We have had washer/dryer Bravo Series and been nothing but horror stories. Washer bounces all over room to point hoses come out and flooded my laundry room and foyer and garage. It takes over 1hour 45 minutes to do loads sheets which is 2 sheets 2 pillowcases. The repair man told me that takes that long due to MY sheets are dirty. I have been married 46 years and never heard that ever!!! The dryer is just as bad, takes over hour and half to dry sheets and towels almost 2 hours to dry. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG ANYTHING. The person who said needed hurricane straps to hold washer is something I agree with. Just a horror.

I purchase the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer set 3 1/2 years ago brand new. I figured being a Maytag it would last for a long time but nope I was wrong??? I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase a Maytag product also!

We have a Maxima washer which is about two years old. The tub around the barrel cracked and flooded the laundry room. The repair person said it would cost more to fix than replace. Very unsatisfied. We are trying to deal with the company but not optimistic.

I have the same complaint as everyone else. I have had my dishwasher since April 2013. Less than 9 months after having it the control panel went out and they came and replaced it. Now June 2015, 2 years and 2 months after purchasing and a year and a half after the control panel was replaced, none of the buttons work except the cancel button. How is it that these machines, as expensive as they are, crap out after 2 years! Such a waste on money!! Maytag has lost my business forever!!

Bought a Maytag bottom door refrigerator/freezer about 3 years ago and within 6 months had the bottom drawer ice freeze issue that is so common all over the internet. Today is the THIRD ** time Ive had to take this piece of crap product apart and clear the ice. For all of you who have contacted Maytag in the past... Ill bet you got the same response I did when the fridge was new. They claim there are NO KNOWN ISSUES. They actually told me they had NO RECORD of previous complaints with this issue. MAYTAG SUCKS! I wouldnt take a free appliance from them. Worst customer service possible and they take no responsibility for their ** design and problems. There should be a class action suit for this issue. IF ANYONE IS EVEN CONSIDERING A MAYTAG APPLIANCE... Do yourself a favor and think twice.

After 1.5 years, our Maytag bottom freezer ref has started leaking water on the floor. There is a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer, and ice in the slots on the back wall. This sounds like a frozen moisture drain. This seems to be a common problem. There should be a recall.

My new Maytag washing machine does NOT CLEAN clothes or anything else. Waste of money. I have soft water, use bleach, hot water, Tide. I have even tried adding some baking soda. No use. I cannot wait until I can find a washing machine that works.

At first you think wow Maytag. Have heard was the best washer. WRONG. Clothes come out dry in spots. Not washing like it should. Whoever came up with this water saver and no agitator was crazy. Clothes dont get washed properly. Give me an old school washer to where my clothes get clean. When you have to wash clothes twice makes your power bill soar through the roof. NOT GOOD MAYTAG. NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Clothes are never submerged in water. Clothes come out worse than when they went in. Every review and complaint mentioned is dead on! This Bravos XL is a piece of crap. Stay away from lying salesmen from HH Gregg. And stay away from Maytag. Perhaps we should all get together and file a class action lawsuit! And donate all monies, washing machines and dingy clothes to charity!

We purchased our double free standing gas range about 6 years ago. Our top oven went out about 4 years after purchase. We purchased the extended warranty from Sears and it was fixed at no charge. About a year later, the top oven would not work again. We called Sears, our warranty was up so it would be a repair that we would have to pay for. We decided to go with the Maytag repair service since it is a Maytag appliance and we had to pay anyway. The repairman came in and said that the top box that holds the electronic in it had fried wires and it would have to be replaced. So for $480, he could replace it. It was more than likely caused by a power surge. I just read that this also coincidentally happened to someone else so I find this cause to ask more questions. I also note that the top of the oven behind the burners where there is some sort of vent gets extremely hot (I accidentally touched it and had a blister the next day) when the oven is being operated. This is directly under the box that holds the electronic components. I would think that may have something to do with the wires frying since it is that hot directly below the panel. Could this be a defect in the building of the stove? Has anyone else had this instance beside the one person that I read about on your website?

I bought a new Maytag French door refrigerator a few years ago and have been disappointed ever since. The quality is second rate and now the ice maker has failed. The product looks good but performs poorly. Buy a more quality foreign made product instead. Before this I had an LG which was quieter and never had a problem after 10 years.

I bought a Maytag Bravo washer and dryer 18 months ago. While taking clothes out of my washer, I noticed that the plastic collar above the washtub was shredding around the edges. I called the manufacturer about it. Because it was more than 12 months old, they refused to do anything about it. I feel that shouldnt happen so soon after purchase. Im a single person and dont do that much laundry. The piece should be made of something more durable. I will never buy another Maytag product. Is there anything further I can do to pursue this?

I paid $512.00. 5-09 Bob Millers Appliance replaced the door because it bubbled. 10-11 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 3-12 Bob Miller appliance replace the door because the handle broke off. 10-16 Door handle broke off again under normal wear and tear. 12/14/16 I went to Bob Millers Appliances and was told to contact Whirlpool. 12/16/16 I called Whirlpool, Tina said, yes it is excessive but it is not under warranty and they do not make the microwave any longer and they cant do anything to repair it and they can not fix the issue. I find it how to believe Im the only person who has had this issue. I dont have kids. Its only me that uses it.

I paid $958 + tax for a Maytag Bravos washing machine in August 2008. I live by myself, so the machine is not overused. Nevertheless, it began to sound like a jet airplane during the spin cycle. And then in May of 2012, it failed with error code F51, catastrophic failure. The machine was not even four years old. I called a certified Maytag repairman. In less than 5 minutes, he told me the cost to repair would be about $900, and then he charged $115 for the service call! A call to Maytag resulted in Im sorry, there is nothing we can do.

I saw something on your website about Maytag Neptune class action suit back in late 2005. I have owned one, never was notified of the settlement, and saw this since I have a mildew problem also in my washer. They are not willing to do anything about the repair on my machine, but send out someone and make me pay for it. Since I bought it in 2002, I would want to know why was I not included in the repairs and why wont they honor me in this since I am the machines original owner. Help, I worry that I am not having clean clothes and it is contributing to illness due to mold spores!

I bought Bravos xl. I hate it! Everything about it. It does not get my clothes clean and it ties load in knots therefore being off balance constantly.

I was having similar issues with my Maytag model MD dishwasher. The unit was operating, and then the start/resume light began flashing. Didnt think much about it since the machine continued to run. But the machine wouldnt cycle off, or rinse or dry. It continued to run, with the start/resume light flashing. When I opened the door and hit cancel, the unit turned off. Several minutes later, the normal light and heated dry lights came on, and soon after, the unit started up by itself (Twilight Zone music is going off in my head). I let it continue to see what it was going to do. It ran, and ran, and ran some more. I stopped it and secured the power to it, left the power off for a very long time. Started it up, no joy.I began reading the blogs sent in by other frustrated Maytag owners, we are numerous. I went back and re-read some of the posts that dealt with resetting the control panel. The one that mentioned; press Hi Temp. then Start/Resume about 3 times consecutively, that did the trick. Thank you for that useful piece of info. Saved me 143.00 plus tax and shipping for the new control panel (for now). I found some very helpful MOs (Maytag owners). I also found something very frustrating, with so many unhappy customers dealing with the similar issue. I would think that Maytag would put out a technical alert that deals with these problems. Instead, we get these so-called Maytag experts that magically appear on your computer screen. They ask you, what seems to be the problem. So after I described the issue, I asked the Pro, how to prove that the issue is with the control panel, or the elect. control board, both parts are 143.00 ea. (Just trying to limit my pain.) They send me to a page that wants to charge me 28.00 for the answer. What an insult. We pay 500-800 dollars for these units that should last more than 4 yrs. and some doofus is charging you for answers that saves you the consumer money and frustration. I, like many in the Maytag blog, will never purchase a Maytag product again.

Like many of the other complaints, control panel lights up but dishwasher will not start. It has had minimal use and is less than two years old. For a product purchased for around $800, it should have lasted far longer. Repairs will cost close to the cost of replacing entire unit. Do not buy Maytag. Their reputation is ruined in my eyes.

My husband bought me a brand new Bravo Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2010. In May of 2011, we moved and the dryer hookup was electric instead of gas. My husband knew how much I love the dryer, so he surprised me with another Bravo dryer to match the washer. We put the other dryer in storage and were happy with our purchase until April. In April 2012, the dryer stopped working. It wouldnt dry the clothes at all, and every time we tried to dry, the dryer was filled with wet lint. We were only a week away from moving again, so we waited until we got to the new house. The new house had gas hookups. So, we put the dryer that didnt work in storage and were thankful we didnt get rid of the other dryer. Now, just a few months later, the gas dryer isnt drying and is having the same issues as the electric dryer. How very disappointing! Both dryers are broken now, and it has only been 2 years. Each dryer has gotten about a year of use and then both quit. My husband, I and my two-year-old dont do that much laundry to break 2 dryers. My old GE washer and dryer lasted for years and is still working. We gave them to my husbands aunt who uses them and loves them. I agree someone should start a class action against Maytag. These issues are ridiculous!

Absolutely the worst washer I have ever had. I have read some of the other reviews, wish I was smarter and checked this out before spending my hard earned money to buy this washer. My washer also is rusting at the top where the bleach goes. I never close the lid when not in use my basement is dry AND I never use bleach??? My clothes come out they are a tangled up mess. When I go to hang them they are partly dry. It isnt as though I stuff the washer NEVER put more than 8 shirts in at a time yet they all come out with dry streaks like that part of the clothing never even got wet. We all know what happens when you leave a tissue in your pocket and it goes through the washer... Well not with this washer the tissue sometimes came out as dry as it went in. HORRIBLE product. I want the old agitator/I SET THE WATER LEVEL type back. It takes forever to get laundry done. They should take these OFF the market and give us poor consumers some cash back.

We purchased the Maytag MDB8959SAS0 dishwasher about 2.5 years ago. A couple of days ago, the lights on the control panel started blinking and beeping erratically. I contacted Maytag and they said the control board likely needs to be replaced to the tune of around $250, not including labor! We spent $800 on this dishwasher and it cant even last 3 years?? Ridiculous. The only other advice the service rep. had was that we should have bought the extended warranty. Gee, thanks. I guess with Maytag, you really DO need that extended warranty because their products are junk. I think I will just scrap this dishwasher and go with a Bosch. We also have a Maytag range that needed servicing after owning it for only 18 mos. And a Maytag dryer that needed servicing after a month (at least that was under warranty). I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again... they are complete junk.

How is this fair that only a couple of washers recalled...I knew of no recalls either...My old Kenmore top loader outdated by far. Guess I should have kept it.

WOW, I cant believe a group of educated professionals made, tested, and approved such a washing machine. What a piece of crap. I could put my clothes in a bathtub and let the kids jump up and down on them and they would come out cleaner. I would love to have a heart to heart talk with the engineers who designed this, to ask, What were you thinking. What a waste of money, and a once good company, that will soon be going out of business.

Bravos x - Ok so I was checking on my washing machine balance which is off. I came across the reviews and find how horrible the machine is! Grinding at last cycle, and not wringing out clothes on some loads. I thought grinding and wringing out was to be that way since it did it from day one. I thought I just needed to adjust clothes to wring out. Balance was taking out some clothes but it was put in properly. Boy was I wrong. Im so pissed after reading all your reviews. Im going to contact my daughters who works for attorneys about false advertisement and selling something they know is crap.

This happens to be a commercial one - I dont know why; the landlord bought it. It will not do just 1 or 2 items. I would need this for when I have a very muddy towel from the dog & dont want to put anything else in with it; or with a newly purchased item that I want to wash by itself. It gets stuck on the wash cycle & will not continue. Then I have an item(s) that is soaking wet, which I dont want to put into the dryer. And in the winter, I cant put it outside. I did an online chat about this & was told not to just put one or 2 items in the washer. What??? Im 68 years old; have been doing wash for well over 50 years & have NEVER had this problem. I dont know if this applies to all Maytags since this is the only one Ive ever had, but I would definitely not recommend this product!!!

We have a purchased a Maytag two door refrigerator a few years ago despite my wifes repeated request not to buy any Maytag product. We had a bad experience with another Maytag product in the past. Now like many others we are experiencing the horrible nightmare of getting a water leakage from time to time that floods our tiled floor and it is getting worse and causing damage to floor and other kitchen cabinets that are anchored to the floor. We had a certified technician who suggested us to thaw the freeze and then reconnect it back. We did what we were told but that did not fix the problem. My wife found out that there had been 913 complaints from consumers on Maytag refrigerators. Why Consumer Affairs is doing nothing about it and why there is not a recall of Maytag refrigerators. We will never buy another Maytag product nor will we recommend others to buy. Enough is enough being discontent.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher (model MDB7609AWW2) on November 14th, 2009 from a local appliance shop in White Plains, NY. Total purchase price was $449, not including tax.Sometime in November of 2011, the unit stopped working. I tried every simple test I could think of to hopefully reset the unit. Finishing the obvious checks, I researched some possible problems on the internet latch micro switch, drainage problem, dirty latch, etc. Frustrated as nothing got it working again, I called a repairman recommended to us by the appliance store.The repairman charged me $75 for the visit just to tell me that the control board is shot. Even worse, and this is the reason for this letter, the part costs $329 plus $40 in labor! That is outrageous! If you do the math, I am facing the costs of a brand new unit to fix the old one. That might make sense if the unit was 8 years old but it is barely 2.I have sat on the decision now for a few days as I am beyond upset and I never make good decisions when I feel like this. But to recap, Maytag manufactures an appliance where its basic function - turning on - fails in 2 years and the repair cost essentially totals (to use insurance parlance) the unit. I find this absolutely unacceptable.I don’t expect Maytag to do anything for me. But I will say this; I plan on letting everyone I know just how this experience went. To make things worse, I am willing to pay for a quality unit but how does anyone know what that is anymore? For color, my grandmother has a KitchenAid dishwasher from the 1970s that is still running fine. No membrane controls, no delay functions or fancy BS super sanitary cycles and guess what, it has no control board, just plain old dials and buttons. Imagine that mechanical control? Built to last unlike the junk you see today.To remedy, I plan on picking up a used machine from the classifieds. I’ll install it myself and be able to do this for 9 years at $449, assuming it only lasts one year (I’m finding these units for $50 used). I may get lucky and find an old one from the 70s that will last a lot longer than that.

Our Maytag microwave MMV4205FZ-0 has the same ubiquitous problem as so many reviewers have mentioned. The microwave refuses to turn on (always at the most inopportune moments--like when the entire family is over for dinner. It doesnt matter how many times you open and close the door, it will often refuse to start. I think the worst part about this situation is that there are so many reviewers experiencing the exact same problem. Imagine how many havent posted a review. Doesnt it seem as though a rethinking of the door switch would have been in order long ago along with a recall? The fact that hasnt happened after so long and so many customers who are disappointed in their purchase is a sad commentary.

Bought a new home in July of 2016 and the builder had included a Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. They are THE WORST performing appliances I have ever used! I will replace as soon as I have the means to do so. DO NOT PURCHASE the Maytag Bravos XL appliances. The engineers that designed them should be fired! The washing machine makes an incredibly loud noise (like an old starter grinding in a 50s car). Im told that this is normal for the machine. Does NOT clean well and leaves soap spots on dark clothes... leaves them on light clothes but I cannot see them. Whites come out dingy even with bleach. The tub is so deep that I have to use tongs to get out smaller items, I am 53 tall and have never had this issue before. Soap dispenser drawer wont stay closed during wash cycle. Clothes are so badly tangled during the wash cycle that it is hard to describe the wrinkled mess that has to go into the dryer.Dryer issues: Very loud. Very wobbly and unstable, and yes, it has been leveled 3 times. Bed linens have to be separated at least 3 times during the drying cycles because they twist and wad up into big, wet knots of cloth. Infuriating!!! Dry time is very long unless you wish to cook your clothes. So disappointed in this product. Total rubbish!!

The way the side by side fridge/freezer is built contributed to several injuries. I am 60 tall and of normal size, and accessing anything in the side doors lower down always results in smashed head, near bleeding injuries. I am so sick and tired of it. No other fridge has done this to me. Add that to the shelves being near razor sharp. One of these days this fridge is going to land me in the hospital with a lawsuit. Most people are not 3 feet tall or 8 feet tall, thats the only way to use this fridge safely!

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. This is not cosmetic feature like the outside stainless steel finish or the black trim decor. The inside doesnt look pretty. It is a function. See the photos below. Whirlpool Range Item # 805150. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago through Home Depot and did not purchase the extended warranty. The start button has stopped working and is not lighting up. I was referred by Pacific Sales, the appliance sales company at Home Depot, directly to Maytag to schedule repairs which I am willing to pay for. After a nearly hour long call between hold times and conversations I was told the service would be scheduled for Thursday or Friday of this week. As we were scheduling the appointment, I was told the computer for scheduling had gone down and to call the next day to schedule. I called next day and spoke with a customer service rep who said there was no record of my call the day before. I gave her all of my information, then she transferred me to another service person who then had no record of my two prior conversations. After giving my info to the this 3rd customer service representative, I learned that a repair could not be scheduled for over a week. I asked to speak with someone about my complaints and was told there was no one I could speak with but that she would pass on the complaint. I asked for a return call or email to confirm that my complaint was received and she said that I would not get that. I then asked for a free service call because of their poor customer service. This was of course denied. The dishwasher has been fine for the short period of time I have owned it but I wont buy another Maytag because of their poor customer service and because the dishwasher has a problem in less than two years. I am just writing this as a warning for other potential Maytag customers.

We purchased the Maytag double oven 30 inch 5 burner, stainless steel, model MGT8885XS. Oven worked good for six weeks. The igniter broke in the bottom oven and when the third party non-Maytag repairman came out to fix it, he was unable to remove the bottom oven door. It is not flush and heat escapes when the bottom oven is on and it causes the top oven to get condensation. The repair man was directed from a technician from Whirlpool that he had to order a new seal and hinges. I dont want it fixed. I want a new one. I have called Customer Service for Whirlpool and the third party and the store in which I bought it from and everyone is pushing it off onto someone else. Customer service is poor and stated they will only fix the oven and will not send us a new oven. We sent our rebate in the mail which was to arrive within 8 weeks and we have yet to receive it. Very poor customer service. Glad I purchased the 4 year warranty. I will never buy Maytag again.

I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

The washer is only three years old and the control panel has failed. We are unable to select wash cycles. It defaults to Auto Clean/Heated Dry only. The washer has been lightly used.An online search found numerous complaints for control panel problems with this Maytag dishwasher. Please check ConsumerAffairs, Amazon, or Maytags own Facebook (Maytag was forced to create the Facebook page in 2010 under a mandate from the Consumer Product Safety Commission after a recall of dishwashers for fire hazards) before making any decision to buy a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance. It would also be wise to purchase an extended warranty.Our Whirlpool clothes washer failed after 5 years (bearings + controls). We cant afford to replace a major appliance every three to five years. The estimated cost to repair the dishwasher is $300 - $400. Maytag/Whirlpool customer service is indifferent to helping its customers. Its disappointing to see a made in America company produce such poor quality products and not support them.

Clothes do not turn over in the wash cycle. The clothes at the bottom get plenty of hard scrubbing from the agitator but the ones at the top barely get wet and never move down to the bottom. Insufficient amount of water enters the tub. The repairman says the washer is working as designed. Neither Maytag or Lowes will take back the washer. Worst appliance Ive ever owned. Bummer!

The machine dries out the clothes so tight that they are full of wrinkles. I am so dissatisfied with this machine, I spent almost $600.00 for this and this is what I get. I also end up with fabric softener all over the clothes. I use the Downy Ball and I just took out my black pants to find blue all over them. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased the machine. They said to get a hold of you. All I want is get a different machine, not an HE. This is beyond anything. Someone should have to put up with, can you help me?

After less than 3 years the interior lip of the machine is rusting. I found this when I was cleaning the interior of the machine because my white clothes were coming out with black soot on them. I can estimate that bleach was used in the dispenser 3-4 times tops over these 3 years. Very disappointed in the equipment. Ive submitted a complaint to Maytag with hopes of a favorable response. This should not be a warranty item...its defective design.

We have a bottom freezer Maytag refrigerator and after 2 years normal use it started leaking water onto the floor every day. After researching this problem I see that it is a widespread issue originating from an engineering mistake. I spent a weekend afternoon taking apart the freezer, clearing the frozen drain line, and putting it all back together. Im assuming this will keep happening every so often since it is a Design Flaw! Do yourself a favor and avoid Maytag!

I bought a top of the line Maytag commercial washer. We had a number of service calls replacing parts, gear box etc. Then, they finally replaced the machine and all the same issues happened again. They will not take back their machine or refund me my almost $1K paid. The washer squeals when it starts washing and clunks all while agitating - I can hear it upstairs. After yet another service call (#11 now and no salary replacement for me) the result is that Maytag says when the temp in the house is 67 or lower, the parts in their machine expand and contract and will make noise. No fix, no refund oh, and no one you can contact by email in Canada to help. Moral of the story, dont buy Maytag.

Maytag Washer over 3 years old. Often problematic not functioning smoothly! Maytag invented this defective machine to intentionally rob the customer with all the probs that comes with it - poor design & quality, & not logistically programmed! Even aftercare/customer service SUCKS!!! Now, sensor spinning option is no longer working, drum not operational. No more Maytag!!!

Well Maytag, shame on you! I just called customer service about the third repair made on my Maytag 4000 Series Washing Machine; its only two years old. The rep side stepped the limited warranty that is good for five years on the motor and tried to sell me another warranty for $329.00. I have $460.00 (parts only) in repairs. Purchasing a warranty will have me spending more money than I actually paid for it. The excuse that I was given was (per quote) our machines are made by people and we have no way of determining the outcome of our products past the given warranty. Maybe you should have considered buying the extended warranty that was offered at the time of purchase. Yeah, maybe I should have, but Maytag should build a product that consumers are happy with, and extended warranty sales past a longer period of time might make more sense. If you are thinking about purchasing any Maytag appliance, I would think twice or you just might get some person on the other end of the line that just doesnt care, representing the name of Maytag! I visit the Big Box Stores daily and you can bet your tail that I will make a special visit to the appliance section just to discourage any one from making the same mistake I did! Just think, the last washing machine that I purchased lasted for 9 years (not one issue) and it was still working when I gave it to someone in need! I have three appliances in my kitchen that are 11 years old, never had one problem with either one. Thank You KitchenAid! I should have purchased your washer and dryers!

I purchased this machine (Maytag Bravos XL MVWX700XL2 ) about 18 months ago. I was so excited with the looks and the reviews I found on the machine at that time. For the first 14 months I was happy. All of a sudden, it has become the washer from Hades! It twists and almost ruins my clothing. Not to mention, I think it is permanent wrinkles that it puts into things. I washed our comforter on Bulky. The part that must have been at the bottom is completely wrinkled and it also wrecked all of the fill. This was a comforter that it is supposed to be fine to put in the washer. I am attaching pictures in which you can almost plainly see where the comforter was at the bottom. I had a serviceman out a few weeks ago. He said Maytag knows that there is a problem, however, there is no service bulletin that is out yet on it. In addition, he ran all of the codes and told me there is nothing wrong with my machine. That must be why I have to iron almost every piece of clothing in this house. Maytag will hopefully give me decent customer service on this, or I will come unglued. For the price of this washing machine, I expected much more.

Need to keep cleaning washer otherwise it leaves white marks on clothes. I used vinegar but that didnt help. Used the wash cycle and that didnt help. I found a washer cleaner and it works great. Overall performance of washer is fine but I would be hesitant on purchasing another Maytag Bravo washer only for this reason.

Purchased my appliance at Lowes in 2012. I have had at least 8 service calls, the unit has NEVER worked as designed. Water leaks inside and out. The ice maker door heater had to be replaced. Fan Motors have gone out on it, broken water tubes. The temperature wont stay consistent, it freezes my refrigerator items, ruptures beverage bottles and cans. This once quiet unit is 3 times as loud than when I bought it. I am so frustrated!!!What a value $2,000 for the appliance, $700 out of pocket for repairs to date, $$ in lost food items, $$ in my time to clean the mildew, water, exploded beverages, cant put a $$ on the embarrassment when family/friends use. What is the potential danger to myself and family when the mildew is in the unit and water leaks into open refrigerator items? I just had an astonishing phone call with Maytag customer service (1-800-344-1274). My mind is boggled; my tongue is tied. I live in California, and like millions of others, Im curious as to what the maximum amount of water used per wash might be. I told the customer service agent that Id be happy with an estimate of any parameter: the maximum water demand for any cycle, the minimum, the average any ballpark estimate would be great! My goal is to change in a meaningful way our weekly water use. How much does it matter if I do my familys laundry once vs. twice per week? Is it any more water-efficient to run one large load vs. two small ones? The Customer Service agents would offer only a scripted response to my query. Could they tell me the minimum or maximum amount of water used (on average) by any of the cycles? Any cycle any condition, just an estimate, please. A universal it depends was all I could extract.The scripted answer? The amount of water used depends on the sensor and the exact conditions. Well, yes, of course; I dont expect a specific amount. Just as the amount of gas used by a car depends on the length of a trip and the speed driven, the amount of water used per cycle will vary, but nevertheless we know, more or less, how much gas is used by a Toyota Camry on a trip between New York and the Maytag Customer Service office in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I noted that, if Maytag claims to build high efficiency (HE) machines, then they must be HE in comparison to something, right? -- otherwise how could they claim that these machines used less water? Less than... what?** insisted that no one at Maytag could tell me the answer. He asked, What reason could Maytag have not to disclose this information? I know this isnt the answer you want to hear, but its simply not available. Not even a range of water use per cycle required/solicited/demanded by the sensor? Can Maytags engineers be so indifferent that they never tested any cycle for its water use, but instead they just imagine that, by virtue of its mysterious sensor, it was lower than the use by their non-efficient machines? First failed after 16 months. Second twice in 15 months. They are lucky to last 16-24 months. Stupid for a microwave that normally last 5 plus years for every other brand I ever bought.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos Automatic Washer 6/28/09. The interior enamel around the bleach dispenser started rusting about six months ago and it’s getting worse. Our white clothes are getting rust stains on them. Otherwise the machine works well, but what a huge flaw. We will buy a new machine, but not a Maytag.

Washer would stop right after it started. I googled the problem and found out it was a bad lock. These Bravo XL units were purchased in 2015. Called an appliance repair and they charged me $250 to replace the lock (service call was $98.00 and labor was $90). The repairman left and I started the washer. There was a loud sound coming from it. I called the repairman back and he said it was the gear case and basket. He said the basket was covered under the warranty but the gear case wasnt. Would be about $750 to fix....no way was I paying the cost of a new washer to fix this less than 4 yr old one. I called Maytag. They couldnt help me. I should have purchased an extended warranty they said. The cost to purchase the extended warranty is now $394.00 per year....please do not purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool appliance unless you like buying extended warranties.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Cookeville TN. In 2018. After a year it quit. The service man from the authorized dealer in Cookeville could not repair it. After numerous calls Maytag sent a service man to repair it, this took about three weeks. This washer is a Maytag industrial, it has a 5 year parts and labor warranty, and 10 years on the motors. Now it is out again, after calling Maytag, and holding on the line for an hour, finally I had to chat with someone, and they set up an appointment for about 3 days. So service company call now and says it will be another week before they can sent someone to look at it, and another week to get the parts. They also questioned my warranty. I gave high dollar for this washer, what’s happened to Maytag?

Updated on 02/13/2021: Maytag stove purchased 15 years ago for about $500. Replaced mother board about 5 years ago which wasnt cheap, but otherwise, stove has performed with no problems and still looks and behaves like a new stove.Original review: Our 6-7 year old well cared for Maytag range oven recently stopped working. After a service call for diagnostics, it was determined the electronic module controlling the clock and all oven functions was dead. We were told by the Maytag service tech the module cost was 300$. That cost plus labor for less than an hour, plus the 60$ diagnostic visit came to almost 500$ which is close to cost of a new stove. The technician answered yes to my question, Do you replace a lot of these? He also said the cause may be power fluctuations making me think that surely there is a way to prevent this kind of failure. So, since the price seemed exorbitant, I wrote Maytag to inquire about causation/prevention, etc. I received a fairly prompt and polite reply with totally no explanation. I wrote another email with relatively the same results. I dont recommend buying an electronically controlled Maytag stove.

I purchased a top load Maytag washer the spring of 2019. My clothes come out partially dry, with a film/residue, and debris left on them. I was told that they use considerably less water; however there is not sufficient water to wash away small amounts of anything left on clothes. I have contacted Maytag 3 different times. Each time my concerns have been dismissed. The only solid advice they gave me was to use less soap, which hasnt changed anything. They also told me to clean my clothes before I put them in the washer (we have no children at home; Im not talking about really dirty loads). They told me there was nothing they could do, and I was just stuck with the washer. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and the Maytag service. I would not recommend their washer or their service. The dryer works just fine.

I bought this washing machine 2 years ago or so. We have always bought Maytag. My mother still has hers she bought over 25 years ago and it still looks and works great. So my wife wanted a new washing machine so I said were going to get another Maytag. Boy did I screw up. What a piece of ** junk. Sounds like its grinding gears all the time, so loud. I close the door in the wash room and I can still hear my investment on a Maytag grinding my nerves because I spent so much on a product of a brand Maytag that I thought would be around for a while. Do not buy a Maytag.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator about 3 years and have had so much trouble. The freezer section which is on the bottom half leaks water periodically on the floor unless, we take the bottom rack out and pry the ice from the shelf about every week. It started doing this about 6 months ago and well need to get a repair man out here. The doors on the refrigerator are also a problem. They often dont close properly, so one is partially open, but unless you look directly at it, it isnt noticeable.

Love my Maytag washer! It is great to have a clear lid so I can see the clothes being washed. Not only the features, it really cleans my clothes. I was surprised at the stains that are removed just from washing them!

I had one set of Maytag washer and dryer and I loved it. I bought another set and hate it. The washer smells and has been fixed a couple of times and the dryer is bad. I had to have a drum replaced because of one of the bars inside. I paid for the insurance but the bar was considered cosmetic. It has fallen off again after about 2 years and Im sick of it. I will never buy another Maytag again. Repairman, of course, had to order the drum and then I had to take another day off work to be here when it was delivered and one more to wait for him to come. I am so unhappy with this brand - never again.

Purchased the Maytag Bravo Nov 2010 and had to replace it after just 5 years. In the five years we owned it, it required a new water pump and the stabilizers had to be repaired. Its motor burned up and I was not able to find a replacement. I was quoted $224 (parts only) for a replacement motor and 10 weeks delivery. My wife never liked the machine as it was not able to clean clothes that well. We did not find much difference in any of the settings. We tended to put very few clothes in each load in order to get them clean. We were dissatisfied that it did not have a soak cycle and the lid lock was particularly annoying.

The cost was right for the quality of the product. Brand was also a factor. We have had no problems either machine, both work as expected and have fully met our expectations. We recommend these products. Energy efficiency, ease of use and capacity were all considerations in making the selection we made. Maytag continues to hold a good reputation. Regular repairs, low quality construction and a cheap finish which looks tacky and is also difficult to clean would each be deal breakers. We purchased our full-sized, side by side Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer gently used from a private party who needed to obtain different models due to a remodel of their laundry/utility room. We paid about $600 for the pair.

We have had the same problem as everyone else. We have the freezer on the bottom model. It started when the fridge was less than a year old, with water on the floor and ice buildup on the bottom of the freezer. Since then we have needed to have same repairman come at least 4 times because the top part suddenly gets very warm, food spoils, and water accumulates under the produce drawers. Our repairman has told us that newer models have improved design, but that doesnt help us. This fridge is now about 3 years old, bought it at Home Depot. This is unacceptable.

Well anyway it was a Centennial set. What junk. Never really worked that well to begin with. I trashed them both after exhausting all avenues to make it right. Well I got the hair to report the mess to consumer affairs and see if they are what they claim to be. This is more of a warning to all consumers.The stuff you consume today isnt worth the money you pay for it. The money isnt worth the time you spent to earn it. I am gonna try to find a old washer and rebuild it, and a dryer as well. Or just use solar. Best to keep the old stuff repaired and running. It was a computer operated board that did not work correctly from the beginning. The dude came out from the repair shop and fixed it while still under warranty. A week after warranty expired, our 1 year old Maytag gas range (model# MGR7662WS 4) required new Direct Spark Ignitor (DSI) board. Knowing it was just beyond warranty, I inspected wiring first and found that the Bake connector on the DSI was loose, flopping around from a bad solder point on the board. Called Maytag and informed them of this manufacturers defect and all they offered was a $20 discount on a replacement part ($220 instead of $240). It worked with new part for 4 days, then something else went bad causing oven to spark, light, heat to less than 100 degrees, then shut down, then restart, then shut down, then restart, then stop doing anything. It has never worked correctly since then. How can a manufacturer of almost all domestic brands get away with such shoddy workmanship.. Taking advantage of defective or poor quality parts to sell more of the same when they fail and for an enormous markup? Where are the regulators who oversee monopolies and blatant scamming of American consumers?

How can any company with a reputation that we all have grown up with MAYTAG pull such a DESPICABLE act on its customers of 20, 30, 40 plus years ??? $500+ repairs for each of 2 boards in nothing better than a BOAT ANCHOR... Bought a Maytag dishwasher model MDB7749AWM2 on 02 Jan 2012 with no issues whatsoever until three days ago when it stopped working altogether and after doing a series of tests I discovered that Im joining a large and growing list of owners with the same problem. I never have been a fan of digital controls due to their vulnerability to temperature and humidity conditions or high impacts for that matter. Ive owned many dishwashers of various brands for upwards of 10 years on average each. This is the first one not equipped with analog/mechanical controls. Im hoping I can still find more of that type.

I would not recommend the Maytag washer with the large tub. It does not clean your clothes. I called Maytag and they do not care as long as it uses as little water as possible! Not a good value for the money!! That was the first time and last time I buy a Maytag... Thats the last $5000 they will get from us!

Bought this Maytag microwave mmv 4205ds March 2016. Have had open/close problems five times in 3 years. Unit replaced under warranty once. Now out of warranty. No need to mention inconveniences we’ve been through. Whirlpool-Maytag obviously have done nothing to correct this problem. I will never buy any of their product again. Wanted to give them ‘0’ stars but program won’t allow me.

I have had nothing but headaches with our washer. We purchased it 4 years ago and after using it for a few months, I took it out because our clothes came out smelly and unclean. Called Maytag and they did nothing. So we went back to a regular washing machine and put this machine in the corner of the basement. I refused to throw away a $1,100.00 machine! So this year our machine quit, so we decided to try using the machine again to save us some money instead of buying another one... Well, that lasted for only a short time. Clothes still smell, came out unclean and just yesterday, the machine stopped rinsing and spinning! This machine has barely been used and its been nothing but trouble. Maytag service just plain sucks. They dont care about their consumers. I will never buy a Maytag again and I always let everyone I know to not buy this type of machine.

This is the worse washer... As many other have complained I have the same problems. This washer it will not fill with water ever. It doesn’t rinse clothes or clean them as I’m use to the old washers doing. From day one I noticed the water does not fill in the tub and wondered how can the clothes be getting cleaned properly. Getting a F51 code and after going on YouTube and checking for problems it seems to say the same code after it works for a bit. This is the worse appliance I have ever purchased. I am so frustrated and will never purchase a Maytag anything again. Never did in the past up to this one and never will after this one.

It has all the features we like and use every day. Timer, lights, fan, built-in Above stove, use minutes or preprogrammed Turntable, quiet, white in color, easy cleaning. Easy to replace filter and light.

The dishwasher stopped working. The lights on left side of control panel arent working; so, machine wont start. Then machine was purchased in January 2010 for $525 and not including installation. Kim says it will cost $129 for their repairman to come look at it. I wished I had read the list of complaints on your site first.

It looks big, but is small inside. Its hard to put in several large items. The water filter broke and too expensive to fix. I like the double doors and ice maker. I dont like the freezer drawer. It wont stay open to clean.

Hate my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer. It takes well over an hour per load. Clothes come out very wrinkled, and my knits get holes very quickly. Never buy from Maytag. I and my daughter bought from them two refrigerators of them. After one month my daughter started to fix. I am started after one year or it is leaking. Our freezer destroyed and realize this after one day all my food I throw away. The same was with my daughter refrigerator. My daughter have old refrigerator it is working without problem for 50 year never fixed. Never ever buy from them anything. It is good I was at home. Sometimes I am traveling if it happens this time. I do not want to think about this. For fixing you have to pay lot of money. I hate that I purchased something with them.

Nobody seems to know how to replace this part online. I have discovered what a POS this Maytag MGDC700VWO dryer is. The ONLY way to access this part is to beat an access hole in the bottom-left panel. After the repair, you are left with a nice 4 hole??? What an absolute POS! The back panel has screws but after removing them, I discovered the panel is also tack-welded! This is beyond stupid! Maytag used to be a great product before they were obviously sold to the Yugo factory. Time to move on.

This Maytag dishwasher has been really dependable, looks really nice, is really quiet, we have absolutely no complaints. I hope it lasts as long as I suspect it will. Would highly recommend this dishwasher.

It took about a year for the problem, which turns out to be an extremely common problem, to start. The build up of water in the freezer due to the clogging drain. Maytag needs to step up for the consumers that purchased their defective product. I have cleared the ice and tried to clear the drain three times only to have the problem return. I refuse to pay someone $300 or more to repair this. This is crazy and unfair!

I have bought 2 high end top loader models (Maytag centennial commercial), brand new both from Home Depot. The problem is Maytag is making them cheaper! Suspension is coal springs that suspends the load so if you fill it up, it lowers the drum to the floor, instead of a bottom bracket that supports the weight from lowering the drum to the floor! Second is the pulley system with the belt drive that wears through the plastic casing. You know some people dont have $900 or $1,000 for a machines that says commercial or heavy duty that only last 4 years when you have a family of six! Very very sad, will never buy another Maytag.

I HATE this washer. It had such good reviews before I bought it, but I have never been so disappointed. Doesnt use NEARLY enough water to get anything clean, even when I try deep water wash, bedding, or power wash. You cant switch modes in the middle of a load, and if you leave it paused too long, it drains on you. Ive tried balling everything up as the manufacturer advised. I tried using less detergent, again as advised. Nothing works. Sometimes the clothes on top dont even get wet. Dont waste your money!! If I can find a way to fix my old washer, Im going to do that and throw this thing to the junk heap.

The digital display on our Maytag Washer model MVWB765FW, bought 3/22/2017, failed overnight (whilst the machine was not operating) after 3 1/2 years. A reputable firm came out and diagnosed the problem, their report concluded that the Control Board had failed and needed replacing: they provided a verbal quote of $525 [ ! ] to do that. The machine cost $600 and based on the expected life for washers (per Consumer Reports) of ten years would have a maximum residual value of $420 based on straight-line depreciation. The retailer from whom we bought the washer told us that he had contacted Maytag and asked them what they were prepared to do about this failure: a week later and absolutely no response from the manufacturer. Apparently Maytag has no concern for their customers or their own reputation. We made the mistake of buying this machine based on Maytag’s reputation and a ten year warranty which appears to cover only parts unlikely to fail! NO MORE MAYTAGS FOR US.

We have had this refrigerator (Maytag Side By Side Refrigerator with Ice Dispenser 27 CU) for 5 years this month and have already had to have it serviced once and now the ice dispenser just went out. I wish there was a brand out there that did not have problems and when problems occur, you do not get the runaround to get them fixed!

We ordered a new Bravos washer and dryer at the end of November but due to delivery snafus, we did not have both until the second week of December. Just yesterday, both failed. Part of the drum on the washer ripped off, and the dryer just stopped running an hour later. I am used to getting a long life out of appliances. The old dryer was over 20 years old, and while the old washer was only 17 years old, I thought it would be nice to get a matched set.

I have a Maytag dishwasher; a nylon roller for the upper rack cracked. It is held in place by a hex head screw. The roller is about $1.75. Maytag will not sell me the roller. I have to buy a complete rack adjuster assembly for $46 to replace a small nylon roller that screws in. I have had these problems before with them. I guarantee that I will never buy another Whirlpool-manufactured appliance. This is ludicrous!

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I didnt actually spend my hard earned money buying these machines, they came with our house purchase. At first I was excited to have a good quality washer/dryer... Now I understand why the previous owners left them behind. My complaints are like most of the others on here - takes way too long to do a load because of the stupid water sensor, it doesnt wash loads evenly so everything on top hardly gets wet and washed properly, lint all over our clothes, powder residue left behind even though I set it to 2 rinses, a lot of settings but missing useful ones like quick wash... just all around disappointing. At least one good thing has come out of this and we will not be buying Maytag for our new laundry room. Saying that I have also read so many bad/worrying reviews about Samsung and LG - cant any company make good, reliable, lasting products and stand behind a warranty anymore?!

I purchased the Maytag Bravos XL MVBW755DW Washer and MGDB755DW Dryer in July 2016. Shame on me for not making my complaint sooner. They offer the Tide Pods for use but they dont completely dissolve and leave a residue/stain on the clothing. I have to wash everything on Deep Water Wash just to try to get them to come clean. Clothes will come out dry in some spots, they will have fabric softener stains on them, the pre-treated stains are still there once washed. Lint residue will be left on just about every piece of clothing. The fabric softener/detergent dispensers left side is rusting and I have to pull it out and clean it once a week. I cant get to the track on the inside to try to clean it and soon that will deteriorate and the dispenser will no longer slide into place. If I could attach pictures I would. Now moving on to the dryer, it dries clothes great. My only complaint at this point is that when the cycle is getting ready to shut off it sounds like a jet engine and rattles terribly. To sum this up, I called customer service this morning. They said nothing that I am explaining to them sounds as though it is a manufacturers defect. They said they will send a tech out to review at a fee of $99.95 plus the cost of any labor associated with the repair. They did however offer to pay for the parts. Now my question to them is if none of my issues are a manufacturers defect then why would you offer to pay for the parts? The unit(s) are no longer under warranty... Think twice, gather as much information as you possibly can prior to making a major purchase. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

My Maytag refrigerator Model MFX2571XEMS has to constantly be defrosted due to ice accumulation in the bottom of the freezer. If not defrosted, water leaks out onto our hardwood floor. Maytag will not do anything to resolve this problem. We were told by a repairman that we have to defrost it manually to fix the problem. Yeah at least every 2 weeks. What a rip off.

Ive used Maytag Dishwashers since the 1980s, from Alabama to California. And I wouldnt change a thing. In fact my entire family (well the folks that can afford it) uses maytag dishwashers. Extremely satisfied we are.

Purchased 6 11 21 from Menards. $1100.00. With extended warranty $134.99. Lid lock inoperative on 9 11 21. Called Menards, past 30 days. They will not help. Called Maytag, took 2 weeks to get a diagnosis on issue, while technician was there week of 28th the motherboard fired. Another month, part came in October 23rd then wiring harness fired, and pump also. 1 week for parts, which were replaced, Technician came and was stumped as it still doesnt work. Diagnosis after this appointment for the pump replacement is clutch, rotor & stator are fried.Nov 18th, new rotor came in and Technician says although brand new in box, it is defective from factory. New one ordered. In meantime I have called maytag every week with no results, they tried to get me to accept 100.00 gift card, I laughed, as we are a family of 6 and generally have 6-8 loads a week. And have spent on average 70.00 a week for the last 14 weeks, we could have bought another washer by now. Last maytag lasted 16 years! This one 3 months...They finally decided to replace it, but we wont recieved it for another 4-5 weeks. So, 20 - 22 weeks of no brand new washer bought in good faith, brand rep, and paid for based on prior experience. So far, No customer service, No brand reputation, No product longevity. I will never buy another maytag, ever. If you only had negative stars to award this useless product. This is almost criminal, and is close to being fraudulent and willfully deceitful. It is false advertising and to date they have not really stood behind their product...

Maytag dishwasher mdbh979sam1 - Every single one of the Maytag/whirlpool dishwashers with soft pushbuttons and LEDs will fail--check it on YouTube. They have a very thin printed circuit strip from the door controller to the brains, and this rusts through in a few years. You must buy the whole controller for $150, you cant replace just the ribbon. And youll be doing this every few years. Maytag disavows this if you call them. The design runs the steam past this ribbon, so it corrodes really fast. Get a real pushbutton or a real dial knob model instead. With this model, the issue shows up when the LED pushbuttons stop responding or randomly light.

I bought a fridge from Home Depot. It was on sale and not a Maytag. Somehow they delivered a Maytag. I am over-the-top happy with my fridge. It keep things cold. It is roomy, It has separate temp controls for the freezer and fridge. The bright LED lighting is wonderful. It is energy efficient. It is easy to move around when I need to clean under it. It was delivered right away.

This product has been a huge disappointment, from day one. It wrinkles and tears clothes beyond recognition. When I called Maytag to complain, they tried to up sell me a service contact. I explained that it works fine, as a shredder, but it is just a bad design and asked if Maytag had any recalls. He then told me if I purchase the service agreement and they cant fix it then they will refund the $$... ITS NOT BROKEN. It was crap when we got it home. Shame on me for not taking it right back to Best Buy. Someone needs to start a CLASS ACTION SUIT. I am sure they have duped many people into buying this shredding machine...

Please Do NOT purchase the Maytag Aqua Lift Gas Range. It does not clean anything, you will pay more money for a cleaning oven that does not clean any grease or droppings if you cook. This is not an Oven for any one, or family that cooks large meals or has gatherings. I had the technicians at my house over 4 times and they confirmed that this oven is not a self cleaning oven. It doesnt get hot enough as your self cleaning ovens. And MAYTAG did not want to hear anything, basically not clean much, but advertised as a self cleaning oven. Having been a Maytag customer for years I will never buy a Maytag product again. And we need to support American made, but not when the consumer is misled.

DB7749SAM1 Maytag Stainless Steel Dishwasher worked great for 14 months then lights went crazy. My last machine was 30 years old before its motor died. I should have fixed it. Maytag needs to step up and fix this. I will make sure everyone knows from here on out, social media is a wonderful thing. I have not even used it that much - still looks brand new and this is unbelievable. I have seen so many bad reviews now on how Maytag has built poorly designed appliances and then to add insult to injury they will not fix their mistakes.

I have Maytag Model MGT8885XS03 Gas Range. I bought it in 2014. The surface burner valves, which regulate the gas flow, are a bad design. One valve got stuck and needed replacement within warranty. Then another valve got stuck about a year ago and the third one got stuck about a month ago. I am going to replace these two valves now. My friend, who is helping me replace, has similar gas range. He also needs to replace a valve. His range is about a year old.

What junk. Bought this gx2shbxvy05 french door fridge. In less than 16 months the freezer is fine the fridge section gets up to 80f. Throw all the food away. Found the freezer coil covered in ice. Took the back panel off and noticed ice around the copper tubes by the compressor going up into the body. Not good. Put a small brick heater in and slowly melted the ice into the drip tray. Warning, it filled up 4 cups of water and of course spilled and killed the wood floor. After the clean up. Plugged the unit in and it seemed to work for about 3 months. Now its dead again. Looked into parts around 300 to 400 bucks plus labor to replace the system needed parts. P.S. the fridge, this junk replaced is downstairs working after 25 years not one issue other than the color. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG product please. TRAIL APPLIANCE should never have sold this product and should have stepped up to help out. Wont buy from them again.

I had a Maytag washer and dryer for over 25 years. I loved them so I replaced them with the Maytag name. They are not the same company as far as pride and product workmanship.From the get go it always had a dirty odor to the tub, as though the clothes had been left in it for days. I was told to just run through a cycle with bleach, but nothing. There is no lint collector and after about 8 years of using this washer, the old lint is in the bottom of my washer after every wash. Now, I have to deal with the thing coming to a screeching stop, not spinning out the water after the wash cycle. Sometimes it’s full of water and other times some water drained, but the clothes are full of water and not spun out.Now tonight, I went downstairs and found water on the floor, it’s leaking. My question is to call and get it repaired or not waste my money and go buy another brand. I may go with the latter.I purchased a fridge and dryer at Home Depot a few years ago. I wanted to stay away from Maytag name. I purchased another name only to find out it is part of Maytag. No wonder I’m having trouble with my fridge, making ghost-like howling sounds so loud it consumes the entire house. So annoying. Stay away from Maytag. They are not the same reliable, take-pride-in-work company.

I purchased the Maytag 6.5 inch electric convection oven about 2 years ago. I wish I hadnt. The oven temp is way off, it cooks unevenly, the back burners hardly work, and the back burners on the stove top barely work, the knobs get stuck constantly, the self cleaning does not work, and the glass part of the door allows dust to get trapped in the glass. The range is $800+ piece of junk, best used at the scrap yard. Today, I turn my oven on, and the element underneath the oven pan caught on fire. Now its broken in half, and needs to be replaced. I look up the QR code, and come to find out the oven is actually a Whirlpool, with Maytag labels on the outside. I would have never purchased this range if I knew it was a Whirlpool. I have always had issues with Whirlpool appliances. This is a fraudulent product, and deceives the customer. Why sell it as a Maytag, when its really a Whirlpool? It should at least state that fact on the description, and salespeople should advise the customer. Now I know why its a piece of junk, because its a WHIRLPOOL!!! I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I have always stuck with Maytag appliances. Every appliance in my house is a Maytag, or are they Whirlpool?

Its just me and my wife. We bought a brand new, top of the line Maytag top loader washing machine 7 1/2 years ago. It quit working last week. We called a reputable appliance repair company in Toledo. It cost $88 for the technician to tell us the Maytag computer system is not worth repairing. It looks great. According to the technician Maytsg is known for selling junk. My wife and I felt we were buying a top of the line washing machine. We were duped. We had a top of the line LG top load washer delivered today. Never will we ever, under any circumstances, buy anything from Maytag.
