I wish that I had looked up reviews before purchasing my washer 6 months ago! No matter which setting I use, the washer never fills up with enough water!! I have pulled clothes out that havent even gotten wet, due to not enough water in machine! All due to the government regulated water levels on the sensors!!!! So, I had my plumber put in hot and cold water faucets, then he put a short Y hose on, so this way I can add water to the machine.... The only thing is, you have to wait for the machine to fill with what it thinks is enough water to get your load clean.... stop the washer, then add the water you need. But if it reaches a certain point, it will automatically start draining. So you have to watch and make sure you stop adding the water, before reaching that point!

I bought the Maytag Centennial Washer a year ago. I have had nothing but problems. The clothes never get fully wet so you have to wash clothes 2 or 3 times. The lid does not open when running. So you cant put soap after the clothes are damp. I say damp because they dont get wet. Right now the sensing light has been on for 2 hours. I need to catch a flight in the morning and I cannot wash my clothes! My white clothes never get clean. I have to wash 2 or 3 times. Actually 4 time would work better. The water and electric wasted with washing over and over again is nuts. Stay away. Ive warned you!

SO SO disappointed. I thought by purchasing a Maytag washer and dryer that I was purchasing quality products. Not so. After only 3 yrs, the dryer is broken. It needs a new heating element assembly at $139 plus a visit from the technician and installation. In total, it will cost about $300 to repair. The washer is slowly going also. It takes about 2 minutes before it starts. Never used to do that. The technician told me that these do not last and that the computer is likely to go in another couple of years which will cost $400 to repair. I called Maytag to see what they could do for me. They offered the part at 1/2 price but insisted on another diagnosis even though Ive already had one. That along with their labor cost was going to cost more than anyone else. So no more Maytag products for me.

We bought MDB7759AWB Maytag dishwasher in 2011. It worked decently until now when it stopped delivering water to the upper rack. The cleaning quality on the lower rack also dropped significantly although it might be due to the lack of water delivery to the upper rack. Apparently there is something wrong with the internal pump. The Maytag service offered a repair for $300+ which I rejected because this is a ridiculous cost and I would rather buy a different dishwasher. My conclusion is that if you buy Maytag dishwasher you need to factor about $300+ for the repair(s) in 5 years as apparently they do when they sell you this product. Anyway, even though Maytag was a decent brand a long time ago (probably in the past century), it is not reliable anymore. It does not mean it has to be much worse than many others but if you are looking for something better than those others I would not recommend Maytag.

We have owned a number of dishwashers, some cost a great deal and some were inexpensive. Our current dishwasher is a Maytag and it has proven itself to be the best dishwasher we have ever owned, not only is it quiet, it cost less to operate and cleans all dishes and utensils excellently.

I bought a Maytag Bravo Series 300 washer and dryer for $2,000. The dryer is fine, so far, but the washer is dead. I have not received any answers from Maytag and the product is already outside of its warranty. I only had it for two years.

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. We have experienced all the same complaints. Loud noise, door lock not working, not enough water in the drum to wash clothes, and the bearings going out and it doesnt work. NEVER will we buy a MAYTAG again. To the scrap yard I go today. Thanks MAYTAG for wasting my money. Thanks LOWES for recommending this garbage.

I purchased a matching set Maytag washer & dryer June 2013. Sept 2013 the drum went out - 4 weeks for that repair. March 2014 the electric panel went out. Took about 10 phone calls with hold waits of 30 to 70 minutes and 4 months, to find out the replacement part is no longer available and the washer is discontinued. To get a new matching set, I had to pay for a new dryer and they will give me a free washer. I have to give both washer and dryer back - I paid for 2 dryers. 6 month later and more phone calls, no washer and no one will return my calls. The dryer I paid for is at the appliance store waiting on the new washer. We consumers have nowhere to go. I have heard so many similar situations. Where are we to go? Who are we to call?

I bought two sets of Maytag washer and dryer. We have had them for less than a year and the tubs had to be replaced out of both of them. Now, its less than six months later and they are doing the same thing, so the tubs have to be replaced again. What kind of equipment are you making? This is just an outrage. You are scamming people to buy your products by your so called advertising and rep. Well, this is false advertising on your part. I will never buy another Maytag anything or Whirlpool either. I also see there are a lot of others having the same thing being done to them. I would be ashamed to even have these products to sell. Shame on you. Scammer.

Maytag, you left me disillusioned and disappointed. I used to believe you, trust you. How am I going to feed my kids without a fridge? I bought our side-by-side French door refrigerator a few years ago and even bought the extended warranty (which no longer is in effect, unfortunately). Yesterday, the refrigerator failed, We called a small local repair person who could be at my home in a couple of hours. He listened and said my compressor was out, a leak was probably in there too, and that it would cost about 900 dollars or more to repair. When I called Maytag to see what they thought, they said that because I called a non-Maytag assigned repair person (even though this small-business repair guy didnt even take apart the refrigerator), I could no longer get their repair plus one year warranty offer which runs 400 dollars. But there is nothing I see on their warranty page that says this. Here I was trying to help our local economy by calling a small mom-and-pop repair person who is known in our town and has a good reputation, but I guess that by doing that minor well-intentioned act, it goes against Maytag corporate policy. Wow, how foolish do I feel now? I feel ashamed to admit this, but I actually started crying when I was on the phone with their customer help rep and asked, Isnt there something that can be done? I was thinking to myself that two months after Christmas with three kids is a tough time to replace a 1300-dollar refrigerator. I offered to pay the 400 dollars to get the refrigerator fixed by a sanctioned Maytag official with their warranty, but that I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to call anyone else besides Maytag if my appliances broke down. I would have never called our small local guy if I had known that Maytag corporate had such a policy. She said that no, there was nothing that she could do, and that is what happens to customers who call a non-Maytag assigned repair person. I guess when this happens to your fridge, you ask your neighbors if they can keep some milk, lunch meat and cheese for you, at least until you can save up for another fridge. Thank goodness that dried pasta and Ragu sauce dont have to be refrigerated. There are also cans of peas and corn and dry cereal, so it should be okay.I cant express how absolutely disappointed I am with myself and with my purchase, and how this has soured me on everything Maytag. I feel like an idiot. Can you believe that I had actually scrimped and saved up for months to buy this Maytag refrigerator and the extended warranty (hah, just to be safe)? I had bought it because I thought Maytag was a reputable company and because it was supposed to help the environment with its energy saving technology. But dont you think that a $1300 refrigerator should last more than 7 years (Believe it or not, this newer Maytag fridge was replacing a 20-year-old fridge that I gave to my cousins and which is still running to this day!)? How awful it must be for her if that is all that she can offer to the desperate people who look to her for guidance! I actually felt sorry for her after I hung up the phone. It must be terrible to know that the company that you work for is probably mistreating its customers and all that you can offer is an Im sorry. I wonder how often someone says a rosary for her and her workers taking on those endless calls for help. How often does she cry herself to sleep after a day of that?I really dont like complaining online and I rarely do it, but this experience was just so awful and hopeless that I feel I had to say something to save other people pain and money. I hope that everyone learns from my miserable Maytag mistakes and please pass on my experiences to all of your friends and family. Those big tax refund checks will be coming soon, and I know that a lot of people upgrade their appliances with that money. Please, please think twice before you buy anything Maytag. Bravo XL washer and dryer - I had the washer approx 2 months before it leaked water all over the laundry room. The company replaced the washer after two weeks. Now the dryer has gone out after two years. If it cost me the amount stated by other consumers I wont be fixing it.

Dishwasher touch pad is gone again... 2nd time in 3 yrs. Last one cost us 265.00. We are senior and thought these appliances would outlast us. We only use it about twice a week. Our freezer door tracks and door needed to be replace 6 mo after purchase. WE lost all the food that had defrosted. Our oven coil burned out already also... that was expensive to replace. Only thing that we have not had to repair (knocking on wood) is the microwave. STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG, FOLKS!!

Bought the pair of Maytags on sale at Lowes 6 years ago. They are commercial grade and wash everything. Have had no issues - works every time. It took a while to get used to not have an agitator but now it seems natural. Would buy again.

Same issue as everyone else. After about 15 months the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher model#MDBH979SAM1 has malfunctioned. First it would only let me choose the rinse option but now all the lights are turning on and the dishwasher will not stop washing but yet the dishes are still dirty. I called Maytag and they quoted me 249.00 to fix the issue. But if its a common problem with this make and model why do I have to pay to replace the panel. They should recall this model or replace the panel with an updated one that wont have the same issues! I cant imagine paying 249.99 every year to replace this panel that seems to malfunction no matter what you do!!! I paid around 550.00 at the home Depot for this dishwasher! It did not even last me two years!!! I want a lawsuit filed against this company and I want my money back or my dishwasher replaced with one that works and wont have the same issues!!!

Like everyone else got that French door fridge and was also duped on that 1 yr warranty - a 95 dollar repair visit for a 485 repair job on a 1200 dollar purchase. Shame on them. Im gonna fix my new floor and replace that frozen bottom, leaking on the left, non-working ice maker 2 yr old refrigerator. Very disappointed with the whole thing and sorry for all of our losses.

2016 model washer. Bought a Maytag in 2016. Replaced in 2020. Problems: Spin cycle extremely noisy, have to close the door to utility room to stay in the house. Leaks a lot during wash cycle. Getting the lock to release takes awhile, sometimes I have to unplug it. Makes a grinding noise at times when starting the spin then.

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

I would like to start with, my Mother had always used Maytag washer and dryers. Her machines would last 20 years or more. I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer in 2006, since owning these machines have spent in upwards of $1400 in repairs. Some being flood out of tub, mother board blow out a couple of times as well as various other issues. The biggest problem is the awful smell of our clothes, I must wash clothes multiple times to try and remove these smells. I tried contacting Maytag and they dont want to hear my complaints and push me off to purchasing another washer and dryer. Oh, I will be buying a new washer and dryer it just will not be Maytag. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy another Maytag. This is not the same company my Mother knew and trusted.

I love it. It has a big tub. It has no agitator. It uses a lot less water. Many cycles.perfect machine. I would recommend this to everyone. Also top loading. Would never get another front loader. They arent worth it.

I also purchased a Maytag dishwasher a few years ago. It has never worked that well. We had a repairman come out once to replace the control board but the problem soon returned. Interestingly, we found that if we wait long enough until the control panel is in the mood, the dishwasher works again and the control panel responds to button pushes, until the problem returns.I dont recall what model I purchased but it seems to be irrelevant. From reading the other customer complaints, its quite obvious that all Maytag dishwashers inherently have problems with their control panels and Maytag intends on doing nothing about it. I guess the extra repair costs that their customers have to pay for their defective products brings in some additional revenue to Maytag, so theres no real motivation for them to fix their ** products.

I purchased the Neptune HE pair because they are front loading and can be set on pedestals to raise them to a comfortable working height, plus the brand and reputation are both excellent. I like that the chimes can be adjusted from low to high, or turned off. The front loading washers clean so much better and with a lot less damage to items than washers with center agitators. Looks are secondary, thats for sure. Functions like warm/warm cycles and being able to adjust to whatever load needs to be washed is really most important to me. Any appliances with a good, proven track record of reliability with few repairs is high on my list. Expensive appliances should be made to last and be of durable quality! No cheap plastic or weak-looking welds or components, thank you! Quiet operation and dependable cleaning and drying are top in my book, and this pair has exceeded even my picky expectations in total overall performance. They are 11 years old now and look & function like new! I had one minor repair on the washer at 5 years, and not a single problem since. With front loading washers, its important to keep the door open a little when not in use so that they dont get a musky smell. Ive gotten into the habit of using laundry boosters to help clothes, sheets, and towels smelling fresh longer, and putting a small amount in the washer drum has kept my whole laundry room smelling nice. Purchasing the pedestal drawers to set the washer and dryer on added extra storage to my laundry and its much easier for me to load/unload them at this comfortable height. Im totally spoiled by it now, so when I use someone elses laundry room (when I visit) I am reminded how nice my own setup is.

First we bought the washer and not even a month after it was ruined. In the span of the year that weve had it, it has broken down about three times. Then we bought the matching dryer in August and by the beginning of December it has broken down. Called customer service and they are not coming until January 18. Have me waiting over a month to fix it. Worst brand ever and even worse customer service. Never again will I buy anything from this brand.

For families where people work in gardens, work on vehicles and get just plain dirty doing things anywhere outdoors these agitator-less machines are not for you or me. Ive had mine for two years and I truly dislike it (Model MVWC425BW1). With different products I scrub dirt and grease stains on pants before they are put into the washer, scrub again when they come out of the wash and then scrub and wash again a few more times but I cannot get all the dirt out. I now work more on laundry and harder since I got this machine.This agitator-less machine is designed for people who dont get really dirty - just remove everyday perspiration and household grime. I think this machine was designed by engineers who have never done daily laundry for any length of time and theoretically thought it would clean really dirty clothes. They were really wrong! Having done laundry for 50 years, I now know that an agitator cleans better. It would be nice if other women and I, who have done laundry for years, could be on focus groups about developing new washing machines.

I love the front loading machines. Fabrics dont get beat up like they do with a top loading machine with an agitator. My Maytag front loader doesnt have as many bells and whistles as others, but I love it nonetheless. Reliability was very important to me when I bought it, so I talked to a couple repair men to see if this was one they worked on a lot. When I found out they didnt, I bought it.

I purchased the Maytag MDB7749SBM dishwasher just over 2 years ago. After owning for 1.5 years, the control board malfunctioned. After discussions with Maytag customer service that began in late December 2014, it was finally repaired in February 2015, with the control board being completely replaced. Within just a few months the dishwasher again fails. The first time, it would not stop running. This time, it will not run at all. I called customer service today (August 1, 2015) and they expect me to pay for the repair.It is easy to Google and find multiple review sites that indicate hundreds of consumers have similar problems, but Maytag will not acknowledge any issue, as the customer service rep indicated today (she said her information showed no recalls). Within two years I am now faced with paying $600+ for a dishwasher for a second time. This is terrible customer service on Maytags part. They have lost my business and I am warning consumers on every platform I have.

I have owned this Maytag washer model # MVWC360AW0 since Dec/2013. I do not have a single complaint about this machine. It has worked flawlessly for 5 years and am very happy with it. I just follow common sense maintenance like cleaning it once every month (do a full cycle with just borax & baking soda 1/2 cup each) no clothes of course. Another thing I do is to leave it open after I am done washing so it dries completely before I close the lid. The washer looks and works like new, cant be happier...

Failed after only 13 months with light use. I have a Whirlpool extended warranty which I had to fight to get them to honor. Then someone came to fix my washer and needed part was ordered, but part isnt available and company wont tell me when it will be. I have received 6 part availability dates so far. Whirlpool wont help. Over two months now without a washer. Ive asked them to replace machine or give me my money back, but they refused. The Whirlpool Extended Warranty group doesnt answer their phones, was put on hold for a long period.

CONSUMER BEWARE: Maytag is the WORST corporation to deal with. We have purchased a Maytag range from them recently. Unfortunately we have had 4 appliances delivered to us damaged from Maytag. The fourth time around we finally got a supervisor on the line. In order to expedite the situation. And the supervisor (Frank) refused to expedite or even call to try and move up the 5th delivery date. All he talked about was Maytag company policies to us. To make a long story short and I do mean long. Buyers beware. Maytag DOES NOT HOLD THEMSELVES ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING. Once the appliance leaves their facility they are not responsible for it. Hate my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer. It takes well over an hour per load. Clothes come out very wrinkled, and my knits get holes very quickly. Just bought a washer and my clothes are always left with dust and dirt on them after washing. Called Maytag, they sent a technician over, but he found nothing wrong. Company refuses to do anything about it, including exchanging it for a different model, since weve had it for more than a month. I am extremely dissatisfied since I just lost over a grand on a washer that doesnt actually wash my clothes.

Maytag Dryer- Bravos XL - Waiting for my third service call since purchasing my dryer less than 2 months ago. After 2 service calls the repairman found a piece of the mold that should have been removed at the factory causing problems. Now, my dryer made a weird noise, sparks flew and it no longer works. After calling the seller and the manufacturer requesting a replacement, they feel it should be repaired (again).

The pulley on the dryer vent keeps falling off due to poor design. We had a repairman fix the problem under warranty, but the dryer was purchased in 2010 and this is the third time it has fallen off. I have taken the dryer apart and repaired it myself, as I am quite capable, but I called Maytag Customer Service to see if there is something else I should do or replace. They told me they never heard of the problem and they would recommend a service man repair it, which would cost me money and It wasnt needed. No updated part was recommended, or any other help at all, for that matter. I am very unhappy with the Maytag products and will never buy anything again.

Bravos 4.3 High Efficiency Washer - The worst washer ever. I recently returned from burying my step-mother. She actually used the same washer and dryer, by Maytag, for over 50 years. Those days are gone forever. This is my second set of Maytags in ten years. The first literally stopped working just after the first year warranty ran out. I still have them inside my pantry, like a set of anchors. Notwithstanding that, I thought, Maytag was a good brand, it must have just been the style of machines, so I purchased these in January. After over six months of usage, I am amazed at how many times I have to wash a single load of clothing to get the items clean. Who cares if the machine saves water? What was wrong with having an agitator? I literally have to remove freshly laundered clothing, turn it over and run the wash again to get the top of the laundry clean. I have had a blanket finish for the fourth time to get it clean, only to have to hang it outside because it is so full of water, the weight keeps it from spinning properly. And why would you remove a timer feature which permits very busy, working people, to wash their items while they are on the way home or in the middle of the night so that there is no waiting to pop the clothes in the dryer? None of the cycles takes less than 80 minutes to complete. Who has 80 minutes to wait on the washer to do its job? I am so upset about the amount of money I spent on all of these machines. Just think, I could have brought the over 50 years old set home from my step-mothers and had a washer and dryer do what they were supposed to do -- clean the clothes.

The way the outlet line and pump are set up, the Maytag Bravos does not remove all water from the bottom leaving about 2-3 inches. Even following the monthly cleaning and care has not stopped the inside of the tub from producing MOLD. When I contact Maytag there was nothing they could do about this problem. At this point my washer is only a few years old. I attempted to clean it myself but the drum would not break free. My options are, deal with the smell of mold and mildew, Pay Maytag $250 to come out and clean it (this would need to be done every 1-2 years) or buy a new washer. NOTE: I paid about $550 for this one. I have run a few clean cycles with bleach, but I think at this point the mold has embedded itself into the plastic tub.

The washer makes holes in my shirts. Odors like perfumes are still on the shirts when they come out. Does not wash great. The dryer is good but does not take out cat hair. My old machine washed a lot better than this new one. I have mold in where you dispense the cleaning product and the way it is made I cannot clean it. I am so disappointed with this product.

I have Maytag Model MGT8885XS03 Gas Range. I bought it in 2014. The surface burner valves, which regulate the gas flow, are a bad design. One valve got stuck and needed replacement within warranty. Then another valve got stuck about a year ago and the third one got stuck about a month ago. I am going to replace these two valves now. My friend, who is helping me replace, has similar gas range. He also needs to replace a valve. His range is about a year old.

I just started searching the web for information on this item due to the problem I am having. My Neptune Front Loader Model MAH55FLBWW washer makes horrible noises when on spin cycle, and is out of alignment so that the hard plastic bit around the opening is being scraped off. Some of my more delicate items have been ruined or damaged due to this. I bought the Neptune washer/dryer set with stands probably 10 years ago from Home Depot. I am sure the warranty has long since expired, and I have not contacted anyone about possible repairs. At this time, I am not financially able to do much about this. I have never had much of an issue about mold, no issues at all with the dryer, and no motherboards needing to be replaced. From reading what others have had to deal with on this site, I consider myself lucky.

We purchased a washer and dryer two years ago. The washer got louder and louder until we realized something was wrong and we called to get it fixed. Luckily, that was within the time of the warranty. The noise, however, began getting louder and louder within a very short time. Maytag refused to fix it again. Now, the washer sounds like a jet engine and wont drain the water at all.

I purchased a Maytag Front-Loading Washing machine. It was purchased on 11/30/15. Approximately this January, 2017 the spin cycle stopped getting all the water out of the laundry. Towels came out wet, shirts came out wet and I tried washing a small bathroom rug that came out of the washer dripping with water. My husband called Maytag to tell them about this issue. They told him I didnt know how to load the washer machine. Wow, I have only been using washing machines for 45 years and now I dont know how to load a machine. Then they said they will send him a video to watch on how to load a washing machine. I watched it. I wasnt doing anything incorrectly. (Maybe someone should send them a video on how to build a proper washing machine.) I previously had a Maytag Neptune machine that lasted twenty years until there was a class action suit against the machine. The clothes came out fine from that machine. I just purchased an Electrolux front loader that works beautifully. Now I have a Maytag machine that is nothing but a piece of junk in my opinion. It cost $824.21. Like so many other people reviewing Maytag refrigerators with bottom freezers, I am dealing with water on the floor. At 64+, I am not eager to tackle the problem as a DIY project. Once of defrosting and cleaning up was enough. I love the looks of my 2 yr old $2000 4 door fridge/freezer but hate the issues. I guess Maytag is going to ignore all of us. When someone finds a reliable company, sing it from the rooftops.

The control panel acts just like the other reviews on here. The cancel light stays on. If I close the door, the washer automatically starts up again. It is unusable and it costs too much to have it repaired. First and last Maytag product for me.

I love my dishwasher. The only hold back is similar to what I hear about all others and that is that it takes a long time. I love that is it quiet, has lots of room and is easy to use.

Under no circumstances should anyone buy an MMV4205DE or maybe any Maytag microwave. These units contain defective door switches and will fail within a year rendering the unit useless. The engineer that got the bright idea to protect us from starting the microwave without opening and closing the door along with the engineer that designed the defective switch scheme should be fired immediately.I purchased the unit March 2016 to replace a 10-year-old Maytag that had a failed magnetron, no problems ever with the door switches! This unit started to act up in Dec 2016 with the fatal open/close door problem, I am an EE so I opened the unit and checked the switches and found they were defective, replaced both for $80 and 6 months later the problem is back. I am buying another brand as I dont have time to deal with the problems with this unit. I now have the old white 15-year-old unit that I replaced years ago sitting on the counter to use while another unit is on order. Unit is heading for the landfill next month. Never buy a Maytag microwave, they all have the same problems!!!

I mistakenly purchased the Bravo XL top load washer. I only wish I could give it a zero rating. I have only tried to wash 3 loads of clothes. It is almost beyond belief that anyone could possibly think this could clean anything. My husband actually watched it “work”, and insists I call Maytag because they must have forgot a part! It does nothing but crumple/wad the middle items together and rub them...and only them...together. There is no movement of the outer items until it spins. Maybe Maytag should enlist people who actually do laundry to “test” the items they put their brand on. I know the government and the energy rules have added to the complex problem of buying something as simple as a washing machine...but this piece of junk is almost laughable to watch as it destroys your laundry. I’m almost embarrassed to let anyone know I bought it. Thankfully, I have 30 days in which to return it.

Maytag Quiet Series 200 only 1.2 years old: I moved into my home about 2 months ago and the touch panel on the dishwasher, which is of course just past the warranty expiration date, has progressively gotten worse until now, doesnt work at all. I have tried calling Maytag many times on numerous occasions, who apparently only has one phone line because its ALWAYS busy. The cost for the touch panel on this dishwasher (model# MDBH945AWS3) is $150 which isnt even worth fixing since I can go to Lowes and buy a new FRIGIDAIRE for $300. The problem is the circuitry from the touch panel to the control board gets too much moisture in it with no protection around it. If I were them, I would find a way to make all these parts separate so regular people, like you and I, would be able to buy parts a lot more cheaply and repair these items ourselves. However, since the front panel and the circuitry attached to it is all one cohesive unit that cant be taken apart from one another, nearly at all without ruining it, then I might have been posting a different review here. However, that is not the case. IF I could actually get in touch with Maytag, I would ask why on earth isnt this a recalled item and when they are shipping me a new part since it seems everyone is having the same issue with their Maytag dishwasher, no matter what series it is. I do not plan on buying a Maytag appliance in the future. I do plan on buying a Frigidaire since the rest of my appliances (stove, fridge and overhead microwave) work perfectly without any issues whatsoever.

We currently have had our Maytag washing machine for approximately 15 years. The first thing we noticed was how user friendly it was. Also, the options that came with our washing machine met all of our needs. The second thing that we were excited about was how quiet it was. Our previous washing machine could be heard at the back of the house and was constantly out of balance. The third thing we noticed was how much cleaner our clothes were. Our clothes smelled better and had less wear thus saving us money. Speaking of which, the machine is an energy saver. One of the most significant attributes I can attest to is how reliable it is. There has never been an issue that required repair services. I am sure our Maytag will be in service for years to come. c

I went to Home Depot in Kennesaw, Ga to purchase new W&D combo. I had found what I wanted but when the sales went to complete my order, the units I selected werent available. She talked me into the Maytag Bravo, but I specifically stated I needed a large tub because I wash a lot of towels and sheets. Well this expensive piece of shhh, doesnt even get all the items wet. Ive had to lift the lift and physically flip items in tub, especially with towels and sheets. Also, the washer is loud, did I say loud, I mean freaking loud. The dryer is fine, but I bought combo for a reason... Pricetag $1200.00 with my discount. I waited a week for delivery, I am mad as hell. Whats point of having large tub, when you barely get enough water. Luckily I found out now, so I can have them pick this CRAP UP, Do not buy. Theyre cute looking, but washer does not get your clothes clean.

It leaves white stuff all over everything. You have to rewash or rinse black clothes at least twice. We have to clean the washer frequently or the clothes smell like mildew. I chose Maytag because I thought they were the best. Apparently, I was wrong and it was a mistake buying this.

I purchased a set of Bravos 4 months ago and what a bad purchase! I wish I would have researched here first. Being environmentally concerned, I bought it because it was supposed to be high efficiency and low water usage. My clothes are being destroyed by this machine. They come out in a massive tangled ball, covered in ink and animal hair (after a wash or two, they are completely embedded into the fibers). Sometimes there are dry spots after I take a load out of the washing machine. No idea how that could happen. It torn my favorite sweater, ripped sheets, bore a hole in a towel, ripped pillows, and DOESNT EVEN CLEAN! I have to wash my clothes twice MANY times to get the dirt out which doesnt bode well for energy efficiency. Im calling them again today to try and get them returned for advertising that they will save me money. Not even close! They are a rip off! I gave my 35 year old set away and wish I had it back! Maytag is JUNK!!!

The washer 4 years ago we had the control panel replaced at our expense. Now, control panel is going out again. Also this summer I took the dryer apart to snug up some screws that had come lose, that were scraping the inside as the dry ran. I own a range and a dishwasher Maytag brand but will not buy another Maytag unit, even if they are built by my union brothers and sisters.

Maytag HE Top Loader Washing Machine: I have regretted buying this piece of garbage since my first wash. This washing machine is complete waste of money and a piece of garbage. The Auto Sensing doesnt work and doesnt cover the clothes with enough water. When the deep water wash is chosen the clothes just float around but the agitator doesnt get them clean. Dont waste your money hoping it will work, because it wont. Maytag used to signify quality that is no longer the case. I am going to also give a bad review to the place I purchased this piece of garbage because all stores need to discontinue selling this junk.

I purchased a Maytag gas dryer in November 2011. This is January 2012. I have got to use mine maybe 2 weeks altogether since I had it. It is to be repaired for the 4th time tomorrow. In the meantime, I have to go to the laundry mat to dry clothes, Maytag refuses to do anything about this. They say they are helping me by getting it repaired each time it breaks down. I want a new dryer. The retailer I bought it from will not stand behind this product either. You see these commercials on TV where the Maytag guy is sitting back and waiting on a call. Thats a bunch of ***! I have never purchased a product from anyone that they would not stand behind it especially for the 4th time in two months. I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell everyone that I know not to buy one either.

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

Front load washer is four years old. Approximately two years after owning the washing machine it started burning and ripping our clothes. Maytag sent someone out to repair at no cost. The problem stopped. However, approximately two years later it is happening all over again. Thus, there is either a deficiency in the Maytag product or the repair has failed. Maytag will only repair at our cost. True, the washer is four years old but the same problem keeps happening. Plus, that is not a long time in the life of a washing machine. The customer should not be held responsible for a recurring problem with their product. The front load washer and dryer were very expensive. We will NEVER buy Maytag and we will continue to share our disappointment to whoever will listen. It is shameful that Maytag says they stand by their product but when its put to the test Maytag completely fail. Double thumbs down for Maytag and customer service!!!

I innocently purchased cash from BrandsMart a Maytag French refrigerator MF12665XEM 7, serial #K22311026 in 06/30/2012 in Boca Raton, FL. I assumed I had bought the last fridge I would ever need because it was supposed to be a product that never needs servicing, according to the wide advertising of the bored Maytag repairmen. So I did not buy a warranty. This fridge is completely useless 3.5 years later and I do not have a leg to stand on, Maytag assures me. The only part thats still working is the compressor, which is also the only part that is warranted! Coincidence? What do you think? I cannot afford to replace it. Neither can I afford to fix it.It started with water from the lower freezer pouring out on the kitchen floor. The next few days the cooling element in the upper fridge went, followed by the inability of the fridge to make ice. Then the freezer at the bottom went completely. This appliance was well cared for by me, personally, ever since I bought it. In a week, it was totally gone (with the exception of the compressor). It has been inspected by accredited appliance repairmen who have told me it is gone! Gone? $2200 gone? I am a widow living on SS, now with no fridge. I bought this appliance with what I made from the sale of my house, when they couldnt give them away in 2012. I need a fridge! This is South Florida and temps even now are in the 90s F. This washer is the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. From day 1 it never cleaned my clothing. It was too much money to call a repairman so I have lived with it since October 13, 2013 and I have finally been able to buy a new washer this week. My husband would come home from work and ask me why I put dirty clothing in his drawers, he said his clothes stunk and were stained. This washer just did not clean the clothing. It didnt use water. I cannot say how many times I would open it after washing a load and the clothes were dry. It saved water alright, it didnt use any and it was installed properly. If you are going to purchase a Maytag Centennial, run. Dont walk. Run, fly, look the other way, just dont buy this HUNK OF JUNK! I cant even sell it, so we will sell it on eBay for parts just to recoup some of our hard earned money! MAYTAG YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!

The AquaLift Self-Cleaning is a very poor substitute for a normal high temperature Oven-Range. It gives as much work as an oven without any self-cleaning, as it does nothing to the sidewalls or the door. The minimum temperature is 170 Fahrenheit, too high to rise a dough.

We purchased this Maytag about ten years ago. We had an old brown one that had to be 25 yrs old and still going. This piece of junk has had two compressors; the ice machine hasnt worked in a year, and now it just went out again (third time weve lost hundreds in food)!!!! About the same time we bought a Woods freezer on the cheap, this freezer sits in the laundry room crap piled on it and around it and never have had a problem. Maytag = $2500.00 boat anchor.

After only 4 years, this washer stopped spinning. Called Maytag support (Ha! the ads show the Maytag repairman sitting by a non-ringing phone) I had to wait 20 mins to get through. Only after paying for a service call would they be able to determine if this problem was motor-related. In reading reviews (which in hindsight I wish I would have done prior to purchasing) this is a common problem and is related to bearings going bad. Pay for service call vs buying a non-Maytag product -- will set this out by the curb and buy a different brand.

We are in the process of replacing the 2nd control board in the past 2 years (have has this dishwasher for 3 yrs) on our Maytag dishwasher model MD87749AWW1. The lights on the panel completely quit working mid cycle. At $175 per replacement, we are into repairs for half of what we paid for the dishwasher. Bought Maytag because it is made in the USA but found out that a majority of the parts are imported from China? Very disappointing.

OK, Im at wits end. I bought a very expensive Maytag Gemini range four years ago. Since then, I have replaced 10 burner valves. There are only five of them. They have each been replaced twice, and tonight yet another has broken. This time it is broken in the ON position, which means I cant have the range on without that burner on. It means unplugging it when not in use and lighting the burner with a match when I re-plug the stove, until I get it fixed. I had just replaced valve number 10 on Tuesday, and had a fully working range for only 5 days. These valves are under warranty but the labor is not, and it is always close to $200 to have someone come out to replace them. I cant afford a new stove and I cant afford to keep having these defective valves replace.

French Door Maytag MFI2569VEW10 faulty in many ways. We bought our refrigerator 7 years ago. After 2 years the freezer door handle fell off; after 4 years the right front door gasket began to tear (normal usage); after 7 years, it no longer dispenses ice or water. We now have mildew/mold growing around the edges of the door because there is no longer a good seal. Constant cleaning. Additionally, we are spending more $ to keep the refrigerator at the proper temperature because the seal is broken. To repair these items is almost $700 including shipping and tax. This does not include the cost of labor. So after 7 short years, we have a hunk of junk that does not work properly. I am shocked that Maytag sells such an inferior product and we are left holding the bag. Do not buy Maytag. Additionally, our Maytag microwave broke after 5 years. DO NOT BUY!!! Buyer beware!

Had a brand new Maytag MDB4949 dishwasher installed on 10/20/15. Noticed an acrid smell of burning plastic coming from the pull handle. After going to the reviews I see a pattern of shorting control panel boards melting the ribbon cable. Having repaired Xerox copy machines for 17 years, I recognized the smell of an electronics short and melting plastic. There are 600+ complaints for the same thing. Going to call the store we purchased it from and will escalate from there.

The dishwasher is only one and a half years old and like many others are having trouble with the control panel. The model is MDB89495AWO which cost nearly $800. The dishwasher does not shutdown after an operating cycle. On contacting Maytag with the symptoms they advised that they have never heard of a similar problem. On reading the comments/experience of other Maytag owners I am undecided whether to scrap this unit and buy another make!

I just saw that there had been a class action lawsuit settled in 2005 for the Maytag Neptune front load washer and I was never notified as an owner! I have this crummy product and have been living with it for more than 10 years! I just scheduled a repairman to replace the moldy gasket (for the second time) and the noisy pump, and a latch that has to be slammed for a sum of $438. What a crock. I was told this was a top of the line model when I purchased it for $999. Ive never had such a piece of junk before in my life. I run loads of bleach weekly to control the mildew.

Purchased Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM3 on March 19, 2014 and on June 10, 2017 the washer would not go through the cycles properly. So I got on the internet to check out the problem. Maytag has very flimsy wiring circuit on the back of the control panel that rusts out due to being close to high-temperature water. Obviously a design flaw. The only way to fix it is to replace the control panel for $150 dollars with another flawed part. Do not buy Maytag dishwasher.

This washer is only two years old and does the wash for 2 people. The control board has broken down and the lid lock did too. Of course the warranty had just expired, so there is no help from the maker, Whirlpool. Save yourself a big loss and dont buy these brands. Mine is going to the dump where it belongs. Thats $500 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and get a Speed Queen.

What was shown on tv and the way it looked in home depot were much different when I got it home. The refrig. Is big as a bo car on the outside but inside nothing.

Our refrigerator is 2 years old and still under warranty. The ice maker had to be replaced. Now the water leaks on the floor. The deli drawer cover broke and when you get ice out of the ice dispenser it flies all over and goes on the floor. Our dealer has been fairly helpful.

I purchased my Maytag Refrigerator in Feb 2013. It is model MFF2558VEW7. It has the French doors w/ freezer at the bottom. This past week, I lost everything in the freezer. I call the Home Depot where I purchased it and they said that I have to call Maytag. I did and they sent a repairman out. It needed a compressor. After only 8 months, the compressor goes out? Why should this fridge be repaired and I not be given a new one? With all the problems with the Maytag, there needs to be one big class action filed. I asked for a loaner because it would take up to five work days for them to order the part. The answer was, We do not provide loaners.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in December 2019. The machine started badly malfunctioning in November 2020. By the time I called for service, they told me the 12-month warranty had expired and I needed a new control board put in for $529! I called Maytag and they agreed to replace the board free of charge, but I had to pay $120 for the service call. They replaced the board, and the new board is faulty. The machine will not fill with water, it wont lock, and now it wont even start. This machine is a LEMON!Now they are saying the soonest they can get a tech out is 1/29/21. Meanwhile, I have a mountain of laundry piling up in my laundry room because I havent had a working washing machine for almost a month. I called to complain and demanded either a refund or a new machine--they will do neither. I used to buy Maytag because of the name, dependability, and customer service. No wonder they were bought by Whirlpool. I WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG OR WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. I should have looked at all the 1-star ratings online. BUYER BEWARE!

I have had the Maytag Bravos washer since November 2010. This washer does not clean clothes. They are never even submerged in water. Had I known this, I would never have purchased it. The salesman at Sears surely didnt mention it. I remember being disappointed at the fact that there wasnt a washer in the place with an agitator. I am disgusted with the washer and the company. I realized that it has been over 12 months since we purchased it, but most people do not feel the need to investigate what is going on under the lid of their washer. I unfortunately assumed that the washer was going to wash! Silly me. No, it does a little spin spin and a little spritz of water (literally, thats it) and at the end, you are left with funk concentrated in the creases of your twisted up, stinky clothes. No agitator plus no water equals no clean! The smell is awful. Someone else described it best - a mildewy basement.Anyone else who is claiming that their clothes do not stink with this machine are surely being deceived by strong perfumes in their detergent and fabric softener. To get a true idea of what their clothes really smell like, they should wash a few times with a scoop of borax and no fabric softener. Then tell us how they smell. I am convinced that the entire line of HE washers is a sophisticated line of crap! They use such small amounts of detergent because that little bit of water going into it will not get any more soap out, much less sweat, dirt and lots of other nasty stuff. This may not be a big deal to other people, but it is huge to me. We have a small homestead. Our clothes get dirty. We spent several hundred dollars of hard earned money on a name we trusted and they do not care.Every load, every day, I am reminded of this fact and it infuriates me. Im not typically one to write in complaints, but as an American citizen where there is a free market (somewhat), I have an obligation. If a product is really good, the makers deserve my praise. Likewise, if the product is really bad, the makers (and refuses to compensate in any way) deserve my complaint, as do my hardworking fellow Americans shopping around for a new washer. Stay away from Maytag and if at all possible, stay away from HE machines. It is so true that they dont make them like they used to.PS: Maytag tried to blame this issue on government regulation when I called. Im sick of this passing the buck. I am fully aware of the chokehold government regulations have on business, but they only hurt small business. To act as if this is not a partnership between the government and big business (like Maytag) only adds insult to injury. Take a look at the money spent lobbying by this company. Disgusting. The good news is, any success they currently enjoy will not last.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer from Home Depot in August of 2011. Today it caught on fire (Sept, 2014). Had problems with it from the start. Some of the issues include the washing machine constantly getting off balance even with small loads, not completely draining the water from clothes resulting in having to run additional spin and drain cycles, and a bad odor coming from the water that stays on the clothes (we even called a plumber thinking it was something with our plumbing). Well today was the best. I started a small load (one twin flat sheet and a pillow case) and about 10 minutes later I smelled a weird burning odor coming from the laundry room. When I opened the door to the room it was filled with smoke. The washer was the only appliance running, otherwise I would have assumed the dryer was the source of the smoke. When I opened the lid to the washer, smoke started pouring out from around the inside drum of the washer. It smelled like burned rubber and ash. Needless to say, I doubt this washer is worth repairing. We actually have had repairs on it previously (twice in the first year) and its just a piece of junk. Glad I was home when the washer caught on fire. I hate to think what would have happened if I had not been able to unplug it and it continued burning. Do Not Buy This Brand. Definitely do not run this washing machine unless you are home to monitor it. Maytag Bravos is a fire risk!!!

Hello, My recently purchased dishwasher has leaked water within less than half an hour of the fifth time to be used and showed error: F8E4, dishwasher model and SN are: Model: MDB4949SKZ. Serial # : FA3003347. Registered: 09/11/2021, Ive been calling Home Depot who in turn asked the installer to check the connection, and the latter advised and reported its a manufacturer issue. And calling Maytag for several times but no response or action. On-line service scheduling of Maytag is not working!!! And the live chat is not helping, as well. Now my dishwasher is not working since more than two weeks, knowing that it has been installed only a month ago.

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, At first I was skeptical and I once thought that I was the only one whose wife complained about the terrible soap stains and un-rinsed clothes. And finally my rinse and spin cycle stopped spinning and rinsing! However, after reading several reviews and complaints about the famous Bravo X He washer by Maytag and taking into consideration that there are over 650 complaints, making mine # 651. I now find I have lost all skeptical-ability and feel that we all may be comrades in this venture of purchasing the new trademark of the trade-mark Maytag. As almost all of us say our previous experience with Maytag was great. My parents had a Maytag since I was knee-high to a grasshopper and we were a family of eight. First we had the one with the rubber rollers, that was a work of mechanical genius. I even remember getting my arm caught in the rollers. Then my dad bought the spin dry model and that lasted a good 20 years. When I say the Bravo X at Sears it looked like the state of the art washer. However, and unfortunately I will have to agree with all of you. It is a piece of scrap metal and Maytag will not recall or recognize their mistake and make good on a recall or something. The least they should do is give us an old machine that does wash and spin to replace the new one that is less than 2 years old and does not work. I sure hope this letter does not fall on blind eyes. Maytag Bravos washer MVWB750WQO frame assembly and cabinet rust - I sent letter of internal and external rust issues to Jeff Fettig (Whirlpool CEO) and received no response. Then, I sent letter a second time with an attached signed receipt. Then, I finally received a call from corporate staff member stating they would replace parts but not labor. Labor costs would cost between $350 - $500.00. This is without the initial service call and diagnosis cost between $100 - $125.00. The determined parts list cost would be $700 - 50% for Whirlpool internal cost + shipping be approximately $425.00. This is more than the cost of a new unit or the value of three-year depreciation value of the existing unit. This does not make any financial sense. Whirlpool should provide a new replacement unit at their costs. It has been three months and with no successful outcome. Also, via web research, there are many complaints about Maytag/Whirlpool and I am not the first in regards to rust issue. Therefore, Whirlpool is attempting to limit their financial exposure by only offering parts that they have to agree upon because the labor costs will not support this additional investment in a three-year unit. It makes more financial sense to purchase new or be offered a replacement unit.

I bought this Maytag oven (MEW 7627HB) to replace a 20-year-old GE double oven. Upon the first use, I found that it has noisy cooling fans which run continuously as soon as it is turned on and, for some time, after it is turned off. These fans make an irritating, loud, whistling noise. The dealer responded to my complaint, pulled the oven out and performed a complete system test. He then called engineers at the Whirlpool factory, who told him that the fans were a recent redesign made because the previous design didnt satisfactorily cool the electronic control circuit and that there was nothing to be done about the noise. After several weeks, the oven, when in use, continues to stink of overheated electronics. I fear it wont last long.Note that my old GE model, which also had electronic controls, didnt run a fan at all unless both ovens had been on for some time or the self-cleaning feature had been on for a while. And it didnt make a loud noise.

It does not completely drain all water out of until. So unless your running the washer every day, you will end up with the most horrible smell coming from standing water. It is very irritating and so fowl smelling.

I hate my new Maytag washer and wish I had never purchased it. Theres no way to control the water level in it, and on sensor mode, the clothes are barely wet and rubbing against each other creating wear. Things come out with soap stains and twisted up so tight that I dont believe water got close enough to the dirt to carry it away. Dont waste your money.

Just replaced a washer that lasted over 7 years thru 3 renters with the Bravos top loading washer. There is nothing efficient about a cycle to take 73 mins to wash 20 articles of clothing (t-shirts, socks and underwear). The machine dont wash the top of the load. Also the deep clean feature isnt deep cleaning. I recorded a video of 20 mins of the machine not washing properly before going into rinse cycle. If this item dont produce refunds of the amount of water wasted RE-WASHING and electricity because it doesnt clean on first wash, then its time for Maytag to pay my utilities. For the money spent on the machine, going to the laundromat every other week with 1 roll of quarters each trip comes to be I can wash for 4 years and will outlast the longevity of the machine before it breaks! Also bulky mode is how you get more water in the machine but will take 63 mins to wash.

I will never buy this product again or anything with the Maytag brand. I purchased my washer less than a year ago and it makes all these awful noises. When called company they would not come fix it. Money wasted.

I bought a brand new Maytag bottom freezer fridge on Aug. 12th, 2012. The main compressor went out on Memorial Day of 2013. I contacted the store I bought it from; they referred me to a local repairman who fixes Maytag. I talked to him and told him the problem along with the make & model of mine. He ended up telling me what exactly the problem was, & there were about 5 people ahead of me with the same fridge, & same problem... all main compressor problems. Check this out. The compressor part is on back order... so now I have no fridge, & Im stuck with this piece of crap, until MAYTAG finds a compressor to ship to the local repairman. - Last Maytag product I will ever own in my lifetime!!!

Maytag has always been my choice with appliances. Ive purchased others and always dissatisfied. This dishwasher has been a trooper and lasted forever. Its been overworked with 4+ children and yet still going strong. I recommend Maytag????

Last year we replaced a Maytag dishwasher which had a faulty control panel after just a few years of light use (There are just the two of us). It was going to cost almost as much to repair it as to buy a new dishwasher, so we opted for an $800 model (MDB8959AWW6) with a control panel across the top of the door. There had been a recall on that first Maytag for the heating element or something, so we decided to put the credit towards a machine that would last us for years, we hoped!We have been in this house for 18 years and the original cheap builder-installed dishwasher lasted for 12 years. In fact, there was nothing wrong with it when we replaced it with the last one. Whatever happened to the lonely Maytag repair man? We did not buy an extended warranty, but I can see now that probably these things are only meant to last the lifetime of the warranty.We are semi-retired and cannot afford to have the dishwasher repaired, so it will be a decoration in the kitchen from on. Never ever will I recommend Maytag to anyone! One bad experience should have been enough, and we probably would not have bought a Maytag again had it not been for the credit we got for the product recall on the last one!

Maytag washer was bought May 2010 with an extended warranty, which expired May 2014. This machine was used by two people with average wash loads. Five months later the machine computer programming didnt work and the machine sounded like a jet taking off. Whirlpool said a one-year warranty would cost $329! This would have been less expensive than a new machine, but I felt I couldnt trust having it repaired. A repairman very familiar with Maytag products said he had three service calls the same day with similar complaints for the Bravos 300 series. He told me the bearings were bad and the cost to fix was not worth the money and this machine should have been recalled. I bought another brand and will not buy Maytag again. When my new machine was delivered, there was grease on the floor from the Maytag.

Good deal, recommended by dealer friend. Front loaders, high efficiency, 12 years or so. Finally needs new bearings on the washer. Replaced electronic board 5 years ago. High repair costs would be the worst which is related to low-quality construction. I expect my next pair to last as long as the last 1. Full size, not stackable but oversized drums. Relatively low water usage, lots of different settings for different loads for washing and drying, automatic water level and wrinkle guard.

We updated our 25 years old dishwasher, which ironically still worked, to a Maytag we bought at a BrandsMart in GA in November 2010. Sixteen months later, the unit just died. The panel would light up, but would not run. We contacted Maytag and were assigned a repairman (The Appliance Guy) who could not come to fix the dishwasher until 5 days later. Once he finally showed up, I was informed by him that the control panel for the dishwasher had two shorts in it and it would be cheaper for me to just buy a new dishwasher because the repair to this one would be $344.44. When I contacted the customer service for Maytag, they offered to let me pay for the repairs and then they would give me a six month service warranty for free. Does that make sense to anyone? I could buy a totally different brand, brand-spanking-new and have a twelve month warranty with a better product. I asked to speak with Cheris boss and got to speak with Aaron, who offered me the same spiel. Heavily scripted, I apologize that you are dissatisfied, but all we can do is give you the service warranty for six months after you pay for the repair. I asked him if he was reading a script and he replied no. Now I know that he had probably repeated these same words twenty times a day. Heres a thought, Maytag claims to be a green company, using less electricity and water, and saving the customers money and yet they are filling up all the landfills with these appliances that are not even five years old. How is that being a green company?You know how when you buy a nice new button-up shirt? The makers of that good quality shirt go ahead and sew an extra button on the inside bottom part of the shirt because they know that theres a chance youll lose a button. Well, Im thinking that Maytag should just start shipping a couple extra control panels in every box of Maytag dishwashers. Crazy idea, right? Okay, so an easier and cheaper way for Maytag to correct the problem is to stop making dishwashers. Go back to the drawing board, make the engineer who designed the control panel wash everyones dishes (as punishment and he can get help from the customer service people because theyre really doing nothing), start building the old design dishwasher that has the old switch and dial, and start respecting their customers. There, problems solved!

We first purchased a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set. We loved them. Had them for 15 years with no problems. When we decided to get a new washer and dryer, we were loyal to the Maytag brand. I was immediately drawn to the Maytag Bravos XL due to the extra large capacity. What a mistake! This washer and dryer pair take more than two hours to complete a single load of laundry. It often takes more than one wash to get clothes clean. If you wash an extra drum large load of laundry, often times there is not enough water and agitation to even get all of the clothes wet. I have a one-year-old boy and a six-year-old boy, their clothes get very dirty. This washer Does not get food off of my one-year-old’s bibs. And my six-year-old’s clothes come out looking as if they haven’t even been washed. What a disappointment! My husband and I are going out today to purchase a new washer and dryer set after having just purchased these Maytags in April last year. What a waste of money! Please include me if a class-action suit it’s taken.

Purchased a Maytag dishwasher in 2009 then had it repaired for a leak in 2010 (just past the 12-month warranty); next another leak in Nov 2013 so purchased another Maytag as repair appliance company said it wasnt worth fixing. Now in Feb 2015 it is leaking Again! So 2 dishwashers and 1 repair in 5 years! Both were purchased from Home Depot. I will Never buy a Maytag product again.

We purchased a Maytag Jet Clean Plus in August of 2013. Within 8 months the control panel stopped working. Though it was replaced by one of their technicians it now after 9 months is broke again. How can this be such a crappy product??? Over 800 dollars for a dishwasher to have to go out twice in less than 2 yrs is just wrong. The company needs to stand behind their products!!! I will never buy Maytag again and will advise anyone looking to not waste their money!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I have written to Whirlpool about complaints with this range and was very dissatisfied with response. The following were complaints on above range: Range does not have a light on it as the past ranges had. It is very much needed. Grates on burner are to high, therefore it takes longer for items in pot to heat up. Type of steel used on range is very thin and tiny, in other words very poor quality. This is what has happened since Whirlpool bought out Maytag. Quality of Steel that Maytag used is no longer since Whirlpool took over their products. This is true of All their Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, and Ranges). All meaning appliances manufactured by Whirlpool.Manual knobs for turning on oven have been replaced by touch screens, these eventually wear out and are very costly to replace. If it works why change it. Drawers on bottom of range used to be larger, now they are narrow and smaller height wise. Residue on base of burner appears quite frequently and has to be cleaned even if no overspills occur. And why cant Whirlpool make quality merchandise as good as Maytag use to make. Regarding the physical appearance of Range it is very attractive in looks, however Looking good and functioning poorly with inadequate materials used in construction of Appliances outweighs benefits of looking good. My wife and I regret not returning this appliance within 90 days of purchase. In the future we will not purchase Whirlpool or any other appliances manufactured by them if that is possible. Washer leaves spots on clothes and massive knots in clothes. The serviceman has been here twice since we bought it and was told to use extra wash option and heavy load wash with fabric softener option as well, and to only use about one tablespoon of detergent. So much for the green option! Results, still washing clothes 2 or 3 times per load then into the dryer. Tried an experiment - washed a pair of my daughters white capris and then washed them at a friends house while water was saved in a separate tub. Holy crap, the dirt in the water. Do not buy this machine. Not even if it is offered to you for free.

I have used Maytag washer and dryer for over 20 yrs. I recently replaced the set we purchased in 1988 because the washer broke down but I have never had a great problem with it either. I do on a average of 3 loads of laundry a week. I measure my detergents, mostly wash on warm or cold and I keep the filters and machines clean. I would buy the same maker should I need to replace them.

Bravos XL Like so many others Ive read, this is a terrible product. Washer constantly goes off on unbalanced load. After 14 months, the plastic tub disintegrated. Maytag tried to sell me the service and extend a warranty for $300 also. Just like all the other reviews. Wow, has Maytag gone downhill.

I purchased this gas range from Home Depot in 2011. From the beginning I had problems with the cooking racks slipping off the oven wall. In some instances hot liquids poured on the oven floor. I had bought a service contract on this product and when I asked that this be repaired I was told that it was not covered as it was a design flaw. The condition has slowly worsened and now I cannot cook anything in the oven for fear of the racks falling down. This is a safety feature and the oven should be replaced my Maytag.

We purchased a bottom freezer refrigerator from the Home Depot in 2013 and I am sorry to say this refrigerator does not deserve any stars. Immediately after the warranty was up our refrigerator started leaking all over the floor. The drain clogged and freezes up on the bottom under the freezer. When it becomes full, it leaks all over my hardwood floor. I have now become a slave to this refrigerator. Each week I have to open the freezer and get down on my hands and knees to break up the ice, scoop it out, toss it in the sink. I have spread the word and I hope anyone who reads this does as well. Never buy a Maytag product because not only do they make defective products, they wont own up to it and recall it.

My Maytag refrigerator, french door freezer on bottom MFT2976AEMOO has had problems since I bought it. It is with the icemaker in the refrigerator door and freezer. My icemaker has been leaking since we have gotten it dripping water into the refrigerator. The freezer now is not working and all my frozen food thawed out. I am so tired of having workmen coming out to try to repair it. They even took the refrigerator back to the shop and had it for 3 weeks and said it was repaired and told me it was working fine. NOT frozen food, again thawed.

This is the worse washing machine ever. Wish Id never have bought it. Clothes come out unclean, washer cleaner cycle doesnt work, water level is almost none, etc etc. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Coming here and seeing 100s of negative reviews and complaints many of which I suffer from as well, just clarifies how bad this machine really is. There has got to be a way to bring a class action lawsuit or arbitrary suit against them. Im pretty confident that there are probably 100s more who are dealing with this shoddy washing machine as we all are.
