This Bravos 300 washer has never cleaned clothes adequately. I have 3 sons who are athletic and this washer does not clean sweaty or dirty clothes even with extra rinse. Now my machine is 4 years and 3 months old and it needs a new bearing which will cost me $385. The repairman said this is a common repair in this machine. Maytag should be ashamed of the poor quality of this machine. I am now looking to by a new traditional top loader. These HE machines are a joke. I am contacting them to make a complaint and see if anything can be done.

I have just inquired on this site about problems with Maytag dishwashers. Ours does not start. It is about a year old and is Model MDBH989AW03. I am very discouraged after reading the many continual problems with control panels. I am checking my warranty. If it is out of warranty, we think that we will purchase a GE that has worked great in our other house.

This is not about a Bravo but Maytag is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned. Have not had the washer but a couple of years and is leaking somewhere inside of the machine. Have to turn the water on and off just to wash clothes and still laundry room floor soaked. The dryer I have to run for 70 mins. on high heat at least twice to dry clothes, 3 times for your towels. Of course it lasted long enough so the warranty had run out. Never ever again would I buy this crap.

I purchased my Maytag Centennial 1 and 6 mos ago and it is already broken. The washer wont wash the clothes, just sit in the water and wont spin. I called Maytag, they offered me a warranty for another year for $371. The washer was only $550.00. When I tried to get set up with a repair service, the only company they used which was going to charge $105 just to look at it, would only take cash. When I called back to discuss with Maytag, they were no help at all. I was told they wouldnt even do the warranty since I scheduled a service even though I canceled it. I will never buy Maytag again.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher (Model MDB7809AWWI) in Sept. of 2009. In 2010 and 2011, it had dead control panels. The first time, it was under warranty. The second time, it was not, and I purchased a costly service plan to have it repaired. Now, 2012, its dead a third time. Maytag tried to tell me that I could purchase another plan for $289. I informed them that for that cost, I can replace it with a dishwasher that doesnt require costly service plans and yearly repairs. They informed me that their parts only have a 30-day warranty. If theyre not willing to stand behind their products enough to admit that one is faulty, then Im not willing to stand behind them as a company.

I purchased a washer & dryer from Lowes on December 3rd. On February 20th, my washer stopped filling up. I called customer service and had someone come out a few days later. The repairman said the sensor broke & it would take 10 days for part to come in. After 2 weeks, I tried calling repair company and they would not answer phone for Maytag, or me. Maytag called another service provider, and it will be another week before part comes in. Never could get in touch with anyone who was helpful! Now it’s been a month, and still not fixed!

Bought mdb7609aww2 dishwasher in 2010. Now I cant use it as it will not start even though the panel lights of my selected wash cycle work. I looked up on internet how to reset it, but I only get a half cycle. Called customer service and for $269, I can get it fixed and get a one-year warranty. Wow, what a deal. Might as well get a new dishwasher. Joining the lawsuit. It is about time corporations take responsibility for defective merchandise, not make money to correct their mistakes by charging customers for overpriced parts and stupid worthless warranties. A pox on them.

Rather than go through all the things I dont like about this washer, just read all the complaints because that is my complaints also: bearings, not enough water in tub, clothes not getting cleaned. Just check out the lint filter and see the gray and dirty lint after a load and you will see it doesnt clean the clothes. Now, the motherboard is kaput! Cycles are all screwed up. Cost is $386 for motherboard plus labor and I will not put one more cent in this piece of crap.Listening to the salesman and consumer reports on the best washer to buy. All they are concerned with is energy savings and believe me when I say that all energy savings products are a joke because you give up operating ability for the sake of energy savings-- true of refrigerators and washers, dryers, furnaces and the like. I will be buying an agitator washing machine. The saving on water are not enough to give up clean clothes.

Neptune washer maxima XL steam - Our machine is only 2 years old and we feel the soap dispenser is defective. That little door inside to choose either liquid or powder is not flush with the basic cup and to make matter worse, there is a V shape hole at the bottom of that little door. Meaning, fill it up, and while you are looking for the softener in your closet, all the expensive liquid HE soap is on your floor! And when you close the door, if you wait for starting the load, all the soap goes into that rubber gulley instead of being sent over the clothes. I just got off the phone with them, they wanted to send a technician AT MY EXPENSE - when I do feel it is a deign mistake, not a use/abuse on my part. I proposed instead to send them a picture. They refused. I proposed to send them the soap drawer, they refused as well. I will never buy Maytag ever again and dont recommend to anyone to go to this Brand name!

2011 model MVWC2oox W1- spin dry failure - We purchased above top loader in 2011 and have had no issues until now. Currently constant failures on spinning and drying. Spin cycle stops without getting up to speed and appears to be an unbalanced load sensor problem. Also draining is not completed (possible pump going bad). Area tech came out within a week as promise and ran the diagnostics and found no faults. Problem has continued. We do a load a week. Looking for better answers or a new washer.

I bought this washer in November of 2012 thinking it’s one of the best because it is a Maytag. Five months later, the wash machine needed a new gear case because it was making this horrible loud noise when it was washing and spinning. The service guy came over and replaced this part. Now, the washer does not want to spin. The clothes are soaked, and I have to stand there and manually turn the knob to spin it; and it still doesnt spin right. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a washing machine, and I regret ever buying this Maytag. They should recall this series of washers because there is something really wrong when you have to have it repaired twice, and it is not even a year old!

Model # MF12269VEQ1 French doors with bottom freezer - This refrigerator was purchased March 2011 and it is forming a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. We tried unplugging it overnight to see if it would correct itself and it hadnt. I googled this complaint and called the manufacturer to see if there was a recall. It seems a lot of people are having this problem. Several comments are to pour hot water in the drain plug or use a blow dryer to to the plug; however, you have to disassemble the whole bottom freezer, then unscrew the back to get to the drain plug. I feel this is a defect in this refrigerator. This unit was approx. $1600.00 and should not be having this type of problem. Who knows if I could actually get to it to try these things, that it could keep recurring. Im very upset as my husband and I are seniors on a fixed budget. We bought the name Maytag because we thought they built good products.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Cookeville TN. In 2018. After a year it quit. The service man from the authorized dealer in Cookeville could not repair it. After numerous calls Maytag sent a service man to repair it, this took about three weeks. This washer is a Maytag industrial, it has a 5 year parts and labor warranty, and 10 years on the motors. Now it is out again, after calling Maytag, and holding on the line for an hour, finally I had to chat with someone, and they set up an appointment for about 3 days. So service company call now and says it will be another week before they can sent someone to look at it, and another week to get the parts. They also questioned my warranty. I gave high dollar for this washer, what’s happened to Maytag?

I spoke to Destiny today at the Resolution Center, she knew one phrase, its a low usage washer. I would reply, 3 inches of water in a drum does not wash my familys clothes. Every load is covered in white soap specks, whether powder, liquid or pods are used. Again, Id hear, its a lower usage washer. Ok, I got it.The machine has been cleaned with Affresh. This washer cannot clean a single shirt let alone a full load of wash. Maytag (actually made by Whirlpool) should be ashamed to produce such a shoddy product and expect to the consumer to keep paying for repairs. From reading the reviews on a couple of websites, consumers have to keep repairing this washer time and time again. Destiny told me she would send a technician out at my expense. The machine will be in the landfill on Saturday. Never again Maytag/Whirlpool.

Purchased a Maytag MSD2553WEW00 refrigerator on 2/27/2011 from Home Depot. Began using it in July 2012 upon completion of home construction. In February 2014, after less than two years of service, the refrigerator was running but no longer cooling. After the expense of several part replacements and a service call, it was determined that the compressor had failed. Unlike most manufacturers, Maytag did not warrant the compressor and closed system beyond 12 months. The refrigerator looks like new but the cost of repair is prohibitive relative to purchasing another new refrigerator. Maytag was contacted but was not helpful.

Dishwasher Model MDB7749SBM1 - When I returned home from work today, I noticed the cancel drain button was on and the unit was continuing to try and drain but the dishes were not clean and the cascade pod was still inside the unit unused. I then proceeded to run another cycle to clean the dishes and what happened next simply amazed me. I pressed the jet clean button, tough scrub and 2 hour delay button and thought I was all set but the start/resume button would not engage or light up at all and subsequently the cancel/drain button lit up and the unit started draining. Now the control lock and start/resume button just flashes intermittently and wont disengage. I purchased my unit along with several other new Maytag appliances when I renovated my kitchen. We purchased this microwave in Jan. 2012 to accompany a Maytag double oven for our kitchen remodel. Last night while using the microwave, 2 sparks shot up out of the top of the microwave and an electrical surge noise. I quickly un-plugged the appliance. The next day I attempted to use the microwave again and dense electrical smelling smoke poured from the top of the microwave, again un-plugged the machine. I have called an appliance repairman since the 1 year warranty is up. This machine is not even 2 years old and we will never again purchase a Maytag product. PS If the problem is the magnetron (whatever that is) I will contact Maytag for the warranty information.

So we bought the whole Maytag kitchen appliance FZ (fingerprint resistant)
So we bought the whole Maytag kitchen appliance FZ (fingerprint resistant) series suite. That was such a mistake! Id give the part numbers but I think this applies to Maytag in general as it sounds like all of their appliances suck. Ours are 1½ year old and I already want new ones. Over $3,600 for junk. We knew it was no Viking or Sub Zero but didnt expect to flush $4k down the toilet either. The microwave is an over the range type and we have it vented to the outside of the house. The vent works like crap to remove the steam when you have a large pot of water boiling on the stove top. I can put the fan on high and barely any steam goes up the vent, most of it ends up soaking the microwave door to the point where I have to towel it off. The vent will hold up a paper towel so I know its pulling air but the location of the vent in relationship to the large front burners makes it useless. And the self cleaning is as others have already stated - A joke.We bought the fingerprint resistant SS and I would rather have the fingerprints than all of the scratches. Today, and this is no BS, I had a lottery ticket on the fridge under a magnet and I pulled the ticket because I wanted to check the numbers, well I slid the paper about 4 inches while it was still on the fridge under the magnet and now we have these fine scratches everywhere I did this. It wasnt the magnet because it has a felt backer on it, I took the paper off and slid the magnet all over the place, no scratching. I cant believe a piece of paper would even leave a mark at all. This is aside from some larger scratches that someone in the house must have used a feather duster on it or something. The French door fridge is loud and the ice maker is huge! The slide out basket in the freezer always gets cockeyed and stuck like its coming off the track. To line up the door tops you have to adjust the feet on the bottom of the fridge. I have to put ours out of level to get the door tops to line up, well this makes it look terrible in the cabinet space so you have to make a choice of what is uglier - thats just bad engineering. Our old fridge (GE) you could adjust the doors right on the bottom of the door. Its like they forgot this and said, Well you can just tip it one way or another to get them to line up, ya lets put that in the manual. The dishwasher sucks, plan on rinsing everything, even the silverware doesnt come clean. No its not our water. We are so disappointed in this brand which used to be considered very good, what the heck happened? Ship manufacturing over to China? And another thing, I highly doubt this is stainless steel. I know there is ferritic and martensitic stainless that are magnetic but Id bet all of my appliances that this is just regular carbon sheet steel with some coating on it to give a stainless steel look. All except for the range, that is different and doesnt scratch like the fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. Not sure why but probably has to do with the heat so they couldnt use this junk coating, just a guess though. Anyway it doesnt matter, all of the appliances are a complete waste of money. Poor design, poor performance, poor durability, pure junk!

I wish that I had looked up reviews before purchasing my washer 6 months ago! No matter which setting I use, the washer never fills up with enough water!! I have pulled clothes out that havent even gotten wet, due to not enough water in machine! All due to the government regulated water levels on the sensors!!!! So, I had my plumber put in hot and cold water faucets, then he put a short Y hose on, so this way I can add water to the machine.... The only thing is, you have to wait for the machine to fill with what it thinks is enough water to get your load clean.... stop the washer, then add the water you need. But if it reaches a certain point, it will automatically start draining. So you have to watch and make sure you stop adding the water, before reaching that point!

I purchased a Maytag commercial residential washer in late 2018, supposed to have a warranty for at least 5 years. We are in California and I was told that there was only one facility that could come two weeks later. I removed the front panel to have it ready for service tech, who on the first visit kept saying he did not know what the problem was, and left telling me he would order parts. After Christmas, I could not get in touch with service so again called Maytag. Service was supposed to come out on the 30th.After waiting almost 3 hours, he called to tell me he did not have the parts. Also, this repair tech treated me very bad since I removed the front panel which I thought I was being nice. He called me back on the 30th, said someone gave him a part, and came. All he did was remove control panel, lost the start button and told me it worked without checking it at all. He was rushing to another appointment so I tried to start it and it still had the original issue, which was slow agitator and a rubbing/grinding sound. Now, after he did something with control panel it had a clicking sound. I immediately called corporate and was told when he came back, which has now been over a month with no washer, that he would be with a senior technician.January 5th I waited all afternoon and he called and said he was not coming and that my whole washer would have to be rebuilt. He never replaced the parts on previous invoices I received, and I filed a complaint with the BBB. Now they are completely lying. Technician trying to say I had the control panel apart which is not true, and does not match up with the invoices I received. They are telling me my warranty is voided! Its been a month and a half. I was treated rudely from the beginning and now I am obviously being retaliated against. I have 3 kids, two with severe medical problems and have put so many hours into calling with all these issues.I had another service place come out and he removed the agitator and the transmission shaft/drive motor is rusted out, as well as the parts he said he replaced are worn and definitely not new. For this company to come back after all this time and say I did this, when I have the original invoice that clearly states otherwise is absolutely the worst service ever.I bought this machine thinking it would last, and now have to deal with all this. I have nerve damage and it is very difficult to take all the laundry for a family of 5 to do at laundromat. They refused to send someone else out, where they could easily have seen this repair tech never did what he said, and was unable to diagnose and fix the issue. Its appalling to me that this is how they treat customers. Laura ** at corporate is the one saying warranty is voided. The machine looks brand new as it has always been taken care of. They should be ashamed of themselves. Apparently, this is the standard a lot of times with people trying to get things serviced under a Manufacturer warranty!

Approximately one week ago, the display on my fridge began to flash and ice door flap continuously opens and closes. Upon researching the issue, it seems to be a very common issue and a known defect. One in which was apparently a recall at one point. I was told by a Maytag representative that the recall was from 2007 to 2009 and has since expired. Expired? Its a known defect and should be the responsibility of Maytag to provide the parts and labor to repair the fridge. I asked for a supervisor and was told that one would contact me within 24 hours. Well, about a week later, I never received that call so I called Maytag again. This time I was told by the maytag representative and a supervisor that there was no recall and that it was a Quality issue. A play with words, in my opinion. Anyhow, regardless of the title the issue was given, I was told I would be responsible for the repairs and costs. I attempted to look up the recall on Maytags website and had seen the last two letters of the serial number to my fridge listed under the recall, but when I tried to investigate further, the site referred me to the 800 phone number I had been calling. Now, had this been an issue that was not a known defect and apparently a recall, I wouldnt be writing on this site right now. But, because it is a known defect that maytag is aware of, I think its Maytags responsibility to pay for the parts and labor for my fridge.

Our Maytag oven (not sure model) in the first year started doing crazy things with the oven computer. The oven would shut off and come back on and the display would be garbled. Also when my girlfriend tried to pull the turkey out, the rack fell off the left side and dumped all the juices into the oven. She almost got burned and there was a lot of smoke. The freakin rack should never fall off! Also our dishwasher is on its second control board. I lived by Mr. Maytag and his airplanes/helicopters at Crest airpark in Covington, WA. I wish I still did. Id like to ask him what he thinks of his crappy products. You get nothing for your money anymore. Im not sure but Ill bet both of my problems with these products have something to do with saving a buck by making this crap in Mexico or some other *** hole. I bought my first centennial washer less than four years ago, warrantied that machine out. It was replaced by best buy because of the warranty that I purchased. We are a family of four, with that in mind the replacement machine was a model year newer and it last just over a year and quit. I bought the machine anticipating that it will last me the next 10 years. With two children at home now that is not working, all I have to do on replace a new machine. The repair shop has told me that they get more of the Maytag centennial machines and then any other washing machine is going to cost me more to repair it than to buy a new machine because I had faith in the Maytag products for many many years. This particular machines are extremely hard to diagnose as to what causes the problem or what the problem is and could take a long time to get it fixed as well as the expense of getting it fixed. I would not recommend another Maytag product nor will Maytag ever get any more money from us. This particular product has become a piece of junk that I cant even get rid of to recycling. Maytag has become a joke and this machine has become a 500 dollar hunk of junk in my opinion.

We are very disappointed that this washer with only two people only worked three years when we thought we had bought a reliable product that would last. Sent several messages in November but no response till today 12/13/17 after filing. BBB complaint filed and they decline to do anything. On 9/8/09, I purchased a Maytag ceramic glass top range, model MER7662WBO. The right front dual burner has what look like worms in the burner. The other burners are clear. Maytag has replaced the top three times and the burner once. The top has gone bad again and they are calling this a cosmetic now and will not replace the top. I think there is a problem with the tops. I have purchased my last Maytag product. I buy for looks also.

Maytag Bravos washer MVWB750WQO frame assembly and cabinet rust - I sent letter of internal and external rust issues to Jeff Fettig (Whirlpool CEO) and received no response. Then, I sent letter a second time with an attached signed receipt. Then, I finally received a call from corporate staff member stating they would replace parts but not labor. Labor costs would cost between $350 - $500.00. This is without the initial service call and diagnosis cost between $100 - $125.00. The determined parts list cost would be $700 - 50% for Whirlpool internal cost + shipping be approximately $425.00. This is more than the cost of a new unit or the value of three-year depreciation value of the existing unit. This does not make any financial sense. Whirlpool should provide a new replacement unit at their costs. It has been three months and with no successful outcome. Also, via web research, there are many complaints about Maytag/Whirlpool and I am not the first in regards to rust issue. Therefore, Whirlpool is attempting to limit their financial exposure by only offering parts that they have to agree upon because the labor costs will not support this additional investment in a three-year unit. It makes more financial sense to purchase new or be offered a replacement unit.

My washing machine is 2 1/2 years old. It is not overused, just 2 people in the household. Maytag wanted to sell me a contract for $320, I declined. After research I see that this machine has many complaints against it. I bought Maytag because they never need repair. I would like Maytag to fix this machine without charge or recall the machine. From what I have read, these machines are defective. The electronics are failing at 2 to 3 years.

I purchased my Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology MVWC200XW in May 2012. This is the second time in almost 3 years that it breaks down. The basket decided to drop today and by the time I realized that it did, my whole bathroom had flooded, the water spread down the hall into my spare bedroom and soaked through the floor, also flooding my basement. I called customer service. They are sending a repair man next week, but as for all my ceramic tiles that are now cracked in my bathroom and my hardwood in the hall and bedroom that is full of water and are lifting off the ground. Its my responsibility to call my insurances to fix it. Yet it was their washing machine that caused the damage in the first place. When I purchased the washer I didnt expect to have to repair it every year. Not impressed! I do not recommend this washer.

I purchased a 5 Maytag appliances in the last year. Stupidest thing I have ever done. The clothes washer being the worst. Front Load, model # MHW3505FW1. Last night I threw 5 small, lighter weight things in the washer on normal cycle, med temp, max extract... like usual. An hour and thirty-eight minutes later (normal cycle time), I opened it to find most things never even got wet. One scarf was still folded in fourth - the way I put it in! I called service even though I know there is nothing wrong with the washer, other than being so poorly designed, it cant get clothes wet with a damn tub and a hose. After I told her the problem, she puts me on hold, comes back to tell me she researched this everywhere and she found that this is a symptom of a NEW washer! Its SOO efficient that you cant even tell it was wet! Bull. Most of the items were brand new and you could see the original creases and smell the new smell. They CLEARLY were never wet. They wanted to set up an appointment for servicing, so now I have to be here for them to tell me nothing its not broken. I will never buy another Maytag again.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher with a control panel in September of 2013. In August of 2014, the control panel died and did not allow me to run the washer. In March of 2015, the piece which was replaced died. When contacting Maytag, even when they did the repair the first time, said they were unable to cover the cost because it was now out of warranty. Ive seen several class action lawsuits around the product with Maytag. Do not buy a Maytag. It used to be a quality brand, but is now terrible.

I am very dissatisfied with this Maytag Gemini oven Ive had it for 4yrs. It has been in the shop twice for the same problem. Temperature control. It is down again for the same thing temperature control. The repairman, who I had to look at it, says the bill will be over $500.00. I paid $1300.00 for this stove. I cant afford to put any more money in this stove. I had to pay $100.00 for repairman to tell me this. The model # met8665xw02 serial#D30522404. Is there a recall on this stove? There should be. I sold Maytag products for several years at Circuit City. I always pushed Maytag instead of another brand. I believed in Maytag. The repairman hasnt been lonely to me.

I have owned my Bravos XL for over a year. Loads of wash have come out with rust marks. These marks do not show up on all items, only one article of clothing/sheet/towel seems to pick up the rust marks (usually a couple of dots near each other surrounded by a circle). They are always the same. They have shown up on sheets which were washed in a white cycle and on other clothes of various colors.I have ruined numerous new clothes and must accept the fact that these random but frequent rust-colored dots are part of my life. I expected more. Im getting ready to purchase a W/D for our home up North and believe its necessary to return to a basic model, probably a GE. Maytag seems to have jumped the gun on this one… putting new product out there, aware these unresolved issues remain.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos MCT HE washer in 2011. Its about 3 1/2 years old and there was a very loud noise when the washer went into the spin cycle. Called the repair man and they told me the bearing and spin basket needed replaced. I had always had Kenmores with very little issues and they lasted for 12 years plus each. I get the HE model from Maytag and cant even go 3 1/2 years without some major issue. I called Maytag (Whirlpool) to complain and they said there wasnt anything they could do. I reminded them that I had checked for recalls on this model and looked into some of the complaints about this washer and that there were many of the same issues that I had plus many others. I felt like there should have been a recall on the bearing since they are going out too soon for this kind of a washer. I guess the Maytag repair man is now busier than ever since I dont see them on any advertisements anymore. Well, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance again after this.

Got woken up to the sound of my refrigerator ice lid flapping. Boy is it loud! Called Maytag and found out it was a recall so they will fix. They set up for someone to come out to fix the following week. That was a flop because they did not have the part. I waited 4 hours for someone to show to find out that Maytag scheduled the appointment for nothing - not only did they NOT have the part but they did not have a clue as to when it will come in. Time is valuable! Here we are 5 weeks later and my refrigerator is still flapping and loud. Has been calling Maytag for them to say that the part has been expedited. Well it has been expedited for more than 3 weeks now! Today they say that it will be another month before the part comes in! Not Good! This is such an inconvenience and Ive lost a lot of sleep over this flapping noise. Its an embarrassment when guests come over to our home! Tired of it!

On 7/8/11, the non-freezer part of the refrigerator failed to cool to needed temperature. This fridge is model MI TXEMMWWOO, with serial no EY4705715, purchased on 7/13/10 at Home Depot. We contacted Maytag and were told to wait until Monday. On Monday, we were told that a serviceman would be out on Thursday, the 14th. On Wednesday, the 13th, the serviceman called to inform us that he would come the next day and that he would have to collect for the call. Since the fridge was still under warranty, we demurred. We went to Home Depot for advice. They called Maytag, and after an hour of getting the runaround, we were told that the serviceman would come on the 19th and that the call would be covered by the warranty. On the 18th, the serviceman called with the same message as before: he would have to collect the charges for the service call. Another trip to Home Depot led to the advice to activate the extended warranty at this point.Under the extended warranty, the serviceman came on the 21st, had to order a new part, and finally installed the new part on the 29th, three weeks after the misery began, and after spoiled foods, many bags of ice, and great inconvenience. We have other Maytag appliances, but this purchase has been a cruel lesson in Maytags lack of product quality, deceptive warranty practice, and indifference to consumer satisfaction.

Ive looked at estimates online of $450.00 for parts and labor. Customer service is no help at all, nothing they can do. She actually recommended KitchenAid for our next appliance. Maytag has become a terrible brand. We will never buy from them again. By the way, they also made our Jenn Air Oven, which turned itself on a number of times while we were away. 350 degrees. That was a total loss as well. We are filling up landfills with our Maytag/Whirlpool appliances and you will too.

The frontload washer 4000 series began making a very loud noise on spin. I called Maytag and requested service. The technician came and made a diagnostic evaluation, stating this has been a bearing defect affecting several of these models. I called Maytag, and the representative agreed to ship the parts at no charge. A week later, we received the parts, only for the technician to find one of the parts damaged in shipping perhaps. So another part was sent directly to the Maytag dealer. Upon my research, this appears to be a known issue with the Maytag/Whirlpool corporation, and I found where customers had requested Maytag to also be responsible for the service/labor costs, which were also covered by Maytag. I made the call today and was advised no and to be happy that Maytag paid for the parts due to a known defect and that no service or labor charges would be covered. I understand my machine is out of warranty, but this is a known defect; its nothing caused by my self.

I bought my fridge (Maytag French Door Fridge MFF2258VEW) in September 2009. It took forever to get it and when it was delivered, the door was dented so I had to wait for a new door to be replaced. The fridge stopped cooling just before Thanksgiving 2011. I had to throw out a lot of food. It was the circuit board and that was covered under the warranty. I noticed a couple of months later that the freezer was freezing up again and was worried that the fridge would go out again and in February 2012, they came out again and it turned out that the freezer had been put back incorrectly and the freezer gasket didnt fit right and thus, the freezing up on the circuit board. Now it is May 21, 2012, and I came home for lunch to find the fridge not working again! I cant get anyone out to fix it until Wednesday, the 23rd. Now we are in warm weather and I just went to the store and had a full fridge. I still have the warranty and will for another 14 months. I think if this continues to happen and when the warranty is up, we will have to replace this fridge. I can tell you for sure that it will not be another Maytag! What a piece of junk!

We too bought a Maytag range (MER5755QAW) approximately 5 years ago. While making Christmas dinner, it quit working. The oven would not heat. Too bad it had to quit that day (or at all for that matter). Unfortunately, every single appliance I bought for my house 5 years ago is a Maytag appliance! The microwave quit last month and I have yet to replace it. I bought Maytag because for the longest time it was such a positive household brand name. Unfortunately, with 2 appliances less than 5 years old and out of warranty, I will never purchase one of their products again! I will spend the extra money and go with LG especially after reading some of the reviews on here on Maytag’s products (there are over 192 complaints on the Maytag ranges and ovens alone on this one forum).

My 20 yr old Kenmore washer broke last month so I replaced it with a Maytag
My 20 yr old Kenmore washer broke last month so I replaced it with a Maytag I bought from Lowes. I wanted a simple washer that would maybe last 10 years. The Maytag has a sensor for everything. So you can’t fill the washer, it determines how much water to use and it never fills enough to cover the clothes. It doesn’t agitate really. It’s more like a slow on & off movement. It does everything in an on & off way. The water fill goes on & off, it “washes” on & off. Even the spin is a spin, slow to almost stop - spin again - almost stop - spin again. It also stops filling if you open the lid, I tried to let some water fill before adding clothes (so the liquid detergent could dilute a bit) but every time I opened the top there was no water in the drum, I heated the water running and the drum was wet but it wouldn’t gill at all. I think it only puts water enough to “sense” the clothes have been soaked. I will call Lowes and try to return it.

My complaint is not against Home Depot but Maytag Products. They are inferior products. Stay away from Maytag! Note: We are in our mid-to late 60s, no kids using these products and they do not get a lot of wear and tear. Maytag Microwave: MMV 4205DS-0, May 29, 2014 we purchased Maytag appliances for our kitchen (stove and microwave from Home Depot). I liked the 10 year metal warranty plate attached to the front limited warranty of the microwave. This means nothing! They cover the stainless cavity of the microwave (a part that will never go bad). June 3, 2014 this microwave was delivered. Thanksgiving, the microwave went out November 30, 2015 this was replaced with GE Profile Model JVM3160RFSS for $178. November 30, 2015, Diamond Factory Service was here for the Microwave. We paid $90 for the service call. They wanted $228.09 to repair (1-8206419 Switch $15.22; 1 W10269460 Switch $27.03; 1 W10727360 Microswitch $27.03 and Labor $155.00). Maytag Dishwasher MDB7749AWM. Purchased from Al race Appliance for $599.95 total with tag etc was $920.27 on 5/16/12. So thankful was purchased the additional warranty for five years. We have had 2 service calls so far for the same issue, which is W10356494 Console CMFF0312434. This is a known problem (it will not start). I wish I would have googled the model before purchase was made. When the warranty expires, this will go to the curb too. Also, purchased Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer from Best Maytag, Rockford. Maytag Free Standing 30-inch Gas Range - In 2004 we bought our model MGR5775QDS gas range with 5-burners because it offered the most BTU variety for the price: 1 burner with a high BTU (16K), 1 with low (5K), plus 2 in mid-range (9.5K) and 1 with 12K. Within half a year of using the oven, we turned on the self-cleaning function. Big mistake. One cleaning cycle later, our oven refused to ignite. The cleaning cycle burned out the ignition unit. Cant remember if its replacement then was under warranty but the repairman said this was a COMMON PROBLEM with Maytag and we best not use it EVER. In 2014 our cleaning lady mistakenly thinking she was doing us a favor, set the self-cleaning function. Once again, the ignition unit was destroyed. This time its replacement was $350 with part and labor. One and half months later, the oven is again non-functioning. This time our repair guy said the part is a very minor, inexpensive one BUT MAYTAG IS NO LONGER MAKING IT!!! The only way well get our oven back is if he can find another model and cannibalize it to fix ours. Are we disgruntled? Yes. Would we like to see a class action suit against Maytag for knowingly manufacturing a gas range with a malfunctioning self-cleaning unit that destroys oven parts? Yes. Will we ever again buy Maytag? Not on your life. A once stellar manufacturer gone down the tubes with a growing reputation for making junk. American-made appliances mean zip these days. Thank you for nothing, Maytag.

OK, Im at wits end. I bought a very expensive Maytag Gemini range four years ago. Since then, I have replaced 10 burner valves. There are only five of them. They have each been replaced twice, and tonight yet another has broken. This time it is broken in the ON position, which means I cant have the range on without that burner on. It means unplugging it when not in use and lighting the burner with a match when I re-plug the stove, until I get it fixed. I had just replaced valve number 10 on Tuesday, and had a fully working range for only 5 days. These valves are under warranty but the labor is not, and it is always close to $200 to have someone come out to replace them. I cant afford a new stove and I cant afford to keep having these defective valves replace.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher for $500. After several months of it working less days than not working, I contacted the repairman. I paid $350 to replace the control panel. I wish I had just replaced it with a reliable product. 1 year into ownership and the seals on the door are falling off. May I suggest never purchasing a Maytag product?

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer unit from Lowes 3 years ago. The idler pulley failed causing a squealing noise every time we turned it on. It had to be replaced along with a new belt. The washer failed to work shortly after that. It had error codes that Maytag could not give me information about. These were both higher grade commercial units. We hoped they would last longer than 3 years without having major repairs. We also have had to install two lid switches for the washer in that same time span. Quality has been very poor and customer service has been worse. I will never buy another one of their products again.

I have had my Maytag set for shy of 2 full years, of actual usage time, that is. My dryer seems to be functioning normally, minus an occasional lengthy cycle time, even after the clothes are dry. The washer however, is sitting in my garage now. F51 error code, which online told me the rotary position sensor was the issue. Yes, I was told by an A&E repairman, who was at the house for an unrelated repair, that it was the bearing that was bad. When he showed me what I was looking for, there was the bearing laying in the clear plastic housing, in the underside of the washer. Its going to cost around $350.00 to get the part, if it can be found, and the service call. No, not really worth wasting more money on it. I am very unsatisfied with this unit. With 4 kids and 2 adults at home, I expected much more from the Maytag name.

MHW60X - I experienced a problem in May of 2015, and the repairman told me it was the master board, and he has seen this many times. He said that the MCU board goes out after 3.0 - 3.5 years!! This is exactly how old my machine was! The cost to repair this was almost what the machine cost, and this is unacceptable. I have had Maytag washers my entire adult life, and my prior one lasted approximately 20 years, but after this I am not sure I will consider another one in the future. To have a major part burn out soon after the warranty expires should not happen. I contacted customer service to find out the experience and reported problems on this model, but could not obtain any information, other than they have received calls about this model. I asked Maytag to reimburse me for the part - at a minimum, and they refused stating it was out of warranty and they could do nothing. Apparently they do not care about their reputation anymore, which is sad, since they used to be so well regarded!

While washing clothes in my Maytag front load washer, I noticed that there was water leaking from the front left corner from the bottom. I have owned the washer for only 2 years, and Maytag manufacturer (Whirlpool) told me that it was going to initially cost $80.00 for a service call and then more money to fix the leak. WOW. Also the wood floors that are underneath the washer and dryer, is starting to warp from the leaking washer. I would recommend DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG APPLIANCE. The warranty is basically worthless along with the washer.

I saved for this refrigerator for some time and assumed at my age this would be my last one. Thats a joke, less than 2 years and I see this water leaking on my floor. I blamed my dog at first. This was a Home Depot purchase. I love the middle drawer but the freezer has this problem. I removed the ice but it comes back. I did not purchase the extended warranty because if you have an excellent product, you dont need an extended warranty. And of course this happened RIGHT AFTER the warranty ran out. I am VERY upset with Maytag/Whirlpool. Will NEVER buy another product from them. This fridge should not have problems in less than 2 years.

I purchased a Maytag Gemini gas range in July 2006. Rust has appeared on the bottom of both oven doors. I called Maytag customer service, realizing that my range was no longer covered by warranty. However, I feel the paint on a range, costing over $1,000, should last longer than 5 years. Customer service told me to call a repair technician. When I asked who would pay for this service call, they didnt even bother to respond to me. As I have read other reviews of dissatisfied Maytag Range owners, Im glad I didnt waste money calling a repair tech who would do nothing to help, but charge a $100 plus fee. The paint on a car, which is subjected to all kinds of weather, lasts much longer than 5 years. You would think the paint on an appliance inside a home should last much longer. This rust is becoming very unsightly. I will certainly not purchase a Maytag product again, as the company has proved they do not stand behind their product line.

Dishwasher Control Panel MDB7749AWM2 - Purchased unit on 11/22/2011. June of 2014 my start button stopped working, and after searching online I guess I consider myself lucky. Spent 38 minutes on Maytag consumer service site speaking to a rep who walked me thru a reset that did not help and then explained that my machine was no longer under warranty and $149 for the service call and the cost of the part assuming it was a control panel would total over $250 on a machine I spent $500 on. I spoke to a supervisor who was only willing to sell me a control panel at 50% off and do it yourself, and while they claim there are no consumer issues with this part, they stated that the warranty on the part is only 90 days. I told them this was the last Maytag/Whirlpool/KitchenAid appliance I would purchase and they did not seem to care so I will be moving on to another dishwasher since I will not invest $250 in a fix of an item that they will only stand by for 90 days!

We purchased a Maytag MDB7749SBWO Maytag dishwasher. Suddenly the control panel does not work. Trying to find out why I found that there are thousands of complaints about this known defect with water and steam getting in and corroding the control panel. Shame on Maytag for continuing to sell these without fixing the problem. I expected my dishwasher to last many years based on the Maytag reputation instead I need to replace it. MDBH979SAM0 - Bought this dishwasher from Home Depot 2 years ago and have taken care of it, never abused it or anything. All of a sudden it just starts freaking out, once you start a cycle it will wash and then rewash and then keep going costing us money on electricity, water and wear and tear on the machine. Ive tried everything but it seems like its just stuck in start mode. The indicator lights on the panel flip out too, they will all blink randomly. So when I close the dishwasher and dont intend to start any cycles and it is off it will start up all on its own so Ive had to unplug it. Funny how I called to order a control panel part and its on back order... Very interesting how they are out of this part probably because everyones ordering it.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator serial # K11101146 and model # MBL2258XES1 on 5/7/2011. We started seeing puddles on the floor about a month ago coming from the bottom freezer. The warranty on the refrigerator was only good for a year. We investigated it further online and saw that a lot of other people were having the same problem. We found a video on Youtube on the solution, which was to tear the bottom frig apart (which is a pain and takes about 3 hours to complete) and to thaw out all the ice accumulated on the coils and run hot water down the drain until that thaws out. It makes a real mess. Now we see that this will probably have to be done again and again from others online who are having the same problem. We never had this problem with any of our refrigerators or any problem with them for that matter. Our last one was a 15-year old Amana and we wanted a more energy efficient refrigerator. We bought this one at Home Depot thinking that this one would last us for the rest of our lives. We are in our mid 60s now. This should not be happening at all especially as much as we paid for the refrigerator. I contacted Maytag and they more or less said, “Sorry about your luck.” I hope something can be done about this, especially for the amount of complaints filed. Unfortunately I did not take pictures but if it happens again, which I understand from other complaints that it will. Thank you.

I purchased the Bravos X washer approximately 13 mos ago. Washer was noisy and has deteriorated since installation. I questioned the ability of a non agitator appliance getting close clean but was assured it would. Not the best if clothes are just moving against clothes. The machine had a difficult time in between adjusting to wash balancing a 3x event upon starting. It leaked intermittently during spin cycles and stopped due to unbalanced loads, sometimes refilling and stopping again. Now it wont spin at all, circuit board problems! This is my first and last Maytag. The company will most likely not balance/compensate on the purchase price (like the Bravos X) because it is beyond the 12 mos warranty.

I contacted Maytag online on 08/02/14 and didnt hear back until 8/13/14 to say that there was no known issue and all they could do was recommend a repairman. I also called before I heard back via email and they said the same exact thing, there is no known issue and we can do is recommend a repairman. I am not interested in repairing. Been there, done that. Not doing it again. I researched the issue of the 3 far right buttons not working and there are several forums and discussion topics out there. I purchased Maytag washer, as it was rated the best of the best at the store. First of all, Delicates cycle washes exactly like Normal. All my sweaters got ruined as the agitation is VERY HARD. I dont think the manufacture even knows what that cycle means! Absolutely awful! Theres no difference between Delicates and any other cycle!Second, Deep fill cycle. If you select off on that cycle the clothes get hardly damp. HOW can you wash hardly damp clothes???? If you go with Deep fill, the washer is supposed to weigh your laundry 1st and ONLY pour the water according to the weight. Well.... you can put only 5 small items and the washer fills all the way to the top! What the hell is this???? How can few items fill such a ginormous washer???? It doesnt work! Im so pissed and want this washer out of my laundry room!

After two years of dealing with this awful washer, I felt compelled to write a review. I have had $50 rebuilt washing machines, as well as new ones from the bargain aisle. They worked very well for us. But when it was time to purchase a new one, we wanted a washer with a larger capacity and ended up with this boobie prize. Honestly, whoever designed this washing machine should be ashamed. I cannot believe it made it past the testing stage! Blankets and quilts roll into a ball and never get clean, detergent gets trapped inside this ball of doom, the simplest dirt on clothes survive the cycles, and forget trying to clean stains. I scrub them out, then use the rinse cycle. JUST AWFUL!!! Honestly, this is THE WORST and most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Stay away from it.

Purchased our Maytag Centennial Washer Model MVWC400XW4 2 years and 5 months ago; guess we are luckier than most; it has now failed in the spin cycle, high pitch, high volume whine, sounds like it is about to explode. Needless to say is out of warranty; and too expensive on our limited income to have a technician repair. I will hope to make the repairs myself; nothing to lose at this point; and from reading the countless negative reviews about this product; should be as many countless repair suggestions on YouTube. Obviously if Maytag would stand behind/up for their product as they claim they do; I and many others would not have these issues. My wife and I for sure will never buy another Maytag product until Maytag resolves the issue, which if my calculations are correct will be never. My advice is simple, do not buy Maytag products.

We bought this washer in February of 2010. We had the pump replaced under warranty in January of 2011, and the pump appeared to have a hole in it from some type of hard object that had gotten inside the pump and damaged it. We then replaced the L-shaped hose between the tank and the pump because it had a small hole in it - very thin rubber. Last week, the washer was leaking again and the service technician said that the pump housing was cracked due to a penny rattling around inside the pump. This washer performs very well when it is working but it seems to be too fragile to handle on normal usage. The Whirlpool washer we replaced with this one ran for 23 years with no problems before it finally went out. From all appearances, it seems that every failure we have had with this washer has been due to damage from foreign objects getting trapped in the pump. Is there no screening mechanism to prevent hard objects from entering the pump? This seems to be a design flaw more than anything.

Wish there was some way to secure all dishwasher under the cabinets better. It tips forward slightly, but gets caught on counter top, so it won’t fall over. The dishwasher itself is truly amazing. I love the stainless steel inside. I ensure I use the dishwasher cleaner on hottest cycle once a month. I have no odors. Both racks hold up well and the silverware tray has never given me any problems. I even like the thin little third top rack, which is where I lay my larger flat knives or spatula. As long as I use the finish dishwasher cleaner, the dishes come out sparkling. And a few times I have forgotten to fill the finish container, the dishes still sparkle. My teenagers do the dishes a few times a week. They don’t wash them off ahead of time. On occasion I have to pick a few pieces of corn or food out of the bottom, but the dishes still sparkle and the leftover food caught on the drain, well it looks clean enough to eat. I would definitely buy it again.
