I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer in 2009. I have had nothing but problems. Since, it seems that this washer was never tested nor perfected but just put on the market to sell to us, the consumers, the company does not care that this washer breaks down constantly. First the pump had to be replaced, then the tub was replaced. These were nothing compared to coins falling through to get caught in the pump and cause the washer not to drain. When I bought my washer, I also purchased an extended warranty not knowing that if the washer were to breakdown to many times, Maytag would refuse to repair under the service plan that I purchased because now they are telling me that by letting the coins fall through is abuse of the washer. Really so what they are saying is accidents will not be covered, I thought thats why we purchase insurance.Thank You, Maytag. I will never buy your product again.

We bought new appliances when we moved to our new house last June (2016). Sears recommended the Maytag 600S pair (HE washer and dryer). We have contacted Sears numerous time to have service people out because many times (75%) the washer does not fill with enough water to wet all the clothes and there is a layer of dry clothes at the top when the wash cycle ends.I do not believe that dry clothes get clean because they are near wet clothes in the washer. But Sears insists this is by design. Some service people tell us that the top loading HE washer will be gone soon because of the complaints but we have to struggle on. Sears seems to hope we just get tired and stop calling as their Customer Service policy. I have to dump 1-2 buckets of water into almost every wash that we do. As a side note, the 600S series has a slanted top rather than the traditional flat top. It looks cute but things fall/roll off of it. It would be nice to put things on top of the washer or dryer while doing the laundry but they roll/slide/fall off. The design is not so cute anymore. Actually, really a stupid idea.

Just purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator and am I sorry I did! Very noisy and runs continuously. Maytag says it is because it has high-efficiency compressor and fans? How is running continuously efficient? The continuous noise actually keeps me awake at night. Not sure what to do as I have spent $1700. :(

I have a Maytag washer and dryer. The washer is a top loader with a metal drum. You can hardly hear the washer while it is running, and I have had no problems whatsoever in the past six years of ownership.

Purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (Serial # P33706417) in Sep. 2013. In the beginning was working fine. After a year and a half started having problems pushing the button to start, not starting. Had to wait a few hours then hit it again and all the lights would light up and then it would start washing. Then when done, some lights stayed on and never went off. Then a month or 2 later, same problem but only a couple of lights would go on and when done 2 lights would blink continuously. After several months now, none of the lights are working and cant get dishwasher to start. Called a tech and he said the control board and the touchpad were not working. Would cost me over $400 plus shipping, etc. to for new. Very frustrated with Maytag, as we havent even gotten 2 years out of this dishwasher and the 1 year warranty has expired. DONT BUY A MAYTAG!!!

Centennial commercial tech. washer - We purchased this piece of junk in Sept 2013, and had to have a repairman twice before it was six weeks in my home. I wrote several letters but the only thing that I received were applications for insurance to cover repairs. I should have received a replacement as it was bad from day one, but Maytag doesnt replace!!! Its been semi-reliable for the past several months, until early this year. It started jerking when it changed cycles, sounding as if the drum was hitting really hard against the sides. It has continued to do that regularly; now it wont function on the cycle its set on. It wont spin, sometimes the lid lock wont work. It starts filling when it should be draining. This evening, it stayed in the rinse cycle for 40 minutes and when I realized it was still rinsing I had to unplug it to get it stopped. It goes on and on, (and so could I out of frustration). The good name of Maytag has turned to trash, and when it leaves my home, no more Maytags!!! PS. The dryer we got with it takes at least 1 1/2 full cycles to dry a load, and since I couldnt get it to spin properly, Ill be lucky to get this last load dry in 2 to 2 1/2 cycles.

The machine has left pin-sized holes in finer clothing since we first used it. I had purchased the extended warranty so they were called out to repair the issue four times during the warranty. They replaced the drum, but I still get holes. I think it is because there isnt enough water to rotate the clothing and it rubs repeatedly against the same spot on the other clothing. I have a see-through lid and you can see that the clothing just moves very slightly in the same position. I separate all clothing that has a zipper or any trim that may rub against the finer fabrics, but I am still getting pin-sized holes. We requested compensation or a new machine. They extended the warranty. We have replaced enough clothing that we are now buying a new machine. It will NOT be a Maytag.

After 1.5 years, our Maytag bottom freezer ref has started leaking water on the floor. There is a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer, and ice in the slots on the back wall. This sounds like a frozen moisture drain. This seems to be a common problem. There should be a recall.

Electronic control board fried after 3 yrs on Maytag Gemini range - certain buttons on control board would not set for ovens. Called Maytag, said was not covered, past 1 year warranty. Recommended repair shops, all overpriced. The piece cost between $300-500 for a 3 year old stove. Cheapest repairman wanted 90 to install piece. Ordered piece online and replaced it myself with help from YouTube video. Maytag has lousy repair records lately. Of 4 Maytag appliances purchased in 3 yr kitchen remodeling… already had issues with 3 of them. Do not recommend Maytag anymore!

I bought my refrigerator in May of 2012. Brand new from Home Depot. It is less than 3 years old. Now it is not working. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I never thought in less than 3 years my fridge would stop working. I called Maytag, first question from them was about warranty. So I knew I was screwed. So, basically for $300 they would come out and fix the problem. I only paid $800 for the fridge. I am lost as to why in 3 years my fridge is broke?? Makes no sense to me. So I paid a tech $100 to tell me what was wrong with it. The evaporator is leaking. It is leaking. So the evaporator is bad and I cannot fix myself. So for another $300 they would fix, so a total of $400 in an $800 fridge.I am pissed. I remember my parents having a fridge for over 25 years. Why does Maytag not take responsibility for their problem. The products we buy should last longer than 3 years. It is just a way for them to get us to buy another product. So needless to say, I am one pissed off customer. So let the emailing and letter writing begin.

How can any company with a reputation that we all have grown up with MAYTAG pull such a DESPICABLE act on its customers of 20, 30, 40 plus years ??? $500+ repairs for each of 2 boards in nothing better than a BOAT ANCHOR... I would give anything to have my 15 yr or even 20+ yr old pair back! Worst purchase of our 50 years of life! Its overdue time for a Class Action Lawsuit! I moved into this house and the dishwasher came with it. For an appliance that is over 8 years old it works beautifully. It cleans my dishes well and doesnt leave residue on them. I ran it through a cleaning cycle recently and that has only improved its performance. I recommend dishwashers by Maytag because they last and perform well.

I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator on September 21, 2007. The refrigerator compressor went out on July 19, 2011, three years and ten months. The repairman said that the compressor developed a pin hole leak and all the freon leaked out. The repair cost appear to be around $300 when completed, hopefully. What a crappy refrigerator. It seems that this is a regular problem with all types of Maytag appliances. Maytag is no longer a premium appliance. Stay clear from purchasing one!

Maytag front loader 5000 series error codes - After using my washing machine for 3.5 years, under light duty, I have an error code of SUD and F35 indicating that the pressure switch has failed and needs replacement. I will need to buy a new pressure switch out of pocket and replace.

We purchased a top of the line, state of the art Maytag washer and dryer Neptune. The fill valve failed twice, flooding the first floor and the big storage room below. Thank God we were here! Now the thing halts mid-cycle and wont continue. The repairmen both said the design is messed up and they hate to work on the Neptunes.

Since day one, no matter the size of the load or how careful I place the clothes or what level or water, washer vibrates and moves around the floor. I have had service out twice to recheck level but it still vibrates. Worst washer ever. I should have spent the money to repair my 20-year-old Kenmore.

Maytag Centennial - It came with the house. I think its a line made special for rent-to-own kind of places. I cannot stand the washer. It will not take fabric softener unless its in the ball and if you use extra rinse you dont get to use fab softener at all. (I like liquid fab softener on some things). Why it doesnt have a dispenser is beyond me. And the bleach dispenser is poorly designed, too close to the tub and splashes every time. Ive had this six months and would get rid of it in a heartbeat if I could afford to. Plus it snags towels. The washer is crap. And its a Maytag. I wish it would break so I could justify buying one that has some decent features like fab soft dispenser, bleach dispenser that doesnt splash, drum that doesnt snag.

The washer does not get the laundry clean. It never has. I use only HE soap. I have changed soaps several times and still no change. I have been very disappointed with it. Maytag has been advertised as a good washer but the Bravos is not.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator (freezer on the bottom) in August 2012. In 2014 we had to have the freezer repaired (defrost drain) which cost $153. This month, July 2015, we had to have the refrigerator repaired for another $293. The problem with the refrigerator the repairman told us is the control board (p/n W10503278). He stated that they didnt make the first board very well and hes been replacing this part quite frequently for customers. I only spent $799 on the refrigerator and I already have $446 into it. That is half of what I paid for it! I wouldnt recommend Maytag to anybody!

Both work good. Washer could be a little lower and it has quit rinsing and I cannot use it. But it is 9 years old, I think for their age they were a good buy. I plan to get the washer repaired because have been satisfied with how clean it gets my clothes and it washes pretty quick. I got the large capacity and with a very large load the washer gets them clean. The dryer is very good. It is just as good on a large load as small, dries quick. I would buy this type washer and dryer again and would definitely recommend it to folks. I have been very happy with this washer and dryer. The paint is coming off the washer where you put detergent and fabric softener in and it has rusted out some but it is getting a little age on it so this is expected. I like it, I can throw my comforter in and it gets it clean and the large loads always come out great. I think anyone who bought the set would be very happy with it. It is also quiet which I like.

My oven looks like it has never been cleaned. The self clean Aqualift does not work to clean your oven. If I would have known that this feature did not work for self cleaning I would never have purchased this oven. My old cheaper oven at least came clean on the self clean cycle. Now it seems I am going to have to scrub my self cleaning oven. What a waste of money. Will never purchase another Maytag appliance.

We purchased a Maytag Gas range MGR8674AB in November 2012. The contents of the drawer (oven mitts, trivets, hot pads) caught on fire. As we pulled out the drawer, it scorched the front of the range.

I purchased the Neptune HE pair because they are front loading and can be set on pedestals to raise them to a comfortable working height, plus the brand and reputation are both excellent. I like that the chimes can be adjusted from low to high, or turned off. The front loading washers clean so much better and with a lot less damage to items than washers with center agitators. Looks are secondary, thats for sure. Functions like warm/warm cycles and being able to adjust to whatever load needs to be washed is really most important to me. Any appliances with a good, proven track record of reliability with few repairs is high on my list. Expensive appliances should be made to last and be of durable quality! No cheap plastic or weak-looking welds or components, thank you! Quiet operation and dependable cleaning and drying are top in my book, and this pair has exceeded even my picky expectations in total overall performance. They are 11 years old now and look & function like new! I had one minor repair on the washer at 5 years, and not a single problem since. With front loading washers, its important to keep the door open a little when not in use so that they dont get a musky smell. Ive gotten into the habit of using laundry boosters to help clothes, sheets, and towels smelling fresh longer, and putting a small amount in the washer drum has kept my whole laundry room smelling nice. Purchasing the pedestal drawers to set the washer and dryer on added extra storage to my laundry and its much easier for me to load/unload them at this comfortable height. Im totally spoiled by it now, so when I use someone elses laundry room (when I visit) I am reminded how nice my own setup is.

Does not wash. Only very small loads get washed even though it claims to wash bedding. Some clothes NEVER get wet. Many times the clothes have to be rearranged and re-washed AND extra rinse. Cycles are over an hour each (then multiply x2!!). Maytag service has been called MULTIPLE times. They replaced the touch pad then the computer board. Both times saying the machine works “according to design/specs”. This is a Very poor design. Maytag should recall this inferior machine as it does not perform the job it is being sold for.

Dissatisfied with the poor performance of the Deep Water cycle of Maytag Model #MVWX655DW0. Cycle produces low water thereby resulting in inadequate cleaning of clothes. Choosing another cycle to wash a particular load doesnt match what is recommended.

Yesterday I was using my washer (small load of clothes), I was with my baby in the laundry room when suddenly there was a horrible noise and the door of the washer opened, he hit my back, something fatal could have happened. I do not know how it happened but a piece of concrete was inside the drum. I do not want to imagine what would have happened if that piece came out and hurt my baby. I spoke to the company and explained what had happened to me, but they do not want to be responsible for what happened because the washer is in Tijuana (border with San Diego), I bought the washer in Pirch San Diego California in 2015. Maytag United States is responsible for this defect. Dont buy this model:mhw8100dc extra large capacity washer with steam and powerwash® system-4.5 cu. Ft.

Maytag Bravos XL - I am having the same problem as everyone else with this washer. My clothes do not get clean and they smell. Maytag advertises tumbling, rubbing action to get clothes clean but my washer does neither. The clothes lay in the bottom of the tub and never move except when in the spin cycle. I am going to file a complaint with Maytag and if they do not refund my money am going to file a DTPA claim against them for false, misleading and deceptive advertisement. They will have to pay up to three (3) times the purchase price of the washer. Maybe everyone else should consider the same.

It is quiet and cleans well but thats where it ends. We have had it a little over a year now, after just a few months it started leaking, fixed under warranty. Now one of the upper rack tracks is broken, it was held together with three very flimsy welds, hopefully will be getting it fixed soon. We are going to wait and see what other kind of repair it will need, I think we would have been better off to just buy a cheap dishwasher!

Both the washer/dryer are of the Bravos models and both perform amazingly well. It seems everything works so well, including the vents which are thorough and vent the machine well. Our laundry is always clean and the settings on both machines work very accurately! We believe our Maytags are simply the best operating machines weve ever owned!

This one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Paid over $850 in March, 2015 for the Maytag Bravos XL. At first, we experienced leaking and now there is a terrible banging and clanging noise! Had an appliance repairman come to see what was going on. Apparently it needs a hub replacement and bearing replacement. Was told by two companies that it is not cost effective to fix it due to the amount of parts and labor.Aside from this major issue, I never felt that the clothes came out clean. Many times, the clothes would come out with detergent all stuck to the clothes and had to be rewashed. The softener and bleach dispensers are not removable and it is nearly impossible to get all the way into the cup in order to clean the mildew that builds up. The fabric softener dispenser always had gummed up chunks.Called Maytag several times to no avail. Was basically told - too bad its out of warranty. I have never heard of a washer giving out after 3 years! The worst part is that I have searched many places on the Internet and apparently the bearing problem seems to be a common issue with this washer. I purposely bought an American made product and am extremely disappointed in not only this product, but the company as a whole. The customer service department is awful. I will NEVER purchase Maytag or Whirlpool ever again. They lost my business for putting a terrible product on the market and refusing to acknowledge flaws. Interesting that this model is now discontinued, but they refuse to acknowledge the problems. Stay away from Maytag and/or Whirlpool!

First things first, Maytag Bravos washers are crap. Dont buy one. Purchased model # MVWB750WQ 06/12/2010 for $872.02 + tax. After 3.25 years the spin cycle started making extremely loud whining noises. Bought a replacement water pump for about $100 as several people were reporting the same issue. Before I had a chance to replace it the washer started leaking from under the washer. And not a small amount of water! Mats were getting soaked after each wash. I went ahead and replaced the water pump. But the whining noise, while diminished, didnt go away. And the leak continued. Based on what Ive read on this and other forums it looks like Ill have to replace the bearings for the tub. Not going to happen. Just ordered a Speed Queen washer for about the same price as the Maytag and I will never buy another Maytag (or Whirlpool) product again. Note that I purchased the Maytag at Best Buy. Its important that Best Buy take some of the credit for this issue as they are complicit in keeping these substandard products on the market.

Does not rinse clothes or dispense adequate water. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned. Dark clothes come out of washer with white dust/soap residue on them. Clothes often come out of washer dry - never touched by water in the wash cycle. The spin cycle knots the clothes into a heap. As for the dryer, pulling out the lint filter leaves lint particles all over the top of the dryer. Poor design.

We bought this Maytag Bravos top loading washer 2 years ago after having bad luck with a front loading Maytag. Maytag was always the top brand to buy so I thought it was the style washer but now I believe Maytag has failed to keep their standard of quality high. My clothes come out of the washer almost dry and full of lint. Even though I use the HE wash soap, it does rinse out of the clothes. Dark clothes come out with a noticeable scum so I suppose the lighter clothes do, as well, I just cant see it. I sometimes have to wet the clothes down to get them clean and I always have to double rinse them which defeats the whole economy issue. Im not happy with this washer and would not recommend anyone to buy a Maytag brand washer.

Having issues with my mothers refrigerator, simple enough huh? She had misplaced my owners manual. NOW you buy the fridge, but like everything else, once they get your money youre basically on your own! I call to have a owners manual sent to her, she doesnt interact with the internet. I mean, there are still your older ones that doesnt even get on a computer. BUT I was told I couldnt get one! But when I bought it, I had one. Instead, I think its ridiculous how once, like any other major company, they get your money, and threw to the wind after that, something as simply as getting an owners manual for my fridge!!!! Last time I do business with MAYTAG!!!

The steam/heat produced by the oven has made the electronic (digital) control panel buckle. Yes! This is a thousand-dollar (plus) stove, and it has warped, through no fault of mine. When I want to cook something, I press the keypad to enter the number of cooking degrees that I want. The problem is, the control board is not working correctly. Regardless of my typing in 350, it will default to 100 degrees and stay at 100.As a teacher, I do not have a huge income. I was disgusted with my recent repair estimate of $80 for a service call, and a quote of over $600 for the replacement part, plus some not-yet-determined labor installation costs. Calling the 800 phone number for Maytag connected me to some local people working as independent and overpriced contractors in Los Angeles, California. They are not MAYTAG employees, so they are not well-informed about the product.I miss the time when manufacturers stood by their products, and had factory-trained and authorized employees available to make repairs. I bought this monster Maytag stove from Lowes. I am disgusted with both companies. I have gone online to research buying my own part and hiring a local yokel to put it in. Most everyone I have encountered has been a rip-off artist. I am teaching your kids and grand kids to read and write, and you dont want to help me repair my stove without price-gouging. I can use the burners to some stove-top cooking. Life has become a hassle without being able to cook.

Bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in November 2012 for a cost of $1,647.48. In August 2013 it stops making ice day 1, stops cooling & it is running nonstop, all lights on display go out day 2. Called Home Depot & was given another number to call, called that number was told someone would be out next day to look at it. Also told my warranty would expire in November & I needed to buy another warranty. Maytag customer service was very rude. If their product was any good why do I have to pay extra for another warranty. A $1,647.48 refrigerator that only lasts 9 months, REALLY!!! Do not purchase Maytag appliances if you dont want to lose your money. Shame on Home Depot for not standing behind their merchandise. If you have a problem while warranty is in effect, Home Depot should replace product.

We used our previous Maytag washing machine for about 15 years without any problems. But this machine on the first try was a big disappointment because it did not wash clothes very well. Clothes come out of washing machine smelling bad and you could see the soap scum on darker clothing. We try to return the machine to Home Depot after 3 days, but they said after 48 hours they could not take it back. So if there was any problems we had to call a technician to repair it. Well, there is nothing to repair because thats just the way the machine is designed to conserve water.Worst washer and the customer service is even worse than this machine because they just keep repeating that if there is nothing to repair then, there is no problem. So, therefore its not their responsibility. TERRIBLE!!! I even bought their extended warranty and that doesnt do anything with dissatisfaction on this product. If you are owner of this company or at least care about your company, you should stop making this kind of product, and listen to peoples complaints!!! What a waste of our hard earned money in this bad economy!!!

We bought a Maytag 2000 Series machine about 2 years ago. At first the machine worked great, as a new machine should. Then, after about 7 months water started pouring out of the top dispenser for detergent. I read the manual and looked online at the Maytag website for common problems. It said that sometimes small clothing gets sucked through the hose and needs to be unclogged. I followed the instructions to fix the problem. It worked fine for about 2 weeks later during the middle of a load the machine would stop and give me error codes. I looked these codes up and now I have another clog on the drain tube that needs to be fixed. Lo and behold these 2 problems have been continuing ever since. I cannot do a load of laundry without getting a code and having to take the machine apart. I called Maytag to explain my situation and the customer service representative said that because I fixed the problem myself at this point there is nothing that can be done. They do not guarantee that their equipment will work nor will they help solve the problem. I cannot believe that we spent so much money on something that I cant use. Not to mention the fact that when I do complete a load some of the clothes are ruined by the machine ripping holes in them. I would not recommend buying a Maytag because they dont care about customer satisfaction or the quality of machines they sell.

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

Food stored next to the ice dispenser freezes. Freezer floor builds up with 1 1/2 to 2 of ice every couple of weeks, door wont close and water leaks on floor.

We purchased our Maytag through Sears. We wanted a very basic machine, and thats what we found at Sears, yay! Fast forward eight years and it suddenly quit agitating. We tried fixing it ourselves by replacing a plastic gear part, which, later on our appliance technician said was totally logical, but it still wouldnt work. We got our appliance repairman out here and he took it into the shop and fixed the problem, which turned out to be part of the motor or something like that. The thing that bothers me the most is that he asked if we had bought a refurbished washer, but we hadnt, it was brand new. He gave us a part that was swapped out that wasnt made for the machine and also said the safety guard for the cord was missing. This keeps it from pulling out of the machine in case it gets jerked. I feel deceived and just wanted to vent because there really isnt anything I can do about it now. Buyer beware, yes, but I know we have to be our own technician sleuths to be sure were getting what we paid for?

While washing clothes in my Maytag front load washer, I noticed that there was water leaking from the front left corner from the bottom. I have owned the washer for only 2 years, and Maytag manufacturer (Whirlpool) told me that it was going to initially cost $80.00 for a service call and then more money to fix the leak. WOW. Also the wood floors that are underneath the washer and dryer, is starting to warp from the leaking washer. I would recommend DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG APPLIANCE. The warranty is basically worthless along with the washer.

Front load washer is four years old. Approximately two years after owning the washing machine it started burning and ripping our clothes. Maytag sent someone out to repair at no cost. The problem stopped. However, approximately two years later it is happening all over again. Thus, there is either a deficiency in the Maytag product or the repair has failed. Maytag will only repair at our cost. True, the washer is four years old but the same problem keeps happening. Plus, that is not a long time in the life of a washing machine. The customer should not be held responsible for a recurring problem with their product. The front load washer and dryer were very expensive. We will NEVER buy Maytag and we will continue to share our disappointment to whoever will listen. It is shameful that Maytag says they stand by their product but when its put to the test Maytag completely fail. Double thumbs down for Maytag and customer service!!!

I was in my bed and lights and TV flickered. Then, I heard a small explosion and my dogs went crazy. I went into the kitchen and my Maytag Gemini stove was smoking and smells really bad. I unplugged it. The sockets and the one close to it no longer work. My house stinks now. What happened? I have had this stove for a few years but it is not used often except during the holidays.

Ran washer with extra rinse and clothes came out with dry spots. The only way to get clean wash is to wash everything on bulky/sheets. We lost every appliance in Sandy. If I had known the machine was so-called water saver I never would have purchased it. I was in a hurry. I hate the machine.

I bought my black refrigerator in 2006. It has ice in the door and freezer on left side and refrigerator on right. I have not had any problem with my refrigerator and it continues to serve me well. When I need to buy another one, I will probably get a stainless that doesnt show handprints.

I have always hated soft touch control panels so I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher with old style push buttons. IT DID NOT CLEAN THE DISHES, so Lowes took it back and I was convinced to UPGRADE to an MDB7749SBB0 and was told this machine was top of the line, although it was VERY temperamental from the start. I guess I should have done my homework. I see now several complaints about the control panels not working. I was told that MAYTAG was a very reputable company and that they stand behind their product. WRONG!. The company KNOWS these panels have problems and should replace them free of charge as it is obviously a defect. Nope, first they offer to send someone out (In a week) to repair it at $80 just to look at it and the panel is over $100 to replace, and when I complained they tried to sell me extra coverage for $250. REALLY? What is the purpose of purchasing a QUALITY dishwasher? I might as well purchase a cheap dishwasher and replace it when it breaks. I think you should be responsible for your product when you have several complaints on a specific part.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

Neptune 4000 washer - Worst washer EVER! Two weeks after we bought it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. They replaced the bearing parts. Only cost us 450 in labor. One year later, again the bearing but this time we insisted on full coverage. 6 months later, here we are again! Most expensive washer in the history of washers and this is a KNOWN issue - yet Maytag gets away with it while consumers foot the bill! Ridiculous! Never again will I purchase their product and make dang sure everyone I know stays away too and everyone that hears my washer is in shock that it hasnt injured something or someone. Its only a matter of time!

I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL Top Loading Washer and matching dryer in 2013. I had a repairman out to install a new screen on the dryer because the lint was spilling over into the surrounding area. The new screen has been catching most of the lint, but I still have to vacuum the surrounding area after a few loads. Also, I have to turn the dryer on two (2) cycles in order to dry most of the clothes, and the machine makes a lot of noise. Those are minor problems compared to the washer. It constantly tears holes in my towels and wash clothes. I NEVER put in a full load because the water level is so low, and it does not clean the clothes. It takes a long time to go through cycles and it is EXTREMELY noisy.I called Maytag and they said that they never heard of the problem of creating holes in towels and wash clothes, and wanted to charge me over $100 to have a repairman come out. They also said that the repairman might not find anything wrong. I feel that the washing machine is very hard on the clothes - like the salesman at Lowes said It’s like beating the clothes against a rock. The washer and dryer are JUNK, and I would not recommend these to anyone! I would trash them, but they were very expensive and we cannot afford to buy new at this time.

I purchased a Maytag electric range model # MER8775AS in Feb 2012. While boiling syrup, the pan overflowed onto the oven door. As I began to clean up the spill I noticed that some of the spill had gotten inside the door on the inside of the oven glass. To remove the stain would require disassembly of the door. I called Maytag and complained of what I called a design flaw and they said, No, its your fault for spills entering the door. They even sent a condescending email to me informing me that if I needed to purchase parts, where I could get them. I designed appliances for years and this is another example of poor quality and lack of consumer service. I AM DONE WITH MAYTAG.

I have a front loader dryer, model number MAH5500BWW, serial number A9147862ec. All of a sudden, I found water on the floor and after opening up the front door, I see where around the part that sticks of on the inside of the door, there is a big piece of plastic that has broken off and cracked all the way across the bottom of the door and is missing. It is allowing the water to leak down the front of the bottom of the washer and onto the floor.

Bought a Maytag Bravo washer, suppose to be the best of its kind from Home Depot. Should of known I was in trouble when it took them over four months to deliver it. It lasted two years before the bearing went on the machine. Whirlpool/Maytag was of no help. Ironically, the machine Im using today is my old Maytag I bought 17 years ago. I purchased a brand new MHWE450WW01 Washer and MGDE500VW2 Dryer in February. The dryer takes forever to dry something; seriously, 3 hours for jeans! The washer sounded more like a jet engine taking off. I called Brothers Main, they sent a service person who identified right away that it was a known problem and he had over 6 repairs already, but be prepared to wait up to 3 months for the replacement parts. This is ridiculous. The service center, you can never get through to them and when you do, they dont seem to care. I had a 10-year old washer that made less noise than this brand new one that I spent $1800 for.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher in May of last year. The control panel went out about 3 months after we got it. It just started doing its own thing Like not running the wash cycle or a different cycle than we pushed. We called for a repair and were told by the repair man that the control panel was on the fritz. He ordered a new one and told us it would be a month before he could come back and install it. When the control panel showed up at our house, we installed it ourselves because we did not want to have a faulty dishwasher running in the house.Just yesterday we noticed a huge rusty area on the bottom rack. We called and were hold for 20 minutes if not more, before we were even able to talk to a rep. She then came up with every excuse as to why our rack was rusty (hard water, water changing??). We asked for a new rack but she wanted to send a repair kit. We were on the phone with her for half an hour, if not more, and she just refused to send a new rack. When we finally asked to speak to the manager we were told the wait time was 32 minutes and hung up! Do not buy crappy Maytag appliances with even crappier customer service reps! (see our review about our Maytag fridge!).

Bought this Maytag Bravos Washer online from Lowe’s in the holiday season of December 2017 because my previous Maytag HE washer broke after 17 years. I have had nothing but issues with this washer right from the start. The clothes do not come clean as I find myself putting them through the wash cycle two or three times to have them washed and come somewhat clean. The clothes come out soaking wet that I have to put them through the rinse and spin cycle at least one or two more times. I called Lowe’s to complain about this washer and they said they only have a 30 day return policy and they would be happy to call for service for me. I told them it didn’t work from the start but they didn’t care. So now, sadly, I have a repairman coming this week to fix my new washer, And hopefully he can fix it that I can use it and it can properly wash clothes. I wish I would have her read the reviews on Consumer Affairs about this washer before purchasing this Maytag. Not happy with Maytag. I would have never bought it and bought a different brand. Codes appear on the face of the washer better. Nowhere in the manual that I had to personally download myself because it didn’t come with one. And oh did I mention that I need a step ladder to reach into the bottom of the tub? This washer should come yellow because it is definitely a lemon!

Dryer doesn’t dry any size load in one cycle regardless of settings. Mysteriously, it triggers a message to check the lint filter and line when running a small load with nothing blocking the venting system. It never happens on large loads which would block more of the air flow. You could get a comparably sized dryer for much less. This not the premium product that you pay for.

DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG BRAVOS MCT WASHING MACHINE!!! I have had the machine for two and half weeks, it HAS NOT WORKED EVEN ONCE!!! Service was scheduled - again for a BRAND NEW machine - through Maytag/Whirlpool - and the service ordered never happened. We waited an entire day, 8 am - 4 pm, only to discover the service desk of Maytag doesnt work either. We purchased a 3K Maytag refrigerator/freezer and purchased an extended warranty as well. 5 months later the ice machine stopped working. We called Maytag to get it repaired since its under the 1 yr factory warranty and they sent an appliance service company they contract with to repair it. 6 service calls and two months later its still not repaired. I called Maytag back to say if you cant fix it please replace it. They say it needs to be deemed not repairable to even consider replacement and that they would send out a different repair company. As of yesterday (9/(9/14) another month and a half and 5 trips from the second repair company and it still does not work, so I call Maytag again to complain and they give me the same line ....needs to be deemed unrepairable... How long and how many service calls does it take to fix a ice maker? How much work and how many hours do I need to miss to get what I paid for? I went to their website and it talks about how their mission statement is customer service etc, etc, etc..... Thats just a bunch of lip service and judging by the HUNDREDS of complaints I have read this is their standard method of operation.... I for one will not let this go and will be filing a claim in small claims court to get what I paid for..... BE WARNED if you are looking to purchase a appliance.

Very easy to use- just dial the button to the load of your choice! The only problem I have is it becomes unbalanced sometimes on a heavy load. :( And it is also energy efficient and lets you know when it needs cleaning.

This has to be the biggest joke in the world for the respected name of Maytag! The engineers that developed this worst-of-all machines on the market must have been circumcised with pinking shears. 80 minutes for a wash cycle? Even rapid wash takes an hour of slowly spinning and spinning ad nauseam with almost no water. The clothes sit in the same position even on the very brief agitation cycle... Nope, the clothes do not come out clean, although if you add bleach to the dispenser, since there is no water in the tank, the bleach does triple duty and rots the clothes. Is this masquerading as energy efficient when all of the cycles are an hour long, about? Unfortunately it takes water to clean clothes and the environ-lack-of-mentalists must have bribed Maytag to develop the worst washer on the planet. Absolutely!

In December 2010, we purchased our Maytag Quiet Series dishwasher model #MDBM601AWB3, serial #NY2916421. At first the sanitize light quit working about 6 months ago. Today, September 30, 2012, this piece of crap will not turn on at all. There are no lights on at all. We paid almost $600.00. As far as being quiet, oh yes it is quiet alright! We the consumers are demanding a recall. Look at the complaints! Its a manufacturer defect in these control panels. I will not be forced into buying another dishwasher or a control panel. The problem with this dryer (MGD7230HW) is the sensors for drying time dont work. The dryer keeps going even when the contents are dry. Have to use manual timer to conserve energy. Not worth the cost.

2013 We purchased from Lowes Maytag washer and dryer front load stackable. We live in a house 1890. We have a closet that these units go into so we are restricted to what brand we can buy. WE read the reviews. People must lie or are paid to write good ones. Within a few weeks the washer was giving us trouble. The door latch was not closing properly and it would take up to 20-30 min. to get it to start. Called and they said the latch was stuck. Again started having problems on and off. Months went by and had another service call. Same issue. Fixed it again. 2014 again same problem. We have to order a new latch and some other part. They could not get the part. Called Maytag directly and they were back ordered. What does that tell you. This is a major problem so much so that no one anywhere had the parts. 6 wks to finally get it and got it fixed. But in the meantime, the dryer was not working correctly. The clothes were damp and lint was all over. It was like a steam bath. They came out and when they looked at the back of the dryer it was burnt. Now this is what upset me. He said it could have caught fire and burnt down our house. Nice. The dryer was shot. They said to fix it would cost more than it was worth. Our warranty gave us a new dryer. 3 wks later I have my washer and dryer back working. In the meantime we have spent more time at the laundromat than at home. Brand new washer and dryer and are going to the laundromat. We had the dryer 5 days before it stopped working. Brand new dryer. Called and got a service call. The spring on the start button was not correctly put in. Who inspects these products. This was not right from the factory. So they fix it. Said if it happened again they would need to replace the entire thing. I do not know what that means. That was Dec. End of Dec. the washing machine is not running through the cycle. It had weird display on the washer. Thought maybe it was overloaded. Had to cancel and drain and then hit drain and spin. This takes not only more time but more electricity. I put in 2 sheets and it did it again. Had a few loads that ran properly and again it started. Called for service. He comes out and the motor that runs the belt to spin and some circuit board is shot. They call 2 days later and say that no parts can be found anywhere. WTH! It is 18 mos old and already the parts are extinct. So the warranty company said it was not worth fixing. They are giving us a new washer.I remember the commercials about Maytag that the repairmen had nothing to do. Well I thought it was because they did not break down. No... they cannot find parts. This is unacceptable. We have to go through the inconvenience of them not working and schlepping to the laundromat baskets of clothes. In the winter this is not fun. We are retired. Have to walk down icy steps. I have a washer/dryer upstairs and I cannot use them. Dont work. Not just the aggravation of dealing with repairs but not getting parts available, then having to wait to get money back to order a new washer and dryer and then get the dryer and 5 days later it doesnt work. Now we have to wait 2 wks for a new washer. It better work. Have to buy the warranty over again on each product cause they fulfill it when they buy you a new product. So this costs us extra money. The money we pay at the laundromat. The cost of electricity every time we have to run the washer 3-4 times to get it to spin out the water so I can dry them.To say I am upset is an understatement. I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. I purchased Maytag Bravos XL Steam Washer brand new from Lowe’s in January 2018. HORRIBLE washer! Does not get clothes clean and leaves soap and scum all over clothes. I have to wash everything on power wash with an additional rinse cycle (takes about 2 hours per load) and clothes still don’t come out clean. I often have to wash a load 2 or 3 times to get it clean. Will NEVER PURCHASE another Maytag product! What is even worse is that I also bought the Maytag “commercial technology” washer at the same time. It’s an even more TERRIBLE washer. Cannot get through one cycle without getting an LF (low flow) error & the cycle shuts off and machine drains & quits. Absolutely the two WORST washers I’ve ever owned in the past 40 years!!!

Heavy wash, normal wash, light wash, rinse only, auto clean, delay 1-9, heated dry, sanitize, tough scrub, extra rinse. Regular size 24. Beige color. Electronic buttons. Maytag Quiet Series 200: I do not like the racks for putting dishes in. Otherwise it holds a lot. It does not clean dishes if you do not rinse them off first. If you run the dishwasher immediately after putting dishes in it will clean them off. Sometimes it leaves water standing. Even with what I have said I really like this dishwasher. We have had the dishwasher a long time. We use it at least 2 times a week.

I ordered my dream refrigerator (Maytag Model MFT2776FEZ) on 05-12-2017. I had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive because it was on back-order. I was willing to wait. All was good for 6 months. January 2018, the six month old refrigerator quit cooling. It took 2 1/2 from the service call until the part came in to fix before I could use my refrigerator again. I lost all my food. The same thing happened again in March 2018 except that it took 4 weeks for the part to come in once the serviceman ordered it. I lost all my food for a second time. February 2019, the same thing happened again. I placed the service call on 01-31-2019 for service, but the tech could not come out until 2/6/19. The part had to be ordered and could not be installed until 2-28-2019. For the 3rd time, Ive lost my food. My best friend that has appliances that are nearly 30 years old. She was going to replace all of hers and get exactly what I ordered. She has changed her mind and has decided she would rather keep her outdated appliances because they work.

I purchased by Maytag Bravo from Lowes exactly 1 year ago when the gearbox failed. There was a loud grinding sound as the washer tried to shift from wash to spin. Reading through some on-line reviews and complaints it turns out that this is not a new problem and has been known to Maytag for some time. I specifically bought a Maytag because of their prior reputation for quality. Unfortunately, my information was out of date. It is so sad that a company would compromise such an outstanding reputation.

I saw something on your website about Maytag Neptune class action suit back in late 2005. I have owned one, never was notified of the settlement, and saw this since I have a mildew problem also in my washer. They are not willing to do anything about the repair on my machine, but send out someone and make me pay for it. Since I bought it in 2002, I would want to know why was I not included in the repairs and why wont they honor me in this since I am the machines original owner. Help, I worry that I am not having clean clothes and it is contributing to illness due to mold spores!

MDB4949SDM1 - After owning Maytag model MDB/C-2 for thirteen (13) plus years, I decided to purchase the subject Maytag Model when my 13 year old died. Big mistake. Previous model was very simplistic in rack design and it provided user-friendly options such as two detachable baskets for silverware and a special rack for delicate items.The new model has been designed so your dishes go in on angles on the top rack and as such bowls, small plates etc never stay in place once you move the rack and the lower rack configuration was redesigned and the rear area which was open to allow for bigger pots and pans to fit better has been removed, so now you have to lay your pans on top of the tines, very difficult to low the dishwasher.Additionally, I purchased the stainless steel model; apparently in the coating process a drip pattern was sealed that you can see when sunlight hits dishwasher. Further the stainless steel face that they bond to the door has popped, so when you grab the handle the face pops in and out. Lastly the new design has an adjustable upper rack; I tried numerous times to adjust the rack and couldnt so when I called Customer Service for these issues, it basically boils down to if the Service Man comes out and determines my issues are cosmetic and the rack which Ive never been able to adjust should happen to work then I have to pay the service call as there is not warranty coverage. So I declined the Service Call and advised that this would be my last Maytag purchase. I highly recommend anyone considering this unit fully investigate and test out before buying.

MF12569YEM2 - Purchased refrigerator less than 2 1/2 years ago, also started having issues with ice forming in bottom freezer and leaking on to floor. I shut the water source off to the water/ice feature, but it didnt solve the problem. After getting on this site and seeing the issue is quite widespread it seems that it should be considered a manufacturing defect. This is the second (actually third) Maytag Refrigerator we have had, one had actually needed to be replaced about 13 years ago because of electrical problem which service man said could cause it to catch fire. The replacement (different model) worked fine for about 11 years... so we decided to try Maytag again... WHAT A MISTAKE! After reading about the multiple problems we can look forward to and endless service calls I too would never purchase any Maytag or Whirlpool appliances in the future...maybe the company should think about the impact on lost consumers!

TRASH! Bad, Destructive, Dangerous. I am in awe of the worthless, destructiveness of this machine. This washing machine does not add enough water to even cover clothing. It agitates, tangles & tears clothing. You end up with dirty filthy tangled clothing. And this is after waiting for it to make some kind of idiot decision as to whether or not to wash your clothes at all. I frequently go out and it’s made a decision not to start at all. There also is no lint filter, so subsequent loads of laundry are dirtier than the first. You can’t wash clothes without enough water to cover them. I read online that it adds water depending on the weight of the clothing, so wet the clothing first to make it think it’s a heavier load. When you do that it spins the clothes first before it begins to wash them. Your clothes still come out of the machine dirty. If you’re looking for revenge, make someone a gift of this washing machine. Otherwise, put it out with the trash.

I purchased the top load Maytag Commercial Residential washer with an agitator last month. I wanted a basic washer with Hot/Warm/Cold settings, Delicate/Normal/Heavy Duty cycles, Small/Medium/Large loads. I paid over $800 for this washer and I cannot wash my whites or rags in hot water! The hot water setting dispenses hot water, then cold water, back and forth. The end result is cool water. Ive called Maytag, Ive been told that there is nothing that can be done about it, thats how theyre made to be considered HE. I asked them why they even put a hot or warm water setting on the washer.You have no control over the water level, all cycles except for normal run in a deep water setting (full drum of water), I dont know why delicates are in a deep water setting. I only wash a couple pieces of delicates together. I end up using a lot more water and detergent with this washer. I hope we dont have to conserve water in the next few years! So though this washer uses less hot water energy, it wastes a lot of water, my water bill goes up and my detergent is used up much quicker! I cannot add time to my wash cycle, (the actual washing/agitation cycle is very short - 10 minutes) it has to drain all of the water and re-start the cycle with more water! $800 is a lot of money for a washer that doesnt wash like my old cheap washer. The local store cant do anything about it and Maytag brushed me off.

Product number MMV4205DS. Beautiful, felt solid. Right away when we would put in a time to cook and hit start, the thing would say Open Close Door. First we thought it was moisture, and we would wipe the seal, then lifting the door a little helped. A month might go by and we would repeat this process. I did a little research and found the microwave is known for this. After the warranty was up, it got worse. My husband put a little screwdriver in the door clamp. The plastic guard that held the door shut fell behind the opening. Mulling over whether to call for repairs or buy a new one, we decided the latter. I am buying another one just like it, because the holes in the wall will match for an easy swap and it matches my suite. This time I took out the 3 year warranty, which I will hold Maytag responsible for any more problems. They say if they come and fix it 4 times in a year they will declare it a lemon and replace. I figure this will work in my favor because the microwave lasts a year!

Hello, I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer model MVWX655DW from the Home Depot in June of 2017. I can provide the receipt. Within 6 months I had a broken lid switch and the unit would not move through the cycles. Luckily, I had the ability to replace the lid switch at the cost of about $100 just for the part. The repair was fairly involved. This summer, the unit failed to agitate, upon much research, I learned the washer drive hub (which makes the washer agitate and spin) was worn out. It was made of plastic and it is quite a job to get the cover plate off and to replace this part which ranges in price from $20-$45. This is a fairly difficult job and I would not recommend it to most people. It should not be needed in a 3 year old machine. Upon inspection of the drive shaft teeth when I took the washer apart, I found the steel teeth to have significant wear. Why? Now, in mid-November, same issue, the plastic drive hub is worn out again! I was told maybe my shock absorbers for the drum needed to be replaced as the drum may be shaking too much. My previous washer was good for 18 years and I replaced it with this highly recommended model Maytag with the chrome basket. This is absolutely the worst appliance I have had and with every repair, I viewed many, many people with the same complaints and feeling that Maytag should issue a recall on these machines. I will be contacting Maytag and Home depot with my review. The HD installer also stripped the plastic valve one of the water hoses goes on that I had also to replace. A $40 dollar part. This took some disassembly but not as bad as replacing the drive hub every three months. Needless to say, I have to buy a new machine after 3 years of unreliability with his machine. A waste of $500 + of my hard earned money. Very, very disappointed. If I wasnt mechanical and able to fix this washer, it would have cost me hundreds in repair bills. I have receipts of the parts I have purchased for this unit. I hope your experience is better if you have owned one of these machines. Maybe I just got a bad one but many people have complained about this model so I dont believe I am alone. I hate to see good people spend their money on poorly constructed machines. I certainly expected more than 3 years out of a brand new appliance. Maytag and Home Depot have lost a good, long time customer unless they want to make it right. Please feel free to contact me.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator less than two years ago because... its Maytag. Less than a year later we had five service calls. The refrigerator wasnt cold, the freezer was the temperature of the refrigerator and it took two months and two different repair companies to fix it. And now... yes, the same problem seems to be occurring. It was a leak that was supposed fix. Cant bear the idea of going through this all over again. NEVER again Maytag!!!

We purchased Maytag dishwasher model #MDBH989AW53 in January 2010. June of 2012 the control panel died. Luckily, we had the extended warranty. The service company came and replaced the panel. 3 weeks ago, the panel died again! The service company replaced the panel again. Today I got home and the dishwasher is completely dead! I am so furious!!! At this point, I may just have to bite the bullet and buy a brand new machine. This should NEVER happen to an appliance that is so new! What a laugh regarding the Maytag quality! It is the WORST I have ever seen in my life! Stay away from Maytag!!!! Buyer beware!!!!

I bought my Maytag refrigerator Sept. 2013 and now in December, 2014 it is dead. After five visits from Maytag to repair it, they say it will cost $1,200 to repair it. The advice the man gave me was throw it out and buy something different. The refrigerator never worked right from the beginning. Four of the visits were in the warranty period. Compressor and evaporator shot. NEVER AGAIN. Maytag does not stand behind what they sell.

Bought the Maytag high efficiency washing machine with the auto-sensing and deep water wash feature. It took some getting use to because of all the washing choices and different noises it makes. Auto-sensing seems to use very little water which is strange but clothes seem to come out clean. Best bet for me is like the old school way and use deep water wash and light load which is shorter and thats most efficient power wise but will use more water which is fine by me. Also bought the matching dryer and thats a 5 star review. Excellent product.

It doesnt clean as well as the cheap GE model we have at our beach cottage. Also it is very noisy. Disappointing. Will never buy a Maytag dishwasher again.

Called about our upteenth issue with our Maytag microwave. Was told the part was covered but we would have to pay for service. The last tech told us how to wiggle the part to make it work. Paid a fortune and it broke again. They do not care about customers!!

We bought a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator a little over a year ago and have nothing but problems with it. It leaks and has ruined my hardwood floors. The lift lid for the meat and cheese broke. I have had other refrigerators with kids at home for 10-12 years and never had these problems. It is just my husband and me now so I know it does not get the abuse other refrigerator that were different brands received. I would never buy another Maytag refrigerator. I have been so disappointed with the product and the service. I read some other reviews and have to agree that Maytag could care less about their customers. I have also received several Im sorry, but basically we cannot help you.

We bought the fridge (MFF2258VEW2) about 5 years ago. We have had nothing but problems. First it was the water leaking all over the floor. The repair man said the drain tube in the back was too small. That was replaced. Then the door gaskets were replaced. The doors still do not stay closed. Again water leaking all over the floor. The bottom of freezer had ice all over it. I had to take the back of the fridge and freezer. For 2 days I had a fan blowing on to defrost it. The door shelves are cracked and falling off. I had to pay for the hooks that hold up the bottom shelf 5 times and again they are broken. The long narrow slide out shelf is broken. Food in the back of the fridge are freezing. I have contacted Maytag a lot and they will not fix the problems. At the same time I bought the fridge I bought a Maytag top load HE washer and a drier. I had to throw out the washing machine last year. It would have cost me too much money to fix it. I will never EVER buy Maytag again.

I bought a Maytag washer about 4 months ago and the dryer the washing machine has went down a couple of times but I managed to get it to start again. This time it will not start back up. It just as a little water and stuff and will not lock and wash. It never gets the clothes clean and you have to wash them twice or at least a residue on the clothing. I hate this washer and Im very saddened that Maytag will not come out - told me that they had to find someone. There was no one in the area that could fix my washer. It has been nearly a week now and no response from them. Im going to have to buy another washer. I am so upset to spend nearly 800 some dollars on a brand new washing machine and it does not work. I think that was all the complaints that I have seen on this page so somebody needs to put them on the news and also someone needs to start a lawsuit against this company. Shame on you Maytag. Very unhappy with your product and you.

Weve had our Maytag dishwasher for less than 4 years when the control panel quit. The repairman came today. He was here 10 minutes and it cost us half as much as a new dishwasher. Its just the two of us and we use the dishwasher once every 4-5 days. Almost laughed when the repairman said the part and labor was under warranty for 90 days! There is no quality control anymore. Just greed.

We have a Maytag Dishwasher Model MDBTT60AWB purchased from Lowes about 8 or 9 years ago. This model was included in the huge 2010 recall of 1.7 million units due to the possibility of heater-unit fires. For the last couple of years, its had a problem staying on the selected cycle: After being started on normal wash, it reverted to rinse only after a few seconds, but eventually quit responded to the selection of other cycles altogether. Removing the back from the door to expose the innards revealed the ribbon cable that connects the circuit-board head to the control panel had worked loose. Reattaching it provides a temporary fix, but it eventually works loose again. We suppose the screw holding the back to the door will strip sooner or later, but by then well probably be so fed-up with fixing it that buying a new (non-Maytag) one wont seem like a bad option.

I love it. Laundry as well as horse blankets. It does it all! I have never ever had one problem with it. Love the delay start setting as well as the extra rinse cycle.Easy to clean the gasket and keep the soap dispenser out to air between washes!

We have a 3 year old washer dryer. The wash stopped working so we called Maytag directly to have their repair person come look at their product. Little did we know that they sub contract repair to local companies I could have contacted myself. After being told the authorized dealer was Maytag I soon found out it was not a Maytag employee. The man who came has no idea what is wrong and is guessing at issues. Once a installed part is not the cause he wants to try something else but we have to pay for him to trial and error.We have spent hundreds of dollars and yet our washer is still broken. We have decided to go buy another washer as this is our cheaper option (it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool). When I tried to talk to ** (Maytag manager who lied on the phone to me and was very rude) manager I was talking to refused and told I had to file my complaint with her co-work. I have never heard of this! We will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool (same company) as our dishwasher after 1 year 3 months old needed a new motor total repair $450.00. Their products break down early.

The control panel died on this dishwasher (MDB7749) after only 2.5 years of light use. I was quoted about $250.00 plus labor to have the panel replaced. I will not fork over several hundred dollars for a defective panel, especially since many others have complained about repeated failures and known issues with the control panel. No more Maytag products for me. I plan to purchase a Bosch to replace it.

The Maytag Bravos XL Gas Dryer I purchased less than a year ago has stopped working three times. The dryer stops producing heat. I am now about to call Maytag repair again and waste time and energy setting up a warranty service call. I spent a lot of money in order to go to the Laundromat on a Sunday. Do not purchase this dryer if you would like to be able to dry clothes at home with any type of consistency or confidence. Arrrggg!

I purchased a Maytag Epic Z Front Load Washer less than 5 years ago, and there is only 1 person in my household. I replaced a part that the technician said was bad for $300 and that didnt work, so they replaced another part for another$ 200. Then, when that didnt work, Whirlpool deemed my washer irreparable, and they will not stand behind their product. This is totally unacceptable, and I will never buy another Whirlpool product. I will also tell others that they do not stand behind their product. If this was a 20 year old product, I would understand but it is not typical for something like this to happen.

Here recently I got a bravos washer x series because it suppose to cut down water usage. Well that it did. Now going on 7 months of having it now its starting to act up like when the cycle is done it will lock again and repeat the cycle all over. I use the normal or powerwash cycle and here recently how its suppose to sense the load and then start spraying the clothes with water and detergent. Well not here. Lately it still senses and spins and then starts filling up like its on the bulky/sheet cycle but its on normal cycle and it doesnt fill all the way up - just 4 or 5 inches of water. So I dont know what is up with this piece of crap and why its acting this way. Other times it will work fine on the normal and the other cycles but now its just acting all crazy.

We are a family of three. We purchased our Washer and Dryer New, November 2011 at Lowes, in Lindale TX. I am disabled. I have had several spine surgeries and getting ready for another. I was injured at work and it left me crippled. I do not receive any benefits from my County Employer. My wife is a schoolteacher. We live on a limited income after my accident. We purchased this set with utmost confidence, our last set was twenty years old. We updated due to water, electric, and the environment. Our Maytags we had were still usable, it was just time for their retirement. They were hand me downs washer and dryer set. Truly! I dont know how old they were. When our washer started having troubles, it was making a horrible noise. We called Hughes Appliance. Theyre an authorized Maytag Repair Service Warranty Center. They sent Mark out we used them before. He stated the motor was not loctited from the factory. It worked its way loose almost coming completely off. This cost me a $85 service call. Mark also stated that the Tub Bearings were going out because off this. He called Maytag Customer Service and Dealer Warranty Service, said they wouldnt pay for the repairs or even the Service call for their factorys snotty WorkmanShip. I tried calling myself and got absolutely nowhere. I was polite, courteous and nice and they still Said, Sorry, We Know its less than three years old but thats the way it is. Sorry Sir! Have Nice Day! Its going to cost $389 to replace the tub bearings in top load washer. The washer only cost about 750 less than three years ago. Its the most expensive clothes washer Ive ever owned. One thing! If they dont make things right, I promise I will never own a Maytag again! And when I am in a store and see someone looking at their product I will make a point to tell them my situation and about my Maytag Washer. One thing is certain I can make sure young customer dont buy the wrong appliances while I sit patiently in my wheelchair waiting on my wife. Thanks Maytag! Its not What You Did For Me!
