Maytag Neptune was purchased over 15 years ago to replace GE, which we purchased when children were little. I wanted a step up in quality. I remember paying around $499 for this unit. This is an analog unit. The intellidry feature has been a real asset, protecting our clothes from over drying. We have had this machine for nearly 20 years. It has been real reliable, sometimes drying 20 loads a week. Large capacity, but has to fit down a narrow and twisting stairway. Must be energy efficient, have good reviews and decent price. We always look for sales or buying incentives. Brand is secondary to quality. Knowledge of an appliances historical reputation is important. I would look at reviews, especially concerning cost of repair. I would attempt to get a hands-on view, before purchase from a reputable supplier at the best price. My dryer has only required one major repair in the time Ive had it. A few years ago we replaced the motor and blower, and I have personally replaced the drum support rollers twice. I hesitate to replace this machine, because the analog controls have proved very reliable.

Maytag Microwave MMV4205DW-1 - This microwave made it one year and one month before the door would no longer latch shut and the control panel stopped working altogether. Called Maytag and was told not under warranty. It was going to cost more to repair than to purchase a new microwave that was a different brand.

I bought this range Nov 2019, beautiful range that’s it. Stove top scratches very easily and hard to clean. Oven racks rust, got them replaced on the guaranty they still rust. Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... Sure would like a full refund, I mean 1500. What a ripoff.

Apparently the Maytag Bravos HE top loading washer is poorly designed. We have sparingly used this washer for approx 3 years and it began to make a horrible noise in the spin cycle and then to give us UL error codes. After searching on the internet we discovered that the seal around the main spin shaft and the bearings were bad. Inspection under the machine revealed a terrible rust and grease spot and splatters of rust and grease on underside of unit. This is a typical problem and this machine should have been recalled or at the very least repaired by Maytag for little if any cost. They now make a kit to fix this problem, but this should not happen after only 2-4 years of use on a $700+ machine. Very, very disappointed with Maytag! Customer service, of course, offered us nothing as pathetic 1 year warranty was expired. Ten year on the tub, like anything will go wrong with that.

Purchase brand new range a couple of months ago. Self-clean oven does NOT self-clean and leaves weird, flakes of something that stick to oven floor. Burners are inconsistent and difficult to control heat level. Take forever to get warm, and then either boil over or wont get warm enough. Purchased this with inheritance from my mother - how sad! Always had such faith in Maytag.

Dont buy their washers. Plain and simple. Will never ever buy Maytag again. This washing machine is garbage and I paid a lot of money for it. 3 months out and it had to have the entire circuit board replaced. I was assured that this was the issue. It has never cleaned our clothing, in fact, they come out twice as dirty and with soap. Weve used the Affresh, weve put as little as 1 tablespoon of detergent, weve triple washed several loads and still ended up having to wash them by hand in the tub. Changing the circuit board did nothing. Weve tried setting it to max fill (which it does) and everything still comes out the same. Its not the water, its not the water hook ups (previous washer worked great but was old, should have kept it). This is the worse product that Ive spent almost a thousand dollars on. Its a paperweight. On top of this, it twists your clothes into a mass. I expect companies to be honest about their products and provide what I paid for. How many times does this washer have to be fixed before you will call it a bad design? Im having to literally do all my laundry by hand for the last 8 months. I want my money back so I can buy a good quality product that works. I could have bought a $300.00 washer that would have done better then this. You want more proof, go read their Facebook replies to all their posts. Its all complaints about their washing machines. It would be nice for once to see a company fess up and say they made a design error. But that wont happen. Their money is more important.

Constantly does not clean clothes, always out of balance, codes constantly come up, only 2 1/2 years old and already rusting out. No matter what you do this washer does not want to work. Has special cycles for bulky loads but try to wash 7 towels and it will dance all over floor then shut down with an unbalanced code and you have to unplug to reset then wash towels again but not use spin and have to wring out towels by hand. I cannot believe the Maytag company has not recalled this very expensive pile of junk, and their service department is very rude and not helpful at all.Also as soon as you call an appliance repair company and tell them its a Maytag Bravos they say we do not fix those, do yourself a favor and junk it and buy any other brand. I have 3 kids now grown so we have bought about 5 washers over the years and when we saw that this was supposed to save water and energy and do bigger loads we were sold. Big mistake! Whatever you do never buy any appliance from Maytag. Products are garbage, service is nonexistent, and the cost will make you boil.

Worst brand ever. They both broke at the same time. Spend too much money. Never buying these brand again. Maytag sucks. Dont buy Maytag washers or dryers.

Oven failed after 2.5 years of normal use (1-2x / week). Apparently a relay failed (and burned out bake element). Contacted service & parts dept and learned that repair would cost $100 for service visit and $413 to replace the control board. Only the $80 bake element is covered by the limited warranty. Wonderful oven if your hobby is appliance repair. After 2.5 years, it now functions better as a toilet than an oven.

Maytag dryer MEDC215EW - This dryer does not dry the clothes without many wrinkles. Sheets just ball up with the inner sheet a mass of wrinkles. Small loads just flop from top to the bottom of the dryer, falling in clumps. I have gone back to having to ironing. Very disturbing!!! I would not recommend this dryer to anyone.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher & installed Aug 15 2012. After installation the control panel wasnt working & Lowes replaced the dishwasher with the same model. After the years warranty was up I started having trouble with the second dishwasher panel. I limped along with it for months until I could not get it to work at all. A repairman came and said that the touchpad & board was damaged. He said it wasnt hooked up properly. After an estimate of over three hundred dollars we decided to rid ourselves of it and purchased another, cheaper brand. Was out 79 dollars for the repair estimate & over 500.00 for the Maytag dishwasher. Plus a new one installed for 700.00. Had the use of this appliance less than two years.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washing machine set in July 2007. In May 2011, I had to have the shocks and another part relating to running a balanced load replaced. I spent about $500 on those repairs. The parts to replace the shocks took more than 6 weeks to arrive! Roughly one year later, the plastic water pump has broken and needs replacing - another $100 part plus labor. I always believed Maytag was a reputable company, but I am very sad at the quality of the product I purchased based on their reputation. They should be ashamed! To date, the dryer has been good - knock on wood!

I went to Home Depot in Kennesaw, Ga to purchase new W&D combo. I had found what I wanted but when the sales went to complete my order, the units I selected werent available. She talked me into the Maytag Bravo, but I specifically stated I needed a large tub because I wash a lot of towels and sheets. Well this expensive piece of shhh, doesnt even get all the items wet. Ive had to lift the lift and physically flip items in tub, especially with towels and sheets. Also, the washer is loud, did I say loud, I mean freaking loud. The dryer is fine, but I bought combo for a reason... Pricetag $1200.00 with my discount. I waited a week for delivery, I am mad as hell. Whats point of having large tub, when you barely get enough water. Luckily I found out now, so I can have them pick this CRAP UP, Do not buy. Theyre cute looking, but washer does not get your clothes clean.

What a disappointment. I guess this is why we no longer see that commercial about the Maytag repairman being bored. Because now, he is out fixing these pieces of shirt. I purchase the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer set 3 1/2 years ago brand new. I figured being a Maytag it would last for a long time but nope I was wrong??? I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase a Maytag product also!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in March 2013 and the control panel failed in July 2014. I, along with hundreds or thousands of others it seems, discovered that this is an extremely common issue with several models of Maytag dishwashers. Rather than standing behind their products and making it right for their customers, Maytag is hiding behind their one year warranty and refusing to do anything about it or even admit they installed thousands of FAULTY control panels. This has been an expensive, infuriating issue to deal with and I have never been so dissatisfied with a company. Bottom line, they made a bad product that should have been recalled. It blows my mind that they are getting away with this. I wish I had known the recent changes in Maytag/Whirlpool and I wish I had done my research prior to the purchase.

I bought a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDB7749SBW2 in 2013. It worked great for 2 years. In 2015, the control panel malfunctioned. All the lights on the control panel would light up and the dishwasher wouldnt start. I called Maytag. They sent out a service tech. He replaced the control panel. I started having the same problems two years later, 2017. I called Maytag today, 9/11/17, to see if they had recalled this dishwasher. No, it hasnt been recalled. They offered to sell me a extended warranty for $400+, that would pay for the service call and parts or, I could find another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid dishwasher and depending on the model, I could get a 25-45% discount on a new one. I asked why they havent recalled this model, due to the problems that so many people are having. They dont know. Im writing this review to let those of you who have bought this dishwasher know, that the product is faulty.

Bravos X high efficiency... efficient at not cleaning your clothes, efficient at ruining clothes, sheets, towels, may be efficient at being a boat anchor. Maytag offers nothing. Have had washers last 20 years or more. Someone, or some atty. General should bring a class action suit. Horrible product. Dont buy one. DONT BUY MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL. I bought a Maytag dishwasher on June 2008. This new Maytag dishwasher replaced an older Maytag dishwasher that caught fire and was recalled (I found this out after calling Maytag). The new dishwasher (Model: MDB 5601 AWB) also had a recalled part (heater coil) in February 2011. Two months ago, (the unit is now 3 years old), the control board started malfunctioning (certain cycles no longer work). I called Maytag today (Aug 24, 2011) but I was told by a Maytag representative that there was nothing that they could do. After reading so many complaints, I am ready to file a class action suit. It seems that this company continues to perpetrate fraud against an unsuspecting consumer for they knowingly continue to manufacture defective products.

The Maytag Washer and Dryer we bought new and they have been great. The dryer was bought in 1972 and still works well. The washer was bought in 1997 and still does a good job. We are satisfied with the long time these 2 appliances have lasted. Do any appliances manufactured today last that long?

THIS PRODUCT IS CRAP!!!! I spend $699.00 at Home Depot, after 1/12 years the console stopped working. Maytags engineering staff should be fired!!! You stole my hard earned money. NOT once, but on a washing machine as well. I will never buy a Maytag product again. HEY NO WONDER THE REPAIR man sits on his ** the rest of the company does too! Machine (Washing machine front loader model # MHW 5500 FC1) purchased August 2017. From the start Service Dept USA told me to unplug and re-plug anytime I had a problem as this problem started right away right after installation. In January it was getting stuck on the spin cycle. Unplug and re-plug to no avail. MAYTAG DO NOT have their own technicians just so you know. In the my area they use two subcontractors. In January they sent out the first sub-contractor from Appliance Wizards. He is a one man operation I later found out. As soon as he saw that I had a stacked washer and dryer he told me that this was my problem. He pushed a bunch of buttons on the machine, obviously re-setting the motherboard in a different way than unplug and re-plug and told me that there was nothing wrong with my machine. Not true. Machine was getting stuck again. Called Whirlpool service USA again. Told them not to send the same company. This time they sent JC Service. Excellent company. Kyle came out, identified that it was the motherboard. He claimed that they had other consumers with the same problem but that MAYTAG has corrected the problem and he went ahead and ordered a new motherboard. Waited 8 days and Kyle and another serviceman came and installed the new motherboard two days ago. Yesterday I put in my first load and the whole machine went dead. Kyle came again. He claims it is the motherboard again and he ordered a new one. I called Whirlpool service USA and spoke to Tina. All I wanted them to do is to ship my now, third motherboard quickly by courier so that I would not have to wait another 8 days without a washer. Her resolution was to extend my warranty by 6 months. I advised her that I had purchased a 4 year warranty but if they did not fix it so I can use it, even a ten year warranty would be of no use. So then she went and started reciting THEIR RULE OF LAW with regards to their protocol and told me that if needed they will replace my motherboard as many times as needed. She would not address sending the motherboard quickly. I asked for a supervisor several times and finally she agreed to put me through to the supervisor. She was worst than Tina. She agreed to check with the parts department and if possible she would ship it out by courier. I asked her to keep me on hold while she checked. She came back saying that they were not answering and that IN FACT they could not ship it out expeditiously. So, IN OTHER WORDS, SHE WAS LYING TO ME TO GET ME OFF HER LINE!!!! I asked her to give me the e-mail address of the EXECUTIVE OFFICE for Whirlpool. She claimed that she did not have their e-mail address and that the only way to communicate with them was by snail mail. I checked the internet and found a telephone number for the Executive office in Mississauga. I called them. The menu asked to push 5 for... get this... CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE... I pushed 5, followed by a bunch of beeps and a busy signal and disconnect. I tried 3 times. So there you go. This is their way of giving you a Customer Experience. Then I found a number for the Executive office in the USA. I was able to reach Latisha from the executive team and she assured me that if I were a USA resident she would have that motherboard shipped to be by courier right away. Because I am in Canada she was going to contact them to give me a call but that now I had to wait till Monday. 4 days to get back to me from Canada. Yet when it comes to service and parts, everything is arranged in the USA and everything comes from the USA because it is more cost effective for them. Who cares about the consumer. By then the motherboard will have left three days to arrive. 7 days take away 4 equals 3, take away a day for courier, depending on what time they call me on Monday, otherwise you have to take away two days, and then it will be all for nothing. But again, they must have so many complaints at the EXECUTIVE LEVEL, that they cannot call right away. So folks, note that Whirlpool has not recalled these machines with a defective motherboard, they are still selling them to unsuspecting consumers. They are not making an effort to send them out quickly or keep some in stock locally. BUT THE WORST OF ALL IS THAT THEY ARE REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARDS WITH OTHER DEFECTIVE MOTHERBOARDS!!!! This is outrageous!!!! I shall update my review once I hear from the very busy executive office for client care, and again once the new motherboard goes in. I purchased my Maytag HE washer from Home Depot. I immediately started getting spots on my clothes that looked like bleach had taken the color out. After trying 3 times to get a tech to my house, he came in and looked at it a few minutes. He said nothing was wrong and to run a cup of water through it. I called back the next day (5/17/11) and told them Im still having problem. They told me to call the appliance team and have a different tech come out. I called and left a message. No one called me back. I called the next day and asked for a supervisor (Kitty), who gave me specific numbers to call. I called an appliance repair, who was leaving on vacation and gave me yet another person to call. Finally, I got Scott out to look at the washer on 5/27/11. He said the only thing he sees wrong is it got very sudsy, so use less soap. I started using the smallest amount of soap and diluting it with water, running the washer on the bulky cycle and running water through the machine if I ever used bleach. Did it solve the problem? No. Finally in December 2011, the machine ruined a very expensive shirt. I called Maytag and was informed that if a tech comes out, I would have to prove the machine has failed or they would charge me. I have contacted Maytag and informed them of everything, including all of the damaged clothes. I was told they could not compensate for consumer error. I informed them the only error I made was buying a Maytag product, and I will never make that expensive error again.

Overall- I think washers aren’t made to last like they once were. Growing up- we had the same washing machine while living at home. It seems now- they only last 10 years if you are lucky. They should make more longer lasting machines.

We purchased a gas range and over the range Maytag microwave a few years back and have had problem after problem with the microwave. Weve had 3-4, maybe more, repairman here and they replaced pretty much everything. Its been going for about a couple years now without a service call, but it went out again today. Very frustrating when you spend good money on junk. We are now to the point that we either replace it with another brand or we just put in a hood and have a microwave on the counter. Just so frustrating. I would not recommend Maytag over the range microwave to anyone!

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

I bought the Maytag Bravos Series 300 Dryer in 2009. In September 2011, the dryer wont start. I called Maytag. They basically said were on our own. It only lasted two years. What happened to appliances that lasted 10 years? I will never buy a Maytag dryer again.

I had a Maytag dishwasher that I purchased around 2005. I had no issues with it at all. Then, I got a notice that it was being recalled due to a fire hazard. My options were to either get a repairman to come out and fix it, or get a credit towards a purchase of a new dishwasher. I chose the second option. Even after getting a credit, the purchase cost was way more than my original dishwasher. I purchased the new dishwasher in June of 2010. Last spring (May 2012), I noticed a gap in my hardwood floors around the sink. A flooring rep looked around and said he would bet that theres a leak either at the sink or the dishwasher. I took off the front kick-plate to the dishwasher and discovered a wet spot. I monitored that area and discovered the leak coming from under the dishwasher (around the float switch). It wouldnt leak all the time, but every now and then, it would leak half to a full cup of water. I had the hardwood floor fixed (cost $350). At the same time, I schedule a service repair through Maytag. They sent a rep from a local repair company (Convenient Appliance Service, Inc.). The service rep couldnt identify the cause of the leak but said it was more than likely the seal around the door. So, I paid another $160 to get the repair done. I monitored the leak for a week and had no problems, so I put the kick-plate back on. In September 2012, I noticed a wet spot in front of the dishwasher. I took off the kick-plate and discovered that the dishwasher was leaking again. This time the leak was worse. It would leak 1 to 2 cups of water during a wash cycle. I called the repair company and they came out free of charge to take a look at it. The service rep said the float switch had gunk build up in it. He cleaned it out and said that should fix the problem. I monitored the area for 2 weeks and everything seemed to be fine. Last week (March 2013), I noticed some gaps in the hardwood flooring around the sink and dishwasher. I pulled off the kick-plate and discovered a wet spot. I ran the dishwasher and discovered that it leaked a ton of water (over 4 cups). I contacted the repair company that came out last time, and they said they would have to charge me $100 plus to come out and take a look at the problem. The rep recommended contacting Maytag. I contacted Maytag and they said I would either have to pay $129 for a service call (not including cost for parts), or $269 to get covered under their Repair Plus 1 program (everythings covered and it adds 1 year of warranty my dishwasher). I asked at what point Maytag would replace a dishwasher. The rep said when it is deemed unfixable. Other than that, they just keep coming out if I have issues. Part of me thought I need to cut my losses and just rip out the dishwasher and get a new one (cost somewhere around $700). But I went with the Repair Plus 1 program in hopes that they can resolve the issue. But Im definitely going to have to get the hardwoods ripped out again. It looks worse than before. It’s probably going to run another $500.

I recently bought a home that had a Maytag Neptune set. While they were newer than mine, I sold my Kenmore set, dirt cheap. Last night when I opened the washer door to take the load out, smoke billowed out. Im sick about this. There should be a recall on these washers!

I purchased the washer 12 months ago. I liked large tub size and Maytag name. Thought I had made a good purchase. Boy am I am sorry. The washer overflows my large utility sink for drainage on large load setting and clean setting, ruining the flooring in an adjoining room. You cant wash black clothes in it leave white residue spots all over clothing. You cant use pod soap. Doesnt dissolve totally. Just on your clothing so you must wash again. So now I am trying to figure out what I can do but afraid I am going to replace it. Would Not recommend this product. Bravos XL MCT MVWB835DW1.

I’ve had this new stove just over a week. Used 3 times (I just moved). I have cooked on staying already on the ceramic top. I’ve had a ceramic top stove for over 20 years with barely a mark in it. Terrible. I’ve left a message with the store with no reply.

Maytag Bravos 300 Electric Dryer - Purchased dryer 2011 and a computer part went out and Maytag wants $418.66 for a computer part. This dryer was used only 6 months a year. Poor attitude about repairing from Maytag and they would not do anything to make us happy with product. A dryer that goes out in 3 years is robbery. Maytag should repair and make customers happy but they just dont care. Anyone who buys a Maytag or Whirlpool product should have their heads examined. I tried to talk sense to Maytag representative but to no avail. I am now going to make sure all of southern Indiana knows of my problem with this product. Those who know me know I have the ability to contact thousands of southern Indiana and Louisville residents.

We bought a Maytag range Nov 2013. My daughter has maytag appliance and stand by maytag. We grew up with maytag. But those days are no longer. It is not about quality, it is about how many did we make, how many did we sell. I am very disappointed with my range. I tried several times to use my upper oven, in disbelief my lower oven was heating. This happened so much that I touch to make sure that the Correct oven is on. I also have problems with my knobs for my burners. I could not turn off burner after finished cooking. We had to unplug range and turn off gas, if we did not do that the burner would have remain burning. This very uncomfortable for us.I still believe in maytag. I am sure we have not talk to the right person. There is too much at stake for the company, too many complaints are bad for any business. I too am a victim, very disappointed, I wont give up. I have a warranty with home depot and they have been great. It is not their product but they sold it. I hope everyone with a lemon will get problems solved. We only want what we pay for, even manufacturer when they buy other products they want quality as well, we all do. Hoping everyone will be able to get justice. Thank you.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. We bought 10 18-lb washers about a year ago. They are a maintenance nightmare. For example on June 5 7 out of 10 machine were out of service. One has been down since Jan 20 and the others for various lengths of time. The guarantee for these machines has been misleading since the parts for repair are never available. We are losing business and money because of the Maytag failure to provide equipment that operates as advertised. We need help now.

I purchased a Maytag microwave oven on July 22, 2011. It was delivered August 2. Model no. MMV4203DW, serial no. CK01001086. I paid $279 at Lowes Spokane Valley WA. I made a family brand name dinner for six in the original black carton, put the rack into the microwave, followed all the directions as the microwave was new. The carton melted inside and burned a place where the rack had rested. This melted before the time was up. I had followed all the directions. This was the first incident that was a problem. Next incident was a large bag of popcorn (microwave has two settings for popcorn--large or small). This burned the bag black before the allowed automatic setting. Third incident was another bag of popcorn, which resulted to a fire. I tried putting it out with a large lid, which now has permanent black smoke stains. The fire was so hot I could not remove the popcorn bag. I had to use two pancake spatulas to throw it outside where it continued to have flames and burned itself out. The next fire was with a baked potato. This was set for a regular potato setting. This fire was great flames. I tried putting this out with salt and a pan lid. I also removed it with a large metal strainer, an Asian type which is large, and used another spatula to scoop the flaming potato and took it outside while it continued to burn. This time the microwave burned itself out. All lights would not function so I unplugged it from the outlet. I have repeatedly told Ava that I had previously owned a Kenmore convection microwave and the only time I used the rack was when I baked something. She continued to ignore this and said that I used the rack to make popcorn, baked potato, etc.

We purchased washer at Sears 6 years ago. Have had same issues for 5 or more years. Sears has been out to check it 6 to 7 times! They clean it out, tell me to use (expensive) Affresh tablets monthly, problem solved but it never is! When we run our washer and walk in laundry room it smells like a sewer. If we open lid its even worse. I use Norwex all naturally, biodegradable laundry detergent. There is nothing Ive done to create this smell. Its a manufactured problem that probably relates to ALL the other issues with this crappie washer that Maytag will do nothing about. I called Sears for 7th or 8th time, said they could send someone out AGAIN, I said thats a waste of my time and yours. They told me to call Maytag. They wont do anything (warranty is up). Of course there are NO ISSUES OR RECALLS on this washer and obviously there should be with not ONE good review! Im angry. You all should be too. We paid good $ for a product that used to have a good name and they are screwing us. I think we should ban together with a class action lawsuit. Please give me your thoughts. They know something isnt right and they shouldnt get away with this.

My husband and I bought a Maytag dishwasher, Stove and Fridge. We were very reluctant because at our prior home we had Maytag appliances and they kept going out. Against our better judgement when we moved into our new home we decided to go with Maytag once again. First the dishwasher front panel stopped working. We had it replaced and it cost over 250.00 with replacement part and labor. Not a week later went by when our Fridge went out, that cost us another 300.00 plus to fix. Keep in mind we had only had these appliances for about 14 months. Less than a year of replacing the dishwasher panel it has gone out again. This is very frustrating and expensive. I dont usually write comments, but felt the public needed to know that Maytag has poorly made appliances. I recommend you spend the extra couple of hundred bucks and buy the better brands and warranties. Thank you.

We received our new Maytag French door refrigerator today via delivery and got everything set up and magnets stick to the front. The last I checked magnets should not stick to stainless steel. So I called the Menards where we purchased the refrigerator almost 2 1/2 weeks ago and the store manager said there was metal liner under the stainless steel and states this on the technical specifications. And everywhere I went to look under the technical specifications NOWHERE does it state there is a metal liner underneath and even if there was the top is stainless steel regardless so why would magnets stick to it. I paid for a Maytag and basically got a cheap piece of crap Frigidaire or Whirlpool and paid extra for Maytag to stick a Maytag label on it. What a joke. If I have any other problems I will personally deliver this refrigerator to Maytag/whirlpool corporate and put it on the front step. I am VERY ANGRY!!

I purchased my Maytag washing machine in June 2011 and within the first couple of uses, noticed that my clothes did not appear clean. I went back to Home Depot and complained and was told I had to use HE laundry detergent and I was. I gave it a while longer and still, nothing I washed ever seemed to come out clean. Sometimes, the fabric softener dispenser fills with water; other times the fabric softener remains in the dispenser. The machine makes very loud clunking noises during the wash cycle. I knew this machine was a lemon from the get-go. I should have insisted that Home Depot come take it away. I will never buy a Maytag appliance again! Maytag should have recalled this washer long ago and, if there was a Class Action law suit, I would surely join in!

I purchased a Maytag Epic Z Front Load Washer less than 5 years ago, and there is only 1 person in my household. I replaced a part that the technician said was bad for $300 and that didnt work, so they replaced another part for another$ 200. Then, when that didnt work, Whirlpool deemed my washer irreparable, and they will not stand behind their product. This is totally unacceptable, and I will never buy another Whirlpool product. I will also tell others that they do not stand behind their product. If this was a 20 year old product, I would understand but it is not typical for something like this to happen.

Like the other poor reviews here- this Bravos top load washer is the worst. So wish we had returned it!!! There is never enough water in the machine on normal cycle to get all the clothes wet so how in the world would anyone expect the clothes to get clean? Just ridiculous - and whoever invented this machine, plus those who tested it, need to have their head examined! Hate it so much.

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher (Model: MDBH949AWS2) from Home Depot on 07 April 11 and it died 24 August 11. I called Maytag to set up an appointment for repair. The repair person showed up and stated that the control panel needed to be replaced. Apparently, if moisture gets into the panel it shorts it out. One would think that when designing an appliance that utilizes water and creates steam, it would be sealed. Anyway, the repairman explained that because the dishwasher was in a residential program, the warranty was null and void. I wish that someone would have explained this before I purchased it. I went online to AppliancePartsPro.com and ordered the part for $100.75 including the shipping cost. Then, I went back online to look up how to install the panel. The repair person said that they are charging $133.00 for the part and $129.00 to install. A small star tip screwdriver and 15 minutes was all it took to fix. From what I have read, this will not be the last control panel but, at least, I know how to fix it. Another thing that I know is that Maytag is off my list of future appliance purchases regardless of where Im using them.

Maytag front loader 5000 series error codes - After using my washing machine for 3.5 years, under light duty, I have an error code of SUD and F35 indicating that the pressure switch has failed and needs replacement. I will need to buy a new pressure switch out of pocket and replace.

Just purchased a maytag dishwasher from home depot. I did the install myself. The dishwasher will not work at all the panel lights up, but no water goes into the washer. I now must wait two days for repair. After reading all the other reviews, I am thinking about returning it for another brand. And yes the water supply is on. I have hooked up several dishwashers. This is the first time a brand new one did not work right from the store.

The microwave is 5 years 6 months since purchase model MMV4203DS. Fire started at rack clip left front rack, was cooking bacon. Called Maytag and according to them and manual on page 3 is only for 2-level cooking to avoid damage to microwave oven. DOES NOT SAY WILL CATCH FIRE OR THE RACK CAUSES SPARKS AND BACON SHOULD NOT BE COOKED IN A MAYTAG MICROWAVE. But according to Representatives of MAYTAG ** its my fault for not reading my manual. YES AND NOT HAVING THE SERIAL NUMBER THAT IS ON A PAPER TAG IN THE WHIP ZONE. The was gone from keeping it clean faded out. So I cannot be helped without the model and serial number.

Water ran out of washer and flooded my garage. 1) Replace computer. 2) Wrong computer. 3) Water still flooding garage. 4) May need water valve. 5) Showed up didnt know what to do, then left. 6) Whole new tub - 3 hour repair - 2 weeks until they have time to repair. Still waiting. HELP.

The washer is making loud noises. I had a repairman out and he said the transmission was shot. This washer is only 7.5 years old and the set I had before lasted 19 years. It also was a Maytag. My mother, sisters and aunts have always stood by Maytags and I am disappointed that this washer being 7.5 years old is shot. The dryer to the set is working great!

My old Maytag is still working after 20 years but my husband surprised me with a new pair! Washers is just pure junk. Not enough water to hardly wet the clothes. They just rub together and get worn out looking, towels are rough and not soft but my biggest complaint is the AWFUL wrinkles! I have to iron everything! Only had it 3 days, called Menards and asked if we could return for an exchange or upgrade and they said no. If this is the best American Made has to offer, then I will look at the Samsung! Shame on you Maytag. Not one good review on here and you do nothing to restore confidence in American Made. I will spread the word - NEVER by a Maytag or an appliance from Menards. Neither one stands behind the piece of junk!

It has all the features we like and use every day. Timer, lights, fan, built-in Above stove, use minutes or preprogrammed Turntable, quiet, white in color, easy cleaning. Easy to replace filter and light.

Purchased this double oven back in 2012 and have had to have the control valves replaced twice because of them jamming and snapping. The burners are undersized for cooking and it takes forever to get water to a rolling boil. The broiler in the upper oven needs constant attention when using it because food cooks unevenly and burns quickly. The lower oven is great, convection is awesome. I have seen the Maytag repairman more from my stove than I have for any of the other appliances I owe combined. Maytag should stick to appliances that only use water.

I bought a new Maytag washer two and half years ago. One of the new HE (High efficiency) models. Clothes do not get washed clean. But not only that, now its not washing at all. My previous machine was a Maytag...Had it for 22+ yrs. I guess Maytag quality is no longer what it used to be. Disappointed customer!

The refrigerator is not keeping cold. The freezer is full of frost/ice. I had this fridge looked at twice in the past. Its about 6-7 years old.In the past, Maytag was considered a high end product. This is Maytag model: MVWB765FWO-Top loader. HE rated. It handles mixed loads without balance issues but I cannot yet address reliability. The new machine averages 7+ loads weekly and is in the 8th week of use. The overall performance is clearly superior to the Kenmore Elite it replaced.

The design capacity of the dishwasher is not conducive to cleaning a full load. Within 3 months of purchase one of the interior baskets broke. I will never buy another Maytag product again. I was a fool in believing this was a top of the line dishwasher.

Bought a Maytag HE top load washing machine (Model MVWB765FW) in Jan of 2019. As I write this the repairman is banging away on the machine to replace the gearbox that had gone bad. This is the second time a repairman has been out to work on the machine. The first time was to replace a bad water pump, which was when the machine was about six months old. Maytag would have you believe that Power and Durability Come Standard. So too, apparently, are visits from the repairman. To its credit it does a good job cleaning clothes - when its working. If youre going to buy this machine, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty - youre going to need it.

Purchased a Bravo set 5 years ago. Paid $730. For the washer. 4 repairs in 5 years. It is now has a bearing out and that will cost $450. MAYTAG used to be the best... buyer beware!

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator with bottom freezer and French doors, in March of 2015, Model No. MFF2258DEM00. Its adjustable shelves and adjustable door bins were big points in its favor, at least in my eyes. So far both the fridge and freezer cool fine. The automatic ice maker was never connected, so we obviously have had no problems there. However, within a few months of purchase the bar that supports--and provides tracks for--the vegetable and fruit bins broke. It was replaced, but within another few months it had broken again.This is a DESIGN DEFECT that wont be remedied by replacing the item. The bar, which is plastic, hangs from a thin lip about 1/2 long by 1/8 thick. Thats way too flimsy to support the weight of one bin, much less two. There is no way to repair the bar. The entire assemblage needs to be redesigned and remade from sturdier material. Its not simply the inconvenience of having bins that dont operate smoothly. With their track broken, the bins rest on the glass top of the meat and cheese drawer--and threaten to break that. Theyve already caused the door to that drawer to crack.

I loved my first Maytag combo unit and when that quit I bought another Maytag. The Neptune is a front load washer. I immediately noticed the door gasket getting moldy. I contacted Maytag whose response was leave the door open. Well, I did that and not only did I still get mold, but the light burned out. I recently started having trouble - the water doesnt drain and the clothes are still wet. Rather than have it repaired, I elected to buy a new washer/dryer unit. We bought a new Maytag fridge in 2013, french doors, ice maker on the bottom. In 2 years we have replaced the control panel on the front door 3 times. Each time the plastic panel cracks and breaks free. The last time they replaced the entire door, all on warranty. Well 3 months later it does the exact same thing. I call Maytag and they say, fridge is past its warranty period so no coverage. It will cost me about $600 to replace this control panel.

In 2007, we bought a Maytag Neptune Washer Dryer Combo from Lowes. By 2008, the washer started stopping operation at every rinse setting, requiring someone to constantly monitor the machine to assure that the button was pushed to fulfill the entire cycle. We called a repair company and were told that the machine was shutting down because the screen in the water intake was getting clogged with debris and was making the machine feel that the water was shutting off. Thus, according to the repair man, the machine was shutting itself off. He showed me how to clean the screens in the intake line and charged me about $150 for the service call. Within a week the machine was doing the same thing again. I pulled out the screens and they were clean. We continued to watch over the washer whenever it was doing the wash and continued to push the button to restart the machine. We live in a very rural area and there are really no repair services available without paying enormous fees just to get them to make a call and the wait is often more than a week.Shortly after the intake incomplete cycle problem, the washing machine stopped getting the water out of the clothes in the spin cycle, forcing us to wring out the clothes before putting them in the dryer. Then we noticed that the washer was leaking from the bottom rear all over our hardwood flooring. We went out and bought a new washer dryer based on reading consumer reports.The cost to replace this piece of crap from Maytag was in excess of $1600. We are only in this house part of the year so this Maytag product not only did not work very well over the short time that we owned it, but it was only being used for a few months out of the year. We have since learned that there was a class action suit over this product line and would like to know how to join the suit. We are so far out in the woods that we will not get our new washer / dryer until some 2 weeks out from our purchase. We have spent nearly $3,000 since 2008 on washer dryers, an average of $1,000 a year.

I had purchased a brand new Maytag refrigerator and in less than a year, the ice dispenser stopped working. I had called Maytag warranty department in regards to this matter and they flat out said, There is nothing we can do about it. I will never deal with this company whatsoever and wouldnt recommend it to anyone about it. Less than a year and they refuse to fix the item they sold. No better than a used car lot attitude.

We finished a kitchen tear out and full remodeling. From top to bottom adding the Maytag double oven insert into our cabinets. We checked out reviews and MANY stated that the oven's fans were LOUD! But we've had them now for 4 months and the reviews do NOT give an accurate account in my opinion. My wife loves using the ovens for all sorts of cooking and baking projects and the units are NOT LOUD at all. You'd have thought from what we read about the ovens that we were making a bad purchase but that's not the case. Quiet, even cooking and a GREAT PURCHASE. If your ovens are loud when cooling something must be wrong! Or maybe we got LUCKY!? I don't think that's the case at all but then I haven't used other's ovens only ours and we are pleased!!! 5 STAR for sure.

My Neptune has been a great washing machine. I did have to change the door gasket twice and just recently changed the bearings. My machine sounded like a jet engine. I ordered the parts on eBay, watched a YouTube video, and fixed my Neptune washing machine. Its still working and runs quietly.

I bought a Maytag laundry set (washer and dryer, models MVWC565FW and MEDC555DW, respectively), and I concur with the fact that this is the WORST laundry set I have ever owned. The clothes came out of the washer extremely dry and did not come out as clean as expected. In addition, clothes came out with strange spots, especially the dark ones. Now, we wash our dark clothes with fear of damage them. The dryer is also pathetic. I put in a normal load on high for 60 minutes, and theyre still very damp. Sometimes I have to repeat the cycle 2 or 3 times. When I compare it with my old laundry set, this is extremely disappointing. And to make things worse, the customer service department doesnt answer you. I sent them a mail, on February 2018, and a month and a half later, I havent heard back from them.

1 year 4 month old fridge went out. Waited a month for part/repair. No help from customer service. $1200 fridge, $700, lots of angry calls, no luck. Customer service is horrible. I have ALWAYS bought MAYTAG since the 1970s. But MAYTAG is no more. Whirlpool bought them out. I have an HE (first mistake)... HE... will go away just like low flow toilets did!!! You cannot wash clothes in 4 of water. I bought a top loading Brazos XL for $1100 (second mistake)... Have had it just over a year! I should have returned it but did not. Huge mistake (#3)... Repairman told me to get rid of it as fast as I can. Will eat me up in repairs. Now needs repair again for another NEW issue... The fill sensor does not tell the machine to load the proper amount of water. Now I cannot clean washer, tried three times last night. I am beyond upset. Repairman said buy GE! You can bet it will NOT be High Efficiency!!!!!

Purchased Bravos 300 quiet series wash and dryer 3 1/2 yrs ago new. 18 months ago the washer gives me f51 and ul codes. To repair this USA made washer will cost over 250 dollars. I see why the Maytag repairman is not busy. Cause after 2 years you gotta buy a new one. All these digital controls are made in China - junk. Ill buy LG or Samsung next.

Purchased Maytag 3000 series washer and dryer in June 2009. Like many other reviews, the washer is making a terrible loud noise during the spin cycle. I contacted Maytag customer service and was told wait time is 10 minutes and opted for the call back option. Received a call back from an agent located in Tennessee, United States and he checked for recalls or projects and found nothing. Offered a technician call in my area for $112.00 for 30 minutes to diagnose the problem. I told him that if he checked on the reviews, he will see many regarding this problem and a bearing issue at a cost of up to $700.00. The Maytag repairman is not only lonely but out of business and Whirlpool bought them out. I would never again purchase Maytag or Whirlpool products. We are seniors and do not abuse our appliances and why do they not last at least 15 years. Talk about disposal washer machines, who can afford to purchase them every few years. The washer sounds like a jet going through our house when it is in the spin cycle.

July 2018 I bought a new Maytag electric washer and dryer. After one mo. the enamel inside the dryer started come off in sheets. It was replaced with 2019 model which after 3 mos. wont come on unless you unplug it and plug it back in after using it. I am now waiting for Maytag to send a repairman to come look at it. Steer clear of Maytag front load electric dryers.

I have been very disappointed with the 2017 model of Maytag washer and dryer as the washer does not clean the clothes as it should. There is the inner part taken out with no agitator and I believe that is the reason that the clothes comes out not white or cleans as I am use to it being before with my other machines. I think they need to reinstall the agitator to clean the clothing thoroughly. The dryer takes longer to dry the clothing and it uses more hydro which cost a lot more monthly for us to have to pay out. I will never purchase another washer and dryer as this in the future.

I tried to open the door to put clothes in the dryer and got severely shocked by 220 volts. The dryer is only a couple of weeks old. The power cord wasnt crimped and it fell out of the diggings and electrified the entire dryer. I guess we were lucky it didnt burn our house down. I took pictures then I fixed it myself.

The refrigerator has been very dependable for over 14 years. The biggest problem we have had is failure of plastic tracks on drawers that break and had to replace drawers and other problems with plastic components like deli drawer coverlet, and door shelf door plastic. Recently we have problems with the touch control panel on front of door. Not working properly for ice dispensing and temp. control although temp is maintaining what we had set prior to failure of control panel.

Purchased a Maytag top load HE washer in November of 2011 & by Feb. of 2012, Maytag had to bring me a new one after a service call to fix lasted only one week. So at the end of Feb. 2012 they brought me a new Maytag Centennial HE Model# MVWC400XW3 & this one lasted till January of 2014, less than 2 years old & quit working. Had a service man come out to look at it & was told not only it would need a $400 repair but it was made by Samsung, but Maytag had their nameplate on it!! Called Maytag customer service line which took about 30 minutes of hold time to get through & was told, SORRY, LADY, we cant help you. Youre just out of $613 after less than 2 years of service & we WONT help you!! This company should be shut down, they are liars, frauds, cheaters, producers of poor quality products, uncaring, & sellers of the worst products on the US market & I hope the Consumer Affairs will see enough of these complaints about Maytag products & shut them down!!!

Do not buy a Maytag dishwasher with model # MDBH969AWB1. I bought this dishwasher last Dec. 2010. I could not use it for 2 weeks, because the door would not shut. The repair man came & fixed the door. Then when I actually got to use it and after it finished running the cycle, the tub was dripping with water all over--top, sides, door, bottom. I had to dry the dishes on the top rack, and I had to leave the door open for days in order for the inside to eventually get dry. The first thing I noticed about this dishwasher when it was installed was that it was smaller than my other dishwasher. I hate the design because of the way they have made the racks plus because it is smaller--it holds less dishes than my old one did. I could actually get almost twice as many dishes in my old one than I can with this one. Do they not think of asking the consumer about what they want in a dishwasher instead of going ahead and making something that is not functional?I am so frustrated with this thing; it has brought me to tears. I just today went to Sears and looked at their Kenmore dishwasher. It is designed more like my old one than any of the other makes out today. I wish I had checked this out, before I bought this Maytag. Weve always heard how Maytag is at the top of the line with no problems, right? Dont believe it. I will never buy another one. Whoever is designing these dishwashers need to go back to 1990 and take a look at how it was designed and then go back to making them like that. I loved my older dishwasher, and I wish I had never let them take it away. I wish I had taken the money I spent on this ridiculous Maytag and had my old one fixed no matter what the cost. I made a terrible mistake.If you have an older dishwasher and it has given you good service for years, I suggest you have it fixed and keep it, because you will not like the performance of what they are selling today. It does not matter what brand you buy, they are all designed the same. Just take a look and compare them. But if you buy, please check out the Kenmore. I dont know if the performance is better, but the racks are better designed. My old dishwasher was a Hotpoint. It was the cheapest one on the market, and it gave me the most wonderful service ever. The dishes were always very clean, the heating element was fantastic, and it always dried the dishes completely. I cant believe they would make a product like they do today and sell them for what they do. The heating element in them today is not as good or strong as what they used to make. That is why the dishes wont dry properly. You get way less than what you pay for. Thinking a new dishwasher is the way to go, think again. Please, if at all possible, keep your old one and have it fixed over & over again. I hate this dishwasher. What a joke on the unsuspecting buyer.

Whos up for a class action lawsuit against Maytag? I believe Maytag is making claims that are NOT true. I bought a new Maytag Bravos XL in Nov 2015. I asked the salesperson to point me to a deep water washing machine for Large loads. Salesperson sold me the Maytag Bravos XL MCT and made claims I would have 30% more water than the other washers. The sales pitch (according to Manufacture) is these smart machines have sensors that can detect how much water is needed. THIS IS NOT TRUE. My Maytag machine only gives me 1-2 inches of water on the normal and rinse cycles and maybe 4-5 inches on deep water cycle!!! Certainly not enough to cover clothes, towels or sheets. I immediately called Sears. Tech is basically being trained to tell consumers thats the way it is. This is the new future in washing machines. So, My recommendation - hire an attorney to get your money back!

3 years ago, we purchased all new Maytag appliances for our home. Within one year, we had issues with the top load refrigerator getting warm and the bottom load freezer getting extremely cold. After calling Maytag and getting horrible customer service (long wait on the phone, no supportive/suggestive advice, rude representative), we were given a phone number for a local Maytag repair man who charged $300 just to walk into the house.He was literally in and then out of our house within 10 minutes. His advice was to unplug and defrost the refrigerator for 24 hours. Thankfully, his suggestion worked, but should have been given to us as a troubleshooter by the representative on the phone with Maytag.We have had to unplug and defrost the refrigerator about every 3 weeks since. It has become very annoying and stressful. There is obviously a defect in the refrigerator that should be replaced by Maytag! I will never buy a Maytag product again.

It washes extremely well. Its reliable. The wifey loves it and thats enough for me!!! I have had no major mechanical issues. Since 2012 we use it heavily and every other day. I would purchase same brand if need be but Im confident that would probably be in 2024.

We bought a Maytag Neptune Washer and from day one in 7/10/2004, we have had trouble with the washer and Sears. First, it stopped working within eight months after we paid over 1300 for washer and master protection agreement. We called over and over from that day and was told we didnt show in their system as owning one and that we didnt get the master protection agreement. This went on and on until they finally told us on 8/2010 that they finally did find us in the system and that the agreement had ended a year before and would send someone (that was on 8/31/10) to do the washer. After having sat for almost six years, it reset itself and worked that day. I told the guy from A&E that it was the computer but that wasnt what he replaced so the washer went right back on in a month. So we had to save to have someone else come out from A&E to charge us 143.10 to say it would cost a total of 310.51 for the computer and that it probably wouldnt work for too long.

Add me to the list of people who hate this washing machine. It does not use enough water to get clothes really clean, leaves spots, is hard on clothes and tears them up, and the spin cycle gets unbalanced too easily. It has taken me hours to wash one load with a blanket in it because of the spin problems. I have not been able to restart the spin cycle without starting the wash cycle from the beginning.

I also bought a Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW and matching dryer model #MDG5500AWW in 2001 and within a month, I called Sears and Maytag. I told them about the terrible odor and mold growing. The repairman said it is normal and told me to use Tide detergent once every two weeks. The dryer had a major breakdown and I had to buy a whole header with all the electrical components. I too bought the brand name Maytag due to a good reputation that Maytag had. I never received a recall notice or anything from Maytag. I will never buy Maytag products again. I found out from a salesperson at Sears that Maytag was sold to Whirlpool. The salesperson said the reviews are terrible for Maytag products especially for my models. I will never buy from Sears, etc. What can you do for me? Maytag and Whirlpool need to take their responsibility for their products! I am truly lucky I did not buy a plane from them. I and a lot of people would be dead.

We purchased an entire suite of Maytag kitchen appliances in September 2014 at a cost of $4300. Have had problems with every single item. The MMV5219DH microwave was the first issue. After a year it began to give us erroneous display messages when we tried to use it. We would input the number of minutes we wanted the food to cook, and wed get a message saying CHK TIME/OPEN DOOR. Repeated door closings, resets of the time, etc. did nothing. Sometimes if we hit cancel it would work - other times not. Wed push every button on the keyboard and eventually wed get it to work - perhaps 10 minutes later. When I called the appliance store (Vics Appliances in Saco Maine) I was told to unplug it for an hour. Okay, that corrected the issue - for a few days. When the problem continued, sometimes unplugging it had no effect - other times it did. Eventually we figured out if we didnt reset the clock time it would work most of the time (not 100%). The Maytag refrigerator began to malfunction at the same time (not keeping temp, and the ice in the icemaker melting and refreezing in a big lump that blocked the door water/ice dispenser) so we called Vics again and set up a service call. Serviceman reset the microwave to factory specs and we will see what happens. He also reset the fridge to different temps, and 2 days after his visit it has again melted the ice in the icemaker and formed a blob at the bottom. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG!!!

Model MMV4205FZ3 microwave hood combination. No problems with open door signal yet. However, light over the stove burnt out. When removing, it exploded.No didnt unplug first. Previous microwave didnt have a problem with this. Instructions are useless. Didnt say to unplug and doesnt provide a model number for the bulb. Consequently, we have now purchased 5 different bulbs and they dont work. Tested socket and power is going to it. Rep at Ace Hardware said he had heard about this happening several times and provided what was to be the correct bulb -- didnt work.

In December 2010, we purchased our Maytag Quiet Series dishwasher model #MDBM601AWB3, serial #NY2916421. At first the sanitize light quit working about 6 months ago. Today, September 30, 2012, this piece of crap will not turn on at all. There are no lights on at all. We paid almost $600.00. As far as being quiet, oh yes it is quiet alright! We the consumers are demanding a recall. Look at the complaints! Its a manufacturer defect in these control panels. I will not be forced into buying another dishwasher or a control panel. I want this company to stand up and say theyre sorry and fix this problem for all of us Americans!

I also have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher. The front panel has stopped working. It was a horrible dishwasher from the beginning. The dishes were streaky on the top rack. And I had to replace the rollers after just over a year. The upper rack has rust on it. The Maytag double ovens I bought at the same time had to be replaced within a year, as the racks damaged the porcelain interior. I also wish I had found your site before my purchases. My husband is not working now. So, I guess we will be washing dishes the old fashioned way.

A little over two years and my Maytag dishwasher needs 300 to $450 in repair for circuit board or boards. The repairman said that they got cheap and left out a seal which allows moisture to get into the electronics, duh. They have a known problem but will not stand behind their screw-ups. Never again will I purchase Maytag, Whirlpool or any other product made by the bumbs.

Around three years ago, my wife and I bought a top loading Maytag washing machine. It worked fine at first but later on, my wife would constantly find socks at the bottom of the machine after the washing machine was done. The last straw was when another sock plugged up the pump and had to buy a new washing today on 12/29/15. My wife told me tonight that the serviceman told her that they were getting similar complaints from other people who were having that same problem with this particular washing machine made by Maytag. If I knew that Maytag knew that there was a problem with this particular washing machine of theirs that I would never had bought another washing machine from Maytag on 12/29/15 at all. I wish that Maytag would stand behind their product instead of selling this defective product to unknowing customers like me and countless others who thought they were buying a top notch washing machine from Maytag.

Bravos XL Like so many others Ive read, this is a terrible product. Washer constantly goes off on unbalanced load. After 14 months, the plastic tub disintegrated. Maytag tried to sell me the service and extend a warranty for $300 also. Just like all the other reviews. Wow, has Maytag gone downhill.

Purchased the very top of the line Maytag Washer and dryer.. Top loader MVWB955FC1 washer. I got this huge washer and dryer because I was tired of paying $20 to have my Cal King comforter laundered. Bad idea.. Yes the comforter fits easily in the drum of the washer but it does not even come close to clean.. Why no agitator..? It leaves soap all over it in addition to the dirty laundry smell.. The dryer is better but it takes at least 3 cycles of taking it out and un-wadding it to get it all the way dry. Now my wife just hangs it on the line.It has been just over 3 years Feb 2017 since I bought both units from HH Gregg.. Now the top of the washer around the soap dispensing orifice has rust bubbling up worse than my 25 year old unit I put by the curb.. Maytag support is no help.. “Sorry rust is normal and it your unit is out of warranty”. I asked If this would have been covered under warranty.. NO!.. Not unless you report it within 30 days.. We only use it once or twice a week.. What terrible service..

Maytag junk MFW2055FRZ00. We had to replace our reliable 15 year old Frigidaire side by side fridge when it failed due to a compressor failure. We should have pressed the service company to replace it or found someone who would. We were limited in replacement units because of built in cabinets, thus a smaller French door (so we have to open two doors rather than one) Maytag. Perhaps our 30 year old Maytag washer and dryer made us believe Maytag still offers high quality products. We were wrong. Everything about the unit is poorly designed, cheap and flimsy. The freezer drawer pulls out unevenly and the ice maker is primitive. Above all no matter what appliance you choose be sure there exist factory authorized servicers in your area otherwise warranty issues are a problem.

I purchased this washer in Oct. of 2017. From the beginning, it has not cleaned clothing properly and leaves a white residue on clothing. To get the residue off, I must wash the clothing again or sometimes it will come off in the dryer. The water level is too low to efficiently clean. I thought I would save water getting this but not at the price of multiple washes... What good is that? Since there is no agitator the clothes just sit at the bottom and move back and forth as one big clump, with just a few inches of water. I am sorry Ive waited so long since I am now past the point of returning this piece of junk.

Maytag Bravos Washer 300 Quiet Series Model MVWB700VQ0 - Nothing about it is quiet. Worked pretty well the first year. Spin cycle works too well. It twists and rips. The second year it needed a new pump because a dime got into it and cracked the pump. When you wash anything bulky you better sit and watch it because it will almost certainly go off balance. Year three Sd (suds or slow) code started flashing and washer stopped half way through. Not sure why suds because I only use HE Tide, no perfumes or dyes due to my daughters sensitivity. I use Affresh as directed and on schedule. Was told it was a slow drain, found two dimes in the filter and a lot of lint. Still not working and flashing Sd... stops half way, agitator moves left to right doesnt spin. When the diagnostic was performed, the basket spun but when it stopped it made a grinding noise. Now it might be that it needs new bearings! So much for the Maytag reputation. Its junk and I will not be buying another Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore or any other product from their affiliates. Not purchasing anything from Sears again either. Also I will be canceling my subscription to Consumer Reports because they highly recommended this product. Shame on Maytag. How do we start a class action suit?

I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendale, AZ in September 2005. I even bought the stands for them. With my purchase, I got the extended warranty for four more years. I didnt realize that I would really need it. I have had so many issues with the washer and dryer I cant even count - from the control panel not working, to the noise and the vibration when washing, or maybe in the smell of moldy cheese. I also have issues with the constant chimes of D5 code that keeps coming up on the display screen. After 2009, I finally gave up on calling the Maytag customer service folks to have someone come and service the washer because it was out of warranty. I just decided to live with all those issues.As far as my dryer goes, the rollers went bad and that was replaced. The burnt smell isnt so bad as long as you use a wire hanger with a sock on the end of it and clean the inside of the vent. Then try to vacuum it, take the sock, get it wet, and clean the inside of the vent again. This was the most expensive piece of junk I have ever purchased in my life (almost $3,000.00 with the stands and warranty).What really gets me upset is I had the Maytag people servicing my washer and dryer up until 2009 and no one told me about a recall of my washer and dryer. The only reason I found out about it was searching for the specs as the washer finally died and I am replacing it. Trust me. I will not be purchasing a Maytag. I know that Whirlpool purchased Maytag so I am not even going to consider Whirlpool either. Since Whirlpool purchased Maytag, Whirlpool should have contacted all Maytag consumers, (which they didnt), put ads in newspapers (which I did not see) or put an ad on TV. None of these appeared to have happened.By the way, when I bought my Maytag appliances, I was supposed to get a $200 rebate for buying the stands that never came. It must have gotten lost in the mail - as well as the Tide coupons for three years. You, guys, remember that too. I will never ever purchase a Maytag appliance or Whirlpool, since they own Maytag now.

Well Maytag, I have to say that I am very disappointed with your washer. When I put it on the bedding setting and try to wash a big load, it barely moves the load around. If you have a regular agitator to replace this useless one that is in this new washer I would like to have one. My laundry is barely getting washed and when you look inside the washer everything that is on the top stays on the top, not like the older washers where you could see that the laundry was getting sucked down with the proper agitator.

Failure to drain after 3 years. Was disappointing so repairman fixed problem, a fuse, in 3 minutes but charged $300! Since then I make my own repairs and have had no problems that I can complain about. Both Maytag Neptune drier and washer have worked well. Buzzer just failed.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWM2 on 02 Jan 2012 with no issues whatsoever until three days ago when it stopped working altogether and after doing a series of tests I discovered that Im joining a large and growing list of owners with the same problem. I never have been a fan of digital controls due to their vulnerability to temperature and humidity conditions or high impacts for that matter. Ive owned many dishwashers of various brands for upwards of 10 years on average each. This is the first one not equipped with analog/mechanical controls. Im hoping I can still find more of that type.

Bought the washer last week. Balanced it per installation instructions. Washed several loads. The darn thing goes off balance almost routinely. Have rechecked the level on several occasions and found it LEVEL. Contacted Maytag. The lady I spoke with said to just use it and it will level itself out. So much for Maytag help! This will be the LAST Maytag product I buy.
