I purchased a Maytag gas stove. Right away I noticed the oven racks would sag in the middle pulling the back corners to pull away from sides dropping the rack down on top of rack below. I got a hold of Maytag and they sent me out a set of 3 new oven racks that were exactly the same as the ones I had. I have been fighting with them for years. I called Whirlpool today who make Maytag and was told its off warranty and that I can order another set of oven racks at a cost to me. They would be the same as I have. The racks are so cheaply made and cannot stand even a few pounds. The finish on the stove also chips very easily. You rub a pan up against it and it scratches the white porcelain off. I spent a lot of money buying the dream gas stove I had thought, but only to be unsatisfied with my purchase. Buyer beware of Maytag products.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos series washer and dryer recently. I love the dryer but the washer does not clean the clothes. I have to wash twice if I want it clean. It does not get the stains out and does not use enough water to rinse the clothes. It also does not use enough water to wash/clean the clothes. I ended up washing all the loads on bulky which fills the washer with water. It still doesnt agitate enough to get things clean. I am extremely disappointed in the Maytag product which I always thought was top of the line.

Shortly after having this appliance custom wired and installed into the kitchen cabinets above our gas range, we found that the microwave no longer worked. The window where the digital clock shows the time instead Showed SE. I hit the clear button and the microwave once again worked. This happened again on many occasions and the clear button corrected this malfunction. Now this has happened once again but nothing Ive attempted clears the System Error or reboots the microwaves brain. Ive contacted many appliance repairmen but as soon as I mention Maytag they inform me not to repair the microwave as it costs more to repair than to replace. Ive attempted to purchase a new circuit board and repair it myself but no one has the part available. This appliance was purchased in April, 2009. Can anyone recommend a Microwave Brand as a replacement for this disappointment?

I bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2013. In late November 2014, I noticed water on the floor in front of the fridge. I called the Maytag customer service and reported the problem.. The customer service rep explained to me that Maytag discovered a design flaw in the part that allows the water to drain when going through the defrost cycle. I also called Home Depot. Their response was it was my problem because the fridge was out of warranty and I did not buy an extended warranty plan. After two more calls to Maytag, they scheduled a service appointment. The service repairman told me the same thing about the design flaw. I have the old part and the package the new part was in. The two parts are completely different. I requested that Maytag or Home Depot replace the fridge or give me credit for the amount I spent. Maytag is now saying there was not a design flaw and because of that, Home Depot refuses to replace the appliance. I will never buy another Maytag product or shop at Home Depot. The extended warranty is a way to place the responsibility directly on the consumer and eliminating the responsibility of the manufacturer and the store.

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

Has had problems with machine being off-balance and clothes getting clean. 3 years and now the machine is broken. Too costly to get repaired. Warranty only covers very specific things. Have had Maytags repair person come out and he did not access the problem properly. What a waste of time and money! Says it needs a very expensive part which with labor and parts cost almost as much as machine.

I have a two year old version of this dishwasher (MDB894995BB3) and now the start and cancel light on the control panel stopped working. I now see that this is a common theme with this model and I feel it is their obligation to repair these units with permanent fix and not the same thing that will fail again. I have 3 different Maytag appliances all bought 2 years ago from Home Depot and they are all broken. I will never buy a Maytag product again. I might replace this dishwasher as I know it will fail again. 2 years on a dishwasher is a complete failure. Unreliable Junk. Do not buy Maytag.

MF12665XEM7 Maytag Fridge water runs on the floor: After reading the review and watching the video to fix, I called Maytag. They refused to help. We bought our fridge at Nebraska Furniture Mart. We have spent a lot of money with them too. My husband called to see if they would split the cost of the service call. They refused. My floor is ruined from the water leakage onto it when we are not home. We try to catch the ice buildup and remove it before it is an issue. Why is there no class action suit? There is definitely a problem with this fridge and Im seeing it online everywhere I look.

We love our Maytag Dishwasher! It's very durable, doesn't use a lot of water and really gets our dishes exceptionally clean. The best part is that it sterilizes on the final cycle! We've long trusted any Maytag appliance in our families for generations.

My Daughter got me a Maytag oven with the AquaLift technology and is a piece of Junk. Half the time the Water is still there when the cycle is over. The water has made it between the front glass pieces and the finish on the top of the stove looks horrible, it just looks dirty. The knobs are cheap and the fake chrome finish is flaking off. Unfortunately Im stuck with it because I cant afford a new one... this was a gift to me because Im disabled and it was to make my life easier.

My microwave is just 3 yrs old. SE error. Yeah, what a crock...Such junk. However, if we would just manufacture everything in the USA not only would we get better quality, but we would have more jobs. USA stop selling out to cheaper countries and pumping out more volume for less overhead.

Fire Danger. We had a power outage and my Maytag gas range/double oven (Model: MGR6875ADS) was dead after the power came back on. We figured it was the control board and braced for the expense to replace it. A few days later, I plugged the oven back in just to see if it would work and it did! The control panel came back on and we were up and running. The good news end there. On Christmas Eve, we came home to a house full of smoke with fire alarms buzzing. A butcher block style cutting board that was on top of the range with Santas cookies on it was on fire. Twenty more minutes and the house would have been gone.

My boyfriend and I just recently purchased a Maytag brand washer and dryer set. So far, we are thrilled with our purchase. We got front load units that have an XL barrel so we can use it to wash comforters and larger loads. I have washed many loads and so far, havent noticed a longer time to wash or any issues. I love the fact that my clothes are all getting equally as clean and I can be sure that my items will not be torn or ripped in the process. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWB2 in Dec. 2011 from Home Depot after a major flood destroyed my entire first floor of my house. I had replaced a previous dishwasher only a short time before the flood. This dishwasher is JUNK. I was lucky I bought a five year extended warranty on it which actually gave me 6 years. I needed it. Within a year the control panel went. Then water started spraying out the side of door. Then it sounded like it was crushing ice every time I ran it. Then the control panel went out again. Ice noise came back again. Control panel a 3rd time. It runs for hours as it is.Now the warranty is expired and last time I ran it the start light was blinking a few hours later. We were having high winds on and off so I thought maybe the power went on and off and that’s why it was blinking. Today I turned it on and after about 45 minutes I realized I didn’t hear it running anymore so I got up and looked and sure enough it wasn’t on. Normally the clean light is lit when done. I opened the dishwasher to see it filled with water still. I tried to hit cancel/drain but nothing works yet again. Wonderful news for a single mom that can’t afford to fix this over and over! Maytag is the worse company. Their dishwashers are horrible and they should be doing something about this as I’m not the only one that has had this issue. Home Depot was just as useless. Will NEVER buy again.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

I have a Maytag side by side. In the first year, the ice maker failed and I had to replace it (in warranty/no charge). In the fifth year, the compressor failed (no warranty) and it hasnt been replaced. Since then, I have been looking at reviews and warranties of new refrigerators. The warranties (unless you want to pay $3,000+) are all one year limited. The reviews are scathing and it doesnt matter what brand. My question is, why dont you/we all get together and file a class action suit and demand millions in damages? Complaining wont get you anywhere with these people; however, hitting them in the pocket book will make them pay attention, especially if the penalty is severe enough.

I have Maytag Neptune washer and dryer that was purchased in 2002. Theyre still going strong. Its a great size for empty nesters like us, but if you have a big family, you might want to consider a larger capacity.

The glass shelves stop 2 1/2 inches from the back of the refrigerator. Things keep falling down in back. I have a counter depth. Cant afford to lose any space. Freezer poorly designed for space compared to one I had before.

I inherited the Maytag Bravo washing machine when I got married... should have stuck with my LG! The Bravo does not clean clothes properly, I have to wash fewer items in each wash and wash them on the power cycle! Wasting time, water, and electricity! Will be purchasing a different brand!

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

I bought a Maytag MEDB835DW0 s/n M51202974 just about 2 months ago brand new. After less than 2 months it malfunctioned that it would not start. I called the customer service center on Sept 11, 2015 to report my problem. The rep I got was polite and caring and said she would keep on top of this. On Monday I called the customer service again to get an update. They could not locate one of the authorized repair people. The one they found did call me back but I was out of their service area and would not service my dryer. I was told that my problem was turned over to their Maytag/Whirlpool research or resource to find a repair and I would be advised within 7 days. They did give me options, I could take my clothes to a laundromat, which is 17 miles away where I love and they wont pay for my gas. Or I could get my own repair center but they would only cover up to $150 of the repair in labor cost and the part would have to come from Maytag/Whirlpool center. Then I would have to send my invoice to Maytag/Whirlpool for reimbursement. Now a company that cant get me a company to fix my dryer is going to send me my money back to me in a timely manner? I dont think so... Now on Monday after talking to the customer service I got a request to fill out a survey of my experience. I filled it in with details and today they called me from the corporate off in Benton Harbor regarding my survey. Well I finally thought I would have some action on this... Oh no was I wrong, they wanted to know why I filled it that way. I told them that this is a warranty issue. They did not offer me anything new but the same crap that the customer service offered. I now have a dryer less than 2 months old that I paid cash for. I am also 70 years old and on a fixed income as I explained to the Benton Harbor. It is quite evident that they could care less about customer service and their warranty. They do advertise on TV the Maytag repairman. Trust me this person does not exist and now I have $700+ item that I should put out on my lawn, take off the door and use it as a planter... and have a sign on THIS IS MAYTAG. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. I am so frustrated with this issue I want to scream.

On 8/26/16, we purchased a top-of-the-line Maytag dishwasher from Lowes of Palm Bay, Fl. It began leaking water out one side shortly after installation. Because of a hospitalization, we were not able to report the problem to Lowes until the first part of December. A repairman from Brandts in Sebastian, Fl. came out on 12/6/16 and said it might be the door gasket, but he did not have a new one with him and if it continued, to call back. I called again and another repairman from Brandts came out on 1/3/17. He said it was out of square and he took out 2 screws and said to cut back on detergent because too many suds could cause it to leak (which we find ludicrous). Now it leaks on both sides. This is not a small leak; it soaks the bath towel we put under the door. On 1/11/17 Brandts sent 2 repairmen out and they claimed we needed to cut way back on detergent and put in a capful of salad oil because our water softener is causing the suds which causes the leak. We now use 1/2 teaspoon of detergent and the capful of salad oil. It is still leaking. Our previous Kitchen Aid dishwasher never leaked and we used the recommended amount of detergent in it. We are apparently stuck with a brand-new dishwasher that cannot be fixed. We will NEVER buy another Maytag appliance.

I had six service calls, one was a few months after purchase when under warranty for loud noise. I bought it in 08 and since then during the last 6 months, its freezing in the refrigerator. Service person is upset. I contacted corporate and they do not care and told me I should have bought their warranty. Yes, they had to be here when it was under warranty. Still freezing, they played with air hoses, replaced the temp panel and did everything they can, with no results. Theyre giving it one more try and it is going to be hooked up to the Silverado and put on I-75 with a sign on it. Do not buy from this company. Terrible service. I emailed CEO and no response. I just tossed a tomato and strawberry on the tile floor. Yes, buy American. They moved their plant from Indiana (union) to I think TN for non-union. Well, get what you pay for and the employees get what they are paid for. I work in the building business and everyone knows not to buy this product! Just throwing your money away. One good thing is if you like frozen beverages, this is the product to buy! Never again! Receipts in hand! Romney probably owns the stock! LOL

The washer we bought has a leaking drain pump after 3 years. When I called, they initially told me the part has been flagged as a potential quality issue. When I was passed to the next level to deal with it, they stuck to the you only have a 1 year warranty policy. There are numerous websites indicating this has been an issue for these brands. Simply put, they dont stand behind their products.

We were delighted with our new Maytag refrigerator, model #MBF2258XEB, until the compressor died less than a year after we bought it. Home Depot, where we purchased it, directed us to the A&E Company for service. Two weeks later, we are still without refrigeration; Maytag refuses to replace it and even refused to overnight the new compressor. We thought Maytag set an industry standard for excellence. In a way, l feel fortunate and you will read why in a minute. l have been reading Maytag complaints specifically looking to see if what happened to me has happened to others. Apparently, it has. We purchased our Maytag range, model MER57750AB, in 2005. We too have had some repairs done under warranty. Unfortunately, we live in a day and age where technology isnt always our friend. The old appliances that were not electronically driven lasted forever; todays appliances do not. However, when something with potentially serious consequences happens that is not technology related, it rates in the who is the idiot who designed that? category. I am talking about the exploding exterior glass oven doors.Two weeks ago, the oven door handle on our range came unscrewed on one side. I continued using the appliance, planning on repairing it myself when l found the time. (I used to tinker around the garage with my dad when I was little and therefore, I have great repair skills in several areas.) Last week, I was standing in front of the stove when all of a sudden, the glass panel dropped from the door! It landed straight up on the floor and fell forward so the top edge of the glass landed on my toes (the toes that I had surgery on for six hammertoes last November and are still sore!). Needless to say, l was shocked that this happened, and even more so, I was grateful that it did not break or either of my two grandbabies were around at the time. Then, I looked at the glass and saw that it was attached to the door using only eight small pieces of double sided sticky mounting foam. I mean small! As I said before, idiot! Did they not think that the heat from the oven would eventually wear out the ability of the tape to do its job? I gave up reading after I found enough complaints about the mishaps with the glass on the oven doors to realize that there is a definite problem here. I did not see where the glass fell intact, as mine did. Therefore, I am suggesting that the exploding glass panels more than likely gave way, as mine did, and shattered when they hit the floor. Should there be a product recall for this? Absolutely! The question is how does a recall get put in motion? As others have stated, this could have been a horrible disaster had little ones been around. I pray that doesnt happen to anyone.

I purchased a Maytag fridge with a freezer on bottom. As you know there are many complaints regarding ice build-up in freezer causing leakage out onto the floor. I will not purchase Maytag again. For 3 years I have fought the ice buildup and it has ruined my floor! Poor design - should have been recalled!

Well I like all the other people have the very same problem. Ruined floor from sheet of ice that forms on the bottom tray daily. I was told I need a new main board which I understand is about $500.00. I am 55 years old and this was my first brand new fridge. I am so so upset. I grew up with the whole Maytag repairman commercials where he was so lonely cause he never had any repairs to do. All my life I grew up with these commercials. I thought I was buying the best. What a disappointment. It has been in my living room for 2 years. I keep thinking something wonderful is going to happen. Now I have to pay someone to haul it off. Great.

We purchased the Maytag Atlantis used (4 years old); it looked like new. When I opened the lid, I noticed a terrible smell like some left the clothes in the washer for days. I used white vinegar, baking soda, bleach, anything to try and get rid of the smell. Nothing worked. Finally, my husband took out the agitator and then the drum. Inside and around the drum was lint from all the years of washing clothes. He scraped it all off and bleached it and put it back together and it was okay for a while. It now smells again and I am afraid we will have to keep doing this or our clothes will always smell. I also leave the lid open after a wash so Im not attacked by the smell when we open it. I also had the Maytag Neptune front loader years ago, and the water pooled by the gasket on the door. That smelled too! We will be redoing our laundry area soon and will be shopping for a new washer and dryer. It will not be a Maytag!

My dishwasher racks are disintegrating. I called to see what to do or if there was a recall. I was told that problem happens a lot, but there is no recall or other option other than to purchase new racks. I could almost buy a new dishwasher. I bought Maytag so that it would last a long time with few repairs. That has not been the case with this dishwasher. I had a medium grade Sears’s dishwasher for years before I supposedly upgraded to a better dishwasher. Maytag is obviously an overpriced name and the quality of their product is no better than any other cheap dishwasher.

Purchased a new set of Maytag Bravos appliances in 2010. Washer lasted 3 years -- had a failed bearing and repairman said not worth fixing as tub would most likely also need to be replaced. Replaced with a new Speed Queen which has been operating trouble-free. Today dryer quit heating -- repair person stated it needs a new board -- not worth it to me. I am off to now purchase a new Speed Queen dryer. What happened to Maytag quality???

Maytag bravos xl - HORRIBLE at washing and cleaning the clothes. Broke a little after a year... Went to Maytag site, saw that they push 10 yr warranty. Transmission went out... but not covered?? Garbage.

We purchased a Maytag 4.2-cu ft High Efficiency Top Load Washer from Lowes. The pump went out within 6 weeks of purchase. Maytag could not get a technician to come to our area to fix the washer. They finally told me they would give me $150.00 for labor if I found someone to fix it. We ended up taking it to a Maytag certified repair shop. It cost us a $99.00 service fee. They ordered a new pump from Maytag, part cost 137.46. I called to get a reimbursement from Maytag and they denied my claim. Their reason I was told was because I didnt call the part in myself. I dont understand why they didnt even reimburse the $99.00. The washer was a lemon and Maytag did not honor their offer, nor the warranty. Very time consuming and bad experience.

I like my fridge. Its a old one and still works. Its been very reliable and have never had a problem with. I dont think I would ever purchase a different brand for Maytag is the brand for me. They last for years.

Purchased Maytag washer Centennial Econoserve washer. It was 2 years old Aug 2013. Washer stopped working Sept 16, 2013. Of course since it had Maytag name brand, I did not purchase extended warranty due to thinking it would at least last more than several years. I called Maytag/Whirlpool. They gave me name of authorized repair in our area. So far they have come out 2 times. $560.00 later, it is still not working and they have no answer as to how or what to do. We are now into $1300.00 between purchase and repairs and still no washer. We are retired hard working people and this is really a bad way to treat consumers. Maytag customer service could care less about the situation. They just say we should have purchased extended warranty.

After the 4th service call Maytag wanted a 2nd company to look at it. So on July 27th A&E out of Bristol, PA came out. He checked it out and said its not serviceable because theres a leak somewhere in the casing. Had to call KYW 3, On Your Side, they helped me get some progress. Jacqueline from corporate called and said they would replace it. It started on July 3 and now August 13 and still no fridge. Had my Maytag washer fixed, small problem. Parts came in a box marked Whirlpool for a Maytag washer from a Sears Warehouse. Plus the mechanic said my Maytag refrigerator is made by Amana. Buy American?

I have had my washer and dryer for more than 5 years. As normal, over time, stuff wears out and parts need to be replaced. The manual doesnt list part numbers that are needed. The website doesnt pull up part numbers when you type in the model number. After paying for overnight shipping that isnt guaranteed (and was more than the part itself), it didnt show up until a couple of days later and it was the wrong part. I would have to pay for shipping costs of the return, now tripling the cost of the actual part. Calls to customer service were not at all helpful as all they could say was that I would have to pay for the return shipping and they were sorry there was nothing they could do. I wont be purchasing anything from Maytag ever again.

Oven was purchased and put in May 2014. I have not be able to use. The oven temperature is off. If the oven is used at 500 degrees the temperature is really 900. I thought I had a gas leak because I got a bad headache because of the smell. The gas co told me to get a repair person to look at it. Maytag has been horrible to deal with. I have taken 3 separate days off trying to get it fixed. The last Maytag repair man had the nerve to ask me where the gas line was. He shut the wrong off and had a gas leak in my house. I had to open all windows. He was supposed to come back the next day. He did not and I received no calls. I have paid for an oven that is dangerous that I cannot use. I feel Im being treated this way because I am an older woman. I will never buy another Maytag.

I have a Maytag washer and dryer. The washer is a top loader with a metal drum. You can hardly hear the washer while it is running, and I have had no problems whatsoever in the past six years of ownership.

The washer is not cleaning the laundry. Its a HE my butt. Its been looked at and fixed numerous times. It sits too long and it doesnt really agitate the laundry at all. Laundry is in the exact position when you loaded it when its done. Its the worst washer ever! I can clean the laundry better in the sink!

Bought a Maytag bottom door refrigerator/freezer about 3 years ago and within 6 months had the bottom drawer ice freeze issue that is so common all over the internet. Today is the THIRD ** time Ive had to take this piece of crap product apart and clear the ice. For all of you who have contacted Maytag in the past... Ill bet you got the same response I did when the fridge was new. They claim there are NO KNOWN ISSUES. They actually told me they had NO RECORD of previous complaints with this issue. MAYTAG SUCKS! I wouldnt take a free appliance from them. Worst customer service possible and they take no responsibility for their ** design and problems. There should be a class action suit for this issue. IF ANYONE IS EVEN CONSIDERING A MAYTAG APPLIANCE... Do yourself a favor and think twice.

I am absolutely disgusted with this Maytag Bravos XL washer. Have owned it 6 months and cant wait to get rid of it. We live on a farm and have cattle. If jeans go in the machine with mud on them, they will come out with mud on them. I have tried soak, deep water wash, power wash. Nothing works. I might as well put a wash tub in my back yard and wash by hand. Anything black must be washed by itself as it will come out covered in lint. How did this machine ever go on the market? Expensive mistake. Please do not buy this machine.

The dishwasher is very stylish and looks great in our kitchen. I do wish there was a small knife drawer in top. It cleans very well and is super quiet. I would highly recommend this dishwasher, good value.

We bought MDB7759AWB Maytag dishwasher in 2011. It worked decently until now when it stopped delivering water to the upper rack. The cleaning quality on the lower rack also dropped significantly although it might be due to the lack of water delivery to the upper rack. Apparently there is something wrong with the internal pump. The Maytag service offered a repair for $300+ which I rejected because this is a ridiculous cost and I would rather buy a different dishwasher. My conclusion is that if you buy Maytag dishwasher you need to factor about $300+ for the repair(s) in 5 years as apparently they do when they sell you this product. Anyway, even though Maytag was a decent brand a long time ago (probably in the past century), it is not reliable anymore. It does not mean it has to be much worse than many others but if you are looking for something better than those others I would not recommend Maytag.

This Maytag was installed in this house in the summer of 1984 and washed dishes for my in-laws for 26 years. We moved in as a family of four and this Maytag dishwasher is still washing the dishes clean. No rinsing, just make sure the food is gone. We replaced the belt about 6 years ago and I think my Mother-in-law replaced the door seal. It has a power saver button, 2 cycles, and the cups are on the bottom rack, plates and such on the top. I dont put plastic bowls on the bottom because it gets a bit too warm for them but all the bells and whistles still work. It is a fairly large model, WU301, with ample room for plates and platters. I dont wash pots because I dont like what the dishwasher soap does to the finish on them. Having the cups on the bottom is nice and the rack is very usable for other dishes as well. The cutlery rack is located on the top rack, removable and a decent size. Almond body, silver and dark brown accents, very 1984 but not a bad look. All of the buttons and knobs are easy to read and use. Maytag, 1984, model #WU301.

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

Purchased a new Maytag washer top load/Dryer set on April 1, 2016. Having trouble uploading receipt but I paid 1,145.83 for set. It took 2 weeks to get it delivered on April 15. 1st use it shook and wobbled even though the load was balanced but Ive read that is a problem with these machines. 1st load of clothes, washer didnt fill with enough water to wash properly - 3-4 inches of water for a full load of jeans. Top 2/3 of clothes hardly got wet! Changed the setting, same problem. Changed the setting again, same problem. I had to stand at washing machine and keep lifting the lid to get more water in the machine. Clothes didnt rotate in machine so all the clothes on top half didnt get cleaned. The spin cycle is scary! You could hear clunking noises and it had nothing to do with load being balanced. Did a small load and same thing with water level and spin cycle. Called Home Depot to pick up both machines on next business day. The dryer lint trap is so long, it made a mess trying to remove the lint even after only 1 load. NEVER AGAIN MAYTAG! Ive never regretted an appliance purchase like I do now. Maytag and April Fools day are a perfect match. Only its for real and not a joke.

My wife told me yesterday she was getting a f51 code... went on you tube and took the top off and the clothes holder out, found 1 quarter and 3 dimes... put it all back together... same thing... took the back off... hoses off, unplugged it and the allen that holds the motor had backed out... no more maytags for me... Tightened the allen, all is fine for now... my opinion, this should never ever happen... No lock washer anything engineering to prevent this from occurring... My grade: replace the engineer...

Like many others, my Maytag Bravo motherboard has stopped working after about 2 years. The clothes do not get particularly clean, it is extremely noisy, and the wash cycles are excessively long. I would not recommend this appliance to anyone.

We purchased all new Maytag appliances when we built our house. So far, the stove/oven has quit working and been repaired 3 times; its always the ignitor. The dishwasher has been fixed twice. The washer no longer spins out as it should. The refrigerator and dryer so far have run okay. I am definitely going to change brands with my new appliances. I will not purchase Maytag again. Its not what it used to be. I will do without oven this time, until I can buy a new one. Also, the dishwasher door has had problems from day 1, and now, it will not close at all. It seems like its off the hinge. Definitely, its not the Maytag of years ago.

The 2013 Maytag dishwasher panel broke 13 months after the purchase. After several phone calls and complaints they agreed to replace the panel at no charge. Since yesterday I have the same problem and need them to replace this washer. I am on a limited SS income and I am not in a position to purchase another washer after 3 yrs. My previous one lasted almost 15 yrs. This is totally unfair and I hope that Maytag replaces this entire machine, not just another repair. It will cost them a lot less to do that by either sending or having LOWES to replace this one. Thank you so much.Updated on 09/16/2016: Maytag is asking $300 to fix it and they will not replace it. So, by coincidence a friend of mine had the same problem and she did the following and I repeated these steps and now dishwasher is working. Turn off the switch or unplug, or turn off from the circuit box, your dishwasher. This cuts off electricity to the washer totally. Wait 30 seconds. Push the cancel button and hold on pressing it for 30 seconds (precisely, not less). Push then, the start button and hold on for 30 seconds again. Turn on the power and the cancel light will come on and let the cycle finish do not touch anything, until it is turned off and the light goes off by itself. Then, choose your selection for washing push start and see if it works. It did with mine and hers. Good luck and LADIES- YOU CAN DO IT, if this little old woman did it by herself.

The engineering of all these new machines are totally useless. Bring back the old tech. They DRY wash, NO WATER, they take forever to finish, wasting energy, clothing not cleaned. They are very noisy, doing nothing. Time to recall all of these units. They are totally useless.

We Purchased a Maytag gas oven/stove three years ago believing it to be the quality of the Maytag of yesteryear, Boy have we been disappointed! When Whirlpool Corp. bought out Maytag several years ago they continued using the Maytag name only.. The quality is now less than substandard, It is a cheaply built piece of crap.. We would sell it in a garage sale and replace it with a quality stove/oven but we dont want anyone else to have to deal with this piece of junk! It will soon go to the landfill!!!

After 2 LG refs and 2 Maytag ref. fridge, I would not recommend either one. My Maytag need a new compressor. My Maytag ref only lasted for 6 years! The main circuit board failed. I decided to get a new fridge from Sears rather than going back to Home Depot. I decided to get a new fridge in Sears rather than going back to Home Depot. The extended maintenance is more expensive at at Sears. In summary, I have only been using the Sears for 3 days now. It is too early to write a review on the Sears fridge.

I bought a Maytag MGR5605WW range on July 3, 2011 and it took till mid August before I received it. Right away I noticed when I put a pan on the grates, I had to be careful so they did not slip off. Dangerous! Then I made a pizza, and when I pulled the rack out of the oven, the rack tipped down and the pizza slid down on the oven. Danger again! I went over to Menards and they gave me the number of A&E (1-800-771-3029). I called them when I got home and an A&E person said they would call me back. After a few more calls, no one ever called me back. I went back to Menards. They said I need to deal with Maytag. I am very concerned with the racks, and so is everyone else. They are cheaply made. Tonight I had a family member place the frozen turkey on the rack and it bowed down! Danger again. The grates have a few chips. This is a nightmare. What a piece of trash. I’m trying to get someone to respond. This stove is dangerous to my well-being, and I have no other choice but to use it.

Purchased Maytag 4000 series washer Feb. 26 2011 - within six months Maytag warranty replaced the drum and bearings, within another few months Maytag worked on the drum again. Year two started out with the warranty contract replace the drum and bearings again. Oct 1 2014 called for service again, the drum not moving and having to wait 2 weeks for Tech. to checkout the machine then order parts. I have 7 children at home and that didnt matter to anyone. After reading online the number of 4000 series Maytag machines with this problem somebody needs to make Maytag recall and replace them.

Do not buy a Maytag dishwasher with model # MDBH969AWB1. I bought this dishwasher last Dec. 2010. I could not use it for 2 weeks, because the door would not shut. The repair man came & fixed the door. Then when I actually got to use it and after it finished running the cycle, the tub was dripping with water all over--top, sides, door, bottom. I had to dry the dishes on the top rack, and I had to leave the door open for days in order for the inside to eventually get dry. The first thing I noticed about this dishwasher when it was installed was that it was smaller than my other dishwasher. I hate the design because of the way they have made the racks plus because it is smaller--it holds less dishes than my old one did. I could actually get almost twice as many dishes in my old one than I can with this one. Do they not think of asking the consumer about what they want in a dishwasher instead of going ahead and making something that is not functional?I am so frustrated with this thing; it has brought me to tears. I just today went to Sears and looked at their Kenmore dishwasher. It is designed more like my old one than any of the other makes out today. I wish I had checked this out, before I bought this Maytag. Weve always heard how Maytag is at the top of the line with no problems, right? Dont believe it. I will never buy another one. Whoever is designing these dishwashers need to go back to 1990 and take a look at how it was designed and then go back to making them like that. I loved my older dishwasher, and I wish I had never let them take it away. I wish I had taken the money I spent on this ridiculous Maytag and had my old one fixed no matter what the cost. I made a terrible mistake.If you have an older dishwasher and it has given you good service for years, I suggest you have it fixed and keep it, because you will not like the performance of what they are selling today. It does not matter what brand you buy, they are all designed the same. Just take a look and compare them. But if you buy, please check out the Kenmore. I dont know if the performance is better, but the racks are better designed. My old dishwasher was a Hotpoint. It was the cheapest one on the market, and it gave me the most wonderful service ever. The dishes were always very clean, the heating element was fantastic, and it always dried the dishes completely. I cant believe they would make a product like they do today and sell them for what they do. The heating element in them today is not as good or strong as what they used to make. That is why the dishes wont dry properly. You get way less than what you pay for. Thinking a new dishwasher is the way to go, think again. Please, if at all possible, keep your old one and have it fixed over & over again. I hate this dishwasher. What a joke on the unsuspecting buyer.

I purchased a beautiful Maytag dishwasher for $700+ and it died after a year of use. I called Maytag to complain and they dont care. Pay $350 for a tech to come fix its warranted for a year or fix it yourself. I fixed it myself for $180 and am hoping the very same key panel wont fail again. I know it will. I wrote to Maytag about the issue and have not gotten a response. Im hopeful that they will make this right or that they get sued and the consumers get their money back.

This set is a GREAT ONE! I love my HQ washer and dryer. The washer has so many settings to choose from for all different loads of clothes. It washes and spins everything great. My dryer is so nice! I can dry a load of whites: towels, washcloths, hand towels etc in record amount of time. I would highly recommend them both.

I bought this washer about 6 months ago and I seem to get clothes that just arent clean and have marks on my dress pants and my whites are awfully dingy. Never have I ever had white things that didnt stay white. I honestly would never buy this type of washer again. I am actually hoping that there is a way to at least change the water level. Also I hate the fact that I cant add bleach to the water before the clothes and to let the bin fill and mix correctly. I dont think the bleach even gets to the clothes.

We had been a Whirlpool only brand household for as long as I can remember. When our Whirlpool washer and dryer gave out on us 11 years ago, we had a friend swear by the quality of Maytag appliances and decided to try something new. We purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer set. We have had our Maytag Atlantis washer and dryer since 2003 and both appliances are still as dependable and hard working as the day we purchased them. We live in a house with well water and our water is treated to be soft water.We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren who have come and put our machines through some heavy duty challenges when their non-Maytag brand washers and dryers have failed them. We are still very satisfied with our Maytag purchase some 11 years later, and so are our daughters and grandchildren!

We bought a Maytag Dishwasher on March 16, 2013. Less than 10 months, we had repairman come in 5 times. First was soap scums left on the glasses after a wash. Then, the soap dispenser was leaking. Now the control panel is not working. We have to wait for a week for the parts to come in. Total length of time for hand washing dishes since we bought this dish washer is three weeks. They said they are not going to replace it until it cant not be repaired. What does that mean?? Please never ever buy Maytag dishwashers!!!!!

I purchased this washer January 2020. Bravos XL model# MVWB830DW5 is the worst washing machine ever. Does not clean your clothes, leaves soap residue on your clothes. Clothes aren’t fully submerged in water for the wash or rinse cycles. Do not waste your money. You will be highly disappointed.

Maytag will not fix 2 major issues with new $700 Maytag dryer bought from Home Depot who takes no responsibility. They wont return it. Maytag wont replace defective dryer unless technician from totem appliances cannot fix problem. The tech ordered a control board and timer. Only installed the timer. He did not fix 2 issues. Dryer never stops at OFF. Dryer leaves damp spots on any clothing whether small or medium large load. Was told by Maytag if damp spots then its OUR problem... our ventilation. No it is your sensor. Our model is ymedc465hwo serial m820. 07331. Bought in late Oct. 2018. Two supervisors later we are being sent to tech or tech company and played games with. All I know is Maytag sells defective dryers then wont replace them or fix main issue.

Maytag Centennial eco conserve clothes washer - I purchased a Maytag (non-agitating) washer, (model MVWC400XW) just about a year ago and I cant tell you how dissatisfied I am with this product. It does not clean the simplest of soil from garments. I have actually had clothes come out of the washer after a complete wash cycle, with dry clothes. They recommend putting soap in first, at the bottom of the washer and then load clothes; I have had clothes come out stained as a result the clothes sitting on top of the soap. I am requesting that I be able to return (have this washer picked up) from my home and replaced with a washer with an agitator or a compatible washer that actually washes clothes. I believe that this may qualify as a lemon with regards to California lemon laws.

Before you purchase a Maytag washing machine...from anywhere (I got mine at Home Depot), think again. This machine doesnt wash clothes, it doesnt rinse clothing. What it does is takes forever to fill up the tub then it doesnt even come close to filling it to where all the clothing is covered for rinsing or washing, then it just stops and sits there for a few minutes (??) and then it proceeds to empty the tub and youre supposed to feel like your clothes were cleaned.Not in a million years will your clothing get cleaned in a Maytag washing machine. Youve been warned...dont waste your money. Go to a used appliance shop, but the best one they have that does NOT have the Govt. regs built into it, and be happy you saved as much money and did NOT have to go through all the frustration and hassle everyone else has that bought a new Maytag washing machine.

Maytag washer has increased my water bill; it was supposed to be energy efficient! Also, the washer will not wash a blanket. Sensors will move a large item to one side causing an uneven load which then causes numerous extra fills until stopped manually. I was told to add more items! A blanket barely fits in the tub. I had to invest in lint rollers since the rinse cycle is inefficient. This washing machine is useless. I should have stuck with Kenmore.

I love this washer. You can fill all the way or energy setting but either way it does the job. I paid 1200 for a Whirlpool. it was broken within 6 moand couldnt get service repair. With the Maytag it was on sale for 550 cash. It stop spinning. I called for service. They were there in 2 days on time and 20 minutes it was working. It was a needle stopped it. Just reprogrammed and wa-lah!

Purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (Serial # P33706417) in Sep. 2013. In the beginning was working fine. After a year and a half started having problems pushing the button to start, not starting. Had to wait a few hours then hit it again and all the lights would light up and then it would start washing. Then when done, some lights stayed on and never went off. Then a month or 2 later, same problem but only a couple of lights would go on and when done 2 lights would blink continuously. After several months now, none of the lights are working and cant get dishwasher to start. Called a tech and he said the control board and the touchpad were not working. Would cost me over $400 plus shipping, etc. to for new. Very frustrated with Maytag, as we havent even gotten 2 years out of this dishwasher and the 1 year warranty has expired. DONT BUY A MAYTAG!!!

I wished I researched more before I purchased, but like most people, I believed in the reputation of Maytag. Like many others - my control panel started to go out 19 months after install: Had my first event with the washer; it would not allow me to select normal wash. A high-end machine shouldnt have electrical connection problems within 19 months, just 7 months after the warranty expires.When the repairman pulled apart our machine, he found a similarly burned looking touchpad ribbon cable, that was burned in exactly the same position as the photos shown on Maytags website under the review referred to. Maytag/Whirlpool has set up a special phone number to deal with this problem: I dialed 1-866-931-7384... Been on hold for over an hour Of course - NO answer! Ill try later but I am very angry that this has been a known issue BEFORE I purchased mine at Home Depot. What a piece of junk. This is the last Maytag Ill ever buy again. The service is horrible, the product is junk.

Maytag Bravos XL MVWB980BGO. To start, I live on an acreage so some problems may be related to being on well water. The most annoying part is the washer doesn’t have a drain & spin without rinse. So, when my well pump started acting up, I had no way to just drain & spin off the load, so I had to try to lift thoroughly soaked clothes and try to dry them...which took about four hours. Another aspect that is a pain is uneven loads. It keeps trying to fill, instead of just stopping & letting me adjust the load myself. Then the damn thing won’t reset. I often have to resort to unplugging the machine and starting over. High efficiency is a joke. I’ve had the machine about five years now and it goes low flow error, even though the flow is fine. I’ve tried running cleaners through the water line and it’s still doing the same thing. The only thing left to try is take the machine out and try and manually go through the lines. For the amount of money we spent on this machine, I am thoroughly disgusted with how it runs. It is the first & last Maytag washer that I will ever buy. Next time, I’m buying as cheap & basic a machine as I can buy. On the upside, the dryer works perfectly.

I bought a new Maytag dishwasher installed by East Town Appliance in Wautoma, Wisc. They installed it and ran a full wash cycle and it worked fine. After they were finished, I got all my glasses out and put in their dishwasher all excited to get them clean and sparkling. I started the dishwasher, put on a coat to check my birdfeeders on the deck where I was standing in front of the patio door. I heard water running suddenly. Turning around to see water gushing out of the bottom of the dishwasher. I called East Town back and had the installers return immediately. The pump was stuck open. I called Maytag about what happened and they said they wouldnt pay for the floor damage because it was already installed and to call my insurance company which I did. They went after Maytag and won but I had to pay $500 insurance deductible. I will NEVER buy anything by Maytag again.

Maytag XL Washer - My new machine is awful as well. Black clothes are smeared with I dont know what... looks like dirt. The wrinkle cycle doesnt work and the bedding cycle forget. Wish I read reviews... silly me.

I have had this washer (Maytag Bravos) less than a year and it does not clean my familys clothes at all. I have had to throw away clothes that are stained and ruined because this washer does such a poor job of washing. For the cost of this appliance, I thought it would do an excellent job, only to be disappointed. I have owned other Maytag appliances without a problem. This one is a disaster and has turned me against Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Microwave Oven MMV5208 WS 1 from Home Depot less than two years ago. Mine was actually manufactured in April 2013 according to the ID tag. A couple of months ago it started acting up because a switch when the door closes began to malfunction and you had to open and close the door several times to get the microwave started. Then all of a sudden when you set the timer and pushed the start button it would flash on and immediately shut off. This is extremely frustrating because I paid more than $400.00 and purchased it less than two years ago. I am disappointed because Maytag advertises its reliability and this microwave is anything but reliable.

I purchased a gas range from Lowes - Maytag- Model #MGR8880AS in 2012. The range has been repaired on multiple occasions 11/2016; 3/2017; 5/2017. All three times they replaced the igniter and burner. On one occasion they replaced the computer board as well. (Each time they have informed me that this part was a recalled problem and under warranty). The stove is now out of warranty and having same issue. The stove fills with gas and the igniter does not ignite and does so intermittently. Maytag only wants to send repair company out at my expense. They need to replace the stove, because someone somewhere will die because of their product. I will purchase a new stove and not from Maytag. (All my appliances are Maytag). I also have a copy of my receipt and will provide if needed; I used my extended warranty through Lowes each time. I urge everyone not to purchase Maytag appliances.

I own a Maytag dishwasher - it is a few years old now. I first filed a complaint in 2011. We have had it repaired several times - the control panel keeps breaking. Why is it that my grandmothers old dishwasher worked for 30-40 years and now you are lucky if you can get an appliance that works for a year without breaking? This planned obsolescence is ridiculous. Do not buy Maytag products - hit them where it hurts - in the wallet. They used to build quality products, but not anymore. I contacted the law firm in California that another person had listed as they have started a class action lawsuit. Eppsteiner & Fiorica Attorneys, LLP, at 866-548-8857 - if you are having atrocious problems with your Maytag dishwasher (they mentioned Fridgidaire, too) - because of the control panel, please call. The company wont fix the issue unless they are forced to.

We loved the Maytag dishwasher when we first bought it. After about 5 years it started leaking. Had rubber gasket replace, only held up 2 years. This was the only problem.

I purchased the gas stove in June of 2012 from Home Depot, along with a Maytag microwave (Model MGR7662WB4). Home Depot installed both items. After trying to reach into the microwave about the stove, the knob would turn itself on with me brushing up against it. This happened several times, and one time the flame shot up and I almost got burned. The last time it happened, I did not realize that the knob was turned very slightly and gas was coming out of the burner for several hours. If it were not for a friend stopping over, I would not have considered the odor being from the stove. I assumed that the drains were probably backed up and started to add cleaners to the toilet bowls. I had to open the windows for several hours to get the smell out. So I called customer service 2 times. The first person said I would have to pay for the call if the problem was not Maytag and I said, “Forget it.” Then I went into Home Depot and the salesperson in there gave me another number to call for service. They came last Friday and said that he had seen at least 10-15 calls about this and since the unit was working as designed and no recalls, there was nothing they could do. “Just wait and see if a recall would be put into place and I would be on the list to fix it. In the meantime just keep the knobs off (which I was doing already out of fear).” My sister just bought a Whirlpool gas range this summer as well and asked if I could try her knob and it worked perfectly. Again I called CS and was told they could not send me those at no charge and that it would cancel out the warranty. So I asked her what I have to do before I or someone else gets injured and she said that until there was a recall, there was nothing they could do. I told her I was going to contact Consumer Report as well as Pam Zekman on Channel 2 news in Chicago. End of story; I still have the problem and no knobs on the new stove. I moved into my home in July 2013. My kitchen came with all stainless appliances that appeared and seemed to be in excellent shape. I have been using the Whirlpool Microwave oven to heat foods (all in microwave safe) containers and dishes. This morning, I was heating a muffin, when suddenly I hear popping. When I looked through the glass into the inside of the microwave I saw sparks then flames. I immediately stopped the microwave. The fire apparently started in the area of one clip that holds the metal rack inside. In researching this issue online, I found hundreds of complaints from people who have experienced the same issue, and Whirlpool refused to replace the unit because it is out of warranty.

After 1 year and a month, the dishwasher would not work. When the Maytag repairman came, he told me that this was the 3rd one this month that had the same problem (the control panel). The cost to replace, it would be about $275. However, since I know of 3 that have broken, why would I replace it? I live alone and maybe have used the dishwasher once a week. There should be a recall on this machine. I called to see if there was a recall and was told Im sorry. I would advise anyone purchasing a dishwasher to avoid Maytag or any dishwasher made by them.

It’s really quiet and it cleans the dishes, pots, glasses on just 1 cycle and I’ve had it loaded more than one time. I do use rinse aid and I do occasionally use dishwasher cleaner. I wouldn’t own angry other than a Maytag dishwasher. They last forever. The commercial about calling a Maytag service man is true! I’ve never had to call fior service! Well worth the money!

We have had this washer for 1 year. I noticed right away my clothes would come out extremely wrinkled. Now not only are they wrinkled, they also smell musty. After researching I find others have the same issue, even finding a video of horrible mold under the drum. We called to have it serviced since we have a 5-year warranty. The service man recommended using Afresh. WELL, we do faithfully every month. He said they would not pay to have it cleaned, and even if he cleaned it, that the mold would come back. This to me is a major design flaw, one that could potentially make people sick. IF there is that much mold growing in the machine, with no way of cleaning it, and now the clothes are smelling, there is a HUGE issue!

Wish there was some way to secure all dishwasher under the cabinets better. It tips forward slightly, but gets caught on counter top, so it won’t fall over. The dishwasher itself is truly amazing. I love the stainless steel inside. I ensure I use the dishwasher cleaner on hottest cycle once a month. I have no odors. Both racks hold up well and the silverware tray has never given me any problems. I even like the thin little third top rack, which is where I lay my larger flat knives or spatula. As long as I use the finish dishwasher cleaner, the dishes come out sparkling. And a few times I have forgotten to fill the finish container, the dishes still sparkle. My teenagers do the dishes a few times a week. They don’t wash them off ahead of time. On occasion I have to pick a few pieces of corn or food out of the bottom, but the dishes still sparkle and the leftover food caught on the drain, well it looks clean enough to eat. I would definitely buy it again.

I have always been an advocate for Maytag Appliances. Never bought anything beside Maytag. Our old Maytag refrigerator broke. Would cost too much to fix. So, we decided to buy new. We had the old white, which I was perfectly fine in buying again, however, white was super expensive. So, the salesperson persuaded us to purchase stainless steel. We got a pkg for close to $4000 all in June of 2016. Needless to say, these items have been called for repair within the 1 year warranty over half a dozen times, and have had to replace pieces that have just broken. My worst experience is the stove. I really do not like it at all. I feel the product is misleading. We wanted a self cleaning oven. It is the newest brand out there for what I consider a joke. It is the AquaLift Technology that does not clean anything. My old Maytag self cleaning oven cleaned far better than this. The same spots are in the oven. It just is worthless. I have addressed my frustration with Maytag where I was told that the oven is for the light user. Well, then you need to educate the people who sell your stuff, because I have a family I cook a lot. If this product was made for an apartment single person who does not cook then we should have been informed. Your product states Self Cleaning. Its not self cleaning!!! My frustration went up to the main office of Maytag where their resolution was to give me a discount on a new stove.What do I do with the one I have, and I was told I could sell it!!!! Really Maytag wow from a consumer that has always been a valued customer this is the level of service I get. I ended up purchasing an extended warranty on all Maytag products, because of my fear of something just breaking again. My advice to all is either buy a no named brand or buy something cheaper. Please folks if you have a family do not purchase these products. Its for people that just need a pretty display of appliances!!!

It’s a front loader, very quiet, and uses less water. The clothes come out clean and less wrinkled if you take advantage of the settings. l like the extra rinse and the drawer underneath. The capacity is able to accommodate enough clothes so I only need to do a load of darks and a load of whites each week.

We had a Fisher & Paykel Washer that lasted 14 years. This Maytag Bravos XL washer has been the worst machine I have ever owned. The clothes come out dirtier than ever. In todays world all technology is becoming disposable, Where is the Maytag repairman now? I have tried all of the settings, to have a decent wash. I am ready to throw this out. Lowes you need to do something about this. It may be made in America but now we know why Japanese and Korean electronics just work! Damaged Clothes/Clothes not being washed thoroughly enough are my biggest pet peeves with this washing machine.

Product number MMV4205DS. Beautiful, felt solid. Right away when we would put in a time to cook and hit start, the thing would say Open Close Door. First we thought it was moisture, and we would wipe the seal, then lifting the door a little helped. A month might go by and we would repeat this process. I did a little research and found the microwave is known for this. After the warranty was up, it got worse. My husband put a little screwdriver in the door clamp. The plastic guard that held the door shut fell behind the opening. Mulling over whether to call for repairs or buy a new one, we decided the latter. I am buying another one just like it, because the holes in the wall will match for an easy swap and it matches my suite. This time I took out the 3 year warranty, which I will hold Maytag responsible for any more problems. They say if they come and fix it 4 times in a year they will declare it a lemon and replace. I figure this will work in my favor because the microwave lasts a year!

I really liked my Maytag Bravo X washer. Until, at less than 2 years old, it started having issues. It all of a sudden starting sticking in the spin mode, then it wouldnt turn off even though the cycle was complete. I have to pull the plug out of the machine it to stop from continuously running. I was charged $104 to have a certified tech come out for 15 minutes and recalibrate it and it worked for another month. It started having that same problem again and now, I have learned I need a new control board, which costs over $200, plus labor, over $60. The Maytag service rep I spoke with was very pleasant when she told me she spoke with her supervisor and told me there was nothing they can. So now I dont like my pretty new machine at all, and have to decide if I should stick almost $300 into getting it fixed again, or buy a new washer, NOT A MAYTAG! As I voiced my complaint on the Maytag website I saw that there were many of the same complaints about the faulty control board and am wondering what does it take to get a recall?

This is a Bravos MTC machine. It is a top load and has an energy star rating. Made in the United States. Impressed by its low water usage and Its ability to clean clothes. This particular model comes with a 10 year limited parts warranty, drive motor and washbasket.

They are coming for the 7th time to fix the ice maker. Three full replacements. The bottom of the freezer had a buildup of ice, another call to repair. I know where the Maytag repairman is, hes at my house.

Maytag Dryer is a complete piece of junk. First repair at 13 months, second repair at 15 months. I would throw it away but like a fool I bought the washer. Fingers crossed. Stay away from Maytag, total junk.

Maytag MHWE450 washer - Purchased this front load washer/Dryer and pedestals 12-1-2011. The bearings are so loud when it spins that you cant hear anything. You have to replace the whole tub to fix it with no directions anywhere on how to do it. I had a Maytag top load washer for 15 years before this. They worked perfectly when I sold them. I thought these would be a great purchase for a lot longer than 2 years.

Maytag washer leaves clothes more wrinkled after a wash than they were in before being cleaned. And these are not full laundry loads. Then using the Maytag dryer is a joke. Need to run double times or extended times on most of the settings to get them completely dry. When it comes to the wrinkle free setting... what a joke. Clothes might be close to dry but wrinkled. Have always had Maytag products since forever. Tried Samsung for the last set-----washer lasted 6 years and then needed a full overhaul. Cheaper to buy a new set. Went back to Maytag. MISTAKE. Samsung did a lot better job of washing and drying. Now stuck with Maytag until... when? Retired and dont have the funds to get new replacements. Just my opinion though.

How can any company with a reputation that we all have grown up with MAYTAG pull such a DESPICABLE act on its customers of 20, 30, 40 plus years ??? $500+ repairs for each of 2 boards in nothing better than a BOAT ANCHOR... I would give anything to have my 15 yr or even 20+ yr old pair back! Worst purchase of our 50 years of life! Its overdue time for a Class Action Lawsuit! Also has no one had your washer jump and dent your dryer? Imagine a child in a room with something as Vicious as MAYTAG BRAVOS! Just as well have them play in the STREET! My wife was in the kitchen and started yelling for me to get in there fast. I could smell smoke and then could see the smoke in the kitchen and sparks coming out of the front top right side of the dishwasher. I shut off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker panel. I then removed the contents and then the dishwasher itself. I threw it outside and then the next day I took apart the door and found that the control board was melted and fried. The model # is MDBH949PAM1. We are trying to locate the receipt for date of purchase. Pictures are attached. This is not safe and my wife is very upset as our 4 year old daughter had been leaning on the door not just 15 or so seconds before this happened.

I purchased a Top Loading Maytag January 2019 (High Efficiency Washer) and I have had problems with it every time I do laundry. It doesnt matter what cycle I have it on. It doesnt fill properly when I put it on deep full. It tangles my clothes so I have to untwist them when I take them out. It has torn some of my things due to twisting. Some areas of the clothes dont even get wet. Some areas also do not get rinsed properly and I have to repeat the cycle. I have had repair people come out and they cant find anything wrong. I am so unhappy with the washing machine and Maytag just ignores the issues I am having. Im going to have to give it away and get some other brand. I am just devastated that I spent all of this money and clothes are getting ruined.
