our drum. How in the heck does that happen in 4 years time and only laundering for 2 people? Of course this steel drum should not wear out before the other parts, but it did. Since there is a backorder on the replacement drum, it makes you wonder if this problem is wider than it seems. Also, Maytag would do nothing for us other than offer us the purchase of a new dryer at a discounted rate good for only 7 days of their offer. Seriously, how about standing behind your product? And, then again, why would we be enticed to spend that kind of money on the same type of product that has flaws? Uh, duh Maytag or Whirlpool. Silly fools you are.

Bought brand new coin op washer and dryer. Washer had problem from day one. Took in for repair. Maytag warranty covered parts, no labor. Cost me $100.00 on brand new $900.00 washer. Last money they will ever see from me.

Maytag model mfd2561hes French door stainless steel purchased in June 2005 has been the worst appliance purchase ever. After 1 year warranty expired, icemaker and water dispenser stopped working. Was told by repairman to thaw the tube for water dispensing with a hair dryer. Are you kidding me? Why should I have to pull a huge refrigerator out from wall and put the hair dryer to it to thaw out the water line when I need water? What is the convenience to that? Cant buy fresh vegetables as it will freeze before I can use it. This is the worst appliance ever. Dont buy Maytag products. Maytag doesnt back products like the old days when they would last 20 + years. Cant last even a year anymore. Sad!

Purchased Bravos 300 quiet series wash and dryer 3 1/2 yrs ago new. 18 months ago the washer gives me f51 and ul codes. To repair this USA made washer will cost over 250 dollars. I see why the Maytag repairman is not busy. Cause after 2 years you gotta buy a new one. All these digital controls are made in China - junk. Ill buy LG or Samsung next.

I purchased this set 2/15/2014 and have never been more disappointed with a product! The washer is top loading high efficiency and there is NO water level for different sizes of loads. If I add two small items or a load of towels the water level is the same and the larger loads do not get clean, I can only run very small loads of clothes and sometimes even those do not get cleaned. I have seen soap on some items because there was not enough water to rinse it all out - and I measure the soap very carefully. Additionally, when using bleach for whites it stays in the washer even after running a second rinse with the tub empty to clean it out. I have ruined a lot of items due to bleach stains. And shortly after getting the washer something came loose and it rattles every time it spins making it very noisy. I am seriously considering selling this set with a huge loss and purchasing another washer so that I will not ruin anymore clothes and to be sure my clothes get cleaned. I have had the set for 8 months and will never recommend this product to anyone.The dryer has its issue as well. It shuts off before the clothes are dry every time I try to dry a load and sometimes 5 minutes or less after I start it. I have to use the timer all the time because the auto settings shut off while the clothes are wet. Additionally, I have to run most loads for 2-3 cycles to get the clothes dry. My reliable old dryer of almost 20 years dried my clothes perfectly with the auto time settings and was a far superior dryer than this one.

After having had Maytag Highlander washer and dryer for 28 years in our early married life, and continuing to think that Maytag was a quality product, we purchased the Neptune front load washer MAH6700AWW. Let me tell you this IS NOT your mothers washer, nor is this Maytag a quality product. First it was necessary to install water pipe shock arrestors because of the water valve on washer causing shock in the waterline when it closed. The automatic Softener/detergent dispenser didnt work from day one.Coins and etc. constantly kept getting under flippers and couldnt be easily removed. I found that it was impossible to remove the plastic flipper without breaking a plastic mounting tab. On my first call to customer the Maytag Customer Loyalty Team, aka Customer Service (CS), I was told that the plastic flippers were not available as a separate part, and that the entire tub assembly with plastic flippers would need to be replaced. WHAT???????? THATS LUDICROUS. After temporarily securing the broken flipper to the tub, I thought Id call again about a week later to see if the previous answer was correct. On this call, the customer service lady (whose name I have), said the flippers are available and that she would send two at no charge. A few days later two flippers arrived, but were not the correct ones. I then decided to drill two holes in the tub and remounted the broken flipper with two stainless screws as a permanent solution.Two pumps needed to be replaced. One was replaced under warranty and one by myself. The one replaced by me was damaged by a coin that made its way from the tub to the pump. Other washer manufacturers provide a means of trapping such objects before they get to the pump. The wash cycle stopped unexpectedly numerous times without reason, after which the code 5d was displayed. I called Maytag Customer service. The representative didnt know what 5d code meant. Her suggestion was to call a service man. Again, I called later to ask and was told 5d meant excessive suds which wasnt the cause. Might this have been a control problem?There were three incidents of water discharging onto the floor from under the washer over the last two months, which caused water to cover an area of approximately 5 by 12 resulting in extensive cleanup in addition to damage to stored items. Since these occurrences were weeks apart and unpredictable, I knew the problem would be difficult, if not impossible, to diagnose, even by a serviceman. I concluded that it was probably a problem with the control; either filling too long or not emptying the tub before refilling for the next cycle. Thats when I decided to send this troublesome Maytag piece of junk to the landfill.

Just so everyone knows, Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana washers are all made by the same company and almost all of the internal parts are the same. The differences are mostly cosmetic, its just a way to sell more of the same thing to different classes of people. Just like Chrysler sells Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge, they all had the same engines, transmissions and electrical systems, just different looks to appeal to different people. I found this out the hard way after purchasing an Amana front loader washer and dryer that broke down on me every other week for a year. I got tired of it and purchased the Maytag 2000 series. This set also breaks down on a regular basis! This is when I found out from the repair company that services these machines that all I did by getting rid of the Amana set and buying the Maytag set was buy a different looking set. Now I am really pissed. This company works for Whirlpool warranty servicing Whirlpool, Amana and Maytag as well as other major brands. All same machines inside the repair man said! Look into it, research it online and call whirlpool for yourselves as I did. You will find it to be true. So if you hate your Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana front loader washer or dryer, research and buy from a different company or you will buy the same old problems again and again.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer at Lowe's when I bought my home-the price was great and I have not been disappointed in them-have had them over 3 years now. My washer has a stainless steel tup and is a top loader. The combo of the two was less than $1,000. The washing machine has deep clean, heavy load or light load, hot, warm or cool water settings, a hand wash setting and many other features that I think most consumers can appreciate.

Maytag and Home Depot do not back their products or assist customers. While repair my fathers home in Grand Junction Colorado, Home Depot workman grabbed the 30 year old washer and dryer by the controls and promptly destroyed the machines. No - Home Depot didnt do anything despite complaints. I bought a brand new Maytag Washer and Dryer for the Grand Junction, Colorado home. The famous Maytags that are called dependable only lasted 3 months. When I went to complain at the Grand Junction Home Depot - the manager - Cheryl - called me a lair when I said I left phone messages for her. Cheryl seems to represent the best of Home Depot when she doesnt assist customers - is nasty and calls them liars when they say they left phone messages for her. No - Home Depot would not back their selling Maytag, and worse, they wont assist you in finding how to contact Maytag. Cheryls response was - Contact Maytag. Good bye. I was not given a contact or phone number - nothing. I spent over $32,000 at Home Depot fixing up my fathers home and rentals and this is how Home Depot treats customers. Worse I have a worthless Maytag that ceased working after just 3 months. Yes - you may contact me, yes - you may use my name and yes - I will blog on the internet the nastiness of Home Depot in Grand Junction, and the poor quality and poor customer service with Maytag.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer 3 months ago. The Bravo XL is simply a piece of crap. No agitation and clothes come out as dirty as they went in. It also leaves soap stains on all the clothes by since it doesnt agitate enough. Nothing is wrong with the unit, just a horrible engineering piece of crap. Ive been in manufacturing for 30 years and cant even imagine how a company like this can design, test and still sell such a piece of crap. You put a shirt on the top of the load when starting and its still there at the end of all the cycles. Just absolutely horrible. Do NOT purchase any washer without the old time center agitator post. Horrible....

I purchased a matching set of Maytag Neptune washer and dryer about 6 years ago and the washer is junk! It sounds like a jet is landing in the laundry room. The repair man said it is not worth fixing - bad bearing. I am not happy!

Have not had either inspected, but last night the dryer started to rumble and then caught on fire... Fireman suspected bearing bad and caused a spark igniting dryer; washer has started making a shrill loud noise on the spin cycle.

Lets be real and say that people with good experiences dont often end up on websites writing reviews because they are busy enjoying their product! I purchased my set in early 2012 and will admit that initially there was a learning curve with using a washer with no agitator. I enjoy doing laundry and Im really good at it but with this washer I had to change my routine. Always pretreat stains. Deposit clothes loosely around the drum and shake clothes loose before putting them in the dryer. My clothes come out great! I have a child, two dogs and a greasy truck driver man and everyones clothes smell great. I can wash my king bedspread and anything else in my house with no issues. And my washer has never torn any of my clothing, however fragile. I dont iron often and I hand wash nothing.I give 4 stars instead of five for the extra steps to ensure my clothes are clean and wrinkle free. No they dont make things like they used to but thats with all the new stuff. My moms 3000 dollar Samsung set (her washer) isnt working as I write this. Too bad more people with good experiences dont get online and share. Hope this has been helpful.
