Faulty control board. Have owned a Maytag dishwasher model MDB6769PASI for 2.5 years. The unit started beeping at random times for about a week - then went dead! Sounds like other reported failures and it is unlikely repairs will be permanent! Never again Maytag.

In 2007, we bought a Maytag Neptune Washer Dryer Combo from Lowes. By 2008, the washer started stopping operation at every rinse setting, requiring someone to constantly monitor the machine to assure that the button was pushed to fulfill the entire cycle. We called a repair company and were told that the machine was shutting down because the screen in the water intake was getting clogged with debris and was making the machine feel that the water was shutting off. Thus, according to the repair man, the machine was shutting itself off. He showed me how to clean the screens in the intake line and charged me about $150 for the service call. Within a week the machine was doing the same thing again. I pulled out the screens and they were clean. We continued to watch over the washer whenever it was doing the wash and continued to push the button to restart the machine. We live in a very rural area and there are really no repair services available without paying enormous fees just to get them to make a call and the wait is often more than a week.Shortly after the intake incomplete cycle problem, the washing machine stopped getting the water out of the clothes in the spin cycle, forcing us to wring out the clothes before putting them in the dryer. Then we noticed that the washer was leaking from the bottom rear all over our hardwood flooring. We went out and bought a new washer dryer based on reading consumer reports.The cost to replace this piece of crap from Maytag was in excess of $1600. We are only in this house part of the year so this Maytag product not only did not work very well over the short time that we owned it, but it was only being used for a few months out of the year. We have since learned that there was a class action suit over this product line and would like to know how to join the suit. We are so far out in the woods that we will not get our new washer / dryer until some 2 weeks out from our purchase. We have spent nearly $3,000 since 2008 on washer dryers, an average of $1,000 a year.

The washer we bought has a leaking drain pump after 3 years. When I called, they initially told me the part has been flagged as a potential quality issue. When I was passed to the next level to deal with it, they stuck to the you only have a 1 year warranty policy. There are numerous websites indicating this has been an issue for these brands. Simply put, they dont stand behind their products.

I purchased my Maytag Neptune pair on Jan. 24, 2005. I was unaware of the problems and lawsuit related to these items. Luckily, I didnt have any problems with them until May of this year. At that time, I spent $337.00 for a new control panel for the dryer. (Just because I didnt want to split up my set.) I expected them to last me for the rest of my life. Of course, the washer had started to do something even the repair man had never heard of before, right about the same time. I told him that the tub would fill up with gallons of water, and surprise me when I opened the door on various occasions, flooding my laundry room and the basement downstairs. Mind you, this would occur even with the water supply cut off to the machine, no hot or cold running to it.He performed a diagnostic test on it and said everything showed up fine. Of course, it didnt overflow while he was here. He is the one who told me about all the trouble and the lawsuits. I had wondered why I didnt see them for sale anymore. I have been keeping the water turned off except when I need to use it after all this time. It still happens! The repairman thought I was senile or something. I dont have a mold problem, no trouble with the door lock (yet), and out of all the comments and complaints Ive read online today, only this site had one with a problem of it flooding the house. My husband and I are on a fixed income, and here is this unit (that I thought would be my last) rotting out my floor and wall in the laundry room, and flooding my basement. Not to mention it rusting out the inside of the washer and its pedestal. I would like to hear from anyone else who had this water problem, and what it took to fix it.

Stove does not heat evenly in oven. Electric burner cannot be turned down to low or simmer, then it will not cook at all. Other burner turned down to low does not stop bubbling and stays at a high temp. There is no consistency. I am extremely disappointed and curse at this stove every day. Model #MER7664XB. It is quiet and cleans well but thats where it ends. We have had it a little over a year now, after just a few months it started leaking, fixed under warranty. Now one of the upper rack tracks is broken, it was held together with three very flimsy welds, hopefully will be getting it fixed soon. We are going to wait and see what other kind of repair it will need, I think we would have been better off to just buy a cheap dishwasher!

I bought this washer brand new in 2011 for $650. I had bought a Maytag washer before in 1967 and it was still running in 1995 when I gave it away. Considering my first Maytag lasted me nearly 30 years (Last I heard the machine was still running in 2005), I never thought my new Maytag would give me any problems, until it was at least 10 years old. (I did know Maytag had been bought by Whirlpool but didnt expect any difference in quality). Boy, was I wrong! After using it for a month the machine broke down and it had to have the clutch and gear box replaced. Last week July 2016 the machine broke down again. It was the internal computer (referred to as the electric control unit) a printed circuit board that retails for approximately $300 (A ridiculous price given that much more complicated laptop and tablet computers today can be brought for $100, the circuit board should retail for no more than $40).With labor the repair bill came to $550, which was nearly as much as a new machine and did not justify the cost. Supposedly the electric control is susceptible to current surges and power outages. Given that this is the case, it makes no sense whatsoever that a machine billed as eco-friendly would carry a part that will doom it to the junk pile because of a power surge or outage and does not carry a surge protector. After learning of my experience Maytag called me the next day and offered to sell me a new Maytag at a discount price, which of course I flat-out refused.I would never ever again own a Maytag appliance or one made by its new owner (as of 2005) Whirlpool. With such susceptible electric units these appliances will sooner or later result in electric fires that will end the life of its owners. The US govt needs to protect US citizens from these predatory companies that make over-prized, throwaway products labeled as eco-friendly that are potentially dangerous. My advice for anyone that is thinking of buying a Whirlpool or Maytag washer dont do it. For those that already own these machines do not run them without a heavy duty surge protectors. It is not worth your life.

Maytag is the worst washer company. I owned my washer for two years and I had two different problems with it and now I have a 3rd. The first was the same day they delivered the washer, I needed a wire harness. I should have returned it then but I didnt. The 2nd was six months after the first one. A wire came loose due to the washer shaking and the 3rd, Im not sure why it wont drain but the tub is full of water. I called Maytag and they really didnt care as long as they got their money. They referred me to three companies that fixes washer. Two of three was already out for this washer. If I didnt know any better I would think Maytag gets paid off for every customer they referred to these companies. I would never buy another Maytag Bravo or Whirlpool product. Im very dissatisfied with their Bravo washers. They lost a long time customer.

You get what you pay for, you can go cheaper with no frills and watch how clothes wash, also run afresh through the washer as recommended. Also use the correct amount of detergent. Maytag isnt as good as it once was but it is the top of Whirlpools line of companies.

Im told even though my fridge is leaking water and making sizzling sound nothing can be done and my model number and serial number match the recall for this product and I was told that if my fridge catches fire then, Call us but to me thats ridiculous.

Two years ago I purchased a Maytag commercial technology top-load washer. It only two options for water level, either deep water or Auto sensor. Because I live alone I have very small amounts of clothing to wash at a time. Therefore I was excited about the auto sense to save water. However when using the auto sensor theres such a small amount of water in the drum it does not cover the clothes being washed and often I have items of clothing come out of the wash cycle and rinse cycle with dry spots on them yet. The clothes dont get clean and begin to smell stale shortly after theyve been washed. I contacted the business from which I purchased the machine and they were not able nor willing to do anything about my dissatisfaction. This is the worst Appliance I have ever purchased in my 64 years hows life. I hate this washer. It is totally ineffective. And now Im stuck with it and dirty clothes.

Purchase washer and dryer January 26th, had delivered said February 2nd. Had a horrible delivery service, delivery men were very rude and scratched the dryer. Washer never worked correctly, called and had exchange set up for February 9. Washer was delivered on February 9 and again we had a horrible experience with the delivery drivers. They scratched the washer. The owner of the delivery company came to our home making sure everything was correct. Washer worked well for two and a half weeks. Then I noticed the water was slowing down when it was filling. Then this morning the washer completely stopped filling. We called Maytag and they told us we could not get anybody here until next Saturday. They were rude on the phone. We then called Home Depot where we purchased it and said we want to return the washer and dryer. They said we cannot return it. We are stuck with it. Now weve been arguing with Home Depot and Maytag all morning trying to get someone to my home to get the washer fixed. This set cost $1,400 and Maytag is not supporting us on selling us 2 lemon washing machines. We are stuck because we cant return them or exchange them. Home Depot gave us an option to exchange for a lesser model that they have in stock. When you read the reviews for that model the reviews are terrible. I would highly recommend that you do not purchase a Maytag or Whirlpool product. Their company does not stand behind their products or their workmanship. If I had the opportunity I would return these to the store. But it has been over 30 days and I believe that is not an option. Stuck with a lemon. Very sad that customer service is so crappy on an American-made product.

I have had this washer (Maytag Bravos) less than a year and it does not clean my familys clothes at all. I have had to throw away clothes that are stained and ruined because this washer does such a poor job of washing. For the cost of this appliance, I thought it would do an excellent job, only to be disappointed. I have owned other Maytag appliances without a problem. This one is a disaster and has turned me against Maytag.

We bought a Maytag Neptune front loading washer from Bens Maytag in Surrey four years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. There is no screen in the machine to prevent small things (like coins, screws) from going behind the rubber seal and into the pump. As a result, coins frequently block off the outflow to the pump so the machine doesnt drain.We have had to pay for service calls more times than we can count, and have spent more than original price of the machine making repairs and replacing the pump. We now have learned to take off the hoses and open the pump to remove coins ourselves, which we have to do every few weeks! Bens Maytag tells us that its our fault for letting coins go in the wash. There is no accountability for the faulty design of the machine that allows this to happen. We should have cut out losses and thrown this piece of junk out three years ago. We want Maytag to take responsibility for the faulty design of this product and to credit at least our purchase price toward another machine that works properly!

Purchased a new Maytag dishwasher three years ago. After having it for one year the panel box no longer worked. Had to pay $300.00 to repair. Now half way through washing the dishes again no water will go into the machine. Only the first part of the cycle. I am sure it is going to be the panel box after reading other peoples problems with this machine. I will not pay to have it fixed this time. I will have to buy a new dishwasher. I will never purchase a Maytag product ever again. I have lived in my home for 40 years and never had a problem with any appliances. Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

Purchased from Lowes October 2014, paid $680.00. Now needs $600.00 in repairs for new springs and basket rim according to a Maytag appliance repairman.Washer is leaking in the front left. Repairman thinks I need 4 new springs and a redesigned taller basket rim to keep the water from pouring out over it. Yes, it is 16 months old!! Ridiculous!

Bought a stove in May of 2014. In July of 2014 we noticed a 1x6 stain inside the glass of the oven door. I called Maytag and they stated only 30 day warranty on cosmetic flaws. I said this was not there when we bought it. They asked if anything had boiled over because if liquids get in the vents on the oven door it can get in between the glass. I stated no, only cleaned with Stainless steel clear. They stated most likely when I sprayed the door it ran down in between the glass. I said that is a flaw. They said, no the vents are there to allow heat out. I asked if they also were designed to let liquids inside the glass, they said no, I said design flaw. They will do nothing. I also pointed out that nowhere in the owners manual is there a reference to this possibly happening. Our sons in laws have a 3 year old LG stainless steel with vents and have never had this problem. Maytag will not stand behind their products even when they are the ones at fault. Buy a different brand.

If I could give this a 0-Star rating, I would! I cant believe Maytag would make such an awful washing machine! Within the first 2 weeks I called their service department because (in my opinion) the washer wasnt washing properly. It took over a month and several calls to get someone out to look at the washer & dryer. According to the technician, both machines were operating properly. Apparently the washer is designed to destroy clothing and bedding! The gentle cycle set on deep fill will add just enough water to get the clothing wet, then agitates for about 10 minutes, then it fills up, agitates for 3 more minutes and drains. During the 10 minute dry-run, I watch my clothes get destroyed! I have never seen anything like this! My sweaters are shredded, my tops are pilled up & in a garment bag this thing managed to destroy a sports bra! This machine has ripped my mattress cover in several places and pulled my sheets from excessive rubbing due to not enough water. And what is up with the slow fill? The technician informed me that the trickling water is also normal. If I could return this washer, I would! I will never buy another Maytag because my Bravos washer died after only 4 years, and this one is brutal!

Our Maytag microwave MMV4205FZ-0 has the same ubiquitous problem as so many reviewers have mentioned. The microwave refuses to turn on (always at the most inopportune moments--like when the entire family is over for dinner. It doesnt matter how many times you open and close the door, it will often refuse to start. I think the worst part about this situation is that there are so many reviewers experiencing the exact same problem. Imagine how many havent posted a review. Doesnt it seem as though a rethinking of the door switch would have been in order long ago along with a recall? The fact that hasnt happened after so long and so many customers who are disappointed in their purchase is a sad commentary.

Hello, I bought a Maytag washer on 7/4/11 model #mvwc300xw0 serial # c12622108.I called Maytag about the machine not washing right, also the machine top and lid is turn from white to yellow. They had a service company come out they told me they should be replaced. I called Maytag and they told me the machine is only covered the first 30 day. This machine was made wrong. It started to turn color after a few months. Maytag told me they will not change machine because I Did let them know about the problem in 30 days. What can I do? Thank you.

We purchased this dryer a Maytag Model MEDC200XW3 about 10 months ago. The dryer slowly over time began to take longer to dry our clothes. After watching it work and seeing that the airflow in the tube was not flowing well, I noticed the lint trap was not functioning well enough and over 50% of the lint was escaping the lint trap and plugging up the exhaust vent. I asked Maytag for a service to repair my dryer and explained my findings. The service person on the phone wanted to send me a lint brush. I told her to send a repairman. The repairman said that all lint traps let lint by and said it was my problem. Well today theyre closed and I cant even leave a message. Now I know why the Maytag repairman is the loneliest man in town...

Our range and oven are reliable and durable. Easy to clean and have lasted a long time. I do not regret spending a little extra money to have an appliance that has lasted a long time. The oven heats up at a standard rate. The self clean function is very thorough. I have a white set. I was worried they would stain with your typical spills that come along with cooking. However, They clean very easily.

I need a new circuit board for a $2500 refrigerator. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend when the ice chute started opening and closing and lights on door panel flashed like crazy. I called Maytag, who set up a service appointment for me for Monday. The tech came at 6pm and said there was nothing he could do without a part from Maytag and left. I proceeded to throw out all spoiled food and load a cooler with ice. I called Maytag, and they said it will take about a week to receive the part and have service. I have children in the house, and we live in Miami. I said that I would pay for overnight delivery of the part, and they told me it couldnt be done. I called this morning for a tracking number of the part, and they told me that it wasnt sent out as of yet. According to the internet search, this is a problem with a considerable amount of model number MF12568AES, and I should have been notified by the company. They claim it is a special project, not a recall.

Maytag in general has gone from being reputable in the early 70s to being the epitome of a rip-off company that sells junk, then refuses to stand behind it. I have a Maytag Washer and dryer. The washer continually goes out of balance and spins across the floor. Repair people tell us that our floor is not strong enough - funny, our new Samsung washer has no apparent issues with the floor or anything else. Our Maytag Gemini is a piece of crap. The ovens do not work or heat up most days. Maytag pushes replacing an EOC board at $800.00, but then the part is not available. Stove is not even six years old. Maytag is a synonym for junk.

I bought a Maytag Centennial Commercial washer, 3.8 cubic feet, Model # MVWC425BW on September 17, 2014. My clothes were never clean and barely wet. The machine took almost 2 hours to do a load of clothes and they werent even clean! I bought the 3-year extended warranty through Lowe’s. Three years and 8 days later the machine stopped working. Serviceman came out and told me the washer was fatally wounded. He said the transmission failed. He also told me the replacement part would be $400.00 and that it wasnt worth it. He said these machines are junk and Maytag has had all kinds of issues with them. So Maytag knows these machines fail and yet do nothing for their consumers. Maytag, you will only ride on your name for so long; consumers are catching on. Maybe back in my Moms day you were the go-to brand but Im afraid that ship has sailed. Ive always gone with Maytag but now I question that choice. I came on Consumer Affairs page to see what brand I could buy other than Maytag. Seems Kenmore gets high marks.

It takes almost a whole day to wash 1 load of clothes. The clothes dont get clean! The spin cycle wont let you spin. It runs your electric bill up! This is not a energy saver! I am so angry and disappointed! I thought Maytag was Supposed to be the best. Yall failed me. I wish I could get my money back!

I wish I had found this website before I bought my new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot on March 7, 2018. I replaced a 30 year old Maytag washer that I should have kept. I wash two loads a week so has not been used that much and now it will not drain. I tried everything, canceled the cycle out, checked the circuit breaker, unplugged it, removed the clothing, bucketed out the excess water, tried the drain and spin cycle, etc. Just will not drain or spin. Repairman is coming next week... Still under first year warranty but if it is not the “fault” of Maytag I was told there will be a $90+ minimum service charge.

After two years of light use of Maytag Washer 300 Series (MHWE300VW13), it stopped working. I bought Maytag Repair Plan Plus One on Oct. 8, 2012. I scheduled a service appointment on the 9th of October and was told the broken part needed to be backordered and that I should get the parts on November 5th. I have waited for almost one month. Today is November 6th and I received an email and was told I will have to wait another month! Am I in America? There are so many complaints about Maytag washers online. Can the consumer be protected? Our washer finally needs replacing due to the buildup of scale from our very hard well water. This after about 30 years of good service. I have a MFX2570AEM French door refrigerator. Like many others on this site I have ice building up under the freezer drawer. Water also leaks onto the floor. We keep a towel there constantly. We bought this refrigerator along with a dishwasher and microwave, all Maytag and have been disappointed with all of them. We thought Maytag made quality appliances, but my experience tells a different story. I havent called for service yet, but will later today.

I bought a new smart washer and dryer from Maytag in mid-2019. Beginning in the first few weeks the machine did not perform as expected--cut off in middle of cycle, door failed to unlock at end of a cycle, constant error messages that made no sense (power failure when power didnt fail, codes that arent defined in the owners manual). To make a long story short, the company that does their warranty repair, which has worked on the machine approximately 8 times, tells me there is nothing else they can do, the machine is a lemon. But their customer service department refuses to replace it. They say it must be repaired, yet again. But the parts are out of stock (which should be a pretty good indication that theres a problem with product quality). So I am to wait. How long? They dont know. Call again tomorrow.Do NOT buy a Maytag appliance. Customer service does not stand behind their products and the products are no longer up to the quality I had previously expected from Maytag. Additionally, telephone wait times on the customer experience line can exceed an hour and are customarily over 30 minutes. Never had an experience like this with any other major appliance customer service department.

Bravo XL washer and dryer - I had the washer approx 2 months before it leaked water all over the laundry room. The company replaced the washer after two weeks. Now the dryer has gone out after two years. If it cost me the amount stated by other consumers I wont be fixing it.

I have had this refrigerator for a few years and never have had a problem. It keeps food uniformly cold, and is frost free. While appearance is attractive, it doesnt look like a $3,000 refrigerator. However, black pebbled-surface exterior is easy to clean and scratch-resistant. Plastic and glass interior fittings also have held up very well. I originally thought it would be too small because I was buying it to fit a certain space in the kitchen. But it has turned out to be just the right size because there is no wasted space inside. I bought this at Home Depot on sale for about $400.00 and it has turned out to be an excellent buy. Delivery was on time, efficient, and people were polite and helpful. Refrigerator was ready to be used about 15 minutes after delivery arrived. I have found Maytag appliances to be extremely reliable and made to last. They have never disappointed me. I will continue to buy them. I highly recommend it.

The washer has been inconsistent and had required five warranty visits. The computer that runs it has often malfunctioned requiring frequent restarts by unplugging the machine. Stay away.

Im totally done with the Maytag brand that Ive trusted for over 30 years. I never knew until yesterday via Facebook friends that they are not true Maytag-made anymore. They were bought out by Whirlpool eight years ago. I bought my top-load Maytag Bravo 400 Series Washer ($1,028) at Home Depot in October 2008. No problems with it until now, less than 4 years old with error code DL. So I looked in the book and found it was the lid lock (the little red light wasnt lighting up when closing the lid, which prevents it from running).I made an online appointment with Sears Home Appliance repair to check it out. But after talking with online friends and googling fix videos, I was able to get it running today by taking the top off, unplugging the lid wire and plugging it back in. So far, its working but now I will fear each time I go to use it that something else will fail. My old Maytags (washer and dryer) bought in the 80s never needed service until they approached the 14- to 15-year mark. That only tells me that the newer made appliances are total junk! So many complaints and how the companies dont back their appliances, it just sickens me.

We purchased a Maytag MVWB765FW top load washer with agitator to replace a Whirlpool with premature gear case problems (less than 3 years old). Was partially sold by the attractive metal label that says 10 YEAR limited warranty. It is now less than 2 years old and the Maytag selected repairman just diagnosed a failing transmission and of course advised us this is not covered by the warranty. Cost to repair—$ 600. About as close to false advertising as I have seen.I can’t believe that this company would sell such crap and not stand behind their products! But after seeing all these other complaints I believe it now. I bought both washers from Nebraska Furniture Mart and I realize they only sell the appliances but I plan to inform them that if they continue to handle Whirlpool and Maytag products they will never sell another appliance to me or to anyone else I can influence to not buy from them. We as consumers are almost powerless against these manufacturers but if we can influence the stores we buy from, just maybe we will see some improvement.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher in April 2012. The electronic control panel failed in October 2013. Repair quote was $250, and there is no guarantee that the new control panel will not suffer the same consequences. My research has revealed that this is a very common problem with the dishwasher experienced by a large amount of owners, all about at the 18-month mark. I contacted the company and was chastised for not purchasing the extended warranty and was basically told, Too bad so sad. Buyer beware, do your research before you purchase this appliance. I will never buy a Maytag appliance, or any brand associated with the Maytag name.

I purchased this product at an authorized Maytag dealer sixteen months ago (Maytag front-Loading washer, model MHWE55OWW1) for approximately $1,500. The main bearing and drum are now shot. Maytag has acknowledged that it is likely defective. Notwithstanding their conclusion, Maytag has chosen not to offer a repair or replacement. The conclusion is simply that Maytag does not make a very good product, and any prospective purchasers can expect that they will not get any customer support for their products.

First front loader washer and love it. Saving on water, less tangling of clothes. So far they are quieter than others that I have had. The dryer is almost 10 years old and the washer less than a year. The machine I had previous to this was top loader that had to be replaced, would no longer spin.

Two in a row make it just over a year then the control panel goes out. You call a Maytag repairman and they say the control panel is bad! #1 it should last more than a year and a half. #2 a part shouldnt cost you as much as the darn dishwasher! Do not recommend nor would I ever buy another Maytag.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator (freezer on the bottom) in August 2012. In 2014 we had to have the freezer repaired (defrost drain) which cost $153. This month, July 2015, we had to have the refrigerator repaired for another $293. The problem with the refrigerator the repairman told us is the control board (p/n W10503278). He stated that they didnt make the first board very well and hes been replacing this part quite frequently for customers. I only spent $799 on the refrigerator and I already have $446 into it. That is half of what I paid for it! I wouldnt recommend Maytag to anybody!

I purchased a Neptune washer/dryer front loader. All Neptune washers have basic design flaw over which the company should be sued. Since the bulk of the weight is in the front of the horizontal wash-drum, the entire assembly is suspended by a rear mounted bearing allowing the drum to spin. That bearing assembly is woefully under-designed and not able to support the unequally distributed weight that is inherent in any front load design.Since the forces of gravity cause a loading of the rear bearing on the front of the bearing raceway only, the machine is doomed to catastrophic failure of the entire drum system--and they all do this. When the washer goes into spin mode, it sounds like a jet engine taking off and that is a symptom of the bearing design beginning to fail which begins on the first use of the machine. The cost of the drum assembly/bearing and the labor is far more expensive than buying a new machine and therefore, not worth it. Avoid Maytag products at all costs.

My Atlantis dryer has never been able to be used on more/less dryer settings, I have had 4 repairmen repair my dryer 3 were while dryer was under warranty to fix the same thing 3 times wiring 4th time, anyway last repairman said my More dry wont work because I never had a sensor installed in my dryer and there is not a place for one so since 2005. Ive used timed dry only or my dryer runs all the time. I am concerned the first 3 repairmen never caught this. I should not have to be responsible for this either. Please have a manager contact me and have them check into my Atlantis Maytag dryer bought in 2005 and all the repair slips sent to Maytag.I used Green Yates in Joplin. Pretty sure. I thought I just had to live with it they would put new parts on I think timer, thermostats anyway can someone tell me for sure or inspect for yourself. I am single and dryer never used that much. This review is for a Maytag dishwasher. I do not know the Make/Model. It did a very poor job of washing the dishes. It may have been the city water, but no matter what I put into the machine to keep the dishes from being cloudy it never worked. It became disabled about a year after we moved in, and it was only about 6 years old. However, there were two families before me that used it and I have no idea how they used it. It was the first and last Maytag dishwasher I will ever use.

I have had a Maytag Bravo Model MVWX500XW0. Bought less than 3 yrs ago for over $550. Four days ago, the drum would not turn during wash or spin. It would act like it was going to turn but then the door lock lid kept flashing. Today Maytag repairman came by and put in a new lock circuit. Instead of fixing the problem, it made it worse. The washer started making rapid clicking sounds and finally the lid lock stopped working altogether. The repairman could not get his computer to even do a diagnostic. Instead he calls his boss who says it must be the motherboard, a $300 part. My research indicates that Maytag almost always says replace motherboard and customers find that doesnt work either. Ive never had a washer last less than 10 years. Three years for a high-priced washer is mind boggling. Ive also never had a repairman make things worse by installing new part but that happened. I will never buy a Maytag product again, even if its owned by Whirlpool, which used to be a name you could count on.

Our 3-year-old Maytag refrigerator, MFF2558VEAZ, is forming a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. The ice partially melts for some reason, and then water leaks out at both bottom corners, usually once a day. Others have reported the same problem. Contact with a repair person is yet to be done. This must represent a factory defect.

We just replaced our 20-year-old washer and dryer for a new Maytag Bravos set. The Home Depot staff convinced us that top loading units were of good quality and reliable. We were fairly satisfied with our expensive purchase when our washer stopped spinning. We are just past our 1-year warranty of course so we called the service department. A young man in a beat-up pickup truck showed up and spent his time reading the manual that was hidden under the washer. His best guess was a $300 part plus a $100 fee for him to show up. So to repair a less than 2-year-old machine is $400. Im tempted to buy a different washer. It wont be a Maytag, unless you can convince me otherwise. I give you credit for great advertising! I was convinced that Maytag was a good name with limited repairs.

It is nice to know that there are other people out there that have the same problem with the Maytag washers cabinet inside and outside rusting. Our rusting is around the bleach area rim and on the outer seam of the washer. Our washer is now 4 years old. We started having the rusting problems in 2011. We called Maytag and of course. They are sorry for our problem but cant do anything about it. They made it sound like we were the only ones having this problem. We need to stand strong and continue to complain about this problem until Maytag takes responsibility for their poor quality washers. Anyone out there looking to purchase a washer. Do your homework. Worst customer service ever. I ordered my washer and dryer from home depot 2 weeks before a possible delivery day. The day before delivery I receive a call that they dont have them and I must wait 1 more week. After 3 phone calls I am promised a credit to my account. A week after delivery I am wondering where my credit I was promised is so I call. Im told the most I can be given is $100. I state that I feel my time is worth more than that. A supervisor is brought in and Im told we will get $150 credit. Then put on hold. She reviews account (why didnt you do this first) and told because we didnt call within 48 hrs of delivery the most they can give us is $75. So I call back very frustrated. Then Im told its our word against theirs that we were offered that?!? What?!? Well I am sure you record conversations and thats total BS. I explained how you cant offer something then take it back. I was told the week before I was getting a credit and my account already notated. No one said, Call within 48 hrs to dispute again to get it. Why would I have to I mean seriously. So after a total of at least 2hrs on the phone before and after delivery I am forced to settle with $75. I feel very unappreciated. I purchased and paid for $1633 worth of appliances that were a week later than promised. Called less than 24 hrs before expected delivery and told they dont even have them. Then told Im getting a credit of $150 to be told sorry now just $75. The lady proceeds to say that she doesnt think it was because of the phone call not being made. What? Are you serious. WELL THAT WAS THE LAME EXCUSE I WAS GIVEN SO I COULD CARE LESS IF IT WASNT THE REAL REASON. THAT JUST MEANS I WAS LIED TO. I promise I will never buy Maytag Whirlpool again. One customer may not mean much to you but good customer service means everything to me.

Bought a Maytag 4000 series washer and dryer combo for about 2100 dollars in October 2011. Had a professional look at it today since the clothes stayed wet after the spin cycle. Told us it would cost 1000 dollars to repair the washing machine. So a total write-off in barely four years. I am very disappointed.

Bravos washer is 4 years old. Started making an extreme amount of noise during the spin cycle. Had a repairman look at and showed me the bearings and area under the tub. $400 plus in damage due to bad bearings, rust to bottom of tub and surrounding area. Four years for a high-end washer is pretty bad. Needless to say, I will buy a new unit and would NEVER recommend a Maytag Bravos appliance.

1998 MAH4000 - I got this unit (used) in 2004 for $400, and it has pretty much kinda been a lemon ever since. I have babied it through until now, though it had the wax motor repaired twice (Im glad I bought an extended warranty from Maytag, but that added $400). Now the motor control has gone out. I like the concept of the front-loader, but my folks Maytags (and my grandparents) have run for 30+ years without any of the hassles Ive had.Granted, I like bleach, so the mold thing has been less of an issue for me, but wow. I have to say I wont ever purchase another Maytag appliance again. Im about to drop the $185 for a new motor (the motor control board went out, and apparently I need to get the new motor and control). Im pretty sure I lost a phase based on the burnt components on the board. Im glad I know a bit about electronics, or else Id really have been in for some money. Boo on this model!!

This Maytag dishwasher works great if you are using as a sanitizer for your dishes so long as the dishes were soaked already. It stinks if you do not use it often and requires a lot of bleaching.

I bought my Maytag in 2013. It worked fine at first but for the last year it isnt getting clothes clean. In fact, some look like theyve never been washed. I have to run the rinse cycle 2-3 times and they still seem somewhat soapy. The washer still leaves clothes drippy after running the spin cycle. It takes 2-3 hours to complete a small load. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. It worked fine for nearly 20 years!

My Maytag washing machine is rusting out at less than three years! [Photos included]. I have called customer service twice, spoken to two different women and have been told that it is a cosmetic issue [Model MTW2541240; Serial CW2541240 ]. The last e-mail with photos was sent to Gwendolyn **. I indicated that the rust has ruined very expensive sheets, other clothing, towels. It took me a long time to figure out what was causing the spots on the clothes. There is rust on the outside of the machine, the lid and inside the actual drum which holds the water. The machine is a lemon. You have me registered in your system with the date of purchase.My question to you, since when is rust in the inside of a washing machine a cosmetic issue? Are you aware of this issue? Do you as the CEO believe this is what is acceptable for a Maytag washing machine? I firmly suspect this issue is beyond my washer based on my research with various stores and sales people. They are telling me I am not the first with this issue, non-Lowes stores. I purchased the machine at Lowes and because no one at Whirlpool was responsive to him or to Lowes, he is offering to apply the refund to a new Lowes washing machine. I am now in the process of searching my credit card records from Sept-Oct 2008 which is when I bought the machine.I would like not to be restricted to Lowes for another washing machine. I just want the full value of the washer back so that I will have a choice in the replacement. The selection at Lowes is limiting. The middle piece of glass on my four-year-old gas oven shattered. It was not being used, but when I called Maytag, they told me that that was not covered because I did not have an extended warranty, and that I can purchase a new oven door and would have to pay the service person. I hope they go out of business. Maytag stinks, and everyone should know this.

We purchased a new Maytag side-by-side refrigerator back in 2011 and for the last several months it has been leaking water into the bottom of the freezer unit when it goes through the automatic defrost process. The water freezes and after a few of these cycles causing the ice to accumulate and build up, it starts to leak out onto our kitchen floor. About every 10 days we have to open the freezer door, break up the accumulated ice on the bottom of the freezer and remove the ice chunks by hand. What a pain in the neck! Most of the time we can prevent the water from escaping, but not always. This is going to damage our kitchen floor, not to mention its a safety hazard for slip and falls, and/or fire or shock hazards. We have contacted Maytag directly, but nothing will be done as they say its beyond the 12 month standard warranty. They said one option is for us to purchase an extended warranty plan from them for only $359. Really? Are you kidding me?? They dont seem to care about a potential product liability property damage claim/suit, nor an exposure for a potential bodily injury claim. As Ive tried to explain, this is NOT a warranty situation, its a product defect situation and one probably worth a class action lawsuit based on the number of complaints Im aware of. They know its a product defect problem, but choose to ignore it at the expense of numerous innocent consumers. The only resolution seems to be filing your own lawsuit against them for some kind of remedy to this very aggravating situation that occurs every 10 days or so. Maytag used to be very good appliances, ones that were made of high quality materials, and lasted for years without any problems. Thats why I became a Maytag fan in the first place, but ever since they were purchased by Whirlpool Corporation, its not the same old Maytag we used to know and love. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG APPLIANCES - you will regret it!!

We just had the same problem as most of you have posted. The control panel malfunction. Model MDB7749SBM. Our issue started after only 18 months when the dishwasher would start on its own and/or cancel a wash on its own. I think this is a major issue if a home appliance can start on its own from the off position and run through multiple cycles. I think this could be dangerous if you are out of town. Our cost to replace the panel was more than 1/2 of the original purchase price. This is a major defect and should be handled by Maytag if they are a company with any integrity.

We purchased a Bravo HE washer about a year ago after our old Maytag finally died after 17 years. Our new one is more quiet, does a good job with less water although the cycle times are a bit longer.

I wish I had never bought a Maytag refrigerator! Nothing but problems. The ice maker does not work, water leaked 3 times onto our wood floor. Finally, I disconnected the control panel so I have an ice/water dispenser that is useless just like the refrigerator. I dont think the Maytag man is sitting around from lack of work, maybe laziness. Dont buy a Maytag.

My first job was at Sears but went elsewhere to buy Maytag. I have had only 3 sets of washer/Dryer in 50 years. The set I have now are over 20 years old! I am looking at a Maytag refrigerator now.

When we first purchased our fridge, I was super excited. I have read the numerous reviews regarding ice in the bottom and the noise. Ours is noisy also. Nothing I cant live with. Now ice on the bottom. That doesnt work for me. A friend of ours told us the drain was plugged. Not that the doors needed to be replaced, nor does it need gaskets. All you need is a hair dryer and a man like mine who can build or fix anything (honest to God that is the truth). He took the drawers out and then removed the door to the freezer. In the center on the back of the fridge is a drain hole. Aim a hair dryer in this spot and it will melt the ice which is plugging the drain. Ours took about three years to have the water in the bottom issue. Since we have now seen where the drain hole is, there would be no need to take the door off and the drawers out. Now, one other preventive measure. Take off the lower back plate of the fridge. At the beginning of the drain hose is a rubber nipple. There is barely any room for the water to drain. We cut the end of the nipple off in order to make the water drain better and less likely to stop up. We just snipped a bit of the end. The reason it is designed like that is to prevent air from coming into the. Just a small snip. I hope this may help some of you. Tell the Maytag repairmen how to fix it.

Model MBF 2258XEW3. I am very annoyed with this fridge. Never will buy a Maytag again. I went to this site to see what the problem with my fridge was and read that I am not the only one with this problem. From the beginning it never worked right. Often the food in the fridge got ice crystals in them so I had to up the temp. This made the freezer not cold enough so I had to lower the temp again. This is a constant affair. Now the bottom of the freezer is collecting an ice sheet or a water bath that has to be removed every other day so that it doesnt built up or leak out. Will have to buy a new fridge. But now I am worried that I might buy another lemon.

We purchased this washer 3/25/15 for $873.77, we also got the matching dryer, for the same amount. This washer, never washed good, it is simply a bad design, I dont know, what type of mind altering products the designer was on at the time, but it must of been some good stuff, since all brands jumped on the wagon. This is a POS, I have contacted Maytag, and they just ignore me. We need a class action lawsuit against them, they think they can take our money, and laugh at us.

Our less than five yr old washer finally died. It had been making awful sounds. Started in only very small loads but then started in bigger loads too. It finally stopped altogether. Model number MVWC400XW4. I would NOT recommend this washer.

This Maytag dishwasher was purchased because Maytag has always been represented as a reliable brand. Wish I had done some research on this problem before repairing it! The control panel went bad after 18 months (and at least 6 months of this time it was not used at all!). The repair cost $300, the dishwasher only cost $429, and if I had realized how much this would cost I would have bought another dishwasher instead. Wonder how long this control panel will last? I called Maytag to complain and was told by Dana badge no. ** that there was nothing to be done as it was out of warranty. We have had dishwashers for 10+ years before that never gave us any trouble. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she told me she didnt have one! Really, how about if George Moore the CFO or Arthur Learmonth the President call me back on this one! We shall see what they say, but I can see by all the complaints about the same issue with Maytag dishwashers that we will probably be out of luck unless we start or join a class action lawsuit (looks like there is one in California already). I will amend this post if Maytag decides to stand by their product and at least pay for the cost of the control panel, but Im not holding my breath.

I also purchased a Maytag dishwasher a few years ago. It has never worked that well. We had a repairman come out once to replace the control board but the problem soon returned. Interestingly, we found that if we wait long enough until the control panel is in the mood, the dishwasher works again and the control panel responds to button pushes, until the problem returns.I dont recall what model I purchased but it seems to be irrelevant. From reading the other customer complaints, its quite obvious that all Maytag dishwashers inherently have problems with their control panels and Maytag intends on doing nothing about it. I guess the extra repair costs that their customers have to pay for their defective products brings in some additional revenue to Maytag, so theres no real motivation for them to fix their ** products.

Very poor quality. Vegetables freeze at the back of the fridge I have tried everything. The vegetable drawer constantly comes off its track and the freezer door slide jams and stops the door from closing. It leaves about 1/2 inch gap. Now the Whirlpool/Maytag company changed their corporate policy and wont allow an appliance store that to come out and fix the fridge I have to go back to the manufacturer. Their website wouldnt take my email address when I tried to sign up for an account and they wont answer the phone. What a hassle. Ill buy another brand next time but never GE or Whirlpool again!

Refrigerator - The freezer of the refrigerator would randomly leak on the floor. When I had it repaired on 12/30/14, at a cost of $253.97, the repairman showed me the defective part. He confirmed the online reports that the leaking was caused by a defective part. The defective part had been used because it was cheaper. Now the repaired refrigerator works well. Last month, the control panel on the dishwasher stopped working. According to the online reviews, this is a frequent problem requiring that a new control board be installed. The reported failure typically occurs after the one year warranty expires. My appliances are located in a second home so are only used about once a month. A salesperson at a different appliance store said that appliances usually last from 10 to 12 years. The four years of occasional use prior to failure is not acceptable. I would like to have Maytag repair the dishwasher at their cost. How do I get this to occur?

Although we have always had Maytags, this was the first time we purchased a front load washer. The Maytag Neptune washer smells and your clothes stink. We have purchased the most expensive laundry products, washed and rewashed clothes and have no other recourse but to buy new machines again. We will not be purchasing Maytag or Whirlpool. I would give it a minus 5 stars.

Just like all the other reviews, the control panel on our 3-year-old dishwasher stopped working. The obvious defect of the product and lack of customer support is unreal. We ended up replacing the Maytag with a Frigidaire. Hopefully it lasts more than three years.

Purchased a Maytag dishwasher (Model #MDB7749SAW1) in January of 2013, installed in February. A little over a year later the control panel went out. I called Maytag and they were kind enough to pay for the part and I had to pay for the service. Now it is July of 2015 and the control panel is going out again. I called Maytag directly and talked with a service representative and the best they could do for me was for $269.95 they would have it fixed and I would have a one year warranty as well. Based on the pattern the warranty is not going to help as it goes out just after a year. For only having it 2 1/2 years it is becoming a very expensive dishwasher. There should be a recall on this control panel. Very disappointed.

We purchased all new appliances 3 years ago including a Maytag dishwasher. Same problem as a lot of others. We had the control board fail three times in just four months. Now today the repairman came and while he was here contacted other Sears technicians and Whirlpool technicians. They came up with the idea to replace the detergent dispenser which they said is causing the main control board to fail. However, while the tech was on the line with Sears and Whirlpool they done troubleshooting on the detergent dispenser and found that it was all within specifications. In fact, that was not a problem because it worked as it should. But in their wisdom they decided to replace the detergent dispenser. We now have to wait another ten days for the part to arrive and reschedule another appointment to have the detergent dispenser that works replaced. The serviceman that was at our house said that they are making him replace a part that is working and that this does not need to be done but he has to take instructions from Sears technicians. Our service person said that he doesnt anticipate that replacing the detergent dispenser will make the dishwasher work but he said if it does it will only last a few weeks as before and then fail once again. We have the dishwasher on extended warranty and there are about 22 months. I suspect that this one will be going to court to get resolved. Never Maytag again or Whirlpool.

Bought a new Maxima washer in January. Worked for one week. Got error codes and electronics board shut down. Contract serviceman says board should have reset after turning off. Ordered new board and it is missing one of the electrical wire connector plugins. Maytag/Whirlpool is having a problem with these boards.Three weeks without a washer. Two days off work. When it goes out again, days off work will be close to what I paid for it. Thinking I may cut my future losses and buy another brand when in-transit board goes out.

I bought a brand new Maytag washer and dryer at Home Depot and did not use until a week later when I found out that the washer did not spin out the water and the machine turned off automatically when cycle was not finished. As a result my load was soaking wet. I called Maytag customer service and they sent the technician. I was standing next to the technician to see what was wrong with the washer. After checking several things and seeing the unresponsive of the washer the technician told me the control unit failed and the clutch also failed. He had to order the parts and it will take at least a week for him to come back and fix it.I called Maytag customer services and complained about the brand new washer and ask them to replace it with a new one as I dont know if the problems returns and it doesnt have just one failing part. Both the controlling unit and the clutch were failed. Also i bought a brand new products I expect it to work. I dont want to pay for brand new washer and I could not use it plus it took so much of my time going back and forth between Home Depot and Maytag. It was so stressful and I had tons of laundry that need to be done. I also had to take half a day off to call the Maytag customer services and Home Depot.During my first call with Maytag customer services I asked them to call my local Home Depot so Home Depot will allow me to exchange for another Maytag washer. They had refused at first but when I told them all the reasons above they agreed to call Home Depot and allow the replacement. They asked to hang on the phone while they were calling Home Depot and finally confirmed with me that I could go there and do the replacement.Surprisingly when I came to Home Depot they said they did not get any notes or call from Maytag regarding my PO# and the replacement. I had to wait for 1hr and 15 minutes for the Home Depot to be able to connect to Maytag customer services and we had to wait for their supervisor to approve the replacement. I was so disappointed later to hear Maytag supervisor telling Home Depot that I had to wait for the repair and they did not approve the replacement. Its really a waste of time and money to buy Maytag products and they dont honor what they said to customers. Once you pay them they take your money and dont really care whether their product is worth the money consumers spend on them. In general its a rip-off!!! Stay away from Maytag products if you dont want to waste your time and money!!

Maytag MFD2561 - The metal piece between our French doors is also rusting. It is a design flaw. We also have a GE French door refrigerator and that piece on it is not metal!

Waste of $1700. Well all I can say is I wish I woulda read these reviews prior to buying but thought Maytag was a good brand. Boy was I wrong. Never again will I purchase Maytag products. I must say I haven’t had any issues with the dryer. Works great. The washer on the other hand is garbage!! It barely cleans the clothes. Some articles only get partially wet. Everything tangles together. The worst part is all my dark clothes ends up full of dust and lint. They look dirtier coming out than when they went in. Very disappointed. If you use deep load it takes about 1 1/2hrs to wash, definitely not energy efficient, and clothes still have lint on both cycles, and unfortunately most of our clothes need to be hung up, so dryer can’t pick up the lint. My old wash was way better. I shoulda went for same old style. Save you money and buy another brand.

Actually, I have had my Maytag washer and dryer for 20 years so they are not new but I am thankful for this set because of the workload it does for me. I sometimes wash heavy loads (blankets, bedspreads, small area rugs), and this pair performs superbly. My son wanted to buy me a new set for Christmas last year but I definitely said no. I truly am happy that I bought Maytag and I truly believe that the Maytag repairman is a bit lonely.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher mdb7749sbm1 in 2014 and have had nothing but problems with it since it was delivered. Within a year of owning it, the top jet fell off. We had it replaced and the repairman warned us that it would probably come off again due to a faulty latching system. In the last six months one of the brackets that holds the upper shelf has broken off and the dishwasher leaks every time we use it.My last cycle leaked so bad that essentially it completely soaked the extra large bath towel we place in front of it and travelled halfway through my kitchen. Not to mention that it never washed dishes well, regardless of what cycle we use, which/how little or much detergent/rinse agent and it does not filter at all, as theres debris all over my dishes and glasses. I am now looking to replace it before like other reviewers a control panel fire occurs. Strongly recommend staying away from this brand.

Maytag wont fix new washer. Service person came 3X, but it still wont go to rinse cycle. Last 2X Maytag said service scheduled, but no one showed. MT mgr said cant help & to just keep calling back.

We bought the combo Maytag Bravo 300. The issues with the dryer are that it doesnt heat right, have to run the thing twice, after the first 50 minutes the clothes are still damp and it sounds like its going to take off. We had a service man tell us that it was the fan blower rubbing. Now for the washer. It sounds like a b-52 taking off in spin cycle. I know that its the bearings, bearing kit 80 some dollars plus the bearing tool another 80 some bucks. Dont think Im going to invest in Maytags game. If there is ever a class action lawsuit please put me down or notify me.

Purchased Maytag Washing Machine from Lowes in Alexandria Louisiana on January 12, 2021. Today is April 16, 2021 and it will no longer wash clothes and has horrible burnt smell coming from it when on wash cycle!!! Tried contacting Maytag Service but was kept on hold for almost 1 hour. I setup a service tech using the Maytag Service online and supposedly a technician will be here on Monday April 19, 2021....of which I seriously doubt will even show up based on some other reviews.Maytag as well as Lowes are SCAMMING people out of hard earned money by selling such garbage!! If LOWES or Maytag really cared about its customers it would see these Negative Reviews and do something about it. Lowes continues to sell this garbage which is why I am blaming them as well! DO NOT DEAL WITH LOWES OR MAYTAG PRODUCTS - YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

Model MWVC360AW0 has never done a decent job cleaning. Washing pods would not dissolve completely. Ruined a lot of clothes. Had to rewash many times. This is a piece of junk. Extended warrant folks at Home Depot no good either.

2 weeks after my warranty is up, the control panel is shot. They used to make quality products and that is why I purchased a Maytag. I had before this a very cheap dishwasher from G.E. and it lasted 9 yrs. I cant believe it is already broken. Do not buy Maytag!!

I bought a Maytag 4452BDW stove, the more button is not working. I did my research and was not happy to see this is a common and reoccurring issue with Maytag Stoves. The expensive of the part that too often fails again along with the cost of the service man to repair it places the Maytag as low quality at a high price. I am hoping to see a company that stands behind its product by addressing this correctly and promptly. It would be a pleasure to have my faith restored as it should be by Maytag.

Maytag dishwasher does not clean dishes. It has hot water and we have had a repairman look at it and he said water jets working. We have to wash all our dishes by hand before loading them into the dishwasher to sanitize.

I purchased a Quiet Series 300 E71195 dishwasher in 2011. Its about 3.5 yrs old. I guess misery loves company because like so many other complaints on this site my control board died, and Maytag, while saying they care about customer satisfaction, basically said tough luck pal, youre on your own. Sadly I own 3 other newish Maytag appliances. When will these appliances die without support from Maytag? Im not holding my breath. My next step is to complain to the dept of Consumer Affairs and create a page about nefarious Maytag on social media. Avoid the Maytag brand when shopping for appliances. I know I will.

I have a Maytag Performa washing machine (model no. PAVT234AWW) and called the Maytag parts department to order a plastic pulley for the main drive motor. I was told I would have to purchase the 189 dollar motor just to get the plastic pulley. After two days web searching and calling local appliance stores I found that Whirlpool who uses the same drive motor sells the pulley (part no. 21001108) for 9 dollars. The Whirlpool pulley is even made out of stronger plastic. I just wonder how many Maytag customers have had to purchase a drive motor like I was told I had to by Maytag just to fix a 9 dollar pulley. I got lucky and my problem was solved, but only because a local store happened to have this particular problem so frequently that they were able to help me out when Maytag should be the ones helping out their customers better. I purchased a Maytag Bravos in October 2015 and a month and a half later the machine began to make a tweeting sound and the clothes were coming out incredibly wrinkled no matter what spin cycle I put it on. There were also times when the clothes came out totally dripping wet like they hadnt spun at all. I called Maytag and they sent out a technician from a local store which was not a Maytag store. When I told him what was going on, his response to the machine turning out very wrinkly clothes was, Well, why dont you just chose no spin. I said to him, So the clothes wont spin and I have to take out my clothes dripping wet? Doesnt that defeat the purpose of having a washing machine that spins? He didnt say anything to me.It turned out the machine needed a new gasket motor... after two and a half months... and it would take a week - minimum - before he would come back. Maytag sent me a survey which I filled out and they called a day later. They offered me a six month extended warranty for free. I explained to them that I didnt understand why something mechanical would break after two and a half months but the woman just kept apologizing.

MF12665XEM7 Maytag Fridge water runs on the floor: After reading the review and watching the video to fix, I called Maytag. They refused to help. We bought our fridge at Nebraska Furniture Mart. We have spent a lot of money with them too. My husband called to see if they would split the cost of the service call. They refused. My floor is ruined from the water leakage onto it when we are not home. We try to catch the ice buildup and remove it before it is an issue. Why is there no class action suit? There is definitely a problem with this fridge and Im seeing it online everywhere I look.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator in November 2016. It is now the first week of June 2017 and the ice dispenser no longer works and the door alarm goes off incessantly and intermittently all day and all night. I am so sick of being woken up by the alarm in the middle of the night. I reread the manual and ran through the limited troubleshooting to no avail. I called customer service, sat on hold for a half hour, and scheduled a service call. As an interim stopgap for the pull-my-hair-out alarm issue, the operator suggested I disconnect some wires, as there is no off button for the door alarm. I wasnt dumb enough to do that and void my warranty. Best part of the call was when the operator offered to sell me an extended warranty. Well see how the service appointment goes, but I have a feeling this is the last Maytag product I will ever get. I am very curious about the lack of product recall as my research unveiled hundreds of complaints about the exact same issues I am having. Why does it seem to take a class action lawsuit before a company fulfills the promises in their advertising? Model number: MFI2570FEZ01 Purchased from Home Depot in Nov 2016 for $1,230.

We bought our Maytag washer and dryer a bit over 5 years ago. Now the UL warning comes on. Found out it will be over $400 to fix it. It only cost $500 new. Repairman says it is very common and not to pay him to fix it. Our GE went 20 years. Lesson learned, wife is out looking at new GE.

Consider all other manufacturers before purchasing a Maytag dishwasher. Our 3 year old model MDB8949SBB1 is junk. The control panel is a joke. Works when it wants to. Do not spend your hard earned money on Maytag.

I am writing this because I received an offer for a protection plan today in the mail. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher on from Home Depot. I had to have the control panel (motherboard) replaced a month after purchase to failed again approx. a year later. I still own this dishwasher (MDB7749SBB) but only used it off and on 2 of the first 10 year - have not used since. Well kids are in college and my next purchase will not be a Maytag. The wife and I lost all confidence in this product.

Maytag washer MVWC565FW - Clothes do not wash. They just get pushed around and the soap scum is left on the clothes even with the water at the highest level. I bought the washer override lid switch at a appliance parts store just to observe the washer cycles. The washer did not wash the clothes. I took the washer back. I like Maytag products but this washer has to be engineered.

My 14 month old Refrigerator made a popping noise and quit working. I called Maytag and I had to pay $299.00 for a Service Plan so the repairs would be covered under a warranty and A&E Factory Service came out to do the repair. The repairman told me the Circuit Board and Compressor were melted and he was surprised it didnt cause a fire. The repairman had to get authorization to order the parts for this repair because they were so expensive and he is not even sure if the repair will fix the refrigerator. It is going to take 2 weeks for the parts to come in which means I will be without a refrigerator for a total of 3 weeks and were not sure if this will fix the problem. I am being told by Assurance (the warranty company) that they have to replace the parts 3 times before they will replace the refrigerator. I asked them, Exactly how long do you expect me to go without a refrigerator before I get mine fixed or replaced? When I called customer service and spoke to Brittany she gave me her standard robotic answers. I asked to speak to a manager and she sent me to the never-ending hold zone. I called back and non manager was available but they took my name and number and assured me that someone would call me back. I am still waiting for that call.

Works quietly and efficiently and I love it! I dont even know its running and the dishes are sparkling clean when they come out. How could ask for anything more. I would always purchase this brand again. The reliability is another factor, I have had Maytag before.

This is a top load washer, commercial series, high efficiency without any agitator. It doesnt use enough water to break down the soap, no matter what soap or amount is used. Clothes come out of the machine with soap patches. It is also virtually impossible to balance the load so when it spins, it bangs and thumps and walks across the room until it shuts itself down. Stirring and re-distributing the load, changing the size of the load, small or large (should you actually fill the tub to a full load per instructions) it simply doesnt distribute or balance itself at all. At the end of the day, clothes need more water for extra rinse and then doesnt seem to work with soap removal all of the time. You cant put a load in and walk away and do something else or it will bang around and turn off. A waste of money and time. Save yourself, buy something else.

The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!
