Maytag Bravos XL HE MVWB725BW. Washer was fantastic at first. Then about at 14 months old, the spin cycle starting making loud noises. Called Maytag, they promptly dispatched a repair service. The estimate to fix the washer was $531. The repair man stated Maytag does NOT seal the bearings from the factory. They only rely on a rubber washer, poor design. Maytag was unwilling to help with a washer with their name on it that failed at 14 months in any shape or fashion. She mentioned that Maytag has a 2-10 warranty on the motor only (which is non-existent, its electromagnetic). This will be the last Maytag that I ever intend to purchase.

One time at around yr 2 of our 10 yr warranty the repair guy removed my agitator, spline gone. Couldn’t find one anywhere! After a month of using a laundromat, I called the company in Montreal and they had the new agitator in my post office in 4 days. I am unable to wash anything that puts the Bravo washer out of balance ie: towels. The sides are busting out on the machine!! We have only had it 4 years so far. Not impressed! Does the warranty cover busting out sides? As it is a major part of the structure of the machine.

We purchased our home five years ago. We bought a new Maytag oven and fridge/freezer. Within one year, the oven control went out. Then a few months later, the heating element went out. Within two years, our fridge/freezer went out. I purchased Maytag products because of the commercial where the Maytag repairman is doing nothing. I will never purchase a Maytag product again.

I bought a Maytag Range with the Aqualift feature 3 years ago. Worse purchase every, the oven clean option (Aqualift) is useless. It do not work at all, be prepared to spend hours cleaning. I followed manufacturers instructions and its useless, after running the cleaning cycle three times I gave up and starting cleaning for hours.

I purchased a Neptune set in the late 90s when they first came on the market. I remember my delight - after the first use my clothes looked like new. Most impressive was I never needed to iron anything. Incredible. After 20 years of maintenance free operation, I finally decided they were getting too loud and was afraid theyd break down and spill water. Of course, I bought the latest version of Neptune again. What a disappointment. These machines are terrible. My clothes come out a wadded up, wrinkled mess. I have tried every recommendation in the book - the wrinkle free, the steam fresh, you name it. I have never ironed more iron free clothes before. Its added hours a week to my chores and we all look a frumpled mess. I really regret my choice. Strange that I cant wait for these new machines to break down so I can justify a do-over.

My wife told me yesterday she was getting a f51 code... went on you tube and took the top off and the clothes holder out, found 1 quarter and 3 dimes... put it all back together... same thing... took the back off... hoses off, unplugged it and the allen that holds the motor had backed out... no more maytags for me... Tightened the allen, all is fine for now... my opinion, this should never ever happen... No lock washer anything engineering to prevent this from occurring... My grade: replace the engineer...

We bought a Maytag refrigerator (single-door) with a top-loading freezer that failed after four years. The freezer began to ice up and two repairmen from the company that does the extended warranty repairs in the Ottawa area were unable to figure out the problem. After the second visit, the freezer iced up again and the thermostat appeared to be failing. Even though we had an extended warranty, we just gave up and went to a different dealer to buy a new refrigerator that could be delivered within three days - and it wasnt a Maytag or any other of Whirlpools brands. If youre thinking of buying a Maytag refrigerator, you should reconsider. In fact, you should twice before buying anything made by Whirlpool.

I have always stored clean dishtowels and oven mitts in the storage drawer of my ovens (for over 50 years). I bought a new Maytag (2 days old) and was cooking in the oven tonight. I opened the drawer to get a mitt and it was on fire!! I am shocked. How dangerous is that! I looked over the manual and there is nothing that says towels cannot be stored in the drawer. It was literally on fire. I emptied the contents of the drawer into the sink. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have owned this washer for three years and the smell in the entire area of my home is getting unbearable. I have used vinegar, clorox, and washer cleaner and I always leave the door open when the washer is not in use. My other complaint is that even a small amount of bleach cannot be used on clothes without causing bleach stains because it runs directly on the clothes before enough water is in the washer. The receptacle for softener also does not dispense the softener properly. I am very disappointed in this machine.

We purchased our double free standing gas range about 6 years ago. Our top oven went out about 4 years after purchase. We purchased the extended warranty from Sears and it was fixed at no charge. About a year later, the top oven would not work again. We called Sears, our warranty was up so it would be a repair that we would have to pay for. We decided to go with the Maytag repair service since it is a Maytag appliance and we had to pay anyway. The repairman came in and said that the top box that holds the electronic in it had fried wires and it would have to be replaced. So for $480, he could replace it. It was more than likely caused by a power surge. I just read that this also coincidentally happened to someone else so I find this cause to ask more questions. I also note that the top of the oven behind the burners where there is some sort of vent gets extremely hot (I accidentally touched it and had a blister the next day) when the oven is being operated. This is directly under the box that holds the electronic components. I would think that may have something to do with the wires frying since it is that hot directly below the panel. Could this be a defect in the building of the stove? Has anyone else had this instance beside the one person that I read about on your website?

Purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 6 years ago and everything was fine until 3 weeks ago when the washer stopped spinning. We knew we were out of the 1 year warranty and contacted a repair service, who told us the bearing was no good. Contacted Maytag who offered in goodwill to pay for the parts and we would pay for the labor. A different repair person came in and told us the washer has no bearings but a transmission, which went bad. They ordered the transmission and today the repair person was in to install it. He installed the transmission, but while trying to take out the old one he dented the drum. According to my husband the repair person banged so hard that it sounded as if something could have been damaged, sure enough it was the drum. Contacted Maytag to see if anything can be done as now we still have no washer, and the repair person was their selection not ours. All we got from Maytag was they are not responsible and there is not much more they can do. I cannot believe the last Maytag product we had lasted over 20 years and this one is less than 6 years with problems. Will not purchase another of their products again.

If there was a zero star rating available, that is what I would select! We purchased this range along with a complete kitchen ensemble for a remodel of our kitchen in December of 2011. Within a few months of purchase the enamel finish started blistering, flaking and peeling. Upon contacting Whirlpool Corp about the problem through their online chatline, email, regular mail and phone, we were informed (quite rudely I might add) that Whirlpool does not warranty cosmetic deficiencies over 30 days after product purchase. This is American Quality?? Since this has occurred the retirement home we are building will have no Whirlpool Corp products in it which includes: Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Amana, Jenn-Air, Brastemp, Consul, Bauknecht, Gladiator, or any of the product lineup from the Chinese company Hefei Sanyo which they are buying. The attached photos were taken in May of 2012 and since that time the product finish has only exponentially deteriorated.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos washer/dryer in January of 2012. In October of 2013, I noticed that the lid would not close properly. In examining the lid, we discovered that the screws were in tact but the information panel on the inside of the lid had come unglued causing the lid to be obstructed from closing properly. After calling Maytag we were told that they make a quality product and, in what I consider to be a condescending reply, could not help us. Replacement of the lid with the service call would cost almost the cost of this expensive washer. So disappointed in what we thought was a wise purchase!

I purchased this washer from Lowe’s on 8/9/2017. After 3 years and 2 months, this washer would no longer power up. I tried resetting it by unplugging it and lifting lid 6 times. It didn’t work. The extended warranty from Lowe’s expired on 8/9/20. I called a technician and he found it need a control panel and control board. He suggested that I call Maytag to see if they would give me the parts as a courtesy since the washer was only three years old. I contacted them and experienced long wait times (51 minutes was the longest). I spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with them. They said no there was nothing they could do for me since the manufacturers warranty ended 2 years ago and the “mother control panel” doesn’t fall under 10-year motor warranty. Well, there’s no need for a motor warranty if there’s no power to the unit! The cost of the parts would be almost $600. It is shameful to not stand behind your product. I would expect to have to replace an iron or a juicer after 3 years, but not a washer. This was a major blow to how I would view the way they do business. I purchased the extended warranty from Lowe’s. I will never do that again. It was a waste of money. They didn’t make any concessions for me either. They kept saying it was a manufacturers issue.

I purchased this oven in April 2015. I have had nothing but problems with the unit. The temperature is off. I have had the probe replaced in July and will be done again next week (January 26, 2016). The AquaLift self-cleaning feature does not work. I ran the self-cleaning feature about 8 times and back to back on several occasions. The service providers stated that it really doesnt work and there is nothing they can do about it. The front of my oven, above the vent, is stained from the oven exhaust. They said there is nothing they can do about that either. The last service company that came out for a service call to check the oven temperature came without the proper tool to check the temperature and ended up snapping the propane line. I was given 6 month of a free extended warranty for my inconvenience and told that the company does not replace models. They will continue to come out and repair them. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again.

Bravos XL washer - I agree with others, if I won the lottery, this would be on the street in two minutes. It is a complete waste of money. Nothing comes clean. Supposed to be water efficient, well not when you have to wash everything multiple times and I have to do them in such small loads to have any hope of anything getting clean. Some clothes just never look clean. I have the same issue with all my dark things coming out with white residue and yet I use liquid detergent. I follow all the instructions and do the monthly Affresh tablet (cash grab) and still nothing is ever clean. I am SO disappointed in this machine. I thought Maytag and Whirlpool were good brands but not anymore. I also get a constant HC error and there is nothing wrong with my water lines. Just so disappointing, save your money and frustration and buy something else!!

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Washer water level sucks low at max levels kept freezing. Bought mtw7230. Its junk agitator doesnt rub good. Not like dual action agitator and when I start cycle says 34 min but I timed it takes one hour. Same goes to 1:30 to 2 hours takes 10 min for water to pour in spins for nothing. I sent it back. 965 I paid.

I had noticed the lights, such as for sanitizing cycle, hot water cycle, etc, would go out intermittently, but since the washer still ran, I was down with that. Loaded it up last Sunday, pressed the button to start and El Zippo. Nothing works. So here we go again with another crap product from Maytag. Yes, I have had this dishwasher, which was a pricier model but closeout priced, at Lowes in 2008, BUT I live alone, so how many dishes do I wash. At the same time this is the third time had a repairman out (with no help from Maytag other than trying to sell me an extended warranty for nearly $400) and these machines ought to last a lot longer than this. The part online is bad enough, $150, cant wait for the repairman to call me back tomorrow and see how much they are going to hose me for.

We have had our oven for seven years this past October 2015 and has now been down for three weeks. Last February 2015 (8 months ago) we had to replace the bake igniter because the oven would not get up to temperature. The most recent incident happened a few days after Thanksgiving (2015), I was cooking dinner and noticed that the oven was not reaching desired temperature. I then opened the door to see if it was hot inside the oven and when I did it must have ignited making a huge poof and flames came out at me! Thank God my 12-year-old daughter had walked away from cooking with me to answer the telephone because the flames came out exactly where she had been standing!!!I contacted Maytag and explained what had happened and how we could have had an explosion or someone couldve burned. The first questions they did ask me was if anyone was injured or any damage to our house?!?! I was happy for that however, it also told me that this has happened before! They called the Maytag repairman in my area and supposedly made it a priority call in which he could not come until 12/10 which was two weeks after this happened. Therefore, my husband and I contacted a different appliance man who came out and told us it was the temperature sensor. Since fixing it, the oven works ok and cooks properly however, when initially lighting/igniting it is extremely loud and makes a very large/huge poof! Its as if the oven is filling up with gas and eventually lighting! The other night when I lit it to show my husband it was so loud that it rattled the door and he immediately turned off the gas to it. I googled this and it said that its basically a mini explosion where the oven is filling with gas and then igniting! Its to the point that we could lose everything we have worked for just to make a meal! We spend over a thousand dollars on our beautiful stainless steel convect oven. Its gorgeous and when working works great however, Im petrified to use it now because Im scared to being burned or exploding! Now we start over and yesterday on Sunday I contacted the original Maytag repairman who said to call back Maytag again and hell come immediately. Maytag originally told me on the phone that they would cover labor and the service call however, ironically enough they did not write that in the dispatch order! Im outraged! What will it take before its safe for our family and home! My husband is ready to junk it and buy a GE however, we do not have the money especially before Christmas to do so. Oh and let me add that the first week we had the oven we had to call them for the window seal to be replaced because it was hanging. So now seven years after owning it and 10 months apart we are having major issues. What happens if its fixed and a year later it happens again? It could explode in our home!!! SCARED & IRATE WITH MAYTAG & WHIRLPOOL.

I have called this company several times. Most of the time, they tell you that you need to call another department...which means you spend even more time on hold. This washing machine is only 3 years old. I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool product again!

I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer three years ago. They both were taken to recycling and I received eleven dollars for both of them. They were both horrible. The transmission went out on the washer. The repairman said not worth fixing since it would cost $600.00 to repair. He said Maytag appliances are being outsourced and are not what they used to be. Even before the transmission went out it took forever to wash and the clothes smelled when I took them out of the washer. The dryer quit heating a few days after the washer went out. The repairman said it wouldnt be worth repairing it either. I will never buy another Maytag!!

After seeing all the bad reviews about Maytag I decided to write my review, we purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 1990 when moving into our new home, and we still have the same set. Now it does not have a motherboard which I feel today is the major problem with most appliances. Get away from the motherboards. Turn the machine on and off when its supposed to, or let it run its Cycles. Dont overfill, because this causes wearing motor parts. The dryer belt wore out on the dryer but that was an easy replacement. Im a woman of 64 and get it myself. Maytag I hope that you get back to the plain ol simple washer and dryer because mine is probably going to wear out which I hope not but I would so love to get the same set I got now.

I bought a Maytag 4452BDW stove, the more button is not working. I did my research and was not happy to see this is a common and reoccurring issue with Maytag Stoves. The expensive of the part that too often fails again along with the cost of the service man to repair it places the Maytag as low quality at a high price. I am hoping to see a company that stands behind its product by addressing this correctly and promptly. It would be a pleasure to have my faith restored as it should be by Maytag.

This Maytag dishwasher is beautiful inside and outside. I love that the controls are hidden. It cleans dishes very well. It has a large capacity for dishes, a rack for glasses/mugs, a small rack for cooking utensils, and a container for silverware. It is so quiet you hardly know it is working. I would highly recommend it.

I just purchased this Maytag Commercial Technology Washer and Dryer on August 31st, 2018 and We hooked it up today Sept 4th 2018. I put a small load of towels in this machine and it said it would take an hour and thirty seven minutes to wash. I added my detergent and pressed all of the necessary buttons and started the load. the machine started spinning and testing and adjusting. I waited to hear the water start to come into the washer but nothing. I then checked my water lines thinking they are not on but they were. Through the smokey glass on the washing machine, I could see water dripping as if it is hooked up to a slow drip IV Machine.I am taking this thing back ASAP!!! First thing in the morning on Sept 5th 2018 I do not need to call Maytag Customer Service because they know it is a piece of junk, so I do not need to waste a moment with this crap on my property. I see Maytag does not believe in a QUALITY ASSURANCE DEPARTMENT because that department would put a stamp of approval on this Junk for distribution.No Washing machine should take more than 30 minutes (40 mins max) to wash no clothes. I will have to invest in an old school scrub board and rocks, then I can understand an hour and thirty minutes worth of wash time. I have set the timer on my phone when I started this load and My towels have been in the washer for an hour so far and I can still hear the slow IV DRIP OF WATER going. I just checked the machine and the digital reading is saying it has an hour and thirty three minutes to go. there is no water in the tub of this washing machine. The towels are wet from the IV drip and the machine is now pretending to agitate the dirty towels but it is only going in one direction. It is truly a sad state of affairs, your hard earned money gets you nothing but junk and a runaround.

Worst product I ever purchase. I have four kids which are boys. This washer does not clean very good. I usually soak the clothes first before I put it in the washer. Never purchasing their product again. Now I am stuck with this washer because I cannot afford to purchase another one. Hate it.

Maytag gas range 5 burners. Maytag is quality. Period. I doubt that other brands are made as well. From the handle of the oven door to the ease of cleaning the burners, you wont find better for the price. I look for quality and reliability. I read reviews. A deal breaker on any major purchased would be too many bad reviews and shoddy materials or construction. This range has 3 regular burners, one large burner and one small burner. The oven shelves easily adjust from one level to another. The controls are easy to reach and the timer and bake controls are easy to operate.

I purchased a brand new MHWE450WW01 Washer and MGDE500VW2 Dryer in February. The dryer takes forever to dry something; seriously, 3 hours for jeans! The washer sounded more like a jet engine taking off. I called Brothers Main, they sent a service person who identified right away that it was a known problem and he had over 6 repairs already, but be prepared to wait up to 3 months for the replacement parts. This is ridiculous. The service center, you can never get through to them and when you do, they dont seem to care. I had a 10-year old washer that made less noise than this brand new one that I spent $1800 for.

I have the washer. It has a bad sound when changing gears like grinding and there is no way it is putting enough water in it to wash clothes. It is a very loud and noisy washer, serial c42831812.

I bought a high capacity Maytag Bravos washing machine, thinking it would be better than the ones that shred your clothes around the center post. Wrong. You still have to wrap your clothes around the edges as if there were a post, and even then the machine will become unbalanced (after much thumping and crashing), causing it to stop, which forces you to redistribute the weight, sometimes several times in one load of wash! I called the company and got nowhere -- I wont say nowhere fast because it took forever to get nowhere. I do not recommend this machine.

I have a 7-year -old Maytag dishwasher, which was not working well. I paid over $600 for extra features. Maytag contacted me that the coil had to be replaced. They sent it to me, but the repair service said that theyve sent the wrong one. When they sent the second one, the repair service came out and called Maytag, They said that my model cannot be recalled. The repair service left, and after 1/2 hour later, Maytag called me and said that the repair man has to come back and install a new coil. He came back and installed it.

We bought a new Maytag fridge in 2013, french doors, ice maker on the bottom. In 2 years we have replaced the control panel on the front door 3 times. Each time the plastic panel cracks and breaks free. The last time they replaced the entire door, all on warranty. Well 3 months later it does the exact same thing. I call Maytag and they say, fridge is past its warranty period so no coverage. It will cost me about $600 to replace this control panel.

Pump motor went out after two years and all Maytag would do was a small discount on cheaper model. We paid over $800 for the dishwasher and to fix it was over $500 plus the 5 minute service call of over $100. Very poor customer service and a lemon of a dishwasher. Now we have a GE.

We have had this washer for 1 year. I noticed right away my clothes would come out extremely wrinkled. Now not only are they wrinkled, they also smell musty. After researching I find others have the same issue, even finding a video of horrible mold under the drum. We called to have it serviced since we have a 5-year warranty. The service man recommended using Afresh. WELL, we do faithfully every month. He said they would not pay to have it cleaned, and even if he cleaned it, that the mold would come back. This to me is a major design flaw, one that could potentially make people sick. IF there is that much mold growing in the machine, with no way of cleaning it, and now the clothes are smelling, there is a HUGE issue!

I bought the Washer and Dryer. All I can say about this washer is that it does not use water enough to be considered a commercial type of washer. Its balance is poor also for being so deep. I have to pour a bit of water on the clothes so the sensor thinks it’s a heavy load and do an extra rinse. And I saw that on a video regarding this washer trick. But I’m wasting more water cause I have to rearrange the clothes when done. I put the top ones on the bottom and start over. To me it’s a waste of effort sometimes I just go to the laundromat. They should consider their products if we all are complaining about this they should really do something. To me the washer is really useless.

We bought what was supposed to be the top of the line Maytag dishwasher as part of a kitchen remodel in 2011. Well tonight it has quit working for the 3rd time! I think this is the last straw for us! Tired of spending all this money having it fixed. We also bought a Maytag microwave at the same time that has been nothing but trouble from day 1, but not as bad as the dishwasher. I can promise you we will never buy another Maytag product ever. Heck at this point, I would not accept a free Maytag machine of any kind! Stay away from Maytag!! Just to be more specific, the first time the dishwasher quit it was the board and cost us half as much as the dishwasher. I see lots of mentions of boards going out early.

Bravo XL washer and dryer - I had the washer approx 2 months before it leaked water all over the laundry room. The company replaced the washer after two weeks. Now the dryer has gone out after two years. If it cost me the amount stated by other consumers I wont be fixing it.

Our Maytag microwave, which we bought based on Maytags supposed quality, is nothing but a piece of junk. In two years it has had or needs repairs that nearly double the original cost! Thats ridiculous. We are done with Maytag and are not going to get suckered into their Whirlpool/KitchenAid or other brands. So long.

Purchased a maytag washer last yr. and I feel it is the worst washer I have ever dealt with. I hate that every time I wash somethings they come out with lint all over them and they are the same things I have washed before and never had the problem, plus I hate the cover locks so you cant put water in before you put soap in.

If you have a second floor laundry room, DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT acquire this washing machine!!! The Bravo MCT model washer is TOO loud (during spinning cycle), and for some reason, the clothes come out all tangled up. Some cycles are a waste of a cycle, and most cycles take a bit longer than my former washer. I miss the cycle choices I used to have on my former GE Profile washer (GE does not make that model anymore hence my changing brands). For the most part, clothes come out clean; thats why I give it a two-star rating instead of one. The dryer: Must dry every load in low heat so it doesnt come out extra crispy and wrinkled up. Although I generally have to run a second drying cycle, low heat does work great and the clothes come out ready to be folded/put away.

We purchased a Neptune washer/dryer combination with pedestals a few years ago. The washer vibrates so violently that I had to block it between the dryer and wall to keep it from walking across the floor during the spin cycle. We had a technician come out, and he stated that the unit just needed to be balanced. The level I used showed the washer balanced in all 4 directions. Then he said I had to balance it with the machine running to stop the vibration. That didnt work either. I had previously installed vibration dampers and the technician told me that makes the vibration worse. When is someone going to file another class action lawsuit against Maytag, as there appears to be thousands of complaints for this same washer?

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Just DONT BUY this junk. We bought the washer and dryer set from Home Depot in 2011 and have had nothing but trouble with the washer. Three times small objects like dimes, pennies and nickels got past the agitator into the drain pump which has been replaced twice. Beneath the agitator we even found a few missing socks. Today after a visit to the Laundromat, we bought a Samsung with a 5 year extended warranty. If that doesnt work it will be an old fashioned Speed Queen next. We will never buy anything Maytag again and I hope to influence everyone we meet about them. I cant wait to throw it into the city landfill for recycle dog food cans.

My Maytag MDB7609AWW2 dishwasher was purchased on 1/2010. Last month, the control board only worked on the right side of the panel and the dishwasher would not run. I called Maytag to see if this was a typical issue with the washer, which they denied. I ordered and replaced the control panel but this did not help. After reading all these posts, I do not think Maytag is being honest with their customers. Also, it looks like even if I am able to fix this issue, it is likely to repeat. I think I will cut my losses now and buy a different brand of dishwasher. I will never buy a Maytag again.

Ive had my washer and dryer since 2007. We purchased a new vacation home and it was included. I used the HD washing machines at my daughters, though hers was a front loader from a different company. Im unhappy with mine. Would not purchase one again. I find my clothes arent clean and my kitchen clothes and towels always have a residue on them. I now wash everything on warm, use the proper amount of soap and have to do heavy load cycle. Im still not happy, but it beats buying a new one.

The unit has an ice maker. On a regular basis, water would accumulate at the bottom of the freezer pan. When the bottom pan got filled up, water would run out on to my hardwood floor. I related the problem to the ice maker. Researching the problem, I learned that the ice maker has an adjustment for timing the on cycle for filling the ice tray. After several adjustments nothing changed. I ordered a water control valve and installed it. The problem persisted. I installed a water pressure regulator but the problem persisted. I installed a water filter, the problem persisted. I turned off the entire ice maker and the problem persisted. The problem wasnt the ice maker. The real problem was the defrost cycle of the evaporator. The drain for the water was plugged with ice. I made modifications to the design so I could monitor the drain hole in the back of the freezer. Will I purchase another Maytag… probably not?

I HATE this washer. It had such good reviews before I bought it, but I have never been so disappointed. Doesnt use NEARLY enough water to get anything clean, even when I try deep water wash, bedding, or power wash. You cant switch modes in the middle of a load, and if you leave it paused too long, it drains on you. Ive tried balling everything up as the manufacturer advised. I tried using less detergent, again as advised. Nothing works. Sometimes the clothes on top dont even get wet. Dont waste your money!! If I can find a way to fix my old washer, Im going to do that and throw this thing to the junk heap.

We purchased the washer and dryer set from Lowes about 5 years ago, and purchased the extended warranty fortunately for us. We had good luck with the washer for about 6 months, then we had to call problem service out because the washer filled with water but wouldnt do anything else. It took several days for the service people to come out and when they did, they had to order parts to do the repair, so we did not have a washer for a few days or a week. They got the washer fixed and everything was good for a few months, then our dryer quit working. We were told that the tub of the dryer had come off, so they had to order another one. So we were again without a dryer. Once they got the parts in the repair company that was sent out to fix our dryer, did not fix the dryer correctly so we had to call Lowes repair service to send someone out again. We have owned this set for over 4 years and once again our dyer has gone out. During all of this time, I and my Brother had to leave our job in order to be home and meet the maintenance people to fix both washer and dryer. I would not recommend this set to anyone, this is one of the worst sets that I have owned. I thought Maytag was a brand that you never had problems with, but we have had nothing but problems with this set.

I had bought Maytag Dishwasher MDBH979AWW3 in Sep. 2009. Oct 2011, the dishwasher stopped working and the control panel had to be replaced, few days later, it stopped working again and the Thermal fuse had to be replaced. Now two months later, it stopped working again. Till this point, Ive spent a lot of money on the repairs and I wish I had used that money to buy a new dishwasher. Looks like not just the Maytag dishwashers are faulty, but even the parts they have are faulty. I will not recommend any Maytag products to anyone.

I purchased this Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine at Lowes in California, MD for about $800 on April 8, 2018. What a disappointment for a Made in America product! BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT BUY! I agree 100% with the reviews and comments. This washing machine is a PIECE OF JUNK! It does not clean clothes! It does not provide enough water to get all clothes wet! All it does is shake the clothes back and forth and stays in the same order you put the clothes in. I agree with one of the reviews that it does nothing but crumple/wad the middle items together and rub them. And the clothes are DIRTY!! I will be calling Maytag 1-800-344-1274 and demand for my money back!! Lowes should STOP selling this product!

I was always impressed with the front loading spin washers commonly found in laundromats. The top loading Maytag Bravos does a great job of cleaning clothes and does not stick another door in your way when loading or unloading it.

I purchased this washer because of Maytags reputation of the repairman who was supposed to be needed less. Ha! Was that a joke? Ive only had this washer 5 years, repaired once and now it sounds like its gonna blow up. Please dont buy one… Maytag has a one year warranty, but unfortunately I didnt take one out due to their reputation. Plus its hard on the working class to come up with the extra for the extended warranty! I dont normally write reviews but thought maybe I could save someone else a little cash!

I have the Maytag Direct Drive Motor washing & dryer set the is supposed to be “commercial technology.” The washer is supposed to keep wet clothes fresh if they don’t make it to the dryer right away. After 2 years, I disagree in that it offers no better outcome than the much older machine I replaced. Furthermore the dryer cuts off leaving my clothes damp every single time, which I cannot stand. It leaves my clothes to wrinkle terribly and damp to stink if I do not collect them fast. I honestly wish I still had my old set. All the new features simply fail to measure up not to mention over complicate and add expense to repairs.

My Maytag washer and dryer (5000 Series) is about 2 years old. Just as soon as the warranty ran out, I started getting F35 and suds error messages. Information found on the internet tells me that many Maytag customers have experienced the same problem. Whats up with this Maytag? Since many of your customers have experienced the same problems, are you willing to meet the consumer in the middle by repairing the product at no cost or are you building the appliances to last as long as the warranty?

Maytag Bravo washer and dryer purchased April 2011. Dryer works fine and am pleased with results. Washer does not clean simple dirt and stains off clothing. Washer never fills to a water level that covers all the clothing. Some clothing never gets submerged, thus simple stains never get water contact throughout the cycle. I now spend more money purchasing spray stain removers and using the heavy duty cycles and extra rinses, would have been better off getting a Kenmore with an agitator. The concept does not work.

Bought this Maytag XL washer and dryer in September 2012. In January 2014, the washer stopped working. Service guy came out and said the electronics went out. Then in May 2014, the dryer died. The dryer door latch broke. Would not stay shut. 2 days later, the heating element went out. Again, the service man came out. This service man said that this model is subject to break downs. This Maytag is a piece of junk. I went out and bought a Whirlpool, which I had before. I would never buy a Maytag again. I paid over 2000.00 for this Maytag and it is the worst washer and dryer I have ever had. Apparently, the Maytag repairman needs to get his butt busy. I have the Maytag now on my sunporch, waiting for the junk man to come and get it.

Purchased a Maytag refrigerator in July 2011. The compressor failed May of 2013. After many phone calls to Maytag they replaced the parts (compressor) - my cost for labor (aprox $300.00). 30 days later, the service company had to repair a leak and recharge the system. March of 2015 the compressor failed again. Have spoken to Maytag (case # **) - they will provide no help what so ever. I was told I should have purchased an extended warranty.

I purchased the Bravos XL washer and dryer combo 2 years ago. Dryer is fine, but washer was EXTREMELY noisy from day 1 and has gone downhill since. It would leak during spin cycle and frequently stop due to unbalanced load, refill and stop again. Now it wont spin at all! We have checked to make sure it is level, it is. I live in a very rural area and its very difficult to get repairmen to come out. This is my first and last Maytag for me.

I have nothing but great reviews for my Maytag experience... In approx 1975 I purchased a Maytag W&D, Model MAH4000 MDE4000, when their advertisement was portraying Maytag repairmen as the loneliest repairmen. Maytag was so dependable that the repairman was NOT needed...and it was true... That Maytag W&D set lasted til approx 1998 when it was upgraded to the Maytag Neptune MAH4000 series... Had a minor problem with mold in the washer, but Sears and Maytag replaced the seal and made another modification... We also dried the seal at the end of the washing day and left the door slightly ajar between uses... Have not again had that problem.I have since given the Neptune set to my daughter and the washer and dryer are still in operation, WORKING SUPERBLY I might add... So I am searching for a good quality Model MAH4000 and MDE4000 to replace my current much older, yet functional Whirlpool... It may need some repairs and about a year ago, I spent $173 to replace the Pump which was clogged by a sock inadvertently stuffed around the top of the drum when too many items were pushed in at one time. I prefer not to throw additional money at this machine! So, if you know of a Quality pre-owned Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in the Lexington KY area, please contact me...

I bought this after having a Frigidaire for 40 years and was immediately disappointed upon installation. This OVEN, not a range, was smaller inside and a lot of new pans would not fit! I have replaced the burners and the bulb wiring several times. Would not buy another one!

Maytag, you left me disillusioned and disappointed. I used to believe you, trust you. How am I going to feed my kids without a fridge? I bought our side-by-side French door refrigerator a few years ago and even bought the extended warranty (which no longer is in effect, unfortunately). Yesterday, the refrigerator failed, We called a small local repair person who could be at my home in a couple of hours. He listened and said my compressor was out, a leak was probably in there too, and that it would cost about 900 dollars or more to repair. When I called Maytag to see what they thought, they said that because I called a non-Maytag assigned repair person (even though this small-business repair guy didnt even take apart the refrigerator), I could no longer get their repair plus one year warranty offer which runs 400 dollars. But there is nothing I see on their warranty page that says this. Here I was trying to help our local economy by calling a small mom-and-pop repair person who is known in our town and has a good reputation, but I guess that by doing that minor well-intentioned act, it goes against Maytag corporate policy. Wow, how foolish do I feel now? I feel ashamed to admit this, but I actually started crying when I was on the phone with their customer help rep and asked, Isnt there something that can be done? I was thinking to myself that two months after Christmas with three kids is a tough time to replace a 1300-dollar refrigerator. I offered to pay the 400 dollars to get the refrigerator fixed by a sanctioned Maytag official with their warranty, but that I didnt know that I wasnt supposed to call anyone else besides Maytag if my appliances broke down. I would have never called our small local guy if I had known that Maytag corporate had such a policy. She said that no, there was nothing that she could do, and that is what happens to customers who call a non-Maytag assigned repair person. I guess when this happens to your fridge, you ask your neighbors if they can keep some milk, lunch meat and cheese for you, at least until you can save up for another fridge. Thank goodness that dried pasta and Ragu sauce dont have to be refrigerated. There are also cans of peas and corn and dry cereal, so it should be okay.I cant express how absolutely disappointed I am with myself and with my purchase, and how this has soured me on everything Maytag. I feel like an idiot. Can you believe that I had actually scrimped and saved up for months to buy this Maytag refrigerator and the extended warranty (hah, just to be safe)? I had bought it because I thought Maytag was a reputable company and because it was supposed to help the environment with its energy saving technology. But dont you think that a $1300 refrigerator should last more than 7 years (Believe it or not, this newer Maytag fridge was replacing a 20-year-old fridge that I gave to my cousins and which is still running to this day!)? And to add insult to injury, I already had a major repair done 4 years ago on this same French door Maytag fridge when it was only 3 years old. Maytag should offer to come out and fix their mess, but all I received when I called Robin, the supervisor, at their Tennessee call center was a, Sorry, there is nothing that I can do and there is no one else that you can speak to, and Nope, there is no one at corporate that you can call for help either and I have no advice to offer you. I can give you a mailing address though, if you like. I think I did hear pity in her voice, so that was some comfort. Pity from a call center supervisor, think about that! How awful it must be for her if that is all that she can offer to the desperate people who look to her for guidance! I actually felt sorry for her after I hung up the phone. It must be terrible to know that the company that you work for is probably mistreating its customers and all that you can offer is an Im sorry. I wonder how often someone says a rosary for her and her workers taking on those endless calls for help. How often does she cry herself to sleep after a day of that?I really dont like complaining online and I rarely do it, but this experience was just so awful and hopeless that I feel I had to say something to save other people pain and money. I hope that everyone learns from my miserable Maytag mistakes and please pass on my experiences to all of your friends and family. Those big tax refund checks will be coming soon, and I know that a lot of people upgrade their appliances with that money. Please, please think twice before you buy anything Maytag. I would feel better if I knew that people could learn from my stupidity. Remarkably, I was once gullible enough to trust and believe in American-made Maytag - goodness, was I wrong to do that. My husband purchased the Bravos XL washing machine less than a year ago at Bensons Maytag in Peoria, Illinois. Within months of purchase we noticed our clothing coming out with stains they didnt have prior to washing. After hundreds of $$s of clothing ruined we realized it was due to the fabric softener dispenser. We cleaned the machine multiple times & ceased using fabric softener. No luck.Today I finally had enough & called Bensons service department. The fellow I spoke with told me, You are not supposed to use fabric softener with the Bravos XL. I asked why a $1000 washing machine would have a dispenser you were supposed to use. He told me it was because people like to use it BUT you werent supposed to use it. I asked, Why would there be a dispenser if you werent supposed to use it. He told me the salesperson should have explained it during the transaction or I should have read the owners manual more thoroughly. I asked how I needed to go about correcting the problem & he told me to clean out the machine with really, really hot water. I explained we had multiple times.He didnt have any other suggestions so I asked about setting up a service call & requested he access my information so we could verify the warranty. He confirmed the unit was under warranty. I asked to schedule service & was told there would be a $50 service call fee. I told him, I would figure that would be under warranty to which he explained it would only be under warranty if it was the machine ruining my clothes. I asked, What other reason would there be for my ruined clothes and he told me if the laundry was being ruined because I used fabric softener it would not be under warranty. So I repeated that saying So you are telling me if the machine is ruining my clothing because I used fabric softener it will not be under warranty? and he got flustered and basically said he didnt exactly say that and they couldnt confirm anything until a tech took a look at the machine. I told him I would have to speak to my husband.So this is my question... why on Earth do we have a company building $1000 washing machines WITH A FABRIC SOFTENER DISPENSER if you are not supposed to use it? I have never, ever, EVER had a washing machine do such a lousy job. I have never, ever, EVER been afraid to put clothing in a washing machine... not even in a cheap, crappy laundromat. Shame on you, Maytag!

Apparently the Maytag Bravos HE top loading washer is poorly designed. We have sparingly used this washer for approx 3 years and it began to make a horrible noise in the spin cycle and then to give us UL error codes. After searching on the internet we discovered that the seal around the main spin shaft and the bearings were bad. Inspection under the machine revealed a terrible rust and grease spot and splatters of rust and grease on underside of unit. This is a typical problem and this machine should have been recalled or at the very least repaired by Maytag for little if any cost. They now make a kit to fix this problem, but this should not happen after only 2-4 years of use on a $700+ machine. Very, very disappointed with Maytag! Customer service, of course, offered us nothing as pathetic 1 year warranty was expired. Ten year on the tub, like anything will go wrong with that.

The Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT50AWW started having problems cleaning dishes after about 3 years. I usually had to clean them first before placing in the washer. About 6 months ago (5 years of owning), some of the control panel buttons stopped working. Finally, the Start button stopped. Replacement part and service is about $400 per local appliance repair shop. They recommended buying a new dishwasher. They stated that the touch control panels have reduced the life of dishwashers to about 5 to 7 years. However, I had seen testimonials on the web of dishwashers lasting on average 9 years - not Maytags. I will be avoiding Maytag for next purchase. I have seen too many complaints online about the control panels dying. I consider myself lucky as my panel died after 5 years while many reviews say theirs died right after the 1-year warranty.

We purchased a washer and dryer two years ago. The washer got louder and louder until we realized something was wrong and we called to get it fixed. Luckily, that was within the time of the warranty. The noise, however, began getting louder and louder within a very short time. Maytag refused to fix it again. Now, the washer sounds like a jet engine and wont drain the water at all.

This Maytag Centennial with commercial technology washer has ruined a couple of thousand of dollars of clothing, maybe 10 to 12 of my favorite shirts (ripped holes around the top of the pockets), bath towels and sheets and comforters and hand knitted small blankets that can never be replaced. It tore holes in nearly everything that was made out of cotton, I was doing spring cleaning and I normally wash most of my summer clothing, but this time this washing machine destroyed nearly all my summer clothing. This washing machine came with the house I just purchased. (I gave my older Maytag washer and dryer to some needy folks which worked great when I moved here). Disappointed in MAYTAG. Will never buy another Maytag!

I bought this over the range Maytag microwave model MMV4205DH-1 5 months ago and today a hairline crack appeared alongside the door handle. I called Maytag to find out how I can get this repaired since, as time progresses, it will become worse due to using the handle to open and close the microwave. I was told this was a cosmetic warranty which expired after 30 days. They would fix it only if the microwave couldnt be opened. Apparently, the handle can become loose but as long as the door opens, they wont do anything.I bought Maytag because of their supposed reputation. Im so glad this happened with my $300 microwave as we were getting ready to replace our washer and dryer and were looking at Maytags. Good to know they dont back their products before I spend several thousand dollars on a washer and dryer. I will NEVER purchase another Maytag. My $120 generic microwave lasted 10 years and I gave it to my son and it is still going strong.

I have gone several years with wasted food at random times because my Maytag refrigerator decides to stop cooling whenever it feels like it. This is a continuing thing that started since the appliance was brand new and it has never been resolved. Maytag claims that they cant do anything about my refrigerator. They can do what they want to. From my experience, I feel like the issue is that they dont care to make it right. I am finally fed up with this refrigerator and I am buying a new one. I can guarantee that it will not be a Maytag.

I have a Maytag MEDC200XW3 model. Good price reliable and rugged. It washes all the way from my delicates to my husbands heavy fire protective clothing with no problems. Holds lots of clothes with no issues either!

We purchased a Maytag front load washer and matching dryer in 2007. In 2010, the main control board of the washer broke down. We spent $450 to replace it.In 2014, the washer stopped working. The dryer started producing horrid odor when we used it. We replaced both with LG recently. We NEVER buy or recommend Maytag products. Stay away from Maytag. There are many other reliable washers and dryers in the market. This is to help other consumers.

Nice refrigerator, but cheaply made. I paid 1800 with tax for my french door Maytag and expected higher durability. It operates well but one worries about breaking drawers made of such thin plastic.

Like everyone else Im calling corporate. Mr Fettig he should be in hall of shame after these complaints with their defective product. My fridge leaking, ice maker broken, water everywhere and eight inches of ice. I wonder if he owns a Maytag himself? Oh well after a while he might have a flood on his floor. This should be recalled just like my first model in 2001 that was a fire hazard. I had to go to the top then and I will now also. We should be protected from buying garbage while he makes 4 million a year.

Please let me know if there is a class action suit. My lower freezer froze within a year, now 2 years later same problem. Im all in, this is clearly a design defect that we are all paying for. I would have bought something else. Ridiculous product.

I purchased a top load Maytag washer the spring of 2019. My clothes come out partially dry, with a film/residue, and debris left on them. I was told that they use considerably less water; however there is not sufficient water to wash away small amounts of anything left on clothes. I have contacted Maytag 3 different times. Each time my concerns have been dismissed. The only solid advice they gave me was to use less soap, which hasnt changed anything. They also told me to clean my clothes before I put them in the washer (we have no children at home; Im not talking about really dirty loads). They told me there was nothing they could do, and I was just stuck with the washer. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and the Maytag service. I would not recommend their washer or their service. The dryer works just fine.

The machine will not fill with enough water to wet all the clothes. I have to tape the tub to trick the machine so that the clothes will all get wet. When I had a service look at the machine he said that is how they are designed to be energy efficient. Who does not getting all the clothes wet clean them??? This is not for big loads but ALL loads - even hand wash loads. Every load takes an hour plus. Less water, more time, unclean clothes. I lose all the way around. REALLY wish I had a machine with the old features.

I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2yrs at most and it is junk. I am a single mom who desperately needs my washing machine. My kids clothes get soiled, they ARE kids so I wanted a deep water fill option when looking for our newest washing machine. Well when I start a load of laundry, I can hear the water running and draining as it is filling the basin. So for 1 they get wet but not washed. Then when it gets to the rinse cycle it stops so the only option is to manually switch it over to drain and spin in order to not have sopping wet clothes, however, since the water doesnt fill, they arent being washed, the rinse cycle doesnt work so the soap is left in the clothes, then I just have to drain and spin in order to get access water out so they will dry in the dryer. Its very upsetting, I have no way to buy another washer, I assumed this costly purchase would last me a while.Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews re: their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. :( If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. :(

Well Maytag, I have to say that I am very disappointed with your washer. When I put it on the bedding setting and try to wash a big load, it barely moves the load around. If you have a regular agitator to replace this useless one that is in this new washer I would like to have one. My laundry is barely getting washed and when you look inside the washer everything that is on the top stays on the top, not like the older washers where you could see that the laundry was getting sucked down with the proper agitator.

This washer sucks so bad. Just got it a few hours ago and its absolutely horrible. The water just runs for the wash cycle. And I was told by the salesperson at Best Buy that it would save you water. Thats not the case. There is enough water to run over all the clothes. It doesnt agitate enough to even move the clothes around. The clothes basically sit at the bottom of the tub in the water doing nothing. This Maytag Bravo washer will be returned tomorrow. Me and my wife are highly disappointed. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. Weve decided to just get the old washer fixed and go from there. There are too many bad reviews for this washer to still be on the market. We feel that this was a total waste of time, energy and money.

We have had this refrigerator since January 2011. All was OK for 18 months. Then the lid to the deli drawer fell off, the plastic bar that holds the two drawers up broke (weve had to use roof shingles to prop them up) and another one of the plastic pieces crumbled. Now the ice maker wont work and the refrigerator makes a loud ticking noise. There are only two older adults here and we have not treated this appliance roughly. After reading all the complaints on this site, Im wondering if any of it is worth fixing. My GE refrigerator worked for almost 20 years.

I purchased our Maytag Dishwasher in 2014 (Model # MDB77495B) and after a little over a year, of course after the warranty had expired the panel started to act up. I did get it repaired costing over $300 for parts and service thinking all is well. The repairman that came out had to come out twice once to look at and then again to fix after the part came in. We had a conversation and he said that was common with this brand, the steam sometimes affects the panel. I spoke with Maytag about getting an extended warranty but after looking at the cost passed on it. Well now the panel is acting up again. If Maytag thinks I am going to have another repairman come out well think again. I will see how much the part cost and do it myself if it cheap enough, if not I guess Ill be back to washing dishes by hand for awhile. I bought this brand feeling that it was American made and the cost was on the expensive side that it would last. I am disappointed that this has happened again. For the money spent it should last at least 10 years. My old dishwasher that was given to me used lasted over 15 years with not one problem. Its a shame we cannot get good working appliances as we did back in the day.

Bought Maytag dishwasher 2007 at Lowes. Model mdbtt60aww-37837606ll manufactured in Benton harbor, Michigan. First got a recall that something was faulty, could cause fire, needed replacement. Took 2/3 weeks to get repaired. So couldnt use. Never quite cleaned good - many times had to rewash silverware, glasses. Never took off food unless very well rinsed. Today the control panel went. Called a local repair he said, Dont even fix. Toss and get a new one because its too costly to repair. I asked what should I get. He said no GE, they are getting out of appliances, no Samsung. Hes got whirlpool so guess Ill give that a try. In the past Ive had dishwashers 20 years, appliances 20 years. This junk lasts a year or two. Plastic cracks. None of these appliances are great anymore. Doesnt matter who you buy. Someone needs to get some quality control on what these companies are peddling .

Just purchased/used the washer. One needs water to wash clothes. I added water to the machine just to get the clothes washed. How can this pass any reviews when it does not use enough water to clean a set of sheets? Not to mention rinsing. Does anyone wash clothes in the group that designed this machine?

My husband and I bought a Bravo XL washer in the fall of 2015. I certainly wish we had read the reviews on this site of this product. We would have saved ourselves a lot of money and grief. This machine does not clean clothes and actually damages them during the spin cycle as reported by others. This low water no agitator technology does not work on a top loader. Stuff doesnt come clean! Im not sure what we are going to do but we learned a valuable lesson the hard way. We purchased this machine in September of 2015 and are unhappy with it!

I purchased both a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 2007. This is without a doubt one of the biggest mistake I have made. I have had the dryer drum and rollers replaced and the washer will no longer run. It is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. To think I bought these units for 2 reasons: 1. that Maytag are the dependability people, but its not! and 2. Energy efficiency. It is not too efficient when they are broken more than they work. The worst was when the repairman told me that I had purchased the worst product on the market. These units are in short, garbage! I will never buy another Maytag Product!

At 14 months old Main computer box failed, caused the machine to shut down on unbalanced load ($400). At 28 months old Main computer box failed, caused the machine to shut down on unbalanced load. In addition when the service guy was underneath the machine to change the module he noticed the stator housing to the motor was falling off. He said he never saw anything like it. After reading about all the problems people have with these machines I have talked friends and relatives out of making the same mistake of buying an old and trusted brand like Maytag. .

This has been the worst washer I ever bought. First the washer does not fill with water even on the deep fill function. It pours little water and washes the clothes with basically no water. The sensor for the lid broke less than six months of using it, soap residue is left on the clothes. I do not recommend this washer at all.

I love my washer. I have had it for 13 yrs and has only needed repair once. My complaint is the gasket on the tub has black mold that grows on it. I have cleaned it with bleach, bathroom cleaner, alcohol, but it always comes back. What can I do to prevent illness from mold?

We have had a Maytag dishwasher for just over a year. The control panel acts up randomly and has finally quit altogether. The design of the handle is very poor as it pulls the control panel away from the door. Will never buy a Maytag product again. This is a very clear design flaw and when we called Maytag they offered no help as we are passed the guarantee.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer with Commercial Technology, front loader in April 2012. Since then, the repair guy has been at my house three times in six months. This last repair is going to be just $800 in parts, not including any labor yet. So, I called Customer Service, and told them I was not satisfied with the repair job again, because I obviously have a lemon of a machine. Needless to say, I lost, and was told the warranty is only for repair, and not replacement. Well what happened to customer service? Its more like customer bend over, shut up and take it. So, I will get my repair at a cost of at least 1,200 bucks paid for by Maytag. Im not a business person, but if I were the company, I would think replacement of the unit would be a lot cheaper in the long run for this company and a happy customer for the future of me buying brands. Needless to say, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again, and you can thank your useless Customer Service department in Canada for that. P.S. I work for a company with over 10,000 employees. I might accidentally send out a little free publicity how this company treats loyal customers. I actually bought this brand because in the past, I was led to believe they were great . Wow, was I wrong!

Its unfortunate that Maytag expects their products to be so short lived, they wont produce parts for their appliances after 7 years. They just told me they are only required by law to make parts for their products for 7 years so thats what they do. So unfortunately, if your microwave outlives its handle, youre going to have to replace the entire appliance which will cost me almost $500. I will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool products because of this.

We bought MDB7759AWB Maytag dishwasher in 2011. It worked decently until now when it stopped delivering water to the upper rack. The cleaning quality on the lower rack also dropped significantly although it might be due to the lack of water delivery to the upper rack. Apparently there is something wrong with the internal pump. The Maytag service offered a repair for $300+ which I rejected because this is a ridiculous cost and I would rather buy a different dishwasher. My conclusion is that if you buy Maytag dishwasher you need to factor about $300+ for the repair(s) in 5 years as apparently they do when they sell you this product. Anyway, even though Maytag was a decent brand a long time ago (probably in the past century), it is not reliable anymore. It does not mean it has to be much worse than many others but if you are looking for something better than those others I would not recommend Maytag.

I have a Maytag fridge (model # 2258VEM4) which I have had for 4 years. A few months ago, it started leaking water on the floor and notice that it had a bed of ice on the floor of the freezer. Reading the list of complaints in this site for the same issue, it sounds like it is a design problem.

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I would have bought a new dishwasher for that price, but I was already in for almost $200.00. They dont give you prices upfront.

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

This is the 3rd time my Maytag refrigerator has gone out on me and its only 7 years old! Its always the same thing, my refrigerator side starts getting warmer and warmer while the freezer starts forming crystallized ice. Both times its broken down in the past it has been the defrost timer. One service man said Maytag is not the reliable company it used to be and I would be better off buying a brand from Sears (Whirlpool or Kenmore) cant remember. Anyway, each of those services was close to $300 and now Im faced with another service call. We paid $2,800 for a refrigerator we thought would last decades. Well never buy Maytag again! I wish Maytag would own up to its cheap parts and send replacements to its customers with instructions on how to install!

We bought our washer/dryer from Home Depot and felt Maytag was a good bet. Guess again. Washer is running fine for now but after light use (about 3 loads per week) dryer failed. With no warning, I heard a loud pop about 3 min into a cycle and overheating. If I hadnt been home might have caught on fire. Good for us we live close to a coin laundry so in no rush to replace but can bet when I do it wont be Maytag and thats too bad. One of the few makers still building in the USA but thinking Samsung is looking good. This is the Maytag 2000 series btw.

Refrigerator failed in less than 7 years. In August 2005, I purchased a new Maytag side-by-side refrigerator to match the Maytag appliances (stove, microwave and dishwasher) in the new house provided by builder. In October 2011, I called a repairman because of noise. The relay switch was replaced for $179. Now, I am told the compressor and defrost circuit board need to be replaced for over $700. I will never buy another Maytag appliance or Whirlpool. They make and sell crap and dont stand behind their crappy products.
