Low water level resulting in poor cleaning. Very poor design. Requires 2 rinses so the water savings of the wash cycle is a joke! Im very disappointed with the so-called Maytag quality. If doing very very small or handwash loads it work somewhat ok! Would never buy Maytag again!!

We have a 3 year old washer dryer. The wash stopped working so we called Maytag directly to have their repair person come look at their product. Little did we know that they sub contract repair to local companies I could have contacted myself. After being told the authorized dealer was Maytag I soon found out it was not a Maytag employee. The man who came has no idea what is wrong and is guessing at issues. Once a installed part is not the cause he wants to try something else but we have to pay for him to trial and error.We have spent hundreds of dollars and yet our washer is still broken. We have decided to go buy another washer as this is our cheaper option (it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool). When I tried to talk to ** (Maytag manager who lied on the phone to me and was very rude) manager I was talking to refused and told I had to file my complaint with her co-work. I have never heard of this! We will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool (same company) as our dishwasher after 1 year 3 months old needed a new motor total repair $450.00. Their products break down early.

Purchased a Maytag washer for my family of 8 because we do a lot of laundry and our Samsung washer failed after 3 years. I thought Maytag was a more reliable brand and was hopeful. The machine stopped working after less than 4 months of service. Manufacturers warranty repair came out and said it needed three new parts, motor, clutch and chip - said it would be another 2-3 weeks depending on parts. So all total without a washer for 4 weeks minimum - call the customer service people (first one was rude and short), 2nd one after 45 minutes on hold - told me the were no other options other than wait for the repair. Four months after a brand new washer and it failed. I requested a replacement option and they said no way. Their hotline talks about a positive customer experience and that seems to be a joke. Not helpful, super frustrated and they do not seem to care about the customer experience at all - terrible product and service

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher April 6th, 2011. Its only 3 years old and now the control panel isnt working properly. Specifically, the start button. Contacted Maytag Customer Care service and they could not help me other than charging $80.00 for the Maytag Man.. which by the way, we arent suppose to see because of their superb quality in appliances. I just purchased this Maytag Commercial Technology Washer and Dryer on August 31st, 2018 and We hooked it up today Sept 4th 2018. I put a small load of towels in this machine and it said it would take an hour and thirty seven minutes to wash. I added my detergent and pressed all of the necessary buttons and started the load. the machine started spinning and testing and adjusting. I waited to hear the water start to come into the washer but nothing. I then checked my water lines thinking they are not on but they were. Through the smokey glass on the washing machine, I could see water dripping as if it is hooked up to a slow drip IV Machine.I am taking this thing back ASAP!!! First thing in the morning on Sept 5th 2018 I do not need to call Maytag Customer Service because they know it is a piece of junk, so I do not need to waste a moment with this crap on my property. I see Maytag does not believe in a QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT because that department would put a stamp of approval on this Junk for distribution.No Washing machine should take more than 30 minutes (40 mins max) to wash no clothes. I will have to invest in an old school scrub board and rocks, then I can understand an hour and thirty minutes worth of wash time. I have set the timer on my phone when I started this load and My towels have been in the washer for an hour so far and I can still hear the slow IV DRIP OF WATER going. I just checked the machine and the digital reading is saying it has an hour and thirty three minutes to go. there is no water in the tub of this washing machine. The towels are wet from the IV drip and the machine is now pretending to agitate the dirty towels but it is only going in one direction. It is truly a sad state of affairs, your hard earned money gets you nothing but junk and a runaround.

Ive owned my Maytag Neptune front loader since 2003. Since then, the whites have either turned gray or yellow. Ive tried minimizing the use of Tide HE, maximizing its use, and I still get the same results. Can anyone please assist me with this major problem? Purchased a Maytag front loader and matching dryer in Sears and have had nothing but problems with both since the beginning. CWG3600AAS13 - I purchased this advertised as Double Oven. It is NOT - its an oven w/ broiler. The oven shuts off completely during cooking time and comes back on approx. 2-3 mins. This takes place often and loses heat. I have to adjust cooking times and oven temp to make up for the loss. This also happens when broiling. Needless to say it takes MUCH longer to broil anything. When I notified Maytag of this, they responded with it is an open door broiler. Are they serious? I have 2 dogs and 11 grandchildren - burn factor anyone? (P.S. It did not change anything.)

I bought the Maytag Bravos X, last year. The silver color and glass top fooled me into thinking this was better quality than it is. This washer is very easy to go out of balance. I had to open the top (easy) and install/glue a little styrofoam, to limit the amount the tub could travel. Second unresolvable problem is how to wash anything larger than ONE outfit. If you watch the videos, and read the information, this washer is supposed to flip your clothes so whats on top makes it to the bottom for agitation. Ha! Absolutely BS. Unless you wash a very small load single level. The clothes in a TYPICAL size load will sit exactly as you loaded it.the only attention the top layer of clothes is only sprayed with water, no agitation. Hope you dont have kids. Doesnt XL mean extra large? It sure does, you can wash one pair of extra large pants, and or one extra large shirt.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer in late 2007. We had a one-year warranty on the set. At just over 2 years, we started having problems with the washer. It started making a loud noise when spinning and started beeping all the time during the cycles. We contacted Maytag and they said the only thing they could do for us was to sell us an extended/repair warranty for $320.00. If the cost of fixing the machine was too much, they had the option to replace it with another machine equal to the value of the machine in todays market, or cash, or a gift card equal to that.We were angry about the cost of the warranty and we were unemployed at the time and couldnt afford that so we just had to let it go. The machine progressively got worse where only two of the cycles would work, but not without beeping several times where you had to fix the load, and the sound got so loud it sounded like you had a jet plane just overhead. Just the other day it completely quit working. We have been in contact with Maytag several times but their only answer is their repair warranty. Weve talked to numerous appliance repairman, who all knew exactly what was wrong because they have seen it so many times, and they told us that we have several things going wrong with the machine we would probably need a new drum, a new drain pump and a new control board.We were told that it would cost more to just buy the parts than it would be to buy a new machine. In the course of our phone calls to Maytag, they have continually told us that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do, in fact they only have record of two of our calls (how convenient!). Since experiencing the issues with the machine, we have researched it online and found that scores of consumers are dealing with the exact same problems we are having which shows that there are defects in the manufacturing of these machines. Maytag should be forced to fix these problems. They are well aware of them and they should have to back up their products.There should be a class action lawsuit out against them. We were told by an appliance repairman that Whirlpool (who bought out Maytag) has a washer called Cabrio that is the exact same model as the Bravo and that they do have a class action lawsuit out against this model. Consumers that purchased the Bravo should be included in that lawsuit. I am stuck with a broken down washer, mildewing clothes and dont know where to turn outside of paying out the money for the extended warranty with no guarantee of what we would get out of it, purchasing a used set with no guarantee, or putting out the expense for a new set.This set was an expense set and we went with Maytag because they used to have a good reputation, but we feel like we have been totally cheated. If the appliance companies were forced to offer a longer warranty on their products, they would have to manufacture them at a higher standard. I owned an front loading Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer MAH5500 for more than 10 years and first 5 yrs doing 2-3 loads a day for a family of 12 so this machine held up well, and only issue we had with the machine was the rubber around outside needed to be replaced after about 9 yrs.

In 2011, I purchased 2 Maytag dishwashers, one for my tenant and one for myself. In 2014, the circuit board on my tenants dishwasher failed, when the unit was only 3 years old and of course out of warranty. I first contacted a local repair person, and he informed me that the repair plus service would be close to $300. When I contacted the company, after about an hour on the phone, they agreed to send their authorized repair service person and after his evaluation, would repair the unit with no charge to me, as a courtesy. This whole process took about 2-3 weeks. I felt that was fair. It is now 2015, and my unit, which I purchased at the same time and the same type, now is not working due to a faulty circuit board. My tenant uses her dishwasher more frequently, and that is most likely why her circuit board went first. This is a design flaw, or perhaps planned obsolescence. At any rate, Im not happy with this, and my model is mdb7809awb2, and serial # is FO4205659. Do you know if there have been any other complaints on this? After considerable wait times, I spoke to someone who set up a diagnostic repair call, giving me the impression that Maytag would cover it. I called Maytag again, and they agreed to let the repair company charge back the diagnostic fee. After diagnosing the problem, it was determined the problem was the control panel and not the circuit board. The cost to repair with tax came to $315.85 and it was only this low because the repair company waived the return service trip. I can get a new dishwasher for a little over $400.00. I am very disappointed in Maytag, because I remember the commercials where the Maytag repair man was bored because the products were so dependable they never broke. My unit is only 4 years old, and its sad that it costs so much to repair it.

We bought a Maytag oven in Late October 2018. On January 22, 2019 the oven quit heating. Since it was still under warranty we called Maytag and they sent out a contracted service technician. The service tech said the circuit board had gone bad, and said it would be 5 to 10 days for part to come in. After a month the part still had not come and service tech was not returning calls. We called Maytag after another week and they provided very little help other than, We will contact service tech. Service tech never called us nor did Maytag call back. Called Maytag back on 3.10.2019 and asked how we could get this part and oven fixed. Customer service representative was not very helpful as they asked for part number which she was told was a circuit board and the tech they sent did not give that to us. After the customer service rep continued to provide any help other than say call service tech they sent out. I asked what if they replaced it for us since we have been without now for almost as long as we have owned. She stated Maytag does not do this except in extreme cases. I asked what is considered extreme cases. She stated she did not know. At this point I asked if she could transfer me to her supervisor and sat on hold for an hour, then had to leave for work. Very disappointed with Maytag and their lack of support to back their product.

Maytag top load washer. I dont understand why Maytag would make such a piece of crap. It takes so long to wash, that I can only wash a couple of loads a day. It doesnt fill. It doesnt get the clothes clean. My electric bill is higher. Its so noisy too. Never thought Maytag would make such garbage.

Bought this washer and dryer 3 1/2 years ago mainly because of Maytag name and reputation. They were very expensive to purchase. The washer is a piece of junk 3 1/2 years old used for my wife and I and leaks oil all over the floor. Called repair man to come and look at it, wasnt here 5 minutes said transmission is shot. Cost over $400 to have it repaired. We are junking it and that will be the last Maytag product I ever own.

Bought this machine last spring with high hopes. When I noticed issues, I looked up other reviews and saw so many having the same experiences. It does NOT use enough water to clean or rinse the clothes. My clothes are getting stretched and worn. I have to run extra rinse cycles to get the detergent out of my clothes. For the cost of this machine, it should be working much more efficiently than it does. Not seeing any savings in electricity or water bill due to extra cycles needed. Waste of time and money. Would love to join a class action suit against them for the piece of junk!

I am extremely disappointed with Maytag and the representatives I spoke with this evening. One laughed after I told her I was 7 months pregnant and without a fridge for a week after owning it less than a year. I was repeatedly and curtly told, We dont cover that, when I asked only to replace the recent food I had purchased. After having to request a manager several times, I was put on the phone with Dana ID ** who said she would not be able to help with any food despite the delay of a week for repairs to our fridge. However, she could extend our warranty for 6 months.The only reason we were able to get someone out as early as we did was because we knew a licensed Maytag service repair company. Otherwise, we would still be waiting for someone to come out to tell us it would be another week before repairs. The originally assigned service repair company by Maytag did not return our call. There was no concern or empathy from the Maytag representatives that I was pregnant and could have eaten food that was not cooled to prevent bacteria growth that would harm me and my baby.Even their service repair technician recommended to contact them about the spoiled food since it was impossible for the repairs to be completed before the end of the week. We will never purchase Maytag again. The appliance failed with no warning in less than a year, and the representatives made no effort to resolve our issue of being without food for a week.

Purchased the Neptune washer & dryer in 2002. Did not purchase any additional warranty. I have had Frigidaire, Kenmore and Speed Queen washers previously and used them until they quit. I have not had any problems with either the washer or dryer. No mold, no smell, nothing. I did laundry for 2 children and 2 adults, 6 to 8 loads per week with half being heavily soiled work clothes. I still wash 3-4 times a week. I was able to wash & dry king size blankets and comforters for the first time with this set. Washer and dryer are located on the main floor of house and are the quietest units I have ever owned. They may quit tomorrow, but they have done the job that they were designed to do. I am well satisfied with the quality and performance of both units and would not hesitate to purchase Maytag appliances again.

Buy this washer! It has the best features! No matter what the setting, your clothes will come out as dirty as you put them in, only with even more odor! I just cannot believe how many different settings they managed to program into this washer, each one delivering the same miserable results. I am so happy that I spent so much money on a washing machine, that in some cases, doesnt even get my clothes wet. Truly amazing technology!

We purchased a dishwasher (Maytag) two or three years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with it. The welds on the upper rack broke. The wheels on the low rack keep falling off. Water leak happened recently. The start button broke. My wife and I decided to just get a new one rather than keep sinking maintenance costs which are going to keep adding up.

My Neptune dryer purchased in November 2005 had the drum crack at about three years old. I complained so much that they finally agreed to send a replacement drum for free. Now, two years later, the drum has cracked again and tore through the housing on the front of the dryer. The repairman said it would be too expensive to repair. Consumers, beware.

In my owners manual, the description to replace the oven light shows a simple process of removing a glass bulb cover within the oven itself and then unscrewing the ordinary looking light bulb. However, Maytag made a design change and now uses a complete unit that combines the bulb, the glass cover and the bulb holder. This requires you to pull the stove out from the wall, open up the back of the oven, bend some retaining tabs around the light unit and then remove the whole unit.The killer is, Maytag has made this disgusting, usurious design change in order to force you to pay over $50 US plus taxes and shipping for the replacement unit, instead of $6 CDN ($4.50 US) for a light bulb that you can buy anywhere and can easily change yourself in a couple of minutes within the oven itself. But now you will probably have to call in a repair guy to make this replacement for you. When manufacturers start doing things like that, its time to stop buying their products. I will certainly never use Maytag again, and Ill make sure any other oven manufacturer Ill consider is not doing anything similar.

I bought this POS and paid almost 1000. Out the door with tax, hoses, delivery, etc. And it is by far the worst most useless pile of crap I have ever purchased. It just does not work!!! Its a washer that does not wash. It uses enough water to wash one sock and that still comes out stinky.. All my clothes no matter what cycle I use including deep fill power wash or if I add my own buckets full of water to the 1.5 hour wash cycle still come out dirty, stinky, stained and caked with detergent...Hey Maytag heres a hint. You need water to wash clothes and you need agitation to get out the soil, the dirt, the sweat, the stains, the stink and your washer does none of that. In fact I could get my clothes cleaner if I out them in the bath tub and swished them around with a broom stick for 3 mins. Electric stove range is great. It was very affordable, this stove is very easy to clean and wipe down on the outside. I had it for 4 years and had no problem with it. Would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget. It also has a warranty which is also a plus.

Purchased a new Maytag dishwasher just under 1 year ago. After a 5 months it started not working. We called the dealer - who gave us a number to call because it was under warranty. We called the number and it took days to get someone to look at it and not fix it. It needed a new part. Its been over a week now and we havent heard anything, and still no working dishwasher. Our last two dishwashers lasted over 18 years. Kenmore and Whirlpool, never had any issues. This is our first Maytag. Service has been snail pace slow. Dont buy a Maytag dishwasher unless you want to spend your life washing dishes.

I bought my microwave in Nov of 2015. We began having problems in April 2017. When you cook or warm something up it gets hot. The light wont come on and the display continues to say open/close door. After about 4 hours of cool down time it may or may not restart. After contacting Maytag I was told I should have purchased the warranty. They also informed me that they do not have repairman in my area. We have just replaced all appliances with Maytag so now I am concerned they are all junk. We did buy warranties on the major appliances, but how will they repair with no repairman in my area. Maytag used to be the best appliances but after this experience and now I have a broken microwave after only a year and a half that they dont stand behind, I will never purchase any Maytag again. It also seems that this is not the only issue they are having with their microwaves. I have contacted my Lowes where we purchased and they even made a Maytag call with no results. Maybe the suppliers should stop promoting and selling their items. We replaced a 22 yr old Kenmore microwave that was still working thats why this is so heart breaking. Stand behind your products. No wonder you dont have repairman. They would never get a day off from repairing your junk.

Buyer beware. This machine has received several complaints. Not long after purchase, the washer started to stop during the fill cycle and give an error code no. This is supposed to be sure to overloading the machine. The other reason they give is something stuck item the baskets. Again not the case. Supposedly it must be a motor issue. Maytag was my trusted band. Our last Maytag lasted us almost twenty five years.I was excited to get this machine but disappointed with the lack of clean clothes, error codes, and noisy operation. My first clue should have been the one year only warranty. Thats how much they believe in their products. Ill never trust Maytag again. Around three years ago, my wife and I bought a top loading Maytag washing machine. It worked fine at first but later on, my wife would constantly find socks at the bottom of the machine after the washing machine was done. The last straw was when another sock plugged up the pump and had to buy a new washing today on 12/29/15. My wife told me tonight that the serviceman told her that they were getting similar complaints from other people who were having that same problem with this particular washing machine made by Maytag. If I knew that Maytag knew that there was a problem with this particular washing machine of theirs that I would never had bought another washing machine from Maytag on 12/29/15 at all. I wish that Maytag would stand behind their product instead of selling this defective product to unknowing customers like me and countless others who thought they were buying a top notch washing machine from Maytag.

Does not wash. Only very small loads get washed even though it claims to wash bedding. Some clothes NEVER get wet. Many times the clothes have to be rearranged and re-washed AND extra rinse. Cycles are over an hour each (then multiply x2!!). Maytag service has been called MULTIPLE times. They replaced the touch pad then the computer board. Both times saying the machine works “according to design/specs”. This is a Very poor design. Maytag should recall this inferior machine as it does not perform the job it is being sold for.

MDB8959SBB. Purchased this Maytag dishwasher late December 2013 and had it professionally installed on January 4, 2014. Could have burned down the house this weekend! Smoke everywhere! Thank goodness it was running during the day and not night so that we were able to shut off the power. Lights in the kitchen were blinking and smoke pouring out of the dishwasher. Maytag 6.2 Induction Freestanding Range Model MIR8890AS0 F47 - I am a very careful shopper. I spent many, many hours researching and searching for the best value. It took me over 2 weeks of research to find an induction oven we could afford. We are a family of 3. Normally, we use just one burner for dinner. We bought the range in Feb 2013. On August 5. 2014, we had company over for dinner. I used more than 2 burners and the oven at the same time and the right 2 burners quit working; I now have the dreaded F47 code. I have had numerous Maytag Authorized repairmen out. They ordered every part except for the one that was necessary to fix my stove. I purchased in Feb 2013, burners went out 8/5/14. This is only 18 months old and is JUNK. Arent our landfills full enough?Maytag customer service is awful. I spent hours on the phone, mainly on hold, in efforts to get help. Maytag claims to have such a great 10 year limited warranty but they wont warranty this F47 issue. Thank God I bought insurance with an outside company. The wrong parts that were ordered were at least covered by my own insurance policy; no thanks to Maytag. I am angry that I have to search all over again to try and find the right stove. I am now fearful of induction. I invested in a lot of induction cookware which was an added expense and burden! They need to stand behind their appliances!People cannot afford to waste thousands of dollars every 1.5 years to cook their meals! This has been an extremely unpleasant issue. It has cost me many hours of waiting for repairmen, waiting on hold, getting and storing many wrong parts ordered by repairmen. I calculate this cost me over 50 hours of my life on the F47 problem. Not to mention the time it took me to shop for this junk to begin with!I think they need to recall this issue as it is clearly a design flaw. I researched this and found many other owners had similar problems. The F47 means that the user interface isnt communicating with the range (the circuit board). They placed the circuit board under the burner surface area, sandwiched between the burners and the oven. It was just a matter of too much heat before this board shorted out. The cost to replace this board is over $600. I am afraid of investing another dime into this machine. I wasted time, energy and A LOT of money on this inferior product.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator (single-door) with a top-loading freezer that failed after four years. The freezer began to ice up and two repairmen from the company that does the extended warranty repairs in the Ottawa area were unable to figure out the problem. After the second visit, the freezer iced up again and the thermostat appeared to be failing. Even though we had an extended warranty, we just gave up and went to a different dealer to buy a new refrigerator that could be delivered within three days - and it wasnt a Maytag or any other of Whirlpools brands. If youre thinking of buying a Maytag refrigerator, you should reconsider. In fact, you should twice before buying anything made by Whirlpool.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer several years ago, and I have hated them ever since. The clothes smell and are wrinkled. The dryer never gets the clothes dry. It will run and run and run, and the clothes will still be wet. I previously owned a Maytag Washer/Dryer for nearly 20 years and never had a problem. This set is a piece of junk. When I go to Lowes or any store for that matter and see someone considering this product, I warn them as quickly as possible to stay away from this product. I will continue to do so. Shame on you, Maytag, for making such a horrible product and for being too weak to stand behind your product. I will never buy Maytag again and will do my best to make sure none else does either.

We bought a Bravos washer 13 months ago and its been problem after problem. We had 6 service calls and the problems continue. From bearings being replaced to sensors to error codes, and now the washer drips water. This is the worst washer I ever owned.

The machine started having issues within a week of purchase. The current issue is, when running the clean cycle, the washer becomes stuck in a mode where it is constantly adding and duping water down the drain. First time it happened, I started the clean cycle before going to bed. In the morning the machine was still in the clean cycle. Running water in the tub and pumping back out down the drain. The water heater ran all night, as the washer was filling and draining the tub at the same time. Each time we attempt run the clean cycle, the washer locks up in this mode.This is the only issue I have had. Many people complain about wrinkled clothes and I agree. I take each garment out the washer and shake it out before putting it in the dryer, this makes a huge difference. Just remember, this is not your mothers washer. It does a great job at cleaning the clothes and saves many gallons of water a month.

To begin with, the Bravos 300 washer was bought because we owned a Maytag previously and it was with us for 25 years. It was still running when we gave it away and the only problem was a small oil leak starting at the drive. The new washer has no agitator, just the new style flat thing at the bottom of the tub. You cannot wash a set of fitted sheets without it turning into a tangled mess. The washer quit working after about 5 years and all indications pointed to the control. The control would reset after unplugging, but would freeze immediately when you tried to enter a command. We live in an isolated place and it is not feasible to fly in a service person. I ordered a new control, but there was no change in function. After several hours of detective work, it turns out that the mickey mouse plug for the electrical connection at the pump had broken inside. Because the pump would not work, the whole control would freeze. We will never buy another Maytag.

I give the product lowest and poor rating. The bearing in our washer went bad 4 months after we bought it. For the fourth time, they are coming out to repair the washer on 01/11/2012.

Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. Best washer and dryer I have ever owned. I have owned about every major brand and these are by far the best. My husband is a hog farmer and the washer does a great job. I will always purchase Maytag appliances.

As with everyone else here I have had my second control panel go here. In the five years I have owned it the first was covered by an extended warranty that I had purchased when I bought it, the tough part is I was forced to buy another Maytag at a higher price because of a recall for dishwashers catching on fire. I found out about this by accident.

Maytag washing machine Model # MHWE500VW - 2 control boards only last 4 years. I paid top dollar, $1229.00 to be exact and the parts and labor are $659.00 with no guarantee that there wont be further problems. Technician told me that this is typical of Maytag products. Contacted Maytag and they told me to take a hike and have a nice day. I will attempt to get some help from the place of purchase, Hamai Appliance, Maui, Hawaii.

Maytag washer, top loader, Bravo series: We purchased Maytag washer and dryer 4 years ago. Last week, the washer started sounding like a 747 was landing in our laundry room. Maytag sent a service representative and informed us that the bearings were faulty and it would cost at least $800 to fix. It is appalling that a 4 year old appliance should fail like this. We will buy a different make and we will never buy any Maytag appliance again. This is such poor quality and worse service. Maytag would only offer a 30-40% off a washer, but only if we bought it directly from them. We can get a better offer from any local store. They also said we could get a discount on the part we need, but not the service. Do not, I repeat, do not buy Maytag anything. You will regret the purchase.

The refrigerator had to have repairs in first year. Maytag was aware of freezer issues and reluctantly finally replaced the parts. I had to argue with repairman because he tried to tell me that the freezer was too full.

Range is at least 20 years old and everything still works w/o issues. Our model has an upper level and a larger lower level that is a convection oven also. The top one heats up real fast which is great for quickly cooking and reheating. The lower one is large enough for everything else.

Bought a Maytag Washer, in 2010 the Bravo. Good looking washer and dryer. I bought a 4 yr warranty for both. My washer has needed service every yr of the warranty, leaks and has stopped running. Now it is out of warranty and it is leaking again. Was just fixed a little over a year ago. I am now seeing a lot of rust around the top of the washer. It has just about covered the one port where you put the bleach in. The seam around the top in the crease is full of rust. My dryer is fine, bought them both at the same time. I have never seen this on a washer before. My mom has had her Maytag for yrs no problem. I bought these thinking they would last, boy was I wrong.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher #MDB7749SBM1 as part of a complete kitchen remodel less than 3 years ago. Maytag was a great product years ago so I thought I would switch from GE to Maytag thinking that I had purchased a quality set that would give me years of great service! What a bad choice to say the least! This dishwasher has never dried the dishes completely with heated dry option. I never cared for the plastic latch and metal catch option either since I caught water dripping from the bottom since the door must not have been completely shut even though the latch was secure.Most recently, the start option on the flat control panel will not work. After opening and closing door multiple times I can get the start option to light up and run the cycle. Added bonus to start option not working correctly is that when the dishwasher door is shut, it automatically runs hours later with no human interaction. The dishwasher lights were lit up like a Christmas tree at 7 am this morning and running a cycle. Guess it thought the dishes werent clean enough. I am going to price out a board and determine whether I will throw this piece of crap in the dumpster and find a different brand! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DONT BUY A MAYTAG DISHWASHER!

I just bought my first home and after well over 20 years of apartment living and not having my own washer & dryer I was so excited to finally be able to buy one! I decided on the Maytag/Bravos and even spent the extra $100 for the glass top. The high efficiency machine was delivered on August 8, 2016. My kids are grown so its just me; I do one load a week give or take. A week or so ago, I noticed the washer was taking an inordinate amount of time to go from sensing to washing and even longer to get into the washing cycle. This past weekend, it didnt work at all. Just sat for hours with the sensing and washing lights on, without actually washing the clothes. The machine was packed loosely with the correct amount of High Efficiency Detergent in the proper place. I called the #Sears store I purchased the appliance from (Braintree Ma.) and they said there was nothing they could do as it was past 30 days, gave me their customer solutions number which is basically a call center with people who I could barely hear and/or understand. They in turn gave me more phone numbers which seemed to me to be in the same call center. I want to return the 4 month old washing machine that doesnt work and I want my money back. Ive filed a report with the Massachusetts Attorney General Consumer Affairs Department. I will NEVER AGAIN shop at #Sears and I will NEVER AGAIN purchase a #Maytag appliance. I am beyond disappointed in #Sears and #Maytag, both names that used to mean quality and customer service. And if theres a class action lawsuit to be filed, please count me in.

Purchased from Lowes October 2014, paid $680.00. Now needs $600.00 in repairs for new springs and basket rim according to a Maytag appliance repairman.Washer is leaking in the front left. Repairman thinks I need 4 new springs and a redesigned taller basket rim to keep the water from pouring out over it. Yes, it is 16 months old!! Ridiculous!

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. So now I am trying to figure out what I can do but afraid I am going to replace it. Would Not recommend this product. Bravos XL MCT MVWB835DW1.

Same issues as many others here, had to replace the main control board a couple of months after the warranty period was up. Funny thing is though, I brought the old board into my local electronic repair shop thinking it might be worth getting it fixed in order to have a spare on hand in case the new one was also short lived... He told me he examined the board and there was nothing physically wrong... The problem he said was in the programming or firmware. Unfortunately, he said Maytag does not offer an update and there is no way to clone the newer version from my new board onto the old one so it was garbage. Seriously Maytag? Hundreds of dollars later in parts and melted groceries all because you wont issue a firmware update? Also have water leaking out of the bottom of the fridge late at night so Im never awake to troubleshoot it. Considering how sporadic it seems to be, Im guessing it must have something to do with the defrost cycle... Have to figure it out though as its starting to cause damage to the floor and leaking down to the basement :( Never again Maytag.

2011 model MVWC2oox W1- spin dry failure - We purchased above top loader in 2011 and have had no issues until now. Currently constant failures on spinning and drying. Spin cycle stops without getting up to speed and appears to be an unbalanced load sensor problem. Also draining is not completed (possible pump going bad). Area tech came out within a week as promise and ran the diagnostics and found no faults. Problem has continued. We do a load a week. Looking for better answers or a new washer.

Maytag will not fix 2 major issues with new $700 Maytag dryer bought from Home Depot who takes no responsibility. They wont return it. Maytag wont replace defective dryer unless technician from totem appliances cannot fix problem. The tech ordered a control board and timer. Only installed the timer. He did not fix 2 issues. Dryer never stops at OFF. Dryer leaves damp spots on any clothing whether small or medium large load. Was told by Maytag if damp spots then its OUR problem... our ventilation. No it is your sensor. Our model is ymedc465hwo serial m820. 07331. Bought in late Oct. 2018. Two supervisors later we are being sent to tech or tech company and played games with. All I know is Maytag sells defective dryers then wont replace them or fix main issue.

I purchased a Maytag 4-door model, a little over three years ago. A little over a year ago, I noticed small puddles of water around the bottom of my refrigerator on the floor. I blamed the dog for having accidents and shrugged it off. Well, after months of putting up with this I came to the realization that it wasnt my dog, so I started looking for leaks on the seal, etc. Thats when I realized that the entire floor of the freezer was one solid block of ice! So, I looked online for people that might be having the same problem. Sure enough, there are A LOT of us!!! Now to add insult to injury, I have to have a MAYTAG certified repairman come and look at what needs to be done! He only charges $85.00 just to come to my house!!!! Thanks MAYTAG, I spend $2500.00 for a refrigerator thats obviously defective, and still have to pay more to have it repaired!!!

The bearings and motor went out in less than 3 years. The warranty good - the dealer I purchased from Siano Appliance gave me credit to purchase another Maytag washer - which I had to purchase an additional warranty for $320. The new Maytag is less than 5 months old - the motor has been replaced and waiting on a tech now to fix it. It would not come on. SO in warranties I have paid over $640 and am still having issues with the new washer. The first time I purchased a warranty for 10 year - when the machine was replaced I had to purchase another warranty for that machine - now if I have to replaced this one that will be an additional $320. IS this legal?

I bought this Maytag oven (MEW 7627HB) to replace a 20-year-old GE double oven. Upon the first use, I found that it has noisy cooling fans which run continuously as soon as it is turned on and, for some time, after it is turned off. These fans make an irritating, loud, whistling noise. The dealer responded to my complaint, pulled the oven out and performed a complete system test. He then called engineers at the Whirlpool factory, who told him that the fans were a recent redesign made because the previous design didnt satisfactorily cool the electronic control circuit and that there was nothing to be done about the noise. After several weeks, the oven, when in use, continues to stink of overheated electronics. I fear it wont last long.Note that my old GE model, which also had electronic controls, didnt run a fan at all unless both ovens had been on for some time or the self-cleaning feature had been on for a while. And it didnt make a loud noise.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. The repair people that were sent to address the problem were great but the Maytag people did not care. I bought a new electric convection oven, the convection never worked. The repair people came out several times and checked and adjusted to try to fix the issues but the oven is totally inconsistent. Even the repair people thought I should have gotten a better response from Maytag! Maytag just said that I had a repair but not replace warranty - of course the warranty period is over now. I had trouble from the beginning, I would never buy another Maytag product. I thought that a company that supposedly has a great reputation would care more about their customer.

I purchased Maytag washer and dryer on 12/6/2011 and they required four repairs of the same problem. The bellow and rubber seal continually break and rip. Same issue all four times and Maytags response was to get a second opinion. Okay, same issue and same problem. Maytag does not warranty their machines for a full year and have yet to solve the problem with the machine.

We purchased a bottom freezer refrigerator from the Home Depot in 2013 and I am sorry to say this refrigerator does not deserve any stars. Immediately after the warranty was up our refrigerator started leaking all over the floor. The drain clogged and freezes up on the bottom under the freezer. When it becomes full, it leaks all over my hardwood floor. I have now become a slave to this refrigerator. Each week I have to open the freezer and get down on my hands and knees to break up the ice, scoop it out, toss it in the sink. I have spread the word and I hope anyone who reads this does as well. Never buy a Maytag product because not only do they make defective products, they wont own up to it and recall it.

Maytag Quiet Series 400. Only good thing is the 3 spray arms. The racks are arranged in the worst configuration so you cannot fit many dishes in. The controls are extremely confusing. They do not seem to work in a logical way. The manual is of little help in figuring out how to operate the machine. I dont use the drying feature, so the only options on the panel that work together are Normal and Hi Temp Wash. Ive never had a dishwasher that took 2 hours to wash, but the settings dont allow for a smaller load or shorter time. The rinse agent receptacle is confusing and difficult to understand and use. Way too complicated compared to earlier dishwashers that Ive used. Would not buy this one again.

I absolutely do not like the fact that you can’t choose what size load you have. The washer wants to do it for you but it is not very good at it. You have to fool the washer to get any kind of water level or just use the deep fill every time which is what I do in order to get the clothes clean! This defeats the whole purpose of trying to save water. Also there are too many settings. I mean we’re just washing clothes here not flying a jet. I personally would prefer dials instead of the digital instrument panel. So much easier.

So the reviews for the Bravos MCT online were pretty decent. We purchased our set from Lowes. However, the clothes dont turn over. I watched as long as I could (getting frustrated the longer I watched) to see how the clothes were going to get turned over and washed. All they did was get rubbed on the bottom of the pile where those agitator fins are. But they never got a good flipping so that the top of the pile was washed. I only had 4 normal size towels in there. So it isnt like I had too many clothes.So I called Maytag to tell them what I was observing and the gentlemen explained that it was counter-intuitive technology and that it seems like they wont come clean but he promised me by the time the load was done they would be clean. Yet - they did not come clean! The dirt on the towel was still there on the top of the load with dog hair. NOT TO MENTION SUDS!! Im so disappointed because the burden is on me to either take this set back or deal with it. Buyer beware - if you look at this machine and ask yourself how in the world will the clothes get clean - you are asking a great question! They dont!!

Maytag products are a waste of money! I purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer a couple of years ago during the Cash for Clunkers rebate where we were asked to give up our reliable machines for so called energy efficient new models. After spending over $1,000 on this fancy front load machine and having it installed, I go to use it the first time and it won’t work. It took me a month to get someone to come and repair the bad board on it. I then started to use it and after a year, the thing started making a horrible loud noise. I called the repair folks and they told me it is out of warranty. I called a local repair guy who told me that the drum is shot and that it will cost $700 to repair. So I got a total of 10 months of use out of this stupid thing. Thats $100 a month to do my laundry! I would be better of dry cleaning! I have searched the web and see that this is a common issue and that Maytag refuses to make this right. Well, I can choose to never buy a Maytag again. I hope that others will heed our advice and do the same.

First off I dont usually spend my time writing complaints; however, I feel Maytag is deserving of my complaint. Purchased dishwasher Model #mdbh979sab1 in 2013 and days before the 1-year warranty was up the front control panel quit responding, rendering the appliance useless. Got that fixed under warranty. Now about 1 year later guess what... Its got the same problem. Began to read others post on this site and found that this is a common issue. One person posted that her dishwasher began to smoke and nearly caught her home on fire. Maytag was kind enough to offer a paid service call and enrollment into their extended warranty program. I think Ill cut the umbilical cord on this one and go get something more reliable and doesnt pose a potential fire hazard.

My clothes come out extremely wrinkled and start piling after a couple of washes. I wash on cold and do not overload the machine. I am 64 years old and had always loved Maytag until I got this set 4 years ago.

My husband bought me a brand new Bravo Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2010. In May of 2011, we moved and the dryer hookup was electric instead of gas. My husband knew how much I love the dryer, so he surprised me with another Bravo dryer to match the washer. We put the other dryer in storage and were happy with our purchase until April. In April 2012, the dryer stopped working. It wouldnt dry the clothes at all, and every time we tried to dry, the dryer was filled with wet lint. We were only a week away from moving again, so we waited until we got to the new house. The new house had gas hookups. So, we put the dryer that didnt work in storage and were thankful we didnt get rid of the other dryer. Now, just a few months later, the gas dryer isnt drying and is having the same issues as the electric dryer. How very disappointing! Both dryers are broken now, and it has only been 2 years. Each dryer has gotten about a year of use and then both quit. My husband, I and my two-year-old dont do that much laundry to break 2 dryers. My old GE washer and dryer lasted for years and is still working. We gave them to my husbands aunt who uses them and loves them. I agree someone should start a class action against Maytag. These issues are ridiculous!

The new technology on the washers is useless and saves no energy or water. People figure out how to get more water in the tub and use that setting. There is not small or medium water fill anymore.

I am absolutely disgusted with this Maytag Bravos XL washer. Have owned it 6 months and cant wait to get rid of it. We live on a farm and have cattle. If jeans go in the machine with mud on them, they will come out with mud on them. I have tried soak, deep water wash, power wash. Nothing works. I might as well put a wash tub in my back yard and wash by hand. Anything black must be washed by itself as it will come out covered in lint. How did this machine ever go on the market? Expensive mistake. Please do not buy this machine.

After a year, the plastic parts of Maytag dishwasher is breaking and upstairs propeller is no longer running. Do not buy this product. I made that mistake.

Gemini Twin natural gas range - I bought this range approximately 18 months ago. I thought it had all the features I needed and it looked good -- looking good is just about all it does! If you are a real cook I would suggest you avoid this range. The burner controls are preset and it is impossible to turn the flame very low if a simmering heat is required. If you are making meringues, again, the oven heat cannot be turned to a cool enough temperature. Ovens bake/broil unevenly. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not because the flame is not hot enough, but because the pots sit far too high above the flame. Bad, bad design. Probably designed by someone who eats take-out!!

I have had this washer (Maytag Bravos) less than a year and it does not clean my familys clothes at all. I have had to throw away clothes that are stained and ruined because this washer does such a poor job of washing. For the cost of this appliance, I thought it would do an excellent job, only to be disappointed. I have owned other Maytag appliances without a problem. This one is a disaster and has turned me against Maytag.

Wish it was a French door style instead of freezer on top. Not good if you are tall. Other than that we are pleased with it but will look to trade for a French door style.

Things that I have read that are true: Rips clothes/towels/sheets. No real problems with motherboard like some have stated. Bought Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer in 2009. No real problems with the dryer, HOWEVER, may with the Washer. Had the pump go out in 2/2010 to the tune of $199.20 due to a small object in the pump. The repairman said it would just take a very inexpensive part from Maytag to prevent this. In 6/2012 washer not draining, clogged pump. All right, new to HE Washers, so told to use less detergent than detergent manufacturer recommends. $79.13 to fix clogged drain. Even though being careful with items in pockets, loose buttons, etc. AGAIN had pump go in 1/13, $214.22 (same problem cheaper in 2010, repair inflation). Wed noticed it was loud on the spin cycle (like a rocket going off) and were told at that visit the bearings would need to be replaced, and quoted approximately $280 to repair those. Havent fixed, waiting for something else to go wrong and then decide what to do with it. So in 4 years paying almost the purchase price of the unit (if I fixed bearings also). Crazy. If you bought a house and had to pay 4/5 of the house to repair it in that short of a time, no one would own a house!!!

Purchased the very top of the line Maytag Washer and dryer.. Top loader MVWB955FC1 washer. I got this huge washer and dryer because I was tired of paying $20 to have my Cal King comforter laundered. Bad idea.. Yes the comforter fits easily in the drum of the washer but it does not even come close to clean.. Why no agitator..? It leaves soap all over it in addition to the dirty laundry smell.. The dryer is better but it takes at least 3 cycles of taking it out and un-wadding it to get it all the way dry. Now my wife just hangs it on the line.It has been just over 3 years Feb 2017 since I bought both units from HH Gregg.. Now the top of the washer around the soap dispensing orifice has rust bubbling up worse than my 25 year old unit I put by the curb.. Maytag support is no help.. “Sorry rust is normal and it your unit is out of warranty”. I asked If this would have been covered under warranty.. NO!.. Not unless you report it within 30 days.. We only use it once or twice a week.. What terrible service..

Bought a Maytag French door refrigerator MFT2976AEM01 in August 2013. Started having problems before the refrigerator was a year old. I called to get it serviced and it took 4 months to get a repairman to check it out. He fixed one part and then ordered another part that he needed which took 3 months to get. After he replaced that part the refrigerator continued to have problems. The serviceman has been out to repair my unit 6 times so far. He has no confidence in the Service Engineers from Maytag. They recommended yet another part be replaced, however now Maytag will not cover the parts cost.They offered to let me buy a new fridge at a discount. After spending about $2700 in August 2013, I dont have the $ to spend again for a refrigerator. My refrigerator is so loud it has been waking me up for about a month now and I am sick and tired of it. Shame on Maytag for having such terrible customer service! I will never ever ever recommend a Maytag because this has been a nightmare!

Replaced a Maytag Bravos xl washer and dryer in 2015. First year was fine but almost right after the warranty period, the spinning cycle was loud. You cant even have a conversation near the washer. I put up with it after calling the repair department. Because I was told that it will cost as much to repair than buy a new washer. Now the washer does not drain when a small amount of cloth are in the washer. Dont buy this washer and dryer. Maytag is not as good as it once claim.

I read the reviews before I bought this washer, went to a major department store to buy it. This way I knew that I could get good support if something happened to it. Its been 3 months, I use the washer everyday. There are 4 adults in my building, they use it daily. I have never had a problem yet, the clothes come out cleaner than the front loader I have. It seems Maytag still makes a good product. I am the first to admit, when you make large number of products you will have some with a defect. But this washer the Centennial by Maytag works great.. Plenty of water in the tub, the clothes come out clean.. Maybe those people having problems need to stop buy at big box home centers. Theyre known for lumber not washers.

I bought this washer three years ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. Washing a load of clothes, it goes off balance constantly, large load, small load...it doesnt matter. The smell because of low water usage is awful, and the clothes dont come out clean. I have to buy a new one and that really stinks. Maytag youre off my list for purchases. These days its quality that will keep you in business. We are too smart for this garbage.

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Our motherboard on the washer went out after 2 years from purchase - just out of warranty. Motherboard was $550 so we bought a Samsung. Now our dryer has gone out for the second time. First time was the pulley assembly came apart. We self-repaired after watching YouTube. Now the motherboard has gone out on the dryer! I will NEVER buy another Maytag product. They are a waste of hard-earned money and have left me with piles of laundry numerous times. Maytag, you need a class action suit filed against you!

I bought a Maytag dishwasher, model # MDB7749AWW1, in April 2011 and the control panel just stopped working. Of course, Im outside the one-year warranty, but judging from the other reviews on this site, that doesnt really matter. A $500 dishwasher should last more than 17 months! I agree with the other consumers. The control panel on these dishwashers should be recalled. Obviously, its defective. Instead, Im being told I can either pay $250 for the repair plus a one-year warranty or $130 plus parts to cover a onetime fix. Ridiculous.

Maytag MCT Washer & Dryer - I bought the largest capacity to save time. However even my 6ft tall husband has problems reaching the bottom to remove clothes. Even worse is the lack of water to clean clothes, washes so long it wears clothes and they are still dirty. I tried to improve on my old Neptune and Id love to have it back. I may have to junk this washer. The dryer is very slow. Buying this set was tossing my hard earned money in the trash.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in March 2005. About every 8 to 12 months since Ive owned it, the control panel malfunctions and needs to be replaced. I was told by the repairmen (similar to the many other postings below) that the malfunction is due to a faulty design where warm moisture shorts out the electronic control panel. For a few years, I paid for a service contract. But this seemed quite unfair, given the regularity of the same malfunction. Given that this is such a common problem, isnt there some responsibility by Maytag? This is clearly a faulty design. What about the legal responsibility for a recall? Is it possible that, together with other aggrieved owners, a lawsuit against Maytag would be the appropriate action?

Same issue as everyone else. Bought the French door with middle deli drawer fridge November 2012 at Home Depot. After 2 1/2 years freezer drain froze up leaking water into the floor. Spent 6 hours fixing it. Now still less than 3 years old the ice maker is not working. Not a jam or water supply issue. Just dead. Looking into replacing the ice maker. Such a disappointment. Only thing this fridge is good for is its looks. Obviously common repeated defects. Wake up Maytag and accept some responsibility.

Centennial HE top loading washer - When I put the HE Tide powder in the washer, it does not always rinse well. I have to rewash often. I use very little soap.

Our Maytag dishwasher was just past the 1-year mark when the control panel stopped working. A certified Maytag repair service came out to diagnose just that and charged us $89. Maytag sent the user interface out to us, and my husband noted that there was absolutely no way that the part could be installed wrong. The wires could only go one way. The repair service (DSM Appliance Service) wanted another $120 to install it. We installed it, and it still doesnt work. Maytag will no longer assist us in any way. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. After investigating, I see that this control panel issue has happened many, many times; and I wonder why there hasnt been something done about it.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos from Lowes in early 2014. A few weeks after the motherboard fried and Lowes replaced it with a new one. Within my 1 year warranty the new machine had another fried motherboard. Maytag replaced it for free. Now less than a year later the motherboard is fried again. Needless to say I just purchased another washing machine. Definitely not a Maytag. Now I just have to deal with a dysfunctional piece a junk for a few days until I get my new one. After reading all the complaints on here and other sites, Im very disappointed with Maytag. These machines are obviously lemons and any good company should recall them. Mine will be going straight to the junkyard. I have no interest in having a washer that breaks down every 10 months. Definitely the last thing I will ever purchase from Maytag.

Bought a Maytag fridge model MFI2569YEM0 a few years ago. From the get-go, the ice machine would spit out ice hither and thither, mostly not into the cup or mug. Even when I held the cup up high into the dispenser orifice, I noticed it still spit out ice seconds after I released the cup, so ice cubes would spill onto the floor. Secondly, the vertical doors do not close well, and I must manually push them closed, especially the left door due to the poor design. (I noticed my neighbors more updated fridge has a better closing door. Forgot what brand, though.) Theres also rust forming on the front of the stainless steel fridge panel. It has penetrated through so I am unable to remove it.Lastly, this past week I walked into the kitchen stepping in a pool of water in front of the fridge. There was a sheet of ice accumulated on the bottom of the freezer. After some research, its likely the nipple in the back of the fridge that plugged up. I have yet to fix the problem, but so far, Maytag gets an F- in quality, and I will NEVER, EVER purchase any of their appliances again. I remember my parents washer dryer lasting 30+ years. Maytag, what happened???!!!

I dont know where to start. This machine (Bravo XL Top Load Washer) is ridiculous! When I finally figured out how to start it, it did not rinse or spin clothes. I cannot figure out how to get it to do that so Im stuck with a washer full of wet clothes. To add insult to injury, I cannot reach into the washer to retrieve them. I am 52 and all washers are designed by freakishly tall people with NO REGARD FOR WOMEN apparently! Poorly designed! Poorly engineered! What a piece of junk!

We owned the washer for 2 years and 2 days when we got a code F70. After searching online, I found hundreds, if not thousands, of reviews and self-help forums that show this product is in dire need of a recall. The problem I had is the motor control unit (MCU), which is a $225 to $275 part online. However, Maytag will only replace the board under extended warranty with a refurbished board that they say costs $330, whereas they say the new one is over $600. Why is it that Maytag charges double what everyone else charges? If so many people are having these problems, it is obviously a defect and should not be the consumer’s responsibility. It is obvious that this is too common of a problem.

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. ???? If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. ????

A year or so after purchasing our new home, we purchased new appliances. We thought Maytag was a good company to go with. We had serious issues with our 2005 Maytag bottom-drawer freezer refrigerator right off the bat. It arrived with a large dent in the door. They offered to take $50.00 off the price. We insisted on one without a dent. They replaced the refrigerator, and shortly after, the board and the ice-maker went out right away.Although the parts were under warranty, we had to pay for the labor. The refrigerator is 6 years old and now it is making a constant knocking sound. We paid a lot of money for what we thought was a quality appliance. What a joke. We had also bought a new Maytag washer and dryer set and they fell apart after 5 years. It’s the same with the Maytag dishwasher. Do not buy Maytag appliances. They are cheap. They fall apart. The customer service is poor. I feel cheated.

Ice builds bottom of freezer then leaks onto floor. Should be a recall.

We purchased a Model MDB8949SAWO Maytag dishwasher in September 2012. The control panel failed in November 2015. We wrote a letter to Maytag (Whirlpool) expressing our disappointment and received a call from Maytag customer service. The Customer Service representative informed us because we contacted our local repair facility directly, no reimbursements would be provided. During a subsequent follow-up call, I was informed by the Customer Service representative that Maytag manufactures quality products and that no premature failures were occurring with Maytag dishwashers. The Customer Service Representative stated that we should have purchased an extended warranty which lends some support to the fact that Maytag dishwashers are essentially junk. Never again will we purchase any Whirlpool products.

I have written to Whirlpool about complaints with this range and was very dissatisfied with response. The following were complaints on above range: Range does not have a light on it as the past ranges had. It is very much needed. Grates on burner are to high, therefore it takes longer for items in pot to heat up. Type of steel used on range is very thin and tiny, in other words very poor quality. This is what has happened since Whirlpool bought out Maytag. Quality of Steel that Maytag used is no longer since Whirlpool took over their products. This is true of All their Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, and Ranges). All meaning appliances manufactured by Whirlpool.Manual knobs for turning on oven have been replaced by touch screens, these eventually wear out and are very costly to replace. If it works why change it. Drawers on bottom of range used to be larger, now they are narrow and smaller height wise. Residue on base of burner appears quite frequently and has to be cleaned even if no overspills occur. And why cant Whirlpool make quality merchandise as good as Maytag use to make. Regarding the physical appearance of Range it is very attractive in looks, however Looking good and functioning poorly with inadequate materials used in construction of Appliances outweighs benefits of looking good. My wife and I regret not returning this appliance within 90 days of purchase. In the future we will not purchase Whirlpool or any other appliances manufactured by them if that is possible. Kenmore, LG and perhaps other appliances parts are made by Whirlpool. I received a response from Jake **, Whirlpool Corporation, Executive Office. The Comment from Jake that did not impress me was this: While we regret you are dissatisfied with the current design of your Maytag Range, this is the model that you selected. His comment says too bad better luck next time. Letter was dated March 5, 2014 received on March 13th or 14th.I sent a handwritten letter to Mr. Jeff Fettig on March 12th which was written on March 11, 2014. No response to handwritten letter to Mr. Jeff M. Fettig. Supposedly Mr. Jeff Fettig.

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washer/dryer - Purchased this set nearly 3 years ago from Lowes. The washing machine smells like toxic sewage. The Affresh brand cleaner no longer works. All of our towels and many of our clothing items have had to be replaced due to the stench. I surmise this is because it does not use enough water. The clothes get wrinkled badly, twisted, stretched out and torn. The dryer does not fully dry. Always had to run it again to get the items dry. Finally, it started making a horrible, loud, screeching and grinding sound. Neither the washer or dryer was quiet for long. Putting these out on my curb today for scrap metal pickup.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet 300 about 8 months ago and it will not clean anything. Not one setting will make this machine clean. You have to wash everything 2 to 3 times. There is no savings of any kind with this machine and I dont know anyone who has the time to wash everything multiple times. Its all about the water; its about as much as you can spit. I ran a hose from the faucet and added 8 gallons about 10 minutes into the wash cycle and was able to clean (float) a set of sheets. I find this energy star machine to be worthless and I would have been better buying an old machine at a garage sale than this Bravos machine. Junk. If you cant float your cloths folks, you might as well be rubbing them on a rock.

I have a Maytag refrigerator that is 7 years old. It works fine except it needs a new freezer door gasket. In trying to get the part so it can be repaired I discovered that they had chosen to discontinue production of this part. I can no longer get it anywhere. They were the most unhelpful customer service I have ever worked with. They refused to try to find a part for another model that may work. They refused to offer a discount on a replacement product. They even refused to give me a phone number to talk to management. I had always been a loyal customer to their brand prior to this but I will never again purchase a Whirlpool or Maytag product. I dont expect not to have an issue but I do expect the ability to be supported in obtaining a commonly replaced part for a major appliance that is less than 10 years old.
