I have had KitchenAid and Whirlpool my whole life - lots of them - NEVER EVER have I had so much trouble with a washer. This front loader is the worst possible machine. My former Whirlpool was a front loader too - Never a problem. I purchased this Maytag set simply to have a matched set because our Whirlpool dryer died. This washer has to be babysat. The washer holds water and it gets musty - never ever before have I had this problem. Maytag says it is designed this way and I have to continue to buy AFFRESH (which is also very expensive). I have to use this two to three times a week and the pkg says once every 6 months - DONT DONT BUY MAYTAG. LOUSY.

Neither appliance (Neptune dryer and washer purchased in 2006) was worth the price paid. The dryer drum actually cracked and the washer repeatedly gets hung up on 3E. I called about the dryer and got an Oh, well response. “We dont know whats happened to that dryer.” What happened to both appliances is that they were used for their intended purpose. I do laundry for my husband and me. Is that too much for a Maytag? Customer service is equal to indifference. So much for Neptune. And thanks for standing behind your products. What is the life expectancy of a dryer drum anyway?

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washer/dryer - Purchased this set nearly 3 years ago from Lowes. The washing machine smells like toxic sewage. The Affresh brand cleaner no longer works. All of our towels and many of our clothing items have had to be replaced due to the stench. I surmise this is because it does not use enough water. The clothes get wrinkled badly, twisted, stretched out and torn. The dryer does not fully dry. Always had to run it again to get the items dry. Finally, it started making a horrible, loud, screeching and grinding sound. Neither the washer or dryer was quiet for long. Putting these out on my curb today for scrap metal pickup.

I purchased a Maytag range (YMER8875WS) on June 20, 2011. When I put my Christmas turkey in the oven, the rack fell! It seems the oven wall has gotten wider in the middle, so the rack doesnt stay in place. I have read several comments online about this, particularly relating to Kenmore ranges. This is a very common problem apparently caused by the oven liner bowing outwards.

I just started searching the web for information on this item due to the problem I am having. My Neptune Front Loader Model MAH55FLBWW washer makes horrible noises when on spin cycle, and is out of alignment so that the hard plastic bit around the opening is being scraped off. Some of my more delicate items have been ruined or damaged due to this. I bought the Neptune washer/dryer set with stands probably 10 years ago from Home Depot. I am sure the warranty has long since expired, and I have not contacted anyone about possible repairs. At this time, I am not financially able to do much about this. I have never had much of an issue about mold, no issues at all with the dryer, and no motherboards needing to be replaced. From reading what others have had to deal with on this site, I consider myself lucky.

I purchased a Maytag quiet series dishwasher (Model Number: MDB6759AWW) for $500.00 in May 2009. Three months later, I started experiencing difficulty with the control panel. One light would continue to blink and it would not do anything else. I called to have it repaired but by the time he was to come out, it started working again only to stop working again the next week. On 7 Oct 09, the repairman came out and replaced the panel. Then, about six months later, it stopped working again. I called again but canceled the appointment because it started working again. Then, after having it for one year, it stopped working again and I called only to be told that it was no longer under warranty. Now, we cant get the control panel to do anything. From all the other similar complaints I have read, it seems like there is a defect with the control panel. A dishwasher should last for more than one to two years. This is very frustrating.

I have been the latest victim in purchasing a Maytag Refrigerator. Something needs to be done about the defective products they are putting on the market. I received 9/7/13 (yesterday) a new Model FW: 555 Complaints and Reviews about Maytag Refrigerators bottom freezer refrigerator. After being plugged in for 3 hrs, the temp was 60 degrees.. After 8 hrs same and 24 hrs same. I lost everything because of the defect. I notified the store 3 hrs after purchasing it and because I had it delivered on a Saturday I have to wait till Monday to get this resolved. I want everyone to read before buying a Maytag product.

I am renting to own a Maytag refrigerator and it is leaking water on my floor. Runt my floor already - had to replace the floor once. Sent it back to the place where I got it for them to fix it. Paying insurance by the way that isnt worth a crap either cause they wanting to tell me that I left it open at some point or the lights was off at some point. Anyway to make a long story short they gave me the run around and didnt want to fix it. But how do you fight big companies? This was a rental company by the way rent to own so now I have 4 payments left out of 24 at 180.00 each and they still dont want to fix it. I dont know who to be madder at - the rental company or Maytag from selling this piece of junk. But by me renting to own it if any problems occurred they were suppose to fix it. Youre already paying twice the amount to get one cause of credit issues. But thats no reason to double screw someone or should I say triple cause you getting doubled the rental company alone. They need to recall this refrigerator. It has been a lot of complaint and they want to tell you to go behind the refrigerator unstop a line. Well I didnt buy this refrigerator to have to work on pulling it out from the wall every two days to do this procedure. This is crazy. Any one out there looking to buy a refrigerator my advice to you would be do your research and stay away from rental places whatever you do because you will pay twice the amount and they wont stand behind their promise either to fix it as long as you renting from them! And stay away from Maytag!!!

These machines have lots of service problems, although Im not familiar with the newer models. The function and the features are adequate, and typical. And overall, again, I have no complaints other than shortly after purchasing, there was a circuit board recall for these machines, and fortunately, I had a repairman who knew of the issue, and guided me to a cost free fix. Overall, it has served the purpose well of cleaning my clothes in a decent fashion.

I made the mistake of buying a Maytag 2 years ago, this machine would not wash clothes even when using the deep water wash. I should have looked at it closer, it is so full of modern computer garbage that I was having to wash clothes twice so the water saving was negative. I own a business across from a major shopping center so what we did was we loaded it up in one of our trucks and parked it in front of our business with a giant sign and invited people to take a look before buying one. In 6 months we must have had at least a 1000 people inquire.

We purchased our Maytag Refrigerator brand new, about 18 months ago. It always ran loud so the repairman came out during the 12 month warranty period. He told us to unplug and reset it, but that never did the trick. Eight months later, the fridge stopped cooling. We called our local repairman and he told us ($97 later) that the compressor was out. He said we should contact Maytag because the compressor should be under a 5-year warranty. Then the nightmare began. I spoke to four different reps with a total hold time of about 2 hours. Two of the reps put me on hold to get a supervisor and/or consult another rep and I was mysteriously cut off each time. One rep told me my compressor wasnt covered under warranty. The last rep I spoke to told me it was covered and he scheduled a Maytag repairman to come and replace the compressor. I was thrilled. The repairman came out and informed me that the compressor was indeed out and handed me a bill for $137. I asked why I was being billed and he said because that was the way that Maytag had ordered the service call. I told him that the Maytag rep had assured me that Maytag was covering the repair. He apologized and said that not only was I obliged to pay for the diagnosis (which I didnt need because I had already paid my local guy for the same information), but that it would cost $900 to replace the compressor. I was flabbergasted. I called Maytag and they denied all responsibility. They said that even though the rep had assured me of Maytags commitment to replace the compressor under the 5-year warranty, he had made a mistake and I wasnt actually covered. So I paid our local repairman to replace the compressor, because by that time, we had been living out of ice chests for 2 weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. Now the unit is freezing water on the bottom of the freezer and then leaking water on the floor. It is unconscionable that this company be allowed to defraud people to this extent. I will never buy a Maytag again and I would like to be informed of any class action suit. This company should be deeply, deeply ashamed of itself.

I have called numerous times and the satisfaction is out the window. The MOLD is so bad on the gasket that I can not get it off and it just keeps getting worse. My clothes smell musty even after they are washed. Really fed up... I have had different Maytags for at least 40 years and I will not purchase another one at this point. Apparently your customer service is as bad as some of your machines. My word of mouth is not good advertising for you.

I have had to put two 50 lbs sacks of feed on top of my Maytag Neptune Washer to keep it from walking in my washroom. Looks like I am not the only one with this problem.

My 20 yr old Kenmore washer broke last month so I replaced it with a Maytag I bought from Lowes. I wanted a simple washer that would maybe last 10 years. The Maytag has a sensor for everything. So you can’t fill the washer, it determines how much water to use and it never fills enough to cover the clothes. It doesn’t agitate really. It’s more like a slow on & off movement. It does everything in an on & off way. The water fill goes on & off, it “washes” on & off. Even the spin is a spin, slow to almost stop - spin again - almost stop - spin again. It also stops filling if you open the lid, I tried to let some water fill before adding clothes (so the liquid detergent could dilute a bit) but every time I opened the top there was no water in the drum, I heated the water running and the drum was wet but it wouldn’t gill at all. I think it only puts water enough to “sense” the clothes have been soaked. I will call Lowes and try to return it.

We are having the same problems with the drain clogging and bottom of the freezer filling with ice and then water all over the floor. We currently de-ice the freezer once a week. After paying top dollar for what is advertised as a top product, we expect better service. Especially when Maytag is fully aware of this problem. We sent an email of complaint to Maytag. Heard from them today. They would pay for the replacement part but not the labor. Most places around here charge $250.00 just to walk in the door!!! Is Maytag kidding?!?! NEVER AGAIN. Will also tell anyone who will listen to stay away from Maytag. No wonder they dont belong to the Consumer Resources group!!

Ive had this washer and dryer set for only a couple of years and nothing but problems. The latest is that it sounds like its going into orbit on spin cycle. I cant believe the poor quality of these appliances. Ill never buy Maytag again.

Was a Maytag washer. First one lasted one year. Second one replacement one lasted for years. But the company’s warranty is replacing this one without too much hassle. When it runs it does a good job. It’s a big load. All in all a very good washer.

I have a Maytag Performa washing machine (model no. PAVT234AWW) and called the Maytag parts department to order a plastic pulley for the main drive motor. I was told I would have to purchase the 189 dollar motor just to get the plastic pulley. After two days web searching and calling local appliance stores I found that Whirlpool who uses the same drive motor sells the pulley (part no. 21001108) for 9 dollars. The Whirlpool pulley is even made out of stronger plastic. I just wonder how many Maytag customers have had to purchase a drive motor like I was told I had to by Maytag just to fix a 9 dollar pulley. I got lucky and my problem was solved, but only because a local store happened to have this particular problem so frequently that they were able to help me out when Maytag should be the ones helping out their customers better. Thank you for your time.

I purchased the Maytag Bravo Series in August 2010. Two weeks ago, I had to replace the idler pulley on the dryer which was no easy task. Now today I was washing a load of clothes only to walk into my utility room and find it flooded. This didnt even start out as a small leak so at least you would have a warning. On the spin cycle, the washer is making a clanging sound. These were not cheap models. I paid $1600 for the set. I will never buy another Maytag product especially after reading all the complaints that people have had about this series. Why hasnt something been done to protect the consumer? I did not purchase the extended warranty as I thought Maytag sold a good product. I owned another set of Maytags that were almost 30 years old when we got rid of them and did minimal repairs over the years. We are only a household of 3. It is not like these appliances are overloaded or abused. Its very disheartening. In this economy, most dont have money to just throw away and that is what I feel like I did!

Wish I had reviewed Consumer Affairs reports. When our old Maytag stove required repairs we decided to upgrade old stove instead of putting money into old unit. Looks like a huge mistake. Not only was there a delay in receiving unit after placing order but oven will not preheat. Two weeks before Thanksgiving we were promised a working unit. Now we are only 2 days from Thanksgiving, 2 repair companies have been at home to repair. Requires new circuit board and a new regulator to repair and no promise we can obtain parts. Now I have to figure out how to feed my family for holiday. I am pretty well done and after reading other reports that they are better in junkyard I think I will try to make them take back this defective Model 8800 product. Sitting in our kitchen unusable for the holidays. Dont buy Maytag as customer service does not exist.

This washer is only two years old and does the wash for 2 people. The control board has broken down and the lid lock did too. Of course the warranty had just expired, so there is no help from the maker, Whirlpool. Save yourself a big loss and dont buy these brands. Mine is going to the dump where it belongs. Thats $500 down the drain. Do yourself a favor and get a Speed Queen.

Spent a lot of money on a Samsung washer. Will never buy that brand again. Too much money for only working for 2 years. And left clothes dirty. Had to wash clothes twice. My Maytag washer was bought with a deep water wash cycle. Totally love it. Also not a front loader.

I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

I have never owned a Maytag in my life but was told it was the best on the market. That is so wrong. I purchased my Maytag Bravos washer and it has been a nightmare. Never again will I buy a Maytag. I have replaced two belts. It never spins the clothes out. Always have to restart it to respin. It turns off in the middle of the cycles. It will take hours and hours to do one load. At this time it just puts up the minutes and counts them down...does nothing. I am just fed up with this washer. I also bought a Maytag Centennial Commercial dryer. I have replaced a belt once. I would highly recommend not buying the Maytag Bravos washer. Save yourself the headache.

We ordered a new Bravos washer and dryer at the end of November but due to delivery snafus, we did not have both until the second week of December. Just yesterday, both failed. Part of the drum on the washer ripped off, and the dryer just stopped running an hour later. I am used to getting a long life out of appliances. The old dryer was over 20 years old, and while the old washer was only 17 years old, I thought it would be nice to get a matched set.

We purchased the Maytag over the range microwave December 2014. Three months after installing it the door cracked. Maytag did replace the door and the repairman thought it might be due to the heat from the stove (huh, it was designed to go over the stove, where there will be heat). Now, six months after that, the layers of plastic on the door are separating and the piece around the control panel is cracked. Maytag agreed to replace the control panel but refuse to replace the door as it is only cosmetic (their words). So much for paying a little extra for what we thought would be a quality product. It seems to me that if something was made to go over the stove, it should be made to withstand the heat.

Gemini Twin natural gas range - I bought this range approximately 18 months ago. I thought it had all the features I needed and it looked good -- looking good is just about all it does! If you are a real cook I would suggest you avoid this range. The burner controls are preset and it is impossible to turn the flame very low if a simmering heat is required. If you are making meringues, again, the oven heat cannot be turned to a cool enough temperature. Ovens bake/broil unevenly. It takes forever to bring a pot of water to a boil, not because the flame is not hot enough, but because the pots sit far too high above the flame. Bad, bad design. Probably designed by someone who eats take-out!!

Washer stopped working, never did clean clothes. Out of warranty - some it is fix or buy a new one. DONT BUY!!

Maytag 765 Washer - What a disappointment after having a Maytag set for 2 decades only to get a new one that isnt worth much quality wise. 2 new washers in 2 weeks due to a ratcheting noise that they both have. The solution??? Have a third service call only to hear, replace it (which we did) or replace the transmission. The 3rd call coming up will be the same. What good is a new transmission going to fix it when the last 2 machines had New transmissions. Quality??? I dont think so. Oh, I had to buy the second replacement in order to get credit for the first one. This was at Lowes. Is there even a quality washer out there anymore?

I bought a Maytag dishwasher, stove and refrigerator and the dishwasher was a problem from the beginning. Repaired out twice and replaced the control panel. Seasonal residence, so the start of year 2 (this week) the control panel goes a third time. Its going to cost $387 to repair (told my elderly mother) and it turns out it was a warranty program that she purchased, not a repair estimate. She was misled as she called Maytag and they transferred her to a warranty company, and once again Maytag says theres nothing they will do. Now, Im hassled with cancelling that as well. I called Maytag and they dont stand behind their lemon of a product and said there is nothing they can do because its out of warranty (even though theyve been out twice to fix it). Do not buy a Maytag product. This is the first complaint Ive every written and I am just shocked that Maytag doesnt stand behind their product. Im informing 100s of people to not purchase Maytag and they will pass along my negative experience as well, for that, I am sure.

I purchased this product at an authorized Maytag dealer sixteen months ago (Maytag front-Loading washer, model MHWE55OWW1) for approximately $1,500. The main bearing and drum are now shot. Maytag has acknowledged that it is likely defective. Notwithstanding their conclusion, Maytag has chosen not to offer a repair or replacement. The conclusion is simply that Maytag does not make a very good product, and any prospective purchasers can expect that they will not get any customer support for their products.

Things that I have read that are true: Rips clothes/towels/sheets. No real problems with motherboard like some have stated. Bought Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer in 2009. No real problems with the dryer, HOWEVER, may with the Washer. Had the pump go out in 2/2010 to the tune of $199.20 due to a small object in the pump. The repairman said it would just take a very inexpensive part from Maytag to prevent this. In 6/2012 washer not draining, clogged pump. All right, new to HE Washers, so told to use less detergent than detergent manufacturer recommends. $79.13 to fix clogged drain. Even though being careful with items in pockets, loose buttons, etc. AGAIN had pump go in 1/13, $214.22 (same problem cheaper in 2010, repair inflation). Wed noticed it was loud on the spin cycle (like a rocket going off) and were told at that visit the bearings would need to be replaced, and quoted approximately $280 to repair those. Havent fixed, waiting for something else to go wrong and then decide what to do with it. So in 4 years paying almost the purchase price of the unit (if I fixed bearings also). Crazy. If you bought a house and had to pay 4/5 of the house to repair it in that short of a time, no one would own a house!!!

I purchased the top load Maytag Commercial Residential washer with an agitator last month. I wanted a basic washer with Hot/Warm/Cold settings, Delicate/Normal/Heavy Duty cycles, Small/Medium/Large loads. I paid over $800 for this washer and I cannot wash my whites or rags in hot water! The hot water setting dispenses hot water, then cold water, back and forth. The end result is cool water. Ive called Maytag, Ive been told that there is nothing that can be done about it, thats how theyre made to be considered HE. I asked them why they even put a hot or warm water setting on the washer.You have no control over the water level, all cycles except for normal run in a deep water setting (full drum of water), I dont know why delicates are in a deep water setting. I only wash a couple pieces of delicates together. I end up using a lot more water and detergent with this washer. I hope we dont have to conserve water in the next few years! So though this washer uses less hot water energy, it wastes a lot of water, my water bill goes up and my detergent is used up much quicker! I cannot add time to my wash cycle, (the actual washing/agitation cycle is very short - 10 minutes) it has to drain all of the water and re-start the cycle with more water! $800 is a lot of money for a washer that doesnt wash like my old cheap washer. The local store cant do anything about it and Maytag brushed me off.

Washer when using sometimes my clothes are full of soap residue. The screen did not turn on. After unplugging it for a few minutes it finally turned on. Dryer gives a warning to clean the airflow. I clean it and the error never clears. I use my swifter to clean it and I still get the error. I finally took out the screen and so far no error.

After 2 LG refs and 2 Maytag ref. fridge, I would not recommend either one. My Maytag need a new compressor. My Maytag ref only lasted for 6 years! The main circuit board failed. I decided to get a new fridge from Sears rather than going back to Home Depot. I decided to get a new fridge in Sears rather than going back to Home Depot. The extended maintenance is more expensive at at Sears. In summary, I have only been using the Sears for 3 days now. It is too early to write a review on the Sears fridge.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher, Model MBD7609AWW2 from our local (small) Sears store in late 2011. I purchased Maytag because of reputation and experience with the brand. In June 2014 the control panel failed. I replaced it myself and the dishwasher worked fine for a little over two months. Today, it has stopped working again and the control panel again has gone bad and has to be replaced. Sadly, the dishwasher is great in cleaning dishes. I have only had to rewash maybe one or two items in the time that Ive had it. I purchased Maytag because my previous dishwasher was a Maytag that lasted 20 years. Granted I did have to change the belt twice but it was an easy fix. Ive tried repeatedly to contact Maytag today but they are experiencing extremely high call volume... HA! I wonder why? The dishwasher was warrantied for a year and based on the experiences I have read about online, this model was apparently an absolute failure. No more Maytag anything for me... I guess the Maytag Repairman is bored because Maytag doesnt stand behind their appliances.... anymore...

Purchased top of the line Gemini oven a few years ago. Lower oven stopped working. Maytag repair said igniter not installed properly at factory. I contact Maytag customer service to see if they would help with repair cost. Rude response from them... basically saying anything fails after 12 months not our fault. Rejected my request without even asking details about product which model etc. Unilateral rejection. Horrible customer service. I will never purchase Maytag appliance again. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Avoid this company and their products. They do not a good product and they provide terrible customer service.

This is the most horrible washer ever. Within 3 months it would not go beyond sensing mode and never fill or wash. Tech came and fixed it... 3 times. It still happens and I have to jiggle it all around to activate it. Clothes are never clean, dog hair is never washed out... My broken old agitator machine was taken to the dump & I wish I had it back! How do the stores give this machine a good rating?? I cant do light quick washes, I have to wait forever... Our water bill is 2x higher than ever because if I dont fill the tub with deep water, the clothes dont even all get wet. Hate, hate, hate this thing.

We purchased Maytag microwave (MMV4205DH1) less than two years ago. Within the first year, the microwave would not work and we would see an Open and Close Door message. We had it repaired and now 10 months later it is doing the same thing. The cost of repairs is high--the same as a new microwave. We have been inconvenienced throughout the holidays by our broken appliance. Disappointed.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever had in my life. Machine started bouncing during the wash cycle and also the spin stopped. Never in my life have I had a machine fail on me like this one. I spent a lot of money on this. This machine should be recalled. I read up on all the complaints. Its a model #Tw6600TQ0.

I purchased this dryer in September 2011. By August 2012, one month before the warranty expires, the thermo fuse blew and the dryer would not dry; no heat. I replaced fuse and 30 days later, it blew again. I replaced it again and now, March 2013, 6 months later, the same thing; the thermo fuse blew, no heat. The vent is clean and air flow is very good. Maytag will not admit a problem. This is not an inexpensive dryer; it may be cheap, but not inexpensive. Maytag quality appears to have vanished. I have Maytag throughout the house but will think twice before purchasing Maytag again. Chinese produced parts/products are inferior. Maybe Ill look at Bosch or LG from now on.

I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... It suppose to save on your water and electric bill but no savings for me considering I have to wash items 2 or 3 times... I bought my Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set about 4 years ago when I moved into my home. The performance of the washer has always seemed mediocre. Despite using the correct HE products, clothes dont get as clean as with other washers I owned. Many times the washer becomes unbalanced, gets the UL code and I need to move my clothes around to get it running again. A few months ago, the washer started a new behavior: stopping during the initial fill cycle and displaying an F1 error. I soon figured out if I hit cancel and then start again several times, it would resume filling and proceed with the cycle. Over time, I had to repeat it more and more. I read about other complaints and suggestions on the internet and tried pulling the plug for a few minutes to reset the control panel as well as turning off the breaker to reset the machine.After troubleshooting the problem for 15 minutes or longer, the machine eventually runs. Then I can run subsequent loads with no problem. After a week or longer of doing no laundry, when I try to start the machine, I need to go through the entire process of canceling the wash load and terminating electric power to reset the machine. I have called Maytag/Whirlpool and got unsatisfactory answers. I only wash two to three loads of wash about every ten days and sometimes even less. The 800 number for Maytag was automated and would only schedule a repair without asking about the specific problem or being able to talk with a person. There was no way to cancel the service call scheduled and I had to call another 800 number to finally speak with a Whirlpool representative who tried to help me. She connected me with A&E Factory Service to cancel the service call.Both representatives stated that most likely the control board is the problem and the cost for diagnosis would be $130 plus the cost of parts, which could run from $200 to $400 since Im no longer under warranty. I canceled the service call as the cost of repair would be easily be almost half or more of the cost of purchasing a new (and different) machine. This is the electronics module, something that shouldnt be worn down or broken by use or even user error. This is an integral part of the machine and if it has a fault (which it clearly does), the manufacturer needs to stand behind it and help the consumer. The customer service manager even admitted that models with other model numbers had had similar problems and a free control board was sent to those customers. But my model was not in that range.”I had purchased a Maytag Bravos dryer at the same time as I purchased the washing machine and the dryer had a problem within a week of the warranty expiring. A service repair person came to my home to repair the dryer as it was barely a year old and I did not use it for several months that year (due to other reasons). From the volume of complaints Ive seen online, the Maytag Bravos washing machines should have been recalled and repaired or replaced free of charge.

Pretty much the same complaint as Ive read about the Maytag dishwasher control panel issue. I purchased ours in Nov. 2009, issues began in April 2011, and service call for $129 where the technician said it needs a replacement control panel. I spent another $130 for the part and warranty on this specific part. In December 2011, issues occurred again. I ordered a new control panel in January and was told 3-5 days, called after 10 days and was told it was on backorder and should be shipped sometime in March. Youd think the Maytag President would be embarrassed for producing a product like this that in my eyes has tarnished what was a reputable household brand. Not that it will do any good but I will mail a letter to the President. One positive, our kids are learning to wash dishes the way I did as a kid, by hand. I sure hope the new control panel we hope arrives in March fixes this problem for good.

I have had the Maytag Bravos washer since November 2010. This washer does not clean clothes. They are never even submerged in water. Had I known this, I would never have purchased it. The salesman at Sears surely didnt mention it. I remember being disappointed at the fact that there wasnt a washer in the place with an agitator. I am disgusted with the washer and the company. I realized that it has been over 12 months since we purchased it, but most people do not feel the need to investigate what is going on under the lid of their washer. I unfortunately assumed that the washer was going to wash! Silly me. No, it does a little spin spin and a little spritz of water (literally, thats it) and at the end, you are left with funk concentrated in the creases of your twisted up, stinky clothes. No agitator plus no water equals no clean! The smell is awful. Someone else described it best - a mildewy basement.Anyone else who is claiming that their clothes do not stink with this machine are surely being deceived by strong perfumes in their detergent and fabric softener. To get a true idea of what their clothes really smell like, they should wash a few times with a scoop of borax and no fabric softener. Then tell us how they smell. I am convinced that the entire line of HE washers is a sophisticated line of crap! They use such small amounts of detergent because that little bit of water going into it will not get any more soap out, much less sweat, dirt and lots of other nasty stuff. This may not be a big deal to other people, but it is huge to me. We have a small homestead. Our clothes get dirty. We spent several hundred dollars of hard earned money on a name we trusted and they do not care.Every load, every day, I am reminded of this fact and it infuriates me. Im not typically one to write in complaints, but as an American citizen where there is a free market (somewhat), I have an obligation. If a product is really good, the makers deserve my praise. Likewise, if the product is really bad, the makers (and refuses to compensate in any way) deserve my complaint, as do my hardworking fellow Americans shopping around for a new washer. Stay away from Maytag and if at all possible, stay away from HE machines. It is so true that they dont make them like they used to.PS: Maytag tried to blame this issue on government regulation when I called. Im sick of this passing the buck. I am fully aware of the chokehold government regulations have on business, but they only hurt small business. To act as if this is not a partnership between the government and big business (like Maytag) only adds insult to injury. Take a look at the money spent lobbying by this company. Disgusting. The good news is, any success they currently enjoy will not last.

I live in Southern Indiana and bought my appliance from Charlie Wilsons for 25 years. 3 years ago my Whirlpool washer quit filling up to full level. I decided to move it over and use for my car and pet towels. When I bought my hose in March 1999 every appliance was Whirlpool washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher. GE is made in Louisville, KY but I dislike the union.Anyway I bought a Maytag model MVWC415EW1 June 2017. Recently it started making a grinding noise when going in spin cycle, wadding cloths up and leaking black water on basement floor. Called repair shop out. I just do not have the time to repair stuff anymore. They came out $80.00 service call and tell me at least $300.00 to repair. Wait a minute. $500.00 to buy a new one over $300.00 to repair. Guess what I did? I called Maytag and complained. CASE NUMBER **. They reviewed and denied. Not a problem. I said, I guess you do not need me as a customer anymore.I have twenty year old Whirlpool washer and dryer still running, I have replaced my refrigerator (Old one in garage still running a colder than new fridge and day of the week). Bought Amana=Whirlpool and it has quit and replaced with a Whirlpool July 2019. Nothing is built like it used to be BUT we still pay as much if not more. Off I go to Charlie Wilsons to buy a $1000.00 Speed Queen washer with 7 years parts and labor warranty. Had to order it but old washer still running just not going to full mark.

Our 26 month old Maytag fridge (Model MFF2258VEM8) was the french door freezer on bottom modern style fridge. The freezer stopped working. The repair shop took the fridge away and repaired a leak (quality control issue) and then the compressor failed in a test. They wanted $700 to make a repair that would have a 90 day warranty about 1/2 the cost of the fridge. Maytag was contacted at multiple levels and they would not even provide a free compressor or provide a substantial discount on a new fridge. What a way to treat a customer who once had all major Maytag appliances in our home. We decided to get a GE Profile fridge and are very happy with it. I will never buy another Maytag appliance. I dont think it is the great company it once was years ago.

Loading is easy, operation is extremely quiet, dishes are very clean even on normal auto wash cycle. White, integrated depress buttons, full size, removable utensil baskets, upper and lower racks, top rack is manually adjustable, stainless steel tub. White front which is what we want not the ugly old metal stainless steel, usage buttons are on the upward facing edge of the door, pull down handle is nice size and very sturdy. Model is MDB8959SBW3. Even on normal auto wash cycle dishes are clean without much pre-rinsing. Purchased 10/14 from local dealer and professionally installed. So far we love it.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in July 2016. In August 2016 it broke for the first time. I was just passed my 30 day moneyback guarantee, so Sears would not take the washer back. I have had more than 10 service calls on this washer in one year. I live in a rural area, so Maytag told me I was in a non-serviceable area and would have to wait WEEKS until they found a repair person willing to come to me. I only live 40 miles from Richmond VA, where I purchased the washing machine, so imagine my shock when they told me they couldnt fix it because of my location! Ive had countless people in and out of my house, and it still does not work right. You can only do very small loads, so the perk of having an XL machine is none. But even at that, it does not properly clean anything, tangles clothes, and will leave even the cleanest items looking terrible when they come out.Ive had a new circuit board, new transmission, new bearings and gears, new balancing rods, and still, Im left with a machine that does not wash and makes terrible grinding noises. I bought the washer and matching dryer as a set, and even the dryer had to get a new circuit board put in it in the 1st 60 days! After thousands of dollars in repairs on a $1000 washer, Maytag will not admit I have a defective machine and replace it! I just ran a load of laundry and have to call Maytag yet again, because the grinding noise gets louder with every run. Do not waste your money!I would give anything to have the 29 year old set I gave away when I bought this garbage back! I have literally been on the phone with Maytag in tears because it doesnt work properly, Ive had to throw away items that would not come clean because there is not a laundromat available in the town I live in. All I want is to be able to keep my family in clean clothing and linens, doesnt seem like too much to ask.

We purchased the Bravos XL Washer (top loader) and dryer about a year ago and have had issues with it since it was installed. Please note, we live between two homes so the machines are not heavily used at all. Our $250 machine we have in our Florida home works a million times better and is several years old. We purchased at the ABC appliance store and they have sent out a technician 4 times in the first few months. Bottom line, these are just pieces of crap machines. They cannot be returned! It is really a shame for the money spent and your clothes does not get clean on any cycle. The technician told us we should use the Deep water wash for all cycles which still does not work. I bought this machine for the XL capacity but also for the delicate cycle and stains do not come out, undergarments are still dirty, white power residue from OXI is left on the clothes etc... DO NOT BUY. This would get zero stars if I could. So disappointing and frustrating. If class action suit does happen, I would want to be part if it.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Cookeville TN. In 2018. After a year it quit. The service man from the authorized dealer in Cookeville could not repair it. After numerous calls Maytag sent a service man to repair it, this took about three weeks. This washer is a Maytag industrial, it has a 5 year parts and labor warranty, and 10 years on the motors. Now it is out again, after calling Maytag, and holding on the line for an hour, finally I had to chat with someone, and they set up an appointment for about 3 days. So service company call now and says it will be another week before they can sent someone to look at it, and another week to get the parts. They also questioned my warranty. I gave high dollar for this washer, what’s happened to Maytag?

Maytag Centennial Washer - Bought washer because of brand name and was that a mistake! This is the Loudest, noisiest, banging clanking washing machine I have ever heard. Every time I do a load of laundry the washer moves a foot from the wall and I have to continually move it back. Needless to say I hover over it all the time when I do laundry. It isnt even 2 years old and we are going to go buy a new machine, AFTER looking at reviews!!!

Maytag bottom freezer / refrigerator: What a low-quality operation these guys are operating. We have a 5-year-old double door unit, which is not a cheap ticket item; and we thought that Maytag was from the days of old. The compressor failed along with ice makers and some high-use parts inside. I can understand the plastic lids and guides wearing out with heavy use, but not the compressor. I called Maytag and was directed to their proud Tennessee Service Location. It might as well be in China, where the real owners are located. She said, Oh well, we build quality units that are to last 12 years. However, they are man-made, and you cant count on that being a positive thing. What arrogance. I might get stuck with another brand from Asia. But it will never be a Maytag or any other in their family of products. The repairman is really busy these days.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer 11 months ago, and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I have had it worked on twice, and now, Sears is sending me a new one, because it is broken again. I would rather have my money back, go somewhere else, and get a new washer. I will never buy anything from Sears again. They could not send a person out for other repairs for 1 week. Then they would have to send out for parts, because the drum is peeling on the tops. So that means more time to wait for parts to come in, and the machine is not spinning out. The cycles are not washing right; sometimes, they wash a cycle 2 times.Sears does nothing but give you a runaround. And the Morrisville Vt. store manager is so rude. He was talking to me like I was stupid. Now, I have to wait 3 more days before a washer comes in from the warehouse after Sears told me it was coming on 4/24 between 9:45-11:45. Then the manager told me I could take the floor model if I want it today, which has scratches on it. I was hoping someday to buy the dryer to match the washer. But now, I do not want anything to do with the brand. I bought a Maytag refrigerator also last year. Its beautiful. Everything is in my kitchen, and I have been working on getting everything to match. I am raising my 2 grandchildren and am on a fixed income. They treat people awfully at Sears, and it is too bad Maytag works with them.

Ive always loved Maytag but this centennial makes grinding noise and doesnt wash clothes well. Even on largest setting the drum never fills all the way up with water. It adds water 8 times during wash cycle only to immediately go to drain after last add. Ive only had for approx 4 years and the 10yr warranty only covers motor and basket so be sure to understand your warranties.

So we bought the whole Maytag kitchen appliance FZ (fingerprint resistant) series suite. That was such a mistake! Id give the part numbers but I think this applies to Maytag in general as it sounds like all of their appliances suck. Ours are 1½ year old and I already want new ones. Over $3,600 for junk. We knew it was no Viking or Sub Zero but didnt expect to flush $4k down the toilet either.The microwave is an over the range type and we have it vented to the outside of the house. The vent works like crap to remove the steam when you have a large pot of water boiling on the stove top. I can put the fan on high and barely any steam goes up the vent, most of it ends up soaking the microwave door to the point where I have to towel it off. The vent will hold up a paper towel so I know its pulling air but the location of the vent in relationship to the large front burners makes it useless. And the self cleaning is as others have already stated - A joke.We bought the fingerprint resistant SS and I would rather have the fingerprints than all of the scratches. Today, and this is no BS, I had a lottery ticket on the fridge under a magnet and I pulled the ticket because I wanted to check the numbers, well I slid the paper about 4 inches while it was still on the fridge under the magnet and now we have these fine scratches everywhere I did this. It wasnt the magnet because it has a felt backer on it, I took the paper off and slid the magnet all over the place, no scratching. I cant believe a piece of paper would even leave a mark at all. This is aside from some larger scratches that someone in the house must have used a feather duster on it or something.The French door fridge is loud and the ice maker is huge! The slide out basket in the freezer always gets cockeyed and stuck like its coming off the track. To line up the door tops you have to adjust the feet on the bottom of the fridge. I have to put ours out of level to get the door tops to line up, well this makes it look terrible in the cabinet space so you have to make a choice of what is uglier - thats just bad engineering. Our old fridge (GE) you could adjust the doors right on the bottom of the door. Its like they forgot this and said, Well you can just tip it one way or another to get them to line up, ya lets put that in the manual. The dishwasher sucks, plan on rinsing everything, even the silverware doesnt come clean. No its not our water.We are so disappointed in this brand which used to be considered very good, what the heck happened? Ship manufacturing over to China? And another thing, I highly doubt this is stainless steel. I know there is ferritic and martensitic stainless that are magnetic but Id bet all of my appliances that this is just regular carbon sheet steel with some coating on it to give a stainless steel look. All except for the range, that is different and doesnt scratch like the fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. Not sure why but probably has to do with the heat so they couldnt use this junk coating, just a guess though. Anyway it doesnt matter, all of the appliances are a complete waste of money. Poor design, poor performance, poor durability, pure junk!

We too were having a water leak from the French door freezer and a sheet of ice under the freezer drawer. The repairman came and told us that it was a common problem with the French Door fridge and an easy fix. Maytag has a new P type defrost hose that doesnt freeze up. He changed the part, $149.75 bill, and no more problem. Should Maytag have let consumers know this was a part that was failing? Yes, definitely. But at least the fix was reasonably cheap.

We purchased a home one year ago. It has all Maytag appliances that were anywhere from one year old to two years old. The Neptune LE washer is not working as of today. This washer is supposed to be the top of the line, and because it is almost three years old, it is no longer under warranty. This washer will fill with water but does not spin or rinse the clothes. We paid a lot for this home and were so happy to get appliances that were all practically new. Now, we refused to have a repairman come and charge us lots of money to fix a washer that should not be broken. I have had washers run for 15 years and that was when I was washing clothes for 6 people, including cloth diapers for triplets! I will not buy any Maytag appliances. I will be getting an Amana or a Sears brand. Please, no one go buy a Maytag appliance.

My dryer is 3 years old and I have had a technician work on it 3 times in 2 weeks, replacing parts as well as screws that were not installed. The dryer is not drying clothes and resets. Yes, I clean the filter.

I have a Maytag Precision double oven 850 series. The upper oven handle does not fit snugly and has been broken 4 times. I have had to order 4 new handles because the hardware does not seem to secure the handle to the oven door. There are no problems with the lower oven door.

We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag may have been king in the 60s, but the quality of their products has tanked. Dont waste your money on their products.

We bought a top load washer and the matching dryer. A thermal switch (I think it’s called) blew in the dryer at about two years. Luckily my husband is an electrician, so he took care of that. WASHER-A little after 2 years the plastic “driver hub” stripped And the agitator has stopped working, the door is having trouble locking and it won’t spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes. I’ve ordered a new “driver hub” for $53! It is a cheap plastic part. Probably 1 cent to make in China. Robbery. This will hopefully resolve all 3 issues I’m having with the washer. They even charged me 9.99 shipping. $2000 later Maytag/Whirlpool should treat their customers like royalty. I will never ever buy another Maytag or other brands associated with Whirlpool ever again.

The way the side by side fridge/freezer is built contributed to several injuries. I am 60 tall and of normal size, and accessing anything in the side doors lower down always results in smashed head, near bleeding injuries. I am so sick and tired of it. No other fridge has done this to me. Add that to the shelves being near razor sharp. One of these days this fridge is going to land me in the hospital with a lawsuit. Most people are not 3 feet tall or 8 feet tall, thats the only way to use this fridge safely!

THIS PRODUCT IS CRAP!!!! I spend $699.00 at Home Depot, after 1/12 years the console stopped working. Maytags engineering staff should be fired!!! You stole my hard earned money. Omg I am so shocked at all the complaints about these refrigerators.. I too bought refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Lowes after a storm just about destroyed our home. I was so excited to have such a beautiful refrigerator and new kitchen...but shortly after it started freezing on the bottom of freezer and leaking all over. My new floors and kitchen cabinet are ruined. Every other day we have to break up ice and clean it out from freezer.. it still then leaks.. several family members have slipped and hurt themselves. Please if anyone knows how to get it fixed without it costing us a fortune let us know. Maytag (Whirlpool) knows it is a defect... Why will they not fix it? I cant afford a new refrigerator and shouldnt have to after only two years.. If a class action comes up.. please contact me. Shame on them...

Called serviceman to tell him the washer leaked and he said it was my fault because the door wasnt wiped properly. (There was no visible dirt because I wiped the door each time as per his instructions.) Never got it resolved. After much arguing, I gave up. Then, after the warranty, it started tearing our clothes apart. Maytag says, Nothing we can do, warranty is over. We can find you a service person other than the one who sold it to you but you have to pay. So many ruined clothes. Now I read lots of reviews with the same and worse complaints from others. They sure have gotten away with making garbage.

In July 2006, we purchased a Neptune Washer. The only problem we had with it is it does NOT spin the water out of the clothes after the wash cycle. This has been going on for about 4 years. In February 2012, we had a service person to examine the washer. According to the service person, there is nothing wrong with the washer. He said to put in clothing of the same type: All towels, all jeans, all pillowcases, etc. This is not the real world. This cost me a service call with no solution. On June 10, I called Maytag on my issues. They have no recalls or issues with this washer. They recommended another service call which I refused. I even offered the washer free of charge to the person I was talking to, but did not get a response. Never again will I purchase a product from this company.

I do not have a problem with Lowes; the problem is this crummy washer. Any digital anything is only as good as its programmer, and it seems that all digital stuff suffers from the same malady. I long for the old top loader I had 30 years ago. It actually did get the clothes cleaner and they did not smell after being washed. Plus, I could customize each load just exactly the way I wanted to with the knobs and dials. This Maytag goes to Error when adding water because I have an old well which does not supply enough water fast enough for the way it was programmed. I have to fill two two-gallon buckets and carry them to the laundry room and pour them into the washer. Every time. Hot, cold, or warm, it doesnt matter. And I, too, have to pre-wash some dirtier items. The old gasoline Maytag did a better job than this one. And this is progress!!!

Bought Maytag dryer in December 2016. Worked fine for first 3 months. Then blue coloring showed up on back of drum and came off on white clothing. Had tech come out. He took pics and send to Maytag. They said it was normal. Further talks with customer service brought statements that we caused problem by drying blue jeans. Funny we never had. They just continued to say this discoloration was normal and we did something to cause problem and nothing they could do. But at least they were sorry for our problem. Whirlpool does not stand behind products. Dont buy.

We purchased a washer and dryer, spent in the neighborhood of 1000.00 hard earned $$... extended warranty, the whole enchilada. Maytag. dependable, lonely repair man, ha.. that is just so much stuff. Well anyway it was a Centennial set. What junk. Never really worked that well to begin with. I trashed them both after exhausting all avenues to make it right. Well I got the hair to report the mess to consumer affairs and see if they are what they claim to be. This is more of a warning to all consumers.The stuff you consume today isnt worth the money you pay for it. The money isnt worth the time you spent to earn it. I am gonna try to find a old washer and rebuild it, and a dryer as well. Or just use solar. Best to keep the old stuff repaired and running. I dont know how many people I have spoken to about this problem. Our infrastructure is crumbling. A consumer based economy. Only there is not anyone to service the products we consume... pitiful. I guess my wife will be out back with a tub and washboard before it is all said and done... she will not like it, I guarantee that. I could not even begin to repair the washer. It was a computer operated board that did not work correctly from the beginning. The dude came out from the repair shop and fixed it while still under warranty. It died a slow painful death shortly after that. I disassembled it with a screwdriver and now have potatoes growing in the tub.The dryer has not met the same fate yet. It just sits there, anticipating the moment when I remove it and dissect it with a Sawzall. And I guarantee that day is coming. Do not buy anything from Maytag or its subsidiaries, think long term. We have become a bic lighter economy. I have been on the forefront of that movement. I did not realize it at the time. I do now. and for that I am sorry. I always expect something to work when I need it and if it doesnt, I try to repair it. Cannot fix this stuff now. Our home has seven Maytag appliances: an upstairs kitchen, downstairs suite and laundry room. All were brand new six years ago and what we thought to be good quality by the price we paid for them. We have lived to regret ever dropping a cent into Maytags business account, as we have had nothing but trouble with them. We dont have small kids or teenagers abusing them. Its just us and a very responsible single adult downstairs. And every time we turn around, one of them is costing us nothing but money and grief. Our first problems began with our upstairs fridge when it was only two years old. At that time, it cost us $400 and since then, it just goes on and on. Last week, our downstairs fridge quit, and today, our upstairs one quit. We have had work done on our range, as well as our washing machine and dishwasher. If you are thinking of buying a Maytag appliance, dont, unless you like to throw away your money. I couldnt believe when I looked up Consumer Reviews on Maytag appliances tonight that I would find only 1 out of 5 stars, and read all the terrible reviews written by angry consumers. Well, add me to the list because I will never buy another appliance from Maytag again, and am beginning to think its time to sell this house to get rid of these stupid, useless, pieces of ** Maytag appliances! Sorry, people, but I cant afford to keep replacing them!

MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER - Biggest mistake I have ever made, like all the other complaints, washer does not clean the clothes. This washer and dryer are in our vacation home. Only used on weekends we are there, now the washer is broken, will not spin and UL light comes on, even with no clothes in it. DO NOT BUY!!! Like others have stated, we need to start a class action lawsuit against Maytag for fraud and knowingly selling junk.

Rather than go through all the things I dont like about this washer, just read all the complaints because that is my complaints also: bearings, not enough water in tub, clothes not getting cleaned. Just check out the lint filter and see the gray and dirty lint after a load and you will see it doesnt clean the clothes. Now, the motherboard is kaput! Cycles are all screwed up. Cost is $386 for motherboard plus labor and I will not put one more cent in this piece of crap.Listening to the salesman and consumer reports on the best washer to buy. All they are concerned with is energy savings and believe me when I say that all energy savings products are a joke because you give up operating ability for the sake of energy savings-- true of refrigerators and washers, dryers, furnaces and the like. I will be buying an agitator washing machine. The saving on water are not enough to give up clean clothes.

Purchased the Maytag Aqualift self-cleaning oven and this feature doesnt work at all. I would have never have made this purchase if I knew the oven would not self clean. This technology with the water in the bottom to self clean is pathetic! I thought maybe it wasnt working and called for a repair since it was under warranty. The service man told me not to expect it to clean like a regular self-cleaning oven. But I complained that it did nothing at all! So now I have a self-cleaning oven that I have to clean myself!

Maytag Free Standing 30-inch Gas Range - In 2004 we bought our model MGR5775QDS gas range with 5-burners because it offered the most BTU variety for the price: 1 burner with a high BTU (16K), 1 with low (5K), plus 2 in mid-range (9.5K) and 1 with 12K. Within half a year of using the oven, we turned on the self-cleaning function. Big mistake. One cleaning cycle later, our oven refused to ignite. The cleaning cycle burned out the ignition unit. Cant remember if its replacement then was under warranty but the repairman said this was a COMMON PROBLEM with Maytag and we best not use it EVER. In 2014 our cleaning lady mistakenly thinking she was doing us a favor, set the self-cleaning function. Once again, the ignition unit was destroyed. This time its replacement was $350 with part and labor. One and half months later, the oven is again non-functioning. This time our repair guy said the part is a very minor, inexpensive one BUT MAYTAG IS NO LONGER MAKING IT!!! The only way well get our oven back is if he can find another model and cannibalize it to fix ours. Are we disgruntled? Yes. Would we like to see a class action suit against Maytag for knowingly manufacturing a gas range with a malfunctioning self-cleaning unit that destroys oven parts? Yes. Will we ever again buy Maytag? Not on your life. A once stellar manufacturer gone down the tubes with a growing reputation for making junk. American-made appliances mean zip these days. Thank you for nothing, Maytag.

Bought a Maytag refrigerator/freezer 18 months ago. The freezer went bad. The first repair guy said it needed a new computer board which wasnt covered. Called Maytag, they wanted another repair service to look at it. He said it needed a new evaporator. We have now spent $250 to be told the repair will cost another $500. Maytag will make a goodwill gesture because we are a nonprofit business to cover the part only so we will still be out another $300. This is unacceptable for a relatively new Maytag. Obviously they can no longer be counted on to back their equipment. Very disappointing.

Neptune 4000 washer - Worst washer EVER! Two weeks after we bought it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. They replaced the bearing parts. Only cost us 450 in labor. One year later, again the bearing but this time we insisted on full coverage. 6 months later, here we are again! Most expensive washer in the history of washers and this is a KNOWN issue - yet Maytag gets away with it while consumers foot the bill! Ridiculous! Never again will I purchase their product and make dang sure everyone I know stays away too and everyone that hears my washer is in shock that it hasnt injured something or someone. Its only a matter of time!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749AWW1) just over a year ago from Sears. I did not get an extended warranty since the appliance wasnt over $1,000 and I thought I would take my chances. Sure enough, about one month after the warranty expired, it all falls apart. There is something wrong with the control panel and I cant get anything to work. Ive been looking online and see that this is a common problem. So rather than throw more dough into the money pit, Im purchasing a new, simple, uncomplicated GE Americana washer from Home Depot for $279. I figure this will cost me less than going through the repair dance with Sears and Maytag. I will never purchase an appliance from Sears again. Ive been through the mill already with a $2,000 Jenn-Air range that has broken down five times in the past three years (2 times it was the control panel). I was lucky that I purchased the 5 year extended warranty on that one, but never, ever again will I deal with Sears.

Bought a nice looking Maytag fridge 2 years ago. For the past 6 months it has been leaking all over the kitchen floor. Most recently it has started leaking every 2 days. It is so frustrating as well as extremely dangerous! Both my younger kids have slipped and fell because of the slippery floor. We now have to keep a towel there all the time.Please let me know if there is a product recall. Not the Maytag we used to have. My parents bought all their Maytag appliances when they got married and they lasted over 30 years! This is why I bought the Maytag fridge... not sure of the quality now.

The washer that always needs repair! My first problem with my Maytag washer was that the sensor needed replacing (wont wash or spin). Since then I have had the sensor replaced and motor replaced. Today, I had to call for a service call, and was told that I have to wait over a week! Bad customer service!

Maytag dishwasher model MDB7759SAB, 1 year old and control panel will not work at all. Maytag site does not recognize model #, got part numbers off parts and cant find the parts. Looking for control panel, cant find black one and others are back ordered for weeks. After reading other peoples problems, it seems Maytag would correct the issue.

We purchased a new Maytag french door refrigerator and from day one had issues with the ice maker. After three replacements Maytag informed me that this was an inherent issues and no fix available. So we had a $2000+ refrigerator with a non-functioning ice maker. Our 20 year old Frigidaire continues to make ice with no issues. Then the control panel lights started blinking and evidently this is also a known problem and when I called Maytag to buy the part, they said SORRY we dont offer parts on our appliances over 6 years old. This is the worst piece of ** I have ever owned coupled with the lousiest customer service in the world. I will never buy another Maytag.

We purchased a complete, upper-end Maytag kitchen package from Lowes. So far, the MMV5208WS microwave has gone out 3 times; it was the magnetron all 3 times. The last time was a few weeks after the warranty ran out. After a lot of discussions with Lowes management, they then took it back and gave me choice of any brand. We picked a Samsung and have had no problems so far.As for the MDB8859AWS dishwasher, it was just stuck under the counter for the first 6 months of its life, because we were in the middle of a remodel and it wasnt plumbed in yet. Once we got it working, my wife loved it. Weve used it maybe 40-50 times since she was still hand-washing small sink-loads of dishes. A month or so out of warranty, it went out. There were no lights on the keypad and everything was dead. We thought it was the main control board, but it wasnt. Next, I tried the keypad, because Ive read many posts about these 2 things seeming to always go out on these models. I still have the fridge and stove, and hopefully they fare better than the microwave and dishwasher.What kills me is when I look at my old Maytag dishwasher and Samsung counter top microwave in the garage; both 15-20 years old and still worked just fine after getting replaced. It has never had a repair of any kind. I went out and spent $639.00 (it was on sale, the regular price was $799) on a ** dishwasher and it didnt even last a year. The microwave was close to $400, and it was on sale. I think my old Samsung microwave cost $79.99 when I bought it. You used to get what you paid for!

I wrote the below to Maytag on their FaceBook page, of course havent heard anything back from them. Adding this on since I forgot about it, I have dogs and wash their blankets often, not that theyre dirty just for the dog smell. I have to wash them on the sanitize cycle which is an 1.5 hours long because if I use the normal cycle which is only 43 minutes they come out smelling exactly the same way they went in. I saw someone else post that their mothers front loader doesnt put in enough water so Im wondering if thats what happens to mine. So wish I would have checked the reviews before buying, thought I was getting a great washer buying Maytag.This is what I wrote on their FB page: I bought a Maytag front loading washer on 5/10/16 which was delivered and set up on 5/13/16. On Wednesday 10/19/16 it stopped working, so just over 5 months from the day it was installed. I called your company on 10/20/16 for repairs, they couldnt get here until today, 10/24, so 5 days with no washer. The customer service rep had all the details on what happened and Im sure passed them along to the repair company. He ran diagnostics, said it was the drain pump which was obvious even to me, but claimed to not have one with him even though they were in stock. Cant make it back until Wednesday, so two more days with no washer. He then proceeded to tell me that the dryer had to come off (stacked on top since the washer is a front loader) before he got back, that the warranty wouldnt cover two people coming out. So Im supposed to spend more money to hire someone to come out, take off the dryer and then pay them again to come back and put it back on. I called the customer service department again and was told they dont cover installation which stacking is. She said the warranty doesnt cover stacked units, as far as I can find that isnt stated in the warranty so please let me know where that is stated in writing. So I have a just over 5-month-old washer that needs repair already (bodes well for the future doesnt it??), will be without a washer for almost a week because the repairman didnt bring the most obvious part with him (maybe wanted to be paid for two calls?) and have to pay someone else for installation so it can be fixed. So wheres the Maytag man? I am not a happy customer and will be letting as many people know as possible. Ill be in the market for other new appliances soon, will sure as hell make sure theyre not made by Maytag, Whirlpool et all.

We purchased this Maytag washer. My wife liked it at first, but after a few months she kept complaining the wash stinks, and I can also say that. I complained to my wife about the smell of our wash, especially the wash towels. The wash was turning colors and some we threw away. My wife has been complaining about all this for months and years and said she will never buy another washer like this. Then about two years ago, she was having trouble with codes coming up. We called service, but didnt get any help, so I looked on internet and found the problem with the code. I took the washer apart and cleaned the tube out and the washer worked, but every now and then my wife needs to climb over washer and unplug, let sit, then replug back in and start it to get rid of code. My wife and I are very upset with this washer!

Please let me know if there is a class action suit. My lower freezer froze within a year, now 2 years later same problem. Im all in, this is clearly a design defect that we are all paying for. I would have bought something else. Ridiculous product.

Worst experience of my life!!!! Don’t buy a Maytag washer!!! It’s agitating our clothes dry. Putting holes in clothes. We bought a warranty that’s pretty much useless. They will not replace. Only fix parts.

After reading all the reviews I realize this is a wide spread complaint. After 2 1/2 years the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher will not work. You press the keys and hope for the best. I am thinking of going to the media with my complaint. Maybe we will all get some sort of refund or upgrade.

We have owned a number of dishwashers, some cost a great deal and some were inexpensive. Our current dishwasher is a Maytag and it has proven itself to be the best dishwasher we have ever owned, not only is it quiet, it cost less to operate and cleans all dishes and utensils excellently.

At first you think wow Maytag. Have heard was the best washer. WRONG. Clothes come out dry in spots. Not washing like it should. Whoever came up with this water saver and no agitator was crazy. Clothes dont get washed properly. Give me an old school washer to where my clothes get clean. When you have to wash clothes twice makes your power bill soar through the roof. NOT GOOD MAYTAG. NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Constantly does not clean clothes, always out of balance, codes constantly come up, only 2 1/2 years old and already rusting out. No matter what you do this washer does not want to work. Has special cycles for bulky loads but try to wash 7 towels and it will dance all over floor then shut down with an unbalanced code and you have to unplug to reset then wash towels again but not use spin and have to wring out towels by hand. I cannot believe the Maytag company has not recalled this very expensive pile of junk, and their service department is very rude and not helpful at all.Also as soon as you call an appliance repair company and tell them its a Maytag Bravos they say we do not fix those, do yourself a favor and junk it and buy any other brand. I have 3 kids now grown so we have bought about 5 washers over the years and when we saw that this was supposed to save water and energy and do bigger loads we were sold. Big mistake! Whatever you do never buy any appliance from Maytag. Products are garbage, service is nonexistent, and the cost will make you boil.

Absolutely the worst washer I’ve ever had! Do not buy this washer. Even after a double rinse there is white matter left all over everything! I’ve taken photographs of my laundry after two rinses and it’s disgusting. I will be quite happy to submit the photographs at any time.

We purchased a Maytag Top Load 5.4 cu ft efficiency washing machine. May 2019. It was making a funny noise already mid October and we had 8 parts replaced. After that it completely stopped working. We have been without a working washing machine for 2 months now. The technician has been to our house 4 times. When he came on Dec 31st to replace the mother board, that didnt solve the problem. He says the washing machine can not be repaired. We have been fighting with Maytag Canada and Lowes since the beginning of December. Neither company cares. We will never own another Maytag product. The company are crooks.

Do NOT purchase a Maytag dishwasher. What happened to the Maytag repairman being so lonely. Now he has lots of company in the way of angry consumers. Purchased a Maytag dishwasher and less than a year later the control panel failed. It was still under warranty but the service person just tweaked it instead of replacing it. Now, less than a year later it has failed and will cost over $200 to replace and repair. This is disgusting.

My Maytag refrigerator (bottom freezer) is about four years old now. Since the first year, it has been freezing up. The refrigerator gets warm and the freezer stays cold. Two repairmen have looked at it, replaced the electric panel and the thermostat - neither repair fixed the problem. If you completely defrost it, it will start working again. For about three years, it would work for a few months, but now it will only run for about two weeks before freezing up again. I called Maytag when this first started happening and again recently. They say they have never heard of anyone having this problem and they are sorry. The woman said she would put my complaint in my file. I certainly would recommend that people avoid Maytag refrigerators.

Sounds wonderful. Thats what I thought when I let my son have my 20-year-old, still running older washer. I wanted a new one. It worked good for 3 years and then one night I went to throw the clothes in the dryer and its full of water. After the last rinse and spin, it filled again and stopped. So I tried it on every cycle and got the same results. I thought, No problem. We have a great, honest repairman. Ill call him the next day and hell fix it. When I called and told him what type of washer it was, he was surprised it was working at all. Seems they had a problem with water leaking into the transmission. Apparently, I was lucky that mine had worked for as long as it did. Like I said, Im lucky to have an honest repairman. He told me he could charge me to put in a new timer and solve that problem, but I shouldnt waste my money since it is just a matter of time before it goes bad. Seems they were all bad and Maytag never made good on them. Told me the smartest thing to do would just to go ahead, bite the bullet and get another. It will be here Tuesday morning. Hopefully, this will be the last one I have to buy (keeping my fingers crossed since I had hoped the Maytag was going to be the last). My old machine is still running great for my son. Over 30 years my repairman has had to fix quite a few things for me - ice makers, dishwashers and even a timer on my old washer. Thank goodness he was honest enough to not fix my washer. I dont know if there are even any Maytag products around now, but if there are, they will never get my business. I spent a fortune on a machine that should have lasted the rest of my life. Ive had childs toys that lasted longer. My advice is do not buy Maytag.

Bought a Maytag French door refrigerator MFT2976AEM01 in August 2013. Started having problems before the refrigerator was a year old. I called to get it serviced and it took 4 months to get a repairman to check it out. He fixed one part and then ordered another part that he needed which took 3 months to get. After he replaced that part the refrigerator continued to have problems. The serviceman has been out to repair my unit 6 times so far. He has no confidence in the Service Engineers from Maytag. They recommended yet another part be replaced, however now Maytag will not cover the parts cost.They offered to let me buy a new fridge at a discount. After spending about $2700 in August 2013, I dont have the $ to spend again for a refrigerator. My refrigerator is so loud it has been waking me up for about a month now and I am sick and tired of it. Shame on Maytag for having such terrible customer service! I will never ever ever recommend a Maytag because this has been a nightmare!

I have been very disappointed with the 2017 model of Maytag washer and dryer as the washer does not clean the clothes as it should. There is the inner part taken out with no agitator and I believe that is the reason that the clothes comes out not white or cleans as I am use to it being before with my other machines. I think they need to reinstall the agitator to clean the clothing thoroughly. The dryer takes longer to dry the clothing and it uses more hydro which cost a lot more monthly for us to have to pay out. I will never purchase another washer and dryer as this in the future.

Ten years ago I bought a very expensive set of Maytag Neptune Washer MAH5500BWW and dryer units with the single all-in-one pedestal. The washer starts sounding like a freight train during the fast spin dry cycle. A service tech came out, turned it on, listened, told me it is bad outer tub bearings going bad. And the price to fix is $846. Its essentially a throw-it-away deal. The tech says he has done hundreds of these and its a 3-hour major tear down, the bearings are press fitted and you essentially buy a new outer tub instead of replacing the bearings in the old one. Maytag went out of business and was bought by Whirlpool. What a piece of crap and to think how great Maytag once was. Now I have a dryer and a pedestal that probably wont fit any other washer brand.

It’s really quiet and it cleans the dishes, pots, glasses on just 1 cycle and I’ve had it loaded more than one time. I do use rinse aid and I do occasionally use dishwasher cleaner. I wouldn’t own angry other than a Maytag dishwasher. They last forever. The commercial about calling a Maytag service man is true! I’ve never had to call fior service! Well worth the money!
