The dishwasher is very stylish and looks great in our kitchen. I do wish there was a small knife drawer in top. It cleans very well and is super quiet. I would highly recommend this dishwasher, good value.

We purchased a MAYTAG refrigerator when we recently built our present home. This refrigerator has been a nightmare! Ice forms in the bottom freezer and then constantly melts out of the bottom of the appliance all over the floor. Weve had a number of service calls with no real effect. The computerized function that sets functions do not work well and often shut down the appliance with little clear way to start it up again. The ice maker/dispenser often clogs up or will not produce ice. Weve had it! We broke down today and spent the money on a new GE refrigerator. My very strong advice is DONT BUY A MAYTAG refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom!

I have enjoyed my microwave and it has lasted 10 years so far. The only problem I have had is the handle coming off but I clip it back on. Also I changed the bulb. The microwave is over the stove and matched the rest of my appliances. Basically, I would recommend Maytag for any appliances that a person would need to buy.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB7749SBM3 in January of 2014. I have had issues with the control board for the past month: lights come up at random; it takes 3 to 10 trials to get it to start and now it is dead. After reading many reviews on this site, I now understand what the problem is. I called Maytag customer service and they wanted to schedule a service call at $98 just for the diagnostic. I asked the Maytag associate whether the control panel issue was a common problem and she said she would research that but did not give me an answer. I am totally disgusted by this company!!! I would be happy to join a class action suit.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Top Load Washer in February 2012. I wish I had understood the workings of the washer before making the purchase. I am not at all happy that the lid locks as soon as the washer starts and unless I push a button to get the lid open. I cannot open the lid to maybe add more items or check to see if the water amount is sufficient or too much. I have no idea how much goes in for each water level. Of course, I cannot take water out but I could put more in if I see it is not enough. And after learning the water levels, I would know just how to determine the level I need. Some man must have designed the panel. Otherwise I am satisfied. I really like the large load capacity. I originally thought I wanted a front load to get a large capacity but this suits me fine.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer about 2 years ago. I’m on my second washing machine (one was replaced from Lowe’s not Maytag). The second washer has now gone out! First it was the lid lock and now who knows! The repairman can’t even fix it. Biggest piece of crap, stay clear!! My first set lasted 25 years. Poor quality workmanship and customer service!!

Washer sounds like gearing is broken, is noisy during operation, various combinations of options dont work, appearance of only one agitation cycle combination on washer, just many settings but all with the same response; dryer does not timely dry clothes, all settings default to the same palpable heat temperature; clothes take much longer to dry in new dryer than they did in old Maytag. Newer Maytag set appears to be secondhand garbage sold as new by Menards. Company unresponsive to complaints.

Maytag french door bottom freezer model #MFF2558VEB5 - It stinks to read all the similar problems Ive had with my unit. Purchased Nov 2011. Problems started within a year. First minor, deli drawer broke. I use clear duck tape to operate it and that has been fine. But not acceptable. About a year ago the water leak out of bottom freezer was noticed. The bottom inside is frozen sheet. I break up and manually remove quite often. NOTE: I intentionally do not use, did not install, the ice maker - historically they are poor risk so I dont bother. The ice unit is in the machine but not installed. I assume my water build up which freezes on bottom related to poor design of defrost drain and that is supported by other comments here. I find it disgusting. Live and learn. Its B.S.

This Maytag dishwasher was purchased because Maytag has always been represented as a reliable brand. Wish I had done some research on this problem before repairing it! The control panel went bad after 18 months (and at least 6 months of this time it was not used at all!). The repair cost $300, the dishwasher only cost $429, and if I had realized how much this would cost I would have bought another dishwasher instead. Wonder how long this control panel will last? I called Maytag to complain and was told by Dana badge no. ** that there was nothing to be done as it was out of warranty. We have had dishwashers for 10+ years before that never gave us any trouble. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she told me she didnt have one! Really, how about if George Moore the CFO or Arthur Learmonth the President call me back on this one! We shall see what they say, but I can see by all the complaints about the same issue with Maytag dishwashers that we will probably be out of luck unless we start or join a class action lawsuit (looks like there is one in California already). I will amend this post if Maytag decides to stand by their product and at least pay for the cost of the control panel, but Im not holding my breath.

I PURCHASED A WALL OVEN ABOUT 4 months ago. Used the self cleaning, oven blew fuse and some other part, had to wait for almost 2 weeks for repair because of self cleaning liner is now peeling and leaving fine particles. Maytag said it was ok, they would not replace, the liner doesnt have a replacement part so Im going to have to buy a new oven to feel safe for my family meal.

I purchased this washer three years ago. It worked fine, but all of a sudden the washer stopped spinning and was not following any of the cycles. Of course it was out of warranty. The repairman states the computer board on the washer is fried and will cost $400 to replace. Several stores have stopped selling Maytag because of quality issues. No more Maytag for me.

Control panel start button failed 55 weeks after purchase and installation. Model no. MDB4709PAW. Repair costs for labor and part totaled $298. I have since found out that Maytag dishwashers with this type of control panel are faulty and fail often within first 3 years. Purchased at Johnnies Appliance, Glendora on 6/14/14 NJ; ticket no. **.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher less than a year ago and are very disappointed with the poorly designed quality of this product. We had a Maytag repairman look at our dishwasher and he told us that; the dishwasher cleans with enzymes in the dishwasher not water pressure, and we need to make sure the water in the kitchen faucet need to be hot before starting the dishwasher, we also need detergent, rinse aid, and citric acid added to each load. Adding all these products to the dishwasher does not fix a poorly designed product. This product does not clean the dishes, even with rinse aid the glasses come out cloudy. The dishwasher has a power blast button, it does not clean the dishes any better than the regular setting and it runs for four hours. We will never buy another Maytag product.

OK, Im at wits end. I bought a very expensive Maytag Gemini range four years ago. Since then, I have replaced 10 burner valves. There are only five of them. They have each been replaced twice, and tonight yet another has broken. This time it is broken in the ON position, which means I cant have the range on without that burner on. It means unplugging it when not in use and lighting the burner with a match when I re-plug the stove, until I get it fixed. I had just replaced valve number 10 on Tuesday, and had a fully working range for only 5 days. These valves are under warranty but the labor is not, and it is always close to $200 to have someone come out to replace them. I cant afford a new stove and I cant afford to keep having these defective valves replace.

I bought a Maytag washer about 4 months ago and the dryer the washing machine has went down a couple of times but I managed to get it to start again. This time it will not start back up. It just as a little water and stuff and will not lock and wash. It never gets the clothes clean and you have to wash them twice or at least a residue on the clothing. I hate this washer and Im very saddened that Maytag will not come out - told me that they had to find someone. There was no one in the area that could fix my washer. It has been nearly a week now and no response from them. Im going to have to buy another washer. I am so upset to spend nearly 800 some dollars on a brand new washing machine and it does not work. I think that was all the complaints that I have seen on this page so somebody needs to put them on the news and also someone needs to start a lawsuit against this company. Shame on you Maytag. Maytag Jetclean EQ Plus Dishwasher - We purchased the dishwasher in June of 2014. Recently the control panel decided it wont work. There is power to the unit. I am told that the unit is no longer in warranty so we have to pay for everything.

The washing machine is rusting and Maytag refuses to take care of their inferior product and obvious inferior materials used, and also inferior workmanship.

Two in a row make it just over a year then the control panel goes out. You call a Maytag repairman and they say the control panel is bad! #1 it should last more than a year and a half. #2 a part shouldnt cost you as much as the darn dishwasher! Do not recommend nor would I ever buy another Maytag.

I purchased a washer and dryer model MAH8700AWW. In 2005, I purchased the extended warranty. In 2009, I had to replace the main control board and motor on the dryer. Now, I find out that the washer has a warped drum which caught on the door boot and messed the shaft up. I didnt know that it has probably been that way since I purchased it because every time I washed clothed, I had to stay in with it because when it would go to spin, the washer would walk out into the middle of the room. I called about it and they told me to put rubber pieces to hold it still. Now it is going to cost $ 821.95 to fix. That is more than I paid for the washing machine and Maytag will not help to fix it. I would like someone to contact the company and find out why they dont stand behind their products anymore.

We have had the oven, a Maytag Gemini Double Oven model mgt8775xs02, for 3 weeks now and I am so upset. First off, I became violently sick from the oven when we first used it. I had a horrible headache and then nauseousness and then the worst stomach problems I have ever had. The toxic smells coming from the oven were too much for me. We had every window open. I looked online and found other people who reacted the same way to their new oven smell. But now we are on the 4th time using the oven. We did a self-clean and I thought that would help but no, it smells like someone is pouring gasoline into my home. I smelled it in pockets throughout my house. I have had the gas company out twice and a repairman. They all cannot figure out the problem. I looked online to see if other people were having a gas problem from this model and I am not finding it. It is horrible. I feel like I am being poisoned. I have not had a working oven in 2 and half years and I was so excited to get this oven and now my new oven is making me so sick. I am not sure what to do from here.

A few weeks after I purchased my Maytag MEDC300 dryer in April 26, 2009, I noticed it gradually did not dry as hot as when I first used it but the element did not go out totally until April 2011. Now its November 2011 and the element is out again. Maytag is sending a service man, of course I have to wait until Monday, I am now inconvenienced 2 times in a year.Theres also what appears to be a burn mark on the back of the drum. Two years ago, I paid more than $400.00 for this thing and when it does work, you have to run it over and over again to dry your clothes. Wow! really energy efficient. What a piece of junk! I had my old dryer 10 years before an element went out. I did buy the Lowes protection plan that was sold with a No Lemon Policy. If the product requires more than 3 repairs for the same failure, theyll replace it, it says in the front of the brochure.In the small print on the back, it states 3 repairs for the same failure in one year. These companies are making money off us consumers who buy Maytag because of the name and what is supposed to be quality, and are ripped off by these insurance programs that say one thing but another in the small print. Big business is nothing more than robbers who get away with robbing the hardworking American people. When is it going to stop?

I purchased a washer/dryer, Maytag from Home Depot Nashville. It was delivered and set up. 02/24/17 the date of purchase, delivered 03/07/17. I have tried in every way to get the washer to wash properly, but to no avail. The water level doesnt cover the clothes, it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the wash to begin its cycle. It doesnt spin the clothes dry enough to put into the dryer. The washer makes all kinds of sounds thats drives you nuts while setting up to not wash your clothes clean. I have contacted Maytag on several occasion about this problem, they sent out someone to service the washer. Now, why would a brand new washer need servicing. Somethings wrong. It isnt functioning up to standards and they should give me another washer.Now on 05/18/17 the washer was serviced, I have called them again to do something about this piece of **. I was told that the only thing they could do is come service it again. Why, must this brand new washer be serviced every week. It doesnt make sense... I dont want this machine, I want my money back so I can purchase a machine that will wash my clothes properly. I purchased a secondhand washer and dryer from a used appliance store, it lasted my family 10 complete year. The only reason I dont have it now is because I wanted to upgrade, since I have never had a brand new set. What a disappointment. Everything that looks good from Maytag isnt good. I dont understand why they wont stand behind their product.Somethings got to be done about this. Maytag will not take my money 1,200 and force me to keep this malfunctioning piece of nothing. Im going to Youtube this product so the consumer can see how this product doesnt work properly, therefore they wont waste their hard earned money. And, should hold you responsible for ever time I have had to go to the wash house because my brand new set wont work, and your company wants to service it every time I try to wash. My husband and I bought a Maytag dishwasher, Stove and Fridge. We were very reluctant because at our prior home we had Maytag appliances and they kept going out. Against our better judgement when we moved into our new home we decided to go with Maytag once again. First the dishwasher front panel stopped working. We had it replaced and it cost over 250.00 with replacement part and labor. Not a week later went by when our Fridge went out, that cost us another 300.00 plus to fix. Keep in mind we had only had these appliances for about 14 months. Less than a year of replacing the dishwasher panel it has gone out again. This is very frustrating and expensive. I dont usually write comments, but felt the public needed to know that Maytag has poorly made appliances. I recommend you spend the extra couple of hundred bucks and buy the better brands and warranties. Thank you.

I have a Maytag refrigerator that is 7 years old. It works fine except it needs a new freezer door gasket. In trying to get the part so it can be repaired I discovered that they had chosen to discontinue production of this part. I can no longer get it anywhere. They were the most unhelpful customer service I have ever worked with. They refused to try to find a part for another model that may work. They refused to offer a discount on a replacement product. They even refused to give me a phone number to talk to management. I had always been a loyal customer to their brand prior to this but I will never again purchase a Whirlpool or Maytag product. I dont expect not to have an issue but I do expect the ability to be supported in obtaining a commonly replaced part for a major appliance that is less than 10 years old.

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... I purchased a refrigerator in Aug. 2012 from Home Depot. In June 2013, it broke. I contacted Maytag/Whirlpool and they had three companies come out to try and fix it over a four-week period when finally it was determined that it was unrepairable. Now I was told that we can get an exchange but now they have the incorrect delivery address and the person supposed to be handling my case has been on vacation and I left several messages. I contacted Maytag for someone else to help and cant seem to get anyone for the past 2 weeks. This has cost me money for food lost, time from work and time making calls.

I like Maytag but my low water no agitator washer does not do the job as well as it could. Also if a coin gets in the washer it is very hard to get out of the crevasse in the tub area. Most people from time to time have some change ending up in the washer...it should be easier to retrieve.

I purchased this washer in April 2017 from H/D. The machine started making funny grinding noise over this weekend. Had a tech come to house to repair. Tech said the insides are stripped, 300 plus in parts to repair and would be weeks to get parts. I called Maytag and they offered to send their own tech to see which parts and if any of them would be under warranty at a price of 109. I explained that I had an expectation that a washer would last longer than 31 months and spending another 109 dollars would be bad money after good with the 80 dollars for my tech. Maytag said take it or leave it. I am going to Lowes for a GE machine. DO NOT BUY THIS. IT WONT LAST. I will admit, Tina from Tennesse, the Maytag customer complaint person was nice and professional but not actually empowered to do anything to help. I will recommend to my 5 kids never buy Maytag.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos washer/dryer in January of 2012. In October of 2013, I noticed that the lid would not close properly. In examining the lid, we discovered that the screws were in tact but the information panel on the inside of the lid had come unglued causing the lid to be obstructed from closing properly. After calling Maytag we were told that they make a quality product and, in what I consider to be a condescending reply, could not help us. Replacement of the lid with the service call would cost almost the cost of this expensive washer. So disappointed in what we thought was a wise purchase!

MF12269VEM7 - I purchased a refrigerator in September 2013 and my ice maker stopped working within 1 month of delivery. I had the motor and ice assembly changed 3 times and over 12 service visits within the first 6 months. I had the motor and ice assembly replaced in March 2014 and they offered to extend my warranty for a year. My ice maker has stopped working again. When calling Maytag customer service, I spoke to the Supervisor who will pay for the parts but require me to pay for the service calls. As well they only have a 6-month warranty extension on file. This fridge is obviously a lemon but they will not take any ownership because I did not purchase an extended warranty! The Supervisor state he does not report to anyone and he has the final say regarding my service. I will never buy a Maytag again. A year and a half of ongoing problems and no solution.

MY 8 year old LG front load washing machine died late in 2019. I bought a new front loading MAYTAG machine from a local big box store. It was delivered and set up for me. I had always thought Maytag was a well made product. I wanted to stay with the LG machine, however NO local Repair Service Companies would service it! I was told LG and Samsung were substandard products. (My 9 year old LG clothes dryer is still in good condition).I am truly sorry to say the MAYTAG washer is dreadful. The door locks and cannot be opened the very second you touch the start button. There are fewer wash cycles to chose from. You can never tell if the clothes will spin or be soaked. The door needs to be left ajar and the interior wiped down at end of wash cycle. Etc.. I was ready to call the Store to return the machine - I should have - but I like store. The Maytag price was almost $900. I am very dissatisfied.

Maytag Washer Model#MVWC465HW2, just purchased it 1/30/2019, leaves white stains on dark colored clothes. I use liquid soap. I don’t use softener nor bleach. I use OxiClean on my whites and sheet softener in the dryer. Someone please out there help, I can’t return it, it’s past 30 days. I have extended warranty but they can’t help. It’s not broken. I hear a lot of bad reviews/complaints, but no answer if it’s been solved or how to solve it. Please someone help???

I purchased a Maytag Bravos line washer model # mvwx500xwo back in Oct. of 2010 thinking that it would be great to save money on the water bill. I first had issues with it putting holes in my clothes. I then found out if you do not zip up all zippers and button all buttons, the machine will rip them up due to the high speed spin cycles. Now, the washer will not fill with water or start the wash cycle. I mean really, its less than two years old and I have to shell two hundred plus dollars to fix a washer that only cost $500. I guess I know what brand not to shop for next.

We purchased our Maytag Bravos XL last month and within two weeks, we were noticing a BAD odor every time we used the machine. In fact, I just walked back into our house from outside and the entire house smells like old dirty dishwater and the smell is coming from the laundry room! This is a very expensive washing machine and we bought it because we thought that a Maytag would be better than the Whirlpool that just died after many years of repairs and aggravation. After reading these reviews, I wish I had bought a Speed Queen.

Bought the Maytag MDSH969AWS1 in Dec. 2010, and it quit after 4 and 1/2 years. Ironically, replaced a perfectly good 20 year old GE model that ran great for this piece of junk. I tried to diagnose the problem: the washer fills, but when the cycle is supposed to start it just hums. Then you have to drain it. So I think the problem is the motor or capacitor. The parts are stupidly overpriced, and Im not even sure if that is the problem. It could also be the electronics board (Ive heard of the problems with these on this brand). So instead of risking wasted time and parts Im junking this, er, piece of junk. The stainless steel door was rusting on the bottom too. American made crap! Bought a fancy Samsung to replace it, and will NEVER buy Maytag again. Im old enough to recall the lonely Maytag repairman -- Itd give him a swift kick in the rear for being associated with such a shoddy brand. Maytag, its the Dodge-Jeep of appliances.

Oven failed after 2.5 years of normal use (1-2x / week). Apparently a relay failed (and burned out bake element). Contacted service & parts dept and learned that repair would cost $100 for service visit and $413 to replace the control board. Only the $80 bake element is covered by the limited warranty. Wonderful oven if your hobby is appliance repair. After 2.5 years, it now functions better as a toilet than an oven.

I bought a front loading Maytag Cloths washer model# MHW3505FW1, SER# C71451407 new in April 2017, from Home Depot, since then it has broken down three times, with a water pump, a master board, and now another master board, we were told by the appliance repair service that is used by Home Depot extended warranty service, that it will take a month to receive the master board. Thats it... Never again will we buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product. This is unacceptable. Gone are the years when Whirlpool and Maytag made quality products!

Bought the pair of Maytags on sale at Lowes 6 years ago. They are commercial grade and wash everything. Have had no issues - works every time. It took a while to get used to not have an agitator but now it seems natural. Would buy again.

I have had nothing but headaches with our washer. We purchased it 4 years ago and after using it for a few months, I took it out because our clothes came out smelly and unclean. Called Maytag and they did nothing. So we went back to a regular washing machine and put this machine in the corner of the basement. I refused to throw away a $1,100.00 machine! So this year our machine quit, so we decided to try using the machine again to save us some money instead of buying another one... Well, that lasted for only a short time. Clothes still smell, came out unclean and just yesterday, the machine stopped rinsing and spinning! This machine has barely been used and its been nothing but trouble. Maytag service just plain sucks. They dont care about their consumers. I will never buy a Maytag again and I always let everyone I know to not buy this type of machine.

We bought a new Maytag top load washer March 2018. July of 2021 it starts making the worst racket Ive ever heard. I thought at first that there was a dog being killed by another animal. As I ran to the door I realized it was my washer. Long story short, repair guy said itd be cheaper to just buy a new washer. Maytag did nothing to help us resolve the issue of a 3 yr old machine totally useless. We bought this machine because we thought it would last for years. I mean their commercial shows the repair guys doing nothing because Maytags never need service. My new machine is not a Maytag. No more Maytags for me.

We purchased a Maytag Bravo in 2011. With only three adults in the house using it for regular clothes washing, we were surprised when we had to call a repairman and the charge was going to be over $500 to fix the transmission and clutch. We had the same problem as described in many of the other comments, i.e., door sensor would not work properly and machine would not spin. Not even worth it to fix. Word is that Maytag is made by Whirlpool and if this is true, it would explain the disappointment. We have replaced more Whirlpool appliances than I can count. Never again Maytag!

I bought a Maytag MMV1153BAW Microwave. Within a year, the electronic key pad started cracking from normal use. After two years, the microwave intermittently starts then just stops, with the key pad showing 0000. We must unplug the device, or turn the breaker off and on. I called Maytag about the key pad and they said it wasnt covered, and a replacement key pad cost more than the microwave. After two and a half years, we purchased a new microwave, and have sworn never to buy Maytag again.

I bought my refrigerator in May of 2012. Brand new from Home Depot. It is less than 3 years old. Now it is not working. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I never thought in less than 3 years my fridge would stop working. I called Maytag, first question from them was about warranty. So I knew I was screwed. So, basically for $300 they would come out and fix the problem. I only paid $800 for the fridge. I am lost as to why in 3 years my fridge is broke?? Makes no sense to me. So I paid a tech $100 to tell me what was wrong with it. The evaporator is leaking. It is leaking. So the evaporator is bad and I cannot fix myself. So for another $300 they would fix, so a total of $400 in an $800 fridge.I am pissed. I remember my parents having a fridge for over 25 years. Why does Maytag not take responsibility for their problem. The products we buy should last longer than 3 years. It is just a way for them to get us to buy another product. So needless to say, I am one pissed off customer. So let the emailing and letter writing begin.

I purchased the Maytag refrigerator MFF2055DRM on 7/7/16 new. It was suppose to be stainless steel; but now I am seeing rust spots at the top and bottom of the French doors. I clean my refrigeration weekly and find it odd that now it is rusting. Also, I am able to place magnets on the doors - which should not be for stainless steel. In addition, I spend over $100 a year replacing the mandatory filters. I must also place the setting to high to maintain my milk and juices. I must also have to place them in the very back of the refrigeration. I am a single senior and my refrigeration is not overloaded with food; nor am I constantly in and out of the refridge. Not very happy.

I have had this refrigerator for less than 3 years. It recently started leaking water on the floor and all over the bottom of the freezer. Repairman said it is a flaw with the defrost drain design. He thinks Maytag MIGHT have changed it since I purchased mine, but I dont know. Originally they used this small rubber valve;repairman said they get clogged very easily (even though I vacuum around it regularly and dont have any pets). He replaced that part with something sturdy that looks like a p trap. I looked online and there are loads of complaints about this exact issue with the defrost drain clogging. It cost $250 to have it repaired. I called Maytag to ask to be reimbursed and of course they will not do anything since it is out of warranty. Its a shame Maytag wont stand behind their products. Since there are so many of us with this issue, cant something be done?

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

I bought a brand new refrigerator and about four months into using it, the freezer door began to become loose and opened by itself automatically. It also started to leak so I called the company continuously looking for a solution. However, they never resolved my problem. The company sent a technician. However he was unable to fix the problem. The technician said it was fine and did absolutely nothing. And now I am still waiting, but now your company says my warranty is up EVEN THOUGH I called much earlier and your company did NOTHING to help me. I need someone who can handle my problem. Ive been using your products for many years, and have always been satisfied by it. But this refrigerator has changed my perspective. I hope you give this a peace of mind and treat your other customers better.

Totally DISGUSTED!!!! Have owned my range for several years! Love have double ovens, however it is double the repair!!!! Every year we must have the handles replaced as the connection loosens and handles fall off!

Problems with Maytag dishwasher, purchased at Sears Canada Model MDB7749S is only a couple of years old, and as such is no longer under warranty. This Dishwasher is less than 3 years old! Both the interior and exterior is stainless steel and looks virtually new. Cost of parts and labour to repair amount to more than a new dishwasher--this is unacceptable. Poor design. Little value compared to cost. First issue: bottom rack wheels fall off because the plastic pin holding the plastic wheels on the rack become fall out, leaving no way to hold the wheels onto the rack. Second issue: faulty design of the integrated door handle and control panel on the exterior door face. The control panel pops out of the front cover panel when door is pulled open. With some struggle it can be popped back in.I agree with another reviewer who wrote: The design of the faceplate is defective in that too much force is applied to the faceplate when opening the unit. The handle is integrated in to the faceplate. The plastic used becomes brittle over time and breaks. The panel unit (W10811169) must be replaced in entirety rather than just its housing increasing the cost of repair. To have this failure occur within the first 3 years of use is very premature. I can only assume if I repair the dishwasher I will have the same problem again. I am considering buying a new model that is designed better and comes with a longer warranty on such parts.

I called customer service to ask if there was some way that Maytag could assist me with repair of this like new dishwasher. When I said it was out of warranty and I had no additional warranty, I was told that a repairman could come out for $110 and diagnose the problem and that parts and labor would be extra. I explained that I had purchased Maytag because I saw commercials, for years, showing that Maytag repairmen had no work. She was very unhelpful and kept droning the same mantra, that a repairman could come out for the above charge. I was very angry and asked for the name and address of the President of Maytag so I could send a letter of complaint. I composed a letter, however: it is Thanksgiving time and I need my dishwasher so I made an appointment to have it repaired. I was told he would be out Mon. between 8 and 5. I asked for a more specific time and was told that I would get a call on Sat. with the time. Thankfully, no call came, because on Sunday, I read the reviews on this site and realized that Maytag was no longer a reliable nor a responsible company and I decided to save myself money and time and stress and just go out and buy a GE. So we will hand wash the dishes on Thanksgiving and buy a GE on Black Friday. This does not mean that I am letting Maytag off the hook. I intend to send my letter to Jeff Fettig at Maytag and also join in the class action suit. How very sad that the name Maytag has become just a name used to shill for defective and shoddy merchandise.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer in October of 2011, I had a repair man come to check it since the spin cycle sounds like a jet is revving its engines in the laundry room. He told me that the repair cost is $493.50 to replace the transmission. The machine also has problems with the circuit board. The lid lock goes on and off and on and off so you cannot run the machine. Speaking to Maytag they just kept saying your warranty is over and we dont offer any assistance on the repairs. The machine cost $530.00 in 2011 and they think its reasonable to have repairs more than the cost of a new washer. They said they had no complaints on the model. My repairman advised not to buy Bravo, Cabrio or Calypso models since they all have the same problem with the transmission and electronics. I think they should at least pay for the parts, the transmission is $300. And we didnt even price the electronic part of repair.

Same issue as everyone else. Bought the French door with middle deli drawer fridge November 2012 at Home Depot. After 2 1/2 years freezer drain froze up leaking water into the floor. Spent 6 hours fixing it. Now still less than 3 years old the ice maker is not working. Not a jam or water supply issue. Just dead. Looking into replacing the ice maker. Such a disappointment. Only thing this fridge is good for is its looks. Obviously common repeated defects. Wake up Maytag and accept some responsibility.

I bought a French door refrigerator on May 23, 2012. It is now July 9, 2014 and the repairman has told me the compressor is bad. Maytag will do nothing about it because it is out of the 1 year warranty. I am very disappointed because I thought I was buying a quality appliance. I will never purchase another Maytag appliance!

Maytag Centennial Washer MVWC400XW2 - Bought this washer Fall 2011 -- first 6 months had to be serviced and now (February 2016) needs to be serviced again - has not cleaned my clothes for the last 3 months. Now, I have had to order a new washer - you can bet it wasnt a Maytag. My new washer will not be delivered for another 3 weeks. Past the part of not cleaning clothes, now it wont even empty the water, or pump out the water. It makes a horrible noise! Before it wouldnt use any water, now, it fills completely up. I do not know if it will make it through this current load much less another 3 weeks. Always bought Maytag before BUT WILL NOT AGAIN - after what I have been through with this washer!

Maytag Washer over 3 years old. Often problematic not functioning smoothly! Maytag invented this defective machine to intentionally rob the customer with all the probs that comes with it - poor design & quality, & not logistically programmed! I have a Maytag refrigerator - the kind with the French doors with the freezer in the bottom and then the middle drawer is now leaking water all over my hardwood floors. This is ridiculous. Maytag better get off their butt. They need to send people out or send letters to people that have these freezers to fix them. When you pay a lot for something they should get a good product. If there a recall they should of send out letters or something.

Lid lock issue. 2 years old. I will never buy a Maytag, or any other Whirlpool brand for that matter. I am VERY disappointed. A service call will cost at least $200 dollars so why not just buy a new washer for that price. Also, I read that consumers should stay away from automatic water level washers. They never work right.

Had the new set for over a month now and are very impressed. If you actually know how to do laundry, and dont load it up to the top with greasy, dirt filled work clothes, etc. (like some **) you will have no problem lol. We have Absolutely nothing bad to say about Maytag products, and the new set is amazing!!!!

I purchased this washer two years ago. It is supposed to be high efficiency so I was using cold water with the Water level sensor. The first load of dark clothes I washed came out with soap streaks all over them. This happened every time I washed dark clothes and sometimes they were barely wet. I emailed Maytag but they didn’t reply, so I called customer service and was told I should always use warm water and when washing dark clothes select a deep water wash. How is this HE?? When I wash towels or sheets everything comes out tangled and I am only putting in one set of queen size sheets. I will never buy another Maytag.

I purchased a 2006 model Maytag Top load Washer and Dryer used 9 years ago January 2010 to replace a 2009 Samsung front load washer/dryer. I had to replace the agitator on Maytag washing machine before I could use it. Fast forward November 2018 the washing machine stopped agitating the clothes, but would spin the water out. I replaced 2 belts and thoroughly cleaned underneath and inside washer to remove soap residue. Maytag washing machine has been used twice a week since 2010-2019 and still going strong. Maytag dryer has never had any issues. I also own a set of 25+ year old Maytag Washer/Dryer both still working.

Purchase a Maytag washer in 2012 and less than 4 years later have to go shopping for a new washer. Purchased a Maytag because was under the impression that it was a good product and would last. Not true. The washer almost caught fire, just happen to be nearby when smoke started coming out from behind the washer, so I was able to turn off the machine and then unplug it and my husband smelt wires burning. If I hadnt been nearby we could have had a fire instead of smoke. I dont want to rain on anyone parade but I wont be recommending this product to anyone.

MAYTAG BRAVOS WASHER - Biggest mistake I have ever made, like all the other complaints, washer does not clean the clothes. This washer and dryer are in our vacation home. Only used on weekends we are there, now the washer is broken, will not spin and UL light comes on, even with no clothes in it. DO NOT BUY!!! Like others have stated, we need to start a class action lawsuit against Maytag for fraud and knowingly selling junk.

About 6 years ago we purchased a new french door style refrigerator. It lasted one year and one month then needed over $700 in repairs. First you need to know I am into electronics, DeVry graduate with 30+ years experience in repairing electronic devices. The Maytag basically frosted over in the freezer and was warm in the upper part of the fridge. I called a friend who had experience fixing fridges and lo and behold we found something really unusual.The way this machine operates is by blowing the cold air from the freezer up into the fridge. There is a fan located in the back of the freezer wall that does this. We found the fan, which was mounted in a grey box, spinning at about 2 revolutions a minute. My friend took me to the wholesale parts distributor he uses and we gave them the brand (Maytag) model (MFD2561HES) and they gave us a fan... just a fan with two wires. No grey box with fan inside... At this point I got curious, I mean WTF?!?The grey box was made not to be opened and I had to get clever so as to not damage whatever was inside it. After getting it open I discovered the fan inside was wired to a circuit board which upon inspection was a timing circuit. This is why the fan still turned only too slow to function. The new fan was installed and my only problem with the fridge now is the ice maker, which I disconnected.Conclusion: Maytag actually designed this fridge to break down and require hundreds of dollars of repairs AFTER the warranty expired by installing a timing circuit that disables the fan that drives the cool air to the upper part of the fridge to keep your food cold and your freezer frost free. Replace the grey box with a normal fan and youll get years of good use out of your French Door Maytag! As long as you clean the seals regularly and dont mind buying ice to fill the tray with... The repair cost me $39 and a six pack of beer for my friend.

We have a 4yr old model MFI2665XEM7, just started leaking water every other day. A puddle wipe it up and its gone. Have ice build up on the bottom of freezer. Any suggestions on what to do?

I purchased this machine (Maytag Bravos XL MVWX700XL2 ) about 18 months ago. I was so excited with the looks and the reviews I found on the machine at that time. For the first 14 months I was happy. All of a sudden, it has become the washer from Hades! It twists and almost ruins my clothing. Not to mention, I think it is permanent wrinkles that it puts into things. I washed our comforter on Bulky. The part that must have been at the bottom is completely wrinkled and it also wrecked all of the fill. This was a comforter that it is supposed to be fine to put in the washer. I am attaching pictures in which you can almost plainly see where the comforter was at the bottom. I had a serviceman out a few weeks ago. He said Maytag knows that there is a problem, however, there is no service bulletin that is out yet on it. In addition, he ran all of the codes and told me there is nothing wrong with my machine. That must be why I have to iron almost every piece of clothing in this house. Maytag will hopefully give me decent customer service on this, or I will come unglued. For the price of this washing machine, I expected much more.

The control panel and the electronic control box had to be replaced after only two years of use. It cost almost as much as a new dishwasher (492 dollars). The model of the Maytag dishwasher is MDB77479SBM3. This dishwasher looks good from the outside and runs quite but the electronics are cheap and cant stand heat without melting. My wife and I are retired and only used this washer about twice per week. It looks good, cost 650 bucks and it is a pile of junk. No more Maytag in our house. We had this machine installed in July of 2014... It crapped out in July of 2016.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

Bought a Maytag Washer, in 2010 the Bravo. Good looking washer and dryer. I bought a 4 yr warranty for both. My washer has needed service every yr of the warranty, leaks and has stopped running. Now it is out of warranty and it is leaking again. Was just fixed a little over a year ago. I am now seeing a lot of rust around the top of the washer. It has just about covered the one port where you put the bleach in. The seam around the top in the crease is full of rust. My dryer is fine, bought them both at the same time. I have never seen this on a washer before. My mom has had her Maytag for yrs no problem. I bought these thinking they would last, boy was I wrong.

A contractor purchased the Maytag MDB7609AWW2 dishwasher about two years ago. Sometimes it will start a load, but most times it will not. The light for high temp, heated dry and sanitize work, but the heavy, normal, light indicators will not light up. Im faced with either replacing the control board or control electronics. I was told Maytag is a quality product. I have not abused the product. The last dishwasher that I had lasted 10 years. I only purchased this one because of a remodel. I will most likely replace the control board since thats the defective part. It doesnt give me a good feeling about replacing the part since it’s obviously a defective part. I will consult Consumer Reports before purchasing another dishwasher.

I bought this washer (Bravos Washer Model MVWX655DW) in June 2017. My wife and I did plenty of research and only complaint at that time was that it made load clicking noises. We bought it and it worked fine but never really filled with water to a level which would cover the clothes. Today I ran a load and brownish water was seeping out from underneath. When I lifted the machine my floor was covered with old stains which looked like oil or grease. I called a local service company and when they found out which model I had they refused to look at it. They said that particular model was known for having issues and when they fixed it, something else would go. They recommended looking online for reviews and calling Maytag.I did so and after explaining the situation to Maytag, they offered to send a technician to look at it to diagnose, not free of charge of course. While I cannot tell you avoid a particular company, I can say MY family will never buy Maytag again. If a washer is well known for having issues within its first 3 years and a company will not try to make it right simply because theres no recall on it I will spend my money elsewhere. Seems fishy that this machine has a ton of 1 star reviews within the last two months and Maytag does not want to eat the cost of servicing their junk.

I have never been so disappointed in purchasing an appliance for my home. The Maytag Bravo XL large capacity top loader, has never worked properly, and I have many ruined pieces of clothing. Although it has a very large capacity, the water barely fills to a 1/4, and clothes are sticking out of the water, while they are supposed to be submerged/being washed IN the water. Clothes come out of the washer smelling foul. WORST WASHING MACHINE EVER.

I bought a new smart washer and dryer from Maytag in mid-2019. Beginning in the first few weeks the machine did not perform as expected--cut off in middle of cycle, door failed to unlock at end of a cycle, constant error messages that made no sense (power failure when power didnt fail, codes that arent defined in the owners manual). To make a long story short, the company that does their warranty repair, which has worked on the machine approximately 8 times, tells me there is nothing else they can do, the machine is a lemon. But their customer service department refuses to replace it. They say it must be repaired, yet again. But the parts are out of stock (which should be a pretty good indication that theres a problem with product quality). So I am to wait. How long? They dont know. Call again tomorrow.Do NOT buy a Maytag appliance. Customer service does not stand behind their products and the products are no longer up to the quality I had previously expected from Maytag. Additionally, telephone wait times on the customer experience line can exceed an hour and are customarily over 30 minutes. Never had an experience like this with any other major appliance customer service department.

Do NOT purchase a Maytag dishwasher. What happened to the Maytag repairman being so lonely. Now he has lots of company in the way of angry consumers. Purchased a Maytag dishwasher and less than a year later the control panel failed. It was still under warranty but the service person just tweaked it instead of replacing it. Now, less than a year later it has failed and will cost over $200 to replace and repair. This is disgusting.

I bought a new washer and dryer on Sept. 9, 2011. Front Load Commercial 2000 Series. I have had Lowes to my home 2 times since it was delivered because it shimmies across the floor. I am very upset with the purchase of the Maytag front load washer. If you could please get back to me on what can be done. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in March 2005. About every 8 to 12 months since Ive owned it, the control panel malfunctions and needs to be replaced. I was told by the repairmen (similar to the many other postings below) that the malfunction is due to a faulty design where warm moisture shorts out the electronic control panel. For a few years, I paid for a service contract. But this seemed quite unfair, given the regularity of the same malfunction. Given that this is such a common problem, isnt there some responsibility by Maytag? This is clearly a faulty design. What about the legal responsibility for a recall? Is it possible that, together with other aggrieved owners, a lawsuit against Maytag would be the appropriate action?

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

I purchased an LG (white) washer last year, but my husband upgraded all appliances to stainless, including Maytag washer and dryer. The washer does not fill with enough water to cover the clothes. It barely agitates them to wash. Some clothes even come out with dry spots on them at times! They smell and are still dirty when done. I have tried every setting hoping that was the issue. Normal, power wash, none work any better! Had to resort to the soak function which does not add fabric softener or drain the water completely. Thankfully I didnt sell or get rid of the LG. Putting the LG back in asap. Nevermind the mixed color finishes of white and stainless between the washer and dryer. Clean clothes most important! Piece of garbage and complete rip off!

Similar to dozens of others, we purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in March 2011. Recently, it stopped working, dead - no lights, no action. Called Maytag and they referred me to a Maytag Repairman: Coastline Appliance Service of Huntington Beach, CA. The serviceman came out and spent 20 minutes, checked the door switch for continuity, and declared the control panel bad. How do you know its the control panel, I asked. Its my gut feel, based on experience, he said! He charged me $129 for the visit and said a new control panel would cost $380! After reading other posts online, I can only conclude that a new control panel (if that is, indeed, the problem) will also go bad in the next year or two. So, like so many others, were off to buy a new dishwasher - and we will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again.

I researched gas ranges for a few months before choosing our Maytag gas range - it was on sale when we ordered it and it arrived within a couple of weeks. We wanted to buy local and were successful with price matching the sale price. I would recommend this range as it functions great and we totally love the larger oven door.

Maytag Bravos Commercial Washer MVWX500XWO - This has been the worst experience with this $900 washer and breaking down in less than 2 yrs. We can do nothing at the control panel even though the drum light will come on when the door is opened, we cannot turn it from the control panel. After a varying length of time, a fault code of F70 is displayed (which is not covered in the owners manual), the dryer can then be started by depressing the power button and all functions seem to be restored.

I bought a full Maytag kitchen in 2010 because like many others, I trusted the brand. However, before I knew it, the dishwasher broke down. I live in Canada so I get Whirlpool (owns Maytag) 2 year limited warranty. Thank God for that because I have had the repair guy come 7 times. Each time for the same problem (control board) and they have replaced a listed of parts with no success. I have asked them to honor their no lemon policy but am given excuses as to why someone has to come see it first before they can give me a new one. Once the service guy arrived he obviously has no idea about anything and just goes for the repair. Its so frustrating.I am fed up. It is completely unacceptable because now Im losing money staying home waiting for the repair guy. Maytag is the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. I only hope you see this before buying a Maytag product. Like many others here I use my dishwashers once a week. Now Im faced with a dilemma where I might have to purchase a new dishwasher as soon as my 2 year warranty runs out. My $700 went down the drain.

Ive used Maytag Dishwashers since the 1980s, from Alabama to California. And I wouldnt change a thing. In fact my entire family (well the folks that can afford it) uses maytag dishwashers. Extremely satisfied we are.

We received our new Maytag washer MHW8200FC on Saturday 11/18/17. We washed 2 loads on Saturday and on Sunday it didnt start. Not only did it not start but it was locked with clothes in it. We finally got it to open but it wouldnt start to wash. We had the distributor, Warners Stellian, schedule a service tech. He came out on 11/21/17 and determined the board was bad and that he would order one and be back on 11/29/17. A week without a washer doesnt work for a family of 5. This isnt like a lawn mower I use once a week, we use it daily. Whatever happened to quality control? A brand new expensive product breaks in 2 days? Maytag says its Made in the USA, which Im all for... Only if it works. USA or China, broken is broken so I dont care where its made. Whether its planned obsolescence or just a plain faulty product, Maytag is now another brand that I will avoid buying in the future.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

Waste of $1700. Well all I can say is I wish I woulda read these reviews prior to buying but thought Maytag was a good brand. Boy was I wrong. Never again will I purchase Maytag products. I must say I haven’t had any issues with the dryer. Works great. The washer on the other hand is garbage!! It barely cleans the clothes. Some articles only get partially wet. Everything tangles together. The worst part is all my dark clothes ends up full of dust and lint. They look dirtier coming out than when they went in. Very disappointed. If you use deep load it takes about 1 1/2hrs to wash, definitely not energy efficient, and clothes still have lint on both cycles, and unfortunately most of our clothes need to be hung up, so dryer can’t pick up the lint. My old wash was way better. I shoulda went for same old style. Save you money and buy another brand.

Sometimes the control panel is difficult to work with especially if the wash is paused to add more clothes or detergent. The good things is that the tub is very large so a comforter can be washed and you can control the amount of water depending on the amount of what is being washed. I also like that it doesnt have the big agitator in the middle.

The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

I purchased a Maytag Dryer Model MEDC200XW1 Electric Dryer in November of 2011. Along with a Maytag Washer from Home Depot. This week the dryer stopped heating for no apparent reason. I use it about three times a week. I tried to speak to Maytag customer service, they were very rude and did not care I spent thousands of dollars in kitchen appliances as well. They would not even cover the service call or diagnostic or half the repair cost. Supervisor Brian @ Maytag Customer Service was rude and unprofessional. I will never buy their product again.

My oven smelled for weeks after being installed. The first time I self cleaned, the oven stopped working and the door remained locked. It took weeks to get it repaired because we needed a part that had to be ordered. The second time we self cleaned, the oven smoked, set off smoke alarm that had to be disconnected, the control panel bulged, and the door locked. It was Sunday. I wrote a nasty email to Maytag. The service man who came Monday could not unlock the door, and said he had to order a part and would return the next Tuesday if the part arrived.Next, I had warranty issues. I had to get a copy of the purchase receipt from Home Depot to prove that the oven was still in warranty. Out of the blue, my phone rings on Thursday and it was Joe ** from Maytag in Michigan. He had read my email, said he was sorry for all the problems, and if I did not mind waiting 2 to 3 weeks, he would send me a brand new oven, would have it installed, and would have the old oven sent back for inspection. I did not mind (although there is only so many things that can be grilled or you can bake in a toaster oven). Three weeks later, I have my newly-installed new oven with its new, year-long warranty. Thank you Mr. ** and Maytag for the great service.

Bought a brand new Maytag French Door Bottom Mount refrigerator in 2014 to simply upgrade to stainless steel. Put my old refrigerator that I have had for 17 years in the garage. Never EVER had an issue with it and it still runs perfectly. Well, just out of warranty in May of 2015, the ice maker stopped working in the new Maytag. Called and got service. Learned there was a recalled part. Service man fixed. 2 days later, it broke again. They came back out and fixed again. This time, the motor was REALLY LOUD. They came out to replace that. Now, both the freezer and refrigerator are not properly cooling. Cannot keep ice cream and cannot make ice. Called again. I was told these dual fan systems simply do not work. I am out of warranty and too bad for me. A wasted $2500!!!

My clothes come out extremely wrinkled and start piling after a couple of washes. I wash on cold and do not overload the machine. I am 64 years old and had always loved Maytag until I got this set 4 years ago.

My husband and I bought this refrigerator on 11/24/17 at Lowes for $2969.00 (excluding tax and white glove delivery). Never thought that not even after less than 2 years we would be having so many issues with this unit. The fridge part stopped cooling a couple of months ago and we were told by a technician that it was due to some coolant issue which of course our home warranty (Choice Home Warranty) wouldnt cover the repair. Well my husband fought them and we were able to have a second technician come and told us it was a sensor issue which he replaced. In the meantime I called Maytag to complain and they wouldnt even send someone to take a look. Anyway, the fridge worked after they replaced the sensor but unfortunately last week we started having the same issue. You would think for such a price you would get a decent unit, but big mistake there...now we have to find a way to replace it and we have little kids in the house. I also find out that Lowes doesnt even carry that brand anymore, perhaps because its defective. Maytag doesnt want to help us and Lowes cant do anything about it. So please STAY AWAY!!!! Should we be compensated, yes I believe so and so does anyone going through the same issue. Money doesnt grow on trees, stop deceiving your consumers Maytag!

I hate my $500 Maytag washer that looks like a regular agitator washer but isnt & doesnt even fill up halfway with water. It definitely doesnt clean my clothes well enough either!

Worst washer ever. My clothes I have to wash a few times before they all get wet. Not a good washer at all. Has all the bells and whistles. Lets me know when the washer is done or its unbalanced... my washer is crap. Ive had it maybe a year now. I now have to buy another one. Why? Because this one sucks literally... its Maytag commercial technology.

A lot of the reviews contain complaints about the Bravos XL MCT top load washer. We purchased one in December, 2015, and so far have not had any problems. We had a 3 yr old Whirlpool side loading washer that we just gave away, as it never got enough water to even dampen a comforter or quilt. This machine works very well, in spite of lower level of water. I was pleasantly surprised when I could see the water level with the first load! The controls are not as intuitive as other machines; e.g. spin only requires you to select Rinse/Spin cycle, and THEN turn OFF extra rinse. Perhaps the proper way is to have a Spin-Only cycle, and then tell the user to click the extra rinse ON. We do probably 1 load a day. Water bill has not been significantly higher than when we had the Whirlpool that hardly used any water. Today, though, a heavy quilt (it WAS distributed evenly around the impeller) was put on Bedding so the water level would be a bit higher to ensure the entire quilt was wet. Fine so far. However, during the Spin Cycle, the unbalance became so violent that the washer stopped for a few seconds and then went BACK to the Rinse cycle. It did this several times before we realized that the time remaining had not gone down in over 30 minutes. My guess was that the sensor believed that maybe some additional water with another Rinse cycle MIGHT even out the load. It didnt. I finally stopped the machine, redistributed the quilt and then ran the Rinse/Spin cycle, choosing NOT to do the extra rinse. All came out fine. There was NOTHING in the manual indicating that this might be needed, except for the instructions to Spin only. If I have any other problems, I will send here.

After owning my refrigerator for about six months, it started to reek, the smell permeating all of the food in the fridge. After cleaning and disinfecting the fridge and throwing out all of the food I found that the smell was just as bad as before. When I checked online I found that Maytag owners have been complaining about the smell for over a decade now. It is caused by a poorly installed drain pan. The fridges design directs air flow so that the smell enters the fridge and distributes it evenly throughout the fridge.

My fiancee and I purchased a Maytag washing machine from our local Sears. We got it home and it worked fine, but after the first month it wasnt switching over from cycle to cycle. We called Sears and they stated that they didnt provide service to the washing machines, so we would have to call Maytag. We called Maytag and they sent servicemen from B & B Appliance to our home. We were told that they needed to order a piece and would be back at another time to fix the washing machine. They came back and said it was fixed. I went to start a load of laundry the following morning and the basement flooded. The hose had become dislodged when they were working on it. To add insult to injury, the washing machine was still broken. I called Maytag to request a different service company come to our home. Maytag said that they couldnt send a different company. They also couldnt replace our still broken washing machine and they could not accept a return. At this point we are out an almost $800 for the washing machine, over $5000 (which we have submitted to insurance) for the damage to our home, and almost $600 for a WORKING washing machine that was a different brand. We will never use Maytag ever again.

How is this fair that only a couple of washers recalled...I knew of no recalls either...My old Kenmore top loader outdated by far. Guess I should have kept it.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the Maytag Gas stove and oven. The setting are too high and you cannot simmer something, it burns. I tried the oven cleaner and my oven is still dirty. The burner knobs do not have a click feature. I came home to a house filled with gas. I was not using the top burners, so I must have brushed up against the burner knob while using the oven. I was only gone an hour, imagine if I had been gone longer and walked in the door and created a spark on the rug.
