I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL Commercial Washer on Jan.31, 2020. I have had problems with the control board twice in less than two years. To replace the control board it cost $560 plus dollars. I may as well get another washer. So, I have to buy two washers in less than two years, but the next one will not be a Maytag. I will not recommend their products.

Constantly does not clean clothes, always out of balance, codes constantly come up, only 2 1/2 years old and already rusting out. No matter what you do this washer does not want to work. Has special cycles for bulky loads but try to wash 7 towels and it will dance all over floor then shut down with an unbalanced code and you have to unplug to reset then wash towels again but not use spin and have to wring out towels by hand. I cannot believe the Maytag company has not recalled this very expensive pile of junk, and their service department is very rude and not helpful at all.Also as soon as you call an appliance repair company and tell them its a Maytag Bravos they say we do not fix those, do yourself a favor and junk it and buy any other brand. I have 3 kids now grown so we have bought about 5 washers over the years and when we saw that this was supposed to save water and energy and do bigger loads we were sold. Big mistake! Whatever you do never buy any appliance from Maytag. Products are garbage, service is nonexistent, and the cost will make you boil.

What happened to the days of buying a washer/dryer and having them for years! To spend a thousand on each and have holes in the bellow causing dirty water to Empty on your floor. Not once replaced, not twice, 5 times!!! Now Im looking to buy another. Old school for me...

I spent extra money on a commercial grade Maytag dryer $1300 before taxes because it had a 10 year warranty. The motor and drum quit - and Maytag refuses to honour the warranty. I am appalled by their dishonesty and lack of integrity. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I have only had this machine a few months and am completely dissatisfied. It sounds like a jet taking off and uses so little water. The clothing does not come clean and wrinkles are close to impossible to iron out.

I recently purchased a new Maytag Commercial top loading Bravos from Lowes. It looked like a sturdy model and has a 10-year parts warranty and to cover this washer even more... I purchased the additional warranty from the factory. The washer is delivered, set up... First batch of laundry the washer is making all kinds of noise, the clothes are wet..water didnt dissolve soap packet... Repairman comes out..washer out of balance, cold water not at full pressure... Computer failure noted. Now still making a lot of noise, my clothes are twisted and intertwined and still dirty. My dryer isnt even taking the wrinkles out and even after I iron on hi steam the clothes are still wrinkled beyond belief... Im so dissatisfied with the washer... I want to return it... I cant believe Maytag would manufacture a washer that is ruining my clothes...

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

Maytag Frontload washer MHWE300VW12 - I bought the washer and dryer in 2010 through Lowes. In Dec. 2012, it started making a loud sound when it would be in spin cycle. I called for service. When the repairman came out, he said the rear seal/bearing was bad and has gone out. The part and labor cost would be $1,184.36. Come on, are you flipping kidding me? Thats twice what I paid new for the washer. I bought them for the Maytag name. If I would have known it was a Whirlpool, no way I would have gotten them. My mother had a Maytag set that lasted 30 years. That explains why they dont show the commercials with the Maytag repairman that wouldnt have anything to do. Also, when the parts came in, they were Whirlpool parts. What a scam. Just more junk for our landfills.

I have a 4-year old Maytag refrigerator. The back of the top freezer compartment is frosted and frozen, and the bottom refrigerator is now too warm to put food into. I wonder if a lonely non-busy Maytag repairman can come and fix it? Oh wait! Thats the deceptive false advertising that I bought into when I wrongly assumed that these were great appliances. I cant afford to get this fixed and after what Ive read from other peoples experiences, it wouldnt matter anyway. It would just break again anyway. What a joke! Ill unplug it and try replugging it in after it thaws and maybe that will work.

Purchased a new side by side American made Maytag refrigerator (Model: MSD2559XVEB ) in August 2010 from Best Buy. Just returned from a 3 week vacation and the refrigerator died shortly after we left on trip ( 14 months post purchase date ). $700 worth of food ruined.

Purchased Maytag Bravo High Capacity Top Loader Washer in 2011. Purchased at Lowes. They were great. I did not get the product warranty. Wish I did. At first seemed great. Washed comforters and clothes come clean. It does always get off balance and takes a while to wash the clothes. Well I am on my 4th time having it repaired. Put over 400 into it. Now it is leaking. Going to cost another 300 to fix. Only going on 6 yrs old so done. Just ordered a new washer LG Top Loader with warranty praying I have better luck with this washer. Just wanted let you know I had no luck really. Thought Maytag was a better product. Sad to say not for me???

Same issue as everyone else. After about 15 months the control panel on my Maytag dishwasher model#MDBH979SAM1 has malfunctioned. First it would only let me choose the rinse option but now all the lights are turning on and the dishwasher will not stop washing but yet the dishes are still dirty. I called Maytag and they quoted me 249.00 to fix the issue. But if its a common problem with this make and model why do I have to pay to replace the panel. They should recall this model or replace the panel with an updated one that wont have the same issues! I cant imagine paying 249.99 every year to replace this panel that seems to malfunction no matter what you do!!! I paid around 550.00 at the home Depot for this dishwasher! It did not even last me two years!!! I want a lawsuit filed against this company and I want my money back or my dishwasher replaced with one that works and wont have the same issues!!!

Have read others reviews and experiences and wish I had visited here first. Our first Maytag washer and dryer set lasted over 25 years with only minor repairs until the transmission started to leak grease and was uneconomical to repair. Our second set only lasted nearly 10 years and were obviously lesser quality. The wife decided that she wanted the best and high tech version. She really liked the features of the Bravos 300. What a mistake! Not even three years old and she has been dealing with the noise and the problem with constant unbalanced loads, intermittent error codes, odors and the forever cleaning requirement. The whites were intermittently getting rust stains until I determined that the underneath side of the top cover around the bleach reservoir had rusted out big time. I replaced the top cover for over $125 plus an afternoon that I will never get back. (Out of warranty, of course). Today the wife called me to say that the washer would not complete the rinse cycle and she could not reset it. We had to pump out the water and pick the wet clothes out. A grinding sound is coming from near the bottom of the machine and sounds expensive. The service man is scheduled to be here day after tomorrow to give me the bad news. My next washer purchase will NOT be a Maytag or any other high tech piece of crap. Simple is better.......

We have had and used this washing machine for over 25 years and only had one small problem and that was to replace the lid switch and the machine is working today as good as the day we bought it, it has went through raising four kids and many grandkids.

Refrigerator (Model Mff2558vems) purchased end of November 2011. Early in 2013 notice refrigerator first forming ice all over freezer, including an ice sheet on bottom of freezer. Then noticed water around refrigerator. Called maytag and they sent repairman even though a little over year and out of warranty. Their service people seemed to know exactly what was causing the leak as they came in with the correct replacement part. Worked fine however, there was damage to my newly refinished hardwood floors which Maytag did pay to repair. A couple of days ago I opened the freezer and again noticed ice all over freezer. The next day, water all around freezer. I cleaned everything up, so I thought. The day after, we noticed the hardwood in kitchen buckling up far from refrigerator and the laminate in dining room bubbling, even though there was no visible sign of water. Called Maytag repair company but they couldnt come out for a couple of days. Called another local repair service familiar with Maytag refrigerators and he couldnt find anything wrong with refrigerator even though he knows leaking caused by refrigerator. Called insurance co. and they sent over service master. Leak is definitely coming from refrigerator. They had to pull up hardwood floor, part of walls, the dining room. They now have five large fans going and a defroster to dry things up. This is upsetting, as my daughters wedding is next month, my husband is currently laid off and I dont need this kind of aggravation again. I love the french door idea, so roomy for my large family, but I am now afraid of this refrigerator. I dont want it but think it is ridiculous I have to shell out more money when the refrigerator is less than 3 years old. I talked with a higher level supervisor at Maytag and they are only willing to give a 100.00 rebate towards a new refrigerator since the refrigerator is out of warranty. This is ridiculous. I thought by buying American I was helping our economy but what I got in return is heartache and crappy merchandise. If there is a lawsuit in California against Maytag about these refrigerators I want to join. My friend in N. CA who bought her Maytag refrigerator the same time I did is also experiencing leaking. So frustrating.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

Bravos gas dryer - three issues in three years. Same issue twice, clothes are not drying. Now I have company coming and have to deal with his issue. The blower motor went. So, I have paid for a new dryer in repairs already. The washer is making such a loud noise when it goes into spin cycle that you have to turn the volume up to the highest level on the TV and it is still tough to hear. It’s unbelievably in the horrible quality. Make the product and parts in the USA and stop buying junk from China and Mexico. This is good American money that is flushed down the toilet with Maytag as well as your reputation. Fix your quality control and do the right thing!

The fridge is very loud, leaks water from ice maker, runs all the time. I have had two repairman out to try and fix it but still not fixed. It is one year old now. If I could get my $2100.00 back I would take it and run. It so loud we have to turn up the TV so we can hear it. Drives us crazy.

On February 2006, I purchased a Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher and on July 2007, a motor leak. Maytag fixed it for free even though it was out of warranty. Thereafter (December 2008), the touch pad failed and I replaced it for $50. It is now August 2011, and that new touch pad is bad again, and this time, the part is $170. The Maytag will not run and the lighted display will not function from the start button. This was a $450 dishwasher that is now only five years old and useless.In all fairness to Maytag, their customer service is very good and willing to work with customers. Unfortunately, the product is very inferior in my opinion. To have stupid stuff like a control touch pad failing every three years is absurd and the replacement cost makes fixing it a bad investment.I will be going out this weekend and buying a brand-new inexpensive dishwasher that is on sale for $229. This model is not a Whirlpool product but it is a name brand.

The ceramic coating on the interior of the oven cavity in the top oven, which I use the most (may actually happen to the lower oven in time) has cracked in the exact pattern of the hidden element. When I spoke to the salesperson at the store, he wasnt surprised and said that it will eventually bubble and rust!!! Called customer service and was informed they consider this an aesthetic issue with no fix!!! They will not offer any remedy or compensation. Are you kidding me!!!

Maytag dishwasher model MDBH949AWW - I purchased a dishwasher thinking I was buying the best (laugh is on me). The date of purchase was 1/18/10, the control panel was replaced on 5-25-11 at no charge. On 10-15-12, the control panel failed again so I was forced to hand wash an entire load of dirty dishes. I used the dishwasher once a week. I am debating if it is worth it to repair it or replace it, in light of the fact that it could go out again the next year. Wish I had found this website before I made the purchase.

I do not recommend this product. I purchased them 2 years ago. Within one month, the drum stopped working on the dryer. This was covered under warranty. In the last month, though, I have noticed that there are blue stains on the new drum. I do not leave clothes in the dryer wet. Last week, the washer stopped agitating or cleaning clothes even though the cycle would still run. I called for a service call and paid $82 for this. I found out the transmission was not working. This is not covered under the warranty. The warranty for entire machine is only 1 year. The 2-10 year warranty only covers the drive motor and wash basket. I cannot understand why a transmission is not covered. I feel like they are not standing behind their product. Finally, after a lot of talking, I did get Maytag to agree to cover the cost of the transmission part; but I am still obligated to pay $150 for labor. Why are products not standing up to use as in the past? I am very disappointed with these products.

We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag may have been king in the 60s, but the quality of their products has tanked. Dont waste your money on their products.

I recently purchased a Maytag centennial washer and dryer from my local Home Depot. I set up a delivery date of 2/9/12. I was contacted on 2/6/12 by a Maytag staff telling me that my washer and dryer were on back-order until 2/29/12. This is unacceptable to me. Why does your company not tell its retailers that some items may be back ordered? I would have accepted this if told when I scheduled my original delivery, but being told days later and after taking the day off from work, is poor customer service to me. I am giving very serious consideration to voiding this order and finding a new company to deal with. I do not have the confidence that future issues will be shared or dealt with in a timely manner.

Dishes did not get clean. Bowls would stand up when you placed them in the dishwasher, then fall over when the door closed and came out dirty. The rims of glasses were not clean. I had several 3 service calls and changed dishwasher soap several times per their suggestions. I contacted Maytag and was told that the only warranty was for mechanical problems and since the problem was not mechanical there was no warranty. I then went through the Better Business Bureau. The ultimate decision from Whirlpool was It has been determined there are no defects with the dishwasher and the issue is use and care. Mrs. **s request for a refund is respectfully denied. I have purchased a new dishwasher which does clean the dishes and the Maytag is sitting in my garage gathering dust.

I had a stroke last year in August and my children got together and bought me a washer. And after the third use this thing started messing up and I had to call in someone. Now the warranty is up and I am sitting here with a new broken down machine.

I contacted Maytag, and they claimed to know of NO issues with this fridge. I told them its all over the internet, many others with the same fridge and same problem. Anybody up for a class action?

Purchased 4-2010, used maybe once a week, it stopped working 11-2013. They sent someone out to replace the faulty recall, which the recall says there is an electrical wiring failure that can cause a fire, so they replaced part. It did nothing, the dishwasher still would not wash, just fill up with water and drain, but would never go into wash, so we call and argue. First girl said that recall has been known to burn out the control panel so we have to pay for a service person to come out and diagnose it, if that is it, they will pay to repair it. Then when he does diagnose it, we call back, the next person says no, the recall has nothing to do with the control panel, that it is just a bracket that holds up the heating element... REALLY. Well then the Consumer Protection Agency has the wrong info because I just looked on there and the recall says, Electrical failure with the heating element that is not related to a bracket, I can read and I am not stupid, so we were out the $50 service call, so we finally got them to agree and pay for the part, but we would have to pay to put it on...HHHHHH NO, I am not spending another dime on service calls, I could spend the same amount and go and get a scratch and dent dishwasher for the same or just a little more. We are calling back tomorrow to argue more with them, then I am emailing the local TV station that handles these kind of issues. MAYTAG is a piece of nothing, I will never buy this or anything with their name on it again....

After 1.5 years, our Maytag bottom freezer ref has started leaking water on the floor. There is a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer, and ice in the slots on the back wall. This sounds like a frozen moisture drain. This seems to be a common problem. There should be a recall.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in December 2019. The machine started badly malfunctioning in November 2020. By the time I called for service, they told me the 12-month warranty had expired and I needed a new control board put in for $529! I called Maytag and they agreed to replace the board free of charge, but I had to pay $120 for the service call. They replaced the board, and the new board is faulty. The machine will not fill with water, it wont lock, and now it wont even start. This machine is a LEMON!Now they are saying the soonest they can get a tech out is 1/29/21. Meanwhile, I have a mountain of laundry piling up in my laundry room because I havent had a working washing machine for almost a month. I called to complain and demanded either a refund or a new machine--they will do neither. I used to buy Maytag because of the name, dependability, and customer service. No wonder they were bought by Whirlpool. I WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG OR WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. I should have looked at all the 1-star ratings online. BUYER BEWARE!

We purchased the HE commercial brand for our family of 7. It has been running mostly fine for about 2 1/2 years. It started making a horrible grinding noise about 3 months ago. It was getting worse and worse. I decided to google the issue and discovered there was a common problem with a nut falling off the bottom. I leaned the washer back and found the nut on the floor, right below the center of the pulley. I reattached it by removing the pulley guard which had been getting cut by the loose and wobbly pulley, put some superglue on the nut and reattached it to the bottom. NO MORE NOISE!! Im willing to bet that this has caused slippage of the pulley, poor performance and many other issues. Maytag should do something about it.

My Maytag range from the 1990’s is the easiest to clean top of the range I have ever had. Controlling the temperature of cooking is very easy. The oven is not as responsive As it takes about 10 minutes to preheat. Once heated it maintains an even temperature.

I have owned a Maytag gas dryer for 10 years now. I have had to replace the idler and belt 4 times now. This dryer appears to be built as cheaply as humanly possible just to get it past its almost non existent warranty. The replacement parts are even worse. The idler has a bronze bearing in it as a wear item. Really??? Why was this never even considered as a part that could be lubricated at least occasionally?Granted, lots of people do not have any mechanical ability at all and just pay through the nose for a repairman to come to their place for any repair then pay dearly for the service but, I DO have mechanical ability so I do all the work myself. That is why I know firsthand about the terrible manufacturing results and the very cheaply built replacement parts available at outrageous prices.

We have had this refrigerator since January 2011. All was OK for 18 months. Then the lid to the deli drawer fell off, the plastic bar that holds the two drawers up broke (weve had to use roof shingles to prop them up) and another one of the plastic pieces crumbled. Now the ice maker wont work and the refrigerator makes a loud ticking noise. There are only two older adults here and we have not treated this appliance roughly. After reading all the complaints on this site, Im wondering if any of it is worth fixing. My GE refrigerator worked for almost 20 years.

Brand new washing machine model MHW8200FW purchased at Karls, a Ferguson subsidiary, in Madison, NJ end of June, 2017. I wanted to buy a top of the line machine and this is what the sales person recommended to me. Problems started soon after purchase. Initially I contacted Maytag because the machine wouldnt spin dry a cotton bath mat weighing 4.5lbs soaking wet. I was told I should put more items in the machine to help balance it. Well there WERE more items and the machine wouldnt spin dry them either. I tried every trouble shooting Maytag suggested. Having exhausted my nerves, I called for service. The technician came and said these machines are extremely sensitive and that sometimes they wont even run an empty cycle. He said this is a common complaint with these units. One of his suggestions was to take bath mats, duvets, comforters... articles like that to a laundromat.I did less than 10 wash cycles after his visit when the washer started having more issues and finally broke down completely. The technician who came this time wrote a repair order indicating a mechanical (Stator) AND electrical (Control Panel) breakdown ($500+ for the parts alone if the unit wasnt under warranty). He also stated that he had never seen such problems in a brand new machine.I contacted Maytag for an exchange. Maytag customer service wrote to me that the breakdowns are ... normal, with all the units we sell some may have a defect in the first couple of months... and refused to exchange my defective unit. I can accept that there may be a defect that will warrant a repair, but in this case there are multiple defects in separate systems - mechanical and electrical - within the first month of service. This shouldnt warrant any further discussion, only a quick replacement and an apology.

It washes extremely well. Its reliable. The wifey loves it and thats enough for me!!! I have had no major mechanical issues. Since 2012 we use it heavily and every other day. I would purchase same brand if need be but Im confident that would probably be in 2024.

This happens to be a commercial one - I dont know why; the landlord bought it. It will not do just 1 or 2 items. I would need this for when I have a very muddy towel from the dog & dont want to put anything else in with it; or with a newly purchased item that I want to wash by itself. It gets stuck on the wash cycle & will not continue. Then I have an item(s) that is soaking wet, which I dont want to put into the dryer. And in the winter, I cant put it outside. I did an online chat about this & was told not to just put one or 2 items in the washer. What??? Im 68 years old; have been doing wash for well over 50 years & have NEVER had this problem. I dont know if this applies to all Maytags since this is the only one Ive ever had, but I would definitely not recommend this product!!!

I purchase my Maytag Side by Side Refrigerator back in 2006 New. I purchase a Maytag based on the supposedly quality of their Products. And I have stove, and dishwasher as well. A week ago, after purchasing groceries, and made it home. The Refrigerator had gone out. I tried calling Maytag without success and broke down and called sears repair to come out. Well they made it today, and I was informed the Compressor had gone out, and would cost me $998.00 to repair. Of course I told him to get out of my home, because at that price I could purchase a new one. And you can bet it want be a Maytag ever again. I am so disappointed in their claims of being the best. Purchased this unit back in November 2011. Sometime this year it started leaking water just like many others from the freezer unit onto the floor (many times large puddles). Im tired of the permanent towel on the floor to absorb the water to prevent a potential slipping hazard. I too went online and found a very nice video on youtube which showed how to disassemble the freezer compartment. Took everything apart and noticed that there was water frozen on the supply line. Melted this and put everything back together, for about a week there was no water leaking so I figured all was well. About a week later the puddle was back so I sent an inquiry to Maytag and let them know I had an image of the issue and asked if it was covered through manufacture warranty. When calling please press the available option or stay on the line to reach a representative.Frustrated I went online and found this forum where hundreds of other people had the same issue and that many of them were resolved by the new P Trap. So I watched another video by the same guy on youtube that showed how to replace the P Trap. I went online and found the replacement P Trap Manufacturer model # w10619951. One of the comments there actually said to call Maytag first as they were able to get a replacement P Trap for free. I believe if it was under a year old they would also pay for the labor to have it replaced. So this morning I called Maytag, the first guy Jim said I would have to have a certified Tech come out (76 dollar service fee, plus whatever the labor would cost) and Maytag would cover the cost of the part. I asked Jim if he could just send me the part and Ill do it myself, he reassured me that he could NOT do this and that the system was very specific. I told him I did not understand that a bad design and known quality defect, why should I have to pay several hundred dollars to fix? He told me that was the way it is. I asked to speak to his supervisor and put me on hold. Not only was the hold music extremely obnoxious but there was a loud humming noise as well, I waited for 10 minutes hung up and called back. I spoke with Maggie this time. I told her I wanted the part sent to me and if she couldnt help me I wanted to speak to a manager. She said she did not have the authority to ship me the part without approval. She said she could ask for approval and after waiting for about 3 minutes she came back on the line and said she spoke with her supervisor and that they would be sending me the replacement P trap today via FedEx. Had they not sent me the part my next stop was going to be the better business bureau..

The washer machine is only 2 years old and its broke, at first it wouldnt spin and now it wont wash. Everyone is saying between the parts and service fee, it will cost 200 to 300 dollars or more to fix, most technicians wont repair them because they say that we may as well cut our loss and just buy a new one. No one likes these machines. I wish I would have known what a sham the washer machines were before purchasing.

I recently purchased a Maytag French door, bottom freezer. It was delivered and set up by delivery men and when they pulled out the bottom freezer the bin and tray were missing. This refrig should have never been shipped (per Home Depot) and also delivery men. They called Maytag and ordered the missing part. 5 days later it arrives and is not the right bin. I purchased the 5 year warranty contract and after calling 3 numbers and getting shuffled around, they told me it should also have a slide out. They set up appt. for this Thurs. I wanted to file a claim for loss freezer meat and was told Miss, your 5 year warranty does not start until the 1 year manufacturer warranty is up. She also proceeded to tell me that no refund will be issued and they are NOT responsible when their product leaves their plant and gets to me. REALLY... The refrigerator was not properly inspected and still shipped. Not covered under warranty and fridge is 5 days old and have had issues from date of delivery. I will never make another purchase of a MAYTAG and their customer service could use more training and a course is representing their company in a much better way.

Maytag Bravos washer MVWB750WQO frame assembly and cabinet rust - I sent letter of internal and external rust issues to Jeff Fettig (Whirlpool CEO) and received no response. Then, I sent letter a second time with an attached signed receipt. Then, I finally received a call from corporate staff member stating they would replace parts but not labor. Labor costs would cost between $350 - $500.00. This is without the initial service call and diagnosis cost between $100 - $125.00. The determined parts list cost would be $700 - 50% for Whirlpool internal cost + shipping be approximately $425.00. This is more than the cost of a new unit or the value of three-year depreciation value of the existing unit. This does not make any financial sense. Whirlpool should provide a new replacement unit at their costs. It has been three months and with no successful outcome. Also, via web research, there are many complaints about Maytag/Whirlpool and I am not the first in regards to rust issue. Therefore, Whirlpool is attempting to limit their financial exposure by only offering parts that they have to agree upon because the labor costs will not support this additional investment in a three-year unit. It makes more financial sense to purchase new or be offered a replacement unit.

I purchased a Maytag Legacy Series Quiet Series 300 in early July 2010. It had a recall for a heater part that could potentially burn down my house, so we couldnt use it while we waited for that part to be replaced. They offered me a small sum of money towards the purchase of a much more expensive dishwasher which I declined since Id only had the dishwasher a few months at the most. It is now the end of August 2011, a month past their factory warranty. The dishwasher did not get my dishes clean, made awful grinding noises and three days ago, it refused to drain and then spewed 50 or more gallons of water all over my kitchen which then leaked into the basement. The repairman charged $85 to tell me that the computer in the control panel had burned out and was not fixable. I think I paid somewhere in the region of $500 for this machine. My last dishwasher lasted about ten years. This is completely unacceptable. In searching the internet, I found hundreds, if not thousands of identical complaints. Clearly, this machine is a lemon and Maytag should be forced to replace it or better yet, refund the money spent to purchase the machine. Plus, pay for my valuable time spent mopping up water, washing dishes by hand, searching the internet for probable cause and potential solutions, waiting for Maytag/Home Depot to respond to my inquiries and a large sum for general annoyance. Maytag had a reputation of reliability (emphasis on had). Theyve got some slick ads but they do not stand behind their products at all. I will never by another Maytag product and I urge you to do the same.

In April 17, 2015, I purchased another Maytag microwave but wanted the convection oven too from Home Depot. The convection fan quit working in January 2017. I called Maytag to ask how this was covered. Maytag only has 1 year warranty on parts and labor. So basically if you dont buy an extended warranty, you are stuck with a product that quits working. Apparently, Maytags work is only good for 1 year or they would have a longer warranty. I told the Rep this when I spoke to him. He told me they normally last 5-7 years. Wow, still not acceptable. He said I had two options. Maytag could send out a repairman and it would cost almost $300. The other option was just as ridiculous. I told him I paid almost $500 to start with and it only lasted 21 months. Of course he said if I had bought extended warranty it would have helped. If I paid $500 for an oven, why should I have to pay more to cover their bad workmanship?!! I am very disappointed in the quality and price of this convection oven. The bad thing is I bought all new Maytag stainless steel appliances in 2016 to match the convection oven. The products I replaced had been in my home for 12 years with no problems.

Purchased Maytag 3000 series washer and dryer in June 2009. Like many other reviews, the washer is making a terrible loud noise during the spin cycle. I contacted Maytag customer service and was told wait time is 10 minutes and opted for the call back option. Received a call back from an agent located in Tennessee, United States and he checked for recalls or projects and found nothing. Offered a technician call in my area for $112.00 for 30 minutes to diagnose the problem. I told him that if he checked on the reviews, he will see many regarding this problem and a bearing issue at a cost of up to $700.00. The Maytag repairman is not only lonely but out of business and Whirlpool bought them out. I would never again purchase Maytag or Whirlpool products. We are seniors and do not abuse our appliances and why do they not last at least 15 years. Talk about disposal washer machines, who can afford to purchase them every few years. The washer sounds like a jet going through our house when it is in the spin cycle.

This dishwashers start button stopped working after 1 1/2 years. We did not buy the Extended service warranty. So we are responsible for the service call and the replacement of the control panel. Ridiculous. I called Maytag to file a complaint and they never returned my call. I will NEVER buy Maytag again. There are enough problems posted to know better. This company should be ashamed!!!

This review is pretty simple, if you have kids, do not buy this washer! I just went to the local wholesale guy after almost 8 months of using this POS, and spent $200 on a older agitator machine, after the first load my 7 year old close came clean of dirt! There is literally no water and the motion of the drum, it is almost impossible for this machine to clean clothes. I really am surprised that no one has started a class action. And to anyone saying the are hog farmers and work outside and get dirty? I would love to see it first hand. I am going to post on YouTube and show what this machine really does. Think about this before you buy, We all get hooked on how big it is, thinking you can do 4 loads at once, but trust me the low water thing is real! How do you clean clothes with no water! I have owned several dishwashers thru the years and my favorite is Maytag. Maytag is quiet, barely hear it running which is rare for a dishwasher, dependable and plenty of space for dishes, pot and pans etc. I wouldnt have any other but Maytag. Also has several options for dishwashing which is a big plus. Love Maytag!!!

My old washing machine was about 25 years old but still doing a fantastic job getting the laundry done. When the dryer died we decided to replace both machines so theyd match. I had been setting money aside for years in preparation for this purchase. Ive only had them for two weeks and I stay awake at night wondering what GENIUS decided you can get clothes cleaner in a tablespoon of water than you can in an adequate amount of water?! My old washer could wash a load of laundry in about 20 minutes. Again, what GENIUS decided taking over an hour to wash a load of laundry in a tablespoon of water was a better way?! What working woman would choose to double the time needed to do laundry and then not feel confident that the clothes are clean?!!! I am so mad and frustrated and disappointed and I dont know what to do. I wish I could yell at somebody!!!

This is a continuing aggravation! On July 27, I discovered the dishwasher (MDB7600AWW) tub had developed a crack in the bottom right rear and had warped my countertop and the floor under it was full of water! I called the appliance store where it was purchased and was told to call Maytag. I have a 20-year warranty on the tub with free replacement of the unit if it fails. I called Maytag and was told we needed a service call to verify. I scheduled it for July 30, and 3 minutes and $75 later, yup, tub is cracked. Its a known problem, and the dealer has already replaced some for customers. I called Maytag to get the ball rolling for replacement. I spoke with Jennifer and was told shed get back to me.Meanwhile, we went to several stores, checking out other Maytag models. So, Id have some idea of what was available as a replacement. I called Jennifer on July 31 with a suggested model Id find as a suitable replacement. She said shed check and get back to me. On August 13, I called Jennifer for some answers, got the voicemail, and left a message. On August 14, I went online to chat. Finally, I was told Id have a replacement in 10-12 days. Id be contacted to schedule installation. On August 16, I called a local dealer again. He cant understand the problem. Hed replaced two others in a few days. He made some calls for us and gave us the name and phone for the company replacing the dishwasher as well as the work order. Installation was tentative for August 23. (Hed been cut out completely!)I called Optimus Solutions, and theyre awaiting shipment. Tentative installation was on August 23. On August 22, theres still no word. I called Maytag customer service. Sorry, it was shipped to the wrong address, so it was shipped back! Its now in transit and supposed to be delivered to Optimus Solutions today but not being scheduled for installation until August 31!This has become one nightmare after another with everyone pointing the finger at the next guy. Phone calls get only the same runaround. No, speaking to a supervisor wont help - theyll tell me the same thing. Isnt that convenient! Meanwhile, Im still washing dishes by hand and having psoriasis on my hands, which are like two pieces of raw meat right now. It is beyond aggravation; its bordering on torture! (No, I cant wear gloves. They make my hands sweat and even more sore!) Besides, I shouldnt be washing dishes by hand. I paid for a dishwasher that failed through no fault of my own, and now, Im being punished for purchasing it. I can guarantee that if I had no warranty and had to replace this dishwasher, it would have been replaced immediately!Never again. I purchased all Maytag products for my new home. As they fail, I can guarantee I will not be replacing them with Maytag or Whirlpool, which now owns Maytag. We bought MDB7759AWB Maytag dishwasher in 2011. It worked decently until now when it stopped delivering water to the upper rack. The cleaning quality on the lower rack also dropped significantly although it might be due to the lack of water delivery to the upper rack. Apparently there is something wrong with the internal pump. The Maytag service offered a repair for $300+ which I rejected because this is a ridiculous cost and I would rather buy a different dishwasher. My conclusion is that if you buy Maytag dishwasher you need to factor about $300+ for the repair(s) in 5 years as apparently they do when they sell you this product. Anyway, even though Maytag was a decent brand a long time ago (probably in the past century), it is not reliable anymore. It does not mean it has to be much worse than many others but if you are looking for something better than those others I would not recommend Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag double door refrigerator in 2012. So far the deli drawer has broken 3 times in the same way. There is a plastic peg attached to a side panel on the refrigerator. This pin breaks off after a few months of use. To repair it, you have to replace the entire side panel. The parts and labor costs are about $200 each time. It is obviously a design flaw that Maytag should fix. If you repair it every time it breaks, in about 8 years your repair costs are more than your original purchase price for the refrigerator. Dont buy Maytag products. They are inferior.

My name is Mrs ** and I dont have a complaint. I would to tell you about our washer. It is a Maytag. It use to be my mother-in-laws. She did laundry in it for 4 grown boys and 1 girl plus her and her husband. She passed along to my husband a long time ago. And now it does laundry for 6 kids plus my husband and me. I run it 2 days a week sometimes more. The washer is between 25 and 30 years old. And works good still. Im not sure how much longer it has but we are happy with it. And soon Ill be washing for 7 kids. We have made a decision to start looking for another soon. But I wanted to share my story with you. My husband is now in his 40s if it says how long it has lasted. It’s washing day today, so I’m angry, frustrated and livid to do it in my Maytag machines. I’m 72 years old and been doing this for 53 years. It’s not a job you love to do but you do it. I finally get to be able to afford whatever machines I want, so what do I do, buy Maytag. They are beautiful, see through top load, and see through dryer. So finally I get to use them, what a letdown. I don’t understand how they can put these machines on the market. Unbelievable! Also very expensive. The sensor for the water level is way off. It starts washing with hardly no water covering the clothes so this is where I put it on pause and add buckets of water to wet at least the clothing. I did a test to see how the clothes moved inside when washing. It was a load of white towels and I put in a bright green face cloth to see how it moved around in there. Well what a surprise, it stayed on top and moved about 3 inches to the right. That’s all it did. You don’t call that washing, I call that soaking! Terrible washer! I could go on and on but I’m getting too upset. Now for the dryer, the sensors don’t work right so what I do is use the timer and the temperature buttons only. Sometimes clothes gets stuck under the lint basket and by the time the buzzer tells me the load is finished drying, it is so twisted that it’s wrinkled forever. It has ruined a beautiful tablecloth of mine. I can’t sell these machines because I would feel very bad to pass them to someone else…Maytag does but not me. Because of my age I won’t be getting new machines probably, I’m stuck with them, but I would advise anyone shopping for a new washer and dryer, go out there and see what they have, come back home and look for reviews which I did not. Bad mistake! Note: I searched everywhere to write this review to Maytag on their website, none to be found!

Maytag Bravos XL HE MVWB725BW. Washer was fantastic at first. Then about at 14 months old, the spin cycle starting making loud noises. Called Maytag, they promptly dispatched a repair service. The estimate to fix the washer was $531. The repair man stated Maytag does NOT seal the bearings from the factory. They only rely on a rubber washer, poor design. Maytag was unwilling to help with a washer with their name on it that failed at 14 months in any shape or fashion. She mentioned that Maytag has a 2-10 warranty on the motor only (which is non-existent, its electromagnetic). This will be the last Maytag that I ever intend to purchase.

Have had this set for about three years (was a gift from my parents on having our first child), and its horrible. Clothes come out partially dry, with NEW stains on them, torn or frayed, and twisted into knots. Its supposed to be a high-efficiency washer but we often have to wash things twice to get them clean. We now have two little boys and Im starting to save to buy a different set (no Maytag ever again); disgusted that I cant even sell this set in good conscience. Will either be a donation or an eyesore for the landfill. Worst $1100 ever spent.

We bought commercial Maytag washer & dryer Oct 20th 2020. Very expensive ones. Oct 13 2021 they stopped working so had it checked. The shifter on washer went out & dryer blower is not working really!!!! Not even a year! Been without washer & dryer for 1 month because they didn’t have availability & now have to order parts another 2 weeks!! Never buying this product again!! Don’t buy Maytag!

My $1500 2 yr old Maytag mbf2258Dem refrigerator stopped cooling properly (wont freeze). The icemaker was the slowest I have ever had. That may have been the problem when I bought it. The Maytag Repairman came out and said that even with Maytag sending me a new compressor (under warranty) this unit was not worth fixing. I called Maytag and they said sorry there was nothing they would do. So l looked up every review I could find... and this refrigerator is just bad. Not Worth Fixing. So Maytag deceived me. On the front of the door it says 10 year compressor warranty. Thats a big sales feature! They know that they have a problem. This is one bad company!

Weve only had the machines for about a year, but so far they operate perfectly. However, the washing machine seems to take much longer to operate than my prior machine and is much noisier. But, the cleanliness of our clothes is great!

I purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series washer and dryer in 2009. The repair people have been to my house 7 times. The dryer had a useless part on the drum that made a banging noise while running. The washer keeps getting coins and small undergarments stuck in the motor. Every now and then, one of us leaves a coin in the pocket by mistake. I did purchase the extended warranty on the set. The repairperson that comes to my house is great. I would, however, not want to have to keep leaving work to meet repairmen. The machines are not quiet. If you need quiet from your appliances, this is not the set for you. If you do not clean the washer with Affresh or Clorox product, your clothes and your room smells. The clothes are always so tangled after washing; they tend to wear out quickly. Im not sure about this high efficiency washer. I wish I had just purchased a regular machine.

I have a MGDB850WR0 Maytag Dryer. I have had to replace the thermo sensor/heat sensor three times in the past three years. Dryer takes forever to dry. I spoke to the repairman who told me in confidence that his company receives a lot of calls about this specific dryer for the same reason. He said the part was originally made faulty and thats why it keeps going out. The part being the thermo sensor/heat sensor.

I wrote the below to Maytag on their FaceBook page, of course havent heard anything back from them. Adding this on since I forgot about it, I have dogs and wash their blankets often, not that theyre dirty just for the dog smell. I have to wash them on the sanitize cycle which is an 1.5 hours long because if I use the normal cycle which is only 43 minutes they come out smelling exactly the same way they went in. I saw someone else post that their mothers front loader doesnt put in enough water so Im wondering if thats what happens to mine. So wish I would have checked the reviews before buying, thought I was getting a great washer buying Maytag.This is what I wrote on their FB page: I bought a Maytag front loading washer on 5/10/16 which was delivered and set up on 5/13/16. On Wednesday 10/19/16 it stopped working, so just over 5 months from the day it was installed. I called your company on 10/20/16 for repairs, they couldnt get here until today, 10/24, so 5 days with no washer. The customer service rep had all the details on what happened and Im sure passed them along to the repair company. He ran diagnostics, said it was the drain pump which was obvious even to me, but claimed to not have one with him even though they were in stock. Cant make it back until Wednesday, so two more days with no washer. He then proceeded to tell me that the dryer had to come off (stacked on top since the washer is a front loader) before he got back, that the warranty wouldnt cover two people coming out. So Im supposed to spend more money to hire someone to come out, take off the dryer and then pay them again to come back and put it back on. I called the customer service department again and was told they dont cover installation which stacking is. She said the warranty doesnt cover stacked units, as far as I can find that isnt stated in the warranty so please let me know where that is stated in writing. So I have a just over 5-month-old washer that needs repair already (bodes well for the future doesnt it??), will be without a washer for almost a week because the repairman didnt bring the most obvious part with him (maybe wanted to be paid for two calls?) and have to pay someone else for installation so it can be fixed. So wheres the Maytag man? I am not a happy customer and will be letting as many people know as possible. Ill be in the market for other new appliances soon, will sure as hell make sure theyre not made by Maytag, Whirlpool et all.

I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer about 3 years ago, they were under warranty for two years. Two years and 10 later the dryer breaks down, repair 310.00, two months later the washer breaks down again, 331.00, while I’m waiting for repair appointment the dryer breaks down, 130.00. Then I’m finally able to do laundry, turn on the washer for the first time since paying 331.00 and IT DOESNT WORK AGAIN, another SEVICE CALL!!! $$$ IM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN MAYTAG, ESPECIALLY AFTER VIEWING YOUR COMMERCIALS!!!

We have had a Maytag dishwasher for just over a year. The control panel acts up randomly and has finally quit altogether. The design of the handle is very poor as it pulls the control panel away from the door. Will never buy a Maytag product again. This is a very clear design flaw and when we called Maytag they offered no help as we are passed the guarantee.

We bought all new appliances for our remodel. I wish I could return this dishwasher. It has a problem with the door staying closed. I added images of how we are able to make it work. A service person is coming by tomorrow to put a new latch on it (I read several reviews saying the latch is messed up). So I made sure the service person is coming with the part. I called Home Depot when the problem started (used for up to 5 washes or so). And Home Depot wont return it! I called Maytag and they tried selling me an extended warranty and I asked what about the 10 year warranty the machine is supposed to come with? I guess thats a joke as the lady told me I should of read the fine print. So buyers beware! I wish I would of know about Maytag. I would have about a Samsung instead!!!

I am a WWII vet. I bought a Maytag dishwasher 4 years ago from Home Depot... Cost me $600 in total repairs. Maytag would not help. My son just brought it to the dump! At that same time I bought a Maytag bottom freezer from Home Depot... It has never worked right. Ice dispenser broken after 1 year, food freezing in fridge at any temperature... It just died! Maytag refuses to take any responsibility for THIS POS!They should be ashamed at the way they treated me. I am 94 years old, and have fought for our freedom, and was looking for one simple thing from this American company. Its called fairness! Maytag sucks! You have lost a lifetime customer. After only 2 years my microwave stopped working. Now I can purchase a new warranty which is just as much as a new microwave, have somebody come out and fix it, or pay a service charge which is just under $100 and does not include labor and parts. I figured out now why nobody calls the Maytag repairman. We cant afford it!

The circuit board on my seven year old Maytag French door refrigerator died. I called a repair company out to see if it could be repaired. He went to order the part and said that it was not available. Now I read a review from someone else saying that Maytag does not have parts for appliances that are over 6 years old. Thats ridiculous that after spending so much money on an appliance that parts are not available. I will never buy another Maytag appliance.

Maytag Bravos XL - I purchased my maytag washer & gas dryer on 5/12/12. In Dec 2012 the heating element went out. I had to wait a week for a repairman to come out on Dec. 20 to fix it. Now for the second time on Dec. 30th, 2014 the heating element has gone out. I called for a repairman to come out. I have to wait until Jan. 12th 2015 for service. I have 8 people in my home including 3 grandchildren. This length of waiting is ridiculous and very inconvenient.

I have a 6-month-old top load Bravo Washer. It has destroyed two bottom fitted king size sheets and 2 shirts that now have holes. It apparently slices the sheets during agitation. I have a service policy and called the service agency. The technician said there was nothing wrong with the machine, yet it literally ate 2 more items. Help! I need a solution to this problem.

We bought this Maytag MFI2269DRM01 Fridge/Freezer in June 2016. We have nothing but trouble. First the center rail holding up the Fruit/Veg drawers snapped within a month then the freezer drawer would not close properly which gave us all sorts of problems (door open lights flashing and fridge staying on longer. Lights not working etc.) The service tech came out and tried to fix it and went away saying it was not repaired that he would need a new freezer drawer. In the meantime I had to push the drawer to try and get it to work right. Now the handle is loose and the stainless steel front of the drawer is damaged by pushing it in so much.This repair started in November and now it is the end of March. I asked them to replace the complete unit but they say that the warranty is just to repair. It seems like they have no parts to fix this. Then the new center rail snapped again!!! When they sent the part out to me to install, I found the main frame of the Fruit/Veg rack at the back had snapped. Everything is brittle plastic with not enough support. (The only vegetable that I think I can put in the drawers is mushrooms.) I thought by buying a Maytag that the name sold it. What a piece of junk it is!!! Will never buy another Maytag product!!!

In May 2007, I bought a matching Maytag Neptune washer Model MAH5500 and dryer. I also bought the 3-year extended warranty. Approximately 4 years later, actually 1 month after the warranty had expired, the washer started to get very loud and sounded like a jet engine taking off. I called Brennen Repair Service in Midland, Michigan. The repair man came out and said he did not even have to look at the washer. He knew what was wrong. The bearings were going in the machine. He said I could fix it for approximately $600 or just run it till it quits. I was furious. I called Maytag and explained my issue and was told that there was not a recall and they could do nothing to help me. They even told me that they had not had any complaints of this nature regarding this model. I told them they were full of it. I know of at least 4 people in my family and workplace that have had to replace the Maytag front loader piece of ** washing machine. I think Maytag should stick behind their product with all the complaints out there. I would like to shove my washer through their front window. I previously owned a Maytag washer for 25 years and had not one issue. It ran perfectly. I will never buy another Maytag product nor will anyone in my family. Maytag, you suck. Your service and reputation is appalling.

I bought this washer and dryer (Bravos MCT MA655LDY) after receiving several notices from Hydro that I was consuming more electricity than my neighbours! It was delivered March 31, 2018. On July 5th 2018 I tried to use the washer. It lasted exactly 3 months! I called The Brick who sent a technician out, he said the control had gone. Not sure what that is, but 3 months? This is absurd. I would like them to replace this washer.

Freezer does not freeze well. Causes most our food to get freezer burned. We tried turning it up and down but made no difference. Actually went and bought a separate freezer for meats.

I have been reading the recent comments about the Maytag Bravo I purchased in 2011, and is sitting in my laundry room broken down. The timer wont advance past 18 minutes. I have reset it to factory default a number of times to no avail. I am very frustrated that the customer service offered an extended warranty for $319 to cover the service repair and another 1 years warranty. My washer is three years old! The warranty they offer is half the cost of the purchase price! The quality of this machine is very poor. I am truly disappointed with Maytag, who used to be a company you could trust. They have lost my trust along with my business.

Purchased my Maytag range/oven 14 years ago and it still works to this day. I had to replace both oven heating elements. I am a do it yourselfer, took me less than 5min to replace both. The cook top is easy to clean. As long as you take care of it, it should last you a long time.

The control panel and the electronic control box had to be replaced after only two years of use. It cost almost as much as a new dishwasher (492 dollars). The model of the Maytag dishwasher is MDB77479SBM3. This dishwasher looks good from the outside and runs quite but the electronics are cheap and cant stand heat without melting. My wife and I are retired and only used this washer about twice per week. It looks good, cost 650 bucks and it is a pile of junk. No more Maytag in our house. We had this machine installed in July of 2014... It crapped out in July of 2016.

Dishwasher cleans well, but the control console has failed again & only responds to two functions. After replacing the console a couple of years ago with a new unit I thought it was done (it didnt get much use). Is there any recourse for this complaint? All I want is a new console panel. Maytags brand is apparently only good on the commercials. Very disappointing. Also, the top rack is very awkward & is only good for short glasses etc.

I had a GE washer and dryer when I first moved to my new home - lasted 15 years. Then... bought a set of Maytag and they have both been the biggest pain in the world. Spent 3000 and Im ready to toss them after 3 years. Dont buy Maytag!!!

Prior to purchase, I did my due diligence and read reviews about this washing machine. Apparently, they were written by Maytag employees, because this washing machine has been a major disappointment. Yes, it tangles clothes and sheets, but I feel that is to be expected since it is HE and uses less water. I will give it that and I dont have to dry nearly as long. But that is where my positivity ends. Clothes dont always come out totally clean. And then there is the issue with the horrific grinding noise. The machine has been making a progressively louder, angry, grinding noise with a high-pitch end note. And as of today, a horn type noise has started. Lovely.I anticipate the machine is on its last legs and I have only had it a few years. I spent too much money on this and feel like I have been misguided and, quite honestly, ripped off by Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer in October of 2011, I had a repair man come to check it since the spin cycle sounds like a jet is revving its engines in the laundry room. He told me that the repair cost is $493.50 to replace the transmission. The machine also has problems with the circuit board. The lid lock goes on and off and on and off so you cannot run the machine. Speaking to Maytag they just kept saying your warranty is over and we dont offer any assistance on the repairs. The machine cost $530.00 in 2011 and they think its reasonable to have repairs more than the cost of a new washer. They said they had no complaints on the model. My repairman advised not to buy Bravo, Cabrio or Calypso models since they all have the same problem with the transmission and electronics. I think they should at least pay for the parts, the transmission is $300. And we didnt even price the electronic part of repair.

I bought a Maytag MEDB835DW0 s/n M51202974 just about 2 months ago brand new. After less than 2 months it malfunctioned that it would not start. I called the customer service center on Sept 11, 2015 to report my problem. The rep I got was polite and caring and said she would keep on top of this. On Monday I called the customer service again to get an update. They could not locate one of the authorized repair people. The one they found did call me back but I was out of their service area and would not service my dryer. I was told that my problem was turned over to their Maytag/Whirlpool research or resource to find a repair and I would be advised within 7 days. They did give me options, I could take my clothes to a laundromat, which is 17 miles away where I love and they wont pay for my gas. Or I could get my own repair center but they would only cover up to $150 of the repair in labor cost and the part would have to come from Maytag/Whirlpool center. Then I would have to send my invoice to Maytag/Whirlpool for reimbursement. Now a company that cant get me a company to fix my dryer is going to send me my money back to me in a timely manner? I dont think so... Now on Monday after talking to the customer service I got a request to fill out a survey of my experience. I filled it in with details and today they called me from the corporate off in Benton Harbor regarding my survey. Well I finally thought I would have some action on this... Oh no was I wrong, they wanted to know why I filled it that way. I told them that this is a warranty issue. They did not offer me anything new but the same crap that the customer service offered. I now have a dryer less than 2 months old that I paid cash for. I am also 70 years old and on a fixed income as I explained to the Benton Harbor. It is quite evident that they could care less about customer service and their warranty. They do advertise on TV the Maytag repairman. Trust me this person does not exist and now I have $700+ item that I should put out on my lawn, take off the door and use it as a planter... and have a sign on THIS IS MAYTAG. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. I am so frustrated with this issue I want to scream.

Why are the clothes in my dryer getting stuck in Maytag Neptune? It seems there is a little opening around the rim of the barrel in the back of my dryer that drawstrings, zippers or similar small parts of the clothes can get stuck in. It twists the clothes around and is ruining clothes, also is making a thump-thump sound. Someone, please help!

Purchased a maytag washer last yr. and I feel it is the worst washer I have ever dealt with. I hate that every time I wash somethings they come out with lint all over them and they are the same things I have washed before and never had the problem, plus I hate the cover locks so you cant put water in before you put soap in.

Purchased new Maytag Refrigerator from Mannys in Western MA. Top freezer, over $900.00. Never has worked correctly. We need to turn the freezer way up to freeze the ice cream and it forms frost all around the freezer with mini icicles hanging! But even worse... no matter what setting you put the refrigerator on it ruins your food by freezing everything. The only safe spot is in the deli drawer. I have thrown away hundreds of dollars worth of food that is destroyed because it froze in the refrigerator.A service man from Mannys came and ordered parts. He came back and said they were the wrong parts. Now he says that the refrigerator has a problem and Maytag is trying to come out with a plan on how to fix it. I talked with Maytag (took 44 minutes to get someone on the phone). The manager in service was rude, said they dont replace food and they would work on fixing it. 2 weeks later... no calls from either place. I called Mannys and they said they should have some news by next week. In the meantime I dont have a refrigerator that works! NEVER BUY A MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR!!! It is still under warranty and I asked for a new refrigerator... both Mannys and Maytag said no way.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWW2 3 yrs ago. Started having problems with it not filling with water after first cycle. After examination determined that the control panel/handle on the top of the door had broken away from its attachment points/screws behind the pane. Every time the door was opened this would allow moisture and steam to infiltrate into the door interior. And guess what, it now needs a new electronic control panel. After seeing all the other reviews, it is safe to say this is not the Maytag of our parents or grandparents.

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

I am writing to tell you the dishwasher sold to my family malfunctioned as a result of an apparent design flaw. I also ended up wasting an entire day for a service person who never arrived. On October 14, 2009, my family bought a Maytag Dishwasher (model #MDBH979AWW) from Home Depot. It had run beautifully until last week, when the left-hand side of the control panel went dead. I then called the Maytag service number (800-688-9900) listed in the instruction manual and scheduled an appointment with the A&E Factory Service vendor for the following Friday (July 6th, 2012) between 8:00AM and 12:00PM. Around 12:30PM, no one had arrived, so I called again. I was told by the agent that the technician was en route and would arrive at my home in forty five minutes. At 2PM, still nobody arrived. I rang again when I was then informed that my name had been strangely kicked out of the system and made available for a reschedule. Wanting to stick with a Maytag-approved business, I went ahead and scheduled the next earliest appointment available, Monday, July 9, 2012. The technician from A&E Factory Service that actually did show up reported that the entire control panel had to be replaced at a cost of $281.48. Interestingly, he added that he had seen other Maytag dishwashers with this exact same problem and recommended that I wait until the water settled before adding extra dishes during a cycle since water apparently leaks into the electronics via a small gap on the top of the inside of the door. Of course, there is nothing in the instructions warning against such.I chose to fix the machine since I didnt have the money to purchase a new one. Are your dishwashers designed to last only a few years? I truly believe that I have been duped by Maytag since this problem resulted from a design flaw. I am asking you to please look into these matters and correct any wrongdoing that you see fit. Copies of receipts for the dishwasher purchase and service repair are enclosed.

Thankfully, Home Depot replaced the washer when Maytag wouldnt authorize a replacement after I had it for 3 days. Maytag wanted me to order a part, wait for the part, and then schedule their third party service contractor. It’s been about 2 weeks without a washer. Ive been posting about my experience and received an email from Maytag asking me to post feedback on their site, but it was rejected. Their note to me was “Our publication guidelines do not permit content that references a service policy, customer service interaction, or customer service question.” In other words, theyre not at all interested in customer service. Maytag/Whirlpool is no longer the brand to look for.

My dishes come out super clean and I love it, even when there is calcium build-up around the filter. Thanks to Maytag and their great technology. You cant beat Maytag.

This Bravo Top Loading Washer does not thoroughly clean my clothes. It doesn’t fill properly with water, and it leaves soap residue on my clothes, because it’s not using enough water. I’m using the 2 rinse cycle trying to prevent this, and it’s still not enough. It has actually ruined a few of my items. It is the WORST washing machine I’ve ever purchased. I’m disappointed in Maytag for producing such an awful machine and Sears for selling such a sub par product.

I purchased a dishwasher model #MDB4709PAM from home Depot in March 2014. There is something wrong with the electrical and it is shocking people if you touch it. Just so were clear.. MY DISHWASHER IS ELECTROCUTING PEOPLE... Called Maytag repair because hey its only five months old. Cant send anyone out for three weeks.... three. Took an hour on the phone because I had to talk to four departments. Kept asking if anyone had been hurt seriously or property damage, so they made sure their butts were covered, sigh..... Should have bought the LG.

I purchased a matching set Maytag washer & dryer June 2013. Sept 2013 the drum went out - 4 weeks for that repair. March 2014 the electric panel went out. Took about 10 phone calls with hold waits of 30 to 70 minutes and 4 months, to find out the replacement part is no longer available and the washer is discontinued. To get a new matching set, I had to pay for a new dryer and they will give me a free washer. I have to give both washer and dryer back - I paid for 2 dryers. 6 month later and more phone calls, no washer and no one will return my calls. The dryer I paid for is at the appliance store waiting on the new washer. We consumers have nowhere to go. I have heard so many similar situations. Where are we to go? Who are we to call?

I purchase my Maytag electric glass top stove 9 years ago. 2 years ago, one of the burners went out and had to be replaced. Now, in the past 2 days, my oven is taking FOREVER to preheat from 0 to 455 degrees. So far, its been 78 minutes waiting for it to go from 0 degrees to 425! Apparently the heating element is defective. As far as the self cleaning oven, it is absolutely worthless, and does NOT work! Needless to say that Im very disappointed, and looking at another repair expense!

My refrigerator is a lemon! We bought a Maytag bottom freezer French door refrigerator model #MFD2561HEW in May of 2007. Less than a year later, it stopped working and ruined all the food inside. I cant remember the problem that time, but it was fixed by Maytag and we were reimbursed for a portion of the food we lost. Two years later, the temperature got warm in the refrigerator and freezer sections, and we were gone for a couple of days, so when we got home, all of our food was spoiled. This time we had an extended warranty in effect and they replaced a circuit board, but we were out the food. A few months later, the same thing happened. This time we were home and saved most of the food. The compressor was replaced, again under warranty, but it took 2 weeks to get the part. Now, less than a year later, the freezer and refrigerator compartments are getting too warm and frost is forming in the back of the freezer. When it finally does get cool, it freezes the food in the refrigerator section. It also makes loud bumping sounds. I paid $80 to a repairman today to tell me that theres nothing wrong with it, thats just the way it runs! He suggested I put a gallon of milk jugs filled with water in the freezer to hold the temperature when it starts to rise! This piece of junk is just 5 years old! When I complained, I was told to call Maytag and discuss it with them. This refrigerator was not cheap and I see that many others have had similar problems. How do they get away with selling an inferior product?

I purchased a dishwasher and stove from Home Depot. Stove has already been replaced twice because of faulty manufacturing and now the dishwasher, after 1 1/2 years no longer works due to the control panel. I called a repair representative of Whirlpool/Maytag and explained the circumstances. Their own customer service people indicate that it is cheaper to replace a product then it is to repair it. Shame on Maytag and Whirlpool that they move their companies to countries outside of the United States and they no longer stand behind their product. Shame on them that what use to be the best product around is no longer worth paper you print on. I will no longer purchase any product from Maytag, Whirlpool or Home Depot since they all seem to line their pockets from products they know wont last. One mouth is worth a thousand complaints and I plan on screaming from the rooftops!

I will never buy another Maytag product. Our dishwasher is not even 2 years old and the control board went bad. No extended warranty was purchased because we assumed that it would last longer than 2 years when our Sears Kenmore lasted 25 years. No help from customer service. We now have to spend over $300 to get this piece of junk repaired.

Bought a Maytag MVWX655DW top loader clothes washer from Best Buy on 7-7-2020 it was delivered as promised on Friday 7-10-2020. The people who delivered it were very professional and nice. They did a great job installing it. My wife went to use it for the first time Saturday morning 7-11-2020. Luckily this washer had a see through door. We could not believe our eyes, it never put enough water in the tub to cover the clothes. So as we watched the clothes on top never participated in the wash, they just moved around. When it went to spin cycle it was making a loud clicking sound as it was shaking. So we tried different settings, after 3 loads I called BB and said I want to return it. This machine has been mislabeled, its not a clothes washer, its a noise maker at best. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. IT DOESNT WASH CLOTHES.
