I bought a new top loader Maytag washer and dryer on 1/1/16. My first experience with the washer was as many in has stated - It Doesnt Clean, the clothes, also I have trouble with the fact that is there is a string loose, it become worst. Why did they improve a product that did not need improving. They just made it worst. It is totally **. Im stuck with it as I cannot afford another washer. The dryer work fine.

Maytag Appliances - biggest rip off ever! Home Depot needs to stop carrying Maytag appliances. I purchased a Maytag washer Type 832-A, Model number MHWE200XW00, Serial number HL11990545 in May, 2011 from Home Depot. After just three years it flooded my laundry room. Home Depot couldnt help me, and Maytag Customer Service tried to really rip me off.I called Home Depot, asked why they continued to carry a product they knew had terrible complaints and all they could tell me was they are sorry I am unhappy with my washer, then gave me Maytags customer service number. I called Maytag - first the guy tried to sell me a $400 extended warranty package - total rip off. Maytag should be ashamed, then said he couldnt help because it was past the time period. There is no telling how many people they are ripping off with that little deal. Consumer Affairs should be all over this. So then he offered to get a Maytag repairman to come to my house, but couldnt tell me how much the diagnostic visit would cost or anything else. He was worthless.I hired a local repair person to come to my home, the part is $140, its the tub seal, weak and flimsy - has a giant hole. I only wash clothes and towels, nothing else. My local guy is cutting me a deal on the labor, still going to be $200. Maytag isnt what they used to be and I will never, ever purchase another product from them again, ever. And I would suggest you dont either. Maytag appliances only last a couple years at the most, and its customer service is horrid.

Bought a Maytag HD top load washing 11/4/17. Within the first month the machine began to make a loud squealing noise during the wash cycle. A repairman came out 2 times before finally replacing the gearbox and tub. Within the last month or so the problem began again, another repairman came out twice, and once again, had to replace the gearbox and tub. When he left I ran a load and the machine sounded like a war was occurring inside of it. Very loud banging and grinding... heck I was wishing for just the squealing back! Maytag refuses to replace the machine and just keeps sending out repair people. The Maytag name once stood for quality but that was long ago.

My Maytag french door has worked steadily for 12 + years. It’s a basic model, ice maker in freezer. No door dispensers or electronics. I would buy it again.

I have been struggling with this machine for the last year. Just does not wash. I have tried power wash. Bulky sheets. Double rinse and nothing works. I bought this machine last year from Lowes and its my worst investment. When the load is finished the clothes are still dirty. Actually worst than when they went in. We were replacing a 4 year old Whirlpool Duet washer (bought on recommendation from sister-in-law) that needed the third repair and was putting holes in our clothes. We had purchased the warranty (which we had never done before) so Lowes gave us the choice of machines and we decided to go with the Maytag Bravos. Lo and behold, were still getting holes in clothes. Several repairman told us the issue is common and is caused by the force of the water flowing into the machines plus the rapid spin cycle which pushes the clothes through the punched holes in the tub and the clothes catch on the metal on opposite side of the tub. Turns out sister-in-law had the same problem with her Duet and (not knowing I bought the Bravos and had the same issues) bought the Bravos and also is still getting holes. So I know its not just me.We also have problem with the machine not putting in enough water so clothes do not come out clean. In fact, a lot of stuff comes out with areas that havent even gotten wet during the wash cycle. I just want an old fashioned machine with an agitator that fills the machine fully, washes my clothes and doesnt put holes in them.

We purchased this Maytag top load washer less than three years ago. Spin cycle stopped working and repair for new actuator motor is $240 (machine cost $500). I should have read Maytag’s reviews before we bought it (averaging about 2/5). Living on name - don’t buy one.

I wish I had found this website before I bought my new Maytag washer and dryer from Home Depot on March 7, 2018. I replaced a 30 year old Maytag washer that I should have kept. I wash two loads a week so has not been used that much and now it will not drain. I tried everything, canceled the cycle out, checked the circuit breaker, unplugged it, removed the clothing, bucketed out the excess water, tried the drain and spin cycle, etc. Just will not drain or spin. Repairman is coming next week... Still under first year warranty but if it is not the “fault” of Maytag I was told there will be a $90+ minimum service charge.

After 16 months my Maytag dishwasher control panel went bad. The company told me they could not help me. I asked for a new control panel to install myself, no luck. I bit the bullet and bought one online for 110 dollars. 2 months later... you guessed it, its bad. Now I have to send it back under warranty. It was a Maytag name brand OEM part. I thought Maytag was a reliable name, I thought wrong. Never again.

I purchased this Range about a month ago and would return it to the store if it wasnt such a hassle. The set of grates that came with had 1/4 drop from the center to front of stove. Whirlpool sent a new set; they were no better. Then customer service wanted to send a Tech out to see if the grates were out of spec. If they are out of spec they will replace. If not I will be charged $89 for a service call. Whirlpool customer service assured me their service rep would have new grates on his truck. So I drove to their service provider, he laughed and said imagine they want me to send a service Tech out to look at cooking grates and NO they don’t stock them. If you want a cooking surface that is level and does not SCRATCH BOTTOMS all your cookware. The convection oven is also a joke. In order to bake something in the specified recipe time, I have to set bake temp 25 degrees higher to compensate for convection ovens automatic temp set back feature. When I turn on LF burner flames engulf 10” pan, a truly fire hazard. I have a Maytag dishwasher and dryer, love them both. Maytag should stick with dishwashers and laundry. I never have been more dissatisfied with a major appliance. I would NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT.

Maytag washer mvwc565fw: You have heard about how noisy they are & dont fill up enough water unless you set it on deep water wash. I cant get the right water temp. Its cold, cold warm. No hot at all. Sorry I ever bought the piece of junk. Only have had it a month too. The last washer I had it at least lasted 4 years. Wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy.

Please read Michael of Davenports review. I read it and word for word this is my experience. This washer is the worst Ive ever had. If I could get back my old 20 year old machine, I would trade it in. Dont buy, youll hate it.

We purchased a bottom freezer refrigerator from the Home Depot in 2013 and I am sorry to say this refrigerator does not deserve any stars. Immediately after the warranty was up our refrigerator started leaking all over the floor. The drain clogged and freezes up on the bottom under the freezer. When it becomes full, it leaks all over my hardwood floor. I have now become a slave to this refrigerator. Each week I have to open the freezer and get down on my hands and knees to break up the ice, scoop it out, toss it in the sink. I have spread the word and I hope anyone who reads this does as well. Never buy a Maytag product because not only do they make defective products, they wont own up to it and recall it.

less than 2 yrs old and has completely failed to operate. We have been patient with this model. It does roll the clothes to point they are wrapped around and among each other and must be pulled apart before placing in dryer. The wash cycle now takes more than 45 minutes, It fails to spin the load often. Now, it has failed to the point it will not operate with or without any clothes in it.

I, too, am having major problems with my Maytag Neptune washer, much like many of the writers are. I am extremely disappointed in the Maytag corporation for putting out such an inferior product that it wont stand by. I wonder if a new class action suit could be filed.

Dryer doesn’t wash all the clothes and the dryer doesn’t dry anything correctly. All, regardless of materials or size of load, comes out damp. Repairman’s excuse was that it’s a learning curve(?) and our dryer vent was the cause (which it wasn’t as we had it checked out and there was nothing in it) and that was it. Very disappointed in the washer and dryer and now the company where we bought them as it seems that we’re stuck with over $2K worth of equipment that doesn’t wash or dry well. We’re awaiting to speak with manager for a replacement of anything not Maytag. Not holding our breath and definitely not a happy customer.

It has never failed me and I cant remember when we purchased it. When I grew up, my Mother only used Maytag Washer and Dryer. When I married (almost 50 years ago), I purchased a Maytag Washer and Dryer and have never regretted it.

I purchased a matching set Maytag washer & dryer June 2013. Sept 2013 the drum went out - 4 weeks for that repair. March 2014 the electric panel went out. Took about 10 phone calls with hold waits of 30 to 70 minutes and 4 months, to find out the replacement part is no longer available and the washer is discontinued. To get a new matching set, I had to pay for a new dryer and they will give me a free washer. I have to give both washer and dryer back - I paid for 2 dryers. 6 month later and more phone calls, no washer and no one will return my calls. The dryer I paid for is at the appliance store waiting on the new washer. We consumers have nowhere to go. I have heard so many similar situations. Where are we to go? Who are we to call?

We got our Maytag fridge approx.18 months ago. There was no trouble the first year and there has been nothing but trouble for the last five months. The freezer started frosting one day which causes temp to get in danger zone - we defrost it with a hair dryer about every week and it has continued to frost up ever since. We have a friend that works for a certified Maytag repair business. He came to our rescue five times and called Maytag hot line for help.Together, they could only suggest that the gasket be replaced. He could not see anything wrong with it but we changed it just in case. Still, the problem continues. When we called Maytag customer service (877-556-57420), we were told that no one has had the problem before us. We just looked online; there are 521 complaints about Maytag. My question now is, how do we get a class action lawsuit going?

The refrigerator works well. No problems. Easy to move to clean behind it. Good value. I havent had any problems since I bought it. Keeps a steady temp; Its exactly the size I needed; has plenty of space. Its a plain fridge with a reasonable price!

My refrigerator is a lemon! We bought a Maytag bottom freezer French door refrigerator model #MFD2561HEW in May of 2007. Less than a year later, it stopped working and ruined all the food inside. I cant remember the problem that time, but it was fixed by Maytag and we were reimbursed for a portion of the food we lost. Two years later, the temperature got warm in the refrigerator and freezer sections, and we were gone for a couple of days, so when we got home, all of our food was spoiled. This time we had an extended warranty in effect and they replaced a circuit board, but we were out the food. A few months later, the same thing happened. This time we were home and saved most of the food. The compressor was replaced, again under warranty, but it took 2 weeks to get the part. Now, less than a year later, the freezer and refrigerator compartments are getting too warm and frost is forming in the back of the freezer. When it finally does get cool, it freezes the food in the refrigerator section. It also makes loud bumping sounds. I paid $80 to a repairman today to tell me that theres nothing wrong with it, thats just the way it runs! He suggested I put a gallon of milk jugs filled with water in the freezer to hold the temperature when it starts to rise! This piece of junk is just 5 years old! When I complained, I was told to call Maytag and discuss it with them. This refrigerator was not cheap and I see that many others have had similar problems. How do they get away with selling an inferior product?

Have had problems with the set since day one. Bought brand new from Home Depot. Got a great deal and now know why. Never cleaned the clothes properly, water marks on so many items, musty smelling regardless of how many times we cleaned it, horrible at removing stains, and finally not even 5 yo the motor stopped worked. The dryer has been repaired too and hasnt ever done a stellar job. Will never buy another Maytag product again!

I purchased a Maytag refrigerator in November 2016. It is now the first week of June 2017 and the ice dispenser no longer works and the door alarm goes off incessantly and intermittently all day and all night. I am so sick of being woken up by the alarm in the middle of the night. I reread the manual and ran through the limited troubleshooting to no avail. I called customer service, sat on hold for a half hour, and scheduled a service call. As an interim stopgap for the pull-my-hair-out alarm issue, the operator suggested I disconnect some wires, as there is no off button for the door alarm. I wasnt dumb enough to do that and void my warranty. Best part of the call was when the operator offered to sell me an extended warranty. Well see how the service appointment goes, but I have a feeling this is the last Maytag product I will ever get. I am very curious about the lack of product recall as my research unveiled hundreds of complaints about the exact same issues I am having. Why does it seem to take a class action lawsuit before a company fulfills the promises in their advertising? Model number: MFI2570FEZ01 Purchased from Home Depot in Nov 2016 for $1,230.

The washer is so loud it can be heard all over my home (my home is 2700 sq.). It sounds like metal to metal grinding. I was told thats how the run and the first bit of water isnt enough to even wet the clothes. Id never buy another one (even though this is my 3rd Maytag washer. Im 78 yrs.old).

The washer doesn’t have enough water to to get clothes clean. Even on deep water wash there’s is not enough water. It doesn’t get clothes clean, its very noisy. It takes a long time to was, even on short cycles. You can’t soak dirty clothes, it has a cycle for soak but it is not long enough. After about 3 months the lid licking doesn’t work and the progress lights remain on and never go off. This is the worst washer that I have ever owned. I just want to return it and get a different one!

I bought this washer 2 years ago, it has always been noisy and not cleaned or rinsed my clothes very well. With dark clothes, I have to rinse them twice if not three times. Now it has quit throwing out the water all together and is not rinsing the clothes at all. Paid $72 for a repair man to hook it up to his computer and tell me there was nothing wrong with it. Told me it was how I was loading it. I dont think so. Now I have to replace a two-year old machine. I will buy a basic machine that only washes my clothes this time. Nothing is made to last these days.

Havent even used the range yet and the paint is peeling off of the top. I have had the repair guy out. The new top piece of the range arrived with peeling paint also. I put in a claim to have the range replaced and was told they would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. That never happened and so I called again. They said that they would call and, of course, it didnt happen. I paid $1,300 for a stove that looks horrible with the paint is peeling off of it. What kind of ** is Sears selling? Maytag is owned by Whirlpool and nobody wants to make this right.

This machine is awful and a waste of money. Don’t trust the reviews with “workarounds.” That’s crazy! Doing laundry is difficult enough in my house so I need to add extra work? And they don’t work anyway. Water is barely 1-2 inches deep. But the real issue is the clothes don’t come out clean. Of course, they smell clean because all the soap hasn’t rinsed out but they are not. I spilled coffee on a white tee. Dabbed it up with a wet napkin. Threw it in the laundry. Did whites and added extra bleach and extra water because I know how much this machine sucks. Not only are my clothes yellow but the coffee stain is still there. I can’t imagine how it will wash tough stains like blood and wine and grease. I cannot even believe they are allowed to rip people off with this product.

Maytag French door Bottom Mount Model # MFT2976AEW02 - Purchased this model refrigerator in late 2013. Had minor problems with ice maker for last 6 months, not have freezer problems, as the bottom freezer is not keeping food frozen. Called repairman today. He ran 64 checks on refrigerator, said to keep eye on problem and he will re check in 24 hours. Called private company, Maytag in Latrobe. They referred us to the Maytag repairman. We will keep you posted. We moved all of our frozen food to a downstairs older freezer for safekeeping. Keep checking, we will update.

The new Maytag commercial brand is different than the traditional Maytags. Uses less water. The new technology in the variety of choices for cycles and the steam cleaning for the dryer is a great feature.

This set of Maytag washer/dryer are nearly nineteen years old now and are still workhorses! They keep getting the job done time and time again! Absolutely no complaints. Absolutely and completely amazing!

We had a wonderful Bisque Maytag double oven in 2002. We bought new stainless appliances this year, and have been very disappointed with the range. Why do you have to hold the temp and timer settings one increment at a time to set it, and why do you have to push Start after that? Frequently we set the temp or timer and walk away, only to find that the oven or timer did not begin because we forgot the new step. When the timer goes off, you have to push it twice to get it to reset. The burners themselves have too many confusing pictures for the settings. What happened to low heat, medium and high and hash marks in between? The stove top itself is a nightmare to keep clean. Give me back my coil stove any day!!!

My Bravos 300 series is 3yrs. Initially it occasionally shredded an item. With 4 kids I chalked it up to wear & tear on the clothes. Its now ruining items almost every wash. I now wash much by hand. Cant wait to afford a new one.

Bought the xl about 14 months ago. NO LIE! Exactly 2 days after the 1-year warranty was up, the xl went down. Drive shaft and bearings. Did Maytag honor the warranty since it was only 48 hours past the expiration? Not just a no but a why are you bothering attitude. My brother and I are above average machine builders. Well fix it ourselves because we could buy a new one to have it repaired. After many hours scouring the web we found the parts. Maytag didnt make a repair kit available to the public. 7 hours plus over $200 to tear it down and to clean the muck trapped at the drain. Then sand-smooth the burnt on metal where the bearings sit. All for a washing machine that sucks at washing clothes in the first place. Never ever again will I buy a Maytag.

Dishwasher cleans well but the top rack is poorly designed for taller glassware. Unit has the typical features - wash, sanitize, rinse only, high temp wash, heated dry, light, normal or heavy wash, and delay start up to 6 hours. Standard dishwasher face; nothing fancy, no dirt catching features, very satisfactory. Electronic features (start, stop, etc.) broke after very little use. This is my second Maytag and a repeat of the first. Will NOT purchase this brand again!

I purchased a Maytag gas dryer in November 2011. This is January 2012. I have got to use mine maybe 2 weeks altogether since I had it. It is to be repaired for the 4th time tomorrow. In the meantime, I have to go to the laundry mat to dry clothes, Maytag refuses to do anything about this. They say they are helping me by getting it repaired each time it breaks down. I want a new dryer. The retailer I bought it from will not stand behind this product either. You see these commercials on TV where the Maytag guy is sitting back and waiting on a call. Thats a bunch of ***! I have never purchased a product from anyone that they would not stand behind it especially for the 4th time in two months. I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell everyone that I know not to buy one either.

When my husband surprised me with a double oven stove I was leery. First Thanksgiving my thoughts were concurred as the 20lb turkey fell from the chinsey rack.....even a cookie tray with almonds fell down.... Unfortunately the lower oven is off by 1/2, no racks work in there. My biggest gripe is that the seller did not exchange it, just tried more racks. Now Maytag will not do anything but allow me to order more racks. This item is a huge piece of junk.

If you are considering this product...RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! This is the biggest piece of junk Ive ever owned!! I would be more than happy to take back my 20+ year old washer over this JUNK!! I am extremely unhappy. This is a terrible washer (Maytag washer MVWC565FW). I am so sorry I didnt buy a GE. Terrible loud noises, shakes and vibrates like a plane taking off. Funny smells as if something is burning. Repairman came 1 week after purchased and stated nothing was wrong. A huge waste of money, I HATE, HATE this horrible machine!!! Totally unsatisfied, I would never purchase anything with the Maytag name again!! Wish I could get my money back!

Maytag is the worst dryer ever purchased. We bought it in 2019 and the heating element broke. When I contacted Maytag directly, they said, nothing they could do. Really?? A major part was defected and there was nothing they could do! Its very sad when a major company that you purchased from shuts you down with a defected piece in their dryer and they chose not to help out the consumer. Shameful! I will NEVER purchase another product from them again...

This washer is the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. From day 1 it never cleaned my clothing. It was too much money to call a repairman so I have lived with it since October 13, 2013 and I have finally been able to buy a new washer this week. My husband would come home from work and ask me why I put dirty clothing in his drawers, he said his clothes stunk and were stained. This washer just did not clean the clothing. It didnt use water. I cannot say how many times I would open it after washing a load and the clothes were dry. It saved water alright, it didnt use any and it was installed properly. If you are going to purchase a Maytag Centennial, run. Dont walk. Run, fly, look the other way, just dont buy this HUNK OF JUNK! I cant even sell it, so we will sell it on eBay for parts just to recoup some of our hard earned money! MAYTAG YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF!

We have already replaced the motherboard and now it is throwing a code of and it takes a whole day to keep pressing start to get one load down. I hate these machines and tell everyone NOT to buy one. They are expensive to buy and too much trouble to fix or repair and too much money to fix. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Replaced my leaking Samsung washer with a Maytag and I really regret the switch. What a piece of garbage. It has been service twice (thankfully within the first warranty year) due to Main control board failure. Seriously, these washers are good for nothing. Also, the Sanitize cycle doesnt do a good job from day one. Save your hard earned money and buy something else.

Have had it for 2 years now and its leaked out the bottom since it was 6 mos. old. Now the ice maker has fried a motor and were having to repair it already. Cant believe we spent a small fortune on this fridge and are having constant problems with it.

My Maytag washer is only three years old and the control panel completely went. Not only did it cost me the service call, they want $360 to replace the control panel. I called Maytag/Whirlpool to see if they would help with the cost of the part. I am 60 years old and the only one who uses the washing machine. It is not beat up. Maytag would not offer any solution at all and refused to even pay for any part of the control panel. They said it was really my tough luck for not having bought the extended warranty. When you spend so much for an appliance, you do not expect it to only last three years and you should not need an extended warranty. I am so disappointed and I will never buy a Maytag or anything from its parent company Whirlpool.

Never dies, never have had to have it serviced. House burned down is reason why it died. So I rebuilt, bought another one, then moved took it with me, then left it with my daughter and moved to Mexico. The dryer is still working to date and this all happened over 10 years ago. I sooo want another one. Best brand period. I only buy Maytag as they last. Unfortunately I do not have one now as they were unavailable in this country so bought something different. I was told the machine I have currently was as good as a maytag - they lied. I recently found out they have them now, so when I can afford one again, I will purchase one.

The water got so bad it damaged my cabinets. I called Maytag, they admitted my model was sent out with no drain hose so this entire time my $2000 refrigerator had a missing part that they are very aware of. The part was free but I had to pay for the service. Its still leaking on the floor because the drip pan got fried from having no water in it to evaporate so it melted my drip pan, now it needs more service that I have to pay for. I have no faith that this will fix it. I will never buy Maytag again it feels like cheap plastic. I would love to start a claim against them for taking our money knowing the refrigerator has missing parts. Now Im part of the towel on the floor club group.

Maytag microwave MMV4205BAB - I purchased this microwave in 2007. By 2009, the whole inside was peeling down to the metal. Under the glass plate, the bottom is all rusted. Ive called customer service every year since 2009 and they say the same thing. No extended warranty, nothing they can do. They acknowledged that this was not normal, but they did nothing! Do not buy anything from Maytag. If you do, buy all of the expensive warranties or you will be sorry like I am.

Bought this because it’s American made. It seems to be very glitchy. If you don’t use the detergent drawer it always flashes low detergent. The quick wash leaves soap on clothes. It acts up and leaves clothes too wet. No buzzer to tell you when it’s done. Have to hold button for 3 seconds to start. You can’t just hit button and walk away. Then wait for it to sense the load first to make sure it starts. Very expensive model.

Our range and oven are reliable and durable. Easy to clean and have lasted a long time. I do not regret spending a little extra money to have an appliance that has lasted a long time. The oven heats up at a standard rate. The self clean function is very thorough. I have a white set. I was worried they would stain with your typical spills that come along with cooking. However, They clean very easily.

Maytag Front load washer mah8700aww - This washer has been the biggest boat anchor of a machine. Nothing but trouble and bad parts. New motor after 18 months, water level sensor at 2 years, main control board twice now at 2 years and 4 years, and now it is showing signs of needing yet another main board. E3 trouble code plagues our home and basement. This machine has been leveled and re-leveled numerous times and still shakes like crazy... I mix my paint cans by setting them on the top... the best use for this machine. Yes it sits on a concrete floor. So not satisfied and will not ever buy another Maytag anything. There should be a negative star rating. It does not deserve even 1 star after being taken advantage of like we and thousands of others have been.

It was alright for a while. Then it started ripping up my clothes. The machine is not overloaded, enough water has been added but, when I take the clothes out they are torn. Not a good experience. I have seen several reviews on the Centennials, none of them good. What is the problem. I am hoping my experience gets resolved.

I almost didnt write this review because it is just a repetitive representation of this machine. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED with this machine! I had a Neptune and after a few years, it started to spew oil onto the laundry WHILE it was washing! It ruined so much clothing before I figured out what was happening. Came to find out, it was a glitch with the machine that the company SUPPOSEDLY, sent out notices about but I never received. Now the Bravos X... Bought to replace the Neptune, as it was advertised to replace Front loaders. Would accommodate a KING SIZE COMFORTER with no problem... Got out of one problem to get into another!!!From the beginning, I wondered how does this machine get the clothes clean? How would it was a king size comforter? It doesnt agitate like the other top loaders. I figured it was a new top of the line kind of technology. My clothes started to tangle up really bad even though I was not filling the machine over excessively. The clothes were staying dripping wet over and over again. It doesnt matter how much clothing is being washed, they stay super wet. I have to go through the Drain & Spin cycle to finish the cycle. IT GETS OLD!!!! I HATE THIS MACHINE!!!! Doing laundry is a HORRIFIC CHORE for me. This machine is TERRIBLE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANNOT WASH ANY SIZE COMFORTER!!!After reading all these reviews, seeing how Im NOT the only one who is going through all these problems with this machine, I refuse to call any repair company! I wont spend another penny on this monster!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER MAYTAG ANYTHING AGAIN!!! Reason for this review... So anyone who is considering buying a Bravos X washer, think again. Hopefully you are doing your homework and will not make the same mistake we did!!!! Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

After 18 months of use Our Maytag Dishwasher (MDB7749) has the same control panel problem as a lot of other user complaints. I wish I too had read the consumer reviews before my purchase. We will never buy another Whirlpool product!!

My stainless steel french door refrigerator started to rust 4-5 months after purchase. Upon contacting Maytag/Whirlpool I was advised that this is cosmetic and the cosmetic portion of my warranty is expired. I think this is a poor grade of stainless steel and should be recalled and/or replaced. I would not recommend.

Dont buy a washer from Maytag, they put it together wrong and the transmission leaks so it will stop spinning after time and then it fries the motherboard. Too expensive to fix so you have to by a new one.. Their 10 year warranty is a joke and doesnt cover anything hasnt even been 5 years yet. Garbage products.

DO NOT BUY MAYTAG REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Maytag refrigerator 3 years ago, now it started to leak water on the floor. Repairman said this happens after about 3 years to all Maytag refrigerators because the water hose is too small and gets plugged which causes water to flow into bottom of freezer; 2 inches of ice on bottom of freezer. Now we have to remove everything from freezer and refrigerator, unplug for 2 days to melt ice so we lose all of our food in freezer and refrigerator.

I am PISSED off at Maytag products in general. First I buy a washer and dryer from a Maytag store-buy a 12 year warranty. Call in for repairs - Maytag and A & E say I have no coverage. Now I am getting bills to pay for coverage on both because the form says my coverage ends this December 2011. I buy a Maytag dishwasher and its the one that catches fire. I get the rebate of 250 for buying the more expensive one - but am still out 500 dollars. Installation was bad by contractors from Lowes - just called that in to have it reinstalled. AND THE MOST RECENT IS THE FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR I BOUGHT 9/4/2010. IT STARTED ACTING UP AROUND CHRISTMAS TIME - WEIRD NOISES, WOULDNT MAKE ICE - I AM SO BUSY WITH MY MOM I DONT CALL IT IN UNTIL JUN 25TH AND THE REPAIR PERSON SAYS IT IS UNREPAIRABLE AND HAS INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE WIRES.

Purchased this Maytag dishwasher (Model DB7749SBM2) from a Sears 2014, no problems until now in late June 2014. The control panel is not responding. Start/Resume light is off, pressing it doesnt seem to do anything. Cancel light is off, pressing it does trigger the cancel drain process. Wash Cycle choices either dont respond, or for 2 of the choices engage an incorrect cycle. Option choices dont respond. Delay light comes on when an incorrect cycle choice displays but stays at 2 hours, cannot be toggled off or to a different delay length. Holding Control Lock or Delay for 3 seconds doesnt seem to clear the circuit board logic. Problem began with the Cycle choice buttons defaulting to Rinse Only. Control panel behaves not at all or incorrectly as described above. Seems to be a common Maytag control board/panel problem. We need help as we are unable to afford repair or another dishwasher. This time, it will not run at all. I called customer service today (August 11, 2015) and they expect me to pay for the repair. Repairman already said electronic board bad at a cost of around $300 just for the parts. It is easy to Google and find multiple review sites that indicate hundreds of consumers have similar problems, but Maytag will not acknowledge any issue. Based on the pattern the warranty is not going to help as it goes out just after a year. For only having it 1 1/2 years it is becoming very expensive. There should be a recall on this control panel.

I purchased a stainless steel (freezer bottom) Maytag refrigerator Model # MFI2670XEM0 in Oct 2012. Since then its been a nightmare. The repairman has been out four times, once being a week after I purchased it. It leaked and ruined my kitchen floor. Call Maytag, they didnt want to hear about it. As of this moment, I have three more things broken on the unit. My ice maker literally takes 3 days to make ice, the alarm on the door is broken, and the plastic crisper cracked and now will not stay in. Called Maytag again and they stated that they will not replace the item with one of equal value. They just keep repairing it. I will NEVER EVER buy another Maytag product again. I spent $1700 on this product and had faith in the Maytag product. That will never happen again. Shame on Maytag for not standing behind their products.

Have a Bravo Quiet Series 300, does not clean clothes because on not enough water to wash with. Have to set it on Bulk to have it clean good enough. The way it agitate and rotate the clothes turns the wash into knotted pretzels (this also makes it harder to clean the clothes) which in turn makes the spin cycle vibrate badly. Cannot put wash in and leave because of this.

At 14 months old Main computer box failed, caused the machine to shut down on unbalanced load ($400). At 28 months old Main computer box failed, caused the machine to shut down on unbalanced load. In addition when the service guy was underneath the machine to change the module he noticed the stator housing to the motor was falling off. He said he never saw anything like it. After reading about all the problems people have with these machines I have talked friends and relatives out of making the same mistake of buying an old and trusted brand like Maytag. .

Washer Model MVWC555DWO. I dont like this machine. I thought Maytag is a good brand name, but I dont think so anymore. The engineers who designed these new machines with the water level saver dont do laundry. In order to get the cloth covered with water, I have to use the bulky sheet level. I have 2 jeans and a sheet that got holes in them, because the water level was not right. I would have my old machine repaired, if I have know how my new one would do. Im stuck with this machine. I dreaming that this machine breaks down soon and I can buy a new that has a better water level. My old one had water saver level too, but did a great job with the water level.

I purchased a beautiful Maytag dishwasher for $700+ and it died after a year of use. I called Maytag to complain and they dont care. Pay $350 for a tech to come fix its warranted for a year or fix it yourself. I fixed it myself for $180 and am hoping the very same key panel wont fail again. I know it will. I wrote to Maytag about the issue and have not gotten a response. Im hopeful that they will make this right or that they get sued and the consumers get their money back.

I purchased a Maytag Centennial Commercial Technology washer in September 2010 which is less than two years ago. It decides to stop spinning correctly in the Spin cycles. Clothes come out sopping wet so I contacted Maytag to have a tech come out. On the day that the tech came out from A&E Factory Service, he stated it was a switch. He changed the switch and still, it did not spin correctly. He then proceeds to state that it is another part, which again, it did not do the function correctly. He then proceeded to state that it is the clutch, then the transmission. The cost was raising to $519.00.I stated that I did not want to proceed because I would be purchasing a new washer with that quote. I stated to place all the original parts back onto the washer. He did so, but did not place them on correctly. The casing of the washer no longer is secured to the drum - bolts and plastic pieces are still on the side. He left my house with finger prints of grease on the walls. If this is the workmanship that Maytag recommends, then my business deserves to go elsewhere.A complaint was filed with the A&E Factory Service. However, no one has contacted me about the complaint as was requested. All I want is for my washer to be fixed or to have a tech who is knowledgeable to come out and fix it. I contacted Maytag to inform then of the situation and they stated that all their techs are certified. I do not believe that my washer of less than two years old could possibly have so many parts that are faulty. I hope that this may, in turn, help another consumer to avoid purchasing washers through Maytag and their parent company, Whirlpool.

Lets be real and say that people with good experiences dont often end up on websites writing reviews because they are busy enjoying their product! I purchased my set in early 2012 and will admit that initially there was a learning curve with using a washer with no agitator. I enjoy doing laundry and Im really good at it but with this washer I had to change my routine. Always pretreat stains. Deposit clothes loosely around the drum and shake clothes loose before putting them in the dryer. My clothes come out great! I have a child, two dogs and a greasy truck driver man and everyones clothes smell great. I can wash my king bedspread and anything else in my house with no issues. And my washer has never torn any of my clothing, however fragile. I dont iron often and I hand wash nothing.I give 4 stars instead of five for the extra steps to ensure my clothes are clean and wrinkle free. No they dont make things like they used to but thats with all the new stuff. My moms 3000 dollar Samsung set (her washer) isnt working as I write this. Too bad more people with good experiences dont get online and share. Hope this has been helpful.

I have a Maytag dishwasher MDBH980AWQ10, within the 1st month of owning it there were issues. Now the electronic control panel is shot, dishwasher wont turn on. To replace it...almost the cost of what I paid, warranty has run out. In the last 7 years we have had problems with 5 various Maytag products, replaced our Maytag dishwasher which lasted 20 yrs and Maytag washer & dryer that lasted 30+ years and ran without a hitch. Maytag has not been helpful at all and their authorized service repair. A&E Repair Service is a bigger scam than they are. It is a waste of my finances and time to buy major appliances every 5 years. Each and every one of their new appliances has died shortly after all the warranties have run out. Im beyond frustrated, disgusted, and financially drained. It does not pay to be brand loyal to Maytag for they are no longer respectful nor appreciative of their customers. I would love to give corporate the opportunity to enjoy the same products that are in my home...in their homes...as well as the experience of their customer service. Last Maytag purchase for me! Is there anything that I can do in the meantime so Im not stuck with their lemons?

Please let me know if there is a class action suit. This refrigerator leaks water all my floor every three days or so. I have to chip the ice off the bottom of freezer every three or four days. Storage is also a joke. Poor design.

It’s washing day today, so I’m angry, frustrated and livid to do it in my Maytag machines. I’m 72 years old and been doing this for 53 years. It’s not a job you love to do but you do it. I finally get to be able to afford whatever machines I want, so what do I do, buy Maytag. They are beautiful, see through top load, and see through dryer. So finally I get to use them, what a letdown. I don’t understand how they can put these machines on the market. Unbelievable! Also very expensive. The sensor for the water level is way off. It starts washing with hardly no water covering the clothes so this is where I put it on pause and add buckets of water to wet at least the clothing. I did a test to see how the clothes moved inside when washing. It was a load of white towels and I put in a bright green face cloth to see how it moved around in there. Well what a surprise, it stayed on top and moved about 3 inches to the right. That’s all it did. You don’t call that washing, I call that soaking! Terrible washer! I could go on and on but I’m getting too upset. Now for the dryer, the sensors don’t work right so what I do is use the timer and the temperature buttons only. Sometimes clothes gets stuck under the lint basket and by the time the buzzer tells me the load is finished drying, it is so twisted that it’s wrinkled forever. It has ruined a beautiful tablecloth of mine. I can’t sell these machines because I would feel very bad to pass them to someone else…Maytag does but not me. Because of my age I won’t be getting new machines probably, I’m stuck with them, but I would advise anyone shopping for a new washer and dryer, go out there and see what they have, come back home and look for reviews which I did not. Bad mistake! Note: I searched everywhere to write this review to Maytag on their website, none to be found!

I purchased the Maytag Bravo model MGDB950YG on April 22, 2012. It worked great for a while then stopped heating and drying the clothes. After going through the Maytag procedure, a repair person assessed the problem, had to order the part then came back to repair it. But the same thing just happened again! Both Maytag and HHGregg need to go through the appropriate procedures, which leaves me without a dryer for who knows how long this time. Maytag will not do next day service probably because it costs them a little more. I think Maytag should have enough common sense to sometimes make exception to this. Today is Thursday and I cant get an appointment until Monday! I have owned two dryers prior to this which each lasted 10 years plus. I would be much more understanding if I had my appliance for more than 4 months (out of commission 2-3 weeks of the 4 months). Ive never been so disappointed in an appliance!

Im so mad over my new purchase on the XL Bravo washer and dryer and Home Depot will not return. I have 3 kids and a hard working husband. My clothes do not come out clean no matter what cycle I use. It takes forever just to wash one load. If you spill something on your clothes and it dries crusty it will come out of the washer crusty. I want to cry. So much money wasted and cant get our money back. Would never recommend a washer without an agitator. Towels come out soaking wet, and dont spin dry if heavy...forget washing a blanket. 4th day using the dryer and now there is no heat. What was I thinking!! So mad and sad too!

Can not wash 4 pairs of pants or 2 sheets because they get out of balance when the spin cycle begins. I had to take the clothes out and move them around to keep the balance. Very unhappy. Would not recommend this washer.

I purchase the Maytag Bravos washer & dryer set 3 1/2 years ago brand new. I figured being a Maytag it would last for a long time but nope I was wrong??? I will never buy another Maytag product as long as I live and I will tell all my friends and family not to purchase a Maytag product also!

I bought this machine in 2013 and within a year it had stopped going through any cycle. It turns off and I either have to restart a cycle or set the machine to rinse/spin. My clothes do not seem clean so I have begun handwashing them before putting them in the machine. I retrieve clothes and find some clothes dry. My towels have worn spots and threads pulled out. I cannot wait till I get a new washer because I am going to put this Maytag Bravos in the backyard and take a baseball bat to this hunk of junk.

Big mistake. Worst purchase ever!! These high-efficiency washers (Maytag Washer Bravos XL) are the worst especially this one! I wash and wipe down the washer drum more than I was my clothes. I purchased it because it had a huge drum so I can wash my blankets and comforters. This washer leaves soap scum marks/residue on clothes and leaves it on the drum as well. I basically have to wash my clothes twice once with soap and then run again with just wash and rinse without soap, you tell me how efficient is that! Why not make a washer that put more water so the clothes can get washed properly. Dont worry about my water and electric bill. MAKE A WASHER THAT WORKS!I called customer service she asked me if I use the deep water, now you tell me why am I going to use the deep water, if that is the only way the washer is going to clean the clothes then do NOT give me 11 other options the washer to use. ONLY HAVE DEEP WASH OPTION. I dont care about the bells and whistles, I do not need a different tune when I turn it on and a different tune when its done washing my clothes. Make the washer the way it used to be WASHES CLOTHES WITH WATER AND LOTS OF IT. I will pay my bill not to worry. So I called customer service all they said was they will document my call! Well... like thats going to do me any good while I am stuck with your POS washer!

Second time I have purchased a Maytag washer. Both units failed within six months of extended warranty running out. Maytag repairman is sitting on his **, not because they have a quality product but because consumers are seeing that it is a subpar product. Don’t waste your money on them or any of their off brands.

I am, was, a loyal Maytag owner. The Bravos design, center hub, catches the clothes and rips the material. Customer service will only state damaged material is not warrantied. So I now have a washer that in addition to washing clothes rips them.

The control panel and the electronic control box had to be replaced after only two years of use. It cost almost as much as a new dishwasher (492 dollars). The model of the Maytag dishwasher is MDB77479SBM3. This dishwasher looks good from the outside and runs quite but the electronics are cheap and cant stand heat without melting. My wife and I are retired and only used this washer about twice per week. It looks good, cost 650 bucks and it is a pile of junk. No more Maytag in our house. We had this machine installed in July of 2014... It crapped out in July of 2016.

I purchased a French Door, Bottom Freezer refrigerator in the summer of 2006. Less than 3 years later, the ice maker door kept opening and closing and the lights on the door panel kept flashing. I called Maytag and found out there was a problem with the circuit board, and that it was under recall. The refrigerator was fixed at no charge and I was happy. Approximately 2-1/2 months ago, less than 7 years after I bought the fridge, it started getting too cold inside and then too warm and then too cold, etc. Then it stopped cooling altogether. From what I read, it was either a problem with the compressor or the relay on the compressor. There was a recall on the relay on some models, but not on mine. I cant even afford a service call. Let alone a repair charge. If the compressor is the problem, Im looking at a repair bill in the hundreds of dollars. The online price for a compressor is over $300. I dont have the money. So the beautiful refrigerator that I paid $2,000 for sits in the kitchen, unplugged. I never figured that Id pay that kind of money for a refrigerator and have 2 major problems with it in less than 7 years. I just got off the phone with Maytag and, of course, they cant do anything to help me. I was hoping to never buy another refrigerator, but if I have to or if I have to buy any other appliance, I will never ever buy another Maytag or Whirlpool. I will post everywhere I can about my experiences with this refrigerator.

I bought a refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2013. In late November 2014, I noticed water on the floor in front of the fridge. I called the Maytag customer service and reported the problem.. The customer service rep explained to me that Maytag discovered a design flaw in the part that allows the water to drain when going through the defrost cycle. I also called Home Depot. Their response was it was my problem because the fridge was out of warranty and I did not buy an extended warranty plan. After two more calls to Maytag, they scheduled a service appointment. The service repairman told me the same thing about the design flaw. I have the old part and the package the new part was in. The two parts are completely different. I requested that Maytag or Home Depot replace the fridge or give me credit for the amount I spent. Maytag is now saying there was not a design flaw and because of that, Home Depot refuses to replace the appliance. I will never buy another Maytag product or shop at Home Depot. The extended warranty is a way to place the responsibility directly on the consumer and eliminating the responsibility of the manufacturer and the store.

Bought a Maytag bravo xl washer and dryer two years ago. Spent around 1,500 dollars. Didnt make it a year before things started going bad on them. First the lid lock on the washer broke. I got the lid lock pulled out far enough that I could drill a hole in it and tie some thread to it to pull it out when the washer was ready to lock. Today the piece of junk just quit. Not long after the junk washer started messing up the dryer starts sounding like a fork in the garbage disposal. It still works and dries the close but you hate to even turn it on because of the noise. I will never purchase anything maytag again in my life. JUNK!

Oven worked ok for a year and went under right day after warranty expired. I called factory-approved repair people in Brooklyn but was told repair would cost more than buy new oven. I contacted factory but got no help either.

Maytag washer leaves clothes more wrinkled after a wash than they were in before being cleaned. And these are not full laundry loads. Then using the Maytag dryer is a joke. Need to run double times or extended times on most of the settings to get them completely dry. When it comes to the wrinkle free setting... what a joke. Clothes might be close to dry but wrinkled. Have always had Maytag products since forever. Tried Samsung for the last set-----washer lasted 6 years and then needed a full overhaul. Cheaper to buy a new set. Went back to Maytag. MISTAKE. Samsung did a lot better job of washing and drying. Now stuck with Maytag until... when? Retired and dont have the funds to get new replacements. Just my opinion though.

First front loader washer and love it. Saving on water, less tangling of clothes. So far they are quieter than others that I have had. The dryer is almost 10 years old and the washer less than a year. The machine I had previous to this was top loader that had to be replaced, would no longer spin.

My $1500 2 yr old Maytag mbf2258Dem refrigerator stopped cooling properly (wont freeze). The icemaker was the slowest I have ever had. That may have been the problem when I bought it. The Maytag Repairman came out and said that even with Maytag sending me a new compressor (under warranty) this unit was not worth fixing. I called Maytag and they said sorry there was nothing they would do. So l looked up every review I could find... and this refrigerator is just bad. Not Worth Fixing. So Maytag deceived me. On the front of the door it says 10 year compressor warranty. Thats a big sales feature! They know that they have a problem. This is one bad company!

Purchased Maytag dishwasher Model Number MDB7749AWM1 in June 2011. With a two person household, we need a new control panel in Sept 2014. Total cost of service call, repair and part is $325. This unit was a poor value for us. I see the trend is to discontinue a model after a short period of time, making it impossible for anyone to get a review of other peoples experiences. I went with Maytag because of this. It was a company with a strong reputation for quality equipment. Not so anymore. I would not purchase another product made by Maytag.

I bought my Maytag in 2013. It worked fine at first but for the last year it isnt getting clothes clean. In fact, some look like theyve never been washed. I have to run the rinse cycle 2-3 times and they still seem somewhat soapy. The washer still leaves clothes drippy after running the spin cycle. It takes 2-3 hours to complete a small load. I wish I had my old Kenmore back. It worked fine for nearly 20 years!

Maytag has really gone downhill. Had trouble with a factory defect in a new French door Maytag refrigerator within a few months (had it returned) and now the Maytag Centennial EcoConserve Top Load Washer no longer spins after only just barely 2 years of use... I will NEVER buy Maytag again. That is a promise. I will put more money and buy more expensive products from your rivals if it means avoiding Maytag products. That is my advice to anyone reading this review. The washer was used for MAYBE 10 loads of laundry per month... Yes, just for two people who have desk jobs so It was never stressed out. Used HE laundry detergent. Quality is a thing of the past for this company. Your reputation is in the doghouse.

I purchased your refrigerator (model #mfd2561heb) in 2005. I bought a Maytag, because I thought it would last me a lifetime. I came to find out it will not. I called Maytag, and got Repair Plus One. The repairman came out without a compressor or capacitor. Now, I have to wait 4 days or more. I have a 3 year olds birthday party, of which we will be working out of our 19 year old Kenmore in the garage, which has worked flawlessly. To make it short, you lost me as a customer, because of this product! I just wanted to let you know. It is sad too, as we enjoyed the refrigerator. Its been making noise for awhile. I thought it was just part of the ice maker. Now, it cost me another $299, plus all the food I had to throw out! There was a big recall of refrigerators from Maytag around the time mine was made. I think that this model should be part of that recall as well. Dont buy a Maytag! They may have had quality at one time, but I just think those days are gone. Thank God for our Kenmore in the garage. I dont know what I wouldve done without it.

We purchased a washer and dryer two years ago. The washer got louder and louder until we realized something was wrong and we called to get it fixed. Luckily, that was within the time of the warranty. The noise, however, began getting louder and louder within a very short time. Maytag refused to fix it again. Now, the washer sounds like a jet engine and wont drain the water at all.

Purchased a supposedly top-of-the-line Maytag washer and dryer (9000 Series with Steam and MCT-Maytag Commercial Technology; Washer MHWE900VJ). Just under five years of use and the repairman quotes me just over $1000 parts and labor with the overwhelming majority of that quote being parts. No wonder the Maytag repairman is the loneliest guy in town - its not worth fixing your not-yet-5-year-old machine. It kills me that companies are allowed to advertise and promote the quality and reliability of their products and less than 5 years later, the machine is going to the dump, after having paid a premium for quality. This technology was supposedly comparable to what is used in a commercial setting - not very believable in my opinion. No more Maytag or Whirlpool for me.

My Maytag refrigerator, model number mff2557heb, serial number 10375839gv, was purchased in 5/2005. Two weeks ago, this refrigerator stopped working. I called the Maytag technician and then right away came to my house and find out it is the compressor that needs to be replaced. He told me to search if it is under warranty. I searched in the internet Maytag compressor warranty and I found it and then called the Maytag representative. I told them I have found in their website that compressor of this Maytag is covered for 10 years but labor is not included. Then they asked me to fax it. I faxed the copy on 6/20 and they responded on 6/22. He said they received the copy and he said, Yes, it is covered for 10 years but you will shoulder the labor. So to make the story short, this Maytag representative scheduled Friday, 6/29 for the Maytag technician to fix my refrigerator. My husband did not go to work yesterday, 6/29, Friday, so he will be home for this Maytag tech. Maytag tech came at about 2pm yesterday and when he confirmed that it is the compressor that is the problem, he asked for the warranty paper. And when my husband present the proof, the copy of their warranty coverage that came from the Maytag website, he refused to work with my refrigerator because he said the one in the internet is not valid. It is really upsetting because I faxed the copy of it to them on 6/20/12 and they honored it. Thats why they arranged the technician to come to my house and then my husband did not work for them to work with our refrigerator and then asking me $79 for just saying that it is not covered by the warranty. I even gave them the model number and the serial number of the refrigerator so they can verify if it is covered. He said yes 10 years warranty on the compressor. In fact, two employees that I have spoken to both agreed that it is 10 years coverage except for the supervisor named Rachel. Her employees agreed to 10 years based on the paper that I have faxed them and it came from their website and they dont want to honor it after they sent the technician to my house. Purchased a Maytag based on previous models that worked. Now when I do a load of wash, no matter how large or small, the clothes are still wet after the full spin cycle is finished. This has been going on for a few months. There are only two adults so the machine is not in constant use. We have had the machine 9 years and frankly would never buy Maytag again.

According to repairman this washer had a very common problem with what mine was doing. Water was gushing up out of the detergent, bleach, and softener dispensers and running out onto my floor. It was going to cost an arm and a leg to repair it. Mind you this washer isnt even 3 yrs old yet. Called the manufacturer and they basically told us that we should have purchased the extended warranty. We said if so many washers of that model had that problem they should have had a recall and fixed it for the customer. They said it wasnt a safety issue. I asked if falling on a floor covered with washer water and breaking a hip isnt considered a safety issue? No more Maytags for me.

Purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Best Buy. We did not buy the extended warranty from BB because there is a warranty with Maytag. After 4 months of use the washer stopped working. We were unable to return it to Best Buy because we exceeded the 2 week return policy and needed to rely on Maytags 1 year warranty. It took over 2 weeks to schedule a repair and he was unable to fix it, it needed an entirely new Control Board and UI panel. 3 weeks later he returned with the new parts. It worked for 10 days with the NEW Board and panel, it has now stopped working again. We are not able to replace it due to the California Lemon Law which allows a company 3 opportunities to fix it before replacing. Next time I will purchase the Best Buy warranty so I can replace this Maytag LEMON.

This is not my first Maytag. Bought this one in August 2017 from Home Depot. Now all it does is make a grinding sound. No lights. Not anything but noise. I bought one without all the digital because I thought that could be more problems. The only part that is digital is the start/pause button. I liked the idea of less water and no center. It balloons the clothes when it is finished spinning. Didnt start out that way. I use the right detergent and wash it every 30 days as it suggests. Cant afford to call a repairman on such a new washer.

I waited my entire life to age 47 to purchase a brand new matching Maytag washer and dryer. I was thrilled. That was August of 2012. 3 years and two months later, the $800 dryer (MEDE201YW) loses the entire control panel and Maytag refuses to offer any assistance. I deliberately purchase Maytag with its stellar reputation, an American based company only to be more disappointed in the product and the company than in any other appliance Ive ever purchased.
