So far, so very good. This is the first time owning/using an electric oven. I just love my Maytag. It was affordable, especially since it was a combo sale with the over-head matching microwave from Home Depot. Two years later and it's as if I just purchased it. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

We purchased a MDB8949SAW dishwasher in 2013. 1 month after the warranty expired the touch buttons went on it. If you selected normal it would opt for something else like rinse only. We researched online and my husband followed instruction online to take the door off and seal the moisture to prevent this from happening. This worked for about 2 months and now back to the same thing. We paid $500 for this and just living with the problem for now. All we can do is warn others.

My wife and I bought the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer Set from Lowes in August of 2015. It came with a stated 10 year warranty, but started having problems early in the 4th year. The washing machine direct drive motor has become very noisy which is a preliminary sign of direct drive motor failure. The dryer now heading into its 5th year has a a burnt smell, and we do not use it due to it being a fire hazard. Our previous washer and dryer set had lasted from 1998 until 2014 when we purchased this set. We paid over $1100.00 for this set. There is no way that we WILL EVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND a Maytag washing machine or dryer. They used to be excellent to good appliances the lasted a long time; however, that is not the case at the present. This is absolute the worst washer and dryer set I have ever owned. The quality of build and longevity is suspect. It is obvious that it is engineered to be a constant replacement item instead of one of quality and longevity. We will more and likely purchase a GE washer and dryer set. The Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine balled up my dress shirts and left wrinkles that the dryer was incapable of removing. I am aware of the issues with Samsung and LG washing machine and dryers when a problem arises. Whirlpool and Maytag are the same company. Maytag used to be synonymous with quality. That is not the case. Buyer beware. Do your research and do no rely solely on the salesperson at the store that you are seeking inquiry before purchasing. We went The Home Depot and received honest customer reviews about serious issues with the Maytag Bravos XL Washing machine and dryer sets. This set was highly recommended when we purchased them new at Lowes in 2015. I am also considering the Speed Queen Commercial Washer and Dryer sets that are available for consumers. This set makes the laundromat owners happy. Never again will we purchase a Maytag Bravos XL Washing Machine and Dryer set!! We learned a very expensive lesson!!

Maytag MVWC300BW clothes washer makes holes in heavy duty T shirts & sheets. It stretches clothing. We are following directions in loading without success. We are washing everything on the gentle cycle twice to get the clothes clean without destroying them. Today we were stood up for our third service call.

Maytag Bravos MCT washer not good - Owned this since June 2017. This thing has never worked properly. Every time after a cycle is complete we have to wring the soaked clothes by hand. Even after doing this the drying time ends up being double what it should be because the clothes are so wet. Not only time wasted on hand wringing clothes but also wasted energy in drying them afterwards. Also this thing is supposed to auto-detect how much water it should use but half of the time it uses too little water and doesn’t actually wash all of the clothes. Some clothes stay totally dry when this happens.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos MCT HE washer in 2011. Its about 3 1/2 years old and there was a very loud noise when the washer went into the spin cycle. Called the repair man and they told me the bearing and spin basket needed replaced. I had always had Kenmores with very little issues and they lasted for 12 years plus each. I get the HE model from Maytag and cant even go 3 1/2 years without some major issue. I called Maytag (Whirlpool) to complain and they said there wasnt anything they could do. I reminded them that I had checked for recalls on this model and looked into some of the complaints about this washer and that there were many of the same issues that I had plus many others. I felt like there should have been a recall on the bearing since they are going out too soon for this kind of a washer. I guess the Maytag repair man is now busier than ever since I dont see them on any advertisements anymore. Well, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again after this.

I purchased this washer approx. 2 years ago. It will not spin. Called 3 repair men, only one would look at it. The cost to repair is more buying a new one. I am buying another washer and it will not be a Maytag. Seems from other post live on this washer is 2 years. My son has one just like it, told him of the problems. He is thinking of selling and getting another one before his quits. There are 5 in his family.

I bought this washer and dryer (Bravos MCT MA655LDY) after receiving several notices from Hydro that I was consuming more electricity than my neighbours! It was delivered March 31, 2018. On July 5th 2018 I tried to use the washer. It lasted exactly 3 months! I called The Brick who sent a technician out, he said the control had gone. Not sure what that is, but 3 months? This is absurd. I would like them to replace this washer.

I have used Maytag washer and dryer for over 20 yrs. I recently replaced the set we purchased in 1988 because the washer broke down but I have never had a great problem with it either. I do on a average of 3 loads of laundry a week. I measure my detergents, mostly wash on warm or cold and I keep the filters and machines clean. I would buy the same maker should I need to replace them.

Bought a Maytag dishwasher (Model #MDBH979SAM0) three years ago. Four weeks ago the control panel wouldnt work correctly. No matter what cycle I attempted to select, other cycle buttons lit up. The start button did not light and the cancel button would not turn off. I called a repair guy, he came out and said Maytag was having a lot of problems with the control panels. He reset the machine and finally got it working again. He said he wasnt able to get a new control panel from Maytag due to demand/delay in manufacturing. Today the control panel went out again. Based on all the other reviews Im not sure its feasible to put more money in this machine. Ill research other dishwashers and get one that has a better performance record. DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG.

Gave up a very good old washing machine to update to a newer one and so we got the Maytag bravos 300. I thought Maytag was a very dependable name and product. The warranty went out. 2 weeks later, the water pump went out. I had to pay to have it replaced. Then after that it started making noise that got louder and louder and now it sounds like a thrashing machine. And now it has started leaking water out of the bottom. So its going in the scrap pile. What a loss of money - the worst investment I have made. For what I paid for this machine, it should have lasted for many years to come. The washer I had before this Maytag I had for 16 years - no problems at and it still worked great when I gave it away. Maytag use to be a brand you could count on. Great craftsmanship has been taken away and monetary gain has taken over. I hope no one else has to go through this nightmare that I have. Maytag they should have to give peoples money back that we all worked hard for. Going with a LG now, hope its a good machine.

Purchased a Maytag microwave/range hood in 2005. So yes, it is almost 10 years old but should the handle break off in ones hand? I would say poor material is the culprit. No use contacting the company by the looks of it... they dont stand by their product. Warranty says 10 years but broken handle would likely be cosmetic...

At 10 months old, the compressor fails. It took one week to fix. Exactly two months later, the compressor fails again. This time, there are no compressors in stock per the manufacturer and the extended warranty folks. Ten days and counting. 90 degrees outside. No idea when they will be available. It’s time to walk this one year old to the curb and get a responsibly built one. I should have held on to my old one. DO NOT CONSIDER A MAYTAG refrigerator.

Contacted their customer service by phone and email numerous times...sent photos. They did nothing on a major issue,,three year old washer..now junk. Side of washer is rusting out the metal housing on washer is compromised.

I purchased the gas stove in June of 2012 from Home Depot, along with a Maytag microwave (Model MGR7662WB4). Home Depot installed both items. After trying to reach into the microwave about the stove, the knob would turn itself on with me brushing up against it. This happened several times, and one time the flame shot up and I almost got burned. The last time it happened, I did not realize that the knob was turned very slightly and gas was coming out of the burner for several hours. If it were not for a friend stopping over, I would not have considered the odor being from the stove. I assumed that the drains were probably backed up and started to add cleaners to the toilet bowls. I had to open the windows for several hours to get the smell out. So I called customer service 2 times. The first person said I would have to pay for the call if the problem was not Maytag and I said, “Forget it.” Then I went into Home Depot and the salesperson in there gave me another number to call for service. They came last Friday and said that he had seen at least 10-15 calls about this and since the unit was working as designed and no recalls, there was nothing they could do. “Just wait and see if a recall would be put into place and I would be on the list to fix it. In the meantime just keep the knobs off (which I was doing already out of fear).” My sister just bought a Whirlpool gas range this summer as well and asked if I could try her knob and it worked perfectly. Again I called CS and was told they could not send me those at no charge and that it would cancel out the warranty. So I asked her what I have to do before I or someone else gets injured and she said that until there was a recall, there was nothing they could do. I told her I was going to contact Consumer Report as well as Pam Zekman on Channel 2 news in Chicago. End of story; I still have the problem and no knobs on the new stove. I purchased my machine on June 2, 2021 and it was delivered and installed on June 4. I have successfully done two loads of laundry. On June 9, I attempted washing two small bath mats and 2 dish towels. When I returned to the laundry room to place the load in my dryer, I found the the items in soapy water. I tried many times to reset the load with no success. On June 10th I called Maytag’s customer service and spoke with an associate who walked me through a couple of common quick fixes. These also were unsuccessful. She referred me to warranty service. I will not be able to have my machine repaired until June 23rd! Obviously, if their repair department is so overwhelmed, the products they sell are a piece of junk. I am furious with both the product and the service I have received.

I owned my double oven Maytag Gemini for 14 months and I was absolutely satisfied with it. I was running a cleaning mode on the bottom oven and the lock froze. I have tried everything with it to unfreeze it, including the suggestions offered on the internet. I havent been able to do it on my own and I cannot afford to hire a repairman. I called the help line offered by Maytag (after waiting for 32 minutes), the representative actually laughed at me when he found out it was past the 12-month warranty. Though this laugh may be unusual, I feel it is very indicative of the way Maytag handles any problems; Maytag doesnt stand behind their items, they are now built shoddily and they could really care less about retaining their customer base.

It is actually an older model Maytag set that I bought used 4.5 yrs ago. I am very impressed how its held up and how fresh our clothes are still. I have always loved Maytag and will buy again if needed.

In July 2012 I purchased a Maytag BTM standard door refrigerator from Home Depot. Approx. 2 weeks from the 1 yr. Standard warranty July 2013, my refrigerator started cycling like every 20 minutes and loud popping noises started occurring. 1st service tech would only stay 15 minutes & did not want to stick around to hear the noise. Ran the standard tests and said everything was fine. That was around Aug. 2013. So I put up with it for a few more months and finally the popping noise was getting louder. 2nd service guy (Jan. 24, 2014) got to hear my video recording of the refrigerator cycling and loud popping noise. He replaced a bad dul part (Note: they all wanted to blame it on our ice maker that we never ever hooked up). Oops...wrong diagnosis. Whatever he replaced stopped the constant cycling pattern but now the popping noise is getting even louder like a shotgun going off. 3rd repair guy (Feb. 20, 2014) tells us that is normal and recycle product material is not that good nowadays?? I pay a $1000.00 for a noisy refrigerator and they say it is a normal sound. I dont think so. The refrigerator is now popping so hard that the right side of my refrigerator that faces the open is now buckling due to the compression of the heating and cooling which is causing the loud popping noise. If you rub your hand down the side of refrigerator you can feel the waves forming on the side of the refrigerator. Trying to get a Maytag rep out here. Something needs to be done about the production of these bad appliances.

I love my new fridge! It has all the bells and whistles and looks/works great! My ice maker is the bomb! Best design Ive ever seen!

Brand New 2019 Model 465 Washer and like others are saying is a piece of junk as they do not fill the drum with enough water even on the Deep Water fill option. The laundry does not circulate and nothing gets clean. Maytag is really poorly designed and manufactured these days and a complete Rip Off!

I bought a Maytag washer 1 year and 1 month ago (MVWB835DW1), Hated this washer since day one. It does not wash clothes very well, does not even cover them fully with water. The mini agitator at the bottom does not move he close it just spins on the bottom of them. Now it started making a very high pitch squeal when it spins and of course it is one month past the manufacture warranty so I call a repairman and the first thing he says to me is Im sorry for your purchase, it was a bad one and it will cost me 600$ to repair because the bearing is bad. And my bad for not getting an extended warranty but I have never had a washing machine work this bad and break within the first 13 month of owning it??? Lesson learned I guess!

This machine doesnt wash your clothes. It leaves them dry & the agitator sucks too. I am so annoyed. I just bought them & had them delivered 7/27/15. It has only been a few days & NOT satisfied. Overpriced over $800 for it & its crap! Same with the Bravo dryer, it takes forever to dry. I wish I still had my old washer & dryer (had them for 7 years, NO problems). Very unsatisfied. DONT buy these, they are total CRAP!

My Bravos XL is worthless!!! This lack of agitator design is totally ineffective. Dark clothes come out with white powder on them and I use the liquid detergent. Whites I soak with detergent and bleach then full wash cycle. Still stains on dish towels and socks. Never had a problem with the old agitator Maytag. And yes the wrinkle free cycle creates wrinkles. Deep water wash is only cycle that even comes close to cleaning and its far from perfect. Horrible waste of money, buyers beware!!! I thought all those negative reviews were overblown and since I couldnt find a large enough machine with an agitator, I ignored warnings and bought this garbage. Matching dryer is fine.

We like the refrigerator and we have had it several years. But the thing the top freezer conceals much of the top rack of refrigerator. We must duck and almost kneel to get to food inside. Next fridge will have drawers and doors that open on both sides.

The washer we bought has a leaking drain pump after 3 years. When I called, they initially told me the part has been flagged as a potential quality issue. When I was passed to the next level to deal with it, they stuck to the you only have a 1 year warranty policy. There are numerous websites indicating this has been an issue for these brands. Simply put, they dont stand behind their products.

The washer w10420491A is 2 1/2 years old and got the F51 code. The result is the hub bearing are shot along with a circuit board. I would stay away from any Maytag Bravos washers.

Maytag Bravos MVWB725BW - Purchased this washer last year and have been very unhappy with the way it washes. It is extremely harsh in the way the agitator moves the clothes. Because it has a low water level the clothes take quite a beating in the washing process. This is confirmed when I remove the clothes from the dryer and proceed to clean the lint filter. The filter is constantly full of lint, even after drying clothes that have been washed numerous times before. Additionally, the clothes, even though being put in evenly, end up bunching together.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator around 2 yrs ago. Ive had repair out a couple and tried to take care of this myself. I am being told by repair men that it is a design flaw that the line gets plugged and water pours out all over my floor. The refrigerator I replaced was 20 yrs old, never had a service call & never poured water all over my floor. From reviews Im reading Im not alone in this problem. We have had this refrigerator, model MFI2665XEM7, less than two years. The ice maker stopped working and we had it replaced at least 6 times in a two month period. We had a solid ice sheet in the bottom of the freezer drawer and it leaks water on the floor constantly! Even today... after another ice maker replacement, we have no ice! I never wanted a Maytag, but finances and the small space we had gave us little choice. I am not sure what our next move is. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again! I should have google this sooner and we could have saved the poor repairman all of those trips!

We spent over $1,200 on a Maytag washer on 12/2015 and it did not work properly. The door got locked, had a couple loads moldy because we could not get it open. Didnt drain either. Maytag had someone come look at it 3 times and it still didnt work. Called Maytag and now they told me that they cant do anything about it because is not under their 1 year guarantee. And of course they are very sorry for my unfortunate inconvenience. I thought they had a good honest reputation but... Im just disappointed!

Horrific, useless, inconsiderate, rude, discourteous, arrogant and banal! I bought a brand new washer and dryer. The dryer is steam type and defective and they will not exchange, despite never being used. Nowhere am I committed to an agreement saying that the machine will not be replaced if it is defective. I am getting the run-around from the store, the manufacturer and the service technicians that didnt even arrive with tools when they came to evaluate the problem. If I had my way, I would return the washer and dryer and change manufacturers. But it is a stacking unit and I used the washer which commits me to it! Maytag, Whirlpool, JennAir and KitchenAid are all the same company. I am running out of options except going to the European manufacturers! Miele will at least install the appliances. They will be my next machines and I will not have to pay a plumber twice to install them the next time!

On 7/8/11, the non-freezer part of the refrigerator failed to cool to needed temperature. This fridge is model MI TXEMMWWOO, with serial no EY4705715, purchased on 7/13/10 at Home Depot.We contacted Maytag and were told to wait until Monday. On Monday, we were told that a serviceman would be out on Thursday, the 14th. On Wednesday, the 13th, the serviceman called to inform us that he would come the next day and that he would have to collect for the call. Since the fridge was still under warranty, we demurred.We went to Home Depot for advice. They called Maytag, and after an hour of getting the runaround, we were told that the serviceman would come on the 19th and that the call would be covered by the warranty.On the 18th, the serviceman called with the same message as before: he would have to collect the charges for the service call. Another trip to Home Depot led to the advice to activate the extended warranty at this point.Under the extended warranty, the serviceman came on the 21st, had to order a new part, and finally installed the new part on the 29th, three weeks after the misery began, and after spoiled foods, many bags of ice, and great inconvenience.We have other Maytag appliances, but this purchase has been a cruel lesson in Maytags lack of product quality, deceptive warranty practice, and indifference to consumer satisfaction.

We had an old Maytag that we loved but Judy wore it out. Bought the new Maytag & dont like it at all. Takes forever to wash 1 load & never enough water in tub to clean anything. Cant regulate water level, time or cycles. Hate it but what can you do?

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

Maytag french door 2015 refrigerator. Not happy at all. Freezer gets rim frost on sides of pull drawers and the smell is like dirty socks when motor is running! The whole kitchen stinks???

It’s a front loader, very quiet, and uses less water. The clothes come out clean and less wrinkled if you take advantage of the settings. l like the extra rinse and the drawer underneath. The capacity is able to accommodate enough clothes so I only need to do a load of darks and a load of whites each week.

We bought all Maytag appliances two years ago when we redid our kitchen. I have had nothing but a nightmare with my Maytag dishwasher. It started to leak so we called in the service repair person. He said he could not find the leak but tightened something in the washer, it still leaked. We had him come in again because it still leaked and nothing. We called in a plumber to see if he could find the problem. He couldn’t find anything wrong with the plumbing and thought it might be the washer door seal. The washer is still leaking, it will be the third time the repair man is coming to fix the washer. At this point, I just want to get rid of my two year old dishwasher. I will Never buy another Maytag product. This ordeal has been a nightmare with no help from Maytag service centre. So, so, disappointing.

I have had my Maytag Bravo for 5 years now. I originally paid 1800.00 for the set. And yes that is without the tax. Well I also got a warranty. Three years after I purchased my set my dryer stopped drying my clothes. I called the warranty company for a repair man and lo and behold my warranty is over. The repairman came and said that my lint was backed up. He stated that it was a good thing that I called when I did because they have been known to catch on fire. I asked him how is this possible? I check my lint screen and clean it after every load. He stated that the lint falls off the screen and just settles at the bottom of the dryer. And sometimes the dryer will get so hot that it will actually set the lint on fire. He fixed it but now it is back to doing the same thing two short years later. Im thinking that Maytag must know about this now and I am wondering why they havent did a recall on these before someone gets hurt or even worse by trying to do laundry.

I bought a new refrigerator and when I plugged it in would not cool. I called and the authorized tech came and said the compressor was bad and the evaporator was rusted and hoses were greased up. I have now been informed that the warranty was void because it was put in a dental office and not a single home. I said since it was never used I would put it in a house. They said it was void and I was out of luck. I always thought maytag sold good products but this has convinced me to never buy a product from them again. It never worked and the tech said it should be replaced but they said he should never had told us this.

I purchased a Top Loading Maytag January 2019 (High Efficiency Washer) and I have had problems with it every time I do laundry. It doesnt matter what cycle I have it on. It doesnt fill properly when I put it on deep full. It tangles my clothes so I have to untwist them when I take them out. It has torn some of my things due to twisting. Some areas of the clothes dont even get wet. Some areas also do not get rinsed properly and I have to repeat the cycle. I have had repair people come out and they cant find anything wrong. I am so unhappy with the washing machine and Maytag just ignores the issues I am having. Im going to have to give it away and get some other brand. I am just devastated that I spent all of this money and clothes are getting ruined.

We had perfectly working 20 year old top loading white Whirlpools w/ an agitator, when we remodeled our home and wanted new pretty grey appliances and decided to donate our machines to the church. I chose Maytag top loading due to their former reputation we experienced with dishwashers, etc. It had an agitator, deep fill option, extra rinse, etc. The sales person at Home Depot stated, the agitator is because people like you still want the agitator, and the deep fill will give you the water you have been used to. Not so at all!!Clothes get wound up together, even with filling the wash tub in bundles, there is almost NO water to thoroughly clean & the rinse cycle is a joke. Clothes do NOT come out clean. Im 58 yrs. old and have been doing laundry since I was 13 so I know what I am doing. Its just my husband and I now, and he is so upset that his clothes are pilling probably from rubbing together, even though I occasionally use laundry bags. I seriously wish I would have saved my money and kept the 2 perfectly working whirlpool units I had. This has been such a disappointment. I sincerely would not buy these.P.S. Weve had service out at least 5 times in the last year, and all they do is test the washer and tell us its working as intended... The last thing that is going to happen is we are going to get refunded for a different set, even though we were educated over and over what it would do by Home Depot associates. We are heartbroken. Maytag is going to lose their former reputation on these washers a dryers :( There is simply not enough water to clean or rinse things!

Purchased a Maytag MBF2256HEW bottom freezer in 2005. About fours ago, I had to replace the control board to the tune of $140.00. Today the fridge quit working and this time it appears to be the compressor, so tomorrow we will be shopping for a new unit. It will not be a Maytag.

I purchased a matching set of Maytag Neptune washer and dryer about 6 years ago and the washer is junk! It sounds like a jet is landing in the laundry room. The repair man said it is not worth fixing - bad bearing. I am not happy!

The Maytag Washer Model # MVWB835DW is the worst I have EVER had!! I have 6 kids, my husband and myself who I do laundry for and this was supposed to be a XL washer so I can do large loads! It does not do anything to stains and all my clothes come out with clumps of powder and if I use liquid it leaves greasy residue on them! Everyone in our home has had rashes from the washing powder not getting rinsed out and my husband who gets grease and oil on his clothes has all stained clothing because of this washer that does NOT clean anything! I used to be able to get every single grease and oil stain out until I purchased this washer! My 9 yr old now has a scalded skin from the washing powder not getting rinsed no matter how much I use!! I even tried using vinegar to make it dissolve and it does not help! No matter what we do it does not fill up nor wash the clothing properly!! This washer needs to be discontinued immediately and anyone who has it have the option of exchanging it with a better washer! It is absolutely ridiculous that they know this washer does this yet keep selling it!

Purchased a Bravo set 5 years ago. Paid $730. For the washer. 4 repairs in 5 years. It is now has a bearing out and that will cost $450. MAYTAG used to be the best... buyer beware!

I bought my first centennial washer less than four years ago, warrantied that machine out. It was replaced by best buy because of the warranty that I purchased. We are a family of four, with that in mind the replacement machine was a model year newer and it last just over a year and quit. I bought the machine anticipating that it will last me the next 10 years. With two children at home now that is not working, all I have to do on replace a new machine. The repair shop has told me that they get more of the Maytag centennial machines and then any other washing machine is going to cost me more to repair it than to buy a new machine because I had faith in the Maytag products for many many years. This particular machines are extremely hard to diagnose as to what causes the problem or what the problem is and could take a long time to get it fixed as well as the expense of getting it fixed. I would not recommend another Maytag product nor will Maytag ever get any more money from us. This particular product has become a piece of junk that I cant even get rid of to recycling. Maytag has become a joke and this machine has become a 500 dollar hunk of junk in my opinion.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer approx. 2.5 years ago. I cannot even begin to describe how disgusted I am with this washer. My clothes i.e. towels come out ripped on the edges, clothes do not get clean, shirts etc come out wrinkled no matter what setting used. It is not energy efficient because loads of laundry need to be washed twice if they are soiled (like our everyday jeans). Went back to the independent store where I purchased washer and was told to use only the bulky or gentle/delicates cycles to reduce rips in clothing. Such a complete waste of money, and it was not cheap!

Maytag gas range 5 burners. Maytag is quality. Period. I doubt that other brands are made as well. From the handle of the oven door to the ease of cleaning the burners, you wont find better for the price. I look for quality and reliability. I read reviews. A deal breaker on any major purchased would be too many bad reviews and shoddy materials or construction. This range has 3 regular burners, one large burner and one small burner. The oven shelves easily adjust from one level to another. The controls are easy to reach and the timer and bake controls are easy to operate.

A contractor purchased the Maytag MDB7609AWW2 dishwasher about two years ago. Sometimes it will start a load, but most times it will not. The light for high temp, heated dry and sanitize work, but the heavy, normal, light indicators will not light up. Im faced with either replacing the control board or control electronics. I was told Maytag is a quality product. I have not abused the product. The last dishwasher that I had lasted 10 years. I only purchased this one because of a remodel. I will most likely replace the control board since thats the defective part. It doesnt give me a good feeling about replacing the part since it’s obviously a defective part. I will consult Consumer Reports before purchasing another dishwasher.

Maytag Dishwasher purchased for $634 on 7-6-12 from Lowes. Control panel malfunctioned in August 2014. Started leaking in April 2012. From the online comments, I am trashing this machine. It is not worth fixing it and having it malfunction again. Maytag will not say anything about this, only offers a repair person out to fix. I am very disappointed that my hard earned money purchased a sub standard machine. Maytag used to mean reliability. NO more.

Food stored next to the ice dispenser freezes. Freezer floor builds up with 1 1/2 to 2 of ice every couple of weeks, door wont close and water leaks on floor.

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever had in my life. Machine started bouncing during the wash cycle and also the spin stopped. Never in my life have I had a machine fail on me like this one. I spent a lot of money on this. This machine should be recalled. I read up on all the complaints. Its a model #Tw6600TQ0.

MDBH979SAM0 - Bought this dishwasher from Home Depot 2 years ago and have taken care of it, never abused it or anything. All of a sudden it just starts freaking out, once you start a cycle it will wash and then rewash and then keep going costing us money on electricity, water and wear and tear on the machine. Ive tried everything but it seems like its just stuck in start mode. The indicator lights on the panel flip out too, they will all blink randomly. So when I close the dishwasher and dont intend to start any cycles and it is off it will start up all on its own so Ive had to unplug it. Funny how I called to order a control panel part and its on back order... Very interesting how they are out of this part probably because everyones ordering it.

We purchased at Home Depot on 5/12/2012 a Maytag dishwasher model MDBH979SAM. The following November it started not working correctly. We had to fiddle with the cancel button to get it to work at all. It just kept on getting worst to where it would not function at all. We called Maytag service. They set up a service call with a local warranty service provider who ordered a control board and a week later came and installed. No charges at this point. Now, here at the end of August 2013, out of warranty, it is doing the same thing! I just called Maytag customer service in Tennessee and was told they are so sorry but would sell me a one year service contract. This I immediately refused. I told the person I was talking to that I had seen this website and was aware that hundreds were having the same issues and that I knew first hand that they were doing nothing about it! I informed this person I will be in contact with my home states Attorney General’s Office Consumer Fraud Division and would ask for any assistance from them available. This person then offered to replace the part at no charge, but I would have to pay for the service people to come and determine the problem (real hard to figure out that it is the control board again, same as everyone else) and then pay to have them come and install it after they order and receive it! The service order left by the tech when he replaced the first board showed a $74 fee that was covered by the warranty. So from this I have determined that it will end up costing me $150 for this repair. I also realize this repair may last six months to a year if I am lucky! Needless to say I refused this last offer too. I will have to wait to hear from our Attorney Generals office. How can any reputable business do this?

I can’t seem to get any help with my dryer. I have replaced the drum 2 times and thermostat 3 times. Model number is mde9700ayw. Serial number is 13229569gp. I simply want a new dryer that works.

Barbara ** purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer. The washer did not perform anywhere near the advertised and EXPECTED performance. A letter was written to the Maytag Customer Center on July 12, 2014 complaining about the washers inability to clean or rinse clothes effectively. As of this date we have had NO direct contact from Maytag. After reading many reviews and noting that I have seen over 700 people which had issues with this machine, I wish that I had never purchased from Maytag. I have had to purchase a new machine to replace this useless Maytag. When I ask a used appliance dealer if he would be interested in purchasing my Maytag Bravos, his reply was, I dont want any Maytag Bravos in my store.I have made an effort to obtain some type of satisfaction from Maytag, but to no avail. I would like 100% refund for this purchase. If Maytag does not meet the expectations of its customers, then I feel that a class action law suit should be started through consumer affairs. When you cant even get a used appliance dealer to purchase a used Maytag Bravos, then there is a real problem with the product. The purchase price was $616.55. A total waste!!

All of my brand new white wash cloths have black stains on them. They look like mechanics use them to check the oil. And, my white denim capri pants have weird stains on them. This washing machine is a joke. It may be water efficient, but sacrifices cleanliness and stain removal. Maytag should recall this ** Queen.

Neptune washer maxima XL steam - Our machine is only 2 years old and we feel the soap dispenser is defective. That little door inside to choose either liquid or powder is not flush with the basic cup and to make matter worse, there is a V shape hole at the bottom of that little door. Meaning, fill it up, and while you are looking for the softener in your closet, all the expensive liquid HE soap is on your floor! And when you close the door, if you wait for starting the load, all the soap goes into that rubber gulley instead of being sent over the clothes. I just got off the phone with them, they wanted to send a technician AT MY EXPENSE - when I do feel it is a deign mistake, not a use/abuse on my part. I proposed instead to send them a picture. They refused. I proposed to send them the soap drawer, they refused as well. I will never buy Maytag ever again and dont recommend to anyone to go to this Brand name!

This has the aqua cleaning technology, sounds real good. DOES NOT WORK! The cleaning is done by you as you nearly climb into the oven with a plastic scraper which they supply to scrape prior to the cleaning cycle. Then after you have used the distilled water in the bottom of the oven during the cleaning cycle (steam), you climb back in to wipe out the water and use something similar to a magic eraser to SCRUB the oven.Here is the real kicker....during the cleaning process, in between the glass (in the door) you develop water spots that cannot be cleaned unless you pay to have a service technician come out and tear it a part to clean it. According to Maytag THIS IS NORMAL and is proven (by their engineers without any documentation for the customers to be able to see) to be normal?? The consequence is a brand new stove will never be clean and it is the first thing you see when you come into my house. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Three-year-old top load Bravos. Started doing the LD/SD tango about one year ago. Intermittent fault, but becoming more prevalent. Can spend an entire day attempting to finish one load; sometimes must be unplugged overnight to clear faults. Washer receives heavy use from extended family of five adults and two children but has never been overloaded. Machine is horribly flimsy and constructed of the cheapest possible materials. I wish I had removed the back prior to purchase.Just because it is possible to attach a processor to a piece of equipment doesnt mean its necessarily a great idea. Any geek can tell you that the three things most despised by a digital device are heat, humidity, and vibration. A washing machine by definition is an epicenter, a breeding ground, for those specific environmental factors. Well done, Maytag. You have demolished what was, perhaps, the most respected name in the business. Good luck getting that particular rep back. Purchasing a Speed Queen. The living embodiment of old-school. Same as all the other reviews control panel intermittently started to fail. Dishwasher is less than 3 years old. Does not work at all now. I tried resetting circuit breaker - nothing. This unit was $700 from Home Depot. Complete trash. It is cheaper to buy new dishwasher than repair - how unfair! Maytag won’t repair - well for over $300 they will. I feel better knowing everyone has same issue & is not my electrical system. Class action lawsuit!

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

I have been reading the recent comments about the Maytag Bravo I purchased in 2011, and is sitting in my laundry room broken down. The timer wont advance past 18 minutes. I have reset it to factory default a number of times to no avail. I am very frustrated that the customer service offered an extended warranty for $319 to cover the service repair and another 1 years warranty. My washer is three years old! The warranty they offer is half the cost of the purchase price! The quality of this machine is very poor. I am truly disappointed with Maytag, who used to be a company you could trust. They have lost my trust along with my business.

Purchased a Maytag Bravos top loading washing machine in Sept. 2015. First time we used it the machine vibrated enough to shake the walls. We thought the balance was off. Called Lowes (installers) and they came out and said it was level. There was something fishy about the grinding type noise it made. Also noticed that in spite of all the noise that the clothes essentially stayed in the same spot while the basket moved. Sometimes the clothes on top never got completely wet or rotated through the wash water. Called Lowes again and they looked at the machine and said it needed replaced. But the 90 time period for replacement had passed. Lowes said it would be repaired. A technician came and replaced the basket, saying it might have been out of round. He left, we used the washing machine and it was worse. He came back an hour later and talked with Whirlpool and they said there might be something wrong with a gear. Hes going to replace the gearbox sometime. Meanwhile we are stuck with a washer that makes a lot of noise, vibrates terribly and doesnt appear to do much washing. If noise equated to cleanliness then it would be fantastic. But had we known about the noise or the many complaints we would never have made this purchase. Whatever happened to Maytag quality? Bet that Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.

I love the functionality of this Maytag refrigerator. The inside is so nice and big, I can almost fit anything into it. When I need to make a lot of food for a lot of people, this refrigerator really foots the bill.

Bought the set at Home Depot. The gear box went out after 2 1/2 months of use. I called the manufacturer warranty site and spent close to an hour on the phone then was given an appointment to have a service repair person look at it. Two days before the scheduled service call they called and said they would have to move the appointment out by a week. After diagnosing the problem, oil all over the floor and stained clothes from the oil, was told it could be up to 2 weeks until the part arrived and installed. So my warranty is being used up while the machine is out of service for a month. Beware of buying a Maytag!!!

Updated on 02/13/2021: Maytag stove purchased 15 years ago for about $500. Replaced mother board about 5 years ago which wasnt cheap, but otherwise, stove has performed with no problems and still looks and behaves like a new stove.Original review: Our 6-7 year old well cared for Maytag range oven recently stopped working. After a service call for diagnostics, it was determined the electronic module controlling the clock and all oven functions was dead. We were told by the Maytag service tech the module cost was 300$. That cost plus labor for less than an hour, plus the 60$ diagnostic visit came to almost 500$ which is close to cost of a new stove. The technician answered yes to my question, Do you replace a lot of these? He also said the cause may be power fluctuations making me think that surely there is a way to prevent this kind of failure. So, since the price seemed exorbitant, I wrote Maytag to inquire about causation/prevention, etc. I received a fairly prompt and polite reply with totally no explanation. I wrote another email with relatively the same results. I dont recommend buying an electronically controlled Maytag stove.

This machine sucks. Im down to washing three to four items only on an extra capacity machine because every single load becomes unbalanced. Feeling the weight of each item and then placing it correctly doesnt work. Repairman came out. Said it was balanced. Lie. At this point I want to take a sledgehammer to it and send the pieces one by one to Maytag. They should be embarrassed to even have this product for sale to the public with their name on it.

We bought a Maytag dryer from Lowes on 4.23.20 for $567.87. From Day 1, it required us to dry even medium loads at least 2 times and sometimes even 3 times. I have been complaining to my husband since we got it. The clothes come out smelling almost burnt. But if you dry it once, the clothes are wet. And if you try to dry it the 2nd time for less time, its still not dry. So, it takes forever to do laundry. This morning, it sounded like a lot of metal was rattling around. So, I looked inside to see if change was in there, and nothing was in there but t-shirts and socks. It had been drying for less than a minute, but when I opened the door a wave of extreme heat hit my face. Now Im afraid to use it because I think it will eventually burn our house down. And with COVID-19, we do tons of laundry. We cant afford another dryer but may have no choice.

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB 7749SAM0 - Bought this dishwasher from Lowes in 2012 for my daughter and son-in-laws new home. Thought I was making a good choice with Maytag. Wrong. Same control board problem that everyone else is having. Wiring ribbon is corroded and shorted. Why is this not a re-call? I will call Maytag and Lowes and complain, but likely will get no justice. Sounds like I should just bring this machine to the dump and take my losses.

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... I use a late model Maytag front loader. It does a great job cleaning and uses very little soap and water. To date I have NOT had to call the repairman to work on it. All in all I am VERY satisfied.

I started hearing the Maytag Microwave MMV4203DW00 beeping this morning after breakfast. I had not used it since the night before to heat up soup in a Corning Ware bowl. Its doing that 5E thing and nothing on the control panel works. Ive unplugged it, waited, plugged it back in and the same thing. It starts off saying Select Clock and 5E and then stops on the 5E. I bought this in Aug. 2010 and it is vented out the wall. Of course, that doesnt work now. The metal rack has never been put in it. Im single and the only one who uses it and I dont use it very much either. And this model only got the one 40-watt regular bulb over the range - lousy. And it doesnt work now either. And the control panel lights up orange. Had I known that, I would have never bought it in the first place. Of course, the stupid orange 5E lights up. Im unplugging it for good. Its not worth fixing. Do not buy this microwave!

I bought a Maytag Gemini double oven gas range 5 burners (model MGT8885XS000), even air true convection cooking. Within 4 months, 1 of the gas valves (knobs to turn gas on with) froze. I could not turn one of the top burners off. Maytag came out and fixed it. Three months later, another one froze. Again Maytag came out and fixed it. Our warranty ended. Over the next year, all five burner valves have frozen. I called Maytag, told them what happened. The most they could do for me was to give me the part half off. So I can pay $200.00 for parts and pay for a repairman to come out and fix it. The oven cost $2,000.00. I am still paying for it. Chances are if I repaired it would break again.

If you are looking for the Maytag repairman he will be at my house Tues fixing my barely 1 yrs old dishwasher. This is ridiculous to pay this amount of money for the reputation that Maytag is known for or I will say was known for. $270.00 for a control panel. My last Maytag lasted over 30 yrs. Not made in the US - not built to last and this was told to me by the people that installed it so take it for what its worth. Look elsewhere. My last Maytag product.

My microwave started acting up, after about 5 months. It would not cook a complete cycle, without an error saying that the door is open, and needs to be closed. The repairman has been out 5 times already, and the problem is still not corrected. Maytag/Whirlpool has said they will not replace item, then they decided they would possibly replace at a pro-rated amount. So, I have to purchase a microwave twice, to have one that works? Somehow, I feel Im being taken for a ride in this deal.

My Maytag washer is only three years old and the control panel completely went. Not only did it cost me the service call, they want $360 to replace the control panel. I called Maytag/Whirlpool to see if they would help with the cost of the part. I am 60 years old and the only one who uses the washing machine. It is not beat up. Maytag would not offer any solution at all and refused to even pay for any part of the control panel. They said it was really my tough luck for not having bought the extended warranty. When you spend so much for an appliance, you do not expect it to only last three years and you should not need an extended warranty. I am so disappointed and I will never buy a Maytag or anything from its parent company Whirlpool.

I have a 4-year old Maytag refrigerator. The back of the top freezer compartment is frosted and frozen, and the bottom refrigerator is now too warm to put food into. I wonder if a lonely non-busy Maytag repairman can come and fix it? Oh wait! Thats the deceptive false advertising that I bought into when I wrongly assumed that these were great appliances. I cant afford to get this fixed and after what Ive read from other peoples experiences, it wouldnt matter anyway. It would just break again anyway. What a joke! Ill unplug it and try replugging it in after it thaws and maybe that will work.

I bought the Bravo XL HP Washer and Dryer in 2014. Dryer is great but the washer just after having it 1 yr started making awful noises. Had a repair man come which cost me money and was told the bearing went out and I needed a new one. He said it would cost over 700.00. I didnt fix it as I could buy a new one for that price. I did that. I hate the washer. It doesnt get the clothes clean and the cycles are long. My clothes dont feel or look as good. I have to leave the top open or it smells awful. So, I got the new washer 1 yr after the other one in 2015. It is now 2016 and it is making noises. Theses washers need to be recalled and we should be able to get a different one or our money back. Please, do something about these washers as a lot of us are stuck with them.

The control panel of our Maytag dishwasher stopped working when it was approximately 14 months old. We repaired it ourselves by following a reset directions we found online (push rinse button 5 times and then the cancel button twice). Also we cut the power to reset. Im not sure which of those two tasks reset it, but it worked until last week - now 28 months old. We are not able to reset the panel using any information that we can find. In trying to find repair options, we discover that there are a lot of complaints about the Maytag dishwashers control panels not working within just a couple of years. In speaking with Maytag, they tell me theres a class action law suit for this problem - meaning they do realize there is an obvious problem with their control panels, but are not acknowledging they have any responsibility to repair it. The law suit only covers the cost of the part but not the labor. The labor can cost between $100 - at the lowest - and up. Our Maytag dishwasher model # is MDB8949SAM1. Also noteworthy, our Maytag clothes washer gave out at less than 5 years. Maytag is no longer the company we all thought they were. Additionally, their faulty machines are costing their customers a lot of extra money. Not exactly what I would call a company with good customer service or even any ethics. We will never buy Maytag again.

I am writing to tell you the dishwasher sold to my family malfunctioned as a result of an apparent design flaw. I also ended up wasting an entire day for a service person who never arrived. On October 14, 2009, my family bought a Maytag Dishwasher (model #MDBH979AWW) from Home Depot. It had run beautifully until last week, when the left-hand side of the control panel went dead. I then called the Maytag service number (800-688-9900) listed in the instruction manual and scheduled an appointment with the A&E Factory Service vendor for the following Friday (July 6th, 2012) between 8:00AM and 12:00PM. Around 12:30PM, no one had arrived, so I called again. I was told by the agent that the technician was en route and would arrive at my home in forty five minutes. At 2PM, still nobody arrived. I rang again when I was then informed that my name had been strangely kicked out of the system and made available for a reschedule. Wanting to stick with a Maytag-approved business, I went ahead and scheduled the next earliest appointment available, Monday, July 9, 2012. The technician from A&E Factory Service that actually did show up reported that the entire control panel had to be replaced at a cost of $281.48. Interestingly, he added that he had seen other Maytag dishwashers with this exact same problem and recommended that I wait until the water settled before adding extra dishes during a cycle since water apparently leaks into the electronics via a small gap on the top of the inside of the door. Of course, there is nothing in the instructions warning against such.I chose to fix the machine since I didnt have the money to purchase a new one. Are your dishwashers designed to last only a few years? I truly believe that I have been duped by Maytag since this problem resulted from a design flaw. I am asking you to please look into these matters and correct any wrongdoing that you see fit. Copies of receipts for the dishwasher purchase and service repair are enclosed.

We used to own a Neptune Model. After always leaving the door opened and following the recommended monthly cleaning and many extra cleanings with diluted bleach and water, we could not get the smell out. We paid for a new seal, Advice from Washing Machine Repair service even though we paid a lot for an extended warranty. We had to pay for this ourselves. We also had our year to year maintenance. Because we could not fix the issue, nor would MAYTAG, we donated the set to donated it to Salvation Army.We decided to give MAYTAG another chance, so we purchased a brand new FRONT-LOAD WASHER and DRYER in 2014. As I would repeat the same regiment, I would notice little black specks, so I would clean it an extra time with Afresh. I have continued to this date, repeating the same regiment of keeping my washer clean and serviced as we should, I now have the whole tray dispenser spotted with LARGE black goo that smells. So I have continued to clean my Washer.After returning home from the Cleveland Clinic, I was ready to do our laundry from the trip, more black goo and smell coming from my Maytag front-load washer. My sister had stayed with my 86 year old mother and had wash a load of towels while we were gone. She left the door opened also as she was instructed many times, and that is how we found it. So I took the dispenser tray out as usual and bleached it and scrubbed it. As I did this I noticed bigger areas of goo. I looked in the dispenser housing and OMG it was covered with black mold. I am appalled that our $900.00 Washing Machine is like this. This IS BLACK MOLD, There is no way to remove this mold. I have the sides and bottom cleaned with bleach, BUT I cannot get into the multiple crevices.I called Maytag and I was initially told by a Maytag Customer Service Person said that it sounds like BLACK MOLD and MAYTAG COULD DO NOTHING! I asked to speak with a supervisor. At first she seemed a little put off, but as we talked she became more pleasant, I offered to send pictures or a video of the WASHER WITH THE BLACK MOLD and she said no. She told me to pour bleach into each dispensing compartment and the drum. Then run a wash with no clothes on all HOT WATER 2 times, then rinse 2 times and this should get rid of it and to also leave the dispenser drawer open a crack as well as the door after each wash.The Supervisor said ok and thanked her for her help. Then she said good luck and thanks for calling MAYTAG. Ive did and already do everything our Washer manual says to do on cleaning and maintenance of my expensive Maytag Washer and dryer. The manual says nothing about leaving the dispenser drawer open a little so it dries. The bottom of the housing looks great from doing this, along with me scrubbing it until 5:00 am with diluted bleach water. However, in the MANY SEAMS, CREVICES, THE SCHUTE AND POSSIBLY THROUGHOUT THE WASHING MACHINE IS BLACK MOLD that we cannot access without disassembling the machine and voiding our extended warranty.MOLD GROWS RAPIDLY and causes many illness. I already have an ongoing illness since childhood, I take care of my 86 year old mother, my husband just finished cancer treatment in January. We certainly do not need any other health issues. I called my local Appliance repair company and they said that they normally do not handle anything like this, but if my husband couldnt take the outside of the machine off then the top I could pay for a repair person to come out to take it apart then call and have them come back to put it back, pay them again to reassemble our Washer.I believe Whirlpool in its purchase of Maytag has taken a Monkey on its back. Maytag will do nothing, why should they? They already have their money from when we purchased our machines along with money from many other consumers who also have ongoing issues with their WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG Front-Load washing machines. It is undignified and deceitful how they treat their consumers with such disregard when we have filled their pockets by being loyal customers.Word of mouth is good or bad advertisement for any company. Everyone who has unresolved issues of any kind can write a formal complaint to the CEO and President of Whirlpool/Maytag. The address is on the internet. Shame on Whirlpool/Maytag for taking many consumers hard earned money, when apparently some of Whirlpool/Maytags money is ill gained by developing and manufacturing a consumer product that causes black mold and marketing it to sell to us, the consumer. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WHIRLPOOL/MAYTAG. OWN UP!!! My advertisement begins today!!!

When our ice maker (Model # MF12269VEM10) stopped working, we contacted Maytag, only to be told that the 1-year warranty had expired. So we had no recourse but to contract a repairman. He replaced the valve (and in the process, because of Maytags decision to use plastic tabs instead of screws, the tabs for the filter housing broke off in his attempt to reach the rear of refrigerator where the valve went and we had to pay to have the housing replaced, also). The new valve did NOT fix the problem. Water continued to run out of the water dispenser after you removed your glass. We re-contacted the repairman who returned and proclaimed that there was air in the lines and it should work itself out over the next several days. Yet that night, I noticed drops of water running down the control center and filling the drip tray. I placed a towel on the floor and emptied the drip tray several times that night, before turning off the ice maker completely the next day.Unhappy with the original repairman, we contacted another who came out and discovered that the new valve was leaking from the top. That is when the filter housing broke and we had to use duct tape to hold it in place while the new repairman ordered a replacement. He tightened the valve and cycled the ice maker several times only to discover that the water overflow switch on the ice maker wasnt working, thus water was overflowing into the ice maker container. He turned down the water pressure to the refrigerator, and we tested it again. All seemed to be well until the next day when no ice was released from the ice dispenser. When I removed the ice storage bin, I found everything frozen from water overflow. I turned off the ice maker entirely and contacted the repairman, who ordered a new ice maker, which took about a week.After the new ice maker was installed, along with the new filter housing, the repairman cycled the unit several times before leaving. Yet by the next day, the ice in the storage bin was frozen in place again (I have pictures), and we contacted the repairman who ordered yet another ice maker. It took yet another week for the part to come in. After it was replaced, I monitored the ice container each time I heard ice drop into it. The 1st time there were a few drops of water in the bottom of the ice maker. The 2nd time, there was a 1/4 cup of water in the bottom. I immediately contacted the repairman to let him know and turned off the ice maker yet again.I find it hard to believe that a new valve, fresh from the package, and 2 (TWO) ice makers, fresh from the box, were all faulty. The repairs started on February 25th 2015. It is now March 21st and the ice maker is still not repaired. The 2nd repairman is doing his own research into the problem (for which we applaud him!) and now we ask you for your feedback as to the problem and how it can be solved.

We have the 4000 series front loader washer. Within 8 months of owning it, it would shut off in mid cycle. You have to unplug it to restart it. Then, when it completes the cycle, it is still soaking wet. So, you have to put it through the drain and spin cycle again. There is something major wrong with the spin cycle. It takes about 2 hours to do one load of laundry and you have to stay home to do all of the steps. It costs as much to fix it as the machine costs. It’s the worst washer we have ever had. No more Maytags!

We bought a Maytag washer in 1987. It worked beautifully for years. The Maytag Centennial Washer we have now is sub-standard. It takes a full hour or more to wash one load. No quick wash feature. Today I filled the washer with soap, clothes, and pushed the button to fill it. It filled and inexplicably drained, wasting my time, water, and laundry soap. I regret buying this washer.

My washer has always had an odor, and I clean the gasket. It gets mold on the gasket and smells horrible! Now for my dryer, it has 3 baffles inside that helps turn and fluff the clothes, and 2 of mine have broke off. And that results in clothes that look like they have been in the dryer for weeks. And I take them out as soon as they are done drying.

Recently I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer. These two items are the single worst appliances I have ever purchased. They are loud, ball the clothes into a knot and run forever. I plan to sell them on Craigslist and buy a Speed Queen.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher delivered in dec 2012. We are snowbird Canadians and the dishwasher is only used 5 months per year. Jan 2015 the control panel quit working and the repairman tells me the wires on the control panel have started to melt down. He called Maytag and was told they had extended the warranty on this machine for one more year. Missed it by 2 months. Considering this was only really used one year, I am very disappointed. How can an extended warranty on a safety issue only be for one year? This is my first Maytag product and will be my last. I only purchased it because I was told Whirlpool bought them out and I have never had a problem with Whirlpool.

I purchased the Bravos X washer approximately 13 mos ago. Washer was noisy and has deteriorated since installation. I questioned the ability of a non agitator appliance getting close clean but was assured it would. Not the best if clothes are just moving against clothes. The machine had a difficult time in between adjusting to wash balancing a 3x event upon starting. It leaked intermittently during spin cycles and stopped due to unbalanced loads, sometimes refilling and stopping again. Now it wont spin at all, circuit board problems! This is my first and last Maytag. The company will most likely not balance/compensate on the purchase price (like the Bravos X) because it is beyond the 12 mos warranty.

Clothes are never submerged in water. Clothes come out worse than when they went in. Every review and complaint mentioned is dead on! This Bravos XL is a piece of crap. Stay away from lying salesmen from HH Gregg. And stay away from Maytag. Perhaps we should all get together and file a class action lawsuit! And donate all monies, washing machines and dingy clothes to charity!

We purchased our Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in 2008. Within a year, the hinges that held the door open on the top load washer broke. In year 2, the area around the fabric softener dispenser rusted so badly that it almost completely ate the porcelain enamel away. In year 4, it started making a noise that I will compare to a jet on takeoff during the rinse cycles. It continued to work but got louder and louder. We looked into the cost of the repair, which was going to be $350 parts + labor. If it had been a good machine, we might have considered fixing it but it wasnt. Even a set of sheets could put it off balance, which stopped the machine with the wash cycle incomplete. It also set its own water level based on the weight of the clothes and many times the top items came out with dry spots that hadnt even been submerged throughout the whole cycle. Consequently, the clothes were never very clean and I would have to rewash many loads. This machine was not cheap - around $1,000. I was so frustrated and felt completely taken by the Whirlpool company again. We have had many unhappy situations with their products over the years - Kitchenaid, Jenn-Air and Maytag. We finally learned our lesson and researched washers online. The best rated that we could find was Speed Queen. We couldnt find it in Canada, so my husband drove 5 hours round trip to the US and bought one. We have had it 4 months now and the difference is unbelievable. Our clothes are clean again. I can set my own water level and the hot cycle actually gives you hot water. It never goes off balance no matter how many or few clothes it has. If I see that I need more water part way through a cycle, it has a button that lets you add some part way through. It doesnt have a lot of bells and whistles. Its a basic but excellent machine that is a pleasure to use. I would recommend it highly. I realize it has only been a short time, but my Maytag never performed like this machine even from day one. It reminds me of my very first washing machine many years ago, an Inglis, which never had a repair in 15 years of use. If our dryer goes, we will definitely buy Speed Queen. The trip is well worth it.

My clothes sometimes come with white spots on them. My clothes are very twisted. I would LOVE to have Maytag replace my washing machine so I could again sing their praises!!!

I purchased the Maytag dishwasher a little over two years ago (MDB6759AWQ0). This was the first Maytag product I bought and it is definitely the last one! It was more expensive, but because of Maytags commercials on what good products they had, I thought it would last longer and work better. Boy, was I wrong. When it was installed, it was loud. I brought this to the attention of Maytag. I was told there was nothing that they could do. Repair people were sent to my home several times to see if the noise could be fixed and unfortunately, it could not. This is the loudest dishwasher that I have ever had. I should have stayed with the same brand that was over 10 years old that died! Now the control panel blew out and will cost over $300 to have it fixed. After reviewing the numerous complaints that you have on your dishwasher with the control panels not working, I would think Maytag would be more financially responsible in helping the people that have your products that no longer work after being less than three years old. Just a heads up, Maytag, I will be replacing instead of fixing and not with another Maytag product!

Me and my wife bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot. The top half freezes up in a big way and it gets real frosted up I have to pull it apart every 2 months to defrost it. The bottom half starts to get warm if I dont do that. I will not ever buy another Maytag refrigerator again.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo XL from Lowes. Ive had nothing but trouble with it since day 1. I called Lowes and they said the hose that was placed on it was the wrong hose because I cannot use the the BULKY Cycle. Its easily to off balance and shakes the house. Im continuously having to restart it, it just stops and blinks without any codes showing, on all cycles. I paid $1,000.00 for this washer and will not purchase another Washer with sensors. The life span of the digital washers without agitators are maybe up to 3 years, if that. My last washer was a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loader and it did the same thing. No More for this mom of three children, the older generation of Washers lasted TEN years or more!!!
