I bought the Maytag Bravos XL 5.3 washer because it was advertised to conserve water and it was a good brand, but it was a horrible mistake to buy this washer. The washer barely uses any water to clean properly and it hardly moves any of the clothing. The only thing that does move is the clothes at the bottom while the clothes on the top stays still. After using it for a day, I decided to return it back to Home Depot where I bought it, but they did not accept it and told me to call Maytag to return it. I called and the person who answered gave me different numbers to call. After going through ten different numbers, I finally received someone that could help me and they told me that I could not return the washer. They told me that the only way to return it was if there was a mechanical problem with the washer. It is extremely frustrating because I paid over $800 on this washer and now Im stuck with this garbage because I cant return it. I recommend everyone to not buy this washer otherwise youll get the same problems I am getting. I have to manually stop the washer and move the clothes by hand.

I like most others have experienced the same issues with the new Maytag top load WM. In addition my new machine dances across the floor like a drunk leprechaun. After Lowes told me that with my extended warranty Id have to miss work and pay 100 bucks for a service call I emailed Maytag. Needless to say they didnt even respond. Ive have learned a few valuable lessons. Dont assume that more money means better merchandise. Made in America doesnt say much. And please dont buy Maytag.

Maytag refrigerator - After 3 months, a water line broke and caused $350 in damages to our kitchen floor. The next month, the ice maker jammed. The next month, the ice maker went out. I have agreed to let the Maytag repairman (youve seen the commercial where he never has anything to do) use our spare bedroom. Seriously its the worst appliance, by far, Ive ever owned and Ive had plenty as I am 71 years old.

I have trusted Maytag for many years, more than 60 years, my parents and then myself. My Dad always told me I could trust Maytag over any other brand and that has always been true until I bought a new Centennial Econoserve Washer. This is without question the worst machine ever made. I should have asked every question in the book concerning this machine but, oh no, I just trusted the name MAYTAG. I am so sorry. I cant trust it to clean anything that shows it needs cleaning so you have to wonder what does it clean that you cant see. Im sorry people, I just dont know what to do. I cant afford to buy a new machine and the store I purchased are basically telling me, Sorry, you bought a stripped down model. Too bad! I will never buy another appliance from that store nor will I recommend them to anyone. Too bad since they are locally owned. Anyway, Maytag, you blew it badly to turn out this terrible machine. Thats my story and Im sticking to it. Better product next time.

After buying this dishwasher model MDB6759WWW3 in Jan. 2010, I fully expected it to work longer than it did! So far, the control panel has been replaced 5 times. The last time was Sept. 17, 2012 and already it is out again. I talked with Customer Service, since Georgia has a lemon law. After 4 times it is to be replaced.They had no record of the part that was replaced, just that a technician had come and repaired (by ordering the same part they had no knowledge of). This time they will either replace or instead of me calling, my lawyer will call. I will never buy another Maytag product and will encourage anyone else not to buy either. My daughter had the same experience with a refrigerator, a piece of junk they did nothing about. By the way, I have an extended warranty plan, which should not even be necessary!

I purchased a very expensive set of Maytag washer & dryer (topload washer) and heavy duty larger capacity. Firstly- I purchased this through Home Depot on Labor Day weekend and did not receive this set until December 2020. This set has all the electronics and Im going to tell you NOT to purchase either one. The dryer MUST have a metal solid vent. This sets your dryer out into the walkway of a laundry room. If you use a heavy flexible metal vent; your sensor will be going off constantly telling you your vent is plugged and to clean it. I had a dryer vent company out twice to clean and inspect the wall & roof vents yielding nothing. I also have a dryer vent cleaner which I hook up to my vacuum and I clean the dryer vent monthly. If you lose power. You will need to unplug your dryer and let it reset to be able to use it.The washer is also terrible for the outrageous price. Again; glass heavy duty top load with all the electronics. You cant get the washer to fill even on deep fill. Also; do NOT put a lot of clothes or jeans or blankets in this machine. It will not be able to level and spin. When you try to use the drain and spin cycle; the sensor keeps going off. I swift the contents around and around and finally end up having to take soaking wet cloths out into the garage until I have one sheet in the machine and it will spin out. In addition- the CLEAN with Afresh mess. This forces you to clean your machine- whether you are in the middle of trying to get clothes drained or not.Buy something thats a simple workhorse with one button. Stay away from any bells and whistles because its only going to cause you heartache in the long run. I wish I would have read reviews prior to spending $1,700 on a Maytag Washer Dryer set (ON SALE- for God sakes). This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever purchased. Buyer beware.

Maytag washing machine is the loudest machine Ive ever heard. It doesnt wash the clothes well leaves spots. We had a new barrel put in and it still walks across the floor. The water level doesnt come up high enough, makes grinding noises and it takes forever for the wash to be done. How can you say its an energy saver if it goes on for an hour or so. Very dissatisfied and pissed off.

Maytag Microwave MMV4205DW-1 - This microwave made it one year and one month before the door would no longer latch shut and the control panel stopped working altogether. Called Maytag and was told not under warranty. It was going to cost more to repair than to purchase a new microwave that was a different brand.

We bought a new Maytag Bravo washing machine last spring. It was easy to understand the instructions, but that is all that was good about it. Like everyone is saying. It doesnt wash the clothes completely. On every dark load I have what looks like streaks of lint. I contacted Maytag. They gave me suggestions for solutions. None of them worked. I have put the clothes on for a second rinse and spin and it got out some of the lint. Also. they are evidently spun so hard in the washer, after they come out of the dryer they are a wrinkled mess. All the wash and wear, which is almost everything we own, is wrinkled. I have to iron every item. Never again a Maytag for us. If there is a class action suit, I want in on it.

My fridge and freezer got warm and compressor is not running. It is not even 8 years old. I replaced start relay and start capacitor. It cost me $75, from Maytag store. I worked two days the bam! It’s broke again. It’s a Maytag junk, now what? I have two kids in college. It will cost me $100 for a service call. Our food is ruined.

Under a year old @MaytagBrand fridge stopped working and they couldnt get a repairman here for a week. I said this was unacceptable--we would lose hundreds of dollars in groceries and months of breast milk. They didnt care. I asked if they would reimburse me for a private repairman, they said no. Less than a year old. Friends, I implore you, never buy @MaytagBrand. This customer service is truly unacceptable.

First front loader washer and love it. Saving on water, less tangling of clothes. So far they are quieter than others that I have had. The dryer is almost 10 years old and the washer less than a year. The machine I had previous to this was top loader that had to be replaced, would no longer spin.

We purchased a new Maytag Bravos washer and dryer. The washing machine senses the weight of the clothing and determines how much water to use. The machine does not put enough water in to completely immerse the clothes, therefore after the load has washed, the clothes come out of the washing machine partially dry. I have to wash the clothes a second time therefore using detergent twice, water twice, electricity twice and my time twice to wash each load. After a while the machine stopped washing altogether. I would load the laundry, add the soap, close the machine and start the machine. It would begin to put water on the clothes and sense the weight of the clothing and it would get stuck there. I would hear a buzzing sound and the clothes have been stuck on this same cycle for over 15 minutes and it would not wash the clothes. I tried starting the machine again, and it would drain the machine. Id have to add more soap, use more water, use more electricity and use my time again to try and wash the same load. They sent out a repair company who looked at the machine, did whatever they did (and left a bunch of water on the floor behind the dryer and didnt have the decency to tell me so that I could clean it up). They said they had to order parts and they would come back. They called me several hours later and said they had the parts in their warehouse and they could repair the machine.After a while, they said they were finished and that the machine was repaired. I tried to wash a load after they left and... the original issues were still there. I called the repair company and told them what happened. I typically do laundry once a week, so out of fairness to the technicians, I told the lady that I didnt have any more dirty laundry and that I wanted to try the machine again when I had dirty laundry the next week. I called the next week and Maytag said that I had to pay for the technicians to come out, even though they never repaired the washing machine.After complaints they offered me a $75 credit towards the repair company which I refused to accept. Then they told me I could buy another Maytag machine and they would give me a discount. So basically, I would get something like $76 off of a $600 machine. Really? And then the idiot had the nerve to tell me that it was customary for the clothes to come out partially dry. So in other words, he was telling me that these machines were designed with flaws to partially wash clothes so that consumers would have dirty clothes. I asked for a replacement machine of equal value and they told me that Maytag does NOT replace machines. They sell this crap, knowing that it is no good and they arent willing to replace it! I got someone else on the phone and he said that I will not have to pay for the technicians coming out a second time to attempt to fix the machine. I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

I purchased a Maytag model no. MDBH979AWB dishwasher on 4/28/2010, and I did not take out the extended warranty. I thought a Maytag product was built to last, but according to Maytag, I am wrong because they only offer a 1-year warranty on their products. About 2 months ago the hi-temp button on the control panel stopped working. Then a few days ago, the START button stopped working, I emailed Maytag and they sent me a PDF file that shows the warranty is only 1 year. I purchased the dishwasher at Home Depot, I went there and talked to customer service, they were no help either.I am very disappointed in both Maytag and Home Depot for selling products that Are CRAP! I paid $499 for this dishwasher, and if I would have known it only came with a 1-year warranty I would not have purchased it. I will no longer purchase any products that are made by Maytag or any products associated with Maytag.

I have Maytag refrigerator that is only 2 years & 9 months old that I am told by a service tech that it has a sealed system leak. So the unit runs it just wont get cold. I have lost all the food that was in the refrigerator & freezer and I told by Maytag that its not covered under warranty. The tech gave me a ball park quote of $600.00- $700.00 to repair the unit & I lost at lest $200.00 or more in food. I cant believe a new refrigerator wont even last 3 years & they wont fix their problem. So much for buying American made products. Whirlpool YOU SUCK & SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!

It is quiet and cleans well but thats where it ends. We have had it a little over a year now, after just a few months it started leaking, fixed under warranty. Now one of the upper rack tracks is broken, it was held together with three very flimsy welds, hopefully will be getting it fixed soon. We are going to wait and see what other kind of repair it will need, I think we would have been better off to just buy a cheap dishwasher!

We have been totally pleased with our Maytag Washer and Dryer BRAVOS XL units from day one. Their advertising is Spot On correct. Follow the directions for periodic cleaning and all is well. The only issue weve had is low water on some wash cycles. But these are Eco and Environmentally friendly units. So we learn how to use the machines for best performance. We would definitely purchase these again.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot in January 2009. We did not begin using it until perhaps March of 2009, so just over 2 years ago. It gets ran maybe 1 to 2 times per week. I went to turn it on a day ago and the right side of the control panel, where you press the start button, does not work. When I checked Maytags website, I discovered there was a recall due to the heating element. So, I had the repair technician out and he told me that the control panel was bad and it would cost $300 for parts and labor to repair. We paid $600 for this dishwasher. Of course, we have the option of purchasing a new dishwasher and receive a rebate but that ends up being more than just ordering parts and replacing them ourselves, but something only 2 years old should not break. From reading all the other complaints on this forum, I am surprised that Maytag has not done something about the control panel and the humidity issue which seems to cause the control panel to go out. This is an expensive fix which Maytag needs to address. Come on Maytag!

I have had KitchenAid and Whirlpool my whole life - lots of them - NEVER EVER have I had so much trouble with a washer. This front loader is the worst possible machine. My former Whirlpool was a front loader too - Never a problem. I purchased this Maytag set simply to have a matched set because our Whirlpool dryer died. This washer has to be babysat. The washer holds water and it gets musty - never ever before have I had this problem. Maytag says it is designed this way and I have to continue to buy AFFRESH (which is also very expensive). I have to use this two to three times a week and the pkg says once every 6 months - DONT DONT BUY MAYTAG. LOUSY.

I have always loved Maytag but this top load washer is a bust. I purchased this higher dollar energy efficient washing machine to hopefully get the value out of it for years to come. Model MVWC565F. 4.2 Cu Ft. I use good quality liquid laundry detergent. I launder adult clothing (including business casual wear), sheets, towels and pet blankets. Occasionally the 20+ something children do their laundry while home. I often have dry spots on my clothes where they never got actually wet. I switched to only using the deep water cycle; however, this does not immerse the load in water. The smaller my load the less likely to get clean. Ive adapted to only have large loads but I still do not feel my clothes are getting clean. I often have to run the load a second time to not only remove ordinary day-of-wearing smells (very noticeable in socks for example) but to get them all wet and free of soapy/linty-like spots left on the clothes from the washer (most notable on black leggings, dress pants, etc). I always do my towels and bedding separate from daily clothing, so this is not coming from having a mixed load. I have also noticed that the load takes much longer (up to 2 hours) for my washing cycle. How is this energy efficient? It uses less water but more electricity? I miss my old fully-immerse-in-water washing machine that washed in under an hour! Love the dry that I bought with this but not the washing machine!! I do not recommend this washing machine!!

Bought a Maytag front load washer and dryer, it rattled and shook from day 1, they have come out 3 times in 1 month to fix that, now it wont even spin. This will be the 4th day of work I have had to miss, and all they say is, We have to send someone out to repair. Sorry. Do not purchase their products!! They dont care.

I purchased my Maytag Bravos washing machine set in July 2007. In May 2011, I had to have the shocks and another part relating to running a balanced load replaced. I spent about $500 on those repairs. The parts to replace the shocks took more than 6 weeks to arrive! Roughly one year later, the plastic water pump has broken and needs replacing - another $100 part plus labor. I always believed Maytag was a reputable company, but I am very sad at the quality of the product I purchased based on their reputation. They should be ashamed! To date, the dryer has been good - knock on wood!

My wife was in the kitchen and started yelling for me to get in there fast. I could smell smoke and then could see the smoke in the kitchen and sparks coming out of the front top right side of the dishwasher. I shut off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker panel. I then removed the contents and then the dishwasher itself. I threw it outside and then the next day I took apart the door and found that the control board was melted and fried. The model # is MDBH949PAM1. We are trying to locate the receipt for date of purchase. Pictures are attached. This is not safe and my wife is very upset as our 4 year old daughter had been leaning on the door not just 15 or so seconds before this happened.

Fifteen months after purchase of the top load washer, we have had to call in repair. The lid lock and sensor have went out on the machine and the repair costs are equal to the purchase of the machine. Whether the consumer has an extended warranty or not, this is unreasonable. So hear this Maytag, the CONSUMERS will invest elsewhere when delivered cheap merchandise like this even if it is Made in the USA as you wish to tout in order to bait the consumer for their money instead of providing superior quality American products. This consumer is sending this machine out the door.

We went to Home Depot and bought a Maytag front load dishwasher and dryer and microwave 3-1/2 years ago. The washer and dryer were put in right away. The dishwasher and microwave stayed in their box for another year due to us remodelling the house room by room and the kitchen wasn’t done for a year. We put the appliances in and the dishwasher panel went out in October 2011. The washer in April 2012 started having a failure 8 when it gets to the last spin and rinse in which takes a lot of shuffling clothes to get it to finish its cycle. Then last night, May 14th, 2012, the microwave caught fire and all I was doing was brew tea in a glass Pyrex measuring cup not to mention the fan didnt work from day one. The whole house was full of smoke and it melted the plastic. So the most I got out of 3 of these products is 3 years at the most. This is very sad that we spent this much money and it lasted less than 5 years. I am writing this to warn consumers not to buy Maytag appliances. They should last longer than 3 years and are not cheap to buy. This makes me very angry and I hope someone takes this seriously and work on the problems before someone burns up due to these appliances catching fire. Our dishwasher had a recall shortly after we installed it due to the element catching fire and we had your repair man replace it.

This is not a complaint but a love-letter. I know that todays Maytag Neptune is not the Maytag of old. But Im here to report that Im still using a Maytag washer that was built in 1982! The only thing wrong with my machine is that it occasionally goes off-balance when I wash heavy towels or blankets. Note: We inherited this machine with the purchase of a home in 1991. We were a family of 6, so this machine has done many heavy loads! Im looking forward to celebrating my Maytags 30th birthday, come Jan. 1, 2012. And I would love advice on how to replace it, eventually, with another machine that has just the basics - no bells and whistles, computerized control panels, etc.

Our Maytag dishwasher was just past the 1-year mark when the control panel stopped working. A certified Maytag repair service came out to diagnose just that and charged us $89. Maytag sent the user interface out to us, and my husband noted that there was absolutely no way that the part could be installed wrong. The wires could only go one way. The repair service (DSM Appliance Service) wanted another $120 to install it. We installed it, and it still doesnt work. Maytag will no longer assist us in any way. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again. After investigating, I see that this control panel issue has happened many, many times; and I wonder why there hasnt been something done about it.

I wish I had found this website before I bought my new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot on March 7, 2018. I replaced a 30 year old Maytag washer that I should have kept. I wash two loads a week so has not been used that much and now it will not drain. I tried everything, canceled the cycle out, checked the circuit breaker, unplugged it, removed the clothing, bucketed out the excess water, tried the drain and spin cycle, etc. Just will not drain or spin. Repairman is coming next week... Still under first year warranty but if it is not the “fault” of Maytag I was told there will be a $90+ minimum service charge.

I have called numerous times and the satisfaction is out the window. The MOLD is so bad on the gasket that I can not get it off and it just keeps getting worse. My clothes smell musty even after they are washed. Really fed up... I have had different Maytags for at least 40 years and I will not purchase another one at this point. Apparently your customer service is as bad as some of your machines. My word of mouth is not good advertising for you.

Fridge model # MSF25D2EAB00. I have had the fridge 3 years and 2/3 shelves have crumbled to pieces, the compressor has gone, the ice bucket crumbled, the ice maker stopped working, once ice maker was fixed it got stuck on crush, and now I am trying to order another shelf because it has also crumbled like the rest and this is in a household of 1 person! I am just getting the run around... I have been redirected to 3 different numbers now (800-344-1274, 866-368-6478, and 877-468-2371) and now I had a rude customer service rep so I asked if I could speak with someone else and I am now on eternal rot on hold. Pretty sure he didnt even transfer me and Im just sitting on hold on his line while he is laughing. Time to hang up and try again another day. #un**believableI was also told that if I purchased the extended warranty plan that it would cover the crappy shelves in the future so I did and now they are telling me it doesnt cover them and it only gives me a discount on them. MAYTAG YOU OWE ME A NEW FRIDGE... THIS ONE IS A LEMON! I have no clue what my order number is or where my receipt is at the moment but I could get a copy Im sure because I purchased it on my HomeDepot credit card so if you want it let me know and I will provide it to you then.

Maytag will not fix 2 major issues with new $700 Maytag dryer bought from Home Depot who takes no responsibility. They wont return it. Maytag wont replace defective dryer unless technician from totem appliances cannot fix problem. The tech ordered a control board and timer. Only installed the timer. He did not fix 2 issues. Dryer never stops at OFF. Dryer leaves damp spots on any clothing whether small or medium large load. Was told by Maytag if damp spots then its OUR problem... our ventilation. No it is your sensor. Our model is ymedc465hwo serial m820. 07331. Bought in late Oct. 2018. Two supervisors later we are being sent to tech or tech company and played games with. All I know is Maytag sells defective dryers then wont replace them or fix main issue.

I called. I was told nobody else ever had that problem. She hung up. I called again. The french door is nice to look at but it does not seal properly and there is CONSTANT build up of BLACK MOLD no matter how much cleaning. It returns. There is no other design for a seal either. There are several creases in the gaskets and there is mold in all of them no matter how deeply cleaned or sprayed. The seal is poorly constructed. DO NOT BUY THEIR FRENCH DOOR... Also their ice maker shoots ice all over the floor.

I bought my refrigerator in May of 2012. Brand new from Home Depot. It is less than 3 years old. Now it is not working. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I never thought in less than 3 years my fridge would stop working. I called Maytag, first question from them was about warranty. So I knew I was screwed. So, basically for $300 they would come out and fix the problem. I only paid $800 for the fridge. I am lost as to why in 3 years my fridge is broke?? Makes no sense to me. So I paid a tech $100 to tell me what was wrong with it. The evaporator is leaking. It is leaking. So the evaporator is bad and I cannot fix myself. So for another $300 they would fix, so a total of $400 in an $800 fridge.I am pissed. I remember my parents having a fridge for over 25 years. Why does Maytag not take responsibility for their problem. The products we buy should last longer than 3 years. It is just a way for them to get us to buy another product. So needless to say, I am one pissed off customer. So let the emailing and letter writing begin.

Maytag Dishwashers work great. It cleans well and appearance is very good. I have always trusted Maytag appliances. Its quiet running and also energy saver. If I had to replace I would stay with Maytag.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer bought 6 years ago. Recently, it started giving trouble by stopping at spin stage. I contacted a local service company and they immediately told me even without looking at machine, that it is a control board problem and will cost a lot to repair and suggested to buy some other company washer instead of repairing. They told it is the third similar complaint this week. But I contacted Maytag and they suggested their factory authorized technician who could not correctly locate the problem but charged for the visit. Later he also came to the same conclusion. Thus my previous washer from another company lasted for more than 20 years (Still in working condition), this washer required a service with a cost same as its price!!!

I love this washer. You can fill all the way or energy setting but either way it does the job. I paid 1200 for a Whirlpool. it was broken within 6 moand couldnt get service repair. With the Maytag it was on sale for 550 cash. It stop spinning. I called for service. They were there in 2 days on time and 20 minutes it was working. It was a needle stopped it. Just reprogrammed and wa-lah!

I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher at $600. 6 months after installation, the control panel quit. Maytag sent a repairman and replaced the panel. 4 months later, the control panel quit again. The repair man told me that if it failed a third time, that Maytag would replace the dishwasher all together. The control panel quit again just a few days before the warranty expired. When the Maytag repairman came for the repair, he tried to convince me that it was not the control panel this time. He then replaced the control panel, but did not use the embedded electrical connectors. He literally cut the wires and wired it together by hand, wrapping everything in electrical tape. He said this was a different repair than the others and the three strikes and a full replacement rule didnt apply. I wasnt convinced and called Maytag to complain. I was promised a six month warranty extension, if I would accept the repairs. Two months later and the control panel has quit again. When I complained to Maytag, I was told that I had no six-month warranty extension and it had never been promised to me. They offered to send a repairman to diagnose the problem for $130. Needless to say, there will NEVER, and I repeat NEVER, be another Maytag appliance bought for my home.

These machines have lots of service problems, although Im not familiar with the newer models. The function and the features are adequate, and typical. And overall, again, I have no complaints other than shortly after purchasing, there was a circuit board recall for these machines, and fortunately, I had a repairman who knew of the issue, and guided me to a cost free fix. Overall, it has served the purpose well of cleaning my clothes in a decent fashion.

I bought a Maytag microwave model mmv4203ds00 on May 2010. On 8-20-10, the microwave stopped working. It was serviced under warranty. However, on 10-31-11, the microwave stopped working again.

Lid lock issue. 2 years old. I will never buy a Maytag, or any other Whirlpool brand for that matter. I am VERY disappointed. A service call will cost at least $200 dollars so why not just buy a new washer for that price. Also, I read that consumers should stay away from automatic water level washers. They never work right.

I bought this washer from Home Depot and was told I could load large comforters and even sleeping bags in it because there was no center agitator. There NEVER seems to be enough water to wash and rinse clothes completely. The water saver feature cannot be used as I have to use extra rinse cycle EVERY load to rinse soap out of clothes or I get white residue spots. I have MANY MANY shirts that have small tears in them I believe caused by this washer. I have monitored shirts I put in the washer and again today lost another high quality fabric T shirt. I have saved all of the shirts in hopes that one day there will be a definitive report that this washer design stresses clothes and damages them. I am going to purchase a new washer and it will not be a model like this.

Purchased brand new MAYTAG fridge May 1, 2016 from Home Depot. First week after delivery the slide out freezer started creating frost all over and leaking on floor. There is no Maytag man! Home Depot said they dont have anything to do with Maytag warranty. Called Maytag and they sent out repairman from Diamond Factory Service. They ordered new gaskets for freezer (two weeks) while we clean up mess every other day. Gaskets arrive and are put on. Frost growing greater than before. Repairman comes out again and sees the freezer door and door jamb are not flush. He orders a new freezer door. Maytag does not stock them but has to make a new freezer door (8 weeks). We are chipping ice every other day from the freezer and cleaning up the floor.I call Maytag and want a new fridge in June. They dont give replacements. Have to wait for the new door. I took straight edge and line it up with fridge and its not flush. Must wait 4 more weeks for the new door. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a new appliance and will never buy another Maytag or Whirlpool (they own Maytag) product again and would discourage anyone else. I bought a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washer just over two years ago from Home Depot. The control board and sensor went out last week. The service technician seemed rather surprised that a newer machine would have that kind of non-wear-and-tear problem and suggested that I contact Maytag/Whirlpool to see if they could help offset the parts costs, as the repair was going to cost over $600! The customer service agent I spoke with said that there was nothing they could do because the item did not have an extended warranty. I explained to her that we purchased this unit, even though it was out of our price range, because we were told that it would last a lifetime. I would have been happy if it would have just lasted 5 years! She was very detached and it was clear that Maytag/Whirlpool was not going to stand behind their product. I will now take the repair money and go buy a new washer. You can be sure that it absolutely will not have the Maytag/Whirlpool brand!

This machine is the worst! I purchased this Maytag washer 2 years ago and the machine leaks from the left side bottom. I called Maytag and they said I need one of the techs out to check the machine and the cost was going to be $115 so I agreed even though was not too happy that there is no guarantee after 2 years. The service tech arrived. He could not move the machine himself and was a little angry so my wife called a neighbor to give the tech a hand after looking at the machine. He called if office to help him diagnose the unit and said the drum seal was bad and it would cost $315.00 so my wife agreed but at the end of the transaction my wife asked the technician, Is it guaranteed that this would fix it? He replied there is no guarantee but we still have to pay to try... What kind of diagnostic is this, Im very unhappy with this company. 1st the machine sucks after 2 years to start leaking and 2nd their service dept. sucks also... stay away from Maytag.

I have been buying Maytag washer & dryers for 40 years. Have always been satisfied until now. The first 2 sets of washer & dryer were great. Very little ever went wrong. Now I have purchased another set approx. 3 years ago. As of today, I will be putting approx. $300.00 in repair to the washer. Repairman said it is a bad design. It is the second time for the same problem, which was repaired a year ago! I will not buy another Maytag product if they cannot be reliable. I should not have to pay $300.00 in repair for a 3 year old washing machine. I am very disappointed.

We purchased this new set of Neptune Washer and dryer at Lowes, in Yakima Washington in 2004, and now discover that there is a class action lawsuit due to the problems associated with mold, the pump, the motherboard, etc. Our washer is making horrendous noises when it spins, and the motherboard barely works at all. I trusted Maytag and bought this set and a stackable set at the same time. Yes, I am angry and will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool again.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator two years ago with the front french doors and bottom pull out drawer. We chose Maytag because we thought it was a name we could trust, a good quality merchandise. However, in the last two months, we started having problems when the fridge wouldnt stay cold, the freezer worked fine. We removed everything from the freezer and my husband found the freezer needed defrosting as the back of the unit was a solid sheet of ice. It took hours to defrost and we thought that we had the problem taken care of.. and that we wouldnt have to worry about this happening again. However, we have now had to do this three times in the last two months!! I love the style of this fridge..but am getting SO ANNOYED with having to rip everything out of the freezer and spending HOURS to defrost it! I have NEVER had this problem with any other fridge!! Im ready to replace it, but weve only had it for two years, and I shouldnt have to be spending a fortune on ANOTHER fridge after TWO years!!

I bought the Bravos glass top washer. It was always loud. I have a friend who had a cheaper model and his was loud too. My washer barely lasted two years before tearing up. It cost $85 to tell me it would be over $500 to fix it. I paid over $600 so it wasn’t worth fixing. Lid lock went out and gear went bad.

This machine doesnt wash your clothes. It leaves them dry & the agitator sucks too. I am so annoyed. I just bought them & had them delivered 7/27/15. It has only been a few days & NOT satisfied. Overpriced over $800 for it & its crap! Same with the Bravo dryer, it takes forever to dry. I wish I still had my old washer & dryer (had them for 7 years, NO problems). Very unsatisfied. DONT buy these, they are total CRAP!

I purchased my Maytag washer and dryer set from the Maytag store in Glendale, AZ in September 2005. I even bought the stands for them. With my purchase, I got the extended warranty for four more years. I didnt realize that I would really need it. I have had so many issues with the washer and dryer I cant even count - from the control panel not working, to the noise and the vibration when washing, or maybe in the smell of moldy cheese. I also have issues with the constant chimes of D5 code that keeps coming up on the display screen. After 2009, I finally gave up on calling the Maytag customer service folks to have someone come and service the washer because it was out of warranty. I just decided to live with all those issues.As far as my dryer goes, the rollers went bad and that was replaced. The burnt smell isnt so bad as long as you use a wire hanger with a sock on the end of it and clean the inside of the vent. Then try to vacuum it, take the sock, get it wet, and clean the inside of the vent again. This was the most expensive piece of junk I have ever purchased in my life (almost $3,000.00 with the stands and warranty).What really gets me upset is I had the Maytag people servicing my washer and dryer up until 2009 and no one told me about a recall of my washer and dryer. The only reason I found out about it was searching for the specs as the washer finally died and I am replacing it. Trust me. I will not be purchasing a Maytag. I know that Whirlpool purchased Maytag so I am not even going to consider Whirlpool either. Since Whirlpool purchased Maytag, Whirlpool should have contacted all Maytag consumers, (which they didnt), put ads in newspapers (which I did not see) or put an ad on TV. None of these appeared to have happened.By the way, when I bought my Maytag appliances, I was supposed to get a $200 rebate for buying the stands that never came. It must have gotten lost in the mail - as well as the Tide coupons for three years. You, guys, remember that too. My Maytag dishwasher is not working after 1 years & 60 months. I called Sears, where I got it. Then, Maytag company. It looks like I need to spend $167 for an electronic controller (the push buttons will not turn on) if I do myself (I doubt if I can go it, but I can try). If not, how much will I pay a tech for coming (I was told $59) plus the labor if I let him fix it. So Im looking at a total of approx $400 plus to fix a 1 1/2 yr old Maytag dishwasher. Purchased a Maytag Atlantis washer at Lowes in 2004. Until recently it worked without any problems; however, the agitator never seemed to work quite right. Normally, an agitator rotates in such a way that the auger action of the vanes pulls the clothes in toward the middle and then down into the water such that you have a continuous cycle of clothing being pulled down the middle, agitated at the bottom, then pushed up the outside. This one agitated but the clothing would just go round and round in the tub. Everything managed to get clean enough, but clearly something was amiss. Recently, the spin cycle became loud. A rumble became a loud roar over the course of a few cycles. Then I noticed water on the floor coming from under the washer. The short story is that the center shaft seals had just worn out. After almost 12 years of use, thats not surprising. Whats surprising is that it had worked so long without any issues other than the agitator.I took it apart and, to my dismay, the water had gotten into everything so that some of the metal parts were hard to remove. After having determined what replacement parts were necessary, I ordered them, but then placed additional orders for parts that probably would wear out eventually. So I ended up doing a near-complete rebuild. Other than the difficulty of taking some of the parts apart, and removing/installing the tub springs, it was actually pretty easy. I have reassembled, and now it seems to work flawlessly... so far. About the agitator: I found that shims are used on the transmission shaft to adjust tension. Too much tension and the clothes just ride around the tub; like mine did. Too little tension probably results in the thing not agitating at all (I dont really know). Once the washer is apart its easy to set the tension (insert the shim washers) correctly.There is a clip that holds the shim washers in place on the shaft. It was really tight; somewhat difficult to remove. One of the shims wouldnt fit when I tried to reassemble. As it turned out, that was a good thing. My research on this model revealed the way to get the proper tension. My assessment is that whoever assembled this washer at Maytag (or whoever builds these) assembled it incorrectly! Another thing I found out - after I ordered/received parts, unfortunately - is that there are two types of tub/shaft seal sets for this washer. I ended up replacing the newer type seals with the older type. Everything fits, but I may be losing out on a newer, better design. Well see. Overall, I am very pleased and impressed with the longevity and reliability of the MAV9501EWW washer. I have had Kenmore and Whirlpool; neither of which was nearly as durable and reliable. I hope this is helpful to someone.

We have had our Maytag dishwasher MDB9100AWQ only 5 years and now it keeps shutting off. I see there is plenty of this complaint. I will not purchase another Maytag product after reading all these reviews and experiencing it.

I installed a new Maytag Wall Oven Microwave Combo 18 months ago. I had not used the microwave in over a week. Last night, we heard a loud pop and realized the beauty glass front on the microwave had shattered. No one had closed the door too hard, in fact, we had not used it. I bought my Maytag refrigerator Sept. 2013 and now in December, 2014 it is dead. After five visits from Maytag to repair it, they say it will cost $1,200 to repair it. Purchased Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB7749SBW3 in April 2014 along with other Maytag appliances to go into our home in the Georgia Mountains. Purchased Maytag for 2 reasons: 1. American made 2. Reputation. Bottom line, after just 2 years the dishwasher has failed. I prewash by hand everything that goes in. First the normal cycle stopped working. Then lights on front panel would randomly turn on and dishwasher would turn on by itself, and run for hours. I suspect this could be a fire hazard. I have tried front panel resets, cycling power, etc. Nothing works... It is really sad that American products are third world. I will replace the board myself in hopes of getting another couple of years out of it. No more Maytag for me. Rest assured every time I see someone in Home Depot or Lowes, looking at Maytag appliances, I will go out of my way to warn them.

First I would like to thank the salesman who has worked diligently to solve the problem I am having. The first load of dark clothes I washed came out with what looked like lint on them. It has to be scraped off. Yes I am using HE detergent. Yes I am using the minimum amount recommended by the manufacturer. & yes to all the other questions I have asked. The solution was to wash the dark clothes on power wash with an extra rinse. Very energy efficient! This was NOT the answer so I was given a 1-800 # to call. After giving all the necessary information & answering all of the questions about detergent etc. the conversation became a little more in depth. Does it happen with dark clothes? Do you dry your clothes outside or in a drier? It was becoming obvious to me that Maytag is aware of this problem. By this point I was even unhappier as no solutions were being offered. Finally after several would you mind holding the line again for just a minute he said he couldnt tell me to do this but some of his friends add a cup of vinegar to their wash. At this point I told him I was sorry I had ever bought this machine. He then said he would have a technician arrange an appointment. He arrived & declared I was using too much detergent even though by then I was using half on the manufacturers recommended amount. Buying an energy efficient washer where I have to use POWER WASH, EXTRA RINSE, VINEGAR & DRIER is not a good answer for a problem Maytag must be aware of as I read the reviews today. I have just done 2 loads of dark laundry with no detergent & the pants are marked so I WANT AN ANSWER.

I bought a top of the line Maytag commercial washer. We had a number of service calls replacing parts, gear box etc. Then, they finally replaced the machine and all the same issues happened again. They will not take back their machine or refund me my almost $1K paid. The washer squeals when it starts washing and clunks all while agitating - I can hear it upstairs. After yet another service call (#11 now and no salary replacement for me) the result is that Maytag says when the temp in the house is 67 or lower, the parts in their machine expand and contract and will make noise. No fix, no refund oh, and no one you can contact by email in Canada to help. Moral of the story, dont buy Maytag.

This is was my first time experience to purchase Maytag Bravos XL (MWWB835DW) 5.3-cu High Efficiency Washer. I need it fast replacement to my front loader Samsung washer as it was recalled and had mold issues. I was looking for a High Efficient and Star Energy digital, glass top reliable machine. I may say that I was fooled by advertisement and promotion from the Advertisement and promotion from Home Depot. I did not know much about Maytag Brand but I was convinced by sales person and price promotion. Big Mistake! Huge! I am extremely dissatisfied with this washer, it doesn’t use enough water to cover the clothes! No matter which cycle you use, the clothes don’t come clean.I wash and re-wash my clothes and ending up paying huge water and electric bills as I have to use deep hot water wash each time and after rewash again! Not so High Efficient! After using this machine for just over 6 month all my white expensive towels turned gray and all my whites is no longer white. This washer ruin my clothes. Another problem that this machine doesn’t have small load quick wash and if you have a small load it will go through 50 minutes cycle and I still need another wash after all! If I would wash my king size comforter I still have to do it twice and it does NOT rinse all the water out! I thought I can do big load but this machine cannot handle big loads!My laundry days became a nightmare! I would not call this machine High Efficient at all! Company does bogus advertisement just to fool and attract consumers. This is terrible washer which make me think how possibly this machine is on the market and allowed to be sold? I did not notice problem till very late and I missed my 90 days return policy. Now I have to find another replacement. What a waste of money! I do not recommend this machine to my enemy. Absolutely the worst washer we have ever had. Clothes come out smelling and look like they havent been washed. I should have bought a cheap washer, I bet my clothes would have been cleaner. The washer is very aggressive - it will tangle the clothes and actually tear them if they are thin. There is little control with the speed or water temperature or with the amount of water for a load of clothes.

Our Maytag oven (not sure model) in the first year started doing crazy things with the oven computer. The oven would shut off and come back on and the display would be garbled. Also when my girlfriend tried to pull the turkey out, the rack fell off the left side and dumped all the juices into the oven. She almost got burned and there was a lot of smoke. The freakin rack should never fall off! Also our dishwasher is on its second control board. I lived by Mr. Maytag and his airplanes/helicopters at Crest airpark in Covington, WA. I wish I still did. Id like to ask him what he thinks of his crappy products. You get nothing for your money anymore. Im not sure but Ill bet both of my problems with these products have something to do with saving a buck by making this crap in Mexico or some other *** hole. Im just glad Maytag doesnt make airplanes or medical equipment.

Maytag Washer 2016 HE top loader. This washer is horrible to use. I hate everything about it. After your clothes are put into the drum and you close lid to start here is what happens EVEN though I select deep water: it puts small amount of water in and then it agitates the whole big load. This is so stupid! Can you imagine a large load of your clothes agitating with a very small amount of water in the drum?So to get around that problem, you have to push pause button and shut the lid after your soap, softener and then listen until that first amount of water fills and agitates, then you have to push pause and quickly put in your clothes. Then you shut the lid and again push the start button so it will fill with more water. Then if youre lucky in at least an hour your load is finally finished. I hate this washer. My boyfriend bought it and I asked him several times to PLEASE return it. He didnt so now were stuck with it for God knows how long. The one good thing about this is I will know to never buy one of these for my house.

I have had my Maytag Bravo for 5 years now. I originally paid 1800.00 for the set. And yes that is without the tax. Well I also got a warranty. Three years after I purchased my set my dryer stopped drying my clothes. I called the warranty company for a repair man and lo and behold my warranty is over. The repairman came and said that my lint was backed up. He stated that it was a good thing that I called when I did because they have been known to catch on fire. I asked him how is this possible? I check my lint screen and clean it after every load. He stated that the lint falls off the screen and just settles at the bottom of the dryer. And sometimes the dryer will get so hot that it will actually set the lint on fire. He fixed it but now it is back to doing the same thing two short years later. Im thinking that Maytag must know about this now and I am wondering why they havent did a recall on these before someone gets hurt or even worse by trying to do laundry.

I have Maytag dishwasher model # MDB7609AWB2. I purchased it from Sears on 5.30.10. It was installed 3 weeks later. From June 2010 through November 2011, the dishwasher has stopped working 3 times, every 6 months, requiring a service call to fix the electrical /circuit board problems. The aggravation of owning a poorly built machine and inconvenience of waiting for Sears to send a repair person has sealed our decision to stop doing business with Sears and Maytag.

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

I had another Maytag washer. It lasted 21 months. BB got me the BravosXL to replace it. I have had it 6 years. It is a piece of junk. Goes out of balance all the time. We are 2 ladies and don’t have heavy clothes to wash. I am washing now. I have put It through a wash cycle. The soap is still on the clothes. I am on my THIRD rinse cycle and there is still soap on the clothes. And I used less soap. Never again MAYTAG.

I moved into this house and the dishwasher came with it. For an appliance that is over 8 years old it works beautifully. It cleans my dishes well and doesnt leave residue on them. I ran it through a cleaning cycle recently and that has only improved its performance. I recommend dishwashers by Maytag because they last and perform well.

This washing machine is TERRIBLE! If I could give it zero stars I would. It broke right after the first year and has been nothing but trouble since. Agitators has been replaced twice. Clothes do not get clean. Do not buy this machine. When I contacted Maytag with my initial complaints they were not helpful. Please save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand machine.

After one year, this famous Neptune washing machine began to sound so noisy during the spin cycle that neighbors must have thought a 747 was taking off from our house. After researching the web, I found that the main bearing always fails in this machine and there is a new one-man repair industry started up across the US to just replace these bearings. In fact, someone invented a bearing puller just for this problem. I am deeply disappointed that a once fine company would knowingly put out such trash. I am replacing ours with another brand, even though we have used Maytag for 30 years. Customers always determine who wins and who loses in the long run. Bye, Maytag!

We purchased a Maytag bottom-freezer refrigerator MBL2258XES1 from Home Depot on 12/30/2011. Other than being a bit noisy, it functioned without problem for a little over two years after which we noticed water pooling on the floor, just below the left-front corner of the bottom-freezer door. It was shortly thereafter we noticed the large sheet of ice that covered the entire floor of the freezer. Over the past several months I pull out the large towel, my spatula, my meat tenderizer and break up and lift out the ice onto the towel around every two weeks. Thanks Whirlpool/Maytag! At least that Maytag repairman isnt lonely anymore.UPDATED ON 03/18/2015: I called Maytag Customer Service, (800) 344-1274 to discuss remedies for my Maytag/Whirlpool bottom-freezer refrigerator which has a perpetual layer of ice on the floor of the freezer which leaks onto my floor. I was offered a product called Repair Plus One which includes parts and service for this repair and they throw in a 1-year warranty. The cost: $359.95. The representative informed me I only had 24 hours to make up my mind as the offer was time limited. I asked if there were any other remedies available to me and she said none other than a service call.

I will never buy anything made by Maytag again. I just bought this washer 9 months ago and the sensor broke. The repairman said I have to pay $300 for the new part and it will take 3 weeks, then the repair told me many people have this same issue and he wanted to be honest that this always happens to these washers and my best bet is to buy new... I would like to start with, my Mother had always used Maytag washer and dryers. Her machines would last 20 years or more. I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer in 2006, since owning these machines have spent in upwards of $1400 in repairs. Some being flood out of tub, mother board blow out a couple of times as well as various other issues. The biggest problem is the awful smell of our clothes, I must wash clothes multiple times to try and remove these smells. I tried contacting Maytag and they dont want to hear my complaints and push me off to purchasing another washer and dryer. Oh, I will be buying a new washer and dryer it just will not be Maytag. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy another Maytag. This is not the same company my Mother knew and trusted.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 in June 09. The dryer timer has malfunctioned since shortly after purchase, it will add time near the end of the cycle, sometimes as much as an hour or more. We have had factory authorized repair firms (tried several) attempt to fix the problem both during the original warranty and extended warranty periods. They replaced the mother board twice and the moisture sensor on another occasion. All to no avail. Maytag has been worse than useless in the whole situation, and now will do nothing. It seems our only choice is to live with it, keep replacing parts, hasnt helped yet, or buy a new dryer. You can bet it will not be a Maytag!This situation is dangerous, if left unattended when the malfunction occurs the clothes and interior of the dryer get extremely hot. It is a potential fire hazard.

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

I mistakenly purchased the Bravo XL top load washer. I only wish I could give it a zero rating. I have only tried to wash 3 loads of clothes. It is almost beyond belief that anyone could possibly think this could clean anything. My husband actually watched it “work”, and insists I call Maytag because they must have forgot a part! It does nothing but crumple/wad the middle items together and rub them...and only them...together. There is no movement of the outer items until it spins. Maybe Maytag should enlist people who actually do laundry to “test” the items they put their brand on. I know the government and the energy rules have added to the complex problem of buying something as simple as a washing machine...but this piece of junk is almost laughable to watch as it destroys your laundry. I’m almost embarrassed to let anyone know I bought it. Thankfully, I have 30 days in which to return it.

Sometimes the control panel is difficult to work with especially if the wash is paused to add more clothes or detergent. The good things is that the tub is very large so a comforter can be washed and you can control the amount of water depending on the amount of what is being washed. I also like that it doesnt have the big agitator in the middle.

It went bad, then I called a technician who replaced the compressor. After a few months, it broke down again after I had bought new parts for it. I was very dissatisfied with how the refrigerator was built. I spent lots of money on it, and it wasnt worth it.

Maytag MVWC300BW clothes washer makes holes in heavy duty T shirts & sheets. It stretches clothing. We are following directions in loading without success. We are washing everything on the gentle cycle twice to get the clothes clean without destroying them. Today we were stood up for our third service call.

We have had this refrigerator since January 2011. All was OK for 18 months. Then the lid to the deli drawer fell off, the plastic bar that holds the two drawers up broke (weve had to use roof shingles to prop them up) and another one of the plastic pieces crumbled. Now the ice maker wont work and the refrigerator makes a loud ticking noise. There are only two older adults here and we have not treated this appliance roughly. After reading all the complaints on this site, Im wondering if any of it is worth fixing. My GE refrigerator worked for almost 20 years.

In the past 20 years, we purchased a washer, dryer, stove and dishwasher... all Maytag. The washer (purchased 20 years ago) is still functioning well! The other three appliances have all given us trouble and the dryer is no longer with us. Our stainless stove is LOVELY but thats about all its good for. Within 12 months, one of the burners burned out... just beyond its warranty. It has two ovens and 3 years after purchase, neither will hold a constant oven temp and both take an eternity to warm up... although the digital temp on the oven tells me its toasty warm. Recently, the dishwashers control panel wont set properly. An attempt to set it for a normal wash/dry cycle results in rinse only and a 2 hour delay. Make them like you used to, Maytag! Im no longer a customer!!!

My Maytag washing machine is nothing like the ones that my mom used to have. This thing is loud as it click, click clicks through cycles. Being a mechanical engineer, I assume that parts are taking a beating inside that machine to make all that noise. Then comes the wash time on this thing. With water level on auto sensing and one rinse, this machine takes over an hour to do a batch of wash. It literally stops dead for at least a full minute between each cycle then click, click, clicks its way to the next. It does not rinse very well as more often then not there is soap scum on the clothes when the washer finally stops. SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND! Maytag is garbage!

I believe the Maytag Bravo washer and dryer was manufactured so the Maytag man would have something to do once again! Buyers Beware! My $800 washer broke down 1 week after warranty costing me $400 to repair!!! Half the cost of a new one... now the dryer is making horrible noises. I fear calling for repair... or should I just buy a new different one?? My last washer and dryer lasted 30 years!!! Bravo certainly did not have all the kinks out of them before marketing them! The cost is to the consumer who trusted the name! You cannot return a 2 year old appliance! The laundromat would have been less costly than this washer and dryer! Maytag should be made to recall these defective machines or at least repair for free. Do not buy!

I purchased a Quiet Series 300 E71195 dishwasher in 2011. Its about 3.5 yrs old. I guess misery loves company because like so many other complaints on this site my control board died, and Maytag, while saying they care about customer satisfaction, basically said tough luck pal, youre on your own. Sadly I own 3 other newish Maytag appliances. When will these appliances die without support from Maytag? Im not holding my breath. My next step is to complain to the dept of Consumer Affairs and create a page about nefarious Maytag on social media. Avoid the Maytag brand when shopping for appliances. I know I will.

I am online now because we have the same problem. Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old. Watched a video on YouTube how to fix problem and repairman said engineers who created design must have been on drugs. I think hes right. Very common problem. Have to call repairman!!

I bought a Maytag Gas Range in January 2010. In January 2012, the wiring caught fire, and now, the oven is unusable. Maytag was not very helpful in our loss of money and product.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot 2 years ago and the first year I already had problems. The second year there was ice on the bottom freezer I called Maytag. They claim a technician needs to come out but cant tell me how much it is to come out for an estimate. After they come out they tell me how much it was. Everyday I have ice or water from the freezer. I had also purchased my stove which very easily has been all scratched and considering that I hardly ever cook, I figured it would look new for years. I will never buy another Maytag appliance!!!

The washer is making loud noises. I had a repairman out and he said the transmission was shot. This washer is only 7.5 years old and the set I had before lasted 19 years. It also was a Maytag. My mother, sisters and aunts have always stood by Maytags and I am disappointed that this washer being 7.5 years old is shot. The dryer to the set is working great!

Four years ago we upgraded our 20+ year old Maytag washer and dryer to go with a more water efficient model. The old units were working like champs so we upgraded with Maytag assuming it to be equal quality. From the beginning we were not pleased with the washers cleaning ability and now we have electrical problems and a leaking transmission. Our serviceman estimated repairs to be the cost of a new washer. (Im not talking about a Maytag for replacement.) I e-mailed the Maytag company and they basically said Too Bad. Totally disappointed!! Wish we had our old units back.

Purchased this machine to replace the recalled Samsung washer that was exploding. I should have kept my Samsung. I loved it and had no complaints, but since there were reports of it exploding I took the rebate and purchased the Maytag Bravo Nightmare. Everything you have read or will read here is true. I would spend hours, I mean hours trying to do a load of laundry. If the cycle would complete itself, the clothes would be soaking wet, and they never smelled clean. I would try rinsing again and the cycle would start out with 18 minutes and I would return to the machine 1 hour later and it would be still running water and still have 18 minutes or more left. I watched it complete the spin cycle and start the rinse cycle again. We had the service guy out several times - he would call the techs and they would test the machine and say nothing was wrong other than it was off balance. They said I was using the wrong detergent - when proving that I was using an HE detergent, they counseled me on how to lay the laundry into the machine, and said I was using too much laundry detergent. After babysitting this machine for more than a year, and being told by Lowes Customer Service that the techs say there is nothing wrong with the it, I was fed up. I called Lowes and told them to send their techs to my house to do the laundry. I threatened to call for service every week until my extended warranty was exhausted. They finally gave me a merchandise card valued worth the purchase of the machine. Now, I have the painful decision of deciding what to buy next - It wont be a Maytag!

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.
