I have Maytag Model MGT8885XS03 Gas Range. I bought it in Nov 2013. The surface burner valves, which regulate the gas flow, are a bad design. One valve got stuck and needed replacement within first 13 month. Then another valve got stuck about a year ago and the third one got stuck today Nov 19. So far I spent $400.00, just for 2 of them and the last one has not being replaced yet. This is a safety issue, because it always happen when the stove is on and will not turn off. I need Maytag to replace my stove because I am afraid this will burn my house down. I bought Maytag because they always advertise as quality product, and now I have to live with the nightmare of burning my house down.

I have a Bravos washer model # mvwb45owqo and matching dryer. The price for the pair was $1347.00 plus tax. The washer and dryer were bought Jan 14 2010. 10-10-13 the pump went bad and was replaced. I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Maytag and I will never own anything that has the Maytag name on it again.

Bought this Maytag XL washer and dryer in September 2012. In January 2014, the washer stopped working. Service guy came out and said the electronics went out. Then in May 2014, the dryer died. The dryer door latch broke. Would not stay shut. 2 days later, the heating element went out. Again, the service man came out. This service man said that this model is subject to break downs. This Maytag is a piece of junk. I went out and bought a Whirlpool, which I had before. I would never buy a Maytag again. I paid over 2000.00 for this Maytag and it is the worst washer and dryer I have ever had. Apparently, the Maytag repairman needs to get his butt busy. I have the Maytag now on my sunporch, waiting for the junk man to come and get it.

Front load washer unit does not respond to control inputs. I have called Maytag service and support. One can find a repair or maintenance manual. Im in a smaller market so there is limited service. Maytag service and online support is terrible. Maytag stores are fronts for independent service companies. Its probably okay, but misleading. Everyone wants to order the main controller board. It would be good to have a maintenance manual.

I purchased a Maytag energy efficient dishwasher in June of 2010 along with an extended warranty that I keep extending. Cost $ but needed. Issue: Sensor in Panel fails so far every year and needs to be replaced. The repair technician showed me the sensor strip and indicated that this has been a big problem. (At least I have a warranty; however, it is a big pain to have to schedule a service repair person to fix the problem.) Repair (Sears) is EXCELLENT with great customer service. I did contact Maytag and there has been no recall.I own other Maytag appliances such as a washing machine and refrigerator with no issues there. In any case, I needed to replace my clothes dryer and did not select a Maytag. I purchased a GE very simple product with no sensor/bells and whistles. Not sure if I will go back to Maytag in the future - depends upon how they handle problems with their appliances. I would rather pay extra money for quality, durability, and reliability than go through the inconvenience from parts that are not made well enough to hold up.

Maytag washer Model #: MVWX655DW - I purchased this machine at Lowes in May of 2016. Always was a loud machine but seemed to work ok. In April 2018 the machine stopped working correctly. The spin cycle would lock up and not finish leaving clothes soaked. Called Lowes and waited for their repairman. He came and said it was the clutch and drive motor. Repair is over $400. Machine is worthless. Huge mistake. Never buy a Maytag. I called Maytag to see if they would warranty it. They basically said, Sorry only a one-year warranty on it. I told them the reason I bought it was it had 10-year warranty on it. They said only certain parts but its the drive motor that is clearly marked on the machine that has the 10-year warranty. I was told, No sorry. What huge waste of money. I am out close to $600 and Lowes only give you a store credit with their protection plan.The credit is not enough to purchase another machine without more out of pocket expenses. I will never buy another Maytag and I would not recommend anyone else does. Their warranty is a huge joke. Their customer service is terrible. Maytag should not even bother sticking the 10-year drive motor warranty on their machines. They do not honor it. My advice do not even consider buying one. You will be out the money and be purchasing a new machine within two years.

I have owned a Maytag gas dryer for 10 years now. I have had to replace the idler and belt 4 times now. This dryer appears to be built as cheaply as humanly possible just to get it past its almost non existent warranty. The replacement parts are even worse. The idler has a bronze bearing in it as a wear item. Really??? Why was this never even considered as a part that could be lubricated at least occasionally?Granted, lots of people do not have any mechanical ability at all and just pay through the nose for a repairman to come to their place for any repair then pay dearly for the service but, I DO have mechanical ability so I do all the work myself. That is why I know firsthand about the terrible manufacturing results and the very cheaply built replacement parts available at outrageous prices.

Do not buy this dishwasher unless you get the extended warranty. We purchased this dishwasher in Jan 2014. The first one delivered was completely busted up (which was probably the delivery companys fault for not handling it correctly). Then we had to wait for the replacement one to come in to get installed. In Sept 2014 the control panel stopped working. It was repaired under the warranty but it took several weeks for the authorized repair shop to be able to come out, diagnose, order part, and then come back to fix it. Now March 2015 (5 months later) we had the same exact problem with the control panel. The repair company was unwilling to order the part to bring with them even though they already had it in their records what we needed due to the previous repair. It was going to $300 to repair it since they only warranty the repair for 90 days. We decided to replace our 14-month old dishwasher rather than put any more money into it. Shame on you Maytag for putting out such a bad product - obviously this is a common problem. It is quiet and does a good job of washing but to have it take several weeks to get a repair done combined with having a problem that cost 50% of the purchase price to replace twice within a year of each other, absolutely not worth the money. Should have just spent the extra on a higher quality product. Will definitely get the extended warranty on whatever we replace it with.

Purchased new about 3 years ago, doesnt clean, ties clothes in knots, leaves white spots from softener that doesnt get wet sometimes after cycle, some areas are still dry after untying. Now error code 51 keeps appearing, service man 4 times replaced rps sensor as directed, nothing changes. Need a chain to drag behind truck, no technical support from Maytag or whirlpool. Old ones of 20 years still worked good, gave to niece. Lucky her.

This appears to be a common, known, well publicized problem - freezer drain clogs and needs to be either changed or repaired with a fix, a free replacement part for the drain seal. Easy to install, takes 15 minutes. HOWEVER Maytag will not give you the part!! In order to take advantage of Maytags correction for a well known, chronic, manufacturer defect, you must engage an authorized service person for hundreds of dollars and wasted vacation time waiting at home for them to show up. Unlike any other product, recall this one is not free. My kitchen is full of Maytag products; dishwasher (not so good), range and a refrigerator that had to be replace when the compressor went out after six years. However this is the last straw, Ive learned my lesson, seen the light, THIS IS THE LAST MAYTAG PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY.

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - Just DONT BUY this junk. We bought the washer and dryer set from Home Depot in 2011 and have had nothing but trouble with the washer. Three times small objects like dimes, pennies and nickels got past the agitator into the drain pump which has been replaced twice. Beneath the agitator we even found a few missing socks. Today after a visit to the Laundromat, we bought a Samsung with a 5 year extended warranty. If that doesnt work it will be an old fashioned Speed Queen next. We will never buy anything Maytag again and I hope to influence everyone we meet about them. I cant wait to throw it into the city landfill for recycle dog food cans.

I bought a fridge, model number MBF1958, its a top fridge-bottom freezer. The freezer part leaked and spilled water that then froze onto the bottom of the freezer, which of course froze. I discovered this 1 month after the 1 year warranty ended. Maytag gave me a courtesy repair service guaranteed for 90 days. Of course, 2 weeks after the 90-day period ended, I have the same problem again.

I purchased this washer... the Maytag Bravos. It is the worst clothes washing experience. I only use one cycle as the other cycles do not provide enough water to wet the clothes. It is a large capacity top loader. DONT DO IT!

Maytag Bravos Automatic Washer 300 - I purchased this washer on July 29, 2010 from HH Gregg. It is less than 3 years old. The washer stopped mid-cycle, did not drain, and displayed the code Ld. The service company recommended by Maytag said that the control panel is defective, and the cost to repair/replace it is over $550 and isnt worth fixing since, he says, these washers are notorious for having problems. Maytag is unwilling to recall this washer despite all of the problems that have been reported. They are unwilling to even admit there is a problem.

We had a three-year warranty which expired. We used a repair once for a rusting Clorox basin. Now, the tub swings wildly on every wash and will not complete because we get the UL warning. Weve tried making sure the washer was balanced but confirming that nothing helped. Most expensive washing machine ever and shortest life apparently.

I paid over $600.00 for a new maytag washing machine two years ago. It quit working a few days ago and the man said itll cost over $400.00 to fix it. Why do you people build this type of junk? We purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer from The Home Depot in September of 2017. We did not purchase the extended warranty because of our confidence in the brand. Within less than a year, both appliances started making noises. By September of 2018, the washer sounded like it had a bag of mice squeaking inside every time we ran a load and had stopped spinning entirely. I called and spoke to a very kind lady who assured me that even if we were outside the one year manufacturers warranty, they would offer us the extended warranty without question because it was so close to the one year purchase. She took my credit card, we were charged for a five year plan and service was scheduled. After service, both units were still louder than I would prefer but the technician said it was common. Over the last few months, both have become louder and louder. Now the dryer shuts off and wont stay on. When I called back to schedule service again, the date of our purchase was all of a sudden in question. (I applied for the contract over the phone so THEIR rep entered the purchase date.) They are now telling us they will only honor the cost of parts and we are subject to pay for diagnostics and labor (which is the largest cost of repair). They are telling us our contract has to be cancelled and AFTER we receive and PAY FOR all but the parts, we can call and pay for a NEW contract. This has been the WORST appliance purchase we have EVER made and we have lost all confidence in the quality of Maytag/Whirlpool appliances. Both units have been VERY disappointing and we spent over $700 on each unit. NEVER AGAIN.

The worst wash machine Ive ever used. It doesnt clean clothes well. It constantly had error codes. Im constantly having to unplug and reset the machine and 4 times out of five it will NOT restart. Not to mention it stinks worse than my sewer. I have to run the refresh cycle every four to eight loads. Ive owned this machine three years. And it has been three years too long. I will go back to a ringer washer or a wash board and have better results.

1. can not get enough water in the Maytag machine to cover the clothes. 2. All of the clothes come out twisted. 3. After watching the machine wash the clothes I notice that agitator did not move all of the clothes down into the water, and that was probably because there was not enough water in the tub. 4. The machine gets out of balance easily and at that time the machine door is locked and you need to push the pause button and wait for it to unlock the door. 5. Its louder than my old Kenmore washer that we have had for 15 years.6. The Maytag dryer does not dry as fast as my old Kenmore dryer that we have had for 15 years.Bottom line is I would not buy another Maytag product. Do your homework.

The fridge has a grinding noise that is getting worse, by the day. I cannot seem to define the exact location of problem, whether the freezer or the fridge. Maytag you stink, and your web site stinks, too.

I purchased Maytag Washer and Dryer 3-4 years ago, upgraded to the premium washer and dryer, SS drums and have been dissatisfied from the start. The washer was extremely noisy; we were told this was normal. The dryer began making strange noises just outside the warranty period, and the belt and pulley had to be replaced. I was shocked at the cheapness of the pulley design, but the replacement part was of better quality. The washer began making a horrendous squeak shortly afterwards, again, outside the warranty period. The repairman said that they were all like that, Maytag used inferior transmissions and that it would be cheaper to replace the washer than repairing it. My mother had the same experience with a similar model. Needless to say, I will never purchase another Maytag product. FYI, there are only three people in our household, all adults, light duty use.

I would never buy a Maytag dryer again. It has been serviced 3x since purchasing in 2010.

This dishwasher has an electronic control panel that is faulty. Within one year of purchase, the control panel shorted out. It was replaced under warranty. Almost exactly a year after that, the same part failed for the same reason. This time, Maytag refused to replace it for free since it was out of warranty. A new control panel would have cost over $250. Disappointed with this Maytag product and their refusal to replace an obviously defective part, I decided to buy a new dishwasher from another manufacturer. Also, it did not make sense to me to spend that kind of money to replace a part that would continue breaking every year. AVOID Maytag dishwashers with electronic control panels!

We purchased a Maytag Refrigerator-Freezer from Home Depot, in July, 2014. The first two months we had this appliance, it would not make ice (we purchased one that had an ice maker it the freezer!). After numerous calls to Home Depot and about 7 service visits, the service company gave up trying to get the ice maker to work, and instructed Home Depot to give us a replacement refrigerator. The new one came with an ice maker that works some better, but still very slow in making ice, and the new refrig makes a grinding noise every time we open the door. The Maytag Company, whose service people never have anything to do, say this is a cosmetic problem, and they refuse to fix it.Have been in consultation with Whirlpool Company (who bought out Maytag I assume), trying to get the appliance repaired... or at least put an end to the grinding noise. We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator freezer, and have had nothing but trouble and issues with it. If you are thinking about buying a Maytag refrigerator -- Dont!!

I purchased an LG (white) washer last year, but my husband upgraded all appliances to stainless, including Maytag washer and dryer. The washer does not fill with enough water to cover the clothes. It barely agitates them to wash. Some clothes even come out with dry spots on them at times! They smell and are still dirty when done. I have tried every setting hoping that was the issue. Normal, power wash, none work any better! Had to resort to the soak function which does not add fabric softener or drain the water completely. Thankfully I didnt sell or get rid of the LG. Putting the LG back in asap. Nevermind the mixed color finishes of white and stainless between the washer and dryer. Clean clothes most important! Piece of garbage and complete rip off!

Every day you hear a hissing noise and water leaks in from the vents and freezes. This builds up and water leaks on the floor. You have to chip the ice out or end up slipping and falling. This happened to me - Maytag was no help. Time for a lawsuit.

I love this washer. You can fill all the way or energy setting but either way it does the job. I paid 1200 for a Whirlpool. it was broken within 6 moand couldnt get service repair. With the Maytag it was on sale for 550 cash. It stop spinning. I called for service. They were there in 2 days on time and 20 minutes it was working. It was a needle stopped it. Just reprogrammed and wa-lah!

Side by side refrigerator model #msd255oveu01. I bought this refrigerator Apr. 2011... The 1st year, the ice kept sticking in machine or freezing up. Now they have had to replace the modules 3 times. Once fall of 2012 and and again yesterday, 3/19/14 and they had to come back today to replace that one. I have called Maytag and they wont stand behind it since the warranty is over. I have told them that this is an ongoing thing with the ice maker and I have had to have it serviced ever since I have bought it. I told them from the git go that the ice maker needed replace. The ice dispenser also drops an ice cube on the floor on occasion and if I use crushed ice it jams up. This product is defective and is not a good product.

I bought the Maytag washer and it lasted 5 1/2 months. I am now going on 1 month without the washer because no one wants to take responsibility for it. Your warranty and service is crap. I will never buy another Maytag product and I will be sure and let anyone that I know that is about to purchase one not to!

So far we have replaced the belt. Clothes have never come out clean. High Efficiency... Yeah, we have to put it on extra rinse to rinse all the soap out or wash twice because the clothes just do not get clean. Now it stops right before it drains after the wash. So I had to pull out clothes and use pitchers to get water out before we could tip forward and pull hoses to drain the rest. We checked hoses and connections. All lights work, it did a wash cycle, and again stopped before the drain. Really. All I got was “Didnt you take out the extended warranty?” Well, No I did not. Why would I consider the fact that MAYTAG would need repairs within the first 3 years. Its not like I do a lot of wash. Or have big bulky items. I have a laundry mat close by for that stuff, because it wouldnt get it clean anyway. Never again…

I bought my Maytag Model LA608 washer in 1976. It has very few electronics and a mechanical timer. It has been used every week since then for 2 or 3 people. It has had 3 problems in its lifetime. I replaced the 2 valves that control the hot and cold water entering the machine. I replaced a small plastic sprayer part. And last year I replaced 3 clamps that rusted and started to leak. Thats it in 40 years. I was able to open up the front and back covers to get at the parts quite easily.It is a simple machine with almost no electronics to stop working. Nothing bothers me about the machine. Its simple and wonderful. When it finally breaks, I will try and find a good sized machine that washes permanent press and regular clothes, has a controller to select hot/cold/warm water temperatures, has a regular and gentle cycle, and has 3 load levels for the water to be used. I will try to find one that is good quality with few electronic parts. I will not buy a high efficiency model that uses less water as I am on a well and water shortage is not a problem where I live. I will not buy a front loading model.I would not buy a machine that has options that I do not need. I would hope to find a quality machine similar to what I have now. I would read as many ratings about the various models before making a selection and then I would cross my fingers and hope for the best. If it is possible, try and find a good quality machine that will be dependable over time. Buy a basic machine with only the options that you really need. There will be fewer parts to stop working.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator bottom freezer at Home Depot in 2012/10/15. A few months ago, a sheet of ice formed on the bottom of the freezer. Since the warranty expired, I decided to look at the problem. Now, I am a mechanical person who usually can fix just about anything mechanical. I used a hair dryer to defrost the freezer and saw that the drainage hole was frozen over. I took the entire freezer apart, cleaned the drainage channel, the drainage hole and reassembled the freezer. No more than 24 hours later, the drainage hole was covered with 1/4-1/3 thick ice, the drainage hose and the tray were dry, and the bottom of the freezer was coated with ice. This one problem that I could not solve. The design is so poor, the draining water freezes over the hole before it drains. I read some of the consumers complaints and I just want to add that do NOT waste your money on repairmen, or parts from Maytag, the refrigerator is NOT repairable. I will write off my loss of $900 and look for a new refrigerator, but Maytag will never see my money again.

We purchased our Maytag washer about four years ago. I love the features, but occasionally we have clothes rip in the machine. We have had it serviced only once for maintenance. It is great with the large capacity. I can wash bedding including quilts and sheets in one wash. Makes laundry day a breeze for a large family!

Washer water level sucks low at max levels kept freezing. Bought mtw7230. Its junk agitator doesnt rub good. Not like dual action agitator and when I start cycle says 34 min but I timed it takes one hour. Same goes to 1:30 to 2 hours takes 10 min for water to pour in spins for nothing. I sent it back. 965 I paid.

If I can rate the AquaLift Technology oven cleaning system that my Maytag oven has as a “Zero”, I would. This technology only removes some of the spills on the bottom of the oven. It does not clean the sides or top of the oven. I’m back to the olden days of using a lot of elbow grease to remove splatters and spills. They say you cannot use any cleaners in the oven either. At least with the old ovens you can spray an oven cleaner and wipe it clean. This product has taken us back before there were spray oven cleaners!

Maytag Bravos quiet series 300 - We have had this washing machine for approx. 2 years and there is rust marking around the opening of the spout where the bleach is poured into. We also find that we have to do the clean cycle quite often. And it bounces and make a loud noise if there is not enough clothing in it… even on the bulky cycle. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE! And we have been loyal purchasers for 40 plus years!

My Maytag 3000 series washer had to be worked on right after we purchased it. Now it stinks and is leaking. Repairs are going to be over 300 dollars. A part wore out. It should have lasted longer and why does the front loading washer stink. There is no door to open to clean the filter.

We purchased our home in late 2010 and was excited about our HE front-load washer (and dryer). Immediately, we noticed mold on the rubber boot, and the smell was horrible. We ran the washer with Affresh several times and left the door to open when not in use, and that seemed to help. Then most recently, the washers been shutting off mid-cycle through normal wash setting. I used to pound the washer out of frustration, and that seemed to get the machine working, but now it doesnt work at all. We had a repairman come out, and he charged us $94 to basically remove debris from the drain hose, and he told us that if the washer fails again, wed be looking at an expensive repair cost pertaining to the central control unit. We had a second repairman come out and replace the central control unit. It worked while he was here, but now its messing up again, shutting down mid-cycle. I have to unplug the washer for hours, replug, put it on rapid wash cycle (and hope it doesnt fail), and if it fails, then unplug, wait, put it on spin cycle... Its aggravating, and were looking at $300 to $400 in repair costs. Our repair man says front loaders are a nightmare (and he still has his non-HE washer from the 80s, and its still working). Our washer is Maytag Epic Z, model number MHWZ600TE00. Avoid front loaders, and definitely Maytag or Whirlpool front loaders. Well need to shop around for a new washer, an old-fashioned top loader this time.

I bought Maytag Bravo washer and dryer set in Nov 2012. Washer door lock broke shortly after 1 yr and now the gearbox has broken. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG BRAVO WASHER. The cost to fix is more than the value. Before the gearbox death the sound it made while spinning was so loud you could not hear the TV or have a conversation in the west end of the house. Visitors were stunned at the noise it made. I called Maytag warranty and explained I am having the same issues as everyone else, what are you going to do? The answer was nothing. Please read the other reviews, same issues. It never cleaned clothes anyway, bad design, bad company and bad corporate values. Model number MVWX700XLE.

This has been the worst washing machine I have ever owned!!! Purchased 3 years ago and this is the 3rd time the bearings dont work again. It make loud clanking noises. Then fails to spin at all. The first time it broke was the 1st year we owned it. It is sitting in our hallway and I can hardly wait for it to leave my house. Talked to the local appliance dealer and they never recommends these washers. I told dealer I must have gotten a lemon. He replied that it wasnt a lemon, that the machine tubs have gotten so much bigger and they have needed to upgrade the bearing system and are unwilling to do it. Dealer has highly recommended the Speed Queen. Based on the stellar reviews that is what will be coming to our house today. I can hardly wait. I know, its just a washing machine but frustration has overcome me. The Speed Queen has no plastic parts. We went with the knob style as opposed to the electronic push buttons. Less to go wrong. The warranty on the Speed Queen is top of the line, 5-year parts and labor. The salesperson didnt even try to sell me a warranty. No need to. Speed Queen stands by their product. I only recommend the Maytag Bravo XL if you dont have enough stress in your life.

My Maytag dishwasher MDB780AWW2 was recalled due to electrical problems. They gave me a voucher to purchase another one, plus I had to pay another installation fee. New unit was installed in February 2011, and here I am with a control panel issue. Seems like a similar problem, too. The lights light up, but the dishwasher wont start. Its another $345.00 plus tax repair by a repairman.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in January 2009. We did not begin using it until perhaps March of 2009, so just over 2 years ago. It gets ran maybe 1 to 2 times per week. I went to turn it on a day ago and the right side of the control panel, where you press the start button, does not work. When I checked Maytags website, I discovered there was a recall due to the heating element. So, I had the repair technician out and he told me that the control panel was bad and it would cost $300 for parts and labor to repair. We paid $600 for this dishwasher. Of course, we have the option of purchasing a new dishwasher and receive a rebate but that ends up being more than just ordering parts and replacing them ourselves, but something only 2 years old should not break. From reading all the other complaints on this forum, I am surprised that Maytag has not done something about the control panel and the humidity issue which seems to cause the control panel to go out. This is an expensive fix which Maytag needs to address. Come on Maytag!

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer, the Neptune series and thought I was getting a top of the line, but now the dryer has quit working and the repairman said it is not worth fixing and it is only about 5 years old. So that is what I am so angry about.

Bravos XL was costly. Mistake! I owned my first Maytag for 20 plus years. The sticker shock of buying a new Maytag 4 years ago was pushed aside knowing how long my previous model lasted. The salesperson at Lowes closed the deal with his explanation of an improved gear driven system vs the old belt and pulley version. Oh how wrong! I too have the jet plane from hell landing in my home for over 2 years now everytime the spin cycle engages. This is a two person family and it failed at 2 years?!?!?As for water conservation... if I dont include the additional rinse cycle, my clothes dont get clean. Watched the YouTube on how to repair this unit... but what guarantee do I have that it wont go back to the same problem in another year? Cant afford another big investment like this now that I am retired, so I will run this baby until it seizes up. Dont wash clothes if company is coming or if you want to enjoy evening TV programs. Not sure why this unit hasnt been recalled based on all the complaints I have read on this site?? Worst decision I ever made! I bet the Maytag Repairman is spinning in his grave!

I have the same complaint as everyone else. I have had my dishwasher since April 2013. Less than 9 months after having it the control panel went out and they came and replaced it. Now June 2015, 2 years and 2 months after purchasing and a year and a half after the control panel was replaced, none of the buttons work except the cancel button. How is it that these machines, as expensive as they are, crap out after 2 years! Such a waste on money!! Maytag has lost my business forever!!

The engineers at Maytag saved a few pennies by only using one thermistor for temperature control. It is in the box. There is nothing monitoring the temperature in the freezer. If you put your fridge in the garage where the temp is 40 degrees, the motor will never come on, and your frozen foods will melt! In my new MRT118FFFZ01 unit, the temperature in the box varies by plus or minus 3 degrees F, but the freezer varies from minus1 1 to plus 25 degrees F. 36 degrees difference! Lousy design. Have had two service calls, and they both said that this was the way it was designed and there is no fix for it.

Bought this (Maytag Washer MVWB955FC1) on 1/8/18, was delivered late in January as it was on back-order. On 4/30/18, during a cycle, the washer made a pop sound. There was glass everywhere. The glass had shattered and exploded onto the floor and washer. The glass is on the inside of the drum and all over the clothes. Contacted Maytag and they sent out a repairman the next day. Repair said there is a point of impact indicated I dropped something on it. NOTHING was dropped on it. There is a point of impact, from the inside. The glass is pushed up and out indicating pressure from INSIDE the washer.Repairman says its not covered under warranty and that I had to pay for his time as well. He also said there are no known issues with this lid and washer. The lid is out of stock and wont be available for a while. I called Maytag and they gave me the same response, never heard of this.. and lid is out of stock. I found SEVERAL reviews/complaints in which, for the exact same model, this has happened to other people. This glass lid is dangerous and poses a serious safety risk to households that contain it. If they replace the lid, there is no guarantee this will not happen again. A child could walk by the washer and at any moment the glass lid could explode, send tiny shards of glass everywhere. I want a refund for this dangerous washer.

Got woken up to the sound of my refrigerator ice lid flapping. Boy is it loud! Called Maytag and found out it was a recall so they will fix. They set up for someone to come out to fix the following week. That was a flop because they did not have the part. I waited 4 hours for someone to show to find out that Maytag scheduled the appointment for nothing - not only did they NOT have the part but they did not have a clue as to when it will come in. Time is valuable! Here we are 5 weeks later and my refrigerator is still flapping and loud. Has been calling Maytag for them to say that the part has been expedited. Well it has been expedited for more than 3 weeks now! Today they say that it will be another month before the part comes in! Not Good! This is such an inconvenience and Ive lost a lot of sleep over this flapping noise. Its an embarrassment when guests come over to our home! Tired of it!

Ice builds bottom of freezer then leaks onto floor. Should be a recall.

I will never buy another Maytag product, and moreover, will tell everyone I possibly can, not to do so either. Like many others, I have a two-year-old dishwasher that needs a control board already, and from what Ive read this wont be the first time. It would cost $150 for the part, plus the service calls make it around a $350 experience. The only choice is to pull the machine out, or buy a 5-year warranty for another $318.56. Grand total for your marvelous high quality Maytag that lasts only 7 years? Around $1,000. I am so sad, the company used to symbolize quality but now when I see the logo, I think of landfills.

I purchased the Neptune HE pair because they are front loading and can be set on pedestals to raise them to a comfortable working height, plus the brand and reputation are both excellent. I like that the chimes can be adjusted from low to high, or turned off. The front loading washers clean so much better and with a lot less damage to items than washers with center agitators. Looks are secondary, thats for sure. Functions like warm/warm cycles and being able to adjust to whatever load needs to be washed is really most important to me. Any appliances with a good, proven track record of reliability with few repairs is high on my list. Expensive appliances should be made to last and be of durable quality! No cheap plastic or weak-looking welds or components, thank you! Quiet operation and dependable cleaning and drying are top in my book, and this pair has exceeded even my picky expectations in total overall performance. They are 11 years old now and look & function like new! I had one minor repair on the washer at 5 years, and not a single problem since. With front loading washers, its important to keep the door open a little when not in use so that they dont get a musky smell. Ive gotten into the habit of using laundry boosters to help clothes, sheets, and towels smelling fresh longer, and putting a small amount in the washer drum has kept my whole laundry room smelling nice. Purchasing the pedestal drawers to set the washer and dryer on added extra storage to my laundry and its much easier for me to load/unload them at this comfortable height. Im totally spoiled by it now, so when I use someone elses laundry room (when I visit) I am reminded how nice my own setup is.

The microwave does everything I need and want it to do perfectly. It has never needed to be repaired or replaced in five years. We bought it on sale from Best Buy and consider it one of the best bargains we have ever made. Easy to operate, easy to clean, sleek and, for an appliance, quite personable. I find it refreshing to say something nice about an inanimate object.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer at Lowe's when I bought my home-the price was great and I have not been disappointed in them-have had them over 3 years now. My washer has a stainless steel tup and is a top loader. The combo of the two was less than $1,000. The washing machine has deep clean, heavy load or light load, hot, warm or cool water settings, a hand wash setting and many other features that I think most consumers can appreciate.

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased a Maytag brand washer and dryer set. So far, we are thrilled with our purchase. We got front load units that have an XL barrel so we can use it to wash comforters and larger loads. I have washed many loads and so far, havent noticed a longer time to wash or any issues. I love the fact that my clothes are all getting equally as clean and I can be sure that my items will not be torn or ripped in the process. I would recommend this product to anyone.

The dishwasher is very stylish and looks great in our kitchen. I do wish there was a small knife drawer in top. It cleans very well and is super quiet. I would highly recommend this dishwasher, good value.

Ive had other dishwashers over the years. Ive had this Maytag now for almost 12 years and never had a problem with it. It cleans better than any others Ive owned. HIGHLY recommend the Maytag.

Bought brand new. No deal, not on sale, not a return. Just heres money... give me working washer. This thing doesnt wash anything. It leaves soap all over the clothes. When you turn it on and wait til it starts washing, look in there with the lid open... theres barely any water! The clothes on top stay dry! The only way to wash your clothes in it is to add three-3 gallon buckets of water at the start of each STAGE of EACH cycle! My wife showed me after three months of washing clothes like this. Anyway, to the garbage with this and back to Whirlpool basics with me.

JADE model RJRS4270. Had this model for 10 years with more than 10 service calls. Always breaking down and Whirlpool will not honor the warranty. Paid for an extended warranty service to Maytag/Whirlpool offered by the manufacturer. When unit broke Whirlpools warranty service provider Assurance said Whirlpool no longer provides the parts needed, sorry can’t honor the extended warranty you had paid for, no parts, and no refund. The evaporator drip tray had been replaced three times. Asked to have the unit replaced. Whirlpool was absolutely disrespectful and only offered me to the option to buy another discounted $8K unit for a with ~ $2K discount.So far approx. $6K unit + approx. $1K extended warranty (not honored) + approx. $1K parts and service out of my pocket (Whirlpool continued to tell me it was not warranted). Although the operator’s manual said it was covered. While under warranty Whirlpool doesnt have replacement parts to service it. Multiple service tech are telling me there are many known issues with this unit. Found out there’s class action law for the same issues Im experiencing. Whirlpool only offered a new unit at approx. $6K. So total for me to date if I choose to take the discounted unit would be $12K. Dont buy this unless you have a good lawyer. Hardly seems reasonable. Jade Specialty Department. Customer support call back - Jared, no warranty, sorry. Explained contract to him. Nope/Nada. Customer support transfer - Jan, yes was warranted. Asked to speak to manager/sup. Said if you won’t honor warranty then please provide replacement. Transfer to Mike said we must schedule service through Whirlpool to fix contradicts. We asked for reference number to track. Mike said they don’t use reference numbers (contradicts Jared from when he asked me for a reference number). Two days no call from Whirlpool. Customer support call back 4/7/16 - Kari, offered small discount for equivalent new or refurbished unit $5,739 for Model KBSN602ESS. Said although under warranty, Whirlpool may not be able to provide parts to repair unit, but they will sell me an equivalent unit.

I purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door model the middle of 2006. While cleaning the French doors with the cleaning product given to me with the purchase of the new fridge, I notice what looked like coffee on the doors. It wasnt, it was rust on the stainless steel doors. I called the service tech and they came out. Rubbing the fridge, he told me it wasnt rust. He took a closer look and found that it was in fact rust. He called his office; they told him that rusting on the doors has been an issue lately. He charged me $65.00 for what I already knew. I called Maytag and it took a while, but they decided to send new doors. However, I had to have a Maytag rep install it, which would cost me. I didnt have it done. Two years later in 2010, the French doors felt hot to the touch and the inside was warm and not cooling. The freezer was fine. I called for a tech to come out and it’s another $65.00 to fix a fan motor that blows cool air from the bottom to the top. Oh, it’s not under warranty because it wasnt inside with the motor. Total cost: $235.00. In 2010, I woke up and opened the fridge to get milk out. It was warm and so was the inside of the fridge. I thought it was the same problem, but the freezer also was warm. Upset and not wanting to pay for this again, I unplugged the thing and started using a little fridge that I have stored in the basement. It has no freezer. Today, I finally got over being pissed and decided that I would have a tech come out and find out and finally fix it. The tech said that the compressor has failed and it would cost $790.00 to fix. Im not having it fixed, so it’s another $65.00 gone. The tech said that the compressor in Maytags/Whirlpools has been a pretty big issue lately. All I can say is that I will not ever purchase Whirlpool products again. From inside to the outside, this product has been unsatisfactory. I just noticed that the rubber is failing on one of the French doors. Wake up, Whirlpool. Model number is MFD2561HES.

18 months old washer breakdown #6 - I purchased a new out of the box washer from Aarons model #MVWC7ESWWO and since Ive owned it, it has broken down repeatedly with the same problem - a water inlet valve. As a child seeing the commercial with the repairman with nothing to fix played a part in my purchase, I couldnt be more unhappy. With a family of five, there is laundry and not having a reliable washer does present a problem. I sent you this while waiting for the part to arrive from Sears. Sincerely, an unsatisfied customer.

I purchase my Maytag Side by Side Refrigerator back in 2006 New. I purchase a Maytag based on the supposedly quality of their Products. And I have stove, and dishwasher as well. A week ago, after purchasing groceries, and made it home. The Refrigerator had gone out. I tried calling Maytag without success and broke down and called sears repair to come out. Well they made it today, and I was informed the Compressor had gone out, and would cost me $998.00 to repair. Of course I told him to get out of my home, because at that price I could purchase a new one. And you can bet it want be a Maytag ever again. I am so disappointed in their claims of being the best. My husband bought a washing machine in August 2019 and now it broke down a month ago. There is a sticker on it that the warranty is 10 years, but this warranty is for the motor and not for everything else. I read on the Internet what kind of error the machine gives me, it turned out to be either the motherboard or the front panel. I did not order the parts myself, called the service, in 5 minutes I had to pay 130 $ to he told me the same thing that I read in Google.... And he said that the repair would cost another 500$ part - 250$ and service fees to replace the front panel or the motherboard. Its ridiculous prices, so I find parts lil cheaper and ordered the motherboard myself, my husband installed it (there is nothing hard to do it) and the machine still gave the same error, I ordered the front panel for 220$ and the machine still gives the same error. Now front panel didnt respond at all, and this brand new panel... So I bet after I will pay to service they will tells me there is something else broken... Maytag??? NEVER AGAIN!So I send all part to the store, save money this way and now I buying a new one, when a year and a half ago I spent 1000$ on Maytag and the service is trying to rob me at the cost of a new machine, and no one gives me a guarantee after the service, I will not have a new one. The way out is possible to read more reviews and take a protective plan for 5 or more years so this is not your problem.

Everything in my house is Maytag. I assumed they were the best. My dishwasher went out after three years, and I replaced it with a Maytag. Now, my over the range microwave is not working. I will not replace it with Maytag. I expect my washer and dryer to be next.

We have a model MF12269VEMS. Approx 3 years old. Ice maker and water dispenser work great. Fridge works well. We have experienced over the last 6 months a buildup of ice that forms inside the freezer under the drawers. If we dont catch it every 4-5 days we cannot open the drawers as the ice catches the bottom plastic drawers. I called Maytag directly and the pleasant young lady told me after checking that it did not seem to be an issue...clearly after looking into the internet I am not alone! Maybe someone can email me a fix?

Front load washer. When load is done. Removing is one long string of clothes... Is a large load washer which I like. But you cannot add any items after you close the door. And you always forget something that needs washing.

My husband and I purchased a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set back in early 2005. It was our very first major appliance purchase together as a young couple. We were talked into going with the Neptunes as it was considered one of the high end models at the time, and it came with a 10-year manufacturers warranty, which by itself was a major selling point for us. We have now had our Neptunes for a full decade and I am happy to report that we have not had one single problem with either the washer or dryer the entire time we have owned them. In fact, they are still going strong to this day. However, as it has been 10 years, it is now time for us to upgrade. We have purchased all new kitchen appliances within the past year and we decided that its now time to upgrade our washer and dryer as well and go with a steam set. We will most likely end up selling our Neptunes since we will have no use for them once we get our new set. They have served us extremely well over the last 10 years and we wouldnt hesitate to buy Maytag appliances in the future.

We purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. The thermostat control (a circuit board made in China) broke and was replaced in 2012 by a certified repair person. He reminded me to dust underneath regularly, which Ive done. A couple of weeks ago I noticed some darkening of my wood floor to the left of the refrigerator and so I pulled it out from the wall a bit. What I saw was that my entire floor was wet and falling apart under the left side and when I looked into the freezer, I pulled out the bottom basket and the bottom was covered in about an inch of ice.I called, posted on Facebook and was put on hold several times for as long as 20 minutes before I hung up. I called Home Depot and asked them to intervene and speak to a rep from Maytag. I have heard nothing. There is black mold in the corner of my kitchen and a soaked floor that may go way beyond. I googled the leak and apparently this is very common with Maytag French Door refrigerators. I have a meeting with an attorney. Getting through to Maytag is seemingly impossible unless you have hours to wait on the phone. We have been getting sick for months and not knowing the cause.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. Hopefully you are doing your homework and will not make the same mistake we did!!!! Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

French Door Maytag MFI2569VEW10 faulty in many ways. We bought our refrigerator 7 years ago. After 2 years the freezer door handle fell off; after 4 years the right front door gasket began to tear (normal usage); after 7 years, it no longer dispenses ice or water. We now have mildew/mold growing around the edges of the door because there is no longer a good seal. Constant cleaning. Additionally, we are spending more $ to keep the refrigerator at the proper temperature because the seal is broken. To repair these items is almost $700 including shipping and tax. This does not include the cost of labor. So after 7 short years, we have a hunk of junk that does not work properly. I am shocked that Maytag sells such an inferior product and we are left holding the bag. Do not buy Maytag. Additionally, our Maytag microwave broke after 5 years. DO NOT BUY!!! Buyer beware!

I purchase a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot on 12/31/11. Based on the their commercials, I thought they were dependable. I did purchase an extended warranty, as I always do with any new appliance. After 2 years, the dishwasher stop working. I contact Home Depot and the extended warranty and was told to contact the manufacturer. Maytag blamed the extended warranty for the problem. They told me they could not help me. And could not help me. I will never ever buy any appliances from Maytag again. This model is M936/110V cord.

First off, everyone seeing this should be fuming as I am because we are mostly in the same boat with these control panel issues. Mine is Maytag model MDB7749SBM3 about 575.00. A little bit cheaper than most of you because I purchased at the online and had a rebate. About a couple months after the warranty expired, we started having weird light issues with the control panel where are one light would pop up when you didnt hit it or other lights would pop up when you hit something else. We kept dealing with it thinking that it would dry out and resolve itself. Lo and behold, just like it appears to be tens of thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands of machines, it quit. I read this consumer affairs post after it quit and now I know why it did. I opened up the control panel and sure enough, the little ribbon that connects all the electrical connections had brown on the back like it was burnt through. I was able to find a special 1 800 number that Whirlpool has set up because they have purchased Maytag and the woman I spoke with said they would send a technician out and that I was responsible for the diagnostic fee. I was born but it wasnt yesterday. I immediately said to the woman, Absolutely unacceptable. I am NOT paying for anything, very politely highlighting the fact that I know they settled a class action lawsuit in California regarding a control panel issue and there are hundreds maybe thousands of complaints on consumer affairs.com. The woman place me on hold, I am assuming to speak with her supervisor and then let me know that they would pay for the diagnostic fee. She said a repair date for me for about a week and a half later. The repairman had a good day because the dishwasher was already disassembled for him and he proceeded to take pictures and call Maytag. Maytag told him that I was responsible for the installation cost and service fee which according to the technician is about a hundred bucks. I told the technician that is fine but it will not be fine when I call Maytag back. I have not spoken to Maytag about the hundred dollars needs to file a claim for a new dishwasher and associated damages. I have not spoken to Maytag about the hundred dollars but I am only on this to let you know that every single one of us needs to file a claim for a new dishwasher in associated damages in small claims court. I plan on filing a claim for approximately $700 for a new dishwasher and damages. In my opinion, I feel like we should all do this, otherwise big corporations like this will continue to shovel garbage into the stores left and right.Have a good day and good luck with your court case hopefully. Bravos XL Washer and Dryer (Maytag) is the worst appliance set ever. Not enough water in the bin, residue despite using the correct detergent, and clothes which do not even get fully wet during the wash cycle. I am so sorry I purchased this pair - I do like the heavy duty spin, and the dryer does dry (but the door clasp has somehow come loose and stopped working - has to be wiggled into place every time I close the door). The really frustrating part is the low water levels (and even bulky is less than a half a bin of water. I am attaching a photo with two sets of sheets, a towel and three wash cloths). Most cycles only put about two inches of water in the bin - appalling. And the long long long cycles - what is energy-saving about having to do a load twice and using more than an hour for one cycle? I wish I could adjust the water levels. Seriously disappointed in this duo. Sorry I wasted my hard-earned money on it. I was seduced by a pretty exterior.

I purchased a front load washer over 2 year ago and the bearing on it has gone bad. Maytag jumped at offering to ship the parts to me at no cost (which at the time I thought was great). I waited 3 months to finally get the part, because it was on back order, and now was just hit with the labor bill! If I would have known a brand new washer was going to go bad after 2 years and cost me over $500 to repair, I would have gone with another brand, In fact, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool. I will ensure that I tell everyone and post comments all over the website about how ** of a product Maytag/Whirlpool produces. Companies like these give the U.S. a bad name! Maytag, you suck!

This product has been a huge disappointment, from day one. It wrinkles and tears clothes beyond recognition. When I called Maytag to complain, they tried to up sell me a service contact. I explained that it works fine, as a shredder, but it is just a bad design and asked if Maytag had any recalls. He then told me if I purchase the service agreement and they cant fix it then they will refund the $$... ITS NOT BROKEN. It was crap when we got it home. Shame on me for not taking it right back to Best Buy. Someone needs to start a CLASS ACTION SUIT. I am sure they have duped many people into buying this shredding machine...

Oh my god, I feel your pain, folks. My mother is sick in the hospital while I try to maintain my house with this totally POS refrigerator!! 3 defrost cycles to remove ice and now the service guy tells me that compressor is shot, 6 week back order for parts!!! Just two years old!!! Also had the same water overflow issue to boot 1 year after getting it. Maytag (whirlpool)- youre killing me!!!!

My Maytag model MDB7749AWWI was purchased from Home Depot on March 10, 2011. On July 12, 2012, my dishwasher would not start. I had out of town guests and then the repair person was out of town, so I did not get anyone out to look at it until July 31. He stated that we had bad controls. The parts would be approximately $420.61. He could not get any parts because everyone was out of this part. Does that mean that all the dishwashers of this model number are broken? Is there a recall? This is unreal. When I was asked if I wanted extended warranty, I said no. If I needed an extended warranty, the equipment must be junk. Well, I needed the extended warranty. It is junk! I will never, never, never purchase another Maytag appliance as long as I live!

Thats right. We bought it in September 2010, and it worked fine for two years. This week, our Maytag (Model: MDB7609AWW2) simply stopped turning on. The appliance repair guy pointed out that Maytag has a horrible record which the new owners (Whirlpool) do not seem to be concerned with because even though they know these electronics are dying very quickly, the replacement parts are exactly the same (unchanged). The cost to replace the suspected failed parts is somewhere around $250. The repair guy just said, I can do it, but its going to break again. His suggestion is to shop for the cheapest dishwasher out there since even the most expensive ones fail so quickly. This particular model has a huge amount of the same complaints.

I positively HATE the new BravosXL Maytag washer, which has no decent agitator. It is ruining my clothes, as it spins with little water and leaves soap residue all over the clothes. Additionally it puts large, long wrinkles in my knits, especially disfiguring slacks. Maytag must have known how rough and ruinous this washer was on knits BEFORE selling it to an unsuspecting public! I want my money back in order to purchase an old-style, well-functioning agitator washing machine.A class-action suit should be brought against Maytag. There was no way to know before buying and using that this machine is horrible!!!

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

The Maytag Washer Model # MVWB835DW is the worst I have EVER had!! I have 6 kids, my husband and myself who I do laundry for and this was supposed to be a XL washer so I can do large loads! It does not do anything to stains and all my clothes come out with clumps of powder and if I use liquid it leaves greasy residue on them! Everyone in our home has had rashes from the washing powder not getting rinsed out and my husband who gets grease and oil on his clothes has all stained clothing because of this washer that does NOT clean anything! I used to be able to get every single grease and oil stain out until I purchased this washer! My 9 yr old now has a scalded skin from the washing powder not getting rinsed no matter how much I use!! I even tried using vinegar to make it dissolve and it does not help! No matter what we do it does not fill up nor wash the clothing properly!! This washer needs to be discontinued immediately and anyone who has it have the option of exchanging it with a better washer! It is absolutely ridiculous that they know this washer does this yet keep selling it!

We owned Whirlpool front load prior to the Maytag set we now own. Our Whirlpool was the better one. Shorter wash cycle, better cleaning & never had a problem with the seal. Maytag dryer doesnt signal properly when laundry is dry. You have to go multiple times. I wont purchase another Maytag set. We owned a Maytag top loader set and they worked like they should have.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher less than a year ago and are very disappointed with the poorly designed quality of this product. We had a Maytag repairman look at our dishwasher and he told us that; the dishwasher cleans with enzymes in the dishwasher not water pressure, and we need to make sure the water in the kitchen faucet need to be hot before starting the dishwasher, we also need detergent, rinse aid, and citric acid added to each load. Adding all these products to the dishwasher does not fix a poorly designed product. This product does not clean the dishes, even with rinse aid the glasses come out cloudy. The dishwasher has a power blast button, it does not clean the dishes any better than the regular setting and it runs for four hours. We will never buy another Maytag product.

The Deli drawer randomly falls, shelves in general do not fit well. Rough edges on door corners are a hazard especially for children. Service call line was extremely poor with a total disregard to customer concerns. It has been a very bad decision!

I have had a few dishwashers in the past, however this is the worst product I have ever purchased. After a couple of years in service I needed a new control panel which cost $200.00. The dishwasher defaults to heated dry and the exhaust for the dishwasher is right behind the copper electrical runs so it corrodes and fries the runs. The way I see it Whirlpool and Maytag saw a unique way to gouge its customers for parts. They also have a rope and plastic cable system that attaches to the door spring that continues to break cost $28.00 a piece, I have replaced two. Now I see that one of the pulley guides (plastic) is broken and split cost??? Here is another brilliant engineering feat, the door panel clips into the control panel so that when the door is pulled in a normal fashion it comes loose. If you buy this line of dishwasher (p.o.s) plan to work on it and buy parts on a constant basis. Here is my advice: buy one control panel, two cable systems, and a couple of cable pulleys or buy a cheap dishwasher as a replacement and save some money. Run from Maytag or its parent company Whirlpool - let the buyer beware.

After having a Maytag washer/dryer set that lasted 20 years, I decided to go with Maytag again. Big mistake! Centennial Dryer has already broke down and the parts, before the overcharged shipping, was over $100. I wish I had done some research. Maytag is no longer Maytag, it was purchased by Whirlpool. Hence the lack of quality. Not only that, I dislike doing business with heartless companies that just close shop & let loyal employees go while paying upper management fat severance pay. Then Whirlpool changed the vested lifetime benefits of the Maytag retirees. Will not buy another Maytag appliance and will never purchase a Whirlpool product.

I was all too excited to FINALLY own a new set! I conducted research and read reviews. We decided on the Maytag Bravo XL set (Lowes) and was thrilled! For the first 6 months. They were both fantastic! 6 months later, several times the clothes washed were soaking wet as if they had been set on soak. It continuously alerted to clean after 3 loads. The dryer... Well, evidently, if you live in a high-humidity region, DO NOT HOOK TO THE WATER LINE FOR THE STEAM OPTION. It will soak your dry clothes! After 3 loads of drying, it fails to re-start for the 4th load for at least 12 hours! When paying over $1,590 for a new set, this should not be an issue. Mind you, I do laundry once a week - 5 to 7 loads including linen. Fortunately, we paid an additional $200 for the warranty at Lowes.Lets see what happens there!

My Maytag is 2 weeks old, and knew from the start I had a lemon. The compressor sounds like a giant freezer. I had the service man take a look at it, and while he was here the compressor did not come on. He pulled the plug from the fridge and turned it back on and still it did not turn on. I asked him to stay till it turned on and he said he could not stay any longer. I waited for him from 2 PM till 7:30 PM. He was to arrive between 3 and 6. Talk about frustration, and I only wish I had read all the reports before I bought this junker. I was so worried I decided to get the insurance for 4 years. The reason the ice forms is because you have no control over the ice. You cant see them and they get stuck. I had a side by side before this, and I can kick myself for not buying a side by side again. I was told to shut it it down when youve had enough ice cubes, to stop it from getting stuck. This ice maker is so big and so hard to pull out and the switch to turn it off is on the inside. So far my only complaint was the humming, but I can see a tough road ahead.

We had Maytag brand washer and dryers in the past. They worked for years and I was able to repair or replace switches and some parts on my own. The new Bravos XL is a very inferior machine, nothing but problems. The clothes have to be washed two or more times to make them clean. There is no agitator, so your clothes have only other clothes to scrub up against, and the spin cycle is just thumping and banging and thrashing around until you’re able to get in and rescue it from itself. Our older machines had tiny steel shot in the rim of the machine to keep it balanced. Don’t buy this machine ever!!!

I bought this stove thinking of the Maytag repair man commercial that was advertised on TV for washing machines. Apparently Maytag only knows how to make washing machines (I did not buy one of their washing machines after my experiments with their stove). From day one the oven door never closed right, the self cleaning oven device had to be replaced 3 times over the year after have a repairman tell me that they all fail. I stopped using the self cleaning feature. This stove has cost me so much in repairs. The cook top is very very hard to clean. It always looks dirty. All the plastic knobs have melted off because the oven door never closed right. And the knobs are crazy expensive to replace as is just about everything on this stove. The oven temperature can not be trusted never cooked at the temperature it was set at. I paid a lot of money for this stove 10 years ago. And I am finally able to replace it thanks to a Christmas present from my 3 children. I love to cook and this stove made it difficult. My advice is to look for a different company when buying a kitchen stove. This Maytag has been nothing but trouble for me.

I have owned my Maytag Neptune Washer since 1998 and this is the first time that it will not drain all the water... Doing some research before I call a repairman... Have a Great day!

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer so many years ago that I have forgotten when it was. They have performed admirably under trying conditions. Our washer finally needs replacing due to the buildup of scale from our very hard well water. This after about 30 years of good service. Looking to replace them and will probably buy another Maytag set when they go on sale.

Both my washer and dryer are Maytag. Dryer element shorted out but was still under warranty so was fixed. Washer is very loud and now makes a rattling sound. Every so often it will hang in the middle of a cycle and the lid wont open until I unplug it.

In August my GE refrigerator of 22 years bit the dust. Went to our local appliance center and purchased this unit for $2100. Have only had it a month and am so dissatisfied with the water dispenser, ice machine and doors, I want to return it. I cant wait for all the other things to go wrong with it. I dont know who the engineer was behind this but he needs to be fired. I really wish I had reviewed this refrigerator before purchasing it as I will never recommend Maytag again after reading all the bad reviews. The name Maytag used to mean something dependable and made well... Rant over.

My washing machine was noisy from the start. We had recently purchased a new fridge and were told when we questioned its noise thats just the way they are. So we didnt question the noisy washer as we should have. The noise got louder as time went on and at the 18 month mark, it was so bad, we had someone look at it. The washer had never cleaned as well as expected, but again, we were too busy to follow up. The repairman advised that the bearing and tub needed to be replaced! Augh! $450 for parts $300 for labour! I contacted Maytag/Whirlpool and was advised they would go good for the parts, I would have to pay labour. Not being terribly impressed, did a bit of research and was told it was worth fixing. As it was technically out of warranty, I was lucky to have them pay for parts. Took 6 weeks to get part. In that time, had questions about delay, etc... at one point was yelled at on the phone by Melissa from Whirlpool as I asked to speak to a supervisor. So fun :( First part comes and it is defective, luckily there was another one in Vancouver, so only an additional 4 day wait. My machine is now fixed. It is extremely quiet and cleans very well. Suffice to say, it was defective from the start. So, Ive gotten to pay an extra $300 over retail to have a working machine! Lucky me! Repairman also advised that he recommends everyone to purchase the additional 5 year warranty as the manufacturers are now only making machines with a 7 year life expectancy and I was VERY lucky in the beginning to get someone to even talk to me after the 1 year mark.

I have Control Panel issues with my Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher. I have saved myself hundreds of dollars! The problem occurs when oxidation or steam shorts out the ribbon on the control board. Simply shut off the power to your dishwasher. Open the 5 or 12 screws on the door. Open the black box where the Control Panel ribbon enters the Control Board, slide the white tension clasp away from ribbon and clean off ribbon using a paper towel. Re-insert ribbon and slide tensioner in place. Replace all parts and turn on power. Job done! I hope you have as much success as I did.

My Maytag Neptune washer also has a problem with mold build-up and now the door lock assembly is totally gone. I was unaware of the class action suit or I would have joined. I am just disappointed!

It washes extremely well. Its reliable. The wifey loves it and thats enough for me!!! I have had no major mechanical issues. Since 2012 we use it heavily and every other day. I would purchase same brand if need be but Im confident that would probably be in 2024.

Refrigerator (Model Mff2558vems) purchased end of November 2011. Early in 2013 notice refrigerator first forming ice all over freezer, including an ice sheet on bottom of freezer. Then noticed water around refrigerator. Called maytag and they sent repairman even though a little over year and out of warranty. Their service people seemed to know exactly what was causing the leak as they came in with the correct replacement part. Worked fine however, there was damage to my newly refinished hardwood floors which Maytag did pay to repair. A couple of days ago I opened the freezer and again noticed ice all over freezer. The next day, water all around freezer. I cleaned everything up, so I thought. The day after, we noticed the hardwood in kitchen buckling up far from refrigerator and the laminate in dining room bubbling, even though there was no visible sign of water. Called Maytag repair company but they couldnt come out for a couple of days. Called another local repair service familiar with Maytag refrigerators and he couldnt find anything wrong with refrigerator even though he knows leaking caused by refrigerator. Called insurance co. and they sent over service master. Leak is definitely coming from refrigerator. They had to pull up hardwood floor, part of walls, the dining room. They now have five large fans going and a defroster to dry things up. This is upsetting, as my daughters wedding is next month, my husband is currently laid off and I dont need this kind of aggravation again. I love the french door idea, so roomy for my large family, but I am now afraid of this refrigerator. I dont want it but think it is ridiculous I have to shell out more money when the refrigerator is less than 3 years old. I talked with a higher level supervisor at Maytag and they are only willing to give a 100.00 rebate towards a new refrigerator since the refrigerator is out of warranty. This is ridiculous. I thought by buying American I was helping our economy but what I got in return is heartache and crappy merchandise. If there is a lawsuit in California against Maytag about these refrigerators I want to join. My friend in N. CA who bought her Maytag refrigerator the same time I did is also experiencing leaking. So frustrating.
