I innocently purchased cash from BrandsMart a Maytag French refrigerator MF12665XEM 7, serial #K22311026 in 06/30/2012 in Boca Raton, FL. I assumed I had bought the last fridge I would ever need because it was supposed to be a product that never needs servicing, according to the wide advertising of the bored Maytag repairmen. So I did not buy a warranty. This fridge is completely useless 3.5 years later and I do not have a leg to stand on, Maytag assures me. The only part thats still working is the compressor, which is also the only part that is warranted! Coincidence? What do you think? I cannot afford to replace it. Neither can I afford to fix it.It started with water from the lower freezer pouring out on the kitchen floor. The next few days the cooling element in the upper fridge went, followed by the inability of the fridge to make ice. Then the freezer at the bottom went completely. This appliance was well cared for by me, personally, ever since I bought it. In a week, it was totally gone (with the exception of the compressor). It has been inspected by accredited appliance repairmen who have told me it is gone! Gone? $2200 gone? I am a widow living on SS, now with no fridge. I bought this appliance with what I made from the sale of my house, when they couldnt give them away in 2012. I need a fridge! This is South Florida and temps even now are in the 90s F. I demand satisfaction from Maytag. I was told their very best warranty would have only been for 10 years. I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL at the end of June 2013 because my washer of 14 years finally quit. On the 2nd load of laundry I ran, the machine began making a terrible grinding noise. It sounds as if I am washing a load of rocks while its on the wash cycle. I immediately called the local store I purchased it from and they sent a technician out to look at the machine. He couldnt figure out why it was making this noise, so he called Maytags techs for assistance. They had him run a battery of tests and they finally determined they needed to replace the motor. Are you kidding me? On a brand new machine?! Now Im thinking I have a lemon for sure. They replaced the motor and the machine continues to make the same noise. Ive called Maytags Customer Service to let them know about the garbage theyre producing and all I got was attitude. The warranty only covers parts and does not replace machines, so Im stuck in the song and dance of lets try to figure this out and see how they can make this piece of junk work. I then asked to speak to a manager. She offered me a 6 month extended warranty for free. I guess thats a big sign that Im going to need it since what they are producing is garbage. Whatever happened to customer satisfaction? Its now just the too bad attitude. Now, I feel like Im being held hostage by my machine because I have to take time off of work for appointments with service technicians. Wheres Maytags compensation for my time and the hassle of having to deal with this? I paid $1000 for something and I guess its too much to ask for it to actually work. I am all for buying American (the machine had a sticker, proudly made in Ohio) but if this is the quality of work that they are producing they should be embarrassed to work for this company. I will never buy a Maytag again and am making it my mission to warn others of my expensive mistake!

I bought a Neptune Washer in 1999. 6 years later (2005), it started making the 747 landing noise. It was implied that somehow it was our fault, maybe, something from my contractor husbands pocket. After all, it was a Maytag, and surely there could be no design or engineering flaw! (My daughter still has 34-yr.old one.) We were told the repairs would be so expensive. It would be wiser to buy a new one. Foolish me, I bought another Neptune to match my dryer. Of course, now this one has the same bearing problem and again its cheaper to buy a new washer. I am angry and not sure how to proceed. Any washer, but especially a Maytag, should last more than 5 - 6 years. I should not have to buy my 3rd washer in 12 years. And if I do, it certainly wont be a Maytag!

I wish that I had looked up reviews before purchasing my washer 6 months ago! No matter which setting I use, the washer never fills up with enough water!! I have pulled clothes out that havent even gotten wet, due to not enough water in machine! All due to the government regulated water levels on the sensors!!!! So, I had my plumber put in hot and cold water faucets, then he put a short Y hose on, so this way I can add water to the machine.... The only thing is, you have to wait for the machine to fill with what it thinks is enough water to get your load clean.... stop the washer, then add the water you need. But if it reaches a certain point, it will automatically start draining. So you have to watch and make sure you stop adding the water, before reaching that point!

A lot of repairs in 6 years from belts. It leaks water around seal on door. Only part of the cycles work. I would not recommend the Maytag washer to anyone. When I got it I expected or hoped it would last 10 years or more.

I bought a Maytag washer November Thanksgiving of 2013. This washer started giving problems three months after; problems such as the cycle stop turn over properly, the light would say wash but its not washing. It would just stop but the light stuck on wash for long periods of time. Press the pause/start/cancel button, it would sometimes start again and stop and let out the water quickly. The clothes would be filled with water and not wash properly. This the funny part, serious funny part. I contacted Maytag on countless time. They had me on hold so long I had to hang up; a hold for hour I am talking about. One day I finally got through. They gave me a number to contact because where I am located there is no tech. I never got anyone but the machine when I called the number after countless times of trying. I decided to called back Brandsmart, because I just think its not right and fair to me to purchase a washer for so much, to had it shipped for more money. It didnt last me NO time at all and I cannot get any help. Well! Brandsmart told had to have paid export shipping, something I never was offered and since I took it out of the country, there is nothing they can do for me. I hunted for my receipt and to this day I I still have it. All was offered was warranty parts and labor for a month, thirty days. I said no because I would not think anything would go wrong in that short period of time. Nevertheless was not offered any export shipping warranty like what they are trying to ** me with. Here is my receipt number **. I grieve presently how I was just robbed of my money so openly when all I wanted was a replacement.

Spent $2,000 on Maytag washer and dryer in September of 2020 thinking we were buying quality and a company that backs their products. Forward to January 2021 and were not able to schedule service through their website. Not able to get anyone to answer their phones. Called what used to be our local Maytag service and they told me Whirlpool took over Maytag warranty service and cancelled all the contracts for local repair shops. So, not only do we have a 4 month old washer I wish we had never bought, we cant even the Maytag to service it under their warranty! Never again...

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer from Home Depot in August of 2011. Today it caught on fire (Sept, 2014). Had problems with it from the start. Some of the issues include the washing machine constantly getting off balance even with small loads, not completely draining the water from clothes resulting in having to run additional spin and drain cycles, and a bad odor coming from the water that stays on the clothes (we even called a plumber thinking it was something with our plumbing). Well today was the best. I started a small load (one twin flat sheet and a pillow case) and about 10 minutes later I smelled a weird burning odor coming from the laundry room. When I opened the door to the room it was filled with smoke. The washer was the only appliance running, otherwise I would have assumed the dryer was the source of the smoke. When I opened the lid to the washer, smoke started pouring out from around the inside drum of the washer. It smelled like burned rubber and ash. Needless to say, I doubt this washer is worth repairing. We actually have had repairs on it previously (twice in the first year) and its just a piece of junk. Glad I was home when the washer caught on fire. I hate to think what would have happened if I had not been able to unplug it and it continued burning. Do Not Buy This Brand. Definitely do not run this washing machine unless you are home to monitor it. Maytag Bravos is a fire risk!!!

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. We have experienced all the same complaints. Loud noise, door lock not working, not enough water in the drum to wash clothes, and the bearings going out and it doesnt work. NEVER will we buy a MAYTAG again. To the scrap yard I go today. Thanks MAYTAG for wasting my money. Thanks LOWES for recommending this garbage.

After having had Maytag Highlander washer and dryer for 28 years in our early married life, and continuing to think that Maytag was a quality product, we purchased the Neptune front load washer MAH6700AWW. Let me tell you this IS NOT your mothers washer, nor is this Maytag a quality product. First it was necessary to install water pipe shock arrestors because of the water valve on washer causing shock in the waterline when it closed. The automatic Softener/detergent dispenser didnt work from day one.Coins and etc. constantly kept getting under flippers and couldnt be easily removed. I found that it was impossible to remove the plastic flipper without breaking a plastic mounting tab. On my first call to customer the Maytag Customer Loyalty Team, aka Customer Service (CS), I was told that the plastic flippers were not available as a separate part, and that the entire tub assembly with plastic flippers would need to be replaced. WHAT???????? THATS LUDICROUS. After temporarily securing the broken flipper to the tub, I thought Id call again about a week later to see if the previous answer was correct. On this call, the customer service lady (whose name I have), said the flippers are available and that she would send two at no charge. A few days later two flippers arrived, but were not the correct ones. I then decided to drill two holes in the tub and remounted the broken flipper with two stainless screws as a permanent solution.Two pumps needed to be replaced. One was replaced under warranty and one by myself. The one replaced by me was damaged by a coin that made its way from the tub to the pump. Other washer manufacturers provide a means of trapping such objects before they get to the pump. The wash cycle stopped unexpectedly numerous times without reason, after which the code 5d was displayed. I called Maytag Customer service. The representative didnt know what 5d code meant. Her suggestion was to call a service man. Again, I called later to ask and was told 5d meant excessive suds which wasnt the cause. Might this have been a control problem?There were three incidents of water discharging onto the floor from under the washer over the last two months, which caused water to cover an area of approximately 5 by 12 resulting in extensive cleanup in addition to damage to stored items. Since these occurrences were weeks apart and unpredictable, I knew the problem would be difficult, if not impossible, to diagnose, even by a serviceman. I concluded that it was probably a problem with the control; either filling too long or not emptying the tub before refilling for the next cycle. Thats when I decided to send this troublesome Maytag piece of junk to the landfill.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher, model MDB8551AWB, in 2007 and have kept purchasing maintenance agreements. From January 2011 to March 2012, I have had to have Maytag send out a repairman to replace the control panel five times. This is absolutely ridiculous, and the inconvenience. Plus the repairmen are surprised Maytag keeps on repairing this dishwasher and not replacing it. More the $2000 has been put into this dishwasher since January 2011. When calling Maytag, I was informed that the problem would have to be the same which it has been but on the same contract for it to be classified as a lemon. Well, it has now been four times. I will never purchase another Maytag.

Maytag Bravos washer and dryer both need replaced in 3.5 years! Control board had to be replaced on washer in under 2 years and now the replacement went bad in about 15 months. Maytag can’t help! Hundreds of dollars wasted. Dryer is not much better as the control board is now malfunctioning! DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG!

Tried various cycles and I hear water going in but don’t see any water. How does this wash clothes. I want to see water and soap clean the clothes. If I want dry cleaning I will bring the clothes to the dry cleaner. Never again will I buy a high efficiency washer. My clothes do not come out clean!

This one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Paid over $850 in March, 2015 for the Maytag Bravos XL. At first, we experienced leaking and now there is a terrible banging and clanging noise! Had an appliance repairman come to see what was going on. Apparently it needs a hub replacement and bearing replacement. Was told by two companies that it is not cost effective to fix it due to the amount of parts and labor.Aside from this major issue, I never felt that the clothes came out clean. Many times, the clothes would come out with detergent all stuck to the clothes and had to be rewashed. The softener and bleach dispensers are not removable and it is nearly impossible to get all the way into the cup in order to clean the mildew that builds up. The fabric softener dispenser always had gummed up chunks.Called Maytag several times to no avail. Was basically told - too bad its out of warranty. I have never heard of a washer giving out after 3 years! The worst part is that I have searched many places on the Internet and apparently the bearing problem seems to be a common issue with this washer. I purposely bought an American made product and am extremely disappointed in not only this product, but the company as a whole. The customer service department is awful. I will NEVER purchase Maytag or Whirlpool ever again. They lost my business for putting a terrible product on the market and refusing to acknowledge flaws. Interesting that this model is now discontinued, but they refuse to acknowledge the problems. Stay away from Maytag and/or Whirlpool!

Maytag HE Top Load Washer - We bought our whole house lot of Maytag appliances 6 months prior to when we would need them, in Nov of 2015. There was a great Canadian Black Friday sale event special, so we purchased the whole lot at Home Depot thinking we had got a great deal, however back then there were very little reviews on the washers, as they were fairly new. This is the absolute worst washer, I have to pause the washer after the water level that the sensor allows finishes and add at least a bucket more of water to cover the clothes and clean them properly and rinse them twice to make sure the residue from the soap gets washed off (I use HE pods, so not using too much soap). Certainly not what you would expect when you buy a high-end appliance. Im going to replace it, but I cannot even try to recoup any money back, as I couldnt/ wouldnt be able to sell it to anyone knowing that it is just garbage!! You would think that a high-end appliance company like Maytag would admit that this appliance is a mistake and offer the consumers that purchased this junk a credit towards a washer that will do what is expected!! Think about it Maytag... you have lost a lot of future business by ignoring the fact that this machine is not what you advertise as a company that stands behind their name. I am sure to tell everyone that I know about the disappointment in this product. I have a friend that has a LG HE washer and it works great... so no excuses about water consumption regulations... its just not designed properly!!

Dishwasher has been very dependable. Very reasonably priced and in over six years of service never had an issue with it. It’s a little on the small side for a large family but if you’re for less in your household-- works perfect.

Dual oven - one is a convection oven. Never used the bottom drawer so that was wasted on previous range. I purchased a white appliance to match my others. The white stove top is a pain. Too bad it wasnt black. I checked this model online and found a good price in the city. I contacted the local Home Depot and they did a price match less 10% - all a bonus. The ovens work great although I have not tried the self clean. I have read that similar models have problems related to the self clean feature - high heat and circuit boards. My plan is to have a fan directed at the top of the stove when I use it and the range hood fan going. The convection oven is great - hard to mess up a recipe with that. The dual ovens are truly a great feature - strongly recommend. The keep warm is great also - nice to have two things cooking at the same time. That being said - the bottom oven is low, but that is worth the extra cooking space.

I have had a Maytag smoothtop stove for over 20 years. The only drawback has been when someone left an empty pan on a hot burner. Some of the pan melted to the top which could not be removed. I have to get special pans to conduct the heat, too. Overall, I love it. It has a self-cleaning oven, too, which is a bonus.

I have had my stove since 2004. A problem I have had was when I asked it to clean the ovens, it quit working all together. A service person was called. Also sometimes when I turn on one burner, another one will turn on instead. Yesterday I turned on a burner to low, and it did not turn on at all.

Hello, My recently purchased dishwasher has leaked water within less than half an hour of the fifth time to be used and showed error: F8E4, dishwasher model and SN are: Model: MDB4949SKZ. Serial # : FA3003347. Registered: 09/11/2021, Ive been calling Home Depot who in turn asked the installer to check the connection, and the latter advised and reported its a manufacturer issue. And calling Maytag for several times but no response or action. On-line service scheduling of Maytag is not working!!! And the live chat is not helping, as well. Now my dishwasher is not working since more than two weeks, knowing that it has been installed only a month ago.

We are a family of three. We purchased our Washer and Dryer New, November 2011 at Lowes, in Lindale TX. I am disabled. I have had several spine surgeries and getting ready for another. I was injured at work and it left me crippled. I do not receive any benefits from my County Employer. My wife is a schoolteacher. We live on a limited income after my accident. We purchased this set with utmost confidence, our last set was twenty years old. We updated due to water, electric, and the environment. Our Maytags we had were still usable, it was just time for their retirement. They were hand me downs washer and dryer set. Truly! I dont know how old they were. When our washer started having troubles, it was making a horrible noise. We called Hughes Appliance. Theyre an authorized Maytag Repair Service Warranty Center. They sent Mark out we used them before. He stated the motor was not loctited from the factory. It worked its way loose almost coming completely off. This cost me a $85 service call. Mark also stated that the Tub Bearings were going out because off this. He called Maytag Customer Service and Dealer Warranty Service, said they wouldnt pay for the repairs or even the Service call for their factorys snotty WorkmanShip. I tried calling myself and got absolutely nowhere. I was polite, courteous and nice and they still Said, Sorry, We Know its less than three years old but thats the way it is. Sorry Sir! Have Nice Day! Its going to cost $389 to replace the tub bearings in top load washer. The washer only cost about 750 less than three years ago. Its the most expensive clothes washer Ive ever owned. One thing! If they dont make things right, I promise I will never own a Maytag again! And when I am in a store and see someone looking at their product I will make a point to tell them my situation and about my Maytag Washer. One thing is certain I can make sure young customer dont buy the wrong appliances while I sit patiently in my wheelchair waiting on my wife. Thanks Maytag! Its not What You Did For Me! The control board is not working on my 2 year old dishwasher. I now see this is a common problem with Maytag dishwashers. I have called to see if there is a recall on this problem and they said no. I have been told it can cost up to $500 to fix it so I guess it is a throwaway. I should have called when it was purchased as the digital buttons didnt seem right from new. What a waste of money and I will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool.

I have had commercial front loading washers since they came out (first was a Whirlpool Duet); although I like the capacity they have for large quilts and sleeping bags, they just dont seem to clean as well as the agitate-in-tub style, and they can take a ridiculous amount of time for a cycle -- wheres the energy savings there that they advertise? Im going to go back to the agitate-in-tub of water style when a replacement is needed. A lot of hype and expense, and plenty of experience with these on my part, but Im going to grade them a C, at best, compared to the agitator style washing machines I use to own.

We had this washer 16 months. We bought it new from Home Depot. The clothes came out with spots on them, white residue and grease spots. This was ongoing for awhile. The bearings went out after 6 months. It was so loud now the water pump went out. I was told by Whirlpool (they bought out Maytag) that water pump is on back order and could take a couple of months!! To fix the bearings and the water pump was almost 700.00. A new washer is 1000.00. We junked it and had to buy a new washer GE. We are sick about this waste of money!!! What a piece of JUNK this Maytag Bravos XL is!! We need to have a class action suit and try to get something back. This is ridiculous and they arent taking responsibility. Whirlpool/Maytag are rip offs!!!!

We bought a Maytag dishwasher 4 years ago, we had to have it serviced a few months after purchase for the soap & rinse agent dispenser not working, then a few months after warranty was up the buttons on machine wouldnt work, the control panel failed so we had to pay for a new one and install it... Well last night exactly one year from the install of the new control panel I walked into my kitchen to find it full of smoke and the dishwasher pour out smoke, when my husband came home he took the door off and sure enough the control panel was burnt and melted! Very scary. It is a very good thing I was home and this is why I never leave appliances running if I am not home.

My Maytag refrigerator has driven us up the hill and back and has taken us several months in order for us to get the issue solved. This is quite an expensive fridge freezer and the after service has been diabolical to say the least. All their service calls in the UK were handled by a third party and it seems that there is some sort of change of ownership between Whirlpool and Hotpoint so after all the previous visits by different companies the problem of water leaking unto our floor is still going on and now all their call are being routed through a major insurance and a utility company who are more interested in trying to signing you up on one of their insurance policies than fixing it.To make matters worse the contractors they use are absolutely useless when it comes to fixing american style refrigerators. I was told I needed various parts which would have cost hundreds of pounds or that the appliance was uneconomical to repair. All of which was untrue. This I later found out when after emails after emails Whirlpool passed on the contact details of a service agent ags refrigeration who came out and found that there was a fault with the water in line connector at the bottom of the refrigerator which they replaced.

Freezer does not freeze well. Causes most our food to get freezer burned. We tried turning it up and down but made no difference. Actually went and bought a separate freezer for meats.

I purchased this at Home Depot October 2013. The oven heats well. I like the upper and lower oven feature. The broiler works fine. I rarely cook using convection. The self-cleaning feature, to this date works fine. Dislikes - the stainless is cheesy and scratches easily. The knobs on the front are of poor quality and the cook top stains easily and does not come clean. Disturbing - the gas cook top has come on twice with simple bumps and gone unnoticed for a period of time. Usually, you hear the clicking with the gas turning on, but not always. MOST DISTURBING - last night, 1:30 in the morning, I wake up to the heavy smell of gas. Neither my husband, nor I cooked that day, at all. I walked out to the kitchen (opening windows along the way) and the right front burner knob was turned just enough to expel gas, no clicking noise, no flame. This being the third incident (that I can recall), I think this appliance should be recalled. The knobs are not secure/safe enough to be on a gas appliance. Aside from the hazard described above, I too am dismayed at the fact that drips go between the glass and there is no way to clean it. Another poor design flaw.

Not only does dryer come with missing parts and are told by Maytag 1 to 2 weeks for delivery or drive 25 miles to pick up one. You do not qualify for rebate even though you do not receive washer and dryer for 5 days after rebate starts. Should have kept my old GE was faster and got clothes cleaner. Was looking at a Maytag refrigerator not anymore with their service.

Our refrigerator is 2 years old and still under warranty. The ice maker had to be replaced. Now the water leaks on the floor. The deli drawer cover broke and when you get ice out of the ice dispenser it flies all over and goes on the floor. Our dealer has been fairly helpful.

I purchased a new Maytag top loader at Home Depot. They delivered and set up. From the first load, I have had problems with the washer stopping and jerking. Clothing becomes a tangled mess. I contacted Maytag, they suggested I make sure I put on proper setting for the items within the washer. I do not know how one can fail at putting sheets in the washer and putting the setting on sheets and they are so twisted you have to spend time pulling them apart. This happens to almost everything I wash. I believe that I have a lemon, still under warranty, Maytag believes I should pay for a house call. Home Depot will only forward the information to me that Maytag gives to them.

I purchased Model #MHW563HW Frond loading automatic washer a little over 1 year. The options are not for me. The quick wash is way too short 20 minutes, all the rest of the options are 51 minutes to 2 hours & 57 minutes! If you wanted to add some extra minutes to the Quick wash you are out of luck. Normal wash is 55 minutes but can last much longer, it takes forever for this machine to balance which adds time to the process.I had an LG front washer before this one and when the clothes came out they were almost dry, not this washer, they are very wet. Then there is the horrible odor that comes after you use it, Ive tried drying every area making sure there isnt a drop in it. Still the stench is unbearable. Yes it has a Clean Washer with Affresh option which takes an additional 128 minutes and you have to do it at least once a week! Thats a LOT of wasted energy. That just doesnt sound efficient to me, washing the washer. Why??? This washer had great reviews which I read, not one mentioning these issues.

Got woken up to the sound of my refrigerator ice lid flapping. Boy is it loud! Called Maytag and found out it was a recall so they will fix. They set up for someone to come out to fix the following week. That was a flop because they did not have the part. I waited 4 hours for someone to show to find out that Maytag scheduled the appointment for nothing - not only did they NOT have the part but they did not have a clue as to when it will come in. Time is valuable! Here we are 5 weeks later and my refrigerator is still flapping and loud. Has been calling Maytag for them to say that the part has been expedited. Well it has been expedited for more than 3 weeks now! Today they say that it will be another month before the part comes in! Not Good! This is such an inconvenience and Ive lost a lot of sleep over this flapping noise. Its an embarrassment when guests come over to our home! Tired of it!

I bought your Maytag model MDB7749SBW1 dishwasher on May 22, 2013. We bought Maytag because of your reputation...not because of price. However, in September, 2014 (2 months out of warranty!!), the control panel stopped working. I called the 800 number and the best they could do is to extend the warranty for 6 months BUT only after we paid for repair and control board replacement. This is not cheap!!! We were furious. I looked if there were recalls on this model but there is not (should be). Anyway, after we paid for repairs and a new control panel put in ($160.00 +- for part itself), we were very cautious about touching anything on that dishwasher. YOU HAVE an issue with design and I can give you link after link of other customers who have expressed the same thing. So, here we are in 2017... About 2 months ago, we noticed the exact same symptoms with the control board.In fact the ONLY way we could start the dishwasher was to turn off the breaker, let it sit for 20 minutes - overnight and then turn back on and hit the start button. We lost all control over the settings. Only auto clean and delay 2 hours were working. Yesterday, I purchased yet another control board ($179 incl tax and shipping). I plan to install myself. If I could afford another dishwasher, I would do it and never buy Maytag again. Maytag really ought to be ashamed and if they were truly concerned they would offer these defective parts at a steep discount or better yet, recall. I plan on submitting something about this issue with any consumer group I can find. I guess the only way to spread the word and perhaps force a company to respond is to post on social media anymore. This is NOT a like.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. Same issues as many others here, had to replace the main control board a couple of months after the warranty period was up. Funny thing is though, I brought the old board into my local electronic repair shop thinking it might be worth getting it fixed in order to have a spare on hand in case the new one was also short lived... He told me he examined the board and there was nothing physically wrong... The problem he said was in the programming or firmware. Unfortunately, he said Maytag does not offer an update and there is no way to clone the newer version from my new board onto the old one so it was garbage. Seriously Maytag? Hundreds of dollars later in parts and melted groceries all because you wont issue a firmware update? Also have water leaking out of the bottom of the fridge late at night so Im never awake to troubleshoot it. Considering how sporadic it seems to be, Im guessing it must have something to do with the defrost cycle... Have to figure it out though as its starting to cause damage to the floor and leaking down to the basement :( Never again Maytag.

I am online now because we have the same problem. Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old. Watched a video on YouTube how to fix problem and repairman said engineers who created design must have been on drugs. I think hes right. Very common problem. Have to call repairman!!

Maytag Washer and Dryer XL Bravos - The worst machines ever. I have had many washers and dryers and every one of them were good enough to get my clothes clean and dry without wrinkles. This washer Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryerdoes not clean clothes no matter which setting it is on. The dryer does not dry the clothes without wrinkles if it dries them at all. They are only about 6 months old, I have followed the book on usage and it still doesnt help. If I could pick these up and put them at the curb I would. If Maytag would take them back I would return them. Buyer beware.Updated on 03/17/2018: Maytag wrote to me and wanted me to give them my contact information along with any other info regarding their appliances. Still havent heard from them, and I assume if I do it will be like all of the other replies, Sorry for your inconvenience yada, yada, yada. I did check online for Lemon laws for appliances and there are laws for the consumers to fight the companies. If and when they contact me I will be sure to mention this to them for what its worth. I think a class action suit might be the answer for all of us consumers. If banding together would help count me in!!!

They are coming for the 7th time to fix the ice maker. Three full replacements. The bottom of the freezer had a buildup of ice, another call to repair. I know where the Maytag repairman is, hes at my house.

I had bought Maytag Dishwasher MDBH979AWW3 in Sep. 2009. Oct 2011, the dishwasher stopped working and the control panel had to be replaced, few days later, it stopped working again and the Thermal fuse had to be replaced. Now two months later, it stopped working again. Till this point, Ive spent a lot of money on the repairs and I wish I had used that money to buy a new dishwasher. Looks like not just the Maytag dishwashers are faulty, but even the parts they have are faulty. I will not recommend any Maytag products to anyone.

Dark clothes are left with residue on them, have to run another rinse cycle to get them clean. Been having this problem since we first got the machine. Anyone else having this problem or got a solution to fix it?

Approximately one week ago, the display on my fridge began to flash and ice door flap continuously opens and closes. Upon researching the issue, it seems to be a very common issue and a known defect. One in which was apparently a recall at one point. I was told by a Maytag representative that the recall was from 2007 to 2009 and has since expired. Expired? Its a known defect and should be the responsibility of Maytag to provide the parts and labor to repair the fridge. I asked for a supervisor and was told that one would contact me within 24 hours. Well, about a week later, I never received that call so I called Maytag again. This time I was told by the maytag representative and a supervisor that there was no recall and that it was a Quality issue. A play with words, in my opinion. Anyhow, regardless of the title the issue was given, I was told I would be responsible for the repairs and costs. I attempted to look up the recall on Maytags website and had seen the last two letters of the serial number to my fridge listed under the recall, but when I tried to investigate further, the site referred me to the 800 phone number I had been calling. Now, had this been an issue that was not a known defect and apparently a recall, I wouldnt be writing on this site right now. But, because it is a known defect that maytag is aware of, I think its Maytags responsibility to pay for the parts and labor for my fridge.

I contacted Maytag, and they claimed to know of NO issues with this fridge. I told them its all over the internet, many others with the same fridge and same problem. Anybody up for a class action?

We purchased a new Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryer in April 2012. The dryer has been nothing but a piece of trash. It has been serviced 4 times for the same problem. The first time, a thermo element failed and dryer wouldnt heat. Second time, thermo element failed and was replaced. Third time, thermo element was replaced and flame scoop was replaced. Service man called the factory to find out what could be causing this problem. Factory service recommended replacing gas valve. The valve was ordered and replaced. A couple weeks later, the thermo element has failed again, and of course, the failure happens on a weekend. We are a retired couple, so we might only have a couple loads of clothes per week. All of the repairs have been covered under the first year warranty. When you spend $900 for a dryer, you would think it will work for at least the first year!

How can any company with a reputation that we all have grown up with MAYTAG pull such a DESPICABLE act on its customers of 20, 30, 40 plus years ??? $500+ repairs for each of 2 boards in nothing better than a BOAT ANCHOR... This is was my first time experience to purchase Maytag Bravos XL (MWWB835DW) 5.3-cu High Efficiency Washer. I need it fast replacement to my front loader Samsung washer as it was recalled and had mold issues. I was looking for a High Efficient and Star Energy digital, glass top reliable machine. I may say that I was fooled by advertisement and promotion from the Advertisement and promotion from Home Depot. I did not know much about Maytag Brand but I was convinced by sales person and price promotion. Big Mistake! Huge! I am extremely dissatisfied with this washer, it doesn’t use enough water to cover the clothes! No matter which cycle you use, the clothes don’t come clean.I wash and re-wash my clothes and ending up paying huge water and electric bills as I have to use deep hot water wash each time and after rewash again! Not so High Efficient! After using this machine for just over 6 month all my white expensive towels turned gray and all my whites is no longer white. This washer ruin my clothes. Another problem that this machine doesn’t have small load quick wash and if you have a small load it will go through 50 minutes cycle and I still need another wash after all! If I would wash my king size comforter I still have to do it twice and it does NOT rinse all the water out! I thought I can do big load but this machine cannot handle big loads!My laundry days became a nightmare! I would not call this machine High Efficient at all! Company does bogus advertisement just to fool and attract consumers. This is terrible washer which make me think how possibly this machine is on the market and allowed to be sold? I did not notice problem till very late and I missed my 90 days return policy. Now I have to find another replacement. What a waste of money! I do not recommend this machine to my enemy. I purchased my home in 2008 at which time I bought all brand new Maytag appliances, well the above the stove microwave Ive had to replace the door handle because it broke off and the oven I can only use the very top or bottom to cook on and I cant move them, otherwise the racks will fall through. I have burned myself numerous times as I cant pull the racks in or out and I found that out cooking dinner and when I pulled it out the rack fell through and my dinner went crashing down and splashed everywhere. Due to this fact I hardly ever use it. I contacted Maytag with no help, told me to buy new racks and those did the same thing so it was a $100. It seems as though the liner cant handle the self clean heat and if you look at my oven, the left side is pushed in. If anyone gets help with this issue please let me know. My model number is MERH865RAS serial # 14348133LX. Oh and my refrigerator is a side by side and I have had to have it repaired twice because my food kept thawing out. That model number is MSD2651KES serial 60869476LV all of these are Maytag products and were purchased brand new from Home Depot.

I purchased a white Maytag gas stove over 12 years ago. It has been great and never caused any problems. I live alone and rarely use the oven. However, I use the stovetop daily for cooking. With continual use, it has a lot of nicks and scratches. It also has stains inside the glass oven panel that I cant clean. The glass would have to be removed in order to clean inside. This is why I give a rating of 4 stars. If I used the oven more frequently, I would notice if it had any problems with the temperature, proper cooking, etc. and could give a more accurate rating. I have small toaster oven and therefore, I cook practically all of my meals in the toaster oven.

I have a Maytag Bravos high energy machine that Ive only had for 3 years that has stopped working. After the cost of two diagnosis visits, estimated repair costs are $734 - more than I paid for the machine. As explained to me, these high efficiency washers are in their infant stage, especially when I bought mine in 2010. I feel I have no recourse except to buy another machine. It certainly wont be a Maytag or Whirlpool model! I did research the machines at time of purchase. I thought I was buying a top reputable brand. Guess I was wrong.

Maytag gas range 5 burners. Maytag is quality. Period. I doubt that other brands are made as well. From the handle of the oven door to the ease of cleaning the burners, you wont find better for the price. I look for quality and reliability. I read reviews. A deal breaker on any major purchased would be too many bad reviews and shoddy materials or construction. This range has 3 regular burners, one large burner and one small burner. The oven shelves easily adjust from one level to another. The controls are easy to reach and the timer and bake controls are easy to operate.

March 7th. My refrigerator ice door started flapping and the lights flickering. The next day it quit working. I called Maytag. They said they would have someone come fix it the next week. The repair service people called me back the same day to tell me that the part I needed has been on back order for 2 months. I called Maytag back. They told me to wait a week they put out an all alert for the part. I called back in a week. Now they tell me its 2 months. This is ridiculous and a huge inconvenience. I will not buy anything again from Maytag. $2,800.00 refrigerator should last a minimum of 20 years. This should be a recall. Thousands of people are having this problem.

Control panel is defective on my Maytag dishwasher. Found a phone number that was created to deal with this problem. I only had to hold for a few minutes but the first person I spoke to was rude and unhelpful so I asked to speak to someone else. When another agent came on the line I told her that only the normal and rinse button light up but do nothing when pressed. She arranged for a repairman to come to my house and determine if my control panel is defective at their cost. When he arrived he asked me what the problem was and I said, The touch pad control panel is not working. He stated, Your control panel needs to be replaced. I have to order the part and come back to fix it. He was there for about five minutes and he never laid a finger on the dishwasher. When I asked if the control panel design has been fixed he said, No, you will probably have to replace it again.There is a video on the internet that shows how to seal the electronics with silicone. The repairman said that they cannot seal the electronics unless Whirlpool provides a kit to do it. I guess the Maytag repairmen may have to come out of retirement. My husband will seal ours after it is replaced so we hopefully dont have to deal with this problem again. So now I am waiting to see if he returns in a reasonable time frame and gets my dishwasher going. There is a class action suit about this issue filed in 2013 about this defect.Updated on 09/23/2015: A repairman came to my home on August 20, 2015, at Whirlpools cost, and he determined my touch pad did not work. He informed me that Maytag would provide the part, free of charge, but it would cost me 85.00 for them to come back and install it in 2-3 days. As of today I am still waiting for the part to come in, apparently due to high demand Maytag was out of touch pads, which were out of stock. No idea of when that would be, the repairmans company said, dont call us, we will call you when the part arrives. So I began to look for the part myself, found a couple on an auction site, but most companies that sold parts were on backorder. Until I found a company that said their inventory was out of stock but they had five, stashed in the back. The price of 105.00 was not that much more than the 85.00 cost for the service call. Got it in two (2) days, installed (in about five minutes), sealed by my husband and I loaded it and washed my dishes. I was so overcome with relief, tears came to my eyes and I almost fell out. I give five star to the fella that had the part stashed until I needed it.The Maytag repairman is still waiting for the part so he can fix my dishwasher.

Maytag Neptune Washer Drum Bearings have once again failed. Last time, I replace the whole drum via diy, cost was about $160 for the part. Now I see that outer drum is $500 +/-. I just may only replace the Seals & Bearings this time OR just part this thing out and buy a real machine without the Maytag name.

We purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Lowes in the summer of 2016. The washer performed so so. Not a great machine. After only two years use, there is only my husband and myself, the transmission went out. The repairman said it would be cheaper to buy a new machine than repair it. Maytags 10-year warranty does not cover the transmission. We replaced the Maytag washer. I cant say anything good about Maytag.

Bought this Dishwasher two years ago. Control panel was working intermittently now it does not work. I am looking for anyone with this same problem. I know lawyers who are class action specialists who fight for the consumer. We need to make Maytag responsible for the flaws they have in their product. From reading these other reviews it seems that this control panel issue is consistent no matter what model you have. They must all share the same electrical components that is causing this issue with the control panel. My model number is MDB8959SBS2.

We bought the Maytag washer from Home Depot on 5/4/2011 and it quit working on about 7/2014. We had a repairperson look at it and he said the drive transmission is worn out. He recommended that we buy a different machine since the part does not hold up since the part is made out of a plastic fiber material that does not show up. We bought the Maytag because we thought they had good products but a 3 year life on a wash machine is not acceptable. It is installed at our cabin so we only use it part of the year on limited bases.

Lets see... my complaints are the same as the others. I purchased the Maytag Bravos set. They were the higher end units. At first, the machine was very quiet. I quickly had a control board go out. Got that fixed. Now the washer gets off balance on every load.... Every time it spins, it stop. The gears whine very loudly... Louder than any other machine Ive ever heard. I agree with the comments on wrinkled clothes. It also does not clean heavily soiled clothes as well either. Overall, a bad decision.

Is it any more water-efficient to run one large load vs. two small ones? The Customer Service agents would offer only a scripted response to my query. Could they tell me the minimum or maximum amount of water used (on average) by any of the cycles? Any cycle any condition, just an estimate, please. A universal it depends was all I could extract.The scripted answer? The amount of water used depends on the sensor and the exact conditions. Well, yes, of course; I dont expect a specific amount. Just as the amount of gas used by a car depends on the length of a trip and the speed driven, the amount of water used per cycle will vary, but nevertheless we know, more or less, how much gas is used by a Toyota Camry on a trip between New York and the Maytag Customer Service office in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I noted that, if Maytag claims to build high efficiency (HE) machines, then they must be HE in comparison to something, right? -- otherwise how could they claim that these machines used less water? Less than... what?** insisted that no one at Maytag could tell me the answer. He asked, What reason could Maytag have not to disclose this information? I know this isnt the answer you want to hear, but its simply not available. Not even a range of water use per cycle required/solicited/demanded by the sensor? Can Maytags engineers be so indifferent that they never tested any cycle for its water use, but instead they just imagine that, by virtue of its mysterious sensor, it was lower than the use by their non-efficient machines? Your help in getting to the bottom of what felt like an act of stonewalling would be highly appreciated!

Upon remodeling our kitchen about 4 years ago, we decided to put in Maytag appliances, one of which was the dishwasher . On Nov.29th, our granddaughters were playing with our dog when they ran through the kitchen and the dog started to yelp and went down and started to bleed. As she went past the washer her leg was sliced open by the bottom of the washer door. As it turns out, the bottom of the Maytag dishwasher doors has a sharp cut edge with no covers at all along the entire bottom of the door. We have also read about two children who have had the same thing happen to them. This is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. The first surgery as of now has been $3,600.00 because of cut tendons. It would be totally irresponsible not to warn all consumers of this extremely serious hazard considering most families let their small children play in the kitchen

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer at Lowe's when I bought my home-the price was great and I have not been disappointed in them-have had them over 3 years now. My washer has a stainless steel tup and is a top loader. The combo of the two was less than $1,000. The washing machine has deep clean, heavy load or light load, hot, warm or cool water settings, a hand wash setting and many other features that I think most consumers can appreciate.

Maytag range model mer8875ws - Glass top broke on brand new oven over most used burner then glass spider lined out from there. Wife called Maytag and they told her that it broke from the impact of something dropping on it. I guess the man was psychic because he had no picture of SO CALLED IMPACT SITE. Now they wont replace or fix range, ** Maytag. Paid 699 for range they want to charge me 900 to fix. MMOOORROOONNSS! Like ** thats how big business treats everyone now. Thats how big business treats people these days.

We bought a Maytag Neptune front loading washer from Bens Maytag in Surrey four years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. There is no screen in the machine to prevent small things (like coins, screws) from going behind the rubber seal and into the pump. As a result, coins frequently block off the outflow to the pump so the machine doesnt drain.We have had to pay for service calls more times than we can count, and have spent more than original price of the machine making repairs and replacing the pump. We now have learned to take off the hoses and open the pump to remove coins ourselves, which we have to do every few weeks! Bens Maytag tells us that its our fault for letting coins go in the wash. There is no accountability for the faulty design of the machine that allows this to happen. We should have cut out losses and thrown this piece of junk out three years ago. We want Maytag to take responsibility for the faulty design of this product and to credit at least our purchase price toward another machine that works properly!

Did not know of the lawsuit or recall. Now I have to buy a new washer after fixing it out of pocket and mad that cant get part of the settlement. Not ever going to buy Maytag again!!

I also bought a Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW and matching dryer model #MDG5500AWW in 2001 and within a month, I called Sears and Maytag. I told them about the terrible odor and mold growing. The repairman said it is normal and told me to use Tide detergent once every two weeks. The dryer had a major breakdown and I had to buy a whole header with all the electrical components. I too bought the brand name Maytag due to a good reputation that Maytag had. I never received a recall notice or anything from Maytag. I will never buy Maytag products again. I found out from a salesperson at Sears that Maytag was sold to Whirlpool. The salesperson said the reviews are terrible for Maytag products especially for my models. I will never buy from Sears, etc. What can you do for me? Maytag and Whirlpool need to take their responsibility for their products! I am truly lucky I did not buy a plane from them. I and a lot of people would be dead.

Ive had other dishwashers over the years. Ive had this Maytag now for almost 12 years and never had a problem with it. It cleans better than any others Ive owned. HIGHLY recommend the Maytag.

Big mistake. Worst purchase ever!! These high-efficiency washers (Maytag Washer Bravos XL) are the worst especially this one! I wash and wipe down the washer drum more than I was my clothes. I purchased it because it had a huge drum so I can wash my blankets and comforters. This washer leaves soap scum marks/residue on clothes and leaves it on the drum as well. I basically have to wash my clothes twice once with soap and then run again with just wash and rinse without soap, you tell me how efficient is that! Why not make a washer that put more water so the clothes can get washed properly. Dont worry about my water and electric bill. MAKE A WASHER THAT WORKS!I called customer service she asked me if I use the deep water, now you tell me why am I going to use the deep water, if that is the only way the washer is going to clean the clothes then do NOT give me 11 other options the washer to use. ONLY HAVE DEEP WASH OPTION. I dont care about the bells and whistles, I do not need a different tune when I turn it on and a different tune when its done washing my clothes. Make the washer the way it used to be WASHES CLOTHES WITH WATER AND LOTS OF IT. I will pay my bill not to worry. So I called customer service all they said was they will document my call! Well... like thats going to do me any good while I am stuck with your POS washer!

We are on our 2nd Maytag washer with the 1st being a top load with agitator and the second without. Both were also bought used. The 1st one broke after I was cleaning it so totally my fault but the second one the door lock broke. Aside from that they do wash clothes well and but I do wish there were more or different cycle settings. Overall they are good machines for out price. (Being used that is.)

Within the first year of having this washer (Maytag Bravos X series) the cam broke in it. And then about two months after the warranty went out, the motor quit. It wouldnt spin my clothes at all and would never get my clothes clean. I was having to hand wash my clothes just to get them clean. Not a very happy person, I live paycheck to paycheck and cant afford rock continuously pay to have my washer fixed.

Bravos XL Like so many others Ive read, this is a terrible product. Washer constantly goes off on unbalanced load. After 14 months, the plastic tub disintegrated. Maytag tried to sell me the service and extend a warranty for $300 also. Just like all the other reviews. Wow, has Maytag gone downhill.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWW2 3 yrs ago. Started having problems with it not filling with water after first cycle. After examination determined that the control panel/handle on the top of the door had broken away from its attachment points/screws behind the pane. Every time the door was opened this would allow moisture and steam to infiltrate into the door interior. And guess what, it now needs a new electronic control panel. After seeing all the other reviews, it is safe to say this is not the Maytag of our parents or grandparents.

I purchased this on sale at Home Depot, 1 year later this washer top load doesnt clean clothes if the cycle does finish at all. I have to restart the cycle, re-rinse etc, theyre still dirty. I dont have time for that, I have four children and my husband works in construction and comes home with filthy clothes that are just wet and dirty when they come out of this washer. I dont usually write reviews but I hope I can save someone else the hassle. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand, they all complain of the same thing. This washer altogether is BAD! ITS LOUD, it bangs around if I dont put in the tiniest loads, even then, they come out dirty. Dont waste your time.

Maytag Frontload washer MHWE300VW12 - I bought the washer and dryer in 2010 through Lowes. In Dec. 2012, it started making a loud sound when it would be in spin cycle. I called for service. When the repairman came out, he said the rear seal/bearing was bad and has gone out. The part and labor cost would be $1,184.36. Come on, are you flipping kidding me? Thats twice what I paid new for the washer. I bought them for the Maytag name. If I would have known it was a Whirlpool, no way I would have gotten them. My mother had a Maytag set that lasted 30 years. That explains why they dont show the commercials with the Maytag repairman that wouldnt have anything to do. Also, when the parts came in, they were Whirlpool parts. What a scam. Just more junk for our landfills.

CHRISTMAS morning Set oven to 325 for ham. Control board caught fire and burnt wires and burnt inside of rear cover. It got hot enough to char the wood wall behind stove. This could have killed my family on CHRISTMAS.

Dryer delivered nonfunctional. Tech showed up the following Tuesday. Diagnosis main board and one sensor dead. Tech returns following Thursday. Replacement board DOA. New dryer still nonfunctional. Awaiting new board with no functional $1100 dryer. This dryer replaced my three year old Maximus which was deemed too expensive to repair after three repairs. Please do not buy a Maytag/Whirlpool product.

I paid $958 + tax for a Maytag Bravos washing machine in August 2008. I live by myself, so the machine is not overused. Nevertheless, it began to sound like a jet airplane during the spin cycle. And then in May of 2012, it failed with error code F51, catastrophic failure. The machine was not even four years old. I called a certified Maytag repairman. In less than 5 minutes, he told me the cost to repair would be about $900, and then he charged $115 for the service call! A call to Maytag resulted in Im sorry, there is nothing we can do.

I spent over $600 dollars on a Maytag Bravo 300 series. The washer has cost me over $300 to fix the latch and 2 months later, it will not spin. I would recommend to anyone not to buy a Maytag product! Garbage! I had a standard Kenmore washer that lasted over 10 years without a problem, paid $300 and still sold it for $100. The funny part is that I sold it to my brother who still uses it regularly and has not had any problems. So what is money worth? Your call.

We have a 4yr old model MFI2665XEM7, just started leaking water every other day. A puddle wipe it up and its gone. Have ice build up on the bottom of freezer. Any suggestions on what to do?

Here recently I got a bravos washer x series because it suppose to cut down water usage. Well that it did. Now going on 7 months of having it now its starting to act up like when the cycle is done it will lock again and repeat the cycle all over. I use the normal or powerwash cycle and here recently how its suppose to sense the load and then start spraying the clothes with water and detergent. Well not here. Lately it still senses and spins and then starts filling up like its on the bulky/sheet cycle but its on normal cycle and it doesnt fill all the way up - just 4 or 5 inches of water. So I dont know what is up with this piece of crap and why its acting this way. Other times it will work fine on the normal and the other cycles but now its just acting all crazy.

This is not my first Maytag. Bought this one in August 2017 from Home Depot. Now all it does is make a grinding sound. No lights. Not anything but noise. I bought one without all the digital because I thought that could be more problems. The only part that is digital is the start/pause button. I liked the idea of less water and no center. It balloons the clothes when it is finished spinning. Didnt start out that way. I use the right detergent and wash it every 30 days as it suggests. Cant afford to call a repairman on such a new washer.

Brand new top of the line top loader washer. Lid locked mid cycle and couldn’t open it. Called Maytag. Sent a repairman out to fix. Three trips later, 5 parts, and over four months later, still broken. Unable to use washing machine. Been going to laundromat to do laundry. When speaking with Maytag, all you get is a sorry. Now I’m waiting on another part and then schedule another appointment to have guy come install. Maytag would rather replace every part, one at a time, than send a new washer. It is beyond ridiculous for a new washer to have to have all of its parts replaced. It’s a hunk of junk and Maytag will not stand by their product. Worthless company. Will NEVER buy another product from them. Their washer and their service is so far below standards, it’s criminal.

Had our house built in 2009 and the builder carry Maytag Appliances. After 3 years every single appliances start giving us problems. First the refrigerator not getting cold, got it fixed. Then the dishwasher panel, then the built-in microwave, then washing machine. Just the other day the refrigerator broke down again and I was told the compressor was bad. Really? Whats going with this company? All the appliances from this maker dont have longevity. I have 20 year older refrigerator from GE and its still working. Please do not buy this garbage... Its a waste of your hard-earned money.

We purchased a $700 Maytag range 2 years ago and recently the oven did not work. After a Maytag authorized tech came out and checked the unit, he proclaimed the circuit board was bad and needed to be replaced. Since these ovens only have a 1-year warranty - regardless of the price you pay - he said it would be over $450 to repair it. When I asked why so expensive, he stated that they dont price the parts - Maytag does. I decided I could buy a new range for that price and get one with a warranty so I passed. I then decided to contact Maytag because I was very disappointed that such a reputable brand would prove so faulty. After writing a very polite letter and emailing customer service, they replied with a pack of lies. They stated that they have no control in what the service company charges for parts and failed to offer any assistance. They did not offer any solution except to say, Sorry. Well, you can bet that I have already spread the word to all my friends and associates about this experience and my Facebook page lit up with comments after I posted it. I will never buy another Maytag product and will make it my mission to spread the word. I had a similar issue with my brand new HP laptop but after contacting them, they immediately reached out to me and offered to pay for part of the repair!! Thats how you take care of your customers.

My Maytag Series 300 Dishwasher would not start. I read the reviews and took the door off (easy if you have the right tool), removed the control panel box (one screw), and cleaned the ribbon with electronic cleaner as per someones suggestion. It started right up. This is a bad design. Would I buy another Maytag? - No way! We will see how long this lasts. There is no seal on the door to keep out humidity. Do we really need a new control panel? When this is done...I am done with Maytag!

We had a wonderful Bisque Maytag double oven in 2002. We bought new stainless appliances this year, and have been very disappointed with the range. Why do you have to hold the temp and timer settings one increment at a time to set it, and why do you have to push Start after that? Frequently we set the temp or timer and walk away, only to find that the oven or timer did not begin because we forgot the new step. When the timer goes off, you have to push it twice to get it to reset. The burners themselves have too many confusing pictures for the settings. What happened to low heat, medium and high and hash marks in between? The stove top itself is a nightmare to keep clean. Give me back my coil stove any day!!!

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Our motherboard on the washer went out after 2 years from purchase - just out of warranty. Motherboard was $550 so we bought a Samsung. Now our dryer has gone out for the second time. First time was the pulley assembly came apart. We self-repaired after watching YouTube. Now the motherboard has gone out on the dryer! I will NEVER buy another Maytag product. They are a waste of hard-earned money and have left me with piles of laundry numerous times. Maytag, you need a class action suit filed against you!

We purchased our Maytag dryer at Home Depot a couple of months ago. We just called Home Depot for the second time because the dryer handle broke off while opening the front load door. We called Maytag and they tell us to call Home Depot and the only thing they are willing to do again is fix the door handle which will probably break off again while Im in the middle of laundry and cant retrieve clothes from the dryer because there isnt a handle to open it.Im convinced the dryer has a defective handle, and the dryer should be replaced considering what we paid for it. But Maytag or Home Depot doesnt want to do that. I will never buy Maytag products again and thinking of buying products at small appliance stores who stand behind their products, instead of Home Depot who could easily turn our dryer over to the insurance company as defective for the loss.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos XL last month and within two weeks, we were noticing a BAD odor every time we used the machine. In fact, I just walked back into our house from outside and the entire house smells like old dirty dishwater and the smell is coming from the laundry room! This is a very expensive washing machine and we bought it because we thought that a Maytag would be better than the Whirlpool that just died after many years of repairs and aggravation. After reading these reviews, I wish I had bought a Speed Queen.

I was always told the Maytag was the best, to my surprise not so. We purchased a washer at Home Depot and it’s been a bad experience. Loud noise compilation in operation. Turns on then off so many times /not sure if that’s what’s its suppose to. Can’t get an answer. Disappointed for the least. Not what I expected out from this purchase.

I bought Maytag frost-free refrigerator last August 2006. But now, I noticed that ice builds up in the freezer. The product is only five years old but I was told by Whirlpool that they had discontinued making defrost heater. The reason why I bought Maytag was the ad on TV showing the Maytag service technician seating and doing nothing, implying that Maytag brand is a good product. Think again before buying Maytag products.

We purchased a Maytag Gas range MGR8674AB in November 2012. The contents of the drawer (oven mitts, trivets, hot pads) caught on fire. As we pulled out the drawer, it scorched the front of the range.

It has never failed me and I cant remember when we purchased it. When I grew up, my Mother only used Maytag Washer and Dryer. When I married (almost 50 years ago), I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer and have never regretted it.

We are on our 2nd Maytag refrigerator in 6 years and both units have failed. Maytag will not stand behind their product and the service company declined to come out to look at the unit because we were upset and contacting the BBB. So we have spent thousands on 2 refrigerator units that have lasted 2.5 to 3 years a piece. If I could give no stars I would and I would advise to look at other companies and models.

I purchased a Maytag MDB7749AWM model dishwasher in March of 2012 for approximately $600. Fifteen months later, the control panel has gone out on it. From what I understand, this problem happens so often that its not even worth repairing this dishwasher.

we have trouble with maytag doublre oven. the oven is over 100 degree off set temp and is not consitant. some times high some times low. we have had ae repair out they relaced control board and circuit board same problem still exists. we had turner repair out they took a reading when it hit desires temp but did not stay to see temp rise above or below set temp. turner repair another tech order a temp probe the turner tech put in probe and jst left didnot even check oven. he was pissed off I quess. same problem still exisits. We bought stove from Nebraka furniture mart the said theyont support repair after 30 days. we hope and pray that the tech will report to Maytag (Whirlpool) that the stove is bad and we can get a new one. So far no repair action has helped. We had a repair person out to repair a leak on a whirlpool washer . he also is qualified on stove but not a whirlpool repair authorized repair person. He checkedd the stove and said it is 100 degees off and we need to get a new one. My Neptune washing machine does not drain or spin. It keeps going unbalanced. I am told that I used the wrong detergent. The machine takes a whole day to wash a small load of clothes and then never finishes. Clothes and towels are constantly being ripped and torn. This Maytag product is inferior and we have paid a lot of money for this product that does not work. Repairs to this product are not advised, we have been told that we just need to buy a new one again. This is poor service and poor advice.

I dont know anything about the Maytag washers and dryers but have a Maytag washer and dryer. And I just recently bought a house that the owner is leaving both the washer/dryer, and both are Neptunes. I have an older set of Maytag washer/dryer and they are about 20 yrs old. They are both top load and I had one repair where a water line had a small leak and the service man came and fixed it and havent had any problems since. So I came on Maytags site to see how good these are, but from what I read, I think I will give the set of Neptunes away and just keep my old set as I am told them will last a good 35 or more years. They are heavy duty and large capacity. Thank you for letting me comment on your washers and dryers.

The best we can tell, we got our Maytag in 1991. This was because the repairman told us that was the last year they made parts for it. It ran wonderfully until 2018. The water valve broke, but a repairman easily fixed it. In 2019, it stopped running. The repairman fixed it, temporarily, he said. He refused to charge us for his work because he said we might get a few more loads done before it completely pooped out. Were still using it. I love this machine. It has gone WAY past the expected life span of a washing machine. Weve had it for 29 years!

I bought a Maytag refrigerator from Lowes. It has the freezer on bottom and I cannot put no fruits or vegetables in my refrigerator - it freezes them solid. Will never purchase this style of refrigerator again. Very Unsatisfied with this product

Bought the set at Home Depot. The gear box went out after 2 1/2 months of use. I called the manufacturer warranty site and spent close to an hour on the phone then was given an appointment to have a service repair person look at it. Two days before the scheduled service call they called and said they would have to move the appointment out by a week. After diagnosing the problem, oil all over the floor and stained clothes from the oil, was told it could be up to 2 weeks until the part arrived and installed. So my warranty is being used up while the machine is out of service for a month. Beware of buying a Maytag!!!

We purchased a Maytag Bravos set in 2011. The dryer works great, but the washer not so much. Every load of darks comes out with soap scum all over. I use the HE detergent and most time use less than what the load should have. We have soft water and I also use softener. Ive also tried up to 3 extra rinse cycles and a smaller load size and still have soap scum all over. Im sure the light colored loads come out same, just cant see it. Needless to say, very, very upset with this washer. I, too, will never buy another Maytag product, nor will I recommend one. Had our yearly maintenance check the other day and the service man couldnt give me the reason its doing this. So, so disappointed in this product!!
