I have a new Centennial Maytag dryer. What a horrible sound it makes when the time is up!!! I had another Maytag dryer for 19 years and it did not sound as obnoxious as this new one. HELP!! I can tell some man invented it.

I purchased this Maytag Washer and Dryer back in 2000 and have never been unhappy. It really gets my clothes clean and uses a lot less water than a top loader. The only issue is that if you do not clean it once in a while it will start to smell, but I have a cleaner I use every month and so far (knock on wood) it doesnt smell mildewy.

First bought a nice looking Samsung. Didn’t last 6 months. Upgraded to a nice Maytag with steam and have never regretted it. It’s been years of worry free and trouble free use. My Samsung dryer is on the way out the door and to be replaced with a Maytag too.

Purchased a Maytag Centennial top load washer that will not fill with enough water to wash clothes. The washer was purchased from Lowes on August 17, 2016 and we tried to return but Lowes refused because we were passed the required 30 day return period. We contacted the Maytag company and they sent out service people who reported that there was nothing we could do other than wash small loads. The company also reported that if we tried any of the solutions on the web we would violate our Warranty. Since we find ourselves in this spot (we should have read all the bad reviews here before the purchase) we have decided to place the machine in a very visible spot across from a new 100 store shopping center on a truck with a 4x8 sign warning the public not to purchase this product.

I have ALWAYS bought MAYTAG since the 1970s. But MAYTAG is no more. Whirlpool bought them out. I have an HE (first mistake)... HE... will go away just like low flow toilets did!!! You cannot wash clothes in 4 of water. I bought a top loading Brazos XL for $1100 (second mistake)... Have had it just over a year! I should have returned it but did not. Huge mistake (#3)... Repairman told me to get rid of it as fast as I can. Will eat me up in repairs. Now needs repair again for another NEW issue... The fill sensor does not tell the machine to load the proper amount of water. Now I cannot clean washer, tried three times last night. I am beyond upset. Repairman said buy GE! You can bet it will NOT be High Efficiency!!!!!

Does not clean properly! Water level is too low for clothes to move around properly. This appears to be a very poorly engineered product. We have had Maytag products for many years. The only good thing I can say about this product is that it beats a scrub board. Would not recommend Maytag product to anyone. Looking at other complaints it appears that Maytag is doing nothing about this. Will try to sell this at a yard sale and hope no one asks my opinion. Then go buy something that works.

We purchased a Maytag bottom-freezer refrigerator MBL2258XES1 from Home Depot on 12/30/2011. Other than being a bit noisy, it functioned without problem for a little over two years after which we noticed water pooling on the floor, just below the left-front corner of the bottom-freezer door. It was shortly thereafter we noticed the large sheet of ice that covered the entire floor of the freezer. Over the past several months I pull out the large towel, my spatula, my meat tenderizer and break up and lift out the ice onto the towel around every two weeks. Thanks Whirlpool/Maytag! At least that Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.UPDATED ON 03/18/2015: I called Maytag Customer Service, (800) 344-1274 to discuss remedies for my Maytag/Whirlpool bottom-freezer refrigerator which has a perpetual layer of ice on the floor of the freezer which leaks onto my floor. I was offered a product called Repair Plus One which includes parts and service for this repair and they throw in a 1-year warranty. The cost: $359.95. The representative informed me I only had 24 hours to make up my mind as the offer was time limited. I asked if there were any other remedies available to me and she said none other than a service call.

Omg I am so shocked at all the complaints about these refrigerators.. I too bought refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher from Lowes after a storm just about destroyed our home. I was so excited to have such a beautiful refrigerator and new kitchen...but shortly after it started freezing on the bottom of freezer and leaking all over. My new floors and kitchen cabinet are ruined. Every other day we have to break up ice and clean it out from freezer.. it still then leaks.. several family members have slipped and hurt themselves. Please if anyone knows how to get it fixed without it costing us a fortune let us know. Maytag (Whirlpool) knows it is a defect... Why will they not fix it? I cant afford a new refrigerator and shouldnt have to after only two years.. If a class action comes up.. please contact me. Shame on them...

I wish I had read the reviews before selecting this Bravos XL washing machine. I bought these from Conns Appliance as they were on sale 750. Rounded figure... They were delivered today and the company was professional and set them up, I have spent the last 4 hours washing the same medium load of childrens clothes trying to get them clean. Ive even separated them into smaller loads and am now into the 5th hour of laundering this same load... Im returning them but its gonna cost me 15% restocking fee. If theres a class action please count me in. I thought because our Maytag Neptune lasted so long wed have a great outcome again with these, boy were we WRONG!

The microwave is 5 years 6 months since purchase model MMV4203DS. Fire started at rack clip left front rack, was cooking bacon. Called Maytag and according to them and manual on page 3 is only for 2-level cooking to avoid damage to microwave oven. DOES NOT SAY WILL CATCH FIRE OR THE RACK CAUSES SPARKS AND BACON SHOULD NOT BE COOKED IN A MAYTAG MICROWAVE. But according to Representatives of MAYTAG ** its my fault for not reading my manual. YES AND NOT HAVING THE SERIAL NUMBER THAT IS ON A PAPER TAG IN THE WHIP ZONE. The was gone from keeping it clean faded out. So I cannot be helped without the model and serial number.

WOW, I cant believe a group of educated professionals made, tested, and approved such a washing machine. What a piece of crap. I could put my clothes in a bathtub and let the kids jump up and down on them and they would come out cleaner. I would love to have a heart to heart talk with the engineers who designed this, to ask, What were you thinking. What a waste of money, and a once good company, that will soon be going out of business.

Discovered that thousands of others are having problems with the control panel on their dishwasher. Mine is Model # MDB7749SBM2. Looks as if I should just junk this horrible product and buy a new one (another brand, of course). My biggest concern is that I purchased other Maytag products along with this dishwasher, ie, a refrigerator-freezer, a built-in stove top/oven and a microwave. I have had a service call on the fridge (water line), the oven (gas) will indicate a set temperature (400 degrees for example) sometimes it will only be abt 200 degrees via a portable thermometer... Sometimes it doesnt ignite at all (have to reset it 3 or 4 times, the microwave has issues with the digital readouts, and on and on and on.I have only had these appliances about two years (after warranty expired) when each unit started exhibiting problems. I paid $175 for the fridge repair and am now considering biting the bullet & replacing everything as MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL apparently isnt going to take responsibility for any defect on ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS! Im 75 years of age, retired and cannot afford the replacement route but it looks like I dont have a choice unless someone has a better suggestion. I dont have the skills or energy to attempt the repairs myself.

Bought used and still performs like a champ. It's old. Have the matching dryer but that quit working some time ago so I hang dry clothes.

Washer goes off-balance even when clothes are evenly distributed in tub. When it is turned off to rearrange clothes (which may have to be performed a couple of times), washer goes back to starting cycle which means more water. Afraid to do laundry unattended.

We purchased a front loading Maytag washer in January of 2011. We purchased an extended service plan in January of this year. I noticed a very loud noise and inappropriate operation during the spin cycle. I called the service plan, who contacted a repair service to come out and check my machine. I was told that there was a major problem that would be very expensive to fix and that the Assurant company would contact me in a few days. The company called and said that they would give me 75% of the value of the machine ($650) because fixing it was not economically feasible. I said that I did not want the money; I wanted the repair that I was guaranteed by my service contract. They referred me to the small print on the back of the sales letter. When I asked about any manufacturers warranty from Maytag (the washer was less than 2 years old), I was told that they had nothing to do with the manufacturer and I had to take that up with them. When I tried to call Maytag, they were decidedly unhelpful and referred me back to Assurant.There are several issues related to this event that I wish to complain about: 1) How dare a major company sell a thousand-dollar appliance that becomes unrepairable in less than 2 years and take no responsibility for the breakdown? There was obviously a defect in the machine that took over a year to show up (we are a household of 2 adults and did not overuse the machine). 2) How could a service contract issued under the Maytag name not be aware of parts covered by the manufacturer? 3) Should not the buyer of a service contract bearing the Maytag name be informed that it is not Maytag (the manufacturer) that is guaranteeing the product, but a third party?4) Should not the seller of a service contract be required to display the terms of the contract in a prominent place? The sales letter specifically states Repair or replace - If we cant repair your appliance due to a mechanical or or electrical breakdown, well replace it. The limits of coverage are in fact given in small print at the back of the letter and are on the contract, but this contradicts what is displayed prominently on the promotion letter. This is false advertising and should not be tolerated.

Purchased a Maytag four door refrigerator and it leaks water all over the floor. Every few days I remove ice from the bottom of the freezer.

I have had 2 Maytag washers in 37 yrs and loved their products, however I purchased a Maytag quiet 300 in 2/09 and it is the worse Maytag product on the market. The frame around the bleach dispenser has rusted out and I have called for the 3rd time in 5 years to have it repaired. To my dismay it will cost 300.00 to fix because the bearings have to be replaced. I will now have to purchase a new washer. The days of the Maytag man are long gone. By the way the Maytag dryer has been serviced twice. I thank God everyday for that extended warranty I bought, but now it has now expired.

As all the other reviews day 1 Dryer had no heat, washer unbalanced and knotting all the clothes. Sent out new dryer after trying to fix to no avail. One month after new dryer, normal cycle continues to run and not turn off. Repairs again - new computer board. Now washer is winding high pitch noise level - repair new bearings. Thank goodness for warranty. But washer and dryer act up again. I purchased extended warranty. Washer tub needed replacing because transmission went out, dryer again control panel problems. Last night the dryer started on FIRE. I’m sure because the control panel normal was not working again after it was replaced less than 2 yrs ago. Total time owned 6 miserable years. Going back to basics, ugh....

I have purchased my top loader Bravos washing machine 3 1/2 years ago and I have had nothing but troubles with my machine. I have had to replace the motherboard twice and I constantly have that foul smell in all our clothes. I have to wash each load twice and still the smell doesnt come out. I have also complained numerous times about the water level not being correct, but they keep saying that is how the high efficiency machine is. I can watch my load washing because we have the clear lid which I like. But at the same time, it gets me really angry seeing how this doesnt clean clothes like it should. I dont believe that the water levels are right at all. I have clothes that dont even get turned over as they are washing and I have even smaller loads than before. I can only clean 4 adult pairs of jeans at one time and I still think that is too much. I clean my machine every time the red light turns on with the Affresh tablets and sometimes I run a clean cycle with just bleach. Maytag has done nothing to try and correct these problems. Its so sad that I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to go wash them and there I have absolutely no problems. They have the HE front loaders and they have enough water to wash my clothes and I can actually see them being washed. I will never buy a Maytag washer or dryer again. How sad you have all these complaints and no one to help you fix or correct them the right way.

Just got off the phone with Whirlpool Customer Care after getting the run around between parts and customer service for most of the morning. My issue is with the shelving on my MSF25D2EAS01 Maytag side-by-side refrigerator. The plastic surrounding the glass shelving is disintegrating and they are not admitting to a defective design only that the original part has been obsoleted and a new one is available for purchase (an over $300 expense to replace three shelves) on a unit that is just over 2 years old. I am willing to bet the old part has been replaced with a different design after they realized a substantial number of customer complaints. As an engineer, it is obvious to me that these shelves are poorly designed for their intended purpose, furthermore my work allows me to recommend appliance brands for large projects so I see no reason to recommend Whirlpool or any of its subsidiary brands (Kitchen Aid, Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air) to any of our clients. Whirlpool quality and customer service is substandard and no better than any imported brand of appliances.

We moved into a new house and the GE washer died after the first week, then the Whirlpool replacement died after two weeks. Decided to try the Maytag which the store gave us for $50 more than the Whirlpool. It runs like a champ. At least two loads of laundry a day every day and sometimes weekends. Clothes come out perfect, no damage and the machine is quiet.

We updated our kitchen appliances in 2013 and purchased all from Home Depot. Purchased Maytag Refrigerator, free standing range and microwave. What a big mistake!!! Not one of them are worth what we paid for them. I just noticed that I was getting a (chemical) smell from inside our 6 year old 3 door model MFI2670XEM5 refrigerator. Well being I know what refrigerant smells like I have a leak in the interior of unit. This is my final issue with Maytag and their so called great built appliances, I have had nothing but troubles since about 2 years after we purchased it.I guess what really surprises me is that unit is built by Whirlpool and has their name all over unit and I always had good luck in the past with the brand. This is one of several issues including rust on freezer door, broken plastic drawer frames to French door hinges broken, ice maker door issues. What a waste of my money that I spent on these and now after 6 years need to buy all new. IT WILL NOT BE Maytag or Whirlpool!!!

Like other reviewers, I am having issues regarding the control board panel for MAYTAG Dishwasher Model Number MDB7749SAM0. The unit was less than 3 yrs old when the control board panel malfunction issue began. I feel like this is a manufacturing defect and the company should be responsible for repairing/replacing the control board panel. I contacted Maytag numerous times regarding this, but customer service continues to tell customers there is NO warranty after one year from purchase date, and they are saying there is no recall or other reported issues regarding the Maytag’s control board at this time. However, I have found numerous online complaints and reviews about the very same issue I am having and same poor customer service. Since MAYTAG does not seem to care about their customer’s concerns regarding their product breaking in I feel that the only solution is DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG dishwasher brand again. I have had other brands last much much longer than this one did.

I have a Maytag Clothes Washer. Lid Closed Light is flashing and agitator will not spin. Troubleshooting shows when the washer does not detect the lid is closed the agitator will not spin. I went to Maytag Canada website and chose Live Agent. There is no Live Agent! You get a Virtual Assistant that does not work; bad software. Virtual Agent shows connected. I type in the details of my issue and the Virtual Agent responds with No Input Detected. I type in the details again and the Virtual Assistant responds with Connection Closed, try refreshing. Over and over again. Tried calling the Maytag Canada 1-800 number. I have now been in the queue for more than 40 minutes. Just stupid cycling for a recording for common problems dealing with products that are not a washing machine (about a 9 minute cycle). NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Avoid Maytag, Whirlpool and Kitchen-Aid products. Buy from another manufacturer that has live people working at the company.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer about 2 years ago; dissatisfied with the products. Washer continues to smell. I clean it all the time with the Affresh tablets. Usually, I have to use 2 bags just to get it not to smell for at least 2 weeks. Now, the glass front dryer is rusting out around the window.

Maytag Centennial washer - Bought this washer brand new and after the first 2 months started having issues. The washer took FOREVER to fill and to complete a basic load took literally an hour or more. Then within the next 7 months it stopped spinning out the final spin cycle. Spin light would flash as would lid lock but wouldn’t spin the water so I had to manually unplug the machine then plug in out cycle on drain and spin and that worked 50 percent of the time. Repairman came out and said could be a number of issues but he said honestly it would cost me a lot less to just go buy a new washer! This is INSANE! I grew up with the Maytag repairman commercials and thought Maytag was still top of the line but LEMME TELL YA, IT AINT! The Centennial is a total piece of crap so PLEASE don’t purchase this machine as I can promise you will NOT be satisfied! MAYTAG, STEP UP YOUR GAME BECAUSE YOU SUCK.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) in 2012 and one day before my 1 year warranty was up, my start button on the control panel wouldnt work. I called P.C. Richard and they sent a repairman who fixed it. This was in June of 2013. Here I am now hand washing again 1 year and 4 months after the repair. I called P.C. Richard again and was told that all brands have their weak points and because I got it on sale in the first place, I should not feel angry.Now that I am reading the reviews from 5 years ago, I realize that P.C. Richard knew this was an issue and chose not to disclose it or stop selling it. I had my G.E. for 10+ years and will go back to one. As I have no money for another new one, I will try to learn to fix this one on You Tube.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer 3 years ago, thinking I was buying a high quality washer and dryer seeing that it has the Maytag name on it. When it was nine months old, I had to have the complete tub assembly replaced. Now coming upon three years old, I am having similar issues with the machine so I called out a repair service out to see what my options are. Come to find out this time that the shocks that support the tub are bad. All three of them need to be replaced at a price of $455.00. At this point, it is not worth putting the money into it. Maytag, 3 years old and I am having to start shopping for another washer. It will not be a Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in April of 2011 - Ive had four control panels in that time and the panel gone again - in fact, one panel came out of the box nonfunctional (I counted that one as it was installed although the tech removed it when it quickly became apparently that it wasnt working). Ive got a complaint in to Maytag but I have low expectations as to a satisfactory conclusion. What Id like is for Maytag to buy this lemon back from me for around $400 - I paid nearly $600 (including installation). Again, I doubt this will happen. From my research online it appears that the control panel issue is a latent defect which Maytag knows about but either wont or cant figure out how to deal with it or correct it. I have a scan of the receipt which Ill see if I can upload later. I know about one class action lawsuit for CA residents. I wonder if its been expanded.

The lonely salesman in the Maytag commercial for their washing machines says it all. The first Maytag washer we owned we used for 20 years and during that time had only a belt break one time which we replaced and used for a few more years. We then moved to a new home in 2006 and decided to purchase a new Maytag.

It’s the worst washer I have ever encountered! I never have clothes that smell clean. The water seems to never completely spin out, the spin cycle is terrible!!! My whole house shakes when it’s spinning and the noise coming from it is so loud. The time on it is never correct; it will say there is 9 minutes left and then just go to 1 and quit! My clothes have never looked clean with this machine. And yes, I use very good detergents and everything else to try to help with no luck! The dryer just takes forever to dry anything. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase another Maytag again!

I purchased my Neptune Washer in 2005/2006. I had a mildew problem, and the store told me to clean it with bleach. It is now 6 years later, and the ball bearings are going out. I called two different repair companies, and were told by both they would save me the call out charge, because the ball bearings were going out, and it would cost between $ 600-$700 to fix, so I may as well buy a new one. The washer is only 6 years old. This is completely unacceptable! I then tried to find someone online to fix it, and I ran into the fact that the Neptune Washers had a recall. Why was I, not notified? I bought the washer and dryer set from a Maytag store. No one tried to reach me. I am now stuck with the problem of buying a new one, and really cannot afford one at this time. I went with Maytag due to the brand name, and I knew it would be reliable. Is the joke really on me? Can someone please call me, and point me in the right direction?

Just read Ann of Colorados (posting April of 2014) message about her Maytag Bravo washing machine and its like I wrote it myself! Our Bravo started with making a loud noise during the spin cycle which turned into oil or a dark liquid spraying out from under the machine, along with saying UL, so I would adjust the load and get it going again only for it to start the spin and rinse cycle all over too! We have 5 people in our family and cannot afford to not have a working machine. We purchased this machine only a few years back to replace another product that was also a piece of junk. I guess as a last resort I will try a Spin Queen which is American made and hopefully will work! Very disappointed in Maytag. Whatever happened to Machines lasting like they did for our Grandparents?

Maytag MVWB835DW was less than 2 years old (purchased 1-14-16) when it began to fail. Maytag sent repairman out, he declared it beyond repair. Machine locks, washes and adds more and more minutes and cant turn it off without unplugging 5-10+ times... sometime takes a week to get clothes out of machine because of locking itself. I have extended warranty and yet when I try to contact Maytag, to have them honor this, there is eternal wait on phone, online, no help whatsoever. I read via Consumer Affairs that there are almost 3,000 reviews on this specific machine being a problem yet amazingly the Maytag man never responds! I have spent many many hours with no resolution. Amazon says so many reviews have been written about this, that they are unable to take my review because of excessive reviewing.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Automatic Washer 6/28/09. The interior enamel around the bleach dispenser started rusting about six months ago and it’s getting worse. Our white clothes are getting rust stains on them. Otherwise the machine works well, but what a huge flaw. We will buy a new machine, but not a Maytag.

I purchased a new Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWB1 approximately 2yrs ago from Sears. We purchased quite a few new appliances from them and they are always helpful. Within the first year, right after the warranty was up, it stopped working. No lights on the power panel. I called Sears, out of warranty, sorry. Said they would give me a deal on the repair. Sears came out, replaced the computer. $230.00. 6 months later, it stops working again. I go on line to look up these models and sure enough a lot of people are having the same issues. I did some of the checks that they said to do and found my plastic door latch was broken. A little plastic arm that actuates the switches broke. Should have been made of metal. I replace it myself, very easy, by the way. So I figure, in another 8 months it will prob break again. They run anywhere from $19.00-$30.00. 2 days ago power panel and light, not working again. I called Sears and asked them if they were having issues with the power panels that this was the second time in less than 2 years, and if there were any recalls, they said no. I guess they dont follow their reviews, but according to google reviews, its a major problem with most of them. Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amanda. Ordered a new panel today, again they are $141 from Sears but if you shop, you can get a new one for less than $85.00. If you have any kind of mechanical skills, you can replace it in less than 20 mins. It just seems to me that this big companies have let their quality control go and are more concerned about the profit. There should be a recall on these. Do Not buy a Maytag/Whirlpool dishwasher, they are total junk. Sorry Maytag, you lost another customer.

I spent a lot of money for top-of-the-line Maytag. It sanitized and worked to perfection. Delay wash, force wash, grinds everything you could possibly ever want. Fantastic and I can move the racks around. Beautiful. Stainless steel tub. Stainless outside. It has a ribbon cord in the controller. They didnt seal the controller head enough. So the dishwasher stops working after an almost guaranteed 2 yards from the ribbon cord rusting. Well you got to buy another one and it comes as a fill unit at 250 IF you replace it yourself. About 500 for a plumber. And you replace it every 2 years. Maytag is having class actions about it, it knew it has the problem. Its just very profitable to continue having the problem.

Called to schedule service for letters on door to be replaced ice and water completely rubbed off until you didnt know which one you were getting. Refrigerator is less than 10 months old. Also freezer door was hung lower than refrigerator door. Was told nothing could be done. It was a cosmetic issue. Very rude customer service dept and I talked to two separate people and they were both rude and unwilling to help. I can promise you I will never buy any of their appliances again.

We moved into our first house just over two years ago and decided we needed to get a new refrigerator. We did a ton of research online, reading reviews, etc. We found a few not so great complaints regarding Maytag; however, we took our chances. (Note that we live in a house built in the 40s, so the fridge space is small and we needed a fridge size that is smaller than normal. We didnt have many options.) Well, a little less than 12 months later (yes, luckily right before the warranty expired) our ice dispenser stopped working properly. The mini-ice door would not close properly, resulting in a lot of frost in where the ice door was located. (There was so much we couldnt open the freezer door. It would get stuck.) So, we called out the repair guy and he said he had never seen this issue before and basically had to replace the whole flap and parts. Sweet. It was fixed and cost was covered! Well, about 5 months later, it happened again! Ah, they got it fixed yet again. Well, another six months later and after the warranty expired (lucky us), the fridge completely stopped cooling. (And it just happened to be Halloween, not a great day for a house issue.) So, we had to remove all our perishable food and place it in a cooler (which works hundred times better than Maytag products), and move all frozen food to a family members house 15 minutes away (luckily!). We were also super lucky we found a repair company that could come out at 5pm the next day, which happened to be a Friday! Awesome company (Conners Repair in Metro-Detroit). He concluded the defrost board was broken, meaning it was freezing and creating frost and then not defrosting, clogs the vents and not allowing circulation to occur. He was shocked when he found out we only had this fridge for 2 years and said this is something that normally happens in 20-year old fridges. I then decided to call Maytag and nicely requested a refund for the issue. I was told no due to the warranty expiring and also because we didnt use a Maytag repair company. I didnt want to wait a week as I thought this was something that needed immediate attention. I also am not sure why it matters who you get to fix your fridge. I have an invoice for proof of the issue and the repairman even said hed call to verify the issue. I don’t understand why I have to pay for something that was not properly produced, and not to mention the time out of my schedule to deal with Maytags issues. I now know not to buy any Maytag products due to the lack quality. I guess I learned the hard way.

Maytag Bravos Series 300 - I bought this machine less than a year ago. There is an awful smell coming from the machine that I never smelled from any other washer I have owned. The clothes do not look, feel or smell clean, and my towels are ripped. It is an extra large washer, yet when blankets are put in the machine bounces and shifts. After reading all the reviews, it seems I am not alone in my concern with a machine that was not only expensive, but was told it is a great product. Maytag needs to do the right thing and recall this machine.

After one year of service from our Maytag Jetclean Plus Dishwasher with Toughscrub the circuit board went out. I have been seeing and hearing other people complaining about this problem. We purchased this device based in large part on Maytags reputation for reliability. I am not happy with this machine. I will complain to the company and write another review based on the results. I suggest Maytag goes back to the old knobs until they can assemble and protect the circuit board, which I believe was damaged by heat and moisture.

I have trusted Maytag for many years, more than 60 years, my parents and then myself. My Dad always told me I could trust Maytag over any other brand and that has always been true until I bought a new Centennial Econoserve Washer. This is without question the worst machine ever made. I should have asked every question in the book concerning this machine but, oh no, I just trusted the name MAYTAG. I am so sorry. I cant trust it to clean anything that shows it needs cleaning so you have to wonder what does it clean that you cant see. Im sorry people, I just dont know what to do. I cant afford to buy a new machine and the store I purchased are basically telling me, Sorry, you bought a stripped down model. Too bad! I will never buy another appliance from that store nor will I recommend them to anyone. Too bad since they are locally owned. Anyway, Maytag, you blew it badly to turn out this terrible machine. I sent an email to Maytag regarding my Maytag Bravos washer which I purchased two years ago at a cost of $1,100. I have started having problems with the machine last week. I kept getting the UL error code. I called a certified appliance person to come out to find out what was wrong. I do not believe any of the appliance people know what to do for these machines.First, I was told it was the control board that needed to be replaced, then I was told the motor had a crack in it and it needed to be replaced, and then the springs needed to be replaced. So they replaced the springs. This was a Tuesday afternoon. It worked fine until Wednesday of the next week and I started getting the F51 code. Just let me say if you cannot stand behind your parts on a $1,100 washer that is only two years old, then something is very wrong. I am in for $159 on repairs so far. Who knows what the cost will be to finally get the machine repaired.

Not long after the 1 year warranty expired the washer started making noise while agitating. Long story short, the transmission is making the noise and should be replaced. It is a $200+ part. While it is still working ok, Im waiting for it to fail completely. Not good for an expensive washer. I dont think Ill buy Maytag again.

I purchased the Neptune HE pair because they are front loading and can be set on pedestals to raise them to a comfortable working height, plus the brand and reputation are both excellent. I like that the chimes can be adjusted from low to high, or turned off. The front loading washers clean so much better and with a lot less damage to items than washers with center agitators. Looks are secondary, thats for sure. Functions like warm/warm cycles and being able to adjust to whatever load needs to be washed is really most important to me. Any appliances with a good, proven track record of reliability with few repairs is high on my list. Expensive appliances should be made to last and be of durable quality! No cheap plastic or weak-looking welds or components, thank you! Quiet operation and dependable cleaning and drying are top in my book, and this pair has exceeded even my picky expectations in total overall performance. They are 11 years old now and look & function like new! I had one minor repair on the washer at 5 years, and not a single problem since. With front loading washers, its important to keep the door open a little when not in use so that they dont get a musky smell. Ive gotten into the habit of using laundry boosters to help clothes, sheets, and towels smelling fresh longer, and putting a small amount in the washer drum has kept my whole laundry room smelling nice. Purchasing the pedestal drawers to set the washer and dryer on added extra storage to my laundry and its much easier for me to load/unload them at this comfortable height. Im totally spoiled by it now, so when I use someone elses laundry room (when I visit) I am reminded how nice my own setup is.

On Thurs. Sept 25 at noon the alarms and lights started flashing on my refrigerator when I tried to get some water. I called Maytag, told them what was happening and told them to bring a motherboard when they came as nothing was working but the lights and alarms. I was told it was too close to the weekend so they would be out Mon. the 29th and I should just to get some dry ice. They came and the order said nothing about a motherboard, which is what the tech person who came also said it needed. Now they will be here on the 7th of Oct - maybe. 12 days is highly unsatisfactory for refrigerator repair. They had 4 days to see that the provider had a motherboard before the serviceman wasted a trip. Ive spent $102 on dry ice and now Im going to lose the food anyhow. I like the refrigerator but the service is really terrible so I wont be buying another Maytag appliance. The person at the call center ignored my diagnosis and it will be even worse now as over the weekend Maytag switched their call service to India!

Maytag dishwasher model MDBH949AWW - I purchased a dishwasher thinking I was buying the best (laugh is on me). The date of purchase was 1/18/10, the control panel was replaced on 5-25-11 at no charge. On 10-15-12, the control panel failed again so I was forced to hand wash an entire load of dirty dishes. I used the dishwasher once a week. I am debating if it is worth it to repair it or replace it, in light of the fact that it could go out again the next year. Wish I had found this website before I made the purchase.

We have had our Maytag dishwasher MDB9100AWQ only 5 years and now it keeps shutting off. I see there is plenty of this complaint. I will not purchase another Maytag product after reading all these reviews and experiencing it.

BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher mdbh979sab1 on November 23, 2012. It is now July 31, 2014. One year and a half and the control panel is not working. Ive looked at estimates online of $450.00 for parts and labor. Customer service is no help at all, nothing they can do. She actually recommended KitchenAid for our next appliance. Maytag has become a terrible brand. We will never buy from them again. By the way, they also made our Jenn Air Oven, which turned itself on a number of times while we were away. 350 degrees. That was a total loss as well. We are filling up landfills with our Maytag/Whirlpool appliances and you will too.

My original Maytag washer lasted over 25 years (still using dryer purchased in 1977). But the Maytag model SAV 4655AWW I bought a few years ago is a piece of junk! Not long after it was out of warranty, it started making noise. Not overly loud, but noisy. Since then, though it makes such a loud noise, you can hear it 3 rooms away. It leaks water from the seals, shakes and vibrates all over the place (even when level). The rocking appears to be due to pathetic self-leveling legs they put on the back of the washer. I had to put a 2x4 on the back side of the washer to keep it stable. That took care of the rocking, but still noisy, leaking water and now it gets off balance when spinning and stops. It also wont start sometimes and you can smell it overheating. The transmission is now going out of it. This thing has been one issue after another. What is worse about it is I saw in another forum that this washer wasnt even made by Maytag. Supposedly Maytag bought? After the purchase, they just put their name on it. I bought a Maytag because of the dependability of their previous products, so Im thoroughly disappointed in their company and products. If I had wanted a washer built by some other company, I would have purchased it versus theirs. If you purchase a Maytag, you expect to get a product designed and built by them. Ill never buy another Maytag product and Ill thoroughly research the product Ill buy to replace this hunk of junk. My advice would be dont waste your money on Maytag.

My washing machine is 2 1/2 years old. It is not overused, just 2 people in the household. Maytag wanted to sell me a contract for $320, I declined. After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

I have a Maytag washing machine (MDBTT53AWW1). The total cost is $524 for machine plus installation. And the cost of yearly repair on this machine is $300.I purchased this machine a year and 10 months ago in January 2010. A few months ago, the control panel started to only light up partially but the washing machine continued to run. A few days ago, when i tried to turn on the machine, it would not work--the control panel was no longer lighting up. I called a repair man recommended by Lowes, and after explaining the problem over the phone, we scheduled a time for him to come (ten days later was his first available opening!).Ten days later with a broken washing machine and doing all the washing by hand, the repair man came late. When I made the appointment, I was told he would come anytime from 8 to 11 a.m., and of course, he did not show up until almost 1:00 pm. When he finally arrived, all he did was look at the model and determined instantly that the reason our control panel was no longer working was due to a faulty design. This dishwasher allows the steam to escape through a small vent placed to the left of the control panel. The steam inevitably causes a short circuit, meaning that this will be a reoccurring problem every year.He did not dismantle anything and was in my home for no more than 5 minutes. I was told the cost of a new control panel would be $141 plus his labor fee of $137. So all in all, if you purchase a Maytag appliance, the initial cost is irrelevant. If you purchase a Maytag appliance, you will spend almost $300 yearly to maintain it--basically the cost of a brand-new washing machine.Something needs to be done; this is unacceptable. The least Maytag could do is provide all of us, fools who believed in their product and thought that they were of quality, with a free10-year warranty for this faulty machine which is pre-determined to break down every year as a result of their poor design planning.Cost aside, what kind of world are we living in that major appliances are made to last just one year and then are to be thrown in the dump? There is no way I will pay $300 for the next ten years to maintain a product that is made to break. That is wasteful and disastrous for the environment. Shame on you, Maytag. I have had my Maytag refrigerator for eight years and it is best one I have had in fifty years. It is dependable, quiet running and easy to maintain. The ice maker is wonderful; it always has ice ready even on the hottest summer day. If and when I ever need to purchase another refrigerator, I wouldnt hesitate to buy another Maytag!

Purchased our dishwasher 11 months ago from Lowes. Dishwasher has a 10 year warranty on racks and 2 other items. We are 2 adults in the household. Dishwasher is maybe used 4 times a week. Very light use! Circulation pump is bad which also took out the dishwasher solenoid. Im not going to fix because it if only lasts a year again that is a very expensive repair. I PURCHASED A WALL OVEN ABOUT 4 months ago. Used the self cleaning, oven blew fuse and some other part, had to wait for almost 2 weeks for repair because of self cleaning liner is now peeling and leaving fine particles. Maytag said it was ok, they would not replace, the liner doesnt have a replacement part so Im going to have to buy a new oven to feel safe for my family meal.

Maytag Bravos washer MVWB750WQO frame assembly and cabinet rust - I sent letter of internal and external rust issues to Jeff Fettig (Whirlpool CEO) and received no response. Then, I sent letter a second time with an attached signed receipt. Then, I finally received a call from corporate staff member stating they would replace parts but not labor. Labor costs would cost between $350 - $500.00. This is without the initial service call and diagnosis cost between $100 - $125.00. The determined parts list cost would be $700 - 50% for Whirlpool internal cost + shipping be approximately $425.00. This is more than the cost of a new unit or the value of three-year depreciation value of the existing unit. This does not make any financial sense. Whirlpool should provide a new replacement unit at their costs. It has been three months and with no successful outcome. Also, via web research, there are many complaints about Maytag/Whirlpool and I am not the first in regards to rust issue. Therefore, Whirlpool is attempting to limit their financial exposure by only offering parts that they have to agree upon because the labor costs will not support this additional investment in a three-year unit. It makes more financial sense to purchase new or be offered a replacement unit.

I Hate this machine. It does an inferior job and I wish I never bought it. Our Bravos XL washer was purchased in spring. It left white residue constantly on my clothes. Even WORSE, the machine wrinkled the permanent press so the clothes had to be ironed before wearing. (I rarely had this with my last washer). Maytag wall oven Model# MEW7530AB01 - We ordered this oven from Home Depot on Aug. 28/13. It was delivered on Sept.7/13. After a self clean cycle, the oven failed on Sept. 24/13. It was repaired on Oct. 23/13. Parts come from U.S. Im in Canada. Part # W10545255. It hadnt cleaned completely so I used the self clean mode again on Oct. 24/13. Oven failed. Fixed again on Nov. 15/13. Same part. Tested self clean again. Oven failed. Repairman fixed a different part. Thermostat #4449751. Oven still not working, had to order the front fuse again. Part # W10545255. Fixed Nov.19/13. Failed again Nov. 19/13. After not having a working oven for so long, Maytag finally agreed to send a new one. It arrived Dec.5/13. Tried cleaning cycle just to make sure. Oven failed. Same part. Called Maytag, told them I just wanted my money back. They refused. They would only repair. I agreed to have a repairman from another company come out. I told Maytag what part it was. They sent the repairman out on Dec. 19/13 with the wrong part. I called Home Depot a second time. I had called them after I talked to Maytag. This time Home Depot said they would take back the oven once it was repaired and I could have a store credit towards another brand. The repairman fixed the oven on Jan.9/14. Home Depot picked up the oven and replaced it with a GE and I love it.The part failing is a fuse in the top of the oven right at the front. Both repairman noted that a lot of heat is in this area during a self clean. When two ovens are having the same problem, I come to the conclusion that it is a design flaw and should be recalled. I only talked to one person at Maytag who was polite on the phone. That was the woman that got me the new oven. Everyone else was rude and hostile. I was even asked why I would clean a new oven. My experience was not a pleasant one at all. I wont be buying any products made buy the Whirlpool Corp. again.

I have a Maytag front load washer, and it has been flashing codes since day one, smells like mold, does not spin water out, and at first, all Maytag could say is, Im using too much soap, the wrong soap, loading too full, and I have it on a stand that is sold with the washer that they dont recommend, after I paid $300.00 for it. Now, it is flashing an E3 code, and will not finish a cycle at all. Maytag wants money to fix the problem that thousands of consumers have, after paying over $1,000 for the machine. I bought the dishwasher (Model MDB7749AWM) 15 months ago and paid $490.00. I had to put a new console in it ($245.00) on 07/16/2012. So that’s $735.00. Two days ago, the console went out again! Both my washer and dryer are Maytag. Dryer element shorted out but was still under warranty so was fixed. Washer is very loud and now makes a rattling sound. Every so often it will hang in the middle of a cycle and the lid wont open until I unplug it.

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. Add me to the list of people who hate this washing machine. It does not use enough water to get clothes really clean, leaves spots, is hard on clothes and tears them up, and the spin cycle gets unbalanced too easily. It has taken me hours to wash one load with a blanket in it because of the spin problems. I have not been able to restart the spin cycle without starting the wash cycle from the beginning.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator on April 4, 2012. This week, July 12, 2015, my compressor went out. I called repairman and he said the compressor was shot. I thought this refrigerator would last longer than 3 years. I had to go purchase a new refrigerator from Home Depot in Knoxville, TN at a cost of $1,057.95. The refrigerator has been very dependable for over 14 years. The biggest problem we have had is failure of plastic tracks on drawers that break and had to replace drawers and other problems with plastic components like deli drawer coverlet, and door shelf door plastic. Recently we have problems with the touch control panel on front of door. Not working properly for ice dispensing and temp. control although temp is maintaining what we had set prior to failure of control panel.

I purchased my new refrigerator in 2005. Within 3 months, the bottom freezer went out. I had purchased warranty and it was fixed. Again, the fan went out 1 year later with the same exact problem. Now, it went out again 2 years later with the same exact problem. I called Maytag and they do not care. They are rude and simply will not fix this refrigerator. The warranty is gone and again, I have to pay for this constant problem. Why doesnt Maytag own up and service this problem. Didnt we pay for this? It wasnt given to us free. My $1500 2 yr old Maytag mbf2258Dem refrigerator stopped cooling properly (wont freeze). The icemaker was the slowest I have ever had. That may have been the problem when I bought it. The Maytag Repairman came out and said that even with Maytag sending me a new compressor (under warranty) this unit was not worth fixing. I called Maytag and they said sorry there was nothing they would do. So l looked up every review I could find... and this refrigerator is just bad. Not Worth Fixing. So Maytag deceived me. On the front of the door it says 10 year compressor warranty. Thats a big sales feature! They know that they have a problem. This is one bad company!

We purchased a washing machine, top loading washer model MVWC415EW1 on 9/2/2015 and the machine did not work right. 11/2/2015 is stopped working all together. It will not wash the clothes. The repair man says we need a new cold water valve. Maytag says it does not have the part to fix the machine. Period. Now we have a new machine with a 10 year warranty which does us no good as Maytag does not have the parts to fix. So it is back to a laundry mat until we can save enough to buy a new machine from anyone but Maytag .

Bravos gas dryer - three issues in three years. Same issue twice, clothes are not drying. Now I have company coming and have to deal with his issue. The blower motor went. So, I have paid for a new dryer in repairs already. The washer is making such a loud noise when it goes into spin cycle that you have to turn the volume up to the highest level on the TV and it is still tough to hear. It’s unbelievably in the horrible quality. Make the product and parts in the USA and stop buying junk from China and Mexico. This is good American money that is flushed down the toilet with Maytag as well as your reputation. Fix your quality control and do the right thing!

The bottom oven of my Maytag double oven range (serial #MER6765BAS18) caught fire while I was baking there. The coil burnt out and separated. This did not occur due to food spill or other means. The coil was charred. The stove top does not perform adequately and the coils do not heat uniformly.

I bought a Maytag MMV1153BAW Microwave. Within a year, the electronic key pad started cracking from normal use. After two years, the microwave intermittently starts then just stops, with the key pad showing 0000. We must unplug the device, or turn the breaker off and on. I called Maytag about the key pad and they said it wasnt covered, and a replacement key pad cost more than the microwave. After two and a half years, we purchased a new microwave, and have sworn never to buy Maytag again.

Neptune 4000 washer - Worst washer EVER! Two weeks after we bought it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. They replaced the bearing parts. Only cost us 450 in labor. One year later, again the bearing but this time we insisted on full coverage. 6 months later, here we are again! Most expensive washer in the history of washers and this is a KNOWN issue - yet Maytag gets away with it while consumers foot the bill! Ridiculous! Never again will I purchase their product and make dang sure everyone I know stays away too and everyone that hears my washer is in shock that it hasnt injured something or someone. Its only a matter of time!

I have Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7609AWB2. I purchased it from Sears on 5.30.10. It was installed 3 weeks later. From June 2010 through November 2011, the dishwasher has stopped working 3 times, every 6 months, requiring a service call to fix the electrical /circuit board problems. The aggravation of owning a poorly built machine and inconvenience of waiting for Sears to send a repair person has sealed our decision to stop doing business with Sears and Maytag.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

I bought a Maytag washer in Sept. 2018 because the company had a reputation of making quality products that did not need repairs. I was wrong. Because I live alone so at most I washed two loads a week, so the company cannot say it had been overused. After a little more than a year I notice at times the wash cycle took too long. One time I tried the 2 rinse cycle and it would not quit washing. A repairman reset the computer to factory settings (he was at the house repairing a refrigerator) and it worked for a few months trouble free before dying. I will not purchase another Whirlpool product since the company did not stand by its product.

Bought the pair of Maytags on sale at Lowes 6 years ago. They are commercial grade and wash everything. Have had no issues - works every time. It took a while to get used to not have an agitator but now it seems natural. Would buy again.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos washer approx. 2.5 years ago. I cannot even begin to describe how disgusted I am with this washer. My clothes i.e. towels come out ripped on the edges, clothes do not get clean, shirts etc come out wrinkled no matter what setting used. It is not energy efficient because loads of laundry need to be washed twice if they are soiled (like our everyday jeans). Went back to the independent store where I purchased washer and was told to use only the bulky or gentle/delicates cycles to reduce rips in clothing. Such a complete waste of money, and it was not cheap!

I just bought this piece of junk... Like everyone else I guess I didnt do enough research! I have had this washer for less than 3 weeks and just like everyone else I am so disappointed in how it tries to wash without water! I too have tried different settings. I had to wash a load 3 times... pausing it while trying to get the rest of the items wet. Its ridiculous... of course now to try and see if I can return it! Yah right... Home Depot does not have a good return policy and Im afraid I will be out 800+ with this washer. This is ridiculous! It really is.

Purchased my microwave in 2005 and seldom used it. However in the last few months, the halogen light which lights up the range surface has been flickering. When I asked an electrician doing other work around my house to repair it, he discovered that the halogen light is attached with a dual pin socket which is plastic. When the halogen light gets overheated (and halogen produces alight of heat) it melts the plastic. It has already melted some of the plastic socket. When it fails to operate, I will have to repair the light socket which will be very expensive or buy a new microwave. This microwave cost $800 or more because it offered convection cooking which I have seldom used.This is what is presumed quality appliance? Plus I added the cost of an extended warranty.

Bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot about 2 years ago. Like everyone else we are having leaking problems from the freezer drawers. I wonder if anyone has had it repaired and whether it was repaired

In my owners manual, the description to replace the oven light shows a simple process of removing a glass bulb cover within the oven itself and then unscrewing the ordinary looking light bulb. However, Maytag made a design change and now uses a complete unit that combines the bulb, the glass cover and the bulb holder. This requires you to pull the stove out from the wall, open up the back of the oven, bend some retaining tabs around the light unit and then remove the whole unit.The killer is, Maytag has made this disgusting, usurious design change in order to force you to pay over $50 US plus taxes and shipping for the replacement unit, instead of $6 CDN ($4.50 US) for a light bulb that you can buy anywhere and can easily change yourself in a couple of minutes within the oven itself. But now you will probably have to call in a repair guy to make this replacement for you. When manufacturers start doing things like that, its time to stop buying their products. I will certainly never use Maytag again, and Ill make sure any other oven manufacturer Ill consider is not doing anything similar.

I bought a Maytag Bravos washer in March 2015. Over the summer I had two items, both cotton t-shirts come out of the washer badly stretched and torn. Other items have come out badly stretched, but not destroyed. After the second shirt was destroyed, I called Maytag (Sept. 2015). A young man was sent over. He ran the diagnostic, finding nothing wrong. He did not check the agitator. He reported back that it must be the way I loaded the machine. I use the Normal and Active Wear settings, leaving the center clear. My loads are very small. Under these conditions items should not get caught. Maytag stands by their claim that it is my fault. I only figured out what was actually happening when I saw an item caught.

Leaking water and puddles in front (each side) of refrigerator. Purchased from Home Depot on 12-20-2011... After doing a search on the internet I found that this is a common problem with the Maytag refrigerator. This model is a two door with ice maker on left door and freezer on bottom of unit. Looks like Maytag does not want to be bothered with my problem. Model #MF12569YEW. It certainly was not an inexpensive model. Whatever happened to the Maytag repairman who was never needed because the Maytag products were so great???Updated on 03/21/2015This is not the first time this Maytag product had problems. Expensive piece of junk in my book! First, as many consumers have experienced there was water leaking in front of the refrigerator onto our hardwood floor. Now the door gasket seal ripped on the end tabs. What happened to Maytag?

Have a Maytag refrigerator, less than 2 years old. Water is leaking from top of the inside of the refrigerator, presumably related to water dispenser, unrelated to filter, and dispenser still functions. In shock, Ill have to pay an additional $347.00 to Maytag for an additional warranty if I want them to remedy this!!! Model # MFT2672AEM10. Buyer beware! Upset that such a new refrigerator would have problems - more upset that the company is making no efforts to make it right without charging more. The refrigerator was not cheap in first place. Also the time spent to have someone come out... Maytag advertises repairman boredom.... Never had another problem with other appliances unless they were much older!!!

I bought my Maytag dishwasher on September 4, 2013. In August 2014 the control panel went out. (Sound familiar?) The dishwasher was still under warranty, so I called Maytag. It took 3 tries to find a repair person who would come out on my schedule. (Im a teacher and cant take time off.) They installed the new control panel, and it working. I tried to submit a review on Maytags website, but my review was denied. I guess they didnt want to hear the truth.

We currently have had our Maytag washing machine for approximately 15 years. The first thing we noticed was how user friendly it was. Also, the options that came with our washing machine met all of our needs. The second thing that we were excited about was how quiet it was. Our previous washing machine could be heard at the back of the house and was constantly out of balance. The third thing we noticed was how much cleaner our clothes were. Our clothes smelled better and had less wear thus saving us money. Speaking of which, the machine is an energy saver. One of the most significant attributes I can attest to is how reliable it is. There has never been an issue that required repair services. I am sure our Maytag will be in service for years to come. c

We have had the oven, a Maytag Gemini Double Oven model mgt8775xs02, for 3 weeks now and I am so upset. First off, I became violently sick from the oven when we first used it. I had a horrible headache and then nauseousness and then the worst stomach problems I have ever had. The toxic smells coming from the oven were too much for me. We had every window open. I looked online and found other people who reacted the same way to their new oven smell. But now we are on the 4th time using the oven. We did a self-clean and I thought that would help but no, it smells like someone is pouring gasoline into my home. I smelled it in pockets throughout my house. I have had the gas company out twice and a repairman. They all cannot figure out the problem. I looked online to see if other people were having a gas problem from this model and I am not finding it. It is horrible. I feel like I am being poisoned. I have not had a working oven in 2 and half years and I was so excited to get this oven and now my new oven is making me so sick. I am not sure what to do from here.

In October of 2012 we bought a Maytag Refrigerator Model MFF2258VEM. In the spring and summer of 2014, we noticed puddling on our kitchen floor. We thought it was our dishwasher or sink since the $1800+ fridge was new, but couldnt find the problem. We travel a lot and are gone for extended periods. When we returned in winter of 2014, we discovered that there was substantial puddling and found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment. We did research and found that this is a common problem with all the bottom-freezer Maytag models, which then leak. We discovered that the leak had seeped into our kitchen sub-floor and was destroying all of our kitchen floor tile, causing cracking and breaking, a renovation of just a few years previous that cost a lot of money. There was NO problem with the floor until we put in this Maytag refrigerator. The remedy for the leaking is constant maintenance and a lot of work, totally ridiculous for a product that costs so much. I want to sue Maytag for both replacement of the refrigerator and the cost of replacement of my tile floor. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

When my house burned in 1995 I purchased all Maytag appliances when we rebuilt because I had good performance from them up to then. My washer and dryer even made it through the fire and are still going now 14 years after the fire. They are 34 years old. The other appliances I purchased were a chest freezer, dishwasher, stove, and, a refrigerator totaling around $2,000, a pretty sum in 95. I have nothing but good to say about the freezer and the dishwasher, however, the refrigerator and stove stick me in the side every time I look at them. I purchased a smaller refrigerator than I had planned because I was PROMISED that the refrigerator was designed to hold the milk in the door. The first thing that happened when I opened my brand new refrigerator was the shelf holder broke and the milk fell to the floor making an awful mess. They ordered the shelf holder assuring me it was a fluke and sent me on my unhappy way. After I got the part I installed it and crack-smash-pow-swoosh! It happened again! I called the store I purchased it from and they said they ordered extras so to come in and get them, that I had probably installed it wrong. Went like this and I finally told him like I told him at first I do no want this refrigerator! You said and the pamphlet says it is capable of holding a gallon of milk in the door. It does not. It cant even hold catsup bottles without breaking. Thats when he told me that yes, they were having an issue with this refrigerators door shelves. He then gave me the rest of the shelf ends he had and said after that they were gone, they had discontinued them. Also said I was past the days to trade my refrigerator. I told him that was because he kept stalling me, ordering parts. LEMONS AND LIES. Now the refrigerator sits in my laundry room, freezes food in either section on its own whim, and the shelves are held on with DUCT TAPE. I have multiple correspondence with the company but gave up as I was seriously hurt in a vehicle accident and had to put my energies to surgeries and healing. And dont get me started about the stove. I will not be buying Maytag anymore.

Updated on 01/21/2019: I have contacted Maytag numerous times with no results. I purchased a washer and dryer on 2/7/2018 and the dryer takes hours to dry my clothes. I contacted them 2 months after my purchase and then waited and contacted again and again. I have contacted them numerous time with nobody contacting me back. I want a complete full refund in the amount of $1031.06! I want to purchase another washer and dryer from someone else and purchase both so they match.Original Review: Maytag MCT Dryer - The washer I purchase is great but the dryer doesnt dry worth anything. Dont buy it. Takes me hours to dry one load and the only reason I purchased this was because my old dryer was drying less but actually was better than this one. The time sensored dryer isnt worth 5 cents. So disappointed! I have had it 2 months, paid cash at Lowes and so unhappy!

Really havent had any problems. The Maytag repairman really is lonely. Great quality wash machines and dryers for that matter. I havent had to do anything. Spins well... Very quiet, no complaints. Dryer works well too. Many cycles area to put fabric softener and bleach. It has a extra extraction cycle and many other features.

350.00 dollars for repair on a 3 1/2 year old washing machine. Machine wont finish spinning and lid lock keeps flashing on and off and sometimes stays off. Never finishes spinning. A lot of complaints on this! This should be recalled! Always was a Maytag customer but no more!

I purchased this set 2/15/2014 and have never been more disappointed with a product! The washer is top loading high efficiency and there is NO water level for different sizes of loads. If I add two small items or a load of towels the water level is the same and the larger loads do not get clean, I can only run very small loads of clothes and sometimes even those do not get cleaned. I have seen soap on some items because there was not enough water to rinse it all out - and I measure the soap very carefully. Additionally, when using bleach for whites it stays in the washer even after running a second rinse with the tub empty to clean it out. I have ruined a lot of items due to bleach stains. And shortly after getting the washer something came loose and it rattles every time it spins making it very noisy. I am seriously considering selling this set with a huge loss and purchasing another washer so that I will not ruin anymore clothes and to be sure my clothes get cleaned. I have had the set for 8 months and will never recommend this product to anyone.The dryer has its issue as well. It shuts off before the clothes are dry every time I try to dry a load and sometimes 5 minutes or less after I start it. I have to use the timer all the time because the auto settings shut off while the clothes are wet. Additionally, I have to run most loads for 2-3 cycles to get the clothes dry. My reliable old dryer of almost 20 years dried my clothes perfectly with the auto time settings and was a far superior dryer than this one.

This range and oven get unsafe, very hot on the surface and sides. Also, first time we used the oven, our oven mitts and bbq tools caught fire in the storage drawer.

We bought all new appliances for our remodel. I wish I could return this dishwasher. It has a problem with the door staying closed. I added images of how we are able to make it work. A service person is coming by tomorrow to put a new latch on it (I read several reviews saying the latch is messed up). So I made sure the service person is coming with the part. I called Home Depot when the problem started (used for up to 5 washes or so). And Home Depot wont return it! I called Maytag and they tried selling me an extended warranty and I asked what about the 10 year warranty the machine is supposed to come with? I guess thats a joke as the lady told me I should of read the fine print. So buyers beware! I wish I would of know about Maytag. I would have about a Samsung instead!!!
