Maytag Secadora Garantia
Maytag home products include a range of powerful kitchen and laundry appliances and HVAC systems that are built to last. On the rare occasion that a broken machine derails your daily routine, you need a warranty to cover your Maytag product.
Manufacturer€s warranty € This warranty only covers appliances and electronics manufactured under a specific brand. For example, Maytag appliances or parts may be covered for several years under a Maytag manufacturer€s warranty.
Extended warranty € Manufacturers and third-party providers often offer extended warranties, which are extended service contracts that protect you after the Maytag appliance warranty expires.
Home warranty € This is a service contract that covers regular wear and tear of major home appliances regardless of brand name or age. It€s different than home insurance, as it doesn€t cover events that may damage an appliance. Instead, it€s meant to help pay for repairs that are anticipated in the long term.
Homeowners insurance € Homeowners insurance is a required form of insurance coverage that is specific to structural damage or property loss caused by theft, natural disasters, and specific occurrences.
LIMITED WARRANTY
For one year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, the Maytag brand of Whirlpool Corporation or Whirlpool Canada LP (hereafter €Maytag€) will pay for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship. Service must be provided by a Maytag designated service company. This limited warranty is valid only in the United States or Canada and applies only when the major appliance is used in the country in which it was purchased. Outside the 50 United States and Canada, this limited warranty does not apply. Proof of original purchase date is required to obtain service under this limited warranty.
ITEMS EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY
This limited warranty does not cover:
1. Service calls to correct the installation of your major appliance, to instruct you on how to use your major appliance, to replace or repair house fuses, or to correct house wiring or plumbing.
2. Service calls to repair or replace appliance light bulbs, air filters, or water filters. Consumable parts are excluded from warranty coverage.
3. Repairs when your major appliance is used for other than normal, single-family household use or when it is used in a manner that is contrary to published user or operator instructions and/or installation instructions.
4. Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, abuse, fire, flood, acts of God, improper installation, installation not in accordance with electrical or plumbing codes, or use of consumables or cleaning products not approved by Maytag.
5. Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, chips, or other damage to the finish of your major appliance, unless such damage results from defects in materials or workmanship and is reported to Maytag within 30 days from the date of purchase.
6. Any food loss due to refrigerator or freezer product failures.
7. Costs associated with the removal from the home of your major appliance for repairs. This major appliance is designed to be repaired in the home and only in-home service is covered by this warranty.
8. Repairs to parts or systems resulting from unauthorized modifications made to the appliance.
9. Expenses for travel and transportation for product service if your major appliance is located in a remote area where service by an authorized Maytag servicer is not available.
10. The removal and reinstallation of your major appliance if it is installed in an inaccessible location or is not installed in accordance with published installation instructions.
11. Major appliances with original model/serial numbers that have been removed, altered, or cannot be easily determined. This warranty is void if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from your major appliance. The cost of repair or replacement under these excluded circumstances shall be borne by the customer

I bought a brand-new dryer Maytag Bravos. It broke after 3 weeks. They came to fix. A few months later, same thing happened, but I have 6 people in my house. They told me someone would be here the next day, and then that person canceled. They called someone else. He came and said I have to wait 3 days for parts. I called at least 6x and waited 30 minutes each time. They kept telling me theyd call back, and theres absolutely no call back. Then I called corporate Yvette, who was totally cocky and rude (866 817 5404). She said she would try to get back to me another day because she had meetings! Then, I was irate. I mean how rude. So she called me back and said, I ordered you the parts. Now you call Dan Marc, the service company, and make the appointment. Is this woman kidding? Then she went on about how Maytag has a 13% rating (They are Maytag.) and how their product is so wonderful. Now this woman is competent cocky and rude, and shes the presidents secretary! So whatever I call Dan Marc, they have no appointments Tom and wont make me an appointment. This is how a new product should work? I asked her what I do when it breaks again and again and the warranty is up. She told me they dont work on what ifs and if that time comes, it will be her decision. I am disgusted and have a house full of kids with no dryer? And I have given them another chance after that Neptune disaster. Im appalled and dont even know what to do.

In 2003, I purchased a brand new Maytag washer and dryer set, I chose Maytag because of their reputation. Within the first 6 months, I had a bearing go bad on it and that had to be fixed. It has become noisier and noisier throughout the years and now it is leaking all over the floor when I do a load. I am single, I live alone, I do laundry very seldom and do not do large loads. I am so disappointed with Maytag. When the repairman came out initially to fix it, he said that the brand he fixes most often is Maytag. Expensive lesson learned, Ill never buy any type of Maytag product again.

I use the same amount of detergent and fabric softener as I did for my 15-year old Maytag washer, but the wash is not as soft as with the old machine. Im currently standing in front of my washing machine waiting for the 13-minute drain and spin cycle to finish because once again my load didnt drain and finish right. Except it has already been 40 minutes and it claims there is still 9 more left as it continues to sit there doing nothing while it hasnt even started spinning yet. It Sat on 13 minutes while sensing for over 5 minutes, then 12 for 10 minutes while doing nothing, then it changed to 11 minutes and made some weird noises but didnt actually do anything for 15 minutes, and now the timer randomly changed from 11 to 9 without any noises or movement happening and now continues to sit here.I stupidly thought I could spin my clothes real quick to throw them in the dryer before bed and now I stand here extremely tired and very irritated. I also have no doubt some of the clothes will have holes in them when theyre done because they always do, my family looks like were homeless and ratty half the time we get dressed now. Also it never deep cleans thoroughly even on the toughest settings, I swear our socks can be washed 3 times in a row after being soaked all day and still come out crusty or a lot of times the armpits of shirts will still smell or be ultra stained with deodorant marks still.This technology is almost too advanced and everything is decided by sensor, regardless of the registered functions on the buttons it will still do what it wants as the sensors see fit and run when they decide everything is perfect and ready, including taking 10 minutes just to unlock the lid when you pause a load cuase a small child may drown in the foot of water or a person may have their life completely altered by getting a little bit wet if the machine isnt completely drained and in pristine condition before you open the door. This machine is terrible. This company is terrible. And worst of all they drain your wallet for these horrible contraptions. I wish I could rate this 0 stars.

Maytag Bravos XL does not use enough water to wash a load, also does not rinse all the detergent out. I have tried smaller loads, less detergent, nothing helps. The loads have been so small that I have to wait for two or three loads wash before I can dry the clothes. Too small a load in dryer and the sensor will kick off that the load is dry.

Any water savings way offset by ridiculous length of washing time. I can wash and dry a load of clothes in an old stacking washer/dryer before one finishes washing in this thing. I called Home Depot, you should never buy any appliances from them, they wash their hands of all responsibility once you sign for it. Called Maytag. On hold for almost 10 minutes, they only have 2 certified repairmen in the area 0f 600,000 people. Will be 5 days until they come to look at it. I told them I wanted to return it for a GE or something else. They said I had to contact Home Depot yet Home Depot told me it was Maytags problem. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! My old machine washed a lot better than this new one. I have mold in where you dispense the cleaning product and the way it is made I cannot clean it. I am so disappointed with this product.

Now I have to unplug it to get it to start and then again to get it to spin. It hasnt spun on its own since 2015. It just recently wont start on its own. I have appliance repair people out and they cant fix it. They say everyone has problems with them. My mother swore by Maytags and had a set for twenty years or so, but now they are garbage.

Small loads just flop from top to the bottom of the dryer, falling in clumps. I have gone back to having to ironing. Very disturbing!!! I would not recommend this dryer to anyone.

I purchased an emerald green washing and dryer (MHW4200BW) by Maytag. Unfortunately, my washing machine broke and I bought the extended warranty. After many visits from the repair company, it was determined that one of the parts needed was on back order indefinitely. Maytag decided that they would replace the washing machine. Sounds like a fair and good deal, however, the washing machine that they are going to replace my unit with is of a different color. Apparently someone in upper management at Maytag made a business decision to stop selling this particular color unit with little to no regards to the customers that had already purchase their product in that color. Had I known that they were going to discontinue the color, then I would have stuck with a standard color like white. At least I would not be faced with having a mismatch unit now because Maytag will not replace both units. To make matters worse, my washing machine and dryer is on the first floor right off my kitchen. It is not stuck in the basement way from company, etc. I am so disappointed in Maytag and their lack of consideration for their customers.

My Maytag fridge was purchased on 2006 and since then have had multiple service repairs. Too much freezing, not cooling at all, fan replaced. Now freezer door not sealing.I tried a few days ago to get extension on warranty but was told it had expired so I could not renew. Why wasnt I told I needed to renew back in April before it expired? I believe they are not renewing because of the history of the appliance as it has too many repairs, it will not be cost effective for the company. We have also, in the last 10 years, purchased a washer and dryer and a large screen TV and all have the same problems. What are the chances of getting all lemon appliances? Obviously we are not shopping there any longer but many people are going to have to deal with same issues we did. All the while the company keeps making money!

I am on the third stainless steel drum, this one has a hole in it, need 4 wheels and pulleys, with service $542.61!!! On the average, I am having a service call every 6 months - last year we were gone for 6 months so no laundry was done, one drum was delivered and was egg-shaped. Maytag has been NO HELP! I am very disappointed with Maytag, their service and product. They HAD an excellent reputation, to me that is everything. Quality, customer service, and their word means nothing to me anymore.

Bought our washer dryer set from Sears in the fall of 2010. I had reservations from the start as the machines were new and the salesman was really pushing this set (on sale), with all the customers, even offering extra discounts on these models only, if customers bought that day. Apparently, they had overstock and were trying to sell them all ASAP. That was a warning to me but my husband convinced me that I was being overly suspicious. We had previously owned Maytag machines for 20 years and loved them. So I agreed. Well, I have been cursing that decision ever since. You have to hand wash/prescrub any stain on clothing, even a little make-up like blush or a little mud. Then you have to put up with an inflexible system that wont allow you manual options regarding spins and temperature or times, etc. Its all programmed. Then you put up with clanging spin cycle as it bangs against the wall. Then you pull out very wrinkled and not always cleaned clothes only to begin the most frustrating dryer experience ever. It has a mind of its own. It can actually keep spinning as it keeps adding dry time and the clothes never dry! God help you if you have a regular load. All your clothes will get stuck on the little ledge. They stay there in a heap as the machine spins and spins.The solution? You have to add a bunch of dry towels to create a lot of mass so that it keeps your laundry from getting stuck on the side. Then you have to repeat this several times cause it doesnt dry well. I will never ever shop at Sears and I will never buy Whirlpool or Maytag again. I am now saving to buy another set.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in September 2010, before moving to Washington. After a few months, the washer broke and had to have a repairman out twice to fix. It never would wash a blanket without stopping with error messages. He told these were notorious for problems. Now our dryer is leaking and not drying. I checked the vent hose and water and some wet lent are inside. In moving the dryer, I can hear a piece rattling around inside. From research and other posts, it sounds like its a broken pulley system inside. Maytag is junk. Customer service is terrible! I bought this unit during a veterans day sale at Lowes, using my veteran discount. Obviously, Maytag has no problem ripping off veterans or anyone else based on their horrible customer service. I will be actively posting as many negative online posts and videos about my experience on every forum and veteran site I can. They are horrible! Stay away from Maytag!

We had 10 year old Kenmore units in the past that were much better and worked faster at both cleaning and drying. We prefer a washer with a agitator and top load. The dryer is preferred to be gas. Both the Maytag washer and dryer we have need constant repairs. Washer for control panel repairs, and dryer for false heat sensing problems. Now they say not to use dryer anti-wrinkle sheets. The washer needs less sheets put in at a time to rinse better. It is a agitator less model.

I purchased this washer in January 2017 at our local Home Depot here in Mexico. It was a washer/dryer combo. Now, in July, a mere 6 months and only a few wash loads later, it has gone from the worst machine I have ever owned to what I consider to be garbage material. First of all, it boasts about not using much water. This is true... Only 1/4 of your load is in the 3 inches of water at the bottom of the machine and the top 3/4 never even gets wet. I couldnt believe it. Now, I put 2 sheets in this morning and it fills almost to the point of spilling out, though I have to give it credit for shutting off the water before it actually did so. This is a NEW washing machine!!! I, along with a lot of other folks from what I am now discovering, are all in the same boat. I remember Maytag being a mark of excellence way back in the day... This is no longer the case. Stay away from this company... I know I will.

We purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot; a couple months later the dryer started to rattle so we contacted Maytag and they sent a service tech out who stated this was normal as the dryer was settling and parts are not as tight as they are when new. This was a garbage response and he was asked to leave. I contact Maytag again, told them of the problem and the tech response and they offered to send another tech out except I would have to pay for the service call since they already sent someone out. I sent them an audio file of the rattle, no reply. Eventually Home Depot ended up replacing the dryer as Maytag refused to help me despite it being in the warranty period.

My $800 washer broke down 1 week after warranty costing me $400 to repair!!! Half the cost of a new one... now the dryer is making horrible noises. I fear calling for repair... or should I just buy a new different one?? My last washer and dryer lasted 30 years!!! Bravo certainly did not have all the kinks out of them before marketing them! Last week I noticed that my freezer motor had a build up of frost. I melted it with a hair dryer. 2 days later there was a layer of frozen water on the bottom of my freezer as well as a layer of water on the first shelf in the fridge area. There is no way to access the drainage tube. I thought that the coils needed to be cleaned. That was not successful either since the coils run horizontal and only the front section can be vacuumed. In January 2006, we bought a Neptune washer and dryer, model# MAH5500BWW, because we thought they were superior to any other at the time. In January 2012, the washer started making a very loud noise in the spin cycle. It just kept getting louder and a technician was called in check out the problem. We were told that the bearing was going out and he found a hole in the back of the tub. He said it was not cost effective to replace the bearing and the tub and suggested that we continue to use it until we could no longer tolerate the noise. We are very unhappy with the durability of this washer, with the amount of money we paid to be going out only after 6 years of service. We have been a Maytag customer for 15 years and will never buy another Maytag appliance. We are going to replace the washer and dryer to keep a matching set and it certainly will not be a Maytag.

I have done absolutely nothing to this dryer except keep the lint screen clean. Have had it for 15 years. Keeps on tickin. It is used daily. Sometimes 3-4 times a day. The outside looks rough. But who cares. I bought a new lg washer with great looks and had it just a year and 2 weeks. Had to spend another $200 on it. Still doesnt work right. Im Maytag all the way!!! It is a simple dryer. But it is a workhorse. It was a gift from my mother and have so much appreciated it. It has been an amazing piece of equipment. From now on I will only look for the maytag brand for whatever appliance I purchase.

The dryer lasted about a year longer, before it stopped heating the air and also would not stop running. I will never buy from Maytag again! The bearings go out. Be aware do not purchase them and they also do not wash your clothes good, clothes just stay in same position and you have to wash 2-3 extra washes. It was going to cost 350.00 plus to repair so I purchased Speed Queen that has good reviews. Tech said that top load open barrel washers have been a nightmare.

Maytag is sending a service man, of course I have to wait until Monday, I am now inconvenienced 2 times in a year.Theres also what appears to be a burn mark on the back of the drum. Two years ago, I paid more than $400.00 for this thing and when it does work, you have to run it over and over again to dry your clothes. Wow! really energy efficient. What a piece of junk! I had my old dryer 10 years before an element went out. I did buy the Lowes protection plan that was sold with a No Lemon Policy. If the product requires more than 3 repairs for the same failure, theyll replace it, it says in the front of the brochure.In the small print on the back, it states 3 repairs for the same failure in one year. These companies are making money off us consumers who buy Maytag because of the name and what is supposed to be quality, and are ripped off by these insurance programs that say one thing but another in the small print. Big business is nothing more than robbers who get away with robbing the hardworking American people. When is it going to stop?

To fix dryer will cost approximately 30% of the purchase price of the machine. And all the while I am tainted by the 10 Year Warranty sticker that I never removed from the machines. The washer failed after 14 months, and since it was more expensive to repair it, we replaced it. I needed to do a simple repair to the dryer today, and I had to take the front of the machine off. I found the inside too so full of lint. I believe it was only days away from catching fire. The blanket of lint I removed from the top of the heating element appeared to be charred and black, a fire ready to start in my opinion. I will not have this machine repaired. I want this fire trap out of my house. Before you ask, I must add, my wife cleaned the lint trap often. The Maytag Company has not been helpful. I will add that our first set of Maytags gave us many years of good dependable service. What happened to this company?

My husband and I purchased a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set back in early 2005. It was our very first major appliance purchase together as a young couple. We were talked into going with the Neptunes as it was considered one of the high end models at the time, and it came with a 10-year manufacturers warranty, which by itself was a major selling point for us. We have now had our Neptunes for a full decade and I am happy to report that we have not had one single problem with either the washer or dryer the entire time we have owned them. In fact, they are still going strong to this day. However, as it has been 10 years, it is now time for us to upgrade. We have purchased all new kitchen appliances within the past year and we decided that its now time to upgrade our washer and dryer as well and go with a steam set. We will most likely end up selling our Neptunes since we will have no use for them once we get our new set. They have served us extremely well over the last 10 years and we wouldnt hesitate to buy Maytag appliances in the future.

Just check out the lint filter and see the gray and dirty lint after a load and you will see it doesnt clean the clothes. Now, the motherboard is kaput! Cycles are all screwed up. Cost is $386 for motherboard plus labor and I will not put one more cent in this piece of crap.Listening to the salesman and consumer reports on the best washer to buy. All they are concerned with is energy savings and believe me when I say that all energy savings products are a joke because you give up operating ability for the sake of energy savings-- true of refrigerators and washers, dryers, furnaces and the like. I will be buying an agitator washing machine. The saving on water are not enough to give up clean clothes.

In examining the lid, we discovered that the screws were in tact but the information panel on the inside of the lid had come unglued causing the lid to be obstructed from closing properly. After calling Maytag we were told that they make a quality product and, in what I consider to be a condescending reply, could not help us. Replacement of the lid with the service call would cost almost the cost of this expensive washer. So disappointed in what we thought was a wise purchase!

Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I sometimes have to wet the clothes down to get them clean and I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer.

They built a machine, and they do not stand behind it. And I cannot get a local machinist to work on it. I have asked Maytag to replace it from the start, and they refused, telling me its out of warranty. The only thing out of warranty is the frame--all parts are new. Here is the history:On 1/04/2008, I purchased it from Home Depot, and it cost $815. Then in 4/2009, there was an F51 code, and Maytag replaced the mother board after long hold times and much pleading to help me. They said they could do nothing, because it was out of warranty. It took manager to manager to manager to get the agreement to extend the warranty. (I then found that this was a regular Maytag issue.)From 9/2010 to 10/2010, an ld code occurred. The approved Maytag scheduled service had to come out 4 different times to attempt to fix the issue. One time, they said it was broken wires for the drain pump. The next, it was off balance; and the next, it was a sensor. Then the next time, they replaced the mother board again, and again after much argument that the part was less than a year old. Each time, they get more and more difficult to deal with and made me feel more and more like I am asking them for something unreasonable. The service guys said the washer was like new.... All new parts and I would never have a problem again. It cost $80 after argument, and Maytag covered the parts.Last 2/2011, problems include a fast spin, ld code, and off balance; and it stopped working. It needed new suspension rods which cost $250. Maytag paid nothing. Then in 8/2011, ld code started again, and I would have to turn off to drain and then restart to spin. Maytag called in a service call, and they never showed up. Every time, they said they read over my file and that theres nothing they can do to help me. And no one else for me to speak to.In 10/2011, the ld code came on permanently. The washer was a third full of clothes and only the bottom layer was wet when it went into rinse! After pulling a calf I really wanted the top pants washed. Nope. Went in dirty and dry to the rinse cycle to spread the bacteria throughout the load. The soap was still laying on the dry clothes on top. Repair guy spent two hours and couldnt get enough water to at least dampen all the clothes in the wash cycle. I would like to see how much cow afterbirth bacteria was still in clothes. I called Brothers Main, they sent a service person who identified right away that it was a known problem and he had over 6 repairs already, but be prepared to wait up to 3 months for the replacement parts. This is ridiculous. The service center, you can never get through to them and when you do, they dont seem to care. Maytag Bravos Washer 300 Quiet Series Model MVWB700VQ0 - Nothing about it is quiet. Worked pretty well the first year. Spin cycle works too well. It twists and rips. The second year it needed a new pump because a dime got into it and cracked the pump. When you wash anything bulky you better sit and watch it because it will almost certainly go off balance. Year three Sd (suds or slow) code started flashing and washer stopped half way through. Not sure why suds because I only use HE Tide, no perfumes or dyes due to my daughters sensitivity. I use Affresh as directed and on schedule. Was told it was a slow drain, found two dimes in the filter and a lot of lint. Still not working and flashing Sd... stops half way, agitator moves left to right doesnt spin. When the diagnostic was performed, the basket spun but when it stopped it made a grinding noise. Now it might be that it needs new bearings! So much for the Maytag reputation. Its junk and I will not be buying another Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore or any other product from their affiliates. Not purchasing anything from Sears again either. Also I will be canceling my subscription to Consumer Reports because they highly recommended this product. Shame on Maytag. No parts are available to make the repair so a follow-up appt would be futile. . The only communications other than No Parts is that they want me to purchased an extended warranty. I will never purchase another Maytag product or recommend them to anyone. Meanwhile my warranty continues to time-out and they dont have any parts or idea when they will be available. Well Maytag, shame on you! I just called customer service about the third repair made on my Maytag 4000 Series Washing Machine; its only two years old. The rep side stepped the limited warranty that is good for five years on the motor and tried to sell me another warranty for $329.00. I have $460.00 (parts only) in repairs. Purchasing a warranty will have me spending more money than I actually paid for it. The excuse that I was given was (per quote) our machines are made by people and we have no way of determining the outcome of our products past the given warranty. Maybe you should have considered buying the extended warranty that was offered at the time of purchase. Yeah, maybe I should have, but Maytag should build a product that consumers are happy with, and extended warranty sales past a longer period of time might make more sense. If you are thinking about purchasing any Maytag appliance, I would think twice or you just might get some person on the other end of the line that just doesnt care, representing the name of Maytag! I visit the Big Box Stores daily and you can bet your tail that I will make a special visit to the appliance section just to discourage any one from making the same mistake I did! Just think, the last washing machine that I purchased lasted for 9 years (not one issue) and it was still working when I gave it to someone in need! I purchased a new washer and dryer from Lowes a few months ago. I had my former washer and dryer for nearly 20 years and although the dryer started to have some issues, the washer worked wonderfully. To have a matching set, I decided to purchase both a new washer and dryer. I was told the Maytag Bravos XL model was the top of the line and could handle large loads. After just a few washes I realized this machine does not add enough water to get the top clothes wet and there is no agitator to pull the clothes into the water. I returned to Lowes and was told to use the deep water wash. I tried that and still had clothes coming out from the wash still dry and dirty. Unfortunately Lowes would not take the machines back and I was told to call Maytag. Maytag said there was nothing they could do except send out a technician for a service fee of $98 to help me determine if the machine is functioning correctly. I could not dislike a washer and dryer more! The dryer catches clothes on one of the screws inside and pulls fabric pieces out. This is in my opinion the worst washer dryer set I could imagine having. I will share my experience with as many people as I can to help others avoid making the costly mistake of purchasing a Maytag product. Maytag does not seem to care they have designed and sold a dysfunctional product!

After watching it work and seeing that the airflow in the tube was not flowing well, I noticed the lint trap was not functioning well enough and over 50% of the lint was escaping the lint trap and plugging up the exhaust vent. I asked Maytag for a service to repair my dryer and explained my findings. The service person on the phone wanted to send me a lint brush. I told her to send a repairman. The repairman said that all lint traps let lint by and said it was my problem. Well today theyre closed and I cant even leave a message. The washer takes over an hour to complete the wash cycle, has to be set on Bulk in order to get enough water for a decent wash, and is extremely rough on clothing. Its made holes in some of my shirts and everything comes out twisted without enough rinsing. Sleeves are always turned inside out. Thats how rough it is. It costs me more in water and electricity. Neither Home Depot nor Maytag would replace the pair for me.

It seems to me Sears jacks the price up on its parts and labor in order to push the customer to buy new. So far its worked for them and Im sure everyone else as well. Now coming upon three years old, I am having similar issues with the machine so I called out a repair service out to see what my options are. Come to find out this time that the shocks that support the tub are bad. All three of them need to be replaced at a price of $455.00. At this point, it is not worth putting the money into it. Expense for an appliance above what most run ~ 1500 for both units. Plus if it doesnt have or offer a 5-year warranty then something is wrong with the quality! Maytag Neptune Series MLE2000AYW 27 Inch Electric Laundry Center with 3.34 Cu. Ft. Washer Capacity, 4 Wash Cycles and 6.0 Cu. Ft. Dryer Capacity, 3 Dry Cycles: White. Worst part on this model was a WAX MOTOR that they used for the Washer to control the door being closed or open. Next worst DESIGN error was they didnt put a drain hole in the plastic rim seal for the Washer door, that area would build up mold & mildew if you didnt learn to keep Washer door open at all times AFTER a wash. We learned by removing the light bulb! Therefore it was easy for my crew to learn to leave the door open after washing. This model was Energy star certified and had a long life here 12 years. Unfortunately I think they build these things to only last 10 years; then you have to replace them. In years gone by... the 1970s Washing machines and dryers would last 20 years!!

We purchased the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer based on the good reviews. This has been the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. The washer had to be replaced on the 3rd day after it was installed due to a motherboard issue. The washer constantly has the UL error code so I cannot leave the house if I am going to wash any clothes - I readjust all the clothing in the washer; however, there is no rhyme or reason to the UL code - just made workmanship.We also have had many issues with the dryer as well. Our clothes stopped drying, the clothes had a mildew smell and the lint was wet even though we religiously clean out the lint element. We researched and found this was a common issue. The belt comes off on these dryers; apparently it happens quite often. We fixed it ourselves - twice- by watching a YouTube video. Now our dryer catch (latch) doesnt work and we have to repair that as well.It is obvious from all the complaints that both of these Maytag machines that there should be a class action lawsuit at this point in time. I will NEVER purchase a Maytag or Whirlpool product - EVER. Whenever anyone asks me for a recommendation I tell them to stay FAR FAR away from both Maytag and Whirlpool products since they are unreliable, have terrible workmanship and the company will not do the right thing and fix the issue and provide refunds to those that have purchased these terrible machines. A washer and dryer is a big investment and should last more than a couple of years. I never had issues with my Kenmore or GE products and wish I still had them. There is not enough water to clean the clothes - the water level doesnt even cover the top of the clothes, so the top of the clothes are dry as they are agitating! After drying (dryer doesnt dry either) the clothes do not smell fresh or clean. Ive put up with it for 3 years and am disgusted every time I use it. Im just about ready to buy another set.

This was a large purchase, so I feel locked into a terrible choice. I wish I had never bought these two items and will never use Maytag again. I will also never recommend these products to anyone. I do not like the new technology.

To get the residue off, I must wash the clothing again or sometimes it will come off in the dryer. The water level is too low to efficiently clean. I thought I would save water getting this but not at the price of multiple washes... What good is that? Since there is no agitator the clothes just sit at the bottom and move back and forth as one big clump, with just a few inches of water. I am sorry Ive waited so long since I am now past the point of returning this piece of junk.

Maytag 2000 series front load washer - f you are looking for a front load washer DO NOT buy a Maytag! I purchased a new front load washer dryer set late 2013 and have regretted to washer ever since. Continual electrical problems, door gasket needed replaced almost immediately AND the worst part is that it has ruined over $1000 worth of clothing due to it trapping cloth between the drum and door and wearing holes in them. No matter how I load the clothes or sort them it continues. I have contacted Maytag and was told I have no recourse as the warranty is over. I was very disappointed because I have had Maytag products in the past and had no problems. Please, think twice before buying this washer! It will cost much more than just the ticket price!!!

Forward to January 2021 and were not able to schedule service through their website. Not able to get anyone to answer their phones. Called what used to be our local Maytag service and they told me Whirlpool took over Maytag warranty service and cancelled all the contracts for local repair shops. So, not only do we have a 4 month old washer I wish we had never bought, we cant even the Maytag to service it under their warranty! Never again...

The Maytag Bravos XL washing machine has a difficult time getting clothes clean. The glass top allows a person to watch the clothing being washed. After one watches this for 5 minutes, it is quite clear that the clothes are not being washed properly. Clothes frequently end up dirty at the end of the wash cycles. I personally believe the design of the agitator is so poor that it is not capable of moving the clothing around to come clean. The tub is a large 4.5 cubic foot capacity, but because it uses so little water it simply doesnt function as advertised. Often there is residue on clothing, simple stains like dirt marks dont get removed. In addition to poor cleaning, the spin cycle is simply bizarre; clothes are twisted to the point that the wrinkles created during this cycle will not come out during the dryer phase of laundry work. I am completely unsatisfied with my purchase and regret not researching this more prior to purchase. I am baffled that this product could actually make it through quality control at Maytag. I have had one service call under warranty to fix the lid not locking. This repair was completed with satisfaction.

We spent $1,700.00 for them both. We assumed they would last as long as our old ones. Been buying Maytag our whole lives. Besides the clothes not getting cleaned. Besides the washer smelling, even after we clean it regularly with the product proposed. Besides it not working on the normal function. Besides it shredding our clothes if you put it on the highest spin speed. It started to make a very loud noise. Like an airplane taking off. Called a friend of ours that use to have an appliance store in Fenton, Michigan for decades. He said it was the bearings and that You have to replace the whole tub. A $300-$400 fix. And that it would do the same thing again in a short period of time. He said that they are junk.We would be better off buying a new one. He said, The ONLY one you can buy now that will last like they use to is Speed Queen. I had never heard of them. They start at about $750. But they are worth it. He said that they dont make any washers to last more than 3-4 years anymore. We will NEVER buy Maytag again. And Sears wouldnt give us the time of day. Each time we called and asked to be switched over to the recall department, we just got a busy signal, then a fax machine noise. We have shopped at Sears for years. Boy, loyalty doesnt mean anything in this day and age. Im sure Speed Queen will be happy to help us out. DO NOT buy any Maytag products. There should be a class action suit against them for this. There are thousands of us that got ripped off. I cant tell you how upset my husband and I are about this. We are retired, and on a fixed income, and I am disabled. After three failed service repair visits the technician recommended we call Maytag directly. We did. Another service appointment was set up. The repair guy determined there was nothing wrong with our dryer (?? It wasnt drying on one of the heat settings!!) but said he would come back and replace the front sensors anyway. After he left I called Maytag again. Explained why I was frustrated. I was told that since the repair guy said nothing was wrong with the dryer there was nothing further they could do for me. Further attempts at repair had to be at my expense. I was incredulous to say the least. The dryer doesnt function properly on the normal heat setting, but because the repair guy cant find the cause I am therefore just out of luck?I will never, ever purchase another Maytag product. I am shocked that they will not stand behind a product that is still under warranty. After only 11 months of use I am stuck with a dryer that will only dry on high heat?! How can a single service visit by their repair guy (whom is on their payroll) be the final say? No second opinion? Is he infallible? Simply unbelievable.

Washer never fills to a water level that covers all the clothing. Some clothing never gets submerged, thus simple stains never get water contact throughout the cycle. I now spend more money purchasing spray stain removers and using the heavy duty cycles and extra rinses, would have been better off getting a Kenmore with an agitator. The concept does not work.

Im unhappy with mine. Would not purchase one again. I find my clothes arent clean and my kitchen clothes and towels always have a residue on them. I now wash everything on warm, use the proper amount of soap and have to do heavy load cycle. Im still not happy, but it beats buying a new one.

I purchased this set 2/15/2014 and have never been more disappointed with a product! The washer is top loading high efficiency and there is NO water level for different sizes of loads. If I add two small items or a load of towels the water level is the same and the larger loads do not get clean, I can only run very small loads of clothes and sometimes even those do not get cleaned. I have seen soap on some items because there was not enough water to rinse it all out - and I measure the soap very carefully. Additionally, when using bleach for whites it stays in the washer even after running a second rinse with the tub empty to clean it out. I have ruined a lot of items due to bleach stains. And shortly after getting the washer something came loose and it rattles every time it spins making it very noisy. I am seriously considering selling this set with a huge loss and purchasing another washer so that I will not ruin anymore clothes and to be sure my clothes get cleaned. I have had the set for 8 months and will never recommend this product to anyone.The dryer has its issue as well. It shuts off before the clothes are dry every time I try to dry a load and sometimes 5 minutes or less after I start it. I have to use the timer all the time because the auto settings shut off while the clothes are wet. Additionally, I have to run most loads for 2-3 cycles to get the clothes dry. My reliable old dryer of almost 20 years dried my clothes perfectly with the auto time settings and was a far superior dryer than this one.

We bought a Maytag Bravos XL assuming that because of the brand name it would be a great machine. WRONG. This washer is truly awful. Every single load of darks comes out covered in soap scum. I always have to rewash every dark load with no soap for a full normal cycle in order to get the scum off. My whites are probably also scummy but often I just throw them in the dryer as I cant see the scum. Its just a very, very poorly designed machine that obviously wasnt tested before they started manufacturing and selling it. The differences are mostly cosmetic, its just a way to sell more of the same thing to different classes of people. Just like Chrysler sells Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge, they all had the same engines, transmissions and electrical systems, just different looks to appeal to different people. I found this out the hard way after purchasing an Amana front loader washer and dryer that broke down on me every other week for a year. I got tired of it and purchased the Maytag 2000 series. This set also breaks down on a regular basis! This is when I found out from the repair company that services these machines that all I did by getting rid of the Amana set and buying the Maytag set was buy a different looking set. Now I am really pissed. This company works for Whirlpool warranty servicing Whirlpool, Amana and Maytag as well as other major brands. All same machines inside the repair man said! Look into it, research it online and call whirlpool for yourselves as I did. You will find it to be true. So if you hate your Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana front loader washer or dryer, research and buy from a different company or you will buy the same old problems again and again.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos top load washer and the matching dryer at Home Depot back in 2009 after giving my son my very old Maytag washer and dryer that was running just fine. I liked the top load energy efficiency idea of the new Bravos and the large capacity of both the washer and dryer. Also, the Maytag name sold me, gave me confidence I was purchasing a quality product... WRONG. When it was delivered, there was damage to the dryer door, so a new one was ordered and mailed directly to me. Once it came in, I called to have someone come put it on. First issue, not a really big deal but disappointing.About one month into using the dryer, the top of it became so hot it could literally burn your hand. There was also an error message. I had purchased a one-year warranty, even though technically there is a manufacturers warranty on the product. A part had to be replaced in the panel. This happened twice. We then moved out of state for one year and the washer and dryer stayed in storage unused during that time.Fast forward to 2014 and the washer will not complete any cycle except the spin cycle. I keep getting an error message of OL which means overload. The machine is NOT overloaded. It literally takes me hours to get through one cycle of washing clothes. And they dont even come out clean. I called Maytag repair and they offered me a one-year warranty for $363.75 since the washer is having issues. They explained to me if its the control panel the cost alone for that is $383.00 not including labor. Also, the dryer take forever to dry. I have to run each load through a cycle twice to dry everything. So much for the energy efficiency of these machines. At this point, I am considering just buying another washer, something cheaper without all the fancy bells and whistles. I am terribly disappointed in Maytag.

Parts of them feel dry. My dryer seems to be ok. Comforters are a pain as the load always gets unbalanced. Lately it wont finish a load. I get LD all the time. Have to unplug the washer and wait for it to cut off before cutting it back on. Then I cannot just rinse or spin. It fills back up with water and I get the same LD again. If I had seen all these reviews before I bought this set I WOULD NOT have bought them in the first place.

I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I have read and re-read the manual especially the troubleshooting guide and still have the same thing happen. Its very frustrating. I constantly have to re-rinse clothes because of soap, lint, dirt, etc left on clothes. I wouldnt give away this washer to anyone, I would rather burn it. I am currently looking for a new washer, the last one I had for 11 years was a front loading Whirlpool. I should have stuck with a Whirlpool, I still have the matching dryer no problems at all.

To say Im disappointed in this purchase is an understatement!!! They have never washed the same as the older models. They twist the clothes horribly! Now Im having issues with all of my dark clothes getting grease spots on them with no apparent cause. I use HE detergent and softener (recommended amounts only) and clean the washer religiously, including the detergent, bleach and softener cups. I DETEST these machines. Also, the dryer never dries unless I run it for 2 cycles, regardless of what setting it is on. Waste of money and definitely not energy efficient when it comes to my water and electric bill, nor time efficient for me since clothes either come out still dirty or with new stains. After this purchase, I would NEVER buy Maytag again!!!!!!

So sad, purchased brand new Maytag washer and dryer, Commercial technology (MVWB766FW) labels. Looked and appeared impressive. Machines cost almost $1,000 each. Had twenty year old machines that still worked, I didn’t want to face a unexpected breakdown and decided to replace. What a mistake. I’m 67 and all my life from grandma through my mother Maytag was the best, not anymore. Once my equipment was installed I washed a load checking frequently, noticed almost no water in the huge tub and my clothes being beat by the agitator but not enough water to move the clothes. I tried to change to high water setting but had to cancel this load to do so. Once on high water setting I started the load again, water still very low and agitator just rubbing the clothes directly next to it, no movement of the clothes at all. Ran completely through the wash cycle but when moving to the dryer noticed some light blue shorts had dry spots, many, which had never been wet even through the wash, rinse, and spin cycles. Had a warranty service call and was told this is how the machines work. I told the serviceman had I known that I would have never bought the machines. He told me the salesman should have explained this to me which he did not. The only way I can wash my clothes in the new, expensive machine is on bedding cycle with high water setting on. Sad day when American companies can legally sell such crap. Also, called the company where I purchased and ask about return. To that I was told once I made the purchase they were mine and Reid’s Appliance in Santa Barbara didn’t take returns. Reid’s Appliance can’t be trusted. Buyer Beware, this stuff is junk. I will be throwing these machines out soon as they aren’t even sale-able on the used market. MAYTAG RIPPED ME OFF.

Within a year of purchasing this washing machine, I needed to schedule a repair service because the washer started making an unfamiliar noise. Repair Service shows up and refuses to touch my washer. The ink on the Serial and Model number (stick on label) inside the washing machine door has washed off. Sticker label in excellent shape, except all the ink has come off. If the Repair Serviceman cannot read the label, NO SERVICE FOR YOU. MY SAGA... Did you know that if your washer or dryer does not have a readable serial number on the machine, NO repair service will work on it. It does not matter if you have all the paperwork showing this information. If the original label is unreadable, no repair service will touch it because they will be fired. Maytag changes parts on a model all the time. The serial number is the ONLY way a serviceman can tell exactly what parts your washer was made with. Apparently the serial and model number label sticker was not printed with permanent ink. The Repair Service said the Serial and Model number ink washed off the label because the sticker was incorrectly put on the inside of the washer door at the bottom. But they were WRONG! Maytag shows online that is exactly where the serial and model number sticker is supposed to be located. So, I called Maytag to order a new serial number (stick on) label for our washer. I gave Maytag the information and I was told I would have the label in two weeks. Then I called back a week or so later to make sure the serial number was ordered and on the way. Maytag said there was a misunderstanding, and that they received my request on 6/17/15 and it was sent to the ONE AND ONLY GUY that makes replacement serial number tags and he was sent my request on 6/22/15. Maytag said it would take the one and only man quite some time to make the label (SINCE THERE IS ONLY ONE!!!) and I could expect to receive the replacement label in 4 to 6 weeks and they were sorry, but there was absolutely NOTHING they could do about it. So as my year old washer sits for over a month, Im going to the Laundromat each week. We should have received the new serial number on August 6, 2015. So it’s taken almost 2 months and my label is close to two weeks late. To date I have not received my serial number. I tried to use MAYTAG chat, dont bother, they said they couldnt help me. I needed to call in. So I emailed Maytag today for their support services to tell me WHEN I can expect to receive my new serial number label. I bought this through hhGregg. Check your Maytag washer. IF THE SERIAL NUMBER AND MODEL NUMBER LABEL ARE INSIDE THE DOOR, CHECK TO SEE IF THE INK IS COMING OFF THE MACHINE LABEL, and order a new one NOW if it is, or you will not be able to get your washer serviced. Do not put new label back on the inside of the washer door. This is just unbelievable.

Maytag Bravos XL - I have always loved Maytag and never had any problems. In Feb we did some major remodeling with new flooring in our laundry room. Decided to buy a brand new washer and dryer even though our 10-year old Maytag washer and dryer worked perfectly fine. After looking at Home Depot and Lowes we first settled for a Samsung W & D but before it was delivered we shopped some more. After doing some inquiring we decided that we wanted to stick to a long trusted W & D line so we chose this washing mashing and matching dryer. From day one I decided I did not care for it. I found if I put too many clothes in that they did not come out clean. Any dark pants would come out with what looked to be soap or softener stains and would have to rewash 1 or 2 times. Now I can only put in about 4 pairs of pants to wash. I have been cleaning it once a month as the manual says to do but yesterday I noticed a terrible odor coming for the washer. I could smell it out in the hall. I did the cleaning again but still smell it. Now after searching the internet I find a video that shows the problem is mold under the drum. No amount of Affresh or bleach is going to clean something UNDER the drum. It is not my job to have to take this apart every few months and clean out mold and moldy water. Sounds like this problem has been going on for a few years and this should have been fixed long before this. I wish I had my old faithful washer and dryer back. Maybe I should have stuck to the Samsung washer and dryer.

Our new Maytag Bravos XL machine quit just 43 days after being purchased. Purchased from Lowes, but since it was past 30 days since purchase date, Lowes could not do anything to help. Lowes directed us to an appliance repair service that they use. We had to wait another 3 days for repairman to come out to look at the machine... only to find out that a drain pump would need to be replaced, along w/ the diagnostics board since it was not working either. Parts would be ordered & were expected to arrive 3-4 days later. It has been a week later & the parts still have not been shipped out by Whirlpool. We are now on almost 2.5 weeks w/o a washing machine. I usually research & read customer reviews before making a major purchase. However, we had to quickly get another washing machine & dryer, so felt like Maytag was a SAFE choice since I had Maytag several years back. (That Maytag was your basic washing machine w/o the bells & whistles before machines had bells & whistles.) Will I purchase another Maytag again after this occurrence? Probably not. In fact, I am so aggravated & frustrated at this point, that I would love to just throw the machine out in the middle of the street!

In addition to the constant soap residue left on the dark clothes (my guess is its on the light clothes too, but you just cant see it) the washer goes out of balance frequently (they are replacing the suspension, after they said its all working great). The repair man said Im not loading the clothes properly, I need to roll each item of clothing into a ball and then place it in the washer. Are you kidding me, my new machine has special needs? And dont put in too large of loads. What!!! Its an XL capacity but I cant do an extra large load, because half the clothes wont get wet or clean. Maytag blew it big time with these models, I could talk about the dryer too. Maybe next time.

This has continued with multiple service calls and electronics replaced. Still continuing but they will not act lemon law. I have extended warranties but get runaround everyone including Sears where I bought it pointing to each other. Tech came out today and said problem was the way the dryer is. No way to change it. I guess that is nature of the beast. I will never buy Maytag or from Sears again.

It would leak during spin cycle and frequently stop due to unbalanced load, refill and stop again. Now it wont spin at all! We have checked to make sure it is level, it is. I live in a very rural area and its very difficult to get repairmen to come out. This is my first and last Maytag for me.

I have had this washer for a few years now and it is the WORST washing machine ever. I cant even wash a lightweight cotton blanket. It continually unlevels even with me rearranging the blanket over and over. Ill add some, take some out, whatever. It still wont work. The blanket fully wet is also HEAVY and with my arthritis, is very hard to pick up. I dont think enough water goes into the drum to actually clean the clothes either. The clothes at the end of the cycle come out in a weird mushroom form. And when the clothes do get through a complete cycle, they are twisted so tightly it is hard to get the wrinkles out in the dryer. Why would they sell a machine like this without having testing it more first? Dont get suckered into the Maytag name. Terrible washer!

Two years ago I bought a matched set of Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. Although I bought really liked the front loading and large capacity, I bought them because they were Maytags. I remember my parents grumbling that they couldnt afford a decent washer or dryer like Maytag and had to settle for Kenmore or some other brand that they figured was inferior. I noticed that they struggled through 20-25 years of maintenance free use of their inferior appliances. So when I found a pair of Maytag, I thought I had finally arrived. I was 60 years old and I knew this would be the last washer and dryer I would ever have to buy.It is now 2 years later and we developed dryer problems. The repairman found the computer malfunctioning and suggested it would be cheaper to replace than to repair. We asked him to check the washer while he was here and his diagnosis was similar. The drum bearings were gone and probably too expensive to repair. The Maytags are now in some scrap yard and I now have an inferior washer and dryer and I am looking forward to many years of maintenance free struggles. I used to think that Maytag repairmen are the loneliest people because their machines were reliable. I now know that they are lonely because all of the Maytags are garbage and not worth fixing.

I purchased the Maytag Washer & Dryer $1891.14 with Extended Warranties Model numbers: MHW5100DW0 & MED5100DWo. In September 2014 from salesman ** at ABC Warehouse for my Wife as a Wedding Gift. The dryer started malfunctioning toward the end of October, it was randomly flashing a red light indicating Check Lint Screen and when this happens the dryer will lock up not allowing you the OPERATOR to dry your clothing. We ALWAYS check our screen before use and clean after each use, so we found that light to be odd. But anyhow we checked the lint screen and nothing was on it nor was it bent out of shape, everything seemed normal to me & my wife besides the fact we spent $1891.14 on BRAND NEW washer & dryer set thats acting weird. I called ABC Warehouse spoke to **. He said Yeah they do that sometimes, you just gotta MAKE SURE YOU BLOW THOSE THINGS OUT MAN cause they dont like it dirty. I explained to him we keep it clean then he said the screen might be slightly bent. He went on to explain how he seen that happen a lot, I just said uh huh uh huh yeah yeah. So now its like the middle of November and the DRYER Check Lint Screen Light is coming on before every load now and staying on for long periods of time not allowing us to dry our clothing. So I called ** again 2nd week of December this time asking for a new unit. He told me to call the ABC Warehouse Store Warranty Department at 1-800-722-3333. I called and they gave me a number to Master Tech Appliance 1919 Federal Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 (734) 662-0641. I immediately asked why am I calling technicians instead of new unit when my unit is still under the 1yr factory warranty and in addition too, I have purchased an 5yr extended warranty? They wasnt trying to hear that. So I called Whirlpool 1-800-253-1301 told them the situation and asked for a new unit they said NO and then added by telling me their policies and how many times they can come and attempt to fix my unit before replacing it. I screamed and shouted at them explaining to them that I have spent $1891.14 on a non-working unit for my wife as a wedding gift and I am currently drying my clothes at the local Laundry Mat, they said NO still.So I called Master Tech, they couldnt come out until Feb 3, 2015. My wife took off from work. In the mean time it completely stopped working the first week of January, we had to go to the Laundry Mat every couple days cause we got 4 kids. SMH WOW my wife is pissed, I mean furious. When ** from Master Tech showed up he looked at our unit and said its also not getting hot so he called in to his job they told him to come back and order my parts and to schedule another day to come back. 2 weeks later Master Tech called with the appt. My wife took off from work again but this time they called the day of hours into the day to tell us the parts are on back order and they need to reschedule. My wife was VERY UPSET but we did it anyways. Now remind you are dryer is still out of commission. Were going to the LAUNDRY MAT. Master Tech came 3 days later (my wife took off from work) they literally took our dryer apart (Pics Below) for it to still not work, Master Tech called Whirlpool, Whirlpool told them to order us a NEW SWITCH BOARD. Wow what the hell are you serious? So Master Tech leaves again and orders the SWITCH BOARD. They came 5 days later (My wife took off from work) new switchboard and dryer still not working. Now throughout this whole ordeal Ive been in contact with all 3 companies begging for a new unit and nobody wanted to hear that especially WHIRLPOOL & ABC WAREHOUSE. With Whirlpool knowingly the switchboard didnt fix the issue the first time, they instructed Master Tech back to my home with the same but NEW SWITCHBOARD. LOL WOW I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING TO US. Master Tech schedules yet another day to come by 3-13-2015 & yes my wife took off from work AGAIN just to hear ** say sorry they keep sending me back with the same part and they know its not gonna work but anyhow Im here. He switched out the Switch Board again and still nothing. I called ABC Warehouse and they finally okayed us a new dryer with delivery day of next day, which is today 3-14-2015 and when it arrives THE WHOLE FRONT DOOR IS BENT OFF THE HINGE WOW WOW WOW WOW. Now they say our new will be delivered 3-17-2015 and yes my wife has to take off from work.Updated on April 9, 2015: 3/17/15 ABC Warehouse replaced the 1st broken dryer to only return with another broken dryer, same problem, red check screen light flashing & dryer wont spin. They left here.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo xl washer & dryer for $1600 in May 2017. Sunday, the user interface panel went out in the washer. After an $85 diagnostic visit, we were told it would be $500 to repair and take an additional 5 days. My husband is recovering from major knee surgery so I was short on choices. I elected to purchase a new speed queen and will never purchase Maytag again. The 10 yr warranty tag on the front is useless!

From the time I wrote the complaint until February 2012, I had been dealing with this Maytag Atlantis washing machine (and dryer, which was equally as bad) and I am pleased to report the thing finally died for good! I got another (almost) 3 years out of it! Thats pretty impressive when you consider that I had to manually adjust each load to re-spin. To recap, I purchased it in the summer of 2002 and managed to hold on to it for almost 10 years. I wouldnt normally recommend doing what I did but I was determined to run it into the ground before I replaced it. I replaced it with a GE washer and dryer and couldnt be happier. Maytag will get no further business from me.

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

After talking with corporate several times, trying to reach the CEO, the customer service person told us that the problems were buyers remorse. Needless to say we will never purchase another Maytag/Whirlpool product as long as we live. We are going with Electrolux!

I have had it since 2011 and still works as good as it did back then. I love it. Hope it helps people decide when they go shopping for a dryer. I have a dog so I have to keep her clean so I wash a lot of her bedding and she sheds a lot. She also sleeps on the with me so that other bedding that I put for her on my bed between her clothes and mine which I do separate. The dryer works a lot and it is still going strong.

MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.
