This washer has been the biggest disappointment of any appliance I have ever bought. Purchased 12/2012 and immediately disliked it but thought I needed to get used to the new style since my previous machine operated for 23 yrs! It is loud and does not clean as effectively as my last machine. It stays in the Sensing mode for 15 mins or longer. Rarely will it spin as it should. Most loads, after the sensing stops and the lights go out, I have to move the dial to Drain/Spin, wait for it to sense again and then maybe it will spin. If this doesnt work I have to unplug the machine to allow it to reset. I called Maytag and was told there are no known issues with the machine. I google this model and find many customers have had a similar problem.

We purchased a top of the line, state of the art Maytag washer and dryer Neptune. The fill valve failed twice, flooding the first floor and the big storage room below. Thank God we were here! Now the thing halts mid-cycle and wont continue. The repairmen both said the design is messed up and they hate to work on the Neptunes.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher in 2011. In 2014 I got no response from the control panel when trying to start the machine. Service came out and had to replace the control panel. The cost for that repair was $269.00. It has now just stopped working again. Same issue. After seeing all the posts, I realize that this is a prevalent issue and in some cases a safety concern. If Maytag knows about this issue with their control panels why have they not recalled or corrected these problems! Needless to say, I will never trust this company again!!! Model number MDB7749AWM2.

We had a house built in 2007 and bought all new Maytag appliances - washer, dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. Consequently, we spent many thousands of $ and Maytag made much money from our purchases. In the 7.5 years since we have been using these appliances, the dishwasher already had to be replaced, as fixing it would have cost just as much as buying a new one. But its the range that I am so angry about. I have replaced the igniter 3 times since 2007, and last night, it went out again. I have spent $494 so far to keep replacing the igniter and once I make the service call to replace it AGAIN, it means I will have spent approx. $700 to keep fixing an appliance that is only 7.5 years old. Maytag says the warranty on the appliance is only for 1 year and will not budge on giving me a break on cost of parts and/or service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase anything Maytag or recommend Maytag to anyone.

Purchased the Maytag Aqualift self-cleaning oven and this feature doesnt work at all. I would have never have made this purchase if I knew the oven would not self clean. This technology with the water in the bottom to self clean is pathetic! I thought maybe it wasnt working and called for a repair since it was under warranty. The service man told me not to expect it to clean like a regular self-cleaning oven. But I complained that it did nothing at all! So now I have a self-cleaning oven that I have to clean myself!

I have a Bravos washer model # mvwb45owqo and matching dryer. The price for the pair was $1347.00 plus tax. The washer and dryer were bought Jan 14 2010. 10-10-13 the pump went bad and was replaced. I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Maytag and I will never own anything that has the Maytag name on it again.

Bought the Maytag model MFI2670XEM and within 6 weeks freezer wasnt making ice. Repairman came and fixed it, within a couple weeks same problem again. It was fixed and within a couple months same problem. Fixed, but makes very little ice. Now 18 months later after purchase freezer is leaking water onto the floor. Very disappointed!!! After reading other Maytag reviews I am worried I will have to dump this relatively new refrigerator and buy another (wont be a Maytag) and our upgraded dishwasher from Maytag is terrible! I hand wash all my dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. The smallest bit of ketchup or sauce is not washed away in the wash cycle. Our Maytag stove/oven seems to not heat correctly, as well. Internal temperature gauge reads 5-15 degrees off all the time. Thumbs down Maytag! Extremely disappointed with Maytag products! Will never buy again!

The machine runs and runs and runs and still the clothes come out dirty. Clothes are often not even wet all over. The Maytag HE water-saving washer is a terrible Hoax. The dryer also is faulty. It rolls the clothes into a big, undried ball of dirty clothes.

As others have stated, cant wash more than a couple towels or 2 pair of blue jeans. The washer is useless. Purchased Maytag for quality and received crappy worthless machine. Maytag should take returns and refund buyers money!

I purchased my Maytag side by side refrigerator 11/2011 and by 3/2012 the compressor went out flooding my pool house floor. Maytag replaced the entire fridge because I was only a few months old. I bought the 2 year extended warranty, went down to the pool house (which has central heat and air) and the compressor has gone out again! The results leaving my baseboards molded! My warranty went out 3/17/2015 and Maytag is helping NONE! The only thing they have to say is you can buy a new repair one warranty for $363 to repair for one year. I have had this refrigerator for 3.5 years and now this is the second time its gone out! Customer service said, pool house is different than a regular kitchen. I told her that the pool house is 1,000 sq heated/cooled kitchen, bathroom, sitting room. Thats no different than some houses. Why would that make a difference?? My parents have a 30 year old fridge on the back porch thats still running! I will NEVER purchase another MAYTAG product! Stainless side by side with ice maker.

Two years old, single person owned and will not operate - At 2:00 am, April 25th, 2012; I went to take a load of laundry out of the washer. It was still full of water and would not operate. I am a single person. I do not do load after load in two years. In fact, I was doing a weekly load of clothing, nothing large. I paid close to $1,000.00 for this unit. This sucks and why only one year warranty? Are you Maytag? A Youigo car would run better than this. And they are built cheap.

I would not purchase a Maytag in the future. The top oven does not work, and one of the burners is semi functional. Considering I have only have the oven about 5 years. I am not happy with the the product. In the future I would seek other options, Maytag is not on the list of products for consideration.

First Maytag washer we bought in 2003, worked flawlessly for 14 years, bought a new one in 2017 only because my wife wanted a bigger washer. Bought a Maytag top load MVWB765FW0. What a big mistake. In less than 3 years it has failed already. The water inlet valve went bad. Maytag offers no tech support because they want to charge you with a service call. I found out what was wrong by researching the problem and error code online and bought the part for $55.00 and fixed myself instead of them charging $100.00 just to show up at your door plus the part and labor. A washer failing in less than 3 years is totally unacceptable and I will never purchase another Maytag/Whirlpool product ever again. Someone needs to wake up at Maytag.

Maytag washing machine Model # MHWE500VW - 2 control boards only last 4 years. I paid top dollar, $1229.00 to be exact and the parts and labor are $659.00 with no guarantee that there wont be further problems. Technician told me that this is typical of Maytag products. Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

I have done widespread reading and realize that the front panel flashing and a clanging noise coming from the fridge, as well as it not cooling or freezing or the water dispenser not working, is a common issue. My extended warranty had run out, and as I rely on the fridge given Im insulin-diabetic and have meds to store, I phoned Maytag to see if they would help regarding the part. No joy. It means that as I cannot to pay a repairman hundreds of dollars to repair it, I have to order the HV board myself and will attempt to fix it. I am hugely disillusioned with Maytag and would never recommend it to anyone.

I have a two year old version of this dishwasher (MDB894995BB3) and now the start and cancel light on the control panel stopped working. I now see that this is a common theme with this model and I feel it is their obligation to repair these units with permanent fix and not the same thing that will fail again. I will never buy another Maytag Product in my life again. The Bravo is the worst of the worst washing machines ever. They claim to save on water but the electric it uses is terrible. My Maytag washer (model number MVWC400XW3) worked well for 6 months. Suddenly, it started making terrible loud noises when spinning. Repairmen have come out 6 times, and I got second opinions. It was turned over to another repair company. Transmission has been replaced as well as the motor. I have been without a washer for 3 months. Repairmen would come out, replace a part, and leave; and the washer is never fixed. I asked the repairmen to stay for an entire cycle, but they act insulted and left, saying its fixed. When I tried to wash, everything went crazy. I unplugged the washer and plugged it back in to reset it. I turned the dial to spin, and the lights said the washer was sensing. The lights never moved off that. The washer sounded like its trying to wash, but theres a strong grinding noise. When does the repairman decide he cant fix it? My husband is insisting we go buy another washer. The washer was bought in September 2011, so its still in warranty. In addition, we bought a five-year warranty. The repairmen stay 15 minutes, plug in a new part, and leave. They dont come back for two weeks. Will we ever get this washer fixed or get a new one. How do we put pressure on Maytag to fix it or give us a new one?

Well Maytag, I have to say that I am very disappointed with your washer. When I put it on the bedding setting and try to wash a big load, it barely moves the load around. If you have a regular agitator to replace this useless one that is in this new washer I would like to have one. My laundry is barely getting washed and when you look inside the washer everything that is on the top stays on the top, not like the older washers where you could see that the laundry was getting sucked down with the proper agitator.

This range and oven get unsafe, very hot on the surface and sides. Also, first time we used the oven, our oven mitts and bbq tools caught fire in the storage drawer.

We purchased our Maytag Bravo XL in 2012. Over the past year and a half we noticed the inside of the top lid is rusting as well as the bleach dispenser area. I called Maytag about the lid and they said there was nothing they can do and that we could buy a new lid replacement. Really??? My parents had only Maytag in their home for over 50 years with little to no repairs needed ever! We were a family of five back then. Because my parents always bought Maytag products so did we. This is the first time in 40 years that I have ever seen this happen! I was hoping for a recall for these issues but dont find any online. The washer and dryer were not cheap and purchased from a reputable retailer.

I bought this dishwasher from Sears on Tuesday July 15, 2014. It was delivered on Friday July 18, 2014. On Friday July 25, 2014 two plastic clips that hold the top rack on broke, and one whole side of the top rack fell down. I called the 1-800 # in the book. Then I called the repairman they recommended. He came out on the Monday July 28, 2014. By the time he got here, the clip on the other side broke. Now the rack was hanging by one plastic clip. While waiting for these parts, the last clip broke and the rack was completely detached. So he received the parts on Friday Aug. 1, 2014. When he arrived, lo and behold, they sent the wrong parts. He had the side tracks that hold the rack, not the cheap plastic clips that attach it to the racks. So I have had my new dishwasher 14 days, and have been able to use it a total of 4 times before it failed. I am now awaiting the new parts. The parts that broke are made from a cheap thin plastic, and this is expected to hold up the entire top rack and the dishes its holding.

I bought our Maytag HE washer model #MVWC565FW back in July 2019 after having owned a Kenmore scratch and dent washer from Sears for approx 25 years, and in just one month of using it I knew it was a mistake. There are only 2 water levels - deep water (full tub) or practically no water (though there are a number of settings, there is no difference in water level, its just full drum or very very little water). The auto-sensor water level option is a joke - there is barely enough water to wash anything - its like going back hundreds of years to washing and beating your clothes on rocks. Items in the washer become so tangled it sometimes takes a while to detangle before placing in the dryer. Water stops filling the tub when lid is open - I can no longer wash and rinse delicates while the drum is filling. It took 3 calls w/ Customer Service to get an ADDITIONAL lid latch that I can use to trick the machine to thinking the lid is closed - I keep the actual lid open, then stick in the lid latch I bought - take it out when Im done hand rinsing. This also enabled to to view the washing in action - IT DOES NOTHING! Clothes stay in the same place as you placed them in the tub - they dont move, they dont wash - and I bought a washer with an agitator - that is in quotes because it is a misnomer with this brand! The wash cycles ARE SO LONG it takes all day to wash a few loads of laundry. Once you select a setting YOU CANNOT CHANGE IT - the washer empties and stops, then you have to start all over again - ENERGY AND WATER EFFICIENT...REALLY???? What a bunch of you know what! This is the most inflexible piece of junk I have ever had the displeasure of owning. I have to keep jugs of water on hand that I keep filling up to at least have a bit of water. When I called Cust. Svc. at the beginning telling them my experience - the person on the phone had nothing to contribute - they couldnt even tell me what cycles might fit my needs - they told me to go back to Home Depot and ask someone there! WORST APPLIANCE WORST COMPANY.

The bleach dispenser will dispense bleach BUT it is full of water after each use. The dispenser is flushed with water by the machine at the engineered time in the cycle. The warranty service companies want me to pay around $300 ($100 + $70/ hr) for them to work on it. I have to use a measuring cup and pour water into the dispenser until it begins to siphon out. Stop pouring, and the dispenser will be empty for the next addition of bleach. The washer is allowing water to partially fill the dispenser AFTER the bleach has been flushed/siphoned out into the load of clothes. If the flush water were completely shut off after flushing operation, the dispenser should be empty.

I purchased all new appliances and decided to go with Maytag. My Maytag Refrigerator model MFI2569VEM after 12 months, just after the warranty expired, started leaking all over my kitchen floor. I called Maytag and all they told me was there is no recall on this model and there was nothing they could tell me over the phone. I purchased an extended warranty and that is a whole other problem to get someone out. They said to check the freezer problem I need to call when the leak was occurring, so they could see what is happening. So basically, I need to leave water on my kitchen floor so they could see what is happening. Who hires these people?

Refrigerator (Model Mff2558vems) purchased end of November 2011. Early in 2013 notice refrigerator first forming ice all over freezer, including an ice sheet on bottom of freezer. Then noticed water around refrigerator. Called maytag and they sent repairman even though a little over year and out of warranty. Their service people seemed to know exactly what was causing the leak as they came in with the correct replacement part. Worked fine however, there was damage to my newly refinished hardwood floors which Maytag did pay to repair. A couple of days ago I opened the freezer and again noticed ice all over freezer. The next day, water all around freezer. I cleaned everything up, so I thought. The day after, we noticed the hardwood in kitchen buckling up far from refrigerator and the laminate in dining room bubbling, even though there was no visible sign of water. Called Maytag repair company but they couldnt come out for a couple of days. Called another local repair service familiar with Maytag refrigerators and he couldnt find anything wrong with refrigerator even though he knows leaking caused by refrigerator. Called insurance co. and they sent over service master. Leak is definitely coming from refrigerator. They had to pull up hardwood floor, part of walls, the dining room. They now have five large fans going and a defroster to dry things up. This is upsetting, as my daughters wedding is next month, my husband is currently laid off and I dont need this kind of aggravation again. I love the french door idea, so roomy for my large family, but I am now afraid of this refrigerator. I dont want it but think it is ridiculous I have to shell out more money when the refrigerator is less than 3 years old. I talked with a higher level supervisor at Maytag and they are only willing to give a 100.00 rebate towards a new refrigerator since the refrigerator is out of warranty. This is ridiculous. I thought by buying American I was helping our economy but what I got in return is heartache and crappy merchandise. If there is a lawsuit in California against Maytag about these refrigerators I want to join. My friend in N. CA who bought her Maytag refrigerator the same time I did is also experiencing leaking. So frustrating.

Can not wash 4 pairs of pants or 2 sheets because they get out of balance when the spin cycle begins. I had to take the clothes out and move them around to keep the balance. Very unhappy. Would not recommend this washer.

From day one I didnt like how this machine restricted how I can wash my clothing. There is no water volume controller. It is all automatic, which sounded fine in the store, but once I used it I quickly realized it is horrible. I can not add extra laundry or detergent in at the last minute because it says not to open the lid at all once you start the load. The settings are very glitchy. They do not seem consistent. There is a knob for level of soil on the clothing which doesnt seem to do anything at all. Ive had it now for four years and it has only gotten worse. Now I can only use one setting Hand Wash. Try doing a teenage boys clothes in Hand Wash and youll find out quickly that nothing gets clean that way. Oh, and all of the sudden the spin cycles are not working, they spin when they want to but they rarely get rid of the dirty water. Spinning in dirty water does not get clothes clean either. This machine is horrible, hands down, the worst washing machine I have ever owned.

I bought a Maytag washer about 4 months ago and the dryer the washing machine has went down a couple of times but I managed to get it to start again. This time it will not start back up. It just as a little water and stuff and will not lock and wash. It never gets the clothes clean and you have to wash them twice or at least a residue on the clothing. I hate this washer and Im very saddened that Maytag will not come out - told me that they had to find someone. There was no one in the area that could fix my washer. It has been nearly a week now and no response from them. Im going to have to buy another washer. I am so upset to spend nearly 800 some dollars on a brand new washing machine and it does not work. I think that was all the complaints that I have seen on this page so somebody needs to put them on the news and also someone needs to start a lawsuit against this company. Shame on you Maytag. I bought a Maytag dishwasher (Model: MDBH949AWS2) from Home Depot on 07 April 11 and it died 24 August 11. I called Maytag to set up an appointment for repair. The repair person showed up and stated that the control panel needed to be replaced. Apparently, if moisture gets into the panel it shorts it out. One would think that when designing an appliance that utilizes water and creates steam, it would be sealed. Anyway, the repairman explained that because the dishwasher was in a residential program, the warranty was null and void. I wish that someone would have explained this before I purchased it. I went online to AppliancePartsPro.com and ordered the part for $100.75 including the shipping cost. Then, I went back online to look up how to install the panel. The repair person said that they are charging $133.00 for the part and $129.00 to install. A small star tip screwdriver and 15 minutes was all it took to fix. From what I have read, this will not be the last control panel but, at least, I know how to fix it. Another thing that I know is that Maytag is off my list of future appliance purchases regardless of where Im using them.

Maytag Centennial commercial technology washer - Bought what I thought would be a great washer given the Maytag brand about 3 years ago. Started out ok But has gotten progressively louder and noisier. We cant even hear the television on the next floor of the house when the washer is running ridiculous. Now it wont work at all. MDB7749SAW - 22 months @ an initial price of $599 and control panel lights become increasingly erratic and finally machine fails to respond to reboot (unplugging) after the third time. Repair man over the phone is familiar with the model and estimates parts at $160 + $115 (gave me a discount) + $125 service call for $400 to make the Maytag run again. Bought June 28, 2012. Installed September 2012. Becomes trash July 2014. Wish I could be more helpful... but if I had purchased the service insurance agreement, it would have run about $90/year... that would have been an extra $180 for a total of $712 including sales tax. So, I had a dishwasher for about 95 cents per day. Nobody rents them. I cant give it less than one star or I would. As a new buyer I was not informed.

I have Maytag Model MGT8885XS03 Gas Range. I bought it in Nov 2013. The surface burner valves, which regulate the gas flow, are a bad design. One valve got stuck and needed replacement within first 13 month. Then another valve got stuck about a year ago and the third one got stuck today Nov 19. So far I spent $400.00, just for 2 of them and the last one has not being replaced yet. This is a safety issue, because it always happen when the stove is on and will not turn off. I need Maytag to replace my stove because I am afraid this will burn my house down. I bought Maytag because they always advertise as quality product, and now I have to live with the nightmare of burning my house down.

I purchased this washing machine from Home Depot in 2012. I am amazed that it lasted this long after reading the reviews on here. It will not drain water, it will not spin. I see many customers bought the same washer and are having multiple issues. When will Maytag recall these machines? Overpriced and unfair to consumers to sell something that is broken or not reliable.

We purchase a matching Maytag washer and dryer set and within the first three months our washer began to give us error codes and would not wash our clothes completely on any cycle. It was repaired and we began to have the same issues within the next couple of months. This all happened within the first year. We called customer service about extending our service warranty due to the multiple malfunctions of this washer. We were given the run around and, quite frankly, the attitude that this was not their problem. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG PRODUCT! Thank you customer service for ensuring that I will not be a repeat customer!

This Maytag bravo washing machine is the worst ever machine I have owned. I bought it new, and shortly after the 1 year warranty expired, I started having problems with it. I had a repairman come out. All he did was take out the trouble shooting guide, press a code, and wait. The machine told him that each function worked. Even though it did not work properly. He hid the trouble shooting guide inside the machine, so I cannot get to it. Now I have so many problems with this machine, that it takes me all day to do 1 load. This thing makes noises that I have never heard from a washing machine in my life. I would never buy another Maytag product, nor do I recommend anyone else to buy one.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator about two years ago because of the Maytag quality hype. The ice maker has been leaking almost from day one and I need to clear out the ice from the bottom of the freezer every few weeks. Now the thing has quit cooling all together. I contacted the Maytag website and they recommended a local authorized repair firm. I took a day off work to meet the service provider. After checking the fridge they informed me that the problem was with the sealed system and that they could not work on it, and that I would need to contact Maytag to get a real Maytag repair person to come and fix the thing (right back where I started). They were however more than happy to charge me $70.00 for a service call. I tried the Maytag 1 800 number which was a nightmare and it finally hung up on me. I then went back to the website and managed to get a service appointment in two weeks (had to wait for a Saturday appointment because I cant afford to take another day off work). I just hope that this time it will actually be someone who can fix the thing and not charge me just to refer me back to Maytag again. I am not happy with the so called Maytag quality or their BS methods for providing service. Caveat Emptor if you are contemplating a Maytag appliance.

Topload Maytag Bravos washer sounds like a jet on spin cycle. Called Maytag, no recalls or service issues. Just wanted to sell me a service contract for over 300.00 dollars that would fix it and be covered under warranty for a year on anything that went wrong. Could set me up with a service call, but it was six days from now - no thanks. The washer this replaced was a Sears which was 26 years old. It still worked and I sold it for 75.00 dollars. Guess I will stick with Sears!

Purchased this washer in March of 2016 for a family of 2. In July of 2018 had to have system board replaced. Now here we are beginning of 2020 and washer is making grinding noise and did not spin out properly. Will not buy another Maytag, a washer should last more than 4 years. Poor quality product. Do not waste your money!

My complaint is not against Home Depot but Maytag Products. They are inferior products. Stay away from Maytag! Note: We are in our mid-to late 60s, no kids using these products and they do not get a lot of wear and tear. Maytag Microwave: MMV 4205DS-0, May 29, 2014 we purchased Maytag appliances for our kitchen (stove and microwave from Home Depot). I liked the 10 year metal warranty plate attached to the front limited warranty of the microwave. This means nothing! They cover the stainless cavity of the microwave (a part that will never go bad). June 3, 2014 this microwave was delivered. Thanksgiving, the microwave went out November 30, 2015 this was replaced with GE Profile Model JVM3160RFSS for $178. November 30, 2015, Diamond Factory Service was here for the Microwave. We paid $90 for the service call. They wanted $228.09 to repair (1-8206419 Switch $15.22; 1 W10269460 Switch $27.03; 1 W10727360 Microswitch $27.03 and Labor $155.00). Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749AWM. Purchased from Al race Appliance for $599.95 total with tag etc was $920.27 on 5/16/12. So thankful was purchased the additional warranty for five years. We have had 2 service calls so far for the same issue, which is W10356494 Console CMFF0312434. This is a known problem (it will not start). I wish I would have googled the model before purchase was made. When the warranty expires, this will go to the curb too.Also, purchased Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer from Best Maytag, Rockford. The dryer had problems with the circuit board after a short time. Too expensive to replace. Our family and friends ALWAYS purchased Maytag only. No more! Stay away! We are waiting for the oven to go next. Oh and check out the bottom drawer. There use to be room for pots and pans. No more. Lucky to get your pot holders in there.

I bought a Maytag Neptune washer and dryer set in 2001. I had horrible mold issues with the washer not long after, and the colors washing setting cant be used without the clothes coming out with a smell that implies they were not cleaned. The dryer lasted about a year longer, before it stopped heating the air and also would not stop running. I will never buy from Maytag again! Much the same as many other consumers have commented, I would give it less than one star if that is an option!

My Neptune has been a great washing machine. I did have to change the door gasket twice and just recently changed the bearings. My machine sounded like a jet engine. I ordered the parts on eBay, watched a YouTube video, and fixed my Neptune washing machine. Its still working and runs quietly.

Do not buy one. Maytag is unresponsive to repairs or parts that are needed. They are not even manufacturing the part that breaks. If you are lucky, you will find out there is someone who will fix the defective computer board... But Maytag will not tell you. We were without fridge for 4 months... They did not care.

I am very dissatisfied with this washer (Maytag Washer Bravos XL), it doesnt use enough water to cover the clothes. No matter which cycle you use, the clothes dont come clean. Who cares about water sensing if your laundry isnt clean. I will not buy another water sensing machine, I think the consumer should make that call on how full to fill the washer. Even on power wash the small agitator turns slowly. Not happy with this machine at all.

This machine(Bravos XL Washing Machine) was highly recommended to me at the Home Depot by a sales associate. I broke down and took the recommendation. Oh how I regret that! This is a terrible washing machine. It does not put enough water into the machine to even cover the clothes halfway. It ties the clothes in knots! I made a terrible mistake when I purchased this!

We bought our Maytag Neptune washer in 2005. We chose Maytag because of their reputation, their headquarters in Michigan, and because looking at the machines in the store, they seemed to be well built. Were we ever wrong! You would think paying $1000 for a machine would get you a product that lasts longer than 8 years! Our other washer (a Whirlpool) lasted 20 years and was still working. Im now consistently getting a 3e error code. In searching online, I found that this is a pretty universal problem and thought maybe Maytag had a recall on it. What a waste of valuable time. I did find out the machine was actually a Samsung. This seems like fraud. If I wanted a Samsung, thats what I would have purchased! Contacting Maytag Customer Service was like Land of the Stupid. After getting the runaround and being sent to a phone number and website that only covered Samsung I called Maytag again. I was put in contact with another person who could supposedly help me with the recall. Even though I told him what the problem was, he gave me the robot response about sending the GFCI plugin and told me, That should make your washer safe to operate. Seriously??? I replied, This wont fix the problem because THE WASHER DOESNT WORK and we got the recall part long ago. He then wanted to schedule a repair appointment. Not doing that, considering how stupid the Maytag reps I had talked to so far had been. Putting the hubby on the case, luckily hes pretty handy. On the upside, it was fun responding to the Maytag customer service survey that night, LOL. All of our other appliances are Maytag and they have all been great, but this washer is an unreliable piece of junk.

Maytag french door fridge model MFF2558VEW7. I bought this fridge about 3 years ago. Have had nothing but problems. First I had problems with the freezer frosting up, then I had the same problem of ice buildup in bottom of freezer. Now the freezer only gets cold enough to cool drinks and the fridge only gets to about 60 degrees. This is not the only Maytag appliance I have had problems with. I bought a dishwasher a few years ago that quit working just after the warranty ran out. Both bought from Home Depot. After reading other reviews, it seems that appliances bought from Home Depot have had problems too.

Model MMV4205FZ3 microwave hood combination. No problems with open door signal yet. However, light over the stove burnt out. When removing, it exploded.No didnt unplug first. Previous microwave didnt have a problem with this. Instructions are useless. Didnt say to unplug and doesnt provide a model number for the bulb. Consequently, we have now purchased 5 different bulbs and they dont work. Tested socket and power is going to it. Rep at Ace Hardware said he had heard about this happening several times and provided what was to be the correct bulb -- didnt work.

Bought va washer. Trying to upgrade. Water fills about 1/3 of way even on bulky setting. Supposed to be high efficiency. Detergent does not get all the way out because there is no enough water. Have to put it through 2 rinse cycles. Worst machine. Design is flawed. Clothes all wrinkled. I cant afford to buy clothes and have them ruined. Man must have designed. Hate the washer. Im poor and they want take it back... want my money back. I cant buy washer every day. I will keep on complaining. No customer service. People just put you off. It is a Centennial high efficiency. we have trouble with maytag doublre oven. the oven is over 100 degree off set temp and is not consitant. some times high some times low. we have had ae repair out they relaced control board and circuit board same problem still exists. we had turner repair out they took a reading when it hit desires temp but did not stay to see temp rise above or below set temp. turner repair another tech order a temp probe the turner tech put in probe and jst left didnot even check oven. he was pissed off I quess. same problem still exisits. We bought stove from Nebraka furniture mart the said theyont support repair after 30 days. we hope and pray that the tech will report to Maytag (Whirlpool) that the stove is bad and we can get a new one. So far no repair action has helped. We had a repair person out to repair a leak on a whirlpool washer . he also is qualified on stove but not a whirlpool repair authorized repair person. He checkedd the stove and said it is 100 degees off and we need to get a new one. We purchased this oven (MGR5775QDS ) along with a Refrigerator/Freezer, Dishwasher and Microwave on 2007 when we remodeled our kitchen. Since then the Refrigerator had to be serviced twice, the Dishwasher had a recall for fire safety - repaired, but I still have a scorched bottom tray, and the oven after self cleaning once has warped and the racks will not hold anything with any weight without collapsing. Maytag sent me new racks about a year ago, but that didnt help. I grill most of my meals or cook on the stovetop but on the rare occasion we try and use the oven it’s a nightmare. We lost a Thanksgiving Turkey and Easter Ham and recently a lasagna and a glass pan. Every time we have one of these events I search the internet in hopes that there has been some kind of recall on this model. It’s not safe. When the 20 lb turkey came crashing down, my wife was nearly burned by the juices that splattered and the house filled up with smoke. Happy Thanksgiving from Maytag - everyone go stand outside in the cold for 1/2 an hour while we clear out the smoke in the house. Recently when the rack collapsed and hot lasagna came crashing down, the glass/pyrex tray broke and left a huge bubbly mess in the bottom of the oven. Yay Maytag, thanks again - ruined a dinner, broke a dish and since we can’t use the self clean option, spent the rest of the evening scrubbing out the oven... and eating takeout food on Valentine’s Day. Sounds like the perfect Romantic evening right? I am so sickened with this company. We purchased all Maytag appliances because of their reputation. But now they dont even stand behind their products. What a shame.

I have a MFX2570AEM French door refrigerator. Like many others on this site I have ice building up under the freezer drawer. Water also leaks onto the floor. We keep a towel there constantly. We bought this refrigerator along with a dishwasher and microwave, all Maytag and have been disappointed with all of them. We thought Maytag made quality appliances, but my experience tells a different story. I havent called for service yet, but will later today.

We purchased our Neptune washer and dryer combo MLG2000AWW from Circuit City in 1999 for $1900 also purchased the extended warranty. Here we are 15 years later and time to replace with new Samsung units. Besides having the main bearing replaced after 6 years in service, and having a sensor and a switch replaced on two separate occasions all covered by the warranty, our Neptune provided exceptional service throughout the 15 years. My understanding was that Maytag was bought out and run very poorly in the early 2000s as our unit was produced prior to that time... when Maytag was Maytag.

I bought Tapan gas stove last year, but all your ranges have a problem. Whenever we clean the range, it never goes straight stay up ,even when I bought from Lowes Store and I told them they said that defect from manufacturer. You have to correct your manufacturers defect, I want an answer as soon as possible. Thank you.

350.00 dollars for repair on a 3 1/2 year old washing machine. Machine wont finish spinning and lid lock keeps flashing on and off and sometimes stays off. Never finishes spinning. A lot of complaints on this! This should be recalled! Always was a Maytag customer but no more!

We purchased a home one year ago. It has all Maytag appliances that were anywhere from one year old to two years old. The Neptune LE washer is not working as of today. This washer is supposed to be the top of the line, and because it is almost three years old, it is no longer under warranty. This washer will fill with water but does not spin or rinse the clothes. We paid a lot for this home and were so happy to get appliances that were all practically new. Now, we refused to have a repairman come and charge us lots of money to fix a washer that should not be broken. I have had washers run for 15 years and that was when I was washing clothes for 6 people, including cloth diapers for triplets! I will not buy any Maytag appliances. I will be getting an Amana or a Sears brand. Please, no one go buy a Maytag appliance.

We are in the process of replacing the 2nd control board in the past 2 years (have has this dishwasher for 3 yrs) on our Maytag dishwasher model MD87749AWW1. The lights on the panel completely quit working mid cycle. At $175 per replacement, we are into repairs for half of what we paid for the dishwasher. Bought Maytag because it is made in the USA but found out that a majority of the parts are imported from China? Very disappointing.

I have now owned my highly efficient and low-cost to operate washing machine for 6 years. It is a top loader and uses HC detergents.This means the washer needs minimal soap to clean the clothes. I especially appreciate the different types of loads such as deep cleaning or regular cleaning. The washer has sensors that evaluate the size of the load and thus only utilize the amount of water necessary. I really like the quietness and being able to get the very best wash because the washer does exactly what it needs to do. It has more than been the appliance that I had hoped for. Love it! It maintains itself.

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Not a good value for the money!! That was the first time and last time I buy a Maytag... Thats the last $5000 they will get from us!

The last Maytag washer was great, the dryer not so much, but I was able to repair it. This Bravos is sorry. 4 years old and the tube goes bad is not what you would expect from Maytag. Consequences, no more Maytag or GE for that matter, that dont leave many brands to choose from.

Purchased matched set washer/dryer on May 21, 2013, machine always took over 1 hour to dry medium load of laundry, but dealt with it. On June 5, 2014 made a horrible bang, followed by a grinding sound, ran to turn off. Hubby took apart, thanks to Youtube video and found that a screw was lodged in the fan blade, had broken a tooth and the motor mount broken....took fully apart, ordered fan blade to replace. When went to put back together, realized the WALL (bulkhead) of the dryer was broken, metal was too thin to support the tiny bracket to hold the motor.Called Maytag, NO HELP, told me to call a local repair guy for an after warranty service. Called repair company and was told he has NEVER seen this in a newer model dryer, contact Maytag, contacted them again by live chat and told not under warranty and no one has ever had this problem. Do NOT buy anything from Maytag. THEY DO NOT BACK THEIR PRODUCTS! If you have had this problem contact me, Im willing to spend a day or two in small claims if necessary to prove my point!

We bought a Maytag Bravo model top washer recently and have no good things to say about it. The startup time is too long and clothes are coming out with lint all over them now. If the unit could be returned we would do it immediately but we cannot.

Horrible Refrigerator MSB27C2XAM00. I bought this refrigerator November 2013. Over the past 5 months I have made over 10 calls to Maytag customer service. Each phone call averages 30-45 minutes in length. In total I have and have had 6 service repair visits. Within 4 weeks of acquiring the unit, the letters on the ice/water dispenser wore off. They replaced the panel and within 4 weeks the letters wore off on the replacement panel. The subsequent calls made to customer service were regarding slow water dispensing and shrinking ice cubes. I was advised in order to maintain water speed and decent sized ice cube production I would have to replace the filter every time the water dispensing slows, which is on average every 4 to 6 weeks (each filter costs $40).When I asked why I would have to change the filter so frequently when the packaging instructions with the water filter states you can expect an average of 6 months use or 200 gallons, (mind you we are a family of 2 adults and one child under the age of 10 surely not consuming 200 gallons of water within 4 weeks), Maytag advised me to attain a whole house water filtration system. I was told that the water supply to my home must require extra filtration which is why the filters are not lasting. I asked if other NYC residents have made such complaints. Maytag advised they cannot share this information for confidentiality reasons. I told the rep that I did not want specific names/address of the complainants. I just wanted to know if there were any other similar complaints! If its the NYC water supply I would have to believe there would be similar complaints. Maytag would not advise.They will not budge in replacing the unit. After spending $1,400 on this refrigerator I am now expected to invest $500 annually on water filters in order for the refrigerator to work properly. I was also advised that if another service tech came to my home and the issue was found to be the same I would be responsible for payment of the service call. I did my research before purchasing this Maytag product. I ultimately selected Maytag for their reputation. I am so disappointed with this unit and with the company that I will never purchase another Maytag appliance and I will advise everyone I know to never purchase from this company again. Such a disappointment!

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

We bought a Bravos model in May 2010. Two years later, the machine started making noise during the final spin cycle. We finally called a repairman who came today and informed us it was a bearing in the outer drum. The cost for the part (the drum assembly) was $290, not to mention the cost for labor. Since we only got the original warranty, the service center at Maytag refused to help with the repair. We, as others who have had problems with Maytag, bought the washer because of Maytags reputation. This is why we have to buy extended service warranties. Companies make trash! What happened to the days when an appliance lasted longer than 10 years? Why cant we buy a good sturdy appliance without superficial bells and whistles? We have no idea if any other brand is better, but we will not buy another Maytag.

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. ???? If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. ????

The refrigerator is not keeping cold. The freezer is full of frost/ice. I had this fridge looked at twice in the past. Its about 6-7 years old.In the past, Maytag was considered a high end product. I wonder where the manufacturing is taking place for most of the parts. Could be it was cheaper to go overseas and now we are all paying for unacceptable products.I will never purchase Maytag. Maytag should be selling products they can stand behind! Products that are made in the USA, where our standards are higher and we expect products that work!

Purchased this dishwasher about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Luckily the first two times the control panel went out, it was still under warranty (within the first year). Now its gone out again! This is the third time! What happens is all the buttons will work except for the START and CANCEL. This has been the same issue every time. I tried restarting it, made sure there was not a leak that somehow was getting to the internal electrical components in the panel. I actually know the Maytag repairman by name. Its nothing like those old commercials where the Maytag repairman sits around and has all the time in the world because their products never break. Those days are over and these guys are busy working to fix these devices they label as dishwashers. Since my warranty is now expired, it was an unexpected $96 service call to tell me what I already knew - Its your panel again sir, it needs to be replaced. Well have to order one for you and itll be $265 for parts and labor plus the $96 service call = $361 repair for something that will likely break again in a few months. Never am I buying a Maytag product again.

My dishwasher is less than 2 years old. Dishwasher will go on when we are not in the house. Cant control the panel. The control panel lights all come, have to cancel to stop the machine. This could be a fire hazard.

I Hate this machine. It does an inferior job and I wish I never bought it. Our Bravos XL washer was purchased in spring. It left white residue constantly on my clothes. Even WORSE, the machine wrinkled the permanent press so the clothes had to be ironed before wearing. (I rarely had this with my last washer). I used the machine settings correctly and I called the company and basically...was told, Youre out of luck. I hoped that it would improve but No Way! Dont purchase this machine, dont waste your $$$.

Would give them 0 Stars if that was an option. Bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Aug 2021. Washer broke Jan 6 2022. Called Maytag/Whirlpool on Jan 6 as it was still under warranty. They only had one service company in our area to work on the washer. I called them and it took them 10 days to come see what is wrong. Ordered parts. Said it would be 2 weeks. We are now 6 weeks into this with no parts. Called customer service and they said they were notified that their service company needed a part and would take another 21 days to resolve. Talked to a supervisor (Demetrius) who sounded like he did NOT want to be in that position. Offered no solution other than we will just have to wait. Threw a 3 month extension for the warranty on which still does not fix the problem. Sad to see this company go down the tubes as it was once a pretty decent business with solid products. No longer.

The engineering of all these new machines are totally useless. Bring back the old tech. They DRY wash, NO WATER, they take forever to finish, wasting energy, clothing not cleaned. They are very noisy, doing nothing. Time to recall all of these units. They are totally useless.

The big problem is Lowes and Home Dopey, I mean Depot. I am an appliance repairman for 30 years. Their machines are built to a lower spec. Buying same machine from mom n pop store will help! Will cost you more but it will last longer with less repairs! P.S., While Maytag does make some of their own appliances, when Whirlpool bought Maytag years ago they shut down the Newton, Iowa plant. Whirlpool builds that washer and puts Maytags name on it. If you want a good washer buy a Speed Queen, go online and check their reviews! One more thing, LG and Samsung build terrible appliances. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them, just saying!

You would be better off going to the river and washing your clothes with rocks. Piece of junk. Maytag will have you believe that the six inches of water this washer uses to clean a comforter is enough. I would like to know which individuals in the dept of energy thought this water saving feature was a novel idea. What use is a giant washer tub if it doesn’t have enough water. Sorry Maytag, my clothes used to come out clean with your old model, now I spend hours trying to figure out ways to get this washer to clean. Currently I am using the clean washer cycle for my comforters and then using the deep water cycle. So it takes about four hours to do a load of clothes. Thanks Maytag! This Maytag Bravos XL washer stinks.

Products spoiling even if set at recommended temperature. Hard to clean bottom freezer. Not happy with this configuration. Had to have repairmen in because of stopped up drain which I could not access to clean myself. Does not close completely at times.

I bought this washer 2 years ago, it has always been noisy and not cleaned or rinsed my clothes very well. With dark clothes, I have to rinse them twice if not three times. Now it has quit throwing out the water all together and is not rinsing the clothes at all. Paid $72 for a repair man to hook it up to his computer and tell me there was nothing wrong with it. Told me it was how I was loading it. I dont think so. Now I have to replace a two-year old machine. I will buy a basic machine that only washes my clothes this time. Nothing is made to last these days.

Lets see... my complaints are the same as the others. I purchased the Maytag Bravos set. They were the higher end units. At first, the machine was very quiet. I quickly had a control board go out. Got that fixed. Now the washer gets off balance on every load.... Every time it spins, it stop. The gears whine very loudly... Louder than any other machine Ive ever heard. I agree with the comments on wrinkled clothes. It also does not clean heavily soiled clothes as well either. Overall, a bad decision.

We updated our 25 years old dishwasher, which ironically still worked, to a Maytag we bought at a BrandsMart in GA in November 2010. Sixteen months later, the unit just died. The panel would light up, but would not run. We contacted Maytag and were assigned a repairman (The Appliance Guy) who could not come to fix the dishwasher until 5 days later. Once he finally showed up, I was informed by him that the control panel for the dishwasher had two shorts in it and it would be cheaper for me to just buy a new dishwasher because the repair to this one would be $344.44. When I contacted the customer service for Maytag, they offered to let me pay for the repairs and then they would give me a six month service warranty for free. Does that make sense to anyone? I could buy a totally different brand, brand-spanking-new and have a twelve month warranty with a better product. I asked to speak with Cheris boss and got to speak with Aaron, who offered me the same spiel. Heavily scripted, I apologize that you are dissatisfied, but all we can do is give you the service warranty for six months after you pay for the repair. I asked him if he was reading a script and he replied no. Now I know that he had probably repeated these same words twenty times a day. Heres a thought, Maytag claims to be a green company, using less electricity and water, and saving the customers money and yet they are filling up all the landfills with these appliances that are not even five years old. How is that being a green company?You know how when you buy a nice new button-up shirt? The makers of that good quality shirt go ahead and sew an extra button on the inside bottom part of the shirt because they know that theres a chance youll lose a button. Well, Im thinking that Maytag should just start shipping a couple extra control panels in every box of Maytag dishwashers. Crazy idea, right? Okay, so an easier and cheaper way for Maytag to correct the problem is to stop making dishwashers. Go back to the drawing board, make the engineer who designed the control panel wash everyones dishes (as punishment and he can get help from the customer service people because theyre really doing nothing), start building the old design dishwasher that has the old switch and dial, and start respecting their customers. There, problems solved!

We bought a refrigerator June 4th 2014. 6 month ago the freezer and refrigerator was getting warm. Had to call repair service, it was the blower! On Saturday 12/9/17 freezer wasnt freezing, then fridge was clicking on and off. Unplugged it, called repair service, it was the compressor. $800.00 to fix it, the same amount as when we purchased it. Repair service told us to call Maytag, he said, Maybe they will help you, would not help at all. Talked to Lori, all she said was warranty is up after a year, I then said, I think a refrigerator should last longer than 3 years! Will never buy anything Maytag again! Yes Maytag does SUCK!!!

Wish it was a French door style instead of freezer on top. Not good if you are tall. Other than that we are pleased with it but will look to trade for a French door style.

I have a new Centennial Maytag dryer. What a horrible sound it makes when the time is up!!! I had another Maytag dryer for 19 years and it did not sound as obnoxious as this new one. HELP!! I can tell some man invented it.

MF12665XEM7 - Maytag Refrigerator purchased from Home Depot. We initially thought it to be a good value until it started leaking puddles of water onto the floor to the front sides of the bottom freezer drawer. This event repeated itself and I feared the water would seep between the floor tiles and begin to degrade the sub flooring or possibly cause mold as well. Upon further investigation of lying on my side and pulling the bottom drawer open, I felt, what I thought to be ice on the bottom of the refrigerators floor. I gently inserted a smooth butter knife and with a nudge, a whole sheet of ice about one half inch thick, lifted from the refrigerator floor. I have since had to repeat this about every three weeks or so. Im nearing retirement and shouldnt have to lay on my floor like this to protect my floor and to keep my wife and I from a potential hazard of a slip and fall from this water on the floor! Dependability People? Hardly! I think they got outsourced! Im disgusted! Thank you!

My dishwasher, purchased in 2013 sings the same tune as many of these complaints...stopped working correctly, turned on whenever it wanted to, etc. Thought it was the cpu...no. Called Whirlpool and they gave me the same runaround that they give everyone...more money for a temporary fix. Did some more research that led me here and discovered that the ribbon cable leading to the control panel was fried due to heat and moisture. Easy to check for yourself... looks like brown crap on the cable...if you have a meter, you can easily check it. Tried to repair it, very difficult, but I tried. NEWS?...I wrote a complaint to the Better Business B... and mentioned that this is a safety issue, which it is.Believe it or not, just received a call from the corporate office (Whirlpool) and they were interested...I actually got their attention. They said they would have someone contact me... she did today... so this is encouraging. I dont know what they are offering, but this poor design is a serious problem, and if you want to get in Whirlpools face better go through the BBB. I already have purchased a new part and am adding silicone to the cable to protect it from the heat...but Im really seeking full reimbursement because this is not going to end well. Good luck...

I purchased this refrigerator 1 1/2 yrs. ago. The refrigerator stopped getting cold about 3 months after warranty expired. I called Maytag company and told them how disappointed with their product and also how angry I was after spending $1500 only 18 months ago and now it is useless! They kept asking me if I bought the extended warranty and I said I didnt think I would have to after buying a brand new product. And then it breaks so soon!! And now they want me to spend an additional $359 to get the warranty... what a racket! She told me to look under the fridge for leaks. Sorry I cant, Im disabled. She said too bad and would have service man call me but that would be even more expensive. Woops, disconnected.

3 years into the buying of a Maytag Bravos XL MCT washing machine (Serial # **) and already had to replace the original control panel for a cost of $400+ in less than 2 years of the buy. Now AGAIN the replaced control panel is now once again shot and the machine is not starting. The appliance needs to have a #manufacturers recall for the control panel. #Maytag #Whirpool #BetterBusinessBureau Note -- all existing customers, please lodge manufacturers complaint for the control panel issues @ 1-800-344-1274. (Even if you dont pay because of extended warranty or plan coverage, if you are facing the control panel issue year on year). All future customers, buy this appliance at your own risk.

I have a Maytag Series 3000 washing machine which, as many knows, is the same as a Kenmore. I bought the set 23 months ago and since then, I have had nothing but trouble. In my first three months of ownership, I had my first error code of which I had to replace the hot/cold water valve. Fortunately, the unit was under warranty. Since then, I have had to replace the CCU and MCU twice. Now, the units MCU went out again! Whatever happened to the Maytag name? How can I get this permanently fixed or replaced? Is there a lemon law for appliances? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I bought my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 08 or 09, and it has smelled like mold and mildew for years but I still have to use it because I cant afford to get a new one. I cant get the smell out. Also, I have to take the pump apart at least once a year due to the fact that sometimes, no matter how you check your pockets, change still gets left behind and they dont make a screen or filter that will keep the change out of the pump. It is not hard to do, but the first year I had it, it were in the service center as much as it was home. I was glad when someone told me what was happening because I fix it myself in like 15 minutes and move on. But it should come with a self service manual showing how to do this procedure to save people money.

I purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door model the middle of 2006. While cleaning the French doors with the cleaning product given to me with the purchase of the new fridge, I notice what looked like coffee on the doors. It wasnt, it was rust on the stainless steel doors. I called the service tech and they came out. Rubbing the fridge, he told me it wasnt rust. He took a closer look and found that it was in fact rust. He called his office; they told him that rusting on the doors has been an issue lately. He charged me $65.00 for what I already knew. I called Maytag and it took a while, but they decided to send new doors. However, I had to have a Maytag rep install it, which would cost me. I didnt have it done. Two years later in 2010, the French doors felt hot to the touch and the inside was warm and not cooling. The freezer was fine. I called for a tech to come out and it’s another $65.00 to fix a fan motor that blows cool air from the bottom to the top. Oh, it’s not under warranty because it wasnt inside with the motor. Total cost: $235.00. In 2010, I woke up and opened the fridge to get milk out. It was warm and so was the inside of the fridge. I thought it was the same problem, but the freezer also was warm. Upset and not wanting to pay for this again, I unplugged the thing and started using a little fridge that I have stored in the basement. It has no freezer. Today, I finally got over being pissed and decided that I would have a tech come out and find out and finally fix it. The tech said that the compressor has failed and it would cost $790.00 to fix. Im not having it fixed, so it’s another $65.00 gone. The tech said that the compressor in Maytags/Whirlpools has been a pretty big issue lately. All I can say is that I will not ever purchase Whirlpool products again. From inside to the outside, this product has been unsatisfactory. I just noticed that the rubber is failing on one of the French doors. Wake up, Whirlpool. Model number is MFD2561HES.

I have a French door fridge Maytag like everyone else. The bottom freezes over and I have to de-ice it. Now the freezer doesnt want to cool. Its 3 years old. Total piece of junk.

I purchased this Maytag washer/dryer set in February 2017 and I am very, very happy with it. This is a brand that has proven dependable for more than 80+ years. This is a low water washer that saves money on energy bills. I love the extra large capacity and was very concerned how well it would clean without an agitator. But having confidence in the name, which is why I purchased this set, I was very pleased with the cleaning power. The only disadvantage I see is with the soak cycle which is timed. I would like to have an option to soak indefinitely. So if you are trying to remove blood stains, you may have to use the soak cycle a few times before all the blood is removed. (Assuming that you are only using cold water and no additives.)

I have purchased my top loader Bravos washing machine 3 1/2 years ago and I have had nothing but troubles with my machine. I have had to replace the motherboard twice and I constantly have that foul smell in all our clothes. I have to wash each load twice and still the smell doesnt come out. I have also complained numerous times about the water level not being correct, but they keep saying that is how the high efficiency machine is. I can watch my load washing because we have the clear lid which I like. But at the same time, it gets me really angry seeing how this doesnt clean clothes like it should. I dont believe that the water levels are right at all. I have clothes that dont even get turned over as they are washing and I have even smaller loads than before. I can only clean 4 adult pairs of jeans at one time and I still think that is too much. I clean my machine every time the red light turns on with the Affresh tablets and sometimes I run a clean cycle with just bleach. Maytag has done nothing to try and correct these problems. Its so sad that I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to go wash them and there I have absolutely no problems. They have the HE front loaders and they have enough water to wash my clothes and I can actually see them being washed. I will never buy a Maytag washer or dryer again. How sad you have all these complaints and no one to help you fix or correct them the right way.

Bravos XL Like so many others Ive read, this is a terrible product. Washer constantly goes off on unbalanced load. After 14 months, the plastic tub disintegrated. Maytag tried to sell me the service and extend a warranty for $300 also. Just like all the other reviews. Wow, has Maytag gone downhill.

I purchased a set of Bravos 4 months ago and what a bad purchase! I wish I would have researched here first. Being environmentally concerned, I bought it because it was supposed to be high efficiency and low water usage. My clothes are being destroyed by this machine. They come out in a massive tangled ball, covered in ink and animal hair (after a wash or two, they are completely embedded into the fibers). Sometimes there are dry spots after I take a load out of the washing machine. No idea how that could happen. It torn my favorite sweater, ripped sheets, bore a hole in a towel, ripped pillows, and DOESNT EVEN CLEAN! I have to wash my clothes twice MANY times to get the dirt out which doesnt bode well for energy efficiency. Im calling them again today to try and get them returned for advertising that they will save me money. Not even close! They are a rip off! I gave my 35 year old set away and wish I had it back! Maytag is JUNK!!!

This washer (Model# MVWB765FW1) will not wash your clothes. Its not designed to give enough water for washing. That means some clothes will still be dry after agitator cycle; seriously. Thank you Maytag for going green! The repairman will tell you the machine is working according to design. That is true but the machine is a fraud as a clothes washing machine. The weight of the clothes in the tub tells the computer how much water to apply; good luck with that. We learned that if we add a bucket and a half of water, the clothes will come clean. Do you want to do that? Maytag used to be a good name.

I bought this range Nov 2019, beautiful range that’s it. Stove top scratches very easily and hard to clean. Oven racks rust, got them replaced on the guaranty they still rust. Oven dirty never gets clean, If I could afford it I would on the curbside. I wouldn’t even give it away. 3 oven in 48 years of marriage, worst oven ever.... Sure would like a full refund, I mean 1500. What a ripoff.

I have a stainless steel dishwasher, model MDBH985AWS10. Its about 5 years old. The control panel works intermittently -- Ive replaced and ruled out the door latch -- now Ive got the problem narrowed down to either the control panel or the circuit board. Ive read about this diagnostic cycle I could run to try to help diagnose the problem. I emailed Maytag for the code and waited a week and didnt get a response.I called them today and they said they cant give me the code--they only give that to their technicians. My dishwasher is not brand new, but I paid good money for it, and Id prefer to not have to guess what to buy when Im trying to repair it. Each of these parts costs about $150. Im not sure what the policy is for other dishwasher manufacturers, but for the next washer I buy, Ill find a company that either 1) has more reliable products or 2) at least tries to help the customer repair his own equipment.
