This happens to be a commercial one - I dont know why; the landlord bought it. It will not do just 1 or 2 items. I would need this for when I have a very muddy towel from the dog & dont want to put anything else in with it; or with a newly purchased item that I want to wash by itself. It gets stuck on the wash cycle & will not continue. Then I have an item(s) that is soaking wet, which I dont want to put into the dryer. And in the winter, I cant put it outside. I did an online chat about this & was told not to just put one or 2 items in the washer. What??? Im 68 years old; have been doing wash for well over 50 years & have NEVER had this problem. I dont know if this applies to all Maytags since this is the only one Ive ever had, but I would definitely not recommend this product!!!

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

I purchased a matching set Maytag washer & dryer June 2013. Sept 2013 the drum went out - 4 weeks for that repair. March 2014 the electric panel went out. Took about 10 phone calls with hold waits of 30 to 70 minutes and 4 months, to find out the replacement part is no longer available and the washer is discontinued. To get a new matching set, I had to pay for a new dryer and they will give me a free washer. I have to give both washer and dryer back - I paid for 2 dryers. 6 month later and more phone calls, no washer and no one will return my calls. The dryer I paid for is at the appliance store waiting on the new washer. We consumers have nowhere to go. I have heard so many similar situations. Where are we to go? Who are we to call?

1998 MAH4000 - I got this unit (used) in 2004 for $400, and it has pretty much kinda been a lemon ever since. I have babied it through until now, though it had the wax motor repaired twice (Im glad I bought an extended warranty from Maytag, but that added $400). Now the motor control has gone out. I like the concept of the front-loader, but my folks Maytags (and my grandparents) have run for 30+ years without any of the hassles Ive had.Granted, I like bleach, so the mold thing has been less of an issue for me, but wow. I have to say I wont ever purchase another Maytag appliance again. Im about to drop the $185 for a new motor (the motor control board went out, and apparently I need to get the new motor and control). Im pretty sure I lost a phase based on the burnt components on the board. Im glad I know a bit about electronics, or else Id really have been in for some money. Boo on this model!!

I have a Maytag MFI2665XEW6. Im getting water on the floor by the bottom draw. It looks like the coil in the back is freezing up and then melting down to the bottom of the freezer and out to the floor. I dont know how to lower the temp on the door panel.

Bought brand new coin op washer and dryer. Washer had problem from day one. Took in for repair. Maytag warranty covered parts, no labor. Cost me $100.00 on brand new $900.00 washer. Last money they will ever see from me.

When I bought Maytag Neptune top-load washer, it lasted three months. I had to have the rockers replaced. Three months later, the lock switches went bad. Six months later, the main circuit board went out. Thank God it was under warranty. Ive had this ** washer four years and it broke down once again. I dont have any warranty and the money. They want to fix it. Im going to go out and buy something else. Piece of junk. It makes no sense. And when the first situation arose, I did ask if it had been recalled and of course, they said no.

Maytag 2000 front loading washer - This unit was purchased in Feb 2013 along with the matching dryer. From the onset it has presented with the problem of trapping small objects such as socks, underwear and other small loose objects in the rubber seal at the front of the door leaving them soaking wet and needed to be wrung out by hand. There is not any way to run a second spin only to wring out the clothes without doing an entire wash or rinse again rendering the efficiency void. I have been able to buy a mesh bag to put smaller items in for washing with the regular laundry load. However, this is not why I purchased the washer and I would strongly recommend to others not to buy this product. Very disappointed. I thought the Maytag brand was reliable. Never again will I buy any of their products.

Our new Maytag Bravos XL machine quit just 43 days after being purchased. Purchased from Lowes, but since it was past 30 days since purchase date, Lowes could not do anything to help. Lowes directed us to an appliance repair service that they use. We had to wait another 3 days for repairman to come out to look at the machine... only to find out that a drain pump would need to be replaced, along w/ the diagnostics board since it was not working either. Parts would be ordered & were expected to arrive 3-4 days later. It has been a week later & the parts still have not been shipped out by Whirlpool. We are now on almost 2.5 weeks w/o a washing machine. I usually research & read customer reviews before making a major purchase. However, we had to quickly get another washing machine & dryer, so felt like Maytag was a SAFE choice since I had Maytag several years back. (That Maytag was your basic washing machine w/o the bells & whistles before machines had bells & whistles.) Will I purchase another Maytag again after this occurrence? Probably not. In fact, I am so aggravated & frustrated at this point, that I would love to just throw the machine out in the middle of the street!

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. So now I am trying to figure out what I can do but afraid I am going to replace it. Would Not recommend this product. Bravos XL MCT MVWB835DW1.

Failed after only 13 months with light use. I have a Whirlpool extended warranty which I had to fight to get them to honor. Then someone came to fix my washer and needed part was ordered, but part isnt available and company wont tell me when it will be. I have received 6 part availability dates so far. Whirlpool wont help. Over two months now without a washer. Ive asked them to replace machine or give me my money back, but they refused. The Whirlpool Extended Warranty group doesnt answer their phones, was put on hold for a long period.

This Maytag Dryer (Model #MEDP575GWO) was delivered January 29th and the paint on top of the dryer is bubbling and peeling. I haven’t even had the unit 4 months yet and they tell me the warranty for “cosmetic” reasons is on 30 days. This is completely unacceptable and I will sue them if necessary. I am in utter disbelief.

This is a review of a washer that is no longer sold. I bought a top of the line Maytag washer 45 years ago. After around 25 years the control (all mechanical) started sticking during the cycle. I opened it up, sprayed it with TV Tuner cleaner, worked it a few times, and it has worked perfectly ever since. That is the only problem or repair on that machine since it was purchased!

Bought the Bravos machines in 2008. Nothing but trouble. First they both had to have their timers replaced because they took two hours to wash/dry a load. Then the washer began to leak. I need to keep a towel under it and swap it out with another one as it gets wet. Had warranty folks come out to repair it. Took three tries and two guys working together to figure out what was wrong. Within a year it was leaking again - back to the towels! The dryer always takes at least two cycles to get anything dry. No more Maytag for me!

This washer is a piece of expensive junk. It was used sparingly (2 people using it) for 16 months when a repair service had to be called. The estimate to fix the machine ($980) exceeded the initial cost. It did not clean the clothes adequately when it was working. There was a powdery substance on the clothes when they were removed. The clothes were always bunched up and intertwined. Only the proper type and amount of soap was used. I cant recommend this washer to anyone. We were very disappointed since we have always purchased Maytag washers/dryers. Never again.

I have an MFD2560HEB refrigerator that I purchased 6 years ago. I paid a premium price for what I thought was a quality product. It has had issues with the ice maker from the beginning, yet I was always able to get it fixed with unplugging the unit for a while. The fan inside the unit stopped working last year. I took apart the entire inside to replace it, and now, 4 months later, the water is completely frozen. Unfortunately, I purchased a Maytag induction stove in May and less than a month later, it is not working either. Maytag quality is not! I asked if I could return the stove, but was told I had to let them fix it. Im still waiting to use my $2,000 stove!

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in July 2007. As with any appliance, we always purchase the extended warranty as it usually runs about $100 on appliance. My first experience with problems was in February 2010 when the control panel went out. If I had not purchased the extended warranty, I would have been in trouble. It ran out in July 2008. It was downhill from there. In September 2010, it quit spinning; and the fabric dispenser would not work. I called again in September 2010. The tub was out of balance. In June 2011, the panel control went out again. In November 2011, it would not spin. In June 2012, the panel for control had to be changed out again. In July 2012, now the pump is leaking. And guess what, my extended warranty is up 8/1/2012. I contacted Customer Service, which said unless there was the same problem within 12 months, there was nothing they could do. Well, Im fired up. I intend on making a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and anyone else who will listen to me. I paid over $2000 for the washer and dryer, and it should last more than 5 years. This is ridiculous! When Whirlpool bought out Maytag, then the product went to crap! Dont tell me the Maytag repairman does not have anything to do now, because I know I keep him real busy. I am so tired of the companys just blowing you off when you work hard for your money and purchase a product for your family that should last at least 10 years. I am a principled person, and this is not going to go away easy. The repairman is coming next week to fix it again. I am going to give him an earful as well. The last one who came to change out the panel board (3rd time) said they had nothing but problems with this unit. Well maybe they made it that way, so when the warranty runs out, they can charge you an arm and a leg for the part and the labor to repair. I will never buy a Maytag product ever again. My next one will be the new LG washer and dryer. Talk about the lemon law. This product from what I am reading here should very well fall within that category.

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

Washer is noisy and water does not saturate clothes on normal wash. Have to use sheet setting for small or large load. Washer changes gears and it is so loud and clanks like something is falling apart.

I purchased Maytag dishwasher (model # MDBH979AWW3) in June of 2010. Trouble started on washer after 18 months. Touch pad buttons dont all seem to be working. Occasionally gets to run after slamming door multiple times, but dispenser doesnt function properly. After trying to diagnose myself with door switches, connectors, etc., I caved in and called service. Service quoted $470 parts and labor to fix the problems, including control touch panel, dispenser, and control board (seems common from what I read here). Wish I had seen this string of posts before I called Maytag/Whirlpool customer service to see if they would help before I did any repairs. The responses I got from the service rep were rigid and scripted. Only time she varied from the script was to explain that modern high-efficiency appliances dont tend to last as long as ones 20 years ago. 18 months? Really? I might buy that if it was a mechanical durability design issue. Supervisors responses were also scripted, pointing back to the 12-month warranty. She said she did a warranty search on my model and that there was no warranty concern for this problem (really?). If there was, she might be able to help me. I guess there is no warranty history because most failures are between 12-24 months and the consumer has to pay for replacement outside of warranty. No semblance of customer service or customer care, just repeating what is on their website. Response was: I am sorry you are dissatisfied with the product and my response, but there is nothing I am authorized do. Sent an email to Maytag customer service regarding the problem and customer service interaction. They called back saying they stand by the original customer reps response, but offered to have someone else come out to give a second opinion on the problem. From what I read here, that doesnt seem necessary. Wish Maytag/Whirlpool would at least acknowledge that there is a problem, even the auto industry seems to have figured out a way to equip the service industry with known recurring problem history (TSB) and offer token help to keep customer loyalty. Apparently another quality organization fallen victim to short-sighted methods of maintaining shareholder value.

I have a 6-month-old top load Bravo Washer. It has destroyed two bottom fitted king size sheets and 2 shirts that now have holes. It apparently slices the sheets during agitation. I have a service policy and called the service agency. The technician said there was nothing wrong with the machine, yet it literally ate 2 more items. Help! I need a solution to this problem.

Maytag Dishwasher MDB77495 - We bought this dishwasher September of 2013. April 2013 when you pressed the option I wanted the options auto clean, rinse only, steam sanitize and delay hours. The thing would work when pressing start but I have no idea what it is doing. The repair man replaced the board and all was good for a couple of months then it happened again. The board was replaced again and in two more months it failed again. The repair man told me that moisture was getting to the board and there was corrosion on the ribbon mentioned in another review here. He contacted Maytag both times and gave them my contact information but they never called me + they told him that they have never heard of this happening with this machine. We had a Maytag machine 8 years ago where the board actually melted but like an idiot decided to try them again. I will never buy a Maytag again.

My husband bought me a Maytag washer as a surprise gift. I was so excited to get a Maytag. I will never purchase a Maytag again. I am so tired of washing, rewashing and rerinsing my clothes and still not getting the soap out. I have used every different kind of detergent and used with and without fabric softener. I have also tried cold, warm and hot water. I would rather use more water and get the soap out instead of using more electricity to keep rewashing my clothes and then in the end having to take a wet cloth to get the soap out. Never had to do this with any other washer I owned. Very disappointed as I always thought Maytag was the best.

I bought this Maytag MCT washer and dryer set brand new from Lowes October 31st, 2016. When I washed the first load it made so much noise I thought it was broken. Called Lowes and they said it is just noisier than the older ones. This is the water/load sensing model, supposed to be great. I am usually here by myself, so at most I wash one load of clothes a week. I have a queen size mattress pad in there washing right now. This pad fills up the drum pretty much, I have it on deep water but that only gives me maybe 1/4 of the drum that has water in it. The pad is wet from wicking, NOT from the water covering it. How is this supposed to clean anything when the water is not covering the items?When it spins out, it gets off balance easily. The manual says to not worry about balancing load as you put it in there, but doesnt make any sense to just cram on one side as the water isnt going to float the cloth around to balance. The settings for Bulky does nothing more than the setting for Deep Water, you still do not get enough water to wash your clothes.It also does not do any good to add fabric softener to the machine, as it seems to just take it all out, you cannot smell any fabric softener on your laundry when you are transferring it to the dryer. And the laundry when dry isnt soft like it was with the old machines. I will be 62 in December 2017. My parents always had Maytags, never a problem. This is the 4th set of Maytags I have had. And bought a set for my daughter in 2013 also. And this by far is the worst. Their quality is completely gone now. Nothing but cheap made products that are predestined to fail. Friend across the street said she had looked at this set when she was in market to get a new set. She has an friend who works on appliances and who works for stores selling these models and he told her, they were not worth buying. Wish I had known that. Do not waste your money.

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

Purchased MAYTAG DISHWASHER MDB7809awm in 2011 for $719. In 06/2013 the far right 3 buttons stopped working. I contacted Maytag to see if there was an issue with this and they reported that there was not. I had the part replaced in 06/2013 at $280. It cost me 1/3 of the purchase price of the dishwasher. The repairman said that he sees this a lot with Maytag control panel issues.On 08/02/14 the same exact issue occurred. I contacted Maytag online on 08/02/14 and didnt hear back until 8/13/14 to say that there was no known issue and all they could do was recommend a repairman. I also called before I heard back via email and they said the same exact thing, there is no known issue and we can do is recommend a repairman. I am not interested in repairing. Been there, done that. Not doing it again. I researched the issue of the 3 far right buttons not working and there are several forums and discussion topics out there. I find it hard to believe that MAYTAG is not aware of this issue. If you GOOGLE the model you will see the same issue. Not only is the MAYTAG product poor, but they have the worst customer service I have ever seen.

Food stored next to the ice dispenser freezes. Freezer floor builds up with 1 1/2 to 2 of ice every couple of weeks, door wont close and water leaks on floor.

My machine is only 14 months old and will not even turn on. I opened the lid, and the tub was filled with water and the wet clothes sitting in there. There were only 6 items in there: 3 school skirts and 3 school pants, dripping wet. So I unplugged the unit to try and clear the circuit board - to no avail. The machine will still not turn on. The lights are on, the sensor turns on for about 3 seconds and shut off and everything just sits there. I did not get the extended warranty. My mom still has her Maytag she bought 30 years ago and its running like a champ. Wish I could say the same. I gave my sister my old Maytag - its 25 years old and its still running like a champ. This machine is a LEMON. I will never buy another Maytag again. I am so done with this brand. I hope that a Class Action suit is filed against them.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

My Maytag refrigerator, french door freezer on bottom MFT2976AEMOO has had problems since I bought it. It is with the icemaker in the refrigerator door and freezer. My icemaker has been leaking since we have gotten it dripping water into the refrigerator. The freezer now is not working and all my frozen food thawed out. I am so tired of having workmen coming out to try to repair it. They even took the refrigerator back to the shop and had it for 3 weeks and said it was repaired and told me it was working fine. NOT frozen food, again thawed.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT60AWB purchased from Lowes about 8 or 9 years ago. This model was included in the huge 2010 recall of 1.7 million units due to the possibility of heater-unit fires. For the last couple of years, its had a problem staying on the selected cycle: After being started on normal wash, it reverted to rinse only after a few seconds, but eventually quit responded to the selection of other cycles altogether. Removing the back from the door to expose the innards revealed the ribbon cable that connects the circuit-board head to the control panel had worked loose. Reattaching it provides a temporary fix, but it eventually works loose again. We suppose the screw holding the back to the door will strip sooner or later, but by then well probably be so fed-up with fixing it that buying a new (non-Maytag) one wont seem like a bad option.

I recently purchased a new Maytag Commercial top loading Bravos from Lowes. It looked like a sturdy model and has a 10-year parts warranty and to cover this washer even more... I purchased the additional warranty from the factory. The washer is delivered, set up... First batch of laundry the washer is making all kinds of noise, the clothes are wet..water didnt dissolve soap packet... Repairman comes out..washer out of balance, cold water not at full pressure... Computer failure noted. Now still making a lot of noise, my clothes are twisted and intertwined and still dirty. My dryer isnt even taking the wrinkles out and even after I iron on hi steam the clothes are still wrinkled beyond belief... Im so dissatisfied with the washer... I want to return it... I cant believe Maytag would manufacture a washer that is ruining my clothes...

We purchased this microwave in Jan. 2012 to accompany a Maytag double oven for our kitchen remodel. Last night while using the microwave, 2 sparks shot up out of the top of the microwave and an electrical surge noise. I quickly un-plugged the appliance. The next day I attempted to use the microwave again and dense electrical smelling smoke poured from the top of the microwave, again un-plugged the machine. I have called an appliance repairman since the 1 year warranty is up. This machine is not even 2 years old and we will never again purchase a Maytag product. PS If the problem is the magnetron (whatever that is) I will contact Maytag for the warranty information.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in July 2016. In August 2016 it broke for the first time. I was just passed my 30 day moneyback guarantee, so Sears would not take the washer back. I have had more than 10 service calls on this washer in one year. I live in a rural area, so Maytag told me I was in a non-serviceable area and would have to wait WEEKS until they found a repair person willing to come to me. I only live 40 miles from Richmond VA, where I purchased the washing machine, so imagine my shock when they told me they couldnt fix it because of my location! Ive had countless people in and out of my house, and it still does not work right. You can only do very small loads, so the perk of having an XL machine is none. But even at that, it does not properly clean anything, tangles clothes, and will leave even the cleanest items looking terrible when they come out.Ive had a new circuit board, new transmission, new bearings and gears, new balancing rods, and still, Im left with a machine that does not wash and makes terrible grinding noises. I bought the washer and matching dryer as a set, and even the dryer had to get a new circuit board put in it in the 1st 60 days! After thousands of dollars in repairs on a $1000 washer, Maytag will not admit I have a defective machine and replace it! I just ran a load of laundry and have to call Maytag yet again, because the grinding noise gets louder with every run. Do not waste your money!I would give anything to have the 29 year old set I gave away when I bought this garbage back! I have literally been on the phone with Maytag in tears because it doesnt work properly, Ive had to throw away items that would not come clean because there is not a laundromat available in the town I live in. All I want is to be able to keep my family in clean clothing and linens, doesnt seem like too much to ask.

Recently I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer. These two items are the single worst appliances I have ever purchased. They are loud, ball the clothes into a knot and run forever. I plan to sell them on Craigslist and buy a Speed Queen.

Works quietly and efficiently and I love it! I dont even know its running and the dishes are sparkling clean when they come out. How could ask for anything more. I would always purchase this brand again. The reliability is another factor, I have had Maytag before.

After 6 months of use, I still HATE my Maytag washer. I will never buy Maytag again! The machine must be tricked into adding additional water to wash. It begins to agitate with very little water! Destroying my clothes! Also, I am having to hand wash all my underpants. They do not come out clean. If I could send it back, I would! Feel totally ripped off! I would give 0 stars, if I could!

We bought a new top of the line Maytag MGD7000XW dryer about 2 years ago. It worked great for about 6 months, thing started acting funny. All of the front console lights stay on all of the time and it ONLY dries on high heat now. This all happened after the warranty period. So fine, I was going to buy a new complete front console (CONSOLE Part Number: W10388467 $300.) as the online repairman suggested. Guess what, Maytag no longer offers the part to fix my dryer. So now I have a 2 year old top of the line P.O.S. MAYTAG dryer that cant be fixed. I will never buy from this company again (Maytag).

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749AWW1) just over a year ago from Sears. I did not get an extended warranty since the appliance wasnt over $1,000 and I thought I would take my chances. Sure enough, about one month after the warranty expired, it all falls apart. There is something wrong with the control panel and I cant get anything to work. Ive been looking online and see that this is a common problem. So rather than throw more dough into the money pit, Im purchasing a new, simple, uncomplicated GE Americana washer from Home Depot for $279. I figure this will cost me less than going through the repair dance with Sears and Maytag. I will never purchase an appliance from Sears again. Ive been through the mill already with a $2,000 Jenn-Air range that has broken down five times in the past three years (2 times it was the control panel). I was lucky that I purchased the 5 year extended warranty on that one, but never, ever again will I deal with Sears.

TRASH! Bad, Destructive, Dangerous. I am in awe of the worthless, destructiveness of this machine. This washing machine does not add enough water to even cover clothing. It agitates, tangles & tears clothing. You end up with dirty filthy tangled clothing. And this is after waiting for it to make some kind of idiot decision as to whether or not to wash your clothes at all. I frequently go out and it’s made a decision not to start at all. There also is no lint filter, so subsequent loads of laundry are dirtier than the first. You can’t wash clothes without enough water to cover them. I read online that it adds water depending on the weight of the clothing, so wet the clothing first to make it think it’s a heavier load. When you do that it spins the clothes first before it begins to wash them. Your clothes still come out of the machine dirty. If you’re looking for revenge, make someone a gift of this washing machine. Otherwise, put it out with the trash.

I bought the Maytag Bravo XL washer and dryer several years ago after reading many reviews. I like the glass top of the washing machine and the front door glass on the dryer. The dryer is fine its the washing machine that does not perform like the old machines. Whoever came up with the bright idea of saving water by cutting down the volume in your machine to about 6 inches for a good size load probably have never used a washing machine in their life. It does not get your clothes clean and does not get the soap out of a clothing to my satisfaction. Who made this suggestion? Could it be the same branch of government that made everybody use those spiral light bulbs years ago? The fluorescence that give off loads of EMF?

My name is Luis ** and I own a Laundromat in Yuma, AZ. I recently purchased 10 Maytag top loaders model MVW18PDAWW in August, so the machines are practically new. They are the new HE top loaders with locking lids. Since I purchased them I have had nothing but trouble. Customers have complained about them on a regular basis; there are days when we have had as many as five complaints.First of all, the locking lids proved to be a much bigger problem than we anticipated. People want to open top loaders to add fabric softeners and when we have opened them so that they can add the fabric softener they are often disappointed with the level of water in the washer. Those people consequently refused to use those particular washers. People have pressed the buttons on the control boards and sent the machines into a loop; different readings have appeared on the screen. Some of them say out of order, sync and several other error codes. Eventually the machines reset themselves or I have had to reset the programming. In the meantime the people pass the word and those machines are not used by those who hear. The controls are too sensitive and are not suited to a commercial coin laundry.Whenever any buttons on the control board are pressed the time of the wash appears on the board. Because of this some people who are busy and are using and loading several washers claim that they have already put their money into the machines; they argue with the attendant or with us. Many times they actually believe that they have placed money in the machine and many times they try to get a free wash from us. Either way they are unhappy and they, and those who hear them argue, will not use those washers again. In most cases we lose them as customers and once customers are lost they never return.I placed them in a location where the previous Maytags had been heavily used, expecting them to replace the old machine. I was wrong. They are used very little and the long and short of it is that we are losing money and since our busy season is coming up, will be losing even more customers and therefore more money. I spent close to $12,000 on the machines, including delivery and installation and right now they are quickly becoming heavy paper weights. I have contacted the salesman who sold them to us, but he has given us the runaround and done nothing about the situation.

It takes almost a whole day to wash 1 load of clothes. The clothes dont get clean! The spin cycle wont let you spin. It runs your electric bill up! This is not a energy saver! I am so angry and disappointed! I thought Maytag was Supposed to be the best. Yall failed me. I wish I could get my money back!

At two different times today I was left on hold for thirty minutes each. I was told the compressor only had a year warranty on it, cant do anything about it. I then went online to Maytag web page and it read only on compressor the warranty had ten years. I called them after a very long wait and was told that was just started with the ten year warranty. I have owned many different refrigerators never heard of compressor only lasting 5 years. The serviceman who came out to tell me compressor was bad said the name Maytag used to stand for something but now stands for junk. Worse customer service, worse product.

This dishwasher is at 10 years old, but is a real workhorse. This machine cleans like no other! Never worry about our dishes being clean. But we have replaced the seal once.

1 year 4 month old fridge went out. Waited a month for part/repair. No help from customer service. $1200 fridge, $700, lots of angry calls, no luck. Customer service is horrible. I have been a Maytag customer for many, many years. In November, 2014 we decided to buy a new matching pair. No problems with dryer but the washer has been a nightmare from day one. Have had at least 5 service calls (lost count). The washer constantly smells. Clothes are not clean. Have to buy and run Affresh tablets weekly. Spend more on wash machine cleaner than laundry detergent. Funny thing is Maytag/Whirlpool makes the expensive cleaning tablets. The customer service at Maytag has not been helpful from day one. They recommended I buy an $150.00 extended warranty. Stupidly I agreed and regret doing it. They still have not fix the machine under the one year original warranty. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL Top Loading Washer and matching dryer in 2013. I had a repairman out to install a new screen on the dryer because the lint was spilling over into the surrounding area. The new screen has been catching most of the lint, but I still have to vacuum the surrounding area after a few loads. Also, I have to turn the dryer on two (2) cycles in order to dry most of the clothes, and the machine makes a lot of noise. Those are minor problems compared to the washer. It constantly tears holes in my towels and wash clothes. I NEVER put in a full load because the water level is so low, and it does not clean the clothes. It takes a long time to go through cycles and it is EXTREMELY noisy.I called Maytag and they said that they never heard of the problem of creating holes in towels and wash clothes, and wanted to charge me over $100 to have a repairman come out. They also said that the repairman might not find anything wrong. I feel that the washing machine is very hard on the clothes - like the salesman at Lowes said It’s like beating the clothes against a rock. The washer and dryer are JUNK, and I would not recommend these to anyone! I would trash them, but they were very expensive and we cannot afford to buy new at this time.

I Hate this machine. It does an inferior job and I wish I never bought it. Our Bravos XL washer was purchased in spring. It left white residue constantly on my clothes. Even WORSE, the machine wrinkled the permanent press so the clothes had to be ironed before wearing. (I rarely had this with my last washer). I used the machine settings correctly and I called the company and basically...was told, Youre out of luck. I hoped that it would improve but No Way! Dont purchase this machine, dont waste your $$$.

After first dishwasher was recalled, this one (installed less than 4 years ago - Oct. 2010) had the electrical panel burn out - two years ago. Now - for second time. LAST TIME BUYING A MAYTAG!

Just after a year the bottom freezer began to build up frost. I had to thaw it every day. A repairman changed part and ran well for about 5 months when it started to frost up again. Again, I had to call a repairman in. $500.00 later, my fridge is working again. I am done with Maytag appliances. Never again!

I have a 2 year old Maytag Dishwasher (barely used - it is a weekend house) MDB7749sbm1 and the control panel went out about 2 months ago – I followed another person’s advise of hitting normal and heated dry buttons 3x quickly and that seems to wash the dishes – not sure what cycle it is on because all the lights go on including 2 hr delay. I called Maytag and they kept me on the phone and hold with multiple agents for 34 mins and finally agreed to send someone at no cost to see if the problem can be fixed with no cost to me. I have had two Maytag washing machines in the past. Both lasted 20 years. Three years ago I purchased my first Maytag front loader washer and dryer. The washer is terrible. Although I clean it regularly plus spend money buying Affresh tablets and leave both the door and the soap dispenser open, the washer smells and builds up tons of mold. Cleaning out the heavy mold in the soap dispenser area is almost impossible. I spray bleach in there and then try to stick my arm into the back where most of the mold accumulates. Cant really get it all. Also, there is a problem with the softener dispenser. It gunks up and gets clogged. Had to keep pouring hot water and vinegar into it. Contacted customer service who was no help - they simply wrote to clean the machine. Huh? The dryer turns sheets into a tight roll with the inside not drying.

I will never buy anything made by Maytag again. I just bought this washer 9 months ago and the sensor broke. The repairman said I have to pay $300 for the new part and it will take 3 weeks, then the repair told me many people have this same issue and he wanted to be honest that this always happens to these washers and my best bet is to buy new... I am so sad I saved for 4 months to buy a new washer and it was a bad decision. I have learned my lesson.

We purchased a new Maytag dishwasher last year when we purchased our new home. All the other appliances were Whirlpool. This dishwasher runs forever. We have huge electric bills and I am sure this is a contributing factor. We purchased it from Lowes. They have sent out two technicians who say there is nothing wrong with it. One said it was because it was in an island. The other that our water is not hot enough. He turned the water heat up and now you have to warn people using it to be careful or they will get burned. No wonder the Maytag repairman is so bored. He knows the appliances he services are junk and doesnt bother. Take my advice. Buy ANYTHING BUT Maytag!

I purchased a Maytag Gemini April 22 2017 and I am very unhappy with it. The ovens are not working properly. I have thrown away so much food because the ovens won’t hold temperature. The display says it’s the temp. I set it but the temp keeps dropping and rising causing the bottom and top to burn and inside not to cook. Both ovens are doing it. Had a repairman come day before Christmas. He said there is nothing wrong. He said set temp, when preheat beep goes off wait 15 minutes for it to cycle then insert food. I tried this Christmas Day. Oven is still not working and again I threw away more food. I am so disappointed in Maytag. Serviceman is set up again to come out next week. I think I got a lemon. Please. I think they should replace the whole range. It’s not fair. I paid so much for this range and can’t use it.

What happened to the days of buying a washer/dryer and having them for years! To spend a thousand on each and have holes in the bellow causing dirty water to Empty on your floor. Not once replaced, not twice, 5 times!!! Now Im looking to buy another. Old school for me...

I am very dissatisfied with this Maytag Gemini oven Ive had it for 4yrs. It has been in the shop twice for the same problem. Temperature control. It is down again for the same thing temperature control. The repairman, who I had to look at it, says the bill will be over $500.00. I paid $1300.00 for this stove. I cant afford to put any more money in this stove. I had to pay $100.00 for repairman to tell me this. The model # met8665xw02 serial#D30522404. Is there a recall on this stove? There should be. I sold Maytag products for several years at Circuit City. I always pushed Maytag instead of another brand. I believed in Maytag. The repairman hasnt been lonely to me.

Dishwasher cleans well but the top rack is poorly designed for taller glassware. Unit has the typical features - wash, sanitize, rinse only, high temp wash, heated dry, light, normal or heavy wash, and delay start up to 6 hours. Standard dishwasher face; nothing fancy, no dirt catching features, very satisfactory. Electronic features (start, stop, etc.) broke after very little use. This is my second Maytag and a repeat of the first. Will NOT purchase this brand again!

I purchased my which I thought was a stainless steel French door refrigerator in 2011 that I was getting a great product. Not even 3 months later I was using my warranty to stop the leak from my freezer now. Mind you, I paid $1500 so I got it fixed. 3 months later I called for repair again... Getting annoyed because this time the freezer came off track. 6 months later were chopping ice chunks up to stop the leaking on the floor. This lasted until last October keeping towels and old clothes around the fridge to soak up the water. This is so embarrassing especially if you have company over. You have a pile of crap soaking up water. I am a wife and mother of 7 children. I cant afford to just go buy another fridge. This isnt fair... I spent hard earned money on that magnet attracting stainless steel fridge and Maytag could care less. Im so disappointed and broke. Now I have to scrap it.

We purchased our Maytag Bravo XL in 2012. Over the past year and a half we noticed the inside of the top lid is rusting as well as the bleach dispenser area. I called Maytag about the lid and they said there was nothing they can do and that we could buy a new lid replacement. Really??? My parents had only Maytag in their home for over 50 years with little to no repairs needed ever! We were a family of five back then. Because my parents always bought Maytag products so did we. This is the first time in 40 years that I have ever seen this happen! I was hoping for a recall for these issues but dont find any online. The washer and dryer were not cheap and purchased from a reputable retailer.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot August 2018 and it has leaked soapy water every 3 out of 5 times that I run it. Home Depot said they dont cover installs after 2 weeks and to directly contact the manufacturer for service. Maytag sent out a tech 3 times but they werent able to replicate the problem, so nothing has been done to fix the dishwasher even though Ive shown the tech different photos of the dishwasher leaking. The service tech said they will now charge me $90 to return, even though the dishwasher is still under warranty and not repaired! Ive owned many different dishwashers (rentals and houses) without any problems. This is the first Maytag brand and it is horrible. I will never buy another Maytag and have warned all of my friends and family.

Ive had my washer for about two years and have been disappointed from the get-go. I did a lot of research and found this to be top rated... Wrong! Even though I use the HE detergent and Ive even cut down the amount with no results, it leaves gobs of soap/lint residue on most of my darks and I wind up having to either rewash on clear or rinse by hand to get rid of the stuff.Ive also noticed some snagging on some brand new towels, but I attributed that to possibly the brand. Well, then I had an issue with some very expensive bottom sheets shredding and raveling and still didnt catch on. Today I noticed a different towel with similar problems, which led me here and walah! I see Im not the only one having these issues… Darn! Warranty is expired and Im stuck!

Great stove for the price. The oven bakes good, the self-cleaning oven is awesome, the top is easy to clean up and regulating the temperature is so easy.

I bought a Maytag side by side fridge freezer in 2010 at a cost of £2000. Having come back from a week away it had entirely defrosted spoiling all the contents. An engineer came to look at it but said the fault was unrepairable so he wrote it off. Maytag (Whirlpool) think that it is perfectly ok for a 5 year old fridge freezer costing two grand should now pack up. I, on the other hand, do not... They offered me £700 of the cost of a new Maytag. Joy! I thought. However, this one does not make ice or have chilled water (the principal reason for buying Maytag in the first place). I was then told that this was the ONLY fridge freezer in the entire Maytag or Whirlpool range. Is there nothing else you can do to help? I pleaded. No was the reply. The moral of this story is going posh on an American Fridge freezer is not guarantee that you will get the after sales service that the price would suggest.

I have used Maytag washer and dryer for over 20 yrs. I recently replaced the set we purchased in 1988 because the washer broke down but I have never had a great problem with it either. I do on a average of 3 loads of laundry a week. I measure my detergents, mostly wash on warm or cold and I keep the filters and machines clean. I would buy the same maker should I need to replace them.

Bravos washer, a year old machine, needs new main electronics board $220.00 plus $125.00 labor to install. Repair guy said humidity makes them go out. Go figure a part sensitive to dampness on a wash machine. Why don’t they seal it better? By the way, this machine does not wash, worth a crap. I am getting something new.

I purchased the top model Maytag dishwasher, and within four uses, I noticed major water damage to the side of my cabinetry. I pulled out the dishwasher and realized it was coming from the side unit where water enters the tub. These things happen, and I phoned their customer service department expecting this unit to simply be replaced, being that it was less than a week old, and that I would have been left a satisfied customer. They were willing to send a technician over to try to fix the problem, but not replace it. I now have to replace my cabinets, and maybe even my granite as it may be damaged in the removal process. I am not asking them to fix that even though the damage was caused by their dishwasher, but a new dishwasher, I did expect them to cover. Their customer service stinks, and I suggest to anyone that if you have any problems with a new unit, the best thing to do is return it to where you bought it. Im sure they will gladly give you a new unit and send the bad one back to Maytag. Dealing with Maytags customer service is the worst thing you can do. They do everything in their power to not replace it. Instead, theyd rather lose a customer for life. Whats sad for them is that Im a builder, and I usually build approximately three houses per year. Thats a lot of units theyve lost sales on over a simple replacement of a dishwasher. Its not a good way to do business. The bottom line is, stay away from Maytag.

I bought a new stainless steel Maytag refrigerator last year. It had a one-year warranty. Wouldnt you know, 14 months after my purchase, the icemaker stopped working. Did not take out the extended warranty, as I thought I had purchased a quality appliance. I contacted the store where I purchased it. Was told it would cost $150 to replace. I own a 2004 Neptune front end washer that Ive dealt with the terrible smell of stagnant water since I got it. Now the motor went and I was told I need a new washer even though the product warranty information clearly states the motor is covered for up to 10 years. The repairman told us that the motor thats in my machine is no longer being manufactured. How is that my fault? I do not have another $800.00 for a new one, which is now not even a lot of money for a washer. Ive already bought 2 washers since I built my home 14 years ago. Its just not right!

Purchased a new Maytag dishwasher three years ago. After having it for one year the panel box no longer worked. Had to pay $300.00 to repair. Now half way through washing the dishes again no water will go into the machine. Only the first part of the cycle. I am sure it is going to be the panel box after reading other peoples problems with this machine. I will not pay to have it fixed this time. I will have to buy a new dishwasher. I will never purchase a Maytag product ever again. I have lived in my home for 40 years and never had a problem with any appliances. MHW60X - I experienced a problem in May of 2015, and the repairman told me it was the master board, and he has seen this many times. He said that the MCU board goes out after 3.0 - 3.5 years!! This is exactly how old my machine was! The cost to repair this was almost what the machine cost, and this is unacceptable. I have had Maytag washers my entire adult life, and my prior one lasted approximately 20 years, but after this I am not sure I will consider another one in the future. To have a major part burn out soon after the warranty expires should not happen. I contacted customer service to find out the experience and reported problems on this model, but could not obtain any information, other than they have received calls about this model. I asked Maytag to reimburse me for the part - at a minimum, and they refused stating it was out of warranty and they could do nothing. Apparently they do not care about their reputation anymore, which is sad, since they used to be so well regarded!

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

My washer is 3 years old, it sounds as though an earthquake is rocking my laundry room during the addition of water, rinse, and spin cycles. Cleanliness only when washed twice, along with the washer stopping at 12 minutes because of UL signal (unbalanced) - this happens even when I have a small load. The dryer does dry clothes however along with tons of Lint stuck to my clothes. I empty the lint screen after EVERY dry cycle. Have had repairman who charged me $70.00 and said he could not fix the washer.

Faulty Maytag Bravos electronic dryer model MEDB400VQ0 - I purchased a new Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in Feb 2011. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed the dryer not drying my clothes. They were hot, but not dry, leaving them hot and steamy. There was also wet lint that kept accumulating inside of the dryer. I took the back off of the dryer to see if there was an obvious problem and I found the blower belt and large bolt that holds one end of the belt to be off and laying on the bottom of the dryer. I have also looked online and did a search on this make and model and the issue I was having, it brought numerous people having the same problem on multiple internet forum sites. Apparently, there is also a service bulletin on this exact issue, but according to the Maytag customer service department, no recall. Therefore, I am out of luck as far as getting any kind of repair (unless I pay for it) because I am out of warranty by 3 weeks. I purchased the Maytag brand thinking this was going to be the best and will last me a very long time. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It only lasted me one year without breaking down and the customer service department is horrible. You can tell they definitely dont stand by their name, the Maytag name is a thing of the past. I will never recommend this brand to anyone else for purchase and I regret having swayed my mother to purchase the very same set I did. This has been an awful experience and I am wishing I had chosen a different brand. Maytag leaves me angry and very much dissatisfied.

Replaced a Maytag Bravos xl washer and dryer in 2015. First year was fine but almost right after the warranty period, the spinning cycle was loud. You cant even have a conversation near the washer. I put up with it after calling the repair department. Because I was told that it will cost as much to repair than buy a new washer. Now the washer does not drain when a small amount of cloth are in the washer. Dont buy this washer and dryer. Maytag is not as good as it once claim.

We just replaced our 20-year-old washer and dryer for a new Maytag Bravos set. The Home Depot staff convinced us that top loading units were of good quality and reliable. We were fairly satisfied with our expensive purchase when our washer stopped spinning. We are just past our 1-year warranty of course so we called the service department. A young man in a beat-up pickup truck showed up and spent his time reading the manual that was hidden under the washer. His best guess was a $300 part plus a $100 fee for him to show up. So to repair a less than 2-year-old machine is $400. Im tempted to buy a different washer. It wont be a Maytag, unless you can convince me otherwise. I give you credit for great advertising! I was convinced that Maytag was a good name with limited repairs.

After purchasing this washer in 2007, the washer started to smell like sewage. At first we werent sure it was the washer and had a company come out to check the pipes. After this and calling Maytag complaining without any luck. We were told to buy affresh tablets and run it through the washer once a month. This last only so long and the smell comes back. Now when the washer goes into the spin cycle it sounds horrible. Again called Maytag without getting any resolve. I will never buy a Maytag again!

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

Our Maytag ref. is not quite 4 years old and it is leaking water on to our floor. The ref. is a French door with water and ice in the door and freezer on the bottom. We have to clean up puddles of water at least 3 or 4 times a day. I see that this is not an isolated problem, as others have complained about this defect doing the same thing with their Maytag refs. Why hasn’t Consumer Affairs demanded a recall on these expensive defective refrigerators to date?

I got a new washer and dryer for my ex wife and son last August. Its October and the agitator broke off. She is not abusive to things and just the two of them dont produce much laundry. This was just poorly built. Maytag should be ashamed to have built such a poor product. I thought GE had the worst appliances, but Maytag must have hired their engineers. Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. They explained it should be filled only a quarter of the way. What??? Do not purchase this machine.

Like many others Ive read about online, our Maytag fridge model MFI2269VEW5 with bottom mount freezer has ice forming at the bottom of the freezer compartment. The ice then melts and runs onto the kitchen floor. At this point, I am able to prevent this leakage problem by removing the 1/2-inch layer of ice that builds up about once a week. Using a stiff plastic spatula, I am sometimes able to remove the ice in one large sheet but usually it breaks up and has to be removed in pieces. I have seen several videos online showing how this problem can be fixed but as a pensioner with limited income, I am sure the expense of a repairman would be prohibitive. I could likely make the suggested repairs myself but because of a knee replacement, I am not able to kneel for any length of time so that is out of the question. Besides, when we purchased this fridge 3 years ago, we expected it to run trouble free for the rest of our days. This is obviously a design problem and Maytag should be covering the cost for all repairs. However, it is a sad reality that Maytag and their owner, the Whirlpool Corporation is only interested in making a profit to satisfy their stock holders. They apparently only pay lip service to making quality products that last and customer satisfaction seems to be a thing of the past.

Maytag refrigerator model MFF2558VEM9 purchased in November 2012 from Home Depot for $1329 suddenly would not maintain freezer temperature under high 20s in April 2017 (4 years, 5 months). Repairman says it has coolant leak, probably due to corrosion within the sealed system. Cost to repair - $1500. Repairman says this is a common problem.

They are coming for the 7th time to fix the ice maker. Three full replacements. The bottom of the freezer had a buildup of ice, another call to repair. I know where the Maytag repairman is, hes at my house.

My 16-month old dishwasher, which is not being used everyday, broke its control panel. Maytag will not fix it for free because they only back it for one year. This is a major appliance, shouldnt it last more than 16 months? The cost to repair is almost as much as a new dishwasher.

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. Hopefully you are doing your homework and will not make the same mistake we did!!!! Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

I purchased a Maytag top load HE Bravo 700 3 yrs ago. I only wash 3 loads of laundry a week and the bearings went bad in the washer! Maytag/Whirlpool will do nothing to help me because they say I should have purchased the extended warranty. Well there is NO WAY that I could have worn out those bearings; it was a manufacturing defect that caused them to fail and hundreds of people online all say they have the same issue. The repair cost is $400 and would only have a 90-day warranty so I might as well purchase a new washer. Home Depot (where I purchased the washer) has been very helpful and is offering me help on the purchase of a new washer, but even they could not get Maytag to do the right thing and repair my Bravo. I am going back to a none HE machine with an agitator. This has been a horrible experience and Maytag has no business putting commercials on TV that say they are dependable.

I would say you have plenty of options when choosing a color for your dishwasher. You can choose black or stainless. Try one today you wont be disappointed. I load plenty of dishes into the space. It has extra pockets for little things and it has plenty of hooks and hangers to use for bigger cycles. Kenmore Dishwasher runs great. Very efficient and cleans the tough stains better than any dishwasher Ive ever used. I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a dishwasher. Of all the dishwashers I researched at Lowes and Home Depot and Sears and Ace and other local stores, the Maytag was the lowest price with all the features I wanted.

We bought a Maytag gas range in Feb of 2011. Shortly after that, we started having an intermittent problem with the oven not maintaining the temperature. It sometimes would not heat up to the proper temp or sometimes would get there but not maintain it. We have had several service calls all for this same problem. Each time they would replace things... nothing worked! We called Maytag and they said they wouldnt replace the unit until the same part had failed 3 times. Well, the service company came out 5-6 different times in the first year and replacing the main panel twice and the sensor and some other thingies I dont even remember. Pretty soon the warranty was running out, so I bought an extended warranty due to the fact that the unit had never been fixed. They sent out two different service companies who also were unable to fix the unit. It is now 18 months since we bought it, and Maytag refuses to do anything since it is out of warranty and the extended warranty company will only replace the unit up to 75% of its cost. So yes, we are very angry with Maytag and the way they wont stand behind their product and their total disregard for their customers.

This range cooks evenly, producing satisfying results every time. It’s easy to use, simple to clean and serves me well daily. It has a double oven feature with a smaller oven on top which is not only convenient but energy-saving. The top features a cooktop which is easy to use and maintain. Never had a better cooking appliance!

The refrigerator works well. No problems. Easy to move to clean behind it. Good value. I havent had any problems since I bought it. Keeps a steady temp; Its exactly the size I needed; has plenty of space. Its a plain fridge with a reasonable price!

Bought a Maytag French door refrigerator MFT2976AEM01 in August 2013. Started having problems before the refrigerator was a year old. I called to get it serviced and it took 4 months to get a repairman to check it out. He fixed one part and then ordered another part that he needed which took 3 months to get. After he replaced that part the refrigerator continued to have problems. The serviceman has been out to repair my unit 6 times so far. He has no confidence in the Service Engineers from Maytag. They recommended yet another part be replaced, however now Maytag will not cover the parts cost.They offered to let me buy a new fridge at a discount. After spending about $2700 in August 2013, I dont have the $ to spend again for a refrigerator. My refrigerator is so loud it has been waking me up for about a month now and I am sick and tired of it. Shame on Maytag for having such terrible customer service! I will never ever ever recommend a Maytag because this has been a nightmare!

We purchased a wall oven model MEW7530DE 11/8/2014 which was installed the first part of December 2014. From the beginning the temp was not constant and everything baked was either burned or under baked. The first repairman said the control panel was faulty and was replaced four months after purchase, the problem continued. After three more repairmen all from different companies concluded they could find no problem and thats just how ovens work now. We contacted the owner of Hamiltons Appliance, where the oven was purchased, and requested a replacement oven which was accomplished December 2015.New oven, same problem, very disappointing. My wife has been baking for over 50 years and has never experienced problems and frustration on this level. The condition of the oven is totally unacceptable and with all the effort by us and others we are at a loss. We purchased an extended warranty which has resulted not fixing of the problem. We hired an electrician to inspect the wiring in case that was the problem, costing us $200. The wiring was all good. What do we do next and what are our options short of another new oven. WHAT IS MAYTAGS RESPONSIBILITY? Respectfully, a very unhappy customer.

I had a Kenmore that lasted 20 years. This didnt last 5. Paid a lot of money for a disposable washer. Red in color on top of that. When I bought I did my research and had good reviews. Dont buy any new technology -- not enough data. This a POS. No more Maytag for me. Spoke to a repairman -- water leaking from the bottom and bearings are out -- was told it was a bad design. 951.00 -- energy guide said the annual cost to operate was 30.00 a year -- my calculation is 30.00 + 190.00 = 220.00. What a ripoff. Never a Maytag for me again. I only really needed a dryer but thought that I would update and just get a matching set for my women. Now we will be going back to an unmatched set. What a terrible purchase. Review says 5 star -- that is for the Consumer Affairs -- not the washer.
