If I could give less than one star I would. I purchased a Maytag range in September 2021, 33 days later the oven went out!! I have been fighting trying to get it repaired for months!!! The parts are not in, the parts have been shipped, oops we forgot to ship the parts, the technician is on vacation. You name it, I have heard it. After the phone call today, it looks like I will still be without a range at Christmas!! This is totally unacceptable. I purchased a Maytag because I assumed it was a good brand! Do yourself a favor... Never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool Appliance. Its not worth it. For the range to only work for 32 days is just plain Wrong....

In 2006, my wife and I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator, the model type with the freezer in a drawer near the floor and the drawer is under the main door of the fridge. The thing has a sealed system and has a freon leak which makes it nearly impossible and not financially prudent to try to fix. Two repairmen were out and I spent $200 for them to tell me the same bad news. Its unbelievable that this junk wouldnt even last ten years. What is this, Russia? Ive heard some of their awful appliance experience stories and now this can join them. The reliable Maytag repairman who never has anything to - you know the one. He is probably dead. Hes not really the one to blame here though, it is the reliability of Maytag that is dead and will remain so for as long as this company is alive. Dont ever trust or buy Maytag if you care about making your investment in new appliances last! Dont do it, people!

Maytag bravo - thought it would be a good brand/buy/new technology. Absolutely nothing to like. Complete junk. Bought it in June 2013. Doesnt get things clean and takes a long time to not do that. We thought a good reputation from a major brand would mean a durable efficient washer with a reasonable capacity and good features. Unfortunately we didnt know when we bought it what a bad design/investment it was. It has destroyed numerous garments with fraying and doesnt rinse soap or dirt out because it doesnt use any water.The bravo from Maytag is supposed to be low water efficient. Unfortunately, it doesnt use enough water to wash clothes, no matter how little or how much HE soap you use. It frays clothes, leaves soap residue, wont wash jackets or blankets or bulky things, takes forever to NOT get things clean, doesnt get heavy stains or mud out, the list goes on and on.... oh, and its expensive, and breaks down a lot. I cannot believe that there has not been a government recall where the people who were unfortunate enough to buy one have been given a large amount of money back.

My 14 month old Refrigerator made a popping noise and quit working. I called Maytag and I had to pay $299.00 for a Service Plan so the repairs would be covered under a warranty and A&E Factory Service came out to do the repair. The repairman told me the Circuit Board and Compressor were melted and he was surprised it didnt cause a fire. The repairman had to get authorization to order the parts for this repair because they were so expensive and he is not even sure if the repair will fix the refrigerator. It is going to take 2 weeks for the parts to come in which means I will be without a refrigerator for a total of 3 weeks and were not sure if this will fix the problem. I am being told by Assurance (the warranty company) that they have to replace the parts 3 times before they will replace the refrigerator. I asked them, Exactly how long do you expect me to go without a refrigerator before I get mine fixed or replaced? When I called customer service and spoke to Brittany she gave me her standard robotic answers. I asked to speak to a manager and she sent me to the never-ending hold zone. I called back and non manager was available but they took my name and number and assured me that someone would call me back. I am still waiting for that call.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!

I purchased a Maytag quiet series dishwasher (Model Number: MDB6759AWW) for $500.00 in May 2009. Three months later, I started experiencing difficulty with the control panel. One light would continue to blink and it would not do anything else. I called to have it repaired but by the time he was to come out, it started working again only to stop working again the next week. On 7 Oct 09, the repairman came out and replaced the panel. Then, about six months later, it stopped working again. I called again but canceled the appointment because it started working again. Then, after having it for one year, it stopped working again and I called only to be told that it was no longer under warranty. Now, we cant get the control panel to do anything. From all the other similar complaints I have read, it seems like there is a defect with the control panel. A dishwasher should last for more than one to two years. This is very frustrating.

My wife and I bought a Maytag Bravos at the suggestion of a store employee at Lowes. Since we have owned it, I have seen the reviews and the washer has been a total let down. We have experienced all the same complaints. Loud noise, door lock not working, not enough water in the drum to wash clothes, and the bearings going out and it doesnt work. NEVER will we buy a MAYTAG again. To the scrap yard I go today. Thanks MAYTAG for wasting my money. Thanks LOWES for recommending this garbage.

I purchased a Bravo 300 MVWB400VQ in 2009. I knew in 6 months that I had made a huge mistake. The clothes began coming out soaking wet - the dark clothes have lint, pet hair, and rings on them. The large capacity drum is just that... a big drum. If I wash bedding in it, it becomes off balance and sounds like its fallen over. I have used only HE detergents, and I wash the washer (yes, wash the washer, does that tell you anything?) before the light comes on. Now the machine sounds like its full of loose parts or rocks in it when it begins to fill up. Its even worse when the water starts to pump out. Now that Ive read all the other complaints, I realize that Im doomed. All of these trusting people have been cheated out of nearly a thousand dollars for a piece of junk. What good is Consumer Affairs if there is nothing done when there are so many complaints? I will join any lawsuit against Maytag if ever there is one. This is another lemon that promised everything and delivered nothing.

I have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator that is about 4 years old. It started leaking and continued to get worse fast... It appears that the gasket around the freezer drawer does not seal about half way up. It causes a sheet of ice inside the freezer, so I am not sure if it leaks due to the ice defrosting. The refrigerator doors do not seem as if they shut tight either. After reading many of these comments about Maytag refrigerators, I am not sure at this point if it might be better to buy a new one rather than fix this one??? I looked for a recall and do not see one. Clearly this is a defective appliance.

Maytag Bravos Series 300 - I bought this machine less than a year ago. There is an awful smell coming from the machine that I never smelled from any other washer I have owned. The clothes do not look, feel or smell clean, and my towels are ripped. It is an extra large washer, yet when blankets are put in the machine bounces and shifts. After reading all the reviews, it seems I am not alone in my concern with a machine that was not only expensive, but was told it is a great product. Maytag needs to do the right thing and recall this machine.

Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. They explained it should be filled only a quarter of the way. What??? Do not purchase this machine.

Purchased a Maytag Bravos top loading washing machine in Sept. 2015. First time we used it the machine vibrated enough to shake the walls. We thought the balance was off. Called Lowes (installers) and they came out and said it was level. There was something fishy about the grinding type noise it made. Also noticed that in spite of all the noise that the clothes essentially stayed in the same spot while the basket moved. Sometimes the clothes on top never got completely wet or rotated through the wash water. Called Lowes again and they looked at the machine and said it needed replaced. But the 90 time period for replacement had passed. Lowes said it would be repaired. A technician came and replaced the basket, saying it might have been out of round. He left, we used the washing machine and it was worse. He came back an hour later and talked with Whirlpool and they said there might be something wrong with a gear. Hes going to replace the gearbox sometime. Meanwhile we are stuck with a washer that makes a lot of noise, vibrates terribly and doesnt appear to do much washing. If noise equated to cleanliness then it would be fantastic. But had we known about the noise or the many complaints we would never have made this purchase. Whatever happened to Maytag quality? Bet that Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.

Used my washer ONE time and when the load was done my clothes were soaking wet. Tried to get the clothes to spin dry but the washer would not work. Called for repair. They replaced the activator. I did one load of laundry. It worked fine. Did a second load of laundry and the clothes were soaking wet. The washer would not do anything else.

Within the first 2 years, the dryer stopped heating. After a $300, a few parts and a few attempts to repair the dryer worked again. The sensor still kept saying check the vent and we gave up and removed the outside vent cover. Works great now. The washer worked great until year 4 when it began to sound like a helicopter. It got so bad that it literally hurt my ears and could be heard outside. It also leaked. Called repairman and they couldnt even remove the drum because it had rusted solid. After a total of 4 years we are replacing the set. Do not WASTE your money!

Bravos XL MCT model#MVWB835DW. Bought this new. After 2 weeks called Maytag. Washing machine did not work. I called off and on for 7 months to Maytag customer service. During this time they tried to do troubleshooting over the phone. Sent technician out. He said that there was problems with this model, that they were working on updates and would get back to me. 10 months after installation, technician came out. Washing machine worked, but still took 2 to 3 hours to wash one load of clothes. Started calling Maytag again. Washer now take 3 to 5 hours to wash load of clothes. You also have to do extra spin cycles (1 to 9 times) to get water out. A year later they send technician out. He tells me that this machine wasnt made to do loads larger than medium, that it cannot wash heavy items such as sweaters, sweatshirts, towels, blankets or comforters. That the normal cycle is not to be used. This is not a working function on this model. It is there because of regulations. Called back to Maytag. They said it was out of warranty and that there was nothing that they could do.

After less than two years the commercial washer we purchased from Lowe’s died. A repairman came out after a week and said it potentially needs a new control unit or computer. The control unit is on back order and we’ve been without a washer for a total of three weeks. The situation still remains unresolved and I’m regretting not going back to Samsung. After 9 years with a Samsung washer, it died and Samsung refunded the full price of the washer. It was a poor choice to choose American. :(

The bottom oven of my Maytag double oven range (serial #MER6765BAS18) caught fire while I was baking there. The coil burnt out and separated. This did not occur due to food spill or other means. The coil was charred. The stove top does not perform adequately and the coils do not heat uniformly.

My 16-month old dishwasher, which is not being used everyday, broke its control panel. Maytag will not fix it for free because they only back it for one year. This is a major appliance, shouldnt it last more than 16 months? The cost to repair is almost as much as a new dishwasher.

Dishwasher model: MDBH949AWW3. Gradually over a months time lost its control functions and its status display. Ten days ago the last button to fail was the start button and the dishwasher stopped working. Maytag confirmed over the phone that there was no recall on this model. The part costs $190 and is out of stock till end of October 2013. I opened the dishwasher and took a closer look at the keypad. It has the cheapest touch buttons I ever seen. Maytag had provided at purchase time a user guide and a large sheet with a sketchy incomplete drawing (W10142800C) for service use only. I made my own schematics and I built my own keypad for less than $50. You may notice that the info I have on my attached schematics is missing from Maytag/Whirlpool incomplete drawing. My keypad is working fine and will outlast all the remaining parts in that dishwasher. I wish there is an angry lawyer out there with a bad dishwasher like mine that will use this info to sue Maytag. Please give the schematics to any user having troubles with this lousy touch pad.

Bought a Maytag Washer, in 2010 the Bravo. Good looking washer and dryer. I bought a 4 yr warranty for both. My washer has needed service every yr of the warranty, leaks and has stopped running. Now it is out of warranty and it is leaking again. Was just fixed a little over a year ago. I am now seeing a lot of rust around the top of the washer. It has just about covered the one port where you put the bleach in. The seam around the top in the crease is full of rust. My dryer is fine, bought them both at the same time. I have never seen this on a washer before. My mom has had her Maytag for yrs no problem. I bought these thinking they would last, boy was I wrong.

Had the washer for less than 3 months just a week before the 90 warranty was up and it stopped spinning. Called service dept. What a joke for this company that keep yessing you. Took a week before someone came out. Said washer needed a new motherboard and they would only cover it once but there seems to be a ongoing issue with their motherboard. Had to wait over 2 1/2 weeks before they would have one in stock. The tech installed it however now when it spins seems she left the top loose.

Dont ever buy this washing machine. After warranty was up, the motherboard went. After that, the pump went. Now, the machine has been shaking and we have to realign the clothes in the washer on an average of 6 times before it completes the cycle. The banging is nerve-racking! Never again buying Maytag!

I purchase my Maytag Bravos washer from Sears in May 2011. In February of 2014, I started to get the UL message, meaning unbalanced load. I would re distribute the clothes and sometimes that did the trick and others not so much. Now every load comes up UL. I tried putting the machine on the drain and spin cycle to at least get the clothes a little bit drier but the UL message still appears and the clothes are still soaking wet. I lifted the washer up and there is an oil/grease type spin pattern under the washing machine. I called Maytag today (which is now Whirlpool I guess) as the washer has a 10 year warranty on the drum and motor. I was told a service call is $129. When I mentioned that I had Googled the product and saw many reviews with the same exact problem, she stated the Bravos has no common complaints. From what Ive read, it seems to me it would be more cost effective to go out and buy a new washing machine and it obviously wont be another Maytag or Whirlpool.

TRASH! Bad, Destructive, Dangerous. I am in awe of the worthless, destructiveness of this machine. This washing machine does not add enough water to even cover clothing. It agitates, tangles & tears clothing. You end up with dirty filthy tangled clothing. And this is after waiting for it to make some kind of idiot decision as to whether or not to wash your clothes at all. I frequently go out and it’s made a decision not to start at all. There also is no lint filter, so subsequent loads of laundry are dirtier than the first. You can’t wash clothes without enough water to cover them. I read online that it adds water depending on the weight of the clothing, so wet the clothing first to make it think it’s a heavier load. When you do that it spins the clothes first before it begins to wash them. Your clothes still come out of the machine dirty. If you’re looking for revenge, make someone a gift of this washing machine. Otherwise, put it out with the trash.

Model #MFI2670XEM0, Maytag fridge top French doors, bottom freezer. Purchased fridge in May 2011 from Lowes, with a matching microwave. A couple months ago, I noticed puddle of water on wood floor in front of fridge, so I opened freezer to find ice on bottom with a sheet of fresh water on top. Call to Maytag was useless, also tried to sell us warranty. Guess that $300+ warranty would cover one year, so after the warranty runs out, would we have to buy another when it plugs again. Our kitchen floor is ruined, and the warping is coming close to our dining room. Googled problem online to see if there was an easy fix since it was out of warranty. I tried to defrost as described online, only to have it leaking again a couple weeks later. Will never buy a Maytag again. Guess that repairman in commercial is never busy because Maytag wont stand behind their products.

My washer is just past warranty and making horrible sounds! I have always liked Maytag but their quality is bad. I wish I had read reviews before purchasing my washer and want to tell anyone reading this to NOT buy one. My last Frigidaire washer lasted 15 years with minimal repair. Shame on you Maytag!!!

I purchased a washer & dryer from Lowes on December 3rd. On February 20th, my washer stopped filling up. I called customer service and had someone come out a few days later. The repairman said the sensor broke & it would take 10 days for part to come in. After 2 weeks, I tried calling repair company and they would not answer phone for Maytag, or me. Maytag called another service provider, and it will be another week before part comes in. Never could get in touch with anyone who was helpful! Now it’s been a month, and still not fixed!

I really like the refrigerator. Its easy to maneuver and frost-free, but I should have gotten the side by side. Also, make sure of your family size before you make final decision. Other than the size I would recommend to family and friends to purchase.

Purchased the Maytag Bravo Nov 2010 and had to replace it after just 5 years. In the five years we owned it, it required a new water pump and the stabilizers had to be repaired. Its motor burned up and I was not able to find a replacement. I was quoted $224 (parts only) for a replacement motor and 10 weeks delivery. My wife never liked the machine as it was not able to clean clothes that well. We did not find much difference in any of the settings. We tended to put very few clothes in each load in order to get them clean. We were dissatisfied that it did not have a soak cycle and the lid lock was particularly annoying.

Had this model MDB7749SBM1 for almost 3 years and paid over $700 for it. Thought I was purchasing a good machines. The last few months the control panel pops out and away from the front door panel. Do get it back. You have to unscrew the panel from the door. Inside is all plastic and broken. How can it be broken when it is an area never touched. Every time you open the door after a wash it pops out again. To get it repaired will cost too much. It is a badly designed unit which should have a latch instead of just pulling out.I am so disappointed and will think twice before buying Maytag. I have never had luck with any Maytag dishwasher lasting. At this point I dont know whether to just buy another brand or glue it. We are not keeping our home so I dont want to invest money. Awful machine and I see it is discontinued so there are a lot of complaints. Thanks for sticking us Maytag.

After 18 months of use Our Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) has the same control panel problem as a lot of other user complaints. I wish I too had read the consumer reviews before my purchase. We will never buy another Whirlpool product!!

Always have bought Maytag. 16 years on both washer and dryer. The newer models, which I dont have, locks the top of the washer after it starts. I would hate that. I dont care if they are stackable but I would want full size. I dont think I would pay extra for a front loader, but the only front loading washer I have ever owned is small and at our camp.

This is a Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW. This machine has been repaired a couple of times already and it has a will of its own. When it goes into that fast spin cycle that will kicks in and it starts moving. I wonder if someday its going to attack me. So, last Friday night we put a load in and it went into that fast spin cycle. It was making a noise like an elephant in labor so I looked in the laundry room.... Clouds of smoke were billowing out of the top of the machine. Our house will filling up with washing machine smoke! My husband stopped it, but I think it was a gnats hair close to bursting into flames. He looked into the front of the machine when the smoke dissipated and the entire gasket was in shreds. No more Maytag. Never. Im done.

So far, so very good. This is the first time owning/using an electric oven. I just love my Maytag. It was affordable, especially since it was a combo sale with the over-head matching microwave from Home Depot. Two years later and it's as if I just purchased it. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

We bought the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer combo from box store. I wanted an extra large capacity washer to accommodate king sized bedding, and having fewer wash loads in general. Cons: 1 - This machine is not energy efficient when each wash load takes 1:30 to 1:50 each load. 2 - The detergent/fabric softener/oxi dispensers are a joke. Water dumps into every compartment at once. And if there’s still detergent left by the rinse cycle, well you get the picture.3 - The “Bedding” setting is the only one which will provide enough water in the tub to get anything wet. Since there isn’t any type of agitator the clothing/bedding just floats on the surface in dirty perfumed water. 4 - With any of the other settings the water level is so low it doesn’t always get everything wet so items are not being washed properly. At most maybe 2 pairs of jeans or just a few t-shirts can be washed on the “Normal” or “Power Wash” settings. 5 - Because there isn’t an agitator, clothing gets knotted up. Dress shirts, dress pants, jeans, towels, you name it, everything comes out of the washer in a knotted mess.The Bravos XL Dryer: My only complaint with the dryer is that it allows a good amount of lint to pass through into the machine. Then it’s difficult to get any type of lint brush into the vent area to remove the lint. Dampened lint in the machine can make clothing smell musty and nasty. I had to call a service to remove lint from the dryer & ducting because of the odor lingering from the inside the dryer.

Not only does dryer come with missing parts and are told by Maytag 1 to 2 weeks for delivery or drive 25 miles to pick up one. You do not qualify for rebate even though you do not receive washer and dryer for 5 days after rebate starts. Should have kept my old GE was faster and got clothes cleaner. Was looking at a Maytag refrigerator not anymore with their service.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos from Lowes in early 2014. A few weeks after the motherboard fried and Lowes replaced it with a new one. Within my 1 year warranty the new machine had another fried motherboard. Maytag replaced it for free. Now less than a year later the motherboard is fried again. Needless to say I just purchased another washing machine. Definitely not a Maytag. Now I just have to deal with a dysfunctional piece a junk for a few days until I get my new one. After reading all the complaints on here and other sites, Im very disappointed with Maytag. These machines are obviously lemons and any good company should recall them. Mine will be going straight to the junkyard. I have no interest in having a washer that breaks down every 10 months. Definitely the last thing I will ever purchase from Maytag.

On Thurs. Sept 25 at noon the alarms and lights started flashing on my refrigerator when I tried to get some water. I called Maytag, told them what was happening and told them to bring a motherboard when they came as nothing was working but the lights and alarms. I was told it was too close to the weekend so they would be out Mon. the 29th and I should just to get some dry ice. They came and the order said nothing about a motherboard, which is what the tech person who came also said it needed. Now they will be here on the 7th of Oct - maybe. 12 days is highly unsatisfactory for refrigerator repair. They had 4 days to see that the provider had a motherboard before the serviceman wasted a trip. Ive spent $102 on dry ice and now Im going to lose the food anyhow. I like the refrigerator but the service is really terrible so I wont be buying another Maytag appliance. The person at the call center ignored my diagnosis and it will be even worse now as over the weekend Maytag switched their call service to India!

My Maytag MDB7749SAW0 Dishwasher starting acting up after around the first year. The lights on the Control Panel began to flash uncontrollably and it will run all day while I am at work. I called Maytag and they were nice but did not repair it because the warranty just ran out. The person on the phone said that it is a common problem with knob-less dishwashers, the humidity causes problems with the control panel. The cost to repair was over $300 to replace the control panel.

13 months after purchasing my Maytag dishwasher, it started operating by itself. I woke up one morning around 2:00 to it working, and I know I didnt put it on! I only use the auto clean cycle (that decides how dirty the dishes are, and is the cycle you use to conserve water). I dont use heat dry at all. Anyway, now I go to use the dishwasher and even though I press the auto clean button, the normal/heat dry/delay start buttons flash on. I try canceling this cycle out; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I dont see Maytag as reliable anymore.

We bought a Maytag Gemini double oven in June 2007. It has been a problem from day one. It arrived with a damaged door. They reordered and replaced it. Through the next few months, I became very discouraged with the oven. I bake a good bit and was always used to an oven with fairly accurate temperature. This oven will not reach or sometimes just wont maintain a steady temperature. After a couple of service calls, I gave up. I now raise the temperature setting about 50-75 degrees higher that the recipe requires. Naturally, I dont always get the best results. However, that isnt the thing that really bothers me. These ovens have three ignitors. About every six months, one breaks. The cost is over $200.00 each time. The ovens/broiler are highly unreliable. After mixing up something or on an important holiday, one may find that the oven wont light. Theres no warning! It is simply gone. I will never again buy a Maytag! I called Maytag and questioned them about the lemon law. I was told that the same piece had to break three times in one year. That is crazy, when the entire thing doesnt and has never worked well.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher MDB7609AWS2 in October of 2010. It first stopped working about 2 years ago. Since it was only 2 years old, we were disgusted and decided to let it sit and do dishes by hand. About 2 months after it had stopped, we tried it on a fluke and it worked. It stayed working for about 2 years. It finally stopped again, so we did the same thing, just let it sit. Every once in a while we try it to see if it works. It just recently started working again. We are wondering, what is up with this. We are not sure why or how the sitting works, and it is ridiculous that you have to have an appliance that you cant use periodically. We were too stubborn to have it fixed or buy a new one at this level of newness. We will get by in this manner for at least another few years, so as not to have lost all of our investment in a dishwasher, but we have sworn off Maytag appliances forever.

I bought a new Maytag refrigerator on July 2, 2011. The ice continues to drop after removing your glass. Now you must pick the ice from the floor. Maytag said it has a 10 second delay and will continue to drop ice. Im tired of picking up ice and wiping water from the floor. Who wants a product that leaves a mess?

My washer has always had an odor, and I clean the gasket. It gets mold on the gasket and smells horrible! Now for my dryer, it has 3 baffles inside that helps turn and fluff the clothes, and 2 of mine have broke off. And that results in clothes that look like they have been in the dryer for weeks. And I take them out as soon as they are done drying.

I had a stroke last year in August and my children got together and bought me a washer. And after the third use this thing started messing up and I had to call in someone. Now the warranty is up and I am sitting here with a new broken down machine.

I have an MFD2560HEB refrigerator that I purchased 6 years ago. I paid a premium price for what I thought was a quality product. It has had issues with the ice maker from the beginning, yet I was always able to get it fixed with unplugging the unit for a while. The fan inside the unit stopped working last year. I took apart the entire inside to replace it, and now, 4 months later, the water is completely frozen. Unfortunately, I purchased a Maytag induction stove in May and less than a month later, it is not working either. Maytag quality is not! I asked if I could return the stove, but was told I had to let them fix it. Im still waiting to use my $2,000 stove!

Washer was delivered Feb 2016. (First one delivered Jan 2016 with damage.) Home Depot HEAVILY promoted this model - we paid $600+. This washer has NEVER thoroughly cleaned clothes & now does not drain completely!!! Theres always lines of dirt left on clothes - you can see dirt clearly on dark clothes. Washer does NOT fill with enough water to thoroughly wet clothes! (Even on the bedding, extra dirty settings!) Clothes smell clean because the detergent was not washed or rinsed out. Washer does not agitate, turn over or rotate clothes... It gently shakes the tub side-to-side (like a mild earthquake does the ground) which does NOT move clothes around. Home Depot salesman said it strongly rocks clothes turning them around and under. It does not do that! You have to stop washer and PHYSICALLY move clothes from center and turn them around so bottom of pile gets wet (Now I understand why this model has a see-through lid!!!) This model is supposed to pre-wash sense the load amount by shaking the tub side-to-side to gauge how much water is need - FALSE ADVERTISING! I put gallons of water in two loads (same bulk & weight of clothes) to see if more water would be used on the heavier load - results: the same amount of water was used on both loads. Now (Oct 2016) the washer is not draining completely and going back to wash instead of rinse, drain! Maytag Corporation just says theyll send a repair person out but this is a SMALL town & the repair shops theyll use here are sketchy!This Washer is a huge waste of money just to own laundry status tone bells & non-usable settings. Its probably in violation of OSHA health/safety codes because if there are chemicals, feces (sorry, but wheres theres kids...), blood, diseases (if you visit anyone in a hospital), etc on the clothes... Those things are NOT being washed out of the clothes, so youre being infected by touching improperly washed clothes. WHY is there not a RECALL for this appliance? There are many, many people having the SAME problems as us. This is our first HE top-loader and I wish I could afford to get rid of this & buy a washer with an agitator... Maytag Gemini - This is a double oven which I purchased in 2010. 2 days ago Apr 13, 2015, the outside glass in the bottom oven simply exploded. The oven was in use at the time. It blew the side brackets off and glass was spread into my dining room as well as a mess in the kitchen. Maytag was supposed to send repairman today. Have waited all day and finally called repair company. They knew nothing of the repair and supposedly will contact Maytag and call me tomorrow. We will see. In the meantime has anyone else had this problem?

I have had the washer and dryer for a little over 2 years. The washer already needs to be replaced as the cost to replace the drum is almost as much as a new washing machine by another brand. Thought Maytag was the very best. I had a GE washer for years before I purchased this set. The GE wasnt broken but THOUGHT I was upgrading..NOT!!! Will not purchase Maytag again. Very unhappy!!!

Maytag Centennial eco conserve clothes washer - I purchased a Maytag (non-agitating) washer, (model MVWC400XW) just about a year ago and I cant tell you how dissatisfied I am with this product. It does not clean the simplest of soil from garments. I have actually had clothes come out of the washer after a complete wash cycle, with dry clothes. They recommend putting soap in first, at the bottom of the washer and then load clothes; I have had clothes come out stained as a result the clothes sitting on top of the soap. I am requesting that I be able to return (have this washer picked up) from my home and replaced with a washer with an agitator or a compatible washer that actually washes clothes. I believe that this may qualify as a lemon with regards to California lemon laws.

First Maytag washer we bought in 2003, worked flawlessly for 14 years, bought a new one in 2017 only because my wife wanted a bigger washer. Bought a Maytag top load MVWB765FW0. What a big mistake. In less than 3 years it has failed already. The water inlet valve went bad. Maytag offers no tech support because they want to charge you with a service call. I found out what was wrong by researching the problem and error code online and bought the part for $55.00 and fixed myself instead of them charging $100.00 just to show up at your door plus the part and labor. A washer failing in less than 3 years is totally unacceptable and I will never purchase another Maytag/Whirlpool product ever again. Someone needs to wake up at Maytag.

Really havent had any problems. The Maytag repairman really is lonely. Great quality wash machines and dryers for that matter. I havent had to do anything. Spins well... Very quiet, no complaints. Dryer works well too. Many cycles area to put fabric softener and bleach. It has a extra extraction cycle and many other features.

We have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator and after 2 years normal use it started leaking water onto the floor every day. After researching this problem I see that it is a widespread issue originating from an engineering mistake. I spent a weekend afternoon taking apart the freezer, clearing the frozen drain line, and putting it all back together. Im assuming this will keep happening every so often since it is a Design Flaw! Do yourself a favor and avoid Maytag!

Purchased standard Maytag refrigerator w/ freezer on top in 2012. Freezer has never been able to keep ice cream. Never called for repair because after reading several of these complaints, mine seemed to be a minor frustration. However, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I would like to start with, my Mother had always used Maytag washer and dryers. Her machines would last 20 years or more. I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer in 2006, since owning these machines have spent in upwards of $1400 in repairs. Some being flood out of tub, mother board blow out a couple of times as well as various other issues. The biggest problem is the awful smell of our clothes, I must wash clothes multiple times to try and remove these smells. I tried contacting Maytag and they dont want to hear my complaints and push me off to purchasing another washer and dryer. Oh, I will be buying a new washer and dryer it just will not be Maytag. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy another Maytag. This is not the same company my Mother knew and trusted.

We had a Neptune Maytag for over 12 years, best machine ever but this one (Bravos XL) is complete junk. We have been very disappointed in its ability to clean clothes with the length of time to complete its cycles is ridiculous. Its always out of balance with just a few pieces and lack of water twisting everything in knots. Well 16 months after purchase here we are with a broken machine, we have a fried circuit board. Maytag has lost our business permanently.

MF12665XEM7 Maytag Fridge water runs on the floor: After reading the review and watching the video to fix, I called Maytag. They refused to help. We bought our fridge at Nebraska Furniture Mart. We have spent a lot of money with them too. My husband called to see if they would split the cost of the service call. They refused. My floor is ruined from the water leakage onto it when we are not home. We try to catch the ice buildup and remove it before it is an issue. Why is there no class action suit? There is definitely a problem with this fridge and Im seeing it online everywhere I look.

Why is it when you wash dark clothes they come out with white spots which looks like soap. I have put very little soap and it still appears. I usually wash in cold water so I tried warm water - same result. I have had a Maytag for a least 40 years never had this problem - what is it I am doing wrong? I have to wash and rinse at least 2 more times. I would appreciate a answer so I can fix this.

Had a brand new Maytag MDB4949 dishwasher installed on 10/20/15. Noticed an acrid smell of burning plastic coming from the pull handle. After going to the reviews I see a pattern of shorting control panel boards melting the ribbon cable. Having repaired Xerox copy machines for 17 years, I recognized the smell of an electronics short and melting plastic. There are 600+ complaints for the same thing. Going to call the store we purchased it from and will escalate from there.

We purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. The thermostat control (a circuit board made in China) broke and was replaced in 2012 by a certified repair person. He reminded me to dust underneath regularly, which Ive done. A couple of weeks ago I noticed some darkening of my wood floor to the left of the refrigerator and so I pulled it out from the wall a bit. What I saw was that my entire floor was wet and falling apart under the left side and when I looked into the freezer, I pulled out the bottom basket and the bottom was covered in about an inch of ice.I called, posted on Facebook and was put on hold several times for as long as 20 minutes before I hung up. I called Home Depot and asked them to intervene and speak to a rep from Maytag. I have heard nothing. There is black mold in the corner of my kitchen and a soaked floor that may go way beyond. I googled the leak and apparently this is very common with Maytag French Door refrigerators. I have a meeting with an attorney. Getting through to Maytag is seemingly impossible unless you have hours to wait on the phone. We have been getting sick for months and not knowing the cause.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher less than a year ago and are very disappointed with the poorly designed quality of this product. We had a Maytag repairman look at our dishwasher and he told us that; the dishwasher cleans with enzymes in the dishwasher not water pressure, and we need to make sure the water in the kitchen faucet need to be hot before starting the dishwasher, we also need detergent, rinse aid, and citric acid added to each load. Adding all these products to the dishwasher does not fix a poorly designed product. This product does not clean the dishes, even with rinse aid the glasses come out cloudy. The dishwasher has a power blast button, it does not clean the dishes any better than the regular setting and it runs for four hours. We will never buy another Maytag product.

Purchased Maytag 4000 series washer Feb. 26 2011 - within six months Maytag warranty replaced the drum and bearings, within another few months Maytag worked on the drum again. Year two started out with the warranty contract replace the drum and bearings again. Oct 1 2014 called for service again, the drum not moving and having to wait 2 weeks for Tech. to checkout the machine then order parts. I have 7 children at home and that didnt matter to anyone. After reading online the number of 4000 series Maytag machines with this problem somebody needs to make Maytag recall and replace them.

This washing machine has been very reliable.No repairs needed yet. This machine has stood the test of time. We use it at least.. four times a week. Light and heavy loads. It fits in our washroom and budget. Just perfect. I would recommend this brand to everyone.

Purchased this washer from Saginaw, Michigan location in 2007. Started sounding like it was going to come through the wall of the laundry room so I contacted repair service. Told bearing was bad and that cost of repair would be $1,000.00 - literally laughed at repairman. I find it difficult to believe that a washer is built to last 7 years after paying so much for it.... My years of purchasing solely from Maytag have thus ended.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos XL MVBW755DW Washer and MGDB755DW Dryer in July 2016. Shame on me for not making my complaint sooner. They offer the Tide Pods for use but they dont completely dissolve and leave a residue/stain on the clothing. I have to wash everything on Deep Water Wash just to try to get them to come clean. Clothes will come out dry in some spots, they will have fabric softener stains on them, the pre-treated stains are still there once washed. Lint residue will be left on just about every piece of clothing. The fabric softener/detergent dispensers left side is rusting and I have to pull it out and clean it once a week. I cant get to the track on the inside to try to clean it and soon that will deteriorate and the dispenser will no longer slide into place. If I could attach pictures I would. Now moving on to the dryer, it dries clothes great. My only complaint at this point is that when the cycle is getting ready to shut off it sounds like a jet engine and rattles terribly. To sum this up, I called customer service this morning. They said nothing that I am explaining to them sounds as though it is a manufacturers defect. They said they will send a tech out to review at a fee of $99.95 plus the cost of any labor associated with the repair. They did however offer to pay for the parts. Now my question to them is if none of my issues are a manufacturers defect then why would you offer to pay for the parts? The unit(s) are no longer under warranty... Think twice, gather as much information as you possibly can prior to making a major purchase. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

Second time I have purchased a Maytag washer. Both units failed within six months of extended warranty running out. Maytag repairman is sitting on his **, not because they have a quality product but because consumers are seeing that it is a subpar product. Don’t waste your money on them or any of their off brands.

18 month old range did not shut off although it showed off on the cancel page. $800 down the toilet. Maytag had the guts to charge $100 to troubleshoot plus parts and labor. I will donate it to scrap metal. Company does not give a rats behind. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG.

We paid over 2000.00 for our refrigerator in May 2011 and within a year ice started forming on the bottom and then leaking out on to the floor. Every week I have to get out large beach towel to lay under the pull out drawer, break up the built up ice and then pull it out onto the towel. I too called Maytag who said it was out of warranty. Now today I notice a significant temperature drop in the refrigerator and freezer. Whats odd is that the day before yesterday the freezer was so cold the ice cream was solid as a rock. I have not changed the factory settings since it was installed. I HATE MAYTAG!!!

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

I had a tub failure on my washer Whirlpool Duet, which I bought brand new and it lasted 12 years with no problems. The dryer is still in use at my sons house. However, this failure lead me on a search for a set to replace the duet. I did some research and found the Maytag 6.2 Cu. Ft top loader and huge Dryer to match. The set was not cheap and it did have high marks for a great washer. So, I bought them both and had them delivered on 12/30/16. I have read all the owners manual and watched YouTube videos to see how to use this machine with all its pretty lights and sounds. I will concede that the machines look great, very impressive in my laundry room. I would bet it would even be a plus when I go to sell the house.THAT is all the nice stuff I can say. The machine does not clean clothes and I have done all the settings. I have changed laundry detergents, and even tried to add a little more water with a bucket at the start of the wash. (Saw that one on YouTube.) REALLY. That did not work, nor should I have to do that to get it to clean well. The answer seems to be, set the machine on FULL tub of water. So, I tried that for a couple of times and found that the clothes just float around and since they do not touch the Wear Plate they dont get clean. My wife (yes, I am a man that does most of the laundry) said she hates the washer and I was an idiot for buying this expensive piece of metal that does nothing but take up space and leaves spots on your clothes. Have you heard the term Happy Wife-Happy Life. Well not so much for me now.Spending money even $2,500.00 on a washer and dryer seems a little crazy. But I had the extra money and I have always wanted a MAYTAG. These guys know how to make a washer. Boy was I wrong, this machine must be an embarrassment to Maytag. I know I am really shocked that you would sell this machine as top of the line. I am not sure what Maytag will do, but I thought I would give you a chance to make this right. I have attached pictures of the machines installed and pictures of the model number plates. I have faith that Maytag will step up. My wife said this was a waste of time. We have had our washer and dryer almost 18 years and just recently spent less than $280 to get the washer going again. The dryer we haven’t had serviced yet. Great quality. So worth it. Our Maytag appliances are used frequently and keep giving out the best performance.

I have never given anything a negative review before, but this, by far, the absolute worst appliance I’ve ever had in my entire life. I bought it because I had an old leaky washer, but I’d take it back in a heartbeat because it could ACTUALLY wash my clothes. We spent a lot of money on this washer because we wanted something really nice that would actually work, but this washer is no better than me throwing my clothes in the sink and turning the water on. I’ve tried every kind of detergent and pretreatment that I could possibly try, and nothing helped because the actual machine don’t do nothing. Shirts come out still coated in mud, and half the load is dry??? Please, save your money, get your washer somewhere else. And I hate to even give this thing 1 star because it ain’t even worth that.

My Neptune Maytag pair have been dependable. Great features. Now at 20 yrs old still kicking. Washer-front loader now has issue with fab softener going into wash correctly. Could be build up? Trying to self-fix. Very gentle with washing fine things. Hope I can keep going with them.

On 12/09/12, I purchased a Maytag washer, model mvwc200xw, from our local Menards store. About 6 months ago, the washer started making a slight banging noise, and would occasionally move in the spin cycle. Now, when washing a small to medium size load, the banging noise is very loud and does a lot of moving. I found nothing in the troubleshooting guide to help me on this, so I looked on-line and found several websites discussing this same problem. They stated that the problem was a snubber assembly and the replacement part would cost $4.55. They also said the washer would have to be taken apart to change out this $4.55 part.I watched a you-tube video of someone changing this part and quickly came to the conclusion that I would need help in doing this. A comment was left in the video from a Maytag repairman saying that the person changing this part was not doing it in a safe manner. The repairman stated that changing it in the way this person described in the video was DANGEROUS! I wrote an email to Maytag customer service explaining the problem and asked if there was anything they could do to help me on this 1 1/2 year old washer. I received an immediate email stating they would get back to me in 3 days. Ten days later, I finally received a reply. I was told there was nothing they could or would do even though I was a valued customer and that they understand and appreciate my feelings of disappointment.I worked for a large department store from 1970 to 1990 and sold appliances, one of them being the Maytag brand. At that time, they were considered to be a top of the line brand. This was why I purchased Maytag appliances for over 40 years. I am surprised and saddened to see a lot of on-line complaints against Maytag appliances and also that this 1 1/2 year washer needs to be repaired so soon. Obviously, times have changed. I figured it would cost me at least $100.00 to have this washer repaired. Rather than do that, I am going to take this in need of repair to a scrape recycling center and then go out and buy a new washer, but it will not be Maytag! Maytag will never disappoint me again!

I purchased a Maytag gas range about five years ago. After about two months, I noticed that the paint on the burner grates was flaking off. I called the company and they told me it was cosmetic. I have since bought two sets of replacement grates. I call the newest ones my dress grates, which I put on the stove when I am having company. I use the damaged ones for everyday cooking. Last year, the panel flashed. It locks constantly. And often, the door would not open, unless we pulled the stove away from the wall, unplugged it, and that cleared the computer. So, after months of unsuccessful door openings, the handle finally fell off completely. And the door locks whenever the oven is turned on. You have to finish your cooking, press cancel, and wait until the oven cools off, and then it will unlock. I have tried pushing aluminum foil into the latch hole on the door but have not been successful. Sometimes I just put a spoon in the door to keep it ajar while cooking. This cant be energy efficient. Of course, it is out of warranty. I saw a similar complaint about the burner grates. Also, the paint has chipped in several places on the cook top and the disks are all chipped. I am never ever going to buy a Maytag product. Oh, by the way, I called a repairman. I paid $65 for him to tell me that to replace the lock mechanism and the door handle, it would be $400. I can buy a new stove for that, but not a Maytag.

It went bad, then I called a technician who replaced the compressor. After a few months, it broke down again after I had bought new parts for it. I was very dissatisfied with how the refrigerator was built. I spent lots of money on it, and it wasnt worth it.

March 7th. My refrigerator ice door started flapping and the lights flickering. The next day it quit working. I called Maytag. They said they would have someone come fix it the next week. The repair service people called me back the same day to tell me that the part I needed has been on back order for 2 months. I called Maytag back. They told me to wait a week they put out an all alert for the part. I called back in a week. Now they tell me its 2 months. This is ridiculous and a huge inconvenience. I will not buy anything again from Maytag. $2,800.00 refrigerator should last a minimum of 20 years. This should be a recall. Thousands of people are having this problem.

Part on fridge is defective. They have sent the part but tell me they dont have anyone in the area to work on it. Nor will they pay for someone to come out. We must replace it ourselves. This product should be on recall. Maytag fridge. Freezer door on bottom filling up with water. We have 2 of them doing this. One about 15 years old. Other one is 3 yrs old. Maytag knows of the problem but wont fix it. Wont recall their default product.

I specifically bought the washer because it has an agitator and you have a setting for more water if you need it. My previous washer had no agitation and really miss that. Seemed like clothes got cleaner. On this machine the agitator is certainly helpful, but there is so little water sometimes I find a pair of jeans with dry spots when load is complete. No, I do not overload the machine. If I change the setting to add more water I don’t see a difference in the amount of water that comes in. I find myself frequently adding an extra rinse. I feel that while making the new washing machines eco friendly they have cut back on water conservancy too much. At the very least the consumer should have more options as to levels of water. I would not buy this brand again.

My fridge and freezer got warm and compressor is not running. It is not even 8 years old. I replaced start relay and start capacitor. It cost me $75, from Maytag store. I worked two days the bam! It’s broke again. It’s a Maytag junk, now what? I have two kids in college. It will cost me $100 for a service call. Our food is ruined.

As others have stated, cant wash more than a couple towels or 2 pair of blue jeans. The washer is useless. Purchased Maytag for quality and received crappy worthless machine. Maytag should take returns and refund buyers money!

Maytag Bravo XL - We bought the set about a year ago, after high recommendations from the salesman at Best Buy. This washer does not clean clothes - they come out with soap & spots & white stuff, even after I use the deep water or the extra rinse cycles. These cycles take well over an hour. When they are finally finished, my clothes are twisted into ropes that have to be unwound & taken apart before putting in the dryer. I hate to think what its doing to more delicate clothing, getting stretched & tied up like that. This washer is awful - cant wait to get a new one. The dryer isnt much better - cant believe a $900 dryer doesnt have a steam refresh cycle! And the controls are so touchy - if you actually push them, they dont work. If you lightly hover over the button & barely breathe on it, it does - very strange.

I purchased a Maytag dryer several years ago, not a fancy one but just a plain simple dryer (model number MDE2706AYW). Thank goodness from the other complaints I have read I didn’t buy one that is computer controlled. The heating element has burned out twice, main thermostat and limit thermostat has burned out, and if you look close, it seems the wires are trying to melt or at least the insulation. Well, the insulation is melting. And the venting system is cleaned regularly so they can’t blame that. The last dryer I had lasted well over ten years with zero problems. I should have just fixed it. I’m sure I wouldn’t have spent as much money on repairs as I have with this one. You remember that lazy Maytag repairman that was on TV for so many years, you know why you don’t see him any longer? He is at my house repairing my ** dryer! You never, never hear me say this but the next dryer I buy will be made overseas. My last appliance purchase with any of these name brands on them: Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Admiral, Crosley, Magic Chef, Performa by Maytag, and Norge.

Works like a Dream!! My dryer is an older model Maytag and it works wondrous. I have tried the newer energy efficient kinds and I feel like they dont dry well or make my clothes smell clean. My older maytag works fast, efficiently and I love how my clothes feel fluffed and smell fantastic!

I have used Maytag washer and dryer for over 20 yrs. I recently replaced the set we purchased in 1988 because the washer broke down but I have never had a great problem with it either. I do on a average of 3 loads of laundry a week. I measure my detergents, mostly wash on warm or cold and I keep the filters and machines clean. I would buy the same maker should I need to replace them.

Purchased my Maytag in November of 2010, with the freezer on bottom. Within 1 year the ice maker stopped working, and every 8 to 10 days it gets a sheet of ice on the bottom, and water runs out all over the floor. Guess, Yes the warranty expired and scared to death that Im gonna have to replace my floor. If there is a class action suit out there please inform me.

Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 - My machine is 3 yrs old and started making a very loud noise on the spin cycle. My last Maytag lasted 18 yrs and all my appliances have always been Maytag. I believe it now when Im told that Maytag does not make good quality washers anymore.

After having a Maytag washer/dryer set that lasted 20 years, I decided to go with Maytag again. Big mistake! Centennial Dryer has already broke down and the parts, before the overcharged shipping, was over $100. I wish I had done some research. Maytag is no longer Maytag, it was purchased by Whirlpool. Hence the lack of quality. Not only that, I dislike doing business with heartless companies that just close shop & let loyal employees go while paying upper management fat severance pay. Then Whirlpool changed the vested lifetime benefits of the Maytag retirees. Will not buy another Maytag appliance and will never purchase a Whirlpool product.

We bought this stove in 2014. One knob got stuck while my teenager was cooking food on the gas stove. He called me at work worried because he couldnt turn it off. My husband left work right away to go home. We thought it was just a bad plastic knob. Now a second knob is stuck in the on low position. There is a third knob that feels hard to turn. That will be 3 burners. This is ridiculous. Its a safety hazard. We consumers have to worry if the house will burn down, get CO2 in the air, and if our family and children are safe. We thought Maytag was a good appliance. I will not buy another Maytag. They should recall this stove top/oven. I have read so many of the same complaint on this website as well as online in general. I cant believe they continue to sell this with this much of a safety issue. Please take it off the market.

I have a stainless steel dishwasher, model MDBH985AWS10. Its about 5 years old. The control panel works intermittently -- Ive replaced and ruled out the door latch -- now Ive got the problem narrowed down to either the control panel or the circuit board. Ive read about this diagnostic cycle I could run to try to help diagnose the problem. I emailed Maytag for the code and waited a week and didnt get a response.I called them today and they said they cant give me the code--they only give that to their technicians. My dishwasher is not brand new, but I paid good money for it, and Id prefer to not have to guess what to buy when Im trying to repair it. Each of these parts costs about $150. Im not sure what the policy is for other dishwasher manufacturers, but for the next washer I buy, Ill find a company that either 1) has more reliable products or 2) at least tries to help the customer repair his own equipment.

I bought a Neptune washer and a dryer. I have had nothing but problems with these items since I got them. My washer keeps giving me a 3e code and will not clean the laundry right. I have used the H E detergent it requires and yet my clothes stink. My laundry smells like mold and mildew. I now dont have my units to wash and dry clothes. I paid almost $4,000.00 for the pair. Purchased a Maytag Bravos XL less than 3 years ago Model MVWB725BW0. We have had several repair calls. From reading complaints from others, I have the same: clothes balloon, clothes rip, dark clothes have a scum on them, even a blanket goes off balance and it is hard to start the cycle. It goes off balance all the time, makes a squeaky sound when agitating and the housekeeper can never figure out what cycle to run the clothes on because they always go off balance, there is a loud vibration, etc. The last repair call was for an actual leak on the floor! The appliance company charged us $95 for the service call, did nothing, and told us the parts would be more expensive than a new washing machine. Went to Home Depot today and purchased an LG washer and dryer for over $1500. I am not even going to try to recoup anything from Maytag because this is the second Maytag that I have had a bad experience with and didnt learn a lesson in the first place. Junk. :(

Maytag Centennial washer - Bought this washer brand new and after the first 2 months started having issues. The washer took FOREVER to fill and to complete a basic load took literally an hour or more. Then within the next 7 months it stopped spinning out the final spin cycle. Spin light would flash as would lid lock but wouldn’t spin the water so I had to manually unplug the machine then plug in out cycle on drain and spin and that worked 50 percent of the time. Repairman came out and said could be a number of issues but he said honestly it would cost me a lot less to just go buy a new washer! This is INSANE! I grew up with the Maytag repairman commercials and thought Maytag was still top of the line but LEMME TELL YA, IT AINT! The Centennial is a total piece of crap so PLEASE don’t purchase this machine as I can promise you will NOT be satisfied! MAYTAG, STEP UP YOUR GAME BECAUSE YOU SUCK.

I purchased a Maytag Front-Loading Washing machine. It was purchased on 11/30/15. Approximately this January, 2017 the spin cycle stopped getting all the water out of the laundry. Towels came out wet, shirts came out wet and I tried washing a small bathroom rug that came out of the washer dripping with water. My husband called Maytag to tell them about this issue. They told him I didnt know how to load the washer machine. Wow, I have only been using washing machines for 45 years and now I dont know how to load a machine. Then they said they will send him a video to watch on how to load a washing machine. I watched it. I wasnt doing anything incorrectly. (Maybe someone should send them a video on how to build a proper washing machine.) I previously had a Maytag Neptune machine that lasted twenty years until there was a class action suit against the machine. The clothes came out fine from that machine. I just purchased an Electrolux front loader that works beautifully. Now I have a Maytag machine that is nothing but a piece of junk in my opinion. It cost $824.21. I will never buy a Maytag machine EVER. MHW7100DW.

Is there any place to give a zero to this Maytag Front Load Washing Machine Model MHW5500FW1 and if there is a class action lawsuit please include us! We have owned other Maytag Washing Machines and never experienced such an epic failure as we have with this washing machine! We were so excited when we purchased our new Maytag washer/dryer set in March of 2018 we even remodeled our pantry/laundry room to accommodate them! As the chief operator of the washing machine, I have literally cried at what a mistake weve made! We have no complaint of the Maytag dryer. Let me describe my new normal procedure for laundering a load of clothes. First, load the washer with clothes then press power/cancel then press rapid wash let the clothes get HOPEFULLY saturated with water then hit hold to start and then hit power/cancel this shuts off the washing machine. I then press power/cancel again and select normal and the water empties out of the washing machine from the prior load and then starts to refill, if the add a garment light comes on (when it wants too) and no I dont change any pre-set settings I am able to add extra water with a pitcher, if this procedure works I let the washer run its 1-hour and 48-minute cycle. If not, I have to start over again because the add garment light wouldnt come on to allow the door to unlock. After the clothes are finished I again press power/cancel then hit rapid wash put my fabric softener in the dispenser press hold to start and let it run its 36-minute cycle making sure my clothes are rinsed appropriately and not stiff because of the lack of water. I neglected to say that when Ive tried tricking the washer and think I am able to add extra water, if Ive added too much the sensing kicks in and the washing machine drains all the water out on its own and refills with the little water it allows! Which is maddening! I throw up my hands and sit down and cry!!! I have contacted Maytag/Whirlpool complaining about the lack of water and their wacky water sensor! I asked them how can you conserve water and electricity when you have to wash your clothes over and over with long wash cycles? This doesnt make sense! My white clothes are now dingy and stiff as well as the colored. Maytag says you can use powdered detergents if its HE High Efficiency powdered detergents, but thats not true. The detergent doesnt dissolve and ends up on the clothes at the end of the long wash cycle because of the lack of water! From the beginning I adjusted the amount of powdered detergent for the front load washer and have to dissolve it in hot water prior to washing and hopefully am able to add it to the clothes if the add a garment will let me! I have now resorted to extra cycles to rinse out any remaining detergent hoping my clothes will be soft and fresh smelling. I had planned to replace my old Maytag agitator washing machine with this piece of junk front loader, fortunately we kept our old washing machine as a back up!

Almost two years after purchasing the Maytag Bravo XL, I am fed up. I have the exact same problems as everyone else in these reviews. Soap scum left on dark clothes since day 1. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I have read and re-read the manual especially the troubleshooting guide and still have the same thing happen. Its very frustrating. I constantly have to re-rinse clothes because of soap, lint, dirt, etc left on clothes. I wouldnt give away this washer to anyone, I would rather burn it. I am currently looking for a new washer, the last one I had for 11 years was a front loading Whirlpool. I should have stuck with a Whirlpool, I still have the matching dryer no problems at all.

I purchased a dishwasher and stove from Home Depot. Stove has already been replaced twice because of faulty manufacturing and now the dishwasher, after 1 1/2 years no longer works due to the control panel. I called a repair representative of Whirlpool/Maytag and explained the circumstances. Their own customer service people indicate that it is cheaper to replace a product then it is to repair it. Shame on Maytag and Whirlpool that they move their companies to countries outside of the United States and they no longer stand behind their product. Shame on them that what use to be the best product around is no longer worth paper you print on. I will no longer purchase any product from Maytag, Whirlpool or Home Depot since they all seem to line their pockets from products they know wont last. One mouth is worth a thousand complaints and I plan on screaming from the rooftops!

I bought my Maytag washer and dryer in Monroe County in Georgia, USA in 1980. Its a 1979 product and it STILL works perfectly fine after 40 years! Im 64 years old now and Im hoping Ill never have to buy a new set although I would love one because theyre so pretty these days.

Purchased a Maytag MSD2553WEW00 refrigerator on 2/27/2011 from Home Depot. Began using it in July 2012 upon completion of home construction. In February 2014, after less than two years of service, the refrigerator was running but no longer cooling. After the expense of several part replacements and a service call, it was determined that the compressor had failed. Unlike most manufacturers, Maytag did not warrant the compressor and closed system beyond 12 months. The refrigerator looks like new but the cost of repair is prohibitive relative to purchasing another new refrigerator. Maytag was contacted but was not helpful.

Was very happy with choice when it arrived. Bought October of 2010. Now, this summer, nothing but problems. Honestly weekly cleaning of vents underneath, sheets of ice in freezer, refrigerator not staying cool, constant frost plugging areas, and no more ideas of how to make it work. I already quit with Kenmore after terrible problems with their appliances and now when Maytag doesnt stand up for years what are we supposed to buy? OUTRAGED with American quality of products and disposables. UGH!!!
