My 1 year old Maytag Bravos 300 dryer caught fire on Nov. 21, 2011 after the first one was replaced. Firemen came. Luckily, it didnt spread to the house. The first one wouldnt dry my clothes.

I bought a Maytag Top Loader. I soon discovered that it is not possible to do a cold water wash. After much communication with Maytag Customer Service it was determined that there is no way to bypass it. And it uses a lot of hot water, even on a cold wash. Their explanation was that the water needed to be a certain temperature to make the detergent work effectively. The same detergent that I’ve been using for 40 years with cold water in my Speed Queen. When I need to do a cold water wash, I go to my parents home and use their washer. Disappointing purchase, my last Maytag, for sure.

Purchased in 2013, they have replaced the control panel twice in 2014 and AGAIN 2015, now WAITING for the replacement control panel AGAIN. Maytag claims there are no recalls on this dishwasher model number. But after reading all these reviews why is there not a recall. Maytag is of no help when you call. They claim as long as they keep replacing the control panel it still can be repaired. This can be extremely costly WHEN THE CONTROL CONSOLE PANEL keeps breaking. Obviously there is a major problem with this part and why is Maytag not recognizing this issue.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos XL MVBW755DW Washer and MGDB755DW Dryer in July 2016. Shame on me for not making my complaint sooner. They offer the Tide Pods for use but they dont completely dissolve and leave a residue/stain on the clothing. I have to wash everything on Deep Water Wash just to try to get them to come clean. Clothes will come out dry in some spots, they will have fabric softener stains on them, the pre-treated stains are still there once washed. Lint residue will be left on just about every piece of clothing. The fabric softener/detergent dispensers left side is rusting and I have to pull it out and clean it once a week. I cant get to the track on the inside to try to clean it and soon that will deteriorate and the dispenser will no longer slide into place. If I could attach pictures I would. Now moving on to the dryer, it dries clothes great. My only complaint at this point is that when the cycle is getting ready to shut off it sounds like a jet engine and rattles terribly. To sum this up, I called customer service this morning. They said nothing that I am explaining to them sounds as though it is a manufacturers defect. They said they will send a tech out to review at a fee of $99.95 plus the cost of any labor associated with the repair. They did however offer to pay for the parts. Now my question to them is if none of my issues are a manufacturers defect then why would you offer to pay for the parts? The unit(s) are no longer under warranty... Think twice, gather as much information as you possibly can prior to making a major purchase. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

This review is pretty simple, if you have kids, do not buy this washer! I just went to the local wholesale guy after almost 8 months of using this POS, and spent $200 on a older agitator machine, after the first load my 7 year old close came clean of dirt! There is literally no water and the motion of the drum, it is almost impossible for this machine to clean clothes. I really am surprised that no one has started a class action. And to anyone saying the are hog farmers and work outside and get dirty? I would love to see it first hand. I am going to post on YouTube and show what this machine really does. Think about this before you buy, We all get hooked on how big it is, thinking you can do 4 loads at once, but trust me the low water thing is real! How do you clean clothes with no water! You will regret this purchase. And I am a Maytager for life! So disappointing.

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.

Maytag never fails to please me. My dishwasher is so quiet I sometimes have to put my ear next to it to make sure it’s actually working. The inside is stainless steel (those are the quietest) and it has a child lock so my 2 yo grandson can push all the buttons he wants and he still can’t mess things up. I love the high temp and sanitize features and everything is always clean and dry when done. It seems like it takes a long time to run through all the cycles, though. That and no adjustable top rack are the only two things I miss with my previous dishwasher.

We have a Maytag Neptune washer we purchased new in 2001. The Neptune was useless on My mechanic clothes, but good for delicates and blankets so we have an old style washer to clean my regular clothes. The Neptune was at work on a blanket when we smelled it burning. With it unplugged, I got around to investigating the situation and found the motor control was shorted and burned. I tried calling Maytag. I was asking about an upgraded part or recall. They didnt want to help. The representative was condescending and after I listened to her attitude, she said someone would be in touch. NOTHING. Now I see these suits and I guess I understand. My house could have burned down - they dont care. Maytag is garbage and Im sorry I ever thought otherwise.

Bought brand new coin op washer and dryer. Washer had problem from day one. Took in for repair. Maytag warranty covered parts, no labor. Cost me $100.00 on brand new $900.00 washer. Last money they will ever see from me.

I purchased a Maytag dryer (MDE2400AZW) 2 years ago, but have only been using it for the last year - and fairly infrequently, as this is a dryer that my guests use. I called Home Depot where I bought the dryer (along with the washer). I thought I had purchased an extra warranty, but turns out I only had it on the washer - what was I thinking. I wish I had read these reviews before I made my purchase. My local repair man charged me $192.00 for a new heater and his time. Theres a whole 90-day warranty on the new heater!! I sure hope this one lasts more than a year otherwise Ill be buying a new dryer and it wont be Maytag.

Consider all other manufacturers before purchasing a Maytag dishwasher. Our 3 year old model MDB8949SBB1 is junk. The control panel is a joke. Works when it wants to. Do not spend your hard earned money on Maytag.

After purchasing this washer in 2007, the washer started to smell like sewage. At first we werent sure it was the washer and had a company come out to check the pipes. After this and calling Maytag complaining without any luck. We were told to buy affresh tablets and run it through the washer once a month. This last only so long and the smell comes back. Now when the washer goes into the spin cycle it sounds horrible. Again called Maytag without getting any resolve. I will never buy a Maytag again!

Dishes did not get clean. Bowls would stand up when you placed them in the dishwasher, then fall over when the door closed and came out dirty. The rims of glasses were not clean. I had several 3 service calls and changed dishwasher soap several times per their suggestions. I contacted Maytag and was told that the only warranty was for mechanical problems and since the problem was not mechanical there was no warranty. I then went through the Better Business Bureau. The ultimate decision from Whirlpool was It has been determined there are no defects with the dishwasher and the issue is use and care. Mrs. **s request for a refund is respectfully denied. I have purchased a new dishwasher which does clean the dishes and the Maytag is sitting in my garage gathering dust.

Maytag MBD7749SB - We purchased this dishwasher for close to $800 at Home Depot. After close to 1 year we had to replace control panel. After another 5 months we have to replace control panel again, but product warranty is only 1 year. Now we have to either buy new warranty for ~$250 or replace control panel for same amount. Customer service: terrible. We will not buy product from Maytag again.

This washing machine worked great for just under 3 years. I noticed it wasnt draining completely. Per my appliance repair guy, the bearings were shot & it was going to cost over $300 to fix it. Called Maytag because my owners manual stated I had a 10 yr warranty. Wrong. The warranty only covers the wash basket & the drive motor. Look on Maytags Facebook page & you will see pages & pages of complaints on all of their appliances. Refrigerators, washers, dryers, if its got a Maytag name on it, its broken. Many of these appliances worked for only a year out two before they bit the dust. I went to Maytags fb page & ranted about their poor quality products & Maytags refusal to stand behind their products. Know what happened? They sent me an email stating that theyd reviewed my case yet again & there was nothing they would do. Then they blocked me on fb. Yep. Please please before you buy any Maytag/Whirlpool/KitchenAid product, please dont! Save your money & buy another brand. All Maytag will do is send you a form letter telling you they understand your frustration & you can email them your info, theyll investigate & get back with you. When (if) they respond theyll tell you theres nothing they can do. Basically you are sold, too bad, so sad. I now have a $600 piece of junk sitting in my garage. Im hoping I can get $20 out of it from the scrap yard.

I bought my first Maytag French Door fridge about 7 years ago. When it was two it started running water on the floor. I paid a service guy to tell me a tiny little drain in the back clogged up and stopped coil defrost water from draining out. He fixed it. A year later, the fridge stopped cooling but the freezer was cold. I hired another service man who charged me a mint to diagnose that a fan that blows cold air up into the refrigerator failed. Rather than pay him again, I ordered the part. Heres the joke--the part wasnt available. An older part was substituted. Why? The first fan motor was small to make the energy start requirements--but it was too weak to be reliable. The new motor was an earlier model--almost twice as large and powerful. So much for Energy Start. At exactly 5 years and six months, the compressor went out. Im on year two with the new one. I said to myself they cant all be that bad. Now it is leaking on the floor. I have to disassemble the freezer, remove the inner wall, defrost the coils and clean out the drain hole. Wouldnt smart engineers make an easy way to do that from the back? Seems simple.

Approximately one week ago, the display on my fridge began to flash and ice door flap continuously opens and closes. Upon researching the issue, it seems to be a very common issue and a known defect. One in which was apparently a recall at one point. I was told by a Maytag representative that the recall was from 2007 to 2009 and has since expired. Expired? Its a known defect and should be the responsibility of Maytag to provide the parts and labor to repair the fridge. I asked for a supervisor and was told that one would contact me within 24 hours. Well, about a week later, I never received that call so I called Maytag again. This time I was told by the maytag representative and a supervisor that there was no recall and that it was a Quality issue. A play with words, in my opinion. Anyhow, regardless of the title the issue was given, I was told I would be responsible for the repairs and costs. I attempted to look up the recall on Maytags website and had seen the last two letters of the serial number to my fridge listed under the recall, but when I tried to investigate further, the site referred me to the 800 phone number I had been calling. Now, had this been an issue that was not a known defect and apparently a recall, I wouldnt be writing on this site right now. But, because it is a known defect that maytag is aware of, I think its Maytags responsibility to pay for the parts and labor for my fridge.

Our Maytag dishwasher was purchased new in December 2013. Less than a year later, the control panel needed to be completely replaced. While this first repair was under warranty, the next Complete control panel replacement was not. 8 months later, the same problem and this time the expense of over $300 is out of pocket! The company had no comment and was of no help at all with my customer complaint call. I wish I listened to the warning reviews and never bought a Maytag. Do not buy!

Two months after my warranty expired, the motor burned out on my dishwasher. I called Maytag to see what they would offer, but they would only offer a discount on the actual part. I was so angry I was ready to buy a new dishwasher and forget about them...but I dont have that kind of cash to throw away. After going 5 weeks without a dishwasher (first-world problem) I paid for the part and a repairman to come and fix the dishwasher. Now 3 months later, the touch panel wont work. I am so upset that I wasted the money to fix this piece of junk. I will never purchase another Maytag again.

Wish I had reviewed Consumer Affairs reports. When our old Maytag stove required repairs we decided to upgrade old stove instead of putting money into old unit. Looks like a huge mistake. Not only was there a delay in receiving unit after placing order but oven will not preheat. Two weeks before Thanksgiving we were promised a working unit. Now we are only 2 days from Thanksgiving, 2 repair companies have been at home to repair. Requires new circuit board and a new regulator to repair and no promise we can obtain parts. Now I have to figure out how to feed my family for holiday. I am pretty well done and after reading other reports that they are better in junkyard I think I will try to make them take back this defective Model 8800 product. Sitting in our kitchen unusable for the holidays. Dont buy Maytag as customer service does not exist.

I purchased a Maytag stove model mer7765wb in December 2011. Now its November 2014. My display board caught on fire and its burn out. How can a Maytag product go out within 3yrs. I purchased it from Sears outlet. As Sears customer I am very disappointed in this product. Thank God I was in the kitchen to put out the fire.

I made the mistake of buying the stainless steel bottom freezer (model# MBL2258XES1) approximately 1 year before the freezer started to make a periodic clunking sound. The repairman responded because my year warranty was still active and found no cause for the noise. Fast forward a couple of months later and it started pouring water out onto my hardwood floors!!! Unfortunately it happened while we were away and my floors were destroyed. Maytag wants nothing to do with me. Im so disgusted. I now have to have a towel permanently on my kitchen floor. Nice. I made the unfortunate mistake of buying an Amana dishwasher recently not knowing that they were also owned by Maytag. The dishwasher is a water waster :( This is very disappointing - you try and buy American and you get screwed. If any lawsuits start up, sign me up!!!

Bought a washer and dryer from Lowes in June of 2016. Have had service on the dryer 3X and washer 1X since. Two person household that uses product a couple times a week. Dryer drum stops rotating / temp control fails / buzzer doesnt work / motor freezes up / washer makes loud banging sound at the end of the cycle every time....sounds like someone is hitting it with a hammer....Today I want a local serviceman to replace the motor but Maytag insists that I have one of their reps come out next Tuesday to examine the product and then go from there. I have been on the phone for 45 minutes trying to get them to pay me $128 for the failed motor that I will send them for inspection. They will not cooperate. They are hiding behind some BS policy. I want to inform you all in case you are contemplating a Maytag purchase. I will not purchase nor will I recommend Maytag to anyone.

I purchased a Maytag MDB7749AWW dishwasher in March of 2012. The electronic control on this unit failed in June of 2013 (3 months out of warranty). I have been trying to get a replacement part for over a month; the part is on backorder and unavailable. Whirlpool is unable to tell me when the part will be available. So, I have had no dishwasher for over a month and have no idea when, or if it will be repairable. Additionally this part is $150.00 and another $75.00 to have it changed. So it is going to cost me $225.00 to repair a 15 month old dishwasher that I paid $450.00 for. I have received ZERO support from Whirlpool. They told me today, 7-31-13, that the part is still unavailable and they will notify me in 3-6 business days as to if they can find a part. After seeing all the issues other people have had with this part, Whirlpools total lack of concern or support for the consumer and the cost issue it makes no sense to repair this unit only to see it fail again in a year or so. Basically I have a $450.00 boat anchor. The retailer purchased it from feels bad and is offering me another manufactures machine at a reduced price. Maytag has refused to do anything for me. I will never buy another Whirlpool / Maytag item again and I do intend to add my name to the pending class action suit.

Lets be real and say that people with good experiences dont often end up on websites writing reviews because they are busy enjoying their product! I purchased my set in early 2012 and will admit that initially there was a learning curve with using a washer with no agitator. I enjoy doing laundry and Im really good at it but with this washer I had to change my routine. Always pretreat stains. Deposit clothes loosely around the drum and shake clothes loose before putting them in the dryer. My clothes come out great! I have a child, two dogs and a greasy truck driver man and everyones clothes smell great. I can wash my king bedspread and anything else in my house with no issues. And my washer has never torn any of my clothing, however fragile. I dont iron often and I hand wash nothing.I give 4 stars instead of five for the extra steps to ensure my clothes are clean and wrinkle free. No they dont make things like they used to but thats with all the new stuff. My moms 3000 dollar Samsung set (her washer) isnt working as I write this. Too bad more people with good experiences dont get online and share. Hope this has been helpful.

This is a Maytag Neptune MAH8700AWW. This machine has been repaired a couple of times already and it has a will of its own. When it goes into that fast spin cycle that will kicks in and it starts moving. I wonder if someday its going to attack me. So, last Friday night we put a load in and it went into that fast spin cycle. It was making a noise like an elephant in labor so I looked in the laundry room.... Clouds of smoke were billowing out of the top of the machine. Our house will filling up with washing machine smoke! My husband stopped it, but I think it was a gnats hair close to bursting into flames. He looked into the front of the machine when the smoke dissipated and the entire gasket was in shreds. No more Maytag. Never. Im done.

Maytag Neptune Washer Drum Bearings have once again failed. Last time, I replace the whole drum via diy, cost was about $160 for the part. Now I see that outer drum is $500 +/-. I just may only replace the Seals & Bearings this time OR just part this thing out and buy a real machine without the Maytag name.

We bought a Maytag dishwasher (Model: MDBH979AWS3) in January 2010. In April 2012, the control panel stopped working. A local repairman came out to see it for $160, diagnosed it, and suggested that we call Maytag to see if they would give us the part because it was only a two-year old machine. He did say that the control panel was not a part that was troublesome!Maytag offered an extended warranty for only $287 that would cover the part! The total repair cost was almost equal to the cost of a new machine. Home Depot, when consulted, acted as if they know nothing. After reading about other peoples experiences with this company, I feel that it is no longer an honorable company standing behind its products. In fact, the whole repair process is set up to rip off the consumer.We will now look to purchase the best and cheapest non-Maytag product, not from Home Depot, and throw it away when it gives out, which more than likely will be soon. These companies have finally convinced me to do what I am sure what they have always wanted every consumer to do. Throw it away when it breaks down.

This Maytag refrigerator is a counter depth so a little smaller in the Inside than I would like but fits in my tiny kitchen great. It has an inside water dispenser which is so nice because it keeps the clean look on the outside. It’s a year old and so far I have not had any problems with it.

My Atlantis dryer has never been able to be used on more/less dryer settings, I have had 4 repairmen repair my dryer 3 were while dryer was under warranty to fix the same thing 3 times wiring 4th time, anyway last repairman said my More dry wont work because I never had a sensor installed in my dryer and there is not a place for one so since 2005. Ive used timed dry only or my dryer runs all the time. I am concerned the first 3 repairmen never caught this. I should not have to be responsible for this either. Please have a manager contact me and have them check into my Atlantis Maytag dryer bought in 2005 and all the repair slips sent to Maytag.I used Green Yates in Joplin. Pretty sure. I thought I just had to live with it they would put new parts on I think timer, thermostats anyway can someone tell me for sure or inspect for yourself. I am single and dryer never used that much. We currently have had our Maytag washing machine for approximately 15 years. The first thing we noticed was how user friendly it was. Also, the options that came with our washing machine met all of our needs. The second thing that we were excited about was how quiet it was. Our previous washing machine could be heard at the back of the house and was constantly out of balance. The third thing we noticed was how much cleaner our clothes were. Our clothes smelled better and had less wear thus saving us money. Speaking of which, the machine is an energy saver. One of the most significant attributes I can attest to is how reliable it is. There has never been an issue that required repair services. I am sure our Maytag will be in service for years to come. c

Dishwasher worked fine for the first 12.5 months, and lo and behold 1 month after the warranty expired, I had my first repair, a new motor. A few months later, I had my second problem, the thermostat. A few months later, I called Maytag because I thought that the control panel was probably shot (based on my previous Maytag for which I replaced the control panel 4 times, before Maytag finally agreed to get me a new dishwasher). At that point they sold me an extended warranty which for 300 they would make this repair, and any other repairs for the next year. They have been out 7, yes 7 times, in 4 months. They would probably be out more often, but since it has been difficult to get a repair person out here, more time than not Im washing dishes by hand. Their customer service is horrible, their products worse. Still waiting for the dishwasher to be repaired. They wont send out a different company, even though they have been out here 7 times, and keep coming back. Even when it is repaired, they will not cover the cost to replace the soap bin, the racks, the wheels on the rack, and all the little pieces made out of the same quality plastic as the stuff I buy at the Dollar Store (except when that stuff breaks, it doesnt ruin my hardwood floors). Dont buy a Maytag, roll up some $100 bills and light a match, because you can look at a pretty flame and wont raise your blood pressure dealing with their customer service.

My refrigerator stopped working less than two weeks after purchase. The ice maker failed to produce ice. I feel they sold me a lemon. Yes, I do!

The washer we bought has a leaking drain pump after 3 years. When I called, they initially told me the part has been flagged as a potential quality issue. When I was passed to the next level to deal with it, they stuck to the you only have a 1 year warranty policy. There are numerous websites indicating this has been an issue for these brands. Simply put, they dont stand behind their products.

Its a water saver model, so to really rinse the clothes of soap from the wash cycle you have to give it an extra rinse, which the machine has made available. So I do not know how much water it really saves.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. Brand new top of the line top loader washer. Lid locked mid cycle and couldn’t open it. Called Maytag. Sent a repairman out to fix. Three trips later, 5 parts, and over four months later, still broken. Unable to use washing machine. Been going to laundromat to do laundry. When speaking with Maytag, all you get is a sorry. Now I’m waiting on another part and then schedule another appointment to have guy come install. Maytag would rather replace every part, one at a time, than send a new washer. It is beyond ridiculous for a new washer to have to have all of its parts replaced. It’s a hunk of junk and Maytag will not stand by their product. Worthless company. Will NEVER buy another product from them. Their washer and their service is so far below standards, it’s criminal.

First dishwasher was overheating fried control panel, turns out there was a recall. Got another Maytag at a discount. Thanks for nothing, little over a year, its fried too. Will never own another Maytag product again.

Spent $2,000 on Maytag washer and dryer in September of 2020 thinking we were buying quality and a company that backs their products. Forward to January 2021 and were not able to schedule service through their website. Not able to get anyone to answer their phones. Called what used to be our local Maytag service and they told me Whirlpool took over Maytag warranty service and cancelled all the contracts for local repair shops. So, not only do we have a 4 month old washer I wish we had never bought, we cant even the Maytag to service it under their warranty! Never again...

I am so fed up with my Bravos XL washing machine, that I felt compelled to vent and see if others have the same issue. The first two reviews I read complain of the same thing as I am finding. Some kind of scummy residue on my dark clothes, need to rinse, sometimes soak again to get the residue off. Have tried many different detergents. The guy at the store said try cold water! Yeah right. I use half the amount recommended. We have two boys who play baseball. The seller said this would be a great machine. Id almost consider trying to sell it on Craigslist and buy a good used one with an agitator. Spent a lot of money on a fancy looking machine. Definitely overpriced and overrated. Do not buy this machine!

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

I purchased this machine (Maytag Bravos XL MVWX700XL2 ) about 18 months ago. I was so excited with the looks and the reviews I found on the machine at that time. For the first 14 months I was happy. All of a sudden, it has become the washer from Hades! It twists and almost ruins my clothing. Not to mention, I think it is permanent wrinkles that it puts into things. I washed our comforter on Bulky. The part that must have been at the bottom is completely wrinkled and it also wrecked all of the fill. This was a comforter that it is supposed to be fine to put in the washer. I am attaching pictures in which you can almost plainly see where the comforter was at the bottom. I had a serviceman out a few weeks ago. He said Maytag knows that there is a problem, however, there is no service bulletin that is out yet on it. In addition, he ran all of the codes and told me there is nothing wrong with my machine. That must be why I have to iron almost every piece of clothing in this house. Maytag will hopefully give me decent customer service on this, or I will come unglued. For the price of this washing machine, I expected much more.

I bought a Maytag washer 6 years ago. Energy saver. Less water. Nothing ever seemed clean. Always white streaks and I used liquid detergent. So we went out and bought another Maytag with agitator June 2017. Never drains properly. I will never ever buy another Maytag product.

Model MMV4205FZ3 microwave hood combination. No problems with open door signal yet. However, light over the stove burnt out. When removing, it exploded.No didnt unplug first. Previous microwave didnt have a problem with this. Instructions are useless. Didnt say to unplug and doesnt provide a model number for the bulb. Consequently, we have now purchased 5 different bulbs and they dont work. Tested socket and power is going to it. Rep at Ace Hardware said he had heard about this happening several times and provided what was to be the correct bulb -- didnt work.

In December of 2013 I purchased a Maytag clothes dryer model Neptune. In July of 2014, I was hearing a banging sound as the drum rotated. As a mechanical inclined person that I am I removed the top of the dryer and turned the drum by hand. As I turned the drum I noticed that the stainless steel crimped bead around the drum had separated just enough to hit the side wall of the dryer. I was able to bang down the raised portion of the raised bead. This was a quick fix and there was no more banging as the drum turned around. Then in June of this month it started to make that banging sound again. So I removed the top of the dryer and discovered that the bead separated again and then there was a crack that spread to about 1 1/2 inches. I banged down the raised portion again and this lasted for 2 weeks. That’s when I noticed that the crack spread further apart and actually ripped a hole in the left side wall of the machine and froze in position where it would not turn at all. So I reversed the turn of the drum by hand to allow the drum to turn again. At this point I decided to order a new drum which came to $264.00 which included shipping. When it arrives I will replace the entire drum. Being that Maytag/Whirlpool refused to honor their product because this issue happened after the warranty had just expired and the company didnt want to replace the drum. I have never heard of a dryer drum seal bead coming apart in all my experience with repairing an appliance. No I wouldnt suggest purchasing a Maytag/Whirlpool product to anyone. I feel the company should have done the right thing and replaced the drum. In life if you do the right thing all the time, then there would never be an issue with the consumer and corporation. Always do the right thing and you will never go wrong.

We have had this washing machine almost 1 year and the small problems have grown enormous. In addition to the constant soap residue left on the dark clothes (my guess is its on the light clothes too, but you just cant see it) the washer goes out of balance frequently (they are replacing the suspension, after they said its all working great). The repair man said Im not loading the clothes properly, I need to roll each item of clothing into a ball and then place it in the washer. Are you kidding me, my new machine has special needs? And dont put in too large of loads. What!!! Its an XL capacity but I cant do an extra large load, because half the clothes wont get wet or clean. Maytag blew it big time with these models, I could talk about the dryer too. Maybe next time.

The Maytag Bravos Washer we bought had a stinky odor we couldnt get rid of. We found that clothes had gone over the basket and lodged in the filter above the pump; end of stinky smell. Later, we found that pennies and other small items had slipped into the fins of the drain pump and ground them off. The filter does not keep out of the pump and is not made right to stop damage. I called a local Maytag dealer who said he had a lot of similar complaints. I called Maytag who stated they have no registered complaints of this type and had no fix for it. Avoid the Bravos line of washers - they are not made right and Maytag will not admit it or help you. Bravo for Maytag who are obviously not going to act on it. Make a formal complaint and find if someone has a lawsuit you can join!

The engineering of all these new machines are totally useless. Bring back the old tech. They DRY wash, NO WATER, they take forever to finish, wasting energy, clothing not cleaned. They are very noisy, doing nothing. Time to recall all of these units. They are totally useless.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher with a control panel in September of 2013. In August of 2014, the control panel died and did not allow me to run the washer. In March of 2015, the piece which was replaced died. When contacting Maytag, even when they did the repair the first time, said they were unable to cover the cost because it was now out of warranty. Ive seen several class action lawsuits around the product with Maytag. Do not buy a Maytag. It used to be a quality brand, but is now terrible.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer, the Neptune series and thought I was getting a top of the line, but now the dryer has quit working and the repairman said it is not worth fixing and it is only about 5 years old. So that is what I am so angry about.

DB7749SAM1 Maytag Stainless Steel Dishwasher worked great for 14 months then lights went crazy. My last machine was 30 years old before its motor died. I should have fixed it. Maytag needs to step up and fix this. I will make sure everyone knows from here on out, social media is a wonderful thing. I have not even used it that much - still looks brand new and this is unbelievable. I have seen so many bad reviews now on how Maytag has built poorly designed appliances and then to add insult to injury they will not fix their mistakes.

I purchased a range 5 months ago. It is STAINLESS STEEL. It began to rust. I called customer service and they told me it was cosmetic, so they wont help. I think a stainless steel range should not rust after 5 months. Very disappointed, WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG Again.

I had a tub failure on my washer Whirlpool Duet, which I bought brand new and it lasted 12 years with no problems. The dryer is still in use at my sons house. However, this failure lead me on a search for a set to replace the duet. I did some research and found the Maytag 6.2 Cu. Ft top loader and huge Dryer to match. The set was not cheap and it did have high marks for a great washer. So, I bought them both and had them delivered on 12/30/16. I have read all the owners manual and watched YouTube videos to see how to use this machine with all its pretty lights and sounds. I will concede that the machines look great, very impressive in my laundry room. I would bet it would even be a plus when I go to sell the house.THAT is all the nice stuff I can say. The machine does not clean clothes and I have done all the settings. I have changed laundry detergents, and even tried to add a little more water with a bucket at the start of the wash. (Saw that one on YouTube.) REALLY. That did not work, nor should I have to do that to get it to clean well. The answer seems to be, set the machine on FULL tub of water. So, I tried that for a couple of times and found that the clothes just float around and since they do not touch the Wear Plate they dont get clean. My wife (yes, I am a man that does most of the laundry) said she hates the washer and I was an idiot for buying this expensive piece of metal that does nothing but take up space and leaves spots on your clothes. Have you heard the term Happy Wife-Happy Life. Well not so much for me now.Spending money even $2,500.00 on a washer and dryer seems a little crazy. But I had the extra money and I have always wanted a MAYTAG. These guys know how to make a washer. Boy was I wrong, this machine must be an embarrassment to Maytag. I know I am really shocked that you would sell this machine as top of the line. I am not sure what Maytag will do, but I thought I would give you a chance to make this right. I have attached pictures of the machines installed and pictures of the model number plates. I have faith that Maytag will step up. My wife said this was a waste of time. I purchased a Maytag fridge with a freezer on bottom. As you know there are many complaints regarding ice build-up in freezer causing leakage out onto the floor. I will not purchase Maytag again. For 3 years I have fought the ice buildup and it has ruined my floor! Poor design - should have been recalled!

The machine dries out the clothes so tight that they are full of wrinkles. I am so dissatisfied with this machine, I spent almost $600.00 for this and this is what I get. I also end up with fabric softener all over the clothes. I use the Downy Ball and I just took out my black pants to find blue all over them. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased the machine. They said to get a hold of you. All I want is get a different machine, not an HE. This is beyond anything. Someone should have to put up with, can you help me?

Our oven is 3 years old and the last time I used the self clean option caused the control panel to malfunction. Now we have to buy a new panel. The repair guy online advises people not to use the self clean as this is a common problem!!! What? I cant use that feature? That is so ridiculous!!! Now we have to pay $300. Whatever happened to the Maytag claim to quality and you would never see a Maytag repair man? Something needs to be done about the problem of appliances and electronics being so poorly made and basically disposable.

Bought a new Maytag Over the stove model Microwave from Lowes. It worked fine for a while. Then it started saying open close door. We opened the door and closed it, and sometimes it would work. This went on for a while till it finally would not work at all. Called for repair, the service guy came and took it apart and one of the door switches needed adjusting. He left and it was working, good deal. 2 days later open close door started all over again. We found if we lifted the door when closing it, then it would work sometimes, until one day it would no longer work. We called for another appointment, and got a new company to fix it called ABCO. The service guy showed up and tightened a screw and it worked again, said the other service guy might have forgot to tighten it down. I tried it and it worked. We did not touch it again till next morning and back to open close door again. Called ABCO back and got a new service time for Wednesday next week. Wednesday came and went, called to see why no show. They said we were not on the service list and were very sorry. So we set up a new time for them to show the following week Tuesday between 12 and 3 pm. At 3:49 they called and said sorry, but they were not going to be able to make it today. I told her then get us tomorrow and was told they were very busy and maybe Thursday would be better. I told her we were in line and and should get service before others that came on later. Her reply was maybe Monday of next week was better. After the runaround she said they would try for Wednesday tomorrow, but no promise made. After that I called Maytag direct and they said nothing they could do except make another service appointment. She told me I could get a service appointment tomorrow Wednesday between 8 and 12am or 12 and 3pm. I asked with who this time and was told ABCO who just told me they were too busy to show up tomorrow and had put me on standby. In the meantime I paid over $300 for the Maytag microwave that is never going to need service because the Maytag service man is so lonely. And bought a $ 200 Panasonic counter model so we could have a working microwave. So now we are in over $500 and still no Maytag working microwave. They did send me a letter offering me a discount on extended service plan if I want one. I told them it would be cheaper after the one year runs out under warranty, to just junk the microwave because it has cost me way more in wasted time, waiting for the lonely Maytag repairman to show up. Bottom line do not buy a Maytag Microwave model MMV4205DS-1 unless you just want a good looking decoration over your stove with a nice light, and have plenty of time waiting for the lonely Maytag repairman.

The performance of the refrigerator is disappointing. It was difficult to find someone to repair it when the freezer fan motor went out. It makes noise, shelf space is insufficient. Temperature mechanism often doesnt work properly.

Maytag Bravos Quite Series 300 - We purchased this washer from Lowes on 9-20-11. Weve had trouble with the spin cycle on this machine since we purchased and in December 2014 the washer stopped working and showed the symbol F:51-no part, to be found waited a month for the part; repair fixed and the machine stopped working in FEBRUARY AGAIN same part-still not fixed. Ive always purchased a Maytag but the new washer Im in the market for will not be a Maytag.

Maytag dryer MEDC215EW - This dryer does not dry the clothes without many wrinkles. Sheets just ball up with the inner sheet a mass of wrinkles. Small loads just flop from top to the bottom of the dryer, falling in clumps. I have gone back to having to ironing. Very disturbing!!! I would not recommend this dryer to anyone.

We bought the highly rated Maytag Bravo washer and dryer in March of 2010. In less than a year, the dryer broke down and the drum drive belt had to be replaced under warranty. Last month the washer drum stopped turning. A & E Factory Service quoted $466.87 to replace the bearing that had failed. We have hated this washer since the day we got it. So, it wasnt hard to buy a Samsung front loader and have the miserable Maytag hauled away to wherever badly designed machines go. Trying to wash clothes using high speed spinning instead of water causes excessive wear on the clothes and the machine as well as tying the clothes in knots. It is one of the worst mechanical designs I have ever seen.

I built my home and bought all Maytag appliances. The freezer and fridge knock on wood have been repair free. Replaced control panel on stove for 400.00$. Washer after 2nd repair had to replace 600.00$. Dryer repaired once 95.00$. Replaced dishwasher with a new Maytag. After 2 1/2 years the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher will not work. This is the 4th repair. I have paid for 2 repairs out of warranty. 380.00$ the last repair. I did request some help from Maytag. They said no... My dealer did only charge me for the parts.

The dishwasher is very stylish and looks great in our kitchen. I do wish there was a small knife drawer in top. It cleans very well and is super quiet. I would highly recommend this dishwasher, good value.

I purchased this machine (MVWB765FW0) because I had a good experiences with Maytag in the past. There is a manufacture defect in this particular machine. If I were you, I would not buy it. I’ve lost two sets of bedsheets and my wife had a dress that she loved that got ripped up at the bottom between the agitator and the base of the machine. Maytag knows about the problem and does not have a solution.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago through Home Depot and did not purchase the extended warranty. The start button has stopped working and is not lighting up. I was referred by Pacific Sales, the appliance sales company at Home Depot, directly to Maytag to schedule repairs which I am willing to pay for. After a nearly hour long call between hold times and conversations I was told the service would be scheduled for Thursday or Friday of this week. As we were scheduling the appointment, I was told the computer for scheduling had gone down and to call the next day to schedule. I called next day and spoke with a customer service rep who said there was no record of my call the day before. I gave her all of my information, then she transferred me to another service person who then had no record of my two prior conversations. After giving my info to the this 3rd customer service representative, I learned that a repair could not be scheduled for over a week. I asked to speak with someone about my complaints and was told there was no one I could speak with but that she would pass on the complaint. I asked for a return call or email to confirm that my complaint was received and she said that I would not get that. I then asked for a free service call because of their poor customer service. This was of course denied. The dishwasher has been fine for the short period of time I have owned it but I wont buy another Maytag because of their poor customer service and because the dishwasher has a problem in less than two years. I am just writing this as a warning for other potential Maytag customers.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial washer a few years ago. In my opinion it hasnt worked properly from the start. We went on the low end of price, because we spent a small fortune for GE products that broke after a year and a half. This Maytag hasnt been a much better experience. First it didnt drain and spin clothes, and I was told I was using too much soap. Cut back on the soap and it started working better and going through the full cycle but the clothes never felt or smelled fresh and clean. Now 2 1/2 years in, it doesnt complete the full cycle on its own, AND there is dirt in my washer after every load. My clothes come out with streaks of dirt on them. The picture below is of a pillow case I just took out of the wash! Ive cleaned the washer multiple times, but it doesnt drain properly so it doesnt help. Maytag charges a service fee just to come out and troubleshoot and charges you again to come and do the repair. Im running out of reputable companies these days with washers.

Maytag AquaLift Oven #YMER8880BW - The aqualift technology does not clean the oven. It is sorely inadequate. I bought Maytag because of its reputation. This range should be recalled as should all their ranges with this useless technology. Buyers BEWARE! Do not purchase any range from Maytag which advertises Aqua Lift technology. This purchase has soured your reputation Maytag. I also purchased a fridge with the stove. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again. I recently bought a home that had a Maytag Neptune set. While they were newer than mine, I sold my Kenmore set, dirt cheap. Last night when I opened the washer door to take the load out, smoke billowed out. Im sick about this. There should be a recall on these washers!

Do not buy one. Maytag is unresponsive to repairs or parts that are needed. They are not even manufacturing the part that breaks. If you are lucky, you will find out there is someone who will fix the defective computer board... But Maytag will not tell you. We were without fridge for 4 months... They did not care.

Purchased Maytag washer/dryer in November 2016. Have been dissatisfied ever since. Dryer doesnt dry clothes completely after 90 minutes on high setting. Washer leaves white residue on clothes. Noticeable on dark items. Hardly any water on deep water wash cycle. Bedding just makes a big rolled ball. White powdery residue doesnt come off easily. Rewash, dryer, brushing. Ruining my clothes. Service has been out and they dont appear to know how to correct problem. Maytag doesnt know what problem is and their engineering staff hasnt provided any information on how to fix. Maytag seems very disinterested in helping. They just thank you for being a loyal customer. Not anymore. The attached pictures were taken March 11, 2018.

This is the most horrible washer ever. Within 3 months it would not go beyond sensing mode and never fill or wash. Tech came and fixed it... 3 times. It still happens and I have to jiggle it all around to activate it. Clothes are never clean, dog hair is never washed out... My broken old agitator machine was taken to the dump & I wish I had it back! How do the stores give this machine a good rating?? I cant do light quick washes, I have to wait forever... Our water bill is 2x higher than ever because if I dont fill the tub with deep water, the clothes dont even all get wet. Hate, hate, hate this thing.

Purchased washer in 2015, worked pretty good for 4 years. In 2019 belt, support rods, and control board replaced. In 2020 clutch, pulleys, and suspension replaced, waiting for service technician to replace transmission later this week. I purchased extended warranty thru Lowes, glad I did as the machine literally jumps in the air during spin cycle. Lowes stated I needed 4 repair visits to place a claim for replacement! Machine will not spin properly on high speed. Luckily I have a spare machine in the garage to use while I waited for repairs to be made. However, nothing seems to be correcting the problem. Very disappointed in the Maytag washer.

We bought this range (model MER8700DS 1) March 25, 2015. Manual states when you use the oven first few times odor or smoke may happen and is normal. It also tells you this is not harmful but remove birds to another room because the fumes can kill them. Noxious fumes? Forget about the birds! Had to open up the whole house and go outside. Burned my eyes, throat and lungs. Day after day, repeatedly turned temp up to 400 trying to burn off what we thought might be a coating. No luck.Maytag got very concerned when I explained about the noxious fumes and had someone come out right away. Tech took it apart. He removed bottom (screwed in) plate that covers the bottom heating element. That plate gives the added ability to have 3 racks and make full use of the 6.3 cubic ft. capacity. Under the plate we found bits of insulation. We think that is what we smelt as it burnt up. He couldnt smell anything when he had it up to 400. So off he went thinking problem solved. Well, it still stinks. We will have Home Depot take it back. Oven takes forever to come to temp which we read in many complaints but thought thats minor. Dont know what oven to get instead since Whirlpool makes so many brand names. And other brands all seem to have their own problems.

This washer (Model# MVWB765FW1) will not wash your clothes. Its not designed to give enough water for washing. That means some clothes will still be dry after agitator cycle; seriously. Thank you Maytag for going green! The repairman will tell you the machine is working according to design. That is true but the machine is a fraud as a clothes washing machine. The weight of the clothes in the tub tells the computer how much water to apply; good luck with that. We learned that if we add a bucket and a half of water, the clothes will come clean. Do you want to do that? Maytag used to be a good name.

I have owned a Maytag gas dryer for 10 years now. I have had to replace the idler and belt 4 times now. This dryer appears to be built as cheaply as humanly possible just to get it past its almost non existent warranty. The replacement parts are even worse. The idler has a bronze bearing in it as a wear item. Really??? Why was this never even considered as a part that could be lubricated at least occasionally?Granted, lots of people do not have any mechanical ability at all and just pay through the nose for a repairman to come to their place for any repair then pay dearly for the service but, I DO have mechanical ability so I do all the work myself. That is why I know firsthand about the terrible manufacturing results and the very cheaply built replacement parts available at outrageous prices.

This washer is a piece of expensive junk. It was used sparingly (2 people using it) for 16 months when a repair service had to be called. The estimate to fix the machine ($980) exceeded the initial cost. It did not clean the clothes adequately when it was working. There was a powdery substance on the clothes when they were removed. The clothes were always bunched up and intertwined. Only the proper type and amount of soap was used. I cant recommend this washer to anyone. We were very disappointed since we have always purchased Maytag washers/dryers. Never again.

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher MBD7749AWM on 03/15/12 from Home Depot. The control panel went out on 01/24/12 under warranty. The unit was down approximately 2 weeks waiting for parts and a second service call. Just six months later (approximately 08/05/12), the control panel failed again. Thinking that a trusted American, iconic industry leader such as Maytag would stand behind their product, I called for what I thought would be a covered repair. I explained to a supervisor that their panels have not made it 1 year in service. She assured me there were no out of the ordinary problems with the panels for my model dishwasher in one breath, then stated they were out of parts and on backorder for three weeks. Now the truth comes out, further telling me that the unit is out of warranty and nothing can be done short of sending out a repairman, that I would be responsible for parts and service. After further discussion, she reluctantly agreed to send me the part for free if I arrange the installation and told me that it was very simple to install. When the part finally showed up on my doorstep with no paperwork, it was wrong. When I called and complained for waiting 3 weeks for the wrong part because there was no quality control in their parts and shipping department, all they could do was say sorry. They told me just to keep the part they sent and they would send the correct part. I begged that they ship the correct part overnight and they adamantly stated that was not an option. Maytag stipulates their process only allows ground shipping from FedEx per their contract. Knowing I had no other option, I agreed and waited for 5-day ground. The part showed up 13 days later and delivered by USPS. Apparently, I was lied to again and the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Apparently, Maytag/Whirlpool have an inadequate and poorly trained quality control system in place and their manufacturing and electronic divisions are surly lacking a strong management team needed to go in and clean house. Instead, the whole mess they have contributed to continues to haunt Maytag has continued to be made to believe its okay to produce subpar products while continuing the complete demises of a once trusted American, iconic industry leader all while living on the Lorals of twenty years past.Whirlpool would do itself and this country a huge service by just letting this brand die and thrown on the heaps of scrap steel headed for China where maybe they can copy and fix what they were not capable of.

We have a Maxima washer which is about two years old. The tub around the barrel cracked and flooded the laundry room. The repair person said it would cost more to fix than replace. Very unsatisfied. We are trying to deal with the company but not optimistic.

Dishwasher is just 2 years old. Touch panel is bad, not Maytag of old. Waiting for the corporate apology. Seems to me that this is a common problem and a case of poor engineering. Also seems like a case of the middle American getting worked over by the big corporate giant. Not happy. Will not suggest Maytag to anyone. Not looking forward to having to replace something that should have lasted significantly longer.

I have a fairly new washer Maytag model #MHWE500VW serial #CSY0303991. I need Part # W10415587 doesnt excist for my washing machine anymore. Its been on backorder since Apr-May 2011. Maytag/GE insists that they are not responsible. As long as they can say backorder technically they are not liable for anything and dont really care that me the customer is having a problem and they Blatantly refuse to even investigate. I spoke with a GE supervisor just today and she basically told me wont help you because my appliance is out of warrenty. And she explained to my that my complaint will go into a file that no one will ever see. I searched the internet only to find hundred of other consumers are waiting for this same part. Ive called distributors & manufactuers. Same answer, backorder. My warrenty people are trying very hard to help me but again Maytag/GE refuse to help. Very dissappointed with this company. Wont be purchasing Maytag/GE products again. Wheres that guy in the commercial with nothing to do when you need him??

Machine is very loud. Clothes do not feel completely clean when wash cycle has finished. I have a sense that not all soap has been removed. Dark clothes have streaks of white residue. Must turn clothes inside out before washing. Very disappointed.

I own my oven for 10 years. It still looks brand new. The bottom oven went out and they do not sell the replacement parts anymore. I think its terrible that I had to go and buy a new oven when mine still looks brand new.

Our circuit board has went out twice. The stove is not designed well. The oven vent sends hot air over the plastic panel / circuit board. It melts... The first one was under warranty and the second, only three years later, was not. This is a very expensive part and Maytag will not even talk about giving me a discount.

Please save your money and do not purchase a the Bravos XL MCT Washer and Dryer! I am sickened by the fact that I spent $1,800 on the biggest pieces of junk there ever was. Youd think a company like Maytag would be able to build a product that worked properly. We are getting ready for our FIFTH visit by a service repair company that will only plug in their computers and say nothing is wrong. Well here is what is wrong: Washer does not rinse all of the soap and I have many, MANY, pieces of dark clothing that are ruined because of the white streaks all over. I have done EVERYTHING the service guys have said to do; use less soap; use the deep water wash cycle, etc. etc. There are only two of us in the household so my average load size fills the EXTRA LARGE drum maybe half full so all their advice hasnt worked. It does not rinse the water out of a load of towels (remember there are only two us so not that many towels) and I have to run it through a rinse and spin cycle. Waste of time, energy, AND money. I washed a single coverlet and had to run it through a rinse and spin cycle twice to get the water out! If you use the bedding cycle, it runs for 90 minutes and still doesnt spin all the water out! The dryer is not better either. On average, it takes one hour and ten minutes to dry 3 bath towels, a couple of hand towels and a wash cloth. One of the service people that came out, checked our dryer vent and said everything was hooked up correctly. Talk about a waste of energy!! I would do anything to get rid of these pieces of junk but we spent so much money on them Im stuck until I win the lotto or something! I cannot stress enough that you will be wasting your money if you buy any washer and/or dryer product from Maytag! Believe me, I regret it every day!

I purchased a Maytag French door refrigerator (model MF12569) two years ago. The bottom drawer freezer does not work well. Apparently, the inner tubing of the freezer clogs and it creates huge puddles of water. My floor got damaged and I keep calling Maytag and all I get is their apologies. I purchased an extra warranty which will expire on the third year. I am really disappointed with their product. I see why there are so many complaints filed and what makes matter worse is that they dont seem to acknowledge the problem. Apologies do not cut it. They need to do something to reestablish customer satisfaction.

Purchased Maytag Jetclean Dishwasher Model # MDB7749SBM3 on March 19, 2014 and on June 10, 2017 the washer would not go through the cycles properly. So I got on the internet to check out the problem. Maytag has very flimsy wiring circuit on the back of the control panel that rusts out due to being close to high-temperature water. Obviously a design flaw. The only way to fix it is to replace the control panel for $150 dollars with another flawed part. Do not buy Maytag dishwasher.

Maytag washer Bravos MCT. Let me tell you your guidelines do not help at all. Would someone please tell me how to get my laundry clean when it doesnt even get all the clothes wet? Looks like Ill have to go to the laundromat at least I can get my clothes wet. You should be ashamed to put out such an inferior product. Worst washer ever.

We have had a Maytag Bravos XL top load washer less than a year. Big Mistake. It was JUNKYARD ready when it came out of the box. Does NOT wash clean. Weve tried everything.The agitator looks and acts like a toy. Will not run enough water to wash anything. We had a LG front load before and its hard to get use to having dirty clothes. NEVER AGAIN.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher 15 months ago and was told the control panel is bad. It would cost me $120 to have someone look at it. I might as well buy a new one by the time the parts are added. I called Maytag and they said that there was nothing they could do for me since I was three months past my warranty. Meanwhile, I see all of these complaints about the same problem and Im wondering why there has not been a recall on this. What does it take for that to happen? I will never purchase a Maytag again! Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. All they do is apologize like its programmed in their heads. This feels like a fraud!

I have had this dishwasher for 3 1/2 years. Replaced the touchpad 2 years ago and now the touchpad is dead. I read all the other comments that are similar to mine and am thinking to replace this junk dishwasher. I will not be buying from Home Depot as they are selling cheap products that are defective!

Wow! I wished I had reviewed this page before purchasing a Maytag. We bought a new Maytag Range (#MGR5751BDD) from Menards in March 2008. Within a couple of months, we were out of a stove. I was lighting the burner to make dinner for my family (it is a gas range) and all the burners started making a clicking noise and they caught on fire. Luckily, my husband was nearby and took the fire extinguisher to it.We thought for sure that the house was going to be gone. We contacted Maytag and they had a guy come out (wasnt the friendliest and cted like he could care less). He stated there was wiring that was bad but because we took the fire extinguisher to it we probably voided the warranty. What? He would submit a report to Maytag.Maytag reluctantly gave us some money but not near enough to cover the stove that was only a couple of months old. Now, I cant use the new range that is 2.5 years old. It pops and spurts because the regulator needs to be replaced. The bad thing is by the time we pay for a repairman and the new part, it will cost us a lot of money we cant afford. This stinks.

Maytag 765 Washer - What a disappointment after having a Maytag set for 2 decades only to get a new one that isnt worth much quality wise. 2 new washers in 2 weeks due to a ratcheting noise that they both have. The solution??? Have a third service call only to hear, replace it (which we did) or replace the transmission. The 3rd call coming up will be the same. What good is a new transmission going to fix it when the last 2 machines had New transmissions. Quality??? I dont think so. Oh, I had to buy the second replacement in order to get credit for the first one. This was at Lowes. Is there even a quality washer out there anymore?

Maytag washer not draining properly. Called Aug 15 for help. First tech in on August 23, makes a diagnosis, orders part; no news, I call, am given Sep 15 as next date. Come 9/15, I take off from work, only to find out tech cannot come that day, to reschedule. Next tech comes 9/25 with a different diagnosis and different part to order. By October 3, an announcement that part came in, to make an appointment. By now, its been a month and a half, I am so angry. I call a friend, who fixes it in 15 minutes by simply clearing a clogged drain filter. This is unacceptable: the inordinate wait, incompetent techs, unresponsiveness from customer service. I cancelled my contract with Maytag Warranty/AIG.

Both my washer and dryer are Maytag. Dryer element shorted out but was still under warranty so was fixed. Washer is very loud and now makes a rattling sound. Every so often it will hang in the middle of a cycle and the lid wont open until I unplug it.

Before you purchase a Maytag washing machine...from anywhere (I got mine at Home Depot), think again. This machine doesnt wash clothes, it doesnt rinse clothing. What it does is takes forever to fill up the tub then it doesnt even come close to filling it to where all the clothing is covered for rinsing or washing, then it just stops and sits there for a few minutes (??) and then it proceeds to empty the tub and youre supposed to feel like your clothes were cleaned.Not in a million years will your clothing get cleaned in a Maytag washing machine. Youve been warned...dont waste your money. Go to a used appliance shop, but the best one they have that does NOT have the Govt. regs built into it, and be happy you saved as much money and did NOT have to go through all the frustration and hassle everyone else has that bought a new Maytag washing machine.

I purchased the Maytag Bravo model MGDB950YG on April 22, 2012. It worked great for a while then stopped heating and drying the clothes. After going through the Maytag procedure, a repair person assessed the problem, had to order the part then came back to repair it. But the same thing just happened again! Both Maytag and HHGregg need to go through the appropriate procedures, which leaves me without a dryer for who knows how long this time. Maytag will not do next day service probably because it costs them a little more. I think Maytag should have enough common sense to sometimes make exception to this. Today is Thursday and I cant get an appointment until Monday! I have owned two dryers prior to this which each lasted 10 years plus. I would be much more understanding if I had my appliance for more than 4 months (out of commission 2-3 weeks of the 4 months). Ive never been so disappointed in an appliance!

After 30 months of light use.... two adults in the house, the top of the machine at the ports that allow adding fabric softener and bleach have rusted in a severe way. The machine is rusting away and Maytag customer service will say nothing except, it is out of warranty. I am very sad that I purchased a $719 washer that is falling apart with scant use.... Maytag no longer stands behind the product and I will never buy another one of their appliances again!

This is the worst washing machine I have ever had in my life. Machine started bouncing during the wash cycle and also the spin stopped. Never in my life have I had a machine fail on me like this one. I spent a lot of money on this. This machine should be recalled. I read up on all the complaints. Its a model #Tw6600TQ0.

Why is it when you wash dark clothes they come out with white spots which looks like soap. I have put very little soap and it still appears. I usually wash in cold water so I tried warm water - same result. I have had a Maytag for a least 40 years never had this problem - what is it I am doing wrong? I have to wash and rinse at least 2 more times. I would appreciate a answer so I can fix this.

I purchased the Bravos washer and dryer suite. Since I was a small child I had heard my parents and others alike say that Maytag always had superior products as this is the reason when I was fortunate enough to purchase a new set I chose a Maytag brand. We that was the past and the present products et washers /dryers as the worst ever. I have had my set less than 2 years and today had to go out and buy a used one again. I have had nothing but trouble with these 2 and will never buy their brand of anything again. From the amount of poor reviews it appears I am not alone. I tried several times to no avail to have someone from the company contact me as I was put on hold too many times!
