When we sold our home (to buy a new one), it had a really nice matching set Kenmore front load washer and dryer, which worked fantastic!!! We gave the Kenmore set to someone, since the new home had a brand new Maytag Bravo XL, and Im regretting it... Our clothes are always full of lint, it does not remove any dirt and God forbid you spill something on your clothes, our white clothes are now yellow, and his work clothes (dress, shirts and pants) are ruined due to the harsh rubbing from the lack of water... I wish I would of done an Internet search on Maytags Bravo XL before getting rid of our old washer... BUYER BEWARE is all I can say!!!

MER8700DH - Within 6 months, left rear burner stopped working and Maytag repaired it under warranty. Within next 6 months, and just before end of warranty, right front burner stopped working and again Maytag covered it under warranty. Within the second year of ownership, the oven was not working correctly and Maytag refused to cover it because it was off warranty. So I called a local appliance repair company who gave me an estimate of over $300 to repair it and basically advised against repair stating that this stove was a piece of junk. So I replaced it with a GE and junked the old one before it was even two years old. I filed a complaint with Maytag. At first they said they would go half on the labor, but then they said I should have bought the extended warranty and refused all further help.

One baffle broke off in my washer. Very disappointed in this Maytag Model #MHWE201YW00 Serial #HL20102420. I purchased this in Sept 2012. Where the baffle was hooked on had sharp fins sticking out that ruined my 2 small rugs - shredded them.

Maytag Centennial Model MVWC400XW4 - Washer is leaking from the bottom and making loud noises when spinning. Called the Maytag repairman and right away said that the bearings were bad. He said it was a 800 dollar repair for this 500 dollar machine. The service call cost me $97. I immediately went out and bought a GE machine. I wont buy another Maytag.

From the beginning, the blower motor (for the control panel? never needed one before) was too noisy. I just bought the oven from Lowe’s. They sent out a repairman. He replaced the motor, but has exactly the same level of noise. It is bad design/engineering. Im going to try some other brand. One problem is that you cant listen to the fan noise before you buy the oven and install it. And there are no decibel requirements or ratings. Industry regulations need improvement. Model MEW7527A, bought new in Dec. 2012.

I have always bought Maytag and never had a problem except with this new washer. Our clothes smell like dirty laundry and when done washing there is lint in the creases or folds of the clothes. I am using a product for cleaning the washer each month, but our clothes still have an odor. I do not like the way the washer works, it just moves back and forth slowly, but the clothes dont circulate enough.

This a 28-month-old bottom freezer fridge purchased from Home Depot. At about 26 months, the freezer started to leak water as ice was completely covering the bottom of the freezer floor and the excess water would then run out once the door was opened. I managed to get the ice out with slim bladed putty knife and did this about every 10 days. Contact with Maytag affirmed that I had no warranty available as it only comes with a 1-year, except for the compressor. Every effort was made to sell me an extended 1-year warranty for $330, and then a technician would be sent to fix the problem. I asked if the compressor had failed, would I be discounted as it is warranted and the answer was no, the fee was still $330. I had great difficulty in explaining why I would purchase a warranty for an item that is already warranted to no avail.I decided to go with their 2nd option of having a local appliance tech to solve the problem at my expense which I did for a final cost of $130. Technician came and immediately knew the problem and removed a little black rubber stopper valve that is supposed to let water pass but gets clogged and the water backs up into the freezer. It took him all of a half hour to fix everything, $85 for the visit and $45 for time in place, $0 for parts. He stated that this is a continuing problem that he has seen many times. Moral: Dont buy any Maytag products as the Maytag repairman who had nothing to do has died.

Bought new and only had one service call in 20 years. The control panel was replaced. Since then, the dishwasher has performed well and, factually, was far less expensive than many other models! That figured in our decision when remodeling our kitchen back then.

I have been trying to get my refrigerator repaired for over 5 months through the extended service plan I paid for. They sent out a service repairman. He could not repair the refrigerator without some parts so he ordered parts. We waited months to find out he can not get the part anymore that he ordered. So now Maytag Extended Plans and Service Power said they would have to replace the whole refrigerator but every time I call about it, they give me the runaround and say someone will be calling me back within 48 hours.I never get a call back. I give them a few days, then I call back and get the same runaround again. Im getting nowhere with these people. My refrigerator is a $6,500 refrigerator that Im sure they just dont want to replace or offer me anything for that matter. They should abide by the contract I have with them.

Machine (Washing machine front loader model # MHW 5500 FC1) purchased August 2017. From the start Service Dept USA told me to unplug and re-plug anytime I had a problem as this problem started right away right after installation. In January it was getting stuck on the spin cycle. Unplug and re-plug to no avail. MAYTAG DO NOT have their own technicians just so you know. In the my area they use two subcontractors. In January they sent out the first sub-contractor from Appliance Wizards. He is a one man operation I later found out. As soon as he saw that I had a stacked washer and dryer he told me that this was my problem. He pushed a bunch of buttons on the machine, obviously re-setting the motherboard in a different way than unplug and re-plug and told me that there was nothing wrong with my machine. Not true. Machine was getting stuck again. Called Whirlpool service USA again. Told them not to send the same company. This time they sent JC Service. Excellent company. Kyle came out, identified that it was the motherboard. He claimed that they had other consumers with the same problem but that MAYTAG has corrected the problem and he went ahead and ordered a new motherboard. Waited 8 days and Kyle and another serviceman came and installed the new motherboard two days ago. Yesterday I put in my first load and the whole machine went dead. Kyle came again. He claims it is the motherboard again and he ordered a new one. I called Whirlpool service USA and spoke to Tina. All I wanted them to do is to ship my now, third motherboard quickly by courier so that I would not have to wait another 8 days without a washer. Her resolution was to extend my warranty by 6 months. I advised her that I had purchased a 4 year warranty but if they did not fix it so I can use it, even a ten year warranty would be of no use. So then she went and started reciting THEIR RULE OF LAW with regards to their protocol and told me that if needed they will replace my motherboard as many times as needed. She would not address sending the motherboard quickly. I asked for a supervisor several times and finally she agreed to put me through to the supervisor. She was worst than Tina. She agreed to check with the parts department and if possible she would ship it out by courier. I asked her to keep me on hold while she checked. She came back saying that they were not answering and that IN FACT they could not ship it out expeditiously. So, IN OTHER WORDS, SHE WAS LYING TO ME TO GET ME OFF HER LINE!!!! I asked her to give me the e-mail address of the EXECUTIVE OFFICE for Whirlpool. She claimed that she did not have their e-mail address and that the only way to communicate with them was by snail mail. I checked the internet and found a telephone number for the Executive office in Mississauga. I called them. The menu asked to push 5 for... get this... CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE... I pushed 5, followed by a bunch of beeps and a busy signal and disconnect. I tried 3 times. So there you go. This is their way of giving you a Customer Experience. Then I found a number for the Executive office in the USA. I was able to reach Latisha from the executive team and she assured me that if I were a USA resident she would have that motherboard shipped to be by courier right away. Because I am in Canada she was going to contact them to give me a call but that now I had to wait till Monday. 4 days to get back to me from Canada. Yet when it comes to service and parts, everything is arranged in the USA and everything comes from the USA because it is more cost effective for them. Who cares about the consumer. By then the motherboard will have left three days to arrive. 7 days take away 4 equals 3, take away a day for courier, depending on what time they call me on Monday, otherwise you have to take away two days, and then it will be all for nothing. But again, they must have so many complaints at the EXECUTIVE LEVEL, that they cannot call right away. So folks, note that Whirlpool has not recalled these machines with a defective motherboard, they are still selling them to unsuspecting consumers. They are not making an effort to send them out quickly or keep some in stock locally. BUT THE WORST OF ALL IS THAT THEY ARE REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARDS WITH OTHER DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARDS!!!! This is outrageous!!!! I shall update my review once I hear from the very busy executive office for client care, and again once the new motherboard goes in. I shall post my order number and receipt when I update this review as my husband has all this and he is away. However I can give a work order number from service: **.

Washer has plenty of functions for me to was even my work clothes. These saves me money and time. Washer leaves clothes clean and you can even wash your blankets.

Works great, quiet, cleans better than the others in my opinion, have had many others and they never impressed me like this brand does! I think this one gives you your money's worth and you don't have to look no further for a dishwasher again, and is top quality and hardly breaks down as well.

It is not worth the money. I paid $2500.00 for a Maytag refrigerator that I had for two months. Two service calls were made to Maytag as of 07/07/2014, the problem no ice and the refrigerator stays warm. The problem has not been resolve and Maytag refuses to replace the item.

Very poor quality. Vegetables freeze at the back of the fridge I have tried everything. The vegetable drawer constantly comes off its track and the freezer door slide jams and stops the door from closing. It leaves about 1/2 inch gap. Now the Whirlpool/Maytag company changed their corporate policy and wont allow an appliance store that to come out and fix the fridge I have to go back to the manufacturer. Their website wouldnt take my email address when I tried to sign up for an account and they wont answer the phone. What a hassle. Ill buy another brand next time but never GE or Whirlpool again!

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

I bought my Maytag in 2013. It worked fine at first but for the last year it isnt getting clothes clean. In fact, some look like theyve never been washed. I have to run the rinse cycle 2-3 times and they still seem somewhat soapy. The washer still leaves clothes drippy after running the spin cycle. It takes 2-3 hours to complete a small load. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. It worked fine for nearly 20 years!

This Bravo Top Loading Washer does not thoroughly clean my clothes. It doesn’t fill properly with water, and it leaves soap residue on my clothes, because it’s not using enough water. I’m using the 2 rinse cycle trying to prevent this, and it’s still not enough. It has actually ruined a few of my items. It is the WORST washing machine I’ve ever purchased. I’m disappointed in Maytag for producing such an awful machine and Sears for selling such a sub par product.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator Model # M1TXEMMWS02 and Serial # E01103420 in April of 2010 from Home Depot in Aurora, Illinois. First off, we did register the fridge online via Maytag which of course, they have no record of! Now, we go on vacation and come back to all of our food ruined because the refrigerator stopped working! No refrigerator should stop working within two years! I called Maytag and they offered me a Repair Plus One package of $302.73! Are you kidding? We paid $400.00 for fridge. Then of course, only one-year warranty and have to pay at least $75 for a service call, labor plus parts! If it’s the compressor, the charge is $326.20, plus shipping and handling! What a joke! There needs to be longer warranty and should offer free service calls and much more. I am disgusted in Maytag products and in which we purchased due to a reputable name! Never again.

This washer had good reviews when we bought it, but now today the agitator is not working. I see there are now 100s of bad reviews of this machine most around the same 1 1/2 year mark. How unacceptable to have a large appliance like this break after such a short time. Ive called Maytag to see if there was a recall and there is not. They offered the extended warranty to me for $325 that would cover all parts and labor. Ridiculous.

I purchased a Maytag model # MRT 18 FFFHO1 refrigerator from Home Depot. After 7 months, it stopped cooling (wouldnt cool below 52 degrees). Fortunately, I had taken out a 5-year extended warranty. Thats the good news. The bad news is that after numerous trips by a certified repair man -- and three spring/summer months without reliable refrigeration -- Home Depot promised a refund. Well see.Bottom line: keep looking for a refrigerator that works. I have tried GE, Frigidaire, Maytag and Sanyo. Since many of these companies are really just one inept cooperation with more names than Frank Abagnale (Catch Me If You Can), let the buyer beware! I would give Home Depot protection plan 5 stars, though. They stayed with me through thick and thin: by emails, phone calls and text messages. However, their protection plan is worth more than Home Depots appliance products -- through no fault of theirs.

I bought a every expensive Maytag Neptune (washer and dryer one unit) and it is now sitting in the carport. The washer broke and I had to have service people come to my house continuously. Over a period of 6 months I had to pay for 3 motor control boards plus service calls. Thats when I had I moved to the carport. In 2012 I bought a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer so I would be able to stack them. I had to put them at Sears because I had to use layaway. I paid for them over 12 weeks and had to use a laundromat during that time. Last week I got a F01 E02 error code which means replace motor control board. These boards cost over $300 each not counting the cost to install it.I did talk to Sears since the washer was only bought 4 years ago. They were nice to me but could do anything for me. Truly sad when a washer only lasts 4 years for the amount of money I had to pay to purchase it. I dont know what I going to do now since I am now retired but I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL OR MAYTAG AGAIN.

This machine does a great job at cleaning clothes. The clothes are always great in color, and removal of removable spots. The cycles are not too long and the machine is not noisy. Machine is nice looking and water cycles can be normal or large.

We have had this washer/dryer stack up for about 2 years now. Not long after it was purchased from Best Buy, it started smelling like mold, even though we were doing everything possible to keep it ventilated. Best Buy employee said that service was not covered by the warranty that we purchased, so they suggested we YOUTUBE some ideas on how to get rid of the smell. They said it was a common complaint for front load washers. We have tried Affresh, hot water and bleach, hot water with vinegar and lavender, etc. Nothing is working. There is mold on the plastic inside the washer door and the stench is horrible now. You can smell it when you walk into our home. I believe that stench is the reason we are all having respiratory problems, allergies, etc. I just dont know what to do anymore. Really frustrating!! These appliances cost a lot of money.

This machine was in best machines of 2019/2020. It has many features. Ive had one day and have multiple concerns, I will be returning the machine. The dryer isnt great either. Had multiple loads not dry. On the washer, there is no interior light so you cant actually see items in washer to judge soap etc. Has a soap disp that is supposed to hold multiple loads, says 8. Ive washed over 8 and the out of soap alert hasnt come on as youd expect, but when I check the dispenser is full of water so who knows! Cant see inside so I have so way of knowing if there is soap that is still going in, should I add more or what? The alert bell is too quiet, cant hear outside of the laundry room. Multiple loads have not spun out well, leaving standing water and clothes too wet for dryer. Ive had to run a drain/spin cycle to get clothes spun out. It is supposed to connect to wifi but that hasnt been successful, plus, not everyone keeps a phone on them 24/4! Need a louder alert. I washed a sm item that threw it off balance. My LG washed a small floor mat with no issues. I do a significant amt of research before a LG purchase and I feel I was lead astray. I am not happy with this washer or dryer. I wanted to buy American made but this is not up to the standard I expected from Maytag.

I built a new house in 2006. As part of a builders package, we had all new stainless steel Maytag appliances installed. The side by side refrigerator compressor stopped after 26 months (of course, passed any warranty). No customer support through Maytag and as previously posted very scripted responses. Maytag microwave handle has broken off several times, the glass seal in the oven door was compromised and the inside glass is stained - most recently the on-going issue with my Maytag dishwasher model mdb5601. Ive already replaced the handle /door latch assembly twice and am confronted with the current dilemma if I should replace the control panel that now appears not to be working. It goes without saying that I will never purchase Maytag products again. However, I am not in a position to replace what are fairly new products. That being said, I am reluctant to purchase costly replacement parts given their poor performance and ratings as mentioned in this thread.

We bought a heavy duty washer 1 year ago and paid a decent amount of money for it. Had it delivered and installed mid February of 2020. Worked fine until Dec when the lid cracked (which is common said the Maytag repair man), but since it wouldnt lock, we couldnt use the washer. 1 week we were told and it would be in - a month later and over a hundred dollars spent at the laundromat, the part came in. Used the washer for 1 round of laundry - 3 days later all these error codes started and our washer wouldnt work again. 2 weeks this time for the parts and another $100 at the laundromat- a month today and Im told they are on backorder.Called the place we bought it and they said to call Maytag. Call Maytag and they said that they will try to expedite the parts and could offer me a whole $75 for the inconvenience. They will not replace the washer or give me a loaner until the parts are in. 2 months w/o a washer on a 1 person income for a family of 4 and they cant do a single thing to help. If a 10 month old washer needs 3 new parts one of them being a new control panel - within the first year - this is a lemon and should be replaced. I was told they are big on customer service, but obviously Im just a little fish in the ocean and they dont care about me.

I suppose I am the lucky one in that the Maytag Bravos was given to me free. I took out a perfectly good Maytag standard agitator washing machine and replaced it with this several years old unit. What a mistake! I read the other reviews and see that I share the same problems. I always get a the oL fault as soon as it goes to do the final spin. So I have to reset and try again. Also I have seen the same kind of dirt on the clothing as others report. I dont know that I will waste my time contacting anyone about the fault code. I may just put the old one back in and scrap this thing!

Purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Best Buy. We did not buy the extended warranty from BB because there is a warranty with Maytag. After 4 months of use the washer stopped working. We were unable to return it to Best Buy because we exceeded the 2 week return policy and needed to rely on Maytags 1 year warranty. It took over 2 weeks to schedule a repair and he was unable to fix it, it needed an entirely new Control Board and UI panel. 3 weeks later he returned with the new parts. It worked for 10 days with the NEW Board and panel, it has now stopped working again. We are not able to replace it due to the California Lemon Law which allows a company 3 opportunities to fix it before replacing. Next time I will purchase the Best Buy warranty so I can replace this Maytag LEMON.

Bought a Maytag washer from Lowes 3 years ago and it is just junk. I am 62 years old and never had a washer that actually broke down. What happened to good American technologies. I paid top dollar, $1229.00 to be exact and the parts and labor are $659.00 with no guarantee that there wont be further problems. Technician told me that this is typical of Maytag products. I bought a Maytag MMV1153BAW Microwave. Within a year, the electronic key pad started cracking from normal use. After two years, the microwave intermittently starts then just stops, with the key pad showing 0000. We must unplug the device, or turn the breaker off and on. I called Maytag about the key pad and they said it wasnt covered, and a replacement key pad cost more than the microwave. After two and a half years, we purchased a new microwave, and have sworn never to buy Maytag again.

Maytag XL Washer - My new machine is awful as well. Black clothes are smeared with I dont know what... looks like dirt. The wrinkle cycle doesnt work and the bedding cycle forget. Wish I read reviews... silly me.

When purchasing new, sales person highly recommended Maytag products. Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW3 - This had the SS tub that my wife was looking for. Now only 19 months later it has completely stopped working. A few weeks ago the lights on the control panel would randomly come on or not align with the wash option that was chosen. This lasted a short time, and then lights on the panel would stay on, and not allow you to choose any options. I reset our breaker and this alleviated the problem for another week or so. Then it stopped working all together. A quick Google search and it was obvious Maytag has a MAJOR and KNOWN issue with this model. The ribbon going into the faceplate/ control board sits directly behind the port that exhausts the steam. This ribbon over time becomes corroded and eventually malfunctions. I called customer support. They were completely unwilling to acknowledge the problem and also unwilling to help in any way. They offered to sell me an extended warranty @ $329.00 that would cover the service call and repair. Very unhappy that their product has an obvious defect/ flaw and they are completely unwilling to acknowledge/ or stand behind their product. We are a family of (3) and run this dishwasher about once every 5-10 days. Unbelievable they find a fail rate within a year and half with light use acceptable!

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

I have Maytag refrigerator that is only 2 years & 9 months old that I am told by a service tech that it has a sealed system leak. So the unit runs it just wont get cold. I have lost all the food that was in the refrigerator & freezer and I told by Maytag that its not covered under warranty. The tech gave me a ball park quote of $600.00- $700.00 to repair the unit & I lost at lest $200.00 or more in food. I changed from another HE brand to this model. No comparison. This machine can do twice the work... but double the time. My former machine was quiet while this one is not. Maybe I got spoiled to the former brand, but Ive never heard so much noise from a washing machine! Ive always thought Maytag meant quality but I think they may have missed the boat here. I tried reviewing on their site but when I gave it two stars, I got an error message. Clever, Maytag.

The Maytag Bravos XL low water washing machine is very disappointing. About 20% of the time it needs a second rinse because there isnt enough water released to rinse clothing. Forget washing anything large. It just doesnt do it. Waste of money. The matching dryer is just fine - no complaints.

I also have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher. The front panel has stopped working. It was a horrible dishwasher from the beginning. The dishes were streaky on the top rack. And I had to replace the rollers after just over a year. The upper rack has rust on it. The Maytag double ovens I bought at the same time had to be replaced within a year, as the racks damaged the porcelain interior. I also wish I had found your site before my purchases. My husband is not working now. So, I guess we will be washing dishes the old fashioned way.

I purchased a Maytag Electric Range (Model: MER7662WS1) at Lowes in February 2011. After few months, we found many rusty areas on the stainless oven door and on the stainless drawer.On 9/8, I called Maytag at 1-800-688-9900 to complain that stainless steel is not supposed to rust. A representative took the initiative to schedule A&E Factory Service to come to my house for a warranty repair, and assigned me an order # 40629499. I did not request for this service call and naturally, I regard this as a warranty service or a service of quality check of a product.On 9/19, a technician came to check the rusty area and confirmed that the stainless steel have rusted and the rust will eat through the panel. The technician called Maytag, and got the answer that Maytag will not pay for his visit because its not under warranty. The technician then checked the warranty manual, but could find not any statement that neither rust is cosmetic nor rust is not covered. The technician asked me to pay $132 for his five-minute checking service. I was so upset and called Denice at A&E Factory Service at 1-800-905-9505 to bill Maytag directly. She ignored my request and said that I should take it to Maytag.After a couple of hours waiting, holding and transferring, I explained to two Maytag customer service representatives my problem, only to get a Sorry, its not covered, its cosmetic, reply. I insisted talking to a manager and finally got Melinda at Care Solution Team. She, too, refused to waive the charge for me and claimed herself as a supervisor and decision maker and theres no one above her who could resolve this issue.I emphasized that A&E service call was authorized by Maytag, I did not order the service. Who would have thought that a service authorized by manufacturer is not covered under warranty? Besides, this representative failed to inform me that rust would not be covered, she should have known better. Therefore, I believe that the person who initiated the service call to A&E should be held accountable. But Melinda never wanted to agree with this logic and kept saying, We dont force customer to have home service. You are liable for the bill.She refused to pay for the service and forced me to pay the bill from the mistake they made. She even refused to give out the persons ID # and name of the person who called A&E. She only documented my complaint--whats the point of their documentation? If this is the tactic that Maytag is using to categorize rust as cosmetic (if rust can damage material, then you should not call it cosmetic), and ban customers from claiming the rust damage so they can use poor quality of stainless steel on their appliances to save the cost, then, it is dishonest to advertise that this oven is stainless.A representative even said that Maytag should have emailed me with the confirmation of service call and noted that its a non-warranty service. Also, A&E should have informed me before arrival that the service is not covered. All these were not true. First, I did not receive such email from Maytag or Whirlpool. If Maytag would have warned me with non-covered policy such as this, they should have the courtesy to call me in case the email was unreliably routed to spam box. A&E only informed me that they are coming the next day, but no such thing as telling me that the service will not be covered. Even their technician did not know about the non-covered issue, and had to call Maytag today to find out.Had the person who scheduled the service told me that the rust on the stainless panels is not covered under warranty, will I still allow the service call and agree to pay $132 for a five-minute checkup and watch the technician leave without performing any repair? I asked Melinda to let me talk to her supervisor but she said that theres no one who can talk to me, and the only way to appeal is to write to the companys executives. Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

I purchased Maytag gas range in March 2011 at Home Depot, Model No. MGR5605WWO. I received the product in May 2011. The porcelain on the grates chips away leaving large grooves in grate, which affects cooking efficiency, (the fire burns erratically). First, I called 1-800-688-9900. The grates were replaced. And then same problem, it was replaced again, and again the same problem. The warranty to cover stove was extended by 6 months. The enamel on the round magnetic cover for the burner is also chipping away. I was told that this chipping of the enamel is a cosmetic problem and does not affect the functionality of the stove problem.A repair technician was sent out at my request to see firsthand the problem grates. I was told by him that if it occurred again, the manufacturer needs to be made aware of the defective grates. He noted that the enamel covering on the grates was not uniform. I have been told by Maytag supervisor today that she will get back to me within 3-5 days and let me know what is going to be done. I have had gas ranges before, but this is the first time this problem has occurred and its continuation is unacceptable. Is there anything further I can do to ensure I have stove grates that do not chip continuously?

In December 2017 I bought a Maytag Bravos (w/o agitator) based solely on past experience (56 yrs.) of buying from Maytag without any complaints. A friend told me I wouldnt be happy with my purchase and she was RIGHT! It doesnt get my clothes clean to my satisfaction, my towels are all getting snags as well as silky sheets and pillowcases and dark clothes have a soap scum line on them. I have slightly better luck if I wash everything with the deep water level option but I still need to wash dark clothes a second time without any soap or fabric softener to lighten the scum line.I am very careful to use minimal amounts of high efficiency detergent but that doesnt help. I called Maytag and complained within the first month but then we were gone for the month of February and I just never followed up with them. Now Im sure its too late to do anything. I wish I had listened to my friend. Hopefully I can save another consumer from making the same mistake I made.

We purchased a Maytag washing machine top load (#MVWX550XW) on 12-20-2010. The switch on the machine that starts it running when you close the cover went out under warranty. They put a new switch in and it only lasted a while. I had to pay this time, $240.00 for repair. Now again, 1-2-2013, the switch is not working. I think that it is a lemon. I called the company and they will not cover the cost. Instead they want to sell a warranty for over $300.00 for one year and then if I purchased it, then they would fix it.If I did that, I would have more money into the repairs then what the machine cost ($583.44). Isnt there a lemon law? It looks like I will have to get rid of this machine and buy a different brand. Yes, Maytag has let me down. I cannot recommend their products because of the quality and answers that they give. I cannot afford an attorney, which leaves me upset when somebody wont cover the cost of the third repair.

Purchased my Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBM on 5/13. 3 weeks ago the panel went out! I found others have had the same complaint on their Maytag Dishwashers too! I also learned this model was discontinued from Home Depot. Is this because Maytag knows this Dishwasher was JUNK and that they allowed consumers to buy this model knowing it had these problems - I believe so! I find it absolutely crazy that Maytag has not issued a RECALL and now I am out almost $700 plus if I get it fixed or buy a new one, I am out even more $$! There has to be some RESPONSIBILITY taken from Maytag!!! This Company was built on an excellent reputation but now this company reputation is considered POOR for selling defective products and doing nothing about it!

We purchased this product from Lowe’s in 2009. We liked it for the first 6 months. Then it started putting holes in our clothes, the washer smells bad, coins get stuck, and make noise. Something needs to be done because there are thousands of upset consumers out there, all with the same complaints and Maytag does nothing. It’s not Lowe’s fault. They didnt make the washer. First let me say I have used Maytag products for 46 years. A little over a year ago bought a new Maytag Centennial Washer (Model MVWC555DW) for a cousin which was responsible to looking after as he had been brain damaged since birth. Needless to say when I started having trouble with clothes not washing and having to bring to my home and wash was not satisfactory. This machine never worked right but until after the 1 year warranty could get by. Needless to say I will never buy another Maytag appliance but now have a Maytag washer/dryer, stove and dishwasher in my home. Maytag is Not the quality that is use to be. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MACHINE AND ALSO UNDERSTAND FROM LOWES THEY HAVE HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THIS MODEL.

My old washing machine was about 25 years old but still doing a fantastic job getting the laundry done. When the dryer died we decided to replace both machines so theyd match. I had been setting money aside for years in preparation for this purchase. Ive only had them for two weeks and I stay awake at night wondering what GENIUS decided you can get clothes cleaner in a tablespoon of water than you can in an adequate amount of water?! My old washer could wash a load of laundry in about 20 minutes. Again, what GENIUS decided taking over an hour to wash a load of laundry in a tablespoon of water was a better way?! What working woman would choose to double the time needed to do laundry and then not feel confident that the clothes are clean?!!! I am so mad and frustrated and disappointed and I dont know what to do. I wish I could yell at somebody!!!

Updated on 01/21/2019: I have contacted Maytag numerous times with no results. I purchased a washer and dryer on 2/7/2018 and the dryer takes hours to dry my clothes. I contacted them 2 months after my purchase and then waited and contacted again and again. I have contacted them numerous time with nobody contacting me back. I want a complete full refund in the amount of $1031.06! I want to purchase another washer and dryer from someone else and purchase both so they match.Original Review: Maytag MCT Dryer - The washer I purchase is great but the dryer doesnt dry worth anything. Dont buy it. Takes me hours to dry one load and the only reason I purchased this was because my old dryer was drying less but actually was better than this one. The time sensored dryer isnt worth 5 cents. So disappointed! I have had it 2 months, paid cash at Lowes and so unhappy!

I am very happy with my washer. It is easy to use and does an outstanding cleaning job. I have had it for almost 7 years and have not had any problems with it. It has many different settings so it can handle virtually any cleaning job. I am particularly happy with the spin speed which is adjustable but the high speed spin really wrings the water out so the dryer which incidentally is also a Maytag drys in a fairly short time. The washer is a front loader and doesn’t use much water.

Why is it when you wash dark clothes they come out with white spots which looks like soap. I have put very little soap and it still appears. I usually wash in cold water so I tried warm water - same result. I have had a Maytag for a least 40 years never had this problem - what is it I am doing wrong? I have to wash and rinse at least 2 more times. I would appreciate a answer so I can fix this.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator around 2 yrs ago. Ive had repair out a couple and tried to take care of this myself. I am being told by repair men that it is a design flaw that the line gets plugged and water pours out all over my floor. The refrigerator I replaced was 20 yrs old, never had a service call & never poured water all over my floor. From reviews Im reading Im not alone in this problem. The worst washer I have ever purchased. Clothes DO NOT come out clean, smell musty after washing. Have even decreased the amount of clothing per wash. Cant use bulk load function: throws LF Code - Bad water valve. I will NEVER buy or suggest anyone buy this piece of JUNK! Then to top it off you have to constantly chase the machine around due to wash load becoming unbalanced. Now today have to contend with a burnt smell...

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. Trust me never never never again!!!!!!!!

Recently purchased a washer from Home Depot. Machine is now on its 3rd repair. The wiring harness is fired. Could have caused a fire. Now they still will not replace and part is on order which will take 4 weeks to be in stock. I called Maytag and expressed my concerns to which they could not help me as every washer is theirs can be repaired. I really don’t understand what happened to making things right. Very frustrated that they will not repair or reimburse for that matter. Please refund my mom and pick it up.

Purchased new Neptune stacks in 2002 and had several service calls on our expense and we noticed the hinges on the washer door were rusting! Ordered new ones from dealer but rust continues and has spread to top of machine over the bleach dispenser. The metal is falling off! Bad rust on the inside lip under door also. I contacted Maytag when I first noticed rust and they blew me off so I contacted the local dealer we bought from and they did nothing to help. Dishwasher has been very dependable. Very reasonably priced and in over six years of service never had an issue with it. It’s a little on the small side for a large family but if you’re for less in your household-- works perfect.

Food freezes in the refrigerator. If I turn it down, the freezer does not freeze. What has happened to the quality of Maytag? This unit is so new. I think I am going to take it back and buy a better brand!

I purchased this Maytag Bravos machine because I was told it can wash large loads and is one of the best washers out there... Both are so far from the truth, this is the worst machine I have ever owned. The water level is almost none. And my clothes come out dirty and I have to wash several times to even get them semi cleaned. I am not rich and trying to save enough. To buy this machine was not easy and I am now with no options. I called Lowes after a couple day after I got the machine and told them it is not working. They sent me another machine yet it still does not clean my clothes. I wanted to return it and get a better machine but they refuse to allow me to do so because now it is 2 months old and past the 30 day return. I purchased an extended warranty which is useless cause. The machine is junk even when working as it should... I will never buy from Maytag again because they refuse to back their crappy product and refund my money. I would tell anyone looking for a washer to not go with Maytag. They are terrible machines and a bad design... I even contacted Maytag and was pretty much told too bad and just rewash my clothes as many times I need but they will not do anything to resolve this issue. TOO bad is what I was told...

I purchased the Maytag double-oven gas range, Model MGT8775XS, in 2013. The quality of this double-oven stove cannot be understated. Performance? Terrible. Reliability? Awful. My experience was shocking because when I was a kid, Maytag was the ideal for quality and reliability. Those days are over. When delivered in 2013, the ovens did not work. Heating went to 200 degrees and stopped. During the next three years, we had this Maytag stove repaired four times. The most recent repair was in October 2016. A new regulator and igniter cost us $360. Four weeks later you guessed it the ovens stopped working yet again. We sent the Maytag stove to the recycle dump. Its far more valuable as scrap metal.

I just bought this refrigerator a bit more than 2 years ago. I have to change electronic module for $300 CAD including labor. Home Depot advised me to contact directly Maytag and to express my dissatisfaction about this unreliable product.

I have not been satisfied with this Bravo washer since purchased 4 years ago. I have been holding back anger, hoping things would somehow improve. Clothes are never really cleaned, cant even fill washer with very many clothes because the washer goes off balance. It takes a lot longer to do laundry. Clothes spin so fast they are in knots when I put them in the dryer. I always have to iron clothes. Today, well today we have a leak coming from under the washer somewhere. So please tell me, what is the advantage to having a HE washer again? By the way, no warranty since its been 4 years. I will never buy another one.

I also purchased a Maytag dishwasher a few years ago. It has never worked that well. We had a repairman come out once to replace the control board but the problem soon returned. Interestingly, we found that if we wait long enough until the control panel is in the mood, the dishwasher works again and the control panel responds to button pushes, until the problem returns.I dont recall what model I purchased but it seems to be irrelevant. From reading the other customer complaints, its quite obvious that all Maytag dishwashers inherently have problems with their control panels and Maytag intends on doing nothing about it. I guess the extra repair costs that their customers have to pay for their defective products brings in some additional revenue to Maytag, so theres no real motivation for them to fix their ** products.

We had a wonderful Bisque Maytag double oven in 2002. We bought new stainless appliances this year, and have been very disappointed with the range. Why do you have to hold the temp and timer settings one increment at a time to set it, and why do you have to push Start after that? Frequently we set the temp or timer and walk away, only to find that the oven or timer did not begin because we forgot the new step. When the timer goes off, you have to push it twice to get it to reset. The burners themselves have too many confusing pictures for the settings. What happened to low heat, medium and high and hash marks in between? The stove top itself is a nightmare to keep clean. Give me back my coil stove any day!!!

Top of the line $1300 Maytag Maxima MGD8100DW probably rusted much earlier before I noticed. After all how many times you check the drum of brand new top of the line dryer?? Manufacturer says not covered. Not sure but already this brand new model has been discontinued, so the manufacturer i.e. Maytag or Whirlpool take your pick found out about the defective design/part but now does not want to honor the warranty ridiculous. And one of the main selling points was made in USA (which turned out to be only assembled in USA), and the consumer reports which gave good rating but they were duped too.

I live in Southern Indiana and bought my appliance from Charlie Wilsons for 25 years. 3 years ago my Whirlpool washer quit filling up to full level. I decided to move it over and use for my car and pet towels. When I bought my hose in March 1999 every appliance was Whirlpool washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher. GE is made in Louisville, KY but I dislike the union.Anyway I bought a Maytag model MVWC415EW1 June 2017. Recently it started making a grinding noise when going in spin cycle, wadding cloths up and leaking black water on basement floor. Called repair shop out. I just do not have the time to repair stuff anymore. They came out $80.00 service call and tell me at least $300.00 to repair. Wait a minute. $500.00 to buy a new one over $300.00 to repair. Guess what I did? I called Maytag and complained. CASE NUMBER **. They reviewed and denied. Not a problem. I said, I guess you do not need me as a customer anymore.I have twenty year old Whirlpool washer and dryer still running, I have replaced my refrigerator (Old one in garage still running a colder than new fridge and day of the week). Bought Amana=Whirlpool and it has quit and replaced with a Whirlpool July 2019. Nothing is built like it used to be BUT we still pay as much if not more. Off I go to Charlie Wilsons to buy a $1000.00 Speed Queen washer with 7 years parts and labor warranty. Had to order it but old washer still running just not going to full mark.

Maytag Washer was bought on May 2010 for $746.29 and it broke down. It was used only twice a week. It now requires repairs worth $991.36. All Maytag reps say is I am sorry, there is nothing we can do. Isnt there a lemon law for major appliances?

Purchased the Bravos XL top load washer a month ago. We work outside daily and our clothes get very dirty. I havent really taxed the machine yet (Im doing what I consider a normal load of wash. I know the machine could handle twice as many clothes as its the 5.3 cubic feet washer, but I havent had that many clothes to put in at one time). The washer works great. Clothes are clean and smell fresh. For those that say this washer is extremely loud - you must not have something set up incorrectly. Either the wet pan you put under the machine is making contact with parts it shouldnt or someone didnt level it properly. Really, this is NOT a loud machine. We purchased from Lowes and they delivered, set up and leveled both the washer and dryer. (Yes, we also purchased the matching Bravos XL front load dryer and were impressed that it dries our clothes in half the time our old one did). We would definitely recommend the Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer.

Maytag washer manufacture changes are not worth a dime. I suspect EPA made the changes, and engineering was made by someone that has never washed a load of clothes in the entire life. There is no agitator and/or supposedly made to conserve water. Well, it saves water alright with each load. There will be a 2 foot circle in the middle of a bed sheet that doesnt get wet; the same with a sweaters. I have checked with different stores and all made the same. And heaven forbid if you dropped a sock and wanted to add it to the load with the mate. The lid locks. I am both angry and dissatisfied and will tell this same story to anyone wanting to purchase a washing machine.

We love our Maytag ovens. It always cooks evenly and we never have HAD any issues over the past 2 years. We will always buy Maytag! It has a self cleaning option and I have never burned anything on the oven.

Called Maytag. Was part of 2005 recall with Neptune Maytag washer. We did not realize it and now Maytag will not do anything. Now having dryer issues with a cracked drum. Called and there was no resolution or attempt to resolve.

I purchased a MTW6600TB0 Washer and Dryer on 6/17/07. I have had issues with the washer from the beginning; smell in towels and mechanical problems as well. The machine does not fill properly and receive error codes that are electrical issues per A & E service. I get LF errors occasionally and randomly on different cycles. I finally called for service because I now am receiving F51 Error, which has to do with the basket per A & E service technician. I was told on Black Friday that my machine required both baskets and the rotary motor. My machine is just 4/5 years old. No unusual wear and tear. There are only three people in my family and we live in a fairly warm climate so no heavy winter clothing, etc. I was told that my stainless steel basket was rusting to my plastic basket. I am still trying to comprehend the fact that two materials that are not supposed to rust are rusting. After looking for a new washer over Thanksgiving weekend, I find out that Maytag warranties their stainless steel basket and rotary motors for 10 years. So do they warranty the things they say the warranty or not? Of course, it is a holiday weekend and I cannot get a hold of Maytag. I paid for a service call and the technician told me I would be responsible for the repairs at about $500 for parts plus labor. I looked up the parts he recommended replacing and it was over $800. I paid $1000 for this machine less than 5 years ago. Thats $200 a year for the privilege to use a Maytag. Additionally, my set is black. I can not find a black washer anywhere.

Stove does not heat evenly in oven. Electric burner cannot be turned down to low or simmer, then it will not cook at all. Other burner turned down to low does not stop bubbling and stays at a high temp. There is no consistency. I am extremely disappointed and curse at this stove every day. Model #MER7664XB. We got our Maytag dishwasher in 2011. Weve experienced a lot of the same problems other people have mentioned. Control Panel was the first thing to go out. Now it has a foul odor coming from it and it doesnt get the dishes clean. The heating coil has stopped working and is rusting. This dishwasher is junk and Im very disappointed. I will never buy Maytag again nor any company related to them.

Maytag Frenchdoor MFX2570AEM3 - Was initially really excited with this brand new fridge. We have not even fully paid it off, as we bought with credit at Home Depot, and it continuously leaks water from freezer! I have taken everything out, defrosted, spent about two hours pushing hot water through the freezer drain with a turkey baster and it was only about four days before I had a puddle on my floor again! We have bought quite a few maytag products before, but after this fridge, probably never again! If there is a recall or a lawsuit pending, please, someone advise me of either.

It went bad, then I called a technician who replaced the compressor. After a few months, it broke down again after I had bought new parts for it. I was very dissatisfied with how the refrigerator was built. I spent lots of money on it, and it wasnt worth it.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. Purchased a new side by side American made Maytag refrigerator (Model: MSD2559XVEB ) in August 2010 from Best Buy. Just returned from a 3 week vacation and the refrigerator died shortly after we left on trip ( 14 months post purchase date ). $700 worth of food ruined.

My new Maytag washing machine does NOT CLEAN clothes or anything else. Waste of money. I have soft water, use bleach, hot water, Tide. I have even tried adding some baking soda. No use. I cannot wait until I can find a washing machine that works.

MHW60X - I experienced a problem in May of 2015, and the repairman told me it was the master board, and he has seen this many times. He said that the MCU board goes out after 3.0 - 3.5 years!! This is exactly how old my machine was! The cost to repair this was almost what the machine cost, and this is unacceptable. I have had Maytag washers my entire adult life, and my prior one lasted approximately 20 years, but after this I am not sure I will consider another one in the future. To have a major part burn out soon after the warranty expires should not happen. I contacted customer service to find out the experience and reported problems on this model, but could not obtain any information, other than they have received calls about this model. I asked Maytag to reimburse me for the part - at a minimum, and they refused stating it was out of warranty and they could do nothing. Apparently they do not care about their reputation anymore, which is sad, since they used to be so well regarded!

I bought a Maytag refrigerator from Lowes. It has the freezer on bottom and I cannot put no fruits or vegetables in my refrigerator - it freezes them solid. Will never purchase this style of refrigerator again. Very Unsatisfied with this product

We bought a new Maytag electric range from a local dealer three years ago. The oven element quit working, which shorted out the motherboard that controls the entire range. The cost of repair was $500 for the element, motherboard and installation. We have owned other brands that lasted 20 years and worked fine with no repairs. My folks have used Maytag for over 50 years with no problems. Who and where is this junk manufactured now? China? I will never buy another Maytag product!

I purchased a Bravo Washer and Dryer from Home Depot. The Maytag Bravo washer and dryer we purchased from Home Depot did not work from the beginning. Before I called Maytag, I tried for several months to redo the way I was loading the washer and dryer.I tried several different settings however, the clothing keeps coming out smelling like it is still worn. Spots are in the clothing that normally comes out with a washing (with my prior washer). The clothing just does not get cleaned and it gets so tangled that it has ruined some of my clothing. There is clumping of the detergent, even though not a lot has been used.I had the repair company come out three times for both the washer and the dryer. They have checked and no errors codes where found. One gentleman told me again to redo the way I load the washer and the dryer. I have done it so many times, but I tried again and even purchased little dryer balls. It made no difference.I called Maytag again and was told they would have to have another company come in and do a second opinion. The person came and said that he agreed that the washer should be able to wash and the dryer should be working correctly. He recommended that a possible problem with the motherboard for the dryer (which was a possible problem mentioned by visit #2) could be handled, but he had to have it approved. He would check with the company and get back to me. I received a call the next day and a message was left telling me there is nothing he can do with the washer. He was told by Maytag/Whirlpool that I should only fill the tub lightly and not pack it down (I told everyone how I load and I never pack my clothing down). The washer should, when loaded with wet clothing, be only 1/3 to full otherwise it decreases the wash ability dramatically.The problem of the siphoning action for the softener section of the washer should be handled by running boiling water through the tube to loosen up the wax portion of the softener. The possible correction for the dryer exchanging the motherboard (it could be set incorrectly) was turned down by saying that the dryer is running to Maytag/Whirlpool’s satisfaction and nothing else would be done, since there are no error codes for both washer and dryer.My towels have a mildew odor to them when they are used. They have to be washed twice and run through the dryer a long time before I can put them away. I purchased a high capacity washer and dryer and I am told now not to fill it more then 1/2 full. That is not what I was told by the person selling it. Otherwise, I would not have purchased this set at all.

My 20 yr old Kenmore washer broke last month so I replaced it with a Maytag I bought from Lowes. I wanted a simple washer that would maybe last 10 years. The Maytag has a sensor for everything. So you can’t fill the washer, it determines how much water to use and it never fills enough to cover the clothes. It doesn’t agitate really. It’s more like a slow on & off movement. It does everything in an on & off way. The water fill goes on & off, it “washes” on & off. Even the spin is a spin, slow to almost stop - spin again - almost stop - spin again. It also stops filling if you open the lid, I tried to let some water fill before adding clothes (so the liquid detergent could dilute a bit) but every time I opened the top there was no water in the drum, I heated the water running and the drum was wet but it wouldn’t gill at all. I think it only puts water enough to “sense” the clothes have been soaked. I will call Lowes and try to return it.

I had this microwave less than a year. The control panel went out and Maytag fixed it. Now a year and a half later, the same thing happened. This product was almost $400 at the time we purchased it. I have had better luck with $40 microwaves.

We purchased this washer 3/25/15 for $873.77, we also got the matching dryer, for the same amount. This washer, never washed good, it is simply a bad design, I dont know, what type of mind altering products the designer was on at the time, but it must of been some good stuff, since all brands jumped on the wagon. This is a POS, I have contacted Maytag, and they just ignore me. We need a class action lawsuit against them, they think they can take our money, and laugh at us.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher on 12-26-2013. It was installed in early Jan. We did not buy an additional warranty. We put our faith in the Maytag name. We had no problems with our dishwasher. It was smooth and quiet. The one year warranty ended in Jan. 2015. In March of 2015, our dishwasher control panel began to go crazy. A short while later our Maytag shut down completely. Every now and then the washer will come on by itself. We will try and cut it off. It cuts off when it is ready. We have got quotes on getting it fixed by Maytag. With installation and tax, our Maytag Dishwasher cost us $649.22. Our complaint is the same complaint of thousands of other customers - the control panel. Maytag should have a recall and fix this problem. Maytags remedy for this problem is to sell a warranty for each year that a family owns the dishwasher. That is not acceptable. My Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749SBM2 was two months out of one year warranty and the Whirlpool control panel went out. We replaced it for 80.00. 3 months later same issue. We had that replaced for free. 4 months later same issue. We had to fight but got that replaced for free. Now 2 months later same problem. It cleaned wonderful when it worked. I will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool. I used to buy nothing but Maytag. We threw it out tonight. Tired of a dishwasher that is only part time.

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

I bought a Maytag washer in Sept. 2018 because the company had a reputation of making quality products that did not need repairs. I was wrong. Because I live alone so at most I washed two loads a week, so the company cannot say it had been overused. After a little more than a year I notice at times the wash cycle took too long. One time I tried the 2 rinse cycle and it would not quit washing. A repairman reset the computer to factory settings (he was at the house repairing a refrigerator) and it worked for a few months trouble free before dying. I will not purchase another Whirlpool product since the company did not stand by its product.

We purchased a washer and dryer two years ago. The washer got louder and louder until we realized something was wrong and we called to get it fixed. Luckily, that was within the time of the warranty. The noise, however, began getting louder and louder within a very short time. Maytag refused to fix it again. Now, the washer sounds like a jet engine and wont drain the water at all.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

I did not purchase it. This range came with my home. The electric range works great. It is thorough and I dont have to worry about the gas being on and filling the house up. Electric may not be for everyone, but it is the way to go for me. I will look for similar if not the exact same make/model if a replacement is necessary. I dont mind spending a little extra to ensure the product will last. So many products dont last nowadays and it is sad. I am not an avid cooker, actually I tend to mess up a lot of food recipes but the electric range helps me to reduce the number of problems I run across with the durability and accountability of the product. It cooks throughout the entire dish/pan and I have never had a problem with the unit working properly, just the user not working properly. Haha.

We owned Whirlpool front load prior to the Maytag set we now own. Our Whirlpool was the better one. Shorter wash cycle, better cleaning & never had a problem with the seal. Maytag dryer doesnt signal properly when laundry is dry. You have to go multiple times. I wont purchase another Maytag set. We owned a Maytag top loader set and they worked like they should have.

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

We were excited to finally buy a new wash set and I always wanted the Neptune ones. I had owned a Maytag for 25 years through two children and a mechanic husband. I had every confidence in the new ones and expected at least the same service. Shortly after the warranty went, the machines both started to act up. The washer would stop in the middle of the cycles. The dryer wouldnt come on or wouldnt respond to the commands. We finally contacted the local repairman whom we have used for years. He came and gave us boo-hoos about these machines. He said they were trouble and we should have never have bought them. My husband figured it was the electronics in the control panel. The repairman said the parts would cost somewhere near $500.00 to $600.00 each and proceeded to try to sell us used ones for $2,000.00. We said we would try to get the bad parts and he even gave us the stock numbers? We went online and found new ones for half the price. We bought them and put them in and they persisted in doing the same things as before. Is this a runaround or what? Who is bilking who? Another great American rip-off. What can the public do?

Had a brand new Maytag MDB4949 dishwasher installed on 10/20/15. Noticed an acrid smell of burning plastic coming from the pull handle. After going to the reviews I see a pattern of shorting control panel boards melting the ribbon cable. Having repaired Xerox copy machines for 17 years, I recognized the smell of an electronics short and melting plastic. There are 600+ complaints for the same thing. Going to call the store we purchased it from and will escalate from there.

We updated our kitchen appliances in 2013 and purchased all from Home Depot. Purchased Maytag Refrigerator, free standing range and microwave. What a big mistake!!! Not one of them are worth what we paid for them. I just noticed that I was getting a (chemical) smell from inside our 6 year old 3 door model MFI2670XEM5 refrigerator. Well being I know what refrigerant smells like I have a leak in the interior of unit. This is my final issue with Maytag and their so called great built appliances, I have had nothing but troubles since about 2 years after we purchased it.I guess what really surprises me is that unit is built by Whirlpool and has their name all over unit and I always had good luck in the past with the brand. This is one of several issues including rust on freezer door, broken plastic drawer frames to French door hinges broken, ice maker door issues. What a waste of my money that I spent on these and now after 6 years need to buy all new. IT WILL NOT BE Maytag or Whirlpool!!!

I bought a high capacity Maytag Bravos washing machine, thinking it would be better than the ones that shred your clothes around the center post. Wrong. You still have to wrap your clothes around the edges as if there were a post, and even then the machine will become unbalanced (after much thumping and crashing), causing it to stop, which forces you to redistribute the weight, sometimes several times in one load of wash! I called the company and got nowhere -- I wont say nowhere fast because it took forever to get nowhere. I do not recommend this machine.

Maytag Centennial Washer - If a wash load becomes off balanced, the machine stops. No signal or buzzer or anything to alert me to this. It happens all the time and wastes a lot of my time. Here I am thinking that the wash is going fine only to find out 2 hours later that it has stopped. Anytime I wash more than 3 items, this happens. I will never buy one again and I am telling everyone not to buy. I will be purchasing a good old fashion washer with a dial gauge so I can spin it any time I needed.

Omg I am so shocked at all the complaints about these refrigerators.. I too bought refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Lowes after a storm just about destroyed our home. I was so excited to have such a beautiful refrigerator and new kitchen...but shortly after it started freezing on the bottom of freezer and leaking all over. My new floors and kitchen cabinet are ruined. Every other day we have to break up ice and clean it out from freezer.. it still then leaks.. several family members have slipped and hurt themselves. Please if anyone knows how to get it fixed without it costing us a fortune let us know. Maytag (Whirlpool) knows it is a defect... Why will they not fix it? I cant afford a new refrigerator and shouldnt have to after only two years.. If a class action comes up.. please contact me. Shame on them...
