Bought new glass top Maytag electric range. Only used oven 7 or 8 times when I was unable to close the door. Had to wait 12 days for Maytag repairman. Has to order new parts. Still without use of oven. Says its a known problem the hinges holding the door arent strong enough. Last stove 24 years old. Never had a problem.

I purchased these appliances on 02-10-16 from Home Depot in Loganville Ga., for almost $2000.00. I filed the first repair call less than 3 weeks after delivery. The sensor panel was bad and had to be replaced. Now 8 months later the washer is not starting, AGAIN. The dryer will only dry one load a day or you get the AF code. This means that the dryer cannot push air over 5 or so and we need to have a vent booster fan (an additional $200.00) installed plus have an electrician run a new outlet. I returned to Home Depot with my complaint. Feeling that I have an inferior product, they tried to get Maytag to make it right. Maytag refused to offer any solutions whatsoever. Home Depot refunded a little over $300.00 for my inconvenience.The washer is an absolute ill-conceived piece of junk. It is ROUGH on clothing and does not remove soap. I started out with brand new (expensive) towels when I purchased this machine and 8 months later all of the hems have been snatched off and theyre unraveling and falling apart and are slowly becoming car wash towels.You cannot wash delicates in this machine and allow it to spin. Underwires in bras are badly misshaped or broken completely. You cannot wear them afterwards without being gouged by bent wires. The only way around this is to take away the spin cycle, but you better be ready with a clean garbage can to haul the dripping clothes elsewhere and hung up to drip dry. The washer has NEVER removed all of the soap from bed sheets. I have a dark gray set that show the soap best. Now I have to wash once with soap then wash again with no soap. This negates the machines being efficient.Unfortunately, I found the negative reviews AFTER buying the machine. My complaints are well known to Maytag, seeing has to how the same complaints are found online as far back as 8 years ago. I have been brand loyal for 30+ years to Whirlpool and thought that I was moving up with a Maytag, based on my parents 50 year experience... I was wrong! I will never purchase another Maytag product nor Whirlpool since Whirlpool now owns Maytag. I have researched and am of the opinion that Speed Queen is a far better product and plan to junk this set and replace them with Speed Queen.

I had a stove my mom bought for me 26 years ago. Still worked perfect. Used constantly. In 2018 my husband had to have this stove. Said no my stove my mom bought and still works perfect sentimental plus three children using it. Not one problem. So he buys this Maytag stove I didn’t like but don’t cook much warming things up or frozen pizza. Go to our sons for holidays. Always next day cook a turkey for sandwiches. Open the door which is too heavy. Wouldn’t close and called my husband. Got it semi closed. Said we’re not eating it. He proceeds to cook. Door opened. More turkey is in garbage. My husband started reading. I also did. Looks like these Maytag stoves are garbage. Make a lot of money for repairs. Now this goes to dump. No one stands behind their products. Is it worth paying to repair no.

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

Washer was purchased at Lowes under direction from staff... Great washer, environmentally better, less water consumption... Well washer is piece of crap. Activator is out, door stays locked, have to unplug to release every time used, water does not drain and cycles do not function or start. Lowes no longer carries product and all other review on spot as to cost to repair... Piece of crap, loss of $600.00+. Could be used as target practice, best case scenario.

I purchased a dishwasher and stove from Home Depot. Stove has already been replaced twice because of faulty manufacturing and now the dishwasher, after 1 1/2 years no longer works due to the control panel. I called a repair representative of Whirlpool/Maytag and explained the circumstances. Their own customer service people indicate that it is cheaper to replace a product then it is to repair it. Shame on Maytag and Whirlpool that they move their companies to countries outside of the United States and they no longer stand behind their product. Shame on them that what use to be the best product around is no longer worth paper you print on. I will no longer purchase any product from Maytag, Whirlpool or Home Depot since they all seem to line their pockets from products they know wont last. One mouth is worth a thousand complaints and I plan on screaming from the rooftops!

Just purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator and am I sorry I did! Very noisy and runs continuously. Maytag says it is because it has high-efficiency compressor and fans? How is running continuously efficient? The continuous noise actually keeps me awake at night. Not sure what to do as I have spent $1700. :(

Model# MVWC200BW1 bought in 2015 tangles/stretches clothing. This machine is/has been a true disappointment. The agitator wings are not attached at bottom allowing clothing to get caught and as the agitator turns, so does the clothing causing stretching and severe tangling. Poor design compared to the agitator that would rise and fall - those got clothing clean and did not ruin them. I cannot trust this machine to moderately cost clothing for fear of their demise. The lock-down mode is not convenient for those last minute added items. Will not be buying Maytag/Whirlpool ever again when another machine is purchased. This is a piece of rubbish!

The brackets that make the door open and close are just screwed Into the plastic lining with no kind of anchors. If you use the freezer a lot the screws come loose. Can’t close the door. And then 300 dollars later a service call. All to replace a screw. That’s just fine but the hole is stripped because no one could install a 50 cent anchor on installation at the factory. No more Maytag for me.

We bought Maytag Gas Double Oven MGT8800FZ only just two years ago and the top part of the range oven has already stopped working. It has not been overused as there are only two of us in the family and we use Crockpot regularly which do not require the range. It was fine for about 23months, but now it will not heat up at all We have been unable to get much help from Maytag so are not at all happy with this product. We chose Maytag as it is a replacement for an older Maytag oven and we have a Maytag fridge which will shortly have to be replaced. Not sure at all if we will replace it with Maytag going on our experience with our double oven.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer, the Neptune series and thought I was getting a top of the line, but now the dryer has quit working and the repairman said it is not worth fixing and it is only about 5 years old. So that is what I am so angry about.

We purchased a Maytag French Door Refrigerator with a bottom freezer in 2010. About 6 months ago, we noticed water leaking out the front of the refrigerator. We recently called Maytag service and were told that the refrigerator pan was too small and they would order it and have the independent contractor replace it. The woman I spoke with said that Maytag has been having a lot of complaints about this as the pan put in the refrigerator was too small. In my opinion - an obvious design flaw. The service tech came to our house today with a larger drain...not a pan as I had been told by Maytag (Maytag is the one who ordered the drain to be put in). We ended up paying an unexpected $209 (Pan vs. drainage replacement is a lot more expensive). Needless to say, we are upset for having to pay $209 for a Maytag design flaw as well as not being told upfront what the correct part was that was being ordered. We called Maytag and were told there was nothing they could do because its not on the recall list (yet) and because we didnt buy the extended warranty. We are feeling like suckers and will never buy another Maytag.

We bought this Maytag dishwasher two years ago with a two year warranty. We paid close to $700. Six months after we bought it, it started having problems on and off. They are including: leaking water, lights going on and off, cycles are not completed. We changed the console once, and soon after that it broke down again, and this time is out of warranty. Total repair times are: 6 times in two years. My husband call the company, asked them if there is a recall for this model? They told that there is no recall. Then the repair person came. According to his repair experience he said this is the common problem and he got a lot of calls for the same problem. If he told the truth about this, then the company was lying to its consumers!!

My dishwasher like many others have mentioned is experiencing the same control panel issues. When I set it to Wash, it spontaneously goes to Rinse Only. I am unsure exactly the age, but given the number of complaints Ive read, with the same problem, it seems as though, there was a flaw many years ago in design and regardless of issues hasnt been resolved with the newer models either. I realize appliances dont last forever, but Maytag was always known for the lonely repairmen and Id hoped the brand would continue to live up to its advertising, despite being purchased by Whirlpool.

Works great, quiet, cleans better than the others in my opinion, have had many others and they never impressed me like this brand does! I think this one gives you your money's worth and you don't have to look no further for a dishwasher again, and is top quality and hardly breaks down as well.

Bought this Range in March of 2019. I really liked the large oven in it. Right away I noticed that the oven didnt back things very uniformed and very quickly, so a lot of burnt cookies. But I adjusted to that, not super happy about it but it was fine. Tuesday while cooking the cooktop suddenly went out. I had been smelling something strange the last couple of times I had cooked with the oven and cooktop on so I just assumed it was the oven, it did need to be cleaned. Well I ended up pulling the range out from the wall and taking the back metal piece off...the wire running to the cooktop was burned, like 3 inches up the wire and also the wire coming into that wire on the range cord. Just destroyed. I was shaking. My house could have burnt down.I just attempted to call Maytag, knowing my warranty is up (1 year) but thinking they should know about this issue. I was told that they would need to send out a certified tech would need to come out to access the situation...ok...when are they available and she said the 29th of December, really? How many people can go 3 weeks with no oven? I take care of my 93 year old neighbor and make dinner every night. So obviously I cannot wait. I have a tech coming today to fix this fire hazard. I was told there was nothing that can be done as it was not under warranty anyway. What so your certified tech was going to come out for free and then charge me what I probably paid for the range to fix it.

The $1,100 Maytag Bravo XL does not have a dedicated spin cycle. Its rinse and spin. When out of balance, you rearrange and it rinses AGAIN - 15 minutes - before you know whether its balanced. By rinsing again, it can redistribute to be out of balance. Repairmen (w/ extra warranty) said you cant wash bath mats, bedspreads or pillows though it had giant capacity! They would charge me if I called again about it (3 strikes). So bought a used Kenmore with no computer panel... Its great! My dealer had the Maytag hauled to a dump, he would not sell it to anybody as he had integrity.

Washer broke down after one year. The washer stop in the spin cycle. Called many times - got no satisfaction. Still using local laundry mat. Very disappointed. Always thought Maytag was top of the line. I guess I was wrong.

Fifteen months after purchase of the top load washer, we have had to call in repair. The lid lock and sensor have went out on the machine and the repair costs are equal to the purchase of the machine. Whether the consumer has an extended warranty or not, this is unreasonable. So hear this Maytag, the CONSUMERS will invest elsewhere when delivered cheap merchandise like this even if it is Made in the USA as you wish to tout in order to bait the consumer for their money instead of providing superior quality American products. This consumer is sending this machine out the door.

After 9 months, the $850 Maytag Bravos started making extremely loud grinding noises during agitation cycle. We had 5 repair tech visits from A&E Repair, Maytags national repair vendor (and several cancellations + unscheduled visits by same). Each tech said a different part needed to be replaced requiring weeks of waiting for parts deliveries and getting huge boxes delivered to our office and dragging them home since my husband and I work for a living and are not home to accept large parcel deliveries. We had to unpack the washer basket in order to get it into our car and saw it was completely damaged. After 4 months of tech repair visits, using my home as a repair shop, forcing me to take days off from work and still no resolution to the problem, I was finally able to get Maytag to replace the machine. Our previous washer was original to our 25 year old house before it died. Unbelievably, the new Maytag has the very same problems and we are back on the same merry-go-round. This has become a part time job and super headache. I have never had such a horrible experience with a purchase or company. This is not a case of heavy usage either. We are ready to dump this machine! Do not buy a Maytag or affiliate product - Maytag is the worst!

We purchased this double-oven range (model: MGT8775XW01) about 5-6 years ago. It came with some slight bubbling on the plate that the control knobs go through/are mounted onto. A few years later, the bubbling paint began to chip/peel off - revealing rust (its a white range). I bought some touch-up paint, but that didnt look very good. Now that entire plate is bubbling and peeling and makes the whole range look like crap. My wife swears well never buy another Maytag product...EVER! Shes ripped! I cant seem to find the replacement part to purchase. Lousy products!

Bought the set at Home Depot. The gear box went out after 2 1/2 months of use. I called the manufacturer warranty site and spent close to an hour on the phone then was given an appointment to have a service repair person look at it. Two days before the scheduled service call they called and said they would have to move the appointment out by a week. After diagnosing the problem, oil all over the floor and stained clothes from the oil, was told it could be up to 2 weeks until the part arrived and installed. So my warranty is being used up while the machine is out of service for a month. Beware of buying a Maytag!!!

The ranges are getting great but are more so with digital than buttons and knobs which they should still have, especially for the handicapped and some elderly who prefer them. It would help prevent injuries. It was hard for me to find the knobs.

I purchased this washer January 2020. Bravos XL model# MVWB830DW5 is the worst washing machine ever. Does not clean your clothes, leaves soap residue on your clothes. Clothes aren’t fully submerged in water for the wash or rinse cycles. Do not waste your money. You will be highly disappointed.

After only 2 years my microwave stopped working. Now I can purchase a new warranty which is just as much as a new microwave, have somebody come out and fix it, or pay a service charge which is just under $100 and does not include labor and parts. I figured out now why nobody calls the Maytag repairman. We cant afford it!

I purchased a Maytag stove model mer7765wb in December 2011. Now its November 2014. My display board caught on fire and its burn out. How can a Maytag product go out within 3yrs. I purchased it from Sears outlet. As Sears customer I am very disappointed in this product. Thank God I was in the kitchen to put out the fire.

Maytag Bravo washer and dryer purchased April 2011. Dryer works fine and am pleased with results. Washer does not clean simple dirt and stains off clothing. Washer never fills to a water level that covers all the clothing. Some clothing never gets submerged, thus simple stains never get water contact throughout the cycle. I now spend more money purchasing spray stain removers and using the heavy duty cycles and extra rinses, would have been better off getting a Kenmore with an agitator. The concept does not work.

Bravo XL - I purchased this dryer in June 2012. In October, the first thermostat was replaced, again in February 2013 and two within a week from March 8th and March 12th. I was told it was my vent. However, the appliance continually showed venting good. I was told to have it cleaned. I did and it is documented that there was great air flow before and after and only a handful of lint collected. I have spoken with Whirlpool and no one will have the integrity or courage to say it may be a faulty unit. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. I had spent nearly $5,000.00 in Whirlpool appliances in June of 2012. I feel they will cover any issues until the warranty is completed, and then the problems are mine and at my expense.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos washer & dryer in September 2012 and 2 1/2 years later March 2015, no heat. We called a repairman and he said heat element went out. When researching this problem online I was shocked how many people had the same problem as we have. It cost over $300 to fix and I am concerned that it will just break again and again after reading these reviews. I think that a class action lawsuit may be needed so that this unfortunate situation does not continue to happen to other consumers.

Electronic control board fried after 3 yrs on Maytag Gemini range - certain buttons on control board would not set for ovens. Called Maytag, said was not covered, past 1 year warranty. Recommended repair shops, all overpriced. The piece cost between $300-500 for a 3 year old stove. Cheapest repairman wanted 90 to install piece. Ordered piece online and replaced it myself with help from YouTube video. Maytag has lousy repair records lately. Of 4 Maytag appliances purchased in 3 yr kitchen remodeling… already had issues with 3 of them. Do not recommend Maytag anymore!

What junk. Bought this gx2shbxvy05 french door fridge. In less than 16 months the freezer is fine the fridge section gets up to 80f. Throw all the food away. Found the freezer coil covered in ice. Took the back panel off and noticed ice around the copper tubes by the compressor going up into the body. Not good. Put a small brick heater in and slowly melted the ice into the drip tray. Warning, it filled up 4 cups of water and of course spilled and killed the wood floor. After the clean up. Plugged the unit in and it seemed to work for about 3 months. Now its dead again. Looked into parts around 300 to 400 bucks plus labor to replace the system needed parts. P.S. the fridge, this junk replaced is downstairs working after 25 years not one issue other than the color. NEVER BUY A MAYTAG product please. TRAIL APPLIANCE should never have sold this product and should have stepped up to help out. Wont buy from them again.

I have had my washer and dryer for about 5 years. After a couple of years, I noticed my washer would fill and stop. When I go to put clothes in the dryer, it’s still filled with water... very inconvenient! I have to open and close it and then it continues. The dial doesnt work properly! The delicate cycle hardly works... that started after about a year. It just freezes up and stops. I have to open and close it. It does not rinse right, leaves a film on dark clothes, and I have to rinse again; I do not over fill it either. Sometimes it does smell a little mildew.The dryer knob does not work properly. I set my setting and pull the knob out, and it doesnt come on. I have to do it several times or change the setting or put it on 30 minutes only... very frustrating! I never had these problems with my Kenmores! I wish I did not switch brands. These things should work properly. I realize washers and dryers dont last like they used to, but come on! They also cost so much more than they used to. I wont do this again. I will do more research as to what is a good product. Too bad!

Never dies, never have had to have it serviced. House burned down is reason why it died. So I rebuilt, bought another one, then moved took it with me, then left it with my daughter and moved to Mexico. The dryer is still working to date and this all happened over 10 years ago. I sooo want another one. Best brand period. I only buy Maytag as they last. Unfortunately I do not have one now as they were unavailable in this country so bought something different. I was told the machine I have currently was as good as a maytag - they lied. I recently found out they have them now, so when I can afford one again, I will purchase one.

Do not purchase this microwave! I checked the reviews and thought they couldnt all have the same problem. THEY DO! This Maytag Microwave MMV4205DS1 has some faulty switch in the door latch mechanism. The warranty repair company came and adjusted the switches... and then fully replaced the switches. Each time it worked for about 30-60 days and then the same error would repeat itself. Never resolved... buying a different microwave. Be sure to check all reviews for repetitive complaints.This microwave will NOT function AT ALL with the door open/close message. Here are the details of our microwave. Purchased from Home Depot December 2015. First experienced the open/close door message around June 2016 (6 months after purchase). With the open/close door message, the interior light will not come on, the keypad will accept entries but will give the open/close door message as soon as start is pressed. Repaired under warranty August 2016. Repairman tightened and replaced one of the two fuses behind the metal plate. Also moved the door connectors as far as they would go to help with the door sensor issue. Worked until mid-December. Same message reappeared. Called repair company. Still under warranty. He order new switch parts and installed in January 2017. Microwave worked for 2 months. Then same exact door/open close message. Called repair company. Since we do not have an extended warranty, the parts would be covered but not the labor. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE or any other microwave that has reviews listing a door open/close issue. It will not go away! ...and you will be very frustrated.

Purchased a Bravo set 5 years ago. Paid $730. For the washer. 4 repairs in 5 years. It is now has a bearing out and that will cost $450. MAYTAG used to be the best... buyer beware!

Maytag French Door Fridge Model MFT267AEW10 - Not even 1 month out of warranty and the water line solenoid is leaking. It seems the water line installed at the factory was pulled so tightly that it has caused the solenoid inlet to start leaking. We really researched this refrigerator and thought we were buying the best. Not so, Maytag wont warranty it. The last purchase of Maytag I will ever make. We should have bought the Samsung but we were trying to buy American. Wont make that mistake again. Not a smart investment. Refrigerators are supposed to last a good ten years. How sad.

Just so everyone knows, Maytag, Whirlpool, and Amana washers are all made by the same company and almost all of the internal parts are the same. The differences are mostly cosmetic, its just a way to sell more of the same thing to different classes of people. Just like Chrysler sells Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge, they all had the same engines, transmissions and electrical systems, just different looks to appeal to different people. I found this out the hard way after purchasing an Amana front loader washer and dryer that broke down on me every other week for a year. I got tired of it and purchased the Maytag 2000 series. This set also breaks down on a regular basis! This is when I found out from the repair company that services these machines that all I did by getting rid of the Amana set and buying the Maytag set was buy a different looking set. Now I am really pissed. This company works for Whirlpool warranty servicing Whirlpool, Amana and Maytag as well as other major brands. All same machines inside the repair man said! Look into it, research it online and call whirlpool for yourselves as I did. You will find it to be true. So if you hate your Maytag, Whirlpool or Amana front loader washer or dryer, research and buy from a different company or you will buy the same old problems again and again.

I purchased this on sale at Home Depot, 1 year later this washer top load doesnt clean clothes if the cycle does finish at all. I have to restart the cycle, re-rinse etc, theyre still dirty. I dont have time for that, I have four children and my husband works in construction and comes home with filthy clothes that are just wet and dirty when they come out of this washer. I dont usually write reviews but I hope I can save someone else the hassle. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand, they all complain of the same thing. This washer altogether is BAD! ITS LOUD, it bangs around if I dont put in the tiniest loads, even then, they come out dirty. Dont waste your time.

I was sooo excited to get this very very very expensive washer and dryer only to have the worst disappointment and let down...the washer in particular is horrible!!! It doesn’t wash!!! I thought I was crazy until I started reading all of these other reviews and found that many more people have had the same experience as I have... The tub never fills with water and the clothing never gets clean. I would love to start a class action against Maytag and get my money back or get a replacement.

Our Maytag Bravos is 4 years old. Settings are preset at the factory. Besides the glitches others have written, the hot water sensor INSIDE the machine has gone out. This means - no clothes can be washed on the hot setting, and the warm setting gives only lukewarm water. I have had more than one plumber look at the machine, and the consensus is...the internal sensor needs replacement. However, this machine being only 48 months old, I am debating whether or not just to buy a new machine. This is a HE washer, and I am very disappointed in its performance. This is the worst Maytag machine I have ever owned.

Dishwasher (MDB7709AWB2) stopped running mid-cycle, internet search revealed that control panel needs replacement at a cost of $135. excluding labor, for a dishwasher that originally cost $348. Notified Maytag and am awaiting a response.

In October of 2012 we bought a Maytag Refrigerator Model MFF2258VEM. In the spring and summer of 2014, we noticed puddling on our kitchen floor. We thought it was our dishwasher or sink since the $1800+ fridge was new, but couldnt find the problem. We travel a lot and are gone for extended periods. When we returned in winter of 2014, we discovered that there was substantial puddling and found a sheet of ice in the bottom of the freezer compartment. We did research and found that this is a common problem with all the bottom-freezer Maytag models, which then leak. We discovered that the leak had seeped into our kitchen sub-floor and was destroying all of our kitchen floor tile, causing cracking and breaking, a renovation of just a few years previous that cost a lot of money. There was NO problem with the floor until we put in this Maytag refrigerator. The remedy for the leaking is constant maintenance and a lot of work, totally ridiculous for a product that costs so much. I want to sue Maytag for both replacement of the refrigerator and the cost of replacement of my tile floor. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

Purchased Maytag Centennial Washer and Dryer (MODEL MVC300VWI) at Home Depot 3 yrs ago. After 6 months, washer started to rust. Maytag told us It was not their problem. A 6-month old washer should not rust! Poor quality + poor customer service. Dont buy!

I bought Maytag Bravo washer and dryer set in Nov 2012. Washer door lock broke shortly after 1 yr and now the gearbox has broken. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG BRAVO WASHER. The cost to fix is more than the value. Before the gearbox death the sound it made while spinning was so loud you could not hear the TV or have a conversation in the west end of the house. Visitors were stunned at the noise it made. I called Maytag warranty and explained I am having the same issues as everyone else, what are you going to do? The answer was nothing. Please read the other reviews, same issues. It never cleaned clothes anyway, bad design, bad company and bad corporate values. Model number MVWX700XLE.

I bought a Maytag Bravos Quiet Series 300 washer just over two years ago from Home Depot. The control board and sensor went out last week. The service technician seemed rather surprised that a newer machine would have that kind of non-wear-and-tear problem and suggested that I contact Maytag/Whirlpool to see if they could help offset the parts costs, as the repair was going to cost over $600! The customer service agent I spoke with said that there was nothing they could do because the item did not have an extended warranty. I explained to her that we purchased this unit, even though it was out of our price range, because we were told that it would last a lifetime. I would have been happy if it would have just lasted 5 years! She was very detached and it was clear that Maytag/Whirlpool was not going to stand behind their product. I will now take the repair money and go buy a new washer. You can be sure that it absolutely will not have the Maytag/Whirlpool brand!

Bought this because of the load capacity and it seemed like it would be a good purchase to help save on water. But worst mistake ever. The water level barely touches the clothes on top. It barely has any water whatsoever. All my dark colored clothes come out with residue. It’s disgusting and cleaning with Affresh does no good either. Very disappointed with the company.

At first my dishwasher worked great and I have always been really good about rinsing my dishes before I put them in. Starting a few months back I noticed my dishes were coming out gritty then all of a sudden it started backing up into our sink.

I also purchased a Maytag refrigerator model #MBR1953YES3 at Home Depot less than 2 yrs. ago. A year had not passed and I noticed the freezer starting to freeze up. Water started to leak from the bottom freezer. My husband had to break chunks of ice that clogged the drain but still, it continues to freeze. We hired a certified technician to clean the drain but a few days later, a puddle of water appeared all over our kitchen. Now we have a towel to stop the water from coming under the refrigerator. I thought when I was buying a Maytag, I was buying the best. I now know that, it was the biggest mistake. I will think twice before ever considering buying a Maytag again.

Unreliable! When you push start, it goes into sensing mode and starts to fill. You walk away thinking it will run to find out an hour later it is still in sensing mode! Wasting electricity, your time and talk about stress! You have a 50-50 chance it will go on and run the load, but if you dont have time to stand there and watch it. FORGET THIS WASHER. Also does not clean as the old agitator washer, which I luckily still have, yeah. Always read reviews before buying anything. Nice website.

This Maytag Centennial with commercial technology washer has ruined a couple of thousand of dollars of clothing, maybe 10 to 12 of my favorite shirts (ripped holes around the top of the pockets), bath towels and sheets and comforters and hand knitted small blankets that can never be replaced. It tore holes in nearly everything that was made out of cotton, I was doing spring cleaning and I normally wash most of my summer clothing, but this time this washing machine destroyed nearly all my summer clothing. This washing machine came with the house I just purchased. (I gave my older Maytag washer and dryer to some needy folks which worked great when I moved here). Disappointed in MAYTAG. Will never buy another Maytag!

Company refuses to do anything about it, including exchanging it for a different model, since weve had it for more than a month. I own a Maytag MDB9150AWB dishwasher which isnt covered under current recalls. Yesterday, I heard a loud pop sound, and it stopped working (also popped the circuit breaker). After taking the door apart, we found burnt wires at the bottom of the door close to where they bend to go under the dishwasher.I called Maytag to find out if they would do anything, since this seemed like a defect in the materials used. They wont offer anything!

Brand New 2017 Maytag Dishwasher MOB8959SFZ4 - The first time we used it it leaked from the door. I called the plumber back to make sure it was level and lined up properly and it was. Called the dealer, they sent a technician who sent away for a new latching mechanism. 3 weeks later the parts showed up. Technician installed them ran it through empty and no leaks problem solved? Nope. So I loaded it up and ran it again and it leaked. Called the dealer back but the technician is away on vacation.They suggested that the top rack might be pushing against the door for some reason when it is loaded so I removed everything from the dishwasher and ran it through again but it leaked again.Its something to do with the door not latching properly and it doesnt have a lever that locks like the old ones did. Its such a flimsy product. It baffles me that importers are getting away with bringing this crap into the country. Im now in week 5 with a brand new dishwasher that doesnt work. Maybe thats why its known for being one of the quietest dishwashers on the market.

I have been trying to solve the issue with my washer, that my parents bought me for my new home. Home Depot, where they were bought, came out twice, and all they say is there is nothing wrong with the washer. There are plenty of things wrong with the washer. It doesnt clean the clothes. I have to use the heavy wash cycle, to try and get the clothes clean. Maytag wont even deal with the situation. The fight has been going on for over 2 years (washer serial # is CY4744432 manufacturers number is MVWC6ESWWI).Not sure if I should just give up. This Maytag (1979 model) is about as good as other dishwashers (I always rinse before placing in machine). It does have a lot more buttons that are not used than the last one I used (installed in the 1950s). Delayed start, choice of preheating water or not, choice of drying. Not big enough to do everything when have company and too big to use when no visitors present. When I am alone it takes 3 months to get enough to fill the machine and by that time they are getting moldy so most of the time I wash by hand. Black glass front with imposing row of controls across the top. I normally do not generate enough dirty dishes to warrant having a dishwasher. Since my wife died I have used the dishwasher two to three times a year.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer at Lowe's when I bought my home-the price was great and I have not been disappointed in them-have had them over 3 years now. My washer has a stainless steel tup and is a top loader. The combo of the two was less than $1,000. The washing machine has deep clean, heavy load or light load, hot, warm or cool water settings, a hand wash setting and many other features that I think most consumers can appreciate.

I bought my black refrigerator in 2006. It has ice in the door and freezer on left side and refrigerator on right. I have not had any problem with my refrigerator and it continues to serve me well. When I need to buy another one, I will probably get a stainless that doesnt show handprints.

Purchased our dishwasher 11 months ago from Lowes. Dishwasher has a 10 year warranty on racks and 2 other items. We are 2 adults in the household. Dishwasher is maybe used 4 times a week. Very light use! Circulation pump is bad which also took out the dishwasher solenoid. Im not going to fix because it if only lasts a year again that is a very expensive repair. Very disappointed in this made in the USA product. That was the reason I purchased it. Made in the USA. Come on Maytag. You can do better than this!

So I read the reviews when I bought this Maytag Bravo Washer and figured stuff happens. We bought the top load Maytag Brava in 2013. We bought the Home Depot warranty, 2 years later the washer was leaking water. 5 repair visits and 3 attempts to fix the leak before it was repaired. As of 4-25-17 the wash machine displayed un-level errors and started vibrating with a thundering noise. Called out warranty repair and they stated we need new bearings. Repair is scheduled in 2 days and now the wash machine is thundering and spewing oil so it is shut off. 4 years old, and like the other complaints clothes come out with dry patches and not clean. This is a bad machine, we are saving for our next washer. It will have an old style spindle/agitator, no California efficiency and probably not Maytag.

Centennial commercial tech. washer - We purchased this piece of junk in Sept 2013, and had to have a repairman twice before it was six weeks in my home. I wrote several letters but the only thing that I received were applications for insurance to cover repairs. I should have received a replacement as it was bad from day one, but Maytag doesnt replace!!! Its been semi-reliable for the past several months, until early this year. It started jerking when it changed cycles, sounding as if the drum was hitting really hard against the sides. It has continued to do that regularly; now it wont function on the cycle its set on. It wont spin, sometimes the lid lock wont work. It starts filling when it should be draining. This evening, it stayed in the rinse cycle for 40 minutes and when I realized it was still rinsing I had to unplug it to get it stopped. It goes on and on, (and so could I out of frustration). The good name of Maytag has turned to trash, and when it leaves my home, no more Maytags!!! PS. The dryer we got with it takes at least 1 1/2 full cycles to dry a load, and since I couldnt get it to spin properly, Ill be lucky to get this last load dry in 2 to 2 1/2 cycles.

We bought our new Maytag top loading washer and matching dryer about 2 years ago. I am a busy woman so I havent had the time to write a review, but today being my day off, once again I find myself frustrated and disappointed with this set. The washing machine has a huge capacity, which was a huge selling point for me, however, if I put more than a small load in, the clothes come out still dirty, stinky and even have dry spots on them where they werent even in contact with the water. Even on deep fill it cleans the clothes inadequately, but at least they get wet. The dryer leaves the clothing rough and wrinkled unless I use the delicate setting, which I do for all cloths, and I use fabric softener liquid and a dryer sheet.I had a front load washer and dryer before, and my clothes came out clean and beautifully soft, but I replaced them because of the musty smell problem from the washer. I wish I would have kept them and figured it out. This set is the worst and I spent so much money on them. It takes so long to wash a load of laundry, and there is no way to interrupt a cycle without it draining and starting over completely. I have tons of laundry to do and I started 2 hours ago and the first load is still going. Geesh!!! Dont buy a Maytag. I paid for the extended warranty, but they are not broken. They have sucked from the very beginning.

The refrigerator is not keeping cold. The freezer is full of frost/ice. I had this fridge looked at twice in the past. Its about 6-7 years old.In the past, Maytag was considered a high end product. I wonder where the manufacturing is taking place for most of the parts. Could be it was cheaper to go overseas and now we are all paying for unacceptable products.I will never purchase Maytag. We purchased this Maytag washer. My wife liked it at first, but after a few months she kept complaining the wash stinks, and I can also say that. I complained to my wife about the smell of our wash, especially the wash towels. The wash was turning colors and some we threw away. My wife has been complaining about all this for months and years and said she will never buy another washer like this. Then about two years ago, she was having trouble with codes coming up. We called service, but didnt get any help, so I looked on internet and found the problem with the code. I took the washer apart and cleaned the tube out and the washer worked, but every now and then my wife needs to climb over washer and unplug, let sit, then replug back in and start it to get rid of code. My wife and I are very upset with this washer!

Our Maytag French Door with freezer on Bottom MFF2258VEB quit on us after three and a half years. Called local authorized Maytag dealer. They sent out a repair man. He said the main control board was bad! After much discussion we told him to replace it. After part and labor $261.00 it is running for now. Then called Maytag to see if they could reimburse us for the part $161.00. NO DICE! I have a kitchen full of Maytag products and a washer-dryer set but will not BUY ANY MORE Maytag products. Pass the word to boycott all MAYTAG PRODUCTS!

I have read all the complaints. I have similar issues with Maytag Bravos. I’m frustrated that modern tech products stink to high heaven, especially when we refer to clean clothes not being cleaned well. The specific issues I keep getting are the following: the LF codes appear and the cold water does not fill so that it wont rinse or drain. I have replaced the defective washers and that helped for one load. I refuse to fix it. Why throw good money out for the same bad product? I’m looking for a no bells and whistles washer or dryer that works. I have issues with the dryer, too. No more Maytag products in the future. Question: Who truly makes a good reliable product nowadays?

Maytag 2000 series front load washer - f you are looking for a front load washer DO NOT buy a Maytag! I purchased a new front load washer dryer set late 2013 and have regretted to washer ever since. Continual electrical problems, door gasket needed replaced almost immediately AND the worst part is that it has ruined over $1000 worth of clothing due to it trapping cloth between the drum and door and wearing holes in them. No matter how I load the clothes or sort them it continues. I have contacted Maytag and was told I have no recourse as the warranty is over. I was very disappointed because I have had Maytag products in the past and had no problems. Please, think twice before buying this washer! It will cost much more than just the ticket price!!!

I am extremely unhappy. This is a terrible washer (Maytag washer MVWC565FW). I am so sorry I didnt buy a GE. Terrible loud noises, shakes and vibrates like a plane taking off. Funny smells as if something is burning. Repairman came 1 week after purchased and stated nothing was wrong. A huge waste of money, I HATE, HATE this horrible machine!!! Discovered that thousands of others are having problems with the control panel on their dishwasher. Mine is Model # MDB7749SBM2. Looks as if I should just junk this horrible product and buy a new one (another brand, of course). My biggest concern is that I purchased other Maytag products along with this dishwasher, ie, a refrigerator-freezer, a built-in stove top/oven and a microwave. I have had a service call on the fridge (water line), the oven (gas) will indicate a set temperature (400 degrees for example) sometimes it will only be abt 200 degrees via a portable thermometer... Sometimes it doesnt ignite at all (have to reset it 3 or 4 times, the microwave has issues with the digital readouts, and on and on and on.I have only had these appliances about two years (after warranty expired) when each unit started exhibiting problems. I paid $175 for the fridge repair and am now considering biting the bullet & replacing everything as MAYTAG/WHIRLPOOL apparently isnt going to take responsibility for any defect on ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS! Im 75 years of age, retired and cannot afford the replacement route but it looks like I dont have a choice unless someone has a better suggestion. I dont have the skills or energy to attempt the repairs myself.

We purchased our home in late 2010 and was excited about our HE front-load washer (and dryer). Immediately, we noticed mold on the rubber boot, and the smell was horrible. We ran the washer with Affresh several times and left the door to open when not in use, and that seemed to help. Then most recently, the washers been shutting off mid-cycle through normal wash setting. I used to pound the washer out of frustration, and that seemed to get the machine working, but now it doesnt work at all. We had a repairman come out, and he charged us $94 to basically remove debris from the drain hose, and he told us that if the washer fails again, wed be looking at an expensive repair cost pertaining to the central control unit. We had a second repairman come out and replace the central control unit. It worked while he was here, but now its messing up again, shutting down mid-cycle. I have to unplug the washer for hours, replug, put it on rapid wash cycle (and hope it doesnt fail), and if it fails, then unplug, wait, put it on spin cycle... Its aggravating, and were looking at $300 to $400 in repair costs. Our repair man says front loaders are a nightmare (and he still has his non-HE washer from the 80s, and its still working). Our washer is Maytag Epic Z, model number MHWZ600TE00. Avoid front loaders, and definitely Maytag or Whirlpool front loaders. Well need to shop around for a new washer, an old-fashioned top loader this time.

Me and my wife bought a Maytag refrigerator from Home Depot. The top half freezes up in a big way and it gets real frosted up I have to pull it apart every 2 months to defrost it. The bottom half starts to get warm if I dont do that. I will not ever buy another Maytag refrigerator again.

Every time I do a load of wash, it comes out looking like I slept in it. It is so wrinkled you cant even iron it all out. If the load gets off balance, you have to wring it out by hand because you cant get it to spin again. I did a load of flannel sheets and it went off balance, wringing sheets out by hand is enough to make a person want to send the machine back and get an old-fashioned wringer washer. I hate this machine without an agitator. I have always used a Maytag washer, but I would not recommend this to anyone.

Our new refrigerator was pissing all over the kitchen floor. We had to disconnect the ice maker after an alleged repair part was supplied. (We had to pay a plumber to install it.) It didnt work, so we finally had to disconnect all the parts related to the ice maker. Here it is July, and ice cubes would really be appreciated right now. Cheryl seems to represent the best of Home Depot when she doesnt assist customers - is nasty and calls them liars when they say they left phone messages for her. No - Home Depot would not back their selling Maytag, and worse, they wont assist you in finding how to contact Maytag. Cheryls response was - Contact Maytag. Good bye. I was not given a contact or phone number - nothing. I spent over $32,000 at Home Depot fixing up my fathers home and rentals and this is how Home Depot treats customers. Worse I have a worthless Maytag that ceased working after just 3 months. DISHWASHER MDB7749AWM - We purchased this dishwasher from Home Depot on 10/15/2011 for $630.00 for my birthday and yesterday the start button stopped working (cycle lights still work). We went online to look for more troubleshooting options and we found lots of complaints about faulty control panels. Sounds like thats what we have. VERY disappointed in Maytag for not correcting known issue. My dishwasher is only 3.5 years old and there are only 2 adults in our home. We run the dishwasher 1 to 2 times per week meaning this Maytag dishwasher will only last for about 200 wash cycles. Shame on you Maytag!

Called to schedule service for letters on door to be replaced ice and water completely rubbed off until you didnt know which one you were getting. Refrigerator is less than 10 months old. Also freezer door was hung lower than refrigerator door. Was told nothing could be done. It was a cosmetic issue. Very rude customer service dept and I talked to two separate people and they were both rude and unwilling to help. I can promise you I will never buy any of their appliances again.

My Maytag refrigerator, model number mff2557heb, serial number 10375839gv, was purchased in 5/2005. Two weeks ago, this refrigerator stopped working. I called the Maytag technician and then right away came to my house and find out it is the compressor that needs to be replaced. He told me to search if it is under warranty. I searched in the internet Maytag compressor warranty and I found it and then called the Maytag representative. I told them I have found in their website that compressor of this Maytag is covered for 10 years but labor is not included. Then they asked me to fax it. I faxed the copy on 6/20 and they responded on 6/22. He said they received the copy and he said, Yes, it is covered for 10 years but you will shoulder the labor. So to make the story short, this Maytag representative scheduled Friday, 6/29 for the Maytag technician to fix my refrigerator. My husband did not go to work yesterday, 6/29, Friday, so he will be home for this Maytag tech. Maytag tech came at about 2pm yesterday and when he confirmed that it is the compressor that is the problem, he asked for the warranty paper. And when my husband present the proof, the copy of their warranty coverage that came from the Maytag website, he refused to work with my refrigerator because he said the one in the internet is not valid. It is really upsetting because I faxed the copy of it to them on 6/20/12 and they honored it. Thats why they arranged the technician to come to my house and then my husband did not work for them to work with our refrigerator and then asking me $79 for just saying that it is not covered by the warranty. I even gave them the model number and the serial number of the refrigerator so they can verify if it is covered. He said yes 10 years warranty on the compressor. In fact, two employees that I have spoken to both agreed that it is 10 years coverage except for the supervisor named Rachel. Her employees agreed to 10 years based on the paper that I have faxed them and it came from their website and they dont want to honor it after they sent the technician to my house. Purchased our Maytag in October 2009. From the beginning it would make loud, popping noises occasionally but seemed to work just fine. At the time of purchase, we opted to buy the 5 year extended warranty for $125.00 (just in case). Here we are at seven months after that warranty is no longer any good and the freezer leaks all over the floor and we have to keep a towel at the bottom to soak it up.This morning I wake up to the panel being completely out and fridge is not running at all!!! We thought when we purchased our Maytag that we were buying the best of the best... not even close! We just paid for an expensive piece of junk! Who has the extra money just lying around to go buy a new fridge? Not us! This is unacceptable!!! I have read other reviews that sound pretty much exact to our experience with this refrigerator. I have the Maytag Direct Drive Motor washing & dryer set the is supposed to be “commercial technology.” The washer is supposed to keep wet clothes fresh if they don’t make it to the dryer right away. After 2 years, I disagree in that it offers no better outcome than the much older machine I replaced. Furthermore the dryer cuts off leaving my clothes damp every single time, which I cannot stand. It leaves my clothes to wrinkle terribly and damp to stink if I do not collect them fast. I honestly wish I still had my old set. All the new features simply fail to measure up not to mention over complicate and add expense to repairs.

I have had the Maytag Bravos washer since November 2010. This washer does not clean clothes. They are never even submerged in water. Had I known this, I would never have purchased it. The salesman at Sears surely didnt mention it. I remember being disappointed at the fact that there wasnt a washer in the place with an agitator. I am disgusted with the washer and the company. I realized that it has been over 12 months since we purchased it, but most people do not feel the need to investigate what is going on under the lid of their washer. I unfortunately assumed that the washer was going to wash! Silly me. No, it does a little spin spin and a little spritz of water (literally, thats it) and at the end, you are left with funk concentrated in the creases of your twisted up, stinky clothes. No agitator plus no water equals no clean! The smell is awful. Someone else described it best - a mildewy basement.Anyone else who is claiming that their clothes do not stink with this machine are surely being deceived by strong perfumes in their detergent and fabric softener. To get a true idea of what their clothes really smell like, they should wash a few times with a scoop of borax and no fabric softener. Then tell us how they smell. I am convinced that the entire line of HE washers is a sophisticated line of crap! They use such small amounts of detergent because that little bit of water going into it will not get any more soap out, much less sweat, dirt and lots of other nasty stuff. This may not be a big deal to other people, but it is huge to me. We have a small homestead. Our clothes get dirty. We spent several hundred dollars of hard earned money on a name we trusted and they do not care.Every load, every day, I am reminded of this fact and it infuriates me. Im not typically one to write in complaints, but as an American citizen where there is a free market (somewhat), I have an obligation. If a product is really good, the makers deserve my praise. Likewise, if the product is really bad, the makers (and refuses to compensate in any way) deserve my complaint, as do my hardworking fellow Americans shopping around for a new washer. I purchased the Maytag Washer & Dryer $1891.14 with Extended Warranties Model numbers: MHW5100DW0 & MED5100DWo. In September 2014 from salesman ** at ABC Warehouse for my Wife as a Wedding Gift. The dryer started malfunctioning toward the end of October, it was randomly flashing a red light indicating Check Lint Screen and when this happens the dryer will lock up not allowing you the OPERATOR to dry your clothing. We ALWAYS check our screen before use and clean after each use, so we found that light to be odd. But anyhow we checked the lint screen and nothing was on it nor was it bent out of shape, everything seemed normal to me & my wife besides the fact we spent $1891.14 on BRAND NEW washer & dryer set thats acting weird. I called ABC Warehouse spoke to **. He said Yeah they do that sometimes, you just gotta MAKE SURE YOU BLOW THOSE THINGS OUT MAN cause they dont like it dirty. I explained to him we keep it clean then he said the screen might be slightly bent. He went on to explain how he seen that happen a lot, I just said uh huh uh huh yeah yeah. So now its like the middle of November and the DRYER Check Lint Screen Light is coming on before every load now and staying on for long periods of time not allowing us to dry our clothing. So I called ** again 2nd week of December this time asking for a new unit. He told me to call the ABC Warehouse Store Warranty Department at 1-800-722-3333. I called and they gave me a number to Master Tech Appliance 1919 Federal Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103 (734) 662-0641. I immediately asked why am I calling technicians instead of new unit when my unit is still under the 1yr factory warranty and in addition too, I have purchased an 5yr extended warranty? They wasnt trying to hear that. So I called Whirlpool 1-800-253-1301 told them the situation and asked for a new unit they said NO and then added by telling me their policies and how many times they can come and attempt to fix my unit before replacing it. I screamed and shouted at them explaining to them that I have spent $1891.14 on a non-working unit for my wife as a wedding gift and I am currently drying my clothes at the local Laundry Mat, they said NO still.So I called Master Tech, they couldnt come out until Feb 3, 2015. My wife took off from work. In the mean time it completely stopped working the first week of January, we had to go to the Laundry Mat every couple days cause we got 4 kids. SMH WOW my wife is pissed, I mean furious. When ** from Master Tech showed up he looked at our unit and said its also not getting hot so he called in to his job they told him to come back and order my parts and to schedule another day to come back. 2 weeks later Master Tech called with the appt. My wife took off from work again but this time they called the day of hours into the day to tell us the parts are on back order and they need to reschedule. My wife was VERY UPSET but we did it anyways. Now remind you are dryer is still out of commission. Were going to the LAUNDRY MAT. Master Tech came 3 days later (my wife took off from work) they literally took our dryer apart (Pics Below) for it to still not work, Master Tech called Whirlpool, Whirlpool told them to order us a NEW SWITCH BOARD. Wow what the hell are you serious? So Master Tech leaves again and orders the SWITCH BOARD. They came 5 days later (My wife took off from work) new switchboard and dryer still not working. Now throughout this whole ordeal Ive been in contact with all 3 companies begging for a new unit and nobody wanted to hear that especially WHIRLPOOL & ABC WAREHOUSE. With Whirlpool knowingly the switchboard didnt fix the issue the first time, they instructed Master Tech back to my home with the same but NEW SWITCHBOARD. LOL WOW I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING TO US. Master Tech schedules yet another day to come by 3-13-2015 & yes my wife took off from work AGAIN just to hear ** say sorry they keep sending me back with the same part and they know its not gonna work but anyhow Im here. He switched out the Switch Board again and still nothing. I called ABC Warehouse and they finally okayed us a new dryer with delivery day of next day, which is today 3-14-2015 and when it arrives THE WHOLE FRONT DOOR IS BENT OFF THE HINGE WOW WOW WOW WOW. Now they say our new will be delivered 3-17-2015 and yes my wife has to take off from work.Updated on April 9, 2015: 3/17/15 ABC Warehouse replaced the 1st broken dryer to only return with another broken dryer, same problem, red check screen light flashing & dryer wont spin. They left here.

Maytag Maxima 9000 washer not working since day 1: I have placed a call on Friday, June 14, about my Maytag washer not working. The service man came in on Friday, June 15, 2012, and stated that a UI board needs to be replaced. I have called Whirlpool to ask for the part to be ordered so it is faster, could not do anything. Then, I have not heard from Whirlpool since. I called them again on Wednesday, June 20th, and I was told that the part was ordered and it will take up to 10 days for it to arrive. Once it arrives, the technician will call to set up an appointment. So, according to Maytag (Whirlpool), I can be without a washer for at least 2 weeks (as 10 days are 10 business days) and it is all good.

A refrigerator we have had for just two years has been leaking water from the freezer and damaged our hardwood floor. We thought it was someone dropping ice or leaving the freezer drawer open but no, there is an admitted problem with the mechanism. No coverage from Maytag for the cost of fixing THEIR MISTAKE. The company doesnt seem to care. Got the run around from their management.

Bought a Maytag Bravo washer, suppose to be the best of its kind from Home Depot. Should of known I was in trouble when it took them over four months to deliver it. It lasted two years before the bearing went on the machine. Whirlpool/Maytag was of no help. Ironically, the machine Im using today is my old Maytag I bought 17 years ago. The repair cost for the new machine was about 50% of the cost of the machine purchase.

We have had this refrigerator since January 2011. All was OK for 18 months. Then the lid to the deli drawer fell off, the plastic bar that holds the two drawers up broke (weve had to use roof shingles to prop them up) and another one of the plastic pieces crumbled. Now the ice maker wont work and the refrigerator makes a loud ticking noise. There are only two older adults here and we have not treated this appliance roughly. After reading all the complaints on this site, Im wondering if any of it is worth fixing. My GE refrigerator worked for almost 20 years.

Maytag washer. The worst I have ever had... Never again. The tub does not wash, swish nor spin after 2.5 years. Absolutely a waste of our hard earned money... Never ever buy another maytag again. Had a tech come out and wanted to charge almost $500 to repair it. We told him to get out and never come back.

First off, the drum split apart on the dryer. The drum part was not in this country, so instead of going ahead and replacing the clothes dryer, they told me to hang the clothes outside for six weeks or whenever the part comes in. That was three months after owning the piece of junk. I was having a bad day already, so I basically completely lost it. Im surprised I didnt get arrested for that. I wont ever lose my temper like that again. The clothes always smell bad, and sometimes really bad. Now, I find out that both washer and dryer could cause a fire. They are sending us a couple of really cheap GFCIs to keep them from a liability issue. Maytag is the absolute worst!

Maytag dishwasher model #MDB7609AWB2 - The control panel on this dishwasher has just gone out for the fifth time since 12/10. Last time I also had to replace the control board also.

When my house burned in 1995 I purchased all Maytag appliances when we rebuilt because I had good performance from them up to then. My washer and dryer even made it through the fire and are still going now 14 years after the fire. They are 34 years old. The other appliances I purchased were a chest freezer, dishwasher, stove, and, a refrigerator totaling around $2,000, a pretty sum in 95. I have nothing but good to say about the freezer and the dishwasher, however, the refrigerator and stove stick me in the side every time I look at them. I purchased a smaller refrigerator than I had planned because I was PROMISED that the refrigerator was designed to hold the milk in the door. The first thing that happened when I opened my brand new refrigerator was the shelf holder broke and the milk fell to the floor making an awful mess. They ordered the shelf holder assuring me it was a fluke and sent me on my unhappy way. After I got the part I installed it and crack-smash-pow-swoosh! It happened again! I called the store I purchased it from and they said they ordered extras so to come in and get them, that I had probably installed it wrong. Went like this and I finally told him like I told him at first I do no want this refrigerator! You said and the pamphlet says it is capable of holding a gallon of milk in the door. It does not. It cant even hold catsup bottles without breaking. Thats when he told me that yes, they were having an issue with this refrigerators door shelves. He then gave me the rest of the shelf ends he had and said after that they were gone, they had discontinued them. Also said I was past the days to trade my refrigerator. I told him that was because he kept stalling me, ordering parts. LEMONS AND LIES. Now the refrigerator sits in my laundry room, freezes food in either section on its own whim, and the shelves are held on with DUCT TAPE. I have multiple correspondence with the company but gave up as I was seriously hurt in a vehicle accident and had to put my energies to surgeries and healing. And dont get me started about the stove. I will not be buying Maytag anymore.

I bought my Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in 08 or 09, and it has smelled like mold and mildew for years but I still have to use it because I cant afford to get a new one. I cant get the smell out. Also, I have to take the pump apart at least once a year due to the fact that sometimes, no matter how you check your pockets, change still gets left behind and they dont make a screen or filter that will keep the change out of the pump. It is not hard to do, but the first year I had it, it were in the service center as much as it was home. I was glad when someone told me what was happening because I fix it myself in like 15 minutes and move on. But it should come with a self service manual showing how to do this procedure to save people money.

Did not know of the lawsuit or recall. Now I have to buy a new washer after fixing it out of pocket and mad that cant get part of the settlement. Not ever going to buy Maytag again!!

We purchased our Maytag® 4.5 cu.ft. White Front-Load Steam Washer online through Menards and picked up the washer on Feb. 5, 2022. We set it up on Feb. 6, 2022 and it didnt work properly from day one. The washer makes a clicking sound when it spins and also gets out of balance very easily. I contacted Maytag and they referred a warranty repairman in our area. He looked at the machine and said it could be one of two things and it would be a major repair. We would have to haul the washer to his shop and he would have to tear apart the washer to fix. He said it would be a big job to fix and we would be out of a washer for a few days.I also had contacted Menards shortly after we purchased the machine and they told us to contact Maytag. They wanted nothing to do with us and didnt want to stand behind a product that they had sold. Getting major warranty work done on a NEW washer makes no sense to me. I am very disappointed in Maytag and will never purchase anything Maytag again. Dont bother wasting your money like we did!

Maytag Centennial Commercial washer - We purchased this washer approx 4 years ago and have never been satisfied with the job it does. Most loads require a second rinse cycle and then perhaps not a good job on the clothes. We have had it repaired twice as it makes a god awful noise and does not do a wash cycle. I believe the repairman has replaced plastic pulleys both times and now it needs the repair job done again. High efficiency has led to high disappointment. We will be looking at getting an older style agitator model as we know they work! Maytag will have to pay us to buy anymore of their products, not impressed at all.

We bought our $600 Maytag dishwasher less than two years ago and have had three separate problems with it, from faulty instillation, to a faulty seal to faulty control panel. The first problem was covered under warranty, the second problem we fixed ourselves and the third problem, nothing can be done except pay an additional fee of $250+ for a new part. Maytag used to be a good name but with three problems in under two years, the only guarantee given is that if you buy one, be prepared for problems. This company does not stand by their products and will only ask for more money to fix their faulty items.
