We purchased Maytag microwave (MMV4205DH1) less than two years ago. Within the first year, the microwave would not work and we would see an Open and Close Door message. We had it repaired and now 10 months later it is doing the same thing. The cost of repairs is high--the same as a new microwave. We have been inconvenienced throughout the holidays by our broken appliance. Disappointed.

The washer 4 years ago we had the control panel replaced at our expense. Now, control panel is going out again. Also this summer I took the dryer apart to snug up some screws that had come lose, that were scraping the inside as the dry ran. I own a range and a dishwasher Maytag brand but will not buy another Maytag unit, even if they are built by my union brothers and sisters.

Double door Maytag 3 years old has been leaking water in freezer floor and forming sheet of ice. After reading the reviews, I may decide to buy a different brand. Why spend more money on repairs! Very bad experience!

Like most people with this Bravos machine, I am 3 months out of warranty and the ball bearing is trash. When the wash goes into spin cycle, it makes a loud clicking noise and takes a few minutes to start spinning. I called service repair and he told me that it was the ball bearing and to talk with them as he has dealt with quite a few high end machines from Maytag that are breaking down after warranty. I should have realized there was a problem when we kept coming up with white spots on our clean laundry and would have to re-rinse clean clothes. This kind of defeats the water saver that is advertised with the machine.Do not buy this product. For a high end washer and dryer, there are many problems. Maybe that is why the Maytag guy is not shown sleeping in commercials any longer. Hes too busy fixing all these machines. Btw, they wont cover the part even though I offered to pay for the service. The best they can do is give me 25% off. Yippee! I cant wait for the other problems to hit me like everyone else.

We purchased the washer and dryer in June 2009. This past weekend, I noticed that the washer was leaking. The price to fix it is half of what a new machine will cost. I am very disappointed in Maytag. When I purchased the machines, I thought I was purchasing a quality product. Ive had paid much less for washers that last longer. Needless to say, I am shopping for another washer this week and it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool. They are pieces of junk!

My machine is only 14 months old and will not even turn on. I opened the lid, and the tub was filled with water and the wet clothes sitting in there. There were only 6 items in there: 3 school skirts and 3 school pants, dripping wet. So I unplugged the unit to try and clear the circuit board - to no avail. The machine will still not turn on. The lights are on, the sensor turns on for about 3 seconds and shut off and everything just sits there. I did not get the extended warranty. My mom still has her Maytag she bought 30 years ago and its running like a champ. Wish I could say the same. I gave my sister my old Maytag - its 25 years old and its still running like a champ. This machine is a LEMON. I will never buy another Maytag again. I am so done with this brand. I hope that a Class Action suit is filed against them.

Purchased a Maytag side by side MSB27C2XAM00 in June 2014 to replace a 20 year old Kenmore. After 14 months the fridge stopped keeping things cold in the food compartment and in the freezer. And, the water and ice dispensers stopped working. Called Maytag and they confirmed the fridge was 2 months past the warranty and the best they could do was offer an extended one-year warranty for $325 and set up an appointment. I declined and called a local repair company. They responded promptly and discovered the problem was a bad board. Had to replace the board at a cost of $475 (parts and labor). It was $150 more than the extended warranty but I was already in the hole for $100 service call and I was able to get the fridge repaired on the spot. I had the Kenmore for 20+ years without one repair. Maytag was good for one year and 2 months. Dont know how this company will last with a $2000 product that lasts a year. I can not recommend this product and advise anyone in the market for any appliance to avoid Maytag products.Updated on 11/20/2015: After the board was replaced, the fridge worked but was not keeping either of the side by side compartments cold. They were cool but not cold. Repairman returned. Said it was the compressor which needed to be repaired/replaced. Maytag said the compressor was under a 10 year warranty unlike the other parts of the fridge. Good news, Maytag covered the cost of the part / but bad news that it broke after 14 months of use. However, the service people told me the cost of the compressor was the smallest part of the repair. Labor and service would be costly and Id be better off getting a new fridge with a 5 year warranty contact. After I got over the initial shock of having to toss a 14 month old fridge that cost $1500 and complaining to Maytag, I went to Lowes and found a replacement fridge. This time it was not a Maytag. Moral of the story stay away from Maytag. Dont be fooled by the brand. Avoid them at all costs. And purchase a fridge with a 5yr+ warranty contact!

We do not use the range daily. Our household consists of only two persons. First time we operated the self-cleaning feature on the oven the outer pane of the double glass pane door had what appeared to be grease stains and dirt. In as much as it is a SEALED double pane glass door there is no access to the outer pane to clean it. The double range was only 16 months old and was purchased at RC Willey in Henderson, NV. We also purchased ALL Maytag appliances for our kitchen i.e. refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer on the same date. In addition we purchased furniture for the entire house at RC Willey. The Service Department at RC Willey advised me to access the Whirlpool website for assistance or to call an independent service repair contractor at my expense. THANKS MAYTAG! After having had your laundry appliances for over 30 years, without any service problems whatsoever, I was lulled in a false sense of security over the quality of your appliances. Now I have a household full of Maytag appliances and am at the mercy of independent service repair contractors.

The lonely salesman in the Maytag commercial for their washing machines says it all. The first Maytag washer we owned we used for 20 years and during that time had only a belt break one time which we replaced and used for a few more years. We then moved to a new home in 2006 and decided to purchase a new Maytag.

Bought top of the line Maytag Commercial Technology washer because it was supposed to be the most advanced on the market. My experience has taught me that advanced does not equate to efficient, effective, and expedient. The washer settings for an average load (sheets or towels or clothing) is about 111 minutes per load (nearly 2 hours!!). To adjust to what would be a quick wash is about 25-30 minutes BUT the washing part of that is only about 5-7 minutes. I feel like a Pioneer Woman because I must spend most of a day to run four (4) loads of laundry (sheets, towels, dark clothing, white clothing). This is extremely frustrating!! I am sorry I purchased this product.

It was alright for a while. Then it started ripping up my clothes. The machine is not overloaded, enough water has been added but, when I take the clothes out they are torn. Not a good experience. I have seen several reviews on the Centennials, none of them good. What is the problem. I am hoping my experience gets resolved.

How many times do we have to go without a washer? We have to wait on service to check/see how many times it has to be fixed. This is since we bought it.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial MVWC360AW washing machine on July 11, 2013 at The Home Depot. I assumed that I was getting a good product based on my Moms old Maytag washer. This machine is the farthest thing from quality that I have ever experienced. My Mom would roll over in her grave if she knew how CHEAP Whirlpool has built---what is supposed to be a---Maytag! The machine worked fairly well, at first. Even though I didnt like the low water arrangement. I like clothes to be fully immersed in water! That went on for 2 years and 5 months, until NOW the led light goes to Rinse, but it wont agitate. Then the led light goes toSpin, but it wont spin! I called a local appliance repairman and he told me that the control is bad. They cost about $250.00. Its not worth repairing!! So, Im stuck with this piece of junk! Shame on Maytag/Whirlpool for building a PIECE OF JUNK!

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator about two years ago because of the Maytag quality hype. The ice maker has been leaking almost from day one and I need to clear out the ice from the bottom of the freezer every few weeks. Now the thing has quit cooling all together. I contacted the Maytag website and they recommended a local authorized repair firm. I took a day off work to meet the service provider. After checking the fridge they informed me that the problem was with the sealed system and that they could not work on it, and that I would need to contact Maytag to get a real Maytag repair person to come and fix the thing (right back where I started). They were however more than happy to charge me $70.00 for a service call. I tried the Maytag 1 800 number which was a nightmare and it finally hung up on me. I then went back to the website and managed to get a service appointment in two weeks (had to wait for a Saturday appointment because I cant afford to take another day off work). I just hope that this time it will actually be someone who can fix the thing and not charge me just to refer me back to Maytag again. I am not happy with the so called Maytag quality or their BS methods for providing service. Caveat Emptor if you are contemplating a Maytag appliance.

A few weeks after I purchased my Maytag MEDC300 dryer in April 26, 2009, I noticed it gradually did not dry as hot as when I first used it but the element did not go out totally until April 2011. Now its November 2011 and the element is out again. Maytag is sending a service man, of course I have to wait until Monday, I am now inconvenienced 2 times in a year.Theres also what appears to be a burn mark on the back of the drum. Two years ago, I paid more than $400.00 for this thing and when it does work, you have to run it over and over again to dry your clothes. Wow! really energy efficient. What a piece of junk! I had my old dryer 10 years before an element went out. I did buy the Lowes protection plan that was sold with a No Lemon Policy. If the product requires more than 3 repairs for the same failure, theyll replace it, it says in the front of the brochure.In the small print on the back, it states 3 repairs for the same failure in one year. These companies are making money off us consumers who buy Maytag because of the name and what is supposed to be quality, and are ripped off by these insurance programs that say one thing but another in the small print. Big business is nothing more than robbers who get away with robbing the hardworking American people. When is it going to stop?

We had a Fisher & Paykel Washer that lasted 14 years. This Maytag Bravos XL washer has been the worst machine I have ever owned. The clothes come out dirtier than ever. In todays world all technology is becoming disposable, Where is the Maytag repairman now? I have tried all of the settings, to have a decent wash. I am ready to throw this out. Lowes you need to do something about this. It may be made in America but now we know why Japanese and Korean electronics just work! Damaged Clothes/Clothes not being washed thoroughly enough are my biggest pet peeves with this washing machine.

Purchased new Maytag Refrigerator from Mannys in Western MA. Top freezer, over $900.00. Never has worked correctly. We need to turn the freezer way up to freeze the ice cream and it forms frost all around the freezer with mini icicles hanging! But even worse... no matter what setting you put the refrigerator on it ruins your food by freezing everything. The only safe spot is in the deli drawer. I have thrown away hundreds of dollars worth of food that is destroyed because it froze in the refrigerator.A service man from Mannys came and ordered parts. He came back and said they were the wrong parts. Now he says that the refrigerator has a problem and Maytag is trying to come out with a plan on how to fix it. I talked with Maytag (took 44 minutes to get someone on the phone). The manager in service was rude, said they dont replace food and they would work on fixing it. 2 weeks later... no calls from either place. I called Mannys and they said they should have some news by next week. In the meantime I dont have a refrigerator that works! NEVER BUY A MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR!!! It is still under warranty and I asked for a new refrigerator... both Mannys and Maytag said no way.

Havent even used the range yet and the paint is peeling off of the top. I have had the repair guy out. The new top piece of the range arrived with peeling paint also. I put in a claim to have the range replaced and was told they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. That never happened and so I called again. They said that they would call and, of course, it didnt happen. I paid $1,300 for a stove that looks horrible with the paint is peeling off of it. What kind of ** is Sears selling? Maytag is owned by Whirlpool and nobody wants to make this right.

Maytag washing machine Model # MHWE500VW - 2 control boards only last 4 years. I paid top dollar, $1229.00 to be exact and the parts and labor are $659.00 with no guarantee that there wont be further problems. Technician told me that this is typical of Maytag products. Contacted Maytag and they told me to take a hike and have a nice day. I will attempt to get some help from the place of purchase, Hamai Appliance, Maui, Hawaii.

Maytag Bravos XL MVWB980BGO. To start, I live on an acreage so some problems may be related to being on well water. The most annoying part is the washer doesn’t have a drain & spin without rinse. So, when my well pump started acting up, I had no way to just drain & spin off the load, so I had to try to lift thoroughly soaked clothes and try to dry them...which took about four hours. Another aspect that is a pain is uneven loads. It keeps trying to fill, instead of just stopping & letting me adjust the load myself. Then the damn thing won’t reset. I often have to resort to unplugging the machine and starting over. High efficiency is a joke. I’ve had the machine about five years now and it goes low flow error, even though the flow is fine. I’ve tried running cleaners through the water line and it’s still doing the same thing. The only thing left to try is take the machine out and try and manually go through the lines. For the amount of money we spent on this machine, I am thoroughly disgusted with how it runs. It is the first & last Maytag washer that I will ever buy. Next time, I’m buying as cheap & basic a machine as I can buy. On the upside, the dryer works perfectly.

Bought Maytag dishwasher 2007 at Lowes. Model mdbtt60aww-37837606ll manufactured in Benton harbor, Michigan. First got a recall that something was faulty, could cause fire, needed replacement. Took 2/3 weeks to get repaired. So couldnt use. Never quite cleaned good - many times had to rewash silverware, glasses. Never took off food unless very well rinsed. Today the control panel went. Called a local repair he said, Dont even fix. Toss and get a new one because its too costly to repair. I asked what should I get. He said no GE, they are getting out of appliances, no Samsung. Hes got whirlpool so guess Ill give that a try. In the past Ive had dishwashers 20 years, appliances 20 years. This junk lasts a year or two. Plastic cracks. None of these appliances are great anymore. Doesnt matter who you buy. Someone needs to get some quality control on what these companies are peddling .

I purchased a washer and dryer model MAH8700AWW. In 2005, I purchased the extended warranty. In 2009, I had to replace the main control board and motor on the dryer. Now, I find out that the washer has a warped drum which caught on the door boot and messed the shaft up. I didnt know that it has probably been that way since I purchased it because every time I washed clothed, I had to stay in with it because when it would go to spin, the washer would walk out into the middle of the room. I called about it and they told me to put rubber pieces to hold it still. Now it is going to cost $ 821.95 to fix. That is more than I paid for the washing machine and Maytag will not help to fix it. I would like someone to contact the company and find out why they dont stand behind their products anymore.

I purchased two high end Maytag machines, one washer and one dryer, approximately 36 months ago. I did not buy the extended warranty because I was foolishly convinced Maytag sold reliable products. The dryer required service twice within the first 18 months. The washer, which is computerized, is almost unusable. The sensors dont work properly. It does not spin without continual restarting the machine. It takes me hours to wash one load of laundry, and even then it is not spun properly. I wrote Maytag headquarters twice via e-mail, with no response. Even though their website says someone will get back to you within three business days. I called Maytag on August 12th and was told there is nothing they can do because I didnt purchase the extended warranty. So the bottom line is you can spend thousands of dollars on their machines but dont expect them to last, or work. And Maytag will not stand behind their products.

This Maytag Dryer (Model #MEDP575GWO) was delivered January 29th and the paint on top of the dryer is bubbling and peeling. I haven’t even had the unit 4 months yet and they tell me the warranty for “cosmetic” reasons is on 30 days. This is completely unacceptable and I will sue them if necessary. I am in utter disbelief.

we have trouble with maytag doublre oven. the oven is over 100 degree off set temp and is not consitant. some times high some times low. we have had ae repair out they relaced control board and circuit board same problem still exists. we had turner repair out they took a reading when it hit desires temp but did not stay to see temp rise above or below set temp. turner repair another tech order a temp probe the turner tech put in probe and jst left didnot even check oven. he was pissed off I quess. same problem still exisits. We bought stove from Nebraka furniture mart the said theyont support repair after 30 days. we hope and pray that the tech will report to Maytag (Whirlpool) that the stove is bad and we can get a new one. So far no repair action has helped. We had a repair person out to repair a leak on a whirlpool washer . he also is qualified on stove but not a whirlpool repair authorized repair person. He checkedd the stove and said it is 100 degees off and we need to get a new one. After speaking to a Kim today... Im more than angry. The control panel on my dishwasher is broken. Had repair come out and they told me a few months past warranty. Kim tells me the only thing still under warranty are the racks?! Im extremely angry at the poor service we are receiving but pleased as we have cancelled the washer and dryer (Maytag). If youre thinking of going Maytag or Whirlpool, cancel! Not worth the headaches or cost.

We purchased all new Maytag appliances when we built our house. So far, the stove/oven has quit working and been repaired 3 times; its always the ignitor. The dishwasher has been fixed twice. The washer no longer spins out as it should. The refrigerator and dryer so far have run okay. I am definitely going to change brands with my new appliances. I will not purchase Maytag again. Its not what it used to be. I will do without oven this time, until I can buy a new one. Also, the dishwasher door has had problems from day 1, and now, it will not close at all. It seems like its off the hinge. Definitely, its not the Maytag of years ago.

Purchased the Maytag Aqualift self-cleaning oven and this feature doesnt work at all. I would have never have made this purchase if I knew the oven would not self clean. This technology with the water in the bottom to self clean is pathetic! I thought maybe it wasnt working and called for a repair since it was under warranty. The service man told me not to expect it to clean like a regular self-cleaning oven. But I complained that it did nothing at all! So now I have a self-cleaning oven that I have to clean myself!

Thankfully, Home Depot replaced the washer when Maytag wouldnt authorize a replacement after I had it for 3 days. Maytag wanted me to order a part, wait for the part, and then schedule their third party service contractor. It’s been about 2 weeks without a washer. Ive been posting about my experience and received an email from Maytag asking me to post feedback on their site, but it was rejected. Their note to me was “Our publication guidelines do not permit content that references a service policy, customer service interaction, or customer service question.” In other words, theyre not at all interested in customer service. Maytag/Whirlpool is no longer the brand to look for.

I bought a Maytag microwave model mmv4203ds00 on May 2010. On 8-20-10, the microwave stopped working. It was serviced under warranty. However, on 10-31-11, the microwave stopped working again.

I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... It suppose to save on your water and electric bill but no savings for me considering I have to wash items 2 or 3 times... I hate this washer and I paid a lot of money for nothing coz that’s what it does - nothing!!!

Maytag products are a waste of money! I purchased a Maytag Front Load Washer a couple of years ago during the Cash for Clunkers rebate where we were asked to give up our reliable machines for so called energy efficient new models. After spending over $1,000 on this fancy front load machine and having it installed, I go to use it the first time and it won’t work. It took me a month to get someone to come and repair the bad board on it. I then started to use it and after a year, the thing started making a horrible loud noise. I called the repair folks and they told me it is out of warranty. I called a local repair guy who told me that the drum is shot and that it will cost $700 to repair. So I got a total of 10 months of use out of this stupid thing. Thats $100 a month to do my laundry! I would be better of dry cleaning! I have searched the web and see that this is a common issue and that Maytag refuses to make this right. Well, I can choose to never buy a Maytag again. I hope that others will heed our advice and do the same.

I need a new circuit board for a $2500 refrigerator. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend when the ice chute started opening and closing and lights on door panel flashed like crazy. I called Maytag, who set up a service appointment for me for Monday. The tech came at 6pm and said there was nothing he could do without a part from Maytag and left. I proceeded to throw out all spoiled food and load a cooler with ice. I called Maytag, and they said it will take about a week to receive the part and have service. I have children in the house, and we live in Miami. I said that I would pay for overnight delivery of the part, and they told me it couldnt be done. I called this morning for a tracking number of the part, and they told me that it wasnt sent out as of yet. According to the internet search, this is a problem with a considerable amount of model number MF12568AES, and I should have been notified by the company. They claim it is a special project, not a recall.

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot 2 years ago and the first year I already had problems. The second year there was ice on the bottom freezer I called Maytag. They claim a technician needs to come out but cant tell me how much it is to come out for an estimate. After they come out they tell me how much it was. Everyday I have ice or water from the freezer. I had also purchased my stove which very easily has been all scratched and considering that I hardly ever cook, I figured it would look new for years. I will never buy another Maytag appliance!!!

I bought a washer and dryer a few months ago from Home Depot Maytag. My clothes do not come out wrinkle-free. They are very wrinkled, to the point where I have to iron the perma press. The dryer I just got rid of was 30 years old, and always got the wrinkles out of the clothes. So I am very disappointed in the way yours works. I dont know what you can do, but this is not good. We went to Lowe’s to buy a new washer when our old front loader would’ve cost more to repair than was worth it. This Bravo XL washer is the biggest rip off EVER!! I, like others, have watched with a flashlight & see that most clothes are nowhere NEAR being wet AT ALL!! Let me tell you... I am BEYOND LIVID!! I bought this washer thinking we could wash our comforter at home instead of a laundromat and WHAT A JOKE!! It would never even wet a FOURTH of a queen comforter, let alone the whole thing!! My husband had to actually LEAVE HIS JOB to go home and change because his shirts smelled like a wet animal! People actually were commenting on the smell!!Believe me, we tell EVERYONE how ridiculous this whole energy saving scam is!! AND... I am having to wash clothes TWO and THREE times to get them NEAR smelling normal!! My electric bill and water bill have gone up substantially and again, I AM LIVID BEYOND WORDS!! We spent over $900 for this washer with the extended warranty!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN WOULD I BUY MAYTAG!!! And I have tried EVERYTHING to try to rectify this; I added less detergent, I’ve used the deep water wash, extra rinses. I’ve had the Maytag technician here replacing the circuit board thinking perhaps THAT would give me more water. I sure wish we could all do something for SO MANY of us being taken advantage of!!! Did I mention I’m FUMING?!!?

We purchased a full house of Maytag appliances to support American Made (ourselves). It is very disappointing that our Maytag dishwasher Model # MBD 89595BW3 has completely quit functioning properly. All the lights came on and nothing worked after that. We contacted Maytag and was told to turn off the power and restart after 2 minutes which did absolutely nothing. No problem - try again. Again, nothing. The disappointment is compounded by the fact that this dishwasher is only 2 years 7 months old. It is too bad that an American Made product didnt last long enough to show any wear and tear. Investigation to repair resulted in cost prohibitive investment. So sorry Maytag, we gave it a shot. Moving on to a more reliable rated brand.

We purchased this double-oven range (model: MGT8775XW01) about 5-6 years ago. It came with some slight bubbling on the plate that the control knobs go through/are mounted onto. A few years later, the bubbling paint began to chip/peel off - revealing rust (its a white range). I bought some touch-up paint, but that didnt look very good. Now that entire plate is bubbling and peeling and makes the whole range look like crap. My wife swears well never buy another Maytag product...EVER! Shes ripped! I cant seem to find the replacement part to purchase. Lousy products!

I purchased my Maytag and Im not happy. There is agitator in center and it seems to always tangle up my clothes and has torn several garments. And there is no fabric softener compartment but there is the one for bleach. If I had to do over again I would have several compartments for bleach and softener, and no agitator in center. But I made the purchase and it does clean the clothes but they usually in a ball when and tangled when complete.

I purchased a Maxima washer and dryer set, along with the pedestals. I had the set delivered to the new house the kids and I are moving into, but didnt use it for 2 weeks as we had not moved in yet. Guess what? I used the dryer 1 time and the drum stopped working. I called and got tech out. Motor is not working. They had to order a replacement, then back again to replace. Guess what? Less than a year later, same thing happened and another two visits from tech, motor was replaced. Get the pattern? And now, less than 2 years after purchasing and another two visits, motor drive and control board were ordered. They have not been installed yet. I have sent emails to Maytag and on the second one, they actually called me. The lady didnt think there was anything wrong with the fact that it broke after the FIRST use. Her reply to me was, But we fixed it... At this point, 2 years and 6 tech visits, three new motors and a control board, not to mention my time taking off from work and being held hostage waiting for the tech, they could have replaced it and saved themselves some money. They have lost all credibility. I am about to try regular mail to a supervisor. Wish me luck.

My Maytag dishwasher MDB780AWW2 was recalled due to electrical problems. They gave me a voucher to purchase another one, plus I had to pay another installation fee. New unit was installed in February 2011, and here I am with a control panel issue. Seems like a similar problem, too. The lights light up, but the dishwasher wont start. Its another $345.00 plus tax repair by a repairman.

Let me make it simple for you, DO NOT PURCHASE A MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL product. Maytag/Whirlpool believes its products should work for 1 year and then become obsolete, at least this is what the Maytag/Whirlpool customer service line told me. I purchased a MVWB950YW (Bravos XL) top loader on September 4th, 2012 for $948.00 plus $99.00 for an extended warranty. The washer worked marginally well when it was brand new. June 2014, the washer in spin mode started to sound like a freight train was about to run through my house. When I called for service the service company immediately signaled it was a bad bearing and offered me $500 to put towards a new or refurbished Maytag!!! They claimed if they were to repair the machine it would VOID the extended service contract?? I wanted the washer fixed, I did not want to spend more money to buy a new machine. I continued to use the machine as is, with the incredibly loud noise. June 2015, the same machine starts to leak water and is even louder. Again the company in charge of the service contract offers money for me to put towards a new or refurbished machine. Net is, Maytag/Whirlpool engineers its products based on its warranty - 1 year. Anything after that they view as an opportunity to steal more money from you and I the consumer. Do yourself a favor and NEVER purchase a Maytag/Whirlpool product. I would like to think American products are superior to its foreign counterparts, however Maytag/Whirlpool is not in this league. In my opinion, Maytag/Whirlpool has lost the privilege to call itself American and should no longer be allowed to do business in this country.

This washer does not distribute enough water to wash clothes properly. I continually take clothes out of washer that are not completely wet. My darker clothes have white spots of detergent on them that did not get rinsed off. This product should be pulled from the stores. We have tried everything, using deep water wash, bedding wash, to get more water in the machine. Our clothes are not coming out clean. Complete waste of our money!

Dishwasher Model #MDB7609AWW2 - I have replaced the touchpad once a year for 4 years. Went online and learned a DIY repair using a Permatex Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit to fill in the touchpad broken circuits. I have repaired it once a year for 2 years. My suggestion is to avoid purchasing this product. Apparently even after multiple consumers have contacted Maytag regarding this widespread defect, Maytag has not issued a recall or assisted anyone. They say if the part can be replaced there is no issue. When the dishwasher works, it is great, however it WILL NOT last. Touchpad will fail and you will be out $124 for the part plus labor unless you do the repair yourself.

The washer does not get clothes clean at all even with the help of odor blaster, does not spin right, does not even out the clothes, walks while it is spinning. My towels do not smell good at all. The dryer gets too hot and the lint trap is always a mess even though I clean it after every use.

Our Maytag refrigerator is leaking water all over my kitchen floor to the point that my floor tile has lifted. The ref. is a French door with water and ice in the door and freezer on the bottom. We have been cleaning up puddles of water at least several times a day. I see that this is not an isolated problem, as others have complained about this defect doing the same thing with their Maytag refs. Why hasnt ConsumerAffairs demanded a recall on these expensive defective refrigerators to date? I am truly disgusted.

We bought a Maytag dryer and within two years the drum cracked. It will cost over $500 to repair it and then will the new drum be better? I bet not. Piece of junk.

We purchased a Maytag stainless steel French door refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. The thermostat control (a circuit board made in China) broke and was replaced in 2012 by a certified repair person. He reminded me to dust underneath regularly, which Ive done. A couple of weeks ago I noticed some darkening of my wood floor to the left of the refrigerator and so I pulled it out from the wall a bit. What I saw was that my entire floor was wet and falling apart under the left side and when I looked into the freezer, I pulled out the bottom basket and the bottom was covered in about an inch of ice.I called, posted on Facebook and was put on hold several times for as long as 20 minutes before I hung up. I called Home Depot and asked them to intervene and speak to a rep from Maytag. I have heard nothing. There is black mold in the corner of my kitchen and a soaked floor that may go way beyond. I googled the leak and apparently this is very common with Maytag French Door refrigerators. I have a meeting with an attorney. Getting through to Maytag is seemingly impossible unless you have hours to wait on the phone. We have been getting sick for months and not knowing the cause.

I was told to at first to just leave the door open, then when that did not work I was told that I should bleach my machine at least once a week which I did. That did not work either. Then I was told to buy the product REFRESH and that would take care of the smell. That did not work either. So I am at my wits end with the stench of my clothes.

I feel its kind of cheap. The interior is all plastic which doesnt look shiny and clean as it use to be when it was new. Not efficient in cleaning. Can see still dirt spots in some of the washed dishes.

I purchased all Maytag products for my new home three years age. The dishwasher stopped working 13 months after we purchased it. Since the home was under renovations for the first month, we only actually used it for 12 months. When I called Maytag, they told me that it was either the control panel or mother board and that they could not do anything because the warranty was only for 1 year... and didnt offer me anything to make good on this...NOW three years later, my microwave is displaying error code SE.. control panel is bad. Now I have not had a working dishwasher for two years and this just added salt to my wound. I called Maytag furious that this keeps happening with new products. The only thing they would offer to do is for me to purchase an extended warranty at $350.00 and they would have a repair guy fix the microwave. A brand new microwave would cost the same thing???? They flat out told me that there was nothing that they would do for me, and that they were not going to fix it for free.I filed a complaint with them and never heard back from anyone at Maytag. It seems strange that the control panels craps out within one to three years on two of the four Maytag products I purchased. I WILL NEVER BUY MAYTAG AGAIN... I went back to Home Depot and told them that MAYTAG has LOST me as a customer and that I purchased 4 major appliances from them and two stopped working with in 1 to 3 years. Home Depot was shocked and gave me $100.00 towards a new dishwasher. And I did not buy a Maytag.... I still do not have a working microwave... But when I do have the money to replace it, it will not be MAYTAG. Looking online, I notice a lot of the same complaints about Maytags control panels...... Could it be a scam on Maytags part???

I purchased my Bravos washer and dryer in Sept. 2010. What a mistake! The dryer is okay but the washer is a nightmare! The repairman and I are on a first name basis. The last time he was here, he showed me how to recalibrate my washing machine. It stops working in the wash cycle, fills with water and then sits there. I have to manually drain it and start over. Then it gets confused and fills with water when it is supposed to be spinning and draining (consequently draining my well). I shouldnt have to recalibrate anything in life, much less, a brand new washing machine.

I really love my front loader and it has no agitator to rip pockets and tear off buttons. The tub is very large and I can wash king quilts. I do miss being able to fill the tub and put in additives and then add the clothes to soak.

We have had washer/dryer Bravo Series and been nothing but horror stories. Washer bounces all over room to point hoses come out and flooded my laundry room and foyer and garage. It takes over 1hour 45 minutes to do loads sheets which is 2 sheets 2 pillowcases. The repair man told me that takes that long due to MY sheets are dirty. I have been married 46 years and never heard that ever!!! The dryer is just as bad, takes over hour and half to dry sheets and towels almost 2 hours to dry. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG ANYTHING. The person who said needed hurricane straps to hold washer is something I agree with. Just a horror.

If I could give this a 0-Star rating, I would! I cant believe Maytag would make such an awful washing machine! Within the first 2 weeks I called their service department because (in my opinion) the washer wasnt washing properly. It took over a month and several calls to get someone out to look at the washer & dryer. According to the technician, both machines were operating properly. Apparently the washer is designed to destroy clothing and bedding! The gentle cycle set on deep fill will add just enough water to get the clothing wet, then agitates for about 10 minutes, then it fills up, agitates for 3 more minutes and drains. During the 10 minute dry-run, I watch my clothes get destroyed! I have never seen anything like this! My sweaters are shredded, my tops are pilled up & in a garment bag this thing managed to destroy a sports bra! This machine has ripped my mattress cover in several places and pulled my sheets from excessive rubbing due to not enough water. And what is up with the slow fill? The technician informed me that the trickling water is also normal. If I could return this washer, I would! I will never buy another Maytag because my Bravos washer died after only 4 years, and this one is brutal!

Maytag Bravos XL washer and dryer. Best washer and dryer I have ever owned. I have owned about every major brand and these are by far the best. My husband is a hog farmer and the washer does a great job. I will always purchase Maytag appliances.

I bought a brand new Maytag bottom freezer fridge in May 2005. The first thing to go was the timing switch. I lost all contents of the fridge and freezer. The next to go was the compressor. Again, all the contents of the fridge and freezer were destroyed. This was after the 5 year warranty was complete. The cosat of repairs is around $800.00, which is the cost of a new fridge. I emailed someone from customer service, who replied how happy they are to hear from me, and how I can call anytime. I called customer service, and spoke to a supervisor. The fridge was built in the USA, but cannot tell me where the parts are from. No one seems to get, that I am disgusted that an appliance would last only as long as the warranty lasts. Oh, and the repairs are only covered for 90 days. My parents have a 62 year old RCA chest freezer that is still going strong. The lesson is, dont get rid of your old appliances. They may use a lot of energy, but they last. I will never buy from Maytag, ever again.

My clothes sometimes come with white spots on them. My clothes are very twisted. I would LOVE to have Maytag replace my washing machine so I could again sing their praises!!!

I purchased a Maytag Dryer Model MEDC200XW1 Electric Dryer in November of 2011. Along with a Maytag Washer from Home Depot. This week the dryer stopped heating for no apparent reason. I use it about three times a week. I tried to speak to Maytag customer service, they were very rude and did not care I spent thousands of dollars in kitchen appliances as well. They would not even cover the service call or diagnostic or half the repair cost. Supervisor Brian @ Maytag Customer Service was rude and unprofessional. I will never buy their product again.

I bought my Maytag Bravos top load washer from Home Depot. In one year. I had the Maytag warranty people out three or four times. The warranty ran out and I purchased an extended warranty from A&E. I have had them out at least five times.I called Maytag and they told me since that I didn’t get the extended warranty from them, that there was nothing they could do for me. I explained to them that this washer cost me over $900 and that I have had numerous repairs on the washer, in which the warranties cost me over $400 so far.How much do I have to keep paying for this lemon? Maytag will not do anything about it! This goes to show you that paying top dollar for a washer does not guarantee you will have a good product. In this economy we can’t afford for this to happen. This is a very bad product and Maytag will not stand behind their own products, but they are willing to charge the consumer high dollar for them. This is a disgrace!

I have had this washer (top loading washer model MVWX550XW0) almost 2 years. It has ruined some of my clothes. It does not properly wash anything. I have tried every possible solution. I cannot use the HE powder detergent - it will not rinse out. I tried using less than required and double rinse, absolutely did not overload. Even using the HE liquid still did not get clothes clean. I used the number one detergent to the cheaper brand - it makes no difference. I still have to double rinse everything. Small throw rugs will not even get totally wet or clean. I took clothes to the laundromat just to make sure it was the washer. It is this washer. I know I have waited too long to register my complaint, but I have basically thrown away $1200. Also, loads of clothes would take up to 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours to wash. Now that is definitely not energy efficient. I would love for you to pick it up and bring me a standard washer and dryer. I work for a research firm and know when companies really care about their customers. I will be interested to see if the Maytag Man really cares. The only reason I did not check angry is because of my delayed response.

We purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Lowes in the summer of 2016. The washer performed so so. Not a great machine. After only two years use, there is only my husband and myself, the transmission went out. The repairman said it would be cheaper to buy a new machine than repair it. Maytags 10-year warranty does not cover the transmission. We replaced the Maytag washer. I cant say anything good about Maytag.

Maytag Dishwasher with model number MDB6701AWS and Serial Number 41687985NJ.It does not clean dishes like it should. We tried every possible way to set control settings, and still the dishes come out dirty and spotted. Also, it doesnt dry like it should. We had a Kitchenaid before we moved and it worked great.

Less than four years ago we purchased a new set of Maytag appliances, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and upright freezer. To date, the only appliance we have not had a problem with is the microwave. The bottom element is not working on our stove model # MER8775AS. We will never buy Maytag or Whirlpool products again. We purchased a Maytag dishwasher (model mdb4709aww1) from our local appliance store. A little over one year after purchase, the control panel (part w10254834) stopped working. Our appliance store replaced it. They charged us for the part but not for a service call. Its been two years since the new control panel was replaced and it just stopped working. Now, we have to pay $275.00 for the new part and service call. My previous dishwasher lasted twenty years and we never had a problem. I thought Maytag was a quality product. Sadly mistaken!!

We purchased a Maytag Gas range MGR8674AB in November 2012. The contents of the drawer (oven mitts, trivets, hot pads) caught on fire. As we pulled out the drawer, it scorched the front of the range.

On June 5th, my husband turn off the water to the house since we were going to be away for 4 days. Unfortunately, it was not completely turned off. When we left, the washing machine was OFF, with the door slightly cracked open (to allow for circulation). When we returned, there was water all over in our upstairs, plus water had gone down the walls to the lower level. We could not figure out how the water got into the washer since it was turned off. The insurance company asked that we call a repairman to find out what was wrong. Fortunately for the repairman and us, the machine continued to go on and on after the Curtis had checked it out (it pumped out for him but not for us) and turned it OFF. It jumped from cycle to cycle after he had turned it off. Obviously the control board did its own thing. Be aware-- it can happen!!

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

We purchased a Maytag Dishwasher Model #MDBTT60AWW3. Shortly after manufacturer warranty ran out, the control panel went out. Luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. The repair company came out and put a new control panel in it. Two months later, the control panel goes out again. The warranty firm sends out a different repair company. They replace the control panel again. This time it doesnt work. They replace some of the buttons as according to the repair person they arent registering the correct OHM reading. It works again. Yay!. A week later, its not working again. The repair company is coming back. This is really starting to get old. Between the multiple times it has broken down, waiting for the repair company to come out, diagnose the problem and order parts, we have been without a dishwasher for approx. 2 months the multiple times it has broken down. Im so fed up with this thing. I also will never ever buy another Maytag again. They need to have a major recall on these because of the terrible, terrible control panel. This isnt just me, its a lot of people.

I bought a Maytag Washer in October of 2012. So far we have had to have repairs to it (4) times. The motor falls out. We are very dissatisfied with the product. Bought new glass top Maytag electric range. Only used oven 7 or 8 times when I was unable to close the door. Had to wait 12 days for Maytag repairman. Has to order new parts. Still without use of oven. Says its a known problem the hinges holding the door arent strong enough. Last stove 24 years old. Never had a problem.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer with Commercial Technology, front loader in April 2012. Since then, the repair guy has been at my house three times in six months. This last repair is going to be just $800 in parts, not including any labor yet. So, I called Customer Service, and told them I was not satisfied with the repair job again, because I obviously have a lemon of a machine. Needless to say, I lost, and was told the warranty is only for repair, and not replacement. Well what happened to customer service? Its more like customer bend over, shut up and take it. So, I will get my repair at a cost of at least 1,200 bucks paid for by Maytag. Im not a business person, but if I were the company, I would think replacement of the unit would be a lot cheaper in the long run for this company and a happy customer for the future of me buying brands. Needless to say, I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again, and you can thank your useless Customer Service department in Canada for that. P.S. Purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 6 years ago and everything was fine until 3 weeks ago when the washer stopped spinning. We knew we were out of the 1 year warranty and contacted a repair service, who told us the bearing was no good. Contacted Maytag who offered in goodwill to pay for the parts and we would pay for the labor. A different repair person came in and told us the washer has no bearings but a transmission, which went bad. They ordered the transmission and today the repair person was in to install it. He installed the transmission, but while trying to take out the old one he dented the drum. According to my husband the repair person banged so hard that it sounded as if something could have been damaged, sure enough it was the drum. Contacted Maytag to see if anything can be done as now we still have no washer, and the repair person was their selection not ours. All we got from Maytag was they are not responsible and there is not much more they can do. I cannot believe the last Maytag product we had lasted over 20 years and this one is less than 6 years with problems. Will not purchase another of their products again.

I built my home and bought all Maytag appliances. The freezer and fridge knock on wood have been repair free. Replaced control panel on stove for 400.00$. Washer after 2nd repair had to replace 600.00$. Dryer repaired once 95.00$. Replaced dishwasher with a new Maytag. After 2 1/2 years the control panel on my Maytag Dishwasher will not work. This is the 4th repair. I have paid for 2 repairs out of warranty. 380.00$ the last repair. I did request some help from Maytag. They said no... My dealer did only charge me for the parts.

I purchased my dishwasher exactly two years ago. We are empty nesters so it has had light use. Today, when I tried to start it, the control panel would not work. Thanks to what I found in your site. I will not take a day off of work to wait for a repairman only to have it fail a second time. It is hard for me to believe a company that builds its reputation on a bored repairman would produce a product with a faulty control panel and not do something about it. I had a stackable Maytag dryer that was bought in 2016 but only used during the summer of 2017. Last May the dryer stopped heating. I contacted Maytag and they sent a repairman a week or so later. He identified the problem in the electronic control and ordered a replacement part. The part came and he installed it a week later. The part was faulty and he ordered a replacement for the replacement. It arrived a week later and also did not work. He said he had problems with replacement parts but contacted the technical service department at Maytag as he did the first time. The technical service person said there were problems associated with new software being not compatible with dryers in the last year and we needed a new control panel. I contacted Maytag again waiting the usual hour to get through on the phone. They agreed to replace the parts for free and ordered a control panel that arrived a week later. The technician installed both parts but they did not work. I contacted Maytag again and after waiting the required hour talked to a person who said she would contact the department who could arrange a replacement. They contacted me a few days later and said they would supply a replacement for $250. This was delivered a week or so later but they did not have a stacking kit and returned to the delivery company with the dryer. A week later they returned with the stacking kit but forgot the dryer. A week later they returned with both the dryer and stacking kit but the installer (always a different person) said he was too big to get in the space behind the dryer and that the venting supplied was wrong.I bought new venting from Home Depot and a new installer arrived a week later. He said the new venting was not necessary and in fact wrong and installed the dryer. It ran but foolishly I did not check to see if it heated and neither did the installers or if they did took off without letting me know that the dryer, like the one that was replaced did not heat. I discovered this a couple of days later when I tried to use it. I contacted Maytag and they setup an appointment for a new service technician to visit. I contacted Maytag again today hoping to get some explanation of what might happen next or some explanation. They had no idea but did inform me that they would not replace the new dryer but would start repairs again.

This Bravos 300 washer has never cleaned clothes adequately. I have 3 sons who are athletic and this washer does not clean sweaty or dirty clothes even with extra rinse. Now my machine is 4 years and 3 months old and it needs a new bearing which will cost me $385. The repairman said this is a common repair in this machine. Maytag should be ashamed of the poor quality of this machine. I am now looking to by a new traditional top loader. These HE machines are a joke. I am contacting them to make a complaint and see if anything can be done.

I bought my first Maytag French Door fridge about 7 years ago. When it was two it started running water on the floor. I paid a service guy to tell me a tiny little drain in the back clogged up and stopped coil defrost water from draining out. He fixed it. A year later, the fridge stopped cooling but the freezer was cold. I hired another service man who charged me a mint to diagnose that a fan that blows cold air up into the refrigerator failed. Rather than pay him again, I ordered the part. Heres the joke--the part wasnt available. An older part was substituted. Why? The first fan motor was small to make the energy start requirements--but it was too weak to be reliable. The new motor was an earlier model--almost twice as large and powerful. So much for Energy Start. At exactly 5 years and six months, the compressor went out. Im on year two with the new one. I said to myself they cant all be that bad. Now it is leaking on the floor. I have to disassemble the freezer, remove the inner wall, defrost the coils and clean out the drain hole. Wouldnt smart engineers make an easy way to do that from the back? Seems simple.

Maytag washer has increased my water bill; it was supposed to be energy efficient! Also, the washer will not wash a blanket. Sensors will move a large item to one side causing an uneven load which then causes numerous extra fills until stopped manually. I was told to add more items! A blanket barely fits in the tub. I had to invest in lint rollers since the rinse cycle is inefficient. This washing machine is useless. I should have stuck with Kenmore.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Washer at the end of last year. Within 2 weeks, I knew it wasnt a good washer and asked my husband if we could return it. He said, No. I dont like using the fabric softener dispenser, so I used to use a Downy ball. This washer doesnt spin hard enough to open the ball. I tried 3 separate times. Each time, the ball came out with the fabric softener in it at the end of the cycle just like it was when I put it in. It also doesnt get the clothes clean. Im using chlorine bleach, detergent and OxiClean and our whites are gray. It doesnt get the simplest stain out and the soak feature is a joke. If you use the soak feature, the washer fills up, the lid locks, it soaks and then the water drains out. No spin or anything.Normally, on the old washers, you could just push the knob in to stop the agitation to soak something, but not now. The lid locks, which I cant stand, when the washer is working. I would like to see if it is agitating or to add more clothes if I want. Im not sure who designed this washer, but they should go back to the drawing board. Ive tried every cycle and none of them work well. It also takes an hour to wash a load of clothes. Im just so disappointed with Maytag on every level. This was my first Maytag purchase and it will be my last.

We have had and used this washing machine for over 25 years and only had one small problem and that was to replace the lid switch and the machine is working today as good as the day we bought it, it has went through raising four kids and many grandkids.

I purchased the washer and dryer approx 6 or 7 years ago. Out of the gate about a year the pump had to be replaced on the washer- 2010. 1/2012 the tub needed to be replaced, 6/2012 the PUMP needed to be replaced again! Then 2013 the dryer need a new board at the tune of $391.00. And today, yes - yet once again I need a new pump! Over $2,000 in repairs on these awful machines. I called Maytag because I thought maybe they would care - not so much. The rep told me that the Bravos models were discontinued (shocker) but that she could give me a discount on a new comparable version at ONLY $600. How nice! I will use these until they fail again - which according to history - that wont take long and then I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase a Maytag product again. We work hard for our money and continually giving it to a company (for parts) for a product that they failed to make a quality product is not going to happen again! DO NOT BUY MAYTAG. Do your research and give your money to companies that care. MAYTAG should be held accountable and a class action suit should be filed. They need to GET IT and they never will if we sit back and let them take advantage of consumers.

Im currently standing in front of my washing machine waiting for the 13-minute drain and spin cycle to finish because once again my load didnt drain and finish right. Except it has already been 40 minutes and it claims there is still 9 more left as it continues to sit there doing nothing while it hasnt even started spinning yet. It Sat on 13 minutes while sensing for over 5 minutes, then 12 for 10 minutes while doing nothing, then it changed to 11 minutes and made some weird noises but didnt actually do anything for 15 minutes, and now the timer randomly changed from 11 to 9 without any noises or movement happening and now continues to sit here.I stupidly thought I could spin my clothes real quick to throw them in the dryer before bed and now I stand here extremely tired and very irritated. I also have no doubt some of the clothes will have holes in them when theyre done because they always do, my family looks like were homeless and ratty half the time we get dressed now. Also it never deep cleans thoroughly even on the toughest settings, I swear our socks can be washed 3 times in a row after being soaked all day and still come out crusty or a lot of times the armpits of shirts will still smell or be ultra stained with deodorant marks still.This technology is almost too advanced and everything is decided by sensor, regardless of the registered functions on the buttons it will still do what it wants as the sensors see fit and run when they decide everything is perfect and ready, including taking 10 minutes just to unlock the lid when you pause a load cuase a small child may drown in the foot of water or a person may have their life completely altered by getting a little bit wet if the machine isnt completely drained and in pristine condition before you open the door. This machine is terrible. This company is terrible. And worst of all they drain your wallet for these horrible contraptions. I wish I could rate this 0 stars.

Washing Machine MVWC6ESWW - The fourth time was October 12; I called. Shreka at Maytag said she would send someone out at no cost on October 15, between 12-5 pm. Justin called from AE at 5:05 pm stating he was on his way. He then asked for my receipts. We were moving and had packed many things. He said he would call and find out. He said they were out 7/2011, 9/2011 and again 9/2011 all for the same problem. I requested in September 2011 that this was a lemon and send me another. I was assured if the same problem occurs, it would be covered. Well Justin said it isnt covered anymore and it was due to being made overseas. The cost to fix it is around $350 to $400. The washer cost me $383.40, plus I bought the matching dryer of $403.39. This makes zero since. Please advise.

Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB6759AWS3 Does Not Start - If you are having the following problem, here is what I did to fix it. All of the lights on the touch pad would light-up when pressed but the dishwasher would not start. It appears to be a corrosion problem on the connector from the touch pad to the control panel. 1. Turn off power to the dishwasher. 2. Remove the inside cover to the dishwasher door - approximately 10 screws. 3. Disconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel still attached to the door. These are snap connectors. Always a good idea to label the connections before disconnecting in order to make sure everything goes back together properly. 4. Remove the black cover on the control panel. There are 3 screws. 5. Find the green conductor tape that connects the touch pad to the control panel. 6. You will remove the green conductor tape from the control panel. DONT just pull on it. There is a white piece of plastic that slides away from the control panel and toward the green conductor tape. It will remove pressure from the conductor tape and the conductor tape can then be disconnected from the control panel. 7. Get a good pencil eraser and clean off the exposed copper connectors in the conductor tape. 8. Place the conductor tape back into the control panel and slide the white plastic piece over it to reconnect the conductor tape to the control panel. 9. Replace cover on the control panel. 10. Reconnect the electrical connections from the inside cover to the control panel. 11. Place inside cover of the dishwasher over the proper screw holes - make sure the bottom of the inside cover is overlapping the bottom of the door - or the door wont shut properly. 12. Replace screws.13. Turn on power and check.It worked for me and saved me time waiting for a repairman and expense of the repair.

I love this washer. You can fill all the way or energy setting but either way it does the job. I paid 1200 for a Whirlpool. it was broken within 6 moand couldnt get service repair. With the Maytag it was on sale for 550 cash. It stop spinning. I called for service. They were there in 2 days on time and 20 minutes it was working. It was a needle stopped it. Just reprogrammed and wa-lah!

I bought your Maytag model MDB7749SBW1 dishwasher on May 22, 2013. We bought Maytag because of your reputation...not because of price. However, in September, 2014 (2 months out of warranty!!), the control panel stopped working. I called the 800 number and the best they could do is to extend the warranty for 6 months BUT only after we paid for repair and control board replacement. This is not cheap!!! We were furious. I looked if there were recalls on this model but there is not (should be). Anyway, after we paid for repairs and a new control panel put in ($160.00 +- for part itself), we were very cautious about touching anything on that dishwasher. YOU HAVE an issue with design and I can give you link after link of other customers who have expressed the same thing. So, here we are in 2017... About 2 months ago, we noticed the exact same symptoms with the control board.In fact the ONLY way we could start the dishwasher was to turn off the breaker, let it sit for 20 minutes - overnight and then turn back on and hit the start button. We lost all control over the settings. Only auto clean and delay 2 hours were working. Yesterday, I purchased yet another control board ($179 incl tax and shipping). I plan to install myself. If I could afford another dishwasher, I would do it and never buy Maytag again. Maytag really ought to be ashamed and if they were truly concerned they would offer these defective parts at a steep discount or better yet, recall. I plan on submitting something about this issue with any consumer group I can find. I guess the only way to spread the word and perhaps force a company to respond is to post on social media anymore. This is NOT a like.

We have had this refrigerator, model MFI2665XEM7, less than two years. The ice maker stopped working and we had it replaced at least 6 times in a two month period. We had a solid ice sheet in the bottom of the freezer drawer and it leaks water on the floor constantly! Even today... after another ice maker replacement, we have no ice! I never wanted a Maytag, but finances and the small space we had gave us little choice. I am not sure what our next move is. I will NEVER buy a Maytag product again! I should have google this sooner and we could have saved the poor repairman all of those trips!

In January 2006, we bought a Neptune washer and dryer, model# MAH5500BWW, because we thought they were superior to any other at the time. In January 2012, the washer started making a very loud noise in the spin cycle. It just kept getting louder and a technician was called in check out the problem. We were told that the bearing was going out and he found a hole in the back of the tub. He said it was not cost effective to replace the bearing and the tub and suggested that we continue to use it until we could no longer tolerate the noise. We are very unhappy with the durability of this washer, with the amount of money we paid to be going out only after 6 years of service. We have been a Maytag customer for 15 years and will never buy another Maytag appliance. We are going to replace the washer and dryer to keep a matching set and it certainly will not be a Maytag.

Front load washer. When load is done. Removing is one long string of clothes... Is a large load washer which I like. But you cannot add any items after you close the door. And you always forget something that needs washing.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the Maytag Gas stove and oven. The setting are too high and you cannot simmer something, it burns. I tried the oven cleaner and my oven is still dirty. The burner knobs do not have a click feature. I came home to a house filled with gas. I was not using the top burners, so I must have brushed up against the burner knob while using the oven. I was only gone an hour, imagine if I had been gone longer and walked in the door and created a spark on the rug.

So the reviews for the Bravos MCT online were pretty decent. We purchased our set from Lowes. However, the clothes dont turn over. I watched as long as I could (getting frustrated the longer I watched) to see how the clothes were going to get turned over and washed. All they did was get rubbed on the bottom of the pile where those agitator fins are. But they never got a good flipping so that the top of the pile was washed. I only had 4 normal size towels in there. So it isnt like I had too many clothes.So I called Maytag to tell them what I was observing and the gentlemen explained that it was counter-intuitive technology and that it seems like they wont come clean but he promised me by the time the load was done they would be clean. Yet - they did not come clean! The dirt on the towel was still there on the top of the load with dog hair. NOT TO MENTION SUDS!! Im so disappointed because the burden is on me to either take this set back or deal with it. Buyer beware - if you look at this machine and ask yourself how in the world will the clothes get clean - you are asking a great question! They dont!!

I purchased the Bravos Washer and Dryer from an elderly couple who didnt have it more than 6 months. About a year went by and the washer started making a noise when the water extracted and finally flooded my laundry room. I found that a penny had gotten into the plastic housing that extracts the water. This has happened on 2 different occasions. I have replaced the extraction unit 2 times and it now cracked again. Then I started getting F1 error codes and having to restart as much as 6 times so it would start the cycle. This washer has been a royal pain. It is frustrating when you think you are getting a quality product and have nothing but problems. I previously had a Kenmore washer and dryer that lasted me 15 years and was still functioning when we sold the set after buying the Maytag Monster. We only ever replaced the heating element in the dryer once. That was it. I will not consider a Maytag again and possibly not another HE at all. Glad I did not buy them new!

We have had this machine for too long. It starts banging and making tremendous amounts of noise. We have balanced it and tried loading it in different ways but when it starts to spin it apparently tries to even the load somehow that results in very loud noises and movement of the washer in the laundry room. Terrible machine. If we could afford it we would trash this one in a heartbeat and buy a different brand.

I purchased this oven about 6 months ago. This is my second Maytag oven which I had for 18 years. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this oven. I did my homework and shopped around and chose another Maytag. First, the ignitor clicks and clicks but doesnt ignite. After 4-5 times I have to shut the oven off and restart it. But worse than that is the enamel on top. The quality is HORRIBLE. You cannot use anything but a soapy sponge to clean the top. With my last oven I was able to use anything (softscrub, ajax, the scrubber side of a sponge) and the top was shiny clean. My stove top is covered with scratches and is not even thoroughly clean. There are grease spots around the burners that if I scrub any harder Ill take the enamel off completely. Very, very poor quality. Will never buy another Maytag.

Maytag top load 300 series washer - This is the worst washer I have owned! It does not wash items- especially sheets - without getting totally tangled up and twisted! I wish I had my old one back that lasted 20+ years. I will NEVER buy another.
