I bought Tapan gas stove last year, but all your ranges have a problem. Whenever we clean the range, it never goes straight stay up ,even when I bought from Lowes Store and I told them they said that defect from manufacturer. You have to correct your manufacturers defect, I want an answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

Same issue as everyone else. After about 15 months the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher model#MDBH979SAM1 has malfunctioned. First it would only let me choose the rinse option but now all the lights are turning on and the dishwasher will not stop washing but yet the dishes are still dirty. I called Maytag and they quoted me 249.00 to fix the issue. But if its a common problem with this make and model why do I have to pay to replace the panel. They should recall this model or replace the panel with an updated one that wont have the same issues! I cant imagine paying 249.99 every year to replace this panel that seems to malfunction no matter what you do!!! I paid around 550.00 at the home Depot for this dishwasher! It did not even last me two years!!! I want a lawsuit filed against this company and I want my money back or my dishwasher replaced with one that works and wont have the same issues!!!

I bought my Bravos x washer and dryer set three years ago. Ive never been happy with them. You have to put the washer setting on bulky to even wash a normal sized load and they still dont come clean. Only three years old and Ive had problem after problem with the washer. As Im typing this I have a full load of clothes in the washer that will not wash, its full of water and wont even drain and spin. PLUS the lid wont unlock. So aggravated.

Our new refrigerator was pissing all over the kitchen floor. We had to disconnect the ice maker after an alleged repair part was supplied. (We had to pay a plumber to install it.) It didnt work, so we finally had to disconnect all the parts related to the ice maker. Here it is July, and ice cubes would really be appreciated right now. I get angry when I see all the Maytag commercials that pop up on the internet!

In the process of self cleaning mode, oven died with door locked. Thermostat and thermal fuse went out, couldnt get oven door open or control the situation in any way except pray for no fire and wait for hours till oven cooled down. Door could not be opened, it died in lock mode. Called repairman, already in to 2 repair bills, still not operating. Called Whirlpool and Maytag, no help!! But amazingly they have created a new kit for the blower unit in this oven, model # Mew7527AW00. I paid a bunch of money for this oven, which replaced a 40 yr. old oven that had been in its place, operating fine, but it was Aqua Blue!! Its so sad that a huge Company as this will not help with an almost new Oven??

We bought our refrigerator 14 months ago and it has a 10 yr limited parts warranty. Both the freezer and refrigerator quit working, right after we spent $600 in groceries. I called the warranty dept and the soonest they could get here to service it, was 9 days later cause they only go thru Diamond Preferred, to do the repairs. Then on the 9th day, Diamond Preferred calls to let us know that unfortunately, they cant get here to fix it until another 5 DAYS!! Two weeks with NO refrigerator and freezer, is ridiculous. They should pay another repair place to come out instead of just relying on the ONE!! Our food is now ruined, $600 worth. And to top it off, weve had to eat out costing us more money, and then once its finally fixed, we have to go buy more groceries. I will NEVER buy a Maytag appliance, ever again!

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased a Maytag brand washer and dryer set. So far, we are thrilled with our purchase. We got front load units that have an XL barrel so we can use it to wash comforters and larger loads. I have washed many loads and so far, havent noticed a longer time to wash or any issues. I love the fact that my clothes are all getting equally as clean and I can be sure that my items will not be torn or ripped in the process. I would recommend this product to anyone.

One baffle broke off in my washer. Very disappointed in this Maytag Model #MHWE201YW00 Serial #HL20102420. I purchased this in Sept 2012. Where the baffle was hooked on had sharp fins sticking out that ruined my 2 small rugs - shredded them.

Had a Maytag Dishwasher that was recalled in 2007 model # DWU9962AAE. I was sent a notice of recall and when I contacted the Maytag staff in the Recall department said that they were sending out a replacement as the unit. Mine was being recalled due to defects in the heater element, which could cause electrical failure and fire. I was pleased they were offering to replace the unit, and within a week or so, a new unit was delivered. This is where the troubles began... the delivery/install person from a local retailer, complained the entire time about having to do this job, was ill-equipped to perform the install, twice he thought he would have to stop as he did not have the correct tools he shared with me. I felt this was odd, if this is the job he did all the time? I asked for a bill of sale or something that would show that this unit had a warranty, and date of install. I was told that in these cases, the local retailer that is contracted to install takes care of all that. I did get the Dishwasher use and care guide, and it seemed like new unit. I had never had a recalled unit of a major appliance. Also since Maytag had my address, phone and email information as they set the install up. I believed the installer. Fast forward to about 2009 and the control panel on the door starts to lose cycles. I decided that since it was just me using the unit and the cycles I used most worked I would not bother with the repair.Fast forward to late October of this year 2015. The dishwasher Maytag model # MDB9601AWW finally does not turn on any longer... I call Sears to have an estimate for repair of the circuit board in the door. I give Sears the model and serial number... and schedule an appointment. The repairman gives me a cost of roughly $600 to replace the circuit board in the door! I tell him no thanks pay $ 59.00 and decide I will buy a new unit... I review many sources such as consumer reports, where it becomes evident that Maytag as a brand is not very reliable. At that point I decide to call Maytag and speak to them about my issues. Two dishwashers in very short order have issues. Also my new unit only had a one year warranty.So much to my surprise when I called Maytag I was informed they did not have any records of my contact information at my current address..? And worse there was a recall on my current dishwasher back in 2010! I was never informed of this, and had used a potentially hazardous appliance for 5 years with no knowledge of this! How could that be though since I was given my current unit by them in 2007. I was very unhappy at this point.... but my disappointment with Maytag was about to deepen.I was also not happy with Sears Home Repair.... They are informed about all product recalls, and had my model and serial number. When those were entered into their computers when I made the appointment and again when the repairman came out and captured that information on my dishwasher himself that should have alerted him to the recall. Not an opportunity to sell me a $ 600 repair that did not even address the defect for the which the recall was issued.So I am now routed to the Maytag recall department.... where all they offer me is a $ 150 coupon for an expensive Maytag dishwasher? So after explaining my situation... and asking the woman I was on the phone with If she would invest $400 or 500 more dollars in Maytag dishwashers, given my experience with 3 failures of their products in two separate units that were not that old? She said she understood. She arranged for her manager Carol to call me the next day at 9:00 am PST. The call never came, and two hours later when I called in they tried to tell me it would be another 24-48 hours before she could return my call? I was now very unhappy. I asked to speak with her supervisor Tim. He too was unavailable, finally after a very long time waiting on hold. I was connected with Amber. I explained again my issues and told Amber that I would like another Maytag Dishwasher to be offered to me..... as this was a very unique set of circumstances... She was willing to let me write letters like this and contact the Consumer Products Safety Commission and lodge a complaint. I am waiting to be contacted by the manager that handles recalls from Maytag. She alleged that they CPSC does not allow the Mfg to assign specific compensation to individuals. That is true....when they are only subject to one failure as part of the recall.... according to the woman I spoke with at the CPSC. However I had not only that complaint; but the circuit board issue and as goodwill gesture to any consumer they (CPSC) have no jurisdiction.... and Maytag could do as they wish. However I doubt anyone but Amber a low level manager, who took it upon herself to make this decision on her own, without even punting to her boss Tim when I shared my story. I just this last weekend bought a new Bosch dishwasher.... and would caution anyone who was considering the purchase of any Maytag appliance of any kind to use my experience as a cautionary tale.

Maytag Top-loading washer MVWP475EWO - I just want to comment on how engineers have made our washing machines worse instead of better. I had to replace my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine - and did try a new one of that brand, but had the dealer take it back. It had so little water when it ran and was a piece of junk. Anyway, replaced it with the Maytag and it too has the water saving feature (which I understand all of them do) but I have to put it on the bulky setting all the time to even get the water to at least cover the clothes. The clothes just barely, if at all, actually move! They sort of rotate a little at a very slow speed. Boy, maybe this was the time to try a front loader so the clothes at least moved a little in the machine! I am so disappointed in how all the machines are manufactured now. One dealer told me I would like the Speed Queen, but it would take five weeks to get one. Thought this Maytag might do the trick, but now Im stuck with it anyway. It does not spin the clothes out nearly so well as my old Cabrio did. The clothes are pretty wet! So, another fine engineering feature. I wish the engineers would be the ones that actually did some laundry so they would see how bad the machines are. My daughter has three young boys and theres no way this would clean the clothes for her. I told her she should be glad her machine is still working. The dealer was very nice about it when I returned the other one, but it seems all the machines arent really made to clean clothes anymore.

My husband and I purchased both a Maytag washer MVWX655DW1 and dryer MEDX655DW1 less than 3 years ago from Sears. We had both the washer and dryer professionally installed. Yesterday, we had an authorized service man come in and look at the problems we were having. He told us our Maytag washer would need a new gear case and gears costing $750.Our Dryer, same age, needed a new cycling thermostat. He said it was due to not cleaning out the lint trap. My husband and clean the lint trap after every load religiously. He said there was a pile of lint built up in the dryer. I could only think this would be a design flaw. To repair the dryer it would cost $350. The grand total to repair our Maytag Washer and Dryers would be $1100. We paid $1082.38 at Sears for both. The only thing Maytag offered to cover was a part for the washer which would cost $640 and we would need to pay the extra $110 for service in addition the $150 diagnostic charge, due to use being out of our one year warranty.We decided to not fix this machine to avoid similar problems in the future. I talked to customer service and asked them to cover the diagnostic charge instead of sending the part, which is far more costly. I got the runaround and 3 rejections before they finally agreed to pay for the diagnostic charge. My husband and I are extremely disappointed in this experience. We currently own a Maytag Microwave and Electric Glass Top Range. We will never buy Maytag again. Our Stove is also lacking. We have the AquaLift cleaning stove. The AquaLift technology does not work.

A 14-month-old cabinet dryer required a new motor. I was promised delivery in 3/4 days. Following several calls, all of which resulted in the delivery date being extended to over eight weeks, the same engineer called to install the new motor. He refused to do it as the surrounding paneling had not been removed to give him access to the cabinet. It took another four days for him to return after we called in our builder to remove the panel--three screws and four-minute work. I asked for the warranty to be extended, by way of recognition of Maytags awful service. My request was rejected out of hand and the reasons do not accord with the chronological evidence I hold. I am about to bring a claim in the local County Court.

I bought Bravos xl. I hate it! Everything about it. It does not get my clothes clean and it ties load in knots therefore being off balance constantly.

I purchased my dishwasher exactly two years ago. We are empty nesters so it has had light use. Today, when I tried to start it, the control panel would not work. Thanks to what I found in your site. I will not take a day off of work to wait for a repairman only to have it fail a second time. It is hard for me to believe a company that builds its reputation on a bored repairman would produce a product with a faulty control panel and not do something about it. Like your other folks, I will never buy another Maytag product and will not the waste the money to repair it. I am going out tomorrow to buy another dishwasher and throw this one away.

I have gone several years with wasted food at random times because my Maytag refrigerator decides to stop cooling whenever it feels like it. This is a continuing thing that started since the appliance was brand new and it has never been resolved. Maytag claims that they cant do anything about my refrigerator. They can do what they want to. From my experience, I feel like the issue is that they dont care to make it right. I am finally fed up with this refrigerator and I am buying a new one. I can guarantee that it will not be a Maytag.

Our oven is 3 years old and the last time I used the self clean option caused the control panel to malfunction. Now we have to buy a new panel. The repair guy online advises people not to use the self clean as this is a common problem!!! What? I cant use that feature? That is so ridiculous!!! Now we have to pay $300. Whatever happened to the Maytag claim to quality and you would never see a Maytag repair man? Something needs to be done about the problem of appliances and electronics being so poorly made and basically disposable.

Top of the line $1300 Maytag Maxima MGD8100DW probably rusted much earlier before I noticed. After all how many times you check the drum of brand new top of the line dryer?? Manufacturer says not covered. Not sure but already this brand new model has been discontinued, so the manufacturer i.e. Maytag or Whirlpool take your pick found out about the defective design/part but now does not want to honor the warranty ridiculous. And one of the main selling points was made in USA (which turned out to be only assembled in USA), and the consumer reports which gave good rating but they were duped too.

After 1.5 years, our Maytag bottom freezer ref has started leaking water on the floor. There is a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer, and ice in the slots on the back wall. This sounds like a frozen moisture drain. This seems to be a common problem. There should be a recall.

If the control panel light on your Ice2O refrigerator starts flashing you will learn about the Non-Customer Service of Maytag. The problem is the High Voltage Control Board. Maytag has been aware of this defective part since 2007. At one time Maytag was fixing these at no cost to the customer via a recall. Then conveniently in 2011 the Japanese tsunami wiped out the only plant in the universe that manufactures the part.Now out of the goodness of Maytag’s corporate heart they offer the customer $300 off of a $2300 replacement (Oh, I am so grateful). It is time for Maytag (Whirlpool) to accept responsibility for a defective product and recall this refrigerator with a replacement. In the meantime if you have this problem, my advice is to go out a buy a non-Maytag/Whirlpool product since Maytag/Whirlpool cannot be trusted to stand behind their products. Please share this post with family and friends to prevent others from experiencing Non-Customer Service.

A few weeks after I purchased my Maytag MEDC300 dryer in April 26, 2009, I noticed it gradually did not dry as hot as when I first used it but the element did not go out totally until April 2011. Now its November 2011 and the element is out again. Maytag is sending a service man, of course I have to wait until Monday, I am now inconvenienced 2 times in a year.Theres also what appears to be a burn mark on the back of the drum. Two years ago, I paid more than $400.00 for this thing and when it does work, you have to run it over and over again to dry your clothes. Wow! really energy efficient. What a piece of junk! I had my old dryer 10 years before an element went out. I did buy the Lowes protection plan that was sold with a No Lemon Policy. If the product requires more than 3 repairs for the same failure, theyll replace it, it says in the front of the brochure.In the small print on the back, it states 3 repairs for the same failure in one year. These companies are making money off us consumers who buy Maytag because of the name and what is supposed to be quality, and are ripped off by these insurance programs that say one thing but another in the small print. Big business is nothing more than robbers who get away with robbing the hardworking American people. When is it going to stop?

I bought this dishwasher from Sears on Tuesday July 15, 2014. It was delivered on Friday July 18, 2014. On Friday July 25, 2014 two plastic clips that hold the top rack on broke, and one whole side of the top rack fell down. I called the 1-800 # in the book. Then I called the repairman they recommended. He came out on the Monday July 28, 2014. By the time he got here, the clip on the other side broke. Now the rack was hanging by one plastic clip. While waiting for these parts, the last clip broke and the rack was completely detached. So he received the parts on Friday Aug. 1, 2014. When he arrived, lo and behold, they sent the wrong parts. He had the side tracks that hold the rack, not the cheap plastic clips that attach it to the racks. So I have had my new dishwasher 14 days, and have been able to use it a total of 4 times before it failed. I am now awaiting the new parts. The parts that broke are made from a cheap thin plastic, and this is expected to hold up the entire top rack and the dishes its holding.

I bought this washer about 6 months ago and I seem to get clothes that just arent clean and have marks on my dress pants and my whites are awfully dingy. Never have I ever had white things that didnt stay white. I honestly would never buy this type of washer again. I am actually hoping that there is a way to at least change the water level. Also I hate the fact that I cant add bleach to the water before the clothes and to let the bin fill and mix correctly. I dont think the bleach even gets to the clothes.

MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR SAFETY ISSUE SHARP EDGE Maytag refrigerator model MRT118FFZ01 purchased Feb.2018. There is a safety issue, sharp edges. Maytag has been aware of this for over 1yr from customer reviews. I went to consumer affairs.com and there are numerous complaints on products/customer service. I have been asking for a replacement door since Feb. On Sept. 7th I cut the palm of my hand on sharp edge, drew blood, no stitches but I was very upset. Called Maytag, transferred to the safety dept. sent out service tech. He reported that it was a safety issue, very sharp edge, he had to put duct tape on corner to prevent any more injuries! He requested that new doors(freezer&refrigerator door) only be sent, I do not want/need the whole unit replaced. Freezer door has sharp edge also. I have numerous emails to/from corporate office begging since Feb. for a new doors so that this would not happen! Maytags solution is to buy back refrigerator or I should pick another model. Neither is a solution for me. I picked this model for a reason. I asked them to provide me with the simplest solution which is to contact factory where it is made, red flag it, talk to manager, quality control check to see that there are no sharp edges before it is shipped to me. They refuse to do that 1 simple common courtesy, customer service request! They cannot guarantee that door will come without a sharp edge! My model is not the only 1 with this problem. I talked to salesman & model in store has sharp edge & in the reviews the same model had sharp edge which was submitted over 1yr ago! So Maytag has been aware of this safety issue for some time now but chooses to do nothing about it! I chose Whirlpool because of the name, I thought it stood for quality & above all excellent customer service. Was I wrong, found that out thru numerous phone/email conversations. They just dont care! Is it too much to ask Maytag to give me a refrigerator with no safety issues?!!! I have talked to Aaron in the corporate office, he was no help at all. His # 866-817-5404 ext **. I have all the emails to/from him. Please help, I want this same refrigerator, only model that would work for me. Now that I have had personal injury & have spent so much time/effort, aggravation since Feb. trying to have them do the right thing I feel that I am due monetary compensation. Bottom line this complaint is concerning a safety issue & horrible customer service from the call center to corporate offices! The Maytag name isnt what it used to be known for, quality & service.

We bought ALL new Maytag appliances for our home when we rebuilt after it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. We got the top of the line of every appliance. Our Maytag dryer model MDE2706AYW has broke for the 2nd time and cost to repair this time forces me to replace it. The dryer felts, idler pulley and belt went out several weeks ago. Used it about a week and the drum quit turning. The repair tech said the aluminum pulley for the belt on the motor is broke. The pulley is not serviced/available and you have to buy a new motor assembly. This puts repair price on up there where replacing the dryer is the only option. We are going shopping for a new dryer today. It wont be a Maytag.2 years ago, our Maytag washer broke. The repair tech said the transmission went out and it would cost less to replace the washer than to try and repair the Maytag washer. We bought a new washer, different brand. About 3 years ago, we had to have our Maytag dishwasher control panel replaced and 2 months later the pump housing broke. Repair tech said cost more to repair than new. Replaced with different brand.Shortly out of warranty, our Maytag Microwave broke. Everything worked except it would not heat anything. The repair tech said cost more to fix than new. Replaced with different brand. All we have left is the refrigerator which has had 2 expensive repairs done on it and the stove which has had the control board and several heating elements changed. I will never buy another Maytag product.

I bought this dishwasher since my last one, Whirlpool, gave out at three years (garbage motor from Korea) thinking this would be a quality product made in USA. Well after about 6 months into usage and under warranty, the circuit board went out! The repairman assured my wife that it was rare to replace it on a Maytag. Now 9 months later, out of warranty, the circuit board goes out again! I know what it is, I can fix it, but will Maytag work on fixing to get a better circuit board? No! The US government is a puppet to all these companies that keep getting bigger and fatter! I say buy foreign products! Enough of these fat companies buy the competition out and giving the US public no option. Preston E. Tucker said it best: You let the big guys push the little guys out of the game and you will end up with garbage for products! Do yourselves a favor, buy Bosch, LG or Samsung. I know their products are not better but just maybe, someone in these corporate offices will see that to sell in the USA, you have to sell quality again!

My model has 2 ovens which I love. A smaller one & a regular sized one. It also has a cooktop. The cooktop always has “marks” on it from the pots & pans. No matter how careful we are, the pots leave marks. We even bought new pots & they leave marks. Something that we do like is that 2 of the burners have “select a size” so these burners can be used for small or larger pots.

We purchased our Maytag washer about four years ago. I love the features, but occasionally we have clothes rip in the machine. We have had it serviced only once for maintenance. It is great with the large capacity. I can wash bedding including quilts and sheets in one wash. Makes laundry day a breeze for a large family!

MODEL: MFI2265XEM1 - ice maker dispenser leaked water while under warranty; took two separate technician trips to repair. Several months later, called Maytag regarding leak and ice at bottom. Technician replaced w/ grommet w/ larger dia drain tube extension; smaller dia causing backup of water & ice. Now, ice maker quit working completely, ice buildup in bottom part of refrigerator and freezer building up frost which means air is getting into the freezer, and yes, the freezer door is completely shut! Please advise if there is a class action suit. Will contact California Attorney Generals office.

I purchased these appliances on 02-10-16 from Home Depot in Loganville Ga., for almost $2000.00. I filed the first repair call less than 3 weeks after delivery. The sensor panel was bad and had to be replaced. Now 8 months later the washer is not starting, AGAIN. The dryer will only dry one load a day or you get the AF code. This means that the dryer cannot push air over 5 or so and we need to have a vent booster fan (an additional $200.00) installed plus have an electrician run a new outlet. I returned to Home Depot with my complaint. Feeling that I have an inferior product, they tried to get Maytag to make it right. Maytag refused to offer any solutions whatsoever. Home Depot refunded a little over $300.00 for my inconvenience.The washer is an absolute ill-conceived piece of junk. It is ROUGH on clothing and does not remove soap. I started out with brand new (expensive) towels when I purchased this machine and 8 months later all of the hems have been snatched off and theyre unraveling and falling apart and are slowly becoming car wash towels.You cannot wash delicates in this machine and allow it to spin. Underwires in bras are badly misshaped or broken completely. You cannot wear them afterwards without being gouged by bent wires. The only way around this is to take away the spin cycle, but you better be ready with a clean garbage can to haul the dripping clothes elsewhere and hung up to drip dry. The washer has NEVER removed all of the soap from bed sheets. I have a dark gray set that show the soap best. Now I have to wash once with soap then wash again with no soap. This negates the machines being efficient.Unfortunately, I found the negative reviews AFTER buying the machine. My complaints are well known to Maytag, seeing has to how the same complaints are found online as far back as 8 years ago. I have been brand loyal for 30+ years to Whirlpool and thought that I was moving up with a Maytag, based on my parents 50 year experience... I was wrong! I will never purchase another Maytag product nor Whirlpool since Whirlpool now owns Maytag. I have researched and am of the opinion that Speed Queen is a far better product and plan to junk this set and replace them with Speed Queen.

Purchased my microwave in 2005 and seldom used it. However in the last few months, the halogen light which lights up the range surface has been flickering. When I asked an electrician doing other work around my house to repair it, he discovered that the halogen light is attached with a dual pin socket which is plastic. When the halogen light gets overheated (and halogen produces alight of heat) it melts the plastic. It has already melted some of the plastic socket. When it fails to operate, I will have to repair the light socket which will be very expensive or buy a new microwave. This microwave cost $800 or more because it offered convection cooking which I have seldom used.This is what is presumed quality appliance? Plus I added the cost of an extended warranty.

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Not a good value for the money!! That was the first time and last time I buy a Maytag... Thats the last $5000 they will get from us!

Bought Maytag Neptune Washer/Dryer set and had trouble with the washer from the beginning. It seemed gentle, but ATE my finer clothing, even on the gentle cycle. But the biggest issue was with the Dryer. I had it a little over 6 months & when I turned it on it made a noise, like an earthquake or the rapture was upon us. Got nowhere with the rep & warranty info, & based on the other reviews on here & the fact I really needed my dryer I called a serviceman from my area & thought Id just bite the bullet since its a set and hopefully this was just a fluke. After two house calls, I ended up paying over $500 for a new drum, & was furious. Ive had the cheapest, crappiest washer/dryers from when I was a poor college student that held up YEARS better than this!!! Didnt have the money or means to buy and transport a new or new(er) set & get rid of this JUNK in my laundry room, so, I just hoped I could buy some time. Hmmmph. You know, its almost as if Maytag actually WORKED to make these foul up! And they care NOTHING about customer service or fixing THEIR MESS either. My washer eats many of my items, but the WORST is the Dryer. It comes on when it feels like it, and when it doesnt - well, it will take a break and determine on its own accord whenever siesta time is over --- could be a day, but has been up to three or four days before it suddenly starts working again. This was the worst purchase Ive made in a while. Guess when the next time I purchase anything labelled Maytag will be. Yep the rapture will be sooner.

I have a Maytag refrigerator that is 7 years old. It works fine except it needs a new freezer door gasket. In trying to get the part so it can be repaired I discovered that they had chosen to discontinue production of this part. I can no longer get it anywhere. They were the most unhelpful customer service I have ever worked with. They refused to try to find a part for another model that may work. They refused to offer a discount on a replacement product. They even refused to give me a phone number to talk to management. I had always been a loyal customer to their brand prior to this but I will never again purchase a Whirlpool or Maytag product. I dont expect not to have an issue but I do expect the ability to be supported in obtaining a commonly replaced part for a major appliance that is less than 10 years old.

Maytag used to make a great laundry machine. The barrel of the Bravos XL machine is very deep, and it is difficult to reach the bottom of the machine to get clothes out. My biggest complaint is that the clothes dont get clean; there is not enough water filling the machine to clean the clothes. The clothes get wet, but there is no agitator, and the water isnt deep enough to suspend the dirt and wash it away, even on the deep wash setting. There is also a lot of lint left on the clothes that cant rinse off. Why is the barrel of the machine so deep if it only fills up 1/6 of the height? I had great hopes, but I really regret buying it.

Absolutely the worst washer I’ve ever had! Do not buy this washer. Even after a double rinse there is white matter left all over everything! I’ve taken photographs of my laundry after two rinses and it’s disgusting. I will be quite happy to submit the photographs at any time.

I have only had this machine a few months and am completely dissatisfied. It sounds like a jet taking off and uses so little water. The clothing does not come clean and wrinkles are close to impossible to iron out.

We purchased washer at Sears 6 years ago. Have had same issues for 5 or more years. Sears has been out to check it 6 to 7 times! They clean it out, tell me to use (expensive) Affresh tablets monthly, problem solved but it never is! When we run our washer and walk in laundry room it smells like a sewer. If we open lid its even worse. I use Norwex all naturally, biodegradable laundry detergent. There is nothing Ive done to create this smell. Its a manufactured problem that probably relates to ALL the other issues with this crappie washer that Maytag will do nothing about. I called Sears for 7th or 8th time, said they could send someone out AGAIN, I said thats a waste of my time and yours. They told me to call Maytag. They wont do anything (warranty is up). Of course there are NO ISSUES OR RECALLS on this washer and obviously there should be with not ONE good review! Im angry. You all should be too. We paid good $ for a product that used to have a good name and they are screwing us. I think we should ban together with a class action lawsuit. Please give me your thoughts. They know something isnt right and they shouldnt get away with this.

I have had this refrigerator for a few years and never have had a problem. It keeps food uniformly cold, and is frost free. While appearance is attractive, it doesnt look like a $3,000 refrigerator. However, black pebbled-surface exterior is easy to clean and scratch-resistant. Plastic and glass interior fittings also have held up very well. I originally thought it would be too small because I was buying it to fit a certain space in the kitchen. But it has turned out to be just the right size because there is no wasted space inside. I bought this at Home Depot on sale for about $400.00 and it has turned out to be an excellent buy. Delivery was on time, efficient, and people were polite and helpful. Refrigerator was ready to be used about 15 minutes after delivery arrived. I have found Maytag appliances to be extremely reliable and made to last. They have never disappointed me. I will continue to buy them. I highly recommend it.

I had to rate at least a one star because there isn’t a negative to rate. We bought the Maytag mvwb955fc1. First off it doesn’t clean our clothes. I can not get stains out or whites bright. I don’t feel it uses enough water. I put a full load in and it only fills up less than half with water. I try half loads and still not clean. It’s always shutting off when I wash sheets. Indicating it’s off balance. Today I started it before work and the lid exploded. I don’t think I want to even replace it at all. This could have seriously hurt someone. Do not buy this washing machine. The dryer is great so far. I wish I could post a photo to show you all.

We bought Maytag dishwasher and Fridge and Whirlpool stove, the dishwasher, front panel came apart, the seal leak, the motor make a serious grinding noise, wheel on the interior racks were broken off easily. All of these parts will not be changed under the extended warranty by King & State, Whirlpool do not want to respond to our request for follow up. Neither is Leons Store where we bought these appliances. Only after 4 years of normal use.... Think about it! Kitchen Aid, Amana, Maytag, Whirlpool, latest Kenmore same products. BBB is not helping resolving these issues, their method is wait and see. Stay away from those companies. My clothes come out extremely wrinkled and start piling after a couple of washes. I wash on cold and do not overload the machine. I am 64 years old and had always loved Maytag until I got this set 4 years ago.

I purchased a new Maytag top loader at Home Depot. They delivered and set up. From the first load, I have had problems with the washer stopping and jerking. Clothing becomes a tangled mess. I contacted Maytag, they suggested I make sure I put on proper setting for the items within the washer. I do not know how one can fail at putting sheets in the washer and putting the setting on sheets and they are so twisted you have to spend time pulling them apart. This happens to almost everything I wash. I believe that I have a lemon, still under warranty, Maytag believes I should pay for a house call. Home Depot will only forward the information to me that Maytag gives to them.

The last Maytag washer was great, the dryer not so much, but I was able to repair it. This Bravos is sorry. 4 years old and the tube goes bad is not what you would expect from Maytag. Consequences, no more Maytag or GE for that matter, that dont leave many brands to choose from.

I purchased a Maytag dryer #MEDB400VQ for $715.48 along with a 5-year warranty for $119.99 on March 30/2012. Since then, the dryer has broken six times. Our warranty stated that after it breaks 3 times, we would get a new dryer. All claims for a new dryer have been denied. The dryer is still broken, going on 10 days, only to find out that parts needed are on back order for two more weeks. This is unacceptable! I will never ever buy a Maytag again and will tell all family and friends my story so they do not purchase a Maytag and go through the hell that Maytag has put my family of five through!

I bought a Maytag range (MET-8775) last year, because my wife loves to bake and wanted the double oven. The oven never did brown properly, despite trying different temperatures and cookware. So, I called the 1-800 number in the manual. I was told they would have a technician come out and check it, and they assured me it was under warranty. The technician arrived, and since it was close to the end of the warranty period, I showed him the receipt for purchase. I got another assurance that this visit was covered by the warranty, before anything was actually done. Well, he checked it out and eventually calibrated the temperature. That helped a little, but still, it doesnt brown very well. About a month later, I got an invoice from the service company that dispatched the tech telling me Maytag will not cover the visit under warranty. After a long call with Maytag (now Whirlpool, I believe), I was told that since the calibration instructions were in the manual, it wasnt covered! Well, why wasnt the thing calibrated to begin with? And your average customer is expected to have an accurate thermometer/gauge to set it and know whether the temp is off or not? Why was I told twice that it would be covered? If either the lady on the 1-800 line or the tech who came had told me this wasnt covered, I would have argued a case right then. As it turned out, I had no choice but to get billed for something I was assured was covered. And as I said, it still doesnt brown right; and we had tried different temperatures before. We are preparing a major kitchen remodel, and its hard to believe that Maytag/Whirlpool would so thoroughly piss off a customer and potential future customer over an $80.00 service call.

Maytag model MBF1958XEQ1 frost build up and ice build up bottom freezer 2011 model. Recently refrigerator not able to stay cold. Contacted Associated Service Corp. because my fridge had a ten year warranty on the compressor only. It cost me $377 dollars to have a service tech change the circuit board and remove a rubber drain valve that was blocking the excess water drain to the evaporator tray. It is working well now but will keep looking for ice build up.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo XL washer in 2015 under the understanding it has a 10 year warranty. Well it’s 2020 and it starting leaking. Called customer service and lost 3hours of my life waiting for a person. Keep in mind I’m pretty handy and work on spa, and pools. And can troubleshoot things like this. I found the problem on our washer looked up the part and number.When I finally got a person on the phone they wanted to send a technician out to verify what is wrong with it. I was all for that but then they said it would cost $100. I said no because I already know what’s wrong and just need the part so I could fix it. I knew the labor would not be covered under warranty so that’s why I didn’t really need the tech to come. After a few minutes Maytag finally says the unit is. It covered under warranty at all. I asked yes it is because it’s literally written all over the washer it has a 10year warranty. So then Maytag goes to say they only cover the drum and motor for 10 years.So now I’m stuck with a washer that leaks that was sold to us under the pretense of a 10year warranty for parts. And now having to buy $280 worth of parts and shipping to fix it. Maytag advertises that they have the best warranty and they never break as their commercials imply. WARNING FIRE/HEALTH HAZARD - BRAVOS MVWX500XW1. Purchased it new 2011. Never cleaned well. Some clothes came out with dry spots, darks had soap scum/lint spots over them. On several occasions, clothes were not wrung out properly. BUT when I went to do a load of laundry recently, I heard a loud POP and almost instantly my entire basement filled with an acrid, dense grey smoke coming from under the machine. I am concerned toxic chemicals were released. People still smell the odor in the house. Need to get in touch with company again after the weekend to see what they will suggest.

I have to agree with all these other reviews. This washer twists clothes and does not wash them at all. If you open the lid mid cycle you will see dry clothes on top... Isnt that the whole purpose of a washer? WTF. Steer clear of Maytag. They realize that theyre selling washes to Generation Xers and they can get away with it because we were the first throwaway generation. Great business plan Maytag!

This review is for a Maytag Gemini MGT8775XW 30 Freestanding Double-Oven Gas Range w/ 5 Burners. I cannot believe the amount of problems I have had from this $2000+ range. Within just a few weeks of getting it, the paint started scratching off the surfaces nearest the heat. Then, the plastic cover over the digital display and controls bubbled up due to the heat of the broiler being in use. They designed it so that the heat escapes from the oven right in front of the control panel, so when you want to adjust temperatures on the control panel, you chance getting burnt from the hot air every time.The very worst design are the manual knobs for the burners on the front. They are at an angle, and if you look at the oven straight on, you see they are higher than the burner surface. A hot pan that overhangs the burner cooks the knobs. The plastic interior of the knob lacks any kind of heat resistance and actually starts to turn soft, keeping you from being able to turn off the burner at all!Most dangerous of all, the knobs are frighteningly easy to bump, pouring gas into your house. We have had this problem multiple times. Today, my dog must have wanted to investigate the top of the stove, because when I came home, the burner was on, had burnt through a pot on the stove, and was just at the ignition point for an item sitting next to the stove. If I had come home 15 minutes later, my house would be in flames right now. I am having to air out my home as I type this. I am DONE with this dangerous oven and will be shopping for a new one, and it certainly wont be Maytag.

I purchased a front load washer over 2 year ago and the bearing on it has gone bad. Maytag jumped at offering to ship the parts to me at no cost (which at the time I thought was great). I waited 3 months to finally get the part, because it was on back order, and now was just hit with the labor bill! I bought this washer on 6-29-14, should have returned it within my 30 days but kept thinking it will get better, NO. I actually like to use water to wash my clothes!! I bought a Maytag refrigerator model MBB1953XEW three weeks ago. According to its features on the Maytag website, its supposed to be quiet (QuietSeries 100 sound package). Ha ha, make me laugh. Its the noisiest refrigerator Ive ever had. The repair guy checked it out this morning. He spent about 5 minutes running some sort of test with the help of his iPad. He then told me everything was perfectly alright, the noise was normal for a Maytag, and that I was going to get used to it.Needless to say, he had a totally condescending attitude. Its the first time I ever bought a Maytag. Previously, I had a General Electric that was noisy but not as much as the new Maytag. Prior to that, I had a good old Kenmore that was perfectly alright but that I had to give away for other reasons. We bought a Maytag gas range in Feb of 2011. Shortly after that, we started having an intermittent problem with the oven not maintaining the temperature. It sometimes would not heat up to the proper temp or sometimes would get there but not maintain it. We have had several service calls all for this same problem. Each time they would replace things... nothing worked! We called Maytag and they said they wouldnt replace the unit until the same part had failed 3 times. Well, the service company came out 5-6 different times in the first year and replacing the main panel twice and the sensor and some other thingies I dont even remember. Pretty soon the warranty was running out, so I bought an extended warranty due to the fact that the unit had never been fixed. They sent out two different service companies who also were unable to fix the unit. It is now 18 months since we bought it, and Maytag refuses to do anything since it is out of warranty and the extended warranty company will only replace the unit up to 75% of its cost. So yes, we are very angry with Maytag and the way they wont stand behind their product and their total disregard for their customers.

I have had the fridge 3 years and 2/3 shelves have crumbled to pieces, the compressor has gone, the ice bucket crumbled, the ice maker stopped working, once ice maker was fixed it got stuck on crush, and now I am trying to order another shelf because it has also crumbled like the rest and this is in a household of 1 person! I am just getting the run around... I purchased a Maytag self-cleaning stove in early 2009. Right away, the oven floor finish started to bubble up. I called Maytag service and was told the part wasnt covered. I let it go since it wasnt interfering with the function of the oven. However, in Feb 2012, the oven started turning off in temps above 350. I called Maytag service again and was told that since I didnt purchase an extended warranty, I would have to pay for the service call, parts and labor. I complained that I never expected their product to break down in less than three years.I had a private oven service look at it and was told the computer part was the problem and would cost almost $300 to replace; or I could just live with an oven that didnt go above 350 and buy a new one when it broke completely. We purchased a Maytag Centennial washing machine from a local business here in Knoxville in 2013. My previous Maytag lasted seven+ years and I was very happy with it. It began to leak water and after two times of having water on the floor, we decided it had worn out and purchased another washer. We immediately wanted another Maytag since our previous one has lasted for quite a while. We bought the new Maytag Centennial washing machine in the Spring of 2011. This is May of 2013 and we have had to purchase another washing machine since the electrical board in ours went out. The replacement part is listed at $300+ and that is without labor to install. Needless to say, I am very unhappy that I have had to purchase another washer so soon... and did not buy a Maytag this time.

We too bought a Maytag range (MER5755QAW) approximately 5 years ago. While making Christmas dinner, it quit working. The oven would not heat. Too bad it had to quit that day (or at all for that matter). Unfortunately, every single appliance I bought for my house 5 years ago is a Maytag appliance! The microwave quit last month and I have yet to replace it. I bought Maytag because for the longest time it was such a positive household brand name. Unfortunately, with 2 appliances less than 5 years old and out of warranty, I will never purchase one of their products again! I will spend the extra money and go with LG especially after reading some of the reviews on here on Maytag’s products (there are over 192 complaints on the Maytag ranges and ovens alone on this one forum).

Ive had this Maytag for more than 15 years and it still works well. Its a basic fridge, no special features. Just keeps food cold or frozen. Freezer at top, fruit & veggie bins at bottom, cheese bin. No problems, good performance.

We have had the same problem as everyone else. We have the freezer on the bottom model. It started when the fridge was less than a year old, with water on the floor and ice buildup on the bottom of the freezer. Since then we have needed to have same repairman come at least 4 times because the top part suddenly gets very warm, food spoils, and water accumulates under the produce drawers. Our repairman has told us that newer models have improved design, but that doesnt help us. This fridge is now about 3 years old, bought it at Home Depot. This is unacceptable.

After purchasing this washer in 2007, the washer started to smell like sewage. At first we werent sure it was the washer and had a company come out to check the pipes. After this and calling Maytag complaining without any luck. We were told to buy affresh tablets and run it through the washer once a month. This last only so long and the smell comes back. The washer and dryer were purchased together as a set 4 years ago in 2010. There have been times where I actually had clothes come from the washer completely and partially dry due to lack of water inside the washer! It fills based on how many clothes are in the washer or capacity that it senses. I have had so many clothes dry washed and torn up due to its use! If you set the washer to the wrinkle control position it does not go through the last rinse and spin cycle, you must reset it to the rinse, drain, spin cycle again in order to finish processing that load.It has already thrown its belt 2 times! Which my husband had to fix since we could not get in touch with anyone at Maytag who knew what we were talking about! If change gets stuck inside the washer bin in the little groove in the tank it is very difficult to get out, Im sure everyone has washed a pair of pants with the change still in the pockets, yes I know this is user error but if you dont know the change is in the little grooves because you cant see them, it stops the washer! So be sure to search this every time you do laundry!The dryer has a mind of its own! Sometimes it will finish drying your clothes, sometimes it wont finish the time set! Theres no reason just doesnt finish! There is so many reasons I will never purchase this brand again. Ive run out of room and patience. My clothes look like Im homeless!

Dishes did not get clean. Bowls would stand up when you placed them in the dishwasher, then fall over when the door closed and came out dirty. The rims of glasses were not clean. I had several 3 service calls and changed dishwasher soap several times per their suggestions. I contacted Maytag and was told that the only warranty was for mechanical problems and since the problem was not mechanical there was no warranty. I then went through the Better Business Bureau. The ultimate decision from Whirlpool was It has been determined there are no defects with the dishwasher and the issue is use and care. Mrs. **s request for a refund is respectfully denied. I have purchased a new dishwasher which does clean the dishes and the Maytag is sitting in my garage gathering dust.

We have had our Maytag double oven for about 5 years. 18 months ago two of the burner knobs froze off. You cannot turn them. We had oven repaired - they replaced part WPW 10204705 - it cost us approx. $400 to repair. Here we are today and ANOTHER burner know has frozen in the off position. I will have to pay again to have this repaired. We are super disappointed with this over and with Maytag. We would never purchase from them again.

I purchase my first glass top stove; a Maytag. It came with a 10 year warranty on all elements and the glass top. As this is a first glass top I read through all instructions, there appeared no real warnings on what to do to maintain the glass; or rather what would damage or void a warranty. I simmered some maple syrup, and as it so often does when reaching the proper temperature, it boiled over. On a regular burner, one just uses a little elbow grease and your stove is returned its previous state. This actually pitted the glass, and as the warranty people at Maytag informed me voided the warranty, and seriously weakened the glass top suggesting it would be likely to break. Seriously?????? All of us boil stuff over on the stove top from time to time, and this damages the glass top and voids a warranty??? VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maytags product and their warranty.

350.00 dollars for repair on a 3 1/2 year old washing machine. Machine wont finish spinning and lid lock keeps flashing on and off and sometimes stays off. Never finishes spinning. A lot of complaints on this! This should be recalled! Always was a Maytag customer but no more!

Perfect for me. It would be better if I had a space to put it without adjacent walls. Mine sits with the refrigerator door against a wall and I have to pull it out to the door space to open it wide enough to pull out the drawers to take them out for cleaning. Otherwise, it has worked very well for me by myself, for me and my husband when he was alive and for my son and his family and myself, and he has 5 children.

Purchased our side-by-side stainless steel refrigerator. After about three months, we too have a constant puddle of water outside the bottom freezer door. Maytag came out for the first year it was under warranty, each time saying it was fixed. Its still not fixed and its been three years. We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 in June 09. The dryer timer has malfunctioned since shortly after purchase, it will add time near the end of the cycle, sometimes as much as an hour or more. We have had factory authorized repair firms (tried several) attempt to fix the problem both during the original warranty and extended warranty periods. They replaced the mother board twice and the moisture sensor on another occasion. All to no avail. Maytag has been worse than useless in the whole situation, and now will do nothing. It seems our only choice is to live with it, keep replacing parts, hasnt helped yet, or buy a new dryer. You can bet it will not be a Maytag!This situation is dangerous, if left unattended when the malfunction occurs the clothes and interior of the dryer get extremely hot. It is a potential fire hazard.

I have a Maytag Precision double oven 850 series. The upper oven handle does not fit snugly and has been broken 4 times. I have had to order 4 new handles because the hardware does not seem to secure the handle to the oven door. There are no problems with the lower oven door.

We bought our Maytag Neptune washer in 2005. We chose Maytag because of their reputation, their headquarters in Michigan, and because looking at the machines in the store, they seemed to be well built. Were we ever wrong! You would think paying $1000 for a machine would get you a product that lasts longer than 8 years! Our other washer (a Whirlpool) lasted 20 years and was still working. Im now consistently getting a 3e error code. In searching online, I found that this is a pretty universal problem and thought maybe Maytag had a recall on it. What a waste of valuable time. I did find out the machine was actually a Samsung. This seems like fraud. If I wanted a Samsung, thats what I would have purchased! Contacting Maytag Customer Service was like Land of the Stupid. After getting the runaround and being sent to a phone number and website that only covered Samsung I called Maytag again. I was put in contact with another person who could supposedly help me with the recall. Even though I told him what the problem was, he gave me the robot response about sending the GFCI plugin and told me, That should make your washer safe to operate. Seriously??? I replied, This wont fix the problem because THE WASHER DOESNT WORK and we got the recall part long ago. He then wanted to schedule a repair appointment. Not doing that, considering how stupid the Maytag reps I had talked to so far had been. Putting the hubby on the case, luckily hes pretty handy. On the upside, it was fun responding to the Maytag customer service survey that night, LOL. All of our other appliances are Maytag and they have all been great, but this washer is an unreliable piece of junk.

Not only is the dryer junk, so is Maytag support and service. I have owned this dryer for 2 years; my previous dryers lasted about 20 years each. This one is on its 4th service call, none of which are apparently under warranty (well, except the first one). From what the techs who come out here tell me, the design and build are both poor. I will never own another one of these; if I can stretch it out one more year, then well replace it.For now, the drum wont turn. There is a nylon support bushing (and possibly more) that degrades immediately upon use. There are only two of us, with about 3-4 loads per week. This was supposed to be Commercial Technology. The only thing commercial about it is that you have to rely on commercial laundries to get the drying done. It is good that the drum has a 10 year warranty - it will make a nice planter out by the front gate.

Before you purchase a Maytag washing machine...from anywhere (I got mine at Home Depot), think again. This machine doesnt wash clothes, it doesnt rinse clothing. What it does is takes forever to fill up the tub then it doesnt even come close to filling it to where all the clothing is covered for rinsing or washing, then it just stops and sits there for a few minutes (??) and then it proceeds to empty the tub and youre supposed to feel like your clothes were cleaned.Not in a million years will your clothing get cleaned in a Maytag washing machine. Youve been warned...dont waste your money. Go to a used appliance shop, but the best one they have that does NOT have the Govt. regs built into it, and be happy you saved as much money and did NOT have to go through all the frustration and hassle everyone else has that bought a new Maytag washing machine.

I paid a lot of money for this washer. It was recommended by a service guy from Sears. It is only 3 years old. I dont think it cleans well at all. Energy efficiency? Not seen on this machine at all. It takes at least an hour for a cycle. It is super loud on the spin cycle. Now it is leaking and has that stagnant odor that front loaders get. Really! Waste of money. Will never buy a Maytag again.

I purchased an automatic dishwasher for $660.00 on or about Aug of 2007 (Mod #MDB6759AWS3 ser # NY3417703). It was a model about to be discontinued however still carried the full one year warranty. After install one year and 28 days it failed. The tech described a faulty computer board and a replacement cost of $885.00, a cost of $215.00 more than it originally cost!! They did offer a warranty of one year after we installed the new part but at a cost of $215.00 more than we originally paid! Maytag promotes their brand as reliable. However I dispute this claim.

We bought a Maytag Gemini double oven in June 2007. It has been a problem from day one. It arrived with a damaged door. They reordered and replaced it. Through the next few months, I became very discouraged with the oven. I bake a good bit and was always used to an oven with fairly accurate temperature. This oven will not reach or sometimes just wont maintain a steady temperature. After a couple of service calls, I gave up. I now raise the temperature setting about 50-75 degrees higher that the recipe requires. Naturally, I dont always get the best results. However, that isnt the thing that really bothers me. These ovens have three ignitors. About every six months, one breaks. The cost is over $200.00 each time. The ovens/broiler are highly unreliable. After mixing up something or on an important holiday, one may find that the oven wont light. Theres no warning! It is simply gone. I will never again buy a Maytag! I called Maytag and questioned them about the lemon law. I was told that the same piece had to break three times in one year. That is crazy, when the entire thing doesnt and has never worked well.

Bought a Maytag front load washer. When it is operating it is very loud. Some parts of the washer are made of cheap plastic. The Optimum detergent dispenser also of cheap plastic failed after 1 month. Disappointed in finding out only the outside metal box was made in America. All inside components are made in China which raised the cost $300 due to recent tariffs.

We bought the Maytag Aqualift cooktop about a year ago & are continuously dissatisfied with it, for several reasons: 1) the cooktop is a huge nuisance to cook on. The burners are either raging hot (causing boil-overs), or too cool to simmer. The boil-overs then require much cleaning with an expensive cleaning agent. 2) the oven, whether you use regular or convection, underheats - so you can’t tell how long the cooking or baking process will take, & you have to monitor the cooking process. 3) the so-called self-clean is a joke; the oven will not be clean unless you crawl inside & clean it manually. Overall, I’d prefer to toss this range in the trash. I’m a good cook, but I get angry every time I use this expensive, poorly- designed product.

Everything in my house is Maytag. I assumed they were the best. My dishwasher went out after three years, and I replaced it with a Maytag. Now, my over the range microwave is not working. I will not replace it with Maytag. I expect my washer and dryer to be next.

I had a brand new Maytag refrigerator freezer delivered to my home. Not three days later, the freezer compartment is frosting over on the back wall, while the refrigerator fails to keep my drinks cooler cold like I demand. Ive heard of planned obsolescence, but this is ridiculous!

First dishwasher was overheating fried control panel, turns out there was a recall. Got another Maytag at a discount. Thanks for nothing, little over a year, its fried too. Will never own another Maytag product again.

We purchased this washer 8 months ago, and still do not have a working unit. From the very beginning of installing the new washer we had repeated F4 and E1 error codes. A technician was sent out three separate times and they replaced the ACU each time only to have the same error codes recur. This unfortunately took 5 months as each time the ACU part was on backorder. After 3 failed attempts they agreed to replace the washer with a new one. We were dumbfounded when the new unit arrived and we had the same F4 and E1 error codes! They have again replaced the ACU and still we have the same error codes! They are sending yet another ACU but we have little confidence this will work and we are at a painful 8 months with no washer.

Never liked this machine. No flexibility in settings, ruins clothes, noisy and often shuts down. But main concern in the fact the whole top is rusting by the bleach dispenser and it leaks from the top all over. It is only 3 or 4 years old. Can not believe an expensive product like this can be so bad.

I know that Maytag wants to conserve water by adding as little as possible... But when the damn machine puts hole in 5+ shirts Im not a happy homemaker!!! At first I thought it was the dryer so I had a repair come out and explain Im not the first person that complained of this issue. Its too late for me but Maytag needs to be aware that they are losing, what I thought to be, one of the top washers reputation.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher on 9/22/2012. Model number MDB7759SAB. Within the past couple of months, it has been very temperamental. The control panel started beeping continuously and some of the functions wouldnt work anymore while others continued to work too well; in that the dishwasher on occasion would rewash several times without anyone starting the machine again. The dishwasher also started leaking water... As of yesterday, the dishwasher control panel stopped responding and then out of the blue, the dishwasher turned itself on in the middle of the night! We called customer service and they said they could send a repairman out for around $89 and then we would have to pay for the parts needed and the cost of labor. After reading many reviews sounding exactly the same as mine, my husband and I are against repairing this lousy machine. Its absolutely ridiculous for a dishwasher to quit unexpectedly like this. Our question now is, which brand to purchase for our next dishwasher? No more junk please!!

My Bravos XL is worthless!!! This lack of agitator design is totally ineffective. Dark clothes come out with white powder on them and I use the liquid detergent. Whites I soak with detergent and bleach then full wash cycle. Still stains on dish towels and socks. Never had a problem with the old agitator Maytag. And yes the wrinkle free cycle creates wrinkles. Deep water wash is only cycle that even comes close to cleaning and its far from perfect. Horrible waste of money, buyers beware!!! I thought all those negative reviews were overblown and since I couldnt find a large enough machine with an agitator, I ignored warnings and bought this garbage. Matching dryer is fine.

The soap dispenser along with the port it slides in becomes molded and is not easy to clean, front loader. I never had a front loader washer with this moldy problem. I have been cleaning it at least once a month,

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I would have bought a new dishwasher for that price, but I was already in for almost $200.00. They dont give you prices upfront.

We bought a brand new Maytag refrigerator online model # MSD2660KES and it arrived dead. The first Maytag tech that was sent said he does not recommend us fixing the problem because refrigerant leaking will happen every few years. We were not able to return the refrigerator, so we opted to let Maytag fix it. Here we are 2 years later and sure enough, the refrigerator has stopped cooling. We are out of warranty period, so the service call cost us $65.00. The tech told us this time its the compressor and replacement would cost $650.00 to fix. We are not wasting any more money on this piece of junk.

I purchased this washer in April 2017 from H/D. The machine started making funny grinding noise over this weekend. Had a tech come to house to repair. Tech said the insides are stripped, 300 plus in parts to repair and would be weeks to get parts. I called Maytag and they offered to send their own tech to see which parts and if any of them would be under warranty at a price of 109. I explained that I had an expectation that a washer would last longer than 31 months and spending another 109 dollars would be bad money after good with the 80 dollars for my tech. Maytag said take it or leave it. I am going to Lowes for a GE machine. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WONT LAST. I will admit, Tina from Tennesse, the Maytag customer complaint person was nice and professional but not actually empowered to do anything to help. I will recommend to my 5 kids never buy Maytag.

We purchased this double-oven range (model: MGT8775XW01) about 5-6 years ago. It came with some slight bubbling on the plate that the control knobs go through/are mounted onto. A few years later, the bubbling paint began to chip/peel off - revealing rust (its a white range). I bought some touch-up paint, but that didnt look very good. Now that entire plate is bubbling and peeling and makes the whole range look like crap. My wife swears well never buy another Maytag product...EVER! Shes ripped! I cant seem to find the replacement part to purchase. Lousy products!

Purchased washer less than 2 years ago. Loud noise like a jet engine or helicopter in spin cycle. Did not purchase the extended warranty. Called Whirlpool/ Maytag customer service. Was told I could have one of their repair people come out. I would have to pay $300 which would give me the repair and extended 1 yr warranty, or I could get $300 off toward a purchase of a new washer. Are you kidding me? This washer wasnt even 2 yr old and making this horrid noise in the spin cycle. I had to have a independent repairman for Maytag washers come out to tell me it wash the bearing and would cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars to fix it. I said no thanks and after his $90 service call am stuck listening to this piece of junk make noise till it completely breaks. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again or recommend one. Whirlpool you sell nothing but junk.

Bought the top load water saving washer 3 years ago and paid around $500 dollars for it. It will not operate correctly. I always thought Maytag was the best!! My main complaint is I cannot get no one on the phone to ask questions about what might be wrong with it!! Now Im angry, its like you buy it, its yours, we arent worried about you after that!! I am on a fixed income and no one cares!! Ill never buy anything manufactured by Maytag ever again!!
