My machine is only 14 months old and will not even turn on. I opened the lid, and the tub was filled with water and the wet clothes sitting in there. There were only 6 items in there: 3 school skirts and 3 school pants, dripping wet. So I unplugged the unit to try and clear the circuit board - to no avail. The machine will still not turn on. The lights are on, the sensor turns on for about 3 seconds and shut off and everything just sits there. I did not get the extended warranty. My mom still has her Maytag she bought 30 years ago and its running like a champ. Wish I could say the same. I gave my sister my old Maytag - its 25 years old and its still running like a champ. This machine is a LEMON. I will never buy another Maytag again. I am so done with this brand. I hope that a Class Action suit is filed against them.

I have had this range (Maytag MER8775AS electric range) for 36 days. The hot surface indicator light doesnt come on (bulb is fine) and the heat elements turn on and off on their own when I am cooking. 36 days! This thing is junk! I am going to see if I can return it, even though it is outside the 30-day window.

Maytag Cenntenial Washer - We traded our super capacity for the ex-large Maytag washer and we have great regrets. We posted it on Craigslist about 4 months after we bought the unit and NO ONE would buy it for $300.00 even though we paid close to $600, and only 4 months old? What does that tell you? I have had to add 5 gallons (bucket) with each wash to make sure all the soap washes out. Very loud, takes a long time to wash and just worthless. This last weekend, we tried to trade it for a used $150 agitator washer with a used appliance store and they said theyd never be able to sell it and refused the trade. What does that tell you about the washer?

One month after warranty we had our first issue which cost us $380. Kinda my fault I was told by repair guy... My bra underwire came out during wash and destroyed the part we had to replace. Then a year later during spin cycle it sounds like an airplane taking off for about 10 minutes. Its so loud we cant even hear our TV! So guessing its bearings gone bad now? Which is a very difficult part to replace. And pricey. So guessing a new washer is in our future. We previously owned a Maytag washer and had it for 15 years and it still worked fine, we just wanted to upgrade. Big mistake! I wouldnt wish this washer on my enemies. I think the repair guys sets it to mess up when they do this reset thingy. Lol. Cause within a month of the renewed warranty we purchased was expired is when the 2nd issue began. I think the older washer are better because all this newer technology stuff is crap!! My advice do not buy Maytag Bravos series washer unless youve got lots of cash for repairs!!

I had a Maytag washing machine replaced under warranty back in 2011 via Maytags Extended Service Plan. This took me several months to get done because of back and forth issues with Maytag not wanting to honor the replacement. Executive Support had to get involved after I wrote a complaint on this site. When they replaced this, they sent me forms to extend my warranty, which I did. They never changed the model or serial number so Ive been paying for 2 years now for an extended warranty on a machine I do not own.The new washer broke and I called in for service on 11/18/13. Active Appliance was sent out, said it was an easy fix but they needed to order a part. On 11/20/13 they contacted me to tell me I needed to speak to Maytag because my Model/Serial didnt match with my warranty records. I double-checked these and called Maytag Extended Service and was told that I would need to speak to sales at 866-730-6094. I spoke to someone named Lindsey there who told me that I would need to send a letter in to cancel my policy and request a refund for the 2 years Id been paying for a non-existent unit and that they could start a new policy for me and get a service order in without issue. My call was disconnected during this and when I called back, I was told to call back in the morning to get back to Lindsey because the office was closing and they couldnt do callbacks.I called back on 11/21/13 and spoke to Sam who verified that the letter was needed to cancel and refund but that I would have to pay for the repair to the washer myself and theyd tack on the cost of the new warranty onto that bill so Id be covered AFTER THE FACT. Because the unit wasnt covered under warranty, Id have to cover the costs myself and it had been MY responsibility, not theirs, to make sure that the correct model/serial was on the coverage.Maytag sent me the forms and I would expect them to have added the new information on it...not send me forms with my original washing machine information. Especially as this had been escalated to Executive Support and the person I dealt with there had gone over everything to make sure it all got handled in a satisfactory matter. So for now, Im waiting for a callback from the original rep, Lindsey, but Maytag tends to Stonewall and not return calls so Im dreading how long this entire process is going to take and cost.

Just purchased a maytag dishwasher from home depot. I did the install myself. The dishwasher will not work at all the panel lights up, but no water goes into the washer. I now must wait two days for repair. After reading all the other reviews, I am thinking about returning it for another brand. And yes the water supply is on. I have hooked up several dishwashers. This is the first time a brand new one did not work right from the store.

Maytag model #MDB6949SC, purchased Feb 22, 2015. In early May plastic parts from the top rack wheel assembly broke. Assembly unit replaced at no cost through the 1 year warranty. (cost = time and effort to arrange replacement with repair person). Same parts broke again in November - replaced at no cost again under warranty. Warranty expires in two months. If past performance indicates future performance, this part will need replacing twice a year at ~$140 per visit or $280 per year. Not a good thing. Called Whirlpool and with several calls and emails. They offered an extension of a year on the warranty. I think using plastic for this wheel assembly unit is a design flaw. Would not recommend this dishwasher.

Model MDB7749AWM2. Paid over $700.00. Figure I would get a good dishwasher so it would last and clean dishes. I was wrong. I replaced all new appliances for kitchen in house we had purchase 3 years ago. I replaced door switch 4 times, front door panel where screws go in broke off. Salesman at Lowe’s said Maytag was a good dishwasher. It is a stainless front and stainless inside. I have had cheaper models and never had problems with.

This machine is not backed up by Maytag unless you purchase an extended warranty. I tried to contact Maytag regarding this machine breaking in less than two years. This machine has all the bells and whistles but dont expect to use them all because as soon as I used hot water or steam, it affects the lid lock assembly. This should be a recall from Maytag. They know it happens but arent doing anything to improve or remedy the situation. I was only able to use this machine with cold water after this happened. I spent more money getting this washing machine fixed than it deserved. Im so disappointed with Maytags customer service and their product.

Loading is easy, operation is extremely quiet, dishes are very clean even on normal auto wash cycle. White, integrated depress buttons, full size, removable utensil baskets, upper and lower racks, top rack is manually adjustable, stainless steel tub. White front which is what we want not the ugly old metal stainless steel, usage buttons are on the upward facing edge of the door, pull down handle is nice size and very sturdy. Model is MDB8959SBW3. Even on normal auto wash cycle dishes are clean without much pre-rinsing. Purchased 10/14 from local dealer and professionally installed. So far we love it.

Maytag model mfd2561hes French door stainless steel purchased in June 2005 has been the worst appliance purchase ever. After 1 year warranty expired, icemaker and water dispenser stopped working. Was told by repairman to thaw the tube for water dispensing with a hair dryer. Are you kidding me? Why should I have to pull a huge refrigerator out from wall and put the hair dryer to it to thaw out the water line when I need water? What is the convenience to that? Cant buy fresh vegetables as it will freeze before I can use it. This is the worst appliance ever. Dont buy Maytag products. Maytag doesnt back products like the old days when they would last 20 + years. Cant last even a year anymore. Sad!

I have a top loader Maytag washing machine, Model MVWB835DW4, bought in 11/2019. Five months of light use, the lid cracked. Received a replacement and four months later the lid once again cracked in the exact same spot. Requested replacement parts under warranty and I was told that a service tech must install the lid. Due to health and safety concerns related to Covid, we are not take any chances letting people into our home. My wife and I are 70 years old and are at high risk. Maytags response was they would not send parts under warranty to me and a service tech must install the parts. If I dont let them in by 11/2/2020 (the end of the warranty period) then I would have to pay for the parts. Maytag has the very worse customer service in the industry.

I also purchased a Maytag refrigerator model #MBR1953YES3 at Home Depot less than 2 yrs. ago. A year had not passed and I noticed the freezer starting to freeze up. Water started to leak from the bottom freezer. My husband had to break chunks of ice that clogged the drain but still, it continues to freeze. We hired a certified technician to clean the drain but a few days later, a puddle of water appeared all over our kitchen. Now we have a towel to stop the water from coming under the refrigerator. I thought when I was buying a Maytag, I was buying the best. I now know that, it was the biggest mistake. I will think twice before ever considering buying a Maytag again.

I have a Maytag Neptune washing machine which had a mold problem on the rubber grommet. I have been trying to call Maytag to no avail. I researched and saw there was a class action suit for this very problem and I was never informed. The washer may pose a health hazard and I would like Maytag to do something about it.

MHW7100DW Maytag Washer Steam & YMED7100DW Maytag Dryer Steam. Both of them are easy to use. They hold lots of clothing as well as bedding and many different settings. They both do an excellent job. Brand and excellent reputation. Had my last Maytag washer & dryer over 25-years and had no problems with either. Thats why I bought Maytag again. Repairs are very costly when you have to pay technicians. Dont like poor quality construction or enamel chipping when you place items on them. Very easy to clean both of them. Practically no lint dust emitted into the room from the dryer. Had no problems with my previous washer & dryer. Thats why I purchased a full size Maytag washer and dryer again.

I purchased our Maytag dishwasher last November. Last week, the control panel went out. I called customer service and they were actually polite and helpful, except for the fact that I had to wait an entire week to have a technician come to my house. Being that I live in the Balt/DC Metro area, I would have thought they would have enough people in the area to come over faster. Anyhow, we finally had the technician come today and tell us that the control panel needs replaced and that he highly recommends an extended warranty, which costs $200 for 5 years. He let my husband know that the repair itself would cost $500 if not covered by warranty!!! What a ripoff! I purchased this dishwasher because I grew up believing in the Maytag brand. Sounds like this is an extremely common issue and if Maytag wants to make things right, they should discontinue sale of their crap product and provide those of us who are stuck with it, a complimentary 5 year warranty. I shouldnt have to pay $200 in extended warranty to make up for the fact that my control panel is likely to go out again in another year, when Ill be forced to buy a new dishwasher.

We purchased this product from Lowe’s in 2009. We liked it for the first 6 months. Then it started putting holes in our clothes, the washer smells bad, coins get stuck, and make noise. Something needs to be done because there are thousands of upset consumers out there, all with the same complaints and Maytag does nothing. It’s not Lowe’s fault. They didnt make the washer. All of my brand new white wash cloths have black stains on them. They look like mechanics use them to check the oil. And, my white denim capri pants have weird stains on them. This washing machine is a joke. It may be water efficient, but sacrifices cleanliness and stain removal. Maytag should recall this ** Queen.

We have purchased several washer/dryer sets in the past decade & will never purchase another Maytag. After 3 years of very light use, it stopped working. We had a certified Maytag repairman come & tell us we needed a $600 circuit board replaced. We reluctantly paid for it and 3 months later, intermittent problems began. Plus, it is obnoxiously loud. The repairman said this is normal. Randomly stopping the cycle, not starting the cycle at all without multiple restarts ... the list goes on. The 3 Lg sets we have bought are awesome. Maytag may have been king in the 60s, but the quality of their products has tanked. Dont waste your money on their products.

Maytag WASHING MACHINE MVWC200XW - Will not clean our clothing. We have been tolerant of Maytags disregard for the people who have trusted their product and name over many years. I bought this new washer and dryer pair at Lowes August 2018. I chose this brand because of the very large wash tub (5.3 cu ft) since I have king size bedding. My previous washer was a front loader, and there were problems with the door seal molding and stinking, and loads had dry spots on them after washing. So within a very short time, I realized I hated this new washer. Very noisy, no agitator, very long cycles. You cannot adjust the time or water levels, and the biggest problem... I CANNOT REACH THE BOTTOM OF THE TUB! I had to steal the grabby toy out of our toy box to pull the wet load out! The laundry comes out all tangled up and horribly wrinkled, even when using the wrinkle-free setting. I line dry a lot of my clothes and now have to iron everything. Never had to do that before. I know Im stuck with this set, but will look forward to the day when it dies and I can buy new ones again.

This unit is only 4 months old. It freezes everything, vegetables, eggs, etc. It took more than 3 weeks for the technician to show up at my door!! Performed a service modification according to the manufacturer specs. This did not work!! Call again to have a it fix. He show up almost 2 weeks later. This time he replaced a part, worked fine for almost 2 weeks. Now I am having the same problem. I had it with this Maytag piece of junk!! I will never buy anything from Maytag again!! I purchased my Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer several years ago, and I have hated them ever since. The clothes smell and are wrinkled. The dryer never gets the clothes dry. It will run and run and run, and the clothes will still be wet. I previously owned a Maytag Washer/Dryer for nearly 20 years and never had a problem. This set is a piece of junk. When I go to Lowes or any store for that matter and see someone considering this product, I warn them as quickly as possible to stay away from this product. I will continue to do so. Shame on you, Maytag, for making such a horrible product and for being too weak to stand behind your product. I will never buy Maytag again and will do my best to make sure none else does either.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos washer and dryer 3 years ago, thinking I was buying a high quality washer and dryer seeing that it has the Maytag name on it. When it was nine months old, I had to have the complete tub assembly replaced. Now coming upon three years old, I am having similar issues with the machine so I called out a repair service out to see what my options are. Come to find out this time that the shocks that support the tub are bad. All three of them need to be replaced at a price of $455.00. At this point, it is not worth putting the money into it. Maytag, 3 years old and I am having to start shopping for another washer. It will not be a Maytag.

I purchased a Maytag Microwave Oven MMV5208 WS 1 from Home Depot less than two years ago. Mine was actually manufactured in April 2013 according to the ID tag. A couple of months ago it started acting up because a switch when the door closes began to malfunction and you had to open and close the door several times to get the microwave started. Then all of a sudden when you set the timer and pushed the start button it would flash on and immediately shut off. This is extremely frustrating because I paid more than $400.00 and purchased it less than two years ago. I am disappointed because Maytag advertises its reliability and this microwave is anything but reliable.

Should have read reviews. Ill never buy another Maytag. This stove has been bad almost from start. Stove has burned marks from using broil. Repairman told me not to use broil anymore. One of eyes has been worked on 2 times; the knob does not work correctly; when you turn off, it goes past the off and keeps on going to the left. It is very hard to clean surface. I have had a few years. Company paid for one repair. They should have replaced stove from beginning. Not safe.

New side by side, water inlet to ice always freezes. Had a service man out, said some tube needed to be enlarged but still freezes up.The ice dispenser is total junk. Keeps spitting out ice after glass is removed and just a poor design. Dont recommend this brand.

I love the front loading machines. Fabrics dont get beat up like they do with a top loading machine with an agitator. My Maytag front loader doesnt have as many bells and whistles as others, but I love it nonetheless. Reliability was very important to me when I bought it, so I talked to a couple repair men to see if this was one they worked on a lot. When I found out they didnt, I bought it.

RE: 5.2 CU Ft Top Load Washer, Model # MVWB865GW0, Serial # C84370937 - Purchased Jan 2019. The clothes come out terribly tangled and severely wrinkled, even when using the Wrinkle Control or Delicate cycle and occurs in every load size. Ive tried every cycle, including the deep fill and low spin speed but items are so wrinkled that whether I lay flat or hang or put them in the dryer, I have to iron them, which I never did before.

Two years ago I purchased a Maytag commercial technology top-load washer. It only two options for water level, either deep water or Auto sensor. Because I live alone I have very small amounts of clothing to wash at a time. Therefore I was excited about the auto sense to save water. However when using the auto sensor theres such a small amount of water in the drum it does not cover the clothes being washed and often I have items of clothing come out of the wash cycle and rinse cycle with dry spots on them yet. The clothes dont get clean and begin to smell stale shortly after theyve been washed. I contacted the business from which I purchased the machine and they were not able nor willing to do anything about my dissatisfaction. This is the worst Appliance I have ever purchased in my 64 years hows life. I hate this washer. It is totally ineffective. And now Im stuck with it and dirty clothes.

To begin with, the Bravos 300 washer was bought because we owned a Maytag previously and it was with us for 25 years. It was still running when we gave it away and the only problem was a small oil leak starting at the drive. The new washer has no agitator, just the new style flat thing at the bottom of the tub. You cannot wash a set of fitted sheets without it turning into a tangled mess. The washer quit working after about 5 years and all indications pointed to the control. The control would reset after unplugging, but would freeze immediately when you tried to enter a command. We live in an isolated place and it is not feasible to fly in a service person. I ordered a new control, but there was no change in function. After several hours of detective work, it turns out that the mickey mouse plug for the electrical connection at the pump had broken inside. Because the pump would not work, the whole control would freeze. We will never buy another Maytag.

I purchased our Maytag Dishwasher in 2014 (Model # MDB77495B) and after a little over a year, of course after the warranty had expired the panel started to act up. I did get it repaired costing over $300 for parts and service thinking all is well. The repairman that came out had to come out twice once to look at and then again to fix after the part came in. We had a conversation and he said that was common with this brand, the steam sometimes affects the panel. I spoke with Maytag about getting an extended warranty but after looking at the cost passed on it. Well now the panel is acting up again. If Maytag thinks I am going to have another repairman come out well think again. I will see how much the part cost and do it myself if it cheap enough, if not I guess Ill be back to washing dishes by hand for awhile. I bought this brand feeling that it was American made and the cost was on the expensive side that it would last. I am disappointed that this has happened again. For the money spent it should last at least 10 years. My old dishwasher that was given to me used lasted over 15 years with not one problem. Its a shame we cannot get good working appliances as we did back in the day.

We bought a Maytag dryer from Lowes on 4.23.20 for $567.87. From Day 1, it required us to dry even medium loads at least 2 times and sometimes even 3 times. I have been complaining to my husband since we got it. The clothes come out smelling almost burnt. But if you dry it once, the clothes are wet. And if you try to dry it the 2nd time for less time, its still not dry. So, it takes forever to do laundry. This morning, it sounded like a lot of metal was rattling around. So, I looked inside to see if change was in there, and nothing was in there but t-shirts and socks. It had been drying for less than a minute, but when I opened the door a wave of extreme heat hit my face. Now Im afraid to use it because I think it will eventually burn our house down. And with COVID-19, we do tons of laundry. We cant afford another dryer but may have no choice.

I need a new circuit board for a $2500 refrigerator. It was Saturday night of a holiday weekend when the ice chute started opening and closing and lights on door panel flashed like crazy. I called Maytag, who set up a service appointment for me for Monday. The tech came at 6pm and said there was nothing he could do without a part from Maytag and left. I proceeded to throw out all spoiled food and load a cooler with ice. I called Maytag, and they said it will take about a week to receive the part and have service. I have children in the house, and we live in Miami. I said that I would pay for overnight delivery of the part, and they told me it couldnt be done. I called this morning for a tracking number of the part, and they told me that it wasnt sent out as of yet. According to the internet search, this is a problem with a considerable amount of model number MF12568AES, and I should have been notified by the company. They claim it is a special project, not a recall.

In July 2012 I purchased a Maytag BTM standard door refrigerator from Home Depot. Approx. 2 weeks from the 1 yr. Standard warranty July 2013, my refrigerator started cycling like every 20 minutes and loud popping noises started occurring. 1st service tech would only stay 15 minutes & did not want to stick around to hear the noise. Ran the standard tests and said everything was fine. That was around Aug. 2013. So I put up with it for a few more months and finally the popping noise was getting louder. 2nd service guy (Jan. 24, 2014) got to hear my video recording of the refrigerator cycling and loud popping noise. He replaced a bad dul part (Note: they all wanted to blame it on our ice maker that we never ever hooked up). Oops...wrong diagnosis. Whatever he replaced stopped the constant cycling pattern but now the popping noise is getting even louder like a shotgun going off. 3rd repair guy (Feb. 20, 2014) tells us that is normal and recycle product material is not that good nowadays?? I pay a $1000.00 for a noisy refrigerator and they say it is a normal sound. I dont think so. The refrigerator is now popping so hard that the right side of my refrigerator that faces the open is now buckling due to the compression of the heating and cooling which is causing the loud popping noise. If you rub your hand down the side of refrigerator you can feel the waves forming on the side of the refrigerator. Trying to get a Maytag rep out here. Something needs to be done about the production of these bad appliances.

Bought a nice looking Maytag fridge 2 years ago. For the past 6 months it has been leaking all over the kitchen floor. Most recently it has started leaking every 2 days. It is so frustrating as well as extremely dangerous! Both my younger kids have slipped and fell because of the slippery floor. We now have to keep a towel there all the time.Please let me know if there is a product recall. Not the Maytag we used to have. My parents bought all their Maytag appliances when they got married and they lasted over 30 years! This is why I bought the Maytag fridge... not sure of the quality now.

Bought this Dishwasher two years ago. Control panel was working intermittently now it does not work. I am looking for anyone with this same problem. I know lawyers who are class action specialists who fight for the consumer. We need to make Maytag responsible for the flaws they have in their product. From reading these other reviews it seems that this control panel issue is consistent no matter what model you have. They must all share the same electrical components that is causing this issue with the control panel. My model number is MDB8959SBS2.

We have a Maytag washer. It is the noisiest washer I have ever seen! It is in the garage as you could not have this washer in a house. The deep water wash is not deep enough. It bangs and knocks VERY loud! There have been times when all of the clothes are not even wet.

In December 2017 I bought a Maytag Bravos (w/o agitator) based solely on past experience (56 yrs.) of buying from Maytag without any complaints. A friend told me I wouldnt be happy with my purchase and she was RIGHT! It doesnt get my clothes clean to my satisfaction, my towels are all getting snags as well as silky sheets and pillowcases and dark clothes have a soap scum line on them. I have slightly better luck if I wash everything with the deep water level option but I still need to wash dark clothes a second time without any soap or fabric softener to lighten the scum line.I am very careful to use minimal amounts of high efficiency detergent but that doesnt help. I called Maytag and complained within the first month but then we were gone for the month of February and I just never followed up with them. Now Im sure its too late to do anything. I wish I had listened to my friend. Hopefully I can save another consumer from making the same mistake I made.

Purchased a Maytag Dryer, Washer and Oven Range in December 2011. Both washer and oven were serviced within 1 year under warranty. The dryer stopped working in August 2013, not under warranty. Total cost to repair is $450. Called Maytag to see if they could reduce the repair cost, answer... NO. Maytag spends millions of dollars in advertising... Built Strong to Last Long but they cant spend several hundreds to keep customers. Will never buy a Maytag, Whirlpool, KitchenAid or any other related company product ever. Their motto should be Built Weak to Last Weeks.

Dryer doesn’t dry any size load in one cycle regardless of settings. Mysteriously, it triggers a message to check the lint filter and line when running a small load with nothing blocking the venting system. It never happens on large loads which would block more of the air flow. You could get a comparably sized dryer for much less. This not the premium product that you pay for.

I would like others to know that Maytag does not stand behind this product at all. I am not sure about other products, but after talking to Maytags customer service team I would guess you would get the same runaround with other products. We have had our washers for about eight years now and have had many things go wrong with it. The one that gets me the most is the one that my appliance repair service does not cover and that is the main bearing. I have done some research to why this is and most of them do not cover this, because they should last for the life of the washer. Most washers last for more than ten years. However this washer has only lasted a few years on each bearing. I have now put in my third bearing into this washer. The last bearing only lasted two years. If I had to pay for labor on replacing this part I would have not replaced it. I had been given a quote for replacing it and it was over $350. Some places wanted more than $400 to do it. To me the washer is not worth this. Yes we paid like $900 for the washer, but it is not worth putting that much money into this washer. If you cannot replace this part on your own then just walk away from it. Buy a Speed Queen. I know Maytag has sent parts to other people free of charge, but I have not been so lucky. When you send others part to fix the same problem, to me that is admitting that there is a flaw in this washer. With that said my wife and I already filed a BBB complaint against Maytag and will be sending a letter to the Minnesota Attorney General. I have proof they have sent replacement parts to others and dont see why they cannot do the same for me. Maytag is own by Whirlpool, you think it would be cheaper and easier to make customers happy than just brushing them off. I would say that customer service in many of these large companies and even small companies is gone. I remember when you would call a company and make a complaint and they would go out of their way to try to make you happy. Now they come up with reasons why it is all the customers fault that their products are bad. Maytag is just another example of a greedy business that does not care about their customers. So please do your research before you buy this product and good luck to those who have that are stuck with the junk that Maytag sells customers.

A year or so after purchasing our new home, we purchased new appliances. We thought Maytag was a good company to go with. We had serious issues with our 2005 Maytag bottom-drawer freezer refrigerator right off the bat. It arrived with a large dent in the door. They offered to take $50.00 off the price. We insisted on one without a dent. They replaced the refrigerator, and shortly after, the board and the ice-maker went out right away.Although the parts were under warranty, we had to pay for the labor. The refrigerator is 6 years old and now it is making a constant knocking sound. We paid a lot of money for what we thought was a quality appliance. What a joke. We had also bought a new Maytag washer and dryer set and they fell apart after 5 years. It’s the same with the Maytag dishwasher. Do not buy Maytag appliances. They are cheap. They fall apart. The customer service is poor. I feel cheated.

I bought this machine about a year ago. It does not wash your clothes good. Stains nor smell does not come out. It makes this god awful noise that can be heard throughout the house... It suppose to save on your water and electric bill but no savings for me considering I have to wash items 2 or 3 times... I hate this washer and I paid a lot of money for nothing coz that’s what it does - nothing!!!

Two years ago I purchased a Maytag Top-Loading HE Low-Water washer. I have always taken great pride in the way my laundry looks and smells but since this purchase, my laundry no longer smells clean and fresh nor does it look clean. I have always used the same detergent and fabric softener (only now I use the HE version) and it served me well. I have read all of the directions and did as I was instructed. I cannot believe that anyone would actually think that you can do laundry with practically no water. Do the decision makers have not common sense at all? I didnt and still dont believe it but what choice did I have when all of the machines are now HE with low water. I think its terrible that consumers dont have a choice. I have come to realize that low water, HE washing machines actually waste more time, energy and money (detergent and fabric softener).My clothes are not clean, nor do they smell good when the wash cycle is finished so I have to wash them again, using more detergent, fabric softener and energy. The super fast spin that supposedly sucks out most of the moisture, also rumples my laundry with semi-permanent wrinkles (even on the low wrinkle setting) so clothes that never had to be ironed before, now need pressing. I find it remarkable that, with all of the detergent ads promoting washing clothes in cold water to save energy, we are told that if our clothes are not sufficiently clean in cold water in our HE washers, that we should try a warmer/hot temperature. Good luck with that because my machine has several temperature settings but only uses one - COLD! I cannot actually believe that with all of the technology that our society holds, we are going backwards in the basics of washing clothes. Terrible product, terrible quality, terrible results, terrible waste of time, resources and money. Why cant you just leave some things alone??

Purchased a Maytag Dishwasher (Model MDB7749SBBO), total with tax $590.34 on 3/31/13. It wasnt a cheaper model, had stainless interior. Owning it after a 1-1/2 year, the Control Panel went bad. Maytag offered me for $267 for repairs and 1 yr warranty. Why thats about half the price I paid. My personal repairman told me the cost would be around $200 to replace the control panel. Why I could get a more inexpensive model for $300 and still get a year warranty. Very disappointed in Maytag quality of their product.

We purchased our Maytag dishwasher from Nebraska Furniture Mart in February 2013. The touch panel on our Maytag dishwasher quit working in December 2014, several lights would come on or flash or not work at all. The first repairman that we had come out took the panel apart, cleaned it up and put it back together ($100). It started working again but a few days later it started doing the same thing again. So I called the repairman back and he said the touch panel would need to be replaced. He called all over Omaha and no one had the part in stock. He called the Chicago Maytag warehouse and was told by them that they were out of them because there were so many defective dishwashers that they used them all. Now they are trying to find a new manufacturer to make them. It could be months before they get them in. So I contacted Maytag and of course they said that is not true and put me through to a parts company that they said has all the parts available. When I told that company that it was the touch panel, I was told by them that you only replace the touch panel for cosmetic reasons! So we got a second opinion from another Maytag repair company and he spent about 10 minutes looking at the dishwasher and said its a defective touch panel. He said he has replaced a lot of them in Maytag dishwashers. He recommended that I contact Maytag customer service and try to get them to pay for the part. I did call them and of course they refused because it is out of warranty. The supervisor even told me that they have not had any complaints about the touchpad malfunctioning! They do not stand behind their products anymore. I will never buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product ever again. I told them exactly how I felt and their only reply was Im sorry you feel that way. I am surprised they continue to stay in business. I dont understand how major stores can continue to sell their products when they are garbage. Based on the other reviews Ive read, Im not even sure we should fix this for $250.

I would like to start with, my Mother had always used Maytag washer and dryers. Her machines would last 20 years or more. I bought a Maytag front loader washer and dryer in 2006, since owning these machines have spent in upwards of $1400 in repairs. Some being flood out of tub, mother board blow out a couple of times as well as various other issues. The biggest problem is the awful smell of our clothes, I must wash clothes multiple times to try and remove these smells. I tried contacting Maytag and they dont want to hear my complaints and push me off to purchasing another washer and dryer. Oh, I will be buying a new washer and dryer it just will not be Maytag. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT buy another Maytag. This is not the same company my Mother knew and trusted.

Maytag French door Bottom Mount Model # MFT2976AEW02 - Purchased this model refrigerator in late 2013. Had minor problems with ice maker for last 6 months, not have freezer problems, as the bottom freezer is not keeping food frozen. Called repairman today. He ran 64 checks on refrigerator, said to keep eye on problem and he will re check in 24 hours. Called private company, Maytag in Latrobe. They referred us to the Maytag repairman. We will keep you posted. We moved all of our frozen food to a downstairs older freezer for safekeeping. Keep checking, we will update.

I purchased a Neptune front-load washer in November 2005. Now that its out of warranty, theres nothing that Whirlpool can do for me. The front panel of the washer that surrounds the door has been rattling for a few weeks, so my husband took it off and found a crack on the top right section of the panel where its bolted to the frame. There is a rust bubble where the crack started. We couldnt see any of this until he took it apart. The cost of a new front panel is $185 and the response from Whirlpool? They are “very sorry” that this has happened, but there is nothing that they can do. Oh, really? Well, I come from a long line of Maytag owners and there is something I can do: spread the word about the disgusting piece of junk I paid $1,100 for! This washer wasnt even made here - it was made in Korea and its not worth $100! Note to Whirlpool: your customer service sucks!

This Maytag Centennial is the WORST piece of junk I ever purchased and I received the same uninterested response from Maytag as everyone else. Maytag sent a service man out who said it was functioning as it was intended. Once started, this washing machine cant stop if you forget to add an item. It dumps out all the water and starts the hour-long cycle over. All settings are an hour-long cycle. Unless Bulky or Delicate is selected you only get 2 inches of water -- Even for Heavy Duty. No matter what the setting, the clothes do not come out clean. You must hand wash them first. Maytags are no longer a desired product.

We purchased a Maytag Bravos X washer 2 years ago. Theres not enough water in there, and the clothes get so tangled that Ive had holes in them. Ive had technicians come out several times and they just say that its the water saving feature of the washer. I put it on the wrinkle control setting and the clothes come out ridiculously wrinkled. All of these problems are due to the water saving feature. I absolutely hate this washer and would never recommend it. I want my old washer back with the agitator and enough water in there to actually wash clothes.

We are extremely frustrated with this machine. It takes an extremely long time to go through the cycle, compared to past washing machines, even when it is working. It rarely completes the cycle and often goes back to wash and stops. We have no way of knowing if it washed or rinsed or what. To get it to finish, we have to turn the dial to drain and spin. The clothes always come out tightly twisted and tangled up and have to be untwisted and items pulled from each other....so they are extremely wrinkled! This is the first and last Maytag product we will ever buy. We HATE it!!! I would say it has been a lemon from day one but Home Hardware was no help when we complained. We tell everyone to stay away from this product.

I bought my refrigerator in May of 2012. Brand new from Home Depot. It is less than 3 years old. Now it is not working. I did not purchase an extended warranty. I never thought in less than 3 years my fridge would stop working. I called Maytag, first question from them was about warranty. So I knew I was screwed. So, basically for $300 they would come out and fix the problem. I only paid $800 for the fridge. I am lost as to why in 3 years my fridge is broke?? Makes no sense to me. So I paid a tech $100 to tell me what was wrong with it. The evaporator is leaking. It is leaking. So the evaporator is bad and I cannot fix myself. So for another $300 they would fix, so a total of $400 in an $800 fridge.I am pissed. I remember my parents having a fridge for over 25 years. Why does Maytag not take responsibility for their problem. The products we buy should last longer than 3 years. It is just a way for them to get us to buy another product. So needless to say, I am one pissed off customer. So let the emailing and letter writing begin.

How many times do we have to go without a washer? We have to wait on service to check/see how many times it has to be fixed. This is since we bought it.

Our 3-year-old Maytag refrigerator, MFF2558VEAZ, is forming a sheet of ice on the bottom of the freezer. The ice partially melts for some reason, and then water leaks out at both bottom corners, usually once a day. Others have reported the same problem. Contact with a repair person is yet to be done. This must represent a factory defect.

Convenience, small, clean while you doing other jobs, it cleans while you sleeping, it's not loud, not expensive, comes in different sizes and colors, it's another helping hand, you will love it, it's worth the money.

Brand new Maytag dishwasher, model #MDB6709AWBO, installed after one year warranty because of extended time needed to complete kitchen. It just never worked. Repairman says control panel faulty. Sears wont help or replace. Sears’ service is extremely poor, over one hour on phone transferred over and over and then told too bad by a Supervisor. After checking this site, I realized Maytag suck. And what to do now that I paid $700++ for fancy dishwasher that doesnt work. By looking at other peoples complaint, it will break down over and over.

Having issues with my mothers refrigerator, simple enough huh? She had misplaced my owners manual. NOW you buy the fridge, but like everything else, once they get your money youre basically on your own! I call to have a owners manual sent to her, she doesnt interact with the internet. I mean, there are still your older ones that doesnt even get on a computer. BUT I was told I couldnt get one! But when I bought it, I had one. Purchased a supposedly top-of-the-line Maytag washer and dryer (9000 Series with Steam and MCT-Maytag Commercial Technology; Washer MHWE900VJ). Just under five years of use and the repairman quotes me just over $1000 parts and labor with the overwhelming majority of that quote being parts. No wonder the Maytag repairman is the loneliest guy in town - its not worth fixing your not-yet-5-year-old machine. It kills me that companies are allowed to advertise and promote the quality and reliability of their products and less than 5 years later, the machine is going to the dump, after having paid a premium for quality. This technology was supposedly comparable to what is used in a commercial setting - not very believable in my opinion. No more Maytag or Whirlpool for me.

I have a Maytag purchased about a year ago. My old Maytag lasted 16 years. The salesman told us that they are now built to last 8 years. It’s pretty noisy, so much so that I have to close the door to the utility room. I guess it gets the clothes clean but it used very little water. Fortunately my model has an agitator but nothing like the old kind. After looking at many models, I feel this was the best choice for the value. It is top loading which I like.

Bought our washer dryer set from Sears in the fall of 2010. I had reservations from the start as the machines were new and the salesman was really pushing this set (on sale), with all the customers, even offering extra discounts on these models only, if customers bought that day. Apparently, they had overstock and were trying to sell them all ASAP. That was a warning to me but my husband convinced me that I was being overly suspicious. We had previously owned Maytag machines for 20 years and loved them. So I agreed. Well, I have been cursing that decision ever since. You have to hand wash/prescrub any stain on clothing, even a little make-up like blush or a little mud. Then you have to put up with an inflexible system that wont allow you manual options regarding spins and temperature or times, etc. Its all programmed. Then you put up with clanging spin cycle as it bangs against the wall. Then you pull out very wrinkled and not always cleaned clothes only to begin the most frustrating dryer experience ever. It has a mind of its own. It can actually keep spinning as it keeps adding dry time and the clothes never dry! God help you if you have a regular load. All your clothes will get stuck on the little ledge. They stay there in a heap as the machine spins and spins.The solution? You have to add a bunch of dry towels to create a lot of mass so that it keeps your laundry from getting stuck on the side. Then you have to repeat this several times cause it doesnt dry well. I will never ever shop at Sears and I will never buy Whirlpool or Maytag again. I am now saving to buy another set.

I HATE this washer. It had such good reviews before I bought it, but I have never been so disappointed. Doesnt use NEARLY enough water to get anything clean, even when I try deep water wash, bedding, or power wash. You cant switch modes in the middle of a load, and if you leave it paused too long, it drains on you. Ive tried balling everything up as the manufacturer advised. I tried using less detergent, again as advised. Nothing works. Sometimes the clothes on top dont even get wet. Dont waste your money!! If I can find a way to fix my old washer, Im going to do that and throw this thing to the junk heap.

I bought the dishwasher (Model MDB7749AWM) 15 months ago and paid $490.00. I had to put a new console in it ($245.00) on 07/16/2012. So that’s $735.00. Two days ago, the console went out again! I’m not putting $245 more in it! I called Maytag’s office. They more or less told me that was my problem! I am throwing that piece of junk away! And I’m buying a different brand. My husband and I purchased a brand new Maytag dryer in January 2012. Our first issue came when the sensors went out in March; then the belt slipped off the drum in June; then the thermistor was defective in July; and now, the same thermistor code has popped up twice since replacing it. 148013 Stan & Pauls Dartmouth MA - 3 yrs ago we remodeled the kitchen... I went with Maytag appliances because I was always told they were good. I should have stayed with GE. Dishwasher touch pad is gone again... 2nd time in 3 yrs. Last one cost us 265.00. We are senior and thought these appliances would outlast us. We only use it about twice a week. Our freezer door tracks and door needed to be replace 6 mo after purchase. WE lost all the food that had defrosted. Our oven coil burned out already also... that was expensive to replace. Only thing that we have not had to repair (knocking on wood) is the microwave. STAY AWAY FROM MAYTAG, FOLKS!!

Bought va washer. Trying to upgrade. Water fills about 1/3 of way even on bulky setting. Supposed to be high efficiency. Detergent does not get all the way out because there is no enough water. Have to put it through 2 rinse cycles. Worst machine. Design is flawed. Clothes all wrinkled. I cant afford to buy clothes and have them ruined. Man must have designed. Hate the washer. I purchased a very expensive set of Maytag washer & dryer (topload washer) and heavy duty larger capacity. Firstly- I purchased this through Home Depot on Labor Day weekend and did not receive this set until December 2020. This set has all the electronics and Im going to tell you NOT to purchase either one. The dryer MUST have a metal solid vent. This sets your dryer out into the walkway of a laundry room. If you use a heavy flexible metal vent; your sensor will be going off constantly telling you your vent is plugged and to clean it. I had a dryer vent company out twice to clean and inspect the wall & roof vents yielding nothing. I also have a dryer vent cleaner which I hook up to my vacuum and I clean the dryer vent monthly. If you lose power. You will need to unplug your dryer and let it reset to be able to use it.The washer is also terrible for the outrageous price. Again; glass heavy duty top load with all the electronics. You cant get the washer to fill even on deep fill. Also; do NOT put a lot of clothes or jeans or blankets in this machine. It will not be able to level and spin. When you try to use the drain and spin cycle; the sensor keeps going off. I swift the contents around and around and finally end up having to take soaking wet cloths out into the garage until I have one sheet in the machine and it will spin out. In addition- the CLEAN with Afresh mess. This forces you to clean your machine- whether you are in the middle of trying to get clothes drained or not.Buy something thats a simple workhorse with one button. Stay away from any bells and whistles because its only going to cause you heartache in the long run. I wish I would have read reviews prior to spending $1,700 on a Maytag Washer Dryer set (ON SALE- for God sakes). This is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever purchased. Buyer beware.

Washer Model MVWC555DWO. I dont like this machine. I thought Maytag is a good brand name, but I dont think so anymore. The engineers who designed these new machines with the water level saver dont do laundry. In order to get the cloth covered with water, I have to use the bulky sheet level. I have 2 jeans and a sheet that got holes in them, because the water level was not right. I would have my old machine repaired, if I have know how my new one would do. Im stuck with this machine. I dreaming that this machine breaks down soon and I can buy a new that has a better water level. My old one had water saver level too, but did a great job with the water level.

This is the WORST washing machine I have ever had. You cannot control how much water goes into the machine and the clothes being washed are not even covered by water. They stick out above the water at least a few inches!!! How can anything get clean if no water is touching it! I even add water into the machine at the beginning with jugs of water just to cover the clothes... the machine automatically gets rid of that extra water and when the wash cycle comes on again the clothes are not submerged! I paid A LOT of money for this awful machine and Maytag needs to do something about it! And, yes there is a sticky gummy substance on all the dark clothes! I even put clothes in the washer with a dirt spot on it purposely and the spot is always there when the wash is done. Nothing gets clean! DO NOT BUY this machine... you will be very sorry!!!

I bought this washer about 6 months ago and I seem to get clothes that just arent clean and have marks on my dress pants and my whites are awfully dingy. Never have I ever had white things that didnt stay white. I honestly would never buy this type of washer again. I am actually hoping that there is a way to at least change the water level. Also I hate the fact that I cant add bleach to the water before the clothes and to let the bin fill and mix correctly. I dont think the bleach even gets to the clothes.

Wish I had read the reviews! I have had Maytag before and they were awesome. New purchase is horrible! Doesnt clean the clothes, leaves a residue on clothing and dryer does not dry properly. Called Maytag and they said use Affresh. Spent $10 on a pack of 5, and it did no good. My dark clothing is getting ruined! The washer is also incredibly LOUD! Very disappointed in this company and would never recommend them to anyone! I had purchased at Lowes, but had a delayed delivery, so I cant take them back, or I would.

This Maytag dishwasher was purchased because Maytag has always been represented as a reliable brand. Wish I had done some research on this problem before repairing it! The control panel went bad after 18 months (and at least 6 months of this time it was not used at all!). The repair cost $300, the dishwasher only cost $429, and if I had realized how much this would cost I would have bought another dishwasher instead. Wonder how long this control panel will last? I called Maytag to complain and was told by Dana badge no. ** that there was nothing to be done as it was out of warranty. We have had dishwashers for 10+ years before that never gave us any trouble. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she told me she didnt have one! Really, how about if George Moore the CFO or Arthur Learmonth the President call me back on this one! We shall see what they say, but I can see by all the complaints about the same issue with Maytag dishwashers that we will probably be out of luck unless we start or join a class action lawsuit (looks like there is one in California already). I will amend this post if Maytag decides to stand by their product and at least pay for the cost of the control panel, but Im not holding my breath.

I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in 2010 model MDB6709AWW1. I only had it a year and the control panel went. They came out and replaced it and the guy told me that they were having a lot of the same problems. Now in 2015 it has gone again. It will run, but you cant change the settings. I took out the extended warranty on it and called 3 weeks ago and they sent out a local appliance repair company. This guy told me he had just come from another house with the same dishwasher with the same problem. He ordered the parts and I have been waiting 2 weeks. I called and the lady told me that they changed the part # and that they dont have any made yet and dont know when they will. WHAT!!! How can a company not have any parts made for their own dishwasher. I didnt buy the dishwasher when I bought all my other appliances, because there was a dishwasher here. It was gross and didnt work well. All my other appliances are Kenmore and I will stick with them. Have owned them for years and never had any problems.

Purchased a Maytag washer for my family of 8 because we do a lot of laundry and our Samsung washer failed after 3 years. I thought Maytag was a more reliable brand and was hopeful. The machine stopped working after less than 4 months of service. Manufacturers warranty repair came out and said it needed three new parts, motor, clutch and chip - said it would be another 2-3 weeks depending on parts. So all total without a washer for 4 weeks minimum - call the customer service people (first one was rude and short), 2nd one after 45 minutes on hold - told me the were no other options other than wait for the repair. Four months after a brand new washer and it failed. I requested a replacement option and they said no way. Their hotline talks about a positive customer experience and that seems to be a joke. Not helpful, super frustrated and they do not seem to care about the customer experience at all - terrible product and service

2 Year old washer. First the actuator was replaced. A 150.00 charge. Two months later the pump is shot. Another 200,00 to replace the pump. This is worst piece of ** washer I have owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

We have had the oven, a Maytag Gemini Double Oven model mgt8775xs02, for 3 weeks now and I am so upset. First off, I became violently sick from the oven when we first used it. I had a horrible headache and then nauseousness and then the worst stomach problems I have ever had. The toxic smells coming from the oven were too much for me. We had every window open. I looked online and found other people who reacted the same way to their new oven smell. But now we are on the 4th time using the oven. We did a self-clean and I thought that would help but no, it smells like someone is pouring gasoline into my home. I smelled it in pockets throughout my house. I have had the gas company out twice and a repairman. They all cannot figure out the problem. I looked online to see if other people were having a gas problem from this model and I am not finding it. It is horrible. I feel like I am being poisoned. I have not had a working oven in 2 and half years and I was so excited to get this oven and now my new oven is making me so sick. I am not sure what to do from here.

As many other reviewers have mentioned there is a defective control panel in the Maytag Dishwasher series MDB 7749. I too purchased this model at Home Depot and did not buy the extended warranty. The serviceman indicated that this model is known for its defect yet Whirlpool who owns Maytag does not have it on its recall list. I wrote to the President twice in Sept. 2017 without the courtesy of a response and now learn that he retired effective Oct.1. Is there no-one to answer his emails or is it more likely they really dont care. Sears just dropped them and who knows where their new president will lead this company. Be aware that this model dishwasher is defective and they wont replace the control panel. Too bad as once Maytag before Whirlpool bought them out, was a good and honorable company.

Purchased top of the line Gemini oven a few years ago. Lower oven stopped working. Maytag repair said igniter not installed properly at factory. I contact Maytag customer service to see if they would help with repair cost. Rude response from them... basically saying anything fails after 12 months not our fault. Rejected my request without even asking details about product which model etc. Unilateral rejection. Horrible customer service. I will never purchase Maytag appliance again. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Avoid this company and their products. They do not a good product and they provide terrible customer service.

I bought a Maytag Top Loader. I soon discovered that it is not possible to do a cold water wash. After much communication with Maytag Customer Service it was determined that there is no way to bypass it. And it uses a lot of hot water, even on a cold wash. Their explanation was that the water needed to be a certain temperature to make the detergent work effectively. The same detergent that I’ve been using for 40 years with cold water in my Speed Queen. When I need to do a cold water wash, I go to my parents home and use their washer. Disappointing purchase, my last Maytag, for sure.

We had a Maytag washer and dryer for over 32 years, the same washer and dryer. Finally our washer failed. We thought it would be a good idea to stick with Maytag. My husband purchased the Bravos XL Maytag washing machine. It is the worst washing machine ever and I regret the purchase. The washing machine doesnt clean clothes. If you use a powdered soap of any kind it leaves residue all over your clothes due to the fact it doesnt use enough water. It binds everything up. It becomes unbalanced with any larger load. Completely ties your sheets and your pants into knots. Yes literally I pull my clothes out and they are in a knot. The washer started to leak about two months ago after having it for a year-and-a-half. We couldnt locate the leak so we had to call a repairman and it cost us over $240 in parts and labor.

I spent extra money on a commercial grade Maytag dryer $1300 before taxes because it had a 10 year warranty. The motor and drum quit - and Maytag refuses to honour the warranty. I am appalled by their dishonesty and lack of integrity. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I bought my washer just over 3 years ago and it started making loud clicking noises and it seems like the agitator function is not working at all. I have a repairman coming over in a few days. I knew I should have gotten the extended warranty!

I have a Bravos washer model # mvwb45owqo and matching dryer. The price for the pair was $1347.00 plus tax. The washer and dryer were bought Jan 14 2010. 10-10-13 the pump went bad and was replaced. I paid $ 221.00 to have it replaced. 10-31-2013 I was washing a load of cloths and it was very noisy. I call the local dealer and they come out and said that it needs a drive shaft tub part #w10193886. I would be about $300.00 to replace the part. Also they charge $75.00 for a service call. I called Maytag and talked to Ashley (**) from customer service and she said they could not give me any help that the washer was too old. I might also add that my last washer was 3 years old and the motor needed to be replaced. It was also a Maytag. I always thought if you paid more money for quality it was worth it. I am sorry I did not buy a cheap machine from Sears or somewhere else. It would of been 1/2 of the cost and I could of replaced it after 3 years or so if necessary and still been money ahead. We also have 4 rental homes that have all Maytag in it. I will be holding my breath that they are not junk also. I will tell everyone I know not to buy Maytag and I will never own anything that has the Maytag name on it again.

I purchased a Maytag washer 5 months ago. I noticed the washer was not putting enough water in the machine to cover my clothes, and at the end of cycle my clothes would be all tangled up. A repairman looked at it and said there was nothing he could do. Do not buy this washer. It is a lemon. I even spoke to the main customer service representative, he was the most arrogant man I have ever felt with. He basically said deal with it. I want. I want my money back so I can purchase a washer that actually works.

I purchased a Maytag Bravos line washer model # mvwx500xwo back in Oct. of 2010 thinking that it would be great to save money on the water bill. I first had issues with it putting holes in my clothes. I then found out if you do not zip up all zippers and button all buttons, the machine will rip them up due to the high speed spin cycles. Now, the washer will not fill with water or start the wash cycle. I mean really, its less than two years old and I have to shell two hundred plus dollars to fix a washer that only cost $500. I guess I know what brand not to shop for next.

My original Maytag washer lasted over 25 years (still using dryer purchased in 1977). But the Maytag model SAV 4655AWW I bought a few years ago is a piece of junk! Not long after it was out of warranty, it started making noise. Not overly loud, but noisy. Since then, though it makes such a loud noise, you can hear it 3 rooms away. It leaks water from the seals, shakes and vibrates all over the place (even when level). The rocking appears to be due to pathetic self-leveling legs they put on the back of the washer. I had to put a 2x4 on the back side of the washer to keep it stable. That took care of the rocking, but still noisy, leaking water and now it gets off balance when spinning and stops. It also wont start sometimes and you can smell it overheating. The transmission is now going out of it. This thing has been one issue after another. What is worse about it is I saw in another forum that this washer wasnt even made by Maytag. Supposedly Maytag bought? After the purchase, they just put their name on it. I bought a Maytag because of the dependability of their previous products, so Im thoroughly disappointed in their company and products. If I had wanted a washer built by some other company, I would have purchased it versus theirs. If you purchase a Maytag, you expect to get a product designed and built by them. Ill never buy another Maytag product and Ill thoroughly research the product Ill buy to replace this hunk of junk. My advice would be dont waste your money on Maytag.

Good deal, recommended by dealer friend. Front loaders, high efficiency, 12 years or so. Finally needs new bearings on the washer. Replaced electronic board 5 years ago. High repair costs would be the worst which is related to low-quality construction. I expect my next pair to last as long as the last 1. Full size, not stackable but oversized drums. Relatively low water usage, lots of different settings for different loads for washing and drying, automatic water level and wrinkle guard.

Had this front loading washer 13 months when the circuit board failed. I pitched a huge fit as Maytag wanted to charge me 75% of a new washer for the circuit board replacement. Fortunately they caved. I like how well it spins out and washes well. The door gasket is hard to keep clean. Has fresh setting so clothes do not get moldy if you leave them too long.

I have always thought of Maytag being the quality manufacturer of appliance products. We purchased a Maytag microwave (MMV4205DH-1) and after just two years it has begun to give us grief (we are in our early 70s, no family at home, so appliance receives medium usage). We constantly get the open/door message when we are trying to set the timer for operation. We open and close, open and close, etc. Just yesterday my wife noticed a slight crack on the door just below the handle, most likely due to frequent open and closing. Went online and read a number of reviews and found many others have had same or similar issues. Done with Maytag.

The big problem is Lowes and Home Dopey, I mean Depot. I am an appliance repairman for 30 years. Their machines are built to a lower spec. Buying same machine from mom n pop store will help! Will cost you more but it will last longer with less repairs! P.S., While Maytag does make some of their own appliances, when Whirlpool bought Maytag years ago they shut down the Newton, Iowa plant. Whirlpool builds that washer and puts Maytags name on it. If you want a good washer buy a Speed Queen, go online and check their reviews! One more thing, LG and Samsung build terrible appliances. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them, just saying!

I purchased a Maytag washer from Badcock. Within 7 months the control board went out. It was down for nearly 6 months. I had to use a laundromat until I finally rented one from another place. Now again months later the control board is out again (F2F3 Call Service). Due to long wait time luckily I have another warranty but am being told I have to wait 2 weeks before a tech can come look at my washer, and that they wont have a loaner or cant just get me a new washer being the problem is THE SAME! Spent hours on hold only to be told to wait AGAIN! I would NEVER recommend dealing with this company. They used to be top of the line, but clearly not anymore.

We purchased Maytag Dishwasher MDB5601AWW/46171101NP when we built our new home. In the last several months, water was leaking out onto the floor. We called Maytag and they told us there was a recall on the heater element and that they would send the part out. We made sure they knew the reason for our call--TO REPLACE THE GASKETS!. Maytag contacted a local authorized repair person. When they called to set up appointment, my husband reminded him about the gaskets. The guy showed up without gaskets, saying Maytag didnt put it on the order! We called Maytag to set up another service call. The guy showed up again today without the gaskets. We were told they had to be ordered and that he would have to come out again! Three service calls for one issue! Aside from this, the circuit board has never worked right. We push the correct buttons, but never know what kind of cycle we will get. We learned to live with it. Our bottom racks are melted as well as the sides of the dishwasher. Now that we know about the heater element being defective, this may be the cause of the bad gaskets and melted racks. It will cost almost $300 just to replace gaskets, and yes, we have to pay a service call for it when it could have been done in the first place. We called Maytag to complain and were told that replacing the gaskets always takes two service calls--one for diagnosis and the second to put in part. They said they dont take the customers word for it when we tell them whats wrong!

We purchased our Maytag Elite dryer almost a year ago. Began to have problems with it several weeks ago. We first tried to correct the problem through the store where we purchased it. After three failed service repair visits the technician recommended we call Maytag directly. We did. Another service appointment was set up. The repair guy determined there was nothing wrong with our dryer (?? It wasnt drying on one of the heat settings!!) but said he would come back and replace the front sensors anyway. After he left I called Maytag again. Explained why I was frustrated. I was told that since the repair guy said nothing was wrong with the dryer there was nothing further they could do for me. Further attempts at repair had to be at my expense. I was incredulous to say the least. The dryer doesnt function properly on the normal heat setting, but because the repair guy cant find the cause I am therefore just out of luck?I will never, ever purchase another Maytag product. I am shocked that they will not stand behind a product that is still under warranty. After only 11 months of use I am stuck with a dryer that will only dry on high heat?! How can a single service visit by their repair guy (whom is on their payroll) be the final say? No second opinion? Is he infallible? Simply unbelievable.

Bought brand new Maytag dishwasher. Worked great for 3 years. Then caught on fire. Couldnt contact maytag for a month because when you call your on hold for 30 minutes. Then when I do contact them they will only want to give 50%off another of their products that Ive already had catch on fire. I will never buy another one ever.

We purchased a Maytag refrigerator and right away had a loud noise. Found out the ice maker was on even though we dont have it hooked up. Now our freezer isnt working. Food is defrosting and ruined. Bottom half of refrigerator is freezing everything. Our fruit and pop and water and lettuce all frozen. 4th time they came which is today. Now says our freon is low so well see what happens. The repairman was so rude he was yelling. We said our Popsicles turned to slush so he said, Dont buy any. He was so nasty. No more Maytag for us – waste of money. Even had the compressor replaced. Wasted 1100.00.
