I purchased the top model Maytag dishwasher, and within four uses, I noticed major water damage to the side of my cabinetry. I pulled out the dishwasher and realized it was coming from the side unit where water enters the tub. These things happen, and I phoned their customer service department expecting this unit to simply be replaced, being that it was less than a week old, and that I would have been left a satisfied customer. They were willing to send a technician over to try to fix the problem, but not replace it. I now have to replace my cabinets, and maybe even my granite as it may be damaged in the removal process. I am not asking them to fix that even though the damage was caused by their dishwasher, but a new dishwasher, I did expect them to cover. Their customer service stinks, and I suggest to anyone that if you have any problems with a new unit, the best thing to do is return it to where you bought it. Im sure they will gladly give you a new unit and send the bad one back to Maytag. Dealing with Maytags customer service is the worst thing you can do. They do everything in their power to not replace it. Instead, theyd rather lose a customer for life. Whats sad for them is that Im a builder, and I usually build approximately three houses per year. Thats a lot of units theyve lost sales on over a simple replacement of a dishwasher. Its not a good way to do business. The bottom line is, stay away from Maytag.

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. ???? If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. ????

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

Maytag fridges, obsolete in less than 3 years. TWICE! My last Maytag fridge dies at about 2.5 years. I called up customer service. It was a compressor not repairable. This was an expensive fridge. Reluctantly we bought another one as the space could only accommodate a Maytag. Again less than 3 years old, the ice maker is shot and the plastic inserts are all falling apart. This time Ill renovate my kitchen for that extra 2 inches to accommodate a different brand.

So I read the reviews when I bought this Maytag Bravo Washer and figured stuff happens. We bought the top load Maytag Brava in 2013. We bought the Home Depot warranty, 2 years later the washer was leaking water. 5 repair visits and 3 attempts to fix the leak before it was repaired. As of 4-25-17 the wash machine displayed un-level errors and started vibrating with a thundering noise. Called out warranty repair and they stated we need new bearings. Repair is scheduled in 2 days and now the wash machine is thundering and spewing oil so it is shut off. 4 years old, and like the other complaints clothes come out with dry patches and not clean. This is a bad machine, we are saving for our next washer. It will have an old style spindle/agitator, no California efficiency and probably not Maytag.

We have had our Maytag double oven for about 5 years. 18 months ago two of the burner knobs froze off. You cannot turn them. We had oven repaired - they replaced part WPW 10204705 - it cost us approx. $400 to repair. Here we are today and ANOTHER burner know has frozen in the off position. I will have to pay again to have this repaired. We are super disappointed with this over and with Maytag. We would never purchase from them again.

It’s a nice look to your kitchen first, and an easy clean. Works great for heating up stuff in a hurry and makes popcorn perfect on the popcorn button. Does ok at melting things. I have been happy with mine for 3 yrs so far.

I purchase this dryer not even a year ago. It is not performing right. I call customer support and they willing to try something to see the problem. I hope I don’t have to pay anything out my pocket.

My grandmother got a Maytag Bravos XL MVWB755 washer and from day 1 she had to call Maytag with issues due to residue left on the clothes. They told her to not use this setting... buy this detergent... only use cold water etc. Never did they offer a repair guy to come out. A year passes still having issues shes out of warranty. They now offer a repair guy but claim theyre going to charge her $90. Once she explains to them that she was never offered a repair guy & they shouldve done this before. They decided to waive this fee and send a repair guy. Once the technician comes out to the house they do absolutely nothing and they fill it up with water say we need to clean it and Ill come back out and do another diagnostic. When they come back all they do is fill it up with water get a glass check the water and say, Nope, no floating residue. Everythings fine. They then tell her she needs to get a water softener which is going to be hundreds of dollars.The technician also says do not use any other settings except for these two. Can someone please explain to me why they have all these dang buttons and settings if were not supposed to be using any of them and why all of the clothes come out with soap residue scummy residue all over them? The old washer never did this. It was a Kenmore and its the same water same everything but this Maytag washer is been nothing but problems. It leaves the residue which is stripped all over dark and white clothes, it is extremely loud, not all the clothes even get wet! Maytag is been extremely uncooperative with assisting my Nana. They tell her no one else not one other person is having this problem but when I look up this issue I find that about 2500 people on this forum are having very similar problems. Something has to be done. Maytag should have to take responsibility for this washer. The bottom line is it supposed to be an XL. When my grandparents are washing its only for two people. Theyre not even filling that washer up of all of the clothes are not even getting wet. It just goes to show you that the energy-efficiency that they claim is not working. The washers not getting enough water inside of it. Its not fully rinsing the clothes and no one should have to put the clothes in wash them then do a whole another rinse cycle just to get the dang soap off. So basically at this point she stuck having to do multiple washes using way more utilities than she should have to and Maytag is basically going to do nothing. It wont help her over the phone the technician is a joke and it looks like so many of you people are having the same issues.

When we turn up the temp in the oven above 400 degrees, noxious fumes come out giving us headaches and nausea. We have to open all the doors and windows and bring extra fans...very toxic. PLUS the vent for the oven is at the top of the oven door, so the knobs for the burners get so hot you cant touch them!

This washer is a piece of expensive junk. It was used sparingly (2 people using it) for 16 months when a repair service had to be called. The estimate to fix the machine ($980) exceeded the initial cost. It did not clean the clothes adequately when it was working. There was a powdery substance on the clothes when they were removed. The clothes were always bunched up and intertwined. Only the proper type and amount of soap was used. I cant recommend this washer to anyone. We were very disappointed since we have always purchased Maytag washers/dryers. Never again.

We bought this Maytag Bravos top loading washer 2 years ago after having bad luck with a front loading Maytag. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I sometimes have to wet the clothes down to get them clean and I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer.

March 31, 2013 a Maytag front loader washer series 2000 was purchased. In January an error code E4 and F3 kept stopping the washer. Service replaced some minor part, worked for a week. Then service replaced a circuit board - worked fine for a few months. About June of 2014 the codes came up again. This time Service wants 430.00 for a 700.00 dollar washer to fix a continuing issue. So I decided not to spend the money. I could buy another washer, different brand of course, and try and fix it myself. I removed the top and the bottom front covers. The 3 wires going into the circuit board that was replaced were loose, barely plugged in. The catch all at the very bottom right had derbies and coin in it, cleaned that out. Looked at the motherboard with a magnifying glass. It had no bad solders, cracks or burn marks, so I proceeded to run my hands around the entire drum inside... and in the back side where you can’t really see were some more loose wires.... tightened them. Now with the spin rpms you can understand how things shake loose, I always look for the common sense issues.... I am currently on my third wash load. It runs smoother and quieter than it did when it was first installed. Point is the Maytag service sucks and with only a year warranty from the manufacturer. What did I have to lose to try and fix it myself. I am sure this is happening with a lot of other people. The odds of a motherboard or a circuit board going bad in such a short time made no sense. So check all the wiring FIRST. Make sure everything is securely plugged in. I would not recommend anyone buy a Maytag or Whirlpool (owns Maytag) for their reliability or service.

Purchased washer less than 2 years ago. Loud noise like a jet engine or helicopter in spin cycle. Did not purchase the extended warranty. Called Whirlpool/ Maytag customer service. Was told I could have one of their repair people come out. I would have to pay $300 which would give me the repair and extended 1 yr warranty, or I could get $300 off toward a purchase of a new washer. Are you kidding me? This washer wasnt even 2 yr old and making this horrid noise in the spin cycle. I had to have a independent repairman for Maytag washers come out to tell me it wash the bearing and would cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars to fix it. I said no thanks and after his $90 service call am stuck listening to this piece of junk make noise till it completely breaks. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again or recommend one. Whirlpool you sell nothing but junk.

We purchased an entire suite of Maytag kitchen appliances in September 2014 at a cost of $4300. Have had problems with every single item. The MMV5219DH microwave was the first issue. After a year it began to give us erroneous display messages when we tried to use it. We would input the number of minutes we wanted the food to cook, and wed get a message saying CHK TIME/OPEN DOOR. Repeated door closings, resets of the time, etc. did nothing. Sometimes if we hit cancel it would work - other times not. Wed push every button on the keyboard and eventually wed get it to work - perhaps 10 minutes later. When I called the appliance store (Vics Appliances in Saco Maine) I was told to unplug it for an hour. Okay, that corrected the issue - for a few days. When the problem continued, sometimes unplugging it had no effect - other times it did. Eventually we figured out if we didnt reset the clock time it would work most of the time (not 100%). The Maytag refrigerator began to malfunction at the same time (not keeping temp, and the ice in the icemaker melting and refreezing in a big lump that blocked the door water/ice dispenser) so we called Vics again and set up a service call. Serviceman reset the microwave to factory specs and we will see what happens. He also reset the fridge to different temps, and 2 days after his visit it has again melted the ice in the icemaker and formed a blob at the bottom. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG!!!

I have owned a Maytag washer since 1989 (25 years) that has had absolutely NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. It now has a slight leak, so I am considering replacing it. I contacted an appliance store and advised them of my problem. The salesman made a comment which indeed surprised me. He said that, although he would like to make a sale, I should do everything in my power to keep that old Maytag machine because they dont make them like that any more! From reading the reviews about the new Maytag now I understand why! I do not plan on buying another Maytag, which really saddens me, as they were once a high quality, dependable product.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher because they are supposed to be known to be a good brand. But my dishwasher is 3 years old and it started rusting around a steam vent on the outside of the door! This issue has been ongoing but as Ive been busy, I havent had the time to address the problem with Maytag since its out of warranty anyway. But I feel like this should not be a warranty issue to begin with, it should be a recall issue. I had a plumber look at this, and he said that it was caused because the vent was not properly sealed during manufacturing. Now it looks as though mold spores are growing inside the steam vent! Maytag will not stand behind their product, so why should I invest anymore money into it?! I would rather purchase another dishwasher (OTHER THAN THIS BRAND) than dump another penny into this garbage dishwasher!

Stay away from Maytag Bravo washer. We bought one a year ago and fought with them this whole year. It leaves lots lint on clothes. Weve had 2 technicians here 4 times. Now they finally said we can replace but will only get a prorated credit even though its been junk since day one and we contacted them immediately. If we wouldve known they wouldnt stand by their warranty we wouldve hauled it back to store for full refund. They dragged us along a year and now warranty is no good but they will prorate. Not fair at all.

Bought a washer and dryer from Lowes in June of 2016. Have had service on the dryer 3X and washer 1X since. Two person household that uses product a couple times a week. Dryer drum stops rotating / temp control fails / buzzer doesnt work / motor freezes up / washer makes loud banging sound at the end of the cycle every time....sounds like someone is hitting it with a hammer....Today I want a local serviceman to replace the motor but Maytag insists that I have one of their reps come out next Tuesday to examine the product and then go from there. I have been on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get them to pay me $128 for the failed motor that I will send them for inspection. They will not cooperate. They are hiding behind some BS policy. I want to inform you all in case you are contemplating a Maytag purchase. I will not purchase nor will I recommend Maytag to anyone.

I bought this washer and dryer (Bravos MCT MA655LDY) after receiving several notices from Hydro that I was consuming more electricity than my neighbours! It was delivered March 31, 2018. On July 5th 2018 I tried to use the washer. It lasted exactly 3 months! I called The Brick who sent a technician out, he said the control had gone. Not sure what that is, but 3 months? This is absurd. I would like them to replace this washer.

MODEL: MFI2265XEM1 - ice maker dispenser leaked water while under warranty; took two separate technician trips to repair. Several months later, called Maytag regarding leak and ice at bottom. Technician replaced w/ grommet w/ larger dia drain tube extension; smaller dia causing backup of water & ice. Now, ice maker quit working completely, ice buildup in bottom part of refrigerator and freezer building up frost which means air is getting into the freezer, and yes, the freezer door is completely shut! Please advise if there is a class action suit. Will contact California Attorney Generals office.

The fridge has a grinding noise that is getting worse, by the day. I cannot seem to define the exact location of problem, whether the freezer or the fridge. Maytag you stink, and your web site stinks, too.

Mine is the same sad story as all the others. Bought our Maytag dishwasher in 2013 (model MDB7749) and 15 months later, the control panel went out. We have contacted Maytag and they basically told us it could be our fault it doesnt work, so they wont fix it. Now we have learned that this is an issue that A LOT of people are having. We called their special number for this problem and were told they still wouldnt fix it since we called BEFORE having it repaired. So my question is, how is this legal and why arent they recalling this product? I know that there was a class action lawsuit against Maytag for this problem. Why dont we hold them accountable as well? This is bad business and we shouldnt allow them to take advantage of hard working people like this.

Our dishwasher developed a smell. We do regular maintenance and care of this dishwasher. Come to discover the entire thing is full of mold. Customer service is rude and expects us to wait two weeks for a service person to come out. Will not use the dishwasher because it is probably making our family sick. I have never experienced customer service like this. DO NOT BUY DISHWASHERS FROM THEM. They don’t care the product is defective and they don’t care about their customers or their safety.

Do not buy one. Maytag is unresponsive to repairs or parts that are needed. They are not even manufacturing the part that breaks. If you are lucky, you will find out there is someone who will fix the defective computer board... But Maytag will not tell you. We were without fridge for 4 months... They did not care.

I have a Maytag MFI2665XEW6. Im getting water on the floor by the bottom draw. It looks like the coil in the back is freezing up and then melting down to the bottom of the freezer and out to the floor. I dont know how to lower the temp on the door panel.

So I get the matching set washer and dryer when I moved into my new house. I thought I was getting a nice set. I paid around $1600 for them with the sale they had going on. From day one the washer wouldnt get a full size comforter wet on the bulky cycle or heavy duty cycle. I even tried the extra rinse cycle on both as well. I would have stop it mid wash and rotate the comforter. Clothes wouldnt settle sometimes and would leave the top dry and bottom soaking wet. In the first year the lid latch started going bad. So sometimes you would go back to realize the load hadnt even started. Clothes dont get clean no matter what setting you use. It is the worst purchase Ive ever made. The dryer was ok until its almost second year. It just stopped drying it seemed. I cleaned EVERYTHING! No effect. It takes 3 full cycles at minimum to dry clothes. I cant understand why these machines arent pulled from the market or recalled because they are junk.

I purchased a Maytag Microwave Oven MMV5208 WS 1 from Home Depot less than two years ago. Mine was actually manufactured in April 2013 according to the ID tag. A couple of months ago it started acting up because a switch when the door closes began to malfunction and you had to open and close the door several times to get the microwave started. Then all of a sudden when you set the timer and pushed the start button it would flash on and immediately shut off. This is extremely frustrating because I paid more than $400.00 and purchased it less than two years ago. I am disappointed because Maytag advertises its reliability and this microwave is anything but reliable.

I am in my 24th year of using my Maytag washer and dryer. The set was purchased in 1996, so it has been well worth the money. At this time, it does not spin out as well as it used to, but I just fluff the load and spin it again and then it is ready for the dryer. I have been very pleased with the set and have never had to have a repairman work on them. Cant ask for more than that!

Maytag Centennial Impeller HE Washing Machine - The seller left this piece of junk for us. I wondered why because it appeared brand new. After the first washing I knew why. I sure regretted leaving my old set behind. This washing machine wont let you add the amount of water you need. I had to add buckets of water and hope it didnt just empty it out because the sensor controls everything. Twice it just emptied it after I closed the lid and it locked. There is an impeller instead of an agitator. It moves slightly but not enough to move the clothes. To top it off the spin cycle tears into the clothing and twists and wrings it so hard everything is wrinkled with soap residue remaining even on delicate. Each load takes over an hour and the clothes arent even clean. It went to the dump after 4 washes. I went on Craigslist and purchased a used Kenmore and am in heaven. No lock, an agitator, 3 water levels, clean clothing, you can open it and add the missing sock, no sensor controlling how you want to do laundry and no more buckets. Dont buy a Maytag. Look at all of the reviews. They arent exaggerating, they are really that bad. Thank you.

Rather than go through all the things I dont like about this washer, just read all the complaints because that is my complaints also: bearings, not enough water in tub, clothes not getting cleaned. Just check out the lint filter and see the gray and dirty lint after a load and you will see it doesnt clean the clothes. Now, the motherboard is kaput! Cycles are all screwed up. Cost is $386 for motherboard plus labor and I will not put one more cent in this piece of crap.Listening to the salesman and consumer reports on the best washer to buy. All they are concerned with is energy savings and believe me when I say that all energy savings products are a joke because you give up operating ability for the sake of energy savings-- true of refrigerators and washers, dryers, furnaces and the like. I will be buying an agitator washing machine. The saving on water are not enough to give up clean clothes.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator around 2 yrs ago. Ive had repair out a couple and tried to take care of this myself. I am being told by repair men that it is a design flaw that the line gets plugged and water pours out all over my floor. The refrigerator I replaced was 20 yrs old, never had a service call & never poured water all over my floor. From reviews Im reading Im not alone in this problem. My dishwasher is less than 2 years old. Dishwasher will go on when we are not in the house. Cant control the panel. The control panel lights all come, have to cancel to stop the machine. This could be a fire hazard.

I purchased this machine less than 1 month ago. Have had tech here twice - he cant find anything wrong with machine. As for large capacity it will hold a lot of clothing, but will not clean them. I have had to put less than a 1/4 of tub full of clothing (about 15 small items). Use high water level, extra rinse, then rinse and spin again to get the 2 tablespoons of HE soap off my clothing. Takes over 2.5 hours to wash about 15 items. I have called Maytag and they will not back their product. I purchased at Home Depot and they said they have to do what Maytag says. Sending another tech out in 2 more weeks. Takes more water, more electricity, and more time to wash clothes than ever before.

We purchased a washing machine, top loading washer model MVWC415EW1 on 9/2/2015 and the machine did not work right. 11/2/2015 is stopped working all together. It will not wash the clothes. The repair man says we need a new cold water valve. Maytag says it does not have the part to fix the machine. Period. Now we have a new machine with a 10 year warranty which does us no good as Maytag does not have the parts to fix. So it is back to a laundry mat until we can save enough to buy a new machine from anyone but Maytag .

Maytag dishwasher model MDBH949AWW - I purchased a dishwasher thinking I was buying the best (laugh is on me). The date of purchase was 1/18/10, the control panel was replaced on 5-25-11 at no charge. On 10-15-12, the control panel failed again so I was forced to hand wash an entire load of dirty dishes. I used the dishwasher once a week. I am debating if it is worth it to repair it or replace it, in light of the fact that it could go out again the next year. Wish I had found this website before I made the purchase.

Oven failed after 2.5 years of normal use (1-2x / week). Apparently a relay failed (and burned out bake element). Contacted service & parts dept and learned that repair would cost $100 for service visit and $413 to replace the control board. Only the $80 bake element is covered by the limited warranty. Wonderful oven if your hobby is appliance repair. After 2.5 years, it now functions better as a toilet than an oven.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 in June 09. The dryer timer has malfunctioned since shortly after purchase, it will add time near the end of the cycle, sometimes as much as an hour or more. We have had factory authorized repair firms (tried several) attempt to fix the problem both during the original warranty and extended warranty periods. They replaced the mother board twice and the moisture sensor on another occasion. All to no avail. Maytag has been worse than useless in the whole situation, and now will do nothing. It seems our only choice is to live with it, keep replacing parts, hasnt helped yet, or buy a new dryer. You can bet it will not be a Maytag!This situation is dangerous, if left unattended when the malfunction occurs the clothes and interior of the dryer get extremely hot. It is a potential fire hazard.

Maytag is a product that I would buy any time. Even uses it well last for a long time. If you want to spend money this is a good investment for your kitchen and as for your laundry get the washer and dryer. You do get your moneys worth with Maytag.

First I would like to thank the salesman who has worked diligently to solve the problem I am having. The first load of dark clothes I washed came out with what looked like lint on them. It has to be scraped off. Yes I am using HE detergent. Yes I am using the minimum amount recommended by the manufacturer. & yes to all the other questions I have asked. The solution was to wash the dark clothes on power wash with an extra rinse. Very energy efficient! This was NOT the answer so I was given a 1-800 # to call. After giving all the necessary information & answering all of the questions about detergent etc. the conversation became a little more in depth. Does it happen with dark clothes? Do you dry your clothes outside or in a drier? It was becoming obvious to me that Maytag is aware of this problem. By this point I was even unhappier as no solutions were being offered. Finally after several would you mind holding the line again for just a minute he said he couldnt tell me to do this but some of his friends add a cup of vinegar to their wash. At this point I told him I was sorry I had ever bought this machine. He then said he would have a technician arrange an appointment. He arrived & declared I was using too much detergent even though by then I was using half on the manufacturers recommended amount. Buying an energy efficient washer where I have to use POWER WASH, EXTRA RINSE, VINEGAR & DRIER is not a good answer for a problem Maytag must be aware of as I read the reviews today. I have just done 2 loads of dark laundry with no detergent & the pants are marked so I WANT AN ANSWER.

Bought a stove in May of 2014. In July of 2014 we noticed a 1x6 stain inside the glass of the oven door. I called Maytag and they stated only 30 day warranty on cosmetic flaws. I said this was not there when we bought it. They asked if anything had boiled over because if liquids get in the vents on the oven door it can get in between the glass. I stated no, only cleaned with Stainless steel clear. They stated most likely when I sprayed the door it ran down in between the glass. I said that is a flaw. They said, no the vents are there to allow heat out. I asked if they also were designed to let liquids inside the glass, they said no, I said design flaw. They will do nothing. I also pointed out that nowhere in the owners manual is there a reference to this possibly happening. Our sons in laws have a 3 year old LG stainless steel with vents and have never had this problem. Maytag will not stand behind their products even when they are the ones at fault. Buy a different brand.

Purchased this machine (Maytag Bravo Washer) in May, 2015. Drive motor blew Jan, 2017. 18 mo. old. 10 year parts warranty and a tag on the machine that reads MCT (Maytag commercial Technology), which leads the consumer to believe this heavy duty machine. I called the warranty number, as I had properly registered the machine on the day of install. Said he would have a new drive motor out to me in 7 to 10 weeks. Yes. WEEKS. Really? I advised the operator that 3 parts stores in my area had the part available, and asked if there wasnt something we could do. He said no they are back ordered. How is it that Maytag cant get their own parts. I purchased the motor for 118.00 and my clothes are now washing again. NICE job Maytag. I suggest finding another company to buy your appliance from. Promises made are not promises kept. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MACHINE.

Purchased Maytag front load washer model MHW6630HW from Home Depot. Machine was installed 9/15/19. From inception we had issues that have escalated. Machine leaks and makes strange hissing sounds. Home Depot has no record of the purchase in their website now. We tried to return it within days. We contacted Home Depot executive offices and they keep sending Paradise Appliance repair. The repair people do nothing and keep saying we have to come back again for you to be considered for replacement. Home Depot is dragging their feet and we are concerned about the six month deadline. The Maytag does not do an effective job washing and clothes comes out wrinkled. Concerned about the sporadic leak getting worst and doing damage to floors.

We bought our Legacy Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in December, 2005. Luckily we also bought the one year warranty, because in January 2006, our washer quit running. We called Home Depot, we got the runaround and I think Maytag sent someone out. When he tipped the washing machine over, a belt was off. He said it happens. The next year, something else went wrong with the washing machine (not under warranty anymore) and I paid $129 for that visit. Three weeks ago, the spin dry quit doing a good job on the extended spin cycle. Tonight, I put a load of clothes in and though the washer sounded like it was agitating the clothes, when I lifted the top I saw it was just noise, no agitating. I cannot afford the service call, let alone the whole repair or a new washer.

Maytag dishwasher model MDBH979SAM1 purchased December 2012 From Home Depot. After only 14 months of usage the front panel ceased to work. Contacted maytag about issue and they responded THERE ARE NO KNOWN ISSUES WITH THIS MODEL. After doing some research (5 seconds), I have found thousands of people with the exact same issue. Maytag has stuck their head in the sand. Either they are ignoring this issue or just dont care due to excessive cost of replacement. This is obviously a design flaw due to poor engineering and Maytag needs to stand behind their product and fix this issue. Personally we had to save up for 1 1/2 years in order to afford a dishwasher. Now we are stuck. Some people have replaced this part costing $200 2-3 times. The way the outlet line and pump are set up, the Maytag Bravos does not remove all water from the bottom leaving about 2-3 inches. Even following the monthly cleaning and care has not stopped the inside of the tub from producing MOLD. When I contact Maytag there was nothing they could do about this problem. At this point my washer is only a few years old. I attempted to clean it myself but the drum would not break free. My options are, deal with the smell of mold and mildew, Pay Maytag $250 to come out and clean it (this would need to be done every 1-2 years) or buy a new washer. NOTE: I paid about $550 for this one. I have run a few clean cycles with bleach, but I think at this point the mold has embedded itself into the plastic tub.

MDB7749SAW - 22 months @ an initial price of $599 and control panel lights become increasingly erratic and finally machine fails to respond to reboot (unplugging) after the third time. Repair man over the phone is familiar with the model and estimates parts at $160 + $115 (gave me a discount) + $125 service call for $400 to make the Maytag run again. Bought June 28, 2012. Installed September 2012. Becomes trash July 2014. Wish I could be more helpful... but if I had purchased the service insurance agreement, it would have run about $90/year... that would have been an extra $180 for a total of $712 including sales tax. So, I had a dishwasher for about 95 cents per day. Nobody rents them. I cant give it less than one star or I would. As a new buyer I was not informed.

My 1 year old Maytag Bravos 300 dryer caught fire on Nov. 21, 2011 after the first one was replaced. Firemen came. Luckily, it didnt spread to the house. The first one wouldnt dry my clothes.

I bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2013. In late November 2014, I noticed water on the floor in front of the fridge. I called the Maytag customer service and reported the problem.. The customer service rep explained to me that Maytag discovered a design flaw in the part that allows the water to drain when going through the defrost cycle. I also called Home Depot. Their response was it was my problem because the fridge was out of warranty and I did not buy an extended warranty plan. After two more calls to Maytag, they scheduled a service appointment. The service repairman told me the same thing about the design flaw. I have the old part and the package the new part was in. The two parts are completely different. I requested that Maytag or Home Depot replace the fridge or give me credit for the amount I spent. Maytag is now saying there was not a design flaw and because of that, Home Depot refuses to replace the appliance. I will never buy another Maytag product or shop at Home Depot. The extended warranty is a way to place the responsibility directly on the consumer and eliminating the responsibility of the manufacturer and the store.

My Maytag dishwasher which is less than 2 yrs old had its control panel and board gone bad. It took almost $400 to fix it. It seems like an ongoing problem and Maytag does not do anything. I bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Cookeville TN. In 2018. After a year it quit. The service man from the authorized dealer in Cookeville could not repair it. After numerous calls Maytag sent a service man to repair it, this took about three weeks. This washer is a Maytag industrial, it has a 5 year parts and labor warranty, and 10 years on the motors. Now it is out again, after calling Maytag, and holding on the line for an hour, finally I had to chat with someone, and they set up an appointment for about 3 days. So service company call now and says it will be another week before they can sent someone to look at it, and another week to get the parts. They also questioned my warranty. DO NOT BUY Whirlpool Corp Appliances, ESPECIALLY MAYTAG. They do not stand behind the units they sell. We dropped $600 on this Commercial Grade wash machine (5.3 cu. ft. High-Efficiency White Top Load Washing Machine with Deep Clean Option, ENERGY STAR Model MVW7232HW) and paid to upgrade the lines to stainless steel. It died after 22 months, a bad seal leaked water internally, fried some components (no water ever leaked from the unit onto the floor) and despite there being a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty on parts sticker on the unit... the fine print says only the tub and motor are covered.There is no way we could have known the seal was leaking and it was not the result of misuse (overloading) or abuse. The parts to fix it are back-ordered months and cost more than a new unit after install. Glad I paid $150 to learn all this. It also did not wash great on most settings. Purchased at Home Depot, they refused to stand behind the product as well.

I bought the Bravo XL HP Washer and Dryer in 2014. Dryer is great but the washer just after having it 1 yr started making awful noises. Had a repair man come which cost me money and was told the bearing went out and I needed a new one. He said it would cost over 700.00. I didnt fix it as I could buy a new one for that price. I did that. I hate the washer. It doesnt get the clothes clean and the cycles are long. My clothes dont feel or look as good. I have to leave the top open or it smells awful. So, I got the new washer 1 yr after the other one in 2015. It is now 2016 and it is making noises. Theses washers need to be recalled and we should be able to get a different one or our money back. Please, do something about these washers as a lot of us are stuck with them.

I love it. It has a big tub. It has no agitator. It uses a lot less water. Many cycles.perfect machine. I would recommend this to everyone. Also top loading. Would never get another front loader. They arent worth it.

Ive always loved Maytag but this centennial makes grinding noise and doesnt wash clothes well. Even on largest setting the drum never fills all the way up with water. It adds water 8 times during wash cycle only to immediately go to drain after last add. Ive only had for approx 4 years and the 10yr warranty only covers motor and basket so be sure to understand your warranties.

First front loader washer and love it. Saving on water, less tangling of clothes. So far they are quieter than others that I have had. The dryer is almost 10 years old and the washer less than a year. The machine I had previous to this was top loader that had to be replaced, would no longer spin.

I have a bearing going out. The Bravo washer makes a terrible noise. Now, they tell me I need a new tub/bearing. This repair will cost me more than $250.00 plus service calls. This is the second repair that I have had on this machine. It is only 4 years old. I use it twice a week. I will not recommend Maytag to anyone and I will never buy another one. The steam/heat produced by the oven has made the electronic (digital) control panel buckle. Yes! This is a thousand-dollar (plus) stove, and it has warped, through no fault of mine. When I want to cook something, I press the keypad to enter the number of cooking degrees that I want. The problem is, the control board is not working correctly. Regardless of my typing in 350, it will default to 100 degrees and stay at 100.As a teacher, I do not have a huge income. Calling the 800 phone number for Maytag connected me to some local people working as independent and overpriced contractors in Los Angeles, California. I bought this Maytag MCT washer and dryer set brand new from Lowes October 31st, 2016. When I washed the first load it made so much noise I thought it was broken. Called Lowes and they said it is just noisier than the older ones. This is the water/load sensing model, supposed to be great. I am usually here by myself, so at most I wash one load of clothes a week. I have a queen size mattress pad in there washing right now. This pad fills up the drum pretty much, I have it on deep water but that only gives me maybe 1/4 of the drum that has water in it. The pad is wet from wicking, NOT from the water covering it. How is this supposed to clean anything when the water is not covering the items?When it spins out, it gets off balance easily. The manual says to not worry about balancing load as you put it in there, but doesnt make any sense to just cram on one side as the water isnt going to float the cloth around to balance. The settings for Bulky does nothing more than the setting for Deep Water, you still do not get enough water to wash your clothes.It also does not do any good to add fabric softener to the machine, as it seems to just take it all out, you cannot smell any fabric softener on your laundry when you are transferring it to the dryer. And the laundry when dry isnt soft like it was with the old machines. I will be 62 in December 2017. My parents always had Maytags, never a problem. This is the 4th set of Maytags I have had. And bought a set for my daughter in 2013 also. And this by far is the worst. Their quality is completely gone now. Nothing but cheap made products that are predestined to fail. Friend across the street said she had looked at this set when she was in market to get a new set. She has an friend who works on appliances and who works for stores selling these models and he told her, they were not worth buying. Wish I had known that. Do not waste your money.

We bought a Maytag dryer from Lowes on 4.23.20 for $567.87. From Day 1, it required us to dry even medium loads at least 2 times and sometimes even 3 times. I have been complaining to my husband since we got it. The clothes come out smelling almost burnt. But if you dry it once, the clothes are wet. And if you try to dry it the 2nd time for less time, its still not dry. So, it takes forever to do laundry. This morning, it sounded like a lot of metal was rattling around. So, I looked inside to see if change was in there, and nothing was in there but t-shirts and socks. It had been drying for less than a minute, but when I opened the door a wave of extreme heat hit my face. Now Im afraid to use it because I think it will eventually burn our house down. And with COVID-19, we do tons of laundry. We cant afford another dryer but may have no choice.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator two years ago with the front french doors and bottom pull out drawer. We chose Maytag because we thought it was a name we could trust, a good quality merchandise. However, in the last two months, we started having problems when the fridge wouldnt stay cold, the freezer worked fine. We removed everything from the freezer and my husband found the freezer needed defrosting as the back of the unit was a solid sheet of ice. It took hours to defrost and we thought that we had the problem taken care of.. and that we wouldnt have to worry about this happening again. However, we have now had to do this three times in the last two months!! I bought a Maytag Range with the Aqualift feature 3 years ago. Worse purchase every, the oven clean option (Aqualift) is useless. It do not work at all, be prepared to spend hours cleaning. I followed manufacturers instructions and its useless, after running the cleaning cycle three times I gave up and starting cleaning for hours.

We bought a top load washer and the matching dryer. A thermal switch (I think it’s called) blew in the dryer at about two years. Luckily my husband is an electrician, so he took care of that. WASHER-A little after 2 years the plastic “driver hub” stripped And the agitator has stopped working, the door is having trouble locking and it won’t spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes. I’ve ordered a new “driver hub” for $53! It is a cheap plastic part. Probably 1 cent to make in China. Robbery. This will hopefully resolve all 3 issues I’m having with the washer. They even charged me 9.99 shipping. $2000 later Maytag/Whirlpool should treat their customers like royalty. I will never ever buy another Maytag or other brands associated with Whirlpool ever again.

When purchasing new, sales person highly recommended Maytag products. Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749SBW3 - This had the SS tub that my wife was looking for. Now only 19 months later it has completely stopped working. A few weeks ago the lights on the control panel would randomly come on or not align with the wash option that was chosen. This lasted a short time, and then lights on the panel would stay on, and not allow you to choose any options. I reset our breaker and this alleviated the problem for another week or so. Then it stopped working all together. A quick Google search and it was obvious Maytag has a MAJOR and KNOWN issue with this model. The ribbon going into the faceplate/ control board sits directly behind the port that exhausts the steam. This ribbon over time becomes corroded and eventually malfunctions. I called customer support. They were completely unwilling to acknowledge the problem and also unwilling to help in any way. They offered to sell me an extended warranty @ $329.00 that would cover the service call and repair. Very unhappy that their product has an obvious defect/ flaw and they are completely unwilling to acknowledge/ or stand behind their product. We are a family of (3) and run this dishwasher about once every 5-10 days. Unbelievable they find a fail rate within a year and half with light use acceptable!

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model number MDB7749SBM in May of 2013. In August the dishwasher control panel stuck on Rinse only cycle. It has been stuck on this cycle for a month. I contacted Maytag and they walked me through a reset. It has not worked. It looks to me as if the control panel has failed. This seems to be a common problem with the Maytag dishwashers. As soon as the warranty expires, so does the dishwasher. I purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot for over $600 thinking I was buying a quality product. We purchased a complete, upper-end Maytag kitchen package from Lowes. So far, the MMV5208WS microwave has gone out 3 times; it was the magnetron all 3 times. The last time was a few weeks after the warranty ran out. After a lot of discussions with Lowes management, they then took it back and gave me choice of any brand. We picked a Samsung and have had no problems so far.As for the MDB8859AWS dishwasher, it was just stuck under the counter for the first 6 months of its life, because we were in the middle of a remodel and it wasnt plumbed in yet. Once we got it working, my wife loved it. Weve used it maybe 40-50 times since she was still hand-washing small sink-loads of dishes. A month or so out of warranty, it went out. There were no lights on the keypad and everything was dead. We thought it was the main control board, but it wasnt. The Maytag Refrigerator Model #MFF2558VEW2 I purchased from Sears is a lemon. Ive had problems with the freezer getting a sheet of ice, under the storage basket. The ice starts melting, and pours out on the floor. I have to remove everything from the freezer basket, remove the sheet of ice, and mop the floor. Ive had problems with a great deal of noise coming from the unit as well. The unit has now stopped working completely. I called Maytag at 1-800-253-1301, and spoke with customer service. I was informed of a faulty part, in the freezer. I received the part in the mail, and a phone number of their contracted repair company. The repair man charged me $166.00 to install the part, and informed me the digital control board needed to be replaced as well, for an additional $170.00. I called Maytag again...they said nothing could be done about it. Ive had the refrigerator for 3 1/2 years, and had all these problems for over a year. Im not going to invest over $300.00 to repair a faulty product. Maytag should stand behind their products, and at least furnish the parts, or replace the unit, with something that actually works.

I got a new washer and dryer for my ex wife and son last August. Its October and the agitator broke off. She is not abusive to things and just the two of them dont produce much laundry. We spent over $1,200 on a Maytag washer on 12/2015 and it did not work properly. The door got locked, had a couple loads moldy because we could not get it open. Didnt drain either. Maytag had someone come look at it 3 times and it still didnt work. Called Maytag and now they told me that they cant do anything about it because is not under their 1 year guarantee. And of course they are very sorry for my unfortunate inconvenience. I thought they had a good honest reputation but... Im just disappointed!

Washer purchased in May 2013 last month it stopped completing the drain and spin cycle and cloth stayed wet. To have the machine repaired, we would have to replace the control panel. The cost of replacing the control panel plus the service call was 76% of the cost of buying a brand new machine. As such we are disposing of the machine and will be purchasing a competitive product.

Zero should be a choice on overall experience. I purchased a Maytag Bravo 300 from Lowes in February of 2011. Last week I was doing a load of laundry and the washer stopped in mid-cycle, and it gave an alarm and error code ld. I checked out the manual and it said there was a problem with the drain line. I check the drain line and it was fine, so I called Maytag to have a service man take a look at it. Before he even looked at the washer, he said it was probably the pump, and it is not covered under warranty. And he said that it would cost $140. He obviously sees this all the time. He explained that the pump is too small for the unit and it does not allow anything to go through the pump. Please make sure anyone who may be considering buying one of these units knows right up front that they are going to have issues with the pump, even if a small pebble gets caught in the pump.

Maytag wall oven Model# MEW7530AB01 - We ordered this oven from Home Depot on Aug. 28/13. It was delivered on Sept.7/13. After a self clean cycle, the oven failed on Sept. 24/13. It was repaired on Oct. 23/13. Parts come from U.S. Im in Canada. Part # W10545255. It hadnt cleaned completely so I used the self clean mode again on Oct. 24/13. Oven failed. Fixed again on Nov. 15/13. Same part. Tested self clean again. Oven failed. Repairman fixed a different part. Thermostat #4449751. Oven still not working, had to order the front fuse again. Part # W10545255. Fixed Nov.19/13. Failed again Nov. 19/13. After not having a working oven for so long, Maytag finally agreed to send a new one. It arrived Dec.5/13. Tried cleaning cycle just to make sure. Oven failed. Same part. Called Maytag, told them I just wanted my money back. They refused. They would only repair. I agreed to have a repairman from another company come out. I told Maytag what part it was. They sent the repairman out on Dec. 19/13 with the wrong part. I called Home Depot a second time. I had called them after I talked to Maytag. This time Home Depot said they would take back the oven once it was repaired and I could have a store credit towards another brand. The repairman fixed the oven on Jan.9/14. Home Depot picked up the oven and replaced it with a GE and I love it.The part failing is a fuse in the top of the oven right at the front. Both repairman noted that a lot of heat is in this area during a self clean. When two ovens are having the same problem, I come to the conclusion that it is a design flaw and should be recalled. I only talked to one person at Maytag who was polite on the phone. That was the woman that got me the new oven. Everyone else was rude and hostile. I was even asked why I would clean a new oven. My experience was not a pleasant one at all. I wont be buying any products made buy the Whirlpool Corp. again.

Under a year old @MaytagBrand fridge stopped working and they couldnt get a repairman here for a week. I said this was unacceptable--we would lose hundreds of dollars in groceries and months of breast milk. They didnt care. I asked if they would reimburse me for a private repairman, they said no. Less than a year old. Friends, I implore you, never buy @MaytagBrand. This customer service is truly unacceptable.

Our refrigerator is just 2 years old and it have been leaking for over a year. It started leaking right when the warranty expired. I am so mad. I called them and they said... You can purchase a warranty for $400. I am like.... what!!! I called my home warranty and they fixed it for $100. A few months later it is leaking again! I am so mad... It is a $1200 refrigerator. What can we do as a group to fight for this? There have to be something that we can do?? It is so frustrating. If there is an attorney that can take care of this group that would be great.

Maytag has always been my favorite lasts forever no problems at all till something perforated the pump but was fixed promptly. I had my maytag till I moved and left it with my son so I do not have it now but I'd buy another maytag as long as it's not one of those water savers. Do not like those because it doesn't use enough water to rinse out the soap properly like the older original machines. Maytag is strong, durable and worth every penny. If I was buying another washer It would definitely be a maytag. They wash clothes thoroughly. Of all household appliances if have to have a maytag washing machine and my favorite vacuum cleaner. Maytag washing machines are by far a ten next everything else I've tried.

The way the side by side fridge/freezer is built contributed to several injuries. I am 60 tall and of normal size, and accessing anything in the side doors lower down always results in smashed head, near bleeding injuries. I am so sick and tired of it. No other fridge has done this to me. Add that to the shelves being near razor sharp. One of these days this fridge is going to land me in the hospital with a lawsuit. Most people are not 3 feet tall or 8 feet tall, thats the only way to use this fridge safely!

I have a 50/50 chance of completing a wash cycle. Most times, the washer stops working at 8 minutes remaining in ANY cycle. The washer will leave me with wet clothing and refuses to spin even when most wet, dripping articles are removed. I have tried to put all light-weight items together and that still is not a guarantee that I can get this done in one cycle. Most often, the error code comes up, I spin the drum around, move the clothing around and try again. This process is NOT energy efficient which is why I bought the ** thing in the first place. I am ready to put it on the curb for the trash man to pick up.We had a service person out and he said it is either the bearings or the motor (both a $400 job). I will NEVER buy another front-loading washing machine. At least with the old-fashioned top loaders you can get the load balanced and at least get clothing to go through the spin cycle. I am now hand-wringing clothing once again since the machine tells me when it will spin my clothing. That stupid chime is about to send me out of my mind!

Called about our upteenth issue with our Maytag microwave. Was told the part was covered but we would have to pay for service. The last tech told us how to wiggle the part to make it work. Paid a fortune and it broke again. They do not care about customers!!

This machine sucks. Im down to washing three to four items only on an extra capacity machine because every single load becomes unbalanced. Feeling the weight of each item and then placing it correctly doesnt work. Repairman came out. Said it was balanced. Lie. At this point I want to take a sledgehammer to it and send the pieces one by one to Maytag. They should be embarrassed to even have this product for sale to the public with their name on it.

We purchased this dryer a Maytag Model MEDC200XW3 about 10 months ago. The dryer slowly over time began to take longer to dry our clothes. After watching it work and seeing that the airflow in the tube was not flowing well, I noticed the lint trap was not functioning well enough and over 50% of the lint was escaping the lint trap and plugging up the exhaust vent. I asked Maytag for a service to repair my dryer and explained my findings. The service person on the phone wanted to send me a lint brush. I told her to send a repairman. The repairman said that all lint traps let lint by and said it was my problem. Well today theyre closed and I cant even leave a message. Now I know why the Maytag repairman is the loneliest man in town...

We have to rinse off any food particles before we wash or it may not wash off. So I use plastic wiper before we load. Only 2 of us so items may sit 3-4 days before we run our Maytag dishwasher.

I bought this machine at Lowes because of the BIG drum area and about 2 years ago, it started to make funny noises; then I got the F-51 signal. I tried everything, shifting articles of clothing, then unplugging the machine and re-plugging. I am in the process of researching a plain Jane model, not one with all the bells and whistles. I am extremely dissatisfied and wish Maytag would step up to the plate and recall these machines. A motherboard and the costs for other parts, I would be better off replacing with a brand new machine. Dissatisfied!!!

Maytag Bravos XL - I purchased my maytag washer & gas dryer on 5/12/12. In Dec 2012 the heating element went out. I had to wait a week for a repairman to come out on Dec. 20 to fix it. Now for the second time on Dec. 30th, 2014 the heating element has gone out. I called for a repairman to come out. I have to wait until Jan. 12th 2015 for service. I have 8 people in my home including 3 grandchildren. This length of waiting is ridiculous and very inconvenient.

Home Depot is selling defective appliances manufactured by Whirlpool and refuses to provide a full refund. I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot in August of 2010.Washer broke in February of 2011. No parts available for repair, Whirlpool replaced washer after 4 weeks. This washer broke in July 2011. No parts are available for repair until August 17th.

Pretty much the same complaint as Ive read about the Maytag dishwasher control panel issue. I purchased ours in Nov. 2009, issues began in April 2011, and service call for $129 where the technician said it needs a replacement control panel. I spent another $130 for the part and warranty on this specific part. In December 2011, issues occurred again. I ordered a new control panel in January and was told 3-5 days, called after 10 days and was told it was on backorder and should be shipped sometime in March. Youd think the Maytag President would be embarrassed for producing a product like this that in my eyes has tarnished what was a reputable household brand. Not that it will do any good but I will mail a letter to the President. One positive, our kids are learning to wash dishes the way I did as a kid, by hand. I sure hope the new control panel we hope arrives in March fixes this problem for good.

I purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer 3-4 years ago, upgraded to the premium washer and dryer, SS drums and have been dissatisfied from the start. The washer was extremely noisy; we were told this was normal. The dryer began making strange noises just outside the warranty period, and the belt and pulley had to be replaced. I was shocked at the cheapness of the pulley design, but the replacement part was of better quality. The washer began making a horrendous squeak shortly afterwards, again, outside the warranty period. The repairman said that they were all like that, Maytag used inferior transmissions and that it would be cheaper to replace the washer than repairing it. My mother had the same experience with a similar model. Needless to say, I will never purchase another Maytag product. FYI, there are only three people in our household, all adults, light duty use.
