Maytag Bravos Model MVWB750wq1 - After only two years, the washing machine finally died. The machine was on a f51 code - hardly anything was in the washer. I also smelled a burning smell - well, that was the pump. The machine was not pumping water out. After the repairman came out, the contract company is saying they are not covering this because there was rust reported by the repairman. How can bearings inside a washing machine be rusted? This is a washing machine, isnt it? How are they building machines that deal with water and rust?! I will never buy another Maytag product - thats a promise. I spent over 2000.00 on this set. Never again.

I have spent a fortune at the Laundromat when I have a 4 month old washing machine at home and not getting anywhere with getting anything back on this. We bought a pair of Maytag Bravo MCT washer and dryer on May 30, 2011. On April 30th our dryer would not turn on. We called the Maytag service where we bought our machine, and were told it was a fried motherboard and would cost approx $600 parts plus labour. For a machine to last less than three years is very unreasonable. Maytag used to have such a good name. That is why we originally went for this brand. We were told by the service tech, that if we opted to buy a new replacement machine they would waive the service call charge. Is this how Maytag keeps selling units?? We bought the higher end units thinking that they would last 10+ years but now it seems Maytag has designed their machines that are disposable. Tisk tisk Maytag. No wonder your service men are lonely... Your sales staff are too busy reselling to loyal customers. Well, you have lost customer with us. We are going to Sears to buy a new dryer made by GE and will sell our Maytag washer on Craigslist and replace it with the matching washer from GE.

I purchased this product at an authorized Maytag dealer sixteen months ago (Maytag front-Loading washer, model MHWE55OWW1) for approximately $1,500. The main bearing and drum are now shot. Maytag has acknowledged that it is likely defective. Notwithstanding their conclusion, Maytag has chosen not to offer a repair or replacement. The conclusion is simply that Maytag does not make a very good product, and any prospective purchasers can expect that they will not get any customer support for their products.

Like so many other people reviewing Maytag refrigerators with bottom freezers, I am dealing with water on the floor. At 64+, I am not eager to tackle the problem as a DIY project. Once of defrosting and cleaning up was enough. I love the looks of my 2 yr old $2000 4 door fridge/freezer but hate the issues. I guess Maytag is going to ignore all of us. When someone finds a reliable company, sing it from the rooftops.

We bought Maytag Gas Double Oven MGT8800FZ only just two years ago and the top part of the range oven has already stopped working. It has not been overused as there are only two of us in the family and we use Crockpot regularly which do not require the range. It was fine for about 23months, but now it will not heat up at all We have been unable to get much help from Maytag so are not at all happy with this product. We chose Maytag as it is a replacement for an older Maytag oven and we have a Maytag fridge which will shortly have to be replaced. Not sure at all if we will replace it with Maytag going on our experience with our double oven.

Topload Maytag Bravos washer sounds like a jet on spin cycle. Called Maytag, no recalls or service issues. Just wanted to sell me a service contract for over 300.00 dollars that would fix it and be covered under warranty for a year on anything that went wrong. Could set me up with a service call, but it was six days from now - no thanks. The washer this replaced was a Sears which was 26 years old. It still worked and I sold it for 75.00 dollars. Guess I will stick with Sears!

My Neptune dryer purchased in November 2005 had the drum crack at about three years old. I complained so much that they finally agreed to send a replacement drum for free. Now, two years later, the drum has cracked again and tore through the housing on the front of the dryer. The repairman said it would be too expensive to repair. Consumers, beware.

I have a two year old version of this dishwasher (MDB894995BB3) and now the start and cancel light on the control panel stopped working. I now see that this is a common theme with this model and I feel it is their obligation to repair these units with permanent fix and not the same thing that will fail again. I have 3 different Maytag appliances all bought 2 years ago from Home Depot and they are all broken. I will never buy a Maytag product again. I might replace this dishwasher as I know it will fail again. 2 years on a dishwasher is a complete failure. Unreliable Junk. Do not buy Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag gas range in the past few weeks with Aqua Lift Cleaning System. I have only cooked once when grease spattered on the walls and floor of the oven. I have used the Aqua Lift Cleaning System 5 (five!) times and the grease is still there and very sticky. This system clearly does not do what it was supposed to do. I was fortunate to have bought the appliance where I could return it; however, it has been quite a hassle and I will have to pay an additional $100 to have the old one removed and the new one installed! I feel like Maytag should reimburse me the $100 because it is obvious to me now that I have found hundreds of reports of people not being satisfied with this feature.

I purchased a Maytag Neptune Washer and Dryer at Home Depot for over $900. Within months, the board went out. The repairman said that they didnt even know how to fix it yet - no training. The board was out again. This time, it was not under warranty. The repair costs $779 including part and labor. There were numerous other little problems along the way that we did repair, but now, forget it.

I purchased a new Maytag refrigerator on September 21, 2007. The refrigerator compressor went out on July 19, 2011, three years and ten months. The repairman said that the compressor developed a pin hole leak and all the freon leaked out. The repair cost appear to be around $300 when completed, hopefully. What a crappy refrigerator. It seems that this is a regular problem with all types of Maytag appliances. Maytag is no longer a premium appliance. Stay clear from purchasing one!

Maytag washer was bought May 2010 with an extended warranty, which expired May 2014. This machine was used by two people with average wash loads. Five months later the machine computer programming didnt work and the machine sounded like a jet taking off. Whirlpool said a one-year warranty would cost $329! This would have been less expensive than a new machine, but I felt I couldnt trust having it repaired. A repairman very familiar with Maytag products said he had three service calls the same day with similar complaints for the Bravos 300 series. He told me the bearings were bad and the cost to fix was not worth the money and this machine should have been recalled. I bought another brand and will not buy Maytag again. When my new machine was delivered, there was grease on the floor from the Maytag.

In 2013, $1850.00 I purchased a Maytag double oven, $700.00 Maytag dishwasher, and a Maytag refrigerator for $2200.00. I have had nothing but problems with all of them.... The oven locked up on me had to call a repairman to fix it. Ive had to replace the control panel on the dishwasher... And the refrigerator!! (WHAT A NIGHTMARE) In 2013 just received the appliance they had to install a heater in the ice maker because there was condensation. 2014, Refrigerator dead.. Repairman had to replace interface and control board.. 2017, Icemaker crashes and had to be replaced... 2020, Now here we are again Ice maker crashed again! (JUNK). My wife told me that she has had nothing but good luck with Maytag appliances... Never again.

MDB4949SDM1 - After owning Maytag model MDB/C-2 for thirteen (13) plus years, I decided to purchase the subject Maytag Model when my 13 year old died. Big mistake. Previous model was very simplistic in rack design and it provided user-friendly options such as two detachable baskets for silverware and a special rack for delicate items.The new model has been designed so your dishes go in on angles on the top rack and as such bowls, small plates etc never stay in place once you move the rack and the lower rack configuration was redesigned and the rear area which was open to allow for bigger pots and pans to fit better has been removed, so now you have to lay your pans on top of the tines, very difficult to low the dishwasher.Additionally, I purchased the stainless steel model; apparently in the coating process a drip pattern was sealed that you can see when sunlight hits dishwasher. Further the stainless steel face that they bond to the door has popped, so when you grab the handle the face pops in and out. Lastly the new design has an adjustable upper rack; I tried numerous times to adjust the rack and couldnt so when I called Customer Service for these issues, it basically boils down to if the Service Man comes out and determines my issues are cosmetic and the rack which Ive never been able to adjust should happen to work then I have to pay the service call as there is not warranty coverage. So I declined the Service Call and advised that this would be my last Maytag purchase. I highly recommend anyone considering this unit fully investigate and test out before buying.

Our Maytag Dishwasher, Model MDB4949SDE2 was purchased May 14, 2016 at Home Depot for $470. It has performed perfectly until January 6, 2020, when a noise, loud enough to imitate grinding wheel, happened with every Start-Up attempt. An independent technician advised replacing the pump motor, thinking that perhaps some popcorn kernels had lodged in the system. (Kernels were cleaned out of the drain filter.)We operated the unit after he left, and the noise began to diminish, eventually disappearing altogether after several loads. Today, February 26, 2020, the same tech found that the large, upper impeller was clogged (not rinsing completely) with citrus seeds and VARIOUS METAL SHAVINGS & SMALL PIECES OF WHAT WOULD BE CHOPPER BLADES FROM THE INTERNAL GARBAGE DISPOSAL. After reading the Maytag Dishwasher problems experienced by others (with repeated control panel failure, burning wires, leaks, and house fires), I consider us lucky to have none of those. We will not run the unit at night, nor with an empty house. Next problem, we will buy a Chinese made dishwasher, like GE.

Maytag Centennial Commercial washer - We purchased this washer approx 4 years ago and have never been satisfied with the job it does. Most loads require a second rinse cycle and then perhaps not a good job on the clothes. We have had it repaired twice as it makes a god awful noise and does not do a wash cycle. I believe the repairman has replaced plastic pulleys both times and now it needs the repair job done again. High efficiency has led to high disappointment. We will be looking at getting an older style agitator model as we know they work! Maytag will have to pay us to buy anymore of their products, not impressed at all.

Fridge model mff2055drm00 - Purchased 2 years ago. Upon delivery and working water leaked from bottom. Called recommended service. Result took out fridge and brought in another new one. Today the fridge/freezer ices up, ends up sounding like a rocket ship. Not working efficiently. Called for authorized service. Was told needed a new thermostat... after TWO Years? Service call price $125, quote to purchase, replace and install thermostat $550. Almost $700. Big mistake buying Maytag- who knew? But never again! We are quite angry and very disappointed with the mediocre performance of this product.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos HE top loading washing machine two years ago. The clothes hardly get wet enough to get clean. It leaves a residue on dark clothes and the basket goes unbalanced at the drop of a hat. Whatever you save in water, you spend on electricity because a cycle takes twice as long as a conventional washer. It goes out of balance and bangs the machine enough to walk it across a room. I purchased this machine from an appliance store, not some discount house. I have had machines last 20 years and this one is shot in 2. I will never, ever purchase another Maytag, Whirlpool or KitchenAid product again ever.

We bought a Maytag Dishwasher on March 16, 2013. Less than 10 months, we had repairman come in 5 times. First was soap scums left on the glasses after a wash. Then, the soap dispenser was leaking. Now the control panel is not working. We have to wait for a week for the parts to come in. Total length of time for hand washing dishes since we bought this dish washer is three weeks. They said they are not going to replace it until it cant not be repaired. What does that mean?? Please never ever buy Maytag dishwashers!!!!!

Our control panel just went out...purchased in November 2015. From reading reviews it appears our only option is to purchase a new control panel and hope for another two years. Ours (MDB7749SBM3 Dishwasher) was purchased from Sears and was not cheap. When is Maytag going to recall this panel? I read reviews that this problem goes back to 2011.

My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. Food freezes in the refrigerator. If I turn it down, the freezer does not freeze. What has happened to the quality of Maytag? This unit is so new. I think I am going to take it back and buy a better brand!

They are coming for the 7th time to fix the ice maker. Three full replacements. The bottom of the freezer had a buildup of ice, another call to repair. I know where the Maytag repairman is, hes at my house.

I have had this refrigerator for a few years and never have had a problem. It keeps food uniformly cold, and is frost free. While appearance is attractive, it doesnt look like a $3,000 refrigerator. However, black pebbled-surface exterior is easy to clean and scratch-resistant. Plastic and glass interior fittings also have held up very well. I originally thought it would be too small because I was buying it to fit a certain space in the kitchen. But it has turned out to be just the right size because there is no wasted space inside. I bought this at Home Depot on sale for about $400.00 and it has turned out to be an excellent buy. Delivery was on time, efficient, and people were polite and helpful. Refrigerator was ready to be used about 15 minutes after delivery arrived. I have found Maytag appliances to be extremely reliable and made to last. They have never disappointed me. I will continue to buy them. I highly recommend it.

Deceptive company and won’t stand behind their product! Purchased brand new washer. Identified and reported noise that I can hear upstairs in my house while washing to technician. Changed a part, not related to the noise. Called back out. He admitted he could hear the noise. Whirlpool engineering department says normal. Sorry, I should never hear a clicking noise upstairs with two closed doors and 150 feet between me and the washer. Will be going back to Samsung next time.

I have a Maytag Bravos XL and have white residue on all the clothes that get washed in this machine since I purchased it. I have always used HE Detergent and have followed all Maytags recommendations to reduce the white residue to no avail. I had to wash my clothes 5 times to get the residue off of my clothing and 4 of those were without any detergent and on all temperatures and wash cycles. Model # MVWB835DW.

I just found this website & do not have my model info with me. But we have bought 2 Maytag refrigerators since 2001. We still have the 2nd refrigerator but I want to replace it as soon as we can. They were different models but had/have the exact same problem. They freeze up into sheets of ice and then leak puddles of water on to the floor. Makes me mad when I see their ad about how great their product is - what a load of crap! My first refrigerator was a General Electric; it was still running after 19 years when I left the farm. I still have my 2nd General Electric refrigerator (18 years old) down in my family room - running like a top! NOT EVER GOING TO BUY MAYTAG AGAIN!

We bought this washing machine 2 years ago and I was never really satisfied with how it cleaned the clothes. Darker pants would come out with white soap/water lines on them. The worst part, 2 years in, the washer basket seal failed and the bearings rusted. The washer sounds like a tornado every time it runs. I got a quote for $350 to repair it!

We have had 2 sets of Maytag washer & dryers. Our first set was a top load. When we bought the Neptune front load machines we gave the top load to our daughter and it still runs great after 14 years! Our front load W&D are 7 years old. We have a dog breeding business and when we have puppies the W&D pretty much run nonstop for 16 hours a day or longer. The blankets and towels come out like new every time!! The only complaint I have is the top of the front load machines seem to be plastic and scratched really easy. But the enamel on the top load still looks new! We plan on shopping for a new set this weekend passing these on to our daughter. We will buy ONLY Maytag for the rest of our lives!!

I have had the set of Maytag Bravos for about 5 years now. In the 3rd year, the bearings went out. Just recently, leaking water pump. This washer easily eats clothing. I have to disassemble every so often just to get the missing socks etc. out. The only good thing, Maytag should be ashamed I know this, is that the machine is easy to fix. I imagine since they made it so cheaply. Really nothing to the machine.

I bought my maytag stove model MGR7662WS on January 30, 2011 and have had it serviced 3 times... same problem. I set oven to 350 degrees, put food in oven and later check on food only to find the temperature reads 350 but the oven is cold. Food is not cooked and it smells like gas. I turn it off and turn it back on and it does not turn on most of the time. Service guy keeps replacing parts and says he will replace the same part he just replaced last week. He says sometimes the part comes out defective. I think the stove is defective and I have thrown away so much food because it does not finish cooking and smells like gas. Its so frustrating because my Thanksgiving was ruined two years in a row due to turkey not cooking.

We have had our washing machine for about 6 months, we got the F3 E6 error code. After doing some research, we found out that the control module was what we needed to replace. My husband and I called both Maytag and Lowe’s, (the store we purchased the washer from). We have been given the runaround. After talking with several managers in the Lowe’s warranty department, we were told that we had to contact Maytag directly about that particular problem. Okay, no big deal. We called and every single time we were put on hold for at least 30 minutes before we were hung up on. Not once did we even get to speak to a person. If we don’t get a response and our problem doesn’t get fixed, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau.

I positively HATE the new BravosXL Maytag washer, which has no decent agitator. It is ruining my clothes, as it spins with little water and leaves soap residue all over the clothes. Additionally it puts large, long wrinkles in my knits, especially disfiguring slacks. Maytag must have known how rough and ruinous this washer was on knits BEFORE selling it to an unsuspecting public! Do not purchase this microwave! I checked the reviews and thought they couldnt all have the same problem. THEY DO! This Maytag Microwave MMV4205DS1 has some faulty switch in the door latch mechanism. The warranty repair company came and adjusted the switches... and then fully replaced the switches. Each time it worked for about 30-60 days and then the same error would repeat itself. Never resolved... buying a different microwave. Be sure to check all reviews for repetitive complaints.This microwave will NOT function AT ALL with the door open/close message. Here are the details of our microwave. Purchased from Home Depot December 2015. First experienced the open/close door message around June 2016 (6 months after purchase). With the open/close door message, the interior light will not come on, the keypad will accept entries but will give the open/close door message as soon as start is pressed. Repaired under warranty August 2016. Repairman tightened and replaced one of the two fuses behind the metal plate. Also moved the door connectors as far as they would go to help with the door sensor issue. Worked until mid-December. Same message reappeared. Called repair company. Still under warranty. He order new switch parts and installed in January 2017. Microwave worked for 2 months. Then same exact door/open close message. Called repair company. Since we do not have an extended warranty, the parts would be covered but not the labor. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MICROWAVE or any other microwave that has reviews listing a door open/close issue. It will not go away! ...and you will be very frustrated.

Purchased a Maytag Bravo. One of the worse purchases weve ever made. First the much of the clothes does not get submerged. 2nd the clothes comes out extremely wrinkled. Called the Maytag people and they explained that Im putting too much clothing in the washer. I explained Im only filling the washer half way. They explained it should be filled only a quarter of the way. What??? Do not purchase this machine.

Purchased Maytag dishwasher July 2013, installed August 2013. Stopped working Oct 2, 2014. Called Maytag and they offered to let me buy a service pan for around $300. No thanks, stupid Im not. I also sent an email. Have not heard back but Im sure Im still out of luck. According to the California class action suit regarding the Maytag control panels, Maytag is saying there are no problems with them. Wish we all had some power to make them see otherwise. Will I ever buy a Maytag product again. No. They would be much better off keeping their customers happy rather than spending tons of money on ads trying to get new customers. Since Maytag is owned by Whirlpool, they will not get my money either.

I purchased this washer because of Maytags reputation of the repairman who was supposed to be needed less. Ha! Was that a joke? Ive only had this washer 5 years, repaired once and now it sounds like its gonna blow up. Please dont buy one… Maytag has a one year warranty, but unfortunately I didnt take one out due to their reputation. I purchased a Bravo Washer and Dryer from Home Depot. The Maytag Bravo washer and dryer we purchased from Home Depot did not work from the beginning. Before I called Maytag, I tried for several months to redo the way I was loading the washer and dryer.I tried several different settings however, the clothing keeps coming out smelling like it is still worn. Spots are in the clothing that normally comes out with a washing (with my prior washer). The clothing just does not get cleaned and it gets so tangled that it has ruined some of my clothing. There is clumping of the detergent, even though not a lot has been used.I had the repair company come out three times for both the washer and the dryer. They have checked and no errors codes where found. One gentleman told me again to redo the way I load the washer and the dryer. I have done it so many times, but I tried again and even purchased little dryer balls. It made no difference.I called Maytag again and was told they would have to have another company come in and do a second opinion. The person came and said that he agreed that the washer should be able to wash and the dryer should be working correctly. He recommended that a possible problem with the motherboard for the dryer (which was a possible problem mentioned by visit #2) could be handled, but he had to have it approved. He would check with the company and get back to me. I received a call the next day and a message was left telling me there is nothing he can do with the washer. He was told by Maytag/Whirlpool that I should only fill the tub lightly and not pack it down (I told everyone how I load and I never pack my clothing down). The washer should, when loaded with wet clothing, be only 1/3 to full otherwise it decreases the wash ability dramatically.The problem of the siphoning action for the softener section of the washer should be handled by running boiling water through the tube to loosen up the wax portion of the softener. The possible correction for the dryer exchanging the motherboard (it could be set incorrectly) was turned down by saying that the dryer is running to Maytag/Whirlpool’s satisfaction and nothing else would be done, since there are no error codes for both washer and dryer.My towels have a mildew odor to them when they are used. They have to be washed twice and run through the dryer a long time before I can put them away. I purchased a high capacity washer and dryer and I am told now not to fill it more then 1/2 full. That is not what I was told by the person selling it. Otherwise, I would not have purchased this set at all.

I would have given this washer/dryer a 0 star, but wasnt able to. Bought the pair and first thing, couldnt get enough water in the tub, clothes wallowing around for an hour in the few cups of dirty water that it allows. Cant even believe how terrible this combo washer and dryer is! Now I get to wash everything in this piece of ____ twice, thank you Maytag! Just took out a load and it is dingy and stinks, so now its wet, on the floor waiting its turn to go back for another wash (possibly even a third).If you want clean clothes, do NOT get this washer. Dryer has issues also. For whatever reason, the AF signal has been on for a couple of months. Turn it off and back on and its okay for a bit, then back on. Its the Air Filter. Its not plugged, so I dont know, I just keep using it with intervals of resetting it altogether. What a total waste of money. Am going to give it away for free as soon as I find a replacement! Save yourself a huge headache and look elsewhere than Maytag. Oh, and if Maytag happens to read my review, you can contact me for a refund any time, just respond to this post, you can even come pick it up and get it out of my home. Thanks a bunch!

I tried emailing Maytag but from what I read on consumer reports I doubt Ill get an email back. After our 20 plus year old Kenmore fridge was taken by hurricane Sandy I decided to try Maytag. What junk! We have a bottom freezer and were getting water build up on the bottom under the basket. In order to keep the water from leaking on floor I had to chop the ice out of the bottom every 2 days. My husband got frustrated and took the whole freezer apart only to find all the coils were covered in ice. Soon after that the ice maker stopped working. Tried different things to get it working. We finally took it apart and found the factory did not screw in all the screws on the inside so they fell out on the circuit board and shorted the thing out. Lucky it didnt burn the house down. All I can say is junk! Do not buy!

Model mdb7749sbm. Unit is just over 1 year old and fails in the same way everybody else in complaining about. Here is my question, this failure mode is obviously a designed in feature providing planned obsolescence to the device. Why is this company not being held to account for the damages in this case? Are all the judges that bought that no suit can be brought?Have all of you contacted your state consumer protection organizations regarding this issue? I would also recommend that you write both your state senator, the state consumer protection organization and any media outlets you can think of. High rate of control panel failure, devices activating by themselves when people are potentially away from the house, risk of fire or flooding... these are serious things and I would think a story that some news organization would surely be interested in digging into. Now that would serve to light a little fire under the Maytag organization if something like that was to occur.This sure seems to me to be a defrauding of the consumer - selling them a product at the top end of the price range that has such a significant design flaw that in the end can only be considered not fit for purpose. I havent yet contacted Maytag and Home Depot (who I believe are fully complicit in this as well), but I will be doing so to give them a chance to make this right, which I fully expect them to decline to do. Then I will begin writing letters. Am also considering small claims court. But above all, do not just accept this and move on! Companies like this need to be held to account, and they need to be reported so that others purchasing new devices in the future know to stay away from them.

We have had Maytag washers in the past, and they always worked well and were reliable. Not so with the Bravos washing machine. It is by far the worst excuse for a washing machine weve ever used. It does NOT clean clothes. It merely ingrains the dirt more into fabric. In four years, we have complained repeatedly to Maytag to try and get some kind of remedy to no avail. Maytag is simply not interested in standing behind their product. So now, after two generations, they have lost us as customers forever and we are telling anyone who will listen; DO NOT BUY A MAYTAG WASHER. They are terrible and not what they once were.

Brand new Maytag dishwasher, model #MDB6709AWBO, installed after one year warranty because of extended time needed to complete kitchen. It just never worked. Repairman says control panel faulty. Sears wont help or replace. Sears’ service is extremely poor, over one hour on phone transferred over and over and then told too bad by a Supervisor. After checking this site, I realized Maytag suck. And what to do now that I paid $700++ for fancy dishwasher that doesnt work. By looking at other peoples complaint, it will break down over and over.

I am a regular customer of Leons and used to buy all my home appliances from them, because I trusted their quality and service of their products. However, last time I bought French Door Maytag refrigerator from them, about two years ago, we suffered from defects in this type of fridge. The problem started before one year when my wife saw some leakage of water on floor in the front side under the fridge freezer door. In the beginning, this was occurring once a month or every two weeks, so she didnt think it would be a problem or it might happen occasionally. However, the water leakage now became worse and almost every day. We had to put a towel permanently under the freezer door to dry the water which appeared ugly. Also, I had couple of accidents that my child slide over because of that water leakage. I spoke to one technician, he told me resolving this type of problems is not guaranteed because the problem will appear again or after while. He said this could be a manufacturing defects in this type of Maytag fridge models!!! Another problem appeared also one year ago, that one of the door handle started to shake very little, but now it looks like moving from its position and there is no way to fix it!!!Therefore, when I requested the help from Leons they told me that, You didnt buy the extended warranty and we cant do anything for you!!! You can talk directly to Maytag. Then, I send email to Maytag explaining the problem. They even didnt bother to reply or call me. Now, I feel that I was bluffed by these companies. I didnt think that I was buying a $2,000 refrigerator to scrap it after two years. That is ridiculous when you buy defected product from them, but they dont care to resolve the issue.

Bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in November 2012 for a cost of $1,647.48. In August 2013 it stops making ice day 1, stops cooling & it is running nonstop, all lights on display go out day 2. Called Home Depot & was given another number to call, called that number was told someone would be out next day to look at it. Also told my warranty would expire in November & I needed to buy another warranty. Maytag customer service was very rude. If their product was any good why do I have to pay extra for another warranty. A $1,647.48 refrigerator that only lasts 9 months, REALLY!!! Do not purchase Maytag appliances if you dont want to lose your money. Shame on Home Depot for not standing behind their merchandise. If you have a problem while warranty is in effect, Home Depot should replace product.

Washing machine required service approx 3 months after purchase. Dryer heating element stopped working just after the year warranty ended. To fix dryer will cost approximately 30% of the purchase price of the machine. And all the while I am tainted by the 10 Year Warranty sticker that I never removed from the machines. Never again will I purchase a Maytag product.

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

I purchased my Bravo Maytag washer, dryer set May 31, 2015. I spent a little extra because they were suppose to be so reliable and last for MANY years. What a HUGE mistake! The washing machine is rusting. (A friend said, although Maytag’s big promotion was Made in America the inferior metal probably came from China). Buy cheap and to “hell” with the consumer! As many horrible reviews as I have read about the Bravo Series of washers and dryers I am shock there has not been a recall or better yet, a class action lawsuit! Rusting washing machine and have had to replace a part on my dryer...of course all cost came out of my pocket. I will NEVER buy anything Maytag as long as I live. I have told and will continue to tell my friends and family my nightmare Maytag story!!!

I totally understand the technology age. We need to move forward as a country and keep up with modern technology. But somebody please tell me why this means companies have the right to not stand by their products? Why do consumers have to pay the price for bad products and companies leaving us high & dry? My husband & I were excited to redo our kitchen. We bought all new appliances in November 2011 - all Maytag. In December 2012 (13 months after we bought them), we started having issues with the oven. The oven would not maintain the proper temperature. We called a service man in January 2013. He deduced it was the computer board so he replaced it. Cost to us - $350 (including service call and labor). Now, less than 2 months later, the same problem. Maytag, Whirlpool, Kenmore - whatever company you are now - rest assured, you will not survive if you continue to produce shoddy products and refuse to back them up. The service man is to stop by again tomorrow. I refuse to keep plugging money into a product only 15 months old. I will not buy another product from you again. I just hope the dishwasher, microwave and fridge make it to at least 5 years old. Isnt this funny? My grandma has a Maytag washer & dryer - 35 years old. You sure cant say positive things about your products today. Good luck to your future - youll need it.

My Maytag model MMV4205BAB microwave turns on and heats when the door is closed. We paid a lot of $$ for this overhead microwave and it has not been a satisfactory product. The turntable broke within a couple of months and now this. Im afraid it will burn my house down. This is a defective product and in my opinion it should be recalled. I have read several other posts about this exact model and problem. We purchased all Maytag appliances for our new home and we have had problems with all of them. The auger on the ice maker on the freezer broke within a couple of months. The handle on the oven door broke off while the builder was installing the appliances, and the top of the line dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes. It leave deposits on everything, no matter the detergent used. Ill never purchase Maytag again!

The water drainage tube on the Maytag Refrigerators is DEFECTIVE and needs to be replaced during manufacturing of the appliances!!!!!!! The existing drainage tube kit in the appliance has a very tiny opening for the water to drain and what was not factored in during this manufacturing of the refrigerators was bacteria and dirt build up from the water draining to CLOG this very TINY opening in the existing drainage tube system. This results in the water having no place to drain except causing an ice build up in the freezer and then water draining onto the floor when it has no where to drain in the appliance. I am told by my reputable Maytag repairman, who also needed the same repair, that replacing the water tube drain #W10619951 occurs with customers 4-8 times PER WEEK in his practice. This is obviously an ONGOING defect that Whirlpool is IGNORING and needs to be addressed and corrected with some type of compensation for its customers. The service call and the replacement of the drain tube kit #W10619951 cost me $122.31. My Maytag refrigerator with a bottom freezer is less than 3 years old.Amazing also if you google MAYTAG refrigerator leaking water there is a MULTITUDE of youtube videos and websites instructing the consumer on HOW to replace this part in the refrigerator. Obviously there is a strong need for this instructional information to the consumer for this repair since it is an ONGOING PROBLEM that has not been addressed legally with manufacturer. Action needs to be taken. I am saving the original part that was removed from the appliance in case a class action remedy is necessary to correct this costly defect in the Maytag Refrigerators.

Really havent had any problems. The Maytag repairman really is lonely. Great quality wash machines and dryers for that matter. I havent had to do anything. Spins well... Very quiet, no complaints. Dryer works well too. Many cycles area to put fabric softener and bleach. It has a extra extraction cycle and many other features.

Just had the repairman here. This machine is computerized so it won’t last. It does not have a setting that lets me do any load of laundry the way I need to do it. I have to use heavy duty to do a load and then it takes 2 hours. When I want to do a load of sweaters on delicate it will not put near enough water in the machine to wash them. The normal cycle does not add enough water to wash, let alone rinse the clothes. I can’t choose the size of the load based on how much I need to wash so I have to do more loads at 2 hours each or do everything on bulky. Whoever came up with all this needs to be fired. I am extremely unhappy with this machine and I have loved Maytag for years. No more.

148013 Stan & Pauls Dartmouth MA - 3 yrs ago we remodeled the kitchen... I went with Maytag appliances because I was always told they were good. I should have stayed with GE. Dishwasher touch pad is gone again... 2nd time in 3 yrs. Last one cost us 265.00. We are senior and thought these appliances would outlast us. We only use it about twice a week. Our freezer door tracks and door needed to be replace 6 mo after purchase. WE lost all the food that had defrosted. Our oven coil burned out already also... that was expensive to replace. Only thing that we have not had to repair (knocking on wood) is the microwave. STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG, FOLKS!!

less than 2 yrs old and has completely failed to operate. We have been patient with this model. It does roll the clothes to point they are wrapped around and among each other and must be pulled apart before placing in dryer. The wash cycle now takes more than 45 minutes, It fails to spin the load often. Now, it has failed to the point it will not operate with or without any clothes in it.

We moved into a new house and the GE washer died after the first week, then the Whirlpool replacement died after two weeks. Decided to try the Maytag which the store gave us for $50 more than the Whirlpool. It runs like a champ. At least two loads of laundry a day every day and sometimes weekends. Clothes come out perfect, no damage and the machine is quiet.

Maytag BRAVOS XL Washer - The worst washer I have ever used. Do not buy! It does not use enough water and leaves a white scummy residue on dark clothes. You have to wash them all off in warm water and then send it through one or two more rinses to get it washed off. I may as well do laundry by hand! Absolutely disgusting!

I love the fact that there is no agitator in this machine. It give lots of room when washing bulky comforters. I also love the vast amount of settings for load size and the soil settings. The con of this washer is that it has broken down on us twice in the 2 years since we purchased it. The pump has gone out both times. Unfortunately it looks like we will be making a purchase of a new washer in the near future because another mechanical issue has arose.

Low water level resulting in poor cleaning. Very poor design. Requires 2 rinses so the water savings of the wash cycle is a joke! Im very disappointed with the so-called Maytag quality. If doing very very small or handwash loads it work somewhat ok! Would never buy Maytag again!!

Our home has seven Maytag appliances: an upstairs kitchen, downstairs suite and laundry room. All were brand new six years ago and what we thought to be good quality by the price we paid for them. We have lived to regret ever dropping a cent into Maytags business account, as we have had nothing but trouble with them. We dont have small kids or teenagers abusing them. Its just us and a very responsible single adult downstairs. And every time we turn around, one of them is costing us nothing but money and grief. Our first problems began with our upstairs fridge when it was only two years old. At that time, it cost us $400 and since then, it just goes on and on. Last week, our downstairs fridge quit, and today, our upstairs one quit. We have had work done on our range, as well as our washing machine and dishwasher. If you are thinking of buying a Maytag appliance, dont, unless you like to throw away your money. I couldnt believe when I looked up Consumer Reviews on Maytag appliances tonight that I would find only 1 out of 5 stars, and read all the terrible reviews written by angry consumers. Well, add me to the list because I will never buy another appliance from Maytag again, and am beginning to think its time to sell this house to get rid of these stupid, useless, pieces of ** Maytag appliances! Maytag french door bottom freezer model #MFF2558VEB5 - It stinks to read all the similar problems Ive had with my unit. Purchased Nov 2011. Problems started within a year. First minor, deli drawer broke. I use clear duck tape to operate it and that has been fine. But not acceptable. About a year ago the water leak out of bottom freezer was noticed. The bottom inside is frozen sheet. I break up and manually remove quite often. NOTE: I intentionally do not use, did not install, the ice maker - historically they are poor risk so I dont bother. The ice unit is in the machine but not installed. I assume my water build up which freezes on bottom related to poor design of defrost drain and that is supported by other comments here. I find it disgusting. Live and learn. Its B.S.

Called Maytag to set up service call at around 9am for my washer, was given a rate of $129.00. Thought it was High but it was my only off day and felt confident that it would be a reputable company. If Maytag Priority Service would refer A&E Factory Service to me for service they must be a reputable company. I was sadly disappointed after numerous calls to A&E Factory service, a 5 hour window was not met and they were not concerned other than they would document it. Then I find out that A&E Factory Service has a Rating of 1 1/2 Star rating out of 5 and thousands of complaints to BBB and Consumer Affairs, dropped by Lowes for horrible customer service but Maytag Priority Service recommends them to service their product, says Volume on how Maytag takes care of their Valued customer after the sale. Maytag has lost a customer for life. A product without customer service and trust is nothing but a piece of metal!!!! I will be picking another Brand that doesnt use A&E. Maytag you have lost my trust and you cant buy that back.

A year or so after purchasing our new home, we purchased new appliances. We thought Maytag was a good company to go with. We had serious issues with our 2005 Maytag bottom-drawer freezer refrigerator right off the bat. It arrived with a large dent in the door. They offered to take $50.00 off the price. We insisted on one without a dent. They replaced the refrigerator, and shortly after, the board and the ice-maker went out right away.Although the parts were under warranty, we had to pay for the labor. The refrigerator is 6 years old and now it is making a constant knocking sound. We paid a lot of money for what we thought was a quality appliance. What a joke. We had also bought a new Maytag washer and dryer set and they fell apart after 5 years. It’s the same with the Maytag dishwasher. Do not buy Maytag appliances. They are cheap. They fall apart. The customer service is poor. I feel cheated.

I love my dishwasher. The only hold back is similar to what I hear about all others and that is that it takes a long time. I love that is it quiet, has lots of room and is easy to use.

Maytag Bravos washer and dryer both need replaced in 3.5 years! Control board had to be replaced on washer in under 2 years and now the replacement went bad in about 15 months. Maytag can’t help! Hundreds of dollars wasted. Dryer is not much better as the control board is now malfunctioning! DO NOT PURCHASE MAYTAG!

We purchased a French door Maytag refrigerator model MFD2561HEB in November 2007. In August 2008, the unit stopped working suddenly. The high voltage control board was replaced under warranty, but the tech could not determine why the board failed. I called Maytag to demand a new refrigerator. The best they would do was to extend the warranty for 6 months, no charge. The unit quit twice more in September. A tech was summoned (paid service call), nothing found. It started working again. Since then, the thing has quit several times. We unplug, move all food to a second refrigerator, wait a day, plug it in, and move the food back. The useless box quit completely this week, not quite 5 years of service life. The tech said the board must be replaced again, no guarantee. We declined. I called Maytag again to demand a new replacement and escalated the complaint. They are to call back, ha! In the 5 years of poor service (and poor customer service) from Maytag, the 30-year old second refrigerator has been up to the task of preserving our food. This experience has made me vow never to do business with a Whirlpool-affiliated brand again.

Wow! I wished I had reviewed this page before purchasing a Maytag. We bought a new Maytag Range (#MGR5751BDD) from Menards in March 2008. Within a couple of months, we were out of a stove. I was lighting the burner to make dinner for my family (it is a gas range) and all the burners started making a clicking noise and they caught on fire. Luckily, my husband was nearby and took the fire extinguisher to it.We thought for sure that the house was going to be gone. We contacted Maytag and they had a guy come out (wasnt the friendliest and cted like he could care less). He stated there was wiring that was bad but because we took the fire extinguisher to it we probably voided the warranty. What? He would submit a report to Maytag.Maytag reluctantly gave us some money but not near enough to cover the stove that was only a couple of months old. Now, I cant use the new range that is 2.5 years old. It pops and spurts because the regulator needs to be replaced. The bad thing is by the time we pay for a repairman and the new part, it will cost us a lot of money we cant afford. This stinks.

After 9 months, the $850 Maytag Bravos started making extremely loud grinding noises during agitation cycle. We had 5 repair tech visits from A&E Repair, Maytags national repair vendor (and several cancellations + unscheduled visits by same). Each tech said a different part needed to be replaced requiring weeks of waiting for parts deliveries and getting huge boxes delivered to our office and dragging them home since my husband and I work for a living and are not home to accept large parcel deliveries. We had to unpack the washer basket in order to get it into our car and saw it was completely damaged. After 4 months of tech repair visits, using my home as a repair shop, forcing me to take days off from work and still no resolution to the problem, I was finally able to get Maytag to replace the machine. Our previous washer was original to our 25 year old house before it died. Unbelievably, the new Maytag has the very same problems and we are back on the same merry-go-round. This has become a part time job and super headache. I have never had such a horrible experience with a purchase or company. This is not a case of heavy usage either. We are ready to dump this machine! Do not buy a Maytag or affiliate product - Maytag is the worst!

I own a 2004 Neptune front end washer that Ive dealt with the terrible smell of stagnant water since I got it. Now the motor went and I was told I need a new washer even though the product warranty information clearly states the motor is covered for up to 10 years. The repairman told us that the motor thats in my machine is no longer being manufactured. How is that my fault? I do not have another $800.00 for a new one, which is now not even a lot of money for a washer. Ive already bought 2 washers since I built my home 14 years ago. Its just not right!

My husband and I purchase both Maytag Washer and Dryer 7 month ago 2017, because we have purchase Maytag washer before and were very happy with it. But this new Washer does not clean clothes at all, it is worthless. We will not purchase another Maytag Washer again.

The worst wash machine Ive ever used. It doesnt clean clothes well. It constantly had error codes. Im constantly having to unplug and reset the machine and 4 times out of five it will NOT restart. Not to mention it stinks worse than my sewer. I have to run the refresh cycle every four to eight loads. Ive owned this machine three years. And it has been three years too long. I will go back to a ringer washer or a wash board and have better results.

I own my oven for 10 years. It still looks brand new. The bottom oven went out and they do not sell the replacement parts anymore. I think its terrible that I had to go and buy a new oven when mine still looks brand new.

Dryer delivered nonfunctional. Tech showed up the following Tuesday. Diagnosis main board and one sensor dead. Tech returns following Thursday. Replacement board DOA. New dryer still nonfunctional. Awaiting new board with no functional $1100 dryer. This dryer replaced my three year old Maximus which was deemed too expensive to repair after three repairs. Please do not buy a Maytag/Whirlpool product.

Home Depot is selling defective appliances manufactured by Whirlpool and refuses to provide a full refund. I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot in August of 2010.Washer broke in February of 2011. No parts available for repair, Whirlpool replaced washer after 4 weeks. This washer broke in July 2011. No parts are available for repair until August 17th.

DO NOT BUY Whirlpool Corp Appliances, ESPECIALLY MAYTAG. They do not stand behind the units they sell. We dropped $600 on this Commercial Grade wash machine (5.3 cu. ft. High-Efficiency White Top Load Washing Machine with Deep Clean Option, ENERGY STAR Model MVW7232HW) and paid to upgrade the lines to stainless steel. It died after 22 months, a bad seal leaked water internally, fried some components (no water ever leaked from the unit onto the floor) and despite there being a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty on parts sticker on the unit... the fine print says only the tub and motor are covered.There is no way we could have known the seal was leaking and it was not the result of misuse (overloading) or abuse. The parts to fix it are back-ordered months and cost more than a new unit after install. Glad I paid $150 to learn all this. It also did not wash great on most settings. Purchased at Home Depot, they refused to stand behind the product as well.

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

Bravos MCT - I researched online and bought the highest rated machine that had the features I wanted. I like the top loading and the less water used. It cleans well but I would like more control like water temperature for example. I have had this washer about a year. I also want quiet but did not get it in this washer. That is tough cause you dont know until you have it! I think that it is hard to buy big appliances and be happy with them at my age because at 70 years old you remember when a washing machine was built to last a lifetime! Now they last maybe five years and they cost as much or more! I am not interested in lots of the bells and whistles. I just want a washer that will last and does its job. Mine has a glass door in the top so you can watch your wash (I guess..). Well, who wants to stand around and watch your wash...get a life!!! Also, it fogs up right away so you couldnt see it if you wanted to. It all seems pretty silly to me but I guess that is the way the world works today. So I go with it and I watch my wash.

I purchased this washer approx. 2 years ago. It will not spin. Called 3 repair men, only one would look at it. The cost to repair is more buying a new one. I am buying another washer and it will not be a Maytag. Seems from other post live on this washer is 2 years. My son has one just like it, told him of the problems. He is thinking of selling and getting another one before his quits. There are 5 in his family.

I wrote the below to Maytag on their FaceBook page, of course havent heard anything back from them. Adding this on since I forgot about it, I have dogs and wash their blankets often, not that theyre dirty just for the dog smell. I have to wash them on the sanitize cycle which is an 1.5 hours long because if I use the normal cycle which is only 43 minutes they come out smelling exactly the same way they went in. I saw someone else post that their mothers front loader doesnt put in enough water so Im wondering if thats what happens to mine. So wish I would have checked the reviews before buying, thought I was getting a great washer buying Maytag.This is what I wrote on their FB page: I bought a Maytag front loading washer on 5/10/16 which was delivered and set up on 5/13/16. On Wednesday 10/19/16 it stopped working, so just over 5 months from the day it was installed. I called your company on 10/20/16 for repairs, they couldnt get here until today, 10/24, so 5 days with no washer. The customer service rep had all the details on what happened and Im sure passed them along to the repair company. He ran diagnostics, said it was the drain pump which was obvious even to me, but claimed to not have one with him even though they were in stock. Cant make it back until Wednesday, so two more days with no washer. He then proceeded to tell me that the dryer had to come off (stacked on top since the washer is a front loader) before he got back, that the warranty wouldnt cover two people coming out. So Im supposed to spend more money to hire someone to come out, take off the dryer and then pay them again to come back and put it back on. I called the customer service department again and was told they dont cover installation which stacking is. She said the warranty doesnt cover stacked units, as far as I can find that isnt stated in the warranty so please let me know where that is stated in writing. So I have a just over 5-month-old washer that needs repair already (bodes well for the future doesnt it??), will be without a washer for almost a week because the repairman didnt bring the most obvious part with him (maybe wanted to be paid for two calls?) and have to pay someone else for installation so it can be fixed. So wheres the Maytag man? I am not a happy customer and will be letting as many people know as possible. Ill be in the market for other new appliances soon, will sure as hell make sure theyre not made by Maytag, Whirlpool et all.

I bought as a pair the Maytag Heavy Duty Washer and Gas Dryer 30+ years ago The pair are like a Timex watch --takes a licking and keeps on ticking. They have never failed me and I have never had to call the Maytag repairman.

This has been the worst washer I ever bought. First the washer does not fill with water even on the deep fill function. It pours little water and washes the clothes with basically no water. The sensor for the lid broke less than six months of using it, soap residue is left on the clothes. I do not recommend this washer at all.

The control panel died on this dishwasher (MDB7749) after only 2.5 years of light use. I was quoted about $250.00 plus labor to have the panel replaced. I will not fork over several hundred dollars for a defective panel, especially since many others have complained about repeated failures and known issues with the control panel. No more Maytag products for me. I plan to purchase a Bosch to replace it.

Maytag washer, dryer, oven, microwave over-the-range - all crapped out in four years. I will never buy or recommend Maytag. I believed them to be one of the best brands but apparently theyve learned a few too many shortcuts.

Failed control panel Quiet Series 300 - After seeing countless notations on the net concerning failing touch panel and control boards, now my relatively new dishwasher has started its demise. It is terrible that so many people have the same problem. I sent an email to Maytag and have promptly been ignored. Unless it sets your house on fire, I guess they are not interested as I am no longer interested in supporting this product. Called serviceman to tell him the washer leaked and he said it was my fault because the door wasnt wiped properly. (There was no visible dirt because I wiped the door each time as per his instructions.) Never got it resolved. After much arguing, I gave up. Then, after the warranty, it started tearing our clothes apart. Maytag says, Nothing we can do, warranty is over. We can find you a service person other than the one who sold it to you but you have to pay. So many ruined clothes. Now I read lots of reviews with the same and worse complaints from others. They sure have gotten away with making garbage.

This oven has been used so very seldom that I didnt feel I could rate it until now. We use the oven 1-2 times a week since purchasing it in March of 2018. There hadnt been any reason to use the Self Cleaning part of the oven until last week. I have had a oven with self-cleaning for 20 years and the oven went out so we purchased this one because of its sleek look and features. However last week I decided to use the self-cleaning setting on it and came home after being gone all day to find that the house smelled like it had a fire burning in it. I ran to the oven to find the whole inside cover in a white powdery substance. It looked like a snow blizzard had gone on inside of it. I was use to a small amount of white residue being inside the oven after it finished and it just wiped right up. We spent hours vacuuming it out then scrubbing it down with vinegar water and a sponge with a scouring pad on it. The casserole spill was still on the bottom, most of the enamel is gone and the glass will not clean off. I did not use any chemicals in the oven prior to turning it to the self-clean mode, I believe that it overheated and burnt the enamel off and distorted the glass. Whirlpool offered to send me a cleaning kit. I told them that would do no good. I had already scrubbed and used a razor blade to try and clean the bottom and the glass and them sending me different cleaning supplies would not fix the fact that 80% of the inside protective coating on the oven is gone. Now it is a porous surface. A Serviceman was scheduled and he called prior to arrival today and asked me to explain what was going on with my oven. I explained and he said I can almost guarantee that Whirlpool will say that it is cosmetic and they only cover cosmetic for 3 months and that I will have to pay for a $100.00 service call. This is a load of crap. This coating is part of the oven to keep it clean and protect the metal from the high heat of baking in it. Purchased standard Maytag refrigerator w/ freezer on top in 2012. Freezer has never been able to keep ice cream. Never called for repair because after reading several of these complaints, mine seemed to be a minor frustration. However, I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I do not have a problem with Lowes; the problem is this crummy washer. Any digital anything is only as good as its programmer, and it seems that all digital stuff suffers from the same malady. I long for the old top loader I had 30 years ago. It actually did get the clothes cleaner and they did not smell after being washed. Plus, I could customize each load just exactly the way I wanted to with the knobs and dials. This Maytag goes to Error when adding water because I have an old well which does not supply enough water fast enough for the way it was programmed. I have to fill two two-gallon buckets and carry them to the laundry room and pour them into the washer. Every time. Hot, cold, or warm, it doesnt matter. And I, too, have to pre-wash some dirtier items. The old gasoline Maytag did a better job than this one. And this is progress!!!

I had a warranty that I bought over a year ago. The dishwasher since then has been a monster beyond control. I called Maytag and the woman asked how long it has been acting up. I said about a year, but I was not sure. They refused to honor my warranty because they said it would only go into effect 60 days after I purchased it. They are translating about a year as an absolute and refused to honor the warranty. I would never ever buy a Maytag product again. Never. I will contact every person I know not to buy such a faulty product.

I bought a Maytag washer 6 years ago. Energy saver. Less water. Nothing ever seemed clean. Always white streaks and I used liquid detergent. So we went out and bought another Maytag with agitator June 2017. Never drains properly. I will never ever buy another Maytag product.

Maytag washer MHW5500FW had service just a month after purchase and still a year later the washer has problems spinning using direct drive. Even a few towels are soaked when cycle is done or errors out and must be restarted. Most of the time the washer has to be cycled on spin to remove water from soaked items, not just a simple bath rug, towels, bed sheets. Almost anything has a problem spinning. Had to purchase another year of service coverage as I dont trust the washer will last. Soap dispenser needs to be diluted despite using correct soap, per service tech advice which triggers sensors to shut down. Machine looks good but not ergonomically designed without the stand as you can easily lean over the washer and turn on and off accidentally. Same goes for the matching dryer, also can easily set off the on pause and on/off button. Dryer works great other than that.

Recently May 2019, bought a Maytag Bravos Washer, HE. Its now installed and so disappointed with this product. Not enough water to wash Clothes. Would of taken cashback from Maytag, but cant wait 6 to 8 weeks for cashback. 6 to 8 weeks after they have washer picked up. How long did we want to go without clean clothes, hummm. Problem was looked at by a professional appliance repair company sent by Maytag. His opinion, suggestion was, washer just didnt deliver enough water to wash clothes. I know its HE, suppose to me water miser, but Maytag Bravos just doesnt give enough WATER. How do we get clean cloth like that. As I mentioned in summary, I have added attachment close proximity to add water to washer raising water level to wash Cloth. Yes with proper water it does clean good, JUST NOT A AUTOMATIC WASHER now. Were only two, Rural NB, up to 3-4 washes per week, more when company around.

CONSUMER BEWARE: Maytag is the WORST corporation to deal with. We have purchased a Maytag range from them recently. Unfortunately we have had 4 appliances delivered to us damaged from Maytag. The fourth time around we finally got a supervisor on the line. In order to expedite the situation. And the supervisor (Frank) refused to expedite or even call to try and move up the 5th delivery date. All he talked about was Maytag company policies to us. To make a long story short and I do mean long. Buyers beware. Maytag DOES NOT HOLD THEMSELVES ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING. Once the appliance leaves their facility they are not responsible for it. I CANT SAY THIS ENOUGH. DONT PURCHASE MAYTAG PRODUCTS.

We got our Maytag dishwasher in 2011. Weve experienced a lot of the same problems other people have mentioned. Control Panel was the first thing to go out. Now it has a foul odor coming from it and it doesnt get the dishes clean. The heating coil has stopped working and is rusting. This dishwasher is junk and Im very disappointed. I will never buy Maytag again nor any company related to them.

I purchased my Maytag HE washer from Home Depot. I immediately started getting spots on my clothes that looked like bleach had taken the color out. After trying 3 times to get a tech to my house, he came in and looked at it a few minutes. He said nothing was wrong and to run a cup of water through it. I called back the next day (5/17/11) and told them Im still having problem. They told me to call the appliance team and have a different tech come out. I called and left a message. No one called me back. I called the next day and asked for a supervisor (Kitty), who gave me specific numbers to call. I called an appliance repair, who was leaving on vacation and gave me yet another person to call. Finally, I got Scott out to look at the washer on 5/27/11. He said the only thing he sees wrong is it got very sudsy, so use less soap. I started using the smallest amount of soap and diluting it with water, running the washer on the bulky cycle and running water through the machine if I ever used bleach. Did it solve the problem? No. Finally in December 2011, the machine ruined a very expensive shirt. I called Maytag and was informed that if a tech comes out, I would have to prove the machine has failed or they would charge me. I have contacted Maytag and informed them of everything, including all of the damaged clothes. I was told they could not compensate for consumer error. I informed them the only error I made was buying a Maytag product, and I will never make that expensive error again.

I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot August 2018 and it has leaked soapy water every 3 out of 5 times that I run it. Home Depot said they dont cover installs after 2 weeks and to directly contact the manufacturer for service. Maytag sent out a tech 3 times but they werent able to replicate the problem, so nothing has been done to fix the dishwasher even though Ive shown the tech different photos of the dishwasher leaking. The service tech said they will now charge me $90 to return, even though the dishwasher is still under warranty and not repaired! Ive owned many different dishwashers (rentals and houses) without any problems. This is the first Maytag brand and it is horrible. I will never buy another Maytag and have warned all of my friends and family.

I just bought this refrigerator a bit more than 2 years ago. I have to change electronic module for $300 CAD including labor. Home Depot advised me to contact directly Maytag and to express my dissatisfaction about this unreliable product.

Two months after purchasing our Maytag refrigerator, the light/cooling unit went out. After speaking with Maytag’s customer service and scheduling a repair company to come fix it, it took 3 separate trips over a span of 2 or 3 weeks to finally find the correct replacement piece to get it to work again. It is now 10 months since buying and we, once again, are having issues with the lights going out and randomly coming back on, the water/ice machine not dispensing, and we’re just waiting to see if the cooling unit isn’t out as well.I called Maytag as soon as we noticed the issue, and after waiting 15 minutes on hold, they scheduled a repair service to come check it out... in 5 days. Having spent $2300 on a refrigerator for our family, we were hoping for a reliable product. I would NOT RECOMMEND this refrigerator and will never buy anything, or let any friends or family members purchase anything, Maytag manufactures ever again. As if the faulty product itself weren’t bad enough, I have had the absolute worst customer service experience. Who would have thought it could be so difficult to look up a customer account, even after having it registered with Maytag after purchasing.
