We purchased our Neptune washer and dryer combo MLG2000AWW from Circuit City in 1999 for $1900 also purchased the extended warranty. Here we are 15 years later and time to replace with new Samsung units. Besides having the main bearing replaced after 6 years in service, and having a sensor and a switch replaced on two separate occasions all covered by the warranty, our Neptune provided exceptional service throughout the 15 years. My understanding was that Maytag was bought out and run very poorly in the early 2000s as our unit was produced prior to that time... when Maytag was Maytag.

Had it for over ten years, had no problems. We dont use the oven too often but it is simple to operate and has served us well. Easy to clean, stainless steel like looks on the front goes well with our other appliances. Reasonably priced too.

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. So now I am trying to figure out what I can do but afraid I am going to replace it. Would Not recommend this product. Bravos XL MCT MVWB835DW1.

Maytag HE Top Loader Washing Machine: I have regretted buying this piece of garbage since my first wash. This washing machine is complete waste of money and a piece of garbage. The Auto Sensing doesnt work and doesnt cover the clothes with enough water. When the deep water wash is chosen the clothes just float around but the agitator doesnt get them clean. Dont waste your money hoping it will work, because it wont. Maytag used to signify quality that is no longer the case. I am going to also give a bad review to the place I purchased this piece of garbage because all stores need to discontinue selling this junk.

After one year of service from our Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher with Toughscrub the circuit board went out. I have been seeing and hearing other people complaining about this problem. We purchased this device based in large part on Maytags reputation for reliability. I am not happy with this machine. I will complain to the company and write another review based on the results. I suggest Maytag goes back to the old knobs until they can assemble and protect the circuit board, which I believe was damaged by heat and moisture.

Hello, I bought the above top load Maytag washer last summer and shortly after purchase the spin cycle was accompanied by a load grinding noise. This became progressively worse per use and I contacted Maytag Canada. The experience calling is a challenge with often busy, and at times long waits. When I did get through on the line they were very good customer-service-wise and arranged for a local accredited company to attend my home and assess the problem. Service visit number one resulted in the lack of parts to fix, so I waited two weeks for the next visit with appropriate parts. Washer began to grind again, I called Maytag, another appointment was set, service call #2 again resulted in the SAME parts being replaced as service #1, and upon departure the washer immediately resumed grinding. Call #3 to Maytag and a 4th visit was scheduled to my home. This time with a different service provider, parts changed washer not fixed. Maytag called and this time I asked for replacement. Three weeks later I received a new washer. The version was updated so the drain hose no longer reached my drain pipe. Once sorted out, my first wash today with the new unit and GGGRRRIIINNDDDING.. I would not recommend this product. Will be calling Maytag again Monday.

We have owned a number of dishwashers, some cost a great deal and some were inexpensive. Our current dishwasher is a Maytag and it has proven itself to be the best dishwasher we have ever owned, not only is it quiet, it cost less to operate and cleans all dishes and utensils excellently.

I purchased this Maytag Bravos Xl Top Loading Washing Machine approximately 2 1/2 years ago. It broke down shortly after the 1 year warranty was up and cost me $300.00 to fix. A bearing had broke and needed a service call to repair it. Well, I paid about $800.00 to begin with, so decided to fix it. Today it started draining water from bottom of it. I call Maytag and after a 20 minute wait on the phone because they were having higher than normal call volumes! They cannot help me, other than to charge me for yet another service call and perhaps a repair. Whirlpool/Maytag makes a high priced money pit of a washing machine! Dont waste your money!

Washer leaves spots on clothes and massive knots in clothes. The serviceman has been here twice since we bought it and was told to use extra wash option and heavy load wash with fabric softener option as well, and to only use about one tablespoon of detergent. So much for the green option! Results, still washing clothes 2 or 3 times per load then into the dryer. Tried an experiment - washed a pair of my daughters white capris and then washed them at a friends house while water was saved in a separate tub. Holy crap, the dirt in the water. Do not buy this machine. Not even if it is offered to you for free.

Our brand new Maytag dishwasher model number MDB87749SBM2 was professionally installed on 7/31/2013. In fall of 2015 my control panel started acting up. I was unable to select certain wash cycles. The problem would come and go. By January 2016 my lock button would freeze and I was unable to unlock or select any wash cycles. By February 2016 my control panel went out completely. It wont turn on, not a single light. It is fried.When Googling the issue I found that we are 1 of MANY with faulty control panels not only on our particular model but on many Maytag dishwashers. They all seem to have the same problem, right around to 2-3 year old mark. One would think dishwashers would last, like before. A dishwasher shouldnt need to be replaced or need a major repair so soon. The one our new dishwasher replaced was 12 years old and was working just fine. We just wanted to upgrade to stainless steel. Wow what an upgrade haha! Maytag should be recalling these control panels. Their name is no longer a trusted name in our home.

Product: Maytag MFI2665XEM Ice2O 25.5. Bought this refrigerator on Feb. 2013 at Home Depot. Maytag cannot repair the heat exchanger as it is a discontinued model. Our only option: Purchase another comparable current model refrigerator with a full price of $2,199.00. It will be sold to us for a discount price of $1,308.00 with free delivery. NJ tax and installation not included. This is a two year old refrigerator with orig over $2000. We had requested for a repair since August 2015. We had spoiled food expenses and rented a temporary refrigerator. Numerous attempts to repair and order the parts to no avail. The excuse is either they ordered the wrong part and eventually was told its been discontinued. Our warranty was automatically canceled. We have spent numerous hours with the Maytag customer service and was given a promise to find the part overseas as well to get the appliance fixed. Finally, this morning of November 2, 2015, we were given the final Im sorry and this is all we can offer you, to buy another refrigerator from us. It appears that this is a defective model but we have not received any recall letters or warning about it. This needs to be addressed as this is an unacceptable practice and deceiving to the consumers, and certainly unfair for people like us who work very hard to pay for this appliances. We cannot afford another $1500 refrigerator. We are now stuck with this worthless, stainless steel junk in our kitchen.

I bought this washer less than 4 years ago and its already broken (leaking from the basket). Maytag refuses to honor their warranty and is charging $400 to send someone out to fix it even though it specifically says in the warranty that the basket is covered. When I mentioned this to the rep, I was told that does not apply to all washers. I expected better service from Maytag and thought it was a reputable company. I will now have to purchase another washer, rather than spend $400 to fix this one. It definitely will not be a Maytag!

Bought mdb7609aww2 dishwasher in 2010. Now I cant use it as it will not start even though the panel lights of my selected wash cycle work. I looked up on internet how to reset it, but I only get a half cycle. Called customer service and for $269, I can get it fixed and get a one-year warranty. Wow, what a deal. Might as well get a new dishwasher. Joining the lawsuit. It is about time corporations take responsibility for defective merchandise, not make money to correct their mistakes by charging customers for overpriced parts and stupid worthless warranties. A pox on them.

Im currently standing in front of my washing machine waiting for the 13-minute drain and spin cycle to finish because once again my load didnt drain and finish right. Except it has already been 40 minutes and it claims there is still 9 more left as it continues to sit there doing nothing while it hasnt even started spinning yet. It Sat on 13 minutes while sensing for over 5 minutes, then 12 for 10 minutes while doing nothing, then it changed to 11 minutes and made some weird noises but didnt actually do anything for 15 minutes, and now the timer randomly changed from 11 to 9 without any noises or movement happening and now continues to sit here.I stupidly thought I could spin my clothes real quick to throw them in the dryer before bed and now I stand here extremely tired and very irritated. I also have no doubt some of the clothes will have holes in them when theyre done because they always do, my family looks like were homeless and ratty half the time we get dressed now. Also it never deep cleans thoroughly even on the toughest settings, I swear our socks can be washed 3 times in a row after being soaked all day and still come out crusty or a lot of times the armpits of shirts will still smell or be ultra stained with deodorant marks still.This technology is almost too advanced and everything is decided by sensor, regardless of the registered functions on the buttons it will still do what it wants as the sensors see fit and run when they decide everything is perfect and ready, including taking 10 minutes just to unlock the lid when you pause a load cuase a small child may drown in the foot of water or a person may have their life completely altered by getting a little bit wet if the machine isnt completely drained and in pristine condition before you open the door. This machine is terrible. This company is terrible. And worst of all they drain your wallet for these horrible contraptions. I wish I could rate this 0 stars.

I purchased a Maytag Front-Loading Washing machine. It was purchased on 11/30/15. Approximately this January, 2017 the spin cycle stopped getting all the water out of the laundry. Towels came out wet, shirts came out wet and I tried washing a small bathroom rug that came out of the washer dripping with water. My husband called Maytag to tell them about this issue. They told him I didnt know how to load the washer machine. Wow, I have only been using washing machines for 45 years and now I dont know how to load a machine. Then they said they will send him a video to watch on how to load a washing machine. I watched it. I wasnt doing anything incorrectly. (Maybe someone should send them a video on how to build a proper washing machine.) I previously had a Maytag Neptune machine that lasted twenty years until there was a class action suit against the machine. The clothes came out fine from that machine. I just purchased an Electrolux front loader that works beautifully. Now I have a Maytag machine that is nothing but a piece of junk in my opinion. It cost $824.21. I purchased a washer/dryer, Maytag from Home Depot Nashville. It was delivered and set up. 02/24/17 the date of purchase, delivered 03/07/17. I have tried in every way to get the washer to wash properly, but to no avail. The water level doesnt cover the clothes, it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the wash to begin its cycle. It doesnt spin the clothes dry enough to put into the dryer. The washer makes all kinds of sounds thats drives you nuts while setting up to not wash your clothes clean. I have contacted Maytag on several occasion about this problem, they sent out someone to service the washer. Now, why would a brand new washer need servicing. Somethings wrong. It isnt functioning up to standards and they should give me another washer.Now on 05/18/17 the washer was serviced, I have called them again to do something about this piece of **. I was told that the only thing they could do is come service it again. Why, must this brand new washer be serviced every week. It doesnt make sense... I dont want this machine, I want my money back so I can purchase a machine that will wash my clothes properly. I purchased a secondhand washer and dryer from a used appliance store, it lasted my family 10 complete year. The only reason I dont have it now is because I wanted to upgrade, since I have never had a brand new set. What a disappointment. Everything that looks good from Maytag isnt good. I dont understand why they wont stand behind their product.Somethings got to be done about this. Maytag will not take my money 1,200 and force me to keep this malfunctioning piece of nothing. Im going to Youtube this product so the consumer can see how this product doesnt work properly, therefore they wont waste their hard earned money. I bought a Maytag refrigerator, model MBF 2256 KEQ2, two and a half years ago. Now the cooling coils are freezing up. I checked heater and thermostat for continuity and they were okay so the only thing left was the timer control circuit. On the earlier models, the timer control circuit is controlled by a Timer Motor or an Adaptive Defrost Timer which is separate from the main Electronic Control Board and much less expensive. On later models (including mine), the timer control circuit is incorporated into the main Electronic Control Board so if your automatic defrost quits working, more than likely you will have to replace the main board. I did not purchase an extended warranty because I believe they are useless from past experience. I bought the part on Amazon.com, received it in four days and replaced it myself for a cost of $78. This part costs $110 to $118 at Sears or a Maytag dealer.

I have always bought Maytag products, but I will never buy another one again. This washer is the worse. It never has gotten the clothes clean and it is so loud. It has gotten worse. I called someone out to look at it and now am being told that the bearing is going out. We havent had the washer for two years. The cost to repair is going to cost us $574.00. That is crazy. We are going to let it go out and buy another washer, but NOT a Maytag. I will do my research before buying a new washer.

Brand new washing machine model MHW8200FW purchased at Karls, a Ferguson subsidiary, in Madison, NJ end of June, 2017. I wanted to buy a top of the line machine and this is what the sales person recommended to me. Problems started soon after purchase. Initially I contacted Maytag because the machine wouldnt spin dry a cotton bath mat weighing 4.5lbs soaking wet. I was told I should put more items in the machine to help balance it. Well there WERE more items and the machine wouldnt spin dry them either. I tried every trouble shooting Maytag suggested. Having exhausted my nerves, I called for service. The technician came and said these machines are extremely sensitive and that sometimes they wont even run an empty cycle. He said this is a common complaint with these units. One of his suggestions was to take bath mats, duvets, comforters... articles like that to a laundromat.I did less than 10 wash cycles after his visit when the washer started having more issues and finally broke down completely. The technician who came this time wrote a repair order indicating a mechanical (Stator) AND electrical (Control Panel) breakdown ($500+ for the parts alone if the unit wasnt under warranty). He also stated that he had never seen such problems in a brand new machine.I contacted Maytag for an exchange. Maytag customer service wrote to me that the breakdowns are ... normal, with all the units we sell some may have a defect in the first couple of months... and refused to exchange my defective unit. I can accept that there may be a defect that will warrant a repair, but in this case there are multiple defects in separate systems - mechanical and electrical - within the first month of service. This shouldnt warrant any further discussion, only a quick replacement and an apology.

Maytag HE Top Load Washer - We bought our whole house lot of Maytag appliances 6 months prior to when we would need them, in Nov of 2015. There was a great Canadian Black Friday sale event special, so we purchased the whole lot at Home Depot thinking we had got a great deal, however back then there were very little reviews on the washers, as they were fairly new. This is the absolute worst washer, I have to pause the washer after the water level that the sensor allows finishes and add at least a bucket more of water to cover the clothes and clean them properly and rinse them twice to make sure the residue from the soap gets washed off (I use HE pods, so not using too much soap). Certainly not what you would expect when you buy a high-end appliance. Im going to replace it, but I cannot even try to recoup any money back, as I couldnt/ wouldnt be able to sell it to anyone knowing that it is just garbage!! You would think that a high-end appliance company like Maytag would admit that this appliance is a mistake and offer the consumers that purchased this junk a credit towards a washer that will do what is expected!! Think about it Maytag... you have lost a lot of future business by ignoring the fact that this machine is not what you advertise as a company that stands behind their name. I am sure to tell everyone that I know about the disappointment in this product. I have a friend that has a LG HE washer and it works great... so no excuses about water consumption regulations... its just not designed properly!!

I will never recommend these products to anyone! My dryer has caught on fire 4 times! Cleaned lint every time we use it! It gets caught in bottom of dryer! Just lucky enough it has not caught our house on fire it is contained in the bottom of dyer itself! Washer gets UL code all the time! Will not rinse! Have to open top and try to balance clothes out! Cant even wash a comforter alone and the same thing happens! They are junk!!! Would not recommend at all to anyone!

We bought the highly rated Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in March of 2010. In less than a year, the dryer broke down and the drum drive belt had to be replaced under warranty. Last month the washer drum stopped turning. A & E Factory Service quoted $466.87 to replace the bearing that had failed. We have hated this washer since the day we got it. So, it wasnt hard to buy a Samsung front loader and have the miserable Maytag hauled away to wherever badly designed machines go. Trying to wash clothes using high speed spinning instead of water causes excessive wear on the clothes and the machine as well as tying the clothes in knots. It is one of the worst mechanical designs I have ever seen.

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer in late 2007. We had a one-year warranty on the set. At just over 2 years, we started having problems with the washer. It started making a loud noise when spinning and started beeping all the time during the cycles. We contacted Maytag and they said the only thing they could do for us was to sell us an extended/repair warranty for $320.00. If the cost of fixing the machine was too much, they had the option to replace it with another machine equal to the value of the machine in todays market, or cash, or a gift card equal to that.We were angry about the cost of the warranty and we were unemployed at the time and couldnt afford that so we just had to let it go. The machine progressively got worse where only two of the cycles would work, but not without beeping several times where you had to fix the load, and the sound got so loud it sounded like you had a jet plane just overhead. Just the other day it completely quit working. We have been in contact with Maytag several times but their only answer is their repair warranty. Weve talked to numerous appliance repairman, who all knew exactly what was wrong because they have seen it so many times, and they told us that we have several things going wrong with the machine we would probably need a new drum, a new drain pump and a new control board.We were told that it would cost more to just buy the parts than it would be to buy a new machine. In the course of our phone calls to Maytag, they have continually told us that they are sorry but there is nothing they can do, in fact they only have record of two of our calls (how convenient!). Since experiencing the issues with the machine, we have researched it online and found that scores of consumers are dealing with the exact same problems we are having which shows that there are defects in the manufacturing of these machines. Maytag should be forced to fix these problems. They are well aware of them and they should have to back up their products.There should be a class action lawsuit out against them. We were told by an appliance repairman that Whirlpool (who bought out Maytag) has a washer called Cabrio that is the exact same model as the Bravo and that they do have a class action lawsuit out against this model. Consumers that purchased the Bravo should be included in that lawsuit. I am stuck with a broken down washer, mildewing clothes and dont know where to turn outside of paying out the money for the extended warranty with no guarantee of what we would get out of it, purchasing a used set with no guarantee, or putting out the expense for a new set.This set was an expense set and we went with Maytag because they used to have a good reputation, but we feel like we have been totally cheated. If the appliance companies were forced to offer a longer warranty on their products, they would have to manufacture them at a higher standard. For the cost of these new machines this is exactly what we as consumers should expect. Please help us to know which direction to go. Even with purchasing a new machine we are apprehensive!

I would like to say that I am highly dissatisfied with paying $1200 for a refrigerator that only can produce ice once every 12 hours and 90% of the time the over fill lever gets stuck so it will not make more. I would recommend anyone to not buy anything Maytag ever.

When my house burned in 1995 I purchased all Maytag appliances when we rebuilt because I had good performance from them up to then. My washer and dryer even made it through the fire and are still going now 14 years after the fire. They are 34 years old. The other appliances I purchased were a chest freezer, dishwasher, stove, and, a refrigerator totaling around $2,000, a pretty sum in 95. I have nothing but good to say about the freezer and the dishwasher, however, the refrigerator and stove stick me in the side every time I look at them. I purchased a smaller refrigerator than I had planned because I was PROMISED that the refrigerator was designed to hold the milk in the door. The first thing that happened when I opened my brand new refrigerator was the shelf holder broke and the milk fell to the floor making an awful mess. They ordered the shelf holder assuring me it was a fluke and sent me on my unhappy way. After I got the part I installed it and crack-smash-pow-swoosh! It happened again! I called the store I purchased it from and they said they ordered extras so to come in and get them, that I had probably installed it wrong. Went like this and I finally told him like I told him at first I do no want this refrigerator! You said and the pamphlet says it is capable of holding a gallon of milk in the door. It does not. It cant even hold catsup bottles without breaking. Thats when he told me that yes, they were having an issue with this refrigerators door shelves. He then gave me the rest of the shelf ends he had and said after that they were gone, they had discontinued them. Also said I was past the days to trade my refrigerator. I told him that was because he kept stalling me, ordering parts. LEMONS AND LIES. Now the refrigerator sits in my laundry room, freezes food in either section on its own whim, and the shelves are held on with DUCT TAPE. I have multiple correspondence with the company but gave up as I was seriously hurt in a vehicle accident and had to put my energies to surgeries and healing. And dont get me started about the stove. I will not be buying Maytag anymore.

Yesterday, the main compartment of the refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer still is working. This unit is 2.5 years old! I have never bought an extended warranty before, but on day one, this unit hardly ever shut off. It didnt seem like the electric bill was any higher but never felt good about the unit. Plus, I hated the ice cubes all over the floor when I pulled out the lower drawer. The monitoring device is in the roof of the fridge and takes up a lot of square footage. Nope, will never buy another Maytag. If their products cant last more the at least eight years, then it is such a waste of our money. Do better! Im writing Consumer Report and the President of the company. Who replaces all the food loss?

The Maytag Neptune TL washing machine has always been extremely loud! It smells awful and now our clothes too! I have found mold in the washer and cannot get it all out even with bleach. My children are extremely allergic to mold and they have had problems because of this. I am very disappointed in this washer and find it sad that no kind of action has taken place to help people who have bought them.

Faulty Maytag Bravos electronic dryer model MEDB400VQ0 - I purchased a new Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in Feb 2011. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed the dryer not drying my clothes. They were hot, but not dry, leaving them hot and steamy. There was also wet lint that kept accumulating inside of the dryer. I took the back off of the dryer to see if there was an obvious problem and I found the blower belt and large bolt that holds one end of the belt to be off and laying on the bottom of the dryer. I have also looked online and did a search on this make and model and the issue I was having, it brought numerous people having the same problem on multiple internet forum sites. Apparently, there is also a service bulletin on this exact issue, but according to the Maytag customer service department, no recall. Therefore, I am out of luck as far as getting any kind of repair (unless I pay for it) because I am out of warranty by 3 weeks. I purchased the Maytag brand thinking this was going to be the best and will last me a very long time. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It only lasted me one year without breaking down and the customer service department is horrible. You can tell they definitely dont stand by their name, the Maytag name is a thing of the past. I will never recommend this brand to anyone else for purchase and I regret having swayed my mother to purchase the very same set I did. This has been an awful experience and I am wishing I had chosen a different brand. Maytag leaves me angry and very much dissatisfied.

My Maytag range from the 1990’s is the easiest to clean top of the range I have ever had. Controlling the temperature of cooking is very easy. The oven is not as responsive As it takes about 10 minutes to preheat. Once heated it maintains an even temperature.

Bought this washer and dryer 3 1/2 years ago mainly because of Maytag name and reputation. They were very expensive to purchase. The washer is a piece of junk 3 1/2 years old used for my wife and I and leaks oil all over the floor. Called repair man to come and look at it, wasnt here 5 minutes said transmission is shot. Cost over $400 to have it repaired. We are junking it and that will be the last Maytag product I ever own.

I recently purchased a new Maytag Commercial top loading Bravos from Lowes. It looked like a sturdy model and has a 10-year parts warranty and to cover this washer even more... I purchased the additional warranty from the factory. The washer is delivered, set up... First batch of laundry the washer is making all kinds of noise, the clothes are wet..water didnt dissolve soap packet... Repairman comes out..washer out of balance, cold water not at full pressure... Computer failure noted. Now still making a lot of noise, my clothes are twisted and intertwined and still dirty. My dryer isnt even taking the wrinkles out and even after I iron on hi steam the clothes are still wrinkled beyond belief... Im so dissatisfied with the washer... I want to return it... I cant believe Maytag would manufacture a washer that is ruining my clothes...

I have had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. It recently started leaking water on the floor and all over the bottom of the freezer. Repairman said it is a flaw with the defrost drain design. He thinks Maytag MIGHT have changed it since I purchased mine, but I dont know. Originally they used this small rubber valve;repairman said they get clogged very easily (even though I vacuum around it regularly and dont have any pets). He replaced that part with something sturdy that looks like a p trap. I looked online and there are loads of complaints about this exact issue with the defrost drain clogging. It cost $250 to have it repaired. I called Maytag to ask to be reimbursed and of course they will not do anything since it is out of warranty. Its a shame Maytag wont stand behind their products. Since there are so many of us with this issue, cant something be done?

Thank all of you for saving me. I was about to buy a Maytag with bottom freezer from Home Depot. No wonder they are marked down an additional 20% off their sale price.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator model # MSF25D2EAS on 10-22-2012 at the Home Depot in Tracy, CA. On 2-2-2014 (15 months) we noticed a puddle on the kitchen floor. Upon inspection, we noticed that the refrigerator was not working. Went over to Home Depot and were given the name and number of the authorized Maytag repair dealer (A and E). The technician arrived on 2-5-2014 and replaced the compressor on-off /overload relay and charged $243.82. On 2-16-2014 (11 days later), the same thing happened again. The technician came on 2-19-2014. This time, it was the compressor at a cost of $800.00 plus the $75.00 service call. One can purchase the compressor online for $300.00 and I am sure that A and E buys it for a lot less. We thought about it and decided not to get it fixed because we did not know what else would go wrong and how long would the second compressor last. We talked to the Appliance Departments assistant manager and were told that Home Depot does not give any kind of consideration and she had worked there for 11 years and had not heard of any problems. She was not telling the truth or she was not aware of the numerous negative customer reviews online. She also informed me that I should have bought a warranty. We have bought quite a few refrigerators in 50 years and they lasted for many years. Home Depot sells inferior products. Maytag must sell these inferior products at discounted prices and of course, some stores are looking for larger profits. I do not trust Home Depot any longer and will not purchase appliances there anymore. It was a very expensive lesson - the price of the refrigerator, loss of food (twice) and the stress it caused. We bought a new refrigerator at Sears and it was not a MAYTAG.

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG. OWN UP!!! My advertisement begins today!!!

We bought the Bravo washer and dryer in 10/2009. Since then the dryer has never worked well. Weve had at least 8 service calls on same and the sensor doesnt work, i.e. says the clothes are dry when they arent and we always have to run them through at least two-timed cycles to make them completely dry. The washer is another nightmare. At least 8 service calls as well, and after one where the motor was replaced, it popped off and flooded my entire house. They laundry room is located on the second floor. I had to replace floors, walls, ceiling, light fixtures, etc. Insurance covered it but it never shouldve happened. Now the washer doesnt drain properly and the error code LD displays every load and we must manually drain it by either setting an extra drain cycle or take the entire machine apart and vacuum out the water. Each load takes twice the amount of time it should, if not more. But I guess its okay because the dryer takes just as long to dry a load of clothes. Something has to be done. Maytag is refusing to stand behind their products and it seems as though many of the complaints are for the same issues. Is there a lemon law for household appliances?

In 2011 I bought a brand new Maytag (HA!) washer & dryer thinking it was going to be as good as my old Maytag - which is STILL working since 1980 in a 4 person household! Boy what a HUGE mistake that was! In 2 yrs the bearings went out and something else - big! and would have cost more to fix than the NEW Speedqueen I got (which does a HELLUVA better job and by far all around is better than Maytag CRAP!) AND has a 3 yr warranty and not just 1 like JUNK Maytag! Maytag name went down the drain with the dirty laundry water! FOREVER! Seems the more I look around the more complaints I see! Whoever owns this brand now should be crawling under a rock somewhere and be ASHAMED of the POOR quality products youre putting out there!

This is a horrible product. Do not buy one. In fact, do not buy any appliance made by Maytag. I purchased a Maytag Jetclean Plus Series MDB8959AWS brand new on 2/22/12 and had it installed. The machine stopped working not even three years later. The control panel does not light up at all. There are pages and pages of complaints on the Internet about this dishwasher and Maytag. There is a class action lawsuit against Maytag in California for faulty control panels. Maytag needs to be taken to court to be held financially accountable for making false claims and selling defective products. I will never, ever again buy any product made by Maytag.

Model #MFI2670XEM0, Maytag fridge top French doors, bottom freezer. Purchased fridge in May 2011 from Lowes, with a matching microwave. A couple months ago, I noticed puddle of water on wood floor in front of fridge, so I opened freezer to find ice on bottom with a sheet of fresh water on top. Call to Maytag was useless, also tried to sell us warranty. Guess that $300+ warranty would cover one year, so after the warranty runs out, would we have to buy another when it plugs again. Our kitchen floor is ruined, and the warping is coming close to our dining room. Googled problem online to see if there was an easy fix since it was out of warranty. I tried to defrost as described online, only to have it leaking again a couple weeks later. Will never buy a Maytag again. Guess that repairman in commercial is never busy because Maytag wont stand behind their products.

Whirlpool owns Maytag and it appears that selling poorly made products is now their focus. When I purchased this Maytag 30 Gemini double oven range, I thought I was buying a superior product. Now, I am on my 3rd repair. When would it fail, on Christmas Eve morning when I am trying to prepare dinner for 20 people who are coming for dinner party. I paid too much for this piece of junk. From now on, I am buying from the scratch and dent sale because there are no quality appliances manufactured today. Buy cheap and it wont irritate you so much because no one especially Whirlpool owned companies focus on quality.

I bought this MMV4205BAB microwave thinking Maytag was a good brand and I wanted an over the range type. Problems began when it would stop in the middle of a cooking cycle. I called the repairman as it was under warranty. It was decided by the repairman that the weight of thing was too great for its thin frame, not letting the door close correctly. I got a new one and it, from day one, would make a shorting sound every time anything was cooked, on the stove top, under it, while it was on. It finally just shorted out. I have a Maytag washer and dryer that are also junk. So, needless to say, Maytag, 3 strikes and youre out. I will never have another Maytag product and I let others know what a great product it is.

The new technology on the washers is useless and saves no energy or water. People figure out how to get more water in the tub and use that setting. There is not small or medium water fill anymore.

I bought the dishwasher (Model MDB7749AWM) 15 months ago and paid $490.00. I had to put a new console in it ($245.00) on 07/16/2012. So that’s $735.00. Two days ago, the console went out again! I’m not putting $245 more in it! I called Maytag’s office. They more or less told me that was my problem! I am throwing that piece of junk away! And I’m buying a different brand. Maytag does not stand behind their product. Last Maytag I will buy! Warning! Do not buy Maytag!

We just received a Maytag delivered by Home Depot. THe box the diswasher came in was soaking wet. I called within 30 mins of delivery to report this. Home Depot called and Maytag refuses to replace the diswasher stating that it comes wrapped. No it does not, the diswasher and insulation were soaking wet. Maytags response is just let it air out. So Im supposed to air out a 470.00 brand new dishwasher. Home Depot is also getting its one star review for refusing to replace it and letting the third party contractor get away with delivering a damaged unit.

Ive owned my Maytag Neptune front loader since 2003. Since then, the whites have either turned gray or yellow. Ive tried minimizing the use of Tide HE, maximizing its use, and I still get the same results. Can anyone please assist me with this major problem? Ive owned Maytag appliances since the mid 60s, and I know the quality isnt there anymore.

Works great, quiet, cleans better than the others in my opinion, have had many others and they never impressed me like this brand does! I think this one gives you your money's worth and you don't have to look no further for a dishwasher again, and is top quality and hardly breaks down as well.

Really havent had any problems. The Maytag repairman really is lonely. Great quality wash machines and dryers for that matter. I havent had to do anything. Spins well... Very quiet, no complaints. Dryer works well too. Many cycles area to put fabric softener and bleach. It has a extra extraction cycle and many other features.

I have had 2 Geminis. The first one was fine, this second one is a mess. I have had at least half a dozen parts replaced. I have insurance to have this oven repaired but have paid to have the window seal replaced on at least 3 occasions. The top of the oven is so hot that when I have used the burners to cook on top I have received 2nd degree burns. I have received burns on several occasions. I asked dealer if I could trade this in but said I would have to sell it on my own. I would not subject this oven to another person as I feel it is very dangerous.

Control Panel MDB8949SBB - I purchased my dishwasher in August of 2013. The control panel has stopped working and Maytag refuses to discuss the issue with us. Regardless of how many complaints they receive they are in denial about their product. They now offer a Repair +1 program which costs $260 for a repair and an additional 1 year warranty. If I do that I will get 1 year out of it before I run into the same problems. Any ideas?

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer in 2009. I have had nothing but problems. Since, it seems that this washer was never tested nor perfected but just put on the market to sell to us, the consumers, the company does not care that this washer breaks down constantly. First the pump had to be replaced, then the tub was replaced. These were nothing compared to coins falling through to get caught in the pump and cause the washer not to drain. When I bought my washer, I also purchased an extended warranty not knowing that if the washer were to breakdown to many times, Maytag would refuse to repair under the service plan that I purchased because now they are telling me that by letting the coins fall through is abuse of the washer. Really so what they are saying is accidents will not be covered, I thought thats why we purchase insurance.Thank You, Maytag. I will never buy your product again.

We have been totally pleased with our Maytag Washer and Dryer BRAVOS XL units from day one. Their advertising is Spot On correct. Follow the directions for periodic cleaning and all is well. The only issue weve had is low water on some wash cycles. But these are Eco and Environmentally friendly units. So we learn how to use the machines for best performance. We would definitely purchase these again.

What junk. Bought this gx2shbxvy05 french door fridge. In less than 16 months the freezer is fine the fridge section gets up to 80f. Throw all the food away. Found the freezer coil covered in ice. Took the back panel off and noticed ice around the copper tubes by the compressor going up into the body. Not good. Put a small brick heater in and slowly melted the ice into the drip tray. Warning, it filled up 4 cups of water and of course spilled and killed the wood floor. After the clean up. Plugged the unit in and it seemed to work for about 3 months. Now its dead again. Looked into parts around 300 to 400 bucks plus labor to replace the system needed parts. P.S. the fridge, this junk replaced is downstairs working after 25 years not one issue other than the color. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG product please. TRAIL APPLIANCE should never have sold this product and should have stepped up to help out. Wont buy from them again.

6 week old High Efficiency Washer leaves lint and soap lines. Ive tried deep water wash plus the 2 rinse settings and I still have to wash the load twice to get rid of the lint lines and soap lines. Ive also tried every combination of settings to no avail and I follow the guide to a tee because this machine actually weighs the clothes to determine the water level. Maytag customer service was polite but useless. Im assuming its the poor design but customer service says I will be charge for the warranty service call if no problem is found. Maytag, another fine company down the drain. PS, parts are made in China.

I bought a Maytag Dryer from Lowes in December of 2013. I paid 600.00 for this dryer which I thought was going to last for quite awhile. It stopped working in January of 2016. (2 years old). I had a repairman come out and he said the motor had burned out and he wanted 300.00 to fix it. I called Lowes and asked if I should expect the motor to burn out in 2 years; they said of course not - call Maytag. That proved to be a complete waste of time. They would do nothing. They simply said that there was not a recall on that machine and they were not technicians. However they would be glad to send someone for 125.00 dollars to look at it, then the parts and labor would be more. I have never had a dryer burn out in 2 years - not even when I was raising children and using a dryer daily. This Maytag clothes dryer isnt even used every week and when it is used, there are a few small loads. I am appalled and disappointed in Maytag and the poor quality of this appliance as well as their horrible customer service.

Re: refrigerator model # MBF2258XEB1. The above-referenced refrigerator was purchased in 2011 from Home Depot. We paid over $1,000.00 thinking we were buying a good product. Right now the bottom freezer is working but the refrigerator is not cooling. An appliance repairman cleaned out the defroster part, but that did not resolve the problem. He said it was a compressor/valve gas line problem. I cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars to have this repaired. Even though the warranty has expired, I believe that Maytag should pay the cost of the repair. This is VERY inconvenient and frustrating.

We purchased a Model MDB8949SAWO Maytag dishwasher in September 2012. The control panel failed in November 2015. We wrote a letter to Maytag (Whirlpool) expressing our disappointment and received a call from Maytag customer service. The Customer Service representative informed us because we contacted our local repair facility directly, no reimbursements would be provided. During a subsequent follow-up call, I was informed by the Customer Service representative that Maytag manufactures quality products and that no premature failures were occurring with Maytag dishwashers. The Customer Service Representative stated that we should have purchased an extended warranty which lends some support to the fact that Maytag dishwashers are essentially junk. Never again will we purchase any Whirlpool products.

Angie from WFCC-PREFERRED APPLIANCE REPAIR had the wiring harness delivered to her personal address and then came out and installed it that same afternoon past 5pm to ensure I had a working stove. She explained what had happened with the parts delivery mixups and also delivered a $100 gift card. Very happy to have my range working and all has turned out well. I am a long time Maytag customer and its great to have all my appliances back.

I was told to at first to just leave the door open, then when that did not work I was told that I should bleach my machine at least once a week which I did. That did not work either. Then I was told to buy the product REFRESH and that would take care of the smell. That did not work either. So I am at my wits end with the stench of my clothes.

Ive used Maytag Dishwashers since the 1980s, from Alabama to California. And I wouldnt change a thing. In fact my entire family (well the folks that can afford it) uses maytag dishwashers. Extremely satisfied we are.

We purchased our washer Model # MHWE450WW01 and Serial # CS10502122 on March 30, 2011 along with a front loaded dryer and refrigerator on March 30, 2011 from a local store Appliance Outlet in Duncansville, PA. As with most new purchases we were excited as all three of these appliances being replaced were 20 years old. All were installed and worked great. My wife and I would often comment that in the spin cycle the washer sounded like a jet engine readying for take off. At some time in early 2014 we had Appliance Outlet come out and inspect the washer and told us that the washer was not to be that noisy and they would authorize replacement parts under warranty. In calling Maytag we were treated well and the parts came. Rear tub W10772619, Basket W10283352, Front tub W102823352.One of the parts was in fact cracked when it came in and had to be reordered. It was and several weeks later it arrived and Appliance Outlet fixed the washer. It ran so quiet we could not believe it was the same machine. In late spring of this year the noise was back. Appliance Outlet confirmed that indeed the same issue was happening and we would need to replace the parts again. In early June 2105 I called customer service and explained the situation and the rep took the notes and stated that we could indeed get these parts replaced and we as homeowners would pay for the labor. As YOU would I tried to get the labor paid for and was given the company line policy and told that there was NO way Maytag paid for the labor and the parts would be shipped. I accepted these terms.Yesterday my wife called to find out the status of the parts shipment and was taken for all intent and purpose right back thru the initial call routine. NO record of my call in early June existed and the best she got was that if Appliance Outlet would call and order the parts that they would be reimbursed. Appliance Outlet said that is NOT normal warranty procedure. Normal warranty goes from Maytag to the appliance Owner. They only confirm the issues/problems and do the labor. I am now stuck. I am also CEO of a company and while it pales in size the buck stops at my desk.

The stove functions are excellent and the temperature of the burners and oven causes the food to cook even. However after about 6 months the heat from the burners causes the coating on the stovetop to burn like its baking and it cant be cleaned. Now the coating around the burners is horrible and burnt.

The unit has an ice maker. On a regular basis, water would accumulate at the bottom of the freezer pan. When the bottom pan got filled up, water would run out on to my hardwood floor. I related the problem to the ice maker. Researching the problem, I learned that the ice maker has an adjustment for timing the on cycle for filling the ice tray. After several adjustments nothing changed. I ordered a water control valve and installed it. The problem persisted. I installed a water pressure regulator but the problem persisted. I installed a water filter, the problem persisted. I turned off the entire ice maker and the problem persisted. The problem wasnt the ice maker. The real problem was the defrost cycle of the evaporator. The drain for the water was plugged with ice. I made modifications to the design so I could monitor the drain hole in the back of the freezer. Will I purchase another Maytag… probably not?

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Washer at the end of last year. Within 2 weeks, I knew it wasnt a good washer and asked my husband if we could return it. He said, No. I dont like using the fabric softener dispenser, so I used to use a Downy ball. This washer doesnt spin hard enough to open the ball. I tried 3 separate times. Each time, the ball came out with the fabric softener in it at the end of the cycle just like it was when I put it in. It also doesnt get the clothes clean. Im using chlorine bleach, detergent and OxiClean and our whites are gray. It doesnt get the simplest stain out and the soak feature is a joke. If you use the soak feature, the washer fills up, the lid locks, it soaks and then the water drains out. No spin or anything.Normally, on the old washers, you could just push the knob in to stop the agitation to soak something, but not now. The lid locks, which I cant stand, when the washer is working. I would like to see if it is agitating or to add more clothes if I want. Im not sure who designed this washer, but they should go back to the drawing board. Ive tried every cycle and none of them work well. It also takes an hour to wash a load of clothes. Im just so disappointed with Maytag on every level. This was my first Maytag purchase and it will be my last.

I contacted Maytag, and they claimed to know of NO issues with this fridge. I told them its all over the internet, many others with the same fridge and same problem. Anybody up for a class action?

There should be a recall. Just look at the number of people complaining about this same exact occurrence about the control panel not activating. Im on my second control panel in 24 months. Some people are on their fourth already. Give me a break. There needs to be a recall and a redesign of this thing, which turned out to be a piece of junk washer.

I purchased my Neptune Washer in 2005/2006. I had a mildew problem, and the store told me to clean it with bleach. It is now 6 years later, and the ball bearings are going out. I called two different repair companies, and were told by both they would save me the call out charge, because the ball bearings were going out, and it would cost between $ 600-$700 to fix, so I may as well buy a new one. The washer is only 6 years old. This is completely unacceptable! I then tried to find someone online to fix it, and I ran into the fact that the Neptune Washers had a recall. Why was I, not notified? I bought the washer and dryer set from a Maytag store. No one tried to reach me. I am now stuck with the problem of buying a new one, and really cannot afford one at this time. I went with Maytag due to the brand name, and I knew it would be reliable. Is the joke really on me? Can someone please call me, and point me in the right direction?

Maytag Bravos Model MVWB750wq1 - After only two years, the washing machine finally died. The machine was on a f51 code - hardly anything was in the washer. I also smelled a burning smell - well, that was the pump. The machine was not pumping water out. After the repairman came out, the contract company is saying they are not covering this because there was rust reported by the repairman. How can bearings inside a washing machine be rusted? This is a washing machine, isnt it? How are they building machines that deal with water and rust?! I will never buy another Maytag product - thats a promise. I spent over 2000.00 on this set. Never again.

I have had KitchenAid and Whirlpool my whole life - lots of them - NEVER EVER have I had so much trouble with a washer. This front loader is the worst possible machine. My former Whirlpool was a front loader too - Never a problem. I purchased this Maytag set simply to have a matched set because our Whirlpool dryer died. This washer has to be babysat. The washer holds water and it gets musty - never ever before have I had this problem. Maytag says it is designed this way and I have to continue to buy AFFRESH (which is also very expensive). I have to use this two to three times a week and the pkg says once every 6 months - DONT DONT BUY MAYTAG. LOUSY.

Neptune 4000 washer - Worst washer EVER! Two weeks after we bought it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. They replaced the bearing parts. Only cost us 450 in labor. One year later, again the bearing but this time we insisted on full coverage. 6 months later, here we are again! Most expensive washer in the history of washers and this is a KNOWN issue - yet Maytag gets away with it while consumers foot the bill! Ridiculous! Never again will I purchase their product and make dang sure everyone I know stays away too and everyone that hears my washer is in shock that it hasnt injured something or someone. Its only a matter of time!

I bought a fridge from Home Depot. It was on sale and not a Maytag. Somehow they delivered a Maytag. I am over-the-top happy with my fridge. It keep things cold. It is roomy, It has separate temp controls for the freezer and fridge. The bright LED lighting is wonderful. It is energy efficient. It is easy to move around when I need to clean under it. It was delivered right away.

I have had commercial front loading washers since they came out (first was a Whirlpool Duet); although I like the capacity they have for large quilts and sleeping bags, they just dont seem to clean as well as the agitate-in-tub style, and they can take a ridiculous amount of time for a cycle -- wheres the energy savings there that they advertise? Im going to go back to the agitate-in-tub of water style when a replacement is needed. A lot of hype and expense, and plenty of experience with these on my part, but Im going to grade them a C, at best, compared to the agitator style washing machines I use to own.

I was always told the Maytag was the best, to my surprise not so. We purchased a washer at Home Depot and it’s been a bad experience. Loud noise compilation in operation. Turns on then off so many times /not sure if that’s what’s its suppose to. Can’t get an answer. Disappointed for the least. Not what I expected out from this purchase.

I have had may BravosXL washing machine for 5 years and it is now sitting on the porch waiting to go to the landfill. It has not worked properly since day one, did not clean the clothes properly and even left dry spots where the fabric didnt get washed. Approximately 6 months ago it started making a loud noise while spinning. This week it literally exploded and there was water and oil everywhere, lifting the floor in the laundry room. I am shocked that Maytag would attach their name to such a poor product.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago through Home Depot and did not purchase the extended warranty. The start button has stopped working and is not lighting up. I was referred by Pacific Sales, the appliance sales company at Home Depot, directly to Maytag to schedule repairs which I am willing to pay for. After a nearly hour long call between hold times and conversations I was told the service would be scheduled for Thursday or Friday of this week. As we were scheduling the appointment, I was told the computer for scheduling had gone down and to call the next day to schedule. I called next day and spoke with a customer service rep who said there was no record of my call the day before. I gave her all of my information, then she transferred me to another service person who then had no record of my two prior conversations. After giving my info to the this 3rd customer service representative, I learned that a repair could not be scheduled for over a week. I asked to speak with someone about my complaints and was told there was no one I could speak with but that she would pass on the complaint. I asked for a return call or email to confirm that my complaint was received and she said that I would not get that. I then asked for a free service call because of their poor customer service. This was of course denied. The dishwasher has been fine for the short period of time I have owned it but I wont buy another Maytag because of their poor customer service and because the dishwasher has a problem in less than two years. I am just writing this as a warning for other potential Maytag customers.

I also purchased a Maytag refrigerator model #MBR1953YES3 at Home Depot less than 2 yrs. ago. A year had not passed and I noticed the freezer starting to freeze up. Water started to leak from the bottom freezer. My husband had to break chunks of ice that clogged the drain but still, it continues to freeze. We hired a certified technician to clean the drain but a few days later, a puddle of water appeared all over our kitchen. Now we have a towel to stop the water from coming under the refrigerator. I thought when I was buying a Maytag, I was buying the best. I now know that, it was the biggest mistake. I will think twice before ever considering buying a Maytag again.

I bought this dishwasher since my last one, Whirlpool, gave out at three years (garbage motor from Korea) thinking this would be a quality product made in USA. Well after about 6 months into usage and under warranty, the circuit board went out! The repairman assured my wife that it was rare to replace it on a Maytag. Now 9 months later, out of warranty, the circuit board goes out again! I know what it is, I can fix it, but will Maytag work on fixing to get a better circuit board? No! The US government is a puppet to all these companies that keep getting bigger and fatter! I say buy foreign products! Enough of these fat companies buy the competition out and giving the US public no option. Preston E. Tucker said it best: You let the big guys push the little guys out of the game and you will end up with garbage for products! Do yourselves a favor, buy Bosch, LG or Samsung. I know their products are not better but just maybe, someone in these corporate offices will see that to sell in the USA, you have to sell quality again!

Thinking it would be dependable and clean my clothes well, I spent $888 online for this washer. Normal use, HE detergent, only adults washing normal loads. After 4 mos., would not agitate, made loud clicking noise, filled and drained. Bought 3yr service plan, and company assigned still tried to charge a fee just to look at it. After 1 week of dirty clothes piling up, bought a Samsung combo, & had the Maytag hauled away. Money on the Maytag down the Toilet! Never again--Maytag, Amana, Whirlpool, etc. All made by same folks and pure trash!

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

My dishwashers warranty expired in March 2011 and it stopped running in April 2011. I have not had the use of my dishwasher since then. I was able to finally afford to have a technician take a look at it. I am told that it is the circuit board and it is going to cost as much as the price I bought the dishwasher for. I thought Maytag products were better than the other products so I paid a little more and got a Maytag only to find out that they are garbage. I might as well bought an unknown brand at a cheaper price for all your products were worth. I guess you cannot trust anyone these days, and I will never buy a Maytag product of any kind again. I think that you should fix this.

Having had a household for over 40 years we have had a few washers come and go. I hate to say it but this line of washers should go. Worst pile of junk parts I have seen. Bought it from Costco a few years ago based on past histories of Maytags. Was I ever so wrong. It has never worked well. I chalked it up to being Water Efficient but after reading over 8 pages of scornful reviews, I was mistaken. Water level is always too low to do anything so clothes are needing rewashed. Have reverted to using the Bulky setting to do general washing as that fills the tub about 1/4 of the way. Then the spin cycles stops due to unbalanced load and loud banging of the wash drum, EVERY LOAD!!! And now for the past month Code DL pops up saying it is taking too long to drain. I have checked all hoses for blockages, none seen. And with the glass top, you can SEE the washer NOT WORKING right. We have a door on the laundry room and even with it closed the volume is over 70 dB and can overpower most conversations in our family room 20 feet away. I have been told that Costco may take it back but why punish Costco members for a design failure of Maytag??? Has anyone thought about a Class Action Lawsuit? The Bravos Quiet Series 400 dryer match to this washer has so far been flawless. I may have to dig the 20 year old Whirlpool washer out of the storage shed to replace this Maytag. Sad. I want to state my true feelings but I will not use profanity here.

The washer worked great for the first 6 months, then it didnt dissolve the soap, it wouldnt complete the cycle, and there is a loose bolt like sound when you spin the drum. The load level is not an issue. We have had the serviceman out four times, he has called the tech support each time and they cannot resolve the issue. Maytag said sorry! Unless it does it constantly then they cant help. The control panel has been replaced and the drum has been replaced. So we keep paying the water and sewer bill to rerun the load 1/2/3 times to get it to complete the cycle. This washer was purchased last May, 2011 and they say were stuck with it.

My Maytag top loading washer, 4 years old, stopped working in the middle of a wash cycle. Registered Maytag repairman did a diagnosis and finally identified the problem with the control board. The cost of the control board would have cost almost as much as the original wash machine especially since I had to pay for the current service call and labor (to diagnose the problem). After having read a number of other reviews from dissatisfied customers, I will not buy another Maytag product. I was under the impression that Maytag produced a superior appliance but was disappointed by this experience.

I purchased a Maytag gas stove. Right away I noticed the oven racks would sag in the middle pulling the back corners to pull away from sides dropping the rack down on top of rack below. I got a hold of Maytag and they sent me out a set of 3 new oven racks that were exactly the same as the ones I had. I have been fighting with them for years. I called Whirlpool today who make Maytag and was told its off warranty and that I can order another set of oven racks at a cost to me. They would be the same as I have. The racks are so cheaply made and cannot stand even a few pounds. The finish on the stove also chips very easily. You rub a pan up against it and it scratches the white porcelain off. I spent a lot of money buying the dream gas stove I had thought, but only to be unsatisfied with my purchase. Buyer beware of Maytag products.

This washer does not distribute enough water to wash clothes properly. I continually take clothes out of washer that are not completely wet. My darker clothes have white spots of detergent on them that did not get rinsed off. This product should be pulled from the stores. We have tried everything, using deep water wash, bedding wash, to get more water in the machine. Our clothes are not coming out clean. Complete waste of our money!

Maytag Quiet Series 200 only 1.2 years old: I moved into my home about 2 months ago and the touch panel on the dishwasher, which is of course just past the warranty expiration date, has progressively gotten worse until now, doesnt work at all. I have tried calling Maytag many times on numerous occasions, who apparently only has one phone line because its ALWAYS busy. The cost for the touch panel on this dishwasher (model# MDBH945AWS3) is $150 which isnt even worth fixing since I can go to Lowes and buy a new FRIGIDAIRE for $300. The problem is the circuitry from the touch panel to the control board gets too much moisture in it with no protection around it. If I were them, I would find a way to make all these parts separate so regular people, like you and I, would be able to buy parts a lot more cheaply and repair these items ourselves. However, since the front panel and the circuitry attached to it is all one cohesive unit that cant be taken apart from one another, nearly at all without ruining it, then I might have been posting a different review here. However, that is not the case. IF I could actually get in touch with Maytag, I would ask why on earth isnt this a recalled item and when they are shipping me a new part since it seems everyone is having the same issue with their Maytag dishwasher, no matter what series it is. I do not plan on buying a Maytag appliance in the future. I do plan on buying a Frigidaire since the rest of my appliances (stove, fridge and overhead microwave) work perfectly without any issues whatsoever.

Actually, I have had my Maytag washer and dryer for 20 years so they are not new but I am thankful for this set because of the workload it does for me. I sometimes wash heavy loads (blankets, bedspreads, small area rugs), and this pair performs superbly. My son wanted to buy me a new set for Christmas last year but I definitely said no. I truly am happy that I bought Maytag and I truly believe that the Maytag repairman is a bit lonely.

I just got the washer 2 days ago! Its horrible! What type of quality assurance dept are running? Or is there even a QA team?? I put a big load and selected Hot & Power wash. There was hardly any water. It was cold. The detergent nor softener never dispensed. This is the worst washer ever!!!

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top loading washing machine two years ago. The clothes hardly get wet enough to get clean. It leaves a residue on dark clothes and the basket goes unbalanced at the drop of a hat. Whatever you save in water, you spend on electricity because a cycle takes twice as long as a conventional washer. It goes out of balance and bangs the machine enough to walk it across a room. I purchased this machine from an appliance store, not some discount house. I have had machines last 20 years and this one is shot in 2. I will never, ever purchase another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid product again ever.

Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they dont have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. Im told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and Im told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didnt you do this first) and told because we didnt call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then Im told its our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and thats total BS. I explained how you cant offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it. Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they dont even have them. Then told Im getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesnt think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.

I bought a Maytag Bravos XL washer in 2017 for around $800 which suddenly stopped working about 1.5 weeks ago. The console wont turn on. I filed a service request on Maytags website which results in Maytag subcontracting the job to a local appliance servicing company. About 10 days later the appliance tech shows up to my house. I had to pay $125 to the service company for the technician just to show up. After, he tinkers with the machine and 5 minutes later gives me a quote totaling $789.07. Of that amount the parts component was $482.09. He told me that the computer was bad. I was appalled. This was a 2.5 year old well kept washer. I called Maytag company next day to see if they could at least cover the parts cost. Especially as I have a large family with 3 kids plus elderly family members. After waiting 33 minutes on the phone, the CSR took all the appliance info and tried to see if she could get Maytag to cover the parts cost, given my situation. After about 5 minutes, she told me that Maytag declined my request- quoting that my appliance did not have any warranty and that the notes on the computer regarding my appliance indicated that it was field scrap. Field scrap?? Really? This was an appliance that was bought at Home Depot.This is the lowest of lows that this company (Maytag/Whirpool) can stoop. For a billion dollar company, that are advertising their products as Made in America, they have no heart and no empathy for their customers. They build sub-standard products comprising of cheap parts so that their products only last a few months, then they try to sell you their sub-prime warranty services that are full of holes. And for those poor souls that dont sign up for their warranty services, God help them if their appliance breaks down. They are then left to deal with Maytag/Whirpools appliance service vulture contractors which in tandem with Maytag conspire to squeeze every last cent out of hard working Americans (Especially during these trying times).Just to compare my situation. My parents bought LG washers and dryers in 2008 which remain in full working operation to this day (12 years in operation). The Maytag Bravos broke down in 2.5 years. Use my experience as a lesson. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and heartache. DO NOT, I mean DO NOT purchase or support Maytag/Whirpool appliances. You are better off spending your money with LG or Samsung.

Recently I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer. These two items are the single worst appliances I have ever purchased. They are loud, ball the clothes into a knot and run forever. I plan to sell them on Craigslist and buy a Speed Queen.

Fifteen months after purchase of the top load washer, we have had to call in repair. The lid lock and sensor have went out on the machine and the repair costs are equal to the purchase of the machine. Whether the consumer has an extended warranty or not, this is unreasonable. So hear this Maytag, the CONSUMERS will invest elsewhere when delivered cheap merchandise like this even if it is Made in the USA as you wish to tout in order to bait the consumer for their money instead of providing superior quality American products. This consumer is sending this machine out the door.

Well I like all the other people have the very same problem. Ruined floor from sheet of ice that forms on the bottom tray daily. I was told I need a new main board which I understand is about $500.00. I am 55 years old and this was my first brand new fridge. I am so so upset. I grew up with the whole Maytag repairman commercials where he was so lonely cause he never had any repairs to do. All my life I grew up with these commercials. I thought I was buying the best. What a disappointment. It has been in my living room for 2 years. I keep thinking something wonderful is going to happen. Now I have to pay someone to haul it off. Great.

I bought this after having a Frigidaire for 40 years and was immediately disappointed upon installation. This OVEN, not a range, was smaller inside and a lot of new pans would not fit! I have replaced the burners and the bulb wiring several times. Would not buy another one!

Our Maytag dishwasher was purchased new in December 2013. Less than a year later, the control panel needed to be completely replaced. While this first repair was under warranty, the next Complete control panel replacement was not. 8 months later, the same problem and this time the expense of over $300 is out of pocket! The company had no comment and was of no help at all with my customer complaint call. I wish I listened to the warning reviews and never bought a Maytag. Do not buy!

MDB7749SAW - 22 months @ an initial price of $599 and control panel lights become increasingly erratic and finally machine fails to respond to reboot (unplugging) after the third time. Repair man over the phone is familiar with the model and estimates parts at $160 + $115 (gave me a discount) + $125 service call for $400 to make the Maytag run again. Bought June 28, 2012. Installed September 2012. Becomes trash July 2014. Wish I could be more helpful... but if I had purchased the service insurance agreement, it would have run about $90/year... that would have been an extra $180 for a total of $712 including sales tax. So, I had a dishwasher for about 95 cents per day. Nobody rents them. I cant give it less than one star or I would. As a new buyer I was not informed.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!
