Two years ago I bought a matched set of Maytag Neptune washer and dryer. Although I bought really liked the front loading and large capacity, I bought them because they were Maytags. I remember my parents grumbling that they couldnt afford a decent washer or dryer like Maytag and had to settle for Kenmore or some other brand that they figured was inferior. I noticed that they struggled through 20-25 years of maintenance free use of their inferior appliances. So when I found a pair of Maytag, I thought I had finally arrived. I was 60 years old and I knew this would be the last washer and dryer I would ever have to buy.It is now 2 years later and we developed dryer problems. The repairman found the computer malfunctioning and suggested it would be cheaper to replace than to repair. We asked him to check the washer while he was here and his diagnosis was similar. The drum bearings were gone and probably too expensive to repair. The Maytags are now in some scrap yard and I now have an inferior washer and dryer and I am looking forward to many years of maintenance free struggles. I used to think that Maytag repairmen are the loneliest people because their machines were reliable. I now know that they are lonely because all of the Maytags are garbage and not worth fixing.

Purchased a pair washer/dryer Maytag Bravo XL module from Home Depot, Brentwood, CA #1076 branch. The first day I received my machines, the dryer had a defect. I called them within 24 hours to report the issue and requesting a return. Home Depot wont take it back; they said I have to go though the factory warranty to fix any problems. Its like buying a car, once you drive it off the lot its yours they said. 3 weeks after the washer started making noise. Home Depot kept delaying my claim for more than six month so I couldnt dispute the charges with the credit card company and avoid the California lemon law. I consider this a loss of money and time. Worst appliance purchase experience ever.

We bought this Maytag Bravos 300 Quiet series top loading washer 3 years ago. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer. I absolutely HATE this Maytag Washer. DO NOT buy it. I would rate it less than one star however they did not offer a 1/2 star. If there is class action lawsuit please include me.

We purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer from The Home Depot in September of 2017. We did not purchase the extended warranty because of our confidence in the brand. Within less than a year, both appliances started making noises. By September of 2018, the washer sounded like it had a bag of mice squeaking inside every time we ran a load and had stopped spinning entirely. I called and spoke to a very kind lady who assured me that even if we were outside the one year manufacturers warranty, they would offer us the extended warranty without question because it was so close to the one year purchase. She took my credit card, we were charged for a five year plan and service was scheduled. After service, both units were still louder than I would prefer but the technician said it was common. Over the last few months, both have become louder and louder. Now the dryer shuts off and wont stay on. When I called back to schedule service again, the date of our purchase was all of a sudden in question. (I applied for the contract over the phone so THEIR rep entered the purchase date.) They are now telling us they will only honor the cost of parts and we are subject to pay for diagnostics and labor (which is the largest cost of repair). They are telling us our contract has to be cancelled and AFTER we receive and PAY FOR all but the parts, we can call and pay for a NEW contract. This has been the WORST appliance purchase we have EVER made and we have lost all confidence in the quality of Maytag/Whirlpool appliances. Both units have been VERY disappointing and we spent over $700 on each unit. NEVER AGAIN.

My stainless steel french door refrigerator started to rust 4-5 months after purchase. Upon contacting Maytag/Whirlpool I was advised that this is cosmetic and the cosmetic portion of my warranty is expired. I think this is a poor grade of stainless steel and should be recalled and/or replaced. I would not recommend.

I started hearing the Maytag Microwave MMV4203DW00 beeping this morning after breakfast. I had not used it since the night before to heat up soup in a Corning Ware bowl. Its doing that 5E thing and nothing on the control panel works. Ive unplugged it, waited, plugged it back in and the same thing. It starts off saying Select Clock and 5E and then stops on the 5E. I bought this in Aug. 2010 and it is vented out the wall. Of course, that doesnt work now. The metal rack has never been put in it. Im single and the only one who uses it and I dont use it very much either. And this model only got the one 40-watt regular bulb over the range - lousy. And it doesnt work now either. And the control panel lights up orange. Had I known that, I would have never bought it in the first place. Of course, the stupid orange 5E lights up. Im unplugging it for good. Its not worth fixing. Do not buy this microwave!

I purchased my Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer several years ago, and I have hated them ever since. The clothes smell and are wrinkled. The dryer never gets the clothes dry. It will run and run and run, and the clothes will still be wet. I previously owned a Maytag Washer/Dryer for nearly 20 years and never had a problem. This set is a piece of junk. When I go to Lowes or any store for that matter and see someone considering this product, I warn them as quickly as possible to stay away from this product. I will continue to do so. Shame on you, Maytag, for making such a horrible product and for being too weak to stand behind your product. I will never buy Maytag again and will do my best to make sure none else does either.

We have the 4000 series front loader washer. Within 8 months of owning it, it would shut off in mid cycle. You have to unplug it to restart it. Then, when it completes the cycle, it is still soaking wet. So, you have to put it through the drain and spin cycle again. There is something major wrong with the spin cycle. It takes about 2 hours to do one load of laundry and you have to stay home to do all of the steps. It costs as much to fix it as the machine costs. It’s the worst washer we have ever had. No more Maytags!

Refrigerator - The freezer of the refrigerator would randomly leak on the floor. When I had it repaired on 12/30/14, at a cost of $253.97, the repairman showed me the defective part. He confirmed the online reports that the leaking was caused by a defective part. The defective part had been used because it was cheaper. Now the repaired refrigerator works well. Last month, the control panel on the dishwasher stopped working. According to the online reviews, this is a frequent problem requiring that a new control board be installed. The reported failure typically occurs after the one year warranty expires. My appliances are located in a second home so are only used about once a month. A salesperson at a different appliance store said that appliances usually last from 10 to 12 years. The four years of occasional use prior to failure is not acceptable. I would like to have Maytag repair the dishwasher at their cost. How do I get this to occur?

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased a Maytag brand washer and dryer set. So far, we are thrilled with our purchase. We got front load units that have an XL barrel so we can use it to wash comforters and larger loads. I have washed many loads and so far, havent noticed a longer time to wash or any issues. I love the fact that my clothes are all getting equally as clean and I can be sure that my items will not be torn or ripped in the process. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer in January, 2014. Today, 5/16/15 (less than 1 1/2 years later) the repairman tells me that the cause of the loud noise in the spin cycle is bad bearings. Only a 1-year warranty on the machine. I have never purchased extended warranties on appliances so this will cost me $400! Or a new washer since this is more than half the cost of the new washer. This is bad business, Maytag. Ive been a loyal Maytag customer for years but I think Im heading to Speed Queen with their 5-year warranty unless youre going to give me a helluva deal to keep me. Grrrrrrr.

I agree with everyone one else and their experience with these washers. I took advantage of a credit for those replacing old washers with new HE washers. IF I COULD ONLY GET MY OLD WASHER BACK!!! Its only 2 years old and it sounds like - what others have said, like a B52 taking off (during the spin cycle). I dont have rust spots inside of the machine or out so Im not sure what the issue is but I really dont want to invest in a couple hundred of dollars to this thing. It stinks, doesnt clean well and now this! VERY disappointed...VERY. As a single mom, the thought of finding money to replace something that is new just disgusts me! Nothing like the old washers that last for 18+ years. Nice Maytag I will never purchase another product of yours and will spread the word!

MF12665XEM7 Maytag Fridge water runs on the floor: After reading the review and watching the video to fix, I called Maytag. They refused to help. We bought our fridge at Nebraska Furniture Mart. We have spent a lot of money with them too. My husband called to see if they would split the cost of the service call. They refused. My floor is ruined from the water leakage onto it when we are not home. We try to catch the ice buildup and remove it before it is an issue. Why is there no class action suit? There is definitely a problem with this fridge and Im seeing it online everywhere I look.

Maytag Bravos MVWB725BW - Purchased this washer last year and have been very unhappy with the way it washes. It is extremely harsh in the way the agitator moves the clothes. Because it has a low water level the clothes take quite a beating in the washing process. This is confirmed when I remove the clothes from the dryer and proceed to clean the lint filter. The filter is constantly full of lint, even after drying clothes that have been washed numerous times before. Additionally, the clothes, even though being put in evenly, end up bunching together.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos Top Load washer 3 years ago from Home Depot. I have to admit this is the worst washer ever. The clothes does not appear to get clean enough for the amount of time it takes for the clothes to wash. The white clothes look dingy after a wash that I have gotten to the point of pouring an additional amount of bleach in the wash tub. The amount of water that is in the tub is next to nothing, I have to either add additional water or place no more than 20 pieces of clothing in the wash. This is sad and I regret that I wasted my money on this product and I do not recommend it. As soon as I get some extra money to throw away, this washer is going out with the bulk trash.

Bought this stove in 2011. 9 months ago I had a 300$ repair for fuses to two out of the five stove top burners. Several days ago the ovens were not lighting and I called for repair again. Well the ignition switch in the lower oven had a frayed wire from the factory which created an issue with the control panel. Today I was quoted 600$ to repair the ignition switch and the main control board. PARTS ONLY. I am not repairing this stove. Called Maytag due to the issue of a defective ignition switch wire and got nowhere. Very poor quality product.

This is the most horrible washer ever. Within 3 months it would not go beyond sensing mode and never fill or wash. Tech came and fixed it... 3 times. It still happens and I have to jiggle it all around to activate it. Clothes are never clean, dog hair is never washed out... My broken old agitator machine was taken to the dump & I wish I had it back! How do the stores give this machine a good rating?? I cant do light quick washes, I have to wait forever... Our water bill is 2x higher than ever because if I dont fill the tub with deep water, the clothes dont even all get wet. Hate, hate, hate this thing.

Maytag is a product that I would buy any time. Even uses it well last for a long time. If you want to spend money this is a good investment for your kitchen and as for your laundry get the washer and dryer. You do get your moneys worth with Maytag.

Maytag washer has increased my water bill; it was supposed to be energy efficient! Also, the washer will not wash a blanket. Sensors will move a large item to one side causing an uneven load which then causes numerous extra fills until stopped manually. I was told to add more items! A blanket barely fits in the tub. I had to invest in lint rollers since the rinse cycle is inefficient. This washing machine is useless. I should have stuck with Kenmore.

I have been the latest victim in purchasing a Maytag Refrigerator. Something needs to be done about the defective products they are putting on the market. I received 9/7/13 (yesterday) a new Model FW: 555 Complaints and Reviews about Maytag Refrigerators bottom freezer refrigerator. After being plugged in for 3 hrs, the temp was 60 degrees.. After 8 hrs same and 24 hrs same. I lost everything because of the defect. I notified the store 3 hrs after purchasing it and because I had it delivered on a Saturday I have to wait till Monday to get this resolved. I want everyone to read before buying a Maytag product.

I purchased this gas range from Home Depot in 2011. From the beginning I had problems with the cooking racks slipping off the oven wall. In some instances hot liquids poured on the oven floor. I had bought a service contract on this product and when I asked that this be repaired I was told that it was not covered as it was a design flaw. The condition has slowly worsened and now I cannot cook anything in the oven for fear of the racks falling down. This is a safety feature and the oven should be replaced my Maytag.

Our range and oven are reliable and durable. Easy to clean and have lasted a long time. I do not regret spending a little extra money to have an appliance that has lasted a long time. The oven heats up at a standard rate. The self clean function is very thorough. I have a white set. I was worried they would stain with your typical spills that come along with cooking. However, They clean very easily.

I have a Maytag dishwasher model mdb6759aws3. The control touch pad broke after 1.5 years of light use. It costs $475 to fix (includes labor). Completely unacceptable service provided by Maytag over the phone. The only concession offered was a 25% discount if I bought the replacement part (control touch pad) from them. After some internet research, I learned Maytag marks up their parts prices over 25% so they are really not giving you a discount at all.I filed a complaint with Maytag but they were unable to provide me with any evidence of doing such except for an 11-digit code. Due to a major defect, Maytag should have sent me the replacement part for free. I told Maytag I thought this was fair and that I would pay for the labor. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again! They are junk and the company does not practice common sense customer service.

This is the noisiest washing machine ever manufactured - cannot do laundry at night or no one sleeps, during the evening it overpowers the television. Dark washes are a nightmare as there is a white smear (soap scum?) on everything (guess you don’t see it on whites) - extra rinse does not help. What happened to this “reliable company”???

I have had my stove since 2004. A problem I have had was when I asked it to clean the ovens, it quit working all together. A service person was called. Also sometimes when I turn on one burner, another one will turn on instead. Yesterday I turned on a burner to low, and it did not turn on at all.

We bought a Maytag washer in 1987. It worked beautifully for years. The Maytag Centennial Washer we have now is sub-standard. It takes a full hour or more to wash one load. No quick wash feature. Today I filled the washer with soap, clothes, and pushed the button to fill it. It filled and inexplicably drained, wasting my time, water, and laundry soap. I regret buying this washer.

I purchased Maytag gas range in March 2011 at Home Depot, Model No. MGR5605WWO. I received the product in May 2011. The porcelain on the grates chips away leaving large grooves in grate, which affects cooking efficiency, (the fire burns erratically). First, I called 1-800-688-9900. The grates were replaced. And then same problem, it was replaced again, and again the same problem. The warranty to cover stove was extended by 6 months. The enamel on the round magnetic cover for the burner is also chipping away. I was told that this chipping of the enamel is a cosmetic problem and does not affect the functionality of the stove problem.A repair technician was sent out at my request to see firsthand the problem grates. I was told by him that if it occurred again, the manufacturer needs to be made aware of the defective grates. He noted that the enamel covering on the grates was not uniform. I have been told by Maytag supervisor today that she will get back to me within 3-5 days and let me know what is going to be done. I have had gas ranges before, but this is the first time this problem has occurred and its continuation is unacceptable. Is there anything further I can do to ensure I have stove grates that do not chip continuously?

We purchased our range in May of 2012. It is now November 2014 and the stove has had three brains, three ignitors in the oven and one ignitor in the back of the stove. When I set it to bake at 350 degrees, the oven heats up and I put the food in the oven. When I go to check the food, I find the oven stone cold and the brain is still displaying 350 degrees. According to Home Depot Warranty department, if the oven has been fixed three times for the same problem, then the unit is considered a LEMON. Ok, what about the three brains? What about the three ignitors? The ignitor in the back of the stove controls the oven as well. SEVEN times for a technician to come out and fix my LEMON stove is ridiculous. California has lemon laws. I will file suit against Home Depot, Whirlpool, A&E and Quality Appliance if this stove is not replaced within the next seven days. IT IS A LEMON! I have lost way too much food in this oven because I dont know when it shuts off.

We bought a freestanding Maytag gas range and oven two years ago for our lake house, where we stay approximately two months out of the year. The oven has been used probably six or seven times total. The gas range works fine, and the oven pilot light goes on, gas seems to be flowing, but the oven does not get warm. It registers 200 degrees, but there is no heat inside it at all. $300 to fix!

I purchased a Maytag MDB7749AWW dishwasher in March of 2012. The electronic control on this unit failed in June of 2013 (3 months out of warranty). I have been trying to get a replacement part for over a month; the part is on backorder and unavailable. Whirlpool is unable to tell me when the part will be available. So, I have had no dishwasher for over a month and have no idea when, or if it will be repairable. Additionally this part is $150.00 and another $75.00 to have it changed. So it is going to cost me $225.00 to repair a 15 month old dishwasher that I paid $450.00 for. I have received ZERO support from Whirlpool. They told me today, 7-31-13, that the part is still unavailable and they will notify me in 3-6 business days as to if they can find a part. After seeing all the issues other people have had with this part, Whirlpools total lack of concern or support for the consumer and the cost issue it makes no sense to repair this unit only to see it fail again in a year or so. Basically I have a $450.00 boat anchor. The retailer purchased it from feels bad and is offering me another manufactures machine at a reduced price. Maytag has refused to do anything for me. I will never buy another Whirlpool / Maytag item again and I do intend to add my name to the pending class action suit.

3 months after we purchased our Maytag dishwasher in Jan 2014 (Sears) it broke. The service person told us that the ELECTRONIC CONTROL PANEL (START, CANCEL, WASH CYCLE SELECTIONS) was a common breakage issue and fixed it. It broke again around one year from our purchase date. Same issue, but kept working and not working. Finally we contacted Maytags customer service. Although courteous the only thing we were offered for this common Maytag issue was a $249.95 one year warranty for them to come and fix this recurring problem. I explained that we had already spent about $870 (including tax, delivery and installation) for our middle of the line dishwasher one and a half years ago and asked if they would consider either charging us for a smaller service call/repair or just do it because it seems to be a design and manufacturing issue. After one hour and no sympathy I had to pay the $249.95 to get a repair person out and be covered for one year from today. I dont trust the cheap quality and the lack of support for the product. THEY ARE OUT THERE TO SELL MORE INSURANCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DOESNT MATTER!

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

Purchase date of Maytag dishwasher 12/9/11 for $651.37. Controls broke 6/2013. Used Maytag specified repair service at cost of $450. New control panel installed 7/9/13. Control panel broke again 8/13/14. WILL BUY NEW DISHWASHER. NOT MAYTAG.

My old washing machine was about 25 years old but still doing a fantastic job getting the laundry done. When the dryer died we decided to replace both machines so theyd match. I had been setting money aside for years in preparation for this purchase. Ive only had them for two weeks and I stay awake at night wondering what GENIUS decided you can get clothes cleaner in a tablespoon of water than you can in an adequate amount of water?! My old washer could wash a load of laundry in about 20 minutes. Again, what GENIUS decided taking over an hour to wash a load of laundry in a tablespoon of water was a better way?! What working woman would choose to double the time needed to do laundry and then not feel confident that the clothes are clean?!!! I am so mad and frustrated and disappointed and I dont know what to do. I wish I could yell at somebody!!!

Maytag Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM1. What a piece of JUNK! Purchased in June 2013. Control panel went out six months later! June 2014 Control panel BAD again (#2). March 2015 another Control panel replaced (#3). Thank God for Home Depots extended warranty! October 2019.... Control panel needs replacing!

I purchased high end Maytag washer, dryer, dishwasher and microwave in May 2010. On Saturday 4/25/14, the Maytag Microwave stopped heating. The fan runs, the panel, display, lights, clock, and tray all work. It just doesnt cook. The Microwave was installed in June of 2010. Not even 4 years old. I have tried to troubleshoot via the instructions that came with the microwave, i.e. Check the demo mode is not on. Dont know why after 3 yrs it would be, but checked it. No help. Pulled the plug out and replaced; turned breaker on and off; checked to see if its was locked. Nothing. I then checked the door and I found that the plastic inside panel on the latching side of the door is pulling away from the door itself, which is part of the locking system. The magnetron shouldnt work if the door system isnt closing properly. The latch system is what is causing the door to pull apart. I am wondering now how much microwave exposure my family has been getting from a malfunctioning door? I have had a Microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator made by Maytag in the past. The refrigerator is 14 yrs old and still works fine. The microwave and dishwasher were at least 10 yrs old when I replaced them with the new Maytags I have now. Here is the problem. Maytag is not Maytag Corp. anymore. Whirlpool Corp now owns the Maytag brand. Prior to the old Maytags I had, I had GE fridge which was junk, and Whirlpool, dishwasher, stove and microwave. They were also junk. I swore I would never buy Whirlpool products again. Surprise.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer 2 years ago and it is the worst washer I have ever used. My clothes are never clean. It is always out of balance and is so slow and takes forever to do a load of laundry. It has started stopping on spin and have to unplug it to get it started back then it sounds like a jet coming in for a landing and has to restart the spin about 3 or 4 times before it ever finishes. I have had the repairman to look at it and says there is not anything wrong with it, but something has to be wrong for it to stop on spin and have to unplug it for 5 mins. in order for it to reset itself and start again.

Purchased Maytag Model MVWB865GW0 Ser# **, had it ONE year, circuit board and switch have gone bad, will not turn to change the type of wash cycle and the lid will not lock, which makes the washing machine not start to wash. Contacted Maytag to request a service call, per the service team the circuit board will cost $300, plus a switch $75 and Labor $100 plus tax. We will be better off buying a new washing machine! We should not have this high cost within ONE year of purchasing! Will not purchase a Maytag again!

Bought this machine with the intention of having at LEAST 10 problem free years with it. Its a Maytag after all. Not an unreasonable expectation. Within the first 2 years, the machine sounded like the bearings were going out (heavy, grinding noises when it shifted gears). Repairman came, replaced the entire drum (only way to get to the gears, I guess). Didnt fix a thing. Then the rinse and spin cycle on ANY wash cycle randomly quits. Just stops. Full load of wet, soapy clothes, sitting in the tub while an LD error code quietly flashes.Its not uncommon for it to take two full days of screwing around with this machine to get one load of clothes done. Have to UNPLUG the machine, let it sit for about an hour, and try again. It is the biggest waste of money ever and I will NEVER buy another Maytag nothing. Contacted Maytag and they recommended I call a repairman...REALLY? REALLY? Gee, I wish I had thought of that. Repair guy has been to my house so damn many times for this machine, we are now friends on Facebook. Dont waste your money on this machine.

Our $1,000.00 Maytag Bravos is only 4 years old (also bought the matching dryer at the same time). We have had to purchase two new motherboards for the washer and now the uL, during the spin cycle, comes on and my clothes will not spin out. I have followed the manuals directions to unplug, wait, replug, redistribute, etc... all to NO avail. So very disappointed with this machine. Bought it because it was a Maytag, but will never buy another :( I had this machine repaired with major amount of parts and expense (due to the uL problem), BUT the uL code still keeps coming up. I am one really unhappy customer.

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and dryer package from Home Depot in 2004 and had nothing but problems ever since. Such things as washer had mold constantly. Also, clothes seemed to have a foul odor after washing. The dryer always seemed to have to be ran twice to get clothes dry.

This review is for a Maytag Gemini MGT8775XW 30 Freestanding Double-Oven Gas Range w/ 5 Burners. I cannot believe the amount of problems I have had from this $2000+ range. Within just a few weeks of getting it, the paint started scratching off the surfaces nearest the heat. Then, the plastic cover over the digital display and controls bubbled up due to the heat of the broiler being in use. They designed it so that the heat escapes from the oven right in front of the control panel, so when you want to adjust temperatures on the control panel, you chance getting burnt from the hot air every time.The very worst design are the manual knobs for the burners on the front. They are at an angle, and if you look at the oven straight on, you see they are higher than the burner surface. A hot pan that overhangs the burner cooks the knobs. The plastic interior of the knob lacks any kind of heat resistance and actually starts to turn soft, keeping you from being able to turn off the burner at all!Most dangerous of all, the knobs are frighteningly easy to bump, pouring gas into your house. We have had this problem multiple times. Today, my dog must have wanted to investigate the top of the stove, because when I came home, the burner was on, had burnt through a pot on the stove, and was just at the ignition point for an item sitting next to the stove. If I had come home 15 minutes later, my house would be in flames right now. I am having to air out my home as I type this. I am DONE with this dangerous oven and will be shopping for a new one, and it certainly wont be Maytag.

Well Maytag, shame on you! I just called customer service about the third repair made on my Maytag 4000 Series Washing Machine; its only two years old. The rep side stepped the limited warranty that is good for five years on the motor and tried to sell me another warranty for $329.00. I have $460.00 (parts only) in repairs. Purchasing a warranty will have me spending more money than I actually paid for it. The excuse that I was given was (per quote) our machines are made by people and we have no way of determining the outcome of our products past the given warranty. Maybe you should have considered buying the extended warranty that was offered at the time of purchase. Yeah, maybe I should have, but Maytag should build a product that consumers are happy with, and extended warranty sales past a longer period of time might make more sense. If you are thinking about purchasing any Maytag appliance, I would think twice or you just might get some person on the other end of the line that just doesnt care, representing the name of Maytag! I visit the Big Box Stores daily and you can bet your tail that I will make a special visit to the appliance section just to discourage any one from making the same mistake I did! Just think, the last washing machine that I purchased lasted for 9 years (not one issue) and it was still working when I gave it to someone in need! I have three appliances in my kitchen that are 11 years old, never had one problem with either one. Thank You KitchenAid! I should have purchased your washer and dryers!

Come on people are you serious! Im talking about all those people who give this washer great reviews or even mediocre reviews. This washing machine sucks! Thank God for the glass lid so you can see how terrible it washes. No water in this thing. Clothes that sit on the edge of the bowl do not agitate enough to be washed if there was water in the wash cycle. Bleach that you use in your white wash cycle is left over and gets onto your colored cycle if you wash it the color cycle next. I ** you not, mark my words that stains are left on clothes even in a cycle that has lots of water in it. If you think Im high or crazy take a look at your local Home Depot or Lowes store. Check the area for washing machines that are for sale that have been used. You will find this Maytag Bravos XL machine there. They look good and are practically brand new and they will be there for weeks on and because people return them if they get lucky to return them. I called my store and they refuse to take it back and told me to call the manufacturer. I did just that... I called the manufacturer and they told me they can send out a serviceman to check the washing machine. Butt...and a big butt, if they find nothing wrong with the washing machine that I will be charged a service fee. Bunch of **! For all of us that get stuck with this pile of garbage we can thank the tree huggers for trying to save the world with low water consumption water washing machines.

Gemini Twin natural gas range - I bought this range approximately 18 months ago. I thought it had all the features I needed and it looked good -- looking good is just about all it does! If you are a real cook I would suggest you avoid this range. The burner controls are preset and it is impossible to turn the flame very low if a simmering heat is required. If you are making meringues, again, the oven heat cannot be turned to a cool enough temperature. Ovens bake/broil unevenly. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not because the flame is not hot enough, but because the pots sit far too high above the flame. Bad, bad design. Probably designed by someone who eats take-out!!

The Maytag MGR5875QDW oven does not come up to temperature. It might start, but then it will give 2 dings and show a failure. I have called the 800 number in the manual. There’s no good help. I turned the power off and then on. It’s no help. This a pain in the rear end. That is a kind way of saying it. Home phone is **; cell phone number is **. Call me any time. Thank you. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in 2010 model MDB6709AWW1. I only had it a year and the control panel went. They came out and replaced it and the guy told me that they were having a lot of the same problems. Now in 2015 it has gone again. It will run, but you cant change the settings. I took out the extended warranty on it and called 3 weeks ago and they sent out a local appliance repair company. This guy told me he had just come from another house with the same dishwasher with the same problem. He ordered the parts and I have been waiting 2 weeks. I called and the lady told me that they changed the part # and that they dont have any made yet and dont know when they will. WHAT!!! How can a company not have any parts made for their own dishwasher. I didnt buy the dishwasher when I bought all my other appliances, because there was a dishwasher here. It was gross and didnt work well. All my other appliances are Kenmore and I will stick with them. Have owned them for years and never had any problems.

We have a 3 year old washer dryer. The wash stopped working so we called Maytag directly to have their repair person come look at their product. Little did we know that they sub contract repair to local companies I could have contacted myself. After being told the authorized dealer was Maytag I soon found out it was not a Maytag employee. The man who came has no idea what is wrong and is guessing at issues. Once a installed part is not the cause he wants to try something else but we have to pay for him to trial and error.We have spent hundreds of dollars and yet our washer is still broken. We have decided to go buy another washer as this is our cheaper option (it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool). When I tried to talk to ** (Maytag manager who lied on the phone to me and was very rude) manager I was talking to refused and told I had to file my complaint with her co-work. Purchased a Maytag Dryer, Washer and Oven Range in December 2011. Both washer and oven were serviced within 1 year under warranty. The dryer stopped working in August 2013, not under warranty. Total cost to repair is $450. Called Maytag to see if they could reduce the repair cost, answer... NO. Maytag spends millions of dollars in advertising... Built Strong to Last Long but they cant spend several hundreds to keep customers. Will never buy a Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid or any other related company product ever. Their motto should be Built Weak to Last Weeks.

I have had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. It recently started leaking water on the floor and all over the bottom of the freezer. Repairman said it is a flaw with the defrost drain design. He thinks Maytag MIGHT have changed it since I purchased mine, but I dont know. Originally they used this small rubber valve;repairman said they get clogged very easily (even though I vacuum around it regularly and dont have any pets). He replaced that part with something sturdy that looks like a p trap. I looked online and there are loads of complaints about this exact issue with the defrost drain clogging. It cost $250 to have it repaired. I called Maytag to ask to be reimbursed and of course they will not do anything since it is out of warranty. Its a shame Maytag wont stand behind their products. Since there are so many of us with this issue, cant something be done?

Big mistake. Worst purchase ever!! These high-efficiency washers (Maytag Washer Bravos XL) are the worst especially this one! I wash and wipe down the washer drum more than I was my clothes. I purchased it because it had a huge drum so I can wash my blankets and comforters. This washer leaves soap scum marks/residue on clothes and leaves it on the drum as well. I basically have to wash my clothes twice once with soap and then run again with just wash and rinse without soap, you tell me how efficient is that! Why not make a washer that put more water so the clothes can get washed properly. Dont worry about my water and electric bill. MAKE A WASHER THAT WORKS!I called customer service she asked me if I use the deep water, now you tell me why am I going to use the deep water, if that is the only way the washer is going to clean the clothes then do NOT give me 11 other options the washer to use. ONLY HAVE DEEP WASH OPTION. I dont care about the bells and whistles, I do not need a different tune when I turn it on and a different tune when its done washing my clothes. Make the washer the way it used to be WASHES CLOTHES WITH WATER AND LOTS OF IT. I will pay my bill not to worry. So I called customer service all they said was they will document my call! Well... like thats going to do me any good while I am stuck with your POS washer!

We had a Neptune Maytag for over 12 years, best machine ever but this one (Bravos XL) is complete junk. We have been very disappointed in its ability to clean clothes with the length of time to complete its cycles is ridiculous. Its always out of balance with just a few pieces and lack of water twisting everything in knots. Well 16 months after purchase here we are with a broken machine, we have a fried circuit board. Maytag has lost our business permanently.

We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag may have been king in the 60s, but the quality of their products has tanked. Dont waste your money on their products.

We purchased this oven (MGR5775QDS ) along with a Refrigerator/Freezer, Dishwasher and Microwave on 2007 when we remodeled our kitchen. Since then the Refrigerator had to be serviced twice, the Dishwasher had a recall for fire safety - repaired, but I still have a scorched bottom tray, and the oven after self cleaning once has warped and the racks will not hold anything with any weight without collapsing. Maytag sent me new racks about a year ago, but that didnt help. I grill most of my meals or cook on the stovetop but on the rare occasion we try and use the oven it’s a nightmare. We lost a Thanksgiving Turkey and Easter Ham and recently a lasagna and a glass pan. Every time we have one of these events I search the internet in hopes that there has been some kind of recall on this model. It’s not safe. When the 20 lb turkey came crashing down, my wife was nearly burned by the juices that splattered and the house filled up with smoke. Happy Thanksgiving from Maytag - everyone go stand outside in the cold for 1/2 an hour while we clear out the smoke in the house. Recently when the rack collapsed and hot lasagna came crashing down, the glass/pyrex tray broke and left a huge bubbly mess in the bottom of the oven. Yay Maytag, thanks again - ruined a dinner, broke a dish and since we can’t use the self clean option, spent the rest of the evening scrubbing out the oven... and eating takeout food on Valentine’s Day. Sounds like the perfect Romantic evening right? I am so sickened with this company. We purchased all Maytag appliances because of their reputation. But now they dont even stand behind their products. Same thing as everyone else. The motherboard/control board, the main face of the washer went out and this part isnt covered on an $800 commercial washer after only 3 years of residential use on a commercial washer. Menards refused to swap it out, saying this is Maytags issue. Maytag boasts their 10 year warranty and labels it right on the motherboard as a 10 year warranty, but the motherboard isnt covered? If the main computer isnt covered, What is covered? Just screws? I called Menards and got nowhere. Called Maytag and held for an hour then had to hang up so I can work. The warranty is extremely misleading and is the reason we bought this particular washer, because it says 10 year parts warranty right there, but Maytag conveniently doesnt consider the main control board a part.

Purchased a new Maytag dishwasher just under 1 year ago. After a 5 months it started not working. We called the dealer - who gave us a number to call because it was under warranty. We called the number and it took days to get someone to look at it and not fix it. It needed a new part. Its been over a week now and we havent heard anything, and still no working dishwasher. Our last two dishwashers lasted over 18 years. Kenmore and Whirlpool, never had any issues. This is our first Maytag. Service has been snail pace slow. Dont buy a Maytag dishwasher unless you want to spend your life washing dishes.

JADE model RJRS4270. Had this model for 10 years with more than 10 service calls. Always breaking down and Whirlpool will not honor the warranty. Paid for an extended warranty service to Maytag/Whirlpool offered by the manufacturer. When unit broke Whirlpools warranty service provider Assurance said Whirlpool no longer provides the parts needed, sorry can’t honor the extended warranty you had paid for, no parts, and no refund. The evaporator drip tray had been replaced three times. Asked to have the unit replaced. Whirlpool was absolutely disrespectful and only offered me to the option to buy another discounted $8K unit for a with ~ $2K discount.So far approx. $6K unit + approx. $1K extended warranty (not honored) + approx. $1K parts and service out of my pocket (Whirlpool continued to tell me it was not warranted). Although the operator’s manual said it was covered. While under warranty Whirlpool doesnt have replacement parts to service it. Multiple service tech are telling me there are many known issues with this unit. Found out there’s class action law for the same issues Im experiencing. Whirlpool only offered a new unit at approx. $6K. So total for me to date if I choose to take the discounted unit would be $12K. Dont buy this unless you have a good lawyer. Hardly seems reasonable. Asked to speak to manager/sup. Said if you won’t honor warranty then please provide replacement. Transfer to Mike said we must schedule service through Whirlpool to fix contradicts. We asked for reference number to track. Mike said they don’t use reference numbers (contradicts Jared from when he asked me for a reference number). Two days no call from Whirlpool. Customer support call back 4/7/16 - Kari, offered small discount for equivalent new or refurbished unit $5,739 for Model KBSN602ESS. Said although under warranty, Whirlpool may not be able to provide parts to repair unit, but they will sell me an equivalent unit.

The glass shelves stop 2 1/2 inches from the back of the refrigerator. Things keep falling down in back. I have a counter depth. Cant afford to lose any space. Freezer poorly designed for space compared to one I had before.

Bought Maytag Dishwasher in 2/2012. 10/2015 dishwasher stopped working. My husband tried to replace the motherboard, however, dishwasher completely done. Called Maytag and they said they would send a repair company at their expense, however, repair service called to verify appointment and told us how much it would cost us! Maytag had no intention of paying the bill even after they said they would. Called Maytag back and said the other customer service person was incorrect. Now, buying another dishwasher only after 3.5 years.

We purchased the Maytag Neptune washer and dryer on May 2005. We purchased it for $2,000. We have had so many problems as we have replaced the drain pump 2 times because of objects getting stuck in it. We have also replaced the door switch, as well as flooding my laundry room floor several times.In 2006, we received a notice of recall. We responded to the recall and were supplied with a GFCI plug for our washer, as this was to prevent the control board from catching on fire. In September 2011, the control panel on the Neptune washer failed. I now have to purchase a new washer, as this is an expensive fix. With this poor workmanship and problems that we have encountered, I am very disappointed. This was a lot of money to spend on a washer, only to last 6 years.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model #MDB6769AWB2. After 1 year and 2 months of light use (just my wife and myself), the control panel went out on it! I called Maytag and because it was over 1 year old, they would not do anything about it! When you call their number listed in the owner’s manual, they thank you for calling their Customer Experience Center. This is an experience I can do without!

I purchased this washer in January 2017 at our local Home Depot here in Mexico. It was a washer/dryer combo. Now, in July, a mere 6 months and only a few wash loads later, it has gone from the worst machine I have ever owned to what I consider to be garbage material. First of all, it boasts about not using much water. This is true... Only 1/4 of your load is in the 3 inches of water at the bottom of the machine and the top 3/4 never even gets wet. I couldnt believe it. Now, I put 2 sheets in this morning and it fills almost to the point of spilling out, though I have to give it credit for shutting off the water before it actually did so. This is a NEW washing machine!!! I, along with a lot of other folks from what I am now discovering, are all in the same boat. I remember Maytag being a mark of excellence way back in the day... This is no longer the case. Stay away from this company... I know I will.

I bought a new Maytag Quiet Series 300 in 2005 and have had nothing but problems with it. The internal plastic pieces that hold dishes in place have broken off regularly. The door handle also broke. The dishwasher does not drain all the way every time. Now, the dishwasher will quit randomly before finishing its cycle. Our model (MDB7600 AWB) was not part of the recall, but is a lemon nonetheless. Of course, all of this occurred after our one year warranty had expired. This dishwasher is a lemon and a waste of $400. Well never buy another Maytag product.

I purchased Maytag washer and dryer on 12/6/2011 and they required four repairs of the same problem. The bellow and rubber seal continually break and rip. Same issue all four times and Maytags response was to get a second opinion. Okay, same issue and same problem. Maytag does not warranty their machines for a full year and have yet to solve the problem with the machine.

I love the functionality of this Maytag refrigerator. The inside is so nice and big, I can almost fit anything into it. When I need to make a lot of food for a lot of people, this refrigerator really foots the bill.

I think it would be nice to state on the box of dishwasher that customer may need a water connecting fitting and hose for their new dishwasher. Yes, I was asked if I needed anything else and I replied I dont think so! Well when I got home, I did need the water supply sweep 90 degree elbow. Or tell sales people to inform there are parts missing. I had to drive back to Huntsville, AL from Hazel Green. Not life or death, just saying! I do like Maytag products. The dishwasher I replaced was17 years old and we had good service! It’s just starting sounding like a rocket motor. Time to upgrade, I thought. Well my wife really thought so! ;)

After writing a polite but stern complaint to several of the executives at Maytag and Whirlpool we got a call from their executive assistant. She arranged to have a technician come out to our house and assess the installation. He found nothing wrong and Maytag replaced the control panel for free. The technician has seen numerous faulty electronic control panels, and not just with Maytag. He would not recommend a preferred make or model. He longed for the old mechanical timer switches, which we could no longer find in the newer models. With enough customer complaints maybe they will do something about the electronic control panel in the future.

Well, my washer is 2 years old, yes thats right - 2 years old. And it only goes to the wash cycle, washes once and stops, wont complete a full cycle. Yes, the brand with the commercial with the repairman just sitting around because their products are so great you never have to work on them. Yeah right. And Ive seen videos on YouTube on the problem with the Maytags. So Maytag may want to look into it!

I bought my Maytag dishwasher on September 4, 2013. In August 2014 the control panel went out. (Sound familiar?) The dishwasher was still under warranty, so I called Maytag. 18 months old washer breakdown #6 - I purchased a new out of the box washer from Aarons model #MVWC7ESWWO and since Ive owned it, it has broken down repeatedly with the same problem - a water inlet valve. As a child seeing the commercial with the repairman with nothing to fix played a part in my purchase, I couldnt be more unhappy. With a family of five, there is laundry and not having a reliable washer does present a problem. I sent you this while waiting for the part to arrive from Sears. Sincerely, an unsatisfied customer.

On my 3rd circuit board for a MDB7749SBMO MODEL dish washer. The people at Maytag are people that wont even talk to you about it. How many people have to complain before theres a recall on a faulty ribbon cable.

The dishwasher turns on of its own accord. Sometimes when you get too close to it, once in a while in the middle of the night, and most of the time when you latch the door. It does a great job cleaning the dishes, but to no avail because its always in the middle of a cycle when you need them.

During 2018 we purchased Maytag Bravos top loader to replace antique KitchenAid. Very dissatisfied at first, but luckily found the settings that makes my machine work very well on every cycle. First add 1/2 gallon of water to empty tub. Add detergent. Set controls at: Soil Level-Heavy; Wash temp - Warm; Main dial - Bulky Sheets; Extra Rinse - ON; Fabric Softner - OFF. Can now load full tub of clothes and more detergent if desired. Press start button and water covers it entirely. It works so well now, that I went from I hate it to I love it. Been going for two perfect months with no issues. Weird but true. Hope this helps you.

Maytag dryer MEDC215EW - This dryer does not dry the clothes without many wrinkles. Sheets just ball up with the inner sheet a mass of wrinkles. Small loads just flop from top to the bottom of the dryer, falling in clumps. I have gone back to having to ironing. Very disturbing!!! I would not recommend this dryer to anyone.

We have had this refrigerator since January 2011. All was OK for 18 months. Then the lid to the deli drawer fell off, the plastic bar that holds the two drawers up broke (weve had to use roof shingles to prop them up) and another one of the plastic pieces crumbled. Now the ice maker wont work and the refrigerator makes a loud ticking noise. There are only two older adults here and we have not treated this appliance roughly. After reading all the complaints on this site, Im wondering if any of it is worth fixing. My GE refrigerator worked for almost 20 years.

Washer purchased in May 2013 last month it stopped completing the drain and spin cycle and cloth stayed wet. To have the machine repaired, we would have to replace the control panel. The cost of replacing the control panel plus the service call was 76% of the cost of buying a brand new machine. As such we are disposing of the machine and will be purchasing a competitive product.

Wish I would have read the many, many, many reviews on the Maytag MDB8959SBS dishwasher before buying it. As noted by others, the touch control buttons stopped working 1 month after the 1 year warranty expired and Maytag wont do anything about it. BE WARY OF THE 10 YEAR WARRANTY CLAIM - IT DOESNT COVER THIS PROBLEM. Maytag should issue a recall on this product and do the right thing - take care of customers like they used to.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from a local business (Decker and Sons in Grand Rapids, Michigan). The fridge is a French door style with the freezer on the bottom and a water dispenser/ice maker in the left door. In the 19 months weve owned the unit weve had to have service three times. One time for the freezer door not shutting correctly, and two times because the refrigerator portion quit cooling (freezer was fine). Both times it was due to something breaking that defrosts the area behind the vegetable drawers.Both times all of our food went bad. Second time it took almost two weeks to fix (Diamond was the repair service). Now, after the service, the left door doesnt shut correctly. The quality of the unit is so questionable that I hesitate to fill it back up with food. Its just plain old junk. Luckily, we purchased a five year warranty when we purchased it...but we thought the service would be performed by the shop where we bought it, but its farmed out to other repair providers.

I have had Maytags for 20 years and never have been disappointed before I bought the Centennial and it is junk. It doesnt even put enough water in to wash the clothes. After it breaks, I will never buy Maytag again. When did you guys start going down the drain literally? My clothes do not get cleaned. I live in the country and we all get dirty. We need a dependable washer and dont even get me started on the dryer. I thought maybe you would care enough to know.

This Maytag Bravos HE machine has the poorest design! It doesnt use enough water on the normal cycle so I always have to use the bulky load just to get the clothes wet. The old washers used to spin the water out thus keeping the load even. This machine drains the water first and then tries to spin an uneven load! When this happens the machine bangs loudly from side to side, stops, refills with more water and starts the whole process again until it fixes its problem or until you go shake out the entire load and reposition everything. Then it uses more water to start the process all over again. It takes twice as long to do a load of laundry.Every time I use it I say I hate this machine! This machine should have never been released without extensive testing. Maytag could have figured out all of their own problems and fixed them so we wouldnt be writing all of these bad reviews. A recall should have been done years ago and the problems all fixed. I will never buy Maytag again!

Bravos gas dryer - three issues in three years. Same issue twice, clothes are not drying. Now I have company coming and have to deal with his issue. The blower motor went. So, I have paid for a new dryer in repairs already. The washer is making such a loud noise when it goes into spin cycle that you have to turn the volume up to the highest level on the TV and it is still tough to hear. It’s unbelievably in the horrible quality. Make the product and parts in the USA and stop buying junk from China and Mexico. This is good American money that is flushed down the toilet with Maytag as well as your reputation. Fix your quality control and do the right thing!

Never had a Maytag before I bought my house. So far the only complaint is there’s a broken piece that prevents the drawer from functioning. Otherwise, pretty good stove/range for the price. Do wish it was easier to clean without scraping anything up.

This fridge is a piece of crap. Bought brand new and right after warranty the freezer started freezing up and leaking all over the floor, ruined the wall behind the fridge which created mold as well as the puddle on the floor that multiple people in my home slipped and fell and it started shocking anyone who touches it. Called a repair man he says he doesnt know why its shocking probably is the manufacturers fault as well as the defect causing it to freeze up and leak. I call Maytag and the guy doesnt seem to care that my 7 year old has been shocked and says unplug it and I will just need a new fridge. I already spent the money on the new fridge. Why should I have to go buy a new one now after 2 years, that I cant afford. Its ridiculous how many other people are having problems. Its a defect and should be recalled and they should have replaced the crap fridge they sold me in the first place. You would think for such a big company they would do something but yet people are getting seriously injured and this seems like it should be taken to court for a lawsuit. I am extremely unsatisfied and wont ever buy a Maytag and will let all my family and clients through my cleaning business not to ever purchase a fridge from Maytag.

This washing machine has been very reliable.No repairs needed yet. This machine has stood the test of time. We use it at least.. four times a week. Light and heavy loads. It fits in our washroom and budget. Just perfect. I would recommend this brand to everyone.

Maytag has always been my choice with appliances. Ive purchased others and always dissatisfied. This dishwasher has been a trooper and lasted forever. Its been overworked with 4+ children and yet still going strong. I recommend Maytag????

Purchased Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM3 on March 19, 2014 and on June 10, 2017 the washer would not go through the cycles properly. So I got on the internet to check out the problem. Maytag has very flimsy wiring circuit on the back of the control panel that rusts out due to being close to high-temperature water. Obviously a design flaw. The only way to fix it is to replace the control panel for $150 dollars with another flawed part. Do not buy Maytag dishwasher.

I bought my Bravos XL 3 years ago after having older model Maytags since the 1980s. My mother also runs a laundromat and SWEARS by Maytag. To say Im disappointed in this purchase is an understatement!!! They have never washed the same as the older models. They twist the clothes horribly! Now Im having issues with all of my dark clothes getting grease spots on them with no apparent cause. I use HE detergent and softener (recommended amounts only) and clean the washer religiously, including the detergent, bleach and softener cups. I DETEST these machines. Also, the dryer never dries unless I run it for 2 cycles, regardless of what setting it is on. Waste of money and definitely not energy efficient when it comes to my water and electric bill, nor time efficient for me since clothes either come out still dirty or with new stains. After this purchase, I would NEVER buy Maytag again!!!!!!

I purchased the top model Maytag dishwasher, and within four uses, I noticed major water damage to the side of my cabinetry. I pulled out the dishwasher and realized it was coming from the side unit where water enters the tub. These things happen, and I phoned their customer service department expecting this unit to simply be replaced, being that it was less than a week old, and that I would have been left a satisfied customer. They were willing to send a technician over to try to fix the problem, but not replace it. I now have to replace my cabinets, and maybe even my granite as it may be damaged in the removal process. I am not asking them to fix that even though the damage was caused by their dishwasher, but a new dishwasher, I did expect them to cover. Their customer service stinks, and I suggest to anyone that if you have any problems with a new unit, the best thing to do is return it to where you bought it. Im sure they will gladly give you a new unit and send the bad one back to Maytag. Dealing with Maytags customer service is the worst thing you can do. They do everything in their power to not replace it. Instead, theyd rather lose a customer for life. Whats sad for them is that Im a builder, and I usually build approximately three houses per year. Thats a lot of units theyve lost sales on over a simple replacement of a dishwasher. Its not a good way to do business. The bottom line is, stay away from Maytag.

It leaves white stuff all over everything. You have to rewash or rinse black clothes at least twice. We have to clean the washer frequently or the clothes smell like mildew. I chose Maytag because I thought they were the best. Apparently, I was wrong and it was a mistake buying this.

First of all how you wash a load of laundry with a cup full of water? I got this washer and dryer (XL Bravos) as a birthday gift from my husband. This is the worst washer Ive ever had. It takes forever to wash and the laundry is still dirty, it only has a cupful of water in it. Im so disappointed at Maytag for selling something like this. If anyone is doing a class act lawsuit please include me in.

I bought my washer just over 3 years ago and it started making loud clicking noises and it seems like the agitator function is not working at all. I have a repairman coming over in a few days. I knew I should have gotten the extended warranty!

I purchased the subject Maytag washer (MHWE201YW-3.5 CU FT WHT FRNT LD WSHR) from Home Depot in December of 2012. I got exactly 1 year of use and then the washer stopped working. I called the Home Depot repair person who came and repaired the unit. The repair lasted two weeks and the washer stopped working again. Because the unit was no longer under its 1-yr warranty the Home Depot repair person was not available for repair. Another independent Maytag repair person came and evaluated to problem. He said the computer which is located on the motor was no good and to the tune of over $400.00 (parts and labor) a new motor was purchased and installed. It lasted two months and it quit working again. After several months I was finally able to contact the original Home Depot repair person for one visit. He said he would check the code message and get back to me. I never heard from him again. I have been taking my laundry to the laundromat ever since and it is getting expensive. I dont want to spend another $400 on this machine as it will only break again. What do you recommend?

I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!

We got our Maytag dishwasher in 2011. Weve experienced a lot of the same problems other people have mentioned. Control Panel was the first thing to go out. Now it has a foul odor coming from it and it doesnt get the dishes clean. The heating coil has stopped working and is rusting. This dishwasher is junk and Im very disappointed. I will never buy Maytag again nor any company related to them.

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I would have bought a new dishwasher for that price, but I was already in for almost $200.00. They dont give you prices upfront.

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. I have only had this Maytag dishwasher for 2 years. My control panel has gone crazy! The child lock is blinking and I never touched it. I have tried to clear it by touching the heated dry button for 3 seconds, every once in a while it will clear. It eventually will start blinking again on child lock. I did research and have found out that Im not the only one that is having this problem. I now have to get it fixed.

Fire Hazard - poorly designed with vent at bottom of oven, Warped Drawer and Melted cabinet surface. Nowhere in the install instructions does it say not to mount above drawers. Whirlpool tried to blame dealer. Buyer beware.

Brand new Maytag dishwasher, model #MDB6709AWBO, installed after one year warranty because of extended time needed to complete kitchen. It just never worked. Repairman says control panel faulty. Sears wont help or replace. Sears’ service is extremely poor, over one hour on phone transferred over and over and then told too bad by a Supervisor. After checking this site, I realized Maytag suck. And what to do now that I paid $700++ for fancy dishwasher that doesnt work. By looking at other peoples complaint, it will break down over and over.
