I cant warn you enough NOT to buy this design flawed machine. Ive only owned mine two months from Home Depot, the install was a nightmare and now due to a poor design flaw, if you miss loose coins or anything in pockets it will get trapped between the drum and the tub causing rattling and noise during spin cycle. Guess what? Service calls EACH time this happens. This is nothing more than a $750 piece of junk. I feel like its marring the whole feel of my new house. I hate hate hate this washer and am trying to get Home Depot to take it back, Maytag to refund me or sell it at a huge loss. This is NOT getting anything you pay for and I vow to NEVER EVER buy Maytag again.

I would have given this washer/dryer a 0 star, but wasnt able to. Bought the pair and first thing, couldnt get enough water in the tub, clothes wallowing around for an hour in the few cups of dirty water that it allows. Cant even believe how terrible this combo washer and dryer is! Now I get to wash everything in this piece of ____ twice, thank you Maytag! Just took out a load and it is dingy and stinks, so now its wet, on the floor waiting its turn to go back for another wash (possibly even a third).If you want clean clothes, do NOT get this washer. Dryer has issues also. For whatever reason, the AF signal has been on for a couple of months. Turn it off and back on and its okay for a bit, then back on. Its the Air Filter. Its not plugged, so I dont know, I just keep using it with intervals of resetting it altogether. What a total waste of money. Am going to give it away for free as soon as I find a replacement! Save yourself a huge headache and look elsewhere than Maytag. Oh, and if Maytag happens to read my review, you can contact me for a refund any time, just respond to this post, you can even come pick it up and get it out of my home. Thanks a bunch!

Have had this set for about three years (was a gift from my parents on having our first child), and its horrible. Clothes come out partially dry, with NEW stains on them, torn or frayed, and twisted into knots. Its supposed to be a high-efficiency washer but we often have to wash things twice to get them clean. We now have two little boys and Im starting to save to buy a different set (no Maytag ever again); disgusted that I cant even sell this set in good conscience. Will either be a donation or an eyesore for the landfill. Worst $1100 ever spent.

I have written to Whirlpool about complaints with this range and was very dissatisfied with response. The following were complaints on above range: Range does not have a light on it as the past ranges had. It is very much needed. Grates on burner are to high, therefore it takes longer for items in pot to heat up. Type of steel used on range is very thin and tiny, in other words very poor quality. This is what has happened since Whirlpool bought out Maytag. Quality of Steel that Maytag used is no longer since Whirlpool took over their products. This is true of All their Appliances (Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, and Ranges). All meaning appliances manufactured by Whirlpool.Manual knobs for turning on oven have been replaced by touch screens, these eventually wear out and are very costly to replace. If it works why change it. Drawers on bottom of range used to be larger, now they are narrow and smaller height wise. Residue on base of burner appears quite frequently and has to be cleaned even if no overspills occur. And why cant Whirlpool make quality merchandise as good as Maytag use to make. Regarding the physical appearance of Range it is very attractive in looks, however Looking good and functioning poorly with inadequate materials used in construction of Appliances outweighs benefits of looking good. My wife and I regret not returning this appliance within 90 days of purchase. In the future we will not purchase Whirlpool or any other appliances manufactured by them if that is possible. Kenmore, LG and perhaps other appliances parts are made by Whirlpool. I received a response from Jake **, Whirlpool Corporation, Executive Office. Our dishwasher developed a smell. We do regular maintenance and care of this dishwasher. Come to discover the entire thing is full of mold. Customer service is rude and expects us to wait two weeks for a service person to come out. Will not use the dishwasher because it is probably making our family sick. I have never experienced customer service like this. DO NOT BUY DISHWASHERS FROM THEM. They don’t care the product is defective and they don’t care about their customers or their safety.

Four years ago we upgraded our 20+ year old Maytag washer and dryer to go with a more water efficient model. The old units were working like champs so we upgraded with Maytag assuming it to be equal quality. From the beginning we were not pleased with the washers cleaning ability and now we have electrical problems and a leaking transmission. Our serviceman estimated repairs to be the cost of a new washer. (Im not talking about a Maytag for replacement.) I e-mailed the Maytag company and they basically said Too Bad. Totally disappointed!! Wish we had our old units back.

I bought a Maytag washer 3 years ago. Maytag gave me a number for one of their warranty service repair shops in my area. The first repair service doesnt even respond to my calls. The second repair service is a total ripoff. So in summary, Im stuck with a 3 year old washer that has a broken drive assembly that the warranty wont cover.

The soap dispenser along with the port it slides in becomes molded and is not easy to clean, front loader. I never had a front loader washer with this moldy problem. I have been cleaning it at least once a month,

Maytag dishwasher model MDB7759SAB, 1 year old and control panel will not work at all. Maytag site does not recognize model #, got part numbers off parts and cant find the parts. Looking for control panel, cant find black one and others are back ordered for weeks. After reading other peoples problems, it seems Maytag would correct the issue.

Also purchase the Maytag MMV405DS-1 over the stove microwave and in less than one year the light kept going out and the unit functions at no regular frequency. The unit is now out of warranty but service is coming to look at the problem again this week because we reported the problem within warranty. Maytag needs to be accountable for selling a lemon which I can only guess has a bad motherboard that they do not want to replace.

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

I have had the Maytag Bravos washer since November 2010. This washer does not clean clothes. They are never even submerged in water. Had I known this, I would never have purchased it. The salesman at Sears surely didnt mention it. I remember being disappointed at the fact that there wasnt a washer in the place with an agitator. I am disgusted with the washer and the company. I realized that it has been over 12 months since we purchased it, but most people do not feel the need to investigate what is going on under the lid of their washer. I unfortunately assumed that the washer was going to wash! Silly me. No, it does a little spin spin and a little spritz of water (literally, thats it) and at the end, you are left with funk concentrated in the creases of your twisted up, stinky clothes. No agitator plus no water equals no clean! The smell is awful. Someone else described it best - a mildewy basement.Anyone else who is claiming that their clothes do not stink with this machine are surely being deceived by strong perfumes in their detergent and fabric softener. To get a true idea of what their clothes really smell like, they should wash a few times with a scoop of borax and no fabric softener. Then tell us how they smell. I am convinced that the entire line of HE washers is a sophisticated line of crap! They use such small amounts of detergent because that little bit of water going into it will not get any more soap out, much less sweat, dirt and lots of other nasty stuff. This may not be a big deal to other people, but it is huge to me. We have a small homestead. Our clothes get dirty. We spent several hundred dollars of hard earned money on a name we trusted and they do not care.Every load, every day, I am reminded of this fact and it infuriates me. Im not typically one to write in complaints, but as an American citizen where there is a free market (somewhat), I have an obligation. If a product is really good, the makers deserve my praise. Likewise, if the product is really bad, the makers (and refuses to compensate in any way) deserve my complaint, as do my hardworking fellow Americans shopping around for a new washer. Stay away from Maytag and if at all possible, stay away from HE machines. It is so true that they dont make them like they used to.PS: Maytag tried to blame this issue on government regulation when I called. Im sick of this passing the buck. I am fully aware of the chokehold government regulations have on business, but they only hurt small business. MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.

I purchased a washer on 8/13/12. I had it installed on 8/20/12. It did not clean clothes properly. I went to Two Guys and they said they dont take returns and told me to call Maytag. I called Maytag and they sent a a service agent to check the machine on 9/10/12. They said the machine codes were imbalanced and over stud. They need to recalibrate the machine. I did laundry the same day and still find clothes do not come clean. I need to return the machine. I called Maytag and was told they dont take returns. This machine is not cleaning clothes as it should be and I want a refund!

I purchased a Maytag model # MRT 18 FFFHO1 refrigerator from Home Depot. After 7 months, it stopped cooling (wouldnt cool below 52 degrees). Fortunately, I had taken out a 5-year extended warranty. Thats the good news. The bad news is that after numerous trips by a certified repair man -- and three spring/summer months without reliable refrigeration -- Home Depot promised a refund. Well see.Bottom line: keep looking for a refrigerator that works. I have tried GE, Frigidaire, Maytag and Sanyo. Since many of these companies are really just one inept cooperation with more names than Frank Abagnale (Catch Me If You Can), let the buyer beware! I would give Home Depot protection plan 5 stars, though. They stayed with me through thick and thin: by emails, phone calls and text messages. However, their protection plan is worth more than Home Depots appliance products -- through no fault of theirs.

Hello, I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer model MVWX655DW from the Home Depot in June of 2017. I can provide the receipt. Within 6 months I had a broken lid switch and the unit would not move through the cycles. Luckily, I had the ability to replace the lid switch at the cost of about $100 just for the part. The repair was fairly involved. This summer, the unit failed to agitate, upon much research, I learned the washer drive hub (which makes the washer agitate and spin) was worn out. It was made of plastic and it is quite a job to get the cover plate off and to replace this part which ranges in price from $20-$45. This is a fairly difficult job and I would not recommend it to most people. It should not be needed in a 3 year old machine. Upon inspection of the drive shaft teeth when I took the washer apart, I found the steel teeth to have significant wear. Why? Now, in mid-November, same issue, the plastic drive hub is worn out again! I was told maybe my shock absorbers for the drum needed to be replaced as the drum may be shaking too much. My previous washer was good for 18 years and I replaced it with this highly recommended model Maytag with the chrome basket. This is absolutely the worst appliance I have had and with every repair, I viewed many, many people with the same complaints and feeling that Maytag should issue a recall on these machines. I will be contacting Maytag and Home depot with my review. The HD installer also stripped the plastic valve one of the water hoses goes on that I had also to replace. A $40 dollar part. This took some disassembly but not as bad as replacing the drive hub every three months. Needless to say, I have to buy a new machine after 3 years of unreliability with his machine. A waste of $500 + of my hard earned money. Very, very disappointed. If I wasnt mechanical and able to fix this washer, it would have cost me hundreds in repair bills. I have receipts of the parts I have purchased for this unit. I hope your experience is better if you have owned one of these machines. Maybe I just got a bad one but many people have complained about this model so I dont believe I am alone. I hate to see good people spend their money on poorly constructed machines. MF12269VEM7 - I purchased a refrigerator in September 2013 and my ice maker stopped working within 1 month of delivery. I had the motor and ice assembly changed 3 times and over 12 service visits within the first 6 months. I had the motor and ice assembly replaced in March 2014 and they offered to extend my warranty for a year. My ice maker has stopped working again. When calling Maytag customer service, I spoke to the Supervisor who will pay for the parts but require me to pay for the service calls. As well they only have a 6-month warranty extension on file. This fridge is obviously a lemon but they will not take any ownership because I did not purchase an extended warranty! The Supervisor state he does not report to anyone and he has the final say regarding my service. I will never buy a Maytag again. A year and a half of ongoing problems and no solution.

I purchased my Bravo Maytag washer, dryer set May 31, 2015. I spent a little extra because they were suppose to be so reliable and last for MANY years. What a HUGE mistake! The washing machine is rusting. (A friend said, although Maytag’s big promotion was Made in America the inferior metal probably came from China). Buy cheap and to “hell” with the consumer! As many horrible reviews as I have read about the Bravo Series of washers and dryers I am shock there has not been a recall or better yet, a class action lawsuit! Purchased my microwave in 2005 and seldom used it. However in the last few months, the halogen light which lights up the range surface has been flickering. When I asked an electrician doing other work around my house to repair it, he discovered that the halogen light is attached with a dual pin socket which is plastic. When the halogen light gets overheated (and halogen produces alight of heat) it melts the plastic. It has already melted some of the plastic socket. When it fails to operate, I will have to repair the light socket which will be very expensive or buy a new microwave. This microwave cost $800 or more because it offered convection cooking which I have seldom used.This is what is presumed quality appliance? Plus I added the cost of an extended warranty.

I purchase my first glass top stove; a Maytag. It came with a 10 year warranty on all elements and the glass top. As this is a first glass top I read through all instructions, there appeared no real warnings on what to do to maintain the glass; or rather what would damage or void a warranty. I simmered some maple syrup, and as it so often does when reaching the proper temperature, it boiled over. On a regular burner, one just uses a little elbow grease and your stove is returned its previous state. This actually pitted the glass, and as the warranty people at Maytag informed me voided the warranty, and seriously weakened the glass top suggesting it would be likely to break. Seriously?????? All of us boil stuff over on the stove top from time to time, and this damages the glass top and voids a warranty??? VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maytags product and their warranty.

DO NOT BUY MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Maytag refrigerator 3 years ago, now it started to leak water on the floor. Repairman said this happens after about 3 years to all Maytag refrigerators because the water hose is too small and gets plugged which causes water to flow into bottom of freezer; 2 inches of ice on bottom of freezer. Now we have to remove everything from freezer and refrigerator, unplug for 2 days to melt ice so we lose all of our food in freezer and refrigerator.

My Maytag dishwasher is not working after 1 years & 60 months. I called Sears, where I got it. Then, Maytag company. It looks like I need to spend $167 for an electronic controller (the push buttons will not turn on) if I do myself (I doubt if I can go it, but I can try). If not, how much will I pay a tech for coming (I was told $59) plus the labor if I let him fix it. So Im looking at a total of approx $400 plus to fix a 1 1/2 yr old Maytag dishwasher. Any comments Maytag??

The machine had automatic fill which did not allow enough water to rinse the clothes properly. I had to run another cycle to rinse the clothes. The machine was also extremely loud. When I had a warranty repairman come out concerning these two item as it was brand new, I was told I should have researched better. I gave it away after 3 months.

I bought this after having a Frigidaire for 40 years and was immediately disappointed upon installation. This OVEN, not a range, was smaller inside and a lot of new pans would not fit! I have replaced the burners and the bulb wiring several times. Would not buy another one!

I purchased a Top Loading Maytag January 2019 (High Efficiency Washer) and I have had problems with it every time I do laundry. It doesnt matter what cycle I have it on. It doesnt fill properly when I put it on deep full. It tangles my clothes so I have to untwist them when I take them out. It has torn some of my things due to twisting. Some areas of the clothes dont even get wet. Some areas also do not get rinsed properly and I have to repeat the cycle. I have had repair people come out and they cant find anything wrong. I am so unhappy with the washing machine and Maytag just ignores the issues I am having. Im going to have to give it away and get some other brand. I am just devastated that I spent all of this money and clothes are getting ruined.

Oven door glass shatters after 6 years of having this oven and the company refuses to cover it. According to them it is not a safety concern. It is actually designed to shatter this way. Wow, thats comforting. Should be 0 stars not 1 star.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

Our 26 month old Maytag fridge (Model MFF2258VEM8) was the french door freezer on bottom modern style fridge. The freezer stopped working. The repair shop took the fridge away and repaired a leak (quality control issue) and then the compressor failed in a test. They wanted $700 to make a repair that would have a 90 day warranty about 1/2 the cost of the fridge. Maytag was contacted at multiple levels and they would not even provide a free compressor or provide a substantial discount on a new fridge. What a way to treat a customer who once had all major Maytag appliances in our home. We decided to get a GE Profile fridge and are very happy with it. I will never buy another Maytag appliance. I dont think it is the great company it once was years ago.

I have never liked the stove because it is too small (it came with the triplex) and it has porcelain like top. One burner burns to hot, the other three mediocre, there isnt enough space between the burners and the back of the stove. It doesnt cook evenly and it really does not have a low or simmering setting. You cant set a timer for simmering because it cooks too fast. The knobs are stuck and sometimes wont light when you turn them down. The oven is okay, but could be better. Wish it had self cleaning. The broiler in no existence. Food way too close to the flames. We have had this oven since we bought the triplex back in 2011.

My Maytag washer has been a problem since we bought it. Maytag washer has been repaired 3 times. Stopped working again. I am 78 years old, I have take myclothes to the laundry mat. First, waiting for the repair then waiting for the parts. If Maytag stands by their product they should replace it.

My Neptune has been a great washing machine. I did have to change the door gasket twice and just recently changed the bearings. My machine sounded like a jet engine. I ordered the parts on eBay, watched a YouTube video, and fixed my Neptune washing machine. Its still working and runs quietly.

Maytag microwave MMV4205BAB - I purchased this microwave in 2007. By 2009, the whole inside was peeling down to the metal. Under the glass plate, the bottom is all rusted. Ive called customer service every year since 2009 and they say the same thing. No extended warranty, nothing they can do. They acknowledged that this was not normal, but they did nothing! Do not buy anything from Maytag. If you do, buy all of the expensive warranties or you will be sorry like I am.

Maytag Bravos XL he Washing Machine - Having owned several Maytag washers in the past, I thought this would be perfect, instead, it is the worst washing machine I have ever had. This machine does not clean well at all, spots on clothes stay put. I have tried different amounts of HE detergent and clothes are twisted and wrinkled terribly and have remaining soap residue on them, even when I use less soap than recommended. I wish I would have returned this machine immediately after a few loads. It doesnt get better with time. It is very loud, but that is the least of its problems.

My Maytag Refrigerator Freezer model MFI2569VEM4 started leaking water into base under bottom freezer door. It then fills up and freezes into solid sheet of ice and overflows and leaks into floor. Ruins Hardwood Floor. BEWARE!!!!! I have now seen several similar complaints online. Mine started doing this less than 2 years old!!!!!

Ive had other dishwashers over the years. Ive had this Maytag now for almost 12 years and never had a problem with it. It cleans better than any others Ive owned. HIGHLY recommend the Maytag.

After only three years of gentle use, my Maytag front loading washer bearing went. The repairman said this was because of too much detergent and the repair bill would be over $1100.00 (more than the cost of a new machine). I would never buy this machine again.

Faulty control board. Have owned a Maytag dishwasher model MDB6769PASI for 2.5 years. The unit started beeping at random times for about a week - then went dead! Sounds like other reported failures and it is unlikely repairs will be permanent! Never again Maytag.

I purchased it 8 months ago. I have had problems with the machine leaving clothes soaked at the end of cycle. I have contacted Maytag (still under warranty) and they replaced the motor. The first load after repair still had the same problem. They said the check drain was not clogged. The snaked drain has no backups. After every wash, I have to reset the cycle to drain and spin. The machine spins for seconds and fills back up with water and doesnt spin again, but does drain. Clothes are sopping wet at the end of cycle. I contacted Maytag. They said I could be billed for customer education ($129) if they find no problem (threat). I want my money for purchase returned or at least 3/4ths. I expected my new machine to last years, not months.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher 4 years ago, we had to have it serviced a few months after purchase for the soap & rinse agent dispenser not working, then a few months after warranty was up the buttons on machine wouldnt work, the control panel failed so we had to pay for a new one and install it... Well last night exactly one year from the install of the new control panel I walked into my kitchen to find it full of smoke and the dishwasher pour out smoke, when my husband came home he took the door off and sure enough the control panel was burnt and melted! Very scary. It is a very good thing I was home and this is why I never leave appliances running if I am not home.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer pair in 2009. Over those 5 years I have had at least 8 shirts come out of the washer with tears in the armpits. First I thought it was my armpits destroying the cloth. Then I thought it was cheap cotton (all my shirts are 100% cotton) from foreign manufacturers. Ive had two shirts destroyed this week, this mornings was really thick material. Usually when I remove clothes from the washer, they are entwined and twisted. Consistently when I wash any load including a towel or two, the washer becomes unbalanced. My clothes often have a foul odor after washing. My theory is that the lack of a center agitating spindle is allowing the clothes to tangle, and not really cleaning them. I have to use the extra rinse setting or the clothes come out covered with soap suds. In summary, Im not happy with this washer and will never buy another Maytag appliance. Im also not sure the high-efficiency technology has had all the kinks ironed out.

I would like to say that I am highly dissatisfied with paying $1200 for a refrigerator that only can produce ice once every 12 hours and 90% of the time the over fill lever gets stuck so it will not make more. I would recommend anyone to not buy anything Maytag ever.

Bought new washer and dryer from Home Depot. The worst washer and dryer I ever bought. Own 11 house all have washer and dryers. Bought Maytag on brand reputation. Washer does not rinse close at all. They come out full of lint and soap. It rips sheets up. Takes like 70-90 minutes to wash and close have to be washed over cause they dont rinse out. Dryer takes (2) runs to dry. Depot said they couldnt take them back. $300 Roper washer and dryer work much better than these units I paid like $1100.00 for. Maytag reputation is **. I have Amana front loads in another house that wash in 29 minutes and they come out perfect. Amana dryer works great also. DONT BUY MAYTAG ON THEIR ** REPUTATION AND CONSUMER SERVICE WONT DO ANYTHING!!! I would add the receipt but it just a waste of time.

Purchased dishwasher Mod # MDB7749SBM1 thinking it was Maytag (lonely repairman) in June 2013 from Home Depot. Cost new over $1,000. As of March 2016, three service calls, two of which required replacement of the control panel. Now the control panel has failed a third time and we are told by Whirlpool (parent company of Maytag dishwashers) they will not cover the repair. They have offered a discount for a new dishwasher. Since that did not seem like a very good option to me, they offered to let me pay for current service plus a year for over $350.00. I was sad to discover that they are the manufacturer of most dishwashers available at your local home store dealer (Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Roper, Amana). VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!

Our Maytag Bravos is 4 years old. Settings are preset at the factory. Besides the glitches others have written, the hot water sensor INSIDE the machine has gone out. This means - no clothes can be washed on the hot setting, and the warm setting gives only lukewarm water. I have had more than one plumber look at the machine, and the consensus is...the internal sensor needs replacement. However, this machine being only 48 months old, I am debating whether or not just to buy a new machine. This is a HE washer, and I am very disappointed in its performance. This is the worst Maytag machine I have ever owned.

I purchased Maytag dishwasher (model # MDBH979AWW3) in June of 2010. Trouble started on washer after 18 months. Touch pad buttons dont all seem to be working. Occasionally gets to run after slamming door multiple times, but dispenser doesnt function properly. After trying to diagnose myself with door switches, connectors, etc., I caved in and called service. Service quoted $470 parts and labor to fix the problems, including control touch panel, dispenser, and control board (seems common from what I read here). Wish I had seen this string of posts before I called Maytag/Whirlpool customer service to see if they would help before I did any repairs. The responses I got from the service rep were rigid and scripted. Only time she varied from the script was to explain that modern high-efficiency appliances dont tend to last as long as ones 20 years ago. 18 months? Really? I might buy that if it was a mechanical durability design issue. Supervisors responses were also scripted, pointing back to the 12-month warranty. She said she did a warranty search on my model and that there was no warranty concern for this problem (really?). If there was, she might be able to help me. I guess there is no warranty history because most failures are between 12-24 months and the consumer has to pay for replacement outside of warranty. No semblance of customer service or customer care, just repeating what is on their website. Response was: I am sorry you are dissatisfied with the product and my response, but there is nothing I am authorized do. Sent an email to Maytag customer service regarding the problem and customer service interaction. They called back saying they stand by the original customer reps response, but offered to have someone else come out to give a second opinion on the problem. From what I read here, that doesnt seem necessary. Wish Maytag/Whirlpool would at least acknowledge that there is a problem, even the auto industry seems to have figured out a way to equip the service industry with known recurring problem history (TSB) and offer token help to keep customer loyalty. Apparently another quality organization fallen victim to short-sighted methods of maintaining shareholder value.

Maytag Bravos electric steam dryer purchased 2009 - I have had to replace the door hinges within one year of usage at my expense. The blower belt and pulley had come off twice, the last time about a half hour after the repairman (again at my expense) left. I put it back on myself and if it comes off again, I will use Locktite to glue it on the blower shaft. I figure I will be lucky if this crap lasts a couple more years anyway. No more Maytag for us! What does it take for the consumer to get some representation with regard to lemon laws here? I will take my wrath out on Home Depot here since I have no recourse. If enough people complain, maybe they will stop selling that junk. I also will disregard Consumer Reports in the future.

We purchased our Maytag Refrigerator Model # MBF2258DEHM on 12/21/2015. Just a couple of issues I would like to bring to your attention before you purchase your Maytag. The single refrigerator door does not close automatically. You have to close the door. The metal handle is metal and has a metal smell and feel to it. The stainless steel door and the handles are not the same finish. Although this might not be a problem for some who like the industrial look I prefer my hands to be free of chemicals while I am preparing food. The ice maker takes up too much room. The ice maker should have been an option, not a standard item. I had a Kitchen Aid for 10 years and loved it. I thought I was going to have my Kitchen Aid for 15 years or more. I would have purchased another Kitchen Aid, but the reviews were not good.

We bought this Maytag MFI2269DRM01 Fridge/Freezer in June 2016. We have nothing but trouble. First the center rail holding up the Fruit/Veg drawers snapped within a month then the freezer drawer would not close properly which gave us all sorts of problems (door open lights flashing and fridge staying on longer. Lights not working etc.) The service tech came out and tried to fix it and went away saying it was not repaired that he would need a new freezer drawer. In the meantime I had to push the drawer to try and get it to work right. Now the handle is loose and the stainless steel front of the drawer is damaged by pushing it in so much.This repair started in November and now it is the end of March. I asked them to replace the complete unit but they say that the warranty is just to repair. It seems like they have no parts to fix this. Then the new center rail snapped again!!! When they sent the part out to me to install, I found the main frame of the Fruit/Veg rack at the back had snapped. Everything is brittle plastic with not enough support. (The only vegetable that I think I can put in the drawers is mushrooms.) I thought by buying a Maytag that the name sold it. What a piece of junk it is!!! Will never buy another Maytag product!!!

This washer is the worst! Dont buy it! I paid a huge amount of money only to have it break down in 3 years! My husband and I live without children so our use is minimal. The spin cycle started to make a noise sounding like an airplane taking off. The repairman said it could be fixed for $800 and his service call, he told me that there were over 2400 complaints with this washer for the same product. He also told me not to use it while Im out to avoid the risk of flooding my home! Save your money and DONT BUY MAYTAG products.

The design capacity of the dishwasher is not conducive to cleaning a full load. Within 3 months of purchase one of the interior baskets broke. I will never buy another Maytag product again. I was a fool in believing this was a top of the line dishwasher.

We bought a Maytag 2000 Series machine about 2 years ago. At first the machine worked great, as a new machine should. Then, after about 7 months water started pouring out of the top dispenser for detergent. I read the manual and looked online at the Maytag website for common problems. It said that sometimes small clothing gets sucked through the hose and needs to be unclogged. I followed the instructions to fix the problem. It worked fine for about 2 weeks later during the middle of a load the machine would stop and give me error codes. I looked these codes up and now I have another clog on the drain tube that needs to be fixed. Lo and behold these 2 problems have been continuing ever since. I cannot do a load of laundry without getting a code and having to take the machine apart. I called Maytag to explain my situation and the customer service representative said that because I fixed the problem myself at this point there is nothing that can be done. They do not guarantee that their equipment will work nor will they help solve the problem. I cannot believe that we spent so much money on something that I cant use. Not to mention the fact that when I do complete a load some of the clothes are ruined by the machine ripping holes in them. I would not recommend buying a Maytag because they dont care about customer satisfaction or the quality of machines they sell.

Once again I purchased a maytag appliance. I was hesitant because of poor past experience. I bought a refrigerator, lasted 3 years, and a stove, a little better 4 years. When I went to buy a dishwasher at home depot, they assured me that maytag had improved their standards and now were more conscious of maintaining the quality of their products. Long story short, I bought the dishwasher in april of 2015 and now in october of 2015 the control panel is shut. I have requested a repair, but find this unacceptable as the life of appliances seems short at best. I am fearful this could be on going as I now am reading the customer reviews, and 90% of them have had this trouble more than once.

Were focused on maximizing the benefits of our worldwide network of resources, which is unmatched in the industry.I believe that leaving me for up to two months without a range, so that I cant cook meals for myself every day, and for my family during the Christmas holidays is not living up to your brand promise. We purchased washer at Sears 6 years ago. Have had same issues for 5 or more years. Sears has been out to check it 6 to 7 times! They clean it out, tell me to use (expensive) Affresh tablets monthly, problem solved but it never is! When we run our washer and walk in laundry room it smells like a sewer. If we open lid its even worse. I use Norwex all naturally, biodegradable laundry detergent. There is nothing Ive done to create this smell. Its a manufactured problem that probably relates to ALL the other issues with this crappie washer that Maytag will do nothing about. I called Sears for 7th or 8th time, said they could send someone out AGAIN, I said thats a waste of my time and yours. They told me to call Maytag. They wont do anything (warranty is up). Of course there are NO ISSUES OR RECALLS on this washer and obviously there should be with not ONE good review! Im angry. You all should be too. We paid good $ for a product that used to have a good name and they are screwing us. I think we should ban together with a class action lawsuit. Please give me your thoughts. They know something isnt right and they shouldnt get away with this.

Purchased our Maytag Centennial Washer Model MVWC400XW4 2 years and 5 months ago; guess we are luckier than most; it has now failed in the spin cycle, high pitch, high volume whine, sounds like it is about to explode. Needless to say is out of warranty; and too expensive on our limited income to have a technician repair. I will hope to make the repairs myself; nothing to lose at this point; and from reading the countless negative reviews about this product; should be as many countless repair suggestions on YouTube. Obviously if Maytag would stand behind/up for their product as they claim they do; I and many others would not have these issues. My wife and I for sure will never buy another Maytag product until Maytag resolves the issue, which if my calculations are correct will be never. My advice is simple, do not buy Maytag products.

Ive had my Maytag oven for about 5 years and the oven and burners are still working perfectly. The problem is the light bulbs. One of the light bulbs has a rickety connection because I have to keep twisting the bulb every time I turn it on to keep the light on. My other light bulb burned out and Im not replacing it because Im concerned the problem is in the electrical part where I screw it in, not the bulb itself, so Im leaving it off and am using the other annoying bulb and I installed a lamp under the counter to compensate for the missing light from the other stove bulb. The most important part of the oven are the cooking features so even though the bulb situation is annoying, it cooking features perform well.

We purchased a 3K Maytag refrigerator/freezer and purchased an extended warranty as well. 5 months later the ice machine stopped working. We called Maytag to get it repaired since its under the 1 yr factory warranty and they sent an appliance service company they contract with to repair it. 6 service calls and two months later its still not repaired. I called Maytag back to say if you cant fix it please replace it. They say it needs to be deemed not repairable to even consider replacement and that they would send out a different repair company. As of yesterday (9/(9/14) another month and a half and 5 trips from the second repair company and it still does not work, so I call Maytag again to complain and they give me the same line ....needs to be deemed unrepairable... How long and how many service calls does it take to fix a ice maker? How much work and how many hours do I need to miss to get what I paid for? I went to their website and it talks about how their mission statement is customer service etc, etc, etc..... Thats just a bunch of lip service and judging by the HUNDREDS of complaints I have read this is their standard method of operation.... I for one will not let this go and will be filing a claim in small claims court to get what I paid for..... BE WARNED if you are looking to purchase a appliance.

I purchased a Maytag dryer #MEDB400VQ for $715.48 along with a 5-year warranty for $119.99 on March 30/2012. Since then, the dryer has broken six times. Our warranty stated that after it breaks 3 times, we would get a new dryer. All claims for a new dryer have been denied. The dryer is still broken, going on 10 days, only to find out that parts needed are on back order for two more weeks. This is unacceptable! I will never ever buy a Maytag again and will tell all family and friends my story so they do not purchase a Maytag and go through the hell that Maytag has put my family of five through!

Maytag Bravos top load washing machine - This is the worst washing machine I have ever used. Like some of the other complaints it leaves lint on your clothing. It does not put enough water in the machine. The so called smart technology that senses your load does a terrible job. Your clothing is halfway out of the water, with dry spots, even after 10 minutes of agitation. I am constantly adding 3 to 5 gallons of water to my loads to get things in the water. And if I want to let thing soak for a while you have to unplug the machine, because after 10 minutes it will automatically drain the water out. 2 years of dissatisfaction. I cant wait for it to die. I should have come to this site first. Never buy a machine without an agitator!

I bought my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 08 or 09, and it has smelled like mold and mildew for years but I still have to use it because I cant afford to get a new one. I cant get the smell out. Also, I have to take the pump apart at least once a year due to the fact that sometimes, no matter how you check your pockets, change still gets left behind and they dont make a screen or filter that will keep the change out of the pump. It is not hard to do, but the first year I had it, it were in the service center as much as it was home. I was glad when someone told me what was happening because I fix it myself in like 15 minutes and move on. But it should come with a self service manual showing how to do this procedure to save people money.

Perfect for me. It would be better if I had a space to put it without adjacent walls. Mine sits with the refrigerator door against a wall and I have to pull it out to the door space to open it wide enough to pull out the drawers to take them out for cleaning. Otherwise, it has worked very well for me by myself, for me and my husband when he was alive and for my son and his family and myself, and he has 5 children.

I purchased our washer and dryer together in 2012. Now my washer is making a really bad sound on the spin cycle. I talked to Maytag in Tenn. and they wanted 130.00 just to show up. Plus 300 to 500 for the parts that was needed. Wow. I am retired and on a fix income. I called a local repairman in OkC. After telling him the brand of washer I had, he said he would not come out to fix it because of the money would be expensive. 300 to 500 dollars for parts. We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

Maytag front loader model number MHWE251YG - Purchased washer and dryer 2 years ago. Purchased extended warranty from Lowes. Have had the washer worked on by Lowes repair service over 7 times. It stopped working again tonight. Full load of soaking wet clothes, it wont drain or wash anything. Just hums and then beeps just like all the other time it stop working.

Brand new shirts yesterday and they have black stains all over them - not the first time either. Inside of stainless steel tub looks clean. Where do the black marks come from? Purchased an Admiral Washer on 07/19/2010 from Home Depot in May of 2011 was washing clothes and washer flooded my wash room. Cold water would not turn off. Had to use shutoff valve on wall. Called for service through Maytags toll free number it took me 10 days to get through, then I was told that they did not have anyone in my area that could fix my washer that was still under warranty and there was nothing they could do. I called Home Depot and they said there was nothing they could do it was the manufactor problem.I Called several appliance repair places that advertise as maytag repair and they would not touch it!Called back in July of 2011 could not reach anyone at maytag service. My warranty expired 07/19/2011,yesterday 08/08/2011 I recieved a letter from Maytag wanting me to buy an extended warranty.I called an ask them why I should buy an extended warranty when they wouldnt even honor the original warranty they pulled up the records where I had called for service and told me I should have kept calling back that they take care of their customers etc. etc. but there was nothing they could do now because the washer was out of warranty.I called about a new water valve for this washer $56 for part $100 for labor including service call. Now I faced with a decision try to repair this piece of junk or scrap it a buy a new washer( not a Maytag or a Whirlpool) I am not rich I am elderly and live on a fixed income, it took me 6 months to pay off this washer at Home Depot!!!!!

This has been the worst washing machine I have ever owned!!! Purchased 3 years ago and this is the 3rd time the bearings dont work again. It make loud clanking noises. Then fails to spin at all. The first time it broke was the 1st year we owned it. It is sitting in our hallway and I can hardly wait for it to leave my house. Talked to the local appliance dealer and they never recommends these washers. I told dealer I must have gotten a lemon. He replied that it wasnt a lemon, that the machine tubs have gotten so much bigger and they have needed to upgrade the bearing system and are unwilling to do it. Dealer has highly recommended the Speed Queen. Based on the stellar reviews that is what will be coming to our house today. I can hardly wait. I know, its just a washing machine but frustration has overcome me. The Speed Queen has no plastic parts. We went with the knob style as opposed to the electronic push buttons. Less to go wrong. The warranty on the Speed Queen is top of the line, 5-year parts and labor. The salesperson didnt even try to sell me a warranty. No need to. Speed Queen stands by their product. I only recommend the Maytag Bravo XL if you dont have enough stress in your life.

Theres nothing at all good about this machine. It is impossible to work with. Ive hated it since the day I got it. Dont buy it, ever, ever, ever. You cant put additional items in once its started, you cant adjust a load thats uneven and get it to complete a cycle, it takes forever to do one wash and it often rinses multiple times and theres no way to stop it. I HATE THIS MACHINE. HATE IT. LIKE ITS A PERSON. HATE. Is that clear enough?

I purchased 4 new Maytag appliances as part of a kitchen update. The dishwasher was the first to fail, less than a year after being installed. The control panel stopped working (random lights would come on, always different from the one being pressed, and frequently incompatible selections such as Rinse Only and Sanitize. PC Richards sent a repairman with a new part, no charge. A few weeks ago, it happened again. PC Richards says that replacement parts are only under warranty for 90 days, so now the repair is on me. I could pay or repair it myself or pay PC Richards to do it. Thank goodness I am handy, but I still have to pay for the part. Now I am reading that the MDB7749 series has a history of this problem. When is Maytag going to own up and issue free repairs? I certainly will never buy Maytag again, as both the range and the refrigerator also have common problems. Luckily, I paid for the 10-year service agreement on those appliances.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher delivered in dec 2012. We are snowbird Canadians and the dishwasher is only used 5 months per year. Jan 2015 the control panel quit working and the repairman tells me the wires on the control panel have started to melt down. He called Maytag and was told they had extended the warranty on this machine for one more year. Missed it by 2 months. Considering this was only really used one year, I am very disappointed. How can an extended warranty on a safety issue only be for one year? This is my first Maytag product and will be my last. I only purchased it because I was told Whirlpool bought them out and I have never had a problem with Whirlpool.

At first my dishwasher worked great and I have always been really good about rinsing my dishes before I put them in. Starting a few months back I noticed my dishes were coming out gritty then all of a sudden it started backing up into our sink.

This washer is only two years old and does the wash for 2 people. The control board has broken down and the lid lock did too. Of course the warranty had just expired, so there is no help from the maker, Whirlpool. Save yourself a big loss and dont buy these brands. Mine is going to the dump where it belongs. Thats $500 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and get a Speed Queen.

After replacing plastic parts that spin tub twice, now the computer is wasted. Purchased not even 3 yrs ago, now I have to buy a new washer because the computer system is not covered under warranty. REALLY!! The most expensive part. Not worth fixing. Never washed really dirty clothes when it wasnt broke down. Agree with the class action I would be in. Dont buy people and now I am off to pay to wash my clothes.

This was purchased 3/25/2010 with the Home Depot Service Contract thru 3/2015 . We have already had a service call in 2013. We were OK until January 2015. Now we join many other customers with the leaking defroster. We have taken all the steps of the other customers. We went and called for a service appointment. Weve spoken to Maytag Customer Service 800-253-1301. Ive asked if there was recall? NO! I asked if there was log made of my call, NO! Any work done had to with Maytag Authorized Repair Person. The Home Depot Contract use a Non-Authorized Service Person. Weve gone to Home Depot. We are in a catch 22! We have spent good money on this refrigerator. Out of sight, out of mind. We will go back to Home Depot Again!

Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW3 - Control panel problem just like everyone else describes. Bought in Nov 2014... how disappointing!! My husband is sure he can fix it if I buy the part. I went online to order the control panel, and of course because Im in Canada I cant ship the part directly from the website, I have to call the Canadian Sears Part Dept., its about $200! As I came across all these reviews I am even contemplating if I should waste our time and money trying to fix this thing... Maytag never again!!!

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher at Home Depot in White Bear, MN in November of 2011. The dishwasher just quit running last week and the repair person told us the control board needs replacement. We will have the control panel replaced but have determined this machine is of very poor quality and will never buy a Maytag appliance again.

We purchased this oven (MGR5775QDS ) along with a Refrigerator/Freezer, Dishwasher and Microwave on 2007 when we remodeled our kitchen. Since then the Refrigerator had to be serviced twice, the Dishwasher had a recall for fire safety - repaired, but I still have a scorched bottom tray, and the oven after self cleaning once has warped and the racks will not hold anything with any weight without collapsing. Maytag sent me new racks about a year ago, but that didnt help. I grill most of my meals or cook on the stovetop but on the rare occasion we try and use the oven it’s a nightmare. We lost a Thanksgiving Turkey and Easter Ham and recently a lasagna and a glass pan. Every time we have one of these events I search the internet in hopes that there has been some kind of recall on this model. It’s not safe. When the 20 lb turkey came crashing down, my wife was nearly burned by the juices that splattered and the house filled up with smoke. Happy Thanksgiving from Maytag - everyone go stand outside in the cold for 1/2 an hour while we clear out the smoke in the house. Recently when the rack collapsed and hot lasagna came crashing down, the glass/pyrex tray broke and left a huge bubbly mess in the bottom of the oven. Yay Maytag, thanks again - ruined a dinner, broke a dish and since we can’t use the self clean option, spent the rest of the evening scrubbing out the oven... and eating takeout food on Valentine’s Day. Sounds like the perfect Romantic evening right? I am so sickened with this company. We purchased all Maytag appliances because of their reputation. But now they dont even stand behind their products. What a shame.

Bravos XL - This machine purchased in 2014 at Home Depot service plan, needed major repairs just over a year old. Tech working on this machine replaced the whole tub assy after Maytag want to just do the cheap repair and just do a bearing kit. Reading online all the hundreds and hundreds of the same complains Maytag has done nothing in good faith to replace these junk washers!! My washer is now leaking under the washer less than a year after the last repair!! My good friend purchased the same machine and has had the same issues and his has been down for weeks because the poor service person from Maytag service broke some of the new parts! Now the washer is leaking again. WHAT can be done. This not right!!! Public needs to be warned about these flawed machines and Home Depot is still promoting these Junk machines!!!

The Maytag Bravo Washing Machine was sold as the top of the line. In reality it is very difficult to work with for three specific reasons. First, the spin speed is too high causing the clothes to be wound into tight balls causing pilling and the need to iron everything from t-shirts to workout pants. Second, the spin speed is so high that you can only put a few towels in the washer at a time or the machine goes off kilter several times a cycle. Finally, if you lower the spin speed the items take forever to dry. I used this for less than 30 days and tried to return it but Maytag would not take it back. The only cycle type I can use is the rapid wash unless I want to spend all day washing and drying one load. I hate this washer more than I can describe and will NEVER purchase another Maytag product. It absolutely ruins your clothes and Maytag takes no responsibility for making a very bad product.

The cost was right for the quality of the product. Brand was also a factor. We have had no problems either machine, both work as expected and have fully met our expectations. We recommend these products. Energy efficiency, ease of use and capacity were all considerations in making the selection we made. Maytag continues to hold a good reputation. Regular repairs, low quality construction and a cheap finish which looks tacky and is also difficult to clean would each be deal breakers. We purchased our full-sized, side by side Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer gently used from a private party who needed to obtain different models due to a remodel of their laundry/utility room. We paid about $600 for the pair.

Purchased a Maytag washer for my family of 8 because we do a lot of laundry and our Samsung washer failed after 3 years. I thought Maytag was a more reliable brand and was hopeful. The machine stopped working after less than 4 months of service. Manufacturers warranty repair came out and said it needed three new parts, motor, clutch and chip - said it would be another 2-3 weeks depending on parts. So all total without a washer for 4 weeks minimum - call the customer service people (first one was rude and short), 2nd one after 45 minutes on hold - told me the were no other options other than wait for the repair. Four months after a brand new washer and it failed. I requested a replacement option and they said no way. Their hotline talks about a positive customer experience and that seems to be a joke. Not helpful, super frustrated and they do not seem to care about the customer experience at all - terrible product and service

I got a washer from a Menards Store in Fond du Lac, WI. I was given a line of crap at how great it was, and because Ive used Maytag for years I bought it. Id rather have my 20 plus old one back. At least it didnt take over an hour for a load, and the rinse cycle really worked. WE HATE YOUR NEW WASHER. As soon as we can afford a different washer well be looking for a different brand.

I bought a Maytag side by side fridge freezer in 2010 at a cost of £2000. Having come back from a week away it had entirely defrosted spoiling all the contents. An engineer came to look at it but said the fault was unrepairable so he wrote it off. Maytag (Whirlpool) think that it is perfectly ok for a 5 year old fridge freezer costing two grand should now pack up. I, on the other hand, do not... They offered me £700 of the cost of a new Maytag. Joy! I thought. However, this one does not make ice or have chilled water (the principal reason for buying Maytag in the first place). I was then told that this was the ONLY fridge freezer in the entire Maytag or Whirlpool range. Is there nothing else you can do to help? I pleaded. No was the reply. The moral of this story is going posh on an American Fridge freezer is not guarantee that you will get the after sales service that the price would suggest.

I have a Maytag dishwasher and the rollers for the racks are failing due to heat: plastic wheels breaking up. $35 each to buy and replace. There are eight total. So $280 because of poor testing and quality of materials. Manufacturers should test to ensure the parts last a reasonable period of time and are designed for the environment in which they are being used.

In the winter of 2007, we remodeled our kitchen and bought all new Maytag appliances. They cost a little more but we felt that we were getting a good quality product. Within months, the handle on the freezer became loose and I had to call for a repairman to tighten it. He told me we should buy the extended warranty because only a trained repairman could fix the handle. That turned out to be untrue thankfully because if it was true, I would have to call for repair at least once a month. The handle is constantly coming loose. A few months later, the microwave would turn on when the door was closed. I called repair as it was still under warranty. After he removed and replaced the door, I was told that we have to be careful when we close the microwave. There was nothing he could do to stop the problem. Approximately three years after we purchased the appliances, we had a problem with the dishwasher. We could only use one function; the others would not work. We were told by the technician that we got water into the door where the controls are and ruined the motherboard. I never heard anything so absurd. I have had a dishwasher in the same place for 25 years with no mishap. The cost of repair was $800. A few months later, we had a problem with the large burner on our cooktop. The outer coils heat up but the inner coils do not. I have yet to call for repair because I do not trust Maytag. Now, our microwave does not work. My husband used it to make popcorn with no problem. A little while later, I tried to heat a cup of coffee and it would not heat. The keypad works, the light comes on in the microwave but the motor does not run. Needless to say, we are very unhappy and will never buy another Maytag appliance. I wish I would have read the reviews before we purchased the appliances. Two of our friends had their kitchens remodeled at the same time we did and they have not had any problems with their appliances. But they didnt buy Maytag. I guess thats why.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Automatic Washer 6/28/09. The interior enamel around the bleach dispenser started rusting about six months ago and it’s getting worse. Our white clothes are getting rust stains on them. Otherwise the machine works well, but what a huge flaw. We will buy a new machine, but not a Maytag.

Bravos XL MCT model#MVWB835DW. Bought this new. After 2 weeks called Maytag. Washing machine did not work. I called off and on for 7 months to Maytag customer service. During this time they tried to do troubleshooting over the phone. Sent technician out. He said that there was problems with this model, that they were working on updates and would get back to me. 10 months after installation, technician came out. Washing machine worked, but still took 2 to 3 hours to wash one load of clothes. Started calling Maytag again. Washer now take 3 to 5 hours to wash load of clothes. You also have to do extra spin cycles (1 to 9 times) to get water out. A year later they send technician out. He tells me that this machine wasnt made to do loads larger than medium, that it cannot wash heavy items such as sweaters, sweatshirts, towels, blankets or comforters. That the normal cycle is not to be used. This is not a working function on this model. It is there because of regulations. Called back to Maytag. They said it was out of warranty and that there was nothing that they could do.

Bought a Maytag MVWX655DW top loader clothes washer from Best Buy on 7-7-2020 it was delivered as promised on Friday 7-10-2020. The people who delivered it were very professional and nice. They did a great job installing it. My wife went to use it for the first time Saturday morning 7-11-2020. Luckily this washer had a see through door. We could not believe our eyes, it never put enough water in the tub to cover the clothes. So as we watched the clothes on top never participated in the wash, they just moved around. When it went to spin cycle it was making a loud clicking sound as it was shaking. So we tried different settings, after 3 loads I called BB and said I want to return it. This machine has been mislabeled, its not a clothes washer, its a noise maker at best. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. IT DOESNT WASH CLOTHES.

I’m so disappointed in this refrigerator! It does not keep a steady temperature. It’s only 3 years old and will not buy another Maytag. I do like the freezer on the bottom but it also does not keep a steady temperature.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator. Big big mistake. It bangs, makes all kinds of noises. The bottom freezer has ice that builds up once in a while, has to be unloaded and thawed out. We have had several service calls and they do not know whats wrong. Trouble started about a month out of warranty. Called Maytag and they would not do anything. WE are very disappointed in Maytag. We spent more money to get a good product and ended up with junk. We are getting rid of it and buying one that is made by a company that knows what they are doing.

I have had a Maytag smoothtop stove for over 20 years. The only drawback has been when someone left an empty pan on a hot burner. Some of the pan melted to the top which could not be removed. I have to get special pans to conduct the heat, too. Overall, I love it. It has a self-cleaning oven, too, which is a bonus.

I bought my Maytag Quiet Series 300 about 6 or 7 years ago. About January this year the clean light quit working but the dishwasher was still doing its job. Every once in a while the clean light would come on again and then go away. I did not worry about this as the dishwasher was still working despite the absent clean light. I did call Maytag and told them about this. I believe I even asked if they (customer service rep.) had heard about this and was told no. Last Friday the start button no longer works which means the dishwasher will not function. Some of the other lights/buttons work but not start or clean. I have dealt with Maytag repair service/customer service before about my Maytag washer. I know they are not much help and I always end up paying a lot of money. I am not interested in calling a Maytag repair person in and paying from what 300.00 to 400.00 dollars to get it fixed. Past experience of others seem to prove that it will break down again. Last Maytag appliance that I will ever buy. I used to be a loyal customer. I want to join the class action suit. Please tell me how I can join.

I PURCHASED A WALL OVEN ABOUT 4 months ago. Used the self cleaning, oven blew fuse and some other part, had to wait for almost 2 weeks for repair because of self cleaning liner is now peeling and leaving fine particles. Maytag said it was ok, they would not replace, the liner doesnt have a replacement part so Im going to have to buy a new oven to feel safe for my family meal.

Is there any place to give a zero to this Maytag Front Load Washing Machine Model MHW5500FW1 and if there is a class action lawsuit please include us! We have owned other Maytag Washing Machines and never experienced such an epic failure as we have with this washing machine! We were so excited when we purchased our new Maytag washer/dryer set in March of 2018 we even remodeled our pantry/laundry room to accommodate them! As the chief operator of the washing machine, I have literally cried at what a mistake weve made! We have no complaint of the Maytag dryer. Let me describe my new normal procedure for laundering a load of clothes. First, load the washer with clothes then press power/cancel then press rapid wash let the clothes get HOPEFULLY saturated with water then hit hold to start and then hit power/cancel this shuts off the washing machine. I then press power/cancel again and select normal and the water empties out of the washing machine from the prior load and then starts to refill, if the add a garment light comes on (when it wants too) and no I dont change any pre-set settings I am able to add extra water with a pitcher, if this procedure works I let the washer run its 1-hour and 48-minute cycle. If not, I have to start over again because the add garment light wouldnt come on to allow the door to unlock. After the clothes are finished I again press power/cancel then hit rapid wash put my fabric softener in the dispenser press hold to start and let it run its 36-minute cycle making sure my clothes are rinsed appropriately and not stiff because of the lack of water. I neglected to say that when Ive tried tricking the washer and think I am able to add extra water, if Ive added too much the sensing kicks in and the washing machine drains all the water out on its own and refills with the little water it allows! Which is maddening! I throw up my hands and sit down and cry!!! I have contacted Maytag/Whirlpool complaining about the lack of water and their wacky water sensor! I asked them how can you conserve water and electricity when you have to wash your clothes over and over with long wash cycles? This doesnt make sense! My white clothes are now dingy and stiff as well as the colored. Maytag says you can use powdered detergents if its HE High Efficiency powdered detergents, but thats not true. The detergent doesnt dissolve and ends up on the clothes at the end of the long wash cycle because of the lack of water! From the beginning I adjusted the amount of powdered detergent for the front load washer and have to dissolve it in hot water prior to washing and hopefully am able to add it to the clothes if the add a garment will let me! I have now resorted to extra cycles to rinse out any remaining detergent hoping my clothes will be soft and fresh smelling. I had planned to replace my old Maytag agitator washing machine with this piece of junk front loader, fortunately we kept our old washing machine as a back up!

The oven hasn’t caused any issues. It’s beautiful stainless steel and black finish creates a shiny but modest finish to my kitchen. It’s self cleaning power is also useful and saves time and where I come from time is money. It cooks food evenly just as an oven should.

We purchased a bottom freezer refrigerator from the Home Depot in 2013 and I am sorry to say this refrigerator does not deserve any stars. Immediately after the warranty was up our refrigerator started leaking all over the floor. The drain clogged and freezes up on the bottom under the freezer. When it becomes full, it leaks all over my hardwood floor. I have now become a slave to this refrigerator. Each week I have to open the freezer and get down on my hands and knees to break up the ice, scoop it out, toss it in the sink. I have spread the word and I hope anyone who reads this does as well. Never buy a Maytag product because not only do they make defective products, they wont own up to it and recall it.
