Bought the set at Home Depot. The gear box went out after 2 1/2 months of use. I called the manufacturer warranty site and spent close to an hour on the phone then was given an appointment to have a service repair person look at it. Two days before the scheduled service call they called and said they would have to move the appointment out by a week. After diagnosing the problem, oil all over the floor and stained clothes from the oil, was told it could be up to 2 weeks until the part arrived and installed. So my warranty is being used up while the machine is out of service for a month. Beware of buying a Maytag!!!

Purchased 6 11 21 from Menards. $1100.00. With extended warranty $134.99. Lid lock inoperative on 9 11 21. Called Menards, past 30 days. They will not help. Called Maytag, took 2 weeks to get a diagnosis on issue, while technician was there week of 28th the motherboard fired. Another month, part came in October 23rd then wiring harness fired, and pump also. 1 week for parts, which were replaced, Technician came and was stumped as it still doesnt work. Diagnosis after this appointment for the pump replacement is clutch, rotor & stator are fried.Nov 18th, new rotor came in and Technician says although brand new in box, it is defective from factory. New one ordered. In meantime I have called maytag every week with no results, they tried to get me to accept 100.00 gift card, I laughed, as we are a family of 6 and generally have 6-8 loads a week. And have spent on average 70.00 a week for the last 14 weeks, we could have bought another washer by now. Last maytag lasted 16 years! This one 3 months...They finally decided to replace it, but we wont recieved it for another 4-5 weeks. So, 20 - 22 weeks of no brand new washer bought in good faith, brand rep, and paid for based on prior experience. So far, No customer service, No brand reputation, No product longevity. I will never buy another maytag, ever. If you only had negative stars to award this useless product. This is almost criminal, and is close to being fraudulent and willfully deceitful. I bought a Maytag dishwasher MDB7749AWM1 in May of 2011. Yesterday, the on button would not work, so I called a serviceman out from Maytag. He said the whole panel needs to be replaced, parts and service will cost me $240.00. What a shame. 2 months out of warranty. I had two previous Maytag dishwashers, lasted for years with no problem. I wished I researched more before I purchased, but like most people, I believed in the reputation of Maytag. Like many others - my control panel started to go out 19 months after install: Had my first event with the washer; it would not allow me to select normal wash. A high-end machine shouldnt have electrical connection problems within 19 months, just 7 months after the warranty expires.When the repairman pulled apart our machine, he found a similarly burned looking touchpad ribbon cable, that was burned in exactly the same position as the photos shown on Maytags website under the review referred to. My refrigerator is several years old, and I would buy the same brand when I need a new one, although I would hopefully buy a counter depth one because my kitchen is so small, and the one I have now is kind of big for the space.

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

Bravos XL IS A JUNK. I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2 years at most and it is junk. I called. Told/complained them about the noise during wash cycle and spinning. The 10 years warranty is falsely. The 10 years warranty is covered only 2 components in the entire machine ???? and does not include the labor cost of $130.00 an hour. Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I have bought 2 high end top loader models (Maytag centennial commercial), brand new both from Home Depot. The problem is Maytag is making them cheaper! Suspension is coal springs that suspends the load so if you fill it up, it lowers the drum to the floor, instead of a bottom bracket that supports the weight from lowering the drum to the floor! Second is the pulley system with the belt drive that wears through the plastic casing. You know some people dont have $900 or $1,000 for a machines that says commercial or heavy duty that only last 4 years when you have a family of six! Very very sad, will never buy another Maytag.

I purchased this set 2/15/2014 and have never been more disappointed with a product! The washer is top loading high efficiency and there is NO water level for different sizes of loads. If I add two small items or a load of towels the water level is the same and the larger loads do not get clean, I can only run very small loads of clothes and sometimes even those do not get cleaned. I have seen soap on some items because there was not enough water to rinse it all out - and I measure the soap very carefully. Additionally, when using bleach for whites it stays in the washer even after running a second rinse with the tub empty to clean it out. I have ruined a lot of items due to bleach stains. And shortly after getting the washer something came loose and it rattles every time it spins making it very noisy. I am seriously considering selling this set with a huge loss and purchasing another washer so that I will not ruin anymore clothes and to be sure my clothes get cleaned. I have had the set for 8 months and will never recommend this product to anyone.The dryer has its issue as well. It shuts off before the clothes are dry every time I try to dry a load and sometimes 5 minutes or less after I start it. I have to use the timer all the time because the auto settings shut off while the clothes are wet. Additionally, I have to run most loads for 2-3 cycles to get the clothes dry. My reliable old dryer of almost 20 years dried my clothes perfectly with the auto time settings and was a far superior dryer than this one.

Purchased a new Maytag dishwasher three years ago. After having it for one year the panel box no longer worked. Had to pay $300.00 to repair. Now half way through washing the dishes again no water will go into the machine. Only the first part of the cycle. I am sure it is going to be the panel box after reading other peoples problems with this machine. I will not pay to have it fixed this time. I will have to buy a new dishwasher. I will never purchase a Maytag product ever again. I have lived in my home for 40 years and never had a problem with any appliances. This would have been my third dishwasher in 40 years and as you can see it has not even lasted 4 years. I will inform my friends to stay away from Maytag.

I have the same problem noted by the other posts. Water leaking on hardwood floor from the bottom of the freezer. Refrig is out of warranty. Also, the deli drawer is also broken. This is a $2000 refrigerator and the quality is terrible. Please contact me for class action suit inclusion.

As others have stated, cant wash more than a couple towels or 2 pair of blue jeans. The washer is useless. Purchased Maytag for quality and received crappy worthless machine. Maytag should take returns and refund buyers money!

We purchased our Maytag fridge on May 13, 2013. On June 19, 2013, it stopped working. We called Home Depot where we bought the fridge and they told us that we would have to deal with Maytag. What a nightmare. The repair guy came out and ordered a compressor for the fridge. 2 days later, when the compressor came in, the repair guy told us that the fridge was unrepairable. Great, what was I supposed to do with this hunk of metal now? I called Home Depot back, and they ordered me a new fridge, added a five-year warranty for free, and the Store Manager even dropped off a small dorm size fridge for us till our new one came in. Yeah for Home Depot!!!! I would recommend no one ever buy a Maytag product again - what a piece of junk. Their customer service didnt even care; they had the same old story - We will get back with you in 72 hours. Maytag was good when it was built in the US; now its just more China Junk.

I called Sears to have a simple repair done to my Neptune washer and received a quote for $800.00++. They gave us a coupon to get a new washer at Sears and we did. Last week my dryer broke and I looked the repair up on Youtube. It looked real simple. A quote for $270 was given to us. Again a coupon if we wanted to buy new. It seems to me Sears jacks the price up on its parts and labor in order to push the customer to buy new. So far its worked for them and Im sure everyone else as well. Its not going to work out for Sears this time. Im no longer doing business with them and I will do the repair myself. I still got stuck with the service call but that will end as well going forward because I know now what the game is. Shame on you Sears. Double thumbs down for my Maytag Neptune washer and dryers.

We bought our set when they first came out at Home Depot. We gave a pretty penny for the set. The first complaint was soon after I got them home; the washer gets the clothes so tangled up its hard to get them out sometimes. The 2nd complaint is, for a couple months now, the UL light comes on and beeps. I have to open the lid, close it and it starts that part of the cycle over and it usually does 4 to 5 times before it actually spins and finishes. I put it in the shop; they said they cant find out whats wrong with it. They said the leveling rods are still new looking. I was like, I know its still a newer set. Its money for nothing. I agree with everyone one else and their experience with these washers. I took advantage of a credit for those replacing old washers with new HE washers. IF I COULD ONLY GET MY OLD WASHER BACK!!! Its only 2 years old and it sounds like - what others have said, like a B52 taking off (during the spin cycle). I dont have rust spots inside of the machine or out so Im not sure what the issue is but I really dont want to invest in a couple hundred of dollars to this thing. It stinks, doesnt clean well and now this! VERY disappointed...VERY. As a single mom, the thought of finding money to replace something that is new just disgusts me! Nothing like the old washers that last for 18+ years. Nice Maytag I will never purchase another product of yours and will spread the word!

I have owned this Maytag washer model # MVWC360AW0 since Dec/2013. I do not have a single complaint about this machine. It has worked flawlessly for 5 years and am very happy with it. I just follow common sense maintenance like cleaning it once every month (do a full cycle with just borax & baking soda 1/2 cup each) no clothes of course. Another thing I do is to leave it open after I am done washing so it dries completely before I close the lid. The washer looks and works like new, cant be happier...

Maytag 2000 series front load washer - f you are looking for a front load washer DO NOT buy a Maytag! I purchased a new front load washer dryer set late 2013 and have regretted to washer ever since. Continual electrical problems, door gasket needed replaced almost immediately AND the worst part is that it has ruined over $1000 worth of clothing due to it trapping cloth between the drum and door and wearing holes in them. No matter how I load the clothes or sort them it continues. I have contacted Maytag and was told I have no recourse as the warranty is over. I was very disappointed because I have had Maytag products in the past and had no problems. Please, think twice before buying this washer! It will cost much more than just the ticket price!!!

Approx. 3 year old Maytag Dishwasher Control Panel lights blinking with Dishwasher inoperable. Repair part (new Control Panel) costs approx. $180 plus tax. When you add the cost of a service repairman you are nearly at the price of a new dishwasher. I am completely unhappy with this Maytag Product and will never buy another Maytag Product again.

I bought this Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7749SBM2 and of course it ran great until the warranty was up and then the touch pad started acting up where if you would press normal every other thing would light up. I replaced the keypad and then the controller and its working at this point again. The keypad ribbon cable had a big burn mark in it and by all these complaints it seems like an issue Maytag has and does not want to address. Luckily I work on electrical and was able to do this myself and I had no labor but over $300.00 in parts. What upsets me is I bought because of the reputation and the Made in America on it and it was replacing a 20 yr old Kenmore that was still working great when I took it out. With all the complaints about the same issue Maytag which is Whirlpool would step up to the plate and fix this. No more Maytags/Whirlpool for me again.

I have purchased my top loader Bravos washing machine 3 1/2 years ago and I have had nothing but troubles with my machine. I have had to replace the motherboard twice and I constantly have that foul smell in all our clothes. I have to wash each load twice and still the smell doesnt come out. I have also complained numerous times about the water level not being correct, but they keep saying that is how the high efficiency machine is. I can watch my load washing because we have the clear lid which I like. But at the same time, it gets me really angry seeing how this doesnt clean clothes like it should. I dont believe that the water levels are right at all. I have clothes that dont even get turned over as they are washing and I have even smaller loads than before. I can only clean 4 adult pairs of jeans at one time and I still think that is too much. I clean my machine every time the red light turns on with the Affresh tablets and sometimes I run a clean cycle with just bleach. Maytag has done nothing to try and correct these problems. Its so sad that I have to take my clothes to the laundry mat to go wash them and there I have absolutely no problems. They have the HE front loaders and they have enough water to wash my clothes and I can actually see them being washed. I will never buy a Maytag washer or dryer again. How sad you have all these complaints and no one to help you fix or correct them the right way.

Purchased this Maytag dishwasher (Model DB7749SBM2) from a Sears 2014, no problems until now in late June 2014. The control panel is not responding. Start/Resume light is off, pressing it doesnt seem to do anything. Cancel light is off, pressing it does trigger the cancel drain process. Wash Cycle choices either dont respond, or for 2 of the choices engage an incorrect cycle. Option choices dont respond. Delay light comes on when an incorrect cycle choice displays but stays at 2 hours, cannot be toggled off or to a different delay length. Holding Control Lock or Delay for 3 seconds doesnt seem to clear the circuit board logic. Problem began with the Cycle choice buttons defaulting to Rinse Only. Control panel behaves not at all or incorrectly as described above. Seems to be a common Maytag control board/panel problem. We need help as we are unable to afford repair or another dishwasher. This time, it will not run at all. I called customer service today (August 11, 2015) and they expect me to pay for the repair. Repairman already said electronic board bad at a cost of around $300 just for the parts. It is easy to Google and find multiple review sites that indicate hundreds of consumers have similar problems, but Maytag will not acknowledge any issue. Based on the pattern the warranty is not going to help as it goes out just after a year. For only having it 1 1/2 years it is becoming very expensive. There should be a recall on this control panel.

I also have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher. The front panel has stopped working. It was a horrible dishwasher from the beginning. The dishes were streaky on the top rack. And I had to replace the rollers after just over a year. The upper rack has rust on it. The Maytag double ovens I bought at the same time had to be replaced within a year, as the racks damaged the porcelain interior. I also wish I had found your site before my purchases. My husband is not working now. So, I guess we will be washing dishes the old fashioned way.

Our Maytag dishwasher was just past the 1-year mark when the control panel stopped working. A certified Maytag repair service came out to diagnose just that and charged us $89. Maytag sent the user interface out to us, and my husband noted that there was absolutely no way that the part could be installed wrong. The wires could only go one way. The repair service (DSM Appliance Service) wanted another $120 to install it. We installed it, and it still doesnt work. Maytag will no longer assist us in any way. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. After investigating, I see that this control panel issue has happened many, many times; and I wonder why there hasnt been something done about it.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer 3 years ago, thinking I was buying a high quality washer and dryer seeing that it has the Maytag name on it. When it was nine months old, I had to have the complete tub assembly replaced. Now coming upon three years old, I am having similar issues with the machine so I called out a repair service out to see what my options are. Come to find out this time that the shocks that support the tub are bad. All three of them need to be replaced at a price of $455.00. At this point, it is not worth putting the money into it. Maytag, 3 years old and I am having to start shopping for another washer. It will not be a Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Washer Model MVWB765FW in April 2017. Its transmission has failed, makes lot of noise. The cost to repair is about $500. for Parts and Labor, under the 10 year Limited Warranty, as advised by Factory Service. I am better off buying a new Washer for that cost. Faulty Maytag Bravos electronic dryer model MEDB400VQ0 - I purchased a new Maytag Bravos washer and dryer in Feb 2011. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed the dryer not drying my clothes. They were hot, but not dry, leaving them hot and steamy. There was also wet lint that kept accumulating inside of the dryer. I took the back off of the dryer to see if there was an obvious problem and I found the blower belt and large bolt that holds one end of the belt to be off and laying on the bottom of the dryer. I have also looked online and did a search on this make and model and the issue I was having, it brought numerous people having the same problem on multiple internet forum sites. Apparently, there is also a service bulletin on this exact issue, but according to the Maytag customer service department, no recall. Therefore, I am out of luck as far as getting any kind of repair (unless I pay for it) because I am out of warranty by 3 weeks. I purchased the Maytag brand thinking this was going to be the best and will last me a very long time. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It only lasted me one year without breaking down and the customer service department is horrible. You can tell they definitely dont stand by their name, the Maytag name is a thing of the past. I will never recommend this brand to anyone else for purchase and I regret having swayed my mother to purchase the very same set I did. This has been an awful experience and I am wishing I had chosen a different brand. Maytag leaves me angry and very much dissatisfied.

I told the customer service agent that Id be happy with an estimate of any parameter: the maximum water demand for any cycle, the minimum, the average any ballpark estimate would be great! My goal is to change in a meaningful way our weekly water use. How much does it matter if I do my familys laundry once vs. twice per week? Is it any more water-efficient to run one large load vs. two small ones? The Customer Service agents would offer only a scripted response to my query. Could they tell me the minimum or maximum amount of water used (on average) by any of the cycles? Any cycle any condition, just an estimate, please. A universal it depends was all I could extract.The scripted answer? The amount of water used depends on the sensor and the exact conditions. Well, yes, of course; I dont expect a specific amount. Just as the amount of gas used by a car depends on the length of a trip and the speed driven, the amount of water used per cycle will vary, but nevertheless we know, more or less, how much gas is used by a Toyota Camry on a trip between New York and the Maytag Customer Service office in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I noted that, if Maytag claims to build high efficiency (HE) machines, then they must be HE in comparison to something, right? -- otherwise how could they claim that these machines used less water? Less than... what?** insisted that no one at Maytag could tell me the answer. He asked, What reason could Maytag have not to disclose this information? I know this isnt the answer you want to hear, but its simply not available. Not even a range of water use per cycle required/solicited/demanded by the sensor? Can Maytags engineers be so indifferent that they never tested any cycle for its water use, but instead they just imagine that, by virtue of its mysterious sensor, it was lower than the use by their non-efficient machines? I purchased a Maytag Washer Bravos Quiet series 300 & a Dryer Bravos Quiet series 400 w/ steam in June 2009 from Lowes. I cant express my dissatisfaction in strong enough language with these products. From the time they were installed there were problems.The Bravos series 300 washer: Quiet? Never. The thing sounds like a huge motor whirring around my laundry room. Several times, a coin got stuck in the motor and created a clanking sound that had to be fixed. Ive never had a washer that allowed coins to enter the motor. I cant close the lid on the washer until the whole unit is dry because of the mold problem. I dont feel the washer really gets clothes clean. When we purchased the unit, the Lowes salesman stressed that we could fit a large bedspread into the oversized tub and get it clean. This didnt turn out to be true. The clothes tangle terribly and the unit is off-balance with any kind of a larger load. Ive been forced to purchase the extended warranty because of the complete & total lack of confidence I have in this awful washer (same goes with the dryer).The Bravos series 400 Dryer: This unit never dries. All the setting that should be used with the sensor never work which causes a huge problem. I start out on a particular setting with a stated time limit say, for instance 45 minutes. 45 minutes later, I look at the dryer and theres 1 hr of time still left to go! The dryer just runs on and on. Ive taken to using only the timed dry and I start out at 1 hr, then check it every 10 minutes or so. This is very hard on the fabrics and has caused the useful life of my clothes to be greatly diminished. Also, the stupid thing will start to beep and I cant figure out why. Using this dryer has increased the electricity costs to us.I cant stress enough to STAY away from these products. I purchased Maytag because of their prior good reputation. That reputation is in tatters now. They should recall this product and replace it with products that actually do what they advertise!

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer about 2 years ago; dissatisfied with the products. Washer continues to smell. I clean it all the time with the Affresh tablets. Usually, I have to use 2 bags just to get it not to smell for at least 2 weeks. Now, the glass front dryer is rusting out around the window.

I purchased this Maytag Bravos machine because I was told it can wash large loads and is one of the best washers out there... Both are so far from the truth, this is the worst machine I have ever owned. The water level is almost none. And my clothes come out dirty and I have to wash several times to even get them semi cleaned. I am not rich and trying to save enough. To buy this machine was not easy and I am now with no options. I called Lowes after a couple day after I got the machine and told them it is not working. They sent me another machine yet it still does not clean my clothes. I wanted to return it and get a better machine but they refuse to allow me to do so because now it is 2 months old and past the 30 day return. I purchased an extended warranty which is useless cause. The machine is junk even when working as it should... I will never buy from Maytag again because they refuse to back their crappy product and refund my money. I would tell anyone looking for a washer to not go with Maytag. They are terrible machines and a bad design... I even contacted Maytag and was pretty much told too bad and just rewash my clothes as many times I need but they will not do anything to resolve this issue. TOO bad is what I was told...

I bought the Maytag Bravos X, last year. The silver color and glass top fooled me into thinking this was better quality than it is. This washer is very easy to go out of balance. I had to open the top (easy) and install/glue a little styrofoam, to limit the amount the tub could travel. Second unresolvable problem is how to wash anything larger than ONE outfit. If you watch the videos, and read the information, this washer is supposed to flip your clothes so whats on top makes it to the bottom for agitation. Ha! Absolutely BS. Unless you wash a very small load single level. The clothes in a TYPICAL size load will sit exactly as you loaded it.the only attention the top layer of clothes is only sprayed with water, no agitation. Hope you dont have kids. Doesnt XL mean extra large? It sure does, you can wash one pair of extra large pants, and or one extra large shirt.

No matter what we we do we still have soap residue left on clothes, even when we do the 2nd rinse cycle (what a waste of water). We use the correct amount of HE detergent and we use the detergent dispenser but it doesnt helps. The machine just doesnt use enough water. We have removed items that still have DRY SPOTS on them when the cycle is done. Areas that have never gotten wet after a 45 minute cycle. Never once had this happen with an agitator machine. Bravo XL Washer & Dryer - I have owned this set for just over 90 days and have called Maytag several times just to get insulted. The customer service representative is not helpful at all, and tells me that I am not using HE detergent or that I am using too much HE detergent. Furthermore, they tell me that if a service technician comes to my home and nothing is wrong that I will get charged. So much for the extended warranty and what is wrote on the Maytag site. I explain each time that I am using name brand HE detergent and the recommended amount. The soap dispenser in the machine provides a fill line that I fill to. I have even tried using less detergent as recommended by the appliance store that I purchased the machine from, and still the washer does not clean my laundry and leaves residue on everything. I have even tried using the extra rinse, and extra heavy soil setting which does not make a difference at all.The other concern is that the clean washer feature light flashes weekly. I have purchased the cleaning tabs recommended to clean the machine, and run this clean cycle every time the light comes on. The dryer does not work all that well either and shuts off before the laundry is dry. Sometimes the dryer will show an error of airflow restriction or low airflow. This is confusing because the dryer vent and hose are clean, and the lint filter is also clean. This is so disappointing because I thought Maytag had great products. However, as I read other reviews about these machines and the customer service representatives it seems that there is a systemic problem with the machines and the customer service representatives that needs to be addressed by the leadership at Maytag.

I wrote earlier about my dishwasher needing to have an electronic board replaced again. So I called the helpful (I say that with sarcasm in my voice) 800 number. My dealer asked me to call for help with paying for the new part. After an hour and a half of being cut off and put on hold, I finally got through to a person that could take my request. The gentleman explained to me about why they would not stand behind their product which was only 3 1/2 years old, and a replacement part that lasted only 11 months. He expanded on his thought about how it was too old to fix and the part was more than 90 days old. I am out of my $1,100.00 with no help in sight. Totally upset with this company and how they will not stand behind a poorly made product!!!!

I have been the latest victim in purchasing a Maytag Refrigerator. Something needs to be done about the defective products they are putting on the market. I received 9/7/13 (yesterday) a new Model FW: 555 Complaints and Reviews about Maytag Refrigerators bottom freezer refrigerator. After being plugged in for 3 hrs, the temp was 60 degrees.. After 8 hrs same and 24 hrs same. I lost everything because of the defect. I notified the store 3 hrs after purchasing it and because I had it delivered on a Saturday I have to wait till Monday to get this resolved. I want everyone to read before buying a Maytag product.

I bought this wash (XL HD) 1 1/2 years ago. From the time the people installed it it never worked correctly. I have never wanted to beat up an appliance before, but this washer makes me so mad that I am ready to just throw it out and buy a new one even though I paid 600.00 for it and it was more than I would ever pay for a washer. I bought this so I could wash my comforters mainly. Well I cannot wash comforters unless I wash them 5 times or at least try to wash them 5 times or more. They get unbalanced and then the machine shuts off. After doing everything from changing the hoses like somebody else suggested, it still didnt work. Along my troubles with trying to rinse and drain I did find something new that I didnt know I could do for all these months is when you put your machine on rinse, spin, dry and the extra rinse light pops on, click it and turn it off, then it reduces the spin time to 15 minutes instead of 26. Also now I have to just let my hose drain on the floor of my outside wash room because if I hook it up through the wall to drain outside it just stops with the LF code. So I have 2 inches of water on my washroom floor and it really sucks. This is the only way I can get the machine to work without turning itself off. Very disappointed with this machine that appears to be so large (looks can be deceiving). It cannot wash hardly anything and this machine should be taken off the market. It is garbage. I really wish this did work because I have spent too much time trying to rewash, respin, get all the water out of the clothes so I could dry them. This should be banned and not sold by any store.

I will NEVER get another Maytag product ever again! My not even 1 year old washer broke and I have been waiting almost 2 1/2 months for a part to be replaced. My partner and I are nurses working on the front lines during this COVID pandemic and I can’t even wash my scrubs at my own house but instead I have to go to a damn washateria. The “supervisor” told me 2 weeks ago that if the part is not in by today, 1/27/21, that a brand new washer will be sent to me. Well I call today and the people I spoke to denied any recollection of this information. The “supervisor” stated that she is “documenting all of the information” so when I called back I would not have a problem. Once again I have been lied to and wasting my breath and time. The customer service has been TERRIBLE and I cannot believe that this was once a “reliable” brand! Clearly this brand is unreliable and the personnel is also unreliable. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY A MAYTAG! Save your money and buy a different brand!

I purchased a new gas range in Nov 2013, but didnt use it until April because I was remodeling a house I had just bought. When I used it to cook Easter dinner, my meal was cold; the oven heats, then shuts off. Maytag has sent service techs 3 times. They have replaced the control board and the DSI module and ordered another part, for which we have been waiting over 3 weeks. Now they tell me it will be here next week. Maytag obviously cannot fix the NEW range, but they refuse to replace it. They deem it to be repairable though they cannot repair it. Customer service claims to be sympathetic, but will do nothing except schedule another service call and offer to extend my service warranty. What good is a service warranty if they cant repair the appliance? If youre smart, youll steer clear of Maytag and Whirlpool appliances. They are total CRAP.

This Maytag refrigerator is very nice.. Sleek black with double doors and ice two ways and filtered water on the door which is very convenient. The filters are expensive but they last up to six months so that part isn’t too bad.

Maytag Bravos XL - I purchased my maytag washer & gas dryer on 5/12/12. In Dec 2012 the heating element went out. I had to wait a week for a repairman to come out on Dec. 20 to fix it. Now for the second time on Dec. 30th, 2014 the heating element has gone out. I called for a repairman to come out. I have to wait until Jan. 12th 2015 for service. I have 8 people in my home including 3 grandchildren. This length of waiting is ridiculous and very inconvenient.

Can not wash 4 pairs of pants or 2 sheets because they get out of balance when the spin cycle begins. I had to take the clothes out and move them around to keep the balance. Very unhappy. Would not recommend this washer.

Oven door glass shatters after 6 years of having this oven and the company refuses to cover it. According to them it is not a safety concern. It is actually designed to shatter this way. Wow, thats comforting. Should be 0 stars not 1 star.

We just had the same problem as most of you have posted. The control panel malfunction. Model MDB7749SBM. Our issue started after only 18 months when the dishwasher would start on its own and/or cancel a wash on its own. I think this is a major issue if a home appliance can start on its own from the off position and run through multiple cycles. I think this could be dangerous if you are out of town. Our cost to replace the panel was more than 1/2 of the original purchase price. This is a major defect and should be handled by Maytag if they are a company with any integrity.

Have been very disappointed. The burners keep going out. The repairman said a bug could crawl on the element and break it. Then the temperature on burner on it works from med to high and any lower no heat. The dual burner is now backwards. The oven handle keeps falling off. Worst range I ever had and I thought it was a step up to Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Bravo Washer in October of 2011, I had a repair man come to check it since the spin cycle sounds like a jet is revving its engines in the laundry room. He told me that the repair cost is $493.50 to replace the transmission. The machine also has problems with the circuit board. The lid lock goes on and off and on and off so you cannot run the machine. Speaking to Maytag they just kept saying your warranty is over and we dont offer any assistance on the repairs. The machine cost $530.00 in 2011 and they think its reasonable to have repairs more than the cost of a new washer. They said they had no complaints on the model. My repairman advised not to buy Bravo, Cabrio or Calypso models since they all have the same problem with the transmission and electronics. I think they should at least pay for the parts, the transmission is $300. And we didnt even price the electronic part of repair.

Bought Maytag Neptune Washer/Dryer set and had trouble with the washer from the beginning. It seemed gentle, but ATE my finer clothing, even on the gentle cycle. But the biggest issue was with the Dryer. I had it a little over 6 months & when I turned it on it made a noise, like an earthquake or the rapture was upon us. Got nowhere with the rep & warranty info, & based on the other reviews on here & the fact I really needed my dryer I called a serviceman from my area & thought Id just bite the bullet since its a set and hopefully this was just a fluke. After two house calls, I ended up paying over $500 for a new drum, & was furious. Ive had the cheapest, crappiest washer/dryers from when I was a poor college student that held up YEARS better than this!!! Didnt have the money or means to buy and transport a new or new(er) set & get rid of this JUNK in my laundry room, so, I just hoped I could buy some time. Hmmmph. You know, its almost as if Maytag actually WORKED to make these foul up! And they care NOTHING about customer service or fixing THEIR MESS either. My washer eats many of my items, but the WORST is the Dryer. It comes on when it feels like it, and when it doesnt - well, it will take a break and determine on its own accord whenever siesta time is over --- could be a day, but has been up to three or four days before it suddenly starts working again. This was the worst purchase Ive made in a while. Guess when the next time I purchase anything labelled Maytag will be. Yep the rapture will be sooner.

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.

Purchased washer less than 2 years ago. Loud noise like a jet engine or helicopter in spin cycle. Did not purchase the extended warranty. Called Whirlpool/ Maytag customer service. Was told I could have one of their repair people come out. I would have to pay $300 which would give me the repair and extended 1 yr warranty, or I could get $300 off toward a purchase of a new washer. Are you kidding me? This washer wasnt even 2 yr old and making this horrid noise in the spin cycle. I had to have a independent repairman for Maytag washers come out to tell me it wash the bearing and would cost 3 to 4 hundred dollars to fix it. I said no thanks and after his $90 service call am stuck listening to this piece of junk make noise till it completely breaks. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again or recommend one. Whirlpool you sell nothing but junk.

My Maytag MDB7609AWW2 dishwasher was purchased on 1/2010. Last month, the control board only worked on the right side of the panel and the dishwasher would not run. I called Maytag to see if this was a typical issue with the washer, which they denied. I ordered and replaced the control panel but this did not help. After reading all these posts, I do not think Maytag is being honest with their customers. Also, it looks like even if I am able to fix this issue, it is likely to repeat. I think I will cut my losses now and buy a different brand of dishwasher. I will never buy a Maytag again.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer 3 months ago. The Bravo XL is simply a piece of crap. No agitation and clothes come out as dirty as they went in. It also leaves soap stains on all the clothes by since it doesnt agitate enough. Nothing is wrong with the unit, just a horrible engineering piece of crap. Ive been in manufacturing for 30 years and cant even imagine how a company like this can design, test and still sell such a piece of crap. You put a shirt on the top of the load when starting and its still there at the end of all the cycles. Just absolutely horrible. Do NOT purchase any washer without the old time center agitator post. Horrible....

I purchased my Maytag Centennial 1 and 6 mos ago and it is already broken. The washer wont wash the clothes, just sit in the water and wont spin. I called Maytag, they offered me a warranty for another year for $371. The washer was only $550.00. When I tried to get set up with a repair service, the only company they used which was going to charge $105 just to look at it, would only take cash. When I called back to discuss with Maytag, they were no help at all. I was told they wouldnt even do the warranty since I scheduled a service even though I canceled it. I will never buy Maytag again.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set one year ago, and have asked myself why ever since. The oversized laundry tub is what attracted me to the model, but it sure doesnt deliver for the money it cost. On normal settings, it doesnt use enough water for all the clothes to even get wet. After the load was complete, there were areas of my clothes bone dry, and obviously still dirty. I soon learned that the only way the washer uses enough water to get all the clothes wet and clean, was to set the machine on the bulky setting. This is the only setting I use now, but all of my clothes winds up twisted together, sometimes in one big ball. As for efficiency, that statement folks is a joke! Because I use the bulky setting, it uses much more water than a traditional washer ever did, and when the load is off balanced, it will go through another rinse cycle to try to even it out. This machine uses far more water and electricity than my old school set! I suppose if you dont get your clothes dirty, you may not need to use the bulky setting, but thats the only way I can wash my laundry with this machine. The old style set I had before this was Maytag also, and lasted about 20 years. I was more than happy to purchase Maytag again, but this set has been nothing but a disappointment. I dont plan to buy another energy efficient machine again, nor would I recommend this product to anyone!

I have a Maytag refrigerator that is about 6 years old. I like the fridge, but the icemaker no longer works and water constantly drips from the door. They will not fix it, even though we have an extended warranty that they have provided. I have waited for months and I am told an icemaker is not important and the fridge is still working, so why am I complaining? When you pay for a fridge with an icemaker and water dispenser, I believe it is part of the refrigerator I paid for and it should be fixed, but Maytag doesnt seem to think so.

I bought this washer and dryer (Bravos MCT MA655LDY) after receiving several notices from Hydro that I was consuming more electricity than my neighbours! It was delivered March 31, 2018. On July 5th 2018 I tried to use the washer. It lasted exactly 3 months! I called The Brick who sent a technician out, he said the control had gone. Not sure what that is, but 3 months? This is absurd. I would like them to replace this washer.

On 7/8/11, the non-freezer part of the refrigerator failed to cool to needed temperature. This fridge is model MI TXEMMWWOO, with serial no EY4705715, purchased on 7/13/10 at Home Depot.We contacted Maytag and were told to wait until Monday. On Monday, we were told that a serviceman would be out on Thursday, the 14th. On Wednesday, the 13th, the serviceman called to inform us that he would come the next day and that he would have to collect for the call. Since the fridge was still under warranty, we demurred.We went to Home Depot for advice. They called Maytag, and after an hour of getting the runaround, we were told that the serviceman would come on the 19th and that the call would be covered by the warranty.On the 18th, the serviceman called with the same message as before: he would have to collect the charges for the service call. Another trip to Home Depot led to the advice to activate the extended warranty at this point.Under the extended warranty, the serviceman came on the 21st, had to order a new part, and finally installed the new part on the 29th, three weeks after the misery began, and after spoiled foods, many bags of ice, and great inconvenience.We have other Maytag appliances, but this purchase has been a cruel lesson in Maytags lack of product quality, deceptive warranty practice, and indifference to consumer satisfaction.

We have had this machine for too long. It starts banging and making tremendous amounts of noise. We have balanced it and tried loading it in different ways but when it starts to spin it apparently tries to even the load somehow that results in very loud noises and movement of the washer in the laundry room. Terrible machine. If we could afford it we would trash this one in a heartbeat and buy a different brand.

Maytag Bravos MCT washer not good - Owned this since June 2017. This thing has never worked properly. Every time after a cycle is complete we have to wring the soaked clothes by hand. Even after doing this the drying time ends up being double what it should be because the clothes are so wet. Not only time wasted on hand wringing clothes but also wasted energy in drying them afterwards. Also this thing is supposed to auto-detect how much water it should use but half of the time it uses too little water and doesn’t actually wash all of the clothes. Some clothes stay totally dry when this happens.

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

We were very impressed with this dishwasher when we bought it about 2 years ago. It looked very nice, it was the quietest running dishwasher weve seen, dishes came out sparkling. However, the nightmare quickly began. It started with having to cancel then resume. It ran for 8 hours non-stop (still cycling the next morning). We unplugged it and we were able to use it normally for a few times. Weve had so much aggravation with this machine weve decided to (A) Never to buy another digital dishwasher, (B) Join the class action suit proposed against Maytag. We have tried all the reset solutions offered and Weve been hand washing dishes (again) for days.

Maytag Bravo Washer and Dryer XL Series - This the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned by Maytag. I wish I could give them away. The washer does not clean my clothes and the dryer does not dry my clothes. They are absolutely terrible. Do not buy them, you will be sorry.

Failure to drain after 3 years. Was disappointing so repairman fixed problem, a fuse, in 3 minutes but charged $300! Since then I make my own repairs and have had no problems that I can complain about. Both Maytag Neptune drier and washer have worked well. Buzzer just failed.

My husband and I bought a Maytag dishwasher, Stove and Fridge. We were very reluctant because at our prior home we had Maytag appliances and they kept going out. Against our better judgement when we moved into our new home we decided to go with Maytag once again. First the dishwasher front panel stopped working. We had it replaced and it cost over 250.00 with replacement part and labor. Not a week later went by when our Fridge went out, that cost us another 300.00 plus to fix. Keep in mind we had only had these appliances for about 14 months. Less than a year of replacing the dishwasher panel it has gone out again. This is very frustrating and expensive. I dont usually write comments, but felt the public needed to know that Maytag has poorly made appliances. I recommend you spend the extra couple of hundred bucks and buy the better brands and warranties. Thank you.

Maytag range model mer8875ws - Glass top broke on brand new oven over most used burner then glass spider lined out from there. Wife called Maytag and they told her that it broke from the impact of something dropping on it. I guess the man was psychic because he had no picture of SO CALLED IMPACT SITE. Now they wont replace or fix range, ** Maytag. Paid 699 for range they want to charge me 900 to fix. MMOOORROOONNSS! Like ** thats how big business treats everyone now. We have a Maytag washer. It is the noisiest washer I have ever seen! It is in the garage as you could not have this washer in a house. The deep water wash is not deep enough. It bangs and knocks VERY loud! There have been times when all of the clothes are not even wet.

In March 2014 I purchased all my kitchen appliances from Home Depot. Everything was Whirlpool except the dishwasher, a Maytag. The floor in my kitchen is wood, and I noticed that the finish was coming up in the area around the dishwasher. I called an accredited service company and the technician said the appliance was not level and proceeded to do that. Next, tech #2 - dishwasher not level, fixed it - different company. Tech #3 - dishwasher not level, fixed it, said perhaps I did not load the appliance properly and water splashed out! Dishwasher continued to leak, floor continued to warp. Came back as #4 and decided it was the control in door. Ordered new one, installed it - dishwasher leaked. Called Maytag at that point. They refuse to accept that it is defective merchandise, will not replace it on my word. They need a tech to certify that it is unfixable. Tune in tomorrow. This will be #5. We bought Maytag dishwasher and Fridge and Whirlpool stove, the dishwasher, front panel came apart, the seal leak, the motor make a serious grinding noise, wheel on the interior racks were broken off easily. All of these parts will not be changed under the extended warranty by King & State, Whirlpool do not want to respond to our request for follow up. Neither is Leons Store where we bought these appliances. Only after 4 years of normal use.... Think about it! Kitchen Aid, Amana, Maytag, Whirlpool, latest Kenmore same products. BBB is not helping resolving these issues, their method is wait and see. Stay away from those companies. As Info: if you need to rinse by hand the dishes before setting them in the dishwasher...wash them much faster and better done.

Maytag Dryer is a complete piece of junk. First repair at 13 months, second repair at 15 months. I would throw it away but like a fool I bought the washer. Fingers crossed. Stay away from Maytag, total junk.

I have a 6-month-old top load Bravo Washer. It has destroyed two bottom fitted king size sheets and 2 shirts that now have holes. It apparently slices the sheets during agitation. I have a service policy and called the service agency. The technician said there was nothing wrong with the machine, yet it literally ate 2 more items. Help! I need a solution to this problem.

My Neptune dryer purchased in November 2005 had the drum crack at about three years old. I complained so much that they finally agreed to send a replacement drum for free. Now, two years later, the drum has cracked again and tore through the housing on the front of the dryer. The repairman said it would be too expensive to repair. Consumers, beware.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top load washing machine from Sears in 2011. In January 2015, the machine stops at the spin cycle and wont continue the full process. The lid light comes on and blinks red. The machine made a loud grinding noise. A technician from Sears has been to my home 4 times in a month but unable to fix the problem. I have to take my clothes to the outside laundry. I have a protection warranty but it ends in a week. Im frustrated. Maytag Bravos sucks.

I have just joined the open and close the door Maytag Club. Purchased four Maytag products on Black Friday 2017 as I always trusted Maytag. Only disappointed to have my microwave (MMV4205D-4) come down with the virus (open & close door) that has plagued so many unsuspected owners. Almost made its 1st year anniversary. Now I see this has been going on for years and all they do is add different model numbers at the end. Luckily Im in the 1 year warranty and repairman coming next week. Now I question if I should take the extended warranty as I see this is going to happen again down the road. And will the extended warranty cover it? Guess the Maytag repairman isnt sitting and waiting for repair call anymore. He is being kept busy!

I had noticed the lights, such as for sanitizing cycle, hot water cycle, etc, would go out intermittently, but since the washer still ran, I was down with that. Loaded it up last Sunday, pressed the button to start and El Zippo. Nothing works. So here we go again with another crap product from Maytag. Yes, I have had this dishwasher, which was a pricier model but closeout priced, at Lowes in 2008, BUT I live alone, so how many dishes do I wash. At the same time this is the third time had a repairman out (with no help from Maytag other than trying to sell me an extended warranty for nearly $400) and these machines ought to last a lot longer than this. The part online is bad enough, $150, cant wait for the repairman to call me back tomorrow and see how much they are going to hose me for.

Maytag Centennial commercial technology washer - Bought what I thought would be a great washer given the Maytag brand about 3 years ago. Started out ok But has gotten progressively louder and noisier. We cant even hear the television on the next floor of the house when the washer is running ridiculous. Now it wont work at all. Outside of warranty and a real pain. Not sure what to do but if I have to buy a new one its not going to be Ay

This machine doesnt wash your clothes. It leaves them dry & the agitator sucks too. I am so annoyed. I just bought them & had them delivered 7/27/15. It has only been a few days & NOT satisfied. Overpriced over $800 for it & its crap! Same with the Bravo dryer, it takes forever to dry. I wish I still had my old washer & dryer (had them for 7 years, NO problems). Very unsatisfied. DONT buy these, they are total CRAP!

I have owned my Maytag washer for approximately five years. Ive always used the recommended detergent and religiously used the tabs to clean the machine when it was required. I have never abused the machine by overloading it, using too much detergent, etc. It is now coming up with an LF code. There is no one in this area who does repairs and if I do find someone Im sure theyll want some exorbitant amount to come all the way out to the boonies to give an estimate and the repairs Im sure will be hefty. I take very good care of all my appliances and expected this machine to last much longer.

I purchased this relatively expensive range and could not have imagined how dissatisfied I would be. The Aqualift cleaning technology does not work. There is no way to clean the oven door. They stress not to use oven cleaner, but as the Aqualift system does nothing to clean the oven door, there is no choice but to use oven cleaner, which they say will ruin the oven coating. Also, the grates are very heavy and it is impractical to clean the range top. I wish I had researched further; this product is a MAJOR disappointment.

We have been married 50 yrs. We have never had a Maytag, we bought one 4 days ago, Dec.13, 2017. This is the worst wash machine (Maytag Bravos XL MCT) we have ever had, the clothes come out wet with white soap marks on the dark clothes. Lowes said we can exchange it for another washer, it will not be a Maytag.

This is not a complaint but a love-letter. I know that todays Maytag Neptune is not the Maytag of old. But Im here to report that Im still using a Maytag washer that was built in 1982! The only thing wrong with my machine is that it occasionally goes off-balance when I wash heavy towels or blankets. Note: We inherited this machine with the purchase of a home in 1991. We were a family of 6, so this machine has done many heavy loads! Im looking forward to celebrating my Maytags 30th birthday, come Jan. 1, 2012. And I would love advice on how to replace it, eventually, with another machine that has just the basics - no bells and whistles, computerized control panels, etc.

Same complaint as most of the others: bought a refrigerator in 2013 and about one month after the 1 year warranty had run out the freezer started leaking water all over the floor and build up is on the bottom of the freezer, making it difficult to pull out the metal drawer. :( We do not have the water even hooked up to the automatic icemaker so have no clue where the water is coming from. Clothes washer has never worked properly from day one, didnt fill up with enough water. Had the repair man here while the warranty was still in effect and he verified that the washer DID not fill with enough water therefore leaving soap and grime on our clothes. :( He had to order an entire new brain and replaced it. Worked for a couple of months better than it ever DID and now back to soapy, grimy, dirty clothes again. Why isnt there a recall on the part that keeps backing up on these bottom freezer Maytag refrigerators? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit and get these things recalled and replaced. Spent a lot of money on this brand new refrigerator and was so jazzed to get a brand new one for the first time in my life. :( Well that was surly short-lived. Shame on you Maytag, your company has really gone downhill. I would love it if an attorney could start a class action lawsuit with Maytag on their bottom freezers.

Well I like all the other people have the very same problem. Ruined floor from sheet of ice that forms on the bottom tray daily. I was told I need a new main board which I understand is about $500.00. I am 55 years old and this was my first brand new fridge. I am so so upset. I grew up with the whole Maytag repairman commercials where he was so lonely cause he never had any repairs to do. All my life I grew up with these commercials. I thought I was buying the best. What a disappointment. It has been in my living room for 2 years. I keep thinking something wonderful is going to happen. Now I have to pay someone to haul it off. Great.

Bravo XL washer and dryer - I had the washer approx 2 months before it leaked water all over the laundry room. The company replaced the washer after two weeks. Now the dryer has gone out after two years. If it cost me the amount stated by other consumers I wont be fixing it.

My fridge and freezer got warm and compressor is not running. It is not even 8 years old. I replaced start relay and start capacitor. It cost me $75, from Maytag store. I worked two days the bam! It’s broke again. It’s a Maytag junk, now what? I have two kids in college. It will cost me $100 for a service call. Our food is ruined.

Maytag washer model MVWC416FW1. This is the worst washer ever. I only had this washer for 1 year and 2 months. Oil leaks from the bottom all over my floor. The washer is soooooooo loud you can probably hear it down the street when it is on spin cycle and the start button works when it wants. I called Maytag and they told me if a service man come it may not be covered and I will have to pay out of pocket. The 10 year warranty listed on top of the washer and dryer only covers the parts not the labor. Very disappointed. Its a good thing I purchased an extended warranty but I dont know what will they do. 1 year and may be buying another washer. It DEFINITELY wont be a Maytag. If I could rate this a 0 I would.

I have a Maytag Clothes Washer. Lid Closed Light is flashing and agitator will not spin. Troubleshooting shows when the washer does not detect the lid is closed the agitator will not spin. I went to Maytag Canada website and chose Live Agent. There is no Live Agent! You get a Virtual Assistant that does not work; bad software. Virtual Agent shows connected. I type in the details of my issue and the Virtual Agent responds with No Input Detected. I type in the details again and the Virtual Assistant responds with Connection Closed, try refreshing. Over and over again. Tried calling the Maytag Canada 1-800 number. I have now been in the queue for more than 40 minutes. Just stupid cycling for a recording for common problems dealing with products that are not a washing machine (about a 9 minute cycle). NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Avoid Maytag, Whirlpool and Kitchen-Aid products. Buy from another manufacturer that has live people working at the company.

I purchased my Maytag side by side Model No. MSB27C2XAM00 in August of 2013. Within a 2 Weeks the lettering was gone on the control panel for the ice and water dispenser. I contacted Maytag and they replaced it, but the next one did the same thing, and the next one! They replaced it three times and they have all done the same thing. Now they are refusing to do anything more because they say I must be using cleaner or something on the panel because I am the only one having an issue with this! I assure you I have not used any cleaner and there are only three people in my household so it doesnt even experience excessive usage! I know this problem isnt as extreme as some, but when you pay this much money for an appliance you would like to think it should last longer than this!

Dishwasher model: MDBH949AWW3. Gradually over a months time lost its control functions and its status display. Ten days ago the last button to fail was the start button and the dishwasher stopped working. Maytag confirmed over the phone that there was no recall on this model. The part costs $190 and is out of stock till end of October 2013. I opened the dishwasher and took a closer look at the keypad. It has the cheapest touch buttons I ever seen. Maytag had provided at purchase time a user guide and a large sheet with a sketchy incomplete drawing (W10142800C) for service use only. I made my own schematics and I built my own keypad for less than $50. You may notice that the info I have on my attached schematics is missing from Maytag/Whirlpool incomplete drawing. My keypad is working fine and will outlast all the remaining parts in that dishwasher. I wish there is an angry lawyer out there with a bad dishwasher like mine that will use this info to sue Maytag. Please give the schematics to any user having troubles with this lousy touch pad.

Purchased a pair washer/dryer Maytag Bravo XL module from Home Depot, Brentwood, CA #1076 branch. The first day I received my machines, the dryer had a defect. I called them within 24 hours to report the issue and requesting a return. Home Depot wont take it back; they said I have to go though the factory warranty to fix any problems. Its like buying a car, once you drive it off the lot its yours they said. 3 weeks after the washer started making noise. Home Depot kept delaying my claim for more than six month so I couldnt dispute the charges with the credit card company and avoid the California lemon law. I consider this a loss of money and time. Worst appliance purchase experience ever.

This one of the worst purchases I have ever made! Paid over $850 in March, 2015 for the Maytag Bravos XL. At first, we experienced leaking and now there is a terrible banging and clanging noise! Had an appliance repairman come to see what was going on. Apparently it needs a hub replacement and bearing replacement. Was told by two companies that it is not cost effective to fix it due to the amount of parts and labor.Aside from this major issue, I never felt that the clothes came out clean. Many times, the clothes would come out with detergent all stuck to the clothes and had to be rewashed. The softener and bleach dispensers are not removable and it is nearly impossible to get all the way into the cup in order to clean the mildew that builds up. The fabric softener dispenser always had gummed up chunks.Called Maytag several times to no avail. Was basically told - too bad its out of warranty. I have never heard of a washer giving out after 3 years! The worst part is that I have searched many places on the Internet and apparently the bearing problem seems to be a common issue with this washer. I purposely bought an American made product and am extremely disappointed in not only this product, but the company as a whole. The customer service department is awful. I will NEVER purchase Maytag or Whirlpool ever again. They lost my business for putting a terrible product on the market and refusing to acknowledge flaws. Interesting that this model is now discontinued, but they refuse to acknowledge the problems. Stay away from Maytag and/or Whirlpool!

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

Bought new glass top Maytag electric range. Only used oven 7 or 8 times when I was unable to close the door. Had to wait 12 days for Maytag repairman. Has to order new parts. Still without use of oven. Says its a known problem the hinges holding the door arent strong enough. Last stove 24 years old. Never had a problem.

Bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot about 2 years ago. Like everyone else we are having leaking problems from the freezer drawers. I wonder if anyone has had it repaired and whether it was repaired

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher model number mdb7749sbm in April 2013. March of 2015 the controls stopped working completely. We looked online and instantly found it was a problem among many others, and said it was a result of corroded ribbon cable. We opened the panel and, sure enough, inside the ribbon cable the electrical wires were completely rusted through! We called Maytag, and, of course, despite the numerous complaints of the same problem, they would only fix it if we paid $250, or send us a replacement part for $350 to fix ourselves. Not going to spend that much on a dishwasher that already cost $600 and only lasted 22 months! We are attaching a picture that shows after we tried cleaning the rust (when Maytag refused to fix it) how much of the electrical wires disintegrated! We tried soldering a small wire to connect it again, but the ribbon was so thin it just melted right through.

My 14 month old Refrigerator made a popping noise and quit working. I called Maytag and I had to pay $299.00 for a Service Plan so the repairs would be covered under a warranty and A&E Factory Service came out to do the repair. The repairman told me the Circuit Board and Compressor were melted and he was surprised it didnt cause a fire. The repairman had to get authorization to order the parts for this repair because they were so expensive and he is not even sure if the repair will fix the refrigerator. It is going to take 2 weeks for the parts to come in which means I will be without a refrigerator for a total of 3 weeks and were not sure if this will fix the problem. I am being told by Assurance (the warranty company) that they have to replace the parts 3 times before they will replace the refrigerator. I asked them, Exactly how long do you expect me to go without a refrigerator before I get mine fixed or replaced? When I called customer service and spoke to Brittany she gave me her standard robotic answers. I asked to speak to a manager and she sent me to the never-ending hold zone. I called back and non manager was available but they took my name and number and assured me that someone would call me back. I am still waiting for that call.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model mdb4709aww1) from our local appliance store. A little over one year after purchase, the control panel (part w10254834) stopped working. Our appliance store replaced it. They charged us for the part but not for a service call. Its been two years since the new control panel was replaced and it just stopped working. Now, we have to pay $275.00 for the new part and service call. My previous dishwasher lasted twenty years and we never had a problem. I thought Maytag was a quality product. Sadly mistaken!!

I take pride in my cooking and love my kitchen. As you know this is where everyone gathers when you are entertaining. The Aqualift system does not work. I have run the process 3 to 4 times consecutively in row and the inside oven the oven is never clean. I wipe out the sides over and over. So disappointed. The only saving feature is that you can not see into the horrible look of the inside the oven when it is closed. Was this feature really tested before it went to market????
