We bought the combo Maytag Bravo 300. The issues with the dryer are that it doesnt heat right, have to run the thing twice, after the first 50 minutes the clothes are still damp and it sounds like its going to take off. We had a service man tell us that it was the fan blower rubbing. Now for the washer. It sounds like a b-52 taking off in spin cycle. I know that its the bearings, bearing kit 80 some dollars plus the bearing tool another 80 some bucks. Dont think Im going to invest in Maytags game. If there is ever a class action lawsuit please put me down or notify me.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL MCT because It could wash King size comforters/bed linen. I needed a machine that was large capacity. Also it was an HE washer that cut my water usage down quite a bit and reduced my water cost. Also this machine did a great job of cleaning my clothes and household items. The features were good. Variety of load type water temp if it was delicate, bedding, denim and more. I have had it for 5 years and so far no problems. It came with a 10 year warranty.

I got a Maytag Bravos 18 months ago and liked it at first. After using the washer for a while my towels were falling apart. Did not connect to the washer at first but I began to notice pulled threads on my towels. Talked to Maytag customer service who said they had never heard of the problem. She did say mix the towels with other clothes to prevent the problem. When I got this machine we had about two dozen good quality towels. Now I am down to maybe a half dozen. Those came from the six my Dad bought us for Christmas and I stashed away. The towels have pulled threads all over and will be completely destroyed soon.

Dishwasher Model #MDB7609AWW2 - I have replaced the touchpad once a year for 4 years. Went online and learned a DIY repair using a Permatex Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit to fill in the touchpad broken circuits. I have repaired it once a year for 2 years. My suggestion is to avoid purchasing this product. Apparently even after multiple consumers have contacted Maytag regarding this widespread defect, Maytag has not issued a recall or assisted anyone. They say if the part can be replaced there is no issue. When the dishwasher works, it is great, however it WILL NOT last. Touchpad will fail and you will be out $124 for the part plus labor unless you do the repair yourself.

Maytag washer MVWC565FW - Clothes do not wash. They just get pushed around and the soap scum is left on the clothes even with the water at the highest level. I bought the washer override lid switch at a appliance parts store just to observe the washer cycles. The washer did not wash the clothes. I took the washer back. I like Maytag products but this washer has to be engineered.

Leaked and leaked, spent hundreds on never ending problems from day one. No support from Maytag. I was told by Sears salesman it was the best you could buy. Our old washer lasted 30 years. This one never worked right - dead at 5 years. Shame on Maytag.

Had a brand new Maytag MDB4949 dishwasher installed on 10/20/15. Noticed an acrid smell of burning plastic coming from the pull handle. After going to the reviews I see a pattern of shorting control panel boards melting the ribbon cable. Having repaired Xerox copy machines for 17 years, I recognized the smell of an electronics short and melting plastic. There are 600+ complaints for the same thing. Going to call the store we purchased it from and will escalate from there.

Purchased new Maytag washing machine July 17, 2011. Have had several problems with it over the past three years. Most of the time it would not complete a load of laundry and would get stuck before the drain and spin cycle. Last week, the spin cycle became extremely loud. Had a repair person come out and was told the motor bearings were bad. Estimated repair cost $700. Purchased this unit new for $569.00. Called Maytag, was told that 10-year warranty on drive motor and wash basket did NOT include the bearings. Asked if they could help out with repair cost, was told no. Will never purchase another Maytag product again as they do not stand behind their products. Household has 4 people in it so use of this machine was light to medium.

The dishwasher (model number MDB7100AWW, serial number 158462977YH) that was replaced due to recall for fear of fire hazard has only lasted two years. Is there any recall on the recall? Our dishwasher was purchased in 2001. We live approximately 30 miles from the former location of Maytag manufacture, Newton, IA. In our 39 years of marriage, we have always had Maytag appliances: washer, dryer, fridge, and dishwasher with long lasting results. Our previous dishwasher lasted 23 years. It is very disappointing to feel the need to replace a Maytag appliance, which weve always felt was industry standard after such a relatively short life! It no longer fills correctly, and trouble has been diagnosed by service tech as bad control board. It seems theres a possibility of fire hazard once again. This is probably the worst place ever to buy any appliances. They are extremely unreliable and the technology on them sucks. If you wanna buy new appliances I highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere. The customer service is extremely horrible and is a disgrace. Shame on this company. I purchased a Maytag washer 5 months ago. I noticed the washer was not putting enough water in the machine to cover my clothes, and at the end of cycle my clothes would be all tangled up. A repairman looked at it and said there was nothing he could do. Do not buy this washer. It is a lemon. I even spoke to the main customer service representative, he was the most arrogant man I have ever felt with. He basically said deal with it. I want. I want my money back so I can purchase a washer that actually works.

This washer is no better than a glorified garbage can. Maytag AKA Whirlpool should be ashamed to put their name on this product. Like others before me on this website my washing machine sounds like a jet is taking off in my basement. When I contacted a serviceman, he told me the drum seal is broken and the bearings are shot. I have the machine since April 11, 2011. Not even three years to date! I do not have an extended warranty so shame on me to believe that a 900.00 machine should last well beyond 3 years. Our parents had washing machines and dryers for as long as 20 to 25 years and they actually cleaned clothes. We now have high efficiency machines that destroy our clothing and leave them dirty and wrinkled. They are now made to break in 5 years and from what I see on this website the average for breakdown is becoming 3 years. Do you think that this is not by design? The service call turns out to be more than the value of the machine, so the repairman doesnt even profit as consumers refrain from costly repair and repurchase. The only profitability is gained by the manufacturers that keep pushing out junk to the consumer. These manufacturers should be accountable like the American auto-manufacturers became accountable for the junk they manufactured at the expense of a whole city, Detroit.

My oven looks like it has never been cleaned. The self clean Aqualift does not work to clean your oven. If I would have known that this feature did not work for self cleaning I would never have purchased this oven. My old cheaper oven at least came clean on the self clean cycle. Now it seems I am going to have to scrub my self cleaning oven. What a waste of money. Will never purchase another Maytag appliance.

MY MAYTAG WASHER and DRYER ARE 17 YEARS OLD. THEY are FRONT LOADERS WHICH I THINK MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I BOUGHT MAYTAG because I had trouble with Whirlpool products that didnt go the test of time. The only problem I have with my washer is the mildew.

I bought a Maytag washer 1 year and 1 month ago (MVWB835DW1), Hated this washer since day one. It does not wash clothes very well, does not even cover them fully with water. The mini agitator at the bottom does not move he close it just spins on the bottom of them. Now it started making a very high pitch squeal when it spins and of course it is one month past the manufacture warranty so I call a repairman and the first thing he says to me is Im sorry for your purchase, it was a bad one and it will cost me 600$ to repair because the bearing is bad. And my bad for not getting an extended warranty but I have never had a washing machine work this bad and break within the first 13 month of owning it??? Lesson learned I guess!

We purchased the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer based on the good reviews. This has been the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. The washer had to be replaced on the 3rd day after it was installed due to a motherboard issue. The washer constantly has the UL error code so I cannot leave the house if I am going to wash any clothes - I readjust all the clothing in the washer; however, there is no rhyme or reason to the UL code - just made workmanship.We also have had many issues with the dryer as well. Our clothes stopped drying, the clothes had a mildew smell and the lint was wet even though we religiously clean out the lint element. We researched and found this was a common issue. The belt comes off on these dryers; apparently it happens quite often. We fixed it ourselves - twice- by watching a YouTube video. Now our dryer catch (latch) doesnt work and we have to repair that as well.It is obvious from all the complaints that both of these Maytag machines that there should be a class action lawsuit at this point in time. I will NEVER purchase a Maytag or Whirlpool product - EVER. Whenever anyone asks me for a recommendation I tell them to stay FAR FAR away from both Maytag and Whirlpool products since they are unreliable, have terrible workmanship and the company will not do the right thing and fix the issue and provide refunds to those that have purchased these terrible machines. A washer and dryer is a big investment and should last more than a couple of years. I never had issues with my Kenmore or GE products and wish I still had them. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED BY MAYTAG OR WHIRLPOOL. EVER.

Like many I have never wasted my time writing a review, this time I have had it. Purchased all new appliances from Maytag, biggest mistake I have made in the last 10 years. Front loading washer is the main culprit. Doesnt clean clothes, have had to replace the rubber boot on the inside twice now, machine is only 3 years old. Purchased the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer in January, 2014. Today, 5/16/15 (less than 1 1/2 years later) the repairman tells me that the cause of the loud noise in the spin cycle is bad bearings. Only a 1-year warranty on the machine. I have never purchased extended warranties on appliances so this will cost me $400! Or a new washer since this is more than half the cost of the new washer. This is bad business, Maytag. Ive been a loyal Maytag customer for years but I think Im heading to Speed Queen with their 5-year warranty unless youre going to give me a helluva deal to keep me. Grrrrrrr.

To anyone out there who is considering purchasing a Maytag washer. My husband & I purchased a Maytag Bravo top loader washer from Sears Hardware here in Columbus, OH. We had always received great review regarding Maytag products. This washer is expensive & does not work. We started having problems from the day we purchased & had Sears come out three times for repairs. This washer has a built in scale which is extremely sensitive. We are very disappointed in this washer. It takes an entire day to do 3 loads of laundry. The washer goes off balance on every load. It doesnt do a god job cleaning the laundry. I do not suggest the Bravos series to anyone consider purchasing this product. It is a piece of JUNK! We purchased in Aug 2010 and the washer will need to be replaced within the next several months. Keep in mind that more expensive & lots of fancy extras doesnt mean a better quality washer or dryer. Stay away from Maytag or you will have the Old Maytag repair guy @ your door frequently.

I installed a new Maytag Wall Oven Microwave Combo 18 months ago. I had not used the microwave in over a week. Last night, we heard a loud pop and realized the beauty glass front on the microwave had shattered. No one had closed the door too hard, in fact, we had not used it. My Maytag refrigerator Model MFX2571XEMS has to constantly be defrosted due to ice accumulation in the bottom of the freezer. If not defrosted, water leaks out onto our hardwood floor. Maytag will not do anything to resolve this problem. We were told by a repairman that we have to defrost it manually to fix the problem. Yeah at least every 2 weeks. What a rip off.

This washing machine is good for cleaning clean clothes, like stuff you wear one day at a desk job. But nothing dirty. Its really bad. Dont fill it either, nothing will get clean. 1/2 full or less. If you put too much clothing in there it will leave lint and other debris all over them. Also, dont use granular detergent, it wont dissolve or rinse out. Liquid detergent only. Weve had it for about two years, and its a constant disappointment. A total waste of money. Really annoying. I have to get rid of it. Its almost completely useless.

I have Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7609AWB2. I purchased it from Sears on 5.30.10. It was installed 3 weeks later. From June 2010 through November 2011, the dishwasher has stopped working 3 times, every 6 months, requiring a service call to fix the electrical /circuit board problems. The aggravation of owning a poorly built machine and inconvenience of waiting for Sears to send a repair person has sealed our decision to stop doing business with Sears and Maytag.

Maytag dryer MEDC215EW - This dryer does not dry the clothes without many wrinkles. Sheets just ball up with the inner sheet a mass of wrinkles. Small loads just flop from top to the bottom of the dryer, falling in clumps. I have gone back to having to ironing. Very disturbing!!! I would not recommend this dryer to anyone.

After buying this dishwasher model MDB6759WWW3 in Jan. 2010, I fully expected it to work longer than it did! So far, the control panel has been replaced 5 times. The last time was Sept. 17, 2012 and already it is out again. I talked with Customer Service, since Georgia has a lemon law. After 4 times it is to be replaced.They had no record of the part that was replaced, just that a technician had come and repaired (by ordering the same part they had no knowledge of). This time they will either replace or instead of me calling, my lawyer will call. I will never buy another Maytag product and will encourage anyone else not to buy either. My daughter had the same experience with a refrigerator, a piece of junk they did nothing about. By the way, I have an extended warranty plan, which should not even be necessary!

Works quietly and efficiently and I love it! I dont even know its running and the dishes are sparkling clean when they come out. How could ask for anything more. I would always purchase this brand again. The reliability is another factor, I have had Maytag before.

My brand new top of the line Maytag Bravo washing machine lid was broken and locked and would not open. I had clothes in there getting moldy. Three days in Pacific Sales trying to get help. The washer, of course, is under warranty (about 90 days). Finally a repairman came out from Appliance Doctor. He had no clue what he was doing. The company was rude. Then Maytag said High Tech was coming out yesterday, Monday, Dec 16, 2013 between 8 and noon. It never happened and when I called High Tech, he was rude and said it was not on his calendar.Maytag will not give my money back or a new machine or provide a competent repair company to fix it. I will be giving away the 1000.00 washing machine for someone else to fix and buying another brand. I would never buy Maytag anything after this experience. We purchased our Neptune washer and dryer combo MLG2000AWW from Circuit City in 1999 for $1900 also purchased the extended warranty. Here we are 15 years later and time to replace with new Samsung units. Besides having the main bearing replaced after 6 years in service, and having a sensor and a switch replaced on two separate occasions all covered by the warranty, our Neptune provided exceptional service throughout the 15 years. My understanding was that Maytag was bought out and run very poorly in the early 2000s as our unit was produced prior to that time... when Maytag was Maytag.

Bought this (Maytag Washer MVWB955FC1) on 1/8/18, was delivered late in January as it was on back-order. On 4/30/18, during a cycle, the washer made a pop sound. There was glass everywhere. The glass had shattered and exploded onto the floor and washer. The glass is on the inside of the drum and all over the clothes. Contacted Maytag and they sent out a repairman the next day. Repair said there is a point of impact indicated I dropped something on it. NOTHING was dropped on it. There is a point of impact, from the inside. The glass is pushed up and out indicating pressure from INSIDE the washer.Repairman says its not covered under warranty and that I had to pay for his time as well. He also said there are no known issues with this lid and washer. The lid is out of stock and wont be available for a while. I called Maytag and they gave me the same response, never heard of this.. and lid is out of stock. I found SEVERAL reviews/complaints in which, for the exact same model, this has happened to other people. This glass lid is dangerous and poses a serious safety risk to households that contain it. If they replace the lid, there is no guarantee this will not happen again. A child could walk by the washer and at any moment the glass lid could explode, send tiny shards of glass everywhere. I want a refund for this dangerous washer.

This is our 2nd Maytag washing machine in 25 years- we upgraded to a newer model though the old one was still working. The settings on the newer model are perfect for our family and we love all the options. We love our machine. Thanks.

I read the reviews before I bought this washer, went to a major department store to buy it. This way I knew that I could get good support if something happened to it. Its been 3 months, I use the washer everyday. There are 4 adults in my building, they use it daily. I have never had a problem yet, the clothes come out cleaner than the front loader I have. It seems Maytag still makes a good product. I am the first to admit, when you make large number of products you will have some with a defect. But this washer the Centennial by Maytag works great.. Plenty of water in the tub, the clothes come out clean.. Maybe those people having problems need to stop buy at big box home centers. Theyre known for lumber not washers.

Im another Maytag dishwasher dissatisfied victim. The control panel stopped working within 12 months and replacement stopped working after one year, which they say is not covered under the warranty. They make rubbish which are disposable and have lifetime of one year.I feel we have to stop Maytag misrepresenting their garbage and basically defrauding us by selling substandard items to unsuspecting consumers. If you have been victim of Maytag lets join together. I would like to start a group to take a class action lawsuit against Maytag. I am very angry and feel they have to be stopped. All Maytag says in response is to try to sell me a one-year insurance. With the rubbishy quality of their products, they probably make more money from selling insurance than their substandard equipments.

Bought this Maytag XL washer and dryer in September 2012. In January 2014, the washer stopped working. Service guy came out and said the electronics went out. Then in May 2014, the dryer died. The dryer door latch broke. Would not stay shut. 2 days later, the heating element went out. Again, the service man came out. This service man said that this model is subject to break downs. This Maytag is a piece of junk. I went out and bought a Whirlpool, which I had before. I would never buy a Maytag again. I paid over 2000.00 for this Maytag and it is the worst washer and dryer I have ever had. Apparently, the Maytag repairman needs to get his butt busy. I have the Maytag now on my sunporch, waiting for the junk man to come and get it.

I purchased a Maytag MDBH979SAB0 dishwasher from Home Depot two weeks ago for around $600. I got it installed and it would not turn on. I contacted Maytag and after a few questions, she stated that they would have to send a repairman. After a few days, the repairman arrived and said hed never seen this model before but that we needed a new control panel. After waiting a week with no work, I called Maytag to get an update. The control panel is out of stock and could be a while - they are trying to find one somewhere around the country. They refused to send a replacement dishwasher, even though this was brand new. Their policy says repair, not replace. Dont take the chance purchasing a Maytag dishwasher.

I really like the refrigerator. Its easy to maneuver and frost-free, but I should have gotten the side by side. Also, make sure of your family size before you make final decision. Other than the size I would recommend to family and friends to purchase.

My Bravo washer will not wash a set of sheets without dancing across the floor. So irritating to have to run in and separate the sheets that have ended up in a ball. The dryer is ok. Except my old Maytag had a loud buzzer that went off when the cycle was done. My new dryer has a dainty little chime that cant be heard if the washer is going. Wish I had my old set back!

I purchased a Maytag commercial residential washer in late 2018, supposed to have a warranty for at least 5 years. We are in California and I was told that there was only one facility that could come two weeks later. I removed the front panel to have it ready for service tech, who on the first visit kept saying he did not know what the problem was, and left telling me he would order parts. After Christmas, I could not get in touch with service so again called Maytag. Service was supposed to come out on the 30th.After waiting almost 3 hours, he called to tell me he did not have the parts. Also, this repair tech treated me very bad since I removed the front panel which I thought I was being nice. He called me back on the 30th, said someone gave him a part, and came. All he did was remove control panel, lost the start button and told me it worked without checking it at all. He was rushing to another appointment so I tried to start it and it still had the original issue, which was slow agitator and a rubbing/grinding sound. Now, after he did something with control panel it had a clicking sound. I immediately called corporate and was told when he came back, which has now been over a month with no washer, that he would be with a senior technician.January 5th I waited all afternoon and he called and said he was not coming and that my whole washer would have to be rebuilt. He never replaced the parts on previous invoices I received, and I filed a complaint with the BBB. Now they are completely lying. Technician trying to say I had the control panel apart which is not true, and does not match up with the invoices I received. They are telling me my warranty is voided! Its been a month and a half. I was treated rudely from the beginning and now I am obviously being retaliated against. I have 3 kids, two with severe medical problems and have put so many hours into calling with all these issues.I had another service place come out and he removed the agitator and the transmission shaft/drive motor is rusted out, as well as the parts he said he replaced are worn and definitely not new. For this company to come back after all this time and say I did this, when I have the original invoice that clearly states otherwise is absolutely the worst service ever.I bought this machine thinking it would last, and now have to deal with all this. I have nerve damage and it is very difficult to take all the laundry for a family of 5 to do at laundromat. They refused to send someone else out, where they could easily have seen this repair tech never did what he said, and was unable to diagnose and fix the issue. Its appalling to me that this is how they treat customers. Laura ** at corporate is the one saying warranty is voided. The machine looks brand new as it has always been taken care of. They should be ashamed of themselves. Apparently, this is the standard a lot of times with people trying to get things serviced under a Manufacturer warranty!

We purchased a new Maytag dishwasher for $500 from Home Depot about 1 year ago... it stopped working 4 days ago. I did not get satisfaction from Maytag customer service as they tried to sell me a repair program whilst I was trying to determine if it was under warranty as it is a known problem. I now have a repair person coming out with a price of $189.95 + time. A complete joke of an organization. Lesson? Do NOT purchase any MAYTAG brand. They DO NOT stand by their product. My rating is ZERO STARS, the site forces me to enter a star which is ONE TOO MANY. I will NOT do business with Maytag, Whirpool or any of their brands again.

We are on our 2nd Maytag refrigerator in 6 years and both units have failed. Maytag will not stand behind their product and the service company declined to come out to look at the unit because we were upset and contacting the BBB. So we have spent thousands on 2 refrigerator units that have lasted 2.5 to 3 years a piece. If I could give no stars I would and I would advise to look at other companies and models.

Here is my question, this failure mode is obviously a designed in feature providing planned obsolescence to the device. Why is this company not being held to account for the damages in this case? Are all the judges that bought that no suit can be brought?Have all of you contacted your state consumer protection organizations regarding this issue? I would also recommend that you write both your state senator, the state consumer protection organization and any media outlets you can think of. High rate of control panel failure, devices activating by themselves when people are potentially away from the house, risk of fire or flooding... these are serious things and I would think a story that some news organization would surely be interested in digging into. Now that would serve to light a little fire under the Maytag organization if something like that was to occur.This sure seems to me to be a defrauding of the consumer - selling them a product at the top end of the price range that has such a significant design flaw that in the end can only be considered not fit for purpose. I havent yet contacted Maytag and Home Depot (who I believe are fully complicit in this as well), but I will be doing so to give them a chance to make this right, which I fully expect them to decline to do. Then I will begin writing letters. Am also considering small claims court. But above all, do not just accept this and move on! Companies like this need to be held to account, and they need to be reported so that others purchasing new devices in the future know to stay away from them.

I bought a Maytag MDB8959SBS2 December 2013 with several major appliances for our new home while they were all deeply discounted and bundled with cabinets etc from Lowes. Moved in June 2014. Said dishwasher crapped out last month (May 2015). Buttons all fouled up, push normal and 6 other lights come on. Tried different resets, reboots, power down all no good. I ordered parts to repair, control board, control box, no luck. No warranty because purchase date was December 2013. This thing didnt last 11 months of use, and its just my wife and I running maybe 2 loads per week. I will certainly do more research and buy a foreign make/model or at least one not made by Maytag or affiliated brand. Unfortunately this supposed Made in the USA sticker sure doesnt stand for quality with this company.

Actually, I have had my Maytag washer and dryer for 20 years so they are not new but I am thankful for this set because of the workload it does for me. I sometimes wash heavy loads (blankets, bedspreads, small area rugs), and this pair performs superbly. My son wanted to buy me a new set for Christmas last year but I definitely said no. I truly am happy that I bought Maytag and I truly believe that the Maytag repairman is a bit lonely.

Worst washing machine!!! I purchased the top loader Maytag Bravos washer HE in 2011 and they are the worst!!! It has been repaired three times already and now is making such a loud noise and I have been told it is the bearings. I did purchase the extended warranty and it expired. The reason I did not get a renewal is Maytag & Home Depot do not allow the the extended warranty company to let you know the warranty is ending. So now I have a 3 1/2 year old washer that needs bearings and will cost $500 + for repairs. Will not be spending anymore money on this absolute piece of junk. I had a Maytag that was 22 years old that I replaced and thought I was buying the same quality but never again another Maytag. This company may want to employ only repairmen because you will need only them because no one should buy a new one going forward.

Maytag Cenntenial Washer - We traded our super capacity for the ex-large Maytag washer and we have great regrets. We posted it on Craigslist about 4 months after we bought the unit and NO ONE would buy it for $300.00 even though we paid close to $600, and only 4 months old? What does that tell you? I have had to add 5 gallons (bucket) with each wash to make sure all the soap washes out. Very loud, takes a long time to wash and just worthless. This last weekend, we tried to trade it for a used $150 agitator washer with a used appliance store and they said theyd never be able to sell it and refused the trade. What does that tell you about the washer?

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

I sold my 20 year old Maytag set and upgraded to this Maytag Bravos washer. This machine takes almost 1 hour to do a load and they come out dirty. Only way to get clean is to set on bulky sheet which uses twice as much water as old machine. This unit should have never been put on the market.

We had a Whirlpool dishwasher for 24 years, and when it was time to purchase a new one, I did a lot of research before choosing our Maytag. Reviews by other consumers who had purchased dishwashers was very helpful in making our decision, and we have had no problems in the almost 18 months that we have had this dishwasher. It is very quiet. It washes and dries the dishes with no streaks, although I wash off the dishes before loading them. It provides 5 cycles and 4 options and lights blink, when the washing and drying cycles are complete. I would recommend the Maytag, Model #MDB4949SHBO wholeheartedly.

I was always impressed with the front loading spin washers commonly found in laundromats. The top loading Maytag Bravos does a great job of cleaning clothes and does not stick another door in your way when loading or unloading it.

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG. OWN UP!!! My advertisement begins today!!!

I purchased this new a year and 4 months ago and have had nothing but issues. We thought it cooked slow or cooked high/low but couldnt be sure if we were just imagining it until we had family come down at Christmas and complain about how slow the top burners are and why is it taking so long to boil water. Then again family for Easter where they cooked three days in a row and they complained that our top oven either burns or under-cooks the food which we had noticed but presumed we just mistimed a lot of food. Just recently the bottom oven wont heat past 350 and just constantly says preheating. The top oven followed suit shortly after. Nothing past 350.

It’s really quiet and it cleans the dishes, pots, glasses on just 1 cycle and I’ve had it loaded more than one time. I do use rinse aid and I do occasionally use dishwasher cleaner. I wouldn’t own angry other than a Maytag dishwasher. They last forever. The commercial about calling a Maytag service man is true! I’ve never had to call fior service! Well worth the money!

When purchasing new, sales person highly recommended Maytag products. Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW3 - This had the SS tub that my wife was looking for. Now only 19 months later it has completely stopped working. A few weeks ago the lights on the control panel would randomly come on or not align with the wash option that was chosen. This lasted a short time, and then lights on the panel would stay on, and not allow you to choose any options. I reset our breaker and this alleviated the problem for another week or so. Then it stopped working all together. A quick Google search and it was obvious Maytag has a MAJOR and KNOWN issue with this model. The ribbon going into the faceplate/ control board sits directly behind the port that exhausts the steam. This ribbon over time becomes corroded and eventually malfunctions. I called customer support. They were completely unwilling to acknowledge the problem and also unwilling to help in any way. They offered to sell me an extended warranty @ $329.00 that would cover the service call and repair. Very unhappy that their product has an obvious defect/ flaw and they are completely unwilling to acknowledge/ or stand behind their product. We are a family of (3) and run this dishwasher about once every 5-10 days. Unbelievable they find a fail rate within a year and half with light use acceptable!

My husband bought me a brand new Bravo Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2010. In May of 2011, we moved and the dryer hookup was electric instead of gas. My husband knew how much I love the dryer, so he surprised me with another Bravo dryer to match the washer. We put the other dryer in storage and were happy with our purchase until April. In April 2012, the dryer stopped working. It wouldnt dry the clothes at all, and every time we tried to dry, the dryer was filled with wet lint. We were only a week away from moving again, so we waited until we got to the new house. The new house had gas hookups. So, we put the dryer that didnt work in storage and were thankful we didnt get rid of the other dryer. Now, just a few months later, the gas dryer isnt drying and is having the same issues as the electric dryer. How very disappointing! Both dryers are broken now, and it has only been 2 years. Each dryer has gotten about a year of use and then both quit. My husband, I and my two-year-old dont do that much laundry to break 2 dryers. My old GE washer and dryer lasted for years and is still working. We gave them to my husbands aunt who uses them and loves them. I agree someone should start a class action against Maytag. These issues are ridiculous!

I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

I purchased a Maytag electric slide in stove, in stainless steel. The aqua clean is a joke, ran it for three cycles after cooking one roast and it does not work. Then to add insult to injury I had to get on my knees using a turkey baster to remove what was left of the two cups of water. The finish on the front is coming off. Not at all what I expected from a 1500.00 range. Poor quality. Now there is the sound of a fan running and I am not using convection.

I have had this dishwasher less than 2 years, Maytag model # MDB7749SBM2. The control panel started acting up, it would not let me select a wash cycle, it would select its own and I could not change it. After reading these reviews, I took off the control panel and discovered the wires which are encased in a plastic were all darkened and messed up. I will try to replace it on my own but if I have to I will buy another brand as this dishwasher hasnt really cleaned my dishes all that well to begin with.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher MDB7749AWM1 in May of 2011. Yesterday, the on button would not work, so I called a serviceman out from Maytag. He said the whole panel needs to be replaced, parts and service will cost me $240.00. What a shame. 2 months out of warranty. I had two previous Maytag dishwashers, lasted for years with no problem. The newer models are junk, do not buy them! I can see by the other complaints that they had the same problem. They do not stand behind their product. I wonder how long the new panel will last? Im done with Maytag products!

The machine does not rinse soap off clothes even after using 2nd rinse cycle. You have to wash clothes again using no soap at all. Defective machine maytag does not help or Clare wanted to charge service fee for tech even though machine is under warranty. This washer should be recalled. Very bad product. Lots of complaints.

The dishwasher turns on of its own accord. Sometimes when you get too close to it, once in a while in the middle of the night, and most of the time when you latch the door. It does a great job cleaning the dishes, but to no avail because its always in the middle of a cycle when you need them.

Maytag Range Precision Touch Control 800 Electric Smoothtop - The racks in the oven fall down. I have replaced them with new ones but am having the same problem. I emailed my concerns to Maytag a few months ago but didnt get any response (so perhaps I didnt go to the right site). The oven was purchased in early 2008 and this is the only problem I have had with it. If I am extremely careful, I can bake cookies but if I try baking or roasting anything heavy, the racks fall. It is very frustrating but I was pleased, for lack of a better word, to see that someone else was having the same problem - at least I know it isnt just me. I will try contacting Maytag again.

We bought this from our local big box retailer paying $433.87 after installation, the oven, haul away and home delivery. Two years and 3 months later its a boat anchor. Display is cold and dark after stating we needed to open and close the door before it would heat. We did but it kept displaying the same message. Unplugged it, turned circuit off per Maytag customer service line, still nothing. It is no longer made and you cant get parts. It is useless. The 10 year warranty just covers the magnet and the cavity.

I saved for this refrigerator for some time and assumed at my age this would be my last one. Thats a joke, less than 2 years and I see this water leaking on my floor. I blamed my dog at first. This was a Home Depot purchase. I love the middle drawer but the freezer has this problem. I removed the ice but it comes back. I did not purchase the extended warranty because if you have an excellent product, you dont need an extended warranty. And of course this happened RIGHT AFTER the warranty ran out. I am VERY upset with Maytag/Whirlpool. Will NEVER buy another product from them. This fridge should not have problems in less than 2 years.

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

Model #MDB8959SAS1 MAYTAG Dishwasher - purchased in 2014 at Home Depot. First we had to replace the rack adjuster, and after that another part broke. Finally, the electrical control board totally melted and smelled up the house. Fortunately our breaker switch worked and it didnt cause a fire. But Ive read other reviews of this happening with Maytag dishwashers where there was a fire. It now resides at the landfill.

The dishwasher stopped working. The lights on left side of control panel arent working; so, machine wont start. Then machine was purchased in January 2010 for $525 and not including installation. Kim says it will cost $129 for their repairman to come look at it. I wished I had read the list of complaints on your site first.

Ive had my Maytag refrigerator for 19 years and it still performs well. I keep it clean both inside and underneath. The lighting is one aspect I really appreciate as there are two bulbs in the interior so theres never a problem seeing all the contents. Also appreciated are the movable shelves on the door and the ability to raise or lower the main shelves in the body of the fridge.

Like other reviewers, I am having issues regarding the control board panel for MAYTAG Dishwasher Model Number MDB7749SAM0. The unit was less than 3 yrs old when the control board panel malfunction issue began. I feel like this is a manufacturing defect and the company should be responsible for repairing/replacing the control board panel. I contacted Maytag numerous times regarding this, but customer service continues to tell customers there is NO warranty after one year from purchase date, and they are saying there is no recall or other reported issues regarding the Maytag’s control board at this time. However, I have found numerous online complaints and reviews about the very same issue I am having and same poor customer service. Since MAYTAG does not seem to care about their customer’s concerns regarding their product breaking in I feel that the only solution is DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG dishwasher brand again. I have had other brands last much much longer than this one did.

I bought a Maytag washer November Thanksgiving of 2013. This washer started giving problems three months after; problems such as the cycle stop turn over properly, the light would say wash but its not washing. It would just stop but the light stuck on wash for long periods of time. Press the pause/start/cancel button, it would sometimes start again and stop and let out the water quickly. The clothes would be filled with water and not wash properly. This the funny part, serious funny part. I contacted Maytag on countless time. They had me on hold so long I had to hang up; a hold for hour I am talking about. One day I finally got through. They gave me a number to contact because where I am located there is no tech. I never got anyone but the machine when I called the number after countless times of trying. I decided to called back Brandsmart, because I just think its not right and fair to me to purchase a washer for so much, to had it shipped for more money. It didnt last me NO time at all and I cannot get any help. Well! Brandsmart told had to have paid export shipping, something I never was offered and since I took it out of the country, there is nothing they can do for me. I hunted for my receipt and to this day I I still have it. All was offered was warranty parts and labor for a month, thirty days. I said no because I would not think anything would go wrong in that short period of time. Nevertheless was not offered any export shipping warranty like what they are trying to ** me with. Here is my receipt number **. I grieve presently how I was just robbed of my money so openly when all I wanted was a replacement.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

Does not rinse clothes or dispense adequate water. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Dark clothes come out of washer with white dust/soap residue on them. Clothes often come out of washer dry - never touched by water in the wash cycle. The spin cycle knots the clothes into a heap. As for the dryer, pulling out the lint filter leaves lint particles all over the top of the dryer. Poor design.

Second time I have purchased a Maytag washer. Both units failed within six months of extended warranty running out. Maytag repairman is sitting on his **, not because they have a quality product but because consumers are seeing that it is a subpar product. Don’t waste your money on them or any of their off brands.

Bought this Maytag Bravo washer in 2013 expecting long service life like I had with my previous machine. After 2 years spin cycle noise got progressively worse. Until now it roars loudly and keeps stopping in the spin cycle for rebalancing. Called Maytag. Experience was as described as others have reported with them and their repair service. Absolutely no help unless I spend another $310 for extended warranty to cover the $380 part (tub and bearing - 1 unit - cant get only the bearing). Paid $800 for the washer now more for the repair wanted. $1100-$1200 for a machine that will need repair again in a couple of years? Dont think so. This machine is only good for a boat anchor. Going out today to buy a replacement for $400 and it wont be a Maytag or its affiliates brand. Feel like a class action suit would be good for Maytag to wake up to.

I have had this refrigerator only 6 weeks. The freezer works but the refrigerator does not cool properly. I went back to Home Depot - Baltimore MD and told them I have lost 3-1 gallons of milk for it spoiled. I am right now putting a 4th gallon in and out of the freezer trying to keep it. A serviceman was to my house the other day and stated this brand new Maytag refrigerator only had in my home 6 weeks needs a new board and a flapper that opens up in freezer that sends cold air to refrigerator. Parts are on order. Home Depot would not trade a Maytag refrigerator that worked well and take this lemon back. I am stuck with a lemon I only bought 6 weeks ago.

This Maytag dishwasher is beautiful inside and outside. I love that the controls are hidden. It cleans dishes very well. It has a large capacity for dishes, a rack for glasses/mugs, a small rack for cooking utensils, and a container for silverware. It is so quiet you hardly know it is working. I would highly recommend it.

I purchased a Maytag range with self-clean oven. Manual says to put 2 cups of water to self-clean and no cleaning is done. I called Maytag and they said it is environmentally friendly and the rest of baking stains I have to scrub myself. This is totally unacceptable. I also cannot clean with easy off, it will damage the inside of the oven according to Maytag customer service. I do a lot of baking. What am I supposed to do now, live and cook with a dirty oven! Ugh!

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model #MDB6769AWB2. After 1 year and 2 months of light use (just my wife and myself), the control panel went out on it! I called Maytag and because it was over 1 year old, they would not do anything about it! When you call their number listed in the owner’s manual, they thank you for calling their Customer Experience Center. This is an experience I can do without!

I bought Maytag frost-free refrigerator last August 2006. But now, I noticed that ice builds up in the freezer. The product is only five years old but I was told by Whirlpool that they had discontinued making defrost heater. The reason why I bought Maytag was the ad on TV showing the Maytag service technician seating and doing nothing, implying that Maytag brand is a good product. Think again before buying Maytag products.

Maytag Bravo Quiet 300 dryer(less than a year old): #1, on timed dry setting machine cuts off before the set time, clothes still wet. Needs multiple cycles to achieve drying, then you get wrinkles. Cannot manually set time, its automatic. Technicians (2) have replaced sensors and tinkered with timer, no fix, no documentation to show what was actually done.

This is was my first time experience to purchase Maytag Bravos XL (MWWB835DW) 5.3-cu High Efficiency Washer. I need it fast replacement to my front loader Samsung washer as it was recalled and had mold issues. I was looking for a High Efficient and Star Energy digital, glass top reliable machine. I may say that I was fooled by advertisement and promotion from the Advertisement and promotion from Home Depot. I did not know much about Maytag Brand but I was convinced by sales person and price promotion. Big Mistake! Huge! I am extremely dissatisfied with this washer, it doesn’t use enough water to cover the clothes! No matter which cycle you use, the clothes don’t come clean.I wash and re-wash my clothes and ending up paying huge water and electric bills as I have to use deep hot water wash each time and after rewash again! Not so High Efficient! After using this machine for just over 6 month all my white expensive towels turned gray and all my whites is no longer white. This washer ruin my clothes. Another problem that this machine doesn’t have small load quick wash and if you have a small load it will go through 50 minutes cycle and I still need another wash after all! If I would wash my king size comforter I still have to do it twice and it does NOT rinse all the water out! I thought I can do big load but this machine cannot handle big loads!My laundry days became a nightmare! I would not call this machine High Efficient at all! Company does bogus advertisement just to fool and attract consumers. This is terrible washer which make me think how possibly this machine is on the market and allowed to be sold? I did not notice problem till very late and I missed my 90 days return policy. Now I have to find another replacement. What a waste of money! I do not recommend this machine to my enemy. Please read reviews before buying this horrible machine. Do not miss your 90 days policy returns. Save your water and electric bills by avoiding Bravos XL. I am hoping that Consumer Protection will step in and evaluate numbers of complaints and will help those who were fooled and ripped off by such a false advertisement.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher on 12-26-2013. It was installed in early Jan. We did not buy an additional warranty. We put our faith in the Maytag name. We had no problems with our dishwasher. It was smooth and quiet. The one year warranty ended in Jan. 2015. In March of 2015, our dishwasher control panel began to go crazy. A short while later our Maytag shut down completely. Every now and then the washer will come on by itself. We will try and cut it off. It cuts off when it is ready. We have got quotes on getting it fixed by Maytag. With installation and tax, our Maytag Dishwasher cost us $649.22. Our complaint is the same complaint of thousands of other customers - the control panel. Maytag should have a recall and fix this problem. Maytags remedy for this problem is to sell a warranty for each year that a family owns the dishwasher. That is not acceptable. About 9 yrs ago, we remodeled our house. And when it came to appliances, I was vehement we were going to go with Maytag because of their great name and reliability (We have 7 sons and needed reliable appliances). Boy, was I ever wrong?! We have gone through 2 Maytag dishwashers and countless repairs to the Maytag dryer. And our top of the line refrigerator has been a piece of junk!Of course, shortly after the year warranty was up, the flimsy pieces of plastic holding up the shelves started breaking off. The repairman, who came to replace the cooling coil on the refrigerator, said those shelf plugs couldnt be fixed. The whole front of all drawers have come off as well. He mentioned that Maytag was going bankrupt and started compromising on fit and finish. And he said that we just happened to purchase in that time frame. Now, we have a compressor that needs to be replaced for over $500! I have, in my garage, a Gibson freezer from my grandma that is 40 yrs old, and literally the most reliable appliance we have. Never have we made any repairs to it!I called Whirlpool (since they bought Maytag) to tell about my horrible experience with Maytag, and let them know we have to replace these appliances. I asked if there was anything they could/would do (discounts whatever) to redeem their name. I was told that they would not be able to help at all. So, I told them that I would not give Whirlpool anymore of my business and warn anyone I could, not to buy Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana. Isnt there any appliance company out there who cares about customer service, a good name and a reliable product?!

Our 3-year-old Maytag refrigerator, MFF2558VEAZ, is forming a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. The ice partially melts for some reason, and then water leaks out at both bottom corners, usually once a day. Others have reported the same problem. Contact with a repair person is yet to be done. This must represent a factory defect.

I had a Maytag dishwasher that I purchased around 2005. I had no issues with it at all. Then, I got a notice that it was being recalled due to a fire hazard. My options were to either get a repairman to come out and fix it, or get a credit towards a purchase of a new dishwasher. I chose the second option. Even after getting a credit, the purchase cost was way more than my original dishwasher. I purchased the new dishwasher in June of 2010. Last spring (May 2012), I noticed a gap in my hardwood floors around the sink. A flooring rep looked around and said he would bet that theres a leak either at the sink or the dishwasher. I took off the front kick-plate to the dishwasher and discovered a wet spot. I monitored that area and discovered the leak coming from under the dishwasher (around the float switch). It wouldnt leak all the time, but every now and then, it would leak half to a full cup of water. I had the hardwood floor fixed (cost $350). At the same time, I schedule a service repair through Maytag. They sent a rep from a local repair company (Convenient Appliance Service, Inc.). The service rep couldnt identify the cause of the leak but said it was more than likely the seal around the door. So, I paid another $160 to get the repair done. I monitored the leak for a week and had no problems, so I put the kick-plate back on. In September 2012, I noticed a wet spot in front of the dishwasher. I took off the kick-plate and discovered that the dishwasher was leaking again. This time the leak was worse. It would leak 1 to 2 cups of water during a wash cycle. I called the repair company and they came out free of charge to take a look at it. The service rep said the float switch had gunk build up in it. He cleaned it out and said that should fix the problem. I monitored the area for 2 weeks and everything seemed to be fine. Last week (March 2013), I noticed some gaps in the hardwood flooring around the sink and dishwasher. I pulled off the kick-plate and discovered a wet spot. I ran the dishwasher and discovered that it leaked a ton of water (over 4 cups). I contacted the repair company that came out last time, and they said they would have to charge me $100 plus to come out and take a look at the problem. The rep recommended contacting Maytag. I contacted Maytag and they said I would either have to pay $129 for a service call (not including cost for parts), or $269 to get covered under their Repair Plus 1 program (everythings covered and it adds 1 year of warranty my dishwasher). I asked at what point Maytag would replace a dishwasher. The rep said when it is deemed unfixable. Other than that, they just keep coming out if I have issues. Part of me thought I need to cut my losses and just rip out the dishwasher and get a new one (cost somewhere around $700). But I went with the Repair Plus 1 program in hopes that they can resolve the issue. But Im definitely going to have to get the hardwoods ripped out again. It looks worse than before. It’s probably going to run another $500.

Maytag and Home Depot do not back their products or assist customers. While repair my fathers home in Grand Junction Colorado, Home Depot workman grabbed the 30 year old washer and dryer by the controls and promptly destroyed the machines. No - Home Depot didnt do anything despite complaints. I bought a brand new Maytag Washer and Dryer for the Grand Junction, Colorado home. The famous Maytags that are called dependable only lasted 3 months. When I went to complain at the Grand Junction Home Depot - the manager - Cheryl - called me a lair when I said I left phone messages for her. Cheryl seems to represent the best of Home Depot when she doesnt assist customers - is nasty and calls them liars when they say they left phone messages for her. No - Home Depot would not back their selling Maytag, and worse, they wont assist you in finding how to contact Maytag. Cheryls response was - Contact Maytag. Good bye. I was not given a contact or phone number - nothing. I spent over $32,000 at Home Depot fixing up my fathers home and rentals and this is how Home Depot treats customers. Worse I have a worthless Maytag that ceased working after just 3 months. Yes - you may contact me, yes - you may use my name and yes - I will blog on the internet the nastiness of Home Depot in Grand Junction, and the poor quality and poor customer service with Maytag.

I have a washing machine that I purchased in August 2010 that is not working. A certified Maytag technician came out and informed me that the shifter assembly went bad and needs to be replaced. The machine is only 19 months old and they are telling me it will cost $352.25 to replace this part. I only paid $549 for the machine. This was a poorly manufactured part and a very expensive repair for a newer machine. This part did not give out to normal wear and tear. I just spoke to a supervisor at Maytag customer service and she said Maytag would not replace the part or offer any kind of discount. I am so disappointed in this answer and type of customer service from a major corporation. I am willing to pay for the labor (not that I should have to), but had hoped Maytag would at least help with the cost of the part. Basically, Im out of luck because the machine is no longer within the one year parts warranty. I will never buy Maytag again.

I wrecked on a bike, had surgery and in a wheelchair. I bought and had a Maytag dishwasher delivered from Beaumont Home Depot and this mdb7749sbw2 model never never worked. Home Depot told me I had to bring it back myself (Im in a wheelchair at the months that was impossible) and I called Maytag warranty. They sent a tech. He replaced a front power panel that didnt work. They sent out two more techs and they said use other soap Lemi Shine and the other guy said use Finish and turn your hot water heater all the way up. That never worked either. I have had this a yr and it just sit there and money in the trash. It makes me sick.

We paid for a brand new washer and dryer from Maytag/Whirlpool. Right on the machines it has stamped in a metal plate 10 year warranty. So at 4 years when my washer started screeching and smoking I called for service. Yes, there had been a leak that burned out something in the engine and the bearings were shot etc etc. But they have been back 3 times. Each time they lack some part. I first called them on July 29, 2020. Today is October 13, 2020. They have still not got the washer repaired. I need to do wash every day. We are a family. We also have a senior in her 80s. And dogs. I need to do wash every day. So for weeks I went to the laundromat. That cost a fortune. Then a couple of weeks ago I impulse bought a new washing machine. A Samsung. On sale. Doesnt match the Maytag dryer. And the old washing machine got moved out to the garage. Its the pandemic. I cant keep going to the laundromat. What good is a warranty if Maytag/Whirlpool always has excuses for why they dont have parts. Its the motor. The very basis of the machine. It took them 2 weeks just to look for one. You wouldnt believe the excuses they make when we talk. But I am really unhappy with the way it all worked out. What good is a repaired machine 3 months later than I needed it. I had to buy a new machine. Why didnt they just tell me to do that on day 1 so I could avoid the laundromat. Why are they spending so much money to basically repair everything in that washer when they could have just bought me the new machine. When is a warranty not a warranty at all, but just a big lie?

Purchased Maytag Centennial Washer and Dryer (MODEL MVC300VWI) at Home Depot 3 yrs ago. After 6 months, washer started to rust. Maytag told us It was not their problem. A 6-month old washer should not rust! Poor quality + poor customer service. Dont buy!

Washer broke down after one year. The washer stop in the spin cycle. Called many times - got no satisfaction. Still using local laundry mat. Very disappointed. Always thought Maytag was top of the line. I guess I was wrong.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher in July 2013. In October 2014 it stopped working. None of the buttons on the control panel would light up. The service technician diagnosis was that it needs a new control panel at a cost of about $200.00. We chose not to do the repair since the technician recommended against it.

I have had nothing but headaches with our washer. We purchased it 4 years ago and after using it for a few months, I took it out because our clothes came out smelly and unclean. Called Maytag and they did nothing. So we went back to a regular washing machine and put this machine in the corner of the basement. I refused to throw away a $1,100.00 machine! So this year our machine quit, so we decided to try using the machine again to save us some money instead of buying another one... Well, that lasted for only a short time. Clothes still smell, came out unclean and just yesterday, the machine stopped rinsing and spinning! This machine has barely been used and its been nothing but trouble. Maytag service just plain sucks. They dont care about their consumers. I will never buy a Maytag again and I always let everyone I know to not buy this type of machine.

Bought Bravos XL washer/dryer from Home Depot in November 2014; installed 12/8/14. First repair was in March 2015! Clean machine cycle quit working properly on 3rd attempt. Bearings were replaced, tub was replaced and main board was replaced all before May 2015. Wash load constantly becomes unbalanced if more than 3 bath towels are in the load or more than 2 pairs of jeans. Can not start a load of wash and leave home because the machine will start bouncing and rocking when unbalanced and will shut down after it tries to self-balance 3 times. You end up with a load of twisted up, totally wet mangled clothes. Maytag refused to replace the machine and Home Depot continues to sell this junk to unsuspecting buyers. Wish I had looked at reviews before I bought this model. Worst $1,200 Ive ever spent. I have always bought Maytag appliances--refrig, stove, dishwasher, microwave, other washers--but Maytag has lost me as a customer after this experience with them. Terrible design and poor customer service for not standing behind their products.

My Maytag dishwasher MDB7749SAM is not quite 5 years old. At the end of December 2016 a bubble appeared on my vinyl floor. The plumber could not find any broken pipes or reason for any moisture to have gotten under the flooring. A flooring company did not know what was causing the bubble, moisture or the vinyl glue had failed. The floor got worse and worse, more bubbles.Called the flooring company again. Raised the register cover and could see all the moisture under the vinyl and underlayment. Plumber discovered the dishwasher fill valve had failed but because there was so much insulation on the kick plate, at the bottom of the dishwasher, it forced the water, which was in a pan under the dishwasher, to push the water to the back by the wall and under the flooring. Plumber said, the insulation acted like a dam to keep the water from showing in the front of the dishwasher. The first and subsequent bubbles, in vinyl were 3 feet away from the dishwasher. No way to tell the dishwasher had the problem. Has anyone experienced this problem? If not, take care to remove the kickplate and check your dishwasher for water problems.

The washer is so loud it can be heard all over my home (my home is 2700 sq.). It sounds like metal to metal grinding. I was told thats how the run and the first bit of water isnt enough to even wet the clothes. Id never buy another one (even though this is my 3rd Maytag washer. Im 78 yrs.old).

We purchased a Maytag Bravos washer & dryer in September 2012 and 2 1/2 years later March 2015, no heat. We called a repairman and he said heat element went out. When researching this problem online I was shocked how many people had the same problem as we have. It cost over $300 to fix and I am concerned that it will just break again and again after reading these reviews. I think that a class action lawsuit may be needed so that this unfortunate situation does not continue to happen to other consumers.
