I purchased my Bravo (MVWB300WQ2) washer a little over two years ago. It took all day to wash some loads due to leveling problems. Example, you could not put more than two bath towels in at a time, even with the towel setting. The washer would stop and you have to re-position the towels. You cannot leave because it stopped so often. Also, the washer makes an extremely loud noise during the spin cycle. My most recent problem, it does not complete the spin cycle. My clothes are still very wet. I refuse to call service. Its just too costly. It would be the third time in less than 3 years. However, the first time was within the year warranty (no charge). The basket had to be replaced - it was ripping my clothes. During my second service call, the technician advised me in purchasing an extended warranty. I paid for the service call and for a one-year extended warranty which just recently ended. The washing machine is not worth paying for service again. I am going to purchase a new machine instead!

I bought a Maytag Bravo Series 300 washer and dryer for $2,000. The dryer is fine, so far, but the washer is dead. I have not received any answers from Maytag and the product is already outside of its warranty. I only had it for two years.

This is about my model MFI2569VEB2 refrigerator. It has French doors with bottom pull-out freezer, refrigerator door ice and filtered water dispenser. The delivery person installed the fridge and took off outside plastic and left inside plastic in. It froze everything until I took out the inside plastic. Within the first year, water started shooting out of the top of the fridge. A rubber connector for the icemaker, which was on top of the fridge, had broken. Within 18 months, it freezes everything in the refrigerator, even on the warmest setting. I have to leave it unplugged each night. The icemaker gets big chunks of ice stuck to it and wont let ice out. On top of all of that, the water from the fridge door pours out extremely slowly, this just how they are built.I will have to fix the thing myself and eat the expenses, so to speak. I bought the Maytag because Samsung had poor reviews. No matter how fancy you want your refrigerator to be, and how nice you want it to look in your kitchen, stick to the basics. The fewer bells and whistles, the more reliable.

This is the best microwave that we have ever purchased. I especially like the baked potato choice. Its also very easy to use and clean. I would definitely recommend it.

Purchased the very top of the line Maytag Washer and dryer.. Top loader MVWB955FC1 washer. I got this huge washer and dryer because I was tired of paying $20 to have my Cal King comforter laundered. Bad idea.. Yes the comforter fits easily in the drum of the washer but it does not even come close to clean.. Why no agitator..? It leaves soap all over it in addition to the dirty laundry smell.. The dryer is better but it takes at least 3 cycles of taking it out and un-wadding it to get it all the way dry. Now my wife just hangs it on the line.It has been just over 3 years Feb 2017 since I bought both units from HH Gregg.. Now the top of the washer around the soap dispensing orifice has rust bubbling up worse than my 25 year old unit I put by the curb.. Maytag support is no help.. “Sorry rust is normal and it your unit is out of warranty”. I asked If this would have been covered under warranty.. NO!.. Not unless you report it within 30 days.. We only use it once or twice a week.. What terrible service..

Bravos mct. Unbelievable, this washing machine is terrible, no water. The water level doesnt even cover 6 items. Have to wash triple the loads of my old washer just to get the clothes clean. I have to go to the laundromat twice a month. I shouldnt have to do that. Almost want to fill the washer with water, but dont know what will happen. Very unsatisfied with this washer.

We currently have had our Maytag washing machine for approximately 15 years. The first thing we noticed was how user friendly it was. Also, the options that came with our washing machine met all of our needs. The second thing that we were excited about was how quiet it was. Our previous washing machine could be heard at the back of the house and was constantly out of balance. The third thing we noticed was how much cleaner our clothes were. Our clothes smelled better and had less wear thus saving us money. Speaking of which, the machine is an energy saver. One of the most significant attributes I can attest to is how reliable it is. There has never been an issue that required repair services. I am sure our Maytag will be in service for years to come. c

Our circuit board has went out twice. The stove is not designed well. The oven vent sends hot air over the plastic panel / circuit board. It melts... The first one was under warranty and the second, only three years later, was not. This is a very expensive part and Maytag will not even talk about giving me a discount.

2 Year old washer. First the actuator was replaced. A 150.00 charge. Two months later the pump is shot. Another 200,00 to replace the pump. This is worst piece of ** washer I have owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

First we bought the washer and not even a month after it was ruined. In the span of the year that weve had it, it has broken down about three times. Then we bought the matching dryer in August and by the beginning of December it has broken down. Called customer service and they are not coming until January 18. Have me waiting over a month to fix it. Worst brand ever and even worse customer service. Never again will I buy anything from this brand.

Weve had 2 Maytag washers that lasted a combined 41 years. Five years ago we purchased a Bravos XL top load washing machine directly from Whirlpool. Like many other reviews, it is impossible to keep the machine from going out of balance and trying to tear the laundry room apart. I called Maytag and of course they want to make sure the machine is level in at least 3 dimensional space as well as 2 parallel dimensions per String Theory. As far as the 3 dimensions, I assured them I had already thought of this (as an aside, ever try to find any flat metal on one of these machines? Kind of helps when using a level.)So after more exciting conversation, they offered me a Warranty for $437. While trying to control my laughter, I said I could trash the Bravos and buy a new machine for that price. As far as repairing it, it cost $120 for a repairman to grace my door step plus $35 every 15 minutes plus parts -- again, the decision is to trash it and buy a new machine. In case I was too subtle in my comments, I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN. Im too frustrated to tell you about my KitchenAid fridge. As much as I detest it, I am forced to join the buy and trash 5 year club . Sometimes the good old days were really better.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer and on almost every other load, the dark clothes (mainly slacks) come out with white splotches on them and then I have to re-wash the pants and the splotches go away. Bought new and only had one service call in 20 years. The control panel was replaced. Since then, the dishwasher has performed well and, factually, was far less expensive than many other models! That figured in our decision when remodeling our kitchen back then.

Bought this stove in 2011. 9 months ago I had a 300$ repair for fuses to two out of the five stove top burners. Several days ago the ovens were not lighting and I called for repair again. Well the ignition switch in the lower oven had a frayed wire from the factory which created an issue with the control panel. Today I was quoted 600$ to repair the ignition switch and the main control board. PARTS ONLY. I am not repairing this stove. Called Maytag due to the issue of a defective ignition switch wire and got nowhere. Very poor quality product.

Purchased a maytag washer last yr. and I feel it is the worst washer I have ever dealt with. I hate that every time I wash somethings they come out with lint all over them and they are the same things I have washed before and never had the problem, plus I hate the cover locks so you cant put water in before you put soap in.

I have a Maytag Centennial washing machine which is about 3 years old. In the past 6 months I have to replace the actuator twice. I have had Maytag washers for about 40 years. I will never purchase another one unless it is the old style. That would mean that it would be a used one. This machine is a bad purchase. Maytag use to stand for quality, but not anymore.

All I ever heard was Maytag is the best so I purchased the washer/dryer over a year ago and have had nothing but trouble from the get go. It takes an hour and a half to two hours for a wash (if youre lucky). Normally, I almost always have to stop and restart it and move clothes around, babysit it. I cant wash but four or five garments at a time. Its a piece of junk and I tell everyone I talk to, never buy Maytag, ever.

My Maytag AquaLift Range MGR8880AS0 was given to me in September 2014. While the range top was excellent and gave me no problem, the so-called self-cleaning is a total joke. I do not do a lot of grease baking or broiling so I have not needed to clean the oven only twice. The first time was a total surprising astonishment. When I opened the oven immediately after the cycle was completed, the oven was not even 350 degrees, most of the water was still in the oven! This happened shortly after a family crisis (my husband became ill and died), so I did not do any inquiries regarding the cleaning failure. Today, January 24, 2018 I decided I would do my second cleaning. Wow, it was a total and complete failure. The oven was barely warm.I always had a Maytag washer, way back in the 1970/1980. My four children grew up with the Maytag, So, I think when one of my children decided to gift me with a new range after a change in location, the Maytag name was at the top of the list. Unfortunately, in 2014 Maytag was no longer what it had been way back in the olden days. The name Maytag does not stand for what it used to stand. End of my story. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get this off my chest. Since this was a gift, I do not have a receipt. However, I have an insurance renewal due advice (coverage expires 05/24/2018).

I purchased Maytag washer, as it was rated the best of the best at the store. First of all, Delicates cycle washes exactly like Normal. All my sweaters got ruined as the agitation is VERY HARD. I dont think the manufacture even knows what that cycle means! Absolutely awful! Theres no difference between Delicates and any other cycle!Second, Deep fill cycle. If you select off on that cycle the clothes get hardly damp. HOW can you wash hardly damp clothes???? If you go with Deep fill, the washer is supposed to weigh your laundry 1st and ONLY pour the water according to the weight. Well.... you can put only 5 small items and the washer fills all the way to the top! What the hell is this???? How can few items fill such a ginormous washer???? It doesnt work! Im so pissed and want this washer out of my laundry room!

I do not like this Maytag Centennial Washer at all, I have had it for a year and a half and it just does not perform good at all. Most of the time the clothes still come out with dirt on them but what I am most mad about is the fact that it keeps leaving bleach spots on my clothes, several washes after I use the bleach. I will definitely not recommend this washer to anyone.

My Neptune washing machine does not drain or spin. It keeps going unbalanced. I am told that I used the wrong detergent. The machine takes a whole day to wash a small load of clothes and then never finishes. Clothes and towels are constantly being ripped and torn. This Maytag product is inferior and we have paid a lot of money for this product that does not work. Repairs to this product are not advised, we have been told that we just need to buy a new one again. This is poor service and poor advice.

I purchased a Maytag electric slide in stove, in stainless steel. The aqua clean is a joke, ran it for three cycles after cooking one roast and it does not work. Then to add insult to injury I had to get on my knees using a turkey baster to remove what was left of the two cups of water. The finish on the front is coming off. Not at all what I expected from a 1500.00 range. Poor quality. Now there is the sound of a fan running and I am not using convection.

I wrecked on a bike, had surgery and in a wheelchair. I bought and had a Maytag dishwasher delivered from Beaumont Home Depot and this mdb7749sbw2 model never never worked. Home Depot told me I had to bring it back myself (Im in a wheelchair at the months that was impossible) and I called Maytag warranty. They sent a tech. He replaced a front power panel that didnt work. They sent out two more techs and they said use other soap Lemi Shine and the other guy said use Finish and turn your hot water heater all the way up. That never worked either. I have had this a yr and it just sit there and money in the trash. It makes me sick.

Terrible! First and last frontload washer I will ever have. Seems like every other load will not spin clothes dry no matter how many times you rebalance. You have to add more clothes or take some out dripping wet to finish the cycle. Most annoying appliance I have ever owned.

The ranges are getting great but are more so with digital than buttons and knobs which they should still have, especially for the handicapped and some elderly who prefer them. It would help prevent injuries. It was hard for me to find the knobs.

My dishwasher was bought December 2013. The control panel just started going crazy and cant control anything. Unless you have bought extended warranty Maytag isnt doing anything. This is obviously a manufacture defect and no one is doing anything about it. Will no longer buy Maytag products if they cant stand behind their product.

After reading several of the reviews, it looks like Maytag doesnt get it - or maybe they do and its a plot to make more money. Our dishwasher model MDB8959FSZ4 was installed in Dec. 2016. Within the year, it started leaking. After many service calls it was determined that the arms holding the upper rack were not installed properly and were pushing against the door and water was coming out. After that was replaced, weve had 2 years of relative good use. Now, it wont empty and that started after smelling something burning. The burning smell has gone away but it wont complete a cycle. Service tells us its the drainage pump and that will cost nearly $500 to replace. We wont be spending another dime on this piece of crap. Well replace it with NOT A MAYTAG. Im wondering if it has to do with the control panel as many others have mentioned. We dont care to find out at this point. We are buying something else.

I purchased the microwave less than two years ago. I noticed the display panel would not always work a few months ago. This is part of the control panel that shows time, etc. Called Maytag just now & they told me that the control panel is starting to fail. I could purchase a one year extended warranty for $289!!!Are you kidding me??? The part alone would be around $160. What has happened to Maytag? I thought they had a good name. :( Very disappointed.

I had the washer repaired twice in January, once in April and again in August, the same repair wire coming out of harness. I had to pay a second time before Willie, the repairman, finally put a longer wire on the harness. Maytag told me they would send a new repairman after I called to complain. All 4 times, its been the same man and it cost me money. It seems like a bait and switch with the repairman. I called both A& E and Maytag. Both refused to refund the $129 second charge because it was more than 90 days. I say its been the same issue, repairman is a scam when they dont fix it right and charge again. I had another man there who knows about repairs and finally told the repairman to change out the wire or it wouldnt have been done this time either. I do want an attorney to contact me about this as this is wrong. Im going to file a complaint with BBB.

So this washer, Bravos MCT cleans good not great. Saves water but clothes dont always come out clean or smell fresh. We have had it for just over a year and the control panel stopped working. Warranty is good for only 1 yr. UGHH!! It is all one unit so the complete circuit board had to be replaced. Half the cost of this washer new! I saved money by replacing it myself. Took 15 minutes. Very easy. Disappointing when you see this is a come problem with this model.

I purchased my washing machine in July 2020 and it was broken by November. It took months without a washer before the warranty finally replaced my machine. I had the second machine less than 6 months when the water pump went out on it. They told me it would be two weeks for the repairman to come out. In the meantime my clothes were locked in the washer half full of dirty water. They told me we would have to force the lock to retrieve the clothes so they would not mold. The repairman called, never showed up, just called to ask what was wrong. Told me he would order parts and I had to wait 21 days to see if they would be able to find them. Today is day 21. I called the warranty back and was told it would be escalated and someone would call me in 4 days with a resolution. In the meantime I have spent $60 a week doing laundry for my family of 6 at the laundromat for MONTHS. Out of the 18 months have dealt with Maytag, I have spent more than 6 months at the laundromat. When I asked to be reimbursed the money I have spent they offered me a free 6 month extended warranty or a fifty dollar gift card. This product is garbage! The customer service is garbage. Dont waste your money.

I have had this Maytag washer maybe 2yrs at most and it is junk. I am a single mom who desperately needs my washing machine. My kids clothes get soiled, they ARE kids so I wanted a deep water fill option when looking for our newest washing machine. Well when I start a load of laundry, I can hear the water running and draining as it is filling the basin. So for 1 they get wet but not washed. Then when it gets to the rinse cycle it stops so the only option is to manually switch it over to drain and spin in order to not have sopping wet clothes, however, since the water doesnt fill, they arent being washed, the rinse cycle doesnt work so the soap is left in the clothes, then I just have to drain and spin in order to get access water out so they will dry in the dryer. Its very upsetting, I have no way to buy another washer, I assumed this costly purchase would last me a while.Sadly, I have seen many negative reviews re: their product. I didnt check reviews before purchasing, I knew I needed a large basin and wanted the deep fill option. I always thought maytag was a good brand. Now I am in a jam. :( If you are looking for a new washer read the Maytag reviews before considering this brand. Live and learn. :(

MFI2568AES - Last night we woke up because of a noise coming due to continuous snapping of the waterline against the walls of the refrigerator as well as a wall of the house structure itself. Very loud noise. I pulled the refrigerator, went behind it, and shut off the waterline. That stopped the noise and allowed me to go back to sleep. However, need your help to resolve this issue. I will appreciate if you can offer me pointers and guidance.

First of all, I had a Maytag for many years and could not have been happier. When it came time to replace, I did not even consider other brands. I have had my dryer for less than a month and the interior already looks dirty. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and reported the problem I was having and would like to return this model and purchase a higher end model assuming that it would not have the same problems. Home Depot said all appliances are special orders and can not be returned. I could contact Maytag and have someone come out and look at it for no charge. I contacted Maytag and they told me that they could have someone come out but if they decided it was just cosmetic, there would be nothing that could be done and I would be charged. I said, I am telling you it is cosmetic! Why would I pay someone to tell me that? The guy suggested I take a damp rag to clean it. I said think about all clothes that are being dried are damp!! I will never buy a Maytag again and will not buy any appliances from Home Depot!

We bought a Maytag range Nov 2013. My daughter has maytag appliance and stand by maytag. We grew up with maytag. But those days are no longer. It is not about quality, it is about how many did we make, how many did we sell. I am very disappointed with my range. I tried several times to use my upper oven, in disbelief my lower oven was heating. This happened so much that I touch to make sure that the Correct oven is on. I also have problems with my knobs for my burners. I could not turn off burner after finished cooking. We had to unplug range and turn off gas, if we did not do that the burner would have remain burning. This very uncomfortable for us.I still believe in maytag. I am sure we have not talk to the right person. There is too much at stake for the company, too many complaints are bad for any business. I too am a victim, very disappointed, I wont give up. I have a warranty with home depot and they have been great. It is not their product but they sold it. I hope everyone with a lemon will get problems solved. We only want what we pay for, even manufacturer when they buy other products they want quality as well, we all do. Hoping everyone will be able to get justice. Thank you.

My Neptune Maytag pair have been dependable. Great features. Now at 20 yrs old still kicking. Washer-front loader now has issue with fab softener going into wash correctly. Could be build up? Trying to self-fix. Very gentle with washing fine things. Hope I can keep going with them.

We spent $600 on a Maytag Jet Steam Plus dishwasher and its junk. We bought it in May of 2013 and the top panel is burnt out and the ribbon or control wires is corroded. Maytag wont pay for replacement parts and I wouldnt recommend anyone buy Maytag again. I thought it was supposedly a good brand but its nothing but garbage.

I bought the Maytag Bravos X washer and dryer combo 4 months ago and its been a hassle every time I use the washer. The dryer is fine, but the washer constantly has problems. No error codes, I just hit start and it clicks intermittently in sensing mode for 10 minutes and shuts off. Once in a while, it decides to work - adding water, but never cleaning thoroughly and I always have to run an extra spin cycle because the clothes are sopping wet once it finishes. Ive been reading reviews all over the internet describing similar issues with these models and I am kicking myself for allowing myself to be convinced Maytag is a quality brand. Dont waste your money on these pieces of junk and really do your homework. I wish I had never bought them and am angry that I will have to deal with it until it eventually breaks down in the very near future, Im sure.

Worst washer ever. Wish I had read all these reviews before I bought. I have had the same poor experience. Laundry doesnt even get wet while being washed. Agitation does not affect laundry. Just moves back and forth under laundry. Clothes do not come out clean. Feel I was ripped off.

I bought the Maytag Bravos X, last year. The silver color and glass top fooled me into thinking this was better quality than it is. This washer is very easy to go out of balance. I had to open the top (easy) and install/glue a little styrofoam, to limit the amount the tub could travel. Second unresolvable problem is how to wash anything larger than ONE outfit. If you watch the videos, and read the information, this washer is supposed to flip your clothes so whats on top makes it to the bottom for agitation. Ha! Absolutely BS. Unless you wash a very small load single level. The clothes in a TYPICAL size load will sit exactly as you loaded it.the only attention the top layer of clothes is only sprayed with water, no agitation. Hope you dont have kids. Doesnt XL mean extra large? It sure does, you can wash one pair of extra large pants, and or one extra large shirt.

Bought a Maytag bottom door refrigerator/freezer about 3 years ago and within 6 months had the bottom drawer ice freeze issue that is so common all over the internet. Today is the THIRD ** time Ive had to take this piece of crap product apart and clear the ice. For all of you who have contacted Maytag in the past... Ill bet you got the same response I did when the fridge was new. They claim there are NO KNOWN ISSUES. They actually told me they had NO RECORD of previous complaints with this issue. MAYTAG SUCKS! I wouldnt take a free appliance from them. Worst customer service possible and they take no responsibility for their ** design and problems. There should be a class action suit for this issue. IF ANYONE IS EVEN CONSIDERING A MAYTAG APPLIANCE... Do yourself a favor and think twice.

JADE model RJRS4270. Had this model for 10 years with more than 10 service calls. Always breaking down and Whirlpool will not honor the warranty. Paid for an extended warranty service to Maytag/Whirlpool offered by the manufacturer. When unit broke Whirlpools warranty service provider Assurance said Whirlpool no longer provides the parts needed, sorry can’t honor the extended warranty you had paid for, no parts, and no refund. The evaporator drip tray had been replaced three times. Asked to have the unit replaced. Whirlpool was absolutely disrespectful and only offered me to the option to buy another discounted $8K unit for a with ~ $2K discount.So far approx. $6K unit + approx. $1K extended warranty (not honored) + approx. $1K parts and service out of my pocket (Whirlpool continued to tell me it was not warranted). Although the operator’s manual said it was covered. While under warranty Whirlpool doesnt have replacement parts to service it. Multiple service tech are telling me there are many known issues with this unit. Found out there’s class action law for the same issues Im experiencing. Whirlpool only offered a new unit at approx. $6K. So total for me to date if I choose to take the discounted unit would be $12K. Dont buy this unless you have a good lawyer. Hardly seems reasonable. Jade Specialty Department. Customer support call back - Jared, no warranty, sorry. Explained contract to him. Nope/Nada. Customer support transfer - Jan, yes was warranted. Asked to speak to manager/sup. Said if you won’t honor warranty then please provide replacement. Transfer to Mike said we must schedule service through Whirlpool to fix contradicts. We asked for reference number to track. Mike said they don’t use reference numbers (contradicts Jared from when he asked me for a reference number). Two days no call from Whirlpool. Customer support call back 4/7/16 - Kari, offered small discount for equivalent new or refurbished unit $5,739 for Model KBSN602ESS. Said although under warranty, Whirlpool may not be able to provide parts to repair unit, but they will sell me an equivalent unit.

I got a new washer and dryer for my ex wife and son last August. Its October and the agitator broke off. She is not abusive to things and just the two of them dont produce much laundry. This was just poorly built. Maytag should be ashamed to have built such a poor product. I thought GE had the worst appliances, but Maytag must have hired their engineers. I have pictures and it has 10 year warranty right on the lid, lol. Should be 10 months,

My freezer has been leaking from the bottom for a few months and now the icemaker has quit working as well. The refrigerator has been purchased less than two years ago. The warranty is expired. I will not fix this refrigerator, as it is a gigantic piece of junk. However I would like to be compensated by Maytag at least 1/3 of the price so I can have it removed from my house before it creates more damage to my floors and subfloors.

I purchased a Maytag top load HE Bravo 700 3 yrs ago. I only wash 3 loads of laundry a week and the bearings went bad in the washer! Maytag/Whirlpool will do nothing to help me because they say I should have purchased the extended warranty. Well there is NO WAY that I could have worn out those bearings; it was a manufacturing defect that caused them to fail and hundreds of people online all say they have the same issue. The repair cost is $400 and would only have a 90-day warranty so I might as well purchase a new washer. Home Depot (where I purchased the washer) has been very helpful and is offering me help on the purchase of a new washer, but even they could not get Maytag to do the right thing and repair my Bravo. I am going back to a none HE machine with an agitator. This has been a horrible experience and Maytag has no business putting commercials on TV that say they are dependable.

First off I dont usually spend my time writing complaints; however, I feel Maytag is deserving of my complaint. Purchased dishwasher Model #mdbh979sab1 in 2013 and days before the 1-year warranty was up the front control panel quit responding, rendering the appliance useless. Got that fixed under warranty. Now about 1 year later guess what... Its got the same problem. Began to read others post on this site and found that this is a common issue. One person posted that her dishwasher began to smoke and nearly caught her home on fire. Maytag was kind enough to offer a paid service call and enrollment into their extended warranty program. I think Ill cut the umbilical cord on this one and go get something more reliable and doesnt pose a potential fire hazard.

I sent an email to Maytag regarding my Maytag Bravos washer which I purchased two years ago at a cost of $1,100. I have started having problems with the machine last week. I kept getting the UL error code. I called a certified appliance person to come out to find out what was wrong. I do not believe any of the appliance people know what to do for these machines.First, I was told it was the control board that needed to be replaced, then I was told the motor had a crack in it and it needed to be replaced, and then the springs needed to be replaced. So they replaced the springs. This was a Tuesday afternoon. It worked fine until Wednesday of the next week and I started getting the F51 code. Just let me say if you cannot stand behind your parts on a $1,100 washer that is only two years old, then something is very wrong. I am in for $159 on repairs so far. Who knows what the cost will be to finally get the machine repaired.

Worst brand ever. They both broke at the same time. Spend too much money. Never buying these brand again. Maytag sucks. Dont buy Maytag washers or dryers.

We just replaced our 20-year-old washer and dryer for a new Maytag Bravos set. The Home Depot staff convinced us that top loading units were of good quality and reliable. We were fairly satisfied with our expensive purchase when our washer stopped spinning. We are just past our 1-year warranty of course so we called the service department. A young man in a beat-up pickup truck showed up and spent his time reading the manual that was hidden under the washer. His best guess was a $300 part plus a $100 fee for him to show up. So to repair a less than 2-year-old machine is $400. Im tempted to buy a different washer. It wont be a Maytag, unless you can convince me otherwise. I give you credit for great advertising! I was convinced that Maytag was a good name with limited repairs.

I had a Maytag washing machine replaced under warranty back in 2011 via Maytags Extended Service Plan. This took me several months to get done because of back and forth issues with Maytag not wanting to honor the replacement. Executive Support had to get involved after I wrote a complaint on this site. When they replaced this, they sent me forms to extend my warranty, which I did. They never changed the model or serial number so Ive been paying for 2 years now for an extended warranty on a machine I do not own.The new washer broke and I called in for service on 11/18/13. Active Appliance was sent out, said it was an easy fix but they needed to order a part. On 11/20/13 they contacted me to tell me I needed to speak to Maytag because my Model/Serial didnt match with my warranty records. I double-checked these and called Maytag Extended Service and was told that I would need to speak to sales at 866-730-6094. I spoke to someone named Lindsey there who told me that I would need to send a letter in to cancel my policy and request a refund for the 2 years Id been paying for a non-existent unit and that they could start a new policy for me and get a service order in without issue. My call was disconnected during this and when I called back, I was told to call back in the morning to get back to Lindsey because the office was closing and they couldnt do callbacks.I called back on 11/21/13 and spoke to Sam who verified that the letter was needed to cancel and refund but that I would have to pay for the repair to the washer myself and theyd tack on the cost of the new warranty onto that bill so Id be covered AFTER THE FACT. Because the unit wasnt covered under warranty, Id have to cover the costs myself and it had been MY responsibility, not theirs, to make sure that the correct model/serial was on the coverage.Maytag sent me the forms and I would expect them to have added the new information on it...not send me forms with my original washing machine information. Especially as this had been escalated to Executive Support and the person I dealt with there had gone over everything to make sure it all got handled in a satisfactory matter. So for now, Im waiting for a callback from the original rep, Lindsey, but Maytag tends to Stonewall and not return calls so Im dreading how long this entire process is going to take and cost.

We purchased the washer and dryer pair...beautiful looking, no agitator, water efficient. Load sensing feature. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. WORST APPLIANCE WE HAVE EVER PURCHASED. Used it 3 times. Clothes would not rinse, left white soap residue in the folds of the black clothes, even after a second wash. Home Depot was just the GREATEST, they replaced it for us. We went with a less expensive model GE. With the agitator and full water load...save yourself A LOT OF TROUBLE, stay away from Maytag Bravos XL.

I absolutely do not like the fact that you can’t choose what size load you have. The washer wants to do it for you but it is not very good at it. You have to fool the washer to get any kind of water level or just use the deep fill every time which is what I do in order to get the clothes clean! This defeats the whole purpose of trying to save water. Also there are too many settings. I mean we’re just washing clothes here not flying a jet. I personally would prefer dials instead of the digital instrument panel. So much easier.

I have a Maytag washing machine for close to 20 years, so when it was time to replace it, I bought another Maytag: the Bravos. I read reviews, and most negative ones complained that it used too little water, twisted clothes, and was noisy. But I wanted an HE and can tolerate noise just fine. What I cannot tolerate is the fact that -- less than 2 years after purchase -- the control panel is malfunctioning, and it will cost $500 to repair. Id rather buy a new washing machine than throw good money after bad on this one. Bye-bye, Maytag.

In late March or early April 2010, I purchased a Maytag Microwave from Sears in Ocean, New Jersey. The microwave was installed by Sears technicians on April 9, 2010. The total price for the microwave and installation was $356.53. I specifically purchased the Maytag brand because of Maytags longstanding reputation for quality products with long lifespans.On October 5, 2014, the microwave became inoperative and displayed a code of SE. On or about October 9, 2014, I contacted Maytag Customer Experience Center, via email, and advised them of this problem. I also wrote to Maytag explaining the situation. On October 15, 2014, I was advised via email that, as my warranty had expired, any repairs were my responsibility. I requested that my email be forwarded to Maytags CEO for consideration and review and was advised on October 20, 2014 that a Maytag supervisor would call me within two to three business days (of October 20th). After a follow up letter to the CEO, I was again advised on October 28, 2014, that the microwave was out of warranty and any repairs were my responsibility.I should add that I contacted Maytag Repair Service and was advised that the price of the repair far exceeded the price of the microwave. I feel that four years is not the expected lifespan of a microwave, especially a Maytag, and can only conclude that the Maytag microwave which I purchased was defective. I have purchased less expensive microwaves that have lasted for at least ten years. I got absolutely nowhere with Maytag personnel, found them to be curt and dismissive and would NOT purchase another Maytag product nor would I recommend them. Buyer beware - Maytag is not what it used to be! Very disappointing.

I wish I would have read reviews before I purchased this washer, but I was in a hurry to get a new machine. Maytag has a great reputation and we went on that!! My Bravos is 2 months old and we have been away for a month! What a disappointment so far. What Ive noticed is all my dark items have residue on them, and today some of my light clothes came out looking like there is grease on them. Im afraid its going to wreck more clothes! Does anyone know if theres been recalls on the Bravos XL washing machines?

Purchased a new top loading HE washer in 9/2012. This machine gets very little use - approximately 10-12 loads a month. It is now broken awaiting parts which will cost about $200. Of course the warranty is only good for 12 months There is no excuse for a washer this new breaking and costing this much to repair. What a piece of junk! Avoid all Maytag products.

I loved my first Maytag combo unit and when that quit I bought another Maytag. The Neptune is a front load washer. I immediately noticed the door gasket getting moldy. I contacted Maytag whose response was leave the door open. Well, I did that and not only did I still get mold, but the light burned out. I recently started having trouble - the water doesnt drain and the clothes are still wet. Rather than have it repaired, I elected to buy a new washer/dryer unit. I would NEVER again have a front load washer and certainly not Maytag.

I have been washing clothes in different washers for almost 4 decades and never had a terrible washer until now. It has total control of the water level and it NEVER has enough water added. I have to add at least 2 full dish pans of water to every load. My washer does not allow you to pick your level because it does it automatically and no theres way to bypass this problem. It moans and groans for almost an hour in slow motion at its best. It should be illegal to sell such crap!If the intent was to save energy it fails when it runs twice as long as other washers. The instructions that are in the lid say that when you set it on deep water wash that it does not sense automatically-LIES! This lid must be generically made for other washers that they have because again, you cannot choose a water level. When a washer runs for almost an hour (this is not soak or extra rinse either) it is not saving energy over those that run for half that length of time. I wish I had returned it, but I listen to others who say that this is how washers are now. I still owe 150.00 on it and hate writing that check.

This Maytag dishwasher was purchased because Maytag has always been represented as a reliable brand. Wish I had done some research on this problem before repairing it! The control panel went bad after 18 months (and at least 6 months of this time it was not used at all!). The repair cost $300, the dishwasher only cost $429, and if I had realized how much this would cost I would have bought another dishwasher instead. Wonder how long this control panel will last? I called Maytag to complain and was told by Dana badge no. ** that there was nothing to be done as it was out of warranty. We have had dishwashers for 10+ years before that never gave us any trouble. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she told me she didnt have one! Really, how about if George Moore the CFO or Arthur Learmonth the President call me back on this one! We shall see what they say, but I can see by all the complaints about the same issue with Maytag dishwashers that we will probably be out of luck unless we start or join a class action lawsuit (looks like there is one in California already). I will amend this post if Maytag decides to stand by their product and at least pay for the cost of the control panel, but Im not holding my breath.

Purchased the Maytag Bravos upon recommendations from Lowes and Home Depot to replace a 20-year Kenmore that finally died. Since the Maytag brand was always considered to be the top of the line washers, we purchased the pair. About a week ago during the spin cycle I thought that a 747 was taking off in our laundry room. Called a local appliance repair service who said that there had been numerous issues with the Bravos series and to call Maytag to inquire about a recall. After 45 minutes on the phone with a very sweet naive young lady, she told me that the new models did indeed have a 10-year limited warranty on parts. However my 3-1/2 year old washer was not grandfathered into the warranty. I could (a) pay the $150 service charge to have someone come to inspect it or (b) buy a new one. I will be purchasing a new one but it will not be a Maytag or Whirlpool product. Now we know why the commercial for the Maytag repairman is not running... Hes now very busy working on their broken products.

Was coerced into purchasing this fridge three years ago. Told how Maytag is the highest quality fridge etc. From day one it was noisy and seemed to be running half the time. I had asked for a quieter fridge, partially why I paid $2000 for it. Now there is something wrong with it. Not sure what yet. But for $2000 it should not be failing three years later. My Samsung was quieter, 1/3 of the price and lasted at least 8 years. Thought about calling customer service but read too many bad experiences here in regard to that. Will never use Maytag again.

We had this washer 16 months. We bought it new from Home Depot. The clothes came out with spots on them, white residue and grease spots. This was ongoing for awhile. The bearings went out after 6 months. It was so loud now the water pump went out. I was told by Whirlpool (they bought out Maytag) that water pump is on back order and could take a couple of months!! To fix the bearings and the water pump was almost 700.00. A new washer is 1000.00. We junked it and had to buy a new washer GE. We are sick about this waste of money!!! What a piece of JUNK this Maytag Bravos XL is!! We need to have a class action suit and try to get something back. This is ridiculous and they arent taking responsibility. Whirlpool/Maytag are rip offs!!!!

Four years ago we upgraded our 20+ year old Maytag washer and dryer to go with a more water efficient model. The old units were working like champs so we upgraded with Maytag assuming it to be equal quality. From the beginning we were not pleased with the washers cleaning ability and now we have electrical problems and a leaking transmission. Our serviceman estimated repairs to be the cost of a new washer. (Im not talking about a Maytag for replacement.) I e-mailed the Maytag company and they basically said Too Bad. Totally disappointed!! Wish we had our old units back.

I have had this washer 4 years...I bought this washer in May 2016. It makes 3 very loud noise as it moves into its next mode/cycle. Found out this is normal. IF, it is close to your living room, IT is loud.. I called again, saw that it was not filling up. 1/5/2017.. IT will NOT fill up to wash my clothes properly, clothes were still dry!!! Came out, (they sent a company near my area), said everything is right. I have tried, by sending messages, many times to get them to check. No one seems to care. The machine allows water to go out the bottom, rather than fill in the machine. I watched it myself. THERE should be a recall on this machine, definitely, something is sooo wrong.. I NOW have to put it on BULKY SHEETS full time, to get my wash clean.. NO energy savings there... BUT my clothes are finally clean!! Seriously, something is wrong...

Bought top of the line Maytag Commercial Technology washer because it was supposed to be the most advanced on the market. My experience has taught me that advanced does not equate to efficient, effective, and expedient. The washer settings for an average load (sheets or towels or clothing) is about 111 minutes per load (nearly 2 hours!!). To adjust to what would be a quick wash is about 25-30 minutes BUT the washing part of that is only about 5-7 minutes. I feel like a Pioneer Woman because I must spend most of a day to run four (4) loads of laundry (sheets, towels, dark clothing, white clothing). This is extremely frustrating!! I am sorry I purchased this product.

Had a Maytag washer, 3.5 tub, stopped working. The motor upper bearing lost it press, drive shaft dropped 3/4 inch and locked against lower housing, stripped out pump spline. No f/u by Maytag after many attempts. This is a design flaw, the upper housing is so thin, if it had .001 press on it I would be surprised. This flaw resulted in a cascade failure of motor and pump.

I purchased a Maytag gas range in the past few weeks with Aqua Lift Cleaning System. I have only cooked once when grease spattered on the walls and floor of the oven. I have used the Aqua Lift Cleaning System 5 (five!) times and the grease is still there and very sticky. This system clearly does not do what it was supposed to do. I was fortunate to have bought the appliance where I could return it; however, it has been quite a hassle and I will have to pay an additional $100 to have the old one removed and the new one installed! I feel like Maytag should reimburse me the $100 because it is obvious to me now that I have found hundreds of reports of people not being satisfied with this feature.

This Maytag was installed in this house in the summer of 1984 and washed dishes for my in-laws for 26 years. We moved in as a family of four and this Maytag dishwasher is still washing the dishes clean. No rinsing, just make sure the food is gone. We replaced the belt about 6 years ago and I think my Mother-in-law replaced the door seal. It has a power saver button, 2 cycles, and the cups are on the bottom rack, plates and such on the top. I dont put plastic bowls on the bottom because it gets a bit too warm for them but all the bells and whistles still work. It is a fairly large model, WU301, with ample room for plates and platters. I dont wash pots because I dont like what the dishwasher soap does to the finish on them. Having the cups on the bottom is nice and the rack is very usable for other dishes as well. The cutlery rack is located on the top rack, removable and a decent size. Almond body, silver and dark brown accents, very 1984 but not a bad look. All of the buttons and knobs are easy to read and use. Maytag, 1984, model #WU301.

I purchased a top load Maytag washer the spring of 2019. My clothes come out partially dry, with a film/residue, and debris left on them. I was told that they use considerably less water; however there is not sufficient water to wash away small amounts of anything left on clothes. I have contacted Maytag 3 different times. Each time my concerns have been dismissed. The only solid advice they gave me was to use less soap, which hasnt changed anything. They also told me to clean my clothes before I put them in the washer (we have no children at home; Im not talking about really dirty loads). They told me there was nothing they could do, and I was just stuck with the washer. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and the Maytag service. I would not recommend their washer or their service. The dryer works just fine.

Do not buy one. Maytag is unresponsive to repairs or parts that are needed. They are not even manufacturing the part that breaks. If you are lucky, you will find out there is someone who will fix the defective computer board... But Maytag will not tell you. We were without fridge for 4 months... They did not care.

After using my GE Profile to death we replaced it with a Maytag; mostly for the cost. Although I hate to admit this, remember the old saying you get what you paid for - Well its true at least in the case of this Maytag oven. I am a constant cook and own a bakery, I often bake many of my products at home. Since getting this oven I have had nothing but failures. The cakes are over done, underdone, cookies burnt, not cooked enough; my time frame for recipes is so off! I wrote a cook book and have baked for years so I know for a fact its not some miraculous mishap that all of a sudden I cant bake. Ive had them come calibrate the oven but still no success.Im going to call them again but I felt compelled to let people know this is the worst oven in history and avoid purchasing it at all cost. I plan on having the service team come out one last time but if this doesnt work I plan on replacing it. Its a Maytag Double Wall Oven-Top Convection-Self Cleaning model no: MEW9630DS-SS. BUYERS BEWARE!

The range I have works awesome, which is surprising for an electric stove. For being 11 years old I am happy with how it is still holding up. The only thing I would improve is if it was a double oven instead of a single!

We purchased a Maytag dishwasher at Home Depot in White Bear, MN in November of 2011. The dishwasher just quit running last week and the repair person told us the control board needs replacement. We will have the control panel replaced but have determined this machine is of very poor quality and will never buy a Maytag appliance again.

Buyer Beware!! Purchased my Maytag over the range microwave in May of 2014. It has a manufacture date of Feb. 2014, and it is now Sept. 2014. It is a very nice looking unit but a bit oversized. My handyman that installed it had to raise my cabinets above my stove two inches to avoid it being too close to the range. The motor is pretty loud and It often times does not heat evenly. The light on the unit that shines down on the range is not much better than the power of a night light which is a bit disappointing considering it looks like a higher end unit, and down to the reason I am writing this review today is that for the first time I went to change the bulb. I unscrewed the the light cover which is placed awkwardly toward the very very back of the unit, only to find that when I went to twist out the burnt out bulb (that has been in there since I purchased the unit) that the bulb broke off after hearing what sounded like the break of a seal of glue, and the bottom aluminum piece of the bulb is stuck in the bulb socket. I found that the bulb is placed in an awkward place behind the light cover. Instead of the bulb facing to the left or the right or to the front of the unit it is facing toward the back which is making the bulb socket impossible to see, which means that in order to screw in the bulb you are screwing it in from an angle that you cannot see unless you climb on the range and lay on your back, or get a mirror to help see where you are screwing in the bulb. This is just a very awkward and unpractical design coming from such a well known company with such a common and ordinary product. Now I am sitting here writing this review and I am trying to figure out how I can remove that little piece of aluminum stuck in the light bulb socket and since it is not facing to the left or right and facing toward the back, it leaves me about less than 1/2 space to work with using my hand or a tool to remove that piece, or I can just leave my broken bulb piece in there and screw the cover back on until I call service for Maytag. I believe it is still under warranty but from others experience that I have read about I am not feeling confident I will receive great service or a desirable outcome. Wish me the best!! We were delighted with our new Maytag refrigerator, model #MBF2258XEB, until the compressor died less than a year after we bought it. Home Depot, where we purchased it, directed us to the A&E Company for service. Two weeks later, we are still without refrigeration; Maytag refuses to replace it and even refused to overnight the new compressor. We thought Maytag set an industry standard for excellence. Don’t buy this product if you want a reliable refrigerator from a company that stands behind its products.

I purchased the Maytag Bravos washer and dryer set one year ago, and have asked myself why ever since. The oversized laundry tub is what attracted me to the model, but it sure doesnt deliver for the money it cost. On normal settings, it doesnt use enough water for all the clothes to even get wet. After the load was complete, there were areas of my clothes bone dry, and obviously still dirty. I soon learned that the only way the washer uses enough water to get all the clothes wet and clean, was to set the machine on the bulky setting. This is the only setting I use now, but all of my clothes winds up twisted together, sometimes in one big ball. As for efficiency, that statement folks is a joke! Because I use the bulky setting, it uses much more water than a traditional washer ever did, and when the load is off balanced, it will go through another rinse cycle to try to even it out. This machine uses far more water and electricity than my old school set! I suppose if you dont get your clothes dirty, you may not need to use the bulky setting, but thats the only way I can wash my laundry with this machine. The old style set I had before this was Maytag also, and lasted about 20 years. I was more than happy to purchase Maytag again, but this set has been nothing but a disappointment. I dont plan to buy another energy efficient machine again, nor would I recommend this product to anyone!

Maytag Bravos Quiet series 300 washer - I purchased this washer 14 months ago from LOWES. After having a huge issue with a Kenmore Oasis machine. $$$. Anyway, this machine started a week ago with F1 code and Ld code. This is getting to be a financial strain buying washers every year or two. This is my third in 5 years. Looks like I will need to get another one, again. It makes no sense to repair it at a high cost when the replacement parts are the same as the failed parts. Everyone seems to have the same problem with this washer. Get better electronics guys. The rest of the machine is in fantastic shape. My two cents.

Bought this Range in March of 2019. I really liked the large oven in it. Right away I noticed that the oven didnt back things very uniformed and very quickly, so a lot of burnt cookies. But I adjusted to that, not super happy about it but it was fine. Tuesday while cooking the cooktop suddenly went out. I had been smelling something strange the last couple of times I had cooked with the oven and cooktop on so I just assumed it was the oven, it did need to be cleaned. Well I ended up pulling the range out from the wall and taking the back metal piece off...the wire running to the cooktop was burned, like 3 inches up the wire and also the wire coming into that wire on the range cord. Just destroyed. I was shaking. My house could have burnt down.I just attempted to call Maytag, knowing my warranty is up (1 year) but thinking they should know about this issue. I was told that they would need to send out a certified tech would need to come out to access the situation...ok...when are they available and she said the 29th of December, really? How many people can go 3 weeks with no oven? I take care of my 93 year old neighbor and make dinner every night. So obviously I cannot wait. I have a tech coming today to fix this fire hazard. I was told there was nothing that can be done as it was not under warranty anyway. What so your certified tech was going to come out for free and then charge me what I probably paid for the range to fix it.

Unreliable! When you push start, it goes into sensing mode and starts to fill. You walk away thinking it will run to find out an hour later it is still in sensing mode! Wasting electricity, your time and talk about stress! You have a 50-50 chance it will go on and run the load, but if you dont have time to stand there and watch it. FORGET THIS WASHER. Also does not clean as the old agitator washer, which I luckily still have, yeah. Always read reviews before buying anything. Nice website.

Have owned washer and dryer for one year. Liked the styling, basic functions and the manufacturers reputation. Also liked the fact that there was a rebate on the pair. We bought the entry level Maytag pair from Lowes. Lowes delivered the units quickly. Thats the good news. The BAD news is (they) dont tell you when you buy the unit that you have to buy and use special detergents. One of the cycles on the dryer stopped working within ten weeks. But the REAL thing we hate about these is the fact that they are built out of PAPER-THIN METAL. If you push on it hard with one finger you will have a permanent dent. They proudly display American flag stickers on the units proclaiming Made In the USA. They should be more concerned about the quality of their construction. A local appliance salesman told us that twenty years ago (these) appliances would commonly last fifteen to twenty years. Today you are lucky to get five or six years (But then they get to sell you another, and another, and another).

Same as the rest of complaints. Dryer needed a new motor 3 months after purchase. Crazy. Door magnet replaced at 5 months. Lint screen replaced. Washer electrical board replaced at 8 months. Cloths come out wrinkled, tore up with holes and I have like bleach spots on clothes that I didn’t use bleach with. Now the washer is screeching and coming UL. My husband thinks its the bearings and tub seal. Called Sears and parts alone are 185.00 not counting labor. Of course its out of warranty now. Seen comments about a class action lawsuit. I really think this product deserves one. Why should we as consumers have our hard earned money wasted on a product that doesnt meet our standards for a quality washing machine that we thought we were buying. Whos in.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer in September 2010 which is less than two years ago. It decides to stop spinning correctly in the Spin cycles. Clothes come out sopping wet so I contacted Maytag to have a tech come out. On the day that the tech came out from A&E Factory Service, he stated it was a switch. He changed the switch and still, it did not spin correctly. He then proceeds to state that it is another part, which again, it did not do the function correctly. He then proceeded to state that it is the clutch, then the transmission. The cost was raising to $519.00.I stated that I did not want to proceed because I would be purchasing a new washer with that quote. I stated to place all the original parts back onto the washer. He did so, but did not place them on correctly. The casing of the washer no longer is secured to the drum - bolts and plastic pieces are still on the side. He left my house with finger prints of grease on the walls. If this is the workmanship that Maytag recommends, then my business deserves to go elsewhere.A complaint was filed with the A&E Factory Service. However, no one has contacted me about the complaint as was requested. All I want is for my washer to be fixed or to have a tech who is knowledgeable to come out and fix it. I contacted Maytag to inform then of the situation and they stated that all their techs are certified. I do not believe that my washer of less than two years old could possibly have so many parts that are faulty. I hope that this may, in turn, help another consumer to avoid purchasing washers through Maytag and their parent company, Whirlpool.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos 5 months ago. I had trouble at first with unbalanced loads. The repair man came to look at it twice. One thing that can unbalance your loads is if small pieces of laundry such as a sock gets outside the basket. Sometimes the basket has to be taken all the way out because small pieces can be lodged under the basket. This happens when you fill the machine too full and those small pieces float to the top.The suspension on my machine ended up needing to be replaced. I have read lots of reviews about soap rings in the clothes. That happens from using too much soap. Make sure you are using HE detergent for one. I cut way back on my soap and my laundry gets clean and no problems with residual soap on my clothes. I was very unhappy with my machine at first but now I absolutely love it!

Perfect for me. It would be better if I had a space to put it without adjacent walls. Mine sits with the refrigerator door against a wall and I have to pull it out to the door space to open it wide enough to pull out the drawers to take them out for cleaning. Otherwise, it has worked very well for me by myself, for me and my husband when he was alive and for my son and his family and myself, and he has 5 children.

This is probably the worst place ever to buy any appliances. They are extremely unreliable and the technology on them sucks. If you wanna buy new appliances I highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere. The customer service is extremely horrible and is a disgrace. Shame on this company. They lie about when they will repair your stuff too, so dishonest and I hate this company.

We bought the Bravo XL set 11 months ago and the washer leaks all over the place.. Called Maytag and had the repairman show up. Upon arrival he told us these were the worst machines to buy and would never recommend to anyone. He also said that business has been great due to all of this.. He checked the washer and said the water pressure was too high and lowered it. He couldnt find anything wrong with it. After he left I started a load and sure enough it was the same. Called him right back and he said to call Maytag because he was going to another repair job. I called Maytag again and they said to call the repair guy.. Never again will we ever buy Maytag.

I purchased a Bravos washing machine 3 years, 9 months ago. It has stopped working, bad bearings. How can a major appliance fail after three years for bad bearings unless the bearing were bad to begin with??? The repair man knew by the sound the problem was bad bearings. The washing machine sounded the same as it always had, which means the bearing were bad from the start. My first washing machine, a Kenmore, lasted 21 years and a few months. How can you produce such a terrible product and expect I as a consumer would buy another Maytag product or recommend a Maytag product? Not to mention what will now enter a landfill someplace, terrible!

They are coming for the 7th time to fix the ice maker. Three full replacements. The bottom of the freezer had a buildup of ice, another call to repair. I know where the Maytag repairman is, hes at my house.

Maytag Model #MGR7662 range - We inherited this oven when we bought my mother-in-laws house 2 years ago. We had to get a thermometer to keep in the oven since the temperature is never consistent and is usually 50-100 degrees lower than the digital readout. We will be replacing this oven as soon as we can and it will NOT be a Maytag.

Bravos quiet series 300 - After reading reviews on this washer and dryer I have to add my thoughts. I bought this set a few years ago and initially was very pleased. However, I am now having the same issues as everyone else. The bearing on my washer is bad and needs replacing to the cost of almost a new washer. My dryer started acting up at the same time, my clothes would not dry at all and I discovered the inside of the door was wet and after pulling out to check the wall vent, the vent had water puddled up inside the wall. The tubing from the dryer to the wall had mildew growing in it. Which may explain why my towels and clothes come out of the dryer smelling like mildew! The repairman was here today and repaired the dryer, there was a large amount of lint at the bottom of the dryer once he opened it up, which I believe could be a fire hazard. The seal (or felt seal) around the drum was coming off and had to glued back onto the drum. The belt under the dryer had come undone causing the dryer to not dry, but would spin. It is a shame that Maytag has not resolved the issues that everyone seems to be having, even if it has been years since we all purchased their product. Maytag is supposed to be a reliable product name and you would think they would like to fix this issue to keep their name clean! My first washer and dryer (which were Maytag) lasted more than 12 years and cost a lot less than this set which I dont think is more than 5 years old! I hate to spend more money on a new machine, but I may have no choice. Very sad customer right now.

I bought a Maytag Washer Bravos XL approximately 13 months ago. To be exact, July 16th, 2016 through Home Depot. Model #MVW8775DW. Since I bought, the washer shakes, and doesnt complete the cycle as it gets stuck on the spin cycle. I have called Maytag and they have sent out a technician... They have told me that there is nothing they can do. I told Maytag that their product was a lemon and this should not happen... And to please it with one that is not defective. Since then, the cycle does complete, but the clothes are soaking wet and I have to run the cycle again, just on the spin cycle.

I had to replace a washer & dryer which was destroyed in a fire. We lost everything. I was hoping a new set would last me many years. Boy, I was wrong. Maytag Bravo washer is the worst by far. I havent even had it 4 years. I had a plumber in 4 times already. The pump keeps breaking; it doesnt drain properly. It appears that dirt is entering the clean laundry and the laundry has to be washed again. It looks like I have to research for a new washer. It wont be a Maytag. They are thieves!

We have a Maytag drying center that is almost 6 years old. It never did a good job drying especially for the money we paid, but it just quit on us two weeks ago. We purchased it from TA Appliances in Barrie, Ontario who recommended that we call B&K Appliance repair to fix it. The owner showed up and said he would be back to us in a few days to fix it, as soon as part arrives. He now wont return calls and it has been two weeks, so we called Maytag customer service. We knew we were in trouble when we received a message telling us Due to higher than normal call volume... (so much for the Maytags that never need repair). Anyway, we finally reached an incompetent, ignorant and anti-customer service representative who proceeded to tell us in an extremely, nasally drawl that the part needed to fix our 6 years old dryer is no longer available and the most they could offer as compensation for this on our $1500 plus tax dryer that should last at least 10 years is $120. This is for a dryer we never used more than 5 times a week.

Control panel broken for a second time in 23 months: I purchased a Maytag dishwasher less than 2 years ago at Home Depot. 11 months later, the control panel went out. Specifically, the start/cancel buttons stopped working. A service tech called me under warranty; the control panel was shipped to me, and the tech fixed it. He also told me that they had had numerous problems with the control panels.13 months later, the control panel went out; specifically, the start/cancel buttons stopped working (sounds familiar). I can get nothing from Maytag, except a demand for service fees or sales pitches for extended warranties (at a price that was half of what the dishwasher cost new). They also offered me the free part as long as I pay the service call fees. I told them to just to ship me the part and that Id do it myself. Nope. I must pay the repairman. Now, theyll ship me the part if I pay for it, but they wont ship me the free part. It only comes with a service call.Maytag also told me that there were no reports of problems with the start/cancel button, an obvious lie with a quick internet search. The customer service rep sounded like she knew I was getting treated badly and kept using the word policy. Her supervisor was much more cocky and made sure I knew that I wasnt getting anything from her company.They make horrible products, attach what once was a good name, provide zero customer service, and lie to your customers. Great business practices. I will never purchase a Maytag product again.

I bought a Maytag washer and dryer in Cookeville TN. In 2018. After a year it quit. The service man from the authorized dealer in Cookeville could not repair it. After numerous calls Maytag sent a service man to repair it, this took about three weeks. This washer is a Maytag industrial, it has a 5 year parts and labor warranty, and 10 years on the motors. Now it is out again, after calling Maytag, and holding on the line for an hour, finally I had to chat with someone, and they set up an appointment for about 3 days. So service company call now and says it will be another week before they can sent someone to look at it, and another week to get the parts. They also questioned my warranty. I gave high dollar for this washer, what’s happened to Maytag?

The worst wash machine Ive ever used. It doesnt clean clothes well. It constantly had error codes. Im constantly having to unplug and reset the machine and 4 times out of five it will NOT restart. Not to mention it stinks worse than my sewer. I have to run the refresh cycle every four to eight loads. Ive owned this machine three years. And it has been three years too long. I will go back to a ringer washer or a wash board and have better results.

Same problems as everyone else. Water not soaking the clothes, questionable load capacity, shaky (we have engineers in the house so there is no way they did not look for floor evenness as the stores/Maytag will tell you that you may not have done, complete bs) etc. Its absolutely horrible that were all now stuck with such a terrible machine. I really wish I had read these reviews before (I googled the machine earlier but got generic stuff and didnt stumble upon these reviews until much later). Maytag should take responsibility on this as retail stores do not take back appliances unless they are defective. The Bravos is definitely a defective product from the get-go though.

This dishwasher constantly has an odor. I run the dishwasher every third day (there are only two of us), and no matter how well the dishes are rinsed off, there is an unpleasant smell whenever the door is opened. Even after running the washer, upon opening the door an unpleasant scent still lingers. I compare this washer to the Kenmore I left in my previous home and this brand new one falls short. I would not purchase this dishwasher again. But because this is only a year old, I guess I am stuck with it for a while.

We purchased a refrigerator in December 2010 with a 12-month warranty. Since the refrigerator was delivered, we have experienced nothing but problems. Most recently, there was a problem with the auto defrost causing us to lose all our food stored. It also caused water damage to our floor. We scheduled maintenance with a contracted company through MayTag. After three scheduled visits, which made me miss 3 and a half days of work resulting in an additional loss of over $300, our refrigerator is still broken and they just want us to schedule another maintenance visit. When calling Maytag customer service we are literally told, “your loss, there is nothing we can do to resolve your issue, we can only continue to send out maintenance.” I am so disappointed in this company, the product, the customer service, maintenance service etc.

Bought a Maytag Model #MDB8949SAMO dishwasher. After LESS THAN 2 years the motherboard stopped working. Called Maytag to complain, but was told they couldnt do anything. I would give the dishwasher less than a star but the rating system wont allow it.
