We have had our washer and dryer almost 18 years and just recently spent less than $280 to get the washer going again. The dryer we haven’t had serviced yet. Great quality. So worth it. Our Maytag appliances are used frequently and keep giving out the best performance.

Bought the Maytag high efficiency washing machine with the auto-sensing and deep water wash feature. It took some getting use to because of all the washing choices and different noises it makes. Auto-sensing seems to use very little water which is strange but clothes seem to come out clean. Best bet for me is like the old school way and use deep water wash and light load which is shorter and thats most efficient power wise but will use more water which is fine by me. Also bought the matching dryer and thats a 5 star review. Excellent product.

Purchased a Maytag top loader. Hand wash clothes leaves a soap residue on clothes. Called Maytag they sent service out. Service tech said (off the record) the design of the machine does not produce enough water, but reported that machine works. Called Maytag again and they said they would need to send out a Master technician. So I set up another appointment (had to take more time off from work) with the Master technician. It was the same guy that came the week before! He didnt bother coming in to look at it! Called Maytag again and they said they would only be able to schedule a service call and if they come out and there is nothing wrong with machine, I would have to pay for the service call!!! I asked for a supervisor and explained why would I do that and he said they would send out another service technician from another service company and I wouldnt have to pay for it. He also offered me an extended warranty for a year for free. Thats great, but my machine is not fixed. This service technician said (off the record too) top loader machines are no good, do not buy, not enough water. He was there less than 5 minutes. Just got off phone with Maytag again and they can no longer do anything else, that the machine is working. I explained to the gentleman that yes the machine fills with a little bit of water and drains the water but it does NOT clean the items! Not going to let this happen to someone else. Plan on spreading the word to everyone to NOT BUY A MAYTAG TOP LOAD WASHING MACHINE. DOES NOT CLEAN YOUR CLOTHES. CONSTANT RESIDUE LEFT ON CLOTHES!

Maytag Bravos electric steam dryer purchased 2009 - I have had to replace the door hinges within one year of usage at my expense. The blower belt and pulley had come off twice, the last time about a half hour after the repairman (again at my expense) left. I put it back on myself and if it comes off again, I will use Locktite to glue it on the blower shaft. I figure I will be lucky if this crap lasts a couple more years anyway. No more Maytag for us! What does it take for the consumer to get some representation with regard to lemon laws here? I will take my wrath out on Home Depot here since I have no recourse. If enough people complain, maybe they will stop selling that junk. I also will disregard Consumer Reports in the future.

This review is pretty simple, if you have kids, do not buy this washer! I just went to the local wholesale guy after almost 8 months of using this POS, and spent $200 on a older agitator machine, after the first load my 7 year old close came clean of dirt! There is literally no water and the motion of the drum, it is almost impossible for this machine to clean clothes. I really am surprised that no one has started a class action. And to anyone saying the are hog farmers and work outside and get dirty? I would love to see it first hand. I am going to post on YouTube and show what this machine really does. Think about this before you buy, We all get hooked on how big it is, thinking you can do 4 loads at once, but trust me the low water thing is real! How do you clean clothes with no water! You will regret this purchase. And I am a Maytager for life! So disappointing.

Updated on 02/13/2021: Maytag stove purchased 15 years ago for about $500. Replaced mother board about 5 years ago which wasnt cheap, but otherwise, stove has performed with no problems and still looks and behaves like a new stove.Original review: Our 6-7 year old well cared for Maytag range oven recently stopped working. After a service call for diagnostics, it was determined the electronic module controlling the clock and all oven functions was dead. We were told by the Maytag service tech the module cost was 300$. That cost plus labor for less than an hour, plus the 60$ diagnostic visit came to almost 500$ which is close to cost of a new stove. The technician answered yes to my question, Do you replace a lot of these? He also said the cause may be power fluctuations making me think that surely there is a way to prevent this kind of failure. So, since the price seemed exorbitant, I wrote Maytag to inquire about causation/prevention, etc. I received a fairly prompt and polite reply with totally no explanation. I wrote another email with relatively the same results. I dont recommend buying an electronically controlled Maytag stove.

I bought this MMV4205BAB microwave thinking Maytag was a good brand and I wanted an over the range type. Problems began when it would stop in the middle of a cooking cycle. I called the repairman as it was under warranty. It was decided by the repairman that the weight of thing was too great for its thin frame, not letting the door close correctly. I got a new one and it, from day one, would make a shorting sound every time anything was cooked, on the stove top, under it, while it was on. It finally just shorted out. I have a Maytag washer and dryer that are also junk. So, needless to say, Maytag, 3 strikes and youre out. I will never have another Maytag product and I let others know what a great product it is.

Add me to the list of people who hate this washing machine. It does not use enough water to get clothes really clean, leaves spots, is hard on clothes and tears them up, and the spin cycle gets unbalanced too easily. It has taken me hours to wash one load with a blanket in it because of the spin problems. I have not been able to restart the spin cycle without starting the wash cycle from the beginning.

What was shown on tv and the way it looked in home depot were much different when I got it home. The refrig. Is big as a bo car on the outside but inside nothing.

In the last 6 years, Ive had a Whirlpool dishwasher that the motor seized due to poor design and overseas Asian motor builder (3 years of normal service). I cleaned the motor and it seems to barely work another couple of months but the design and manufacture process was garbage at best. Thinking I would go with the best produce MAYTAG (Old commercial about repairman having no calls), only to find out that it too was bought out by CRAPPY WHIRLPOOL and it too lasted a couple of years with cheap MADE IN CHINA electronics!!! Thats why we are the laughing stock in the world as far as products.I remember the days of where built in the USA was the best of the best, now with selling our great nation down the toilet so some Wall Street Commie can make his/her biz-zillion dollars and sell this nation down the toilet. Maybe they need to go down to Arlington and see who really has paid the price for their luxurious life-style!!!

I am angry that Maytag puts out a washer that hasnt been through quality control. The computer panel is a piece of **, and is not worth $1.00. Do not buy this washer. Shame on Maytag.

I bought a Maytag commercial washer - it was pricey but I loved the fact that it had dial knobs and only one feature was electronic as I find the electronics to be what fails the most. It holds a lot of clothes and gets them really clean. I absolutely love it!!

The Maytag dishwasher works really well. Not the quietest, but cleans thoroughly. I dont use heated drying though, to save energy. Stainless steel interior retains enough heat to mostly dry. However, unit died after only 7 years. Expected longer life.

We purchased our Maytag Elite dryer almost a year ago. Began to have problems with it several weeks ago. We first tried to correct the problem through the store where we purchased it. After three failed service repair visits the technician recommended we call Maytag directly. We did. Another service appointment was set up. The repair guy determined there was nothing wrong with our dryer (?? It wasnt drying on one of the heat settings!!) but said he would come back and replace the front sensors anyway. After he left I called Maytag again. Explained why I was frustrated. I was told that since the repair guy said nothing was wrong with the dryer there was nothing further they could do for me. Further attempts at repair had to be at my expense. I was incredulous to say the least. The dryer doesnt function properly on the normal heat setting, but because the repair guy cant find the cause I am therefore just out of luck?I will never, ever purchase another Maytag product. I am shocked that they will not stand behind a product that is still under warranty. After only 11 months of use I am stuck with a dryer that will only dry on high heat?! How can a single service visit by their repair guy (whom is on their payroll) be the final say? No second opinion? Is he infallible? Simply unbelievable.

We purchased a Maytag front-load washer and dryer in October 2010. In March 2011, all bearings and the drum needed replacement. In July 2011, the pump needed service and now in Sept 2011, we were told a new drum and bearings are needed again. The washer is still under warranty by Maytag. We contacted Maytag to ask for an exchange or a refund but we were told that it wasnt possible.

We bought a Maytag French Door 21 cu. ft. refrigerator in 2008. 2010, 3 repairs later, the ice machine went out, we went back to ice trays. Now the compressor died. The old ad of bored Maytag repairmen cause they never need repairs is bogus.

I have to say I am terribly disappointed in the quality of my Maytag Side by Side Fridge/freezer and my Maytag stove. Having sold Maytag commercial washers and dryers to coin laundries for over 20 years I expected better. Needless to say..... these are Whirlpool machines with Maytag name plates. Not the Maytag quality that was produced in Newton, Iowa. You can tell these are plastic machines made in Mexico. Of course you still pay for the Maytag name just not the quality. I have always tried to buy from US companies, but my next appliances will not be as Whirlpool is the only US company left with exception to very high end products.

I have had the set of Maytag Bravos for about 5 years now. In the 3rd year, the bearings went out. Just recently, leaking water pump. This washer easily eats clothing. I have to disassemble every so often just to get the missing socks etc. out. The only good thing, Maytag should be ashamed I know this, is that the machine is easy to fix. I imagine since they made it so cheaply. Really nothing to the machine.

Leaking water and puddles in front (each side) of refrigerator. Purchased from Home Depot on 12-20-2011... After doing a search on the internet I found that this is a common problem with the Maytag refrigerator. This model is a two door with ice maker on left door and freezer on bottom of unit. The microwave is 5 years 6 months since purchase model MMV4203DS. Fire started at rack clip left front rack, was cooking bacon. Called Maytag and according to them and manual on page 3 is only for 2-level cooking to avoid damage to microwave oven. DOES NOT SAY WILL CATCH FIRE OR THE RACK CAUSES SPARKS AND BACON SHOULD NOT BE COOKED IN A MAYTAG MICROWAVE. But according to Representatives of MAYTAG ** its my fault for not reading my manual. YES AND NOT HAVING THE SERIAL NUMBER THAT IS ON A PAPER TAG IN THE WHIP ZONE. The was gone from keeping it clean faded out. So I cannot be helped without the model and serial number.

Have had problems with the set since day one. Bought brand new from Home Depot. Got a great deal and now know why. Never cleaned the clothes properly, water marks on so many items, musty smelling regardless of how many times we cleaned it, horrible at removing stains, and finally not even 5 yo the motor stopped worked. The dryer has been repaired too and hasnt ever done a stellar job. Will never buy another Maytag product again!

I purchased a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in 2008. I had a repair person out today on both units. I was told that it will cost as much to fix the washer as it would be to purchase a new one. As far as the dryer was concerned, I was told to live with the timer issue rather than replace the expensive mother board. I was also told that the drum bearing issue with the washer is fairly common with the Maytag machines. It looks like the Maytag repairman isnt so lonely anymore! I paid a lot of money for these machines and they amount to a hill of garbage after three years. I may be buying a new washer, but you can bet your boots it wont be Maytag/Whirlpool!

I bought a Maytag washer November Thanksgiving of 2013. This washer started giving problems three months after; problems such as the cycle stop turn over properly, the light would say wash but its not washing. It would just stop but the light stuck on wash for long periods of time. Press the pause/start/cancel button, it would sometimes start again and stop and let out the water quickly. The clothes would be filled with water and not wash properly. This the funny part, serious funny part. I contacted Maytag on countless time. They had me on hold so long I had to hang up; a hold for hour I am talking about. One day I finally got through. They gave me a number to contact because where I am located there is no tech. I never got anyone but the machine when I called the number after countless times of trying. I decided to called back Brandsmart, because I just think its not right and fair to me to purchase a washer for so much, to had it shipped for more money. It didnt last me NO time at all and I cannot get any help. Well! Brandsmart told had to have paid export shipping, something I never was offered and since I took it out of the country, there is nothing they can do for me. I hunted for my receipt and to this day I I still have it. All was offered was warranty parts and labor for a month, thirty days. I said no because I would not think anything would go wrong in that short period of time. Nevertheless was not offered any export shipping warranty like what they are trying to ** me with. Here is my receipt number **. I grieve presently how I was just robbed of my money so openly when all I wanted was a replacement.

I purchased this machine (Maytag washing machine model MVWB700VQ0) from Home Depot in December of 2008. When purchasing it I decided to spend a bit more money on the machine, thinking I would get a quality product. For the last two years and 5 months it has only been me and my wife in the house as the kids are in college. Hence, the washer has not been used as much as some would use it. Within the last two and one half weeks the machine started making a horrible growling noise (probably the tub bearing going bad) and then started to leak yesterday. I noticed this morning that there was a large puddle of bleach water coming from under the machine. I called Maytag, which is just a fancy name for Whirlpool, and they basically told me too bad. It is inconceivable that a machine that used to last 20-plus years barely lasted three with only two adults using it. When I owned my previous home in another town the house came with Whirlpool appliances which literally fell apart within 5 years. I wanted to stay away from Whirlpool; however, I did not know that Maytag was owned by Whirlpool. I have received no assistance from Maytag. I am absolutely disgusted with the fact that an American iconic company such as Maytag is producing such garbage. I am going to be forced to figure out and fix what is wrong with the machine myself. However, I do believe this subject should be looked into further and possibly a class action law suit against Maytag for bad customer service since there seems to be quite a few people with issues surrounding this machine.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos XL washing machine in July 2016. In August 2016 it broke for the first time. I was just passed my 30 day moneyback guarantee, so Sears would not take the washer back. I have had more than 10 service calls on this washer in one year. I live in a rural area, so Maytag told me I was in a non-serviceable area and would have to wait WEEKS until they found a repair person willing to come to me. I only live 40 miles from Richmond VA, where I purchased the washing machine, so imagine my shock when they told me they couldnt fix it because of my location! Ive had countless people in and out of my house, and it still does not work right. You can only do very small loads, so the perk of having an XL machine is none. But even at that, it does not properly clean anything, tangles clothes, and will leave even the cleanest items looking terrible when they come out.Ive had a new circuit board, new transmission, new bearings and gears, new balancing rods, and still, Im left with a machine that does not wash and makes terrible grinding noises. I bought the washer and matching dryer as a set, and even the dryer had to get a new circuit board put in it in the 1st 60 days! After thousands of dollars in repairs on a $1000 washer, Maytag will not admit I have a defective machine and replace it! I just ran a load of laundry and have to call Maytag yet again, because the grinding noise gets louder with every run. Do not waste your money!I would give anything to have the 29 year old set I gave away when I bought this garbage back! I have literally been on the phone with Maytag in tears because it doesnt work properly, Ive had to throw away items that would not come clean because there is not a laundromat available in the town I live in. All I want is to be able to keep my family in clean clothing and linens, doesnt seem like too much to ask.

Maytag msd2650kes refrigerator - I replaced compressor switch three times then compressor went out after only almost four years. We bought all new Maytag when remodeling. Never again will we ever be that stupid again.

I bought the machine at Lowes. It was cheaper than the regular old agitator washers which should have been a clue. I like the old agitator washers that fill as you put in the clothes. Lowes installed it, turned it on and did not seem to care that although water should have been entering washer, none did. They rushed out. Ok, my water to the washer was bad so it was a simple plumbing fix. Less than 1 year the machine was full of water and would not agitate, spin, drain or anything. It sat full of water. My brother looked at it, fixed the hose that was no longer attached and it worked! Yeah for 1 year almost when again the belt came off, fixed again. Trying to find correct belt is starting to annoy me. I want to take it and dump it. It looks pretty but is nothing but a piece of crap. Maytag, shame on you!!!!

I have Control Panel issues with my Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher. I have saved myself hundreds of dollars! The problem occurs when oxidation or steam shorts out the ribbon on the control board. Simply shut off the power to your dishwasher. Open the 5 or 12 screws on the door. Open the black box where the Control Panel ribbon enters the Control Board, slide the white tension clasp away from ribbon and clean off ribbon using a paper towel. Re-insert ribbon and slide tensioner in place. Replace all parts and turn on power. Job done! I hope you have as much success as I did.

Purchased a Maytag refrigerator less than two years ago. Model M1txegmyb that was nothing special. Main purpose was to keep food cold/frozen. Now it makes noise and will not freeze anything. We called Maytag and they told us to take a hike or pay $469 for a new compressor on a fridge we spent $650 on. I would never buy their products again because the quality is so poor. Reading the other comments we have decided to throw the unit out at this point as we have pledged never to give Maytag another dollar.

Fire Hazard - poorly designed with vent at bottom of oven, Warped Drawer and Melted cabinet surface. Nowhere in the install instructions does it say not to mount above drawers. Whirlpool tried to blame dealer. Buyer beware.

Maytag Centennial washer - Bought this washer brand new and after the first 2 months started having issues. The washer took FOREVER to fill and to complete a basic load took literally an hour or more. Then within the next 7 months it stopped spinning out the final spin cycle. Spin light would flash as would lid lock but wouldn’t spin the water so I had to manually unplug the machine then plug in out cycle on drain and spin and that worked 50 percent of the time. Repairman came out and said could be a number of issues but he said honestly it would cost me a lot less to just go buy a new washer! This is INSANE! I grew up with the Maytag repairman commercials and thought Maytag was still top of the line but LEMME TELL YA, IT AINT! The Centennial is a total piece of crap so PLEASE don’t purchase this machine as I can promise you will NOT be satisfied! MAYTAG, STEP UP YOUR GAME BECAUSE YOU SUCK.

Bravos quiet series 300 - After reading reviews on this washer and dryer I have to add my thoughts. I bought this set a few years ago and initially was very pleased. However, I am now having the same issues as everyone else. The bearing on my washer is bad and needs replacing to the cost of almost a new washer. My dryer started acting up at the same time, my clothes would not dry at all and I discovered the inside of the door was wet and after pulling out to check the wall vent, the vent had water puddled up inside the wall. The tubing from the dryer to the wall had mildew growing in it. Which may explain why my towels and clothes come out of the dryer smelling like mildew! The repairman was here today and repaired the dryer, there was a large amount of lint at the bottom of the dryer once he opened it up, which I believe could be a fire hazard. The seal (or felt seal) around the drum was coming off and had to glued back onto the drum. The belt under the dryer had come undone causing the dryer to not dry, but would spin. It is a shame that Maytag has not resolved the issues that everyone seems to be having, even if it has been years since we all purchased their product. Maytag is supposed to be a reliable product name and you would think they would like to fix this issue to keep their name clean! My first washer and dryer (which were Maytag) lasted more than 12 years and cost a lot less than this set which I dont think is more than 5 years old! I hate to spend more money on a new machine, but I may have no choice. Very sad customer right now.

In January 2006, we bought a Neptune washer and dryer, model# MAH5500BWW, because we thought they were superior to any other at the time. In January 2012, the washer started making a very loud noise in the spin cycle. It just kept getting louder and a technician was called in check out the problem. We were told that the bearing was going out and he found a hole in the back of the tub. He said it was not cost effective to replace the bearing and the tub and suggested that we continue to use it until we could no longer tolerate the noise. We are very unhappy with the durability of this washer, with the amount of money we paid to be going out only after 6 years of service. We have been a Maytag customer for 15 years and will never buy another Maytag appliance. We are going to replace the washer and dryer to keep a matching set and it certainly will not be a Maytag.

We loved the Maytag dishwasher when we first bought it. After about 5 years it started leaking. Had rubber gasket replace, only held up 2 years. This was the only problem.

MDB7749SAW - 22 months @ an initial price of $599 and control panel lights become increasingly erratic and finally machine fails to respond to reboot (unplugging) after the third time. Repair man over the phone is familiar with the model and estimates parts at $160 + $115 (gave me a discount) + $125 service call for $400 to make the Maytag run again. Bought June 28, 2012. Installed September 2012. Becomes trash July 2014. Wish I could be more helpful... but if I had purchased the service insurance agreement, it would have run about $90/year... that would have been an extra $180 for a total of $712 including sales tax. So, I had a dishwasher for about 95 cents per day. Nobody rents them. I cant give it less than one star or I would. As a new buyer I was not informed.

The washer w10420491A is 2 1/2 years old and got the F51 code. The result is the hub bearing are shot along with a circuit board. I would stay away from any Maytag Bravos washers.

Bravos XL washer - I agree with others, if I won the lottery, this would be on the street in two minutes. It is a complete waste of money. Nothing comes clean. Supposed to be water efficient, well not when you have to wash everything multiple times and I have to do them in such small loads to have any hope of anything getting clean. Some clothes just never look clean. I have the same issue with all my dark things coming out with white residue and yet I use liquid detergent. I follow all the instructions and do the monthly Affresh tablet (cash grab) and still nothing is ever clean. I am SO disappointed in this machine. I thought Maytag and Whirlpool were good brands but not anymore. I also get a constant HC error and there is nothing wrong with my water lines. Just so disappointing, save your money and frustration and buy something else!!

I’ve had this new stove just over a week. Used 3 times (I just moved). I have cooked on staying already on the ceramic top. I’ve had a ceramic top stove for over 20 years with barely a mark in it. Terrible. I’ve left a message with the store with no reply.

Clothes do not turn over in the wash cycle. The clothes at the bottom get plenty of hard scrubbing from the agitator but the ones at the top barely get wet and never move down to the bottom. Insufficient amount of water enters the tub. The repairman says the washer is working as designed. Neither Maytag or Lowes will take back the washer. Worst appliance Ive ever owned. Bummer!

MF12269VEM7 - I purchased a refrigerator in September 2013 and my ice maker stopped working within 1 month of delivery. I had the motor and ice assembly changed 3 times and over 12 service visits within the first 6 months. I had the motor and ice assembly replaced in March 2014 and they offered to extend my warranty for a year. My ice maker has stopped working again. When calling Maytag customer service, I spoke to the Supervisor who will pay for the parts but require me to pay for the service calls. As well they only have a 6-month warranty extension on file. This fridge is obviously a lemon but they will not take any ownership because I did not purchase an extended warranty! The Supervisor state he does not report to anyone and he has the final say regarding my service. I will never buy a Maytag again. A year and a half of ongoing problems and no solution.

Bought a Maytag HE top load washing machine (Model MVWB765FW) in Jan of 2019. As I write this the repairman is banging away on the machine to replace the gearbox that had gone bad. This is the second time a repairman has been out to work on the machine. The first time was to replace a bad water pump, which was when the machine was about six months old. Maytag would have you believe that Power and Durability Come Standard. So too, apparently, are visits from the repairman. To its credit it does a good job cleaning clothes - when its working. If youre going to buy this machine, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty - youre going to need it.

I had a brand new Maytag refrigerator freezer delivered to my home. Not three days later, the freezer compartment is frosting over on the back wall, while the refrigerator fails to keep my drinks cooler cold like I demand. Ive heard of planned obsolescence, but this is ridiculous!

I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

TRASH! Bad, Destructive, Dangerous. I am in awe of the worthless, destructiveness of this machine. This washing machine does not add enough water to even cover clothing. It agitates, tangles & tears clothing. You end up with dirty filthy tangled clothing. And this is after waiting for it to make some kind of idiot decision as to whether or not to wash your clothes at all. I frequently go out and it’s made a decision not to start at all. There also is no lint filter, so subsequent loads of laundry are dirtier than the first. You can’t wash clothes without enough water to cover them. I read online that it adds water depending on the weight of the clothing, so wet the clothing first to make it think it’s a heavier load. When you do that it spins the clothes first before it begins to wash them. Your clothes still come out of the machine dirty. If you’re looking for revenge, make someone a gift of this washing machine. Otherwise, put it out with the trash.

Bought the matching washer dryer set thinking would be energy saving and reliable. Two months after warranty ended it quit, press pause/start button, no reaction. Started looking online and found out this is Maytags Frankenstein. Checked obvious stuff like power supply. Wont be buying another Maytag product EVER. Dryer still works but washer dead. Am retired, low income. Cant afford expensive repairs. Maytag ought to be eating this, not the consumer.

Bought a Maytag Dishwasher, model MDB89449SAM1 a little over two years ago and had nothing but trouble with it. Had Repairman out twice before but today he said we would be better off buying a new one! What a piece of JUNK and truly a waste of money! Would not recommend buying any MAYTAG products. They used to be a quality brand but no more.

First I do like the fact that it spins at such a high speed that the water is mostly gone, and that is the good news. I do like that it uses less water but when washing any dark colored clothes there are dirt or scum like marks where the clothes may have been folded or twisted in knots which I also do not like. I have cleaned machine but this started when new. Drying doesnt get rid of those scum marks either. I never had this problem with my old full fill machine. I have used more detergent and less HE of course in both liquid and powder. Any suggestions?

Yesterday I was using my washer (small load of clothes), I was with my baby in the laundry room when suddenly there was a horrible noise and the door of the washer opened, he hit my back, something fatal could have happened. I do not know how it happened but a piece of concrete was inside the drum. I do not want to imagine what would have happened if that piece came out and hurt my baby. I spoke to the company and explained what had happened to me, but they do not want to be responsible for what happened because the washer is in Tijuana (border with San Diego), I bought the washer in Pirch San Diego California in 2015. Maytag United States is responsible for this defect. Dont buy this model:mhw8100dc extra large capacity washer with steam and powerwash® system-4.5 cu. Ft.

I bought a Maytag Gas Range in January 2010. In January 2012, the wiring caught fire, and now, the oven is unusable. Maytag was not very helpful in our loss of money and product.

Nineteen-month-old dishwasher was repaired once while under warranty; 6 months later, same problem. They said they would send me a new part but I would pay for labor. I wasn’t happy but I agreed. I am being forced to use their people and pay first before the part is received and before the work is done. They said this is their procedure. If I must pay labor, I should be allowed to use whom I want. It is absurd asking for payment before job is done when the part is free. I have since checked the complaints, and there are over 200, with one woman on her fourth control panel – I will be on my second one. I feel this machine should be replaced free of charge. Its obviously a lemon!

We purchased a new Maytag dishwasher last year when we purchased our new home. All the other appliances were Whirlpool. This dishwasher runs forever. We have huge electric bills and I am sure this is a contributing factor. We purchased it from Lowes. They have sent out two technicians who say there is nothing wrong with it. One said it was because it was in an island. The other that our water is not hot enough. He turned the water heat up and now you have to warn people using it to be careful or they will get burned. No wonder the Maytag repairman is so bored. He knows the appliances he services are junk and doesnt bother. Take my advice. Buy ANYTHING BUT Maytag!

Failed control panel Quiet Series 300 - After seeing countless notations on the net concerning failing touch panel and control boards, now my relatively new dishwasher has started its demise. It is terrible that so many people have the same problem. I sent an email to Maytag and have promptly been ignored. Unless it sets your house on fire, I guess they are not interested as I am no longer interested in supporting this product. It is nice that you can post such similar design failures for the world to see. Thanks Maytag!

We have had this washing machine almost 1 year and the small problems have grown enormous. In addition to the constant soap residue left on the dark clothes (my guess is its on the light clothes too, but you just cant see it) the washer goes out of balance frequently (they are replacing the suspension, after they said its all working great). The repair man said Im not loading the clothes properly, I need to roll each item of clothing into a ball and then place it in the washer. Are you kidding me, my new machine has special needs? And dont put in too large of loads. What!!! Its an XL capacity but I cant do an extra large load, because half the clothes wont get wet or clean. Maytag blew it big time with these models, I could talk about the dryer too. Maybe next time.

I paid over $600.00 for a new maytag washing machine two years ago. It quit working a few days ago and the man said itll cost over $400.00 to fix it. Why do you people build this type of junk? I would like to hear from someone on this and why I had to pay $300.00 a year for a washer that is totally worthless now??????? ** please contact me. We had a house built in 2007 and bought all new Maytag appliances - washer, dryer, oven/range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. Consequently, we spent many thousands of $ and Maytag made much money from our purchases. In the 7.5 years since we have been using these appliances, the dishwasher already had to be replaced, as fixing it would have cost just as much as buying a new one. But its the range that I am so angry about. I have replaced the igniter 3 times since 2007, and last night, it went out again. I have spent $494 so far to keep replacing the igniter and once I make the service call to replace it AGAIN, it means I will have spent approx. $700 to keep fixing an appliance that is only 7.5 years old. Maytag says the warranty on the appliance is only for 1 year and will not budge on giving me a break on cost of parts and/or service. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase anything Maytag or recommend Maytag to anyone.

Replacing a working but noisy 14 year old Sears dishwasher for the newer Maytag was my bone head move for 2011. It died the first year control panel shot, no warranty. Paid for repair. This month dead again; same problem. Recall this stainless steel garbage. Maytag model MDBH949. Maytag, never again. Bought twice and last time.

The first washer my husband and I ever purchased was a somewhat cheap top loader but it worked very well for over 10 years. We decided to fall for a bargain sale at Home Depot and went with the HE Bravos model. We were told that it would save us money and work great! From day one weve had issues. It never really seemed to clean right. It gets thrown off balance if you have more than one bath towel in a load at a time. After an angry call to the company and a somewhat helpful customer service rep, I began washing every load at the deep clean heavily soiled cycle and then did an extra rinse to boot. So much for energy efficient. So, fast forward 4 years, I HATE this washer but cant justify a new one at this time. Now, it stops mid cycle and I have to unplug it then plug it back in and restart it. When this happens, there is an awful smell. Needless to say, well be buying a new washer within a week or 2 and you can bet your life, it will NOT be a Maytag.

Purchased washer March 2017 and had to get it repaired twice by the end of 2018. The top loader even with agitator does not clean clothes very well. The repairman said not to fill the washer above halfway so I can only wash about 4 pair of my husbands heavy soiled work jeans. I won’t buy another Maytag.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher, when I bought my house (7/2010). I live alone and I use my dishwasher only once a week or once every two weeks. After 3 years of working perfect, it stopped working. I had someone come look at it. After troubleshooting with the basic steps, making sure the water was correctly hooked up, a fuse was not the problem. The dishwasher door was shut completely. He took the racks and all movable parts, & thought something, a piece of glass, etc, was stuck in the drain. Nope. After reading these reviews I realize it is got to be the control panel because the start button will not come on and all these people have the similar problem. It just stopped. Period. The panel lights come on, but not the stop button. I am a single person as stated and on disability and on a very tight budget. I bought a Maytag because of the name and reputation. How long would it have lasted under normal use, say a family of 4, using it nightly? Certainly less than a year. I have no idea what to do now. I cannot afford a repairman, & I am certain it is the control panel on the dishwasher. I do of course have all the model numbers, etc & papers, when I bought it. I can provide proper paperwork, when contacted.

I emailed Maytag https://www.maytag.com/contact-us/ about my model number MBL2258XES3 Fridge on Dec 31. They scheduled a local appliance repair company and they came out today, Jan 5 and did the repair and defrosted the compressor and freezer compartment. 45 Mins is all it took. Thanks Maytag.

I recently purchased a Maytag French door, bottom freezer. It was delivered and set up by delivery men and when they pulled out the bottom freezer the bin and tray were missing. This refrig should have never been shipped (per Home Depot) and also delivery men. They called Maytag and ordered the missing part. 5 days later it arrives and is not the right bin. I purchased the 5 year warranty contract and after calling 3 numbers and getting shuffled around, they told me it should also have a slide out. They set up appt. for this Thurs. I wanted to file a claim for loss freezer meat and was told Miss, your 5 year warranty does not start until the 1 year manufacturer warranty is up. She also proceeded to tell me that no refund will be issued and they are NOT responsible when their product leaves their plant and gets to me. REALLY... The refrigerator was not properly inspected and still shipped. Not covered under warranty and fridge is 5 days old and have had issues from date of delivery. I will never make another purchase of a MAYTAG and their customer service could use more training and a course is representing their company in a much better way.

I moved into this house and the dishwasher came with it. For an appliance that is over 8 years old it works beautifully. It cleans my dishes well and doesnt leave residue on them. I ran it through a cleaning cycle recently and that has only improved its performance. I recommend dishwashers by Maytag because they last and perform well.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator (MBR2258XES4) from Home Depot in 2012. I bought a five year extended warranty. It started leaking at the bottom. Repairmen said defrost drain clogged not covered! Cost: $180. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG, N.E.W. (Asurion Co.) warranties or Home Depot appliances! This is text book deceptive advertising. At no time did Home Depot associates in Kitchen and Bath departments say that this common design flaw existed and that it was not covered under the N.E.W. Asurion warranty which cost me an an additional $150.00! I am interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Home Depot and Asurion Co (N.E.W.) warranties.

It is actually an older model Maytag set that I bought used 4.5 yrs ago. I am very impressed how its held up and how fresh our clothes are still. I have always loved Maytag and will buy again if needed.

On February 2006, I purchased a Maytag Quiet Series 300 Dishwasher and on July 2007, a motor leak. Maytag fixed it for free even though it was out of warranty. Thereafter (December 2008), the touch pad failed and I replaced it for $50. It is now August 2011, and that new touch pad is bad again, and this time, the part is $170. The Maytag will not run and the lighted display will not function from the start button. This was a $450 dishwasher that is now only five years old and useless.In all fairness to Maytag, their customer service is very good and willing to work with customers. Unfortunately, the product is very inferior in my opinion. To have stupid stuff like a control touch pad failing every three years is absurd and the replacement cost makes fixing it a bad investment.I will be going out this weekend and buying a brand-new inexpensive dishwasher that is on sale for $229. This model is not a Whirlpool product but it is a name brand.

This is the WORSE POS I have ever owned/used/etc.... our clothes are dirty, w/ a scummy film, really bad in most cases. Some have weird stain appear that werent there. Electric & water bills up. Have to always use deep water wash, double rinse. My clothes are wet when I put them in due to sensor fill (extra weight), also a zillion mesh bags. Clothes are getting trashed, faded so bad & smell bad. Having to use a cleansing product monthly, in one aspect, should encourage the engineers that signed off on this POS to change careers. Maytag customer service says no complaints have been filed!!! Horse **!!! $ 800.00, trashed, unclean, wrinkled to the point of almost needing to iron all your clothes. I have been going to the laundromat. Engineers should have been FORCED to use this machine at least 2 months.... good reviews my **.

I also purchased a Maytag dishwasher a few years ago. It has never worked that well. We had a repairman come out once to replace the control board but the problem soon returned. Interestingly, we found that if we wait long enough until the control panel is in the mood, the dishwasher works again and the control panel responds to button pushes, until the problem returns.I dont recall what model I purchased but it seems to be irrelevant. From reading the other customer complaints, its quite obvious that all Maytag dishwashers inherently have problems with their control panels and Maytag intends on doing nothing about it. I guess the extra repair costs that their customers have to pay for their defective products brings in some additional revenue to Maytag, so theres no real motivation for them to fix their ** products.

So sad, purchased brand new Maytag washer and dryer, Commercial technology (MVWB766FW) labels. Looked and appeared impressive. Machines cost almost $1,000 each. Had twenty year old machines that still worked, I didn’t want to face a unexpected breakdown and decided to replace. What a mistake. I’m 67 and all my life from grandma through my mother Maytag was the best, not anymore. Once my equipment was installed I washed a load checking frequently, noticed almost no water in the huge tub and my clothes being beat by the agitator but not enough water to move the clothes. I tried to change to high water setting but had to cancel this load to do so. Once on high water setting I started the load again, water still very low and agitator just rubbing the clothes directly next to it, no movement of the clothes at all. Ran completely through the wash cycle but when moving to the dryer noticed some light blue shorts had dry spots, many, which had never been wet even through the wash, rinse, and spin cycles. Had a warranty service call and was told this is how the machines work. I told the serviceman had I known that I would have never bought the machines. He told me the salesman should have explained this to me which he did not. The only way I can wash my clothes in the new, expensive machine is on bedding cycle with high water setting on. Sad day when American companies can legally sell such crap. Also, called the company where I purchased and ask about return. To that I was told once I made the purchase they were mine and Reid’s Appliance in Santa Barbara didn’t take returns. Reid’s Appliance can’t be trusted. Buyer Beware, this stuff is junk. I will be throwing these machines out soon as they aren’t even sale-able on the used market. MAYTAG RIPPED ME OFF.

We had a Maytag washer and dryer for over 32 years, the same washer and dryer. Finally our washer failed. We thought it would be a good idea to stick with Maytag. My husband purchased the Bravos XL Maytag washing machine. It is the worst washing machine ever and I regret the purchase. The washing machine doesnt clean clothes. If you use a powdered soap of any kind it leaves residue all over your clothes due to the fact it doesnt use enough water. It binds everything up. It becomes unbalanced with any larger load. Completely ties your sheets and your pants into knots. Yes literally I pull my clothes out and they are in a knot. The washer started to leak about two months ago after having it for a year-and-a-half. We couldnt locate the leak so we had to call a repairman and it cost us over $240 in parts and labor.

I purchased the Maytag MDB8959SBS dishwasher back in 2014. I have historically been a Bosch guy when it comes to dishwashers but I have been so happy with my Maytag Maxima washer and dryer, I wanted to give their dishwasher a chance. Well, it has been a major disappointment, to say the least. For starters, it just doesnt clean that well. I am very careful in how I load a dishwasher. I do not put baking sheets across the bottom rack lol. Consistently we find dirty dishes. Then after about a 6 months, I noticed the paint on the adjacent cabinets were peeling in spots (near the top and bottom corners). I started feeling around the outside of the door during the wash cycle and there was a fair amount of moisture collecting around the outside of the dishwasher seal (or non-seal). Fast forward to about a month ago, I noticed a burning smell in the kitchen while it was running. Did the typical check the heating element routine thinking something fell down and was burning. However, it was perfectly clean. Emptied it completely and ran a totally empty load. The smell was still there. I eventually figured out the smell was emanating from the upper right corner of the door. Coincidentally this was right above the location of the control board. I grabbed a tool and carefully removed the front panel and discovered wires were melted (some fused together) and even the inside of the panel (which is plastic) was melted in spots as well.So yes, I could have contacted Maytag and sent pictures and fought with them over a repair but to be honest, I have no interest in keeping this appliance. It has been trouble since day one. Again, to be fair, I have had good luck with their other appliances but this was an awful experience and a total waste of money. I have since gone back to Bosch and could not be happier.

This machine (Maytag Bravos XL) was in our new house and is relatively new. It is the worse machine I have ever owned. I am 58 and cant reach the bottom of the tub to get clothes out. It doesnt fill with enough water to clean the clothes, and repeatedly I have my clothes coming out dirty. I have had to rewash clothes to get them clean at all. Or they come out with grime all over them. I had both a LG and Samsung front loaders in the past, if I could afford it I would throw this Maytag out on the curb! Its a piece of junk.

I bought a Maytag MMV1153BAW Microwave. Within a year, the electronic key pad started cracking from normal use. After two years, the microwave intermittently starts then just stops, with the key pad showing 0000. We must unplug the device, or turn the breaker off and on. I called Maytag about the key pad and they said it wasnt covered, and a replacement key pad cost more than the microwave. After two and a half years, we purchased a new microwave, and have sworn never to buy Maytag again.

I bought this machine about a yr ago. My clothes come out so dirty white spots all over my clothes. Now my bills are higher. Because I cannot afford another washing machine I have to bring them to the laundromat. I saved my money a long time to buy a washer and now I am without one and still paying for this piece of tin that does not work... If I ever get a chance to buy another one it will not be a Maytag. I have called this company several times. Most of the time, they tell you that you need to call another department...which means you spend even more time on hold. This washing machine is only 3 years old. I will never buy another Maytag/Whirlpool product again!

Maytag dishwasher, MDB4651AWW was purchased on 15/02/2010. Touch panel was replaced under warranty on 16/08/2010. Touch panel became defective on 04/07/2012. It was $103 for the service call: panel was not replaced (too costly, > $200). My 2-year old dishwasher is now useless. The touch panel on this model has failed twice in two years and is obviously a design failure. I would ask for a free replacement panel.

Perfect for me. It would be better if I had a space to put it without adjacent walls. Mine sits with the refrigerator door against a wall and I have to pull it out to the door space to open it wide enough to pull out the drawers to take them out for cleaning. Otherwise, it has worked very well for me by myself, for me and my husband when he was alive and for my son and his family and myself, and he has 5 children.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer several years ago, and I have hated them ever since. The clothes smell and are wrinkled. The dryer never gets the clothes dry. It will run and run and run, and the clothes will still be wet. I previously owned a Maytag Washer/Dryer for nearly 20 years and never had a problem. This set is a piece of junk. When I go to Lowes or any store for that matter and see someone considering this product, I warn them as quickly as possible to stay away from this product. I will continue to do so. Shame on you, Maytag, for making such a horrible product and for being too weak to stand behind your product. I will never buy Maytag again and will do my best to make sure none else does either.

Have had continual problems with Maytag Bravos. They will replace in under a 5 year warranty. If not for the warranty, I would be out over 700 dollars spent on this very bad machine. Based on my experience Maytag washers are of poor quality. I would stay away.

During 2018 we purchased Maytag Bravos top loader to replace antique KitchenAid. Very dissatisfied at first, but luckily found the settings that makes my machine work very well on every cycle. First add 1/2 gallon of water to empty tub. Add detergent. Set controls at: Soil Level-Heavy; Wash temp - Warm; Main dial - Bulky Sheets; Extra Rinse - ON; Fabric Softner - OFF. Can now load full tub of clothes and more detergent if desired. Press start button and water covers it entirely. It works so well now, that I went from I hate it to I love it. Been going for two perfect months with no issues. Weird but true. Hope this helps you.

I bought a washer and dryer a few months ago from Home Depot Maytag. My clothes do not come out wrinkle-free. They are very wrinkled, to the point where I have to iron the perma press. The dryer I just got rid of was 30 years old, and always got the wrinkles out of the clothes. So I am very disappointed in the way yours works. I dont know what you can do, but this is not good. I purchased a French Door, Bottom Freezer refrigerator in the summer of 2006. Less than 3 years later, the ice maker door kept opening and closing and the lights on the door panel kept flashing. I called Maytag and found out there was a problem with the circuit board, and that it was under recall. The refrigerator was fixed at no charge and I was happy. Approximately 2-1/2 months ago, less than 7 years after I bought the fridge, it started getting too cold inside and then too warm and then too cold, etc. Then it stopped cooling altogether. From what I read, it was either a problem with the compressor or the relay on the compressor. There was a recall on the relay on some models, but not on mine. I cant even afford a service call. Let alone a repair charge. If the compressor is the problem, Im looking at a repair bill in the hundreds of dollars. The online price for a compressor is over $300. I dont have the money. So the beautiful refrigerator that I paid $2,000 for sits in the kitchen, unplugged. I never figured that Id pay that kind of money for a refrigerator and have 2 major problems with it in less than 7 years. I just got off the phone with Maytag and, of course, they cant do anything to help me. I was hoping to never buy another refrigerator, but if I have to or if I have to buy any other appliance, I will never ever buy another Maytag or Whirlpool. I will post everywhere I can about my experiences with this refrigerator.

I purchased a new Maytag washer and dryer March 2021, I have owned past Maytag washer and dryers, thinking they were the top of the line products, not this time, The washer, I put the clothes in barely covers the clothes, so I put it on deep water wash, when the clothes are all done, they look like they did when I first put them in the washer, dirty clothes, whites are dirty, towels look like they got dirt spots on them. The machine makes really weird noises, my little dog starts to shake, gets so scared, she runs under the bed and wont come out. The dryer, makes a very loud buzzer sound, she gets so nervous, when she hears it, she jumps up into my husbands arms shaking. I will never buy a Maytag washer and dryer ever again, they are totally different then the old ones, they had a good product and ruined it.

I purchase my first glass top stove; a Maytag. It came with a 10 year warranty on all elements and the glass top. As this is a first glass top I read through all instructions, there appeared no real warnings on what to do to maintain the glass; or rather what would damage or void a warranty. I simmered some maple syrup, and as it so often does when reaching the proper temperature, it boiled over. On a regular burner, one just uses a little elbow grease and your stove is returned its previous state. This actually pitted the glass, and as the warranty people at Maytag informed me voided the warranty, and seriously weakened the glass top suggesting it would be likely to break. Seriously?????? All of us boil stuff over on the stove top from time to time, and this damages the glass top and voids a warranty??? VERY DISAPPOINTED in Maytags product and their warranty.

Our Maytag refrigerator that is two years old has been nothing but issues just after the warranty expired. Ice maker is broken and it started having the temp alarm go off every few weeks and now every few days. It was a 1800 dollar purchase and no one has been helpful where we bought it nor has Maytag. We will never purchase another Maytag product...

Maytag french door fridge model MFF2558VEW7. I bought this fridge about 3 years ago. Have had nothing but problems. First I had problems with the freezer frosting up, then I had the same problem of ice buildup in bottom of freezer. Now the freezer only gets cold enough to cool drinks and the fridge only gets to about 60 degrees. This is not the only Maytag appliance I have had problems with. I bought a dishwasher a few years ago that quit working just after the warranty ran out. Both bought from Home Depot. After reading other reviews, it seems that appliances bought from Home Depot have had problems too.

Bad decision, Purchased in 2013 a Bravos by Maytag. After 3 years, it sounds like a jet engine taking off. The bearing is failing, sad as Maytag advertises to be the best. In 35 years, this is our 4th washer, actually the 1st was a hand-me-down that lasted longer. Unfortunately, we thought spending more and believing that Maytag would last longer was a mistake. Cost to repair is over half of the cost, so we have elected to run to fail. Then replace the Maytag that should have lasted at least 10 years. Warning. Purchase at your own risk. DO NOT buy this machine or any by Maytag, could be the same results. Or it could be that they are manufactured under Lowes specifications. From all the complaints the Maytag repair technicians are working, not setting around as they advertise. Only blaming myself for the purchase.

Worst washing machine!!! I purchased the top loader Maytag Bravos washer HE in 2011 and they are the worst!!! It has been repaired three times already and now is making such a loud noise and I have been told it is the bearings. I did purchase the extended warranty and it expired. The reason I did not get a renewal is Maytag & Home Depot do not allow the the extended warranty company to let you know the warranty is ending. So now I have a 3 1/2 year old washer that needs bearings and will cost $500 + for repairs. Will not be spending anymore money on this absolute piece of junk. I had a Maytag that was 22 years old that I replaced and thought I was buying the same quality but never again another Maytag. This company may want to employ only repairmen because you will need only them because no one should buy a new one going forward.

Maytag Bravos XL - This is the worst product I have ever owned! I purchased a Maytag because when my husband and I were married 29 years ago we bought a Maytag washer and dryer and still using the dryer. However we lost the washer and had to replace it. Worst mistake ever!!! Within a year a circuit board went out (they replaced but I was advised I needed an extended warranty which I do have) and was told by the technician that this model was junk! I called Maytag and expressed my great disappointment and all I was told is we document customers input. I then ask ok so what are you going to do about it? And I did not get a response. I asked for a different model but was declined. As you can see it is rusting at only a 1.5 years old and tearing up my clothes. It destroyed a doily that belonged to my late mother. Maytag used to have integrity in their product but not anymore. Not only all of these issues but I have to wash clothes twice and they still are not clean. Plus they have a dirt film on them and yes I used THE detergent!!

WOW, I cant believe a group of educated professionals made, tested, and approved such a washing machine. What a piece of crap. I could put my clothes in a bathtub and let the kids jump up and down on them and they would come out cleaner. I would love to have a heart to heart talk with the engineers who designed this, to ask, What were you thinking. What a waste of money, and a once good company, that will soon be going out of business.

It seems to be a broken record with other reviews. I had a 2 year old microwave and the door doesnt recognize that its closed. Which means it wont turn on when I close the door. So you have to open and close it maybe 30-50 times and sometimes it works. I call Maytag who schedules a company but doesnt disclose anything about the warranty or service cost. I was thinking it would be a nominal fee since it falls under a 10 year warranty. The company calls and confirms the cost and I recheck with Maytag who said that the warranty only covers parts. So I buy a $300 microwave and have to pay $160 for a service visit because your company made inferior parts. Absolute sham of a company. Buyer Beware...

Approx four months ago we got new stainless steel Maytag fridge, stove and dishwasher. Terrible, terrible, terrible. The dishwasher rack was broken, and the parts are plastic and hardly any room on the racks. The fridge had the wrong hinges and doors on them. We have been waiting for four months to have them replaced. Today we checked with Maytag and still not coming. The fridge makes a very loud humming noise it almost shakes the floor. This was some sort of compressor problem. Now the fridge is having problems with the freezer. It is freezing up with frost everywhere. The stove is terrible. I waited an extra month to get a convection oven which I have had before and this one is terrible. The double oven is a great feature if they work. They take forever to heat and if you do anything with the food you have reset the temperature? The top is the worst for cooking as the only one that works fast is the boost but then it slows down and you have a hard time cooking the food. The black top is very very hard to clean. I have owned a Maytag washer and dryer for the last 34 years. They have been excellent. Since Whirlpool took over Maytag they seem to have run the name into the ground and all the good service and products they had built up are now ruined. I told my neighbor a few years ago to buy a Maytag washer and dryer and they did. They have had nothing but trouble and are now having to buy new ones but not Maytag. It is a shame that with all the technology that Maytag has built up over the years is now gone. If you look at all the terrible reviews I dont think Whirlpool will be in business much longer with products and service like this. I still have a fifties fridge for pop and beer and it is the best fridge ever with no problems and my last fridge in my garage, that I replaced with this Maytag is still better than this new fridge. The service man that came to fix the fridge said we had to build in the fridge to keep the noise down. How come they never had problems with Maytag products years ago. I feel its all about the almighty dollar. They only last a few years and you have to buy expensive warranty. If you made them properly you would not need warranty and they would last for years like before. If anyone knows if there is a class action suit against these companies let me know since all of us should not be ripped off and costing us time and money.

Please read Michael of Davenports review. I read it and word for word this is my experience. This washer is the worst Ive ever had. If I could get back my old 20 year old machine, I would trade it in. Dont buy, youll hate it.

In the process of self cleaning mode, oven died with door locked. Thermostat and thermal fuse went out, couldnt get oven door open or control the situation in any way except pray for no fire and wait for hours till oven cooled down. Door could not be opened, it died in lock mode. Called repairman, already in to 2 repair bills, still not operating. Called Whirlpool and Maytag, no help!! But amazingly they have created a new kit for the blower unit in this oven, model # Mew7527AW00. I paid a bunch of money for this oven, which replaced a 40 yr. old oven that had been in its place, operating fine, but it was Aqua Blue!! Its so sad that a huge Company as this will not help with an almost new Oven??

I purchased the Maytag Atlantis Washer and dryer in 2004. I had the washer transmission replaced in 2006, I believe. For about a year now, the washer makes an awful screeching noise. I am not sure if its towards the end of the spin cycle or the rinse cycle, or both. In addition (and over the last 3-4 years), the dial sticks or stalls every delicate cycle. It will stop during the initial agitating and all you can hear is a ticking noise, in which you then have to manually give the dial a slight turn for the cycle to continue. It does it once on the light delicate and twice on the normal delicate. It really is a shame that Maytag is not acknowledging all of these problems as it is not feasible for most people to have a spare $1500 kicking around for a new washer and dryer every time they unfortunately buy a lemon. My previous washer and dryer were 25 years old and still working perfectly when I decided to part with them because they were fairly small. I dont even ever recall having any issues with either one of them in the whole 25 years that I had them. To see all of these complaints makes me more irritated with my appliances and my selection!

We purchase a matching Maytag washer and dryer set and within the first three months our washer began to give us error codes and would not wash our clothes completely on any cycle. It was repaired and we began to have the same issues within the next couple of months. This all happened within the first year. We called customer service about extending our service warranty due to the multiple malfunctions of this washer. We were given the run around and, quite frankly, the attitude that this was not their problem. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG PRODUCT! Thank you customer service for ensuring that I will not be a repeat customer!

We owned Whirlpool front load prior to the Maytag set we now own. Our Whirlpool was the better one. Shorter wash cycle, better cleaning & never had a problem with the seal. Maytag dryer doesnt signal properly when laundry is dry. You have to go multiple times. I wont purchase another Maytag set. We owned a Maytag top loader set and they worked like they should have.

We bought a new home with all new Maytag appliances. Our Maytag dishwasher has had 3 new handles, 1 inside tub and now needs a new touch panel. Our Maytag oven/stove has needed three ignitors and the oven door has never been right! The microwave is the only appliance that we have not had a service call. Appliances are expensive along with parts and labor for service calls. I will not be purchasing any more Maytag appliances. The standard comment by repairman: They dont make them like they used to. How sad is that!!

I bought the product thinking Maytag - should last a long time. Sadly I was wrong. Bought the microwave from Home Depot in May, 2016 and had it installed by them. The product worked fine for the first 14 months. In fact I thought it was great. It was quiet, heated things quickly - a great product. In July, 2017 I started having problems. The product would start. I was getting a message to Close the door to start the microwave, even though it was closed. When this would happen I noticed that when the door was open, the light wouldnt come on. It would require multiple open/close until finally the light would come on (when door was open). Only then, when I closed the door would the microwave operated as it should. I lived with this inconvenience until Dec, 2017. Of course - over the holidays is when it decided to quit working entirely.I did my digging and found problems with the switches. I replaced 1 switch - still didnt work. The cost to have a repairman come out is ridiculous (Sears wants $250). My frustration was growing and my confidence in the product was waning. So time to get another microwave. I was done. Frustration and anger doesnt begin to describe my feelings. I went with another brand. It isnt installed yet, it should happen this week. In the future I will tell friends to avoid Maytag microwaves. Apparently they just dont last. I realize this isnt a top of the line microwave, I only spent $299 (plus tax, installation...) but really - shouldnt it last more than 14 months before it starts giving me problems? Very disappointed!!!
