We too were having a water leak from the French door freezer and a sheet of ice under the freezer drawer. The repairman came and told us that it was a common problem with the French Door fridge and an easy fix. Maytag has a new P type defrost hose that doesnt freeze up. He changed the part, $149.75 bill, and no more problem. Should Maytag have let consumers know this was a part that was failing? Yes, definitely. But at least the fix was reasonably cheap.

I specifically bought the washer because it has an agitator and you have a setting for more water if you need it. My previous washer had no agitation and really miss that. Seemed like clothes got cleaner. On this machine the agitator is certainly helpful, but there is so little water sometimes I find a pair of jeans with dry spots when load is complete. No, I do not overload the machine. If I change the setting to add more water I don’t see a difference in the amount of water that comes in. I find myself frequently adding an extra rinse. I feel that while making the new washing machines eco friendly they have cut back on water conservancy too much. At the very least the consumer should have more options as to levels of water. I would not buy this brand again.

My washing machine was noisy from the start. We had recently purchased a new fridge and were told when we questioned its noise thats just the way they are. So we didnt question the noisy washer as we should have. The noise got louder as time went on and at the 18 month mark, it was so bad, we had someone look at it. The washer had never cleaned as well as expected, but again, we were too busy to follow up. The repairman advised that the bearing and tub needed to be replaced! Augh! $450 for parts $300 for labour! I contacted Maytag/Whirlpool and was advised they would go good for the parts, I would have to pay labour. Not being terribly impressed, did a bit of research and was told it was worth fixing. As it was technically out of warranty, I was lucky to have them pay for parts. Took 6 weeks to get part. In that time, had questions about delay, etc... at one point was yelled at on the phone by Melissa from Whirlpool as I asked to speak to a supervisor. So fun :( First part comes and it is defective, luckily there was another one in Vancouver, so only an additional 4 day wait. My machine is now fixed. It is extremely quiet and cleans very well. Suffice to say, it was defective from the start. So, Ive gotten to pay an extra $300 over retail to have a working machine! Lucky me! Repairman also advised that he recommends everyone to purchase the additional 5 year warranty as the manufacturers are now only making machines with a 7 year life expectancy and I was VERY lucky in the beginning to get someone to even talk to me after the 1 year mark.

Washer goes off-balance even when clothes are evenly distributed in tub. When it is turned off to rearrange clothes (which may have to be performed a couple of times), washer goes back to starting cycle which means more water. Afraid to do laundry unattended.

Excellent dishwasher but door kinda flimsy. Front panel scratches too easy. Top rack needs to be stronger and a bigger bottom rack. Other than that running wise dishwasher is excellent. Its hard to beat Maytag. I think they just build cheap stuff around good motors.

I do not recommend this product. I purchased them 2 years ago. Within one month, the drum stopped working on the dryer. This was covered under warranty. In the last month, though, I have noticed that there are blue stains on the new drum. I do not leave clothes in the dryer wet. Last week, the washer stopped agitating or cleaning clothes even though the cycle would still run. I called for a service call and paid $82 for this. I found out the transmission was not working. This is not covered under the warranty. The warranty for entire machine is only 1 year. The 2-10 year warranty only covers the drive motor and wash basket. I cannot understand why a transmission is not covered. I feel like they are not standing behind their product. Finally, after a lot of talking, I did get Maytag to agree to cover the cost of the transmission part; but I am still obligated to pay $150 for labor. Why are products not standing up to use as in the past? I am very disappointed with these products.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (model number mdb6759aws3) about 3 years ago. After about 1 year, the control panel started to go. Certain options would not light up. If I used the options that did light and shut the door, the dishwasher would work. I had called Maytag, and they were charging almost $200.00 to come out to repair. Now after 3 years, the entire panel is out. We had someone come out. We ordered a new touch pad for $265, and it still did not work. It is the control panel that is dead. What bothers me is that after reading online, this seems to be a continual problem, and Maytag does nothing to help the consumer.

I purchased the Maytag 6.5 inch electric convection oven about 2 years ago. I wish I hadnt. The oven temp is way off, it cooks unevenly, the back burners hardly work, and the back burners on the stove top barely work, the knobs get stuck constantly, the self cleaning does not work, and the glass part of the door allows dust to get trapped in the glass. The range is $800+ piece of junk, best used at the scrap yard. Today, I turn my oven on, and the element underneath the oven pan caught on fire. Now its broken in half, and needs to be replaced. I look up the QR code, and come to find out the oven is actually a Whirlpool, with Maytag labels on the outside. I would have never purchased this range if I knew it was a Whirlpool. I have always had issues with Whirlpool appliances. This is a fraudulent product, and deceives the customer. Why sell it as a Maytag, when its really a Whirlpool? It should at least state that fact on the description, and salespeople should advise the customer. Now I know why its a piece of junk, because its a WHIRLPOOL!!! I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I have always stuck with Maytag appliances. Every appliance in my house is a Maytag, or are they Whirlpool?

Hate my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer. It takes well over an hour per load. Clothes come out very wrinkled, and my knits get holes very quickly. I would not recommend this machine to anyone. In fact, I warn people against it as I have been frustrated every single time Ive used it. Model # W10420382A.

I think it would be nice to state on the box of dishwasher that customer may need a water connecting fitting and hose for their new dishwasher. Yes, I was asked if I needed anything else and I replied I dont think so! Well when I got home, I did need the water supply sweep 90 degree elbow. Or tell sales people to inform there are parts missing. I had to drive back to Huntsville, AL from Hazel Green. Not life or death, just saying! I do like Maytag products. The dishwasher I replaced was17 years old and we had good service! It’s just starting sounding like a rocket motor. Time to upgrade, I thought. Well my wife really thought so! ;)

I bought this stove thinking of the Maytag repair man commercial that was advertised on TV for washing machines. Apparently Maytag only knows how to make washing machines (I did not buy one of their washing machines after my experiments with their stove). From day one the oven door never closed right, the self cleaning oven device had to be replaced 3 times over the year after have a repairman tell me that they all fail. I stopped using the self cleaning feature. This stove has cost me so much in repairs. The cook top is very very hard to clean. It always looks dirty. All the plastic knobs have melted off because the oven door never closed right. And the knobs are crazy expensive to replace as is just about everything on this stove. The oven temperature can not be trusted never cooked at the temperature it was set at. I paid a lot of money for this stove 10 years ago. And I am finally able to replace it thanks to a Christmas present from my 3 children. I love to cook and this stove made it difficult. My advice is to look for a different company when buying a kitchen stove. This Maytag has been nothing but trouble for me.

Dishwasher is just 2 years old. Touch panel is bad, not Maytag of old. Waiting for the corporate apology. Seems to me that this is a common problem and a case of poor engineering. Also seems like a case of the middle American getting worked over by the big corporate giant. Not happy. Will not suggest Maytag to anyone. Not looking forward to having to replace something that should have lasted significantly longer.

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

Not long after dishwasher MDB7609AWB2 was out of warranty the START switch on the keyboard would not work. Called dealer and they sent someone out to check for a charge not quite $100. Could not fix it so said it needed a new control panel which with labor was almost $200. Doesnt work so get it fixed. Now less than 3 years later the same thing has happened - wont start. Lousy engineering and part probably made in China to save Maytag money, I feel is the cause. This is happening over and over to those of us who purchased in good faith what used to be a reliable product from a reliable company.

Ive had my Maytag microwave (MMV4203DS00) for a little over two years. I started getting SE error code. The control touch pad membrane is shorted out. I suspect because the design doesnt allow it to be an over-the-range even though thats the kind of microwave it is! I think the humidity from the burners shorted out the membrane. I called the company and the part would cost approximately $180 for me to fix myself. I have a really hard time believing that one part of a $200 microwave costs $180. Ridiculous. It appears this microwave is designed to fail. Customer service was rude and snarky. The company doesnt appear to stand behind their product. Maytag used to mean something. I had started to replace all my kitchen appliances - microwave, then stove. I thought Id be consistent and buy Maytag based on their reputation. I will never buy Maytag again.

This product is not worth the money or irritation. It does not wash your clothes well and now mine wont spin. I have to completely unplug the machine and start it up to drain and spin. It takes 1 1/2 to wash one load of clothes. Its supposed to be energy efficient. Im pretty sure its not! I waste more time and electric doing a load of clothes than it takes to dry a load of clothes. Im dumping this thing for a real washer, one that works. I do not recommend this washing machine. I purchased the Bravo at Lowes.

I have owned my Maytag washer for approximately five years. Ive always used the recommended detergent and religiously used the tabs to clean the machine when it was required. I have never abused the machine by overloading it, using too much detergent, etc. It is now coming up with an LF code. There is no one in this area who does repairs and if I do find someone Im sure theyll want some exorbitant amount to come all the way out to the boonies to give an estimate and the repairs Im sure will be hefty. I take very good care of all my appliances and expected this machine to last much longer.

I will never buy a Maytag dishwasher again. I purchased it on 05/05/07 for $500.00. It’s quiet series 300 MDB6601AWQ. After 3 years of use, the control panel is completely dead. It was only working on one setting for the last year.

My refrigerator stopped working less than two weeks after purchase. The ice maker failed to produce ice. I feel they sold me a lemon. Yes, I do!

I purchased two high end Maytag machines, one washer and one dryer, approximately 36 months ago. I did not buy the extended warranty because I was foolishly convinced Maytag sold reliable products. The dryer required service twice within the first 18 months. The washer, which is computerized, is almost unusable. The sensors dont work properly. It does not spin without continual restarting the machine. It takes me hours to wash one load of laundry, and even then it is not spun properly. I wrote Maytag headquarters twice via e-mail, with no response. Even though their website says someone will get back to you within three business days. I called Maytag on August 12th and was told there is nothing they can do because I didnt purchase the extended warranty. So the bottom line is you can spend thousands of dollars on their machines but dont expect them to last, or work. And Maytag will not stand behind their products.

BROKE AFTER 3 YRS. Purchase a new Maytag model: MVWC425BW1 top load washer and dryer after just 3yrs of use. It failed and to find out this is a common problem with these new open drum washers. The bearings go out. Be aware do not purchase them and they also do not wash your clothes good, clothes just stay in same position and you have to wash 2-3 extra washes. It was going to cost 350.00 plus to repair so I purchased Speed Queen that has good reviews. Tech said that top load open barrel washers have been a nightmare.

We bought the Maytag Aqualift cooktop about a year ago & are continuously dissatisfied with it, for several reasons: 1) the cooktop is a huge nuisance to cook on. The burners are either raging hot (causing boil-overs), or too cool to simmer. The boil-overs then require much cleaning with an expensive cleaning agent. 2) the oven, whether you use regular or convection, underheats - so you can’t tell how long the cooking or baking process will take, & you have to monitor the cooking process. 3) the so-called self-clean is a joke; the oven will not be clean unless you crawl inside & clean it manually. Overall, I’d prefer to toss this range in the trash. I’m a good cook, but I get angry every time I use this expensive, poorly- designed product.

We bought Maytag Dishwasher on October 9, 2019. Due to the installation difficulties we were not able to install and try it right away. Lowes warranty expired in 30 days, and the dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes. Even with the hand prewash of all of them-they come out dirty. I have to clean them after. The dishwasher is very weak. We contacted Maytag and were told that they can do nothing for us, only send technician (we have to pay $160 per visit). We can not return or replace it, the quality is very poor, so we will have just to buy a new dishwasher and lose 500$ for this product.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher on Oct. 12, 2013. The control panel failed in July 2013 and had to be replaced. I was unable to program a wash cycle and the lights would move all around the front. After the first failure, I was told that the control panel would only be covered for 3 months - the original purchase date for the washer, NOT the date of the NEW control panel. I was then talked into an extended service plan. Now, four months later, the control panel has failed again and I am unable to program a normal wash. A repair man is not scheduled to come for another 9 days. As a single homeowner, this product is not used even on a daily basis. I will never purchase another Maytag washer. They do not back their product with appropriate repairs.

I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendale, AZ in September 2005. I even bought the stands for them. With my purchase, I got the extended warranty for four more years. I didnt realize that I would really need it. I have had so many issues with the washer and dryer I cant even count - from the control panel not working, to the noise and the vibration when washing, or maybe in the smell of moldy cheese. I also have issues with the constant chimes of D5 code that keeps coming up on the display screen. After 2009, I finally gave up on calling the Maytag customer service folks to have someone come and service the washer because it was out of warranty. I just decided to live with all those issues.As far as my dryer goes, the rollers went bad and that was replaced. The burnt smell isnt so bad as long as you use a wire hanger with a sock on the end of it and clean the inside of the vent. Then try to vacuum it, take the sock, get it wet, and clean the inside of the vent again. This was the most expensive piece of junk I have ever purchased in my life (almost $3,000.00 with the stands and warranty).What really gets me upset is I had the Maytag people servicing my washer and dryer up until 2009 and no one told me about a recall of my washer and dryer. The only reason I found out about it was searching for the specs as the washer finally died and I am replacing it. Trust me. I will not be purchasing a Maytag. I know that Whirlpool purchased Maytag so I am not even going to consider Whirlpool either. Since Whirlpool purchased Maytag, Whirlpool should have contacted all Maytag consumers, (which they didnt), put ads in newspapers (which I did not see) or put an ad on TV. None of these appeared to have happened.By the way, when I bought my Maytag appliances, I was supposed to get a $200 rebate for buying the stands that never came. It must have gotten lost in the mail - as well as the Tide coupons for three years. You, guys, remember that too. I will never ever purchase a Maytag appliance or Whirlpool, since they own Maytag now.

I have a Maytag refrigerator that is about 6 years old. I like the fridge, but the icemaker no longer works and water constantly drips from the door. They will not fix it, even though we have an extended warranty that they have provided. I have waited for months and I am told an icemaker is not important and the fridge is still working, so why am I complaining? When you pay for a fridge with an icemaker and water dispenser, I believe it is part of the refrigerator I paid for and it should be fixed, but Maytag doesnt seem to think so.

The washer is so loud it can be heard all over my home (my home is 2700 sq.). It sounds like metal to metal grinding. I was told thats how the run and the first bit of water isnt enough to even wet the clothes. Id never buy another one (even though this is my 3rd Maytag washer. Im 78 yrs.old).

The problem with this dryer (MGD7230HW) is the sensors for drying time dont work. The dryer keeps going even when the contents are dry. Have to use manual timer to conserve energy. Not worth the cost.

I purchased the Bravos XL washer and dryer combo 2 years ago. Dryer is fine, but washer was EXTREMELY noisy from day 1 and has gone downhill since. It would leak during spin cycle and frequently stop due to unbalanced load, refill and stop again. Now it wont spin at all! We have checked to make sure it is level, it is. I live in a very rural area and its very difficult to get repairmen to come out. This is my first and last Maytag for me.

Double door Maytag 3 years old has been leaking water in freezer floor and forming sheet of ice. After reading the reviews, I may decide to buy a different brand. Why spend more money on repairs! Very bad experience!

My microwave will not work when the door is shut. It says: Door open. It’s worked intermittently, doing this for about two weeks. Then my husband woke up one morning a week ago and the microwave was on like it was running, light on but the plate was not turning. So we’ve had to unplug it and do without during thanksgiving weekend. This seems to be a common issue, obviously from the reviews below, so shame on you Maytag for not owning up and doing the right thing, covering repairs or sending out a recall. It’s a $112 service call here locally plus parts and labor. I will certainly be telling others not to go with Maytag. Maytag is lucky- it turning on by itself AT NIGHT, WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING, that it did not cause a fire or something. I’m pretty upset that it’s inside a 2.5 year window and already has issues.

Maytag BRAVOS XL Washer - The worst washer I have ever used. Do not buy! It does not use enough water and leaves a white scummy residue on dark clothes. You have to wash them all off in warm water and then send it through one or two more rinses to get it washed off. I may as well do laundry by hand! Absolutely disgusting!

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher at Home Depot in October 2009. Recently, it made noises for a few months of laboring, and finally would not start.Maytag said it’s out of warranty and wanted $125 just to diagnose. Took it to my shop for $60 to diagnose and they found a faulty control panel.

For the first time I bought a new washing machine in order to have one that lasted. Bought a brand new Maytag Front Loading HE washer model MHW3505FW1. Controls stopped working and the machine turns on and off by itself. Its either a faulty control board or computer, either of which are going to be more than a $400 repair. So more than half of what we can pay for a new machine. Maytag only warranties two parts for more than a year. So in reality, its not worth the repair and I will not buy a Maytag of Whirlpool product ever again.

First off. Maytag customer service is horrible. I purchased a Maytag washer & used it 8 time. It now doesnt rinse the soap out of my clothing or even clean anything. The washer isnt broken because thousands of other people with the same exact washer have written negative reviews everywhere online. The washer needs to be recalled & never sold again. Maytag is making people SICK and they dont care. My whole family had skin irritation because we didnt realize our new washer wasnt rinsing.

I like my fridge. Its a old one and still works. Its been very reliable and have never had a problem with. I dont think I would ever purchase a different brand for Maytag is the brand for me. They last for years.

Maytag Dishwasher control panel is not working again! We have owned dishwasher for less than two years but needed repair twice. This time the warranty has expired. We will not have it repaired again. Its too expensive! We will never go with Maytag again.

Horrible machine. Purchased on 02/28/2014. I am 63 y/o retired housewife now. Machine used only for light washing, occasional king size sheets and weekly towels. I bought into the Maytag name, am so very angry that I did. Started a load at 1215 pm today... it is still sensing, washing, rinsing, spinning and then it starts all over again. Just unplugged from the power source, hopefully I can get the clothes spun out enough to dry!! Call and live chats to Maytag were frustrating to say the least. $400 plus Maytag service call to check out the machine not fix check out repairing would be extra. (I do not live in rural area, live 5 minutes from downtown Jacksonville FL!!!) Independent Repairmen will not touch this Maytag Model (cannot say I blame them!!). DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG PRODUCT. This is a horrible company lacking in integrity, honesty and fairness. They sell shoddy, inferior products based upon past history.

It’s washing day today, so I’m angry, frustrated and livid to do it in my Maytag machines. I’m 72 years old and been doing this for 53 years. It’s not a job you love to do but you do it. I finally get to be able to afford whatever machines I want, so what do I do, buy Maytag. They are beautiful, see through top load, and see through dryer. So finally I get to use them, what a letdown. I don’t understand how they can put these machines on the market. Unbelievable! Also very expensive. The sensor for the water level is way off. It starts washing with hardly no water covering the clothes so this is where I put it on pause and add buckets of water to wet at least the clothing. I did a test to see how the clothes moved inside when washing. It was a load of white towels and I put in a bright green face cloth to see how it moved around in there. Well what a surprise, it stayed on top and moved about 3 inches to the right. That’s all it did. You don’t call that washing, I call that soaking! Terrible washer! I could go on and on but I’m getting too upset. Now for the dryer, the sensors don’t work right so what I do is use the timer and the temperature buttons only. Sometimes clothes gets stuck under the lint basket and by the time the buzzer tells me the load is finished drying, it is so twisted that it’s wrinkled forever. It has ruined a beautiful tablecloth of mine. I can’t sell these machines because I would feel very bad to pass them to someone else…Maytag does but not me. Because of my age I won’t be getting new machines probably, I’m stuck with them, but I would advise anyone shopping for a new washer and dryer, go out there and see what they have, come back home and look for reviews which I did not. Bad mistake! Note: I searched everywhere to write this review to Maytag on their website, none to be found!

In October of 2012 we bought a Maytag Refrigerator Model MFF2258VEM. In the spring and summer of 2014, we noticed puddling on our kitchen floor. We thought it was our dishwasher or sink since the $1800+ fridge was new, but couldnt find the problem. We travel a lot and are gone for extended periods. When we returned in winter of 2014, we discovered that there was substantial puddling and found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment. We did research and found that this is a common problem with all the bottom-freezer Maytag models, which then leak. We discovered that the leak had seeped into our kitchen sub-floor and was destroying all of our kitchen floor tile, causing cracking and breaking, a renovation of just a few years previous that cost a lot of money. There was NO problem with the floor until we put in this Maytag refrigerator. The remedy for the leaking is constant maintenance and a lot of work, totally ridiculous for a product that costs so much. I want to sue Maytag for both replacement of the refrigerator and the cost of replacement of my tile floor. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

Very disappointed with Maytag Bravos XL, four year old unit with bearings going out. Quoted $400 + for repair. With two in the house, wash demands are normal. Quality is questionable to have bearings & seal going out in four years. Also you cannot buy the bolt which holds the Washer Motor Rotor Cover on without buying the whole $130 assembly. Daughter has Whirlpool brand with same problem. Seems to me this is a problem Maytag/Whirlpool should address. My old unit (that I wish I still had), worked for 25 years. Would not recommend these machines.

Bought Maytag Neptune Washer/Dryer set and had trouble with the washer from the beginning. It seemed gentle, but ATE my finer clothing, even on the gentle cycle. But the biggest issue was with the Dryer. I had it a little over 6 months & when I turned it on it made a noise, like an earthquake or the rapture was upon us. Got nowhere with the rep & warranty info, & based on the other reviews on here & the fact I really needed my dryer I called a serviceman from my area & thought Id just bite the bullet since its a set and hopefully this was just a fluke. After two house calls, I ended up paying over $500 for a new drum, & was furious. Ive had the cheapest, crappiest washer/dryers from when I was a poor college student that held up YEARS better than this!!! Didnt have the money or means to buy and transport a new or new(er) set & get rid of this JUNK in my laundry room, so, I just hoped I could buy some time. Hmmmph. You know, its almost as if Maytag actually WORKED to make these foul up! And they care NOTHING about customer service or fixing THEIR MESS either. My washer eats many of my items, but the WORST is the Dryer. It comes on when it feels like it, and when it doesnt - well, it will take a break and determine on its own accord whenever siesta time is over --- could be a day, but has been up to three or four days before it suddenly starts working again. This was the worst purchase Ive made in a while. Guess when the next time I purchase anything labelled Maytag will be. Yep the rapture will be sooner.

I bought this MMV4205BAB microwave thinking Maytag was a good brand and I wanted an over the range type. Problems began when it would stop in the middle of a cooking cycle. I called the repairman as it was under warranty. It was decided by the repairman that the weight of thing was too great for its thin frame, not letting the door close correctly. I got a new one and it, from day one, would make a shorting sound every time anything was cooked, on the stove top, under it, while it was on. It finally just shorted out. I have a Maytag washer and dryer that are also junk. So, needless to say, Maytag, 3 strikes and youre out. I will never have another Maytag product and I let others know what a great product it is.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washing machine set in July 2007. In May 2011, I had to have the shocks and another part relating to running a balanced load replaced. I spent about $500 on those repairs. The parts to replace the shocks took more than 6 weeks to arrive! Roughly one year later, the plastic water pump has broken and needs replacing - another $100 part plus labor. I always believed Maytag was a reputable company, but I am very sad at the quality of the product I purchased based on their reputation. They should be ashamed! To date, the dryer has been good - knock on wood!

Purchased a new stainless Maytag dishwasher model # MDB4949SDMO ser # F54240259 on 10-20-2015. Installed about three weeks after purchase. This unit is terrible -- has not properly operated or cleaned our dishes since installed. First service came shortly after install. Complaint was unit leaves white film on all dishes. (Soap used is cascade which was recommended by Maytag in owners manual.) Technician installed a new water fill valve because unit wasnt getting enough water. After that unit still no good as unit became noisier and noisier and still leaving white film on all dishes. Second service call: the technician indicated entire noisy pump assembly would have to be replaced and would need to order it. Third service call: the technician arrived and replaced entire pump assembly, taking the old one away with him. The technician said it will be good now. It wasnt, but at least it was quiet. That was in January 2016. This unit still does not clean dishes properly -- continues to leave a white film on everything requiring hand scrubbing to remove. All dishes are hand rinsed with hot water before loading them in dishwasher, but actually dishes are more dirty three hours later after the cleaning cycle has finished than before they were put in. After having to buy new glasses and plastic ware because stubborn white film will not come off and looks disgusting. Tried various different soaps and rinsing products to no avail.Finally contacted service department for the fourth time and today technician arrived and found the unit to be mechanically functioning as it should and can do no more to help. Said to try a product called lemi-shine. Maybe my water is too hard also he said, even though we are on city water! This is our third dishwasher at this home and have never had hard water associated issues. All I want is my full refund for this defective product and I only get the run around from Maytag. Stay away from this machine.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. So they represent themselves And their warranty falsely. Buyer beware. Maytag is shady. I’m guessing Whirlpool is part of them so please do your research before you buy. 1. Customer service doesn’t exist with them. (3hrs hold times.) 2. Misleading warranty coverage. 3. Will not call you back.4. Try to extort more money from you. I am submitting this review today to express my disappointment with my Maytag washer. This is the Maytag MVWX655DW (Bravo), with Serial# C61842055. In August of 2016 I lost many treasured items due to a flood in Lafayette, Louisiana. My daughter and I were devastated and displaced because of this event. This is also in addition to completing Cancer treatment 2 days before the flood.I lost my GE washer which was a great product. It was a struggle for a long time, but we were finally get back on our feet. I was able to get another place to live, and it was time to purchase a washer. I was told that Maytag was one of the best products on the market, so I decided to purchase my first Maytag washer. This did not turn out well for me, and it was very disappointing. After 9 months of ownership of this product, it is broken! It is my belief that the product may have been defective.I put in a service call, and had a repairman come to my apartment on June 19th. I was told that my washer needs several parts to repair it, including a pump. I have never had this issue with prior washers. My previous washer before my GE purchase survived for over 10 years before it has had any issues. I called on June 26th to ask about Maytag issuing me a new washer or a full refund, instead of repairing this faulty product. I was told no, and was offered and extended warranty for 6 more months and $75.00. I expressed to her that I would rather have a new washer.The Bravo Washer is a very bad product. Instead of taking advantage of customers, Maytag needs to stand by that 10 year warranty sticker on the washer. Please understand this purchase is a LEMON. This washer did not last a year. After all I have been through, I did not need this financial hardship. In the long run, this product will die again. Unfortunately for me I may not be able to afford to purchase another washer. I am still getting follow-up treatment for my Cancer, and it is very expensive. Can someone please re-evaluate the need for a replacement washer or offer me a full refund? This product should not be broken after only 9 months of service.

My washer is new, out of warranty, and about 2 and a half years old. All of a sudden, with no warning or previous issues, the computer board in the washing machine malfunctioned which caused a humming noise, it would not cycle into the next wash phase, the time would go up instead of down, I could not change cycles, and when I would push the power button there would be a delay of power coming on. I unplugged and called my local appliance repair and he said he sees problems with this model regularly, although not always the same issues.Before purchasing I scoured the internet for reviews on different units to make sure I didnt get a lemon. I think Maytag saw the error of their ways quickly and stopped making these before people caught on. This model is no longer being made. I like matching units, so it meant either shell out $500 for replacing the board, or replacing both the washer and the dryer that still works, which would be about $1200 or more for a new set. I chose the least expensive route for now. Not that it matters where I bought mine, but Home Depot and it was on clearance so it was a good price. I have now made up for that difference in repairs.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

I purchased a new Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWB1 approximately 2yrs ago from Sears. We purchased quite a few new appliances from them and they are always helpful. Within the first year, right after the warranty was up, it stopped working. No lights on the power panel. I called Sears, out of warranty, sorry. Said they would give me a deal on the repair. Sears came out, replaced the computer. $230.00. 6 months later, it stops working again. I go on line to look up these models and sure enough a lot of people are having the same issues. I did some of the checks that they said to do and found my plastic door latch was broken. A little plastic arm that actuates the switches broke. Should have been made of metal. I replace it myself, very easy, by the way. So I figure, in another 8 months it will prob break again. They run anywhere from $19.00-$30.00. 2 days ago power panel and light, not working again. I called Sears and asked them if they were having issues with the power panels that this was the second time in less than 2 years, and if there were any recalls, they said no. I guess they dont follow their reviews, but according to google reviews, its a major problem with most of them. Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amanda. Ordered a new panel today, again they are $141 from Sears but if you shop, you can get a new one for less than $85.00. If you have any kind of mechanical skills, you can replace it in less than 20 mins. It just seems to me that this big companies have let their quality control go and are more concerned about the profit. There should be a recall on these. Do Not buy a Maytag/Whirlpool dishwasher, they are total junk. Sorry Maytag, you lost another customer.

Buyer Beware!! Purchased my Maytag over the range microwave in May of 2014. It has a manufacture date of Feb. 2014, and it is now Sept. 2014. It is a very nice looking unit but a bit oversized. My handyman that installed it had to raise my cabinets above my stove two inches to avoid it being too close to the range. The motor is pretty loud and It often times does not heat evenly. The light on the unit that shines down on the range is not much better than the power of a night light which is a bit disappointing considering it looks like a higher end unit, and down to the reason I am writing this review today is that for the first time I went to change the bulb. I unscrewed the the light cover which is placed awkwardly toward the very very back of the unit, only to find that when I went to twist out the burnt out bulb (that has been in there since I purchased the unit) that the bulb broke off after hearing what sounded like the break of a seal of glue, and the bottom aluminum piece of the bulb is stuck in the bulb socket. I found that the bulb is placed in an awkward place behind the light cover. Instead of the bulb facing to the left or the right or to the front of the unit it is facing toward the back which is making the bulb socket impossible to see, which means that in order to screw in the bulb you are screwing it in from an angle that you cannot see unless you climb on the range and lay on your back, or get a mirror to help see where you are screwing in the bulb. This is just a very awkward and unpractical design coming from such a well known company with such a common and ordinary product. Now I am sitting here writing this review and I am trying to figure out how I can remove that little piece of aluminum stuck in the light bulb socket and since it is not facing to the left or right and facing toward the back, it leaves me about less than 1/2 space to work with using my hand or a tool to remove that piece, or I can just leave my broken bulb piece in there and screw the cover back on until I call service for Maytag. I believe it is still under warranty but from others experience that I have read about I am not feeling confident I will receive great service or a desirable outcome. Wish me the best!! Horrible machine. Uses too little water, cycles are too long. No matter what the size of the load, it takes an hour. Just after 3 years the bearing went out on the machine. Cost for repair will be $250. Thats not even an electronic problem which Im sure would be next. NO THANKS. Im getting a new machine and it wont be a Maytag.

I just purchased this washer in Feb. 2012. The motor had gone out in Oct. I called Maytag Service, they came out to repair it. In Nov., it was doing the same thing again. I called Maytag Service, and they sent someone out to fix it. They expected me to take off from work where they inconvenience me with this washer. It is a reject washer. They would give me another washer and not consider people having to work and cant take off for their reject washer. They said as long as it is under warranty. I feel that I should be able to get me another. This washer has given me problems since I had it.

Lid lock issue. 2 years old. I will never buy a Maytag, or any other Whirlpool brand for that matter. I am VERY disappointed. A service call will cost at least $200 dollars so why not just buy a new washer for that price. Also, I read that consumers should stay away from automatic water level washers. They never work right.

The low water usage design is horrible. Clothes dont get clean as it doesnt use enough water to cover them. Takes twice as long to do a load as our old washer. Took about 1 1/4 hours yesterday for 1 load using heavy which is the only setting that uses more than a thimble of water. Should have looked for a commercial type with a real agitator and adequate water usage. Not saying Maytag is probably any worse than any other brand of new efficiency government mandated garbage washer, but its no good.

Since the day I bought the Maytag Bravos XL washer it never worked correctly. An entire year of several repair men, which half said there was something wrong and other half said nothing was wrong with it. Now it sits in my garage as the most expensive paperweight. After repeated requests, the Whirlpool company that owns Maytag now refuses to stand by their product, replace it, refund it or anything at all. They have washed their hands, yet I cannot wash my clothes in it!

I grew up trusting and believing in the name brand Maytag. Unfortunately, I wont anymore. I purchased a Maytag MDB7749AWM1 dishwasher from Lowes thinking that I would not need the extended warranty because well it was a Maytag and they just keep working and working for years to come. Not true anymore. 1.5 years after the purchase the control board has gone out. I come to find that hundreds upon hundreds of people have all experienced the same thing. Shortly after the manufacturer warranty expires, the panel dies. By all accounts it is an issue of POOR engineering and Maytag now being produced by Whirlpool. The replacement part is between $150 and $200. Thats about half the purchase price. It is a racket. Companies like this probably think, well if we build something that is going to last and last we cant make money on that. So lets rig it so our stuff breaks right after the warranty and charge half the price of the unit to fix it so we continue to make money either by people buying the part or just going and getting a new dishwasher. Well I can tell you I will be getting a new dishwasher and it certainly wont be a Maytag OR a Whirlpool.

MDB7749SAW - 22 months @ an initial price of $599 and control panel lights become increasingly erratic and finally machine fails to respond to reboot (unplugging) after the third time. Repair man over the phone is familiar with the model and estimates parts at $160 + $115 (gave me a discount) + $125 service call for $400 to make the Maytag run again. Bought June 28, 2012. Installed September 2012. Becomes trash July 2014. Wish I could be more helpful... but if I had purchased the service insurance agreement, it would have run about $90/year... that would have been an extra $180 for a total of $712 including sales tax. So, I had a dishwasher for about 95 cents per day. Nobody rents them. I cant give it less than one star or I would. As a new buyer I was not informed.

Maytag dryer MEDC215EW - This dryer does not dry the clothes without many wrinkles. Sheets just ball up with the inner sheet a mass of wrinkles. Small loads just flop from top to the bottom of the dryer, falling in clumps. I have gone back to having to ironing. Very disturbing!!! I would not recommend this dryer to anyone.

I purchased this $857 dishwasher from Lowes in May, 2021. It broke in June, 2021. S&S Repair was sent by Maytag to repair. It took 3 weeks for them to come, then they discovered the motor and pump assembly had gone out. Parts were on backorder. It is now August, 13, 2021 and I still have no dishwasher. Lowes would not replace this dishwasher. Maytag will not authorize a return. This is disgusting.

I have ALWAYS bought MAYTAG since the 1970s. But MAYTAG is no more. Whirlpool bought them out. I have an HE (first mistake)... HE... will go away just like low flow toilets did!!! You cannot wash clothes in 4 of water. I bought a top loading Brazos XL for $1100 (second mistake)... Have had it just over a year! I should have returned it but did not. Huge mistake (#3)... Repairman told me to get rid of it as fast as I can. Will eat me up in repairs. Now needs repair again for another NEW issue... The fill sensor does not tell the machine to load the proper amount of water. Now I cannot clean washer, tried three times last night. I am beyond upset. Repairman said buy GE! You can bet it will NOT be High Efficiency!!!!!

We have had this washer/dryer stack up for about 2 years now. Not long after it was purchased from Best Buy, it started smelling like mold, even though we were doing everything possible to keep it ventilated. Best Buy employee said that service was not covered by the warranty that we purchased, so they suggested we YOUTUBE some ideas on how to get rid of the smell. They said it was a common complaint for front load washers. We have tried Affresh, hot water and bleach, hot water with vinegar and lavender, etc. Nothing is working. There is mold on the plastic inside the washer door and the stench is horrible now. You can smell it when you walk into our home. I believe that stench is the reason we are all having respiratory problems, allergies, etc. I just dont know what to do anymore. Really frustrating!! These appliances cost a lot of money.

I have had Maytags for 20 years and never have been disappointed before I bought the Centennial and it is junk. It doesnt even put enough water in to wash the clothes. After it breaks, I will never buy Maytag again. When did you guys start going down the drain literally? My clothes do not get cleaned. I live in the country and we all get dirty. We need a dependable washer and dont even get me started on the dryer. I thought maybe you would care enough to know.

I bought a new Maytag washer two and half years ago. One of the new HE (High efficiency) models. Clothes do not get washed clean. But not only that, now its not washing at all. French door always has freezer closing problems. Whenever the freezer is not closed tight, the bottom will form ice block, and freezer doesnt close. I have extended warranty but the repair people do not give quick appointment. I sick of this product.

I purchased a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator two years ago. It recently began leaking water onto the floor from the freezer compartment. I just had it serviced and the serviceman told me that it was a common problem. The duck-billed check valve gets plugged. This is a problem with Maytag, Jenn-Air, Whirlpool, Amana, and KitchenAid refrigerators as they all share the same manufacturer. There is a service bulletin out on this that lists hundreds of model numbers affected by the problem (Technical Service Pointer #: W10632338). I think it is criminal that consumers are expected to pay hundreds of dollars to have this manufacturers defect repaired. I tried to find a place with the government to file a complaint, but wasnt clear who had jurisdiction. Perhaps a class action suit is in order. There have to be millions of consumers potentially facing this problem. Anyone with any knowledge of how to further pursue this defect, please comment.

We bought this dishwasher on 7/8/2013 which is my wifes birthday and boy was that a mistake in many ways! I had 5 service calls on my Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBM1 before it went out of warranty. It has issues with the ribbon cable and controller and the control lights are like a disco on the keypad. Now it gets so hot I cant touch the door when its running. So I have had to turn off the power and go get a new dishwasher next weekend which WILL NOT be a Maytag!

Just purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator and am I sorry I did! Very noisy and runs continuously. Maytag says it is because it has high-efficiency compressor and fans? How is running continuously efficient? The continuous noise actually keeps me awake at night. Not sure what to do as I have spent $1700. :(

Ive owned my Maytag Neptune front loader since 2003. Since then, the whites have either turned gray or yellow. Ive tried minimizing the use of Tide HE, maximizing its use, and I still get the same results. Can anyone please assist me with this major problem? Ive owned Maytag appliances since the mid 60s, and I know the quality isnt there anymore.

The washer is designed to use low amounts of water. The top is glass so you can watch what is or is not happening. The manual states there should be clothes above the water after filling. However after the wash cycle with a full or even half full washer, there is still some dry clothes above the water. As a result the clothes are not washed until the rinse cycle. I called Maytag and a repair tech came out to fix it. His solution was to trick the sensors by dumping a pail of water on top of the dry clothes before starting the washer. The sensors think there are more clothes than there really is. Will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again.

Quiet, well priced and reliable technology which makes owning this dishwasher an easy buying and owning experience. Having the brand backed with great reliability and if needed excellent service makes the buying decision easy for the consumer.

I am very happy with my washer. It is easy to use and does an outstanding cleaning job. I have had it for almost 7 years and have not had any problems with it. It has many different settings so it can handle virtually any cleaning job. I am particularly happy with the spin speed which is adjustable but the high speed spin really wrings the water out so the dryer which incidentally is also a Maytag drys in a fairly short time. The washer is a front loader and doesn’t use much water.

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

Code F51 showed up and my appliance repair man immediately said, I see this problem with the Maytag Bravos all the time. Its a control board and motor problem. He gave me a number to call to see if I could receive help through Maytag (Whirlpool), because its a major fix. He also thought that there might be a recall by now since there have been so many problems, but no. The Maytag customer rep was of no help. So disappointed in Maytag and the Bravos Washer. I will never buy another Maytag again!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in April of 2011 - Ive had four control panels in that time and the panel gone again - in fact, one panel came out of the box nonfunctional (I counted that one as it was installed although the tech removed it when it quickly became apparently that it wasnt working). Ive got a complaint in to Maytag but I have low expectations as to a satisfactory conclusion. What Id like is for Maytag to buy this lemon back from me for around $400 - I paid nearly $600 (including installation). Again, I doubt this will happen. From my research online it appears that the control panel issue is a latent defect which Maytag knows about but either wont or cant figure out how to deal with it or correct it. I have a scan of the receipt which Ill see if I can upload later. I know about one class action lawsuit for CA residents. I wonder if its been expanded.

Maytag Model #MBR2258XES refrigerator purchased May 2014 from Home Depot. Problem #1: Freezing in refrigerator compartment (frozen vegetables). Problem #2: Water leakage on floor from defrost. Wood floor is/has expanded and may now be ruined. This model is now discontinued. Looking into contacting an attorney.

I purchased the Maytag Neptune set in 2004 and was not informed there was a class action lawsuit and was never notified. When washer quit working, I called Maytag who sold me a $300 service contract. They came out and said they couldnt fix the washer and I needed to buy a new one. I paid a fortune for this piece of junk and now have to spend another $700 to get a new washer. I will never buy Maytag again. How can they get away with selling washers that are on recall and involved in a lawsuit?

I purchased a range 5 months ago. It is STAINLESS STEEL. It began to rust. I called customer service and they told me it was cosmetic, so they wont help. I think a stainless steel range should not rust after 5 months. Very disappointed, WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG Again.

Sometimes the control panel is difficult to work with especially if the wash is paused to add more clothes or detergent. The good things is that the tub is very large so a comforter can be washed and you can control the amount of water depending on the amount of what is being washed. I also like that it doesnt have the big agitator in the middle.

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

Maytag Bravos Commercial Washer MVWX500XWO - This has been the worst experience with this $900 washer and breaking down in less than 2 yrs. Complete Garbage, New Locking Mechanism, now spin cycle not working. I am about to take back to Home Depot and let them have it. Garbage product - NOT WHAT MAYTAG USE TO BE... I always thought Maytag was the best, maybe because of their ad. Finally, I bought a refrigerator two months ago, which has turned into a nightmare. The company has sent a tech six times and they all say that it is a bad design which makes my vegetable drawer full of water because of moisture. And they refused to do anything about it every time (bad management). They have already spent more money on service than what I paid for the refrigerator. Figure that out.Do not buy Maytag. It was the biggest mistake I made. I also bought a washer and a dryer at the same time. I wish I could send them all back because of the ignorant people they have working for them in their complaint and service office. Anybody out there, if you want to buy an appliance, make sure it is not Maytag.

Bought this machine with the intention of having at LEAST 10 problem free years with it. Its a Maytag after all. Not an unreasonable expectation. Within the first 2 years, the machine sounded like the bearings were going out (heavy, grinding noises when it shifted gears). Repairman came, replaced the entire drum (only way to get to the gears, I guess). Didnt fix a thing. Then the rinse and spin cycle on ANY wash cycle randomly quits. Just stops. Full load of wet, soapy clothes, sitting in the tub while an LD error code quietly flashes.Its not uncommon for it to take two full days of screwing around with this machine to get one load of clothes done. Have to UNPLUG the machine, let it sit for about an hour, and try again. It is the biggest waste of money ever and I will NEVER buy another Maytag nothing. Contacted Maytag and they recommended I call a repairman...REALLY? REALLY? Gee, I wish I had thought of that. Repair guy has been to my house so damn many times for this machine, we are now friends on Facebook. Dont waste your money on this machine.

We purchased a Maytag Dryer with the lint vent on top on March 21, 2014 from ABC Warehouse in Ann Arbor, MI. Whoever engineered this does not dry clothes. Trust me, this will be the last Maytag I buy. There is lint seeping out of the top and when you clean it the lint gets all over the place therefore, my laundry room is always full of dust.

JADE model RJRS4270. Had this model for 10 years with more than 10 service calls. Always breaking down and Whirlpool will not honor the warranty. Paid for an extended warranty service to Maytag/Whirlpool offered by the manufacturer. When unit broke Whirlpools warranty service provider Assurance said Whirlpool no longer provides the parts needed, sorry can’t honor the extended warranty you had paid for, no parts, and no refund. The evaporator drip tray had been replaced three times. Asked to have the unit replaced. Whirlpool was absolutely disrespectful and only offered me to the option to buy another discounted $8K unit for a with ~ $2K discount.So far approx. $6K unit + approx. $1K extended warranty (not honored) + approx. $1K parts and service out of my pocket (Whirlpool continued to tell me it was not warranted). Although the operator’s manual said it was covered. While under warranty Whirlpool doesnt have replacement parts to service it. Multiple service tech are telling me there are many known issues with this unit. Found out there’s class action law for the same issues Im experiencing. Whirlpool only offered a new unit at approx. $6K. So total for me to date if I choose to take the discounted unit would be $12K. Dont buy this unless you have a good lawyer. Hardly seems reasonable. Service call 10/20/10 Repair - Installed new drip pan, bi metal, fan motor. Service call ~ 8/_/15 Repair - Service tech states, Whirlpool no longer has parts. Even though we paid hundreds to have a still active Maytag contract extended warranty. Whirlpool outsourced service to third party. Service call ~8/_/15 Service tech refuses to repair because cant get parts from Whirlpool. Asked me to find part on eBay or some other source so he could repair since Whirlpool could not provide. Got part. He did fix. Freezer stopped working 4/2/16. Customer support 4/3/16 followed owners manual instructions for warranty and call number, Whirlpool said theres no warranty and to call any local service tech. (Owners manual said compressor was still under warranty). Service call 4/4/16. Tech refused to work this Whirlpool unit, believes to be issue with the compressor leaking or system blockage or bad valve in compressor. Customer support call back - Krisi, was warranted. Jade Specialty Department. Customer support call back - Jared, no warranty, sorry. Explained contract to him. Nope/Nada. Customer support transfer - Jan, yes was warranted. Asked to speak to manager/sup. Said if you won’t honor warranty then please provide replacement. Transfer to Mike said we must schedule service through Whirlpool to fix contradicts. We asked for reference number to track. Mike said they don’t use reference numbers (contradicts Jared from when he asked me for a reference number). Two days no call from Whirlpool. Customer support call back 4/7/16 - Kari, offered small discount for equivalent new or refurbished unit $5,739 for Model KBSN602ESS. Said although under warranty, Whirlpool may not be able to provide parts to repair unit, but they will sell me an equivalent unit.

I just found this website & do not have my model info with me. But we have bought 2 Maytag refrigerators since 2001. We still have the 2nd refrigerator but I want to replace it as soon as we can. They were different models but had/have the exact same problem. They freeze up into sheets of ice and then leak puddles of water on to the floor. Makes me mad when I see their ad about how great their product is - what a load of crap! My first refrigerator was a General Electric; it was still running after 19 years when I left the farm. I still have my 2nd General Electric refrigerator (18 years old) down in my family room - running like a top! NOT EVER GOING TO BUY MAYTAG AGAIN!

This washer ( MHW3505FW) leaks, is crazy loud, water wont drain, clothes smell bad after washing, defective drain pump, defective mother board. Only had 2 1/2 months and it broke. Maytag refused to refund me and Lowes refused as well. Thankfully I paid by credit card. Am disputing the charge. Terrible washer should be recalled. Many complaints on this washer. Very disappointed and upset.

Bought the dishwasher (model MDB8969SDM0) at Lowes Burlington Canada beginning of September. After two months of use, the plastic pins and attachment to the drum, top rack broke and cracked in several places. Called Whirlpool Canada for repairs many times and got the run around, spent hours on the phone and still not resolved as of December 12, 2014. This model has a problem with the plastic and breaks continuously as seen by many reviews on the internet. The technician said that this is a problem with this newest model. I have now been waiting for over two weeks for the parts with no end in sight since they claim that the parts are back ordered. Called again today and was told that it would be another week to see if they can find the pieces. This is ridiculous, I paid over $ l,000 dollars for this model and it looks like now that I will not have it repaired by Christmas. Lowes refuses to help me because they have washed their hands since it broke after one month. I have been lied to many times by customer service at Whirlpool Canada. They claim that I am the first one to complain about this model yet the reviews on the internet are full with this issue. They say what you want to hear and do not seem to care at all. It is a disgrace, I feel totally cheated and robbed of my hard earned money. Maytag is no longer a good company for their appliances and service. I am starting to think that I am stuck with this machine and that they have literally robbed me of $ l,000. Shame on you Whirlpool and Maytag.

The middle piece of glass on my four-year-old gas oven shattered. It was not being used, but when I called Maytag, they told me that that was not covered because I did not have an extended warranty, and that I can purchase a new oven door and would have to pay the service person. I hope they go out of business. Maytag stinks, and everyone should know this.

Upon remodeling our kitchen about 4 years ago, we decided to put in Maytag appliances, one of which was the dishwasher . On Nov.29th, our granddaughters were playing with our dog when they ran through the kitchen and the dog started to yelp and went down and started to bleed. As she went past the washer her leg was sliced open by the bottom of the washer door. As it turns out, the bottom of the Maytag dishwasher doors has a sharp cut edge with no covers at all along the entire bottom of the door. We have also read about two children who have had the same thing happen to them. This is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The first surgery as of now has been $3,600.00 because of cut tendons. It would be totally irresponsible not to warn all consumers of this extremely serious hazard considering most families let their small children play in the kitchen

We bought a Maytag French Door 21 cu. ft. refrigerator in 2008. 2010, 3 repairs later, the ice machine went out, we went back to ice trays. Now the compressor died. The old ad of bored Maytag repairmen cause they never need repairs is bogus.

Dishwasher cleans well but the top rack is poorly designed for taller glassware. Unit has the typical features - wash, sanitize, rinse only, high temp wash, heated dry, light, normal or heavy wash, and delay start up to 6 hours. Standard dishwasher face; nothing fancy, no dirt catching features, very satisfactory. Electronic features (start, stop, etc.) broke after very little use. This is my second Maytag and a repeat of the first. Will NOT purchase this brand again!

We are a family of three. We purchased our Washer and Dryer New, November 2011 at Lowes, in Lindale TX. I am disabled. I have had several spine surgeries and getting ready for another. I was injured at work and it left me crippled. I do not receive any benefits from my County Employer. My wife is a schoolteacher. We live on a limited income after my accident. We purchased this set with utmost confidence, our last set was twenty years old. We updated due to water, electric, and the environment. Our Maytags we had were still usable, it was just time for their retirement. They were hand me downs washer and dryer set. Truly! I dont know how old they were. When our washer started having troubles, it was making a horrible noise. We called Hughes Appliance. Theyre an authorized Maytag Repair Service Warranty Center. They sent Mark out we used them before. He stated the motor was not loctited from the factory. It worked its way loose almost coming completely off. This cost me a $85 service call. Mark also stated that the Tub Bearings were going out because off this. He called Maytag Customer Service and Dealer Warranty Service, said they wouldnt pay for the repairs or even the Service call for their factorys snotty WorkmanShip. I tried calling myself and got absolutely nowhere. I was polite, courteous and nice and they still Said, Sorry, We Know its less than three years old but thats the way it is. Sorry Sir! Have Nice Day! Its going to cost $389 to replace the tub bearings in top load washer. The washer only cost about 750 less than three years ago. Its the most expensive clothes washer Ive ever owned. One thing! If they dont make things right, I promise I will never own a Maytag again! And when I am in a store and see someone looking at their product I will make a point to tell them my situation and about my Maytag Washer. One thing is certain I can make sure young customer dont buy the wrong appliances while I sit patiently in my wheelchair waiting on my wife. Thanks Maytag! Its not What You Did For Me! Its What I Can Do For You!

This is the worse washing machine ever. Wish Id never have bought it. Clothes come out unclean, washer cleaner cycle doesnt work, water level is almost none, etc etc. I could go on and on, you get the picture. Coming here and seeing 100s of negative reviews and complaints many of which I suffer from as well, just clarifies how bad this machine really is. There has got to be a way to bring a class action lawsuit or arbitrary suit against them. Im pretty confident that there are probably 100s more who are dealing with this shoddy washing machine as we all are.

I have been washing clothes in different washers for almost 4 decades and never had a terrible washer until now. It has total control of the water level and it NEVER has enough water added. I have to add at least 2 full dish pans of water to every load. My washer does not allow you to pick your level because it does it automatically and no theres way to bypass this problem. It moans and groans for almost an hour in slow motion at its best. It should be illegal to sell such crap!If the intent was to save energy it fails when it runs twice as long as other washers. The instructions that are in the lid say that when you set it on deep water wash that it does not sense automatically-LIES! This lid must be generically made for other washers that they have because again, you cannot choose a water level. When a washer runs for almost an hour (this is not soak or extra rinse either) it is not saving energy over those that run for half that length of time. I wish I had returned it, but I listen to others who say that this is how washers are now. I still owe 150.00 on it and hate writing that check.

Two months after my warranty expired, the motor burned out on my dishwasher. I called Maytag to see what they would offer, but they would only offer a discount on the actual part. I was so angry I was ready to buy a new dishwasher and forget about them...but I dont have that kind of cash to throw away. After going 5 weeks without a dishwasher (first-world problem) I paid for the part and a repairman to come and fix the dishwasher. Now 3 months later, the touch panel wont work. I am so upset that I wasted the money to fix this piece of junk. I will never purchase another Maytag again.

We purchased this Maytag top load washer less than three years ago. Spin cycle stopped working and repair for new actuator motor is $240 (machine cost $500). I should have read Maytag’s reviews before we bought it (averaging about 2/5). Living on name - don’t buy one.

Got woken up to the sound of my refrigerator ice lid flapping. Boy is it loud! Called Maytag and found out it was a recall so they will fix. They set up for someone to come out to fix the following week. That was a flop because they did not have the part. I waited 4 hours for someone to show to find out that Maytag scheduled the appointment for nothing - not only did they NOT have the part but they did not have a clue as to when it will come in. Time is valuable! Here we are 5 weeks later and my refrigerator is still flapping and loud. Has been calling Maytag for them to say that the part has been expedited. Well it has been expedited for more than 3 weeks now! Today they say that it will be another month before the part comes in! Not Good! This is such an inconvenience and Ive lost a lot of sleep over this flapping noise. Its an embarrassment when guests come over to our home! Tired of it!
